Product Reviews:

Years ago, I purchased matching LG Front Load Washing Machine (2233H) & Gas Dryer; cost approx. $2500. At first, my biggest issue was that the Dryer (largest capacity), could not/still cannot effectively tumble my California King sheets. As such, I still have to stop the cycle mid-way, untangle then fluff the sheets and restart the cycle! With my OLD top loading basic Whirlpool machine, I never had this problem. As for LG Washing Machine (2233H), after about a year, I developed serious and long-standing sinus issues but never thought of my washing machine being the source of the problem, until it began to smell funky and I did some online research. I found that this machine and other front loaders have issues with mold; however, I thought I was exempt from this since I always a) always keep the door open; b) frequently run the tub clean option and c) regularly clean the rubber rim!One day, I was reading an article about children, who had been admitted to the same hospital and later died; it was proven that these already ill children were given linens with mold spores on them. With already comprised immune systems, the mold spores entered these childrens sinus cavity then attacked their brains and, in turn, killed them! The laundry facility that was used by the hospital was found to have a mold problem!! So, I became more diligent with my washing machine. I took bleach and vinegar and tried to clean not just the rubber rim but further inside.Tonight, I was also fed up with the fact that bleach and softener never dispense. So, I went online and found an article stating that this part might be clogged and to take the dispenser drawer out then clean it. To my surprise, I found BLACK MOLD on the underside of the drawer as well as in the machine opening [where the drawer fits into]. It is so ingrained into the top underside of the opening that I cant get it off. I am now more alarmed about health issues that this washing machine Black Mold problem has been causing and might still be causing. So, I went online again and find that LG and other front load manufacturers have just settled class-action suits for this issue but not admitted any fault!!!! LG never sent any notice to me and the deadline has just expired. Furthermore, the settlement to each machine owner is pathetic, especially, considering 1) initial cost of these machines and 2) replacement cost for a new machine [as you will never get rid of the black mold throughout the existing machine]. Government needs to protect consumers from big corporations abuse since attorneys of class actions are the only ones who benefit. For this specific issue, people need to contact their local politicians to work on behalf of their constituents to get lemon laws passed in respect to these defective machines, which manufacturers continued to produce and sell with full knowledge of the serious potential and probable health risks to consumers [adults, seniors, children] due to exposure to common black mold formation. Manufacturers of machine models found to have black mold should be mandated to replace each of these machines with top loaders of the consumer choice.

3 yr old Kenmore (LG manufactured) refrigerator went out at Thanksgiving. Sears was very slow to respond. Tech came out and immediately said it was compressor without even touching the fridge. He said they were replacing them left and right. Part was ordered and it took two weeks to get it. He came back out and it was either the wrong part or it wasn’t a functioning compressor. Fast forward to now and we received the compressor on Tuesday and they are telling us it will be next week before anyone will come out to make repair. It has been 6 weeks now without a refrigerator. We went out and bought a 4 cubic foot fridge that gets us by - barely. Don’t know if it will work when they come back again next week but hopeful. Sick of LG and Sears!

We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

I was so frustrated with my LG Front load Dryer we purchased in 2016 as after about 1.5 years use, the dryer started DESTROYING our clothing. Clothing would catch off the edge of the lint filter ending up in a twisted knot, shredded. I checked online for other people with a similar problem and found someone else experienced what I had. I had my husband take a look and he found a collection of lint stopping the filter going in all the way. He added a cardboard extension to the long narrow vacuum cleaner attachment. (Has to reach down 10 into the narrow channel.) We could not believe the amount of lint was sucked out. PROBLEM WAS SOLVED - filter goes all the way down. Hope LG has fixed this issue in future models.

We decided to replace our stacking washer/dryer with a new front loading combo. While there are more features than you can shake a stick at, there is a nice electronic tune that plays at the end of a wash and the wash seems very efficient, the dryer is less performant. The standard dry cycle seems to take 6 hours and even though there is an option to dry for less, anything under 2 hours and the clothes are still wet. I'm still happy overall with the purchase - I like the easy-fill detergent/softener drawer, the build quality of the whole appliance and the large drum to hold the clothes so I would definitely recommend it to others.

We bought our LG Refrigerator on May 2018 from Jetson in Stuart, FL and it stop cooling on December 30th 2021. An LG technician came in and told me he had bad news for me, he could not work in the unit due to Sulfur Contamination and his company advised him not to fix the unit. When I asked him, what could cause such contamination, he said it is because the Chinese Drywalls. Our refrigerator Model #LSXS26366D is in the list of defective linear compressors in the LG Class Action Lawsuit. Our previous refrigerator was plugged in the same area for 13 years and never had a problem. We moved the old refrigerator to the garage, and it is still working under heat and humidity in a Florida garage. Our Air condition company certified that all our lines are clean with no contamination. All the appliances in our house are working properly, including our LG Washer and Dryer.Today I called a specialized company in the Chinese drywall detection and they never heard of a refrigerator failing due to Chinese drywalls. This is not possible. Also, they mentioned that a Technician cant diagnose a contamination without testing the particles. I work in a power plant company in Florida and all the Engineers stated that the compressor is in a sealed environment with no co-relation to the outside elements. I have called the LG Customer Service multiple times requesting a written service call invoice as the Technician did not leave a written diagnose. LG refused to produce the document and the customer service rep hanged up on me.The second customer service told me to call a third-party repair company a pay out of my pocket. Today another rep offered 20% rebate on a new purchase. Again, the refrigerator is three years old and under warranty for five years under a Class Action Settlement for this Unit. There is no proof and no explanation on writing of the cause of failure. Yesterday we called again, and the customer service rep said that our refrigerator is irreparable. She transferred us to a Supervisor by the name Arthur, we request a diagnose on writing and he said not to be allowed to send emails and he will send a request a copy of the service call. Please help us to receive repair for our fridge under warranty. Thank you.

