On September 8, 2011, our freezer was not working - no ice, meats were all soft. I had someone come out to look at it. I put $100 out and they could do nothing. I had another company come out and after twice coming out, they had to replace our compressor which was under warranty but not the labor. Now here it is, March 14, 2012 and I went to get meat out of the freezer and it is soft and my ice cubes are very watery. What a piece of junk this is! And the rest of our appliances are LG! I am very angry and upset!

This machine is wonderful! I dont do a lot of laundry as Im single. I can do a load on quick turbo wash in 25 minutes. I love that feature. The clothes come out clean even in the short wash! I do wipe the door and inside rubber gasket after each wash and leave the door slightly ajar always.

Ordered & paid for LG, bottom freezer refrigerator in 2/2014. Delivery was April 1; delivery man lost a part to the doors so didnt close properly. After a LOT of phone calls LG called and delivered a new refrigerator (same model). Two months after use, started whistling. Sounds like the bomb sound effects in old war movies; I timed the whistle... over one minute - each time motor cuts on it whistles. After whistling stops motor runs at an elevated groaning (small aircraft). Called LG for repair (still under warranty); online customer service ignored my request for two months. Finally got a note saying sorry - were having IT issues. They scheduled an appt for a repairman after I called Home Depot (who then called LG). Repairman never showed because the company doesnt service LG unless out of warranty or bought from them (so they told me when I called to find out where they were).Recontacted LG (online chat customer service as it is based in the US) and I keep a transcript of conversations. Week later, awaiting repairman. Refrigerator 5 months old. After reading all comments, I am fearful for the next 7 months. I will not ever buy an LG again purely because their customer service quality is - well I am not suppose to write what I am thinking... How do we stop this company from selling in the US? Who do we complain to? Federal Trade Commission? BBB? Who else?

Our 34-month-old WM3370HVA front load washer started making loud noises and smoking on Aug 20. Here it is Oct 30 and the machine cannot be repaired because not parts have been available. We have submitted our complaint numerous times via LGs website to receive a call back within 24 hours, as the website claims. No return call has been received. We went to Pacific Sales in Best Buy to get their help. The rep spoke with LG customer service and said we would receive a call from LG. That never happened. After several failed attempts to get assistance we spoke with Brenda at ext ** in Alabama. She said she would research our complaint and get back within 24 - 48 hours. That never happened.Oct 17, I spoke with Wendy because Brenda was not available to learn the parts would be at the warehouse tomorrow. Wendy said she would email Brenda and the repairman to notify them. Still have not heard from Brenda. The repairman said he could not do anything until we requested a new work order, by calling LG customer service. Oct 19, after 48 minutes on the phone with various reps and hearing the your time is very precious to us recording 48 times, the call was disconnected. Did the rep call us back? NO!Called customer service again to get an appointment for the repair. They had Monday and Tuesday, next week available. We will be out of town visiting a terminally ill family member and need an appointment after our return on Wednesday. Sorry, they cant schedule that far in advance. We suggested that perhaps there was someone in the company that could schedule an appointment more than one week in advance. The rep said she would see what she could do and call us back. That call has not happened. So two months dealing with LG to repair an expensive machine malfunction is still unresolved. We will never buy another LG product. Avoid LG if at all possible!!

My glass top range was purchased 9/27/15. On 10/22/16 the glass top imploded approximately 15 minutes after I turned it off. All burners cracked. I was barely out of warranty and most companies will work with a feasible solution. I was transferred to their warranty division and offered a premium protection policy for $414 for one year. The other option was a one time use warranty for $288.95 which would cover labor, diagnostics, and cost of labor. The glass top would be an additional $331.45. Neither plan covered the glass top which is my issue I called about. It appears this was an example of taking advantage of a consumer. I will not buy LG again!

I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

I purchased an LG refrigerator June of 2015. Upon receiving the fridge just a week later the freezer stopped working. Had it repaired and was under warranty. Now July of 2017 the compressor stopped working. TWO major components on a two year old refrigerator is ridiculous! The customer service at LG is unbelievable. And not in a good way. I called 5 times and got someone different each time. NO ONE CARES there. I was given the runaround for a month now. You wouldnt believe what I went through... I will NEVER buy another LG product, nor will I recommend to anyone. Beware...this company doesnt care! I am now buying a new fridge...after the one that I bought from LG is definitely a lemon. Trust me my new one wont be an LG! Their products are cheaply made and quality is poor. Do not buy! Customers dont matter!

I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

After two fires and repeated calls to the LG company, I finally found someone who was able to point out that many LG ranges can be locked when not in use to prevent easy turn on on the elements. Page 24 of the owners manual says to press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds to lock. If you have children or a tall dog (my dog has turned the stove on twice) it is a MUST to lock it.

July 16, 2014, we had our new LG stainless steel refrigerator delivered to our home and we were so excited. That excitement was short lived. It had been a few days before I could get to remove the plastic sheeting that was on the front of the doors and when I did start to remove the plastic sheeting I noticed there were small rust spots going down both side of the door. First I thought that stainless steel should not be rusting, and then said to my husband there are more spots all over the sides of the door. I then placed a call to Home Depot Store and informed them of the rust spots and that I wanted them to fix the problem. Home Depot told us to call LG. We placed a call to LG and were informed they DO NOT FIX COSMETIC problems. It was delivered like this.Home Depot had a local Refrigerator repair company come to look at the Rust on the side of my new refrigerator door; even this repairman was baffle as to what could have caused the rust spots. This repairman couldnt remove the spots after spending more than hour in my home. We got the run around for most of the first day and for four weeks following the first phone call. We called Home Depot back and threatened to return this new LG Refrigerator to the front doors of Home Depot and or report this unhappily experience to the local media outlets. We have finally been informed Home Depot will take care of this problem. Its been over two months since we purchased this rust bucket and the rusty refrigerator is still in my kitchen. Moral of the story, DONT PURCHASE LG. We learned the hard way, LG does not stand behind their products and is not customer friendly.

