We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in May of 2015. We had it 2 days and it wasnt cooling, so Best Buy brought out a new refrigerator. That worked for 2 weeks and then the freezer was not cooling. Everything melted and we lost the food. Samsung did repair it. Now the refrigerator is 2 months beyond a year of purchase and the icemaker has failed. We have had a tech here twice, he did not know how to repair it. Finally Samsung sent a tech of their own. Multiple design problems with the icemaker confirmed by the tech. We are going to have to pay for the motor in the icemaker. I dont know the cost yet as he is working on it now but he said it is not cheap. Samsung refuses to stand behind this piece of junk refrigerator. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!

My Samsung French door refrigerator Rf267AERS started making fan noise and frost build up exactly one year after I purchased. So, it won’t be covered under warranty. I called the customer service, who were glad to forward me the service company phone number and made sure I realized I will have to pay the bills. I wish I have read these complaints before spending over $2,000 for a high end refrigerator that will need services right after the one year warranty period.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

I bought a refrigerator 5 years ago. After 2 years the ice maker stopped working. 3 weeks ago my freezer stopped working. Now just yesterday my refrigerator stopped working. Samsung wants to send out one of their high technicians for something thats a manufacturer issue. I shouldnt have to pay for that. The fridge cost me thousands of dollars. My mom has a fridge in her garage from the 80s that works like a charm. These products are thrown together and they are more worried about the looks. My refrigerator is all looks and no brain.

I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and an over the stove microwave 3 years ago. They worked great for about 2 years and then the trouble started. My refrigerator stopped cooling completely. I had a service tech come and he told me it was a manufacturers defect but since it was almost 3 years old, I was out of luck. Mind you, he didnt hesitate to try several times to fix it to the cost of over $700 before he suggested I dont put any more money into it. I tried to get him, as a service tech, to contact Samsung to inform them of the mfg. defect but he failed me on that also. The microwave fan went after about 2 years. It did work but was extremely loud. Then the other night (about 4am) I heard a beeping and the microwave was beeping SE. Now it does not work at all. I had to unplug it to get it to stop beeping. Never again on Samsung appliances. Oh yeah, I also have a range I bought which was Samsung and after 1 year with that, I had to have a burner replaced. Im not at all happy, very disappointed.

I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Well, that was enough of their customer service for me. Back that one went for a good old made in U.S.A. GE.

Our Samsung French Door refrigerator keeps icing up under the back panel. It started happening after the four-year warranty was out. We have had it fixed repeatedly during the last year at $100 minimum each time only for the problem to return within a month. Now it is every two weeks. I have learned what to look for, what sounds to listen for and to take the back panel off to defrost it myself. Granted it is 8 years old but as much as it cost it should have lasted much longer. The repairman cannot fix it so we cant even sell it.

We had a service man out before the warranty expired and he said it was working fine. It does sometimes but not always. It can work one time and next not maintain a temperature. Then the shelves on the French door began to break into many pieces... just exploded and dumped everything on the floor. I had to replace two of them. I also bought a Samsung dishwasher about 2 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher again. And I wouldnt buy another Samsung appliance either because of it. The issue I am having is with the lower arm. It keeps popping out from the tube it sits in. Every time I have make sure its in but 9 times out of ten its out when its finished. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I also have the same issue with the black gunk that builds up at the bottom of the door. I clean it quite often. Its GROSS! If you have a Samsung dishwasher run a paper towel along the inside of the bottom of the door. See what you get!

We received delivery of our gas range on August 20, 2015, over a week ago. I have only cooked on it three times. Each time I was unable to clean the stainless steel front and stove top. Also, the knobs are very loose and just a small pressure can activate the gas, which I find unacceptable, especially around children. I wish to return this gas range and replace it with another which is not dangerous.

I guess I will see how serious Samsung is about customer service tomorrow. My about 2 year old dishwasher has some plastic supports for the upper rack that are breaking down. In looking over customer complaints about the same model I guess it’s a real common problem. Some of the customers are saying that the brackets need to be replaced 2 OR 3 TIMES A YEAR, REALLY. How could this be, cant SAMSUNG come up with a QUALITY part that will last? HOPING I HEAR FROM SAMSUNG TOMORROW. I DONT understand why this model number cannot be flagged and the part just shipped without another 15 to 20 min on the phone. Sure hope they dont try to charge me for their poor choice in material and design. And I hope the part they do have to replace it with is not the same as the one that is breaking down. VERY UNHAPPY.

