Product Reviews:

Unfortunately we did not read reviews before purchasing our LG Model 5040ST
Unfortunately we did not read reviews before purchasing our LG Model 5040ST Dishwasher in June 2013 through a local Home Depot. We were replacing a dishwasher that had run well for several years but which finally sprang enough leaks that it could not be patched and we also hoped to improve the water usage/efficiency with a newer appliance. We liked the efficiency ratings, noise ratings, and features for the LG and got a great deal on one normally priced at nearly $700 for a mere $498. The plastic components discolored very quickly and became gray and somewhat brittle. However, it continued to clean, although it slowly became progressively more noisy. Two months ago we got the dreaded message that the motor was seized.Calling LG, I spoke with Bryan who I finally had to ask to stop eating while talking with me so we could get through the call a bit quicker. I explained at the beginning of the call that the motor had seized according to the diagnostics. At the end of his script of questions, he asked me what the problem was. Ultimately he told me it wasnt in warranty and I had to tell him that the parts were still under warranty. He agreed, but then told me it would likely cost $75 for a visit and around $200 in labor so he wasnt sure it was worth repairing. When I told him I would like to get the contacts of the approved repair folks, he gave me two numbers. He then asked me if he could have my email address so they could send me promotional materials about other LG products. I told him that a dishwasher whose motor seized after less than 18 months of use was not a great advertisement for the brand so no, he could not have my email address to promote other products. We have had four dishwashers in 40 years. Each has lasted 8-9 years minimum - and one we simply left behind in a move and it continued to be used by the people we left it with for several more years. The dishwasher is very attractive and still looks brand new. After my husband and I talked through what it would cost to get this repaired - with the same type of motor that seized after just 18 months, and with the clear lack of care or pride of ownership by LG representatives, we decided there was little point and we are putting it out on the curb. Instead, we went back online to renew our subscription to companies that we trust that rate appliances and next time we will do more research first. I have no illusions that LG cares one bit about their products or they would have better trained personnel on their call centers and they would have a product that meets minimum expectations for a common household appliance. My only reason for submitting this review is to hopefully help someone else make a more informed decision. Im just so sorry I didnt come here first.

We bought an LG washer one year ago. It started showing an error code last month. I called them, and the code is undiagnosable. For more than 4 weeks, I have been fighting the customer service department, including the team in Philippines and USA. They have absolutely zero empathy and concern for the customer. They have not been able to get my issue fixed at all. And now I am fighting with them about replacement. They seem to have a 1000 different departments for everything, and seem to be extremely poor at coordinating. Also, everything that they tell you...is pretty much a lie!! They go back on it all the time. USA team seems to be even more horrible than the Philippines team!! SO, if your appliance goes bad, you should be ready for a fight and harassment. Not to mention, take a few days/weeks off, apply for FMLA!!! You will need all your day and your emotional and mental energy to get through this.

Used the self cleaning feature on the oven (3 hrs)! When completed, the inside was blistered and black! Mfg warranty sent technician out, who took video and spoke with executive technical support, who walked him through troubleshooting! The on premise technician was told by the executive technician to have me call customer service, which I immediately did! Spoke with nice lady, ** in Alabama who advised me she needed to find out why the ex. Technician didnt resolve the problem. I asked to speak with Manager, she said 35 of them are in a meeting! But she would call back today! Waiting!

Bought the LG direct drive dishwasher in May 2012, worked for 2 years then stopped working. We had a repair person come out and they replaced the motor and drain pump which didnt fix it. They came back and replaced the motherboard which didnt fix it, then replaced the water inlet and it worked for 2 months and now its not working properly again, not drying dishes. I think its the heating element this time, ridiculous.

LG is a brand I really trust that is on the cutting edge of innovation and I am proud to have in my manor. It looks beautiful in the kitchen with the other stainless steel appliances. The LG refrigerator is stainless steel which makes it very attractive and resistant to fingerprints and smudges somewhat. The cubic foot footage is excellent and it has an ice maker and water dispenser as well as ample storage space and drawers. Its just a beautiful refrigerator. I considered several brands but LG was definitely one of the most stylish looking and was fully loaded with features and innovation at a price which was very reasonable considering the others.

I purchased an LG front loading stackable washer (Model #WM3270CW) in April 2018. I contacted Lowes (place of purchase) in May 2018 due to washer banging and shaking when spinning. Service rep came and adjusted front right leg and said problem was due to being unbalanced and issue now fixed. Washer still having same issues. Contacted Lowes again and was advised to contact LG as they were unable to fix the problem. LG service rep came in August and advised would do nothing since I had not removed the attached stackable dryer. Shortly thereafter 2 boxes containing parts was received from LG with no explanation. LG now tells me to contact Lowes to fix the problem since I will not remove the dryer. Explained to them that I am 61 yr old female unable to remove the dryer which made no difference to customer service rep. Will NEVER purchase LG product again!

Purchased the LG glass cooktop stove as part of a package - model # LRE3193ST in Oct. 2017, less than 2 years ago and one of the glass stove top burners started turning on by itself. I was awoken at 1:30 am this past Sat by smoke alarm because of a fire. I had placed a dish towel on top of the stove which I had not used for 3 days. Today I came home from work and the same burner was on HIGH. Thankfully I had cleared the stove top off and have not used it. It could have burned my house down while I was at work. Has anyone else had this happen?