Late at night, (after we all went to bed) we heard glass breaking. Upon investigation, we found that the glass in the front loader door has blown out, glass all over the floor AND inside the washer. Glass was very hot. Cleaned up the mess and called LG. My husband is disabled and we do his laundry every day. I spoke to customer service and they said it had to go to resolution team, even though I have had the machine for 5 years and it was no longer under warranty. After a week of waiting for their decision, now I have service scheduled for Monday (which I have to pay for since the washer is not under warranty....no kidding!!) They had better come with the parts because going to the Laundromat is no fun...especially after paying $700 for this machine.....

My recently purchased LG oven temperatures are totally erratic, occasionally getting so hot as to turn on my smoke detector. I have had many problems with the compressor and main board on my fridge within a span of three weeks. The technician came to service it multiple times, replacing the compressor twice, the refrigerant three times, and the mainboard twice. It broke for the third time yesterday and is not cooling again. Apart from the inconvenience of not having a fridge, Ive had to throw away groceries multiple times. Customer service wants to send the same technician out to replace all those parts a third time. I refused because there is no guarantee it will function properly for more than a week, bringing me more inconvenience with the holidays approaching. Customer service only offered me this solution and would not budge on my refusal to pay for the past labor. I will buy another fridge and never will recommend or consider an LG appliance again in the future.

I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. I was so proud at how all three units looked in my kitchen and people were impressed with the look of them. Shame on you LG for selling expensive crap!! And then refusing to take care of your customers.

My LG refrigerator started making a different sound about 3 months ago. Now, my LG refrigerators compressor died at 3.5 years old, with all of the contents spoiled and lost. Its been going on 2 weeks to get LGs attention on this matter. This is so un-American to have a refrigerator manufacturer NOT back up their product! Model LFXS27466S. My service technician is all ready to repair it, but processing the authorization letter from LG is stagnant. It appears that obstructing progress with excuses is common from LG, making consumers so frustrated that they give up.My refrigerator is not one of the 60 models mentioned in the class action lawsuit settlement regarding LGs refrigerator issues, but it suffered the same demise. Paul, my service technician mentioned that LGs faulty design causes undue and uneven pressures inside the split-coil system that ultimately ruins the compressor prematurely. $650 labor, $325 parts, $400 in lost/spoiled food from fridge and freezer. Still waiting for a repair. Very disappointed in LG refrigerators, their repair process and support.

Placed 1/2 load of towels in washer, started machine, then went shopping. Upon return washer door was open, water was pouring out of the door, and the towels were all over the floor. Apparently, this happened soon after we left because the washroom was flooded, the hallway was flooded, the bedroom was flooded, and the basement had the equivalent of an inch of water everywhere, it had even streamed into the garage through the wall from the washroom. After calling LG we were told the machine was out of warranty and to call an LG repairman. He was not available for two weeks. After performing extensive diagnostics in conjunction with LG tech support, he was advised that the machine checked out in all respects, but that LG recommended replacing the main board and both inlet valves at a cost for parts of over $500 plus labor. We could use the machine, but recommended that we not leave the house. We have had a number of repairs to the machine for the door not locking and have expensive switches replaced. Over $500 in repairs in the first two years. Now the machine is 4 years old and they want more money (see above) for repairs. Consumer Reports currently rates LG as the top front loader. We cannot understand how this can be an honest report, because our experience with these products and with LG has been abysmal. We noticed that on searching for LG washer problems, we came across three other reports under Consumer Reviews describing exactly our problem. LG told its repairman they had no other reports of such a problem, which obviously was a direct lie since we found three on our first search. Our order number on this machine from Home Depot is ** It was paid for on 6/22/11, and delivered on 6/28/11.

I am terribly disappointed with this machine. First of all my clothes are dull and whites are GRAY. I have followed both the companys recommendations and the store where I purchased the machine’s advice. And they are still dull/gray. My other problem is that I have to constantly readjust the clothes... this last load took 12 times pulling the wet clothes out and rearranging them. This washing machine wont even do a tub clean without the uneven light code coming on. I have called LG numerous times and can barely understand the person that I am speaking to. The repair person has come out twice and once replaced the whole motor, but this has not solved the uneven/balance problem. Washing machine self-destructed after 1 year 8 months. My washing machine destroyed itself while on the spin cycle, ruining the washing machine and damaging the adjacent walls of the laundry room. I waited 40 years to have a nice kitchen, and I was taken in by the good looks -- and yes, I admit, the blue oven -- on the LG. What a mistake! We bought the 5 burner gas range, dishwasher and the microwave with the expanding vent. The dishwasher was a lemon out of the box -- Lowes just picked it up and left a new one. The microwave vent kept popping out, no way to secure it. We had to take the same product as a replacement because the bracket was drilled in the new tile wall. Waited TEN WEEKS for the replacement. I can faintly smell gas from this range; a snarky local repairman insists its my imagination. I entered a second complaint when the oven started to fluctuate wildly - set it at 350, it soars to 475 and then drops to 300. I love to bake and gave up on my holiday baking because this was so bad. The repairmen - from a second place - gave me a little lecture about reading the handbook and not using an independent oven thermometer. I havent cleaned the oven since these issues started -- Im afraid it will start a fire. I wasnt happy that LG never followed up on my complaints, either. I want to replace my refrigerator next -- you can bet it wont be an LG product. I am bitterly disappointed in this stove. I feel like Im stuck with it unless I just toss it to the curb. I could never sell it to anyone. Im calling again tomorrow and telling them I want it replaced, repaired or refunded -- I dont expect any satisfaction at all. I wish I had found this page before I bought LG products.