In general our machine is absolutely perfect. There are a few little idiosyncrasies, like the center cap on top of the lower drum axle, that's made out of plastic. It looks like chrome, but it's plastic. And it breaks at least once a year, and you have to buy one off of eBay or Amazon. The only other complaint is the whole mess around Samsung switching out the labels on the dial because of the betting balance issue. Kind of a pain in the ** really but it was a one-time deal. All in all love this machine.

Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.

We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.

We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! I remodeled my kitchen 2 years ago and purchased all Samsung appliances. This was the worst decision I have made in a long time. First of all every piece is garbage. What happened to Samsung?? WOW!! But specifically the oven is dangerous. I have considered replacing it since it was brand new because of the fire hazard. My daughters bedroom is right off of the kitchen. I have melted multiple plastic bags and set several things on fire because all the time the knob gets bumped on when you walk by it or reach to the microwave above to and brush against it. One morning when I went in there the burner was on, just barely thank goodness, and someone had put a Krispy Cream box on the stove. The box was brown from getting hot. I took a picture of it. I had three teenagers in the room next to the kitchen. One day Samsung is going to have a HUGE lawsuit on their hands when someone dies in a fire due to the ignorance of their engineers and the refusal of the company to correct the defect. It should be common sense to put as safety on these knobs. I am not surprised to have come across this page. Never will I purchase anything else made by Samsung.

Our dishwasher didnt clean very well, we often had to redo dishes. At about 11 months after we bought it, it stopped working altogether. It was still under warranty, but we had also purchased an extended warranty. We called Samsung, they referred us to an authorized repair shop. We contacted them, a guy came out and said it was a broken drain motor. He said its a common problem in Samsung dishwashers. He said hed order the part and let us know when it comes in. He expected it to take 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks without hearing from him, we contacted his shop. They said the parts had not arrived, well call you when they do. Another 2 weeks go by and we havent heard from them so we called them again and asked why its been a month already and we still have no dishwasher. We were told the technician would call us back. After another week, we had not heard from the technician so we contacted Samsung. Samsung said theyd check into it and call us back but after 2 more weeks, we hadnt heard from them. We then contacted Samsung via online complaint and were told there was never a ticket generated. We did a live chat, gave them the info we had, whom we had talked to about the parts etc. They had no record of it. I have a 3-page transcript of the conversation. We sent another copy of our purchase agreement (we had done this the first time) and heard from them 2 days later. They told us we were out of warranty and had to talk with the extended warranty people. This is after we had reported the problem while we were still under warranty (When we called the first time, they (Samsung) looked it up, told us we were still under warranty and thats when they gave us the info on the authorized technician shop to contact). They told us we have to contact the extended warranty company, which we did. They submitted for payment from Samsung so we could get the drain motor, and the drain hose. Samsung refused to pay for the drain hose part or labor. They said theyd pay for the motor but not the hose. They told us that we have to pay for and install the hose ourselves. They consider the hose a consumer installed part. This is a built in, under counter dishwasher. We tried to explain that it makes no sense since the drain hose is connected to the drain motor. If the hose does not drain properly, it could be the cause of the motor failure. Besides that, if we mess with putting the hose on and the motor fails again, they could come back at us to say we didnt install the hose correctly, therefore another fix of the motor wouldnt be covered under the warranty. We are quite frustrated at this point and dont know where to turn or what to do next.

Upon removing all of the packing tape from my brand new Samsung range, the many problems were revealed. Outer panels were not attached properly (one side held together with the packing tape), behind that panel, another completely detached piece of sheet metal, and the oven light was dangling from its wires. Upon the discovery of this possible electrical hazard, I decided not to risk plugging it in. Now I have a useless range in my kitchen, a fridge full of highly perishable foods to cook, and no resolution for several days... I just have to sit with it and wait for someone for Home Depot to call me back. I assume I will have to take another day off work to await pick-up (Samsung lost my confidence, replacement is not an option). I should have learned this lesson last year when my brand new Samsung phone needed warranty work after two weeks of ownership. I now ask the questions; what is the true cost of this transaction? How much money and personal time will this cost me? Will Samsung compensate me for any of that? After all, it was their carelessness and lack of quality control that lead to this. They could redeem themselves with an appropriate offer, however, based on what Ive read about Samsung CS, its not likely. Goodbye forever Samsung... Thats one Titanic Id like to see sinking.

I purchased this refrigerator a year ago and has been problem after problem. I mean from water leaking, handle broke and constantly freezing. A repairman has been out twice because it was still under 1 year warranty. This refrigerator was almost 3k and it’s truly trash. They had to replace the panel that shows ice and water and it still freezes.

