Ive had my LG double oven gas range for two years. In that amount of time, we have had countless accidental turn-ons of the burners. We would be putting away dishes and smell propane...whoops, somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be preparing a salad and whoops...somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be walking by with laundry on the way past to the laundry room and whoops...somebody bumped the knob. Final straw, my son was cooking with his girlfriend making dinner for us all. She reached into a cabinet near the stove and bumped the burner knob. The front burner turned on and nearly caught her shirt on fire, right in front of me. This is ** ridiculous! If you have kids DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE! If you have teenagers that cook DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE! If you have people that walk by your kitchen DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE! THERE ARE SO LOOK MANY COMPLAINTS! Somebody is going to get injured or killed!

I bought an LG door in a door refrigerator February 2015. Within a few months the compressor broke. I called LG and they refused to fix it. After numerous calls and getting the credit card company involved, who rescinded my payment, they replaced the compressor. One month later, the compressor broke again. Mind you this is happening in the middle of summer. First they couldnt get the part then they couldnt get a technician. After a couple of months and $500.00 worth of lost food (which was never paid for), they replaced the compressor. Now, suddenly, the ice maker is not working. They are refusing to pay for it and it will cost me $371.00 to replace. I called LG Customer Service and there were lies galore... Like, We will check on this and call you in an hour, we will call you at the end of business, we will call you in 48 hours... All not true. This refrigerator is poor quality at a high price. It should have been removed and replaced with the first compressor breakdown. Additionally, I also bought an LG Washing Machine. All worked well until the washboard bolts that hold this piece at the bottom of the machine gave way and during a very fast spin, spun out of control, hit the washer cover, which opened and out flew the piece. They did fix this after a lot of screaming and yelling. I would not trust their products. There are many others on the market that are manufactured with quality in mind.

In 2005, I purchased the LG WM1832CW washer and from the beginning, I got an OE error code which indicates a motor overload. I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. We still have the occasional OE code, but LG told us to reduce the amount of detergent and always use high-efficiency detergent. The smell started and there was a black mold around the front tub seal and smelly clothes. Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

Our LG fridge over here in Florida, has required 2 compressors and the ice machine does not work. The compressor they replaced stop working 5 years later. They wont replace the part they repaired and now I have to pay out of pocket and lose out on groceries for the week. The fridge was purchased in 2010. In 2015 compressor was replaced. On 2/23/20 same replaced compressor broke.I called and first person said that compressor was covered and all I would have to do is pay the tech. Called the tech. They didnt have any lg techs. They were hiring. Called back to get an updated list. None was emailed to me. Called back to speak to a manager and she said I am not covered for anything and basically she was just sorry I had to pay for everything on my own. I am stuck without a fridge and groceries that I have to throw out. She also stated the first customer service made no note of being covered for the compressor.

I have been fighting with LG over this French Door refrigerator with its freezer drawer glides breaking three times in three years. Yesterday, the drawer fell completely to pieces and now my icemaker is not working consistently. Ice is building up inside the walls (has been for two years). The freezer doesnt freeze. The list goes on and on. Not only have I been forced to purchase the defective parts three times, the parts are not in stock. If there is no recall or problem with the part, why the shortage? I have gotten nowhere with LG including the supervisors. I believe there is cause for a class action suit to be brought against them over this as there are many others having the same issues. Yet, LG refuses to make good on their product. Today alone, I have found no less than 1,000 others who are also having these same issues. That was with just one Google search. I am certain this product is a manufacturer defective product and needs to be removed from the market. I will never own another LG product again nor purchase another item from Best Buy.

LG Inverter Linear compressor went bad 3 weeks ago. This is my second purchase of a LG refrigerator. I love the adjustable space inside the refrigerator and the constraint cooling throughout the refrigerator. My issue is I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks with family coming in tomorrow. My husband called the LG service department on November 25 and they found us an authorized dealer but they are an hour south of our home. They came out on November 27 and told us our compressor went bad and would order another one. Needless to say, Thanksgiving dinner was served out of coolers and neighbors spare refrigerators. We have been calling both the LG service department and the service company that LG said would fix our compressor. The service company says they cannot get a compressor when we call them. LG service department says they have them in stock. I am not sure what is going on but three weeks without a refrigerator is extremely bad customer service. I need help with getting my refrigerator fixed and don’t know where to turn.