We purchased the extended warranty, against my feelings, and am glad we did as the unit failed after only 2 years! Trying to contact LG is next to impossible. This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! The washer broke on July 30 and repairman from Sears, where we purchased washer and dryer, came the next day. He advised us that valve was broken so water was running in constantly. He told us he would have to order it from South Korea (what?). Not acceptable but he could not order it in U.S. I called Sears Parts and was told they had the part and would send to us. The part arrived on August 3, and the next day two more valves arrived from Texas. I called tech dept but was told our tech had set August 10 for repair and they could not change that!! I posted this to the LG website for reviews and they sent me back an email saying the review did not meet their standards. I guess that is because it was a poor rating?? I will not do business with this company again. My previous washer lasted 10 years and this one only three - think I will skip LG in the future. It would be interesting to know how much LG earns on their repair side of the business.

Both washer and dryer match. I have the clear top to look down into the top loading washer. It does an excellent wash job, handles large loads with ease, and has more than enough cycle options. Its energy efficient by using only the necessary amount of water. Cant believe I waited this long to buy a new model.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

We purchased this fridge in 2010, to the tune of $2,500-. We have had so many issues with it that we are now on our 3rd replacement model. Fortunately, I bought the 5 yr warranty with the store. This last fridge, LG would only cover the pro rated portion remaining, so the warranty company covered the difference. And I had to pay another $500- for another 5 year warranty. So this many years later (6), and the latest fridge delivered a year ago, almost to the day, the repairman is on his way, for the second time in a month, because the ice maker wont make ice. Never buy an LG product.

In 2012 I bought LG French door refrigerator. This refrigerator last 18 months. After several attempts to fix and few hundreds dollars of groceries dumped in the garbage I had to buy a new one. Because of custom kitchen I created by appliances only LG can fit. My new refrigerator still working but I cant use water it still smelly. Another time I got upset and decide to look for similar complaints after 2 pages of peoples cry about this horrible products I realized how lucky I am it just stinky ice and water. My question is how come LG still in business??? Is any of high authorities ever read this feedbacks??? My experience to get in touch failed. Unfortunately I dont speak Hindi. I hardly I learned English. So my idea not to be writer of bad feedbacks but to see if someone has a balls to answer simple questions. I am waiting. P.S. This item price $3000.00. WOW!!!

Bought model # LMX25964 refrigerator in August 2011. As of May 11, 2015, this appliance just stopped working. Since very few appliance repair businesses are allowed to work on LG appliances, we called LG customer service. Here are directions we were given: Unplug the fridge. Wait awhile. Plug it back in. Open and close the two freezer doors three times. Now, wait 24 hours before opening the freezer again. (am guessing this is when the Voodoo Doctor will visit). We are in that 24 hour wait as I type. Will NEVER buy another LG product again.

We purchased our fridge on May 2015. Costed us about $2300. Since then we’ve had to have it repaired 6 times! I guess that pretty much sums up our experience with LG refrigerators. My very nice LG (big freezer on the bottom) has a computer that lasted 5 1/2 years and Ive been told that thats pretty good for an LG. The service people (two different companies) hate to work on this brand because of the difficulties in understanding the pamphlets/instruction on how to fix them. The two companies I called for help each asked me some pertinent information about my problem and after answering them, both told me the same thing.... The motherboard has died, just like that. I had really liked the fridge until it simply stopped working, even though over the years it made some strange noises and I had trouble with the automatic ice maker. I love the size of the freezer and the fact that its on the bottom. But none of that helps when the thing decides to quit. My problem is that this one replaced (in Feb 2009) a Coldspot that we purchased in 1977!!!! Really! Yes, we had to put in a new compressor in 1991, but what service that thing gave over the years!! To find a silver lining, I guess I have to look at it from the viewpoint that the cost of the LG ($1200) came to spending a little more than $200 a year for its service, which is small enough. Next time I buy a fridge, Ill stick to the old standby names!!

I have LG refrigerator LFC21776ST for less than 8 years. Suddenly both the freezer and refrigerator sections stopped cooling. I called LG for assistance with service. They provided a list of local LG authorized service providers (not an LG technician). I selected one, Advance Solutions of NY who sent a technician to diagnose for $108. After identifying the problem to be the compressor, the problem was passed back to LG who scheduled the only tech in my area to come a week later. The tech scheduled between 8-2, arrived at 2pm and performed the replacement of the compressor. I was given a bill over $600, which included the cost of the compressor part. I informed the tech that this part was covered by the 10 warranty (my refrigerator is less than 8 years old). After calling whoever he had to call, the discrepancy was resolved. I paid the bill and was told to wait 24 hours for the unit to completely cool. 24 hours later and neither the refrigerator nor freezer are adequately cooled. I called LG and was told the tech would not be available over the weekend or Monday and that someone would contact me in 1 or 2 business days to discuss scheduling. What?? I asked to speak with Executive Services Dept and was put on hold of 1.5 hours. Finally someone spoke with me but had little more to offer. The tech was texted and will hopefully contact me. When, I don’t know. All my food has spoiled. I still don’t have a working refrigerator and have no idea when the issue will be resolved. Not a happy camper. Life is not good at the moment.

