LG manufactory is s good and reliable appliances. They are also stylish and trendy. I especially like the ones with the ice makers. I also like the side by side doors and the newer models. They are really terrific appliances. I love them and their electronics as well. I really wouldnt change a thing with LG and theres nothing I dislike about it. They do initiate all expectation. They are very dependable.

I bought an LG French door ref. in May 2014, now is rusting on the doors. I contacted LG and they say it is not covered under warranty. They say it is cosmetic. I paid apx. $2,000.00 for it. It is the stainless steel doors that are rusting and I believe that is not cosmetic as it is the door not the look of it. They have been anything but helpful and I will never again buy, not recommend them to anyone. I have cancelled my other order for a dishwasher. I have other stainless appliances by other companies and they are older and just fine.

I have contacted this company over 20 times in the last 11 days to get my refrigerator that’s less than 60 days old fixed or replaced. Water and ice maker stopped working and then the unit stopped cooling. They want to keep “sending” Casper out here to fix it. No one shows up!!! Then make me wait longer. Lost 3000 for refrigerator and then lost 1000+ for foods and they just keep playing games!!! Lawsuit coming. I’m done!

We have had the worst experience with our front load LG Washer. It does not wash clean, the clothes come out dirty. It does not wash and rinse with enough water, sometimes when a load is in the rinsing stage I look inside, I can see some part of my clothes are still looking dry... I have been doing laundry for 30 years, I had Whirlpool, Samsung washers, I never encountered any problem. With LG it is a headache, I never had to use bleach, now I find myself using bleach when washing my towels. This is not my only problem. The machine displays 53 minutes for a cycle but then the whole process ends up taking like 2 hours. Our machine is under warranty so we called them twice and both times the repairman came and basically said that there is nothing wrong with our machine, it is doing what is supposed to do. I believe that it was not built right, there was be some errors in the way they designed it. It should not even been called LG washing machine, it should be called LG dirtying machine. I will never buy any LG products again.

It was on sale and I had the extra money at the time and I have to take advantage of the sale at the time so I went ahead and bought it. Sleek general design and finish to give me the feeling of middle class home and in that case reminds me to do a little better so I can get the smart fridge again. It even suggested things for me and was just all around wonderful. I really do miss having the ultimate control not just a fridge.

The washer is leaking out of the back. There is evidently a flap that is faulty. The service call is $90.00 plus parts. My son bought the same washer and is having the duplicate problem. It seems that the company should recall the leaking flap on all the washers with this problem. The service people who do not like working on LG are saying that it is difficult to get the parts and the machines are troublesome to repair.

I purchased a whole house full of LG appliances in October of 2011 (Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Stove, Microwave/hood, and refrigerator). I have had many issues with the washer. The washer worked fine initially and gradually started having issues from unbalanced loads to not spinning enough and leaving the clothes soaked requiring extra spin cycles. I purchased this particular model for the load capacity. You would think it would be able to handle what it was made for. In August of 2013 LG sent out a recall for unbalanced load issue. An Authorized repair company came out and did the software update. Frankly the full of clothes and water with the lid locked from no power. They replaced the board (reluctantly) and we were operational until April of 2014 when the board blew again. Our first course of action was to call the authorized repair company back, but they would not talk to us over the phone and wanted to come out and charge us for a service call to service the machine as well as labor to replace the part, if in fact they felt they should warranty it. LG also no help at this point, the machine was out of warranty and not their problem. Since we knew what the problem was and were not fond of repair company anyway, we ordered the part ourselves online and put it in. This one lasted all the way to almost the end of September 2014, again blowing with the machine full of clothes. I have now purchased a new machine (not LG) and will be sending LG copies of all the paperwork, from original purchase all the way to current purchase. I doubt they will do anything for me, the machine is clearly a piece of junk sitting in my garage. Unfortunately, this is not the only one of their appliances I have had issues with. The microwave has had just about every part in it replaced in the span of a couple months, some of the parts multiple times. This was also a big hassle to get repaired. The LG tech fixed it the first 2 times and then it got pushed to yet another authorized repair company, for multiple visits changing out a part at a time. It would have been cheaper for them to just give me a new one. LG is now banned from my house. I will never purchase another one of their products, no matter what it is. I also recommend to everyone I know, to stay away from the Large Garbage. So far they have not stood by their products. I did not purchase an extended warranty, but I have never had issues like this with any appliance I have ever purchased and they have lasted well over 3 years. Not to mention these dealers want to charge at least 1/2 of the purchase price for these extended warranties, which is ridiculous.

After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

I have only owned it for two years but Im very happy... it was a gift so I did not have an opportunity to shop for it. But I believe in the integrity of the LG brand over some of the other offerings. I have been happy with the design of the stainless steel unit and how it blends in to my kitchen with other stainless steel appliances. I enjoyed the design of the refrigerator freezer and its many compliments. The deli drawer perfect for small items like yogurt containers and cheese and deli. Had to rearrange the shelving to allow for taller items like milk, juice, ice tea etc. though. I would also improve the freezer compartments with additional shelving.

