I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

I purchased a 30 cubic foot super capacity French door refrigerator in 2017 and now my second compressor is gone. The place I purchased it from no longer sells LG products. I called 4 repair technicians. I cant get anyone to come out and work on it. I paid $4,000 plus tax for this fridge thinking it was going to last me a long time. Not to mention the 2 fridge loads of food thrown out. We are a family of 6.

This is a dream come true. Both the air filters and water filters are easy to replace. It has several drawers both in the refrigerator part and the freezer part. It is easy to remove refrigerator drawers to clean. The shelves are adjustable. The shelving inside the door has doors on both the inside and outside. You can open just the door shelf to save cold air. It has an alarm that tells me if the door is open too long. The only drawback is it is oversized. It sticks out further than my cupboards.

December 15 - I took delivery the LG gas range, opened it as the delivery truck was leaving (they did not install it) and I noticed the interior glass was not seated properly and had a small crack. The delivery truck had just pulled away, so sending it back at that moment wasnt an obvious option. I immediately called Home Depot, who gave me the LG customer service number. In my first call to LG, they immediately offered me a compensation check to have a repairman fix it. I agreed to this. Then LG transferred me to their parts and repair dept. The person in parts and repair said it couldnt be repaired, because it was not installed yet, even though it is just the oven door. At this point LG customer service number was closed for the day.December 16 - I called Home Depot service back first to get help. They personally called LG and had a ticket created in the LG system for replacement instead. They said in about three days I would get a call to schedule the new range delivery. December 21 - I hadnt heard from LG yet, so I called them. They said a manager there had cancelled my replacement ticket without calling me to let me know(!), because I had been issued a damages check, and I could no longer get a replacement. I explained that LG Parts and Service told me I could not have it repaired, because it wasnt installed. LG said they would send an independent technician out and they would decide whether it can be repaired without installation. December 26 - Technician is no call, no show.December 27 - Technician comes out, tells me LG will probably just issue a replacement, he has to submit a claim. He will call me in about 3 hours with an answer. I dont know what this means for the damages check they were going to issue? December 29 - I start calling the repair company back for an answer. I talk to someone there 1-2 times a day thereafter, each time they say they dont have an answer, but will in a few hours. January 5 - I give up, the appliance repair service isnt calling me back. I call LG, say I dont think a claim was ever submitted on the oven door. The notes in the system at LG now seem to indicate I was in the process of a replacement, rather than repair? NOW, three weeks later, they say a replacement *can* be done (I am not confident I will receive the damages check anyhow). I am fed up, I tell them I want that damages check at this point, so they will have to find another company to repair it.They transferred me to LG parts and service. I asked parts and service if they can simply send me a new oven door, and I will send the old door back? There are two metal clips that hold the door on, you just flip them up and slide it out, I believe its designed this way so you can take the door off to clean it. They will not let me handle this. I am given the name and number for a new repair company, and told they will be in contact with me ASAP. The new repair company hasnt contacted me yet, and isnt answering their phone right now. Both repair companies have very low ratings online, complaints through the BBB as well - though with something this simple, I dont really care - as long as they can repair it quickly. That doesnt appear to be a possibility. The LG repair and service escalated my request, which was supposed to lead to a callback from an executive team within 48 hours. They never called back.January 8 - The Twitter account for LG helps me in a direct message, which was more effective than any phone call I placed. They arranged an LG employee technician in my area to repair the oven door. The Twitter account person said it was requested the parts be pre-ordered, repair date is January 15. January 14 - I installed the oven in preparation for arrival of my new oven door parts. January 15 - The LG technician calls and says we have to reschedule because of a back injury. 1/19 was my new date he gave me... But then I asked if he pre-ordered parts. They were not pre-ordered. The technician checked stock in your system for the door glass. There is no stock available on the door glass, he doesnt know if there WILL be stock on the door glass in the near future, but he has put the order in now. He said to check back in two days for a status whether there will be glass.I made a big mistake installing the oven beforehand. I followed up with the Twitter account person, who was helpful again, but said the system indicates he has not ordered the glass yet. January 17 - The second outside repair shop, which I never was able to get ahold of, showed up at my house while no one was home, called me and said they were there to fix the range! They said LG (India call center, parts and repair) set up the appointment date and time. No one from LG called me about there being an appointment scheduled. I told them I have a factory tech already scheduled, they didnt have parts to fix it anyways.January 19 - When I check the online status, the technician still has me listed as a scheduled repair today. However, the status of the parts are still back ordered days later. How are there not parts available? 5 weeks as of today. Update: spoke to tech, parts are back ordered until at least the end of February. If the parts and service had told me this 5 weeks ago, the first time I spoke with them, I wouldve demanded a new oven. I assume I will be able to get a new oven, has not happened yet though.

