My LG refrigerator stopped cooling on June 26, 2021, so I called LG custome
My LG refrigerator stopped cooling on June 26, 2021, so I called LG customer service to schedule a service appt. The young lady told me that my fridge was still under the warranty. I only purchased it in 2017. The warranty says 10 years for the compressor. They said someone would contact me to schedule an appt. No one called me so I called the number customer service provided. The service agent told me he would be at my house on July 6, 2021, but no one showed. I immediately called customer service back to let them know their people were a no-show, and they did not even call to say they were not going to make it. So the customer service rep. told me that someone would be out to fix the problem in 2 days July 8, 2021. I also lost food trying to preserve it thinking someone would come out in a reasonable time to fix it. In two days another no-show. I emailed a letter to the companys liaison to the president of the company, she called and I told her what happened. I also filed a claim for reimbursement for my lost food. I asked could I get a replacement refrigerator since no one has come out to fix it. The response was I will put in another order for service. They said they cannot replace it, and made a prorated offer for the fridge and an offer for compensation for the food after some negotiating on my part. As it stands it has been a month with no word back from them. I have reached out numerous times, kept all my correspondence with the company. I had to go into debt to purchase another refrigerator because the freezer also went out on it. I have not received a check for the food neither have I heard anything back from the company about a counteroffer for this broken fridge. I only asked for less than $100 dollars more to help toward my other fridge since they said they could not replace it. I will never buy another LG product again. I am still waiting to hear from them and I have been calling 1-888-412-8357 for the RA department to speak with someone, but no one answers the phone. I have waited several times for at least an hour listening to a recording. They dont care about their customers.

I have owned $2000.00 refrigerator for 4 months. It started making noise. Tech informs me that I own a LG made in Korea and it needs plastic fan parts replaced. I thought and was led to believe I was buying American Sears Kenmore, not a junk new word for Korean junk. This $2,000 was a sale price reduced from $3,600. Imagine how they do this junk, that’s how. Oh well, buyers beware. Read the inside and every tag on every item. I paid Lexus price for Kia quality.

I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. Ill know better next time...

My wife liked what she saw in the LG refrigerator so I bought one. But the drawers and the shelves are cheaply made. Ive had to replace the drawers in the freezer compartment and the glides on the shelf glide in the upper part of the refrigerator. Those parts are flimsy. But we bought the refrigerator 10 years ago and the refrigerator part of it is working fine. That was until the light stayed on and burned itself up but maybe LG will fix that for nothing.

Our LG range was purchased July 12 2018. Three months later in October we got an F3 error on the panel. We called for service and 4 times a technician was sent out to replace the panel but no one ever ordered the part. So week after week waiting for either a part or just replace the range we were not able to cook for three weeks. Again we called and was advised to submit a claim with receipts, we did that. Then after customer service advised us we needed to show PROOF of purchase. After 45 minutes on HOLD we were at that time advised they will only allow $150.00. No one ever explained this at all. Home Depot said after 48 hours its the manufacturer. LG is now saying its the parts A&E appliance specialist that should have deemed it not repairable but LG said it has to break 3 times... What a nightmare... Thanks for ruining my Thanksgiving. Hope everyone at LG enjoyed cooking for their families!! I gave them one star because you had to choose.

Last August, I purchased an LG 31 cubic foot side by side refrigerator. A couple of months ago, it started making a loud noise and did not seem to be keeping food as cold. I called LG and they promptly dispatched a repairman. He was wonderful... spent 5 hours in my house and told me he didnt think that it was fixed and would be back in a couple of weeks and to call if there was an issue. A few days later, it started making a different noise and everything in the freezer melted. He came back, looked at some things and said he thought it should be replaced and would start the process with LG and we unplugged it due to the noise. A few days later, LG told him to to come back and try something again. He did, and it started cooling again. So I restocked. Within a couple of days, it stopped cooling again. Repairman came out again, to run some more tests. So, here I am 5 weeks after the initial repairman visit, 4+ weeks after my refrigerator stopped working all together, and several calls to LG directly getting nothing but the runaround. FINALLY, someone called me back, told me they would be sending a replacement 7-10 business days after they send me a form to fill out and I send the form back. AND, they have the nerve to tell me that I am responsible for disposing of the old refrigerator. SERIOUSLY???? What a joke. This must be the worst customer service experience EVER.

I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. This wasnt a couple of dollars to just throw away but with the repair cost, should I have bought another refrigerator? What is going to go next?