Ive had LG phones with good luck, and I the look of this oven, but my previous two Whirlpool ovens performed better and were easier to clean up. The surface of this oven is for some reason hard to clean. Also, with hand washing using mild dish detergent, the print on the knobs is wearing off, and the stove is only a year and a half old. Because its considered cosmetic, and over one year old, LG will not replace the knobs. Ive never seen this happen, and at $45.00 per knob, am not pleased about having to replace them at 1 and 1/2 years. I wont be buying LG again and I wont be recommending.

We purchased our refrigerator on July 8, 2018. We were remodeling our home and did not actually plug it in until Dec. 2018. Mid May, 2019 *or there about* we experienced warm food and thawing frozen foods. We called the service center (1-800-905-9505) and told them of the problem - and technician took 2 weeks to come diagnose & repair --- replacing the compressor (Work was done on June 1, 2019). July 11th the refrigerator stopped cooling once again. Food lost and frozen food lost. Technician came the next day (12th) repaired.... and following morning (13th) the refrigerator STOPPED COOLING! Called service center on Saturday the 13th - and am still waiting for a call back from LG to set up service call ASAP. We are thoroughly disappointed with the LG refrigerator we purchased for full price - and will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Once we get this refrigerator running again we will donate it and have to spend money again on a new refrigerator. Customer service at LG consists of ALL foreigners - barely speaking English and expressing zero ability to satisfy customers. Sincerely,Steffany

I bought this refrigerator 7/21/2014. One year later, approximately 3 days outside the warranty, we had the circuit board and fan system replaced under LG warranty, in 8/2015. Now again, 1 year later 8/2016, we have the same problem with the refrigerator. I called LG and they basically said its not their problem. This company does not stand behind their product. I could understand if it was a different problem but it is the same problem diagnosed by the same repairman who repaired the refrigerator in 2015, one year ago. This refrigerator is just 2 years old and cost 2300+ dollars. I will junk this piece of crap and buy another reliable brand. I will never buy LG again on any of my appliances. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS; CONSUMER BEWARE!!!

I bought an LG refrigerator (LMCX23746) from Costco in August, 2016. The ice maker stopped working in March, 2020. I paid LG $125 for a diagnosis by an LG technician who told me that a wire in the door is broken. It happened because we opened and closed the French door too many times (2000+). To repair, a new door and control board plus labor will cost me another $625-$875. I called LG and they refused to cover the parts because it is not part of the closed system. The customer service even suggested I slammed the door. I am following up with Costco on this. Even though I wont have an working ice maker in the end, I am not going to send one more penny to LG. Another customer has the same issue with the same LG fridge: **. So if you have an LG French Door unit, try to open the other door more. Or turn the French Door into a Single Door unit because the door with dispensers is dedicated to the ice maker.

Buyer beware before you consider purchasing an LG washer and dryer. I have owned mine for 2 and 1/2 years. Thank goodness I got an extended warranty on the washer, after 13 months I noticed that my clothes were not getting cleaned and most of the time there were dry spots where no water even got on the clothes. Could not count the times I have washed the load twice. The repair man is here again (on my $) and it does not look good. The dryer has never dried well, always have to dry each load several times. FYI, there are only 2 people in the family and most of my wash loads are very small.

I am quite disappointed that my french door fridge stopped working with having it less than 4 years. The repairman knew exactly what the problem was when he saw the make/model. He said he has repaired oodles of them. Even though the parts are covered for 10 years the cost for labor is $550. I read online that there was a class action suit but the one I was looking at was dropped. If anyone else knows of a current one I could join please let me know. I dont know that I would feel comfortable every purchasing another LG product.

I have been looking for a new refrigerator/freezer unit for some time in anticipation in placing it in our new house. This unit fulfills all of our needs, it allows my wife to look in the freezer and look at everything at a glance instead of searching like she had to in our old one. The refrigerator portion is much more spacious and we have yet to fill it up yet. What I like is the ice and water dispenser on the outside of the unit, it is able to take my water bottles with room to spare instead of angling them in and getting ice and water all over the place.

We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

We live in Florida - it’s always hot. Have contacted LG again. They dont have a clue what theyre talking about. Will contact local service repair person and hope for the best, but after reading all the complaints against LG products, I fear I will end up buying a new frig, but not LG. Update 08/21/2019:After posting this review LG was quick to respond with to a private exchange to stand behind their product. We had several exchanges concluding with me sending them the details and invoice from the LG certified repair company we had used to assess the unit. Unfortunately after this exchange we have received no further communication from LG. They had stated they would stand behind the quality of their product however after more than 2 weeks of silence and a not functioning refrigerator I am losing confidence. I am disappointed that they set the expectation that they would help and then have failed to respond. Not only because I would like their help but I need to decide if I need to buy a new refrigerator. Ironically the short term solve has been to use a 20 year old Amana unit in the garage which has never needed any repairs. Maybe we should go back to a more reliable brand. Original review:We bought an LG refrigerator when we purchased a new home. 5 year and 2 months later the board has gone out, the fan motor isnt working, and our repair man says the defrost is also not working. To fix it will cost more than $1000 with parts and labor. Very disappointed to be needing a new unit after just 5 years.

