Purchased $3,000+ LG counter depth Stainless refrigerator late November 2013. In less than six months we have lost the contents of the freezer twice. I asked the retailer that we purchased from, ABT, to replace this obviously defective unit. They say that failure must occur three times in a year before they will consider replacement. I will never buy another LG appliance again.

So far our LG washing machine has lasted us 11 years. The first 6 years we were washing clothes for 6 people, then for 4 people the last 5. We have only had a few issues during this time. I hope it lasts for at least 4 more years.

Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4270W) through The Home Depot. The washer was delivered and installed in our home on Feb 21st, 2015. The dryer arrived on March 2nd. Both machines operated beautifully for about 8 months. They are MUCH quieter than our previous 20+ year old machines, have a nice feature set, and save water. However, in early October, the washing machine developed a leak and dumped a LOT of water. Fortunately, we had taken the precaution of placing the washer in an overflow pan, so there was no apparent damage to our home. I initially contacted LG warranty support to have the washing machine fixed on October 6th, 2015. On the good side, I found their representatives to be quick to answer my phone calls and they were always courteous. On the bad side, they are completely ineffective and incompetent. Ultimately, I fixed it myself.6 October 2015, 9:45 AM EST, I called LG Warranty support to report the issue. I spoke with the representative and provided the washing machine serial number. The representative verified that the washer was under warranty and stated that I would receive a call in 2-3 days from the service scheduling team to schedule a service appointment. I requested and received an incident reference number. 8 October 2015, 11:10 AM EST, I contacted LG to check status on the service appointment. The representative indicated that scheduling team may take 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment.13 October 2015, 11:30 AM EST, I contacted LG to determine why I had not yet been contacted to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the Service Scheduling Team had started the search for a local service provider on the 8th and that the search should be resolved on the 15th. I was told that if they could not schedule an appointment, they would arrange to replace the machine. The representative stated that the time to resolve the service request was unknown. The representative also indicated that the request had been escalated to the top-tier scheduling department, but that it was not possible to check status or contact anyone in that department directly.15 October 2015, 5:55 PM EST, I received a phone call from an LG service representative. They had made arrangements to have the washer serviced and the service representative Jeff (last name & phone number omitted) would contact me shortly with appointment details. I called Jeff directly to confirm and received a message that his voicemail was full. I left a callback number. 16 October 2015, 8:10 AM EST Called Jeff again. The voicemail was still full. Left my callback number again. 1:40 PM EST Called Jeff again and left a voicemail. Jeff eventually returned the call and we scheduled a service call on 19 October.19 October 2015, Jeff arrived at the house and spent about an hour on the phone with LG. He did not disassemble the washing machine nor inspect it in any significant way. He did order a replacement pump. I was informed that the part should arrive later that week. 27 October 9:25 AM EST, I called and left a message for Jeff to find out status and set up a time for the repair. I requested that he call me back as soon as possible with this information. 2 November 2015, 8:00 AM EST, I called and left a message with Jeff to get status and schedule the repair. I requested a call back that day with status.6 November 2015, 7:20 PM EST, I called LG Customer Service to find out what was going on. The service representative was aware that a technician had been assigned and parts ordered. I explained that the technician had visited, ordered a part, and had been unresponsive for 3 weeks. She attempted to contact the technician while I was on hold and could not (no surprise, it was after business hours on a Friday). The service representative indicated she would contact the technician on Monday and call me with status. 7 November 2015, 1:00 PM EST - After a month with NO effective action and washing laundry at the neighbors house, I removed the top of the machine, ran a 15-minute cycle, and identified the source of the leak as a disconnected vent hose in the left rear corner of the washer. I Googled for service diagrams and found it was the hose at the top of part F430 in the diagram. 2:20 PM EST I called LG, explained the situation with the technician and my lack of satisfaction. I requested a service manual be sent immediately. The representative took my email address and claimed the service manual had been sent.3:00 PM EST I contacted LG via live chat and inquire whether the service manual had been sent. The representative on the chat stated he could not access the manual.3:25 PM EST, I called LG again. The representative read my email address back and it had been recorded incorrectly (though we had verified it on the phone the first time!). I verified the correct email address again and she resent the manual. 3:45 PM EST, I did a web search on LG drain vent hose routing and found a diagram showing the correct connection to a fitting on top of the washer drum. I reconnected the hose and since then the washer has been fine. The LG representative that I spoke with on 6 November did eventually call back and offered to start the scheduling process all over again with another service technician. I told her that their service was abominable and that I had repaired the issue myself. We were done. The service manual never arrived.I live in a major metropolitan area with over 1 million people within the county boundary. I am amazed that LG couldnt find a competent technician in the area that could provide prompt service. The inability to email a simple service manual after 3 attempts is equally ridiculous. I will say that most parts appear for the washer appear to be reasonably priced. In the course of my internet research, I found that most design flaws noted in earlier versions of the LG washer had been corrected in my washer. The fact that the hose popped off the fitting may have been a random occurrence. The machine has performed well since. Some closing thoughts: (1) Dont ever install ANY washing machine without an overflow pan that has been connected into your houses drain system, and (2) If you are considering the purchase of an LG appliance or other product, based on my experience, I wouldnt expect LG to honor their product warranties.

Special ordered a large LG refrigerator on the recommendation from the sale
Special ordered a large LG refrigerator on the recommendation from the salesman from Home Depot. The outside of the refrigerator dents with just the push of your finger. So needless to say looks awful. I bought the extra warranty. I called LG, said warranty is up. As soon as the warranty ran out. We have a frost built up in the freezer. Every 3 months we manually have to take everything out and defrost the freezer. An ice built up under the drawer, snow on everything, cant even close the freezer until this is done. Its only 6 years old. A refrigerator should last longer than this. Flapper between the french doors quit working, so you manually have to close this before you can close the doors. I would never buy this refrigerator again or would recommend to anyone. We paid a lot of $ for this thing.

Visiting technician (not his faults) says the linear compressor used in this LG refrigerator is noisy/louder than others -and suggest we install sound-dampening around the refrigerator. I regret purchasing this LG refrigerator - its louder than the GE we had before. Reminds me of my grandmothers noisy Kelvinator in 1959. Freezer frost is resolved by decreasing the amount of food we stored in the freezer, which was never an issue with our previous unit(s)?!?

My LG double oven range was manufactured in July of 2014. I purchased it not long after. It is now December 2017 and it is over $500 to repair. A relay board has failed and LG cannot get me the part until after Christmas. I got rid of this bad product and purchased a GE stove. LG customer service was abysmal. I will never purchase another LG product again.