We purchased a LG 3 door fridge with ice and water two years ago. Did some updating in the kitchen and decided it would be nice to have one last new one... The one we replaced it with was a 25+ year old side by side GE... Still worked fine, never did a repair to it, but this LG was so pretty.. All electronic computerized.. Almost two years to the day we got it, it has died taking everything stored in it with it? This is so disheartening for retired people that just want one last nice thing in their lives... I bought a new LG washer and Dryer, and a new 70 inch LG tv... Praying these don’t go out like the fridge! Be cautious about buying an LG!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and purchased all new LG appliances; refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric stove all from Home Depot. The fridge and dishwasher have been trouble free, but the model LG LRE3045/SB stove has been trouble since day one. The touch control panel has intermittently worked. On some days, this group of controls works and these others dont, sometimes nothing at all. Calling LG customer service, we were told to unplug the stove and plug it in after a 10 or more second delay. Sometimes that has restored some functions but never all the functions. Tonight, I have plugged and re-plugged several times, all to try and get the start button to engage. It was no success. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. The unit is out of warranty, even though we have documented this issue with them years before.

They said they dont make a replacement drawer for my model and they sent me the closest one which doesnt fit because its not for my refrigerator. They did refund my money and I now use the old drawer with duct tape. And dont even get me started on the ice maker. The LG refrigerators look nice but are made very poorly. We bought a home with an LG French door freezer on bottom refrigerator. The compressor failed suddenly, we lost all of our food. I’ve since learned from other stories that LG compressors are not reliable. When I called LG, I was told that because we did not know when the unit was purchased, they would only honor their seven year sealed system repair warranty from the date of manufacture, which was (drumrolls) seven years and three months ago. Despite the fact that the refrigerator was very likely purchased less than seven years ago, they would not pay for the repair. We decided not to go forward with the repair, as I am uninterested in paying for repairs to a shoddy product. We bought a new refrigerator, naturally not an LG. We won’t be considering any LG products in the future, as any company that would cut corners with a central element of their product, and then treat customers in such a rigid, bureaucratic manner is not to trusted.

We own a french door LG with Ice in the door. The box worked flawlessly for the first two years. Since then it has been nothing but a long effort to get the ice maker to work. There have been no less than 10 service calls trying to fix the ice maker. They replaced PC boards, ice makers, ice dispensers etc etc. The final fix was a motherboard, ice controller board and a new door. This repair lasted about 3 weeks and then the box quit making cold and we lost all the food. The service company that provided the repairs was competent enough, but the box is just a piece of junk. We had a terrible time just getting repair service for the last failure. According to our service contract we should have been given a new box after the third repair. I have called them time and again and cannot get them to move on replacing the box. I cannot tell you how utterly frustrating it has been to get this box repaired. We were given a loaner box from Home depot after the LG quit entirely. The box is not working and we still have the loaner from Home Depot. Hurrah, for Home Depot. My only words for anyone who buys an LG is you better have another fridge and you better buy a good service contract.. Forget about an ice maker, they just dont work.

We purchased a brand new LG french door refrigerator (bottom drawer freezer and 2 door refrigerator with ice and water in the door). We purchased it through Home Depot for $2200 in April 2016. We researched and shopped around and felt good about the purchase. Didnt buy extended warranty - why would we... its a brand new fridge with manufacturers warranty and solid company right?? WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

We have a four-year-old LG Dishwasher (LDF6920ST) that caught fire at 2 am in the morning a few weeks ago. Thankfully, our oldest son was awake and heard a loud popping noise that caused him to investigate and we were able to turn the unit off before it burned down our kitchen. The repairman who looked at the unit found that the main circuit board in the door caught fire. It is important to note that the motor has burned in the unit as well. A member of the LG executive team that works on these problems told me that fires happen in all sorts of LG appliances and that they repair the unit! We are completely afraid of this product, based on the many other examples of fires we have read about and we want a refund. Dont buy LG.

I purchased LG washer and dryer (WM8100HVA, DLGX8101V) at the end of November 2019. On Dec 7 I called LG warranty center and report problem with Dryer. Because Covid 19 the past two weeks I was not able to contact LG center. When I was able connected somebody on the line (person from Philippines) inform me my warranty expire a few day ago and they can send tech ($ 125 charge in advance no refundable for evaluation and the tech will quote the final cost of the repair). Is this is the LG policy to respond to customer during this Covid 19 when we try protect each others? (I dont wanted tech coming to my house and get infected.) After simple troubleshooting I realize the problem is electronic board EBR 765 195 14 which I ordered at Searsparts.com for $ 152. I see online customers review. This is a systematic problem with these types of LG dryer. The electronic boards are creating issues. Is the LG planning to recall this product?

I bought a LG fridge in 2009. Within the first year, there was a recall on some part in the freezer which they did replace. Now, it is 2012 and I have had to have this fridge fixed 3 times at my own cost which cost me over $100 each time. My repairman says the problem is with the drain plug, a problem which LG is fully aware of. The hole around it rusts and the paint chips peel and plug up the drain, which in turn causes water in the freezer and on the floor. The fridge goes warm and the cool air cant get there. I just redid my kitchen floor the same year that I bought the fridge and the leaks are starting to cause warps in the flooring. I am so angry with this company for being able to sell such a shabby product and not having to be held accountable. I will never buy another any LG product on the market. This company is a disgrace!