Bought an LG DLGX5681 (white) at Lowes on 7/7/14 and on 3/1/15 it just stopped spinning. Only washing maybe 6-8 lbs of wet white clothes straight from the LG washer, which seems to do well. I got one revolution after I turned it on and off and manually changed the load from medium to load, but only one spin before it cut out again. Do NOT buy LG. I read the consumer reports. I purchased based on their recommendations. Dont buy consumer reports. I think theyre being paid.

The odor on my clothing and towels is absolutely offensive and I feel like everyone who comes close to me can notice it. I certainly hope that anyone who has a desire to purchase an LG front load washer reads all of these negative comments. I wiped out the inner rubber gasket. I could hardly get my finger inside of it and out came globs of black mold. I continue to run bleach through the machine as well as the fresheners that are recommended for front load washers. The odor still remains. I want my top load washer back, so I can return to Tide Mountain Spring detergent. My family was always complimented on how fresh our clothing smelled and I miss that! Shame on you, LG. You should be having a serious recall of all of these machines!

What a horrible product! The oven is completely uneven, the warming drawer doesnt warm and worst of all, the core inside the knobs keep breaking. They are made of a very poor plastic and now I find out they are 69.00 US a pop!! (I am Canadian so right now 100.00 x 5 knobs.) Cheaper to buy a new stove!!! I have asked just for the cores, but of course, they only sell the knob and thus I throw more LG crap into landfill. I have tried to talk to management but all I get is the poor woman who answers the phone to read to me their no response! I will never buy LG again! This was a 2000.00 investment for my new kitchen - the worst worst purchase ever!

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

Bought my machine from Home Depot on June 14, 2013. It has never gotten clothes clean or rinsed (unless I run a second rinse) them properly. I thought it was me, my detergent, or water. Changed detergents, added baking soda, and purchased a water softener. Today I was so frustrated with the rust on the bleach dispenser and LGs response to it that I went online to check for other rust complaints. Lo and behold, aloof the problem were listed, including that it takes too long to wash and tangles clothes, particularly any type of pant, terribly. I suspect thats why it gets so many balance errors. Worse part now is rust all around bleach dispenser. LG tells me its because I spill detergent and dont wipe up. You could eat out of my washer and dryer. I keep them so clean. Ive seen many, many rust reviews. This is an issue with the product. It has nothing to do with not wiping up a spill. If there is a class action suit, Id like to join!

Unhappy at first, there wasnt sufficient water filling the machine. The result was that the clothes had a musty smell, they were simply not clean. The solution was quite simple; however, it may not be found in their user book. Beneath the top of the washer, there is an upright screw mounted on top of one of the sensors. There is only one screw that may be turned, hence, you cannot go wrong on this. Take a Phillips head screwdriver and turn the screw 1/2 turn clockwise. This tells the water sensor to allow in more water. Caution: Do not turn it a full turn or you will have too much water. Now Im happy. There is ample water in the machine and the clothes come out refreshingly clean. In this day, when everyone is going green, LG thought it prudent to just dampen your clothes and thereby save 3 gallons of water during each load. The result of going green, caused clothes to come out of the wash still soiled and smelly. Wash these a few times more and they smell even worse. LG should wise up. Important note: The top of the washer should not be pried off as it will bend the retaining metal. Pull the machine out, unscrew the holding screws in the back top of the lid. Then pull the lid back towards the rear about 1, the lid may then be lifted up. The LG front-loading washer works wonders with ample water. Adjust the water sensor and enjoy clean clothes.

