Bought LG fridge December 20, 2013... ice maker broke 2015. Now the fridge went Friday, December 13, 2019. Was told by lg customer service to take everything out fridge, defrost for 8 hours, wait 24 to 48 hours so fridge can get cold. Never happened. Did it again second day. Same thing. Not working, error code keeps coming on. They send tech. Charge us $125. Have to get fridge serviced. Another $324... Asked if they can expedite the shipping of motor fan whatever it’s called. Tech Ariel looked at my husband and I like we had two heads. He never tried to contact LG about expediting the part. We told tech we have to think about it. Maybe we should just buy another fridge. Tech was ok and left... like he didn’t care that we living out of two coolers. He Just said ok and left.We called LG about expediting the part again. They were like, We will see. We’ve been out of a fridge since Friday December 13, 2019, it’s Thursday December 19, 2019, LG calls us to tell us we might not get our shipment in till Saturday and maybe get our fridge fix Saturday. All our food has spoiled. No milk. The Christmas ham we bought spoiled as well as all the other good we had in fridge. About $300 in food we bought for Christmas Eve dinner. Let’s put it this way. LG doesn’t give a ** About their customers.

After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade
After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

Noticed rust around dispenser drawer and filter door. There has been no misuse or spillage, this seems to be happening due to over sloshing as dispenser is emptying during wash cycle. Also we saw on other reviews where this is happening to other washer brands as well and I would agree with one service man’s opinion that cutting corners on paint seems to be the problem as the paint is extremely thin on this machine. This is clearly obvious as the area where the problem occurred had to be sanded in order to stop the rust from running down the face of the machine and spreading rust all over my floor. I paid a huge amount of money for this machine and the matching dryer and pedestals when we remodeled our home, I wanted high-end look for the resale of our home. We have sold our home and personally I will not buy a new set for the home we are building even though I loved the performance of the machines, too bad they ruined their wonderful products by cutting corners on a simple thing like paint. News flash LG, a cheapskate in your company is going to ruin your product’s name! Shame on you for charging a high quality price for a great machine only just to ruin it and anger the consumers by screwing them over paint.

I will never...I repeat, NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought 2 years ago (Model WT4870C) has been nothing but a disappointment. To call it a piece of junk would be an insult to junk. And LG customer service is terrible! Dont think you will get any sympathy or help from the company. Theyve got your money, and thats all they care about. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. First of all, the area around the bleach dispenser rusted. Do you want rust on your clothes? Me either. Thats why I called customer service. Instead of agreement that rust in a washing machine is not acceptable, I was told, If liquid gets on the metal, it can rust. Really? Then why does it say to put liquid bleach there (in the dispenser!) if no liquid is supposed to touch it? And besides, in their opinion, the rust is a cosmetic issue. When I complained that rust can ruin clothes, they told me that I could send them my damaged clothes, and they would review them, and possibly issue some compensation FOR THE CLOTHES! Now, only 2 years into owning this washer, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! It was running when suddenly a terrible noise was heard coming from it (not the normal terrible noises it usually makes), and the tub could not stop. Natural frictional force caused it to finally come to a stop. But now it cannot spin at all. Even though the washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, that only covers the motor. And guess what: You have to pay for a technician to come out to determine whether it is the motor or not. So you are out a service charge no matter what! (Oh, and even if it is the motor, you still have to pay labor charges out of pocket.) (FYI: The photo attached shows the dispenser after I removed the plastic surround.)

Never again will I purchase a LG product. I purchased this washing machine August 2016. From day one I had a feeling my clothes were not coming clean. My husband works outside and sometimes have mud on his clothes. I pulled the clothes out the machine and was able to scrape the mud off with my fingernails. I have never experienced anything like this in my life with my old machines. My towels still have normal makeup stains on them. Im very disappointed. I have to wash the clothes twice each time before putting them in the dryer.

