I had purchased the above fridge and after 17 days its compressor was burnt. I insisted for its replacement but after full assurance by the companies repairing manager that any future complaint will be attended with immediate replacement, I gave my consent. To my utter disappointment, only after 3 days of its compressor being replaced, the same again, stopped working. Immediately I requested the repairing manager to provide a staff for its original repacking after which the same was delivered to authorized service center, viz. M/s S.R.Service Plot no 2.Raghunath **, Mahmoorganj, Varanasi, Uttar-Pradesh (INDIA) for replacement, but still after nearly two years, I have not received the replacement nor have my requests made by personal visit to your office been attended. Now, online complaints are also being directed to Branch Manager, Varanasi. On contacting her on mobile she had assured to revert yesterday but on several calls today, it was revealed that still they are checking their records. As a customer, I now request you to refund my money with interest and also compensate for the mental agony faced by me till date. Please, HELP ME GOD.

Paid $742.49 for LG Front load washer. After 1.5 years stopped working and had to pay $200 for labor costs. 2 people using the machine. After 3 years 4 months the washer stopped working again. Cost is $700.00 to fix. Didnt realize Washers last not even 5 years now, wow!

Purchased top of the line LG fridge in May2020. Ice maker stopped working early August. Took 2 weeks for repairman to arrive. Said would need to replace ice maker. Part on back order. It came last week October. Replaced by repairman. Didn’t work. Repairman came back. Said needed data study and left unit in freezer for 4 days. Now they say need to replace circuit card. On order. Says if that doesn’t fix it will probably need to replace compressor. I called customer service and was told they will probably never replace the fridge. I am totally sick of this. LG is a terrible company.

Front load washer makes loud tapping noise during spin cycle. The noise is so loud you cant talk on phone, watch TV or have a conversation while the washer is on. I leave the house whenever I wash. LG techs tell me thats normal for a front loader. I cannot believe a company would make something so loud.

I have to say that my LG model LFX25991ST top of the line French door refrigerator looks great. Unfortunately, it doesnt keep food cold. After just over two years, the compressor failed, the replacement of the compressor failed, and Im just hoping that I got a lemon and that Sears will replace it with a new non-lemon after Ive had my fourth repair call. Going without a fridge for 4 weeks now, and having food spoiled twice when it failed is not fun. I would think long and hard before buying another LG product.

We purchase a LG refrigerator Model LFX28968SM on November 29, 2016 from Home Depot and it had a 1 year warranty. On September 2018 the refrigerator section was not cooling below 60 deg F. I called the two LG Authorized Service Centers and they would not respond. I called another repair center and they ordered the part that arrived after 2 weeks from China and it did not fit. They tried to order a replacement and after six weeks they were unsuccessful. We discarded the LG refrigerator and ordered a brand that was made in the US. It was a terrible experience that cost us $2,000.

We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

My friend rave about her range & I like it; does a good job. She states the oven cooks the meals fast & evenly all the way around, I happen to like the way it looks in her kitchen. I sometimes go to prepare meals for our families & I like how fast it cooks & a big plus for easy cleanup. I plan to buy a LG range for my kitchen in the very near future.

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

As soon as the warranty (1 YR) was over... Problems started. Temperature changed by itself; called LG they connected to the unit and fixed it, but continue to ask for me to get extra warranty (I did not). Unit started icing inside and water inside as well, after several (self do it yourself) defrosting, problem continued. Called LG again and they said they could not take care of it, that I needed to make appointment with them to have it fixed. I told them I would take the frig/unit and drop it in front of the store explaining to everyone what was wrong with it and worthless it was. They got connected online and reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing it again. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. BTW, units are less than three years old and Im hardly ever home to use them, so it should only be about 6 months worth of use. Thank God I didnt buy the washer and dryer from them.

The turn-off buttons for the interior light failed causing the bulb to stay on and melting the interior (plus, spoiling the food due to acrid fumes/temperature). I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with ice maker about 4 years ago. We have had several issues with this unit because the ice maker would continually overfill and flood the back of the unit. We have had numerous issues with flooding and ice all over the floor and with the unit not keeping food cold enough. We contacted LG for service, only to realize that it would take two weeks to install a new compressor and worrying if that would hold. I had just purchased food from BJs and lost over $200.00 in food. Not willing to re-experience this again, we ran out to Lowes and purchased a Samsung refrigerator which will be delivered tomorrow. I will never buy another LG product again. Made in Korea, and you must wait to replace parts.