I just purchased LG Washing Machine (412 SS /12 KG). This washer has so many deficiency and crazy programs as it was designed by a kid. Its drum is NOT adjusted and leveled with rounded rubber in front of it. You will never see drum is hanging down. When started it doesnt release water, but it releases water in burst so many time and it waste so much time. Drum keeps turning without water or just barely wet for about 5-6 minutes, depend on its useless programs. Half of its programs are dedicated to Steam-Wash. So if you dont use Steam, half of its programs are completely useless, while they could have add just one steam-key as an option to all programs.WORST OF ALL: it doesnt release enough water to clean the clothes. In fact there is no standing water in washer. They are just barely wet and there is NO option to add water in any program. So as a result I have to wash my clothes twice every time. Completely waste of time. Inside washer is so dark, and you cant see inside to know whats going on. Each program is unnecessarily too long. It just sits idle and does nothing or it spins in one second burst-like and stops or it turns in weird manner not seen in other washers. It sometimes turns too fast, and clothes are just attached to inside drums wall and they dont go through churning motion. It doesnt spin after each rinse to extract detergent. As a result if you dont wash them twice, clothes will come out with powdery stuff on them after dried up.There are no options to had rinse or fast spin to any program. Inside drum surface is NOT smooth, and has rough edges to touch on each and every holes as if they are done from outside to inside rather than inside out to make smooth inside surface. These many rough surfaces will absolutely wear and damage clothes. In addition there is another double horizontal line with rough edges across inside drum, and no one knows what it is for. This is very NOISY Washing machine. So-called OPTIONS on these washer are just that. If you want to change temperature, for example, then other options also change on its own without giving you choices or options are limited when programs are changed. Brief summary of this awful washer is: it doesnt put out enough water to clean the clothes - just make them wet, each program is too long, no option to add rinse or spin. I could add several other deficiencies, but enough said. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

I purchased a LG washing machine from PC Richards in July 2013. Water started leaking from the bottom of machine. I called PC Richards repair service. 1st technician came out and said he had to order part. 2nd Technician came out two weeks later. He ran the washing machine through a cycle and no water came out. He said nothing was wrong with it, that I must be overloading the washer. I explained to him that it wasnt being overloaded and that the 1st technician ran the cycle and he saw the water coming out, that is why he ordered the part. 2nd technician refused to change any parts because he was convinced I was overloading the machine. He left without doing anything.I washed clothes when he left. Same thing happened, water all over the place. I called service center and complained that 2nd technician didnt do anything. Service center kept telling me they would call me back, that didnt happen. I called again to speak to supervisor. He tells me I have to wait till 12/10 for another technician to come back to my house. LG washers are horrible and PC Richards service center is horrible. I do not recommend either one.

Purchased a new $2K+ LG refrigerator 4 years ago as part of an entire kitchen suite. The compressor (sealed system) failed, and while the labor wasnt covered under warranty, the parts to repair the refrigerator was covered. I had a LG certified technician make 5 separate visits trying to repair my refrigerator and it was never fixed. It simply will not cool anything in both the refrigerator and freezer. Thus, Ive had to go out and purchase a new refrigerator at my expense. Ive tried to go through the LG process whereby they would consider replacing or reimbursing my refrigerator. They have continued to deny my request, thus the reason Ive been forced to purchase a new refrigerator to replace my LG unit that was barely 4 years old. I will never purchase another LG appliance as they do not stand by their products.

Purchased an LG side by side refrigerator in October 2016 with an extended warranty. Last week 7/20/20 I noticed a warm freezer and warm refrigerator temp. I called LG to schedule a service call and was told August 4 was the next availability. Also was told that was the best they could do. I researched area authorized LG repair and found Sears appliance repair. When I called they had told me July 28 was their next available date. I called LG back to let them know, I was told that dispatch could not be changed even after I found the earliest available date from a factory authorized repair center. Sears told me that warranty would have to be submitted directly to LG by me after repair and bill was taken care of. Sears was great. They came earlier than expected, had the parts on the truck and all was fixed in a couple of hours. We paid the bill and contacted LG for warranty claim. Not only was my wife put on hold for hours when asking for a supervisor, but when a supervisor finally connected we were vehemently denied any warranty. The reasoning was that the company they dispatched did not do the repair. When I explained the situation I was told I should have received a repair work order authorization number by the dispatcher for Sears which I never received or was told about. I also suggested that I pay for labor and asked if LG would at least pay for parts (which I still have) and again was denied. Roughly $550 in parts, $450 in labor and it looks like I will be handling the full amount with no resolution. I do not understand why LG did not help better in this situation. I found that these linear compressors have a high failure rate, have multiple class action lawsuits working against LG and poor customer service help from the start to help me rectify this problem. I just do not understand.

In the first week, ALL of the wheels broke off on the produce bins. The ice maker stopped working 3 months later. The frostless freezer always has to be defrosted. This was from the beginning. DANGEROUS!!! Yesterday I smelled a very foul odor. The light inside failed to turn off when door closed. It caused food to cook on the top shelf. The cover had melted off. The bulbs were impossible to unscrew. The plastic lining was already smoking and starting to burn. I did burn my fingers taking it out. There is absolutely no light at all and has very damaged interior.