I bought an LG electric dryer from HH Gregg in November 2013. A month after, one of the cycles stopped working. I called LG many times. They did send out 4 repair men from 2 different companies who replaced various parts, but the issue persists. After the last repair man came out and was unable to do anything, I called LG again hoping theyd replace the unit. They said the repair man determined my dryer was working to specifications and they couldnt do anything further for me. The guy was literally there for 5 minutes! Not sure how he could determine anything - if he stayed through the cycle, hed see my clothes were coming out soaking wet even though I select very dry every time.I wrote to LG Executive Service through their Facebook page and they would also do nothing for me. I called HH Gregg several times and theyve told me they filed a report with their vendor relations but thus far no one has called me back. Im so angry that I spent $900 on a dryer that does not work properly and am even angrier that an LG rep at one point told me to just use a different cycle! Will never buy LG again.

The ice maker fail to produce ice just a few months after buying the refrigerator. Luckily it was under warranty and a technician came out a few days later and made a quick repair. I purchased the refrigerator in 2009, and I get things fails with age. But it is scary when start to find small and large pieces of plastic in your mouth after drinking a glass of your favorite drink. In fact I swallow a large piece and almost choke. This type of problem may cause serious injury or death to a small child and old person. Check your ice maker.

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

We purchased this LG stainless steel refrigerator Model # LRFD25850ST from Home Depot for $2400. Within the last 18 months we have had 3 service calls on a recurring problem. This morning the problem was back and now requires another service visit. The three prior ones cost about $600 altogether, so we are into this refrigerator for at least $3000 so far. I havent seen my problem on this blog. What happens is for some reason a sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. (Its a bottom freezer model). Anyway every single day of my life I have to crack up the ice with a wooden mallet, scrape it out of the freezer onto the floor & then clean that up. Its infuriating! Each time the tech comes out he defrosts some line & it starts working properly again. After the 1st repair visit, it worked for about 9 months. Then he came again & it worked for 2 months. Then he came again & replaced a little plastic tube & that has worked for 2 months. I really dont think a refrigerator should need to be serviced every 2 months! Before this, I had a GE fridge & it worked without a single problem for 17 years. We gave it to a family member when we got this LG & it has been working for them flawlessly since. That’s 21 years without a problem. Trying to deal with LG customer service is a joke. They couldnt care less & their only recourse is to remind you that your fridge is out of warranty. Plus like others have said, its really difficult to even find someone to service the thing. We dont live in the sticks but a major metropolitan area. We are going to cut our losses & buy a new fridge, but it is definitely not going to be an LG. I will never buy another LG product! Are there any appliances still made in the US? Thats my next quest. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with both the quality of the product & the total worthlessness of customer service as LG has exhibited.

WT5001Cw washer purchased on 3/17/12 from Sears. Contacted Sears within 1st year to say washer would not dispense hot water. Sent tech out and was told LG said working according to specs. Tech told me to purchase extended warranty so machine would have to be replaced if 4 service calls were made in 1st year for same problem. I did that and then Sears said it didnt apply because LG said working according to specs. After Sears sent 4 technicians out over a period of 1 1/2 years and after the 1st year manufacturer warranty ran out, I was told that nothing could be done.My argument is: I should have been told at purchase or stated in the manual that the machine would not dispense water above 98 degrees, even though it had a hot water selection on it. 98 degrees scientifically is considered lukewarm and the machine will not go above 98 degrees which prohibits me from killing microorganisms in bed linens and bacteria in reusable baby diapers. Sears would not help me and referred me to LG. LG said they cant do anything because the machine is past the 1st year warranty, even though I contacted Sears, who contacted LG within that 1st year. Sears continued to send technicians out with non-workable ideas to get hot water when the bottom line was, it is impossible to get hot water. The machine mixes cold water even when the setting is on hot. I have written to Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and LG corporate office and received responses Sorry but we cant help you with this problem.