Well, Ive finally had it with this machine. We bought it & the matching electric dryer from former homeowners when we bought their house. Guess we should have done more research into the plethora of problems these sorry excuse for an appliance really have. These junkers wouldve been out on the road the second we moved in. First, within a month the dryer died. One morning I turned it on & it started smoking, so that was that. Out to the curb! Next, we had been using the LG steam washer for about 4 months & continually noticed water on the floor around it. Never really found where it was coming from other than a drip streak down the side around the detergent drawer where you add the soap/bleach. Another issue was the door lock kept malfunctioning & wouldnt let the load run unless you either slammed the door shut or put pressure on it with your knee when it was trying to lock. Then the thing would sound like a 747 taking off when it was in spin mode. It would shake violently & eventually wake up the baby with its deafening whir. Finally, it showed an error message saying the pump wasnt able to drain the tub because of a clog or something. So I got on my hands & knees to screw open the drain trap & 5 gallons of water came gushing out all over the floor. There is a small rubber hose down there also, but when I took out the plug on the end of it no water drained out. What gives LG? Do you need a wet/dry vac at the ready to do this procedure or a stack of towels so you dont trash the floor? Very poor design! And doing this did absolutely nothing. Same error code came up & the pump just sickly rumbled. So it is now out on the curb also awaiting a trip to the dump where it belongs. Please, everyone, do not buy these piece of refuse appliances from LG. You will only bring upon yourself great pain & grief. Time to break out the old GE top loader that I know works fine. Glad I held onto it for back up. DONT BUY LG!!!

The inside of my LG front loader washing machine started on fire while it was running on 3/11/15. Fire was contained to the inside wiring/hoses of the machine. Eventually started the dryer on fire as it was right next to it. Called 911 & the fire was put out by the firemen as I waited outside (I was unaware of the cause of the fire at that time as my entire basement was filled with smoke and I ran outside immediately). The entire house is almost unbearable from the smell of the smoke.Called LG and having a difficult time communicating with anyone. Not really sure who else to contact as I seem to be getting nowhere. So far, LG has not been helpful whatsoever.

I bought an LG refrigerator model no. GC-305PS on 16th August 2013 in Brisbane. In February 2014 I noticed the paint on the fridge handle peeling off (small spots). End of March 2014, the peeling is getting much worse & I contact LG by phone. I am requested to send photos of damage by EMAIL & did so. One week later I receive an email informing me the peeling is due to “ROUGH HANDLING” & the company is not responsible.I asked a friend of mine (a spray painter) to check it & he informs me the peeling is mainly on the edge & curved surface where the paint has been applied sparingly. Maybe LG should look at better paint application from the get go. Apart from this, SO FAR no other complaints. I have had other LG products (DVD & BLU RAY) & have received good results with repairs. So maybe this is just to do with the WHITE GOODS SECTION.

LG here you go. I will give credit where credit is due. I have owned an LG washer and dryer front loader for 11 years now. No repair issues as of yet. Only one complaint is the dryer lint filter. I do agree probably a design flaw. It grabs my clothes and snake rolls them. So I did order a new filter and will see how that fixes the issue. I only have one thing to say to those that are furious about your machines. The technology in the digital control panel is crazy. We are not playing with 3-4 dials with resistors to control them (very reliable). If you want to use 50 gallons of water to wash your clothes then buy a basic top loader. By the way enjoy spending 3 times as long doing it. I have the 4.5 cu. ft. washer and enjoy the fact I can wash 15 large towels in it at one shot and dry them usually in 1 auto setting on the dryer. Lastly you can only heat up and cool off a dryer element so many times before it craps out. Like a hair dryer. Most people are angry when writing their review, and some I may understand your frustration. The warranty cant be any more obvious 1 yr parts and labor. Buy an extended warranty if you want more warranty, but they are usually a ripoff. I love my LG and wouldnt swap it for a made in Mexico Whirlpool or Maytag.

We have had the worst experience with our front load LG Washer. It does not wash clean, the clothes come out dirty. It does not wash and rinse with enough water, sometimes when a load is in the rinsing stage I look inside, I can see some part of my clothes are still looking dry... I have been doing laundry for 30 years, I had Whirlpool, Samsung washers, I never encountered any problem. With LG it is a headache, I never had to use bleach, now I find myself using bleach when washing my towels. This is not my only problem. The machine displays 53 minutes for a cycle but then the whole process ends up taking like 2 hours. Our machine is under warranty so we called them twice and both times the repairman came and basically said that there is nothing wrong with our machine, it is doing what is supposed to do. I believe that it was not built right, there was be some errors in the way they designed it. It should not even been called LG washing machine, it should be called LG dirtying machine. I will never buy any LG products again.

I purchased a $1,200, top of the line LG, in September of 2009. November of 2011 the machine came up with an error code of 1E, which the manual states a water inlet valve. So the part was replaced. Guess what? That wasnt the issue, so I contacted LG, and they had me go over some troubleshooting over the phone with no luck. So they gave me appliance repair centers that only deal with LG. To make a long story short, after having 2 parts swapped out - one was for $91.00, the inlet valve was $54.00 and another $91.00 yet to be paid to the appliance repair guy. Oh and I forgot about the computer board (which only has a 5 year warranty) was replaced - I have a $1,200.00 dishwasher that does not work!LG called me to say that they will prorate it by giving me $676.00. After all that was put into it, that comes to $440.00 and I have to send mine back. Hmm. I told LG that this is unacceptable. Her answer, Well sir, its a man made product, so I laughed in which I replied, So if I purchase anything from LG and it craps out after 3 years, I am supposed to just accept that Oh well! Its man made? My fellow consumers out there, beware. Life is not good with LG.

We bought an LG washer one year ago. It started showing an error code last month. I called them, and the code is undiagnosable. For more than 4 weeks, I have been fighting the customer service department, including the team in Philippines and USA. They have absolutely zero empathy and concern for the customer. They have not been able to get my issue fixed at all. And now I am fighting with them about replacement. They seem to have a 1000 different departments for everything, and seem to be extremely poor at coordinating. Also, everything that they tell you...is pretty much a lie!! They go back on it all the time. USA team seems to be even more horrible than the Philippines team!! SO, if your appliance goes bad, you should be ready for a fight and harassment. Not to mention, take a few days/weeks off, apply for FMLA!!! You will need all your day and your emotional and mental energy to get through this.