I was so excited to finally get a new refrigerator and just loved it. Unfortunately within months (it is less than a year old) I began to get rust lines on the front of my new french door refrigerator (LG LFC247700ST). It is on 4 of the corner areas of the door where there was no protective film placed on it for shipping. LG web support had no answer except that I could use a stainless steel cleaner on it, which I had been using. Since the front of the fridge does not hold a magnet, I assume it is not real stainless steel so why would there be rust? Very disappointed.

My family member purchased this brand new refrigerator and in six months the ice machine was not working. We called LG for service and their diagnostic testing resolution was to not open the refrigerator door too often. We responded that opening the doors should not cause the ice machine to malfunction. We reset it; and eight months later the compressor goes. This thing is a lemon. What saved us from further expenses is the fact we had purchased the extended warranty. We did lose food and LG reimbursed us up to $300.00 for the loss. There is no way that a $4000.00 fridge should be breaking down this fast. We have had models costing far less (hundreds) that has lasted 15-20 years: the repair man stated these smart models will only be lasting 6-8 years. Ours hasnt lasted six months to just over a year. My advise, keep it simple, and avoid LG products. There was a local news story that LG contracts out the parts production to many different smaller companies all over the world, so they cant be blamed for their lemons. One must sue the parts company.

He also knew about the first lawsuit that was dismissed. (Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

I contacted them Aug 16 asking for an update, and again on Aug 22, to which they replied that they would be happy to look into this for you.On Aug 27, I got a message saying that the part should arrive that day. The tech we hired came 2 days later to install. So... after 2 months of living out of a cooler, we had our refrigerator back. As I said in my original review, the refrigerator is perfect for us, I love it. Unfortunately, I wouldnt buy another LG product, ever. If they start giving them away for free, Id be in line, but, nope. Not spending any money on their products. I still stand by the one star rating.

We purchased a LG Washer and Dryer on March 26th 2011. On September 23rd 2011, the Washer (WT5101HW) created a very large bang and on inspection, we found the washer had rotated more then 100 degrees on itself, luckily not tearing the water lines from the connections. The top portion of the machine, lid and control panel, were no longer connected to the main chassis and were lying to one side. The drum was not on any of its mounts and the side panels around the drum were all pushed out, as if there had been an internal explosion. I now have two significant holes in the dry wall walls on either side of the unit and the thought that if any of my children were in the vicinity when this happened, they could have experienced serious injury or worse. We are in the process of working with LG on this issue but after reading the list of complaints about LGs lack of customer support, I am not optimistic of a satisfactory resolution.

I love the side by side with the see thru door for drinks. Just knock 2xs on the window and it lights up so you can see in the door before opening to get a drink. It has sensors so if you dont close the doors completely they go off. Ice maker inside freezer, didnt want water on the door, last one leaked and never could fix it. Once and roomy and nice shelves and easy to clean, plenty of freezer space. Nice veg bins and meat bin. Stainless, love it.

From day 1, my machine leaked. I called and was told it was due to using too much detergent. I thought that may be the problem and used below the normal line every cycle. Still sporadically, there are leaks below the machine. As I called and was told over and over again, my machine is fine. I let my machine go out of warranty. Now beyond leaking, it stops mid-cycle often so I have to sit next to the machine while washing clothes to restart it and finish cycles. Beyond that, sometimes it gets stuck at 9 minutes left and starts spinning and stops spinning over and over again. Beyond that, when it is filling up, the valves close so quickly it causes all the pipes in my house to shake and bang causing leaks in pipes. Something needs to be done about this. LG should stand behind their product.

My washing machine worked perfectly fine until LG decided to do their famous recall fix.... in which they insisted that we have done or our warranty would be null and void. What they should have said is, “We know you bought this top of the line washing machine, and it works fine but throw it in the trash bc when we send someone out to do this mandatory update, it will NOT work at all!!!!! Sign me up for any class action suit against them.... I have a family of 7 and a washing machine that is not functioning is not an option!!!!

On Feb.3, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. A complaint was lodged with complaint no. **. A mechanic came on the 4th night and told me some parts were burnt and will be replaced on Monday, Feb. 5, 2012, but he did not turn up. Contacting him, he said parts were not available. I have 5-year warranty. This is the first time it happened. Model no. MH4048GWADRQEIL, serial 013EMKUOO6301. Date of purchase, 26/4/11. AMC end date, 24/4/17 - 5 years. Now what should I do? Extra 5 years warranty was purchased and here I am helpless. Should anybody believe that parts are not available on such a huge company running throughout the country? Request to repair immediately. Thanks.

I bought a LG refrigerator. After 2 years the display window started to go black. I call LG and the store I bought it from (Pacific Sales). The LG representative was no help. She gave 2 numbers to call for repairs. One said he was not accepting new business and the other said I was out of his service area. Pacific Sale said I did not buy the extended warranty, they could not help me. This is obviously a manufacture defect. I have never used any kind of cleaner of liquid on this refrigerator. I would recommend not buy LG Refrigerator.