Weve had this LG refrigerator for the best part of 5 years and it is still going strong. There is minor rusting at the bottom part but that is probably our fault. The freezer also started to form ice which we do not like one bit but we consider it a minor thing. It has not broken down so were kind of happy with that. The light indicator became an issue back then as it was not working as it should have, but we made a minor tweak in the wiring so that its back up running good again. I wouldnt say we are particularly careful with our appliances but this fridge has managed to make it through up to this day which is very much fine. It looks like we did not make a mistake in choosing an LG product. I expect it to last another decade or so, which is how it should be with stuff like this. If it does, I will write an update on this review ten years from now and will give a 5-star rating.

I have a LG washer and dryer, both are four years old. I’ve been having intermittent issues with the washer not spinning/throwing a code. Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. I finally emailed again about a month later and was provided two possibilities, one of them does not service my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. An email to the VP of service in Canada four days ago has not even been acknowledged. Absolutely deplorable customer care and more aggravation than it’s worth.

The refrigerator was also on sale for a great price. I would recommend this product to friends and family. It had most of the features I was looking for. I have been very happy with all the features of this product and cannot think of any thing that I would change or add. LG products are very well made. I looked at several other brands and styles and choose the LG. I really liked the sleek look. The shelving layout was better than what I was looking for and the price was great. I was very happy with this product. I would say all my expectations and then some were met.

My husband bought this horrible piece of crap without me. We had it a couple of months when it started to fail. Getting stuck on spin cycle and the clothes were SOAKED. Tech came in and said we have to put it on BULK (never had this problem with other machines). So, he cleared it, and worked on the drain motor. A couple months later (while using bulk setting), the machine did the same thing. In the year and a half since we bought it, it had done this about 25 times. Second time we had a tech come out... tried to tell us the same thing. This item is faulty. Just found out a friend with a front load LG is having the same issue. Never buying an LG again.

My daughter used a microwave-safe bowl to melt chocolate in my LMC0975 LG microwave. Two seconds after she pressed Start, the interior wall of the oven caught on fire. She immediately shut the microwave oven off and unplugged it. She is staying at my place while I am away. I told her to call LG. She was told by a rep that because the warranty has expired, she has to pay someone to come and see if the issue is the magnetron, which has a 10-year warranty, or take the oven into a repair centre. This is not possible due to Corona, and I dont think we should have to pay to have it checked. This seems like a fire hazard, and I am surprised they had no other support available and did not seem to think their product catching fire was something of great concern. I would like LG to detail how they will take care of this issue for me.

We purchased a four unit package. Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. The other units are great but the ovens (both top and bottom) fluctuate so much in temperatures that it takes fifteen/twenty minutes longer to bake anything and then it comes out dry and hard. A service technician replaced the control board but failed to check if it fixed the problem. I purchased a digital oven temperature probe to check it myself. I bought this machine in March, 2016. I got a 10 year warranty and that was a selling point. Ive followed the manual to the T. I clean the water filters, tub clean every month, etc. So I am doing my due diligence. However, since the day I got it it hasnt done a load the same way twice no matter the setting. It doesnt use enough water and ruins clothing. I have a very bad back so I had to put a short hose to connect to my slop sink because it was taking a toll on my arthritis. It cannot even begin to do a heavy duty load! I always have to add more water to every single load so that nothing gets ruined. My old machine was 20 years old and did an incredible job compared to this piece of junk. I bought rubber foot holders to make sure it didnt move around which did work but the machine itself is useless. My husband has to wear fire retardant clothing to work, which is extremely expensive, and even when I add water it continues to destroy these from clothes faster than Ive ever seen a washer abuse clothing. The load sensor is useless. Its just there for bells and whistles. There is supposed be an app to tag on to the machine to do smart diagnosis. There is no such app available anywhere. But it says there is and gives step by step instructions on how to do it which takes up more pages in the manual than anything else in there. But its just filler to make it look good. This was a selling point I liked too, but as I said, its non-existent. Ive tried contacting them a few times but I dont get any response. None. I need to either get them to replace this with something that actually works or return my money. I should have bought the Samsung like was going to initially. Every time I try to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle it fills the tub to the very top and Im always afraid its going to overflow. Even if its not a big load it fills to the top. Now, this is supposed to be a high efficiency machine but I hardly call that efficient at all. I need something that works. On top of it all, I bought at H.H. Gregg near me which isnt even there anymore and I refuse to let them come look at it just to tell me I need a new main board, which seems to be the reason for everyones problems, according to all the reviews Ive read. LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH THIS MACHINE! I need real help here. If anyone can suggest something positive that might get me a new machine that actually works, Im all ears.