We recently purchased a new LG refrigerator. Within less than 5 months, it stopped working and did not cool. Since it was still under warranty, we were directed to LG Support. Not only did the people on support line not speak English, we were told there were no LG techs in our area, and it would be 4 weeks before one could come out. Having no other options, we made the appointment. When our appointment date came, the tech was a no-show, and called an hour after the 6hour window to tell us he would not be coming, and the next available appointment would be an additional 2 weeks away. Again, having no other option, we agreed to the appointment time. During this time period we received a strange box on our doorstep, which contained nothing but packing foam - we were not informed of any shipments coming to us. This apparently was from LG and was supposed to contain parts needed for repair (again, it was just foam). When the tech came (6 weeks after the initial call - meaning we had no fridge for over a month at this point) he arrived and said that because the parts were not there (because they SENT US PACKING FOAM), he would have to come back another time. Again, the next available appointment was 2 more weeks away. Throughout the entire experience LG support was absolutely no help, did not try to help troubleshoot, find alternatives, and was completely incompetent (again, I refer you to the shipment of packing foam, and a 2 month timeline to repair a BRAND NEW refrigerator). I will never purchase another LG appliance after this experience, and have cautioned others not to as well.

Im not too happy with my LG refrigerator after looking into a lot of information and a lot of reviews. Apparently, theres been a lot of problems with their compressors. And it doesnt seem like LG is proactive about going and fixing them because I finally had a problem with my compressor this year. The unit wasnt getting cold at all and we had noticed periodically where it felt like it wasnt cooling enough. We just chalked it up in the air whether it was too hot of a day or too cold of a day, and maybe we didnt have that, we had the house too hot and left it at that. And then, all of a sudden, within three days, it just stopped working.Trying to get LG to come out and fix the issue was like pulling teeth. Apparently though, LG was aware of what the issue was. They didnt give me any problems as far as getting it fixed. But there was a lot of miscommunication internally at LG because they gave me one company that they were gonna have fix the situation, and when I finally contacted them because I hadnt heard from them, they said, We dont work with LG anymore, and I had to call LG and tell them what the company said. So, we were gonna use this other company. It was the same thing. LG gave me the information for that company and I called them immediately. They said some of the same thing. Then finally, the third company was the one that still worked with LG. And then, that had taken almost two weeks to get my refrigerator fixed. At this point, it seems to be running properly. It seems to be making a little bit of noise. So, Im gonna contact the repair people and ask them to come check it out because it makes humming noise that it didnt make before.I have mentioned it to other people and as good friends of mine, they just bought the same refrigerator, and they experienced a similar problem to what we had. And we were told initially, Oh, its probably its seal, it didnt close right. But that was the way our problem started. And six months later, all of a sudden, the refrigerator went bad. But its a known problem with LG. My friends now are keeping a close eye on it.

So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. High efficiency my rear end. I was in contact with LG and they said its normal. Normal to have a high efficiency washer raise my water bill by 300%? NO thanks. NEVER buying an LG Washer ever again. Can I please have an old-fashioned, non-energy star washer that just works and cleans and has no computer parts in it?

The one we bought does not have that function. We are afraid to use aftermarket oven cleaners because we were told it would damage the blue enamel. Would not suggest this model to anyone. The model number is LRE 3061.

LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine
LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine in April 2012 and loved this machine. Then, I receive this “must do recall” on the washing machine, and I took care of this service on February 28th. Well, that was the biggest mistake of my life. I hate this washing machine. It takes hours to wash a load of wash. It continually gets unbalanced while trying to spin and then starts to add water and try again. This becomes continual and you never know when your wash is going to be done. The express wash of 35 minutes ended up to be 75 minutes yesterday. Tomorrow it could be another time, and the day after that, another time. If you are not having issues with your machine, skip the recall service. I am wasting my time, my clothes are getting worn out from continual washes at one time, and my electricity bill is going up. Plus, I have an expensive washing machine that is probably soon going to the dump because I know they are not going to give me my money back.

Further they have told me there is nothing they will do to fix this problem, in fact his words to me is This shouldnt be a problem mamma. So this is the worst washer I have ever purchased and would never recommend it.

Who is at blame, in customers being led to believe that LG makes wonderful washing machines? I agree that we all need to bring about a class action lawsuit against them. I purchased my set of washer and dryer model WM2501H on black Friday of 2010. One month later, the repair man came out and replaced the main board. Everything is fine, until the load tries to balance. This can take 45 minutes and maybe more. You are supposed to be able to do large loads. I try 2 blankets, 1 pair of pants, 2 towels and a pair of underwear. The repair people said you should mix loads, so I did. This is not always possible for the two of us. After waiting 45 minutes, my husband stopped the machine and took out one blanket and it still took 10 minutes to balance. The repair people dont tell you how your machine will age much faster by wasting all this energy and wear and tear on the machine. So much for a lower electric bill. I will never buy anything made by LG again.

Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

I purchased LG front load machine in June 2012, since then I am very unhappy and not at all satisfied with the cleaning of the machine. I have many LG products at my home and had no bad experience with any of them but since the day I purchased the front load LG machine, I regret the decision of buying LG product. In the span of 2 years of purchase of machine, I have called customer services on several occasions for help and few of your technician have visited my place as well. I did whatever was advised to me by your technicians, I am still not satisfied with the cleaning and the machine functioning. My sister and mother are using the same model of machine and they are highly satisfied but when they came to my place and washed clothes in my machine, even they found a problem in my machine cleaning which your technicians are unable to find. I feel as if I have been sold a LG product with false promises which is classified as mis-selling. I think customer satisfaction should be the priority of every brand rather than selling products. I, as a customer, feel as if I have been cheated. I need my machine to be replaced or else I will make sure to take this matter further. Thanks.