I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

We bought ALL LG appliances 3 yrs. ago, including their French door-in-door refrigerator. We’ve been without that fridge for THREE WEEKS now!! LG’s customer svc. is shameful. They think 3 wks isn’t unreasonable to live without a fridge. It took 2 wks & dozens of phone calls, hanging on hold for over 10 mins. to even get an LG certified tech assigned to our case. Took another week for THEIR certified tech to receive the new compressor from LG parts. (LG refuses to expedite shipping even when we offered to pay for it). He came, installed the new one & it’s STILL doesn’t work!!!!Admittedly, we were enamored by their products. We drank the “Life’s Good” Koolaid. The only element that differentiates one manufacturer, from another is their customer service when things go wrong. It’s easy to spew “Life’s good” mantra when people are spending millions on your products. It’s what a company does to help its brand loyal customers WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - that is the true measure of their worth. I was an LG brand loyal consumer. I’m over that now & hope to warn others so this nightmare doesn’t happen to them. My neighbor had a similar compressor problem with their Samsung fridge. They received a full refund for what they paid for it, in TWO DAYS!One of my husband’s cancer meds requires refrigeration. Even knowing that, LG customer service reps give the same rehearsed canned response; “we’re sorry for your inconvenience”. 1) They’re NOT “sorry” & 2) Being without a fridge for the whole month of August is considered well beyond “inconvenience”!!! They’re doing NOTHING except continuing to try to get it repaired at a snail’s pace. There’s NO possibility of getting anything done quick with them. I offered to give them MY FedEx acct. # to overnight another compressor. No, they can’t even do that. If I could afford to put this piece of garbage on the curb for trash pick-up, I would. But we bought all new appliances knowing we were going to be retiring & these were supposed to last us as we prepared to live on our fixed incomes. I would go buy a similar fridge by another brand manufacturer if I could, but we’re not drawing the salaries we once did. LG expects us to wait ANOTHER 3 wks or longer to see if their tech can replace the compressor, again. When asked if they could overnight it - no, that’s not their policy. They are a disgrace!!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy and it is three years old. I live in Santa Fe New Mexico and it turns out there are no authorized service people here. I called LG directly and they referred me to people who said they would not even look at an LG refrigerator and wished me luck. After 7 phone calls they advised me to find a service person who would work on it and they would authorize them. I found someone and when they called to get the information LG would not give it to them. I called to get the information how to safely remove the ice and water dispenser to check the control board and they refused to give it to me. I then requested to speak to a supervisor and was told one would call me back the next day. A week has gone by and no call. I would say their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and that is supported by talking to a half dozen repair people in Northern NM who refuse to work on any LG products because they are complicated and there is no support from LG. This is an expensive lesson. A $3000 refrigerator is on the way to the dump after 3 years.

Ive had this fridge for over 3 years and it finally stopped cooling and making ice in April. LG has sent out 3 different technicians to repair it but none of them seems to know what is wrong with it. One tech said the issue was with the compressor, they ordered the part, when the tech came to install the new compressor he said there is nothing wrong with the compressor. It is the motherboard that went out. He returned to install the new motherboard and it is still not working. There is an issue with this particular fridge based on all the reviews Ive seen online. They need to do a recall on this fridge since it is a manufacturing issue and replace all those fridges that people are issues with. I am still waiting for my issue to be resolved.

It would not freeze ice cream and with a couple of weeks stopped working again. The follow up repair which was 06/23/20 appears to have finally resolved the issues with this freezer/refrigerator not cooling and freezing properly. I must say it has been a frustrating few years since the original incident in 2018 thru 2020. LG has resolved the issue finally and I hope this products keep functioning properly. Overall I am satisfied with the last repair done around June 2020. I have not had any problems with the refrigerator since. The repairman was very nice I must say and the 2nd time he was out appears to have fixed the problem.

Bought LG DLE3170 dryer about 3 years ago. In 6 months I started to get troubles with lint screen. During the spinning the screen would start to rise up above the edge on 3-5 mm, just enough to catch the piece of cloth. Then it would swirl it to a tightrope, which would bring along other pieces of clothes and all of them tight up in one huge spiral. At the beginning it have happened extremely rare, but last few months it happens pretty frequently. I tried to level up the dryer to perfection, but it didnt help. My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. Replacing a failed compressor with the same type of compressor time and time again has proven to be very poor strategy, not to mention the inconvenience to your customer during the replacement phase. Loved LG; have 5 LG products in my home. Extremely disappointed with customer service.

I purchased an LG front load washer about 6 months ago from Sears. It began leaking from the bottom within 3 months of purchase. I called LG and after 5 hours of run around through their customer service. Customer service reps are all from India or Philippines. They have no idea what you are saying. They email you videos to watch on how to clean your machine. Finally after I lost my temper they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. We will see what happens. This leak is substantial and has caused major water damage and possibly mold to the walls and floor. Has destroyed the item stored within 6 feet of the washer. I would have called sooner but instead I thought the pipes in my walls or slab leak. After turning the water off to my home I discovered it was my brand new washing machine.

As others have mentioned, we initially bought the model based on the positive reviews we found online. However we too have had multiple issues with the knobs being turned on and gas being on without the burners. The knobs are very, very sensitive and a tiny bump just brushing the knobs will turn it on. Our children are teenagers, but we even looked for baby proof covers because we are so nervous around this stove. It has become a routine to check the knobs multiple times and we ourselves have found the gas on at almost every party we have had just because as others have said walking by and brushing the knob will turn the gas on. We have a party this weekend and are using packing tape to ensure that guests dont accidentally turn on the knobs when they brush against the stove. Honestly if I had another $2,000 to drop on a stove Id replace it right away. For anyone looking, stay, far far away from this stove. It is only a matter of time before someones home or self is injured by this stove. I am honestly surprised with the amount of comments that they have not yet recalled or provided a fix for this.

Purchased 3 yrs ago and been trouble ever since. Freezer freezing up and looks like snow over all my food. One time food wouldnt freeze properly and had fixed so I thought. Over 300.00. Worked for weeks and now trouble again. I am on social security and cant afford these bills. Last refrigerator lasted 19 years and still going with no repairs ever!!! This LG looks good but is big expense and this company should have huge lawsuit for all these bad appliances. They do nothing about. Thanks for listening. Please believe me, they are bad!!!

The tubes in the back for the water and ice maker have sprung leaks 4 times in 8 years. The repairman says that the tubes are too small in diameter. Other makes make them larger. But it has cost me $75 to $100 every time I have to have them repaired. I would not ever buy another LG refrigerator.

My LG refrigerator is 5 months old and has stop cooling completely. When I called they told me that there were no techs available and the scheduling department would contact me within three to five days. When they finally called back, they left a message with the repair company info saying theyd call to set up an appointment. LGs chosen company never called, I had to called them! Once I took off of work the repairman, said the unit needed to be replace. When of course LG disagreed, and now they want to send another tech out? Its already been 9 days without a refrigerator. I totally agree with the other complaints, and will go on every outlet to complain and warn consumers against purchasing their products.

My wife purchased our new LG refrigerator (linear compressor) unit 2 years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty, against my feelings, and am glad we did as the unit failed after only 2 years! Trying to contact LG is next to impossible. I then called the warranty service, this is also a joke as they say they cant have anyone out for over 2 weeks. This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! This is unacceptable for such a major company. I will NEVER recommend, or purchase anything made by LG again!

Bought a $2600 LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It no longer cools and has ruined the contents twice. First repairman refused to do any warranty work for LG. Second repairman said that parts are covered under the warranty, but labor will be $390 - $450. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK THAT IVE EVER PURCHASED. I wished that there was a Lemon Law for refrigerators. Both repairmen said to stay away from LG refrigerators. Not only are they a piece of junk, but you cant get parts in a timely manner. It appears, from reading the reviews, that this is a common problem with LG refrigerators and it looks like the compressors go bad frequently. Im switching to Magic Chef or other Whirlpool brand. I hate to throw away a three year old, $2600, refrigerator, but Ill never trust this or any other LG product again. No wonder LG doesnt participate in this website. My Advice: DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!