LG REFRIGERATOR LMXS30776 - Back again...after 1 month of compressor being replaced, after a month to obtain part, now there are leaks in the coils. At what point should this piece of metal be replaced! Paid $3,000.00 for this item and have only had 2 years. Trying to get it repaired with the extended warranty cost me missed work and money, food and money to eat out until repaired. 1 month later I am back at square one. I did not like it because it had too many king some problems thermostat one keep it cool all the time. I have only owned this LG for a couple years. I wish I had realized this before I made such a major purchase. Please note: My LG refrigerator Model LFX 25978ST/00 stopped working - first ice machine failed, then it broke and is not dispensing ice, then freezer and then finally entire fridge - lost all my food. Called an appliance repair and they charge you to look and then they take their sweet time to fix. Last time it took 1 month, this time 3 weeks before he can come and look. They are the worst service centers. Last year it was conclusion was the compressor was also failed. LG guarantees its compressor for 10 years, BUT, only deals with certain repair centers, so I was already out $200 and needed to call one of only two LG-affiliated centers in my area. One quoted me 500 for labor. Scheduling the repair could take up to 2-3 weeks. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. I purchased a LG refrigerator and I am going to make it my life project to talk bad about service and this product. I am so shocked that this broke down two time in less than a year. Nobody wants to repair it. They all say LG is bad product in Fridge. I have kids and NO FRIDGE. I thought LG was one of the best, but NOW I AM do not think so. Repair people are not outstanding service providers and they dont do a great job as far as I can see. Model: LFX25976 ST/00, serial: 011KREL00716, compressor is the problem.

LG here you go. I will give credit where credit is due. I have owned an LG washer and dryer front loader for 11 years now. No repair issues as of yet. Only one complaint is the dryer lint filter. I do agree probably a design flaw. It grabs my clothes and snake rolls them. So I did order a new filter and will see how that fixes the issue. I only have one thing to say to those that are furious about your machines. The technology in the digital control panel is crazy. We are not playing with 3-4 dials with resistors to control them (very reliable). If you want to use 50 gallons of water to wash your clothes then buy a basic top loader. By the way enjoy spending 3 times as long doing it. I have the 4.5 cu. ft. washer and enjoy the fact I can wash 15 large towels in it at one shot and dry them usually in 1 auto setting on the dryer. Lastly you can only heat up and cool off a dryer element so many times before it craps out. Like a hair dryer. Most people are angry when writing their review, and some I may understand your frustration. The warranty cant be any more obvious 1 yr parts and labor. Buy an extended warranty if you want more warranty, but they are usually a ripoff. I love my LG and wouldnt swap it for a made in Mexico Whirlpool or Maytag.

I thought I was getting a good deal on a 3 year old machine (WT5001CW)... But now realize why it was so cheap. It wont complete any load w/o you having to manually balance the load - possibly multiple times. If you dont babysit the machine it will try??! Every single load ends with uE. Small load, big load, socks only, towels only, jeans only - none will spin!! The only thing this does well is knot tying - all your kids jeans/Stretchy pant will end up in one giant knot! Lg seriously needs to release a fix or recall all of these machines as they dont do the only job they have. Im going to burn the ** out of this machine and post it to youtube!! Ill get a million hits. These things are so broken and hated!!! My wife used to like LG, we have LG phone, TV, stereo headphones - but Im not letting her buy another friggin thing that has LG on it since they refuse to acknowledge the absolute failure of their top load washers!!!

In 2018, were looking at a new washer/dryer combination and a new TV and you can bet that its not going to be LG.

Ive purchased many LG appliances over the years and have had good experiences. Last year I purchased an LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST french door model. A month or so after the 1 year warranty expired, the handle on the crisper broke in my hand. After calling customer service and describing my issue, I was told to go buy the replacement and that was that. Last year I spent over $10K in LG products and getting that response totally blew my mind. I spoke with a customer service rep who was totally polite and helpful but couldnt resolve my problem. He referred me to Brenda, his Supervisor. Brenda was the most arrogant, useless individual I have ever encountered. She told me to write a letter to the complaint department. She was able to recite the address very quickly. That may give anyone a clue! Dont buy their products.