The pedestal washer catches fabrics and causes damage. The front load washer is loud - with just 5 t-shirts and 1 beach towel seem to stress the machine. When the cycle gets to rinse/spin it produces loud thuds and disturbing noise. The dryer drum is bent, or warped, it has a raised hard plastic that hooks and drags clothing items while the machine is in dry cycle thereby causing threads to pull away from the garments. It has only been 6 months since purchasing the washer and dryer and the extensive damage is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Meanwhile the company we purchased from is making every effort to avoid responsibility/accountability or remedial action.

I purchased the stackable washer and dryer 2/2014. Never again. I have had the technicians here because the dryer does not dry. I was told that the clothes are dry according to foreign standards, but In the US we want the clothes dry. At 61 years old I thought I heard it all but to my surprise that was the silliest ever. If I did not want to dry clothes then I would not have bought a dryer. The clothes take about 90 minutes to dry, not very energy efficient. Also, the machines are not made for 50 tall people. I use a step stool to start and empty the dryer. This machine was a very costly mistake. I asked Lowes to pro-rate the machines because I only had them since February but they said no. They have a 30-day return policy. I wish I never purchased these machines. I will only buy American if possible.

I purchased a fridge and a gas ranger from LG buy American just a little over a year ago. And immediately after, the range burners control knobs started cracking and falling. The fridge rubber gaskets on the door started to come off. The parts are very expensive and do not correct the original defects in the product. I am ashamed of these products, and I will not recommend it to anyone. LG, shame on you.

After less than one year of owning my stainless LG gas range, the 5 knobs, which are made to mimic stainless, bubbled on the outside and cracked at the attachment spot. LG replaced them as it was within the warranty period. That was February 12, 2011. Less than one year later, 4 of 5 knobs are again bubbled and broken. I have not phoned LG to see their response yet but regardless, clearly the quality is incredibly poor.

Purchased an LG french door fridge five years ago this past June from PC Richards. Woke up this morning to find my fridge stopped working. Called repairman and was told it was the computer. Over $400 to fix. Now, naturally my warranty ran out June 1. So, Im left with a fridge that I paid over $1200 for that doesnt work ONLY after five years. Things are definitely not made like they used to be! I will NEVER buy or recommend an LG product again. What a waste of money.

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. My range cost $1,232 and for that expense I get a bag of trouble and face a company that will not yet (after five months) stand behind the unit to properly repair or replace it.

Love the sensors that are inside to control the cooking of the unit, great for popcorn and re-heating. This microwave has the ability of re-heating a cup of coffee without giving it that burnt taste. We especially like the increased capacity of the inside of the oven itself, and like the way it fits under the cabinet over the stove and is vented to the outside.

We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our stand
We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our standards. The biggest problem is the knobs on the gas stove. The knobs should be ruled as DEFECTIVE and DANGEROUS. In my career I travel quite a bit and even though I have adult kids at home sometimes they do not notice when the gas is on because of the broken knobs. The white plastic on the insides have cracked causing the knobs to just turn but not completely turning the stove off. I have contacted LG and I too have been told to purchase new knobs, however you can purchase the knobs but the problem is still not fixed. I noticed that the new LG stoves have knobs that are very steady. Why not just replace the old knobs with the newer model knobs. I pray that before anything happens like gas explosions, gas leaks etc., they would ruled out that the knobs are defective and update all the former customers with the new knobs. A couple of thousand dollars is better than a couple of million for major lawsuits.

I will never buy another LG product again. I bought a top load washer 3 years ago. It was serviced once under warranty within the year. About 3 months out of warranty I get the UE message constantly. I thought it was no level, leveled it... OOH EE OOH EE UE... I thought it was too many clothes. OOH EEE OOOH EEEE. It is a big joke now between my wife and I although irritating. What good is a high-efficiency washer that uses 50 gallons of water (I am not sure of that amount but it fills the drum 3 times to balance) every time you do a load of laundry. I am sending this one to the junk pile soon. You shouldnt have to buy a new washer every 3 years. Actually this one should have been scrapped a year and a half ago. I think they have the initials backwards LG should be GL... Good Luck!