The LG refrigerator I purchased in October 2017 failed to freeze or cool on August 8, 2020. I called Appliance Service Center USA, waited online for 20 min and asked for service. They offered ASAP, I said yes, they said the soonest would be August 18! ASCUSA said I could buy a countertop refrigerator or rent one and they would decide if they would pay for it! The tech arrived and looked at the unit for 5 min. and said the compressor failed. He said he does not know why he was sent because he didnt work on that repair. He asked for a new service date and said they would call me. New service date would be August 24! The unit was repaired with a new compressor but who knows how long this one will last. Two things here, dont purchase an LG refrigerator and if you make that mistake, plan on no repair service for weeks. Who needs a working refrigerator anyway!! What a disaster....

Purchased a new LG Steam dryer-DLEX3370W and washer in June 2018. Within 2 months of purchasing the dryer would not come on. Interior light would come on but electronic panel lights would not, so it is a bad board. Called LG for warranty service. Never received another call from them ever. Service repairman came 3+ weeks later with a front panel plastic part, knowing the dryer would not turn on. He threw the part in the box and stated LG sent him the wrong part. I stated I knew he orders parts not LG. LG confirmed this also. Said he would order a board and be back another day. I filed a complaint with him due to him lying about the part along with him not even opening the dryer to diagnose the problem. I have called LG every few days for 3 months now regarding the status. I am told pending. They asked for receipt of the purchase, I uploaded it to my claim. Then 2 weeks later asked for it again, uploaded it. Never in 3 months has anyone from LG called me to let me know the status. They refuse to give anything in writing also. This dryer has a lawsuit against LG due to the stream drawer and a house fire. After 10 weeks we finally purchase a new dryer and expect they would reimburse us due to not being able to find another repair company to come out to our area. They asked me to upload the receipt, I did, along with our Governors state of emergency in our county due to flooding in Texas, I did that also as asked. Today, 11/8/18, I called and spoke with a Supervisor in Executive Services who was not customer friendly, stated the claim had been denied last month! No notification, nothing! I asked for the address to send a small claims notification letter. LG Legal Dept, PO Box 24007, Huntsville, AL 35813. We will be filing a suit not honoring the warranty of a 2 month old dryer. FYI, a lawsuit was filed for a house fire due to the steam drawer.

My LG refrigerator stopped cooling on June 26, 2021, so I called LG customer service to schedule a service appt. The young lady told me that my fridge was still under the warranty. I only purchased it in 2017. The warranty says 10 years for the compressor. They said someone would contact me to schedule an appt. No one called me so I called the number customer service provided. The service agent told me he would be at my house on July 6, 2021, but no one showed. I immediately called customer service back to let them know their people were a no-show, and they did not even call to say they were not going to make it. So the customer service rep. told me that someone would be out to fix the problem in 2 days July 8, 2021. I also lost food trying to preserve it thinking someone would come out in a reasonable time to fix it. In two days another no-show. I emailed a letter to the companys liaison to the president of the company, she called and I told her what happened. I also filed a claim for reimbursement for my lost food. I asked could I get a replacement refrigerator since no one has come out to fix it. The response was I will put in another order for service. They said they cannot replace it, and made a prorated offer for the fridge and an offer for compensation for the food after some negotiating on my part. As it stands it has been a month with no word back from them. I have reached out numerous times, kept all my correspondence with the company. I had to go into debt to purchase another refrigerator because the freezer also went out on it. I have not received a check for the food neither have I heard anything back from the company about a counteroffer for this broken fridge. I only asked for less than $100 dollars more to help toward my other fridge since they said they could not replace it. I will never buy another LG product again. I am still waiting to hear from them and I have been calling 1-888-412-8357 for the RA department to speak with someone, but no one answers the phone. I have waited several times for at least an hour listening to a recording. They dont care about their customers.

Bought LG DLE3170 dryer about 3 years ago. In 6 months I started to get troubles with lint screen. During the spinning the screen would start to rise up above the edge on 3-5 mm, just enough to catch the piece of cloth. Then it would swirl it to a tightrope, which would bring along other pieces of clothes and all of them tight up in one huge spiral. At the beginning it have happened extremely rare, but last few months it happens pretty frequently. I tried to level up the dryer to perfection, but it didnt help. Seems that the screen is simply too big and doesnt stay in place for longer than 1 minute even when the dryer off.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

