The French door refrigerator we bought is awesome. There is so much room. That said it does make the freezer a bit small but I love the 3 different spaces. The new black stainless is terrific, no fingerprint marks and easy to spot clean when needed.

I bought the LG LSXS26326 refrigerator in the 2015 with a 10 compressor warranty. The compressor failed 2021. When I contacted LG I was told by LG that they do not have service techs in the area. Three week wait just to get a third-party service company to do diagnostics, then the part can be ordered, which has a 3-5 business day turn around time. Multiple service companies refused to do LG service work. The LG service website lists available service providers in the area, but upon contact they all stated they no longer support LG warranty or service work. I will never buy another LG product.

I purchased the refrigerator from HH Gregg and within a week or two, we were waking up to water on the floor and ice in the freezer on everything. Also the seal was frozen and the fridge was not keeping the food cold. LG sent out a repairman who was the first of many to tell us LG has a problem with their refrigerators and cant seem to fix it. They have so far replaced left hand refrigerator door 3 or 4 times, also fixed a few other things which did not last. They keep wanting to send out repair guys which means someone has to be here for a 6hr window for him to make it. My time is more valuable to me than that. Thank God HH Gregg is trying to do a buy back so I can get a unit that actually works right. Thank God for honest business that helps the customer.

We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. For a dryer that costs $1200 this is simply unacceptable.

Ive had this machine for 6 or 7 yes now. I dont know who came up with the idea that the tub needs to be balanced before it adds water. It just isnt necessary and it wears out the spinner gears. I have had mine replaced. Just another money grab. Now I need to replace the drain pump. More money. I only do on average 3 loads a week. Thats not a lot for me to have had to make 2 repairs. I dont recommend. LG makes a good TV. They should stick to that.

We purchased a $1,000 LG washing machine in October 2011. We had always bought Kenmore, but the salesperson said that LG was a great company with good products. So we made the purchase. When the machine was delivered I had noticed on the interior rim that the paint (porcelain?) finish was not smooth in a couple of places about the size of a quarter - this would be directly under the spray head and another area a few inches from the spray head. The delivery person didnt seem to think this was an issue. About 2 years later I noticed that the area directly under the spray head was turning brown, but I didnt think twice about it because at the time I didnt realize this round piece of plastic was a spray head. Well today when I was wiping down the interior of the machine 2 places the size of a pencil eraser came off exposing the metal of the machine. So I called LG to find out what could be done. The first person asked me to upload them and photo, which I did. She told me this was rust and LG would not do anything as this is considered cosmetic. Im like REALLY, this machine is less than 4 years old and rusting. Yup that was the answer. Not good enough for me. So I had purchased an extended warranty - warranty only covered moving parts but they gave me some advice. They told me, in their opinion, this was poor workmanship/defective product and LG should be responsible. So I called LG back and this time I spoke to a head supervisor, of course this was after I had to go through the whole issue with another service rep, just like it was my first call. This woman was so rude, kept cutting me off when I was talking and could not have cared less so I asked that I speak to her supervisor. I asked 3 times to talk to her supervisor and she told me that they do not handle this type of issue and NO I could not talk to them. She repeatedly kept cutting me off saying she would give me phone numbers for some companies to come and make the repair. I am ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT but not sure how to get in touch with those of you that indicated you want to do the same.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

The features I liked about the LG refrigerator was my double side by side doors and the ice maker and water dispenser were the best part of it all. I would get it again if I needed another one anytime soon. The Only thing I didnt like was I think there could have been more shelves and storage room inside it. Overall it has been a really good refrigerator though, so I really cant complain about it too much. I never really had any issues. The reason I purchased the LG refrigerator when I did Is due to a sale they had going on at the time and I liked the style of the fridge. I chose this brand over other brands because I have purchased LG in the past and never had any issues with them at all.

NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT! I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen. Less than 10 months ago. The seal cracked and the light stays on constant. The sensor is very annoying. Going off all hours of the night. I have called Lowe’s to get nothing but a runaround, called LG numerous times, one service man showed up and never returned. The next appliance repair man notified me and cancelled due to LG not paying service providers for their work. On top of when I call LG, I am placed on hold for over an hour every single phone call and never make any lead way. I actually filed a claim the beginning of November 2018 and just a few days ago they tried to say my warrant had expired. I am irate and feel with all the complaints I have read on here, the company should be shut down by consumer service. How ridiculous to take advantage of consumers. Also, their extended warranty is just like throwing money into a fire. So useless! I have never been so upset over a purchase of any appliance like I am today with LG. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I ever shop at Lowe’s again! Less than one year old and no one will stand good for this “Lemon” of a refrigerator. I hope these people that treat others so bad get what they deserve after leaving this earth. Some of us work hard, do the right thing, and get walked on by shysters like LG. Very, very sad! I teach children to make the right choices in life. How upsetting to have to deal with inconsiderate businesses like LG. I really feel for the people that work for them. I would be embarrassed to admit that I worked for a business like LG. If you can’t afford to stand good for your products, you should just quit building junk!!! It’s a big rip off! LG is JUNK! They will never get my business again. BEWARE of THEIR LEMON PRODUCTS!

It doesnt have the agitator and thats just fine! Blankets, quilts, heavy towels go in without issues. As for the dryer, I have a choice on how to open the loading door! Either to the right? I purchased 3 Kitchen Appliances from RCWilley las Vegas Nv. on 07/02/2020 because of the rebate offered by a LG Appliance rebate (Bundle Savings) if we purchased 3 or more of their qualifying products and that is what we did. We bought an Oven, Dishwasher and Refrigerator. The Sales Associate gave us the form and Serial Number of the qualifying products to fill in and mail into LG USA Inc. located in Memphis Tn. 38101. Several months went by and I called their #1-877-333-9203 and they confirmed my rebate was in process. NO REBATE to Date. 11/11/2020. I would not trust this companys promise of getting a rebate. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is not true. Totally DISAPPOINTED WITH LG.

Im very disappointed with the LG dishwasher I purchased a little over two years ago. I cannot believe after two years of maybe 100 uses (generous estimate) it already is useless. It will sometimes work and most of the time automatically shuts off. I did not purchase an extra warranty since I had a Whirlpool at my rental unit (over 7 years old, maybe more!) and did not have any trouble with it. When I called the service center they basically said I would have to pay for the service call, labor AND parts! I will NEVER buy an LG product again!

They need to be urgently recalled. After research I have found the same LG washing machines that have exploded in other people’s home. LG refuse to even replace the machine even with a receipt provided. These machines are dangerous. Please Beware when purchasing a LG washing machine. They are dangerous. I’m very thankful that I wasn’t standing in front of it at the time or my young grandchildren weren’t in the house. Very frightening experience and to think the company know these machines have the potential to Explode and do nothing. Very dangerous product.

Our LG refrigerator (LFW31925SW) has stopped cooling/freezing. After reading the MANY reviews, I am very concerned. I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Is there a way to get this repaired without having to do a repair again in the near future?

I also purchased an LG LFX31925ST Refrigerator and after 3 1/2 years worth of use it broke down. I spent over 5 months going back and forth with LG on fixing it, had numerous repair visits, where they tried to fixed the compressor and sealed systems. In the end they offered my 1200$ for a buyback on the fridge but I have to buy another LG refrigerator. There is no way that I want to give LG any more of my money after what I just went through. 1200$ doesnt come anywhere close to covering the cost of a new refrigerator. Just so everyone knows they replaced the some of the tubing that used to be copper with regular metal tubing that sits in a water reservoir. This attaches to the compressor and after a couple of years it rusts and you lose all of the freon in the fridge. I cant tell you how many 1F and FF errors that I keep getting on the Fridge. LG customer service is terrible. They dont give any power to do anything. After dealing with them for almost 2 months a started a countdown on my Twitter feed to see how long it would take to get it fixed. I started go over my problems in the middle of July. We are now in Jan. Right now I am contemplating on whether I want to use the 1200 that LG is giving me or not. LG is the worst.

My LG refrigerator has shown weird behaviors and lately ER CO on display and shortly stopped making ice. The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

I chose this fridge because it got good ratings with Consumer Reports. They must not read these reviews! Our experience was similar to others here. The fridge worked great for 18 months and then the freezer quit. First local authorized agent was not up to the task and walked away after wasting three weeks of our time. Second agent, an hour distant, did get the compressor replaced (bravo!), but by then we had been down for 38 days. It took many phone calls. Although the young people who answer at LG were friendly and tried to help, it was frustrating to hear the life is good recording with each call as the days kept passing. LG did cover the repair cost.It has now been five months and so far everything is fine. But I wonder if this compressor, which Im told is the same model as the defective one, is likely to fail in another year or so. And will they cover the cost again? And will it take a month again? Another concern is the cost to the environment of these new high efficiency appliances which apparently have a much shorter service life than the old models.