Purchases an LG Refrigerator in June 2020. Refrigerator started making loud knocking noise. Reached out to Customer Service and they said they can come out on January 4th. Next day I wake up to an error code on the refrigerator and run a diagnosis through their app and tells me the fan motor needs attention, so I call back to see if I can get an earlier appointment. I am told they can cancel the first appointment and get me another appointment set up. So they do and now they are telling me they cant come out until January 5th. Service representative supervisor has zero cares and wouldnt even give me his name and cant understand him at all during the call. I asked to speak to another supervisor that I can understand and refused to transfer me. Then proceeded to ask to speak to his supervisor and he says he can have one call me back but cant promise if I will get a call back. Horrible customer service on their part and I am now hoping my fridge does not go out before they come out.

Just want to chime in here... I just googled I hate my LG refrigerator and am shocked to see so many people PUT OUT, financially, time-wise, logistically... for these EXPENSIVE refrigerators! I had a perfectly good ole side-by-side Whirlpool. Didnt like the freezer, too narrow, couldnt even fit a frozen pizza without taking it out of the box... you probably all know what Im talking about. So my husband buys me this (visually) great-looking LG French door fridge, Christmas last year. 28.8 cubic feet, white and sassy. Pattys in love! Supposedly $3000 but on sale for $1800 at Brandsmart. Still a pretty penny, and I added a 5-year warranty.Last month I was clearing dishes and walked into my kitchen and wiped out in a puddle of water, everything flew everywhere, I landed on my knee... awesome bruise! Lucky I didnt break my neck or cut myself on the wine glasses I was carrying that went crashing to the floor. Angry much? How do I summarize this quickly? Cant! It took two weeks, scads of phone calls (of course ALL calls are taken by someone in Asia and the voice recognition software doesnt recognize the word refrigerator more than half the time and there are no options to actually press a number button)... I lost most of my food, lived out of a cooler, constantly buying ice... when the local fridge repairman came he was GREAT but said it needed a new computer panel. Fine. 3 days later, computer panel installed, fridge working again. More phone calls, claim filed, fought for $150 food reimbursement.STORY OVER? NO! Its happened AGAIN! Puddles on the floor, melted frozen goods... and I am... well, Ill just be nice and say upset! Of course LG is SO SORRY, MAAM... we can get someone over there in 3 days! I must confess to yelling NO WAY! and today (its Monday 10/22 & the fridge started plotzing on Saturday) my friendly repairman came a day early because I WHINED on the phone this morning to them.NOW I NEED A COMPRESSOR! Back to cleaning out freezer and fridge, living out of a cooler and trips to get ice. Should have one in 2-3 days. Somehow this doesnt ease my mind. Ive declared to LG Im telling everyone I know to never buy LG appliances! They dont seem to care... probably because theyre safely 5000 miles away from me! ;o) Enough said? Thank God I bought the warranty because nothing out of pocket yet. I might go ballistic if I have to pay anything for my 10 month old fridge. Looks arent everything! Sorry I broke up with you, Whirlpool! Good luck, everyone! Thanks for reading my novel!

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

I bought my LG appliances not quite 3 years ago. I did my whole kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer. They were very expensive. I thought I was buying the best. I bought them from HH Gregg. First mistake. They went out of business shortly after. I never received pedestals for washer and dryer, they owed me $150 back but of course I never saw that. The appliances are junk. Microwave is convection but has burn marks on side from first use. Dishwasher wheels fell off right away. Getting dishes in and out almost impossible unless I get halfway in it. I rarely use it because its a pain. My refrigerator compressor went out the beginning of June 2019. LG uses a company called A&E for repairs. When I called them they told me they only had one technician in my area. I finally got my refrigerator fixed today. September 11, 2019. The compressor was fixed 2 weeks ago but the day after it was fixed the icemaker went. I went without a refrigerator for two months and without ice for over 3 months. I have had to buy bagged ice for 3 months.I finally had enough with A&E and the rudeness I dealt with there. I refused them to do the repairs. LG said they got someone else to do the repairs, only thing is they never called him to set up for repairs to be done. Not once but twice. Thankfully I had his number and he made time to fix the refrigerator. His company is called Umbrella appliance repair and his name is Said. Not sure of last name. He is from Williamsburg VA. I would recommend him and give him the highest respect. He came even though they didnt call him like they said not once but twice, they had me wait all day and he didnt even know he was supposed to be here to do repairs. He worked until after 8 p.m.My husband passed away 3 yrs. ago, the person that took my info got it wrong and somehow when they sent the parts to my house, parts I didnt know were coming, came in my dead husbands name. Can you imagine getting a pkg. on your front steps with your deceased spouses information on it. Also during all of this mess my mother passed away. I had family coming in from all over the country and no refrigerator to keep food and no way to make ice. I had people here from Wisconsin, California and Pennsylvania. This has been a nightmare I wouldnt wish on anyone. Over 2 months without a refrigerator 3 months without my icemaker. LG should be ashamed. I would never recommend them to anyone and I promise I will never buy LG products again. The worst customer service ever, from LG and A & E repair services. Debbie **

This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

Bought our LG Front Loader Steam Washer (WM2501H*A) 9 years ago. 4 years after purchase we had to have the drum replaced due to the bearings going bad. Luckily it was covered under warranty so it was free. However, its only been 4 years since the replacement and again the drum bearings are going bad and need to be replaced. I was told that with the direct drive system the bearings had a longer life than previous models. If this is true then the previous models must have only lasted 2 years! We are going to run this one into the ground, spent all that money on it and feel like I might as well get my $$s worth (and it isnt worth fixing at this time.) I will NEVER buy another LG washer (and possibly product) in the future. I feel like the product they produce is low quality at a high quality price. I will be going back to top loader when this one completely fails.