Built new home 2010. In April 2014 after four years, dishwasher, a household of only 2, this dishwasher would not go into start mode and lights were flashing. Called Samsung, they advised no problems reported. Not under warranty, nothing they can do. Called for service they indicated it would cost more to repair, buy a new one. 5/30/14 purchased new same model since only model the store offered. In Jan 2015 dishwasher started to experience the same issues as my 4 yr old model. Still under warranty, Samsung repaired. Aug 2015 the dishwasher is again having the exact same issues. Samsung although stated the sensors have 5 yr warranty now they say they dont and will not repair. This dishwasher has a major problem and us the consumer is paying off it. Do not purchase this model.

First of all the vegetable draws very difficult to remove for cleaning. My 4 door unit is only 6 years old...and of course its out of warranty. The refrigerator part is forming ice and keeping a temperature of 50, where I have it set to 37. Will not deal with Home serve. They wanted 80 to walk in the door and another 80 for travel expenses. Live in Staten Island NY and they are coming from New Jersey...are you kidding. I told them where to go. Called an outside repair, which I have used before and now its the fan underneath the unit. And the repair is going to be expensive. DONT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG...EVER. I am just disgusted. I also have rust spots forming on the door of the freezer section and Samsung said its not covered. Really.

Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells
Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells and whistles of ANY Samsung sway you into buying. We bought our Samsung 3 years ago and were thrilled when it was delivered and installed. Sadly those emotions didnt last long. The first sign of trouble was lettuce/salad fixings freezing. Made sure it was not human error (temperature), this problem continued. Next came the ice maker refusing to make ice. After multiple, long-lasting, irritating contacts to the Samsung support tech no fix to my problems occurred. Water, then ice began to accumulate in the crisper drawers. A little in the beginning, then half-full and freezing solid anything in drawer. Repairman contacted for the ice maker. First one stated that there was no way he would attempt to work on a Samsung. Next one sighed and said he would try but that Samsung offers no tech support and parts stay on back order for a very long time. After checking out ice maker, said he could fix it with a $64.00 (wholesale) cost part IF he could locate it. Ice maker part located, repairman returned, so we inquired about water/ice in crisper. Blue light flashing on the top control as you open refrigerator-- uh oh. He took panels off, removed drain tab, unthawed ice, checked top control board, checked main panel, checked all of the fans. Main control panels were not turning the fan. Surmised that the control panel was not functioning. Even though this is not a financially good time for us, we went shopping today to check on a new refrigerator. Three stores and all salesman acknowledged that they understood why we would NOT look at a Samsung. One store told us that the models on the floor were the end of what Samsungs they would be selling because of not being able service them because it is too difficult to get the parts as they are always on back order. Salesman stated that there were a lot of service calls made on this brand. Wish I had known then what I know now about this brand of refrigerator.

Don’t buy Samsung appliances! I made 4 huge mistakes. I did my whole kitchen. And 18 months later I got the SE Code. I have done everything I could to get it going again. I am so upset. With my fridge, two of the drawers broke. My dishwasher had the top water dispenser break off. My stove gets scratched easier than it is supposed to. And my flipping microwave got the SE code. Dont buy Samsung! I will not buy another Samsung product - phone, etc. Dont even get me going about my Omnia Phone either.

Dishwasher is 2 and a half years old and does not finish washing cycle. The delicate light turns on during the wash, and the machine stops. We had a Sears tech come out, nice guy, replaced the float on the side and cleaned sensor. Still broken. Said it could be the control panel and replacement was over $300. I called Samsung and they said they couldnt help me. I spent 8 hours trouble shooting this piece of garbage and am looking forward to getting $5.00 at the dump for metal recycling when I tear it out. I will NEVER recommend or buy another Samsung product ever. Just look at their phones. CRAP!!

On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

They are telling me it is Cosmetic Damage and not covered. I could buy a new door if I am not happy. I understand Cosmetic Damage but this is not a scratch! It is rust!!! I have contacted them numerous times only to be told they can have a service tech come and take a look but I have to pay for it. The complaint escalated to higher customer service just to tell me that they have not previous complaints about this so there is nothing they could do.