I have an LG dishwasher, stove, refrig and microwave in my kitchen. The stove, I love... The frig, I like. The microwave really works well. The only thing I would like to have that it dont is a quick min button. My other unit that was the button that we used 9 times out of 10. The dishwasher on the other hand, I have hate for. First of all, it never gets my dishes clean. It takes 2 hours to run and it doesnt get any of the dishes clean in that time. (JUST AN FYI... THE ENERGY SAVERS IS NOT ENERGY SAVING FOR THE CONSUMER... MIGHT WANNA DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THAT ONE) BUT ANYWAY...The LG dishwasher dont even rinse the dish soap off its own door. It is by far the worst dishwasher that I have ever had and I really dont have time to do dishes, thats why I have a dishwasher. My LG dishwasher has a lovely chime and thats all its good for. I have stuck a slice of cardboard in there with my dishes to see if it would even get wet... It had a few spots on it and it was a little damp from the high humidity during the disinfecting cycle (that by the way is so hot that I have had a couple of ceramic cups crack in half from the extreme heat). Second... be careful if you have one of these LG dishwashers because I opened it and let the door fall to its resting place so I could load it and the handle landed on the top of my foot and I had a large hematoma that turned black and blue covering the entire top of my foot for weeks from having it land on my foot. I thought it was broke to be honest. The thing is Im grown and life is hard enough to deal with manufacturers taking advantage of consumers by selling them products that dont work at all. Surely they did test on these and knew that they were unable to clean dishes. The thing is I use to love LG. Ive had several of their flat screens and of course I did my entire kitchen in LG... But for them to know that they made a shoddy product and not do right by the people that supported them by replacing the metal chimney boxes they sold us instead of dishwashers makes me sad... Ive spent months of my hard earned income on their products and to be swindled like this by them makes me so sad that even though I love their other products, I wont be supporting their company brand any longer. Its a warning... If you want clean dishes, do your kitchen with another brand!

Not sure what else to say other than I cannot see a difference between regular cycle vs steam cycle. I did have a rust issue after the first year in a so called rust free washer. Anything but LG! Had trouble right off the start with LG. Started getting error codes on the front panel within a year of owning. Tech said motherboard needed to be replaced. Then within a couple of months noticed water collecting inside the fridge. Cold air ducts became blocked because moisture got into them and froze. This duct supplies cold air to the ice maker. Cubes melted sending water all over floor. Tech removed all internal components from freezer, cleared duct and adjusted/moved the thermostat.Last week while on vacation got a call from my son saying fridge quit working sending water all over floor again! Tech came out said compressor is not working and stated it would be less expensive to buy new than replacing the compressor. This is just over 5 years old! We will place a call to LG and see if they want to stand behind their product!

Purchased French door refrigerator model #LFC20745ST in April 2010. After two years the plastic latch at the top of the door broke off. After contacting my repairman he advised me he could not repair the latch as he was barred from buying replacement parts. All attempts to have the matter resolved ended in a dead end with their customer service department. After several inquiries I was made aware that I could purchase the part from their certified parts distributor. I purchased the part and my repairman was able to install it. Unfortunately it is now 2 years later and the same part has broken. Apparently their products are not designed for long term use. Their initial stands for LG - this must mean LOUSY GOODS. I would not recommend their products to anyone and I will never purchase their products.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that. When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

BAD WASHER. I had a Frigidaire washer that lasted 15 years without a problem. Then, I purchased the LG top load washing machine. It constantly goes UE (uneven). I have to monitor it, or it refills and waste gallons of water trying to fix the UE . It loses its mind and sets more time, usually 11 minutes, and then it would refill with water again and again. Clothes never spun out completely. I can say this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water trying to rebalance itself, and I ultimately end up stopping it with the clothes still wet because it will not spin them out. LG told me I have to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they consider replacing it. Still waiting for an “out of stock part”… three weeks. This is unacceptable! I have already told people that I will never buy an LG product.

They want you to buy another machine to sit underneath the main washer. The dryer is a mess. I spent $1,000 for a dryer that doesnt sense the dryness of sheets!!! It shuts off early leaving the corners of the sheets wet. I called the technician who said thats the way it is and I should use the manual dry time and estimate how long it needs to dry completely... We purchased an LFX28979ST LG French Door Refrigerator 11/10/2012 from Home Depot. Wish we would have read these reviews. We contacted Home Depot shortly after we purchased the refrigerator to inform them that this refrigerator would be going into a custom cabinet and we could not get it to plum correctly into the cabinet. They tried to get someone to come out but we live in a rural community and no one would service us in our area. LG has since fixed this on the new refrigerators. Now, we have ice forming on the bottom of our freezer and water is coming out onto our floor. If we dont clean the ice out every 3 days, water goes onto our floor. This water has already ruined our custom cabinet because weve been gone away. We can not get any service from LG because we are in a rural area. We will NEVER BUY another LG product again!!

I had a front load Bosch washing machine. It constantly stunk and had to clean it all the time...Now i went back to a top loading machine and if I could get one load done with re-balancing. I am 65 and have been doing laundry since I was 15..with a top load machine. I now how to load it for balance. I can re-balance this machine up to 3 times a load. If you do bedspreads it is even more fun...do you have any idea how heavy they are wet? Try to balance that. The machine washes clothes great, and they spin dry really well. But this fill and balance thing makes for a long day every day doing laundry. Can this be fixed?

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

We purchased a top-loading direct drive LG washing machine at Best Buy a few years ago. From the beginning it has not been a good experience. The steam function never works and it crashes 1/2 way through the cycle EVERY time... and we then have to empty the machine and start over again. Add to this that the regular cycle does not fill with anything close to enough water, and the result is consistently dirty clothes and/or soap that dries inside the machine. And we cant even think about a load larger than about 6 or 7 large towels... as it overloads and tilts so we then have to drain the water and remove 1/2 of the load. If we had known how terrible this machine was going to be, we would have bought ANYTHING else. Do yourself a favor and avoid LG washing machines! We wrote to the company 2 times over the last few years and our letters are ignored. They do not seem to care about their customers.