LG Fridge model #LMXS2762S/00 purchased from Best Buy. $1700 down the drain delivered on Nov 8, 2015 started with the ice machine then the freezer then the fridge. I lost approximately $800 in groceries and have been calling and complain for weeks. Keep in mind I have children and have been having to feed them crap or forced to go to the store load them up every day in order to eat healthy. They have sent a guy out a few times and still nothing is getting fixed. I have seen lot of bad reviews and am suggesting a class action lawsuit again like the one that started against them in 2012. If you would like to join against them please let me know by emailing **. Lets hold them responsible for their faulty products. Now they are saying they cant have someone out until the 8th of March and it broke on the day before the Super Bowl.

I bought an LG front load washer and dryer set in 2009, its now 2 years later and guess what? My washing machine is very load during the spin cycle and it wont even spin unless its a small load. It shakes like crazy! It also constantly smells like mold. It does not spin all the water out. This has slowly gotten worse since the day it was new. Never stays level! Now for the dryer. It constantly has to be cleaned out because it gets plugged with lint. Also, it makes a loud thumping noise. I bought the set from home depot. They wont help. Ive complained to LG who either gives you the runaround or hangs up. For the 2000 dollars, I spent on the pair, what a crap! For the way they looked and were sold to me they should work great. I think these were designed and assembled by child labor. Can you please help me?

About every 5 or 6 loads, the OE message appears and no matter how many times its been cleaned, the same thing. Actually, as Im typing right now, I just heard the old faithful ding ding ding and looked over, only to find the OE blaring as usual. LG should recall these horrible machines. I also bought the dryer and lower drawers and have to run the dryer twice most times to get my clothes dry. The smell is horrible and my children have allergies. I think this machine may be making us sick.

Two weeks ago another company came out and replaced the compressor, it lasted two weeks. I lost most of the food in my freezer and now the refrigerator is holding a balmy 53 degrees. According to the USDA, food stores longer than two hours in temp over 43 should not be consumed. She was so happy I even bought the 400 dollar matching pedestals. They look beautiful to this day but they break a lot, cant go 6 months without a problem. Worst set I have ever owned. I wish I would have gone to Sears and got a basic top loader with proven track record. I know I could have bought 3 sets for the price of the LGs. Never again LG. Where is our great Consumer protection agency at? I could have bought her a nice car for the money I have spent keeping these two LGs running since 2006. When I wear my clothes they stink. At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a careful, truthful evaluation of my fancy still-under-warranty LG washer WM3875HVCA, which has had about seven or eight service visits. Both computer panels have been changed out; the water valve has been replaced; the door latch has been replaced; and still, the thing locks when I try to open the door post-cycle. Also, water continues to leak into the drawer serviced by the water valves, and the supposed anti-wrinkle option, which an LG representative told me directly on the phone is supposed to be constant for the eight hours as indicated, appears to do nothing. It is never on, whenever I check on it after a cycle.I had written a grammatically correct, no swear words, truthful review, and picked only two starts out of five. Would anyone like to guess how LG responded? They denied allowing my review to be published on their site, supposedly claiming it did not meet their guidelines. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. Indeed, the only reviews, which I read, on LGs site are all glowing about my washer. Ha.

