In 2012 we purchased an LG French Door refrigerator - the most expensive fridge weve ever had - to update our kitchen appliances. In 2013, the freezer section malfunctioned, food defrosted. Since we had the extended warranty, the freezer problem was repaired, but we still had the loss of food. Several months later, we discovered the food in the refrigerator section was freezing. After trying to adjust the temp according to the manual, we called the warranty insurance & since we have the gadget that is supposed to diagnose the problem, allow parts to come with the service person, had this done. Of course he had to order parts. White refrigerator, a black gasket arrived. More parts ordered. Weeks later, same problem. 2nd technician said 1st repair was not done properly, so more parts. More food loss each time. In March 2014, same problem with food freezing in fridge section. We have been waiting 3 weeks for proper parts (again, wrong color gasket seal sent - so another wait). Also yellow discolorations all over the white door, and neither LG nor the warranty insurance will cover this, as its considered cosmetic. So our nearly $3000 refrigerator is the worst appliance weve ever owned. Have complained to LG, nothing resolved. Can you say LEMON? Needless to say, when warranty coverage is over, appliance will be replaced and NOT with an LG!

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator a few years ago. Within a few months, all the plastic inside began to crack. It isnt from abuse. Its not from cleaning with harsh chemicals. Every piece of plastic in the top refrigerator is broken - those on the doors and those holding the glass shelves. The freezer drawers are held on the track with duct tape as the freezer inside is all cracked too. The egg holder is completely cracked also. Looks like dry rot. The parts that allow the drawers to pull in and out also fell apart and/or cracked. I am waiting for the plastic holding the bottom glass shelve which goes along the entire width of the fridge to finish cracking so far this one has a hairline crack.I wrote back and forth to LG who did nothing but tell me they would elevate my complaint higher - but I think they meant lower - as into the trash. It has been 4 months since I gave them my serial number to move the complaint along as they said right away. My entire refrigerator is held together with duct tape. Lucky me that duct tape comes in white now. This is a crime that this company gets away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit. I work hard for my money and this is just unacceptable.

In January of 2011, we purchased an LG dishwasher (Model LDF7920ST). We have had continual issues with the drainage system. A repair person has attended to this 3 times and again it is not draining. The dishes are not clean when they are run through a cycle and I have to manually pre-wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. LG does not stand behind their faulty or poorly made products. You can guarantee that we will never buy another LG product again.

Visiting technician (not his faults) says the linear compressor used in this LG refrigerator is noisy/louder than others -and suggest we install sound-dampening around the refrigerator. I regret purchasing this LG refrigerator - its louder than the GE we had before. Reminds me of my grandmothers noisy Kelvinator in 1959. Freezer frost is resolved by decreasing the amount of food we stored in the freezer, which was never an issue with our previous unit(s)?!?

Noticed rust around dispenser drawer and filter door. There has been no misuse or spillage, this seems to be happening due to over sloshing as dispenser is emptying during wash cycle. Also we saw on other reviews where this is happening to other washer brands as well and I would agree with one service man’s opinion that cutting corners on paint seems to be the problem as the paint is extremely thin on this machine. This is clearly obvious as the area where the problem occurred had to be sanded in order to stop the rust from running down the face of the machine and spreading rust all over my floor. I paid a huge amount of money for this machine and the matching dryer and pedestals when we remodeled our home, I wanted high-end look for the resale of our home. We have sold our home and personally I will not buy a new set for the home we are building even though I loved the performance of the machines, too bad they ruined their wonderful products by cutting corners on a simple thing like paint. News flash LG, a cheapskate in your company is going to ruin your product’s name! Shame on you for charging a high quality price for a great machine only just to ruin it and anger the consumers by screwing them over paint.

Initially I chose LG brand because I like their other appliances such as TV, Washing Machines, etc. When I bought the refrigerator that was the guiding and deciding factor, familiarity. What I like the most about the LG brand is the nice slick look. I like the brand itself in general. My favorite color in most appliances of that nature is stainless steel. I have been satisfied with the look, functioning and features of my LG refrigerator. I like the inside of the refrigerator as much as the outside. I like the design that allow me to pack my food nicely. Everything I need is neatly tucked away in a place that I am pleased and comfortable to reach and store it.

I have not had any of the mechanical problems others on this site have described. I actually love this french door, bottom freezer unit. BUT several months after we got it the surface starting peeling on various corners. Near the handles, on the sides. We have kept it to a minimum by being very, very careful, but it is unsightly. Not sure what we can do about it.

We purchased the LG Smart Drum thinking this was a great investment. It was the worst decision we made. It takes hours to wash one load. It constantly errors with UE no matter what load is in there. Even during the clean tub cycle where they recommend nothing in the washer. We have to constantly reload heavy wet clothes to rebalance eventually have to go directly to the spin cycle and shutting off the water just to get it over with. I am lucky to get two loads of laundry done in one whole damn day.I cant get anything else accomplished because I am babysitting a damn washer. It has caused so much frustration among our entire family because no one can get their laundry done and over in a reasonable amount of time. I am going out this weekend and buying a new washer. It wont be a LG thats for sure. From all the other reviews it appears the washer is a lemon and LG knows it but they dont care. Also, the app they say you can get is not available either. They should be sued for falsely claiming things this washer can do and it doesnt. True balance my butt... this machine is the worst. Buyers beware. You will be sorry.

I am so far pleased w/ my new refrigerator, but getting the right help for a replacement part has been extensive and frustrating. Fridge under warranty. Needed to order new tempered glass shelf for my model fridge. First time - Sent the wrong part. Glass is correct width but 2.5 too long. Called again. Second Time - Sent entirely wrong part. Third time - Looked online at blown out version of parts while on phone with Customer Service. They sent the wrong part again, but same part as first attempt. Each time the Model number was verified having taken a picture of sticker on inside of fridge. Clearly the part # is mislabeled. Now they are asking me to wait 3-5 more days to get a call to schedule an in-home visit. Offered to send picture of parts and how tempered glass shelf is too long. No, once the order was put in process by supervisor for technician there is nothing else to do but wait.ON ANOTHER NOTE: Im from Maine. Fridge purchased in Maine. Maine has Consumer Goods And Maine Express And Implied Warranty Laws. I do not know about other states, but is worth a look. In Maine regardless of what warranty the retailer or manufacturer gives, Maine law gives consumers a 4-year warranty and the Retailer is who is responsible and who you deal with, not the manufacturer. So when offered the 3-yr warranty, I say, No thanks, because Im covered by Maine Law for the 4 years.