We have an LG refrigerator that is 2 years old. The ice maker stopped working in early April 2020. The compressor & fridge cooling ability stopped on 4/24. We have received nothing but the runaround. 1 certified repair place did a COVID diagnosis by phone & confirmed that it was the compressor, but said they would not come out until I had approval codes directly from LG. Jumped thru lots of good including uploading receipts to prove purchase date, amount paid, etc. Waited 12 days for the only repair service for warranty work & the guy showed up in my home with my elderly Mother & my Grandson with no mask or gloves for COVID precautions & did diagnosis only to confirm what our approval codes said. But, he doesnt travel with parts. Ordered them expedited to ship to our house & he said to call 800# if they came in early as first open appointment was another 11 days away. They came the next day, but when I called they said I had earliest time already. 2 days before the appointment, I got a text notifying me that I had a new appointment on 6/3 instead of 5/16. Avoid A&E (Sears). They have no help. Supervisors have been supposedly expedited to try a return at Best Buy, but thats been 2+ weeks. Do not Buy or Settle for a replacement LG product. They should be out of business. Selling & repairing known & continuing Compressor issues. Join the class action suit.

I am hoping that once I have it placed back in my kitchen that it will be in service for years to come, as I really do like this refrigerator. Thank you LG for investing your time and renewing my trust.

Our washer and dryer are labeled Kenmore but are actually made by LG, they both function perfectly, wash and dry great, no problems in the 3 years we have had them, look nice also. Cycles are pre programmed for a variety of types of materials and are customizable within types. The washer has a cleaning process which is a bit inconvenient but just requires a little time to accomplish, overall we like the machines and would buy again.

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

We purchased an LG door in door refrigerator, spent a lot of money! We havent had it for a year yet and we noticed a defect on the finish of the stainless on the control panel cover... its like corrosion... I had been contacting customer service for one month!!! I know this is cosmetic and would Not be covered under warranty. We were assigned a service center... and a tech came to our home and confirmed that it was a defect. And Would not be covered but that he had seen this before.I again contacted LG thinking they would stand behind there product. After being disconnected 4 times I finally talked to a Dahl she said she would send approval for replacement to the same service CO. I had come out... after 10 days and no contact, I started to contact all services involved. Basically I had been straight up lied to!! They never sent approval... denied that they had and said they WOULD NOT!!! This appliance is not even a year old. We spent $3100.00 on it and they wont stand behind a defective finish!! We are soooo disappointed I cant even say. So we have a huge under one year old item that looks like crap in my new kitchen!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND LG TO ANYONE.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Im helpful and frankly speaking a bunch of liars... 9 phone calls, hours of my time being disconnected for zero end result!!! Warning, unless you want an expensive piece of JUNK in youre kitchen... do not purchase an LG refrigerator!!!

This dishwasher was bought April 2013 and since we got it, it has smelled. First like something burning then like garage and it still continues to this day. Service men tried to tell us that it was just new, then to use vinegar and open the door when finishing a load. It still smells and we are so sorry we bought the three LG products. Fridge, washer and dishwasher. On the cup I rubbed my thumb and you can see how easy the stain comes off. The bowl needed a little more effort, but it cant clean fresh chocolate pudding from a dish. The washer has a gap where it makes the cloths move that is too big and coins get caught and rips the cloths.

When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

In January of 2016 I took delivery of a set of LG Black Stainless Kitchen appliances from Lowes. I purchased stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. They were very expensive and what I consider to be high end in terms of models. Within a short time, I began to notice the refrigerator scratched at the drop of a hat. This was not my experience with prior stainless appliances. I learned the black stainless just has a black film on it and it is not the true color of the stainless.Just 2 years later, I am seeing the black coating or film peel away from the handles on my dishwasher. Just having a ring on and opening the door to the fridge is leaving scratches. Plus spots of where the film is wearing off are on the front of the fridge and at the edges of the door. The film near the handles on the dishwasher is peeling away. I called LG and they could care less. Since it is more than one year old, too bad for the consumer. There is no product on the market to try and at least cover the appearance of this faulty coating. So, just 2 years and over $7000 later I am stuck with products that are obviously defective in terms of the finish. I will NEVER do business with LG again since they gave me a defective product and will not stand behind what they sell the consumer. I have seen other negative reviews about this same issue. There should be a class action against this company for this product.