Back in November 2006, my husband and I remodeled our kitchen. We purchased all LG products, refrigerator, dishwasher, electric range, and microwave oven. I have had issues with each appliance. The refrigerator, the ice machine broke and leaked ice water in the entire freezer section and kitchen floor. The microwave oven handle has cracked. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes, and the soap dispenser always has caked on soap residue. As of this date, I have not had an oven for over a month. The keypad panel stopped working, the wrong part arrived. I did contact LG and placed a formal complaint to the customer service representative, I have had no response. I will make sure that everyone that I come in contact with will know that LG products are not reliable and their parts are impossible to get.

Purchased an LG side by side refrigerator from Home Depot 3/2018 with a 5-yr protection plan. 7/2/2019 the ice dispenser wouldnt stop running after crushing ice. Couldnt get it to stop. Had to disconnect refrigerator while waiting for service. Called both LG & Home Depot to report the problem. LG claimed the repair service was scheduled for July 4th which I questioned because it is a Holiday. Called again next day 7/3 to be sure and was told it was scheduled for 7/4 between noon & 5:00pm waiting for ordered part. I asked about ordering a part if no one was out yet to see what the problem was. No one came. Repair company (very rude) said they werent scheduled until 7/11. Bought this washer in August 2014. Within 18 months, the washer started throwing constant error codes. After trying for 6 months to fix the washer using steps outlined by LG, the problem has only gotten worse. LG offered to send a repair service out to fix the washer for nearly $500, which is almost as much as the washer cost. When I mentioned that the problem seems widespread online and that LG was offering no-cost service calls to others experiencing the same problem (it appears to be a consistent and easy fix of replacing the board and stator), they refused to offer the same service and insisted the repair would include a hefty fee. I would rather spend my money on a brand that stands by its products.

My refrigerator is 6 months old. The Ice Maker at 2 months old started to produce metal/oil tasting ice. I cleaned out the ice bin... solved nothing. Added baking soda as suggested by tech support... it solved nothing. Water coming from the dispenser tastes fine, so obviously, somewhere in the Ice Maker unit, its getting tainted.Basically, after 6 months (still under warranty) they refuse to send anyone to fix the stupid thing unless I agree to pay for the tech out of my own pocket because he found nothing wrong with the fridge despite he agreed the ice tastes like metal. I should have sent the entire unit back when I had it the first week and had to call for service... that issue was someone at the factory didnt plug in the compressor power cable. Called LG. Was told I was using wrong detergent and needed to add a booster. That made no difference in the cleaning. After 4 service calls, replacing the sump motor and the main board, it still does not clean the dishes. LG corporate customer service says that it works and that the problem is that I have hard water (never mind that my 13-yr-old Maytag cleaned my dishes). Stated there was nothing else they could do and maybe I should consider getting a water softener. Will never buy another LG product.

LG Top Loader WA48J7700A - I purchased this washer last month and hate this machine! Not only does it not fill with enough water to cover the clothes, it doesnt even put enough water in to get all the clothes wet! When I look at the little bit of water that IS in the machine, it is dirty. I wondered, how does the little agitation in this dirty water get the clothes clean?? Oh! It doesnt! Today I am done! I am looking at a white shirt that is dirtier than when it was put in the washer (yes it was a light color load). I have noticed this before, along with dry spots on clothes after being washed! There is also often white streaks (detergent residue?) left on dark clothes. After reading other reviews that sound JUST LIKE MINE, I realize this is an ongoing problem (perhaps with all these energy efficient top loaders this is an issue?) I had a front loader prior to this machine and it too used little water but more than this does! And, the way a front loader works, the clothes were always moving unlike this machine where they almost stay put! On the phone right now with Home Depot to get this lousy machine out of my life!!! Im going back to a good old fashioned top loader that fills with water and washes the clothes!!!

I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

I spent two ** days trying to find out what the codes from my LG LMX28988st refrigerator were trying to say. This fridge I bought From Sears for $2500 3 years ago stopped being cold. I called LG & Sears tech support asking for a service manual, both were less than helpful. I finally found a service manual on a blog link, it was so easy to find out the blinking code said the circuit board and the compressor needed replaced on my 3 year old fridge. (My parents fridge is over 20 yrs old still works.) So I guess dont buy LG or from Sears. I’m ** I wasted all that time talking to useless customer service and getting ** by them without any help.