We are without a washing machine and LG does not stand behind their product
We are without a washing machine and LG does not stand behind their products. From all the reviews, it appears we do have enough people to level a class action suit against LG. Are you in? We purchased a LG front-loading washing machine in November 2014 from Home Depot. When the machine was delivered, there was rust inside the drum. We called Home Depot and complained and two weeks later (a month and a half after purchase) we finally received a new washer. Around the end of June 2015, (6 months) I noticed a loud notice when the clothes were washing, it sounded like the drum was rubbing. I mentioned it to my husband who told me it was nothing. In July the noise was getting louder so I called LG for service. The customer service was atrocious! They told me that the technician was only available on 1 day and that if I was not available, then I would have to call back because they did not have a schedule for the technician the following week. I asked the representative to call me back when they had a schedule and he agreed, but I never got a call back. I called the following week and again I was told they only had a schedule for Tuesday. I asked for a supervisor, Cherry, who advised me to keep Wednesday, Thursday and Friday open for the technician and that she would call me. I asked her to have a member of management call me and she said they would call me back in 48 to 72 business hours. After 96 business hours, no one called me back, so I called again. A supervisor, Vincent, said he would get a technician out there on Monday. The technician arrived on Monday, and stated it was stator assembly and rotor assembly but stated hopefully it is not the drum, and that he would order the parts and be back on Tuesday to replace them. When he showed up on Tuesday to replace the parts, he said, oh no - the drum shaft is bent and that we would need a whole new rebuild of the machine. He then told my husband to call Customer Service because he could not order the parts (he was able to order them the day before) - that we needed to order them through Customer Service. While my husband was on the phone with Customer Service, the technician Nick just left. My husband then spent the whole day on Wednesday trying to get answers. Mid-day he was able to contact Sherry in the Executive Offices who told him she would research the issue and contact him by the end of the day about replacing the unit. She did contact him back and asked him to get the invoice because she did not have the information - however LG had the purchase date, model number and place of purchase. I then tried to contact Sherry the following day. Sherry indicated to me that she spoke to LG Management and that they refused to replace the machine but would order the parts for rebuild. When I asked Sherry when the parts would be in, and when we could expect the repairs to be done, she stated, The technician will give you a call when the parts arrive to schedule service. I then explained to her this was not acceptable to have a time frame and that I also wanted to keep the parts that are replaced for evidence. She told me she did not think I could do that, that decision would be up to the technician. I explained again that I was keeping the parts for evidence. My husband then called back and asked to speak with Sherrys manager. Amber, who answered the phone, said that she was Sherrys manager and there was no one above her to speak to. She stated that LG will not replace the machine, and that someone would call us when the parts arrive. We are without a washing machine, and LG does not stand by their products. NEVER, EVER, BUY LG. You will have dirty clothes and you will have $1000 less in your pocket! 10-year warranty - BS!

Sadly, we are having similar issues with our relatively new LG French Door top of the line refrigerator. About 6 months ago, the ice maker stopped working. I had to have it replaced -- thought it was covered by Geek Squad protection, but thats another story. NOW it just quit working. No signs or symptoms. Just yesterday it was fine, today everything is thawed. I called LG, tried to trouble shoot over the phone with the smart phone diagnostics which didnt register any information apparently, so I had to call a certified technician. Of course, the ONE that is within an hour of my home, cant even come to look at it for three days and probably wont have the part. The customer service lady did tell me that the compressor would be covered under the ten year warranty but the snarky receptionist for the technician told me only if I have the owners manual and the receipt. Really?? It is clearly a new fridge - ridiculous! Life is NOT good when you have six kids and no refrigerator for a week!

I purchased an LG Dishwasher 1 1/2 ago. My selection was based on price, look and features. So far, I can honestly say that it has been the WORSE dishwasher I ever owned. It looks very nice with the hidden panel, however, the options on that panel are only there for decoration; it makes no difference what option you select. Some of the dishes come out dirty, especially utensils which are neatly placed in the top drawer and well spaced. There is no drying cycle; dishwasher is completely wet hours after the cycle has ended regardless of the option selected. The biggest problem is the smell; this dishwasher smells SO, SO bad all the time. I cleaned the filter at the bottom but it made no difference. Technically, this dishwasher should last me many years, however, due to the poor performance, I will have to replace soon with a new one and for sure, I will never purchase an LG product ever again.

Im not too happy with my LG refrigerator after looking into a lot of information and a lot of reviews. Apparently, theres been a lot of problems with their compressors. And it doesnt seem like LG is proactive about going and fixing them because I finally had a problem with my compressor this year. The unit wasnt getting cold at all and we had noticed periodically where it felt like it wasnt cooling enough. We just chalked it up in the air whether it was too hot of a day or too cold of a day, and maybe we didnt have that, we had the house too hot and left it at that. And then, all of a sudden, within three days, it just stopped working.Trying to get LG to come out and fix the issue was like pulling teeth. Apparently though, LG was aware of what the issue was. They didnt give me any problems as far as getting it fixed. But there was a lot of miscommunication internally at LG because they gave me one company that they were gonna have fix the situation, and when I finally contacted them because I hadnt heard from them, they said, We dont work with LG anymore, and I had to call LG and tell them what the company said. So, we were gonna use this other company. It was the same thing. LG gave me the information for that company and I called them immediately. They said some of the same thing. Then finally, the third company was the one that still worked with LG. And then, that had taken almost two weeks to get my refrigerator fixed. At this point, it seems to be running properly. It seems to be making a little bit of noise. So, Im gonna contact the repair people and ask them to come check it out because it makes humming noise that it didnt make before.I have mentioned it to other people and as good friends of mine, they just bought the same refrigerator, and they experienced a similar problem to what we had. And we were told initially, Oh, its probably its seal, it didnt close right. But that was the way our problem started. And six months later, all of a sudden, the refrigerator went bad. But its a known problem with LG. My friends now are keeping a close eye on it.