We have had ours for almost a year. These LG stoves that have knobs on the front seem like a great idea. EXCEPT when you cook and bump into these stoves, the buttons turn on. We have had two near fires in kitchen had someone NOT been home and these knobs got bumped before we left we would have come home to a major house fire. We have tracked the knobs for 5 months since the first two incidences and today after last night, I am junking this new oven and buying a safer one-too dangerous to give away. NO it wont be an LG. I have read that they dont do much in fixing the problems. But I will contact where I purchased the stove and let them know of the dangerous stove they are selling.

My drum cracked like a lot of others did along the front seam. I ignored it for awhile until the noise got too loud. I took the drum out. If you do this, keep track of the sequence that the parts came off and what screws go where. Its not that hard to do. I cut a thin piece of sheet metal to cover the crack and along the outer rim of the drum, drilled 5/32 holes and pop riveted in place. I ground down the pop rivets so they wouldnt catch on the clothes. The dryer is back in service and the total cost for the repair was $2.75. But have no doubt about it, LG products are nothing but cheap overpriced junk. Do not buy!

Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

Like the features, Ive owned and used these item for over 13 years and have not had any issues or problems with them. Regular repairs would definitely be a deal breaker because, Ill be forced to pay or spend extra money on these items if not investing in another brand. Im a male who washes most of the time because the wife is away so, I have known what cycle and temperature to use when washing whites, colored or black garments. So because this product is seamless to operate Ive never had any problems doing my laundry. Beside the price fitted in my budget.

My wife and I purchased our LG refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it ran great for 90 Days. In March 2019 I had noticed that the freezer had started to warm up and ice started to melt. I called Lowe’s and they had told me that since it was still under manufacturer warranty, that I had to deal with LG. So first off I called and set up a service call. Their service window is from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm... Ugh... so my wife took the first day off, and the service tech did not show up until 2:30pm, whole day of wages lost. The techy comes in my house and proceeds to tell my wife that I need to remove a set of cabinets or cut vent holes in the one above the fridge, because according to him the fridge gets too hot and causes the compressor to fail. Crazy huh, so according to the owner’s manual, it states 1 on each side, 2 top and 3-4 on the back for proper ventilation, which I have. I designed my kitchen with this fridge in mind, so anyway I get home from work and the service guy is informing me that he does not have the right tools to diagnose my fridge. He said I need to set up another service call and he would get the right tools ordered, and he left. I have to say I was not happy about it. I argued with Lowe’s for the next 2 weeks trying to get a replacement, and Lowe’s could not do anything because of the warranty, so I call LG again and they will not replace it without a proper diagnosis. So it took another 2 weeks and multiple phone calls not only to Lowe’s but to LG as well to get this fridge diagnosed, come to find out the compressor went out after 90 days, didnt cost me anything but 2 day’s worth of wages and 400 dollar’s worth of food.

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

I chose to purchase my LG refrigerator because I got it on clearance at a ridiculously low price at Lowes. I believe I only paid about 400 dollars for the fridge. The original price was over 1000 dollars. I found that to be too good of a deal to pass up. It had enough of the features I wanted at a price point I found attractive. I liked many features of my LG refrigerator. The first thing I liked about it was the color. It was my first stainless steel refrigerator. I also liked that it had side-by-side doors and the fridge was on top. It was cool at the time. I did not like that it needed a special water filter that was extremely expensive. I also grew to dislike the quality of stainless steel it was made from. It was too prone to smudging and the steel itself was too bright. I prefer a brushed or gunmetal finish to my stainless steel.

I requested a repair service on May 7 through LG.com. I purchased my washer and dryer combo in July 12, 2016. The rubber belt was dislocated and it seemed to be leak soon. The first email was came on May 9, and the one technician who supposed to call me to set up time did not call me. Thus I called on May 12 again. On May 13 I received an email from LG.com saying the contact information for service center and reference number. I called the service center on that day and the guy said he did not get any work order from LG.com. On May 15, I wanted to speak with supervisor because all representatives copied the same script and no technician contacted me. The representative hung my call up. Finally on May 15, I got a service center number and contact them. On May 17, the tech guy came and check this machine. The rubber and wire ring are out and he needs to place order for new. The brand new washer dryer has issue at the rubber which is the main factor to keep water in! It is unexpectable and very dissatisfied experience with LG.com. The supervisor of customer service said only sorry for being delayed and she would not sent the part with overnight. Even though LG.com caused this unrealistic delay, they did not want show how they are sorry for this. I cannot trust their merchandise as well as their worst customer care. Range I purchased from Warner Stellian is a 5 burner gas range model number LRG3091SW/03. I would not recommend purchasing this particular unit. While I am satisfied with the oven, the stove top is a problem. The unit is less than 2 years old. There are 3 issues. The burners on the stove present a safety issue. If you set a smaller pan on the front burners the pan easily tips and hot liquid spills onto you, the floor or any person (thinking children here!) that happens to be standing at the stove. See image. The 5 knobs for the stove top have all cracked. See image. The oven control panel is electronic. The covering has cracked and is now cracked almost all the way up. See image. The range is normally used once or twice a day for a family of 2 which I consider less than normal range. I contacted the LG company and their reply was basically, Thats too bad since the 1 year warranty is over but you can pay to have it fixed (paraphrased but you get the idea). No mention of the safety issue I reported. I should have contacted the company within the 1 year since these issues started within the first year but I didnt however, I have owned multiple ranges over the years (with much more usage when our family was 5 people) and those have easily lasted 5-10 years without issues. Dont purchase this range!