I bought an LG smart inverter refrigerator 2 years ago, about a year ago the ice maker started making the ice taste disgusting so we stopped using it, around 2 or 3 months ago we started smelling something like a sweet chemical almost like antifreeze, everything that comes out of my refrigerator now tastes like chemicals, we haven’t enjoyed a meal in weeks and my kids have damned near stopped eating altogether. I have a technician coming out next week and I sure hope this is rectified.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

We have been buying fast food. I had just spent $400 on groceries when it broke! No one at Lowes ever told me there was no one in my area that would be able to service this fridge! We bought all brand new top of line LG appliances...refrigerator alone well over 2,000.00 in Fall 2017. Loved the new appliances but in Fall 2019 a compressor went out in the refrigerator. Yes, LG covered the replacement and repair but what they don’t want to tell you is the refrigerator will never run quiet again. We have had to call the tech back three times to come look at it because it runs so loud. We bought the product because it was super quiet and our kitchen is close to our family room and bedroom. It will wake you up at night. It runs with vibrating noises, humming, etc and LG’s fix is sending an email with acceptable refrigerator noises. What a joke.I told them if it would have ran like this when I originally purchased it would have been taken back in the first 30 days. The tech comes and states it’s a little louder than normal but not a single thing is being done. The tech calling LG while he was here was a joke too...all they could say to do is take off some clips to see if vibrating stopped...guess what?!?! It didn’t and it is still loud as ever. I will never buy another LG product and would never recommend.

LG makes great products that are reliable and very durable. They have a great reputation and an amazing staff. Their products allow me to be flexible in what I can do in the kitchen and how I can get it done. The fridge had a sleek anime with a great water filter built into the refrigerator and a multiple setting temperature gauge. The refrigerator also had a great ice maker that allowed us to be flexible. With current technology I would make a self cleaning product in the fridge. I would also make the ice maker larger and more compatible.

A few years ago I purchased new appliances. A refrigerator, stove and over the range microwave. I had an appliance technician that LG had the fewest repair calls so I went with that company when purchasing. Well in the first year the microwave had to be repaired. The glass stop stove after a year and a half has 2 burners not working and now my refrigerator decided to stop working during the worst time possible. I called the warranty company and because of the pandemic they are not doing any house repairs. I was told to think out of the box or go buy a new one. Now I do have an old refrigerator in the garage but with 8 people living in my home that is not enough room, especially when we need to stock up so we dont go out as often. So for now I am SOL until the virus is over and repair people can start working again. I will NEVER BUY LG appliances again and tell all of our friends the same thing.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. My wife and I purchased an LG gas range (model LRG3081ST) and found that it overcooked food. When testing I found the range overheats during the pre-heat cycle. After setting the bake temperature you can watch the thermometer increase by 5 degrees every 6 to 7 seconds. When the thermometer reaches 5 degrees below the set temperature, it stays with that display for about 2 minutes while the oven continues to heat. When the pre-heat notification sounds, the pre-heat temperature is about 100 degrees above the set temperature.I opened a case with LG and they sent a repair tech to look at the oven. The tech confirmed the issue and tried to order a replacement control board. LG told him that was the way the oven is supposed to work and wouldnt allow him to order the new board. Ive now submitted a customer complaint but dont have any idea if anyone will make any changes. I cant imagine LG would actually design an oven that is supposed to overheat by 100 degrees. Our current resolution is to set the bake temperature, go through the pre-heat cycle, let the oven stand until it relights to maintain the set bake temperature, and then put the food in the oven. This isnt acceptable.

LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts of clothes in the washer. This is the only good thing. The BAD - no matter whether you wash one thing or a giant load, it will wash and wash and wash because the load becomes uneven and it is trying to even out the load. Eventually, almost every load, you will have to stand over the load to keep re-positioning the load manually until it finishes washing. If you have time to spend at least 20 minutes watching and monitoring almost every load so you can make it even, then this washer is for you.