Our LG fridge is about 5 years old and it has died. I can understand that things can go wrong but the customer service at LG is terrible. They are extremely rude! We have had to take two days off work and it still isnt fixed. We were told the freon leaked out and the company had to address this problem. We spoke to several people at customer service and they were nasty. We have been without a fridge for two weeks and there is no end in sight. We are starting from scratch and have to be home between 10-2 tomorrow for a second service person to come out. They arent going to fix it! Just look at it! So we will likely have to take a third day off work if we are lucky enough to get anyone out to actually fix it. My husband was just recently diagnosed with cancer. The tumor is causing lots of pain. Ice packs help a bit but of course we have no way to keep them cold. This has been a real hardship! I would never buy another LG product. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products.

Professional company, ice maker, friends and family recommend LG refrigerator, heard reviews on it that it was good. Did meet my expectations on what I wanted the fridge to do which is store and keep my food cold. Enjoy storing food in it and keeps food cold. Looks nice. Ice maker, water machine and the bright inside of the fridge, the exterior is a nice material. That is all I like about the LG fridge. But improve space inside fridge. Dont like double doors. Too many shelves. Not enough room. Side by side doors.

We bought the refrigerator in Feb 2020. A few months later, the ice maker stopped working. Service guy had to come back 5 times to finally fix it. For some reason, the model we have was built with a special ice maker. Last month, we started hearing a loud humming sound. When you open any door, it will stop then starts after you close the door. We called service and they did a smart diagnosis via phone and said it looks like I have an ice build-up by the fan and I need to defrost the refrigerator for 8 hours. Defrosted it and after a week, we got an FF error code on the ref. We are defrosting again and see what happens. Never had this problem with a refrigerator before. Hope this get fixed right away.

LG High Efficiency Front load Dryer - I read through the complaints and have the same problem as many others. The only difference is my issue didnt happen right away. Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

LG counter defpth fridge LRFD21855ST: I have had my fridge since 2007. I purchased the over the range microwave from Best Buy just over a year ago. The microwave stopped working, will not power on. I verified the outlet is good by trying another appliance in it and I even replaced the fuse in the microwave, but still does not work. I called LG, but since it was out of warranty, they said there is nothing they can do and referred me to a local repair shop. The local shop said it would end up costing more than I paid to come out, diagnose, and potentially repair the system. At this point, it seems I have no options left other than buying a brand new microwave. I wasted my money on this LG microwave that barely even lasted one year. Poor quality product and poor customer service.

The washer (model WT1201C) only used sufficient water amount to clean when set to bulky, and even then the no-agitator washer would throw the clothes off balance. This would trigger the washer to refill in an attempt to balance the load, which would then throw the clothes off balance, and this cycle would repeat ALL DAY long. I put clothes on before work at 6am and when I got home at 3 in the afternoon the washer was still continuing to fill and spin, fill and spin. I was so frustrated when LG said it was bc of gov. regulations and that all the washers did this, I finally gave up and bought a Speed Queen which works AMAZINGLY well.

LG Gas Range Knob Safety Issue - We recently purchased a 30 slide-in LG gas range and soon found out that it does not take much for the control knobs to be unintentionally rotated to the on position and start releasing gas without us noticing it. One has to lightly press each knob and the mechanical safety lock is immediately released which means the knob can be rotated unintentionally and Gas starts to be released. So far in the space of less than 3 weeks we have had at least three incidences when we did not know that the knobs were accidentally turned on (perhaps by people brushing by) and were only alerted by the smell of gas filling the kitchen. The Home Depot seems to have no return policy for major appliances but we shall be going back to our local store to see if they will make an exception and replace this range with another model. If they refuse to take it back, you will hear from me again.

Placed 1/2 load of towels in washer, started machine, then went shopping. Upon return washer door was open, water was pouring out of the door, and the towels were all over the floor. Apparently, this happened soon after we left because the washroom was flooded, the hallway was flooded, the bedroom was flooded, and the basement had the equivalent of an inch of water everywhere, it had even streamed into the garage through the wall from the washroom. After calling LG we were told the machine was out of warranty and to call an LG repairman. He was not available for two weeks. After performing extensive diagnostics in conjunction with LG tech support, he was advised that the machine checked out in all respects, but that LG recommended replacing the main board and both inlet valves at a cost for parts of over $500 plus labor. We could use the machine, but recommended that we not leave the house. We have had a number of repairs to the machine for the door not locking and have expensive switches replaced. Over $500 in repairs in the first two years. Now the machine is 4 years old and they want more money (see above) for repairs. Consumer Reports currently rates LG as the top front loader. We cannot understand how this can be an honest report, because our experience with these products and with LG has been abysmal. We noticed that on searching for LG washer problems, we came across three other reports under Consumer Reviews describing exactly our problem. LG told its repairman they had no other reports of such a problem, which obviously was a direct lie since we found three on our first search. Our order number on this machine from Home Depot is ** It was paid for on 6/22/11, and delivered on 6/28/11.

I own an LG front load washer. It has been problematic since its purchase 3 years ago. It never cleans the clothes. It makes clothes smell awful. I found out others are having the same problem. I wish they give my money back. I used all the recommended treatments, washing machine cleaners (additional expense), emptying its water often (additional inconvenience), leaving the door open when not in use (hit my legs and bruise them), still clothes smell horrible, especially towels seem to absorb this mushy smell. I hope soon I will get rid of it. I missed clean smelling fresh clothes so much. I need to use a ton of drying sheets to suppress the smell. NEVER BUY FRONT LOADING WASHER. I WILL NEVER AGAIN. They do not save water because you have to wash your clothes again and again. Also you need to clean the machine with special cleaners while running it empty. So in the end no water is saved.