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

LG claims that their appliances are built to last, but that is definitely not true for this gas stove. After only a few years of gentle use, it is falling apart. All the knobs are cracked, loose and need to be replaced, the centre grill cracked and broke, the LED display is starting to act up, the convection oven fan is pretty much useless. Gas valves are also really touchy and can be accidentally activated by accidentally bumping them. Parts are super expensive! LG wants almost $80 per knob to replace (there are five of them) and $240 for the grill assembly -- $640 + tax just for these parts! There are no electronics or moving components to knobs and grills -- they should last forever -- but they dont. Lots of complaints on the internet about LG stove knobs. Replacement knobs look like the same junk as the originals. No improvements. I called LG customer service to ask what they mean by built to last, but nobody could really say. My family and I are really disappointed that LG makes false claims about reliability and then charges outrageous prices for parts. Appliances should be repairable - at affordable prices - not disposable. We will be getting rid of this unreliable piece of junk and buying a stove from a reputable company. Please consider other manufacturers that are committed to reliability, service and environmental responsibility. LG does not deserve our business.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and purchased all new LG appliances; refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric stove all from Home Depot. The fridge and dishwasher have been trouble free, but the model LG LRE3045/SB stove has been trouble since day one. The touch control panel has intermittently worked. On some days, this group of controls works and these others dont, sometimes nothing at all. Calling LG customer service, we were told to unplug the stove and plug it in after a 10 or more second delay. Sometimes that has restored some functions but never all the functions. Tonight, I have plugged and re-plugged several times, all to try and get the start button to engage. It was no success. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. The unit is out of warranty, even though we have documented this issue with them years before.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator Model # 795.77729700 in August 2007. It was made by LG. On February 2, the refrigerator stopped cooling; on February 3 a Sears Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad control board which, unfortunately Sears no longer stocked. Was advised that Sears Parts would do a search. Next day advised that LG no longer had the mother board available. So I have a 7 year old refrigerator that has a defective control board (part number 6871jb1423g) that LG no longer stocks nor any other parts store in the USA (after a Google search). Sears has offered me a $500 discount (per my extended warranty) toward the purchase of a new refrigerator.LG has been no help at all. Terrible customer service. Why would any appliance manufacturer stop stocking a critical repair part after 7 years for an appliance that should last much longer? I can only suggest planned obsolescence. NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY AN APPLIANCE MADE BY LG WITH THIS KIND OF POLICY ON PARTS. I was able to find a company that says they can repair the control board and have sent it to them to see if it can be fixed for $100.

Just this weekend went out and bought a Maytag washer. Hopefully this will be a lot better than the LG. Never buying a LG product ever again.

Our LG fridge broke after 5 years (was not a cheap fridge). The sealed system went out. The part was still under warranty but I had to pay labor ($400). No big deal... We just 1 month later that same part went out again!! The guy who installed it said LG needed to give approval for him to fix it for free this time but LG refuses! They are saying I have to pay labor yet again even though the part they sent me was bad! That is totally unfair! I should not have to pay double labor because THE PART THEY SENT ME WAS BAD! I will NEVER buy from them again. Worst customer service ever! The lady on the phone said well how do I know the service guy is telling the truth... maybe he fixed it wrong. IT WAS AN LG CERTIFIED SERVICE GUY!!! I told her to send someone else out to look and she refused!!

I bought a new LG kitchen appliance set Stove/fridge in 2015, which cost a little over $5000, the fridge was in my house 45 mins from the store, I hired a plumber to install and connect a new water line for the fridge, after it was connected and plugged in, the water disperser would not work, I phoned LG right away, LG service personnel asked me how old the fridge was, I told her... 45mins, she was shocked and embarrassed, and 4 days later they sent a appliance technician to fix it.We have had nothing but problems with this fridge, the ice maker works off and on when it feels like it, the door jam between the french doors broke... Cheap plastic. The 2 oven stove burnt one burner coil out not long after the warranty was over, I contacted LG, they said for a one time fee I could have it repaired, and so on, my reply was... Ill never buy your product again. The glass stove top is very dangerous, hot pots and pans slide around very easy, dangerous around young children. I wished I would have kept my old GE set, old and ugly but still worked.

Keeps even temperature, easy to clean, very spacious. I liked the finish on it. Looked well with other appliances that I already owned in my kitchen. It had a nice price point to it, and I had an LG phone that I liked once that made me find the brand to be trustworthy. It absolutely has met my expectations, also I would recommend it, am surprised to have seen an LG fridge as I wouldnt of associated the brand with major kitchen appliances offhand. But more configuration options with the inner shelving. Perhaps offering even more choices in finishes than standard like fashion colors or a retro shape to it like a fifties kitchenette design.