My 3 yr old LG fridge compressor stopped working. It is the linear compressor and when the technician came to repair the fridge he stated the compressor needs to be replaced with an updated model. This did not fix the fridge. The 2nd attempt was a different company that stated the first repair was wrong and replaced the compressor and lower evaporator. This still didnt fix the fridge. The first tech returned and stated the lower evaporator was installed incorrectly and attempted a repair with little confidence it would work. I have contacted LG and they refuse to replace or fix the fridge at this point because I cannot find the receipt. I contacted the location I purchased it and I am unable to get a copy of the receipt. At this point the $3800 fridge is just a large paperweight that will cost me to recycle. LG has horrible customer service and refuses to honor their warranty and back their service techs work. After returning home from a 4 day trip my wife and I noticed that our frozen food was thawing out on our freezer. I checked our temperature settings to make sure that they were correct and watched to see if maybe our freezer was going through a defrost cycle. It wasn’t and the next day we had to remove our food to another refrigerator that we have so the food didn’t spoil. I contacted LG support and set up an appointment for service which was several days later. The technician came out and diagnosed a bad compressor and coils which he replaced. It took a couple of days before the ice maker even started to make ice again and thought that was strange but everything in the freezer froze so we thought we were good. After about 3 weeks we noticed that everything was thawing again and I contacted the technician directly and told him what was happening. He came out again and checked my unit and found a pinhole that caused the Freon to leak out. He repaired it and all was well until about a week ago we noticed that our ice cream was turning into milkshakes so I called the technician again and he came out and checked our refrigerator and told my wife that there was nothing wrong with it according to what his computer readouts said. By the next morning the frozen food in the freezer was thawed out and we had a large puddle of water on the floor from the upper ice maker thawing out and the water from the ice running all over the floor. I sent the technician a text and he told me that there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call customer support and file for a new repair order because he said he couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I sent him the pics I have attached and he said that ambient air temps won’t give correct readings to which I responded that the temp readings were off the walls of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. No response back on that comment.I have a different LG technician scheduled to come out tomorrow to evaluate our situation and hopefully he can fix it or get us replacement refrigerator because this one apparently defective. By the way, the refrigerator that we have had to move our food into is a GE Profile that we have had for over 15 years and have never had an issue with.

We bought an LG dishwasher in December of 2018 and just 4 months later it totally crapped out. We called LG and they wanted to send a service repairman that was more than two hours away from us. He wanted $1000 upfront to come out as he didn’t want to fight with LG to get paid. We said no. Not for a $700 dishwasher. So we got a guy who is only 40 minutes from our house and is very reputable to come and look at it. When he pulled it out he discovered the control switch had caught fire and burned a hole in the bottom of my cupboard! It could’ve burnt my house down!At time of purchase we bought an extended warranty only to find out it’s not worth the paper it’s written on because we live too far away from the city we bought it. Also the control panel was completely fried. They wouldn’t consider paying us for the guy that came out because he’s not registered with them. Still fighting with them to see if we can get our money back as we don’t want something that is a fire hazard in our house. Do not purchase LG products! They are crap.

Every time I call customer service, I get the equivalent to sorry about your luck. Ive now been over two months without a working refrigerator. Weve had five repair appointments in which the tech actually showed up. We are now waiting more than two weeks for another repair tech appointment. This new appointment has already been bumped back TWICE. LG SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Sadly, Ive learned that nobody at LG cares.

I bought this refrigerator in Sept. 2012. January 2013 I experienced the 1F error message. LG had a tech come out and replace the computer board and the fan. January 2014 same thing happened. They replaced the control board and the fan (the original fan was recalled so a newer fan was put in place). January 2015 freezer frosting up again causing the fan to run all the time. LG says it’s out of warranty however it is the control board that is broke again. They sent a tech out that would not open the door until I gave them a check for $60.00. Then they tell me that LG is just refurbishing the old boards and sending them back to be put back in the refrigerator. They tell me they want $308.00 to replace and that I have to give them $150.00 before they would order. I can’t afford that. This should be LG replacing this as this part is defective and they continue to put defective parts back into the refrigerator and charge the consumer. All I want is a working refrigerator. I will never buy an LG product again. They are deceptive and should be recalling these control boards and replacing them with working boards.