I wish I could give a negative rating! We have been working with LG customer service since October (over 2 months now). We are extremely disappointed and feel like we have been led on like they would possibly stand behind their product. I can hardly believe we have went this long without a full size fridge and freezer. If LG customer service would have just told us over two months ago that they would not stand behind a less than 3 year old fridge we could have thrown it in a landfill and went and bought another brand. Not only do we NOT need to spend so much money every couple of years on a major appliance, but we really don’t need to fill up our landfills with these things. LG, if you cannot make a large major appliance last longer than 2 years, PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM! Do it not only for customers like me, but for the WORLD!

We also purchased LG washer/dryer, high end stainless steel. Washer is ok but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE3777W never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Two options: contact the Better Business Bureau in your state (they are usually really good) and the second option is contact your state Attorney General. LG is selling a defective product and that, in every state, is fraud.

I purchased LG wall oven 2018 LWS3063ST. After having two months I used self cleaning mode and it got so hot it burned up my oven. After three months of no oven and reordering of numerous parts replaced including, fuses, transformer and main motherboard and display panel the oven worked for light duty. I was advised to never you self cleaning mode again. We’re talking brand new oven, 1700.00 as this is typical for LG ovens. I was told the next time my oven would be replaced. Again I was told to never use the self cleaning mode. Fast forward to Jan 1st 2021. I go to turn on one and it won’t heat up. F19 error code. Main part is out again. Mind you, I have not used self cleaning mode since the last time and my LG warranty just went off and I’ve switched onto SquareTrade. They want to send parts again after I was guaranteed a replacement this time for this lemon oven. Apparently the service provider heaped all my visits into only two incidents and LG did not mark my account that oven would be replaced. You see they can’t tell me why the part keeps failing. LG just keeps sending parts for their warranty no matter what instead of replacing. I will not buy LG again. They should back their products. They just replace parts instead of unit until it’s past warranty and youre still stuck with a pile of crap but you’ve now exhausted your warranty and the same defective part that they haven’t fixed or self cleaning mode that burns oven up goes away and youre left with a lemon appliance that you now need to buy a new oven. My last oven was 20 years old. I used self cleaning all the time. Never had one problem or service call on it. LG is junk.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

Our $3000.00 LG refrigerator (lfxc24726s/02) started having problems just after the warranty expired in January 2017 and between waiting 3 months for parts then another two weeks because part replaced did not work and a day later the door is now leaking water. Called LG to voice our concerns with their quality and mentioning I have all LG appliances in the kitchen they dont really care. If you are in the market for a refrigerator avoid LG all together. Many more choices and better quality at this price range!

OMG. What a runaround, On Jan 14 2018 the unit (LG Armoire door in door 2 year old refrigerator) was not cooling. Spoke to a rep in the Philippines. Advised would contact tech and order part. She would follow up with an authorization code, which also never happened. On Jan 18, 2018, called LG Executive Service in Alabama for an authorization code and was advised would be set up with a Sears repair company. Finally on Jan 25, 2018 the repairman came and guess what - no authorization code in the system and I would have a $700 repair for a compressor which needed to be ordered. His manager would not speak to a “customer“. Finally I called executive service at LG in Alabama again and was confirmed that it was never set up correctly. She did set it up today, Jan 25, 2018. The service tech was now able to order the parts and would call me back with a time and date for him to come back to install the parts. So, going on more than 10 days of phone calls and waiting will continue for another unacceptable time. Stay tuned! This story seems to be repeated in all the reviews. Very sad for such a large company with beautiful, expensive appliances.

First, we purchase this refrigerator IMXS30776D is 2016. This refrigerator is barely three years old and $2800.00. This refrigerator has had all part replaced (the compressor twice). The technicians from A&E Factory Service deemed our refrigerator non-repairable. We called LG to see if we could get a replacement or refund. They said they needed information from the technician at A&E to confirm our refrigerator is non-repairable. Three weeks later, we have been passed back and forth between LG, SEARS the A&E. We made another attempted today to find out a status and were passed to SEARS Warranties department. They pretty much told us, No we are not replacing or refunding the refrigerator. I will not buy another LG refrigerator or any other product that LG makes. I will also pass on my experience to everyone I know and those I see shopping for refrigerators (Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot which I frequently shop). Stay away from LG refrigerators!!!!