Took me 6 hours to wash 5 towels the other day, finally had to stop the washer hand wring out my towels, just to get the load done so I could wash more clothes. When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled? Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing? With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

LG gave an approval authorization for an LG tech to come out since the issues related to the recent software update and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Robert the tech was punctural and very receptive to my issues. He was able to punch out my dented front exterior and the rotor and stator was replaced with brand new ones. So far I have done 4 loads of wash and the machine performs as new! Lesson learned- always request an LG Tech when your seeking service. I dont think Sears, Home Depot , Lowes or HH Gregg should be blamed for any mechanical issues. The only thing these distributors are guilty of is having the latest and greatest appliances for sale. My next washer purchase will not be an HE though. They sent me the # for the 1 and only place that handles their repairs within 60 miles of me. I called them and they didnt even want to deal with my refrigerator since they said they always have issues getting LG to reimburse or pay them for parts and service. Id have to pay $89 to just have someone come out to diagnose. They came a week later and said all the Freon leaked out and I would need to have the entire cooling unit rebuilt. It would cost $1200 in parts alone! I called the store I bought this from and they worked with LG and they said they would cover it (how nice of them).Parts came in 2 weeks later, I took the day off to wait for the repair guy. He worked on it for an hour and ran into an issue reaching a part in the unit that he needed to access. He called LG and asked how to problem solve this, they told him to cut it apart and solder it after installing. He asked who would be responsible if he did this and further damaged the unit. They said it was his problem and hung up on him. LG you should be ashamed of whoever you have employed to handle these calls. And you have repair contracts with technicians you treat like crap! Well, I have never been more disappointed in an appliance before. This machine has not worked since day one, but more importantly has cost me an inordinate amount of money based on my water bills. It took me several months to figure out why I was paying hundreds extra on my water bill. Granted, I live in a neighborhood that is overcharged for water. This washer consistently has an error of an uneven load (UE), even when I have all similar clothing in the washing machine. It continues to refill and refill and refill for hours before stopping. In addition, it is not even warm or hot water, but always cold. In addition, when I try to use a lower spin on delicate clothing, it continues to spin ferociously. To make matters worse, it will absolutely not wash a handful of items and forces you to use a large load. So if you have a handful of delicates you absolutely will not ever, ever be able to wash them.It is absolutely the worst washing machine and has cost me literally thousands of dollars. I was once run off the road from behind by elderly man in a Porsche. My van was totaled and my children I rolled over several times. I refused to sue him, but I would sue LG in a heartbeat. I simply cannot understand why there is not a class action suit. They are preying on consumers, and they are winning! So sad... but buyer beware. We will, unfortunately be filling our landfills with these machines. What a complete and had her waste.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

We bought our LG French Door (door in door) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October of 2014 |Model#LMXS30776S/00| when we built our home (along with an LG dishwasher, stove, microwave and washer and dryer). At $3,999.00, we really hoped it would last without problems. Unfortunately I didnt read any reviews before purchasing ALL LG appliances... what a mistake! On September 18, 2017, I came home from work to find that everything in my refrigerator was barely cool and everything in the freezer had completely melted! My brother-in-law is an electrician and works on appliances so I called him to check it out. After determining that the compressor had gone bad, we called LG to order the part. We spoke to someone who transferred us to tech support. When we requested the part, they said they needed an LG certified technician authorization code and we couldnt order the part because my brother-in-law was not a certified LG repairman. They gave me the numbers of 3 certified technicians that were over 100 miles away because there were none in my area. After calling them to come diagnose the problem so LG would make good on the 10-year compressor warranty, they refused to come out because... and I quote... we dont like to work on LG appliances because they are a pain and good luck finding someone to work on it. Not to mention it wouldve been upwards of $500.00 for them to travel that distance just to verify that it was actually the compressor when we already knew that. So we called LG back and told them we couldnt get an LG repairman to come look at it but that we knew the problem so could we please just order the part. They were extremely rude to both myself and my brother-in-law and would not even let us order the part. So I paid almost $4000.00 for this refrigerator that lasted less than 3 years, and I have no right to access the parts even though the LG service centers in my area will not come to my home and diagnose the problem. We went on Sears Parts Direct and found the compressor for $250.00 thank goodness and my brother-in-law is installing it. I still find it ridiculous that I have to pay out of pocket for a part that is supposedly covered under warranty... but I will gladly pay that just to not have to deal with talking to them on the phone again. If you buy a super expensive LG thinking it will last, think again. And if the fact that the parts are covered under warranty gives you peace of mind and they will make good on the warranties... dont count on it. Moral of the story... dont buy an LG anything. Fingers crossed that my other appliances last longer than this one did.