I purchased the stove from Home Depot on March 29, 2011. My kitchen remodel was completed two months later, making the actual age of the stove approximately four months old. I dont cook on the stove often and only used the oven this one time. I placed a tray with dinosaur breaded chicken pieces in the oven at 350 degrees. Five minutes into cooking them, I heard glass shatter. I ran to the kitchen thinking a window had broken. I looked at the oven and the inside glass had shattered. I waited the weekend and called LG service on Monday. A service man came on Tuesday (Granville **). He came late. He trudged through my house with mud and looked at my paperwork for the stove. He poked at the broken glass and tiny pieces fell on the floor. He took pictures, closed the door, took a picture of the serial number, kicked the tiny of pieces of glass off his work boot and proceeded to leave my house. I stopped him and asked if the repair was getting done today. He said something about the LG company. I said, “Could you please tell me if the repair is getting done today?” He said, Call the company tomorrow. I said, “Tomorrow, I want my stove done today.” He said, Call the company. I cant do no more. I immediately called LG and they said, Werent you told to call tomorrow? I said, “I want to know today.” They put me on hold and said they would call the service man. When they came back on the phone, they said, “The service man notified us that it was negligence on your part that the oven glass broke.” Was it on my part? I put something in to cook. The glass shattered only on the inside pane of glass and blew apart into tiny pieces that flew all over my floor when I opened it. And I have a small child that could have been badly injured if he was playing near this monstrosity of a product. A service man came, poked his finger at the broken glass and more pieces fell on my spotless floor. He kicked his heel to make the ones on his boot fall off onto my floor and walked away leaving them there. And Im into day six without a stove and your company is telling me I can get it repaired if I pay for it. Should I pay for it? I dont even think this stove is safe with new glass. Something caused that glass to blow apart, whether the thermostat let the temperature get too high, the glass wasnt properly sealed, or the complete stove is defective. One thing is certain. I did nothing wrong to cause this to happen. And the replies I keep getting, that are made to make me feel like a liar, are totally sickening. I have LG washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and seven wall unit air conditioners. And you mean to tell me that I never made a single complaint. But the one and only time I do, Im at fault? Did I deliberately or by mistake broke a window out of my oven? Absolutely not. I bought all these products in good faith. I even bought extended warranties on some. At the first sign of trouble, your company turns its nose up at me. What a disgrace!

We purchased our washer 4 years ago. This was our first front loader so we went for the top of line (or so we thought). Clothes dont get thoroughly clean, get an awful smell even leaving the door open. The best part the bearings go bad. Sounds like a jet engine in my house. Will now be without a washing machine for several weeks while parts are ordered, then another appt to do the repair. Only to be told once its fixed it will probably only last another couple years. Will never buy LG or a front loader again. The machine is junk!

I believe I should have read all the comments people made on LG products before making my purchases. Sadly, I now have to be among the complainers, in Aug 2016 Ive purchased all LG appliances. I am already experiencing issues with the refrigerator and service. Refrigerator is constantly running, I swear it may stop for 5 min and run for hrs. I am tired keeping track. Ive called and emailed LG, their response was perhaps the doors and leveling need adjustment. In short, I contacted the store that I made my purchase from, & was told to call the warranty dpt. & when I did, the earliest that the technician can come out to check it out is mid-Sept. OMG what have I got myself into. Nobody needs to go through all this. Come on manufacturers start getting serious and listen to what people are saying. We are not just making noise, these are legitimate concerns and complaints. As consumers, we are paying high prices for appliances we should get good years of use without complaints.

I bought an LG 2.0 Microwave from Home Deposit. After only 3 months it started making horrible noises each time the glass turntable rotated. I called LG customer service. I was told to submit my invoice by PDF and would receive a refund check. That info was received. Two weeks later a different LG customer service employee wanted me to sign a waiver before they could issue a check. They also wanted photos of the metal serial number even though they were verbally given to them the first time. BTW: They don’t repair microwaves, but supposedly and eventually cut you a check for another LG microwave upon proof of purchase. Of course they never explained that initially as their rules change with every contact. I told the CS rep. after the fourth call to me (forget about trying to contact them) that I use a microwave every day and can’t wait weeks or months for them to reimburse me.Besides, why would I want to buy the same LG microwave again. I got another brand of microwave the day after the defective one. This is exactly where they want you. You are skeptical of LG microwaves, you bought another brand, so basically you will never be reimbursed for their defective product. This type of deception should result in a class action lawsuit. I believe that stealing $130 is a felony. They didn’t assign any order number to this case, but I have all their correspondence and screenshots of their acceptance of my submitted receipt.