This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer.
This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer. I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I was looking for the largest capacity that I could reasonably afford. I also wanted to save water. I was replacing an old agitator-type GE model that was still going strong after 17 years. Ever since I purchased this machine I have had problems with it giving the UE message (uneven load). Dont even think of using the capacity of this machine to the fullest. Anything above half-full will automatically cause UE messages. Anything bulky like towels or bedding will cause the UE message. Sometimes it gives the UE message for what seems like no reason at all. Basically Ive had to wait downstairs and babysit this machine to get it to finish about half of its loads. As for water savings, whenever the machine gets a UE message, it adds water to try to fix the problem, so any water savings are lost. I am amazed at the amount of water this machine uses. Here is the worst part. Recently while doing a load of laundry, the machine malfunctioned and would not stop filling itself with water. Thankfully I was down there cleaning otherwise I wouldnt have known and my basement would have been flooded. Something has gone haywire and the machine will not stop filling itself with water now every time I try to use it.I purchased the service warranty (something I normally never do) and called the service center and they cannot find a certified repair center anywhere near me (we live near Minneapolis/St. Paul). This afternoon I spent at the laundromat, and my $1,000 paperweight sits downstairs looking pretty. And, theres no one in the Twin Cities area who wants to work on these things apparently. Save yourself the money, time, headaches and stay away from this product!

Call LG and with smart diagnostic feature are told it is not cooling properly (Figured that out with spoiled food). Told need to be serviced by LG authorized service and was given a number to call. 155 for 5 minutes to diagnose bad compressor. LG is aware and has several class action lawsuits against them. Guy need to order part. LG warranty does not cover very expensive labor - 320+ to install. From all the reviews online - They install the same defective part and failure rate of the new one is very high- most fail within the next 12 months.

Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

Meanwhile my 8 months LG dryer broke. I couldnt go with the same experience. I decided to pay out of pocket, 300$ later. The dryer broke 1 week later. I just spoke to an LG supervisor who said that she didnt get any parts order. I am literally crying... Worst customer service. Terrible appliance!

Bought new LG dishwasher at Sears, not knowing there was a service bulletin on this particular machine concerning a door design flaw that caused a leak. When ours started leaking shortly after the warranty expired, LG wouldnt do anything. Customer service was rude, confrontational, and borderline belligerent. We were unable to get the dishwasher to quit leaking without spending more on it than it was worth, so we yanked it and replaced it with a Whirlpool. It works great. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

Updated on 07/02/2019: This is a follow up to my last review. Yet again, my appointment was rescheduled from July 2 to July 8!! I was sent an email twice over the weekend asking me to call to reschedule my appointment that was supposed to be on 7/2. When I called on Monday morning (7/1), I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled AGAIN! They rescheduled my appointment for 7/8 - a week from now! How do you sleep at night, LG and A & E Solutions, knowing that you are robbing your customers and have no intentions of honoring the warranty on your products? I will never buy another LG appliance. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. If someone is serious about making this right, you can send me a private message asking for my phone number. Otherwise, keep pointing the finger at everyone else.Updated on 06/25/2019: This is an update to my review on 6/19/19. The response that I got from LG to my review was: We understand that you are frustrated with the refrigerator and we do care about our customers. Because without you there is no us. So we would love to assist you at the moment. We do see that service has been set for June 24. Please keep us informed on the status and let us know how the repair went. LG DID NOT SHOW UP ON JUNE 24TH!! AM I SURPRISED??? NO.LGs customer service department might as well be non-existent. Dont spend your money on an LG appliance unless you are confident that you will never have a maintenance issue. For me, the maintenance issue came after 3 years of owning my $1500 refrigerator!! Because the warranty is under LG, no private repair company will come out to fix it because they have told me that they will never be paid by LG. Furthermore, I have found that very few private repair companies will service LG appliances because of their reputation.Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator approximately 3.5 years ago and it already died - both the refrigerator and the freezer!! I was told that it would take 9 DAYS to have a service repair company come out. I have tried being in touch with customer service twice and have been placed on hold for at least 45 minutes before I finally hung up each time. The worst customer service. Based on the reviews here, I am not confident that the issue will even be resolved once the repair company comes if I still have to wait for replacement parts. Meanwhile, I am trying to live out of coolers; not to mention the amount of money I lost on food that went bad.LG, please do me a favor and resist sending me the same response that you have sent to everyone who has written a review. LG Refrigerators response: Thank you for notifying LG of the experience you have encountered thus far. This is not indicative of how we want our valued customers to feel. We’ll be happy to look into this and answer any questions that you have. Please send a private message so that we can assist you. Send a private message where??? How about a sincere response rather than one that is copied and pasted. And please dont act like you care about your customers. Your lack of customer service tells the story for itself.

My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. They must have found a company to re-market and re-brand them, with great looking outside features, but the same crappy inside components.

This washer is only 5 years old. There is no reason it should be failing already. Even with small loads, it continues to go into the UE mode, and repeats cycles constantly. In Jan. 2011 we purchased a very large LG refrigerator and on Sept. 5, 2017 it died. I called several repairmen, from where we live in Ohio to the lakes to West Virginia to Pennsylvania same answer, no one works on LG refrigerator. They are throw away refrigerators. All of them said it sounded like the compressor went, which is still under guarantee from LG. I called LG and they gave me a phone number to call for repairs, which they did not know the location. It was in upstate New York, and they stated they dont work on LG s any longer. So off to Home Depot I went, where I purchased the refrigerator for $2300. They said they dont do anything with repairs. I would have to call LG. I explained I did but no one within a three state area works on LGs. Then while there I noticed a salesperson was selling an LG refrigerator with extended warranty to a customer. I said to the manager, I was talking with, Why are you still selling LG refrigerators and the extended warranty when you know there is no one to work on them? I stated. I felt this was consumer fraud and then they agree to give me a discount on a new refrigerator of my choice. I have been telling everyone I know not to purchase an LG refrigerator. All the repair people I spoke with also said even if I found someone to repair it you probably could not get a new compressor, as the parts come from Korea and it is very difficult to them.