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

Machine does not fully drain, allowing a smell to build up and be washed back into your clothes. Difficult to clean debris from drain holes in rubber seal. In the event that you need to drain the machine, there is no drain function. It needs to be manually drained from a tiny hose at the bottom of machine. And for us, that meant into a hose, through the garage and down the driveway. Look for a drain feature on my next purchase!

LG Microwave Mod# LMC0975ST/01. This microwave came with a very user friendly owners manual, that I like. Unlike my other microwaves this one has a hexagon rotating ring with six wheels for the glass tray to sit on. Plus the glass tray has glass bump outs on the bottom that fit into a bump out shaft on the microwave bottom. No more dislocated dishes falling or sliding off. This microwave has performed better than I expected and I have enjoyed using it from day one. It has all the usual programs like, Smart diagnosis, Auto cook, Auto reheat, Popcorn, Defrost, Power level, Cook time, Stop/clear, Start/enter, interrupted cooking. There is a beautiful sleek smoke glass full front panel that will match any decor. I found the tip section on what to use, or not to use, when it comes to microwave-safe cookware very useful. There is also a Child Lock safety feature, and the sound signals are very audible on this microwave. There is a clock, Kitchen timer and a easy to use, slide touch timer. Dont forget to read the maintenance section. I found it very helpful. Limited warranty for Canada or the USA, is provided at the back and there is also a 1-800 number plus their website.

I called the company back where I purchased it and they would not do anything, I called service and the man told me the clean cycle works correctly. I called LG and they got their money so that is all they care about. I am extremely disappointed with my LG appliances. This supposed clean cycle does not clean. I was told at one time this is designed to be cleaned after each use. I do not have time or energy to clean my oven everyday. Yes everyday! I cook something everyday. I am 70 years old and physically cannot get down on my hands and knees to clean an oven frequently. I will NEVER buy another LG again. Soon this stove will be sitting at the curb as trash!

I bought an LG French door refrigerator November of 2014. Just before the end of the 1 year warranty the refrigerator started making noises. I didnt get around to calling LG until the beginning of December 2015. LG refused to help me unless I purchased an extended warranty for $250. I later called an appliance repairman and was told the noise was my compressor going out. After a year of service?! Are you kidding me?! I proceeded to call LG back to get the compressor replaced (which has a 10 year warranty), they once again wouldnt help me unless I purchased the extended warranty for $250. Really? You spend $3000 on a refrigerator and call for a repair under the warranty, after a year and half (at this point) and you have to spend more money to repair your piece of $3000 junk?! DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU!

The refrigerator worked fine for the first 2 1/2years. Since then we have had repair out 4 times in the last 4 months. The cooling system keeps going out. Condenser, fan, you name it. I have lost food 4 times. My husband has called the 1-800 number numerous times. They just keep sending out a repair person to no avail. Last time, after going through 2 supervisors, LG agreed to send us a $200 check for food and said to give the repair person one more chance to fix the problem and if it did not work LG would consider doing something more. The repair person came out and my fridge has been working for 4 days now. I await the next outage. I have no confidence that the problem is fixed and I am sure I will be calling them again. LG makes a lot of great products but refrigerators are not included and I will NEVER buy another one.

For the first three years, I was quite happy with the LG washer and dryer. Not quite at the four year mark and the washer needs serious service (Luckily I bought the extended warranty because LG only offers a 1 year warranty - do they know something the consumer doesnt??). The repair man came out yesterday (had to take the day off as they only work until 4:00) and he found that the repair is quite serious and needs a number of new parts. He said it is a two-man job and they will come back in two weeks as the parts will take a while to be ordered!!! I requested a reimbursement for having to go to the laundromat, but Geek Squad discontinued that part of the extended warranty in 2014! LG doesnt offer it at all - again, do they know something the consumer doesnt. In any event, I will NEVER AGAIN BUY AN LG PRODUCT!!!

We purchased an LG top load washer and dryer set on 1/25/2012. It just completely stopped working mid-cycle yesterday, 08/06/2012, locking both pairs of my sons shoes in there. Today is the first day of school and he had to borrow a friends pair of shoes. But it gets worse when I called LG when this happened. She gave me numbers of two service people in my area, or so she thought. I called them both and they do not service my area. There is no one that services my area. I called LG back, they said they would call me back when they get a resolution and that could take 5-6 business days. I have 2 pairs of $100.00 shoes in a washer and cannot get them out. By the time I do get them out, they will probably be ruined. I should not be experiencing this problem with what I consider a brand new washer and dryer. I have 3 children and another due in 6 weeks, and my raging hormones are raging!

