Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

Run away any LG products as your appliance. Horrible idea. Purchased this refrigerator (LG LSXS26326S) February 2016, not even two years old. The ice maker had gone out, no error code. THEN, the entire unit stopped being cold, again - no error code. Have lost everything in both compartments, and been advised from other techs, Good luck. Have called the wonderful customer service now 8 times, and keep getting bounced back and forth between Warranty and Customer Service.Ran the app for the LG fridge that does the sound to diagnose the issue, nothing is wrong with the fridge per the LG app. THEIR OWN PRODUCT IS BEING DIAGNOSED AS NO ISSUES BY THEM! (Yes, the door has to be open to use this app, but thats it). Was told that the unit is still under parts warranty... However by the time a service call will be had, someone out, we are fully expecting multiple calls and nothing to be resolved. Issue is the only LG authorized repair tech is 3-4 weeks out, for there are only TWO (2) in the entire state.Had another tech come out and was told the issue is the sealed system. Everything looks fine, no codes, just not working. This unit is garbage and was, still available with Lowes & Home Depot, for $1400. Dont waste your money on LG. Like every other consumer on this thread, avoid LG. Am now back on hold with customer service for was disconnected when they transferred me from Warranty to Customer Service. Never, ever again.

We bought this LG fridge in 2015. By 2019, the compressor had to be replaced as we got the “FF” error. Apparently this means “Freezer Fan” but LG never replaced the fan. Now in 2021, I fought in vain for LG to pay for the freezer fan failure which happened again. They should have changed the fan in 2019 itself when the unit was under warranty. Having paid for the freezer fan mused and losing all my food, now the compressor has failed again. The executive department of LG - no one is even answering the phone. Voice of the customer/ office of the President is a joke. They don’t care about customer sentiment and bulldoze you. I complained to Texas Attorney General earlier in 2021 During the freezer fan fiasco. Then LG offered to pay $275 which I denied as it didn’t cover the cost of repairing the fan. Now the compressor from 2019 is broke again. No one to talk to at LG! Pathetic.

I purchased an LG (Model: 1390179) Fridge with the double French doors or ice maker package. The French door on the right side has an extremely poor hinge. It was probably made from weak material because it easily breaks after a short time. Now, I dont have the ice maker feature or any other of the digital programs since my door does not shut properly. I have been waiting for the replacement part for the last four months. What is the matter with this picture? I paid over two thousand dollars for this piece of garbage.

I bought LG fridge, model LFX31925ST, $2900, two years ago. Slowly, the fridge and freezer got warmer. By the time I realized it, I lost $500 worth of good. I spent three hours tossing food into the trash. I called customer service who told me to lower the freezer temp to -4 and open and close the door freezer door three times. Then, he said I needed a technician. I asked him how much the service call would be, and he said he had no idea. After reading all these other complaints, I think we should start a class action law suit and dense our money back. What a piece of junk! I always bought Kenmore prior to this purchase. I will NEVER buy another LG product!

In Jan. 2011 we purchased a very large LG refrigerator and on Sept. 5, 2017 it died. I called several repairmen, from where we live in Ohio to the lakes to West Virginia to Pennsylvania same answer, no one works on LG refrigerator. They are throw away refrigerators. All of them said it sounded like the compressor went, which is still under guarantee from LG. I called LG and they gave me a phone number to call for repairs, which they did not know the location. It was in upstate New York, and they stated they dont work on LG s any longer. So off to Home Depot I went, where I purchased the refrigerator for $2300. They said they dont do anything with repairs. I would have to call LG. I explained I did but no one within a three state area works on LGs. Then while there I noticed a salesperson was selling an LG refrigerator with extended warranty to a customer. I said to the manager, I was talking with, Why are you still selling LG refrigerators and the extended warranty when you know there is no one to work on them? I stated. I felt this was consumer fraud and then they agree to give me a discount on a new refrigerator of my choice. I have been telling everyone I know not to purchase an LG refrigerator. All the repair people I spoke with also said even if I found someone to repair it you probably could not get a new compressor, as the parts come from Korea and it is very difficult to them.

The LG microwave we purchased went out on us after we cooked the first potato. We had the LG microwave no longer than 2 weeks and had troubles. After working with LG for almost a month to have them fix the microwave LG blames A&E and A&E says there is nothing they can do without LGs approval. This went on numerous times and 3 appointments with the tech. so no microwave for Thanksgiving. Now No microwave for Christmas. Warning for whom is interested in this product that buyer beware! Our Sears Technician said that this microwave seems to go out quickly. I am a General contractor and have been building homes for over 19 years. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I purchased an LG French door refrigerator/freezer a year and a half ago and the compressor already went. I have a warranty and it took 3 days for a repair service to come out and tell me he doesnt know how long it will take to order the part and be back to repair it. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator and all my food spoiled. LG service reps have NO CLUE what they are talking you through on the phone and no help in regards to being reimbursed for loss of food! In OTHER WORDS DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS because their customer service and repair turn around time SUCKS!!!

I bought my refrigerator in November of 2012. It worked fine until it broke down a couple of weeks ago. I call LG the parts is under warranty and they referred me to one of their service tech. Long story short the tech wanted to charge 850.00 labor, LG had said 200 to 250 for labor on their website. I call back LG and told them about the misleading information on their website. 850.00 on a 4 years old refrigerator I can get a new and better brand for 1300.00. I hate LG.

I unfortunately purchased an LG brand front load washer and dryer from Home Depot. I wish I would have done some research first because it would have saved me a lot of problems. The washer is very high maintenance in which you have to drain it and clean out the trap. At least once a month, there are cleaning pouches that Tide makes that you have to use to clean out the washer. It seems no matter how often I use the pouches and drain it, my clothes have a musty smell. One of my biggest complaints is that I can not wash a lot of my blankets and comforters because they get too heavy and off balance the drum no matter if I try repositioning them.