I bought a LG refrigerator from Home Depot LFX25960ST in 2007. The ice maker has broken down twice which needed servicing. In Feb 2014, just like the other consumer complaint, we smelled something burning and realized that the light fixture housing had completely burnt and melted. Even the light bulb was melted. We called LG and the technician came out the very next day. Told us that this is a common issue and just replaced the light housing without address to the fridges melted ceiling. Told us to use 40 watts light bulb instead of the manual recommended 60 watts (which we had been using). When I contacted LG and submitted pictures and wanted to file a products liability claim, twice they replied via email and plainly rejected it. I now today told them that I will seek social media and legal counsel. I am now waiting for their response.

DLG2302R - We purchased an LG washer and dryer about 4 years ago. After 6 months, the dryer button would not work (to start the dryer). It was still under warranty and a technician came out. He wasnt sure what was wrong, but he tried replacing a part he thought might be the problem. It worked for a while longer after that, then it would turn on sometimes but not other times. We called again. Now it was out of warranty, and we could not afford to replace the front panel to fix it (we already spent $2,000 to purchase the pair). Then the dial quit working (still doesnt work). As a result, we have had to manually program the time/heat setting with other buttons on the panel. We never know if the dryer will work when we need something to be dried. Like today 4 years later.

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Three door LG fridge. 3 1/2 years old and broke down 6 times. Frequent canceled repair calls and many no call no shows. Have to pay labor, LG only covers parts that must be ordered, 7 days out. Who still takes that long to order anything. Then another repair call to install the parts, and another charge. Once again, you are lucky if it lasts more than a day or two. 6 months is good. LG could care less and Sears doesnt seem to care either. Perhaps a class action suit is in order. At the bare minimum it may force LG and their poor products and even worse customer service out of the market. As for Sears, they will likely be gone by this time next year. Its clear why to anyone that has worked with them.

But that repair failed and after 9 weeks without a fridge I am now FURIOUS! I get back from a weekend away and find that now the freezer has failed and my floor is flooded and all my food ruined. The repair guy is on his way. But last time it took two months for the board to arrive. I have raised a complaint on my recently bought LG washing machine direct drive on 24th December. LG service had come on 26th and said the panel has to be replaced and they have to get the panel from Cochin. Next day I called them due to lack of response and they said it has to arrive from Noida. Today we called and they said that part is no longer available. I trusted LG and purchased this product. Now I regret it. I suggest if LG has no commitment at making quality products then give me a temporary washing machine until the repair is over. I had a useless customer care experience. Updated on 11/13/2019: Another 2 days have gone by and it is 4 pm and the LG service people have not shown up again. Consumer Affairs keeps say there are holding things up due to the fact they cannot find our refrigerator by the serial number. I would like to take a picture of it, but they don’t tell me where to send it. My husband send a copy of our receipt over a week ago, but that doesn’t seem to be enough! We have been without a refrigerator since October 3rd- guess my next step is The Better Business Bureau. Every day they promise something it it never seems to happen. I lost over $400 in food plus 6 weeks of eating out. My house is up for sale and how do you think a non-working refrigerator looks to people looking at our house! LG Service is the worst.Updated on 11/11/2019: This is a follow up to a previous review.... After 6 weeks without a refrigerator we were scheduled service for the 3rd time, today between 1& 5- took off of work again (they told us this would be a 3 hour repair) and guess what they call us at 1:30 to cancel our appt for today! Will never buy another LG product just because their set ice is so bad!Original Review: On October 3rd, I called for Service on my LG refrigerator- they did some sort of scan from my phone and told me the refrigerator was fine and I must have left the door ajar and that is why things were warm and ice was melting. I was told to unplug my refrigerator for about 15 minutes, plug it back in and keep door closed for at least 6 hours and I should be fine. I went to bed, got up the next morning and everything in my freezer was thawed and refrigerator was warm, so needless to say I had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food.I called again, they wanted to send a repairman out the following Monday and not before, well we were leaving town Sunday for my son’s wedding. Service was then scheduled for October 18th. When they came on the 18th I was told I needed a new compressor on my 3 year old refrigerator which was still under warranty. But it would take them 10 days to get the parts. Service was set up for October 28th between 8 and 12 and I was told it may take 3 hours, so I took the day off of work.Well, the 28th comes but only 2 of 3 parts had been delivered, so they did not come. Then it was rescheduled for today 10/30, but parts still are not in....after many phone calls and not getting any real answers - we have asked for a new refrigerator they say you have to have 3 service calls for the same complaint or if they can’t get the parts from 30 days after service call. Well even though we called on 10/3, the 30 days starts on 10/18 when the service man actually came to our house. So, apparently we have to wait now til 11/18 if the part doesn’t come in - that is 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy LG again!

We purchased this LG refrigerator (LFXC24726D $3,022.99) from HDP in 2016 and have had the compressor to go out in Sept. 28, 2018. We lost all of our food, which they did not replace. This just happened to occur a year after the loss of my husband. This added to the agony of lifes challenges. Now less than 3 months later the freezer goes out. This is now the food in the freezer lost. LG initially said there would not be a charge for the repair. The technician arrives and tells me that there is a charge because this is a different issue not related to the compressor. On December 26, 2018 (my birthday) I called LG and was on hold for an extreme amount of time, only to get transferred again to speak to supervisor Sharon to tell me that there will be a charge; but as a courtesy they will give me a one time credit for the loss of my food in the amount of $125.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! $125.00 FOR WHAT HOUSEHOLD IS THIS!!! We lost all of our food in September 2018 and then on December 24, 2018 we lost all of the food in the freezer! I explained the age of this refrigerator to the LG representative Sharon, the issues and all the loss incurred. She proceeded to tell me that there is no one else I can speak to (before I could even ask) and that I would have to pay the service fee. LG SUCKSSSSSS!!! After all of the food we have lost at Christmas!! I am so sorry to have ever purchased this refrigerator. I am even more regretful to have any LG products in our home at this low grade of customer service. I am no longer an LG supporter and advise anyone who is spending their hard earned dollars to spend it where it will not be wasted like this because this just is not right. I AM SO UNHAPPY WITH LG!! They could have easily diffused this situation by not charging me the service fee; how awful and unprofessional!!