The repair guy shows up today to tell me the compressor is shot (again, after only 8 months) and he does not have one on his truck! He had 2 and used both this morning!! Now with the New Year Holiday one will not be delivered until next week and the repairman hopes he can get out to fix it then. Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone’s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn’t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment. After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road. After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn’t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month’s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn’t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don’t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I’m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It’s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let’s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won’t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don’t want the hassle of it, but I won’t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG’s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.

I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. 2017 FH4U2VCN Front load washing machine - Quite the most unreliable machine I have purchased in 60 years. Constantly stops at the rinse/spin stage with uneven load flagged. After 6 months of this I had LG engineer call and make the usual excuses too much load, too little load, wrong type of mix. What a load of tosh. To placate me he replaced the motor and housing to what seems no improvement whatsoever. It is now 12 months old and unless it is fixed once and for all it will go back to Currys and legal action will follow. The machine fails to complete on average three out of every five washes. At this point Currys is not in the picture as servicing has to go through LGs totally abysmal website where they cant even manage to email you that your complaint has been received - just warning you only to sent report once! What the blazes is that about?

I do love the French door refrigerator with the exterior water and ice dispenser. I did have difficulty with the exterior coating (called black stainless steel, which it is not) chipping off and had to fight tooth and nail to get anything done because they called it a cosmetic issue. I was not. It kept flaking. It was a defect in the coating. The refrigerator itself has been easy to clean, has multiple shelf options, and I love the wide drawer at the bottom. The freezer also has a top drawer to keep all those smaller things that can get lost in the bottom of a freezer. Also space enough for me to separate my meat from everything else, so I can see quickly what I need to replenish. The ice maker is great! Options to make extra if youre having guests is a great feature and you can switch from cube to crushed.

We purchased the LG front loader washer & dryer for our daughter & son-in-law as a gift in 2012. It is only 3 years old & the washer start button does not work! They have been without a washer for weeks. This is ridiculous to have this happen with such a new expensive washer! Now the repairman said the part is on back order!!! OMG! LG should send them a new washing machine!! Needless to say, with a household of 3, there is a lot of laundry. On back order, how long will it take to get the part in?

First review I have ever written but due to the inferior product this company has produced I feel it is absolutely necessary. We purchased this LG Top Loading Washer Model WT5070CW in Sept. 2014 after losing our Kenmore in a house fire. This machine sprung a leak and flooded our house wrecking our new engineered floor. The 5 yr. extended warranty was purchased but that only helps with the repair bill. Home Depot tried to go to bat for us to get our insurance deductible back but no luck. When the repairman came out he said it was one cap that had come unglued and per a call to his superiors he was told to simply glue the cap back on. This was their big fix. First of all, why in the world is there only a glued on cap between the consumer and another very expensive flooded floor repair?! When the insurance company tried to work with them they said they doubted that is even what caused the problem... Really! Im taking this lousy company to small claims but doubt it will do any good. I think what caused the cap to come off is the amount of shaking and rattling this washer goes through during spin cycles! Like all stated before me, dont buy any of their products - absolute garbage! And shame on Home Depot and other companies for continuing to sell their sub-par products!

The title says it all. I had the unfortunate incident of cracking the stove top glass of my LG stove top when I was holding my one year old boy and I accidentally dropped a drinking glass about 1 foot from the glass. I went to the LG website and the price quoted was $844 + tax. I called 3 appliance repair guys and they all said, that nobody should ever by LG stove foe this very reason. THAT THE PARTS ARE OUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED!!!! Why didnt the LOWES appliance sales guy tell me that when I bought asked for advice on whether or not I should be local or LG? I spent almost $20,000 on all new LG appliances a few years ago. Never again! I will now buy locally manufactured goods because parts are readily available and significantly less costly. Expensive lesson learned. LG builds obsolescence into their products by outrageously charging exorbitant prices on parts! LG should be ashamed of themselves. A little mistake would now cost me and my family about $1000 to replace a glass top that is almost as expensive as a brand new stove. I will be throwing the LG stove out the window and will be buying a new locally manufactured stove. Will never ever buy LG again.