We purchased a $3,000 LG refrigerator September 5, 2015. On February 17th it stopped working. Did not cool. We called our home warranty company, after two visits it was determined it had to be repaired by a certified LG technician. In speaking with LG to set that up, there is only one certified technician in the area. Called them twice to set up an appointment, they never returned the call. In addition, the compressor and all the moving parts are covered by a 7 or 10 year warranty depending on what it is. LG tried to sell me another one-year warranty for $475.00. Searched the reviews on the fridge we have, all of them stated problems with service (i.e., taking off of work to meet the repairman multiple times) only to have the fridge do the same thing within a six month period.Long story short - we went and bought a Whirlpool (made in the USA). BUYER BEWARE, stay away from LG. It does not stand for Life is Good - it stands for Lotsa Grief! I will never buy an LG product of any type - their customer service is beyond awful, their products are not top quality even though you pay a wheelbarrow full of money for them. Before we bought another fridge we called a repairman that we used before for another appliance and asked him what to stay away from - he said LG, Samsung and GE. I wish I had that information before we bought the nightmare that is sitting my kitchen which will be replaced on Saturday.

I purchased Stove LRG30357ST and called about a problem with what seems to be stainless steel knob controls that melted off. Turns out, the knobs are plastic with some type of foil around them. They want 70 dollars each to replace and there are five knobs. We will buy a new stove before we pay 350 to replace knobs with cheaper knobs.Second problem has happened three times in the past two years and 11 months. Somehow, the knob gets turned in the on position either by accidentally knocking it or maybe the knob fully turning the burner into a safe position. We were thinking maybe our body was hitting it when using the above microwave or simply not turning off all the way. Normally, they make a clicking sound when its calling for gas and not lighting. We shook it off as a freak accident the first time. The second time really got our attention and we gave the kids a lesson on what was going on. The third time, we both were working and the kids microwaved some popcorn and must have bumped one of the burners. We have no idea how they could not have smelt the gas odor but it was so scary that we made another call to LG. We hope to here back since we have no choice but to get a safer stove.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator for $1,500. Refrigerator suddenly stopped working last week, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food! Called a repairman who made an in-house visit and LG customer support, both confirmed that I need a new compressor. LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. I received several quotes for labor ranging from $650-$850! The refrigerator isn’t even worth that! LG has refused to do anything to fix or compensate for this!!! What a scam, I demand a full refund and will be joining a class action suit against LG for this fraud and encourage all to the same immediately! Since purchasing this refrigerator just a few years ago and thinking it would be great only a few months afterwards came the first compressor failure. Having to call customer service somewhere Across the Universe and get in touch with anyone who is willing to come out and fix it was a chore. Apparently most repair places do not want to work with LG because of these issues and their difficulty in compliance. And when they came out and checked it then the compressor took weeks to get there. Each time. This happened at least three more times and I think four because one time they claimed it was something else but three times it has been a compressor failure. So much so that the technician who came recently to the house actually had a compressor on his truck because he said nine times out of 10 the refrigerator has a compressor failure again and again so they are carrying them on their trucks. We have gone weeks and weeks without a refrigerator. I have never in my life had a refrigerator with such poor service. In fact never had to deal with anything with any of my refrigerators until this expensive supposedly excellent refrigerator. I promise I will never again purchase another one of these and I am insisting my husband get in touch with the manufacturers to replace this refrigerator as it has now failed on all counts and MEETS CRITERIA FOR THE LEMON LAW and it is a TOTAL LEMON.***It is impossible to deal with something that is going to ruin your food over and over again and leave you without any recourse until someone gets there again to fix it and you never know when its going to happen. BUT you do know its going to happen and it will happen and probably sooner than later. Debra Asheville NC

LG stainless steel fridge extremely discolored. Warranty representative said cosmetic issues are only covered for seven days. When I asked her to show me where this was in warranty she referred to a section regarding damage during delivery. I explained that it was fine when it was delivered and that the discoloration came over time. She kept referring to the same clause about delivery damage and then 30 minutes into the phone call said warranty doesn’t cover it because it must be a maintenance issue. She had not asked me one question regarding how I had cleaned or maintained the refrigerator. And refused to send a technician out to inspect it.

We purchased a high end ($2,249.99) LG side-by-side refrigerator last summer. Almost exactly 13 months after delivery (the warranty is 12 months), the ice maker ceased functioning. We called LG Customer Service and were told they would try to get warranty coverage and get back to us within 3 days. Four days later, no call, I called back and got the same runaround - they would call back in 3 days. Four days after that, I called again and they said they would call back when they decided what to do. Meantime we are still without an ice maker on an almost new refrigerator we paid dearly for and no one wants to fix it.

We bought a new front load LG washer from Home Depot in December 2015. It leaked from day 1 from the bottom of the door dripping down the washer to puddle on the floor. 5 months later we are still dealing with the issue. We have had 4 service calls with replacement of the seal, the door, and tightening the hinges. It still leaks and the foreign speaking folks in customer service just create another service ticket with a new company so they keep stringing us along inconveniencing the homeowner with an all day stay at home, wait for the repairman day so when they leave, I still have a washer that leaks. This is my first LG product and will be my last. I hope everyone starts to wake up and find another company to purchase from because LG by far is the most despicable company to have to deal with. If I could I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 star review. Very dissatisfied doesnt describe my experience. They truly dont give a darn about the customer!

I purchased this LG LSXS26386 refrigerator new from Home Depot in June 2016. Shortly after it was delivered, the refrigerator door had to be replaced because the door in door wouldnt stay closed. Now in October 2017, I am having another issue with this refrigerator. It has begun to make a buzzing sound each time the motor is running. After calling LG, they said, through smart technology of my refrigerator, that the error code SBS-ERDS (defrosting system) will require a repair. They offered me a charge of $425 (1 year) or $338 (1 time) repair. I cant believe this! After only 17 months of usage, this piece of garbage refrigerator is already costing me more money. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator or any other product LG is trying to sell!

On November of 2011 I bought a top load LG washer, model WT5001CW. It worked great until a few months ago when the bleach dispenser area has begun to rot. It is so bad that the entire area where the bleach goes has come off the hinges and is just dangling off the base. When I contacted LG, I was told that the warranty did not cover cosmetic issues. When I asked to speak with a manager and explain that this more than a cosmetic issue, this is a manufactured defect! I was told that my case would be reviewed and they would get back with as soon as they made a decision. Two months later, I am yet to hear from them. In March 2009 I purchased an LG TROMM washer model WM2487HWM. I loved the washer and dryer. Until October 2012, the washer suddenly without any prior dripping warnings, developed a gushing leak when filling. I had a waterfall in my finished basement, the ceiling destroyed and furnishings soaked. The first floor where the washer was the hardwood flooring buckled a couple days later. I took it with a grain of salt, just clean it up and fix it. The part cost less than $10.00. There are YouTube videos to show you how to replace it. The hardest part of changing it was getting the heavy washer moved out to access the back to remove the cover. Part replaced, washer working fine, I am happy. Now just clean up the damage it caused. December 13, 2015, the same thing happened again. I am not taking this mess very well a second time. I should have realized by all the videos this was not just a fluke, but a reoccurring problem. I would not recommend a LG washer to anyone unless you have a damage proof place to put it.