My clothes don’t seem to get cleaned, I watched it run its cycle and it doesnt run like the sales lady said, it will go clockwise 4 tumbles then hesitate, goes counter clockwise 4 times and hesitate and then continues like that the whole wash cycle. It spends more time not doing anything than tumbling. My daughter bought a Frigidaire and I watched that run and it runs like the sales lady said mine should run. It tumbles on both directions but for about 1 minute and only stops for a bit nothing, like mine.

We purchased our LG washing machine 11/18 from Best Buy. We opted at the time to not get the extended warranty, since in our 50 yrs of marriage, this was only our 4th set... After washing clothes last weekend, I noticed that the agitator was not attached. I called my repairman, thinking that somehow the agitator had disengaged from the transmission, and it would be s simple fix. What he found was a broken transmission shaft... The broken part being the size of my little finger, completely broken in half! The cost to repair $300. We launder approx. 7 loads of clothes/ week, none of them being very large.. How did this happen!! CR gave this machine a good rating, I call it a piece of junk! This will be the last LG product that I will purchase.

My LG Tromm washing machine has been one problem after another from Day 1. It shakes so much that the floor vibrates and shakes the walls and has done this since I did my very first load of laundry in it. I have had 3 technicians come out to try to level the machine or fix the problem with no success. Secondly, the mildew smell that I have on my clothes will not go away. I leave my door open after every wash, clean the tub and rubber seals with bleach daily, and the odor is still very apparent. I purchased my washer and dryer in 2005, and I have hated it every single day I have used it. Whats even worse, I paid nearly $4000 for the machines and the pedestals. What a joke! Class action lawsuit all the way!

I bought a washer and dryer from LG about three weeks ago and was not able to get it delivered due to Sandy (live in New Jersey). They moved my delivery date (understandable) and any consumer can understand these types of issues. But now I just got an automated message telling me that they are now moving it again. When you finally get through to an operator, they tell you all sorts of different answers (depending on the operator): (1) They are having computer problems and cannot communicate with their headquarters?!; (2) they had a system and computer failure; and (3) bad weather. I am without a washer/dryer because I moved into a new house and cannot get the family clothes washed. They also cannot confirm the next delivery date and if they cant deliver, theyll simply call again. Are you kidding me?! This is the worst, worst service I have received by any company for any product. LG customer service is terrible.

We purchased an LG refrigerator less than a year ago and the compressor has failed and we had to throw out our food. Furthermore, when we called LG with the problem, they sent out a repair person the next day with no way to fix it. This seems to be a common problem with these refrigerators and the techs have no replacement parts in stock. They said 7-10 business days without a refrigerator until the part comes in. We have no idea how long it will take to schedule the repair once the parts comes in. This is SO unacceptable.

I needed a fridge at the time it seemed like it was it the best quality fridge out there for the initial price so I really cant complain. It really does run well and efficient. The ice machine is my favorite part. Also the fact that it is a stainless steel appliance means it is easy to clean and just be wiped off for a fast and easy finish. Its an ok fridge all around but the cons would be it smudges easily. I have kids so that is a big concern with me since I dont want people coming over to my house and seeing a dirty fridge people would think Im a slob who doesnt clean my own house. Also the ice machine can be pretty loud but all around its an ok fridge so I dont have any major complaints.

We purchased this refrigerator Dec. 15, 2014 its not a year old and still under the factory warranty. This is the second time that we have had this problem with the refrigerator not getting cold. May 2015 was the first time someone came out and adjusted the temperature, the same problem happen again around September 11, 2015 where it wasnt cooling or making ice. The day I got out of the hospital, I come home and everything in my freezer had thawed out and spoil. I began calling immediately but no one seems to put themselves in our shoes. We have been without a refrigerator since September 18th, 2015. Someone from Jebco in Saraland, AL. came out on September 23, 2015 said that he had to order a part and for us to unplug our refrigerator until he return on Monday September 28, 2015. Well Monday came, his clerk called to say that he would not be able to come on that day. I was so upset that I hung up on her, but later called back to apologize, later that day she called LG to inform them that she did not think I was satisfied with them QUOTE: Im not satisfied with anyone because everyone has a refrigerator and we dont. We are having to keep water in a cooler and having to go out to food because we cant put anything in the fridge. All we are asking is for them to give us another refrigerator, nobody seems to be able to accommodate for our loss. We are still paying for a broke down refrigerator, its notfair. I thought customers were always right and came first, well it seems that is not a true statement, because if it were true they should make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied to every extent.I am so dissatisfied with HHGregg and LG, I am letting everyone know not to deal with either one of them because they dont stand by their word of satisfying their customers. Is there anyone that can help me please come forward to give me some advices? We have spoken to so many peoples and nobody doing anything.