We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from LG products. I purchased an LG Dryer and have had nothing but problems with the lint catcher/ filter ruining my clothes. The lint catcher does not sit flush and it will shred clothing when clothing gets caught on it during the drying cycle. As the dryer spins, the clothing catches on the filter and continues to twist creating a clothing tornado that tears and shreds clothing with the continuous spinning of the dryer.I have contacted LG on this and despite having a warranty and in addition, an extended warranty, LG states that they dont cover this issue and that I have to pay out of my own pocket for their design defects??? LG also told me that this was the first they heard of such a problem with their dryers and that I was the first person to contact them?? This is clearly a design defect that LG IS Aware of and has been for years - yet they do nothing and do not fix the problem or stand by their customer by their replacing the defective part. Although the purpose of a washing machine is to clean clothes, my LG front-loading machine washing machine makes my clothes and bedding dirty, covering them with disgusting dark brown or blackish stains!!! This happens in spite of my doing everything I can to keep the tub and door clean: regularly washing the tub using the tub-clean cycle with appropriate cleaners, always leaving the door and dispenser drawer open, draining and cleaning the pump filter (although this always entails water all over my floor since the drain is much too low to put an adequate container underneath to catch all the water)... Its no use! I could even live with the machines constant struggles to be balanced enough to do a proper spin, but this dirtying of what Im expecting to get clean is just too much. I would give this product 0 stars if that were an option. I purchased this appliance 4 years ago and while it looks great, it has been nothing but trouble. We first had an issue about 2 years after purchase - it stopped cooling in the freezer. We lost quite a bit of food but the repair was covered by the warranty. Now 2 years later, the same thing has happened except now it is both the freezer and refrigerator that will not cool. I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and have to take time off from work to wait for the repairman. And to top it off, LG customer service is terrible. I spent nearly an hour on the phone scheduling an appointment, only to have them reschedule for a day later. I am furious. Bought a brand new stacking washer/ dryer set in March of 2018. Loved the features and functions, and it ran smooth and quiet. By January 2019, the door hinge had seized, and we noticed dried soapy residue under the left side of the machine. Had to argue with LG to replace hinge under warranty, and they tried to charge me to un-stack the unit. The tech said that we should be more careful loading soap into the tray, and that dripping soap gets on the hinges and eats the metal. Seems like a pretty big problem for a washing machine where the dispenser tray is right above the door hinge.By April, the latch had also failed, but was out of warranty. Fortunately I had purchased an extended warranty. They also tried to hit me for $150 to un-stack the unit. Now here we are in June 2019, with a seized hinge again! Door wont fully open or close, and now the door leaks when a cycle is run. However, the unit is also leaking from inside the soap apparatus somewhere inside the machine. The entire leg, face plate, and the inside of the machine is rusting below the soap tray. This probably caused the first hinge issue.Warranty company says it is a pre-existing condition and will not cover corrosion and rust related issues as that should be by the manufacturer. LG says its not their problem, and only offer a 90 day warranty on first hinge replacement, which is expired. I am now on the hook for the entire repair, which is yet to be determined (since I have to pay for someone to even come out and tell me what is wrong). Not even a year into it, and this thing is a piece of garbage. With the two units, tax, delivery, installation, extended warranty, new floor pan, etc., I spent $2000.00 on this set, and all of that is completely worthless when you have a problem with it.

I chose LG because of the price and because it was a brand that I knew so thought I wouldnt be disappointed and they were offering delivery which was a plus. The room it provided I could fit a lot of stuff in there and the freezer was also very roomy which is rare unless its the fridge area is smaller which we buy more freezer food the fridge so it was a good thing. But the refrigerator opened a weird way to where it blocked a entry way and didnt fit into the spot originally provided because it was too tall but late at night it would make this noise which was weird. I feel it should have been quieter.

Refrigerator Envy: that’s what our friends said when they saw our new LG
Refrigerator Envy: that’s what our friends said when they saw our new LG refrigerator. NO MORE! Problems began the first year, and five years and many repairs later – most we paid for; LG covered a few – the problems have simply worsened. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food waste, spent over $800 in “repairs”, and endured countless inconveniences as a result of food freezing in the refrigerator. We now keep fruits and vegetables in our sixteen year-old garage Whirlpool. The design flaw, we’ve been informed, is known by LG and has been addressed in their newer models. Most recently, beginning 8/1/2019, our numerous emails to LG’s escalation team and to their VP of Customer Service have had no reply whatsoever. LG is unwilling and/or unable to follow up on their promises or our correspondence. We wonder if another “private message” would likewise be ignored. We have lost respect for LG. We would neither consider nor recommend the purchase of an LG product to anyone.