We recently purchased an LG Gas Range. It became apparent early on that there was a serious and significant manufacturing defect with the knobs which could pose a major safety threat to you and your family and home. Basically, if you even lightly brush up against the knobs, they may turn easily in the on position and either ignite a flame unexpectedly or emit gas also unexpectedly. We have had several near misses of people catching on fire and a few gas emissions which last over 30 minutes. I thought once I contacted LG they would immediately take action -- WRONG -- I am absolutely stunned at their response. They told me that they couldnt do anything about it and that I should buy child safety locks for the knobs. My previous gas stove was in the same location for 17 years and NEVER had this problem. We plan to take legal action since several other consumer have experienced the same problem. Shame on LG. They should be put out of business!

Purchased LGs gas oven, in part for its brilliant blue interior. Well within the first year of use, the interior base shelf had corroded, as if some solvent had been applied to remove the paint. Since I never bake citric foods (no lasagna, no fruit pies), I could not explain how this ugly disfiguring of the interior of the oven could have occurred. Running ones hands over the surface, it feels like sandpaper.Additionally, the internal temperature is approximately 25 degrees off, based on an oven temperature gauge purchased to check the ovens accuracy. Both of these problems bring into question the overall integrity of this LG gas oven. I would not recommend anyone purchase an LG appliance.

On the 27th of this month, I complained to the call center about the drainage problem with the machine and a man came within 48 hours as promised. He did some adjustment and the machine started working. I took AMC on his advice, and the next day I loaded the machine and the problem was there again after half the cycle. Again I had to call the call center on the 29th after 24 hours - the same man came, did the same adjustment and assured me this time he checked it and it wont happen again. But on the next load, the problem was there again. On May 1 I called them again, they gave me the number of the service center but I could not get through. Again, the call center registered my complaint the third time. This time it was an urgent call. They said within 24 hours, someone senior will come but now its more than 30 hours and nobody came. The call center people gave me the no of the area manager and he promised me it will be done today. I am still hopeful, still waiting.

We bought the latest LG washer (WT5070CW) and dryer (DLGX5171W) that have the glass doors. BIGGEST MISTAKE. I used to have the GE washer and dryer, basic machines and they did a far superior job. Unfortunately it broke down and hence I had to buy a new pair. GE/Maytag/Whirlpool are the only brands with good household appliances. If youve never used a good machine before youd never realize. My clothes arent clean enough. High Efficiency is crap. It uses very little water to evenly wash clothes. I got over that hump by trying different options. Yet its very rough on clothes. It also takes VERY long to wash. My old GE took only 45 mins to do an excellent wash. The same now takes 1 hr 47 mins! The dryer doesnt dry fully. Works ok only on small clothes like small towels etc., things like bed sheets dont dry evenly. Large loads irrespective of the size of the garment dont dry evenly. I gave 1 star because its required. Its not worth any.

Our 3 yo fridge has been a total nightmare. The compressor went, we lost all the food in the freezer. That was my first problem. Then I tried to contact LG for customer service. After trying to converse with an operator in the Philippines, I was able to get an authorized service tech to try and fix it. Tomorrow will be the second time I am calling him. He has replaced the main board twice. Still I have no ice and the bread in the freezer along with the veggies are all defrosted. I AM DONE. Tomorrow I am going to my friends Printing shop and having 500 bumper stickers that Read : DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS, Google LG Reviews to see for yourself. $1800 Fridge junk in 3 short yrs!!!

We purchased all new appliances including a stainless LG Refrigerator (LSC22991ST/001) from Home Depot. The first year of use had a problem with the inside of the full back panel of the refrigerator being packed with ice behind the panel even though there was no error message on the display, thus not allowing water to flow with the defrost problems. Repair service was performed. A year later, the same thing happened with ice packed and bulging inward behind the back panel of the refrigerator with an error message dh f. LG basically said too bad, no warranty, none of the problem was covered by them. The repairman was called locally, who had done the first repair; however, he was no longer on LGs service list for the area because he refused to work with them due to low pay, problems with getting parts, etc. On April 16, 2018 he ordered the parts for the error message from LG. Meanwhile, we were out-of-town and came back to a refrigerator of food that had thawed and needed to be thrown out -- hundreds of dollars. The parts that had been ordered on April 16, 2018 came in a full 7 weeks later (almost 8) and were replaced on June 5, 2018. LG refuses to take any responsibility for this problem. Their attitude is terrible when it comes to customer service. The refrigerator that cost more than $2400 on sale has only been used 2 years and has had the two same problems. It is terrible that LG knows these problems will come up due to poor manufacturing and if the consumer doesnt buy the extended warranty it is obvious that they know they will make their money by charging for parts. The repairman indicated that there are lots of other customers with the same problems -- he repairs them and knows! Sick! Very upset, and there doesnt appear to be any concern from LG.

Late at night, (after we all went to bed) we heard glass breaking. Upon investigation, we found that the glass in the front loader door has blown out, glass all over the floor AND inside the washer. Glass was very hot. Cleaned up the mess and called LG. My husband is disabled and we do his laundry every day. I spoke to customer service and they said it had to go to resolution team, even though I have had the machine for 5 years and it was no longer under warranty. After a week of waiting for their decision, now I have service scheduled for Monday (which I have to pay for since the washer is not under warranty....no kidding!!) They had better come with the parts because going to the Laundromat is no fun...especially after paying $700 for this machine.....

Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4270W) through The Home Depot. The washer was delivered and installed in our home on Feb 21st, 2015. The dryer arrived on March 2nd. Both machines operated beautifully for about 8 months. They are MUCH quieter than our previous 20+ year old machines, have a nice feature set, and save water. However, in early October, the washing machine developed a leak and dumped a LOT of water. Fortunately, we had taken the precaution of placing the washer in an overflow pan, so there was no apparent damage to our home. I initially contacted LG warranty support to have the washing machine fixed on October 6th, 2015. On the good side, I found their representatives to be quick to answer my phone calls and they were always courteous. On the bad side, they are completely ineffective and incompetent. Ultimately, I fixed it myself.6 October 2015, 9:45 AM EST, I called LG Warranty support to report the issue. I spoke with the representative and provided the washing machine serial number. The representative verified that the washer was under warranty and stated that I would receive a call in 2-3 days from the service scheduling team to schedule a service appointment. I requested and received an incident reference number. 8 October 2015, 11:10 AM EST, I contacted LG to check status on the service appointment. The representative indicated that scheduling team may take 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment.13 October 2015, 11:30 AM EST, I contacted LG to determine why I had not yet been contacted to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the Service Scheduling Team had started the search for a local service provider on the 8th and that the search should be resolved on the 15th. I was told that if they could not schedule an appointment, they would arrange to replace the machine. The representative stated that the time to resolve the service request was unknown. The representative also indicated that the request had been escalated to the top-tier scheduling department, but that it was not possible to check status or contact anyone in that department directly.15 October 2015, 5:55 PM EST, I received a phone call from an LG service representative. They had made arrangements to have the washer serviced and the service representative Jeff (last name & phone number omitted) would contact me shortly with appointment details. I called Jeff directly to confirm and received a message that his voicemail was full. I left a callback number. 16 October 2015, 8:10 AM EST Called Jeff again. The voicemail was still full. Left my callback number again. 1:40 PM EST Called Jeff again and left a voicemail. Jeff eventually returned the call and we scheduled a service call on 19 October.19 October 2015, Jeff arrived at the house and spent about an hour on the phone with LG. He did not disassemble the washing machine nor inspect it in any significant way. He did order a replacement pump. I was informed that the part should arrive later that week. 27 October 9:25 AM EST, I called and left a message for Jeff to find out status and set up a time for the repair. I requested that he call me back as soon as possible with this information. 2 November 2015, 8:00 AM EST, I called and left a message with Jeff to get status and schedule the repair. I requested a call back that day with status.6 November 2015, 7:20 PM EST, I called LG Customer Service to find out what was going on. The service representative was aware that a technician had been assigned and parts ordered. I explained that the technician had visited, ordered a part, and had been unresponsive for 3 weeks. She attempted to contact the technician while I was on hold and could not (no surprise, it was after business hours on a Friday). The service representative indicated she would contact the technician on Monday and call me with status. 7 November 2015, 1:00 PM EST - After a month with NO effective action and washing laundry at the neighbors house, I removed the top of the machine, ran a 15-minute cycle, and identified the source of the leak as a disconnected vent hose in the left rear corner of the washer. I Googled for service diagrams and found it was the hose at the top of part F430 in the diagram. 2:20 PM EST I called LG, explained the situation with the technician and my lack of satisfaction. I requested a service manual be sent immediately. The representative took my email address and claimed the service manual had been sent.3:00 PM EST I contacted LG via live chat and inquire whether the service manual had been sent. The representative on the chat stated he could not access the manual.3:25 PM EST, I called LG again. The representative read my email address back and it had been recorded incorrectly (though we had verified it on the phone the first time!). I verified the correct email address again and she resent the manual. 3:45 PM EST, I did a web search on LG drain vent hose routing and found a diagram showing the correct connection to a fitting on top of the washer drum. I reconnected the hose and since then the washer has been fine. The LG representative that I spoke with on 6 November did eventually call back and offered to start the scheduling process all over again with another service technician. I told her that their service was abominable and that I had repaired the issue myself. We were done. The service manual never arrived.I live in a major metropolitan area with over 1 million people within the county boundary. I am amazed that LG couldnt find a competent technician in the area that could provide prompt service. The inability to email a simple service manual after 3 attempts is equally ridiculous. I will say that most parts appear for the washer appear to be reasonably priced. In the course of my internet research, I found that most design flaws noted in earlier versions of the LG washer had been corrected in my washer. The fact that the hose popped off the fitting may have been a random occurrence. The machine has performed well since. Some closing thoughts: (1) Dont ever install ANY washing machine without an overflow pan that has been connected into your houses drain system, and (2) If you are considering the purchase of an LG appliance or other product, based on my experience, I wouldnt expect LG to honor their product warranties.

The LG front loader is a horrible machine. Even with leaving the door open it smells like a sewer. Most times clothes come out dirtier than when they went in... Greasy stains that wont come out. I never used LG products before and didnt know the pain of LG product. God was kind until I bought LG fridge. This fridge is making me cry within 3 years of my purchase though the warranty on its compressor is for 10 years. It has failed thrice in 3 months. Had the LG customer service been active to fix the problem properly, I would have thought of a mistake buying LG products. But LG service is worst than their products, they are there for namesake and to do nothing. It is almost a week time. Fridge compressor is down and I lodged complain, they are not bothered yet. I am calling LG customer services more than I call my relatives/friends and family (all put together). I know most of their employees by name. On top of that they refer me to their ASM, who has already resigned and moved :). I do not know whether it will be fixed or not and by when. I think only miracle can make it work or I will have to buy some other fridge.

I purchased a LG Refrigerator in April of 2013. In January of 2015 the unit stopped cooling. After having two technicians come out, one saying the circuit board needed replaced and the other saying there is a leak in the unit, both indicated parts and labor would be $800 per issue (not sure which to choose) and may not take care of the problem. After 11 calls to lg customer service and several online chats, they determined there is nothing they can do to help or compensate for my loss of a 2 year old $2,059 refrigerator. Lg has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I will never purchase another lg product!!

My french door refrigerator Model #LMXS30776S was purchased in May 2015 and in July it started to make a terrible noise and I called LG and they said most likely there was ice on the fan. A few weeks later it started turning off and I would have to restart it. I called LG and they said I needed to get a technician to look into it. I had someone come out who said I needed new sensors and a new evaporator cover and it would take 3 days to get the parts in. 4 days later I called and they told me the parts are not available and I had to call LG directly to get the parts.I called LG. They quickly set me up with a $300 extended warranty repair plan and set up a technician to come out. This guy also said I needed new sensors and fans. One week later, they could not get the parts and said they were not available. The warranty company refunded my money minus $100, saying that parts were not available. Based on CA Civil Code Section 1793.03, parts must be made available within 7 years of any major appliance. I just spoke to a supervisor in the corporate office who after 30 minutes on hold said that the parts are available and she is transferring me back to the warranty repair company to get set back up on the plan. LG has been incredibly awful with this entire situation and I have heard from their own technicians that they rarely honor a warranty even within the first year and said to never purchase an LG appliance. I agree.