(Please take into consideration that they have never called me once about missing information. All calls were initiated by my self). On 01/30, they stated that they did not have the serial number (which was given each time in the preceding phone calls). On 02/01, they stated that they cannot find anyone to service my area and that they needed 3-5 more days. My husband called and found servicer in less than 5 minutes. LG is a brand that I highly favor from refrigerators to phones, TVs and other electronics. LG always meets my expectations and never disappoints me. Any repair thats needed is always affordable and easy. The current refrigerator I own is an LG and my favorite feature on it is that it includes wifi, so when my home wifi goes out I can still connect to the wifi on my refrigerator. Sometimes my refrigerator doesnt get as cold as Id like it to if I have too much food in it. It is a bigger refrigerator so I can pack it full, but the fuller it is the less cold it gets, and I often have to throw out food that requires a certain temperature of coolness so I have to be cautious of how much food I buy that requires refrigeration.

I wish I could give LG a big fat ZERO because that’s what they deserve. I purchased a side by side LG refrigerator two years ago. Six months ago, the ice maker stopped working. Then it started working again four weeks ago, but only for a couple of days. Then the freezer stopped freezing. All my food thawed out and ended up in the trash. Then a few days later, the fridge itself stopped working with the exception of the water. Called LG customer service. They sent someone out five days later (after all the food in the unit ended up in the trash). The tech said he changed the compressor. The following day, the unit is still not working AND now the water isn’t working either. Tech came back out. Said the water line got tangled but now it’s fixed. Over the next five days, the unit worked for a few hours, then stopped. More food spoiled. LG sent the tech out a third time. This time he claims it was the Freon and possibly the motherboard. He left saying it should work now. It didn’t. Now it’s been another five days, more spoiled food. LG scheduled an appointment for yesterday. No one showed up. Called them. They apologized for the confusion and said someone would be here today. No one showed up again. Called them again. Now they said someone will be here tomorrow. Their products stink and so does their customer service. I will never buy another one of their products again!

I bought an LG ThinQ side by side in March of 2021 and July 2021 the compressor no longer works. It is not making ice nor dispensing water, the bottom half of the fridge freezes as well as the bottom of the freezer. I have been waiting patiently for the fridge to be repaired but when they came to repair it he explained that he would have to take the entire back off which will release all kinds of fumes into the air which could make us sick. Seeing as though we only had the fridge for 4 months we felt LG should replace it or return the money we spent for it or at least replace the money I have lost in groceries. Needless to say I am still without a refrigerator a month later, they claim my fridge was fixed 2 weeks ago and the tech came this past Saturday, my food was spoiled (after I spent 600 in food 3 days prior) and I have had to spend money daily to feed my family. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. Bought LGs top end fridge in 2011. Had multiple issues with ice maker working, compressor within the first year. The LG technician ruined our wood floor and left dents all over it, which LG has paid for refinishing. Weve put up with not having enough ice from the beginning. BUT, this past weekend the ice maker quit, then the rest of the fridge stopped working. Had to throw out tons of food. This was on a Saturday night, 7/20. We bought an extended warranty. Weve gone through the proper channels and the contracted repair company cannot come to look at the fridge until 7/30. I have to wait 10 days for service and be without a refrigerator. That is unacceptable! Shame on LG for charging huge fees for crappy products. Shame on Nebraska Furniture Mart for selling extended contracts to sub par repair companies that treat a warranty like a welfare recipient. Shame on Mega Performance, the extended warranty provider and shame on Mr. Appliance in Overland Park, KS. Today is 7/22 and we are trying to figure out a plan and get this resolved, quickly. Customer service is lacking horribly in this country. People need to step up and be accountable and do the right thing.

Electric range Model LRE3083ST - After a few uses oil/grease streaks appear
Electric range Model LRE3083ST - After a few uses oil/grease streaks appeared on the glass panel. Thought it was on the outer surface. Didnt run a self clean cycle until the range was 6 months old. The streaks were inside not outside. Called LG - was told this is a maintenance issue. This is a defect in the design - the glass is suppose to sealed. Contacted Sears the seller (also their corporate office), was told since we didnt buy the extended contract and was past 30 days, nothing can be done. Already found another person with the same exact problem.

We have had our LG fridge for 3 1/2 years. We noticed that the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling and the ice makers were not working. We called LG. We have had three repairmen come out. The first one said the fridge could not be repaired and tried to get it condemned by LG. No luck there. The second repairman would not work on it and a week later the same repairman came and said LG insists that it be repaired. We are going on a month without a refrigerator. It needs a new compressor, evaporator, etc. etc. etc. LG technical support does not listen to the repairman even when he sends pictures of corrosion and black oily guck. Now a repair is scheduled for next week. We are so disappointed in LG, their product, and their customer service. They are supposed to send $150 for spoiled food but we haven’t seen the check. We are in our seventies and going up and down the basement stairs to the old 30 year old Gibson that is still working is hard on us. I loved this fridge for three years but refrigerators are too expensive to replace after only three years. If LG would compensate us for all the parts they want to put in and labor, we would be happy. We will be buying a Whirlpool and never anything LG again.