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

I purchased TWO LG front loader washing machines from Home Depot for my own use. From day one the clothes never came out clean. Because I had bought two I assumed that this issue was with my plumbing and had the plumber back in several times. Each time he assured me that there was no issue with the plumbing. I finally called my extended warranty company to come and take a look at the machines. The technician simply shook his head and said that he understands my frustration as he owns the same machine. There is simply no sufficient water in these high efficiency front loaders to wash laundry! They are marketed as giving a superior wash yet DO NOT WASH THE CLOTHES AT ALL! Try washing a load of laundry in the sink and adding just one jug of water! I am still hopeful that LG will stand behind its product and replace these machines, as I currently have two very nice looking ORNAMENTS in my home.

Got set as gift from brother-in-law after wife helping during death of his wife. The washer has worked fine since 2008. The dryer we have had checked several times, always says vents needed cleaning. Now that I have read reviews of how having to do exactly what we have to do is dry 4-5 times, I am convinced no need to spend any money on this high dollar product. Will purchase a decent dryer... Used to be a washer dryer lasted 20-25 years. What a shame on LG! Never again.

My husband and I purchased a brand new LG fridge through Sears only FOUR MONTHS ago. One month after purchase it started making noise, which has increased to the point where it is loud buzzing and rattling. We went to Sears and were told we should have purchased the warranty; they wont honor even a 4-month old bad appliance that they carry in their own stores. They called LG company for us and we are STILL waiting to hear from them, but Im not optimistic. The Sears rep told us that LG is notorious for not responding or fixing problems. We live in a small town, and there is no LG repairman locally; so we have to try to get someone up here from miles away. Not optimistic THAT is going to fly with LG. Furthermore, I do not like being FORCED to buy a warranty in order to pay for bad equipment only months old...its rather like having to pay protection money to keep thugs from destroying your home. Will NEVER buy a LG product again after our experience and reading other complaints similar to ours. We are going to try to see if local repairman can fix the problem and just pay for it as the costs projected for an LG repairman to come up here are exorbitant, and we learned from the Sears that LG almost never sends a repairman to our town. Our frustration and anger over this lousy appliance isnt worth waiting and arguing for months with LG Company. We are also frustrated with Sears for carrying a product with so many problems...

The next time Im going to look for a wringer type washing machine with the thing in the center. The other ones are the pits and I wont be purchasing another like it. Too expensive. Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.

Ive had the top loading high efficiency washer for about a year and it is truly the worst purchase Ive ever made. Im almost inclined to buy a new washer and chalk up an expensive loss for the sake of my own sanity. The washer gives a UE (uneven load?) error on a fairly regular basis. This stops the already very long cycle and makes me have to reset things to finish the load. Most wash cycles take over 90 minutes. Even just a spin-only cycle is 13 minutes and it will sit weighing the load or something stupid and useless for 5 minutes before one even starts to hear it spin. The only good thing is the large size of the tub. Overall, this washer is horrible.

I have been more than satisfied by the performance of this refrigerator brand, for almost 12 years now and its still working. Only this previous days when I notice that it stops performing what it intends to do. As I am an aircon technician myself, I immediately examine the unit and the only problem that I found is the PCB control needs to be replace. Thats all. The last time that I service other LG ref, I can easily bought those parts and, voila, its good as new. But now they change those policy. You cant buy the parts now. They keep on insisting that they will only do repairs, so I keep on wondering - how will they do some repairs for those minute parts of electronics in the PCB & keep the customer waiting for weeks? Are these the way they treat consumer after? So now Im considering to buy another ref. Perhaps as a consumer weve got to stick to the brand from the past for good after sales service even though the appliance is long overdue in service. Ive been with the LG service when its a GOLDSTAR brand name. Its their first brand name when they enter the market and they keep on saying that we need to satisfy & address the consumer needs & complaints for us to be known & admired by... so what now that this is one giant brand name???