In late June 2017 I purchased the fridge (LG 620L french door - GF-B620PL) from The Good Guys - Brighton and it was delivered late September 2017. First Service - the door of the fridge did not close well and when it did it did very loudly. The serviceman said it was a part was missing from the door. Did not hear for a while so got in touch and said it needed to be ordered. Second Service- (serviceman Steve) - initially said did not need part but then changed his mind and said it did. He sent a message saying part was not available and that fridge did not need part (even both said did). Door still banging closed. Third Service - Freezer section was icing. Man came out and said the drawer rollers needed replacing as door of freezer did not close well and that temperature was too high Put down to 13. Fourth Service - Came back and replaced rollers. Fifth Service - All food in the freezer section had melted (thrown out). Asked why did not alert as was told if door nearly closed there is no alert. He also said temperature was too low and put it up to 18 and that we should check fridge regularly. I am very disappointed with LG service as we get mixed messages and I only got this fridge because reviews were good. I understand that there could be a bad apple in the millions made and can accept and asked to get replacement but response has not great. I have been very patient, I did not ask or claim for damaged food and accept that bad apples exist but I am not happy with the service and response I have been getting. LG customer service did reply and were abrupt and said they were happy what they did and that was it. No apology or was I happy! (Must of missed customer service lesson 101!) NEVER LG AGAIN!

After I had taken everything apart I found that not only had a wire come loose but the left side of the washer was rusting. See pics. Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Customer service is rude and thoughtless when it comes to your problem. They have a serious problem with this product and are not willing to fix it.

I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load
I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load is a water saver. However, the ability to increase the water level manually if wanting a greater rinse still gives me control over my laundry. With its many available washing options, one doesn’t have to “think” each time a load Is added; if I’m washing towels, I just choose the “Towel” option and the machine does the rest. My spin cycle is extremely effective, making the drying time a minimal. Last, the size of the tub is large enough for a thin blanket. This is nice when needing to wash stored bed coverings prior to winter use. The only con I might have is getting the message “uneven load” and of acing to stop the machine and adjust the wet items. This usually happens if I have a mix load of unlike weights.

We bought model LFX31925SB/00 in 2012. Within a few weeks it started making loud sounds and by the second month, it died the first time. LG sent a repair guy and he reset it and it was fine. After about four week, it died again. This time he came back and had to replace the motherboard. I had made a couple weeks worth of meals, because I was having a baby. We came home from the hospital and the refrigerator was dead and the kitchen was FLOODED!! We lost all of our food AND had a damaged floor. I had to deal with the LG customer service, which was a waste of time. They did absolutely nothing. Then I had to call hhgregg and deal with their customer service. Im not sure which one is worse. We ended up getting a repair man ourselves, who had to replace the motherboard three times. What we thought was a good investment has ended up costing us probably five times more than what we spent buying it, counting what we lost when it died. We wouldve been better off buying the most expensive, top of the line refrigerators out there. At least then we would have something that would be worth the money we spent.

We purchased the refrigerator the first of the year, 2015. After four years it stopped working. We called the company for them to schedule a repairman to come out. When we didnt hear back within a couple of days we called back. They told us that the serviceman was too far out and wouldnt come. They had not told us nor scheduled for someone else to come out. So after speaking with him again he scheduled for another serviceman to come out. Over the next few weeks and numerous servicemen it went something like this: 1. Sorry, I dont have the expertise to work on these. 2. I dont work on any with the Freon problems. 3. I wont work on them because we have a dispute with LG.4. Too far for me to travel to your city from here.LGs reputation precedes them. One repairman asked me if I knew what LG stood for. He saw my puzzled look and replied Lost Groceries. After two or three weeks we finally get a repairman that can work on our refrigerator. But oops, the company sent the wrong compressor to our home for him. More wait to get another one and schedule another date. This was February of this year, 2019. We lost everything in the frig and they would not reimburse us because we didnt have the sales receipt. They knew by their records where we purchased it from, the date, the date of registration and we sent them the bill of lading from the store. It was not good enough. I tried to come to terms with all of it and just be happy it was working again.Forward a few months to July 3, 2019 and our refrigerator is once again not working. We will lose all the food that was just purchased. They scheduled for a serviceman to come out but we dont know if it is one they called before that cant/wont work on it or not until they come. I fear it is going to be another two to three week ordeal again. And I dont know how long the fix will last. I just want to unload this refrigerator and get something of quality that I know will work. I loved the look of the frig and thought it would be a dream to have but instead it is a nightmare. I would never again purchase an LG product. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing it. I hope this review will help someone considering this same purchase.

I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Thank God the parts were under warranty. 11 months later, freezer is not cooling again now. Call LG and they wanted $125 trip charge plus $250 for labor before they will come out to take a look at it. Give me a runaround. For a $3000 refrigerator I would of expect it to last more than 3 year. My old $700 whirlpool fridge lasted me 10+ year.

When we remodeled our house, we redid our kitchen, and my wife picked out the refrigerator. We also got everything matching. So, that was why we went with them. LG is a well-known brand, and the unit we got was on sale and it was about the size we needed. Also, it is quieter than what we had. We have had our refrigerator for two years now and it was good, but the compressor went out on it. So, we had to have warranty work done on it. It works good now. The serviceman who came was good, too.

I cannot believe I have been duped by LG - I have had one problem after another with this refrigerator (LFXS29766S) that cost $2884.00 and was purchased in April 2015. Worked fine for almost a year. I called Home Depot where it was purchased when the ice and water on the door failed. They said, too bad it was 13 months after purchase and they only cover up to 12 months. Water failed again and had to be fixed. Now, it stopped cooling and no fan. Every service repair company turned me down to work on this fridge because they are notorious for being as one said crappy - needless to say, I am a very unhappy person and will NEVER by an LG appliance again. (I have a LG TV and dishwasher so they have lost a loyal customer.)

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Just, buyer beware.