2015 LG french door refrigerator Model: LMXS307465 - Purchased December 2015, so just over 2 years old. Suddenly not cooling adequately and had ice building up. After defrosting and cleaning, would not cool to safe food storage temperatures. Several phone calls to LG for phone diagnostics were no help. Finally said it needed a service call and gave me numbers for 3 different service companies. Either they didnt come to my town or didnt work on LG. Finally found somebody to come on my own. Now awaiting a new control board. Called LG back to find out that part was only covered for a year under my warranty. That was an expensive fridge with a lousy warranty. I suspect Im not the only customer with this issue.

We bought a LG refrigerator, model LFX25974ST, on 3/11/2013. Stopped working 2 days ago. No refrig, no freezer, lost all frozen foods and almost all in fridge. Have extended 3 yr warranty, and they will supposedly come next week to evaluate the situation. Now, after reading all of the above, we are concerned we also have an unfixable problem. i.e. the compressor. We also will be required to pay the service fee, and heavens knows what else. Has anyone heard of what can be done, to make complaints known to any and all consumers of these poor products. It is so frustrating to try and talk to anyone!!!

We purchased out LG four-door three years ago from Home Depot. We purchased
We purchased out LG four-door three years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the 5-year HD Protection Plan (issued through a company called Asurion). The compressor began failing last November, and since January, we’ve had repairmen in our home four times and are scheduled for a fifth visit next week. The first company they sent out spent over a week replacing the compressor, only to have it fail within a couple of days. When they returned a few days later, they spent an entire day repairing the issue, and claimed it was the most difficult repair they’ve had to attempt. We were without a functioning fridge for three weeks while we waited for appointments and replacement parts. The fix lasted a short time before failing again and this time it’s been a comedy of errors getting anyone to even look at it. LG tells us to call Home Depot/Asurion, HD/Asurion says its LG’s problem. LG sends a repairman from Sears who says it can’t be repaired and he’ll let LG know, a week later HD calls to see if we’re happy with the resolution. I explain there’s been no resolution, and am promised a phone call from LG within 48 hours. ... Four days go by, we can’t get ahold of anyone. We have to threaten legal action to get a return call, which essentially puts the onus on LG. Asurion explains that LG has taken over the process that our protection plan normally handled and basically they can only ask us if our issue was resolved. At this point we’re offered a loaner fridge, but none is unavailable, so we’re sent a $100 gift card toward the purchase of a mini fridge. I’m desperate for any kind of refrigeration in my kitchen, so we go to Home Depot, only to discover they don’t sell any mini fridge for less than $120. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I shouldn’t have to spend any more money. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food, hours of time on prepared meals, etc.) After the first failure, I’ve been afraid to put our bulk meat in the freezer, rightly so, because I’m afraid the fridge will fail again. So Last week we had a fourth visit from a repair tech, who said our fridge can’t be repaired, and because we’ve been told by LG that the repair tech must call them directly, we asked him to make the call in our presence. He spent 30 minutes on hold before being disconnected, and my husband spent 90 minutes on hold before he gave up. LG repeatedly claims they aren’t getting any information from Asurion or their repairmen. Our claim rep from Asurion returned my call the following day and conferenced in a rep from LG, who basically said he couldn’t help me before transferring me to someone from ‘executive services’ who reviewed my case, said she was sorry, and scheduled another repair visit. She described the convoluted process that needs to occur before they’ll replace my fridge, but wouldn’t give me any of the phone numbers that Sears needs to call, and Sears has no idea what we’re talking about when we tell them they need to call LG (although so far they’ve been willing to accommodate us). We’ll see what happens on Monday when repairman #5 shows up. Every repair guy we’ve spoken to says all they do all day is go around and evaluate failed LG compressors. We finally broke down and purchased a new refrigerator in the meantime, and the sales associate also said he always discourages people from purchasing LGs because everyone he’s sold in the last 4 years has failed and LG is terrible about replacing them. So, to sum up, LG sells garbage, doesn’t care, and won’t help when they can’t be repaired. And so far, the Home Depot protection plan hasn’t done much to protect my purchase. This has been a nightmare and if I could afford to write off the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on a trash fridge and wasted food, I would do it, because LG is killing my sanity.

We bought a nice LG refrigerator 26 months ago and the linear compressor went out, luckily fixed under extended warranty. The problem is the replacement compressor is the same and according to others likely only to last 2 years. 4 year life is not what we wanted out of an expensive fridge so as soon as this next compressor fails we will have to do better research into our next purchase.

I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

I felt really good about LG Refrigerators until mine had an issue. It really was not an issue at all, but the company that they sent to check it out made it into a big issue. I had called and said, My freezer was frosted over. Did I just not got it shut good or is there something wrong? There was also a shelf that had a crack. They would need to come out and fix that. And they said theyd take a look at it when they come out. So, the guy came out and fixed the other things, and then he said there were two fans for the freezer and one of them was only working part of the time. He also said he was gonna have to order another fan. And he scheduled to be back out the following Sunday to replace that. The following Sunday came around, and he didnt show up. I was here all day. I was calling them and they said he was gonna be here, but he never showed up. So, we set it again for the following Sunday. Again, the second Sunday in a row, my only day-off of the week, and I was sitting at the house at the couch, and again, he did not show up. And then, that got me. At one point, during the day, they lied and said they just talked to him and that he was gonna be calling me. I didnt get a call. And when I called them back, they said they were still trying to get a hold of him. So, then, I was trying to get LG to send somebody else, but they go right back to the same outfit. The third Sunday in a row, a different guy showed up and he took one look and said there is only one fan on this refrigerator freezer, and its working fine. He said, “You probably didnt have the door shut good, the reason it frosted over. So, I was really angry. And then, during this whole time, LG was sending me things, trying to get me to take another extended warranty on this. And Im like, Youre not even taking care of me on your original warranty. Im not about to spend more money for an additional warranty when I got treated so crappy in the first place.” Another thing is the first time, when the guy did come and he said that was what it needed, it was not long after that that also, it quit making ice. And I told him that when I was waiting for all those times for somebody to come back out, and its not making ice now. When the other guy did come out, he looked. The first guy had turned the ice maker off and never turned it back on.I like the refrigerator. I like that for the size because that size is the only size in my condo that I can get a refrigerator. And its working fine now, but at the same time, Ive been so upset about how I got treated, and I should have never been treated that way. I wish LG would do something to make up for it like give me another year of extended warranty and dont charge me for it. I didnt get my moneys worth.