About 2 years after our LG gas dryer purchase we began hearing that thumping sound which we now know to be a cracked weld on the dryer drum. It was frustrating to have to replace such a major component, but we reasoned that sometimes parts fail. Our bigger problem however was that during the period that the drum operated with the crack, it was rubbing metal on metal in one little spot (according to our service technician) and created a super fine black metallic power that continued contaminate anything we tried to dry that was white, long after the replacement drum was installed. The replacement drum has since gone out of round. We do not abuse this dryer in any way. It runs about 6 medium loads of wash per week. We wrote a letter to LG requesting some sort of assistance to remedy our problems and received the usual form letter rejection. The worst part is that even though the dryer stills runs, it continues to thump because of the out of round drum and we basically have to dry any whites that we want to preserve at the local laundry mat. What a spectacular mistake this is for LG. They have made us disciples preaching Never an LG product again to everyone we know.

My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. The reefer we bought is a clone of the French door bottom freezer machine that we have had at another house for several years. We especially like the ice maker built into the door and not using volume in the reefer box. We purchased the floor model from the Kona Lowes. The day after our kids left Kona, I noticed that my Cheerios milk was not quite as cold as it should be. There was a heavy frost build up in the refrigerated section and that section would only get to about 42F. The freezer and ice maker were working just fine. The folks at the warranty call center are polite and on the surface appear to be helpful, but after we hung up I feel like my issue dropped into a Black Hole. It sounds like that they could be located on the sub continent. At first they told me the machine was not in warranty because it was manufactured several years earlier. A copy of my receipt cleared that up.It seems that LG only has 1 authorized repair dude on The Big Island and when I called in the first week of August he was in AL for reefer school. Upon his return, I tried to contact him by phone and text to set up an appointment to have hands laid on our machine. With daily attempts on my part, sometimes several times a day, he only responded twice. I went back to LG customer service with my tales of woe and they located a repair dude in Kona and I contacted him. Several days later, he laid hands and then he contacted LG for the warranty parts. However, when LG put him on my job, they did not provide him with a Repair Authorization number. Without a RA#, he could not order the warranty parts. Since he is a one man shop and had other business to handle, I took up the battle to get the RA# to him. It appears that the Customer and Warranty service desks at LG are not connected electronically to the folks that issue RA#s. When I started my quest for the RA#, I was told that one would be issued in 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours and no RA#, I called again and was told that they would have to walk to the back room to check on the progress. After their trip to the back room, I was told that another 24 to 48 hours would be needed. I then asked for the supervisor, and was connected to a lady that sounded like she could be in AL, where LG America is located. A RA# was sent to my Kona dude and he immediately ordered up the part, but he informed me that LG was notoriously slow in shipping parts. He was correct. I think that they walked the part to Kona rather than using a USPS flat rate box that gets things from MD to HI in 4 days or less. The part arrived, an appointment was set and the part was installed in less than 20 minutes. This was 2 months and 2 days after my first contact with LG. During this time, we could keep some stuff in the reefer, but not milk. Me not having Cheerios 5 days a week did not make me a cheery person... About mid way through my phone marathon with LG, I went to their Contact Us link on their web page and sent them a message listing my woes and displeasure with their Customer Service. They replied and asked if I would like to participate in a forum. I said, Sure, and was immediately informed that the forum was not longer available. There has yet to be a follow up to the Contact Us issue. I was expecting a post repair message asking to rate their service. It has now been almost 2 months since the service and the only thing in my Inbox for LG are notes telling me that they want to sell me an extended warranty... As nice as their machinery features and pricing are, their Customer Service has turned us off to looking towards LG for future appliances. I hope that you never have to call that 800 number that ends in 0000.

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great thin
So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

LFX31958ST - Purchased our first LG refrigerator in 2010. It lasted approx. 9 mos before the bottom freezer stop freezing and the top fridge stop getting cold, the ice maker stopped making ice. The purchase company HHGregg replaced the refrigerator with a new one in Oct 2011. In Oct 2012 a repair call was made on the 2nd refrigerator and now in 2015 (thank God for warranties) the refrigerator is out again same problems. This refrigerator cost too much money to last less than 5 years. Never will we buy LG again and we will be sharing our experience on social media with all our family and friends. Warning!!!

I have a lovely 3 door refrigerator that was purchased in 2007. At the 13 month mark, I started having trouble with an irritating beeping sound that let me know the door was not closed completely. After checking to make certain the doors were not blocked and completely closed, I continued to hear the alarm. Service engineer called, replaced the sensor. Sound gone. This has repeatedly occurred time and time again over the past 7 years. Its actually beeping right now. I have even purchased a home warranty primarily for this issue. 2 different service engineers complained about the LG refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG refrigerator.