Purchased 02/2020. 1st failures occurred within 30 days. Icemaker and compressor replaced by LG tech. Worked fine until 11/21 when we found unit dead. Unplugged to check outlet. Outlet okay, plugged back in and heard a ZAP and smelled smoke. Contacted LG support and they assigned ticket and said a local company would repair. Contacted local company and they said they had refused the request from LG because LG doesnt pay them. Contacted LG again and they started a new repair ticket. I think they keep changing the ticket numbers so it appears they dont take too long to react. So far they have assigned a total of 10 repair tickets/customer service numbers. LG eventually sent an LG tech on 12/8. They had also shipped 3 different parts directly to me, but only 2 had arrived before tech showed up. He said the missing one was the needed control board and I should text him when it arrived. It arrived on 12/14 and I texted the tech. He said he no longer worked for LG and I would have to start over again. Still waiting on LG support to locate someone willing to perform the warranty repair. 3+weeks without a working refrigerator is ridiculous! I will never purchase any LG products in the future. I remodeled my kitchen and used all stainless steel LG appliances in my kitchen and have add issues with ALL of them. I will always advise friends not to buy LG appliances. The knobs, all five, on my LG stove broke almost immediately and they are $75.00 ea. to replace. I will not buy these knobs because the inside is plastic and will break again and at $75.00 ea. it is too expensive to have to keep replacing them. I have had to replace the motherboard on my dishwasher. The handle on the microwave broke off and now my French door refrigerator went out. Could be the fuse, which was replaced, or the condenser which means I have to buy a new refrigerator. I have tried contacting both Home Depot and the manufacturer directly with no success. We bought a set about a year ago the LG washer inverter direct drive/true balance anti-vibration system with steam technology and the LG sensor dry with steam technology. I thought it might be too technical but its easy to use and my water bill is 7 to 10 dollars a month cheaper and we use a 1/4 of the detergent that we did before. And the options are many and it plays a musical tune when its done not a buzz that scares you and it large enough to do anything. I got the extended warranty because of the electronic board. Only one problem was the washer is so deep my wife has to use grabbers to get the laundry out of the washer. I think this was money well spent on and I like that the door on the dryer can pull down or from the side, the washer has a glass top thats called diamond glass and a soap and softener dispenser. I did wish they had it in something more than white and Im still learning thing about it like I can connect it to my phone to let me know when its done but I really have to say thats pretty lazy. We ALWAYS bought SEARS products, so when the time came to purchase a new refrigerator, we went to our local SEARS store. We bought one with a bottom freezer (LG). Its beautiful, BUT started malfunctioning less than 1 year later (it wouldnt stay cold). After several calls (and hours of being on HOLD) to their customer service department, and answering the same questions over and over, I finally reached a sympathetic rep who actually listened and realized that my fridge was STILL under the manufacturers warranty, as well as the purchased extended warranty. She ordered a replacement refrigerator, and we got it about 10 days later. Two years after receiving the 2nd fridge, that one started malfunctioning! We opted to get the home warranty, but still had to pay around $600 out of pocket. Now, another two year later... here we go AGAIN!!! Same fridge, same issue. But, due to the pandemic, we tried to lower our expenses, and recently cancelled the home warranty. So, again on the phone with SEARS trying to see if there was anything that could be done (like maybe there was a recall on this model). Now some may say Bad luck, but I say CHEAP QUALITY... Do not buy LG or Sears products!! BUYER BEWARE!!

Also even when I personally tried to escalate I was given the answer that Maam today - it will be done today... There is no clarity... Extremely poor service... I have faced before also the same problem but trusting in the brand I repurchased... Personally its pathetic the product and the service.

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

I liked the design most of all appearance-wise, but also that there was an option for the ice to be dispensed on it. It was also pretty decent size. Overall I was very satisfied with all of this for the most part and since our old fridge was very small it made life a bit easier. I would improve a tad more space though, and more shelving available for use or drawers. I feel I would have liked it even more if there had been more space or Storage available for the items needing to be in the fridge since we do buy large amounts of groceries at a time. We have a bigger family so we have to get large amounts when we go grocery shopping and our old fridge would just never cut it per se.

I kind of feel bad, because I just read the other reviews, and my complaints are as bad as theirs. However, I am so anxious about whats to come. My story is Im heartbroken at the purchase of this LG refrigerator model# LMXS30776S. We used the money that my mom left us to buy it, and we went to Home Depot many times, looking at the refrigerators to pick just the right one to remember her by, and decided on this LG door in door, December 2016. From the very beginning, the door in door would not open, and would not close properly. We gave it some time, but called in less than a month old. In January, they came out... one of the repairmen said to man -up and dont open it and close it like a girl. When we told him it doesnt open or close, like in the multiple stores we tested, he said, he didnt care about the stores, to give it time to wear in like the stores. I told him I did care that it worked like the refrigerators that I tried out. Again, he said to give it time.We waited for 2 or three months and called another repairman. He came out and basically said the same thing. He said he had the same refrigerator, and it did the same thing. I said, And your wife is willing to put up with this? He said, you get used to it. We waited almost a year and called another repairman from Home Depot (our LG warranty was up.) He came out and said since nothing was broken, he could not fix a door that would open, even if it didnt open correctly. He couldnt fix a rattle in the door or what I thought was the motor, because essentially everything was working (the right temperature, motor not stopped, door opened etc.)He told me thats the way warranties work... things have to be broken, not just not working right. Over $3,000 is a lot of special money to spend on a refrigerator that doesnt work right, but wont be fixed. LG definitely does not stand behind their products. I will not ever buy an LG again, and I so wish I had read the reviews before buying - AND, like I said before, am so nervous now for whats to come.