April 1, 2016 I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator from Topline Appliance with 5 yr extended warranty from New Leaf Svc Contractors. Within the first 2 yrs, the compressor died and we lost all our food. The Warranty co only replaced up to $200 for our food loss. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator worked fine for a while. In Jan 2021 the display stopped working on the door panel. Contacted LG and together we got it working. On 2/19/21 the ice maker stopped working. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot via the manual, and with LG representative, I contacted Topline, they put me in touch with the warranty co for repair. I finally heard back from them on 2/25/21. The repairman, ED came out on 3/3/21 didnt have the right parts to fix it, so order multiple parts to be delivered. He came back a 2nd time on 3/11/21 and replaced the computer board along with other parts and it still didnt fix the ice maker. He put in a request for a replacement door or replacement refrigerator. I was told the door was on back order and should be delivered by 4/4/21. Never heard from anyone and the door never came. On 4/12/21 I called New Leaf because the display stopped working. Several troubleshooting attempts failed. On 4/27/21 Jordy at New Leaf stated it door could take up to 12 wks and that it would take care of the issue with the display as well. He told me he would contact LG & call me back, never got a response back. Multiple attempts to contact New Leaf (Jordy) & LG regarding the status of the door were ignored again. 5/7/21 after multiple holds, I finally spoke to Jessica, supervisor with New Leaf. She told me her hands are tied because the door cant be outsourced & has to be specially made by LG directly. She put me on hold while she contacted LG to get further information regarding the status of the door. After many inconsistencies with LG, she said she would look into it further and get back to me. Here it is 5/17/21 and still no word from LG or New Leaf. I blame LG & New Leaf for poor customer service as well as a product that does not live up to its supposed 20 yr life span or price tag of $2500. If I dont get a response from them or receive the door by 6/3/21, My next step will be the media & my attorney. I DO NOT recommend LG French Door Refrigerator! I do however, love the black stainless, and the large capacity it holds.

Supervisor at LG services Leon is the worst and careless person that I ever dealt with. After sending the damaged door and closing the case, knowing that my warranty would be done after few days and on purpose delaying time, was asking me for the receipt, though they have all info about refrigerator. Another way to get rid of another unhappy customer left me no choice but pay for the service... But when installation cost more than a part itself I decided to buy just new different brand refrigerator and not give them a chance to screw me up again... Part of the door came damaged first time. Who knows what happens next time...That is disappointment that LG American brand does such a bad job and have thousands unhappy customers. No matter when they made if you put your name on Brand have Pride and make quality product, but obviously LG supervisor and all other bosses does not care... Not one review was answered or tried to help customer with low quality LG merchandise. Lesson learned. We purchased an LG front loading washer, WM2101H, almost 3 years ago. I thought the bad smells from the washer was our water (we have hard public well water). Reading the reviews, I can see I was mistaken. Just recently our washer stopped spinning. We called out a repairman who told us that is would cost $850 to repair and oh, by the way, only $205 is covered under warranty. It wasnt just one thing. It was the seal that broke which caused the motor to get wet? I dont remember exactly the chain of events. I was in stun mode when I talked to the repairman. He said that the washer does really bad with hard water and water softener. Funny, they never told us that when we bought the thing. Im pretty upset! We only paid less than $800 for the washer to begin with. I will never buy anything LG again!