After reading review after review on this site detailing the same issues I have had with my $3000 LG French door refrigerator, I will not waste time with detailing the issues I have had with this trash LG product. Same no-customer-service response from LG; the service company they gave us hasn’t worked for them for 2 years! We finally had to go directly to Home Depot to get a service repair person to come and look at our refrigerator. It has been two weeks without my refrigerator and hopefully it will get fixed today. But according to the other reviews that I read that may not be the last of my problems with this refrigerator. I am not hopeful. This is the second LG refrigerator that has had this problem; Home Depot, who has pretty decent Customer Service, replaced this same exact refrigerator one year ago. That refrigerator was only a year old when this exact same problems of the compressor going out occurred. The repairmen who are here today said they have been extremely busy lately repairing LG refrigerators with this problem! I am SO frustrated! I feel like someone has stolen thousands of dollars from me! DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!!

We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all
We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all washer, dryer fridge and dishwasher. We have had problems with several them for which we have received no appropriate support. First it was the washer or all the writing came off the front within 3 months. I was told there was nothing they could do. They couldnt send me new letters to reapply. Oh well too bad. We moved on. Then there was a dishwasher conveniently right after the one-year warranty we had a problem and had to pay $250 for service call for which the gentleman was here for a mere few minutes to fix the problem that most likely could have been fixed over the phone with direction, not costing us $250.Then just 14 months after this we end up getting a pinhole in the drain hose of our dishwasher which floods our sons basement bedroom. Causing numerous panels of our ceiling to be damaged and need replacement not to mention the wood floor below it that is lifting. All these are problems associated with a faulty dishwasher. When we call to report this problem we were told we had to buy a new hose mechanism and that would solve all of our problems. So sorry about the other damage to your home, not our responsibility. So we paid the almost $100 for a new hose, waited a week for it to be sent to us and we had it replaced. Then we come to find out; Oh so sorry your dishwasher must be reset by a specialist. Yep you got it. Another $250 will be necessary to get your dishwasher Ive only a few years back up and running. If the first rep had told us that then the hose would have been covered in the service call.So we are expected to spend $600 on a dishwasher that cost us 800 within a few years. Not acceptable. We ask to speak to a manager. After holding for almost a half an hour we get told a manager will call us back. We are third in line. That was last week. It is now Tuesday and we are still waiting for a return call. I will never again never purchased any LG products whatsoever. I will also share my opinion for these products openly and freely as I am doing with you. I have worked in a manufacturing environment for many decades. What I can tell you is no manufacturer is 100% perfect. But, what shows a great manufacturer is what they do after a problem is brought to their attention. It is apparent LG doesnt care after you spend your hard-earned money on a product of theirs. They will ignore you, push you away and not care whether you buy another Appliance or not because they are of the false impression that we will forget about this and spend our hard-earned money on another one of their faulty products. That will not be the case at least with us. So I warned you check in to the manufacturer and how they deal with customer service complaints before you spend your hard-earned money on anything of any manufacturer but especially LG.

Do NOT buy a LG fridge nor use Southland Technical for after service. LG has their own service techs but they are not qualified to do compressor work. So they contract out. Last hot summer, I was given the run around by LG for over 2 weeks to get someone to come see my broken down $3,000 fridge. They keep telling me how busy they are and finally they gave me Southland’s phone number to call. Southland came out, and $1,000+ later, I get my new compressor. Almost exactly 105 days later, the compressor broke down again!!! The service guy who came out in January told me this is the SECOND incident in last 2 days he has seen!!! It took almost 2 months for Southland to get back to me to confirm indeed the compressor had broken down again and due to some BS story, the fridge can no longer be fixed and they will have LG call me. 2 weeks on, LG called to tell me I am SOL because LG did not initiate the call to Southland and therefore LG is not responsible. LG offered me a $100 credit for my next LG fridge, REALLY!! I am suspicious it was a collision between Southland and LG to get me to buy a new fridge. Really Southland, you took $1,000 of my money, replaced the compressor. (Assume they did or perhaps an after-market no name???) And to tell me 105 days is outside the 90 day warranty period. Hands up out there if anyone knows a compressor to last only 105 days. (Yes, days, not months!!) Needless to say, never use Southland and never buy any LG products... Look around, less and less dealers are selling LG, only Costco because they do not have a service department so LG is a convenient partner for a lousy brand!!

LG Oven Model LRE 30755ST - Tried to bake some brownies at 350 and the oven overheated out of control to the point that the brownies burned, the pan was ruined and smoke detectors went off. Must have been several hundred degrees above 350. Technician felt that the heating elements got stuck on, vs. cycling on and off. I felt that an oven heating up out of control should have been considered a safety issue vs. just another repair out of warranty.

My husband and I purchased a new LG refrigerator just 2 years ago. TWO weeks ago right before July 4th everything defrosted and melted in the freezer and the refrigerator went warm. I called LG warranty service and purchased a service plan. They scheduled to come July 6th. They cancelled that appointment because they overbooked pushed me back to July 11th. Five days later. This brings us to July 10th by 4 o clock I havent heard from them with the scheduled time so I called them. I found out they cancelled again! They didnt even have the decency to call. They would not give us a date when someone could get here. We were told we would receive a callback in 1 to 2 business days with a date. We refused to accept this or hang up because they can not be trusted. Over a long time probably a hour later we finally got a date. Saturday. Another 5 days.So we have been out a ref for 2 weeks. Tried to call someone ourselves to get this fixed. They came said it might be the fan but they are unable to get the part because LG wont give them the look up a number so we have 2 options wait another 5 days and hope they actually come or buy a new refrigerator. 2000 dollars down the drain for a new refrigerator. So beware when buying LG appliances. Its safe to say I will never ever buy an LG product again. LG corporation also did nothing. All they wanted to do is confirm our appointment. I can do that dont need them to do that for us. So stand clear of LG got sold a lemon and cant even get it fixed. Updates repair man came 2 weeks later got the new compressor and guess what still doesnt work. I am a month without a refrigerator with 2 kids in the summer. Never again will I go with LG for anything.