PSA: DO NOT buy an LG refrigerator. Both they, and the service company they contract with, A&E are absolutely horrible. Back story: I purchased an LG fridge 2.5 years ago to replace an aging one which was keeping food in the 56º range. The new fridge worked fine with the exception of the black satin stainless finish on it which had started peeling off. About a month ago I called to report that. They sent out a service tech who said it was a manufacturers defect and it was covered. They would replace the doors in approximately two weeks.About a week after that, the fridge quit working. I checked all the stuff a non technical person like myself knows to check: had the door been left open; was the air intake clogged. Nope and nope. I busted out the manual. They said to call LG if it was failing to cool so I got on the horn with their service. Shortly into the phone call, the customer service person says, touch the inside of the fridge, does it have any condensation on it? It did not. He told me it was the compressor and promptly scheduled a service call which was about a week out. So I threw out stuff which would perish soon, got freezer stuff to my friends and cleaned the fridge so that it would not get stanky sitting closed up without power. The tech shows up as scheduled, confirms it is the compressor and also the motherboard and orders parts. The parts arrive a few days later, they are the wrong parts. We are now a week and a half in. He blames it on LG (who knows if it was LG or A&E at this point) and says he is going to order the parts and they will be overnighted. Had this been the case they would have arrived on a Thursday, come the next Tuesday, there are still no parts, so we call again. Now the story is that they will be ordering the parts and they will be here tomorrow. LG ships the parts to the consumers home, and A&E will not schedule until the parts arrive so first you get to wait for the parts, then you get to wait for them to have availability in their schedule. The parts arrive, three days later they schedule the tech yet again. They call the day that the repair is to be scheduled and say that the tech called in that day and they will need to reschedule. At this point another friend gets on the horn and basically tells them, oh hell no! and they miraculously find someone from Cape Girardeau and send him up. The guy puts the parts in, says to leave the fridge for 24 hours before putting anything into it. This was yesterday. Wake up this morning and the fridge is yet again a balmy 65º.Call LG AGAIN .... and A&E is closed and wont be able to schedule anything until Monday. Which will then of course be another service call scheduled days out, another tech coming out saying, yes the fridge is not working, ordering additional parts, waiting for parts, waiting to schedule said parts to be told that the fridge cannot be repaired. The fridge is under manufacturers warranty. The failed compressor has a 10 year warranty. I have the extended 5 year store warranty. There are so many 1 ⭐️ reviews on the LG fridge and A&E with people who are having the exact same issues as I am with both companies on Consumer Affairs, this entire debacle is being repeated all over the place. We are now three weeks into this, the doors never did arrive, the fridge still doesnt work and we are waiting on service yet again. If I can save any of you the headache, I wanted to put this out there.

Have an LG French Door Refrigerator. After 18 mo. the compressor died. It took LG 6 weeks to figure out that they could not find an LG certified repair technician in our area. They refused to tell us how they would respond, and then gave us a refund, but refused to repair/replace the unit. They do not answer calls/faxes, and do not seem to care about their customers. I spent a total of over 20 hours on calls/emails/faxes. Every call involved 15-35 minutes on hold before getting to a live person. They kept passing me from one department to another. Totally frustrating experience. Would never buy LG again.

After washing a load of clothes the drum light will not go off. We have tried unplugging, holding the start button for 10 seconds then replugging it back up. It still stays on when unplugged. The washer wont come on. Why does it seem that all the LG washers have this or a similar problem? If there is a problem with the motherboard recall these washers and fix them. This is a factory problem not the customer that bought it. The problem is too similar in every case. You are turning people against your LG products. My model is WM2487HM.

Updated on 01/01/2020: Update from LG, they offered to send a tech out to inspect my refrigerator but the stipulation was that I would charged for the visit for anything outside the warranty. When they read my review about being charged because I had outside tech come and put in a compressor, they cancelled the tech. I exposed the fraud of the company telling them I knew about the charge and would not fall for their deception. Truth released about this company.Original Review: I Bought LG Refrigerator about three years ago for my new home. By the Way LG means Lucky Goldstar. I dont feel very Lucky, in fact I feel like I have been scammed by a company that does not care for their customer. I paid close to $3000 for this top of line refrigerator which was rated by Best Buy five stars. On December 11, 2019 in the morning I noticed the freezer part was defrosting and ice formed around the doors and I had a freezer full of food. I also notice my refrigerator was not cooling properly. And there was a puddle on the floor in front of the ice maker. I thought it was an ice cube stuck in the bin and it melted onto the floor. Cleaned it up and went to work. When I came home there was more water in front of the refrigerator. I now knew something was wrong. I opened the freezer and saw my frozen food defrosted. I panic. Who can I contact now, it is after six PM. I called a friend who recommended her tech to come out and check my fridge. I did call him and he came out around 8:30 PM that night. And his diagnoses was that the Linear Compressor went and everything in the fridge needs be discarded. He said he could get another one in for $595.00 and put it in tomorrow. Since I paid so much for this fridge, I consented to have the work done. I needed a Fridge. After he left, I spent hours cleaning out the fridge and freezer and did not finish till way after 1:00 AM in the morning and I had to be up at 4:00 AM for work. I had to throw all that food out. I had steaks, shrimps, meats, fish and honey baked ham given to me for Christmas from my job. The tech did come back the next day with a new LG linear compressor and installed it and now we are up and running once again. It took about 24 hours for fridge to cool off and the following day, I started stocking my fridge. But within a few days, the fridge did not seem to be working right. I kept checking it. The freezer part was forming crystal around the inner drawers and the food was not cold. Now on December 24, 2019 I am calling the tech who put the compressor in and he is heading out of town but he sent a friend to check out the fridge. At 5:30 PM The eve of Christmas he comes and checks and tells me that the coils are leaking and it would very costly to fixed to contact LG Customer Service. My first thought is to get my frozen stuff out and try to salvage what I can and bring it over to a friend house. When finished with that I decided to call LG. I spoke to lady name Abby who politely told me because I used an outside tech to service their fridge my warranty is canceled nullified and void. She also told me that linear compressor is only under warranty for five years. My manual says ten years. It does not say anything about calling an outside Tech to service my fridge cancels my warranty on this fridge. Think about it, if I had to call LG for a tech to come out it would have taken more than a week to get this done. And time to get a linear compressor to replace the one I had. And to make matters worse, both techs told me that LG has had major issues with linear compressors and they knew about the issues and still installed them in each refrigerator. The company is scamming the American people and are not willing to compensate them. My total cost for this fridge to balm is $4500 plus buying a new fridge. I am a 75-year-old working for $15 per hour. Which means I will have to work 300 hours to recoup my losses plus buying new fridge. I am warning the public to not buy from this company any products, they are not reputable to deal with and you will take quite a loss. Their Refrigerators look good on the outside but their components on the inside are made cheaply and you pay dearly.

We purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in July of 2016. In February of 2019 (32 months later) the compressor died, costing us $500 in service fees and waiting a week without a fridge for parts. Contacted LG service and they gave me the run around for two days. In the meantime, we were losing food (valued around $500). After reading further online, there are class action lawsuits against LG for these same issues. DO NOT PURCHASE LG refrigerators! Look elsewhere to save yourself time, frustration and lots of money!

Has been a good product overall. Some of the plastic parts have broken - cheaply made - but otherwise reliable. Then when a repairman came to see why it was shaking more than usual would probably be more prudent to buy a new washer than have the old one fixed.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!! I dont even know where to begin. This is the second LG refrigerator I bought to replace the first one that could never be fixed properly. I splurged on a 3-door French Door with an ice maker and water in the door. It was purchased in 2009 and had problems right away. Within the first few months, the gaskets on the French doors ripped. I had a private company come out to fix them. When the company indicated to me that I might want to inform LG directly of my problem, I did. A lengthy, almost year-long process ensued. To this day, I have a 3-door French Door refrigerator that does not work properly. The ice maker flap in the door does not close, causing the ice to melt. It has permanently damaged my hardwood flooring. The gaskets have been replaced no less than three times and they still tear. LG customer service representatives, Garrett and Kuzi ** have told me that they will no longer pay to service the refrigerator and unless I pay for another service call, they will not pro-rate a new refrigerator. How sad and disappointing that I feel as though they lied to me and promised a pro-rate that they never followed through with. I truly hope this makes you think twice before buying an LG French door refrigerator. I have lost all confidence in this manufacturers ability to provide customer service. Their representatives can easily quote ridiculous policies that they must follow but they have absolutely no sense of a customers frustration over spending $2500 on a refrigerator that has NEVER worked properly.

LG WM2301HW Washing Machine has been nothing but problems. I started a load and smelled something burning. I found the washing machine not working ... its burning from within, black burning internally - arched inside on the wires - caught fire. LG does not want to recognize that there is a problem... This is a huge legality and liability for LG. No machine should catch on fire... LG needs to make it right. Could this model be a recall? I found a lot of bad reviews on this model.

We had purchased both the washer and dryer at the same time from Lowes while building our home. I documented all of the steps we had taken and responses from LG on our repair. Went back to Lowes (where purchased from) and asked to talk to the manager. After showing him the paperwork and relating my experience he allowed me to exchange the both machines. The appliance manager worked with me and I picked out a Whirlpool Duet W&D. They scheduled a date to pick up the LG units and deliver the new Whirlpool units. I couldnt be happier with the Whirlpools, and received the difference in the cost back. I did initially call Lowes headquarters to ask if they would exchange my machines and was told that it was up to the manager at the store I purchased them from. I was very calm and respectful and had all of the paperwork to show the manager. They were really great. I will never by LG again.

I bought a home last year which came with the LG TruBalance top load washer. I began having issues immediately with the “UE” code. It did not matter how large or small the load was, this code would come up every time I used the machine. I was constantly having to babysit the machine, re-distributing the clothes over & over again just to finally get one load done, taking close to 2 hours sometimes longer just to do one load. A lot of times I could see dry spots on the clothing, or I could see that the clothing was not clean. I had a repairman come who told me the issue was the computer software & that it would be better for me to replace this part rather than buying a whole new machine. I purchased the part & for a month I had no issues. Then the machine began to leak water from underneath, soaking my floor & also my dryer. Also, the dreaded “UE” code made a comeback, causing the machine to continue to refill with water repeatedly, start to spin, then flash the error code. I am so fed up with this machine that I have ordered a new Whirlpool with agitator just like I used to have. This LG is by far the worst machine I have ever owned, & I will not be buying any other LG appliances in the future.

I purchased an LG Front Load Washer (model:WM2688HWM) on 8/19/06 from Best Buy, for $1,349.99, plus pedestal for $179, 2-pack of hoses for $26.99=$1,555.98 plus $101.14 for tax. My total payment was $1,657.12. In addition, we purchased the 5 year service plan from Best Buy for $199.99. Our total investment was $1,857.11. The unit was delivered on 9/15/06. Exactly 5 years and one month after delivery and 1st use in 2006, on 10/15/2011, our machine flashed tE on the display, and we could not use the machine, and we were out of warranty by 1 month. An authorized LG technician was called, and he came out, ordered a new thermostat, and replaced it on 10/24/11. 3 weeks later, on 11/18/11, the machine stopped, and again flashed tE on the display panel. The technician was not able to come out right away, so a new thermostat was installed on 12/3/11. On 1/31/2012, the machine flashed tE, is not working, and again I am waiting for the Authorized Technician to come. I called LG Customer Service this morning, (1-800-243-0000). The rep I spoke to was very nice, but could only give the answers he is trained to give. I then spoke to a very nice supervisor, who was also well trained to give non-helpful answers to the consumers. My first washer lasted 22 years, and it was not an LG. I never had a service call for a thermostat problem on that washer, but did replace it once on the dryer. At that time we were a family of 6. The children played sports. We did a lot of laundry, but the machine was made well, and I paid a fair price for a product that was predicted to last 20 years, but lasted longer. With all the laundry we did, I would have been thrilled had it lasted only 15. This LG has cost much more money. Our youngest was a senior in high school, and then left for college when we bought it, so basically I have done laundry for my husband and I, who dont get terribly dirty, and the machine was used 2 or 3 times a week. The repair man is now here, and the new thermostat he has installed is still flashing tE. He said he has spoken to the company, and was told that the problem could not possibly be the main board, that it has to be the thermostat. He is on the phone with them now. I will pay for another service call today, but as soon as I send this email, I am going to start researching and determine what washing machines have a better service record. I have been told that LG has such great technology, but what benefit is good technology, if it cannot be incorporated into a product that will work for a reasonable length of time?