We moved into a new house 5/2015, and as a present to ourselves, bought a brand new stackable LG washer and dryer that had been highly recommended in Consumer Reports. We bought LG 4.3 CF WM3370HWA and LG 7.4 CF DLEX3370W from Lowes in Everett, WA. This is a front loader washer. From day ONE this washer would not get clothes clean. It does not matter if you use the recommended detergent (my previous ten-year-old Kenmore used whatever you wanted to put in it, and got things sparkling clean), doesnt matter if you add bleach. It wont do a small load, and we are a retired couple so we dont have huge loads! It also wont wash a load of sheets - it balls them into tiny balls. If you try to wash a mixed load with a couple towels, you repeatedly get the UE (uneven load error). I constantly am standing on my head rearranging a sopping wet heavy bunch of clothing. I NEVER had this before with my top loader Kenmore! It also does not add the detergent in the first part of the wash - it doesnt add it til like 35 minutes into the wash. God help you if you add bleach, everything comes out smelling like none of the bleach is washed out. It makes a very loud chunking noise while filling, also. When you wash socks (and mind you, we are clean people who do not have pets, so its not like our floors make filthy socks)...the socks come out looking like they have not been washed at all - the knit on the bottoms are still depressed from walking...and the socks are not fluffed up at all!We called Lowes, and they said you have to call LG. So we called LG and they sent out a repair person. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. First words out of the guys mouth when he got there - I have twelve visits today and I cant stay past 30 minutes... Then he went over to the washer, pushed buttons on it a couple times, pronounced it fine, and started to leave. When we stopped him to ask questions, he got very defensive. We told him Its NOT fine, it wont clean the clothes! He said Well, it cleans them, just obviously not good enough for YOU. I showed him the dirt on the socks and he said Well, add more water! So I said Can you please at least stay through a cycle so you can see that it is NOT doing what it is supposed to do? He refused. After he left, we tried pushing the add more water button (which means none of the preset wash choices work...you have to do manual wash selection every time) and it still did not get the clothes clean. Also, yes, there is tons of crap that accumulates in the virtually uncleanable rubber gasket, and yes, we leave the door open 24/7. So far no smell, but I think that is because I use bleach so much and leave the door totally open. Now for the dryer. IT WONT DRY CLOTHES unless you put it on timed dry and high heat! And still, it balls everything into a ball! Our previous Kenmore never did this! And it also has one of those rubber gaskets on the door that fills with lint and you cant clean it out! We paid $2,089 for this piece of crap set and that is a lot of money for a retired couple on social security and a small retirement. I think I hate the LG people for selling an inferior product and not blinking an eye about it. I only wish I had seen this page of complaints BEFORE we bought this. PLEASE DONT BUY ANYTHING THAT USES SENSOR! Sensor does not work. Please dont buy a front loader LG. THEY DONT WORK. And when we called back LG and asked for a different repair person, they told us there was no one else...it was him or no one. Have a nice day. Click.

LG refrigerator Mod.# LMXS30776S/01 - As many other buyers have pointed out, these refrigerators are garbage. Mine quit within 18 months of purchase, I had a local repairman who replaced compressor and still does not work. I can get no-one to help me at LG, and they have no service personnel within 100 miles of my area. Several people have suggested a class action lawsuit, and I would be a willing participant. Well our big LG made it past its 5th birthday without a single repair, but sadly the compressor died exactly 120 days after that milestone. We bought our LFX31925ST in July 2012 from Home Depot. Looks can be deceiving... the interior had very good fit and finish and oh the size. From the first week, we would hear a loud bang every few days. I figured it was some kind of expansion valve. Ice cubes would often clump together, so it became a routine to open the ice maker door and un-clump the ice with a spoon. But for 5 years it was pretty much trouble-free. I had a commercial-grade surge protector on it from day 1. Both the freezer and refrigerator compartment stopped cooling right after Thanksgiving this year (thank God it was AFTER Thanksgiving). And just good luck my mom moved the week before and gave me her old upright freezer, thus we didnt lose much food. I removed the back panel on the LG and verified both fan and compressor were running. As it was out of 1 year labor warranty, LG would not pay for the service call to determine if the 7-year sealed system or 10-year warrantied compressor was the culprit. Spent $98 and waited a few days on a service call. Tech gets on the phone with LG and diagnosed it needs a new compressor. Compressor is under 10-year warranty, 1 month back order, but $1295 for labor is my responsibility. Geez, I should have went to refrigeration school. Tech said hes replaced so many of these LG compressors and recommended I get a new Whirlpool. He said even the replacements would fail. I like our LG fridge for its size and interior fit and finish, but to spend $1300 on a repair that will probably not last? My family members still have GE and Jenn Air fridges that are over 20 years old and not a single service call. Really disappointed. All this linear compressor and Inverter power supply technology seems to have compromised reliability. Anyone still make good old reliable refrigerators?

We would be putting away dishes and smell propane...whoops, somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be preparing a salad and whoops...somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be walking by with laundry on the way past to the laundry room and whoops...somebody bumped the knob. Final straw, my son was cooking with his girlfriend making dinner for us all. She reached into a cabinet near the stove and bumped the burner knob. The front burner turned on and nearly caught her shirt on fire, right in front of me. This is ** ridiculous! It is like they just read from their computer prompt with every statement you make. My question is: WHERE AND HOW DO WE GET A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?! $3000 fridge should last more than 3 yrs! Purchased a new LG dishwasher on 12/17/20. Model #LDT5678SS. Delivered on 12/20/20. Used MAYBE a dozen times & now there is rust in the bottom of the tub & on the door. Since it is now past 30 days Lowes will not fix/replace it so we reached out to LG since there is a 1 year warranty. The tech they sent out said he owned the same model & kept his outside & his didnt do that. Then he went out to his truck, made a phone call, came back in & told us to call Customer Service & left. We called customer service who informed us the tech said it was improper use on our part. We only used Cascade & water. I dont understand how this is improper use!We also purchased the 5 year extended warranty from Lowes, but because it is still under manufacture warranty, they cannot help either. They also stated that rust on the tub & door is considered cosmetic & would not be covered. Even though in the back of the LG book, that came with the dishwasher, it states there is a lifetime warranty on the tub & 1 year warranty on the parts/labor.So now we are stuck with a brand new rusting dishwasher that sticks like rust inside & Im sure will only get worse with time but thats considered cosmetic. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN. Its sad because we used to love LG. Own several LG TVs & also just purchased a LG Microwave which Im going to return before the 30 days. We were also looking at purchasing the matching stove & refrigerator but that is definitely out of the question now!! Between the Dishwasher, connectors & warranty we paid over $1,000 & now were stuck with it!