If you look at my original review of 10/3/19 and the companys final reply of 10/8/19 it appeared that LG intended to do nothing more than leave us holding the bag as it were. However, without further contacting us at all, LG contacted a nearby service center and sent a new door to them and arranged for our door to be replaced AT LGS EXPENSE. The service man said the old door was going to the dump, so I guess LG didnt need to trust but verify that it was a warranty issue after all. They finally decided to do the right thing. Our refrigerator again looks the way it should, but we should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get this corrected. I stand by my original review. I will not purchase LG in the future.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher and it is so pretty. I first ran the dishwasher just after installed and of course everything was wet for a couple of days. I dried the dishes and left the door and top (3rd) tray open as it seemed to hang on to the water. Then I remember the Rinse Aid so filled it up and ran again. Again everything was wet but not as bad. Then I decided to read some of the reviews (I had read them before but on Google reviews). Now I am wondering if my life will consist of drying dishes. That is a job I hate which is why I have the dishwasher. I have been on LGs site and did not find much help. BTW I also purchased a stove with no serial number easily accessible. Not my month.

After one half hour on the phone with LG customer service, I left so mad I would never buy an LG product and will do anything I can to discourage anyone I know from buying one. My two thousand dollar refrigerator did not have one (the owners manual clearly states one should come with unit). But after spending more than a half hour with their customer service I still have no plug, and now can look forward to wasting even more time with Home Depot, trying to get something that should have come with the unit. If LG cant handle a problem over a 50 cent plug, think how they will react to a real problem. I owned retail stores before retiring, and would have fired any employee that handled a problem like this.

Well, we are now scheduled for the 13th time for a certified LG tech to come look at my washer that doesnt work. This is the replacement machine for the first one that didnt work. After several calls to LGs 800 #, I was transferred to Robert in the executive call center (ha ha). At least he spoke English. He acted like he was concerned about the problem I was having and was going to help get it resolved. He talked to their techs, called the local service company, claimed to have had parts sent out and a service appointment scheduled. I was to receive a call when the parts arrived (2-3 days) to schedule a time that would be convenient for me (ha ha). Well, its been 4 days and no call, so I called the local service company and they had received nothing from LG. They had a call but nothing had been scheduled, no parts sent, and no authorization for service. Surprise, surprise, surprise!I called LG again, asked for Robert, and instead I got some silly girl that did not have a clue. I insisted that I wanted to speak to Robert and was finally transferred to him. I am not sure if it was the person I spoke with before but this time it was a new story. No parts were being ordered. They would have the tech come look at the machine and go from there. So it will be another week with a broken washing machine. It took 6 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. The machine continues to think it had an unbalanced load and fill to the top with water. Never really washes clothes, just fills, jiggles and few minutes, drains and starts over. Definitely energy efficient!

We purchased an LG range and it was delivered on Dec. 14th. When I tried to convection/bake something at 225 degrees, it automatically went to 300 degrees. I tried putting a lower temperature in and the same thing happened, jumped right to 300 degrees. I called customer service and they told me that it needed to be serviced and set up a technician to come out on the following Tuesday. When the technicians came out (who were very unprofessional and unskilled), They replaced the main electronics panel. The oven still did the same thing. They called technical support at LG and the technician did not know why it did not fix the problem. He went to LGs test kitchen and found that all ovens of this model only convect at 300 degrees or higher. After speaking to a manager, LG informed me that there is nothing they can do and couldnt tell me if they have any oven brands that convection/bake below 300 degrees. The manager actually hung up on me and did not transfer me to anyone who could give me this information. My question is..... has anyone had this problem with LG ovens. Do other brands convection/bake below 300 degrees? We had a Hamilton beach countertop convection oven that would cook at lower temperatures. Is this just a feature on full size ranges?

Not heating or cooling on a 3.5 year old $3,000 refrigerator. I bought the now discontinued LG LFXS29766S refrigerator in August of 2015. It looks like new and has had no problems until last week on a Tuesday when I realized it had stopped cooling and making ice. I called the store I purchased from and was told that I had luckily bought a 60 month extended warranty, but I had to call them to get service. I called and the first time they could get to me was going to be Friday, then the following Tuesday! After speaking with their service person she said that in experience because of the model, a sealed system would have to be ordered and once it arrived they could schedule an appointment. With the caveat that LG can take 3-7 days to even ship the system. So I could most likely be without a refrigerator for 2-3 weeks...WHAT???I really cannot believe that after paying that price for a top of the line fridge that one has to wait 2-3 weeks and in calling local repairmen- NO-one stocks these parts and many do not want to even work on LG. I am hoping that my parts arrive this week and that hopefully it works, reading other reviews for the same problem I am not feeling like I will ever buy an LG product again. My last question to all 5 of the repairmen I called was what they would buy, that lasted the longest, can be fixed and repaired in a timely manner. Their answers were Frigidaire, Whirlpool and Kitchen-Aid. Hopefully this system will last at least another 4-5 years and then I will be buying one of those brands. To top it off I suspect this was a lemon design from the beginning as it has been discontinued. Sigh.