We bought a LG refrigerator 1.5 years ago. Very pricey I might add. The Fridge went out. They sent a repair person who replaced the motherboard and thats all he did. He did not check to see if the compressor was working. We wait 12 to 24 hours as he said not working. The compressor is not working. Back to LG We go. They say compressor is covered. They will get back to us on someone coming. They just call today and say they cant find anyone to come and fix it. Now the kicker is We have had no refrigerator since December 10th 2021. After all the hoops LG cant find anyone to fix their product. We live outside Little Rock AR. I have found this whole situation horrible with the way this was handled. I will never recommend a LG product to anyone. Yes there may be fine stuff out there but what if it breaks then you will find out how they stand behind their products. I find it ridiculous the price we pay for refrigerator, washers, dryers etc just for them to be throw away products.

Two years ago I purchased all new LG appliances for my kitchen. The microwave and oven work properly. However the dishwasher and refrigerator are pieces of junk. I upgraded my dishwasher to the Inverter Direct Drive. After trying different loading methods and different brands of D/W soap, the only way my dishes get truly cleaned, is if I use the power scrub setting. This setting runs for 2:45!!!My refrigerator LG model LFX31925ST/02 is even worse!! Every so often it makes loud vibrating sounds (which I have recorded), some banging which results in a chunk of ice that falls out of the bottom. The freezer is on the bottom and has 3 drawers. The top drawer does not maintain freezing temperatures, resulting in defrosted food that has to be thrown out. When I contacted LG Repair service (I paid for extra warranty) I was told that I am not covered for a repair visit, unless the refrigerator acts up in their presence. I advised them that I have photos and videos to prove its poor performance, however that is not sufficient! I called the retail store where I purchased it. After several calls, the store manager called me and apologized because LG would not even cooperate with him!

I bought this model (LSXS26326S) back in 2015, yes this come with 1 year warranty. June 2017, with no clue its just stop being refrigerator, ice not produce, not cool only one thing works is lighting. Called customer service right away, they question me if I have warranty? Yes 1 year warranty. If this case happens 10-20 years later it means this refrigerator already do their jobs, but only 2 years? Dont you think it something wrong might happen with their production? Its not like you bought a car, which is depending on how fast you drive, how aggressive you drive, care taking. But refrigerator what I only do is put food into refrigerator thats it. This refrigerator cost 1.5 k not some hundred dollar. I made a decision to purchase LG brands because I think that I could TRUST them. LG team gave me time to fix this on July 29th which is I could not accept this. I would like to get a same new working refrigerator or higher immediately or full refund so I can buy a refrigerator to keep my food cold and because I feel like I pay too much for this refrigerator that only working for 2 years. LG CASE NO. : **. They put me on Live Chat and waiting about 30 minutes and end up with screen was refreshing by itself and back to beginning again. Buy another brand.

I have read through almost every comment on here and have to agree with how dissatisfied I am and what a disappointment these machines are. Class action suit please! I have the squeaky tub and mildew/musty smell I cant get rid of. Additionally, hot water is non-existent. It seems in my machine and I cant seem to select Sanitize no matter what I press. Oh, and bleach? I cant tell you how many loads of clothes have been ruined because the bleach does not fully wash out of the dispenser in one wash. It leaks into other loads afterwards.Seriously, a class-action suit needs to be started. How is it that a company / product has so many widespread complaints and concerns with mostly nothing being done about these problems and yet are still able to market their products without any consequences? Lastly, Sandy who has commented on this page is obviously affiliated with LG. I could go on and on with many valid points decimating her comments, but suffice it to say that a washing machine that you have to baby to keep running is a piece of garbage.

Appliance group discounts promotion at Home Depot for matching set of fridge, stove, dishwasher. I dont think LG appliances are very durable whereas Kenmore, Frigidaire, Maytag, etc. last longer. Ice and water dispenser combo on door makes it easy to get a drink but also drips or leaks as outages. Cartridge change for water filter not convenient to access to change and is costly. Perhaps a longer-lasting cartridge or easier filtration, I dont like having to change these.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

I have been loading home dishwashers for over sixty years and my LGF7774 is the worst, and I must say, nearly impossible to load effectively. Because it doesn’t seem to be designed for actual dishes, it takes longer to load, as I have to move things around constantly to get them where they will actually get clean. The top rack areas for glasses seems to be slanted wrong and are the wrong width. As a result the glasses often fall over and break as I’m closing the tray. The bottom rack is even more frustrating. Those prongs that flop down to accommodate (what?), pans perhaps, may have seemed like a good idea to some engineer, but in use they plop down whether you want them to or not. The bottom of the lower rack could also use some redesigning. I have many square dishes and have to be over-cautious about seeing that the corners don’t extend downward where they will interfere with the spray arm.The dishes washed appear to be clean, but don’t smell clean. I’m asking the world of manufacturers, “If the user has to rewash things, or wash them before using a machine, how much water and electricity is that saving? And if I cover the food-left-on smell with a scented rinse does that make the dishes cleaner?” In fairness I must add that I just discovered that it has an extra rinse cycle and am at the moment trying that one out.

I bought an LG Refrig/Freezer side by side unit in 2013. Within four months, the doors stopped sealing causing all food inside to spoil while I was out of town. Not covered by warranty, spent over $200 to have it repaired. Repair seal was no better which resulted in a second spoilage and waste of hundreds of dollars of food. Spent another $200 - all this within a year. I bought LG because they were supposedly good. I have learned the hard way. This is far from the truth. This morning my refrigerator was dead at the age of 31 months. After calling support number I was told to hire a technician. Instead I have emptied it out and am pushing it out to the curb where it belongs - in a trash dump. Bottom line is LG refrigerators are LEMONS. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER BUY ONE.

Updated on 01/20/2020: I had hoped to update my review to at least Satisfactory, but NO. An LG repair man was here this morning, the refrigerator is seemingly fixed - but we will see. The problem is that when my husband talked to LG last week they said the cost of parts would be NO Charge. Then the guy gets here today and says only the compressor is covered - but in order to replace the compressor he has to literally break another part which WE have to PAY FOR! How is that even a thing? I am floored by this shoddy engineering. So, it costed us $360 to repair a part covered under warranty. To top it off the man was so rude to me, kept leaving the front door wide open, including the screen door which HE locked open, and we have a dog. I kept closing the door behind him - take a hint. Then, he moves the refrigerator back (almost to where it belonged) and created 2 long black marks across 3 of our floor tiles. He intended to leave without even addressing that. I grabbed a rag and tried to clean it up and it would not come clean. He said Give me that! (just like that) and tried to wipe it up himself, to no avail. He then grabbed something out of his little bag and started scraping the floor. The marks started to fade a little. He then stands up, says Here and hands me a small piece of sand paper. Now I have to clean this up?? I could hardly believe my eyes, but by this point I just wanted him to leave my house. I have never experience such poor customer service. This is day 9 without a fridge, taking up space in neighbors freezer, buying ice to keep everyday items cold! My initial thought still stands, no more LG for me.Original review: While other manufacturers allow major appliance warranties to be transferred, as when you buy a house, LG does NOT. So, the new owner a $3,000 refrigerator that fails is completely out of luck. Sad, I will NEVER buy another LG product, and if I ever buy another house, the brand of appliances will be a factor in decision. Shame on LG!