Purchased a WT5001CW top loading washer Nov 2011. Oct 2012 it failed. The machine shut off with the lid locked and a full load of laundry stuck inside. The circuit board failed, was replaced under warranty. March 2014 the same thing. Wont turn on, makes the on chimes but nothing lights up, the lid is locked with my wet laundry stuck inside. All my wifes nursing uniforms were in the machine, out of desperation was forced to pry the lid open to retrieve our laundry. After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

First off, I must say that my LG appliances were great. At First. We bought a new house and all new major appliances. Now at the 5-year mark, they are breaking. No problems with broken parts except the ice dispenser (only crushed). A month ago, the stove overheated. I looked online only to find out that the stove had been recalled. A call was put in to LG and I was given an order number and told that a repair company would contact me. After 10 days, I called LG back again and I was then given the name and # of the company that was supposed to come and fix the stove. Another week goes by and I call that company to be told that I lived too far away to come fix it (about 30 miles). Another call to LG who did not believe me, so I was put on hold for almost an hour while LG called the repair company. I was then given the name of another company on July 5, that I contacted. Company # 2 said they were waiting on the part. Today is July 17. I still have no working stove. On July 15th, I came home to water all over my kitchen floor. I opened the refrigerator door to warm food and melted ice. I bypassed LG and called out a repairman on the 16th of July ($70.00) just to pull in the driveway. The repairman moved some stuff around and called it good. Today, the 17, I called him to let him know that the fan is still blowing but the temp is about 50 degrees. So now I have 2 very pretty LG appliances that do not work. Not happy at all because both items were big ticket items totaling over 4 grand. Also have an LG TV that is 2 years old, used maybe 3 times a week, that has about 5-inch black spot in the screen. I guess I would rather pay a higher electric bill every month using an older but functional item than to have to replace appliances every couple of years. Very disappointed and will not buy another LG product again.

Our LG LXFS29766 French door refrigerator broke while practically new and under the LG warranty. It has been the most ridiculous experience, almost beyond words. It has been over 3 months, 3 technicians have visited our home, more than 25 phone call to LG and never once have they called back when they said they would. The latest was that they put in for a request to replace and said that we would receive a call or email within 3 days, 10 days later after having to raise my voice they said that the claim was rejected 6 days ago but no technician has been scheduled to try again to repair the refrigerator.Being a builder I deal with all kinds of appliance issues and this is hands down the worst experience, they are literally trained to run you around. It almost appears that they just drag it along in hopes that people will just give up. Stay away from LG, I used to like their products but if they do not stand behind what they build. I will never purchase from them again and ask that everyone think twice before purchasing anything from LG.

Second one never called me back despite multiple messages left and the 3rd one, number disconnected.I finally called someone else with years of experience and he said, Check out LG online and you’ll see what that what I’m telling you is common with LG. Type of compressor is great. Saves you about 100 dollars a year on electricity if you don’t mind paying 1000 dollars to “maybe” fix it. Yes he said, Maybe LG will give you a new compressor but labor will run you about 1000.00 and I will not warranty my work for more than 3 months because it’s common for them to break down again within a year. I’m just going to buy a new one but not an LG. He highly recommended Frigidaire. Cheaper. No frills. Not very fancy but they last a long time.

Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.

My LG washing machine broke down requiring a new part. The repairman advised me the part was no longer available. I contacted LG and they informed me that manufacture of parts are discontinued after 7 to 10 years. Now I am in a situation requiring me to purchase a new washer as the basic part costing about $100 is not available. I also was informed by LG this is the case not just for washers but for LG major appliances. So if one buys a LG appliance and breakage occurs after 7 to 10 years, that appliance is not fixable and must be replaced. I find that unacceptable for a major appliance and will not be buying LG in the future.

We have a WM2301HS bought in Sept 2010 and after a few months, we noticed that the are grease-like stains on some of the clothes, but not all the time. It is a pain to get those stains out. Some comments suggested the contents of the laundry are to blame, but judging from the complaints, we are not alone. Did anyone get this solved? All in all, this machine works great (and looks good). The only service call (yes, life was not good) we had at the beginning was to put a missing clamp on the bottom drain of the gasket (how could they miss that in assembly?).