I purchased a French door stainless steel unit, Model number LFX31925ST. The compressor stopped working. I contacted LG, we went through a series of diagnostics, and the LG technical support folks confirmed that the compressor was the likely culprit, and that the compressor was under warranty. The first two service providers provided by LG would not service my unit. I called back. I got another LG recommended provider who did come out and perform a diagnostic, confirming not only had the compressor failed, but that the heat during the failure melted the internal coils, rendering the unit in their opinion non-repairable. This report was sent to LG tech support. LG tech support then claimed that they needed more info from their recommended technical service, requiring that I pay them again, to come out, disassemble the unit, take pictures, and concurrently be on the phone with LG Electronics. All this was done, with a promise from LG that this would get reviewed by their technical managers and that I would hear back by the close of business. Hearing nothing back, I contacted LG again the following morning (10/3/2018) and was advised by LG that they had not received the pictures so they were still waiting. Since I was standing by the vendor when he sent the pictures, and the LG tech support person was still on the phone at the time, this claim was dubious at best. I have now been without a refrigerator since 09/19, with no known resolution path. I am a Sr. VP of Operations & Quality, and this is the worst customer service experience I have encountered from a major corporation in my lifetime. If they are not going to honor their warranty, they should have the decency to say so, so I can shop for a replacement.

I’ve known about LG for a long time and I like the door within door feature of the refrigerator as well as the bridge section with the long, narrow door. You could put something real wide in the fridge. The quality is good even though I had an issue to begin with. I travel for work so it’s hard for me to know when I’m gonna be home. Scheduling was hard but when I was home for a week and did schedule, I never got a callback from the technician on when they were gonna come out. It was dropped so, it was another month again until I was able to call and find out what was going on. Then it was still a few days later. But when they came out, they did a great job. Product: Refrigerator. Model #: LFXS29626S. Recently I purchased what I believed was a top of line LG refrigerator. At the time of my purchase I truly believed that I was making the absolute best decision and that I was purchasing the very best refrigerator line that money can buy, however I now feel like I have made the absolute worse decision and I feel totally exasperated because my family and I sit here in our home living out of coolers for over 6 weeks and constantly managing ice to keep our food from spoiling. The problem is that this refrigerator has been out of order since August 8th, it is now Sept 19th and we are facing the 5th time of parts being placed on back order. If I had some idea of when the parts would arrive rather than facing the 5th time of being backordered there might be some peace of mind. Unfortunately, I have no idea when this part will arrive and will ultimately be repaired. It has already been 6 weeks of living out of coolers. I have called LG customer service multiple times and have dealt with friendly support people who try to help most times leaving the call believing there was a solution soon including being told twice that if the back order is beyond 10 days that the refrigerator would be submitted for likely replacement. No action on this yet just excuses when I follow up. My refrigerator was delivered Dec 2015 then began noticing problems in July 2017. I had a repair technician at our home on August 8th. Now I sit here with this top of line refrigerator with absolutely no idea when it will be repaired. In the past, I have always purchased less expensive models or maybe what could be thought of as lower quality brands. I have been fairly satisfied with these competitive brands, with only frequent problems requiring regular repairs. Understandably, I anticipate repairs on all appliances used in my home (those would have been better choices at this point), but this current repair, the time to get it handled and still with no solution is 100% unacceptable. I purchased this brand and model believing the product and support would be first class. I hope that you can comprehend how much of a great inconvenience this has been to be 6 weeks without a refrigerator to me and all my children. I need help and I need it soon! I am feeling inclined to make many more people aware of the support and lack of LG standing behind their products.