We purchased an LG WM1814CW washer and DLE2514W dryer six years ago from our local Home Depot. The washer truly has been a workhorse. We have no complaints about it at all. The issues we have are with the dryer. The drum split down its seam a year after we purchased it and was replaced at no charge, because we had also purchased the extended warranty. With a year to go on the warranty, we started having issues where the unit wouldnt start when the Start/Pause button was depressed. We didnt think much of it being that it was a rare occurrence. Less than a month after the extended warranty expired, the unit really started having major issues with this. Wed press the Start/Pause button, but the unit wouldnt begin the dry cycle. It would instead hum loudly and you could tell something was getting hot internally. I contacted the customer service department, asking if they would cover the repair because of the history with the unit. They flat out refused. Now this problem happens frequently and the only way to get the dryer going is to open the door, depress the Start/Pause button and the button just inside the door at the same time while manually rotating the drum to give it a jump start. Once the drum is rotating, we have to quickly shut the door hoping nothing gets caught in it in the process. If it does, we have to try it again. Occasionally it starts to go but then falters. If we press the Start/Pause button again, it may or may not go. We have been able to deal with it like this for the past 2-3 years. We did bring in a separate repairman to see if he could fix it, but he couldnt cipher what the problem was and ultimately gave up (after giving us his bill, of course). I guess one of the last straws with my dealings with LG was when they started sending us emails after refusing to cover the repair. The emails referred to my wife and I as valued customers. I told them in no uncertain terms that if we truly were valued customers, theyd repair the dryer at no charge to us.Because of the extremely poor customer service we received, I will never ever own another product made by this company. I dont care what the reviews are and I dont care how good the price is. Never again will an LG product cross my threshold.

I had to get mad and ask for a supervisor just to get them to send out someone. And now, it is doing it again. The fan in the freezer is plastic and when it gets an ice build up, it starts making a very loud noise. We paid over $3,000 for our new refrigerator. I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

Buying a $2,000+ refrigerator that makes excessive noise is unarguably a significant issue. LG claims this noise is normal, and I dispute that. Compressor noise that can be heard in other rooms is not normal. While LG did send a technician out to assess this issue, that was inconclusive, and the best LG can offer is to send another one out. But if the noise - the worst Ive experienced with any refrigerator for decades - is considered normal, why bother. When buying an LG refrigerator, be sure to buy the retailers extended warranty that allows a return after 3 (or whatever) attempts to repair.

I loved our LG French Door refrigerator with the indoor ice maker. Some friends of ours even purchased the same model after seeing ours. Earlier this week, the ice maker stopped working. After trying the suggestions in the model, we called for a repair. Within minutes of looking at the ice maker, the technician informed us that we needed a new ice maker. The total cost for the repair--$390! This refrigerator is only a little over 3 years old. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of our LG refrigerator and will think twice before buying another LG appliance.

LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on
LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on at all. I figured it was the cord, got pulled or something of that matter. I called to inquire on warranty and set appointment for repair. The place it was purchased gave me the number of the repairmen and the repairman showed and said he was not certified to work on LG, call Sears. So, I called Sears and they offered a warranty that would cover all repairs and services for $274, actually $300.00 after tax. They set a 2nd appointment, they show and tell me that $900+ in repairs and I only have $500.00 worth of coverage. I questioned the repairman that warranty was to cover all repairs/pans underneath and the ice maker, which is funny because it is not hooked up to water for ice. I guess he has some spirit that will tell him and guess what, it needs a new cord. I had Sears email the so called extended warranty. It only covers $500.00 toward repairs, or $500 credit at Sears, or I can have my $300.00 back. Wow, this is service that says to the consumer, I will sell a warranty that sounds great but the actual warranty covers LG for selling a $2,000.00+ fridge that is only worth $500.00 maybe and that is only when it is under 2 years old.

Update on 06/11/2020: It is now June 11th and there still is no resolve even though my original review states there is a resolution in process. It is true that LG reached out to me as shown below however, I responded to them and I have heard nothing back. As far as Im concerned, this reaching out with a form e-mail is just more of the same. If I could give LG zero stars I would.Original Review: I have a top of the line washer that is still under warranty that will not run. I called LG on 5/30 and it was determined by them someone needed to come to my home. I was assigned to a second rate authorized agent that operates out of his home. I called this agent on 6/2 because I never heard from them during the 24-48 business hour time frame. (It was at this point that I did some research on who they were and found bad reviews for them.) To make a very long story short I was promised on 6/2 that a reputable company I found would be assigned to me and it would be 24-48 hours before Id hear. I found this company on LGs website as an authorized service agent and when I called them directly, they informed me they were available to come out the next day if LG would assign it to them. As I said, LG promised this would be done. When I heard nothing, I called them once again on 6/4. I spoke with a very nice rep (her name was Jess) who transferred me to executive services and I was told by that lady that the company I requested had no availability. I informed her that I had been told they would be able to come out the following day if LG would assign it to them and this is what was supposed to be being done. When I asked her to hold for a minute, I placed a call to the company I requested and as I began leaving a message as to what I had been told by LG, the LG executive services lady hung up on me. She was able to hear me leaving this message as I was using a separate phone line. So, this morning I called the authorized agent and told them what I had been told (that they had no availability) and I was told that simply was not true. So, I called LG back and this time I was told by the authorized agent I spoke with didnt have an open contract with them and they couldnt be assigned to me. Finally, the truth! In other words, they didnt have a negotiated rate with LG, much like it is with HMO Insurance. At any rate, he contacted the authorized to see if they would agree to make my repair with just an order # and they agreed they would, however, LG has to send them the amount they are willing to pay and if the authorized agent agrees to it they will do the repair and if not, we are back to square one. So, they have till Monday (6/8) to get back with me however, they will only be contacting me if its a go. If not, I have to call them back and start all over. I have a feeling I will be calling them back to start at square one. LIFE certainly isnt GOOD! I purchased this machine based on Consumer Reports testing and we were just about to buy an LG Smart TV and soundbar because they also have a very high rating. But there is no way we are going to based solely on the fact that they have horrible customer service!

The most awesome refrigerator ever. I like the side by design. The look is very clean and attractive. It is great to have ice and not need to fill an ice tray. The slim style holds a lot of food like to get water from the door. This makes me thing to drink more water every time I pass by. The last several refrigerators ended with a wet mess on the food or frozen drinks. This fridge has done none of that. I like the organization of the food. There is ample room for all the items include milk in the door. We purchased the fridge because of the inner volume.