I would never buy any product from LG (FH4B8QDA1) again. I bought a washing machine that within 6 months was marking my laundry with black streaks. I phoned LG who sent their local engineer. The man who came out said he had never seen such a clean washing machine (I used Calgon as per LGs care instruction in the booklet). He took some photos and said they would be in touch... but he thought the door seal would need replacing even though there was no marks on it at all! I never heard back from them. So I phoned LG again. LG said after the engineer had looked at the machine and made a report. It was because I was using Calgon to clean the machine and non bio laundry liquid. I wasnt entitled to another opinion as I had, had an engineer come out to me! The only thing I could do was to get an independent report on the machine. So I went back to the shop where I bought it and they knew someone who did reports. I had an independent report done on the machine and it was proven by two people and photos that there was grease in the bearings that was getting into the machine. After LG had the report it again took a very long time for any response and a lot of phone calls on my part. They accepted the machine was faulty and were going to replace it. I asked for compensation for all clothes and bedding that had been ruined and I had, had to replace. Suddenly there was nothing wrong with my machine and it was the fact that I used non bio!!! The shop I bought it at ended up replacing it for me. I would never recommend LG to anyone and their customer service is appalling. So much, that I havent even registered this new machine as obviously a guarantee doesnt mean anything anyway!!!

Im another LG hater, and will never even consider another of their products. Our 2-1/2 yr old washer leaves either a black or a white fish scale type residue, which is worse after cleaning the tub. After talking to LG several times, we were told we use the wrong detergent, the wrong tub cleaning product (both untrue) and that we should just keep cleaning it. Our other choice was to call a service person at our cost. We are retired, and do 3 - 4 small loads a week. This shouldnt be happening to an old machine, let alone a new one.

We have a 5 month old refrigerator that has not been cooling since 11/15/2016. A tech named Jerry came on 11/16/2016 and told us that he will need to call a supervisor for assistance moving the refrigerator in order to repair it but he will call us back that afternoon. (By the way, it’s on rollers. My husband and I were able it with no issue and I’m 7 months pregnant.)We did not hear back from Jerry until a week later on 11/21/2016 even after multiple voicemails. When we called customer service for assistance because we couldnt reach the tech we were told that there was nothing they could do until the following Monday. We went all weekend without a refrigerator and had to throw out ALL of our food. When a different tech finally showed up on Tuesday 11/22/2016 we were told it would be another week (after Thanksgiving) before repairs could be done. Now we have to wait until 11/28/2016 (please remember that the refrigerator stopped working on 11/15/2016).In the meantime I have no way of storing milk for my two-year old whos been eating fast food every day because we have no way of keeping food cold. I called and spoke with corporate supervisor LeeAnn who was extremely unhelpful and rude. She told me I’d just have to wait a week and didn’t offer any solutions or to help us a bit. From the second she came on the phone, she was argumentative and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. We’ve had to call all of our family and cancel Thanksgiving. I understand that it’s Thanksgiving week and that getting someone out to repair the refrigerator might be an issue; however, we actually called the issue in a week before Thanksgiving. If something had been done then we wouldn’t be in the predicament!

On Jan. 18, 2019 we purchased the above referenced microwave. It never worked when we brought it home, and Best Buy stepped up and just let us trade the non-working one for one that did work. Now, less than 3 months later, the machine stopped working overnight--lights and turntable work, but no heat or cooking is generated. Working with LG customer service warranty department is a nightmare. The customer service staff is very difficult to understand, when you are transferred to another department, there are very long wait times to connect, and instead of having it repaired locally, LG wanted me to pack it up and mail it to them. I have had LG equipment in the past and been satisfied. However, after this fiasco I will never buy another from them. All this hassle on top of not having a working microwave. My hope is that they will just pay me the purchase cost and let me get on with my life with a different brand. The customer service department and website are not user friendly at all.

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. Do you have other complaints against LG for this same problem? LG should replace my unit. I am willing to trade down just to get rid of this vibration! I have matching dryer. Together, these appliances were $1900.00!

Now shavings of metal has shown up in the ice. We have spent so much money on it. We have just turned the icemaker off and gone to using ice trays. This range has performed usually well. However, the burners on the stove dont really heat up to fit the pot that one would cook with. Meaning, that when you turn the burner on to fit a small pot, it still heats way above the pots diameter. The range stove top glass cracked early on. The other problem is that the stove had to be serviced to adjust the oven temperature and to have a new seal put on the oven door. It looks great and does the job, but I cant understand how the glass on the stove top cracked.

LG REFRIGERATOR AND ICE MAKER has been one of the worst experiences of my 63 years. It looks nice but try getting anything fixed or working period. After having a repair man out to troubleshoot the problem the LG company refused my repairman any help or input at all as he was not an LG licensed repairman. We live in Montana and the closest LG place was 3 hours away. That LG company repairman said if we would hall it to Bozeman they would look at it. My repairman has an excellent reputation and works on every other brand and an Appliance Repair Business. He now refuses work on anything LG as he has had NO luck getting any assistance from LG or their repairmen. Nor have I, as an LG Customer. Two weeks after replacing the ice maker, which never worked again, the refrigerator went completely out. Bought this LG fridge (model LFX31925SW) in 2013. In 2016 the linear compressor went out on it and we had to toss out all our food. We paid $90 to have it fixed (parts were covered under the 10 year warranty and labor under an extended warranty). It took almost 2 full weeks to get it fixed. Now, 3 years later the linear compressor has gone out AGAIN!!! This time the labor will cost us $540 to fix because the extended warranty we purchased through Home Depot expired. This fridge is going to the landfill and we will be purchasing a new fridge that is not LG. Its just ridiculous to need to replace such a major component every 3 years.