Its been a year, several service men come and it doesnt get fixed. Customer service is always reassuring you that they will escalate the issue but soon you are forgotten - no return call. Now it makes a loud motor sound and, still, we have not heard back from customer service after two letters. I have been given the runaround so long that I am considering a filing a case. You know I expected that LG would be a good company and that if should something happen to my recently purchased LG fridge, that they would provide good service to me. How wrong I was. LG really let me down with not just their product - this new expensive fridge that broke that just after 1 year, but especially with their service. I asked if they could provide a service technician and the only one in my area wont repair the coolant system. So they purposely have the only technician in the Greater Vancouver area not do coolant systems. This seems designed to frustrate customers. They then said they could get another technician a week later who would cost $500 for labor (5 times the other service rate). In the end, I decided to scrap my fairly new fridge and get a KitchenAid fridge because its a better quality product and KitchenAid does right by its customers. LG is a really terrible company and I would recommend staying away from their products if you dont want to go through service hell.

I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extended service agreement. From the beginning I had nothing but problems, I got the UE code often, it would run the rinse cycle over and over, clothes ended up in a knot, etc. The service company checked it, said the legs needed balancing and it was fine, NOT FINE! Finally the recall happened and after fixing it, everything was WORSE. Every load was UE, the timer wouldnt advance, all the issues I have read about here. The service agreement sent someone out who was here 1 minute and said this was an LG issue and they would call me back. No call back, numerous calls to LG who opened a case at my insistence at a replacement. LG said they would get back with me in 7 to 10 days, which didnt happen. Set up another appointment with service contract, took the morning off work, and guess what a NO SHOW!!! I suggest everyone with these problems call Consumer Affairs (the government agency listed on our recall letters), I lodged a complaint there and was seriously considering joining one of the class action lawsuits about this fiasco! Service company said I had to have one more service call before they would consider the machine a LEMON, so I insisted it NOT be a third party vendor, but an actual LG repair person. This person called me to let me know when he would be here, had a LG shirt on, and after one minute said the recall fixer only did half the job, not to worry he could fix it. He said some of the vendors LG hired to do the recalls only replaced the software and then didnt do the proper programming. He proceeded to replace the rotors, the motor and finished programming the software. It did work! Not perfect as my clothes are more wet than I would like, so I have to run an extra spin cycle sometimes, but I am not getting the UE error codes, and able to use spin only cycle without water dumping in! He said dont use the cotton/normal setting, use casual and if washing towels wash 4, not only 2, and better to do bigger loads than small. The machine has a hard time sensing light small loads. I still would never purchase an LG large appliance again, or certainly this big fancy machine if I knew small light loads would be an issue, and certainly will not purchase an extended service agreement! So, moral of the story... INSIST on an actual LG repair person, even when dealing with the extended service company.

When contacting customer service they will not let you speak with any sort of management/supervisory personnel and there is no way to receive an address for a letter of complaint. Our convection microwave also stopped working after less than 3 years and had to be replaced at the same time as the second oven repair. Should have been done with the first oven repair but could not get the part from LG in time and they were going to charge for another service call!Side by side double drawer bottom mount freezer refrigerator hasnt had the water dispenser work for a couple years. Their top of the line dishwasher has been having grinding sounds for over a year and this week is now on a continual run cycle no matter which cycle you request, just does not stop as well as having the loud grinding sound the whole time it runs whether 2 minutes or 20 hours! Just waiting for our induction cooktop to be the last of the appliances to quit, should be coming any time now! It astounds me that consumers can pay top dollar for products and get lower than average results with the products and customer service. Trying to speak to anyone within the customer service center is a lesson in how not to conduct business, and not being able to have a contact address or email or phone number for customer complaint is infuriating.

LFX25991ST- 4th time for repair, DO NOT BUY LG: We bought this fridge in 2013. Right before the warranty was up the compressor broke. That was covered by the warranty even though we lost the $200 worth of food. A couple of months later, the fridge breaks again. The tech comes through days later. Food is spoiled. Lose $150. By this time I am using their extended warranty. The extended warranty has the worst service ever. It is an outsourced service where they read off a script and punch in numbers and information into a computer. They CANNOT help you in any way except waste your time.A couple months ago, same problem. Tech comes out and fixes it. It breaks days later and comes out three days later even though we bought food again. We have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Now, it has broken again! Same problem, not cooling, ice melting, and waiting for tech who will come in two days. Food will spoil again. Do not buy LG. Worst service and even worst product. I will buy Kenmore and call it a day. This has been a recurring nightmare. DO NOT BUY no matter what the deal is. Not worth it!