Purchased an LG Direct Drive washing machine model WT5001CW in 2011 from Sears. Seemed to be working well. Would get UE error for unbalanced loads now and then, and machine would stop. In 2013 we received a recall repair notice and as a good consumer scheduled the repair. Since then, the machine has not worked properly. We get UE message sometimes but typically at the 9 minute point in cycle, it goes into a continual refill/empty mode. We have to reposition clothing and try to get it to spin clothes but it rarely does. We end up having to cancel the cycle and re-program a spin only cycle. Sometimes this resolves the issue but most of the time doesnt. I called LG today to let them know what is happening and got nowhere. The rep said I am out of warranty date. I explained this has been happening since recall fix but it didnt matter. He offered to schedule a repair but it would cost a minimum of $200. Basically, a 4 y/o super expensive ($900) washer is defective due to their repair.

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

Our LG fridge LFX28978ST /04 stopped cooling. We lost everything we purchased in groceries to last us a while during this pandemic. It is a compressor issue from their linear compressor. We called LG and they verified it is a compressor issue but had to pay out of pocket cost for technician to come out and the repair cost while they supply the part. The technician came out and in under 20 mins, said it was a compressor. The cost for that 20 mins, $85. The service cost for the technician to perform the work, $890. The cost for the compressor from LG is less than $260. At that cost I would rather buy a new fridge. I called and complained to LG. They gave me 3 other technicians BUT I will have to pay new labor costs. They said I could explain to them that it was already diagnosed, which all the technicians said this is false and they will have to perform their own diagnosis.1 of them did not answer, the other said he has not touched LG fridge in over 7 years and does not want to. I called LG because I was not getting anywhere and they advised that I can call any local technician and they will approve the technician to perform the service. I have called about 6 local places and ALL OF THEM will not touch LG refrigerator. All of them said one thing or the other about LG refrigerators. I am getting nowhere with LG and it is a very frustrating time right now for me and my family to get the run around and nothing in the fridge. LG will not even reimburse me the cost of my groceries until the technician performs a $890 repair that they only have to fork out $260... Beware, if you buy LG fridge, prepare for the runaround and NO technician wanting to service this and if they do, the cost will be ridiculous. This is totally unacceptable and I can see why there is a class action suit against this company. I will be posting on all social media how LG handles its customers on an item they know is flawed. Hopefully I can deter others from buying LG refrigerator. I wished I searched this site before buying an LG refrigerator. I am getting no help whatsoever from LG... NONE... They will have you doing all the leg work and calling for nothing...

I also have had the same issues as others on this thread. Compressor failure at 3 years of ownership is a sure sign this unit (and others within the same model series) are complete garbage. Prior, 3 months after purchasing this unit, we experienced a loud rattling noise which was caused by a fan hitting a build-up of ice on the compressor lines. After multiple tech visits, replacing several items, the entire board or CPU for the unit was replaced. We had no other issues after up until now, 3 years later. Fortunately, we did buy an extended 5-year warranty from the company where it was purchased. This warranty did cover the costs to repair. But, based on my research, the compressor will fail again in time due to onboard firmware issues that are causing the overload.

I have a washing machine that is 3 years old that needed a repair covered under the 7-year warranty. Because I cannot find my receipt after 3 years, you will not honor the warranty, even though the serial number shows its not close to 7 years. Because its a premium product, a receipt is required. I spent $1,000 on a premium machine that LG will not honor warranty on due to a 10-cent piece of paper. This is not how you treat your customers who purchase premium products. And premium products should not break after 3 years.