LG Lifes Good? LG - Laundrys Grubby - Just like everyone else, I am incredibly frustrated with my top-loading LG WT4801CW clothes washer (purchased from Home Depot). I spend more time and money redoing many loads of clothes because they just do not get clean and sometimes a streak of dirt is left on the clothes, so back to rewashing the same small load of clothes again and again. (There goes the water economy function of the washer down the drain). And my washer is also starting to smell (great). Based on everyones reviews, the machine should be breaking soon and at that point, I will give it the boot out of my laundry room.

We purchased our LG top loading washing machine back in 2010 from Sears. Almost from the beginning, we were experiencing some very high speed spinning products. After numerous complaints that never amounted to anything, last year 2013 LG sent a notice about reprogramming their computer system in this machine. That changed all the settings, times, etc but did nothing to the UE message we were receiving on the machine which meant an uneven load. Two weeks ago, Nov. 6th, 2014, a new stator for the motor was shipped to us by LG to be installed free of charge by Sears and that did not fix the UE problem.Yesterday 11/25/14, the same Sears technician came to the house and told us we needed to change a sensor and the clutch assembly at a cost to us of $703.20. Today, 11/26/14, I contacted LG and they told me it was not their problem. And I told them I would get an attorney and they said go ahead. I will never purchases another LG product again because they do not stand by their product especially when they are wrong.

We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we had problems with the ice maker auger freezing solid. We had the ice maker or some components of it replaced twice, under warranty, but not without several bumbled service visits - wrong parts, wrong initial diagnosis, etc. Now the freezer door seal has lost its suction. I see from todays research, this is not uncommon. We should have done more research, but we were desperate, since our old fridge had just died so we bought what was immediately available. Dont make the same mistake!

Recently purchased a home with this stove in the kitchen. Within days I noticed how easy it is to bump the knob and turn on a burner! I warned my fiancé but he didn’t listen and set some paper plates on top of the stove and must’ve bumped a knob. We were getting ready to leave and happened to come back inside for something when I smelled smoke and we found the plates and their packaging in flames! Wondering when LG is going to acknowledge this problem?! Like others have said, I would feel bad even trying to give this thing away. It’s awful.

We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

This washer and dryer were rated about as well as any, so it was kind of a tossup what to get. You are supposed to use TUB CLEAN cycle monthly or more often (This on a front loader that is supposed to SAVE water) and after every time you use the machine you are supposed to wipe around the 2 gaskets that stay wet. If you dont, and even if you do this creates odors, sometimes even if youre careful to wipe all around. Wiping the gaskets down requires getting on the floor and going into the tight crevices with a rag all around. Also, you are supposed to frequently empty the drain at bottom and clean out the filter. This also requires sitting/crouching on floor and the first few times I had water all over the floor and under washer. Very impractical. So far it hasnt had repairs (2 years old) but is noisier over time and thumps around a lot on spin cycle. Poor design all around.

Bad product. They try to keep repairing to our detriment. 5th issue with fridge in 5 months all recorded thrugh LG Service. Started May 2019, not cooling. Called LG. Arranged repair (took 4 weeks, try keeping family of 6 with no fridge for a month!). Replace coolant, tested. 3 days later - same issue. Call LG. Arrange for repair (another 3-4 weeks). Apparently wanted leak tested properly and lost coolant. They needed to order repair part to rebuild the coolant system in my kitchen (another 4-6 weeks for parts). Repaired. Next day display on front showed error, turned out repairman forgot to plug a cable in. Few months later, not cooling....want to send another repair (different company than first 4 times!!). Matthew in Executive Service (very poorly trained at customer service)! I just want to get rid of this headache and am being told I need a receipt (from 5 years ago??) to initiate the refund. I have been more than satisfied by the performance of this refrigerator brand, for almost 12 years now and its still working. Only this previous days when I notice that it stops performing what it intends to do. As I am an aircon technician myself, I immediately examine the unit and the only problem that I found is the PCB control needs to be replace. Thats all. The last time that I service other LG ref, I can easily bought those parts and, voila, its good as new. But now they change those policy. You cant buy the parts now. They keep on insisting that they will only do repairs, so I keep on wondering - how will they do some repairs for those minute parts of electronics in the PCB & keep the customer waiting for weeks? Are these the way they treat consumer after? So now Im considering to buy another ref. Perhaps as a consumer weve got to stick to the brand from the past for good after sales service even though the appliance is long overdue in service. Ive been with the LG service when its a GOLDSTAR brand name. Its their first brand name when they enter the market and they keep on saying that we need to satisfy & address the consumer needs & complaints for us to be known & admired by... so what now that this is one giant brand name???