Bought this piece of trash 2 years ago at Best Buy. Highly recommended, well motor under warranty made grinding noise. Tech comes out, said no its the inverter drive and cost $224.00 including parts to fix. Ok we pay. 2 months and 1 week later the inside tub (bottom round agitator) starts to rise so its floating with the clothes. Called LG. They said another $224.00 to come out minimum cost with 60 day warranty. Why would I spend more money on this rip-off.

I purchased glass top electric range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave about 7 years ago. I’ve already had all 3 major appliance serviced. Dishwasher 6mos after purchase, frig 3 yrs, range 6 mod ago flashed F9 no heat in oven. Now 2 LG elements on stove, sometimes heat up, sometimes not. Usually if I put them on high the will go on, but can’t regulate them. I’ve always owned GE appliances and never replaced bc they no longer worked. They’d been out dated. This will be my 2nd repair for a couple hundred $$ within 6mos on a 7yr old stove. Also NO ONE wants to service LG. At least in my area. Appliances look great but not dependable.

Updated on 10/08/2020: LG asked for information on 9/30/2020 so they can send out a repairman and I havent heard from anyone since. I have two kids to feed and I need my stove, it would be of great service if LG would honor their word and product.Original Review: We replaced all of our GE appliances that we had well over ten years with LG because of the design and salesman said its a good product. The gas range model# LRG3193BD, side by side refrigerator model #LSXS26386D, dishwasher model #805KWYPOP434 and the front load washer and dryer spending a good $8000 less than 2yrs ago. The stove looks like its 10yrs old (easy clean is a whole joke, food seared on pretty blue oven which I now have to clean myself). We have discoloration on the door handle, knobs, grates and burners all within a couple months of use.. Now the main board has gone out and to top that off we find out it has since been discontinued. Called LG customer service (nightmare). They refused to sell us the part saying only license repair Co can order. Had to pay repair Co $116 come to tell us they cannot get the part. Called LG again (nightmare) and all of a sudden they can send us the part for $106 but its on backordered. The refrigerator is discoloring in areas we dont even touch and the ice-maker starts and stops when it wants to. The dishwasher doesnt clean or dry well and the slightest touch turns it on. Where you put the detergents has rusted and its hard to clean and we have to leave the washer open after use or it smells to high heaven, dryer is ok. Remember these products are no more than 2yrs old. I will never buy LG products again nor will I recommend to anyone!

I spent $2,000 on an LG refrigerator in October of 2016. It has not worked since April of 2018. I have made over 30 calls to LG. They have sent 4 technicians out to repair. Each technician has said it is unrepairable and sent necessary paperwork to LG for replacement. I have even submitted a report with the BBB and sent all necessary receipts for fridge and lost food like they requested for replacement and compensation for food lost. LG said they would call back within 5 days and take care of. NOTHING. I have now called 5 times in the last week and even if you get someone to answer - they ask the SAME THING give us your email address so we can send you link to a website to upload your proof of purchase. They NEVER send you an email!! Lies, lies, lies!!! They are crooks!! Their product is junk and their customer service is even worse!! Beware - NEVER buy an LG product!!

My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last
My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last Saturday, Aug. 10. I called LG Monday morning, and they referred me to their repair service, a company called ANE. After I called them, they finally sent out a repairman yesterday (Thursday), and he told me I had a bad circuit board and possibly a compressor. The parts would have to be ordered, and I probably would not have the unit working for another two weeks. The bill will be about $500. When I asked him how I was supposed to live without refrigeration for that long, he replied, Go rent one. That is indescribably bad customer service. To add insult to injury, it is quite apparent neither LG nor ANE could care less. LG Customer Service is an oxymoron. Please stay away from this company and Samsung as well (they also use ANE) until they establish a better service provider.

I finally had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to get a buy back. But I went over 2 months without a fridge. 2 months of dealing with LG who really cared less about my issues. I wish I could give LG a big fat ZERO because that’s what they deserve. I purchased a side by side LG refrigerator two years ago. Six months ago, the ice maker stopped working. Then it started working again four weeks ago, but only for a couple of days. Then the freezer stopped freezing. All my food thawed out and ended up in the trash. Then a few days later, the fridge itself stopped working with the exception of the water. Called LG customer service. They sent someone out five days later (after all the food in the unit ended up in the trash). The tech said he changed the compressor. The following day, the unit is still not working AND now the water isn’t working either. Tech came back out. Said the water line got tangled but now it’s fixed. Over the next five days, the unit worked for a few hours, then stopped. More food spoiled. LG sent the tech out a third time. This time he claims it was the Freon and possibly the motherboard. He left saying it should work now. It didn’t. Now it’s been another five days, more spoiled food. LG scheduled an appointment for yesterday. No one showed up. Called them. They apologized for the confusion and said someone would be here today. No one showed up again. Called them again. Now they said someone will be here tomorrow. Their products stink and so does their customer service. I will never buy another one of their products again!

Bought new bottom freezer french door refrigerator in February 2011, now in December 2011 fridge wont fully cool and water is leaking at the back left and from the bottom of the fridge. Called service at LG and they gave me a company who will fix. Four days later they called and said they do not service the area. Then LG gave me another company very far away and they didnt answer as they were on vacation. Finally after about 8 days, LG sent out someone who worked directly for them and he only fixed the filter and said everything else was fine. The temperature (noted by two new thermometers I have bought) inside was 42, despite the thermostat being set at 34! This man said it was the food that was supposed to be 34 not the air temperature! He said we needed to get a special thermometer to test the food temperature. That was crazy. The food was slowly going bad again. I have moved food in and out of he fridge because I have been told it needs to be empty for fixing and then told I could put food back in after it was fixed (it wasnt). This has happened three times. It is now three weeks later and while the water is no longer leaking, the fridge part is still not cooling properly. Their repair man says it is fixed. Very interesting that the warranty is going to be up in a few weeks. LG says someone will come out in three days. Why is it that they have no contract with fixer companies in my urban area (DC)? That is because the companies say LG pays very little to these companies and they dont want to work for them doing free warranty work. This is unacceptable.I have lost 100s of dollars of food over Christmas and New Year. I want all of us to file a class action lawsuit. I am truly fed up.

Lack of an agitator may or may not be the cause, but this device twists items deposited into a ball and finishes with a big question as to what, if any, items were thoroughly cleaned. The initial jiggling of items in such small water appears to be a designers mental excursion with little reality involved. The standard setting muddles items in a VERY LOW LEVEL of highly-concentrated dirty water due to the water-saver nature of the device. Whatever happened to good cleaning? OR is water so expensive that we should settle for less-clean clothing. Weve owned washers and dryers for 54 years and have never experienced any worth these words. Enough said?