LG Refrigerator Model LFX31925ST - I purchased this refrigerator March 25, 2012. On November 20, 2017 I returned home and the refrigerator/freezer were warm and unit was no longer cooling. I called LG Support which states that they are available 24/7. This is not accurate. After spending approximately 20 minutes on the phone the agent was to book an appointment that would take up to 5 working days. I told her this was unacceptable. She gave me the telephone number to call to see if I could get an earlier appointment on my own. After several attempts to a cellular phone number with a mailbox that was full I began contacting LG Support once again. At 5:10 pm November 21, 2017 I was told by a different customer support agent (Ron) that in fact NO appointment had been booked. So I asked the agent to please book this appointment and voiced my sincere frustration with LG. Throughout the conversation hints were dropped and upon clarifying with this agent in fact the 5 working days is just a timeline for someone (and I stress someone because they would not tell me who) would get back to me to actually book an appointment. I attempted to have other reputable local repair shops do the work (including the distributor where I purchased the LG Appliance here in Edmonton Alberta) to be told by every one of them they cannot do the repairs because LG would not sell them the parts. LG has cornered their repair market and the consumer has no way of expediting repairs to critical necessities. This is an unacceptable practice in my eyes and this is not stated anywhere in the warranty documents. This is misleading and irresponsible practice. As a customer who has spent hard earned money on LGs product and has to wait a minimum of 5 working days just to find out when an appointment will be made is ridiculous. Some complaints indicate upwards of three weeks for service. LG did not seem to care about this logic and came off like our present prime minister and just re-responded that someone will contact me within 5 working days (now 6 because the first agent didnt book an appointment at all).

I wished I can give a no star review to the LG French Door product. I bought them more than $3000 French fridge for less than 10 months and it stopped working. No cool, no freezer and non ice maker. First call went to the other part of the world and they did some diagnostic. Then told to wait 24 hours so everything would be ok. After 24 hours, to have to throw all the food. Called again, set appointment and got the confirmation email. There was nobody show up. Called again, they said it scheduled for two days later. When I ask why I got email reminder they said maybe the computer glitch that did by itself. It like a jokes. The world still quite not advanced in artificial intelligence yet. Now LG customer service is not sure if the service man will keep the appointment. If anyone read this review, please do not buy any LG product ever. Do Not Spend Money and Buy Headaches.

The looks are appealing. Its function has been great. Everything in its design is functional and the movable shelves are really nice as to cleaning I can remove the glass and clean any spills that occur. It has the spill proof shelves when there is a spill its so easy to clean up. Its quiet when running as we have an open concept room so that doesnt interfere. I love the bottom freezer and will always opt for that as there is so much storage and the convenience of two drawers to pull out what I need. I can also pull that out and clean when needed.

LG service was great on the phone except to get an LG Tech was a week wait. They then set up a service call (work order) with this company I never heard of. That company called me and wanted model and serial number so he can order a new compressor. (What?). They haven’t even been on-site to diagnose it. I guess he has seen enough and already knows it’s the compressor. 3 days now with no fridge, loss of over $1200.00 in groceries and $14.00 per day in ice. I am on with LG now to cancel that shady company they set up appointment with. I was told maybe a week an LG tech could come on-site. Another week with no fridge for a family of 6 is completely unacceptable.

I am not a wealthy woman so when I bought the LG fridge I thought it would last a long time (Only replaced because my 14 yr. old fridge died). It is 2.5 years old and it quit on December 24, 2017 (our Christmas dinner sitting in that fridge was ruined). I called their customer service dept., was hung up on the first call; the girl I spoke with last did the smartphone diagnosis which truly is a joke. Said freezer door was open. It wasnt and hadnt been. All the food inside was lost, so we are now trying to make do with a small cooler to keep a few things. Dont know when or if it will be fixed. Bought at Home Depot and Ill tell you neither LG nor Home Depot is going to do anything. I dont know what Im going to do. I dont have the money to replace all the food lost. Its so very frustrating. Ive heard so many complaints since this happened. Wish there was a group lawsuit; Id join in. If you go on Home Depot site, the new customers just love them. Hope they wont have this happen but Im sure now that most will. Wish I could warn anyone whos going to buy one and I hope this helps.