Bought a Kenmore french door SS fridge for my son less than 4 years ago. Its made by LG. A week ago it stopped working. Had an ex-LG service rep, now an independent repairman, come out to fix it. He made 5 trips. Each time thinking it was a different circuit board after talking with the LG tech department. In the end, he determined it was the compressor that had failed. Most folks Ive talked to said its not worth fixing, just buy a new fridge. From this site, it seems that this is a fairly common problem, and that LG makes a deficient product. Every other fridge Ive owned (and I have 5 rental properties in addition to our own home) have lasted just about forever. Lesson: stay away from LG products!

I bought this microwave oven (Model LMV1813ST) August of 2013. Its warranty ran out a year later or August 2014. Within months, the front door of this unit came apart. The outer glass fell down and the whole door disintegrated. I called LG customer service and they initially said they would assist me with its repair then they pretty much blew me away. They gave me the name of an authorized repair shop that quoted me a repair bill far more than the unit is worth in the market new. I asked LG to reconsider and provide me with a number for upper management. They asked me for photos of the unit and its defective door then they pretty much have ignored me. They did not do anything and would not give me a number to corporate or management where I could have address the issue further. I must mention that like other consumers I bought two other appliances at the same time. All have had problems but fortunately for me it happen prior to the end of the warranty period. I believe it is fair to say that these LG products are cheaply made and not meant to last very long. LG tries to sell you over and over again an extended warranty for its products and it appears to be part of this corporate greed to gain profits on known defective products. I have looked at this microwave oven and its construction is not made to withstand the heat from the stove below for very long. The whole plastic door becomes unglued from the moisture and the heat naturally emanating from the stove while cooking is underway. The microwave is not made to withstand normal use for very long. It must be an obvious known fact to any industrial or appliance design engineer that the unit will not last. I do not believe LG should be allowed to be in the market to sell defective products at the expense of the consumer’s safety and pocket book. I would like a government agency to look into the LG quality control (if there is any) and sue this company for malfeasance and intentional sale of defective goods for consumer’s households. I would like to see a class action suit against LG. Do not buy an LG product. I will tell all I know my experience with LG appliances and other goods. I have bought other LG devices, which also have broken down within days of purchase. I can prove and attest to what I am writing here.

We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! So I watched it wash one day and I saw it wasnt putting enough water in. So I added more water with a hose and it washed fine. So I called LG and told them the problem. They told me I was overloading the washer. I told them that five tee-shirts and five pairs of underwear with 10 socks wasnt overloading. I told them no matter what I wash, it didnt put enough water in. They told me this was normal. I said, No, it wasnt. I could see dry spots on my clothes while it was washing. They would not do anything about it. So now I have to add water with a hose every time I do a wash load! Dont buy an LG washer. They are no good and their service sucks!

Hoping someone else will read this (and the feedback from countless other discontented LG customers) before buying an LG product. We remodeled our kitchen two years ago and bought all new appliances, including one of LGs expensive refrigerators - model LXFS30726S. About two weeks ago the unit stopped cooling and we called LG to have it repaired (parts are covered under warranty after year 1, labor is not). A repairman came out four days later and deduced that we needed a new compressor and three other parts to fix it. Ordered them and gave us an ETA of one week to be back and have the repair completed. We had to text him on the day it was supposed to be fixed to find out that the part wasnt in yet. Called LG and was told by the hard to understand customer service rep that the parts had shipped and would be in the next day. That didnt prove to be true.Called again two days later and got the Escalation department (which apparently means the excuses keep escalating but the customer service quality does not). At least I could understand this representative, who called the repairman while she put me on hold and said she had confirmed with the repairman (he also works for LG) that the parts were in and hed be out in a week to fix it. We called the repairman because hed said he would be out as soon as the parts were in and we didnt want to wait another week - we have already been without a refrigerator for two weeks and he said the parts were not in and that he hadnt told the customer service rep hed be out the following Monday. So, basically LGs customer service representative lied to me just to get me off the phone. It is sad that such a large corporation cannot get its act together and is acting so shady in dealing with its customers. Im hoping that eventually we have a working refrigerator but not holding my breath at this point. This is apparently an epidemic with LG. Do yourself a huge favor and buy a different brand of refrigerator - we sure wish we had at this point.

LG made us buy the extended warranty last year when our fridge needed service, something that would cover any necessary repairs in the future as they recommended. Now, our fridge needs service again but LG is not committing to any repair. Instead they want to refund us what we paid for the warranty minus $100 (which $298), even though it says in the contract that they would reimburse the value of the fridge if the repair to the unit is deemed not cost effective. Shame on you LG for not honoring the contract. Ill call my senator, and every phone numbers out there to bring this to light.