I bought an LG top loading washer about two months ago, which worked fine for about a month. Now, more often than not, it goes out of balance with a UE code and, occasionally, the power button will not work. I contacted customer service and was informed that I am out of area for factory service but that they would schedule a local repair service and get back to me. Instead, I got an email telling me how to load a washing machine (Ive only been doing that for about 50 years) and ignoring the power button problem. And the email stated on the bottom that it is not possible to answer one of their emails. Right now, I am thinking about small claims court.

Im very disappointed with the LG dishwasher I purchased a little over two years ago. I cannot believe after two years of maybe 100 uses (generous estimate) it already is useless. It will sometimes work and most of the time automatically shuts off. I did not purchase an extra warranty since I had a Whirlpool at my rental unit (over 7 years old, maybe more!) and did not have any trouble with it. When I called the service center they basically said I would have to pay for the service call, labor AND parts! I will NEVER buy an LG product again!

So this is a company that should not be able to conduct business in the United States due to its practices.

I purchased my LG French door refrigerator in 2015 and it stopped cooling in July of 2019. After speaking with LG customer service and executive services department, they verified the refrigerator was still under warranty and will send a repair tech to take a look. We are now in late May 2020, over 15 tech visits, 7 repairs and many hours speaking with LG, still not working. I have submitted all necessary documentation for either reimbursement of some kind or a replacement and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. And guess what, its only a year and a half old. Last failure date - 6/29/17 just before the fourth of July weekend. So now we have to scramble to get some refrigeration. We spend $500.00 on a basic GE to get us buy until I decide what to do with the piece of crap LG that looms in our computer room like some piece of artwork! We purchased LG appliances in October 2008 - a beautiful side-by-side fridge, a 5-burner gas range, microwave/hood, and dishwasher to the tune of almost $5,000. We have had nothing but problems with the dishwasher since day 1. LG replaced it once, then replaced the heating coils and then stopped responding to our requests for help. I loved my range. That is until the knobs started falling off and we would smell gas. The range was not even a year old. LG sent someone out to look at it, who told me the burners turned on okay and there was nothing they could do. I contacted LG, explained that the gas would turn on from just brushing by the range and we would not know it until we smelled gas. They agreed to send replacement knobs. I noted that, in the subsequent model, the stems and knobs had been redesigned. I assume because this was a universal problem.I continued to complain about the safety; however, once I explained that there was no safety issue if the knobs were replaced, LG agreed to continue to send me new knobs whenever needed. Since that time, I have called about once a year for a new set. I contacted them today and after over an hour of arguing, was disconnected after being told the stove is out of warranty and they will no longer replace the knobs. I explained that I paid $1,500 for this range and the complaint/concerns were raised during the warranty period. I actually had to take pictures of the online chat with my cell phone after I was disconnected. At this point, I am contemplating a class action suit primarily due to the safety concerns related to having the gas on without the burner. I refuse to pay $350 for a new set of knobs every year. As an aside, I have noted that LG has stopped making ranges.

200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

We purchased this LG French Door Refrigerator model LFXS29626 November 5,2015 from Home Depot, noticed the ice cream and pizzas were not staying frozen, later unit not making ice. Called LG customer support line, which is totally a waste of time, since the first call out of the three millions thereafter, I still have a non working refrigerator. No service center wants to work on LG products, the most recorded reason is LG never wants to sent the part and if by some miracle they do it had taken months to receive. I have never experienced this kind of customer service on anything I have ever purchased nor have I ever wrote a review. My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

I bought the washing machine because of the large tub. I assumed I would be able to do good size loads, very reasonable but large. Not the case. I also expected the machine to wash the cloths. My laundry is not unusually soiled in anyway just normal day to day of a retired couple. Even a white towel load with a cup of bleach and the towels were not clean. The machine has a glass top so I watched as I put the load through again. The towels on the top never even were cycled through the soapy water (what little water there was). Because of this they also did not get rinsed adequately. To see just how well they did get rinsed I again put the same towel load in not adding any soap to see if any was still in the towels. The wash looked as though I had put detergent in as usual. I had used the very small amount of the detergent as instructed. I wish I had researched this washer before buying as I NEVER would have bought it. I was blinded by the size of the tub and hope to warn anyone else considering this machine. I have had it 3 weeks and will try to return it to Home Depot where I bought it but I am doubtful I will get very far with that.

From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. I have the old KitchenAid refrigerator in the garage that works like a champ. 25 years old. So to add insult to injury the turntable motor on the microwave is going out. It is the same age. 14 months old. I wont even bother calling them - Ill just let everything fail. Do not buy LG - they suck. Their stuff does not last. Get KitchenAid.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2016. A piece of junk. It has been fixed a few times and currently been broken since Thanksgiving and cant be fixed. It quit cooling and freezing. The repairman has consulted LG to try to get answers but it still isnt working. The money you pay and it doesnt last 2 years. I will never buy LG products again.