Like many of the other reviews I have issues with constant unbalanced load errors even when the washer is a 1/3 full. Have never successfully completed a bedding wash cycle. Takes 3.5 hours per load. I purchased Stove LRG30357ST and called about a problem with what seems to be stainless steel knob controls that melted off. Turns out, the knobs are plastic with some type of foil around them. They want 70 dollars each to replace and there are five knobs. We will buy a new stove before we pay 350 to replace knobs with cheaper knobs.Second problem has happened three times in the past two years and 11 months. Somehow, the knob gets turned in the on position either by accidentally knocking it or maybe the knob fully turning the burner into a safe position. We were thinking maybe our body was hitting it when using the above microwave or simply not turning off all the way. Normally, they make a clicking sound when its calling for gas and not lighting. We shook it off as a freak accident the first time. The second time really got our attention and we gave the kids a lesson on what was going on. The third time, we both were working and the kids microwaved some popcorn and must have bumped one of the burners. We have no idea how they could not have smelt the gas odor but it was so scary that we made another call to LG. We hope to here back since we have no choice but to get a safer stove.

My kitchen has other LG appliances & we have been happy with all of them, it had great features & the price was right plus they delivered it and hauled the old one away. I like the accessibly of water filter, sturdy solid shelves, indoor ice maker, quiet and efficient, looks amazing in the kitchen. When we moved, the buyers paid extra to keep it. I would love a freezer at bottom rather than side by side, would have liked it to be a bit larger but our space wouldnt allow it, would have liked it to come with stainless hoses for the icemaker.

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

I like the freezer, fridge, multiple shelves, the shelves slide out to be cleaned and so do the drawers. There are four drawers including a cheese drawer specifically. I would put an ice maker in it. Also I would put a smart system into it to tell you when youve left the fridge open or tell you when its not working correctly and I would include freezer trays with purchase and water filter along with a digital thermostat. It has met expectations. I was very happy with value and price overall. This fridge is amazing and meets all my needs and or wants but if I had to choose one additional brand over LG itd be Samsung for sure.

I called customer service at LG. A woman helped me with the issue. She repeated what I told her in her own words. There were no problems understanding each other. She told me a technician would be calling me to set up an appointment. About one hour later a man from some company called me and wanted to know what the problem is. The young woman had told me she would explain to the technician. Anyway I explained it all again. He said This is the problem and started to repeat what I said EXCEPT he wasnt saying what I had the said. I tried three more times to explain the problem. He got angry (actually he wasnt happy when he called), he got me upset as I tried four times to explain the problem. I suggested we make an appointment… he said NO. I dont come out until I understand the problem. He said I will look at the manual and call you back. He did that… Lo and behold he STILL DID NOT UNDERSTAND. I then called LG back. The man (sounded like he was in India) said You have an appointment on the 8th of May. I told I knew nothing about an appointment. He said May I call the person that called you. I said Fine. Have not heard back. A few days ago my older son was at my house. He said Mom, be careful. I was turning on one of the front burners. He must have noticed the large flame. I never told either of my sons about the fact that my clothes have been singed when turning on the front burners. Just let something happen in my kitchen because of the stove and you know who will be sued big time...

We bought our LG washing machine in May of 2014. It has never worked right from the beginning. I would have to watch it closely to restart it when it would go into the IE mode. I would have to press the start button twice to get it to resume washing. I had a tech come out to my house today to check it and he said the computer board needed replaced at the amount of $350.00. I told him I would rather buy a new machine instead of fixing it because it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. He also said he has fixed many with the same or similar problem. Ill never buy another one.

I chose LG because it was the best deal for the space I needed. I like the color and the double doors so I picked it up on sale. It looked nice in my kitchen. But the drawers could have been better constructed and better made. I was sometimes worried about the efficiency but I guess it never made the electric too high! The freezer could have been bigger but I might have just needed a second one. It worked for me while I was in that house. I liked the ice dispenser and the double doors had plenty of storage. It was always cold when I needed it to be. The ice was well formed and good shaped. The color was pretty and kept clean well.