LG Compressor complaint bought 3 years ago (brand new). 05/15/2017 - When I started filing a claim thru LG protection plan. I spoke to a male representative and mentioned that he will send someone to check the fridge. We briefly explained to him whats going on. That the fridge is not cooling and since my husband is a technician himself, he knows whats going on to the fridge. My husband mentioned that the compressor is not working. The rep sent us a part for relay which when the (First attempt) technician came over to fix it. He said that they sent the wrong parts. He said and will report to LG that it was the compressor that is broken. We waited for the parts to be ordered. I called several times to follow up (month of May/June). The reps were telling me that the compressor is on its way and they have set up an appointment with the technician but the parts still hasnt arrive to the house. I even asked the representative if the technician will have the actual compressor because we havent received it. She said if we didnt have it then the technician would probably have it. When the same technician arrived to the house (Second attempt), he doesnt have the parts and we dont have it as well. He ended up leaving without fixing it and recommended to call LG again. I called and when I spoke to another representative, they said that it was on back order. How come they didnt explained it in the first place and sending the technician just to waste our time? I complaint to them and ended up talking to a supervisor who gave me a mini fridge that we picked up at a local Home Depot for the inconvenience because I told them that Im pregnant and taking insulin which I appreciate them for accommodating me.When I called and spoke to the technician. He mentioned that when its 40 days and still cant find the parts that probably we will be reimbursed. I called on the 40th day. That is June 26th. That same day the compressor came in the morning and my mother received it. However I was not home at the time so I asked him if he will schedule the service. The representative I spoke to said that he cant schedule it for some reason in his system and told me to call an 800-243-0000 number to schedule the service. When I called this number, they couldnt locate my claim nor cant find me on the file. The person I spoke to said that I have to call LG back to get this situated. Then they schedule me with Precision services who message since 06/28/2017 and said that they will schedule the service and we will get a call. Several text reminders received until on 06/29/2017 a text message came and said they are ready to schedule the service. Still theres no live person that I can talk to when they are coming. On 06/30/17; they message me again and wants me to explain briefly what the situation is. Instead of texting them I called them instead and was able to talk to someone who scheduled the service on 7/7/2017.Finally the tech came in the morning and my husband called me at work and said that the technician didnt fix it and just troubleshoot the problem about the compressor. He even said that why sent him there when they know that they have to send a LG manufacturing license technician who can fix the compressor. I got so furious and upset. I called them on 7/7/2017 and spoke to the supervisor, Angel who promised that someone within 4 hours will call me and schedule the service but no one called. I called this Morning and spoke to another supervisor named Chase who stated that theres a service provider that can do it and its near our location and will request it however, considering its the weekend that they might be closed. He said that I have to wait 1 business day. I told him I was told if they couldnt locate anyone to fix our fridge to just reimburse us. We have been waiting for so long. Its going to be almost 2 months without a fridge. Several calls has made and they didnt even call us back for the status. I have to constantly call them what happened to the back order parts, when finally we receive the parts, asking them when the technician will fix it. Now, they couldnt locate a license technician who can fix our LG fridge and still I have to wait. Theyre explaining that it has to be license LG manufacturing which I totally understand. If they know the problem, they should have located a technician long time back. I have this on file, the other technician informed them the problem since beginning of June. We are now in July and still no resolution. I will wait again on Monday for a phone call which is not for sure if they will find a technician and still by then he is still not sure what will be the resolution to the problem. They keep on promising and misleading the customer. What kind of LG protection is this, this should have been handled smoothly. When you have protection services, they should have a good contact technician that is license to fix with this kind of problem and not let the customer have false hope, give reason to wait and still be disappointed. Sorry doesnt cut the chase and were still inconvenience with this problem. Im pregnant and stressing me so much. I dont know what else I can do to resolve my issue and Im writing a complaint and hoping that someone from LG Company resolve this issue as soon as possible. I saw LG compressor complaints online and has 1840 which I dont know if they resolve it. They should at least pay attention to this issues.

As youve all stated, this brand is junk. Not only has my 2006/07 model washer failed twice, it smells (even after clean and running tub clean often) and it leaves streaks on whites. After each white load, I inspect the garment before drying because if you do, it will be permanent. The dryer doesnt dry. You have to run at least the normal cycle and then follow-up with the speed dry cycle to finish it off. This isnt only me. I have 4 friends who have the LG combo (various models, years, configurations) and each has similar complaints. I will never buy anything from LG ever again. Nothing.

Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

Told need to be serviced by LG authorized service and was given a number to call. 155 for 5 minutes to diagnose bad compressor. LG is aware and has several class action lawsuits against them. Guy need to order part. LG warranty does not cover very expensive labor - 320+ to install. From all the reviews online - They install the same defective part and failure rate of the new one is very high- most fail within the next 12 months.

Purchased washer, gas dryer bundle. Front door leaked water from first use. Told us to clean it - we wiped it dry every use. After 2.5 months the valves and baskets and other parts (a solenoid that shuts the water off) required replacement. Even with the additional warranty we still owed 350.00 each time. Our washer required authorized repair parts and authorized service people so we had to wait weeks for the appointment, weeks for the parts to be ordered then weeks for a follow up appointment. Now its happening again. I am not repairing this beast. I will go out today and buy a Kenmore or Whirlpool top load from Sears. Sears has been reliable forever. No more LG or samsung for us, ever.

They arrived and said they needed to order a part (we already told them what we needed). Called several times to get a date for repair with little to no response. Called LG - this is the only technician they have. LG called and I have to wait. I am at their mercy. Service Technician showed, called complete and product serviced and working. Not the case. Oct 1st LG have stated the repair company will not be available this week but will call and hopefully next week. Product is only 3 years old. This is the most they will offer in service. 3 weeks or more without a working stove is acceptable to LG.

****Buyer Beware**** Please do not ever buy an LG Appliance! Their 10 Year Warranty isnt worth the paper it is printed on. Our dryer stopped heating after purchased new July 2017. Customer service is absolutely deplorable, with hour long wait after talking to someone about the problem, flat out lies, being given the runaround, promising service appointments and no one shows. Being told LG was in negotiations with a repair vendor in my area and that we should receive a call back within the week. That was 7 days ago. No one called.Called back - another hour of being on hold. Then being told that the 1st service center declined our service appointment so it was being escalated to their 2nd service center. Why was my service declined? No one can say, but supposedly/hopefully the 2nd service center can accomplish what the 1st service center was unable to do - schedule a service appointment. Oh yea, I should receive a call back in 3-5 days from the 2nd service center. After 2 1/2 weeks of the runaround and lies from LG, I am done trying to have the dryer repaired under warranty. I am biting the bullet and calling a repair service to repair my 9-10 month old dryer out of my own pocket. I also would like to note that our case is not an isolated one. A google search will reveal several horror stories identical to mine! Dryer stopped heating and a completely worthless LG customer service experience.

LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. LG Steam Washer WM2501h*A - I have been satisfied with this washer, except for its occasional inability to properly spin bulky or mixed loads. However all that changed the weekend before Thanksgiving when it apparently completed a load of clothes and then completely stopped functioning - no lights, no error messages, nothing. My husband did a bit of troubleshooting to make sure it was getting power (it was) and checking online. He suspected it needed a new motherboard. We found a local repairman who was able to come out the next day and he determined that was indeed the problem. This washer is less than 3 years old, and after having an old workhorse of a heavy-duty Kenmore that worked reliably for more than 20 years, with minimal problem, I was very disappointed this new fancy machine was already having a problem with a repair cost of $350. We bought LG because they were getting good reviews, and spent a pretty good piece of change on both the washer and dryer - I would never have expected to have any problem in this short of a time frame. I probably should have stuck with an old top-loader with old proven mechanism instead of trying to go green and save a little water... incredibly disappointed in LG.