We bought our LG front load model WM2487HRM in 2008 and about 6 months after, it started shaking so bad that our whole house would shake. My husband put some vibration pads under the feet and these seem to help for a long time. However, the mold and regular cleaning has been terrible. In the last year, we have been using only the low spin with only using light loads. This seems to elevate the washer moving a foot, however, it now moves about a foot with all three. The low spin, only putting in half load or less with the pads under the feet as well. There are other problems too. The washer will leak from the front. The washer will sometimes not get the soap into the drum. We have tried all of these options because the set cost $3,200.00, which is ridiculous considering our problems. It will cost $800.00 to $1,200.00 to fix and at this point, we will wait and buy another. But not the same brand.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

Our LG LFXS24623 fridge experienced a compressor failure at 2 years after purchase. LG shows a 10 year warranty on the compressor however that is on the parts ONLY. I spent $400 for a Sears tech to install the free part. According to the tech he is replacing compressors on LG fridges constantly and there is a class action lawsuit against LG for compressor failures. In addition to the compressor issues, the ice maker is faulty and requires constant fidgeting to make it work. This is another known issue on LG products. The only thing worse than the design/build quality on LG appliances is their customer service. They are in some foreign country, they read off a script, are extremely unhelpful, will not pass you to a supervisor on request, etc. Life is definitely NOT GOOD with LG.

I will NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought at HHGregg in August of 2012 (Model WT5170HV) has been nothing but a disappointment. LG customer service is terrible! They blame the owner for any problems. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. The area around the bleach dispenser rusted when it was two years old. They did replace the top but when the service tech arrived he just laughed. I do a lot of this, he said with a smile. Your new top will do the same thing in a year or two. Gee, what a vote of confidence. I purchased an extended service plan and Im glad I did. The washer controls do not work. Two new system boards are on order. The repairman told me that without the warranty it would be an expensive repair. He noticed the rust and told me I needed to call LG and get an APM# so the top can be replaced. Just waiting on the new system boards and taking my laundry to the laundromat. Now, just two years later the rust is back but now it is even worse. The washer is rusting around the bleach dispenser and the entire top of the lid opening. Rust is falling into the wash. I phoned LG and was told that they only replace the top once. I must be getting water and bleach on the metal and that I should be wiping it every time I complete a wash. I told the customer service advisor that this was impossible since the rust was under the top. I got nowhere with them and was advised I could get it replaced at my expense. Do you want rust on your clothes? Really? Then why does use water and bleach! Is no liquid is ever supposed to touch it? LG told me the rust is just a cosmetic issue. After owning this washer a little over three years, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! I paid a large amount of money for this machine thinking I was buying the best Top of the Line. What a joke! Serviceman told me after he repairs it I will be lucky to get five years; the average lifespan of this washer. The washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, but it only covers the motor. I will NEVER PURCHASE another LG product. Buyer beware LG. Do yourself a favor. Buy an inexpensive machine without all the bells and whistle. You will be much better off. The service tech offered that advice.

My LG refrigerator has a ton of space. I love how they designed the ice maker to be space saving, so that I may fully utilize my door space. Other refrigerators that Ive seen have the ice maker taking up all of the door space. I love that I can change the shelves inside of the refrigerator and the door in a door function is just amazing. The refrigerator drawer is an amazing feature and we use that for everything from wine and pop to lunchmeat and cheese. The freezer drawer is also an easy to use part of this refrigerator, I was amazed at how easy it is to make the most of that space. All in all this is the best refrigerator we have ever owned. I have been very unhappy with our front load LG washer. It frequently leaves brown streaks and stains on our clothes and sheets. We cant get these stains out with bleach or other cleaning products even with multiple washes. Im sure the dollar value of ruined clothes and sheets is more than the washing machine cost! Imagine buying brand new clothes and sheets and theyre instantly ruined after one wash!Weve tried cleaning the inside of the washing machine multiple times with varying products. Weve also cleaned the soap dispenser and drain pump area. Weve spent lots of time trying to fix this, and we still get brown streaky stains on our clothes. It is very difficult to clean the drain pump filter area. It is so low to the ground that you cant get any item below it to collect the stinky water that flows out so it goes all over the floor. Were we supposed to install the washing machine on stilts?! The hose to drain the filter area has never worked. Its also very hard to clean the rubber door seal. We wipe it down after every use. It looks like some brown mildew gets stuck between the rubber seal and metal part of the door but its impossible to get to. I wish we had our old-school top loader washing machine.

We purchased this fridge in 2010, to the tune of $2,500-. We have had so many issues with it that we are now on our 3rd replacement model. Fortunately, I bought the 5 yr warranty with the store. This last fridge, LG would only cover the pro rated portion remaining, so the warranty company covered the difference. And I had to pay another $500- for another 5 year warranty. I replaced all of my kitchen appliances with LG 18 months ago. The dishwasher control panel died one month out of warranty and LG refused to cover it. Cost me $350 to repair a one-year-old $500 dishwasher. Now my refrigerator compressor has died. This time, LG is covering the repair under warranty, and the experience over the phone with their customer service department hasnt been too bad. But from reading reviews, poor reliability is typical for LG appliances. I expect the new compressor wont last any longer than the original and Ill be going through this again in 18 months. Ive only owned this piece of garbage for 4 years. Ive had the repairmen out 6 times and the freezer still doesnt work. LG still refuses to replace it. Be smart, buy something other than LG.

Purchased LG top load washer from Lowes this past March. I noticed issues with washer May. The Washer machine would not finish its spin cycle; stuck with one minute left for over 20 minutes. Stopped washer. Clothes felt heavy. Long story made short. Ive had two different repair companies visit 4 times in a three month period for the same problem. LG claims part sent out was defective. Last repair person told me I can either accept another appointment with another part (computer) or ask for my money back. He suggested to get money back and another brand. Not LG.When I spoke to an LG rep, he told me the report came back fine; no problems reported. I told him that is incorrect. I called the tech back and explained what LG said. He told me that is not true. However, it is out-of-his-hands. I called LG back, and came across horrible customer service. An LG rep hung up on me regarding to speak to a supervisor. I call back and ask another rep if I can schedule another appointment in order for tech to come out and reverify the same issue. LG rep said I couldnt make an appointment because the report said the machine is ok.I am frustrated and saddened that as a consumer I cant get this resolved. I did go back to the store where I purchased the washer. They called LG. They told LG I wasnt satisfied with the washer and that I have a warranty. Mind you this issue is still under the manufacturers warranty; less than twelve months. I also have a three year extended warranty. I do not recommend anything from LG. The customer service at LG doesnt care about the customer. I have more to say, but I wont. I spent a total of $700 for a washer that doesnt work. LG pretends everything is ok. I spend more time washing my clothes outside my home. This isnt fair. There should be a LEMON law for appliances.

My experience with this washer has been completely unacceptable. When attempting to run a small load, the machine shuts down completely during the spin cycle due to imbalance. On one occasion it took over three hours to complete a small load as the load had to be redistributed and the washer restarted on three/four separate occasions. When I e-mailed LG regarding this problem I was told to check the circuit breaker!! This is a design flaw. LG as well as some other manufacturers have eliminated the costly, heavy and expensive transmissions found in earlier washers with a system that just plain doesnt work. The agitation is so poor that clothing in the middle of the load barely gets wet much less cleaned. I am tired of removing dirty laundry from this machine after the load is done.