Customer service explained that the inside plastic shell is not a replaceable part and it can only be repaired. Ive never seen anything like this on a refrigerator. I own a multifamily home. I have (2) other brand refrigerators that have never been serviced and are both about 15 years old. Stay away from LG!

I purchased a Blast Chill LG refrigerator/freezer in March 2013, paid $3,70
I purchased a Blast Chill LG refrigerator/freezer in March 2013, paid $3,700 for it. Of course the warranty has expired. A week ago, my ice maker stopped working & the refrigerator started freezing my produce. I called LG & was told to adjust the settings. The ice maker still did not work but the freezing stopped. Over the weekend (on a Saturday), my refrigerator was not cooling properly & the food in the top drawer of the freezer was melting. I called LG repair & was told that someone would come to my home on Monday between 1-5 pm but would call with a 2 hour window. They assured me that they had diagnosed the problem (my refrigerator has a system that they can use to diagnose using my cell phone). They assured me that the repairman would have all the parts with him and the cost would be $225 flat rate for parts and service. At 3:34 pm, I called LG to let them know I had not heard from anyone and they told me that they would text their repairman. An hour later, I still had not heard & called back. They again texted the repairman. Within 5 minutes, I received a call & was told that he was 20 minutes from my home. The repairman arrived and spent less than 10 minutes, all the while speaking to someone on the phone who was directing him on the review of the refrigerator. He told me that he had to order a part, a Grill Fan Assembly, and that he did not have the part available on the truck. He told me that the customer service operators were overseas and had no idea what they were doing. He told me he would squeeze me in the following day for the repair between 1-5 pm.At 3:45 pm, I sent him a text using the number he called me with the day before. No callback. I texted the number again at 4:45 pm. No return. I called LG who told me they would text him. I got a call within 5 minutes & the tech told me he would be at my home in 18 minutes. He arrived and changed the Grill Fan Assembly (while in and out of his truck talking on the phone) and left about 6:30 pm telling me that the refrigerator should start cooling. Needless to say, I woke up this morning and the food in the freezer is all defrosted, and the refrigerator/freezer is warmer today than yesterday, and the defrosted food is leaking all over the floor.I called LG repair this morning & spoke to someone in India (same as the first two times I called), who told me that the best they could do would be to send someone out on Friday or Saturday, 3 days from now. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that no one was available & that I could check the website for new available times for repair. I have now called a local repair tech and they have assured me that they will be out this morning to assist me with this problem. I would rather pay more to have the problem fixed correctly than to deal with LG. My entire kitchen is KitchenAid except for the refrigerator, I liked the LG better when I was looking for new appliances. WHAT A MISTAKE!

The large LG refrigerator is simply terrific! It has 2 freezer drawers on the bottom and a really large refrigerator section with a giant pizza-width meat drawer. We chose the stainless steel finish and, admittedly, it is hard to clean but looks so nice when you polish it. The top double doors have just the right storage on the inside. The 3 fruit/veg. containers are nice and big. In the freezer I have unplugged the ice maker, because it took up too much room and simply leave an ice tray across one side of the top section divider. It allows for sections of food to be stored without being in a jumble. It is a very large and tall fridge and I didnt mind doing without the cupboard section that usually is hung above. I found 3 woven baskets that simply sit on top and look very nice there.

I bought this refrigerator in Sept. 2012. January 2013 I experienced the 1F error message. LG had a tech come out and replace the computer board and the fan. January 2014 same thing happened. They replaced the control board and the fan (the original fan was recalled so a newer fan was put in place). January 2015 freezer frosting up again causing the fan to run all the time. LG says it’s out of warranty however it is the control board that is broke again. They sent a tech out that would not open the door until I gave them a check for $60.00. Then they tell me that LG is just refurbishing the old boards and sending them back to be put back in the refrigerator. They tell me they want $308.00 to replace and that I have to give them $150.00 before they would order. I can’t afford that. This should be LG replacing this as this part is defective and they continue to put defective parts back into the refrigerator and charge the consumer. All I want is a working refrigerator. I will never buy an LG product again. They are deceptive and should be recalling these control boards and replacing them with working boards.