Please avoid all LG kitchen appliances if possible. Our refrigerator and dishwasher (both only 2.5 years old) has given us nothing but problem. The fridge started making a loud humming and gurgling noise intermittently about 2 months ago. Then 3 weeks ago, the freezer gave out and the following day the whole thing stopped working. Its been 3.5 weeks and we still dont have a working fridge. Apparently, all parts are shipped from Korea which takes days to weeks to get. Our service provider who was referred by Home Warranty of America (also a horrible warranty company) ordered the wrong part which will take another 7-10 days to get the part. I am livid and fed up. Also, our fickle LG dishwasher has been giving us problems since the day we moved in. It turns on when it wants to. We have to constantly reset the breaker for it to function properly.

I bought LG 26Cuft Wifi French Door refrigerator (model LFXS26973D/01; SN 909KRAT00680) from Costco on Nov 12, 2019. It was 2-year warranty. Unfortunately, I am only 2 months late and both Costco and LG washed their hands from any manufacturing defect. The water filter that needs to be changed every 6-month does not work anymore even with LG brand filters LT1000 or LT1000P/PC/PCS (ADQ747935). I bought a new LG filter head (AKN729490003) and even it does not work. Calling Costco and LG has no help because only 2 months more than 2-year warranty. I tried a professional appliance for help, even they could not help. I am sure it is manufacturing defect and there is no recall. This means I have to trash this LG refrigerator just in 2-year. I would not recommend anyone to buy LG refrigerator and get frustrated like me.

purchased april of 2014. 2 days ago refrigeration quit working (both freezer & refrigerator). Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. This might seem like a long complaint, but I feel that everyone should know that the way youre treated when shopping for their appliances sure is not the way you are treated after you purchase them.

I recently bought an LG washer and dryer. The washer does not fill with enough water, leaving my clothes in a tangled wad. Takes an hour to wash a simple load. The dryer refuses to dry the clothes. Seems the sensor knows when your clothes should be dry and shuts off. Trying drying a bathroom rug. Takes three or more tries. I long for my old washer which I gave away in working order. We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.

The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I will be putting this on our Nextdoor website as there are lots of homes here in upper $$ that are buying and replacing appliances in their homes!

If I could give warning signs or negative stars I would! Bought my first machine about a year ago. I havent had a working washing machine since. The machine didnt work from day one. My husband called the company and got the run around for 3 weeks. I contacted Home depot and they got an LG authorized repairman to look at it. Needed a water pump (so they say). Mind you it has only been used twice. They also warned me of the special low-sudsing soap needed (another excuse). Home depot replaced it. However, the second one was just as bad as the first and had the exact same problems. As far as the soap, I ran it with no soap and had the same issues. My last two machines lasted about 10 years each with one service visit between them and they used any kind of soap! They werent top of the line expensive machines either. Im ready to eat the purchase and chuck this piece of junk. The company should give free service to everyone who bought their junk products for 3 years or be sued for selling substandard lemons. No way were they unaware that their product was junk. Two machines in a month and neither work. I will never, never buy an LG product ever again.

Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set at Home Depot and within two weeks and only a few washes the washer leaks from the front. We had to pay an LG technical person $145 to come to our house and tell us it was because we have a dog and he said even a single dog hair in the door seal will make the front door leak. If you own a dog - this is a really terrible option for a washer. Apparently you need to clean the rubber seals and door after every wash and its virtually impossible to clean dog hair off of the rubber gasket in the front. Its still leaking and neither Home Depot or LG will take the product back. Too bad they cant at least pay for my water damaged floors. I can also add that the dryer is the noisiest I have ever owned. Also not recommending it. Maybe a Maytag from Sears next time?

Bought a LG Dishwasher, LG Fridge, and LG range. All look very smart! Dishwasher ran for 6 months, then noise started. Engine issues. Fixed on warranty. Broke again. Advised to replace unit after it failed again after warranty. Fridge plastic rakes broke. Replaced on warranty. Cheaply made poor design. Broke again after warranty. Last night the light/control unit caught fire and melted the inside top of unit. Temp was very hot and filled with smoke. Found out from former service company that there is a call back due to fire hazard. They service all major appliances. They will not service LG. Called LG. They did not offer much until I raised the service bulletin. Range: electronic board fried and was replaced on warranty. Now off warranty, two elements are burned out. Called LG and asked for parts. Refused. They will send a repairman?