I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on Oct. 22, 2012. I also bought my LG French door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago from Sears. I was planning to purchase a Kenmore, but i would have to wait almost 2 weeks which I couldnt do. The salesman talked me into getting the LG model (August 2009). After 14 months of use, the fridge stopped working (October 2010)! I didnt purchase the extended warranty (never have found them worth paying for as I have never needed to use one). Needless to say, I contacted Sears for repair. The repairman diagnosed a blown fuse, which meant replacing the circuit board also. Repair was approximately $300.00 in all. The fridge has been working fine until yesterday, Dec. 21, 2012! Of course because it is only 5 days before Christmas, we were fully stocked up and expecting a houseful of company on the 25th! We had to empty everything out! Run all of this food out to the garage, wipe the fridge down so it doesnt smell and hope the authorized repairman can stop by sometime Christmas eve. He is only working a half day, but I will try to make it. Talk about pressure! This is just terrible, terrible timing. A terrible waste of money and a terrible product! Save your self the headache and do not purchase LG! Not only expensive to repair (with or without the warranty), but extremely frustrating!

This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

I just purchased new LG appliances about 4 months ago. All are ok except the dishwasher. There are two main issues I continue to have. The bottom rack continues to come off track and it appears the design of the dishwasher does not have a large enough track to keep the wheels on track. I continue to have issues with the dishes not getting clean. If we do not pre-rinse the dishes completely, they will come out dirty with the residue dried on. I generally use the normal cycle, which takes 2 1/2 hours.I called customer service and was told that the normal cycle is designed to reach a temperature of 96 degrees and have a moderate spray intensity. The agent further explained that this is not a sufficient wash cycle to clean dishes unless they are completely pre-washed! She recommended using Power Scrub, a cycle that takes close to 3 hours, or adding in addition rinse cycles to The normal cycle. I am so disappointed that I spent over $700 on a dishwasher that is not designed to wash dishes! Please DO NOT make the same mistake.

Initially, I had a pretty old top loader washing machine 16 years old (NOT LG) and it worked perfectly - actually loved it and all of my clothes came out clean and perfect! My husband thought hed surprise me with a VERY EXPENSIVE, brand new $2,500 LG front loader washing machine and dryer from Best Buy. I didnt even want it because our older set was fantastic! In any case, heres where all of the problems started. I should sue LG just for all the fights and yelling I did to my husband (ha ha) for this piece of CRA-!!! Now all of the problems. Immediately, everything smelled like mold, especially the towels (even though, we did the bleach wash as suggested and left the doors opened), SO MANY RUINED CLOTHES (almost every day our clothes got holes and rips) - I threw away about 5 pieces of clothing a week & it actually became a joke of everyday showing and telling my husband about another item I have to throw out because of the stupid washing machine. Also, even though, I dont use bleach when I wash, the lame bleach cleaning cycles later ended up leaving horrible bleach marks on our clothes. We owned the LG washing machine and dryer for about 1 year and I left it when we moved to our new home, my headaches are now over. Now I have a very old top loader washing machine (NOT LG) and my clothes get clean, no more holes, stains or moldy smells - I love it! Also, no more yelling at my husband :o))) Side note: We also had a LG flat screen TV that we purchased from Costco - it completely died after a few years. We purchase fridge January 14th, 2017. First time coming out for service on ice maker May 5th, 2017. 5 times in a row for same problem. Still the problem exist. Has leak water all over my floor and into my finished basement. They continue to try sending out technicians. Most recent technician refused to come out if fridge has been serviced so many times before. LGs answer to this is they will send a different company out. Their warranty only includes service and parts. They will not do a replacement or refund. I have a new baby in the house and have been without a fridge totally for 5 weeks. Refrigerator or freezer not working now.

I am extremely disappointed in the support of LG. This is my first purchase of a LG dishwasher and in the first few months I started having electronic problems. The technicians could not solve the problem after several visits and as soon as the warranty expired, they wanted to charge me several hundred dollars to continue to solve the problem.

The compressor went out on our fridge. After calling, LG moved quickly on repairing. The technician was knowledgeable and professional. Soon he made the repair and we were operating again. Great company and great service! Could not ask for more from a company.