I was out of country for business when my wife tells me our 5 year old LG refrigerator stopped working. I had her call LG customer service department (India). They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.

I spoke to a supervisor Abigale on 6/9 & spoke to another supervisor Kenisha on 6/10. I have spent $20.00 per day on ice, 29 days... We lost over $925.00 of food. I bought 2 large coolers at $60.00 each just to keep some food in house with buying ice every day. I spent $100.00 for a company to come out to find out what the problem is and what our LG 3 year old product needs. I have spent an entire day home for your so-called repair ppl from TNBS to service our unit on 5-25 no one showed. Wasted an entire day from work and that cost me $850.00. So I’m out of pocket. So I’m out of pocket almost $ 2500.00, how are you going to handle that situation. Plus my wasted time, gas getting ice, on the phone for hours day after day. I’m sure if you ppl at LG had your act together you’d find my information. By the way your employees don’t care and your compressors that you install on the new machines are already 10 years old. Your corporate office and president has no clue on treating clients properly. It’s beyond my comprehension why and how a company of this size survives with this type of attitude. So tell me when I’ll be reimbursed for all the damages? Having my dad on home hospice care made this situation beyond unreasonableOriginal Review: We bought our LG in Oct 2016. Worked fine up until May 15 2020. Compressor stopped. Had independent service person confirm & write report. Cost me $100.00. Called LG for over 3 weeks to get some to repair. Wrote a letter to the President of LG, no response. I have 5 people in our home, including a dad on home hospice care (I even explained that to every person I spoke with. Absolutely Zero customer no service, NOTHING). Finally after 4 weeks (and using 2 large coolers and filling/buying ice EVERYDAY) I called again, finally got through and got an appointment for a week later. Per the tech, LG doesnt care about issues, after the sale you can go pound sand. Typically his route consists of MANY people with fridges not working 3-5 weeks. Nice guy but he works for one of the worst customer care serviced I have ever experienced in my life. I wouldnt buy & LG product if someone paid me.

I bought my new LG topload washer and dryer on 7/1/12 and noticed after about a week that my white clothes werent getting clean. I turned my tankless heater up to 140 and put my sheets into wash. I went to add a pair of socks and noticed the water was barely warm. My heater is fine so on the next hot load, I watched when the washer was filling and it was putting more cold water in than hot! I called LG Support line and they said that was how it was supposed to be and I should try putting it on the bulky bedding setting. I did and it had no effect. I called Sears because when I bought it, they said I had a 90-day return option. They said, yes you do, but since I used the washer, I couldnt return it! I will never do business with Sears or buy another LG product. I would imagine the front loaders are the same but it would be impossible to check.

We bought a LG manufactured french door refrigerator from Sears in July of 2015 and it failed July 2020. Beautiful fridge to look at, but thats it. Firstly the freezer can no longer keep ice cream and certain other products. Secondly, the slim-line ice maker located in the door will not dump the ice in the container. Thirdly, the mullion (between the french doors) will not operate properly. The Sears technician came today found that the COMPRESSOR is failing and the BOARD is no good. To replace both will cost me about $900. He said LG is aware of these COMPRESSORS failing and that there is a class-action lawsuit against LG. My previous Sears refrigerator (manufactured by Whirlpool) lasted over 20 years. I have a number of LG products in my home, a television which works fine, two computer monitors which work fine, three window air conditioning units (two 8000 btu units and one 18,000 btu unit purchased in 2007). The COMPRESSOR on the 18,000 btu unit has been out for the last 7 years. I will no longer buy LG products.

I will never purchase another LG product, they are inferior, and the manufacturer doesnt stand behind their product at all! We purchased a French door refrigerator and electric range 4 years ago and we have had nothing but problems. The refrigerator light malfunctioned while still under warranty and could have burnt our house down. Luckily, we were in town and I caught it just as the light cover had melted and warmed up everything in our fridge. The cabinet above the fridge was so hot, we could have cooked eggs in it. The ice maker has always had issues, and the fridge has intermittently frozen our vegetables at will. The manufacturer did replace the light fixture as this was a well-documented problem and I found hundreds of others online with the same melting problem including a few that actually did encounter a fire. The electric oven we purchased has had issues almost from the time the 1-year warranty was up. At times, weve had one or two burners that wouldnt work, and most recently, the start button on the oven doesnt work. We had this repaired a month ago, only to have the same problem the day before Christmas. In calling the repairman back, it will cost us another $400 after the $80 last month to repair this relatively new oven. We arent willing to dump another $400 into this piece of junk, as we have no confidence that it wont go out again soon. What ever happened to quality? LG stinks, and I tell everyone I know not to buy from them!

RUST at the metal lips where the detergents are poured. I noticed some rust under the plastic cover where the detergent is poured and decided to take out the four screws and check where the plastic meets the metal. IT WAS ALL RUSTED. The instruction manual does not require that the four screws be taken out for cleaning. The manual requires cleaning of the plastic area so that the dispensers work well, which we did. I reported this to LG with the pictures that I am sharing. They asked me if I use corrosive materials like bleach. Of course we do and the dispenser has a location where to apply the bleach. This unit is not heavily used (3 people), well cleaned and maintained (I am an engineer). It is no longer under warranty and LG said that it is cosmetic. I disagree because pieces of the rust are getting into our laundry as the washer vibrates. Check out the photos and decide.

Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

Ive only had my LG appliances for just 3 years. In the first year, I had a problem with the control panel on my stove. The oven/broiler did not work. I called repair. They came out and fixed it (no charge) only to have to call again almost a year later for the exact same problem. I found out that the repairman only CLEANED the unit and put the same thing back in the first visit. Now he had to replace it. Ive had problems with the top basket of the dishwasher. Its off-track and does not stay where it is supposed to.I always have to take special precautions when I pull out the top rack, fear of it dropping!! And last, now its my microwave. It just stop turning and heating up!! Thats it!!! Im so through with LG products!! Ive been a homemaker for 36 years and I will never buy an LG anything!!! They need to stop this foolishness and put out products that will last! - Angry Consumer.