I bought this oven for my husband in December. In July he cooked a pork roast in the lower oven. The area between the 2 panes of glass filled with grease and condensation. We looked at the top of the door and it is designed without any type of seal to prevent this from happening. I called the company and they said this is a maintenance issue and not covered. There is absolutely no way to clean this awful looking door so now Im left with a new oven that looks 30 years old and dirty. This is a terrible design flaw and no business should carry LG if they dont stand behind their products. The oven looked very pretty in the store with its blue interior, but, unless you never plan to cook I would not recommend even considering this oven. Wish I would have read these reviews before my purchase, thats what I get for impulse buying. Ill now be back to Best Buy shopping for a new oven and giving this one to the scrappers.

This is the most useless dishwasher I have ever owned (LDF5545ST). My 20-year-old GE works better than this thing. The energy efficient drying is absolutely useless. I have followed every instruction in the owners manual, ensured that my water is hot enough, and everything else that LG recommends. I always have to dry at least half the dishes by hand. Purchased an LG Refrigerator only 2 years ago, compressor has already failed. Been without refrigerator for nearly five weeks because of constant run around from LG (also purchased the extended warranty), had two different repair companies (both sent from LG as certified company to do repair) and bottom line is the parts are not available because of the multitude of Compressor failures. It will be at least two months before a compressor is through production and shipped from Korea. For all of you experiencing compressor failure PLEASE CONTACT THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. This is obviously a recall situation but they wont do that. For all of you being told your repairman cant fix your refrigerator, that is not true, there simply are no parts available and when that is the case LG is in breach of their warranties and would be forced to issue you a refund or replace on your purchase, they are giving you the run around to avoid having to pay. DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT, KEEP THE PRESSURE ON.

This is the 4th appliance (6 in total) that is nothing but crap! The model # LRE30453SB is the range that we own! I have had a technician out 4 times in 7 months to fix problems! The sensor has been replaced twice and the brain box once, and last week (11/8/2012), they were back again because of the same problem (sensor). This time, they put goop in the back of it to keep it from making the sensor noise. All I want is to have decent appliances! Luckily for me, this range has an extended warranty! My fridge wasnt so lucky. Well, I should say we are so lucky - $500 in medicine and food wasted! LG doesnt care! They wont do anything! The list goes on and on for ** appliances! The dryer and washer have both had to have repairs to them within the first year; the range, 4 times in 7 months. Now the fridge! Something needs to be done! This is a lot of money that I dont have to replace the food lost, and potentially new fridge! Do something.

Purchase LG refrigerator in 2015, now fridge has Stop working due to failed/defective compressor. Fridge stop cooling, not working since 9.14.2020. Their customer service confirm that this problem is pre-known by LG. (Defective compressor), since they were having lots of issue with same. This compressor is under warranty. (10 years) Repair date received was 9.18.2020, with us paying for cost of repairs. However, on 9.18.2020 LGs technician further diagnosed and confirm that compressor was bad/defective, and the reason why fridge was Not cooling/working. He said that he would replace same, thus fixing the problem. We felt relief and happy; however after replacing compressor, saying he was done and we thought, Wow! Finally, this is the end, imagine our dilemma and surprise when he Casually said- Oh! the main board is NOT working and you have to pay additional charges and service fee to replace!! Plus I dont have the part- I have to come back-next week. The fridge Will Not work without it. - Panic mode set in and crying took over.We are broken!! We had beside suffering undue, stress, also suffering physical health issues, since refrigerated medications were loss-cause by this broken appliance. In addition to the loss of food, deterioration of health, mental stress, were still left with a broken fridge. After spending so much on an appliance (said to last 20 years, right?!). Speaking with LG customer service we feel that LG shows lack of concern to all our issues. HELP!! Can anyone at LG please end this suffering. Plus we now question this replacement of main board- why was this not said on initial diagnosis, before he initiated repair of compressor??Plus we are being charge for all this. Not Fair!! Not Right!! Feel abused! At this point we just wish this fridge gone, gone and LG refund our cost price. We want to get back to our normal life, Please. PLEASE!! Can anyone from LG managerial staff address this? Anyone with POSITIVE Answers/results. Is customer satisfaction a priority? (Then why are we treated this way?) HELP!! Have always been a fan of LG, but now???.

Washing Machine Model WT1101CW - There are several issues, the top being that the washer does a poor job of cleaning clothes. Ive had to soak white shirts in bleach to get out normal dirt. Ive had to wash clothes twice and three times to get them to even smell clean. I had a 20 year old Maytag prior to the LG and Im ready to get rid of this one after only having it 3 months. A second issue is that it leaves a full tray of water in the dispenser after the cycle is completed. I have to dump out the water every time. I called for service and they will not come out for that issue - stating that they only respond to technical issues and thats not technical. What??? Ive followed all of their instructions - and even called them 2 weeks after having the machine. No response from LG.

The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.