Ive owned this LG washing machine and dryer for about 2 years now. I found that if I dont overload the machine, it cleans the clothes fairly well. I do think the amount of water used is too small. Its just not sufficient enough to soak into the clothes to loosen the dirt and odors. The odor is the sign that it needs to be reprogrammed for more water. When it was programmed for the amount of water it uses now, the engineers lengthened the washing cycle, which increases electricity use. Lengthen the cycle did not cause the clothes to get cleaner. More water is the key and maybe a redo of the soap used in cleaning the clothes. Either way there must be an adjustment. Lets hope they listen eventually or they will lose sales big time. My sister has the same problem with her front load machine. The dryer is just fine, great. You just have to take my word for it. Pictures wont give you the smell and why would I lie about a purchase that I paid over a thousand dollars to buy?

Range LG as many others have said “what a waste of time“. So I started online looking for something to protect my family and I. I came across RangeSafe knobs. Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.

Fix for mildew smell in LG washer: Use a half cup or so of plain old cheap vinegar in every load. It takes the smell away. Add it with the detergent you use. We use 2 or 3 cups in heavy loads of towels. Our old top loader, my mothers front loader, and our new LG all needed it. Nothing we ever did took the smell away. For us it was a combination of the water in our town and our washers. Just try it. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar. We hated that smell and this fixed it. Anytime we forget to add it, we get the smell again. A gallon of cheap vinegar costs 2, maybe 3 bucks at the most? Seriously, try it on a few loads of towels and youll be happy.

We called LG to repair a refrigerator that was under warranty. The compressor to the refrigerator is not working (diagnosed by an appliance service that we originally called to repair). I waited on the phone for 35 minutes before someone was able to address the situation. After another 20 minutes I was informed that they only have one service provider in Washington DC and it would be 7 (yes seven!) days for the next appointment. My husband attempted to call again to follow up and was on hold for one hour and 30 minutes (Geisha informed him that he would be transferred to the Executive team) to determine if we could get an earlier appointment or perhaps hire someone else to fix the refrigerator and be reimbursed by LG.This has to be the most incompetent customer service I have ever encountered. They are incapable of answering the phone, make you wait hours to transfer you to different departments, and then make you wait weeks to have your appliance fixed. I will never buy another LG appliance - their customer service and repair service is terrible. Buy another brand, and make sure you ask about the warranty repair timeline - LG apparently thinks a week or more is acceptable. Take your business elsewhere - this company is horrible.

We bought 5 LG appliances in April of 2010 and had them installed in August same year. So far we have had to have the wall oven repaired twice after only 3 years. After the first repair it broke down again within 7 months and we were told the warranty for the new part was only 6 months! Trying to get a second repair took over a month of angry phone calls just to try to get a LG certified repair shop to even book an appointment! When contacting customer service they will not let you speak with any sort of management/supervisory personnel and there is no way to receive an address for a letter of complaint. Our convection microwave also stopped working after less than 3 years and had to be replaced at the same time as the second oven repair. Should have been done with the first oven repair but could not get the part from LG in time and they were going to charge for another service call!Side by side double drawer bottom mount freezer refrigerator hasnt had the water dispenser work for a couple years. Their top of the line dishwasher has been having grinding sounds for over a year and this week is now on a continual run cycle no matter which cycle you request, just does not stop as well as having the loud grinding sound the whole time it runs whether 2 minutes or 20 hours! Just waiting for our induction cooktop to be the last of the appliances to quit, should be coming any time now! It astounds me that consumers can pay top dollar for products and get lower than average results with the products and customer service. Trying to speak to anyone within the customer service center is a lesson in how not to conduct business, and not being able to have a contact address or email or phone number for customer complaint is infuriating.

I dont care how many times a mo. I run the cleaning cycle, it still smells. My laundry comes out smelly. I leave the door open for up to 2 or 3 hours after I wash, dry the inside around the door. I also drain the drain hose about 4 times a mo. I take the roller jets out like 2 times a mo. and clean them. We have leveled it so much and even put a piece of plywood under it and that didnt help with leveling. This washer is really just a joke.