We were limited by the space we had available to put the refrigerator in height as well as depth and width. Issue of getting in the doors of the house also. We had to take handles off refrigerator and freezer doors to get the unit in the house. Dont really like that we now have a water filter on the ice and water line that needs to be replaced ever 6 months. The excess ice needs to be taken off the door and dumped into the ice bin in the freezer. Freezer is on the bottom and when drawer is pulled out it limits movement into the kitchen area from family room. The housing for the water filter is not all that substantial could have been designed a little better. Still, we like the led lighting the ice and water dispensers and individual compartments for fruits and vegetables. The door display reminds you of how long the doors are open.

We purchased our LG LFX29945ST refrigerator in June of 2014 and started to have major problems in December with the refrigerator compartment freezing food. We had the temperature set at 45 degrees and it was still 30 degrees inside. Called LG for service and got terrible support. We made several calls, got disconnected/hung up on once. The smart diagnosis showed we opened the refrigerator too much (we have a family of 5 so it gets used a lot). They tried to tell us it wasnt level, but the level showed good. Lucky for us we purchased a warranty via Lowes. Lowes sent a service person out and he would sit on hold for 20-30 minutes to talk with an LG tech. Service replaced the whole inside back panel with the air control doors and thermostats along with the control board. This repair caused the refrigerator to not get cold at all. Tech came back out and was told by LG support it was the wrong control board that the LG tech told him to order. Another week later the new control board comes in and its freezing food again (temp between 28-30 degrees). We been unable to use the refrigerator for over two months. Tried to do a review on the LG website and they denied it. I guess that is how they get such good reviews by rejecting the negative ones. I cant believe that I spent over $2,000 dollars on a refrigerator that I cant use for food. At this point the Technician and I are both very frustrated with LG and still trying to resolve the issue. How can a consumer get a bad appliance replaced?

We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose. This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.

We bought LG True balance WT4801CW washing machine and matching dryer. $1600.00, on sale on Black Friday 2011, at Home Depot for the set. I hate it. The water doesnt even cover the clothes. I thought something might be wrong with it so I looked in the book and it says it does not fill to cover the clothes, STUPID. I knew it really sucked when I put in a sheet that my grandbaby had touched with powdered sugar on his hands. I even put the washer on extra rinse. I pulled out the sheets and the powdered sugar was still there and DRY. Now the cold water is leaking into the tub even when the washer is off. We have to turn off the cold water completely in between loads. If you forget to remove your clothes as soon as the cycle finishes it will fill with cold water so you have to rewash or at least rinse and spin as there is no spin only option to remove the water. I called LG, they gave me a number to the service repair. I called them, they dont have a repair center. You have to pay them $75.00 to come to your house then they start the billing. I will purchase another washer as I am not putting in any more money into this piece of junk. We own lots of other LG products including cell phones and love them but LG needs to stay away from large appliances as we can all see they SUCK.

It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. LG Tromm front loading washer is the worst washing machine ever. I purchased one in 2008. Beside the loudness and shaking of the washer, it leaks water. I find puddles after running a load. I tried to contact LG with no results. They refer me to an appliance repair outfit. I have had nothing but problems with this washer.

4 of 5 of my LG PRODUCTS have had problems. My LG side by side refrigerator with ice maker and freezer on the bottom caught fire on Christmas EVE one year while we were sleeping. After much negotiating it was finally replaced. The replacements ice maker failed and the doors broke twice. My LG top load washer rusted out... it took a year to get it fixed. Meanwhile it had a couple of recalls on the panel and tub. My LG dishwasher stopped working altogether... I replaced it. The second doesnt clean my dishes well. AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO FAITH IN THE PRODUCTS OR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. LG simply does not want to deal with their faulty products and its customer service dep representatives are difficult to understand.

LG KNEW they had a “motherboard” problem affecting the air circulation fan. Yet they did not honor the warranty on this new refrigerator. I was charged $556.00 to replace a defective part. The refrigerator is a year & 1/2 old.

I unfortunately purchased an LG brand front load washer and dryer from Home Depot. I wish I would have done some research first because it would have saved me a lot of problems. The washer is very high maintenance in which you have to drain it and clean out the trap. At least once a month, there are cleaning pouches that Tide makes that you have to use to clean out the washer. It seems no matter how often I use the pouches and drain it, my clothes have a musty smell. One of my biggest complaints is that I can not wash a lot of my blankets and comforters because they get too heavy and off balance the drum no matter if I try repositioning them.

Tried to find one that was rated good in Consumer Affairs. I have had this pair for about 5 years. I looked at consumer feedback to find one that was rated well. They seem to do ok. I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. I want and need large size that keeps working.

I bought a LG refrigerator (model no. LFXS30766S) on December 2015. After two years of service the compressor went bad. I was able to get LG to replace the compressor, since it was still under its 10 year warranty although the repair cost me about $250 on labor cost. Now on February 2020 the second compressor when also bad. It is my conclusion that LGs linear inverter compressors are complete garbage and LG shall issue a recall and replace them or issue refunds to all customers with this problem.

The refrigerator failed twice in three years. The technician showed up the first time, however failed to show up for the second failure. Therefore, the unit went directly to the trash and I purchased a different unit. Trash, pure trash and very unreliable service.

Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!