We bought our LG fridge (model # LBC22520SW /03) new back in 2011 (it was on back-order at the time, because apparently many others were duped into purchasing this piece of junk). It is now one year old. I never knew an appliance could simultaneously be so cheap and yet so expensive. The first time I had to call the repairman was three months after the purchase (he didnt even call me back until two days later; by that time, I had fixed the stupid thing myself). The problem, ironically, is that the freezer fan cannot operate under cold conditions. We cant use our ice maker or it will make the fan freeze over, which in turn makes the freezer and fridge stop working. But it doesnt stop there! If we fill our freezer 1/4 full with food, it makes the freezer too cold and the fan will freeze over, and again the fridge stops working. But wait, theres more ... Weve now lowered the freezer temperature to its lowest setting, but apparently thats still too cold for this cheap fan to handle. Thawing the fan with boiling water has now become an activity that we must do twice daily. Weve lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention the overpriced cost of the fridge to begin with. Do yourself a favor and dont buy an LG fridge!

Updated on 05/30/2020: As I stated in previous review this dishwasher has a manufacturing problem and LG refuses to do anything because it been too long!! It was made without railing on the bottom and thats why the basket keeps falling inside the machine. To refresh, they sent me about a year ago 2 new baskets, which of course didnt help. I dont know anything about machinery so I wasnt aware of the problem. A very nice problem resolver named Sean called and took pictures and told me what the problem was in the manufacturing and that he would resolve my problem and would be calling me in 1 HOUR. Well, its been 5 days and NO CALL!! Each time I have called customer service for an update they get snooty with me and keep giving me the run around. I WILL NOT be purchasing anymore LG products they do not stand by their products. For Sean who said he would help go to hell!!Original Review: LG makes an excellent washer with the exception of my lower basket. From day one Ive had a problem with it and LG sent me another one and it lasted less than 1 year. The bottom basket falls off the runner constantly and I am a senior that would prefer not to have to lift the entire basket filled with dishes to try to push it backside the washer. The model # is LDT9965BD and I bought it a Best Buy and Best Buy refused to help me. So Ive had this washer for 3 years and everyday the same problem. If I could buy another dishwasher I would. Also the things on the top and bottom move and I have to keep adjusting them and the utensil holder is a problem as it breaks apart and now is permanently broken. I could live with the others things. Its the bottom basket running off the rails everyday that is challenging. LG will not resolve this issue so I live with this aggravation on a daily basis.

The look of the refrigerator was pleasing. Particularly liked the ability to get both water and several types of ice from the door. I also thought the look of the refrigerator was appealing. The way the freezer was designed was horrible though. There was not enough room and the drawer was very flimsy. Likewise, it was difficult to share, like in a roommate situation. But liked the way it was designed with a gun metal-like sheen to it. It was extremely deep and didnt look like it would be hard for a short person to make use of the shelves.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator 3 to 4 years ago with Model Number LFC21760ST and Serial Number **. Within 6 months time, the plastic shelves in the top refrigerator broke. The company replaced them with the same shelves after I called to complain. Within 6 more months or so, the same shelves broke again, then the long tray shelf cracked completely in two pieces. I did not call to complain as there was no point in asking for more junk replacement parts. This morning, when I opened the refrigerator, the light box had fallen and the contents of my refrigerator were hot from the two hanging light bulbs. I called the company service number above and was told this is a common problem and theyll come out to fix the light bulb box only, not all the broken flimsy plastic shelves. How can I warn consumers not to buy this product? It is just my husband and I who use this refrigerator, and it has not been abused. This was not an inexpensive product, yet it was constructed with junk materials. Please advise buyers to beware of this LG product line. Thank You,Jeanne

Purchased a new LG dishwasher on 12/17/20. Model #LDT5678SS. Delivered on 12/20/20. Used MAYBE a dozen times & now there is rust in the bottom of the tub & on the door. Since it is now past 30 days Lowes will not fix/replace it so we reached out to LG since there is a 1 year warranty. The tech they sent out said he owned the same model & kept his outside & his didnt do that. Then he went out to his truck, made a phone call, came back in & told us to call Customer Service & left. We called customer service who informed us the tech said it was improper use on our part. We only used Cascade & water. I dont understand how this is improper use!We also purchased the 5 year extended warranty from Lowes, but because it is still under manufacture warranty, they cannot help either. They also stated that rust on the tub & door is considered cosmetic & would not be covered. Even though in the back of the LG book, that came with the dishwasher, it states there is a lifetime warranty on the tub & 1 year warranty on the parts/labor.So now we are stuck with a brand new rusting dishwasher that sticks like rust inside & Im sure will only get worse with time but thats considered cosmetic. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN. Its sad because we used to love LG. Own several LG TVs & also just purchased a LG Microwave which Im going to return before the 30 days. We were also looking at purchasing the matching stove & refrigerator but that is definitely out of the question now!! Between the Dishwasher, connectors & warranty we paid over $1,000 & now were stuck with it!