We bought a new LG refrigerator from Lowes a little over two years ago. The freezer quit freezing. We called, paid their set fee for repairs and set the appointment, a week out. They came, diagnosed compressor issue. They had to order it. It finally came. We called again. Another couple of weeks before they came to install. They said to give it a few days to work. Its still not working and they cant come until Monday -- over two weeks after the new compressor was installed. And now the refrigerator portion is not cooling. Each time we call, they merely say Im sorry. We have been homeowners for over 25 years and have never had appliance issues. DO NOT BUY AN LG!!! I wish I had known. I wont make the mistake again. Substandard appliance and substandard service.

LG counter defpth fridge LRFD21855ST: I have had my fridge since 2007. In the last 3 years, I have had an appliance repairman come out no less than 6 times to repair the water lines to the water dispenser/ice maker. This last time, it worked for 2 months so I have to call again. I trust my repairman (who hates LG btw). The cheap plastic parts they put in just keep breaking. For the money I spent on it, it should last longer than this.

I purchased an the 22 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator. Delivery was delayed 17 days. I moved to a new state where I know no one! 17 days of eating out during Covid times was challenging and expensive. I asked LG for an inconvenience fee and was offered $25! I said no. Then I was offered $50, then $75. I refused all offers. I was spending $30-$50 a day in eating out which cost me over $800! I asked to speak to a manager, who after one week of waiting, never called. I spent countless hours waiting on hold with LG customer service. The last attempt today I spoke with Tim who actually argued with me. He insisted that LG will not give more than $75. I work in customer service and call centers so I know what they are allowed to offer and say. Tim was more than rude and had zero understanding nor care of my situation. He continually cut me off when I was speaking! Who does he think he is?I love my fridge, but the customer service at LG needs a full revamp! I hope the call was recorded because Tim should be fired for how he spoke to me. Apparently a manager is supposed to contact me.... This is the 2nd time Ive heard that. Well see. LG has not heard the last of me. Im now even more angry with how I have been treated. After 17 days with no fridge and now 2 weeks of waiting on hold with LG....unbelievable!

I like the microwave but I wish the control pad was lit. It would make things easier. The microwave works very well and is dependable and I am happy with it other than the control pad. If I ever have to get another one I would consider getting this brand again.

Purchased the complete LG black stainless kitchen set up for our newly constructed home. Appliances were purchased at Sears and delivered by them to our new home. Microwave was badly damaged off the truck so it was reordered (Sears fault). Dishwasher, Refrigerator, and Double oven were not damaged as we examined the boxes for exterior crushing or creases. The dishwasher leaked like a sieve the first time we used it!! My husband checked to make sure all hoses were attached properly and all fittings were tight. We could not use the dishwasher at all as it leaked so badly it was ruining our new flooring and leaking into our basement.I took a video as we pulled out the unit and ran it and it was obvious that the leak was coming from the back of the unit. LG repair came over and determined that it was damaged at delivery! I still had the box. No damage to the unit during delivery. LG refused after months and months and pic after pic sent to their US offices and their South Korean offices. This unit was dropped and creased across the back during manufacturing and they kept telling me that it was Sears fault. I could not, in good conscience, blame Sears as I had personally examined the box when it arrived at our home. After 10 mos. of arguing with LG, I went to the local Sears store where we had purchased not just the 4 LG appliances, but a beer fridge, for the basement and a freezer for the basement as well totaling more than $11,000 in one purchase. We had also purchased appliances from them in the past. The new store manager, upon hearing my story from the saleswoman from whom we purchased our appliance, made it right. I told him that I never relented on the story that it was not Sears fault but a manufacturers defect. He appreciated my honesty with LG and replaced the dishwasher.Moving on now to the microwave. After finally receiving the new microwave 3 months after the other appliances were delivered. It was only 5 mos. before the digital display started acting wacky. Then the microwave worked intermittently. Again, I called LG. They assured me that they do not have manufacturing defects as their quality control is above reproach. I said, Great sent me a repairman as it is under warranty. Scott, from LG, ordered a new door which contained all the inner workings of the unit but it was the wrong color. He reordered, came by and replaced it only to find it didnt work either as a week later it was acting like the door he just replaced. Finally Scott was able to get the right door and it works. That process took 2 months.Just before Thanksgiving, 2017, we noticed just under the handle of our new refrigerator, the paint was peeling off of the black stainless finish. It is not an area of the door that we touch regularly or even at all except to wipe down. After the holiday, I sucked it up and called LG once again. LG in South Korea told us the warranty was up on the refrigerator and there was nothing they could do. I told her to take a look at the history on our previous appliance issues and that it may be time for us to possibly file suit with the company as now its 3 out of 4 of their garbage products that have caused us no end of grief and that Sears has documentation and I have pictures and other paperwork accumulated over the year from hell since we made the purchase of their products. She put me on hold!Scott came into our lives once again and ordered a new door and installed as we decorated our Christmas tree! I thanked him and told him that our oven would probably go afoul soon and we may see him again. He answered questions I had about the knobs on the front of our LG stove that when bumped, turn on without you knowing and have emitted gas. My worry is that I will bump a knob and be on my way out rather than the 3 times it happened while we were home and smelled the gas fumes. Scott said there was some kind of kit we could get to prevent the problem. Why didnt LG tell us that at some point. I will order it as soon as I finish this post to assure the safety of our home and family. Please do not purchase appliances from LG! They are dishonest in their dealings and lied to us over and over and I have it documented. Some of their local repair affiliates are hand in hand with them and lie for them without doing their work. They walk in and determine it was someone elses fault and tell you to go after them. Sears in North Olmsted, OH made the situation with the dishwasher they sold us right. I cannot thank them enough. Sears has a contract with LG and other manufacturers that says that Sears repair may not touch LG products that are under warranty. They are not allowed to look at your appliance if it is under LGs warranty or the warranty becomes null and void. The consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer as we were and the manufacturer, LG, is dishonest in their dealings.

I have had my LG refrigerator just over 1 year and the compressor has gone out today. I can not get a repair person to even look at it, including those listed on the LG site, because of the issue with these compressors and the trouble getting parts.

LG service technician came to fix our fridge 20-25 min earlier than the 2-hour appointment window started. I said we will be there by the time the window starts (2pm). He said he may wait. I said he needs to wait because I am leaving my work because of this. When I am driving on my home road (30 seconds from home), he drives past me. It is now 2:00pm. So he left before or exactly at 2:00pm and did not bother to call me. I struggled to get my phone and call him to get back. The time is now 2:01pm. He refused to turn back. His name is Scott and he is employed by LG.

This is the worst washing machine or even appliance I have ever purchased. It does not level as it is supposed to, 95% of the time it takes hours and multiple times moving the laundry around manually. Total garbage and it was not inexpensive!

Purchased LG product in November 2014 and it did not even last 5 years. Compressor is not working and cost of labor to replace is over $700.00. LG will only assist with cost of repair for 36 months. It is evident that LG does not produce quality produce. If LG invested in a quality product, then LG would stand behind its products and company would offer assistance if their refrigerator stopped working after 4.5 years.