My LG dryer is a standard front loader no frills dryer that was relatively inexpensive when purchased over 3 years ago. The appearance rating was simply because it is pretty basic BUT for the money this dryer EXCEEDS expectations when it comes to reliability, performance, and value hence the superior rating in those areas. When it comes to dryers Bells & Whistles DO NOT improve performance, reliability, and definitely not value. My LG washer and dryer were purchased over 3 years ago as a brand new set from HHGregg in my area. I was told by the salesperson all the reasons I should upgrade and CHOSE not to. I have NEVER had an issue with the reliability of either. They work just as well if NOT BETTER than their counterparts that were 3x their cost.

The washer/dryer are quite stylish, work well. The washer is very versatile and can clean small or large loads. There are a myriad of cycles, many I do not use. There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

I purchased my LG French Door Refrigerator in August of 2013. It worked great until earlier this week when it completely stopped cooling after only 2 1/2 years of use. I called LG and was sent to an overseas call center where someone reading from a script was quick to inform me that the 1 year warranty of my $2,000 appliance had expired. Not only did they not make any effort to help me, all they did was provide the names of two non-local companies who could service my appliance at my expense. I called the companies who would not travel to my home. I called LG back and they told me to find a repair person myself because they have no authorized repair people in my area. I did find a repair person to look at it and it was determined to be a sealed system failure which would be covered under my limited parts warranty. I called LG back and they have no one in my area that will work on a sealed system failure on their product. I have a completely useless product and no one to fix it. I paid $2000 for a refrigerator and I am storing my groceries in a cooler in my garage. I have never received such horrible customer service and I would strongly caution anyone considering an LG appliance to NOT do it! I will NEVER do business with this company again.

ALL appliances purchased June - Aug 2020 (they arrived at different times). I INSISTED on getting LG appliances, as I had only known them to be a superior product. BOY was I shocked at the horrible product they have become. Our new appliances were purchased all at once. Our washer was defective from the first day and had to be replaced, our new fridge is making strange sounds and needs to be repaired (I suspect it is the compressor), and our dishwasher refuses to latch closed on a regular basis. The reviews I read now are horrible and it sickens me that I saved for years to buy new appliances that are in my opinion, garbage. As far as LG goes, run away as hard and as fast as you can! Ps: their customer service in regards to the repairs were very rude in spite of my being polite. One young guy actually hung up on me after I had to call three times for a response! HORRIBLE product, HORRIBLE service...

We purchased the LG gas range through Costco in October of 2017. Purchase through Costco extends the one year warranty to 2 years and using the Costco CitiCard for the purchase extends the warranty for two more years. We began having problems with the range in 2018. When we would turn the oven on we thought there was a smell of propane - this gradually became worse and worse. We noticed it a great deal when attempting to use the Easy Clean function - the burner would not light and the oven would not function during that process. Then we began to notice a problem every time we turned the oven on. We had the propane company come out and check the tank and flow regulator and everything checked out okay. We contacted LG and after some back and forth and delays the sent a local repair company out in November of 2018. The repair person checked the oven and felt there was a problem with the oven getting the proper amount of air to light. LG support told the repairman they would send an oven valve. That repair was not done until the middle of January 2019. I was told initially by LG to absolutely not use the oven until it was repaired. That meant we went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without being able to use the oven. In between all of this, the owner of the propane company came out and checked the gas flow to the oven since LG was saying they felt the problem could be the propane flow. The propane company did a water column test on the propane from the pipe to the stove and it was perfect. We began using the oven again and gradually problems began once again until one morning when my husband turned the oven on and the house filled with gas. We rushed around opening all of the windows and turning on fans even though it was a cold morning. This time I not only contacted LG but also contacted Costco concierge. Once again the repair person came out and inspected. He said when the oven is on there is a really bad metallic burning smell and it wasnt lighting properly. He once again had to wait for LG to send repair parts which he replaced as instructed. After completing the repairs the oven was still not lighting properly and was shooting gas. He made several attempts to get it working. The only way the gas would light was if he put his head into the oven and blew into the convection opening. Yikes! This oven is so not safe! I was very concerned that he might be injured by doing such a thing. Now we are once again in a holding pattern waiting for LG and Costco Concierge to come up with a satisfactory solution. I am fed up with the situation. Not only are we having these problems but this is not a very good range overall. When baking or cooking anything in the oven it is necessary to keep turning the food every few minutes or the back side of the food will be overly browned or burned. The other problem with the oven is there is no shield on the top of the door and if one isnt careful while the oven is open it is very easy to be burned on the leg by the hot metal edge. I havent had a problem with the knobs on the top being bumped and turned on but when I am cleaning the stove top I usually remove those knobs so that I can clean that surface too. The burner parts are pretty junky metal but fortunately, they are removable and with some work, it is possible to get them looking okay. I am noticing some rusted areas on the burner caps which seem to be crummy cast iron but I just scrub it off. On the whole, the range is a lot of work to keep up. We wont even go into the Easy Clean (its a dud) and the regular oven cleaning function is not so great either. Since we now have no idea how much longer this will go on we have purchased a countertop oven to use. We had borrowed one from a neighbor but since this has gone on for far too long we are appreciative of their kindness but dont want to continue borrowing. I feel that LG is just stalling us as long as they possibly can and only hope I can count on Costco to insist they make this right.