I purchased an LG Easy Clean microwave in 2014. The unit wasn’t exactly cheap but I figured I’d invest in a better quality unit. Recently (2018) I noticed the smell of burning and sparking coming from the unit. I opened the door and noticed that the inside lower left corner was physically melted??? I have never experienced anything like this with any other microwave in my life. Obviously I felt this was a safety issue and an obviously defective microwave.I called LG and jumped through all their hoops, providing them photos etc. They were supposed to call me back (they didn’t). When I called back I was told that they only offer a 1 yr warranty and the fact that I got 4 yrs out of it was good. Umm, a melted door is good??? Long story short, LG told me I can try to find someone to repair it but it will be costly and recommended I buy a new one. Yup, after only 4 yrs. I asked if a “MELTED DOOR” was particularly concerning to LG? He said no, it’s 4 years old. Umm, well I guess it had a good run in LG’s eyes. I’ll never buy from LG or any affiliate again. WOW!??

My wife and I purchased our LG refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it ran great for 90 Days. In March 2019 I had noticed that the freezer had started to warm up and ice started to melt. I called Lowe’s and they had told me that since it was still under manufacturer warranty, that I had to deal with LG. So first off I called and set up a service call. Their service window is from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm... Ugh... so my wife took the first day off, and the service tech did not show up until 2:30pm, whole day of wages lost. The techy comes in my house and proceeds to tell my wife that I need to remove a set of cabinets or cut vent holes in the one above the fridge, because according to him the fridge gets too hot and causes the compressor to fail. Crazy huh, so according to the owner’s manual, it states 1 on each side, 2 top and 3-4 on the back for proper ventilation, which I have. I designed my kitchen with this fridge in mind, so anyway I get home from work and the service guy is informing me that he does not have the right tools to diagnose my fridge. He said I need to set up another service call and he would get the right tools ordered, and he left. I have to say I was not happy about it. I argued with Lowe’s for the next 2 weeks trying to get a replacement, and Lowe’s could not do anything because of the warranty, so I call LG again and they will not replace it without a proper diagnosis. So it took another 2 weeks and multiple phone calls not only to Lowe’s but to LG as well to get this fridge diagnosed, come to find out the compressor went out after 90 days, didnt cost me anything but 2 day’s worth of wages and 400 dollar’s worth of food.

I just purchased my LG double oven range one month ago. Cleaned the cooktop as required by manufacturer. Razored off the food stuck on as by manufacturing specs. A stuck on piece of rice being scraped off by the razor provided with the range caused a chip in the glass. The rice and a piece of glass top came off together. LG states this is not covered under warranty and will not repair. Cleaning a stuck on piece of anything should not cause a piece of glass to come off with it. I bought 3 LG appliances at the same time and I will not buy again. I have had a glass cooktop range before. Cleaned it several times the same way never a problem. This range was over $1000. That glass top should be bulletproof as far as I’m concerned.

Almost the perfect range, it has everything you need or want. Unfortunately, it has a very dangerous design flaw. When anyone bumps against a burner knob, a burner turns on (normally on high). We recently had a situation where a glass baking dish was taken out of the oven and placed on the stove top. Someone accidentally bumped a knob, turning on the burner to high, where the glass dish was at. When my wife noticed the burner was on, she turned it off and tried moving the glass baking dish off of the burner, when the dish suddenly exploded. I contacted LG. I was told to buy the child safety cover for $30.00. This is a VERY expensive appliance. We shouldnt have buy something to make it safe when it should be safe to use in the first place. Think very carefully before purchasing this appliance.

Lg is a trustworthy company and provides reliable products. They always meet my expectations with their products and reliability. Lg can be trusted in your home and the purchase never disappoints. Lg products last a long time and have exceeded my expectations. Anything lg I try to buy for my home. I need a newer model of refrigerator but they are expensive. I need a new one but lg does not offer financing.

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

Washer worked great however main PC board needed replaced after 4 1/2 years. Wow. So this is and was by far the most expensive washer. My last washer was working fine after 10 years. I gave it away when I purchased this LG. Im very, very disappointed!!

The controls on this microwave take some getting used to. Theyre impossible to see in dim light, and theyre not really very intuitive. My old microwave had actual buttons with numbers on them. This one uses a cutsie system that must have been designed by nerds who just wanted to demonstrate a clever-- but not user-friendly-- alternative. Oh well! Otherwise, the microwave works just fine.

We bought a new LG fridge with our home and it lasted about 6 months. Quit making ice. I called LG and they determined the compressor was failing after a month of service calls. They ordered parts, canceled my appointment 2x, finally someone shows up and says, We’ll I don’t think the compressor is bad. We said, Well 2 other people said it is so replace it like youre told. He did and it failed. The fridge never got cold. Ruined all the food inside overnight and when we pulled it out he had damaged the back panel. Called the repair group and was told they couldn’t come back out. It was up to Lg. Again called and jumped through all the hoops with Lg and now we’re waiting another week with no fridge or freezer. Had to go out and buy a chest freezer. They don’t care at all. Do not buy a LG fridge!!!!

The fridge is great looking and plenty big enough but frost collects on food in the freezer. I had a Whirlpool for many years and never had this problem, but there were others. The overall performance is good but the frozen foods always need to have excess ice removed.

Although my top loaded LG washer and dryer perform well, I am disappointed
Although my top loaded LG washer and dryer perform well, I am disappointed with the cheap black plastic cover over the control panels. I dont know how loading clothes can scratch this plastic but I continue to get more scratches. I realize this is petty but my washer and dryer are in an open area in the utility room which you walk through to get to the kitchen from the garage and the scratches are on display.