Purchased washer less than 2 yrs ago. Direct drive motor busted and LG has NO IDEA when can get motor to fix the machine. THEY DONT HAVE THE PART, NO IDEA WHEN WILL HAVE IT. Guess I wasted my 800.00 on a piece LG junk. Absolutely the last LG purchase ever.

I bought the high capacity washer and dryer in September 2018 for around $2000. They are pieces of crap. They dont wash your clothes good. Literally some places havent even been touched by water. The dryer takes more than 1 cycle to dry. Totally useless. You call LG and theyll tell you that you arent washing clothes properly. I want my freaking money back!!!

I bought a new LG top load washer in March 2013. In a months time, the washer started constantly getting an error message UE. After taking 2-4 hrs to wash a load, because of this error, I called LG. A repairman was sent to my house within 2 days. He said that the computer panel had to be replaced, that this had been a problem with many of these washing machines. He came out about 10 days later, and he replaced the computer piece. It worked for a few months, and the same thing started happening. It is now September, and I had to go out and buy a brand new washing machine. The guy that sold us the new machine, told us that these computer chips burn whenever there is a power surge (we had several lightning storms recently). He showed us how the panel lights up and will eventually burn out. He also said, that it was a good thing it did not start a fire! Needless to say, I will never buy an LG product again! I spent almost a thousand dollars on a machine that I had a total of 6 months.

I had a high regard for LG prior to this experience. Indeed, we have many LG items in our home. Now, our refrigerator has failed with a known fault and is not yet being fixed. We had a service appointment today which they cancelled. Rescheduled for 3 weeks later. That will be a month with no refrigerator. We bought what we thought was a high end refrigerator and it has worked great for a short time, but then just quit cooling. LG has been less than exemplary on fixing it. This is a very bad move, company wise. I now have a totally negative impression of LG and any of their products. I will NEVER buy another LG product. I just dont trust them anymore. We have to wait a full month without a refrigerator to find out if our refrigerator will even be fixed. Last LG item of any kind I will ever buy.

The range looked very nice when I first bought it, but the plastic inside the knob broke after a couple of months. There is no easy way to replace the plastic. I just redid my whole kitchen and its embarrassing that now, I have to use a pair of pliers to turn the burners on and off. On top of it, the cover on the oven door is falling apart. Im extremely disappointed. I expected a better quality from LG.

Bought a $2600 LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It no longer cools and has ruined the contents twice. First repairman refused to do any warranty work for LG. Second repairman said that parts are covered under the warranty, but labor will be $390 - $450. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK THAT IVE EVER PURCHASED. I wished that there was a Lemon Law for refrigerators. Both repairmen said to stay away from LG refrigerators. Not only are they a piece of junk, but you cant get parts in a timely manner. It appears, from reading the reviews, that this is a common problem with LG refrigerators and it looks like the compressors go bad frequently. Im switching to Magic Chef or other Whirlpool brand. I hate to throw away a three year old, $2600, refrigerator, but Ill never trust this or any other LG product again. No wonder LG doesnt participate in this website. My Advice: DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

Had been noticing small (and some large too) particles on my clothes. Blame
Had been noticing small (and some large too) particles on my clothes. Blamed it on everything else except the washing machine. Read book and was instructed to clean tub with bleach or a tub clean. Cleaned it and the large particles became small particles. In the beginning I rewashed everything which didnt help. So now I have to shake the clothes outside, rinse and spin again, put in dryer and shake clothes outside or pick or roll off the particles. Have to be very careful when clothing is wet because the particle will smear and leave a mark on the clothes. Does not clean the clothes as well either. I called company and was given foreign representative who read from a script saying to set the washer on a certain number she gave me and put phone near the machine. She said it is okay and had no error codes. Spoke to another person who said to have someone come in to check it. When reading the website about this machine, it has the identical problem with many other consumers. One person described the problem as having a can of Pepsi explode in machine. Many have had techs come to fix with no such help to the problem, just a large bill to pay. This is sad. I have a top loader bought in 2015. The front loaders appear to also have a smell which I seemed to combat with the bleach and leaving the top open. It is indescribable and I do intend to write to the State Attorney General as this does not seem to be something that should happen with a brand new machine and the company takes no responsibility for the problem. Too many consumers have this problem. I could go on but I get extremely upset and my daughter bought in 2016 a front loader and Im sure it will happen to her. My husband researched on computer and we have to try to get more of these particles dissolved which we are going to try with vinegar. Bleach breaks up the sediment which you cannot see but the vinegar supposedly dissolves it. I am 69 years old and have never had such a problem with a washing machine. This is a disgrace!!!

In the past 4 months I have had 2 of the 4 LG products I own go out or have issues. Attempting to get these products repaired or service which are under warranty is difficult. LG does not have enough service techs to cover their area of service. Which causes for extend wait and service times. Which is fine if one of your devices is a TV. Though I had a fridge go out and for the issue to total get resolved took 3+ weeks, which end with me purchasing a new fridge not made by LG.

Purchased a LG stove that I thought was nice. All knobs broke, company sent me others and they broke, no children playing with stove, just cheap plastic knobs, top grates a redlicious to clean and dont even come clean as also the hole top of the stove under the grates. Owned many stoves and own rental houses also and will never buy a LG product again. Customer service told me how to clean everything and it dont work. My cheap basement GE stove cleans and works much better and we use it more. Model number lrg30357st.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2017. (Note: it is not yet 3 years old.) I absolutely love the refrigerators features: The 3 drawers in the bottom freezer, the ice/water dispenser and maker in the door, the large, wide door shelves, the separate crisper drawer. (BTW, I still love their design.) The problems with this refrigerator began 2 years after purchasing it. Since then, this less-than-3-year-old refrigerator has completely stopped cooling 3 separate times. We have replaced all the parts in the entire cooling system: the compressor, the evaporator, the filter dryer, and a service valve. It has cost us many hundreds of dollars in labor costs, parts, and food loss. It just broke on us for the last time. We are chucking this lemon and buying a new Not-LG refrigerator. If you look online, you will see a class action suit against LG due to their cooling system issues. LG has known that the design of their refrigerator cooling system is faulty, and they have continued to sell them without addressing their design problems. Once the first year of use is behind you, you must pay for these repairs. In my opinion, LG does not deserve your business. More importantly, you DO NOT WANT an LG! No one wants this much malfunction and trouble.