We bought a new front load LG washer from Home Depot in December 2015. It leaked from day 1 from the bottom of the door dripping down the washer to puddle on the floor. 5 months later we are still dealing with the issue. We have had 4 service calls with replacement of the seal, the door, and tightening the hinges. It still leaks and the foreign speaking folks in customer service just create another service ticket with a new company so they keep stringing us along inconveniencing the homeowner with an all day stay at home, wait for the repairman day so when they leave, I still have a washer that leaks. This is my first LG product and will be my last. I hope everyone starts to wake up and find another company to purchase from because LG by far is the most despicable company to have to deal with. If I could I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 star review. Very dissatisfied doesnt describe my experience. They truly dont give a darn about the customer!

Because the defrost heater went out after the 1 yr warranty, I had to pay to have the defrost heater replaced which cost me $400. It has been a little over a year and its freezing up all up under the crispers and deli tray again. Ice everywhere. LG does not back their products. I guess I can expect to pay $400 every year to have this part replaced. I wont ever buy an LG product again.

LG washer model wt1001cw top loader - Purchased washer from Menards based on high ratings from consumer reports. Had it for only a week and parts of the laundry does not get wet and clothes do not come out clean. Called LG. States have to have repairman look at machine to be deemed non-repairable. Repair person states it is the nature of the beast. That is how the machine works. LG supervisors states nothing they can do, told me to go to Menards and state buyers remorse. Went to Menards. They will not accept return since it was past 7 days. We came in on the ninth day! We told the manager at Menards in Escanaba, MI about the buyers remorse. He laughed! Not impressed with LG and Menards! We can always use the washing machine for target practice. Probably will be good therapy!

Firstly, the first refrigerator that I received in September, 2018 did not work at all. The Brick replaced it with the floor model until they could order me a new one. Initially, the whole scenario was a nightmare for me. It is all good now except for the fact that the stainless steel is always streaky, no matter what I use or do. It is very frustrating. I have tried almost everything, including the wipes, vinegar & water and just water and cloths. If anyone has any ideas, help! I am thinking it may be a poor grade of stainless steel. I am disappointed with the finish on the stainless steel.

Purchased an LG refrigerator in 2013 model number LFX31925ST. Worse purchase we have ever made. Unit not cooling and freezer not freezing. Im going to make this short but calling LG to repair, this has been nothing short of a nightmare. I have had several LG techs come out. Replaced compressor. Weeks later computer board still not working - it has been over a month. Tech came out once again and gave the fridge a time of death. Dealing with LG was the worst experience. Rude customer service and supervisors that hung up on me. It has been almost a month of calling LG getting tossed around to different people and if you call back to speak to another supervisor on the same day they will NOT patch your call through. NEVER AGAIN.

I went to Best Buy, and I liked the LG refrigerator so I purchased it. The quality is very bad though, and I’m dealing with them for long time. It has an issue for more than three months and still they didn’t resolve the problem. For three times, they told me they’re gonna give me a replacement. They said they needed a proof of purchase and all this stuff, which I gave them three times, but still, they didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not gonna buy LG products ever in my life again for sure. And I will put my reviews about my experience on all the sites. Go with something else.

We purchased a counter-depth LG refrigerator (Model LFX25991ST) 4 years ago. The ice dispenser switch went bad. Then in June, 2017, the compressor failed and had to be replaced. In August, 2017, the evaporator fan failed and had to be replaced. We have lost all confidence in the refrigerator. There are many one-stars ratings for a reason.LG Warranty: When I called LG (good luck getting someone let alone someone you can understand), the customer service representative told me that parts are generally covered for 10 years, but labor is not. An authorized LG repairman can inspect the unit (usually for a fee) and order the parts from LG for free, but you pay for their labor to install the parts. If you dont use an authorized LG repairman, you will need to pay for both the parts and labor (but their labor charges are often a lot less, so the total cost may well be similar).

(*We are very eat clean folks...no children in the house, etc). Called Sears, they sent out repair person twice; they looked at the drain mechanism, messed with the computerized controls and made all cycles longer; suggested we clean the washer every week with purchased $$ tablets.. So now the machine that was to save money by saving water (High efficiency)... Would now cost out to $ $15/month for cleaning tablets!! They should take it back and replace it with a better model!

Always out of balance. Cannot wash a small load. Doing a bath robe? Better buy 10 of them so the machine is full otherwise it will not wash and will go out of balance. Have a blanket to wash? Sorry, you will need to wash every one of them in the house because the machine will go out of balance if you have fewer than 4-6 blankets. Forget about washing your bath mats with the waterproof, non-slip backing as those are not recommended to be washed in this washer. Just throw them out every week and buy new ones. Plan to spend hours every week staring into your washer waiting for it to go out of balance because if you do not babysit this machine, it will empty and refill, empty and refill, using hundreds of gallons of water in a futile attempt to rebalance the load. Would write more but my LG washer is out of balance again so I have to go.