Have extended 3 yr warranty, and they will supposedly come next week to evaluate the situation. Now, after reading all of the above, we are concerned we also have an unfixable problem. i.e. the compressor. We also will be required to pay the service fee, and heavens knows what else. Has anyone heard of what can be done, to make complaints known to any and all consumers of these poor products. It is so frustrating to try and talk to anyone!!!

I have a 2 year old white French door refrigerator on which much of the plastic has yellowed: ice maker surround and trim on doors and drawers. As others have reported, we now have expensive ugly refrigerators and LG refuses to correct the problem, calling it cosmetic. I wonder how many LG execs would happily live with this cosmetic problem. Good plastic does not yellow; vinyl fences look great for many years despite constant exposure to sunlight when they are made of UV-resistant vinyl. LG just made a serious error in plastic selection and does not care enough about their customers to fix it or rebate our cost. So I am reminded every day why I will never buy another LG product and will tell everyone I can to stay away from LG.

LG gets the order for the parts, the technician comes out a month later, puts in the whole new compressor. Next day refrigerator isnt working yet again. Called the technician. They say they dont have anyone available and that if its not working then I need to call lg back. I call LG only to learn that they say the same technician has to come out and they can discuss with their technician over the phone whats wrong with my refrigerator. I bought an LG French door refrigerator November of 2014. Just before the end of the 1 year warranty the refrigerator started making noises. I didnt get around to calling LG until the beginning of December 2015. LG refused to help me unless I purchased an extended warranty for $250. I later called an appliance repairman and was told the noise was my compressor going out. After a year of service?! Are you kidding me?! I proceeded to call LG back to get the compressor replaced (which has a 10 year warranty), they once again wouldnt help me unless I purchased the extended warranty for $250. Really? You spend $3000 on a refrigerator and call for a repair under the warranty, after a year and half (at this point) and you have to spend more money to repair your piece of $3000 junk?! DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU!

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

Updated on 04/06/2021: This is my 3rd review. I have been dealing w customer service for almost 3 months because my refrigerator that is still under warranty, has had 2 compressors put in & has now been deemed unrepairable still has no resolve. There has been a class action suite against LG refrigerators because of their compressors that they have been using but still they are taking no responsibility for their product. Ive seen other reviews here on Consumer Affairs for the same thing. I will not ever buy another LG product again. Every time someone says they will call me back but they dont. Customer service is just a shield. I just want some resolution.Updated on 04/01/2021; I have been dealing w LG Refrigerators now for 2 & a half months. This is my second review. I am still trying to get some resolution. I have had several technicians come out & they have replaced the compressor 2 times w/ compressors that didnt work. They finally dreamed it unrepairable. So now I am waiting to see if I can get a full refund. Every customer service person tells me the same thing... They will do everything they can to get it rectified. I paid $2,699 plus tax. I got an LG refrigerator because it came w/ high ratings. My refrigerator was only 3 & a half years old before I started having issues. I loved my refrigerator up until this point.Do not buy this refrigerator. Read the reviews that have had the same issues as I have had. There has been a class action suit against lg because of this same issue. They have taken no responsibility for the problem & continue to send out compressors that dont work. Now I wait to be reimbursed... They did reimburse me $250 to buy a mini fridge.Original: DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!! Ive been dealing w/ customer service now for 2 months & still have no resolution. I bought my LG refrigerator in June of 2017. It stopped working January of 2021. Though we bought it at Lowes fifteen minutes away! The person on the line who can barely be understood tells us they dont have anyone near us to come look at it and that someone will be getting in contact with us within the next 24 hours. That was two days ago. I had just went shopping and filled this fridge and woke up and everything was spoiled!! I would definitely not get this refrigerator!! I have a child who now has to get her (what will fit) drinks out of a small cooler because I dont have another 4-5 thousand dollars to go purchase another refrigerator! My wife and I ordered a french door fridge for our first home two months before we moved in. It arrived a week after moving in and on arrival nothing worked. We have contacted LG over 10 hours over the phone and still do not have a path forward. When we have the fridge plugged in, no lights come on, no compressor or evaporator run, complete silence. We told LG it was not cooling and they told us to wait 24-48 hours even after I explained no equipment was operating. We finally got a technician out and they said the communication board needs repair. LG is telling me they were told there was an ice block. The fridge has not worked since day one so not sure how an ice blockage was reported. Its been 2 weeks and we still do not have any solution. We purchased an electric range, model LRE3012ST, on October 27, 2012, a top of the line model electric range. On the second day, we noticed that one burner when turned off did not show the HS indicating the surface was still hot. This is a safety feature to tell the consumer not to go near the burner since its still dangerously hot. We had two service calls over the next four weeks, and the technician would replace circuit boards. In both repairs the problem became worse, meaning other problems occurred besides still having the original issue. After the technician left the second time telling us he would call back when he had new parts, I decided to call Home Depot; and to make a long story short, LG called two days later and said they would deliver a new range. We received the new range on Dec. 22, 2012. And today, January 8, 2013, after having used the oven, we are unable to turn the oven off. The only way to turn it off is to pull the range from the wall and unplug it. My next call very shortly will be to Home Depot and demand they take this range; and I want it replaced with another range, but not an LG. I dont know where this range is made, but I will guess its China or the parts are made in China. And once again, China screws the American consumer.