We noticed that one of exterior door panels has rust bleeding through the finish from top to bottom on just the one door. We purchased an extended warranty through Lowe’s. I was told it was cosmetic and therefore not covered. The warranty company suggested I contact LG to see if maybe they would do something to make it right. I called LG and explained the situation. The representative did not apologize or offer any kind of support. She just simply told me that it was a cosmetic issue and not their problem. I began to explain how crappy it was of them after I placed trust in their company when I chose to spend over $3k on fridge, she just hung up. Never again LG.

Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. 200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

Cooks great! Seriously DANGEROUS knobs, huge FIRE HAZARD! Purchased Nov 26, 2017 delivered December 21, 2017. No problems with the cooking features as I love this stove for that purpose. However, I did not have any issues with the knobs turning on by just a brush or bump or even just standing close & assuming static causing the problem UNTIL LG sent a new control unit which is the entire front portion of the stove above the door due to the finish falling off in big chunks just by wiping with a damp rag! I wish I had just had my new stove painted stainless at a local paint shop as I did remove the knobs when not in use for fear my house will burn down until I noticed the stems cause the burners to turn on even more than with the knobs on so now I trip the breaker to the stove and NEVER leave my house or go to sleep with that breaker not in the OFF position.I realized the burners actually heated up when I sat my cold bag with a gallon of milk I had just purchased on the stove top. Turned to go get another bag from car & came back in to a smoke filled kitchen & a melted cold bag including the entire bottom of the plastic milk carton with boiling milk all over the stove & running down the front of the door! It took approx 25 secs to grab the bag & return to the kitchen but I had sat the bag on the ultra burner unfortunately! It works very well! Now if the control panel is barely touched by a mere piece of clothing the broil turns on HI and my oven is locked yet the door is not shut so it’s not useable but it still turns on! LG will not assist you other than advising you to have a repair person come check it out & at your expense since the warranty is out. I wish I could say buy this stove you will love it but the Fire issue is the only reason I cannot. I now cut my breaker off to my stove before leaving my house or going to sleep! Also, I cannot get an answer from LG, but my lockout feature only prevents the oven from being turned on, it does not lock the stove top controls! I paid a little over $1300 for this stove. I am going to try to find a fix, either knobs that lock or a person to rewire my control panel to prevent the fire hazard! I will post a solution if I am able to find one that is inexpensive!

I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

LG WT1101CW Top load washer - I purchased this washer January of 2014. I read the reviews in consumer reports and that is how I came to purchase this washer. My issue with it is that I feel it has more control over me than I do over it. It uses less water and does not saturate the items and because it uses less water, when you add chlorine bleach it leave chlorine fade marks on white wash as well as a darker wash. This has happened many times and a lot of my items were ruined. I do not believe that Consumer Reports tested this issue on clothing. I have also had to rewash my clothing because the dirt just didnt come out. I currently have sent LG an email with regard to this issue. Today, I just purchased a Kenmore with an agitator and it has a water level that I can choose. Although it is 3.6 cf as opposed to 4.3 cf. submitted by serial number. CHLORINE BLEACH DISPERSEMENT AND WATER LEVEL IS THE ISSUE. I have gotten unbalance codes but machine works and is quiet but I want my laundry clean.

Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old and the compressor went out. Our freezer MELTED and the compressor got so hot that it could have started a FIRE! We have been living out of an ICE CHEST for 7 days and we are getting the run-around by customer service and subcontractors. I understand that there was a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against LG for defective compressors. I wish I had researched a bit more before purchasing an LG product. I give up. We are buying a new fridge today. It will NOT be an LG EVER. I will never buy another LG product again. I am disgusted by how we have been treated by LG. Their business model for maximizing profit is to wait you out. Well you win LG.

Less than a year old and poor customer service. We purchased a front load washer and dryer. Our dryer stopped working and would go from 1:55 dry time to 01 in a minute and would not dry. Repair people came to fix the problem. However it is still not fixed and washer is leaking and ruined our new wood floor in the process. I wanted a refund for a washer and dryer we purchased less than a year ago to purchase new and a different brand because we continue to have issues with it. Customer service was not helpful and said they don’t do refunds and that someone from repair has to state it is defective. As a full time teacher it is hard to find time to keep having people come to repair it and only to have different issues with it.

If you are in the market for any product that LG Global makes, BUYER BEWARE! I have a dryer that is less than 2 yrs old and I have been trying to get a courtesy repair since it’s the dryers electronic control board has gone bad! My dryer is less than 2 yrs old and warranty only covers 12 mos. The customer Service for this company is non-existent. “When” you get people on the phone you can understand, and you’ve spoke to 3 customer service people and so you ask for a supervisor and they say “I can’t do that”. There’s a huge problem.I am so furious and tired of each customer service rep asking for the entire history again snd then wanting to open a new call it gets RIDICULOUS. DOESNT ANYONE PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL YOU BACK TO HAVE A CONVERSATION? They don’t seem to care.??? DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE SCREWED WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN (and it will) AND THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR $$$ SO THEY DONT CARE!???

I am very disappointed at the integrity of the knobs. They look and feel like good quality, but I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!