Instead, it looks like Ill be running to the laundry mat each day. Something that will put a great strain on my work. Ill research for better quality washer next purchase. We purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. The first issue was the very typical water tube leak which caused cascading icicles in the freezer (LOWES was very helpful with this problem). A couple of days ago, the right top hinge came loose, causing the door to hit me in the chest. I had to support the door to prevent it falling completely off. We were able to reattach the hinge pin and duct tape it to prevent a recurrence. This could have had catastrophic results. We purchased a LG TROMM Washer in Jan. 2007 (WM2487h*M) and we should have known better as we had to trade it out within the first few days of purchase because the water was filling up in the drum after the rinse cycle and the symbol FE was displayed. Luckily, Best Buy exchanged it for a new one without hesitation and it was almost as if they had already been down this path before with several customers. Fast forward less than five years later and the same thing has happened. We just spent $640 on repairs including a new water pump, a new water valve and a new memory board for this hunk of junk of a washer. In hindsight we should have just bought a new machine as the warranties had all expired. The guarantee for the new memory board is for two years supposedly, but we have yet to see paperwork from the registered LG repairman. Although he did state that the new memory board was registered with LG. I guess well just need to keep pressing them on this until we see something in writing.

Please do not buy the LG 400+ ltr double door refrigerator even if it is given free. In a bargain hunting, I purchased a double door digital control LG 420 ltr refrigerator and it was buying a huge pain and trouble for me and my family. With almost Rs. 51,000/- paid through my nose the refrigerator is a horrible experience from the month I purchased. The computer chip got burnt out in 13th month and replaced at my cost of Rs. 4300/-, the compressor had to be replaced in 14th month. Compressor again replaced in 17th month. Even after 2 repairs at my cost the compressor makes heavy noise and the customer support has not been able to set it right even after making payments for service. The quality of the refrigerator is completely below par and in an attempt to cut cost the LG has severely compromised on quality. The customer support is horribly bad and an opaque management. You dare it and make any attempt and you do not get a caring attention. Just rhetoric and evading answers. I have lost thousands of rupees worth goods due to the machine abruptly stopping in the middle of the hot summer. I now seriously repent having purchased this refrigerator to save some Rs. 2000/- against its competitor and today hove lost more than Rs.10,000/- in repair and maintenance in just less than 2 years. Add to this the constant tension of the machine going off when we are out on a holiday, it have never been peace of mind ever since we purchased this refrigerator. Contact me at ** to hear my pains and wish none of you go through such horrible experience. Please do not look at LG refrigerator if you love your peace of mind. Even today if you want to see the problem of high noise compressor, please call and visit us. Purchased a $1500 5 burner range (gas) late Nov 2013. Was delivered and installed December 2013. Used the cook top, but not the oven until Christmas. Christmas day dinner was ruined due to oven not functioning properly. Took twice the time to cook as it should have, nothing browns, everything looks anemic. Called Home Depot and got LG certified tech information. First visit January 2014, next 2 visits included 2 new sensors and a control board. Still does not work properly. Multiple calls to LG, and was promised that after 3 visits and 3 parts replaced it was deemed a lemon and would be exchanged for new range. Never happened. 10 months and 8 tech visits later, and I still dont qualify for exchange/replacement. Executive services is useless. Adrienne (the supervisor of all supervisors) asked for receipt and invoice to be faxed for the resolution team. Faxed immediately after conversation and one week later was told I STILL dont qualify for exchange or refund. When I asked her what does qualify she said, as an LG customer you are on a need-to-know basis. She refused to tell me! I have not encountered ONE LG person who has been helpful or even nice. I will soon be replacing all 5 major LG appliances with Samsung. NEVER WILL I BUY LG AGAIN. Luckily Home Depot has facilitated this interaction and I am now getting my money back. I have no idea how to contact LG, or how I would reference my order even if I could contact them.Customer Care with this Company is ridiculously poor, I spent a bunch of money and I am in the Dark on my end. I cant review the product until I get my hands on it. But I can review the Manufacturer and their complete lack of customer Care and communication. I could have purchased something else, I should have, it would be installed by now and I wouldnt be wasting my time writing this out of sheer frustration with LG.

My fridge stopped cooling the night before Thanksgiving. It is still running and the light come on...but not cooling...food lost! I called our Home warranty. Technician to come out, he was there within 3 hours because they consider problems with a refrigerator and emergency. He said it is a compressor leak and there is no Freon left in the appliance. Due to this, he cannot fix so I needed to call LG because it should be under warranty.I called LG first thing in the morning on Friday after Thanksgiving, and they said that they would notify a repair tech to call us and schedule a time to fix the appliance if it was fixable. Monday still no word from them. I called LG back and they said none of the repair shops around me had accepted the order so they would move me to to an escalation group to get scheduled who would call me in 3-5 days...still I have no fridge. I did now get an email saying that they scheduled a consultation with a technician for next Friday...this is where they will come and see what is wrong with my fridge so they can order parts. I explained to them after waiting on hold for 25 minutes...I have notes from a technician that you can use to fix my fridge when they come. They will not do that. Once they order parts, those will take a week or longer to get to my house, then you have to reschedule the tech... This is ridiculous! I am going to be out a refrigerator for a MONTH! And this is an appliance I spent $2200 only 2.75 years ago. The customer service was no help and frankly not that empathetic to the fact that we are a large family and had no fridge over Thanksgiving, let alone now. Very disappointed! This is unacceptable!