I purchased an LG French door, two draw bottom freezer (Model No.: LMX25981ST) in July 2008. After only three years, the fan and motor for the water and ice maker has gone out. LG states that the refrigerator is out of warranty and there is nothing they will do to help. Really? You would think that if you paid close to $3,000 for a refrigerator that it would last a little longer than three years. LG customer service sucks and nobody should ever buy any LG products because they will end up costing a lot of money in repairs in the long run. Once again, LGs customer service is awful. They do not care! Spread the word to all of your friends, families, co-workers, neighbors, or just people you meet on the street. Do not buy LG products anymore! Lets show LG that they cannot continue to make bad products and not stand behind them!

We paid a fortune for this washer. It is an LG Wave Force True Balance top load. As another consumer stated, you cannot wash a small or a very large load without the UE code showing on the display. The machine constantly tries to balance itself. To me, 1 or 2 things is a small load. Ive washed 10-12 articles of clothing and I still get a UE. I go in readjust the load, press start. 10 minutes later I get UE again. It takes me 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. The repairman came out twice. We had a discussion over the small load issue. So now my unfortunate solution has been to change to a slower spin speed (which often does not work either) or to wash pants, shirts, towels and under garments all together so I can come up with a load size that the machine will take. Very poor design. I will never buy an LG washer again. It was a waste of money.

I purchased a LG refrigerator model LFXS25623S/00 in 2017. Refrigerator & freezer stopped working end of May 2020. Have been battling with LG for over a month. Last week they sent out a repairman that said it’s the compressor but he can’t fix it because it is under warranty?!? I have been given 2 case numbers because I am being sent from dept to dept with no resolution. I am bedridden due to terminal illness, my caregivers are having to bring ice every day to keep some of my meds cool and are having to bring in my meals because I lost all of my meats and no refrigerator working now to replace lost food. I’m only asking for my refrigerator to be repaired but apparently that is too daunting of a task for LG.When I call in I am put on hold to be transferred and then the call drops. This has happened numerous times. I received an email saying my case is now being turned over to the Defective Returns Dept. It has been 5 days and still no word from that Dept. I purchased this refrigerator thinking I was getting a high quality refrigerator and paid the high quality price but I am definitely not getting high quality customer service. Obviously with all the compressor issues LG knows there is a problem and should be prepared to offer resolutions in a more timely manner.

LG said the refrigerator I brought from Home Depot was refurbished so they would not cover the warranty. When I asked then for a statement from the repairman so that I could question Home Depot, LG refused to give any info about what the repairman said. Home depot insist that the refrigerator was new. LG will not be responsible for their product. I paid $1400 dollars for this refrigerator and now the compressor is broken. LG has a warranty for seven years on the compressor and they dont want to fix it and referred me to a company that wants $700 for the repairs that LG suppose to cover. If LG demeans this product refurbished they should give me a statement from the repairman, So that Home Depot could be responsible for selling me a product as a new one but it wasnt new. I think that Home Depot and LG are conspiring a fraud. That is why each company isnt saying anything or doing anything.

Purchased LGs gas oven, in part for its brilliant blue interior. Well within the first year of use, the interior base shelf had corroded, as if some solvent had been applied to remove the paint. Since I never bake citric foods (no lasagna, no fruit pies), I could not explain how this ugly disfiguring of the interior of the oven could have occurred. Running ones hands over the surface, it feels like sandpaper.Additionally, the internal temperature is approximately 25 degrees off, based on an oven temperature gauge purchased to check the ovens accuracy. Both of these problems bring into question the overall integrity of this LG gas oven. I would not recommend anyone purchase an LG appliance.