We bought our French door refrigerator around December of 2018 when we purchased our new house. We have loved our unit until one day both of the coils for the fridge and freezer part went out. I placed a repair order in August of 2020. LG outsourced the repair work to a local repair shop which was fine. Here it is 10/25/2020 and we are still without a refrigerator. I have contacted LG and the repair company numerous times and nothing is being done about it. LG has basically washed their hands of the whole situation and put it on the backs of the repair company. I got tired of waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired because we have a large family (family of 8); I called LG back once more and requested LG to replace or refund the money from the initial purchase. Since then we are going on 2 weeks and I have still yet to hear from LG as to what the decision is on replacing it or refunding the money. We was happy with the unit while it was working but since then it has been a complete nightmare and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE because of this incident. I hope my review helps clear the air up for anyone thinking about making a purchase of a LG product.

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! This second tech find out the LG guy never replace the water pump and LG tech DAVID ** sabotage our machine cutting the wires. This way our machine will never show codes anymore.Apex tech pass the information about what happen to LG and again when I called LG they dont have any info about it. Looks like they cover each other. I dont know exactly. ANYWAYS, if I describe all terrible time what happens to get my machine fixed will take me more than 24 hrs to do it, anyways if you already purchased any LG items youre **... Just watch out for this guy DAVID **. If your machine is broke or if its another tech from LG be on him make sure he fixed your expensive machine. LG COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE. NEVER EVER WE WILL BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND.

I bought an LG washing machine and ever since we had it, we have had nothing but problems with it. We had it repaired three times and it is still not right. It got so bad that we have bought another washing machine for a spare, not lg. While we wait for it to be repaired, even with know-how insurance we still cant get no satisfaction. Their logo ‘lifes good’ does not live up to their name.

I like that the features are easy to use. The refrigerator helps a lot. It does more than my last one did and is more stable. My whole family loves it and I dont know why I would do if I had the old one still til this day. All features are great and it was within my budget and we really needed it. The last one is just so old and is about to finally break on us but this one isnt and we will have it for at least 6 years. The LG brand is the best refrigerator. I also like Samsung but LG is more popular and has the better reviews and the most likes so I see why people recommend it and Im glad I got it for the family. It was the best decision I ever made for a the best price I could ever get it oils really awesome in my house.

Our 2 year old LG refrigerator (LFX31945ST) stopped cooling. Called LG and they sent a link to troubleshoot it, and was useless. Called LG back and they had me do the Smart Sensor test over the phone, and said they saw that the fridge wasnt working but couldnt tell me any details and gave me 3 numbers to call for local company to come fix it... To be continued...

Have a LG freezer in bottom french door refrigerator. Have complained about how noisy it is from the first couple of weeks. Model number LFX25991ST. Repairman came and I was told they all sound like this. Sounds like a lawnmower is running in the kitchen.

I bought an LG smart inverter refrigerator 2 years ago, about a year ago the ice maker started making the ice taste disgusting so we stopped using it, around 2 or 3 months ago we started smelling something like a sweet chemical almost like antifreeze, everything that comes out of my refrigerator now tastes like chemicals, we haven’t enjoyed a meal in weeks and my kids have damned near stopped eating altogether. I have a technician coming out next week and I sure hope this is rectified.

Our refrigerator is 2 years and 1 month old. The linear compressor has already gone out. Weve been without a refrigerator for almost a week and now we were told that a known problem, the compressor will take another 2 weeks. If you know there is an issue why keep your customers waiting and why have you not recalled and fix the problem?

I purchased the above appliance from Sears about 4-5 years ago (need to find the receipt to be accurate) and it has been a nightmare. I have used many boxes of the cleaning product made by Tide to deodorize and contacted a serviceman (at my additional expense) who instructed me to use bleach (only to discover the bleach dispenser is not dependable), remove the entire dispensing tray after each day of laundry, dry the door seal and inside of machine, and leave the door ajar when not in use...... I continue to have a problem with a sickening smell emanating from my clean laundry. I am quite convinced that this washing machine does not clean my laundry...... Whites are grey to beige! Very often, I find wads of soap in towels which I believe is due to an inadequate amount of water. An answer to this aggravating and unhealthy problem would be wonderful. Thank you.

We have had LG for eighteen years and only one belt broke during that time. Full loads dry with 35 minutes and there are several options for both temperature and time to choose from. Also very quiet.