First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write review
First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write reviews. I dont rush to review items that just meet my expectations. Youll only find a review from me if something is extremely worthwhile or, as in this case, seriously flawed. We purchased our brand new LG top-loading washing machine from Lowes in December 2013 for almost $700. For the first four months I was in love with it. Then I inadvertently pushed the stop button instead of the pause button when the load I was washing became unbalanced. Since the load had reached the Rinse stage, I thought Id just select the special option for Rinse/Spin. From that moment until just last week, Ive had nothing but trouble from it, related to being out of balance. After stopping it and restarting, the machine filled several times with water that almost overflowed the tub. I had to keep pausing and stopping it to keep it from continuing to fill. From then on, every load I washed had to be redistributed at least twice, most of them four, five, or six times. The straw that broke the camels back came when it took me all day to get one load close to being done. Before the final jingle, I would have to go to work and couldnt finish the load. The next morning I would come in to find the load soured and smelly, so I would start it all over. This went on for 14 days. Finally, Id had enough and called LGs customer service line. The CSR I talked to was condescending and snippy with me. I described the problem, only to be told that, either the installer didnt level the machine properly or SOMEONE (I wonder who she could be talking about?) had done something to the machine to cause it to be unbalanced. After I told her I wasnt stupid and actually did know she was referring to me, in a very rude manner she told me my issues were an installation problem and not covered under warranty. Then, she simply hung up on me. Since LG wouldnt help, I called the number for our extended warranty plan. Thank goodness we have that. The CSR there informed me that, if LG says it is an installation issue, then we wont cover it either. Maybe you should have Lowes come out and level it. My next call was to Lowes, still trusting that it might be, in fact, an installation issue. The original installer showed up in short order, level in hand, to prove that, not only is the machine leveled properly, our floor was absolutely level as well. He suggested that I go to the store and speak to the manager, which I did. Actually, I ended up speaking to an assistant manager, who with a sincere straight face, called the salesman up to the service counter and asked him to call the extended warranty plan for me. The salesman, who was the same man that sold us this machine, repeated what hed said to us when we bought the machine. This is the top rated washing machine in the country. We havent had any complaints at all about them. He did, however, call the warranty plan folks, who now were willing to arrange a service call. Now, out of all of the people we talked to during a two-week period, at no point through all of this did anyone mention that there was a RECALL on this machines controller board due to problems with... Can you guess...the machine continually being out of balance. Of all the negative reviews I had read during these two weeks, I only saw one where the controller board was mentioned. Apparently, no one at any point along the way wants the consumer to know that the machine has a KNOWN, WIDESPREAD, DOCUMENTED PROBLEM THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL. We only found out about the RECALL, because the service company, not wanting to waste their time on two service trips, called ahead to ask what issues we were having with the machine. As soon as my husband described our problems to them, their CSR told him about the RECALL. Said they would have to order the controller board and rescheduled the service call to a date after the part would be in. Their technician came to the service call with the controller board in hand, which apparently was already loaded with updated software. Since having this board installed, I have used my machine heavily all day for the past four days. The only out of balance error Ive seen was for a true out of balance condition where all my small load of clothes had ended up on one side of the tub. As long as this washer continues to operate the way it is now, Im happy to own it. To LG, Lowes, Lowes Extended Warranty and any other company who sells this product without letting their customers know about this issue and the RECALL, I can only say SHAME ON YOU! BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! After being treated so dishonestly and shamefully by LG, I will never buy another LG product of any kind, even if I am told it is the top rated product in the country. LG obviously has no intention of standing behind their products when there is something wrong with them. Im also shocked and seriously disappointed with Lowes in whom Ive had so much trust over past years. Apparently their policy is one of loyalty to their manufacturers rather than their customers. Heres a clue, Lowes. Without customers you dont need manufacturers. Im afraid I wont be shopping at Lowes for anything any more. And all of these bad feelings and sentiments could have been avoided simply by being honest with me about the issue and upfront about the RECALL. To all of you consumers who have one of these washers with similar problems, call as soon as possible to wherever you bought it and tell them that you know about the RECALL. Tell them you want it fixed or you want them to come and pick it up. Exchange it for a machine from a company who will stand behind their product to keep it working and their customers happy. Most of all, lets all quit buying products made by companies who dont keep the promises they make to us. If no one buys their products, theyll either have to change their business practices or go under. As for LGs flawed washing machine, it is my intent with this review to alert anyone who owns one about the RECALL. Remember: RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL. Take advantage of the RECALL!

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

Id owned my firs LG refrigerator since August and it was horrible. It was delivered broken and in the beginning, LG wanted to send technicians out to repair the refrigerator instead of just sending me a replacement. Because I had to keep escalating the situation, the replacement was determined. It took two months for the replacement to arrive. In that aspect, I was not pleased at all. I had to go back the retailer and they had to give me a loaner refrigerator. In terms of the product, I’m a big fan. I am pleased with the replacement as so far, its been working fine and hasn’t given me any problems. I like the overall layout of the refrigerator, but I find the icemaker and the water dispenser very noisy. As soon as I put a cup to it and I wanna get some ice cubes, it starts to crank up the motor and it’s loud.

Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26366S/02) two years ago and we were happy with our purchase. However, four weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped working. A service technician has attempted to repair the fridge on three occasions but has been unsuccessful. The next scheduled service call is eleven days from now (July 9th). So, we will be without a refrigerator for over a month and a half!We are completely dissatisfied with LGs lackluster response to this issue as well has the service company they sent to repair the unit. Unfortunately, I cant change service companies because I was told there are no others in my area. A service technician should repair this unit on the first visit. We are so hopeful the fourth attempt to fix this unit is successful! We have 2 adults and 2 kids in our household. Living without a refrigerator in this summer heat for such a long period of time is unbearable. Im reaching out to you with the hope you can help us. If there is anything you can do to expedite the repair of our refrigerator, we would greatly appreciate it.

We purchased an LG refrigerator; it has French doors and with a bottom freezer. Shortly after it was installed, the freezer started accumulating ice. We had it repaired several times because the electronic circuits were defective, and the problem recurred. LG refuses to take responsibility for the problem even though they have re-designed the circuit board at least ten times. My repairman told me that they have this problem since the refrigerator came to the market. I have paid hundreds of dollars in service calls, and the last time I spoke to their customer service department I was met with complete indifference. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Another issue is with this unit is poorly designed; it has a very flimsy hardware for the crisper drawers that keep coming off the rails. That issue was also not acknowledged.

We purchased our LG Tromm 3 years ago. The first thing that happened was the boot on the opening that the door fits into ripped. It was replaced with a generic part because LG apparently stopped making the original boot. The repair person, recommended by LG, came and installed the new boot and it didnt fit properly. After he left, we did a load of wash and all the water drained onto the laundry room floor and down into our finished basement. They came back with another boot, apologized but did nothing about the water damage and the second boot worked. The moldy smell is nonstop. We do a monthly bleach tub clean and have used the pucks you can buy to clean front-loading washers, but nothing works. I wipe out the fold in the boot constantly because gunk accumulates in it. I drain the washer from the little hose in the compartment at the bottom often and clean out the trap. My clothes smell awful. Im not sure on what to do with a 3-year old washing machine that makes my clothes worse smelling than before they were washed.

Choked by LG Side-By-Side (Model # LSXS26326S). I could have died. This product was defective and plastic from the ice maker got in my water. I was choked and my throat scratched by a piece of plastic that broke loose from the ice maker top cover. I do not recommend this product. There was a design change (i.e. material change) that was done in 2018 to the top cover. LG offered me $500 for my pain, suffering, and inconvenience, which was a slap in my face. I was finally provided a refund for the defective unit, but they did not provide any interest for the 2 months that it took them to give me a check. When they sent a company to pick up the defective unit almost $5,000 worth of damage was done to my home (i.e. new refrigerator was scratched, molding/trim damage, custom pre-hung door damaged and threshold broken), which has not been paid. LG said it is not their responsibility, but yet they sent the company to my home. I really appreciate Amazons customer service, because they treat their customers like they would treat themselves.

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

LG front load. 6 years old. Very disturbed that washer seals went bad within 5 years and machine leaked. Dryer tumbler wall disintegrated, destroyed clothing. As long as it does not say LG on the cabinet I will consider it. Not buying: Poor quality construction is my number one element. Ive done well with Kenmore, Whirlpool, and Maytag over the years. LG equipment and service after purchase is very poor. I am looking for that rare combination of quality workmanship, efficiency, practicality, durability, and warranty backing at an affordable price. I dont need bells, buzzers, and whistles. I need it to clean and dry my clothes well and in a reasonable amount of time.

We purchased a LG 25 cu ft refrigerator on 11-21-13. Not a small expense, $1400.00, on sale, too. Model LFC25776ST. It lasted less than 2 years. We called the company, and got NO more than an answering machine, leave your message, and well call you back. NOTHING happened. There was NO response from the company. I will NEVER do business with LG again, and am still angry at the lack of concern or even response from the company. LG has shown exactly NO corporate responsibility.

This microwave is designed in a genius way! It’s large, you can select the type of food and status (frozen..) instead of choosing strength or time. It’s heavy duty, I don’t think people would survive it. It gives you the feeling it’s a luxurious and reliable product.

I will never buy another LG product again. This microwave needed major repairs within 18 months of my purchase. The first repair happened when it was still under warranty but I had to pay for service and when the second repair was needed, the warranty had expired. I called LG to ask for a warranty extension with the argument that a relatively new appliance should not need major repairs twice. In fact, the microwave I had replaced with the LG was over 10 years old and had never needed a repair. I replaced it because it was old looking and I was remodeling my kitchen. LG would not extend the warranty and the repair with service would cost more than replacing it. I argued that they should replace my microwave but was denied. Again, I will never buy an LG appliance again.

My sister in MN and I (in AZ) each purchased a new LG top loading washing machine in fall of 2019. We both have a problem with the washer leaving an ashy, white residue on all our black or dark clothing. It happens whether or not we have used soap and even if I just ran the cleaning cycle. Also, the dryer never dries a load of towels on one run. It always stops while the towels are still damp, so I have to run it again. Im very disappointed in these two defects.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?