Love the sensors that are inside to control the cooking of the unit, great for popcorn and re-heating. This microwave has the ability of re-heating a cup of coffee without giving it that burnt taste. We especially like the increased capacity of the inside of the oven itself, and like the way it fits under the cabinet over the stove and is vented to the outside.

Our 6 yr old fridge went out due to a power glitch. We called in an appliance repair service since the fridge was out of warranty. When they came to fix it the part was wrong. The most awesome refrigerator ever. I like the side by design. The look is very clean and attractive. It is great to have ice and not need to fill an ice tray. The slim style holds a lot of food like to get water from the door. This makes me thing to drink more water every time I pass by. The last several refrigerators ended with a wet mess on the food or frozen drinks. This fridge has done none of that. I like the organization of the food. There is ample room for all the items include milk in the door. We purchased the fridge because of the inner volume.

Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion
Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion sent another repair company over. The repairman walked into the house and said I know what the problem is already as he heard the compressor groaning in the kitchen. After conferring with his boss over the phone, I was informed that they no longer will do repairs on LG products because LG does not pay their invoice. So not only does Home Depot continue to sell this junk, but the repair shops that would handle the extended warranty repairs will not work on LG. A couple of weeks later, Asurion (out of the blue) called and said that a reimbursement check was being sent. Could that be due to the class action lawsuit recently filed nationwide against LG?? So we got the check, disposed of the LG, and bought a KitchenAid that sits quietly in the kitchen, keeping things cool and keeping us composed. OH, and never a word from LG through any of this business.Original Review: Two Compressors in Two Months...LG is junk: We purchased this LG from Home Depot in December of 2016. It had great features, was very attractive, and large capacity. In November, 2017 we returned home to find the kitchen flooded and the fridge was warm. We called the Home Depot warranty company and a repairman came out two days later. They didnt have local repairmen so he came from 60 miles away btw. He said it was the compressor and he said he replaces LG compressors on a regular basis. Ultimately it took him 3 weeks to obtain one due to LG being out of stock on compressors. He installed it and the warranty company gave us a food reimbursement check. Two days later, the same thing happened! Spoiled food. Flood. Repairman showed up again and repeated the slow ordering process. Home Depot sent over a small dorm fridge just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the compressor is again making noises. LG is totally unresponsive to this; they would rather the repairmen make the repairs for them, that they are too cheap to do upon manufacture.

Love my big LG with the freezer in the pullout bottom door. Very handy but it can be troublesome. I dont use the ice maker so I know that’s not the problem. If someone doesnt entirely close the freezer door, frost forms quickly. Once closed, defrosting builds up ice in the bottom and the door becomes almost impossible to close properly and water drips onto the floor in front. The solution is fairly easy. Take out the freezer basket from the main drawer and unplug the fridge. Within about 15 minutes you can pry up at the corner of the ice chunk and lift it out in one big chunk. Put the stuff back together and make sure the door seals properly. Turn it back on and put a note on the door to make sure people close it properly after use.

This design of this dishwasher is a nightmare. Ive actually read the manual on how to load this dishwasher thinking maybe I was doing something wrong. There is nowhere in the dishwasher where plates stand up. The tines are awkwardly placed, and continually fall down, so maybe a few bowls can go in, but they land flat on their back, pointing up when tines collapse (not exactly conducive to cleaning). Its as though the bottom rack is made to handle a couple of large pots and maybe two or three bowls. The top rack is also strangely designed and again has very little capacity to handle many dishes or glasses. When the bottom rack has dishes in it and I open it, the weight on the door causes the whole machine to start falling out of the wall. Ive probably owned ten dishwashers and can honestly state that I cant even rate this as working. Im literally having it replaced and throwing it away if I cant get Home Depot to take it back... Its less than a month old but I just cannot stand it. Ill pay twice for installation but it will be worth it because otherwise Ill be washing everything by hand. I also bought LG refrigerator and micro... nothing special about them, but I guess I should be grateful they work.

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.