The worst item EVER that Ive bought in my entire life. Ive had a lot of amazing dishwashers over the years from cheap on up. This ones a nightmare. From Day 1 there were issues with LG. Plates dont stack. They immediately fall over (like dominoes). The cutlery holder malfunctioned almost immediately. It no longer locks together to hold the utensil basket in place. This results in the far end basket (one of 4) tipping over into the unit from the weight. The top rack organizing glasses, bowls or cups. Again items continually fall over. I (originally) thought adjustable times on both the top and bottom rack was a smart idea. Im sure it looked good on paper but its a complete and total failure. Nothing is secure. Nothing is reliable. Does LG even bother to test the equipment they build? From the bottom of my heart...if you see this dishwasher for sale please just run away as fast as you can!

For four years I operated my LG Top-Loading Washer, Model #WT4801CW, using only HE detergent, managing the size of loads, etc. It worked well. However, over the years the bleach dispenser clogged, a two-inch crack developed in the top of the washers casing, and then in mid-cycle, the wash plate and cap popped off - bouncing around inside of the barrel and failing to agitate. Of course, LG offered the extended coverage (using another company, I later found). I could either spend close to $300 and receive two months of coverage or for almost double that amount, receive a full years coverage. I elected to buy the two months policy. After about a week, a tech from a local repair company came out, evaluated my machine, and sent them a report, including pictures of the damage. This seemed correct and the tech was personable. However, after another week, I called to find the status of my repair. They told me that I had to call LG. Of course, after extended conversations with a number of customer service reps, I was finally passed to LGs sub-contractor who actually administers this coverage. They, based upon the report of the visiting tech, determined that I had abused my LG Top-Loading Washing Machine and they had cancelled my policy. How, I asked, did they determine that I was as fault and abusive for the wash plate and cap popping off and bouncing around in the machine in mid-cycle?In short, nothing that I could say made any difference. They had made a partial refund of my coverage amount, and therefore the case was closed. So here I sit, fuming that there is nothing that I can do to refute this action and LG Customer Service refuses to take any action either because the coverage is with their sub-contractor. Im out $100, now branded as a WASHING MACHINE ABUSER, and no closer to a repaired machine than before. I highly recommend that you refuse any extended coverage based upon my experience. Otherwise, I TOLD YOU SO. Let the buyer be aware.

I purchased this refrigerator, model LFD22860ST, from Sears in Feb. 2007. Two weeks ago, I smelled an electrical type smell that woke me up in the middle of the night. The light bulbs had been burning while the doors were shut. The wiring was burnt. The light cover was burned and melted off and was laying on top of food. The top of the liner had begun to melt as well. I managed to get one bulb out. The other bulb burned out. One of the plastic tabs in the upper inside corners of the french doors (the part that is supposed to keep the door firmly closed) broke off. And the bracket deep inside that you screw the tab into has broken out as well. So, there is no way to anchor/screw a new tab in even if I wanted to. Its the door with the controls and water in it, so its a challenge to make sure it is not coming open by itself. The plastic piece that runs across the lower inside, that holds the crisper bins in, has broken in the middle. So, every time you pull/push the bins back in, you have to struggle with that as well. The ice maker overfills. And when you open the bottom freezer door, ice cubes come tumbling out all over the floor. With that, Im constantly turning the ice maker either on or off. Ive noticed that LG has discontinued this model. Was it discontinued because of these problems? I paid an awful lot of money for this designer, stainless steel, french door refrigerator. I really expected it to last more than 4 years!

Updated on 06/21/2019: Terrible service, Read reviews please prior to buying, Parts are impossible to get once needed. I have 6 yr old fridge that cost $3500 and we havent been able to get parts since April 9th. First part took 4 weeks to get and it was defective. It was manufactured 2 weeks after we ordered it. Ordered another control board the first of May and they keep delaying ship date. Now saying June 27th. Every week they move it back.Original Review: We have been unable to get parts for our 6 yr old $3500 refrigerator. Ordered April 9th and still nothing, every few days they give us a different answer. WE have been told they use a different board for almost every fridge and dont keep them in stock?? Now saying May 7th. Who can go without a fridge that long? We have children and new fresh items.

I purchased an LG dishwasher 6 years ago, in which time I have 4 service calls. This appliance was expensive and the repairs to date have included failure on the insulation (overheating), error messages causing the machine to stop, a leak, and most recently the machine smelled of burning electrical and has now completely shut down. I purchased extended warranties to cover the repairs, but the inconveniences Ive experienced and the nature of the failures of this product are not justifiable for a dishwasher in this price range and of its age.