I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

Its really sad that you invest so much money buying someone products and they pretty much NOT worth the time you spend researching for the best products. December 15 - I took delivery the LG gas range, opened it as the delivery truck was leaving (they did not install it) and I noticed the interior glass was not seated properly and had a small crack. The delivery truck had just pulled away, so sending it back at that moment wasnt an obvious option. I immediately called Home Depot, who gave me the LG customer service number. In my first call to LG, they immediately offered me a compensation check to have a repairman fix it. I agreed to this. Then LG transferred me to their parts and repair dept. The person in parts and repair said it couldnt be repaired, because it was not installed yet, even though it is just the oven door. At this point LG customer service number was closed for the day.December 16 - I called Home Depot service back first to get help. They personally called LG and had a ticket created in the LG system for replacement instead. They said in about three days I would get a call to schedule the new range delivery. December 21 - I hadnt heard from LG yet, so I called them. They said a manager there had cancelled my replacement ticket without calling me to let me know(!), because I had been issued a damages check, and I could no longer get a replacement. I explained that LG Parts and Service told me I could not have it repaired, because it wasnt installed. LG said they would send an independent technician out and they would decide whether it can be repaired without installation. December 26 - Technician is no call, no show.December 27 - Technician comes out, tells me LG will probably just issue a replacement, he has to submit a claim. He will call me in about 3 hours with an answer. I dont know what this means for the damages check they were going to issue? December 29 - I start calling the repair company back for an answer. I talk to someone there 1-2 times a day thereafter, each time they say they dont have an answer, but will in a few hours. January 5 - I give up, the appliance repair service isnt calling me back. I call LG, say I dont think a claim was ever submitted on the oven door. The notes in the system at LG now seem to indicate I was in the process of a replacement, rather than repair? NOW, three weeks later, they say a replacement *can* be done (I am not confident I will receive the damages check anyhow). I am fed up, I tell them I want that damages check at this point, so they will have to find another company to repair it.They transferred me to LG parts and service. I asked parts and service if they can simply send me a new oven door, and I will send the old door back? There are two metal clips that hold the door on, you just flip them up and slide it out, I believe its designed this way so you can take the door off to clean it. They will not let me handle this. I am given the name and number for a new repair company, and told they will be in contact with me ASAP. The new repair company hasnt contacted me yet, and isnt answering their phone right now. Both repair companies have very low ratings online, complaints through the BBB as well - though with something this simple, I dont really care - as long as they can repair it quickly. That doesnt appear to be a possibility. The LG repair and service escalated my request, which was supposed to lead to a callback from an executive team within 48 hours. They never called back.January 8 - The Twitter account for LG helps me in a direct message, which was more effective than any phone call I placed. They arranged an LG employee technician in my area to repair the oven door. The Twitter account person said it was requested the parts be pre-ordered, repair date is January 15. January 14 - I installed the oven in preparation for arrival of my new oven door parts. January 15 - The LG technician calls and says we have to reschedule because of a back injury. 1/19 was my new date he gave me... But then I asked if he pre-ordered parts. They were not pre-ordered. The technician checked stock in your system for the door glass. There is no stock available on the door glass, he doesnt know if there WILL be stock on the door glass in the near future, but he has put the order in now. He said to check back in two days for a status whether there will be glass.I made a big mistake installing the oven beforehand. I followed up with the Twitter account person, who was helpful again, but said the system indicates he has not ordered the glass yet. January 17 - The second outside repair shop, which I never was able to get ahold of, showed up at my house while no one was home, called me and said they were there to fix the range! They said LG (India call center, parts and repair) set up the appointment date and time. No one from LG called me about there being an appointment scheduled. I told them I have a factory tech already scheduled, they didnt have parts to fix it anyways.January 19 - When I check the online status, the technician still has me listed as a scheduled repair today. However, the status of the parts are still back ordered days later. How are there not parts available? 5 weeks as of today. Update: spoke to tech, parts are back ordered until at least the end of February. If the parts and service had told me this 5 weeks ago, the first time I spoke with them, I wouldve demanded a new oven. I assume I will be able to get a new oven, has not happened yet though.

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. I thought I was being more careful when I hit the handle of a pot of hot stew and it went flying across the kitchen. You must keep your children out of the kitchen when using these front burners. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY AN LG STOVE WITH GRIDDLE IN THE MIDDLE.

I needed a dishwasher. LG had a whole set of stuff on sale and I thought it looked good. So I bought it all including the refrigerator and the washer. I also use LG phones, so I like their products. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

LG customer service was like talking to a wall. I also bought a washer: a full tub without an agitator and water saver. Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

I wanted to know why this was happening, then they said they would replace the gasket. The technician came out and did replace the knobs and gasket. At the time I asked what happens if this happens again? Sure enough, six months later, melting knobs, LG offered the same solution. I argued this should not be happening, concerned heat was escaping, did not want the same repair. The second technician agreed I needed a new oven and called LG while he was here. They refused to give him a return authorization number. The technician said there was a recall and I should be persistent. Well after 4 calls to LG, they have refused my claim, was very rude and dismissive... This company needs to be taught how to treat people... We need a class action lawsuit!

Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.