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. We bought this stove 4 years ago and installed it in a new home build. The first cheap plastic knob broke within the first year. We are now down to ONE working knob. I have attempted to repair and strengthen the original knobs multiple times (something LG should have done in the first place). My question is how can a company manufacture such a great product and then put absolute garbage on the most used part of the stove. My real problem is the ridiculous price for the replacement. Is there a realistic option for this? I do not mind spending the money for QUALITY items, but to overpay for the same, substandard item is not feasible. The real sadness is that I will never buy another LG product again because of a $2 knob for a stove that is now costing $30+ and even sadder is the fact LG put such a piece of garbage on their appliances in the first place.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

Nacretia was very helpful. She reached out to me via phone and provided me with the resolution that was being offered from LG. The offer was fair enough for me to accept to be done with this ordeal. I do appreciate LG getting back in touch with me, offering the resolution, and following through with everything in the offer quickly. I think the LG refrigerator, and the brand is high quality, readily available and also presented value. I think the brand is close to whats considered as luxury at a price that doesnt represent luxury. I think its a great, everyday appliance for families and single people such as myself. Stays up to date. Id personally leave what I had as is. If Im the brand Id stay that way as well. If they want to be with Meile and Viking, maybe up the luxury and modernize the look ever so sightless and charge a higher price. For me, the brand is pretty much ideal. I chose LG because I thought it was a good choice to be in the middle of tiers that include Frigidaire and some and the top which includes Viking and a few. I think the brand presents excellent value, overall.

Since the day I bought my LG fridge I have had issues, a leaky water dispenser and frost building up in my freezer so I can’t use it. I purchased a new LG TrueBalance washer. I hate it. Example: I just tried to do a short wash with two pairs of slacks, a mens shirt, and a tee-top. After 1 hour of having the washer stop due to off balance signal 5 times, repositioning contents each time, and restarting cycle and still not getting any further along -- I pulled the clothes out and am now trying to get the washer to finish cycle empty. This was not a unique experience. Unless I jam the washer full so that nothing can virtually move -- it takes me an entire day (at minimum 12 hours) to do 6 loads of clothes. I would never ever again purchase a washer without a center agitator, the ability to fill washer and leave for overnight soaking (which I cant now), and get rid of all of this computer bologna! UPDATE: The off balance signal just went off again with the washer empty! If you are shopping for a washer -- do not get blinded by all the new/many bells and whistles.

I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

After 2.5 months the valves and baskets and other parts (a solenoid that shuts the water off) required replacement. Even with the additional warranty we still owed 350.00 each time. Our washer required authorized repair parts and authorized service people so we had to wait weeks for the appointment, weeks for the parts to be ordered then weeks for a follow up appointment. Purchased a very expensive LG washing machine. The leak had been ongoing for a couple of years and was caused by a very cheap neoprene gasket (20p to replace) behind the soap draw, this in turn leaked onto the main PCB at the bottom front left of the machine causing this board to fail with a loud bang. The reason why I am not going to buy an LG appliance again is two fold. Very well made appliance (mostly) yet a small cheap component failed after just 2 years which then lead to a major component failure with no real noticeable warning. Replacement parts are as expensive as a new cheaper machine. Customer services is diabolical I had to email the UK CEO just to get customer services to call me back and yes of course the problem was denied (despite many other cases on the internet) as a known fault. Conclusion buy 3 cheaper machines for the price of 1 LG......... SIMPLES. This is known by LG customer services yet they choose to deny its a known problem.

We are so disappointed that we will have to replace this expensive appliance after just three and a half years. The service tech said it would need a new spin basket, motor, stator and hall sensor. It will cost $530 for parts and $350 for labor. But we can deduct $92 for the cost of the motor which is covered under the 10-year warranty. I feel taken.