I thought I had purchased a great 30 cubic French door refrigerator 5 years ago for $3k but I was wrong! I have been without a working refrigerator since Super Bowl Sunday 2017, it is now April 20th 2017 and still have no working refrigerator! LG had sent out their contractor a number of times and the back freezer fan and compressor has been changed twice and the gas valve changed and still it doesnt work! Customer service and executive team cant seem to help a mom with toddlers. I have been treated horribly, LG doesnt care! I recently went looking at new appliances at Home Depot and they recommend LG until I told them my story and that awesome salesman will no longer recommend LG! I will continue to tell my story until something is done to repair my fridge!

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator Model # LFX25971ST. The icemaker, front control panel and water dispenser stopped working. I contacted LG to set up a service appointment. The LG technician came out and diagnosed that it was one of three possible circuit boards. He had to order them which required a second visit. The boards didnt fix it. So, the technician did further diagnosis and thinks that a bad wire in the left door is bad which would require replacing the door. The door is sealed so he cannot get to the wire to fix it. What a stupid design. Anyway, he has to come back for a third visit. I contacted LG customer assistance or should I say crap assistance, and requested a goodwill adjustment since my fridge is out of warranty. I felt my request was reasonable because of the amount of time I lost from work, there was nothing I did to cause the failure, and because of a poor design the repair would be a lot more expensive. The LG agent asked me to scan and send in my sales receipt and he would follow up and get back with me with a decision. That was a week ago. I finally called again and as usual, with these customer service centers you get people that are clueless. She told me she would put my request in but it takes about three business days to get a decision. I told her that I did this a week ago. Then she started telling me my fridge was out of warranty. Duh! Really? You know, if its out of warranty and LG doesnt want to back their products, thats life, but they didnt even keep their promise and call me back with a decision. I remember when refrigerators lasted for 30 years. Now, I think LG puts in all this useless electronics which just causes more things that go wrong, forcing customers to have to pay to keep their refrigerators running. Anyway, LG is off my shopping list forever. A Fridge that breaks thats only four years old tells you what kind of quality they have but hey they back that up with lousy customer service. When it comes to LG products all I can say is, Buyer Beware!

Water dispenser for drinking water, ice cube dispenser and french door with temperature indicators with touch screen monitor to change settings depending on my need. I am very much satisfied with the refrigerator except that I need to change the filter every 6 months. Other than that it is very much fulfilling my needs. Price was reasonable when compared to others and availability when I needed and also in the physical store so that I could have a look before buying.

I bought a LG front loader set from Sears when I moved into my new home in 2010 and Ive had nothing but problems with the washer from the beginning. Im thankful that the salesman suggested the extended warranty on the washer as I couldnt afford both. Ive had 7 calls on cups not emptying a new main board a new drawer and clothes needing extra spins because they are still too wet for the dryer (the repair man said I needed to do full loads in order for the machine to spin out right? Yesterday it completely stopped during a wash so now I have to haul a load of wet towels to the laundromat. I now have to wait a week for a part to come in. I was so excited to get this set but I hate it and will never buy any more LG products and I make sure everyone I know that is in the market hears about these machines.

I bought the LG top loader 1 year ago. It hasnt washed my clothes properly since Ive had it. I always have dirt covered all over my clothes after, and have to wash them sometimes twice. Never can I wash blacks one time. I will never get another LG and when I called about it, I was told I needed to call some other number. When I went back to the store, I was told, Oh ,you probably arent putting enough clothes in it. Very disappointed and really would like my money back.

Where to start... Loading this is awkward. Nothing fits easily without having to adjust the racks. The silverware holder is flimsy and falls apart every time you pull it out. I had to zip ties ours together. It takes more than 2 hours to run a Normal wash. And unless you washed everything before loading, the chances of the load being 100 percent clean is slim to none. You have a better chance of George Clooney and Brad Pitt washing and drying your dishes by hand than you do of getting a clean load out of this machine! You have to use liquid soap. Pods wont dissolve in this machine. Theres a filter. A pain-in-the-butt filter, with a Rubber washer that is to be emptied and cleaned every few days. Plus the spray arms clog.Often... THIS MACHINE REQUIRES MORE MAINTENANCE THAN A BEVERLY HILLS HOUSEWIFE!!! And like a RHOBH, it does NOT work! This is a perfect machine for a Newlywed couple who is despised by a frenemy or scorned mother in law. This machine will drive a newlywed insane. Night after night of unclean dishes. This is the kind of machine that will give a new wife an eating disorder... If you buy this machine, your spouse will not only question your thought process about this purchase, but he will question you. And why he ever dumped Susan for you. He will question all of his life choices with you after a few weeks with this purchase. This machine is that bad. Im serious. I would not buy this machine for Eva Braun as a wedding present. I wouldnt wish it on her. Dont. Just dont.

I have exhausted every option to resolve this matter regarding our LG washer/dryer. Purchased at Home Depot (approx. 2010) with the additional warranty. Upon numerous issues with delivery, installation, drainage, mold, mildew, build up, seals, etc.. Home Depot hires an outside source/third party vendor for service. Just the phone calls alone feel like theyve taken years off my life! The call center that handles the calls is obviously outsourced and makes for major language barriers. We had numerous repairmen assist with the issues. Not one time was there any resolution. We have a family of five and Im blessed as the Laundry Goddess. I have a generic disease and have recently been diagnosed with lupus. My health is taking a toll on everyday chores. These less than desirable machines add unwanted frustrations. I look forward to a resolution!