Samsung is fully aware of the defective clips that will break from the top rack of their dishwasher and the clips get lodged in the pump motor and the dishwasher will not run. Their solution to the guaranteed reoccurring problem is to allow one time only repair outside of warranty and then the consumer is on their own after that. What they should do is proceed with a recall of the part and provide a retrofit or, at the very least, provide unlimited repairs to the consumer. My whole entire house is equipped with Samsung products and I placed my confidence in a company that doesnt back their products. There was simply no help offered or even concern regarding this defect. Simply put, I was told, We know and youve already used your one time allotted repair. BUYERS BEWARE. SAMSUNG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW THERE IS A DEFECT. The last repairman that came to my house left replacement parts for me because he knew it would happen again. I have done this three times now. I have been without a working unit since November 2014. Samsung built a lemon and they could care less about my hardship. I bought Samsung dishwasher, Model# DWF600UTW/AA. While still it is under warranty service, there was a problem with run ending in the middle and light started flashing. I called for service. The service person pulled out the dishwasher, and pushed it back very hard. When he left, I started the run, and dishwasher leaked all over and water puddled in the basement. There was not just the damage in the basement, but I had to re-install the dishwasher again with my own money. I never had leak before, the service person caused it, and Samsung doesnt want to pay the damages. The standard answer is, warranty is on the equipment parts and not the installation. Although their service person caused it! Another thing, if there is a damage-claim, Samsung transfers you to corporate affairs. They make you wait on the phone for hours! I strongly will advice anyone, not to buy their equipment, because if something goes wrong, this company doesnt take the responsibility. Neither they have a good warranty service.

I purchased a microwave last year and all of a sudden it started turning on by itself. I located on Samsung website was a sensor seems straightforward and obvious, same exact issues happening. They send a tech out who looked and bent my hinges as an attempt to “fix” a brand new microwave. As soon as tech leaves I open the microwave and close it, it turns back on so it wasn’t fixed within 5 minutes of tech leavening. I call Samsung. They schedule me again for another tech. I took off work again now 2 days. They never show up. I call Samsung and they told me they never came because the first tech said there wasn’t an issue with the microwave. Which is mind blowing considering he bent my microwave and damaged it to fix a problem that didn’t exist? And they couldn’t of told me that before I took off another day of work. So end result was hours wasted 2 days off work. No fix and they proceeded to tell me the customer that my microwave functions properly even tho it turns on by itself and turns off without any input. I have never dealt with such a terrible company who said they can’t do anything for me because at this point it’s their tech company and Samsung isn’t responsible so I’m out 2 days a work and a over the range brand new microwave now needing to be replaced. Never buy Samsung. Total scam company. I will never purchase a single thing from them ever again. They couldn’t even accept that it’s their microwave. They blamed the fact the tech company lied and said they fixed or never had to fix my microwave and said, We’ll sorry. Can’t help you. Complete disgrace.

Dishwasher cleans great, but after it was hooked up for a couple months one day the dishes did not come out clean. (I must say right off the bat that the dishwasher was in place for a year before it was hooked up so, although it had not been unwrapped, the warranty was up before the problem started.) Thought there might be dirt or something caught in the bottom under the screen. Took the screen and spin wheel thing off to clean it and found the problem was a small bit of plastic from the top rack had broken off and was stopping the little wheel from spinning the arms the water comes out of. Thought it may have broken because I had moved the top rack up to accommodate a tall item. Did not move the top rack again after that, but a month later, had the exact same problem caused by another bit of plastic broken off the rack. It is very annoying since there are 13 or 14 long screws that have to be removed to fix it. Would hate to be paying a repair person every time this happened! Seems awfully cheap production to have the racks falling apart and causing the dishwasher to stop working!

Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. I have a RFG29 Samsung French Door Refrigerator that is about 7-8 years old and no longer within warranty. We started having ice build up under the large slide-out crisper drawer that hindered getting the drawer to slide out. Called the Samsung US for help and the customer service person said it needed to be level - they explained when the screw down levels in front touched the floor, it was level. Of course that didnt work, so called back on a Thursday and another representative told me how to identify the error code on the control panel - that indicated a freezer evaporator defrost system failure. The rep then set me up with an afternoon service appointment for following Monday, and the service company would contact me to confirm the appointment. Was also told that a flat $120 fee would need to be prepaid. The repair service company called the next day and said their first available appointment time was the following Thursday between 1:00 and 5:00 - said the Samsung Customer service could only give me a preferred time, and not an actual appointment time since the local service company controlled their schedule. Also paid them the $120 fee via credit card. When Thursday afternoon came, I heard nothing and called Samsung Customer Service to find out what was going on. The Customer Service Rep checked and found that the first repair service had transferred the repair ticket to another repair service who quit doing business with Samsung the day before my scheduled service, and my ticket was transferred to a third repair service. The Rep gave me their name and number, and said they should contact me to schedule service. (I did check and found that my credit card had not been charged by the first repair service.) I checked reviews for the third repair service, and saw they were generally bad.I called a non-factory authorized repair service the next day (Friday) who came out that afternoon and immediately told me the problem had a factory service repair kit which they would install for a flat fee (suspect it was cheaper than Samsung) and warranty it for a year (think Samsung authorized service was either 30 or maybe 90 days). They ordered the part, came back the following Monday and installed the factory repair kit, and things seem to work fine. I never heard from the third Samsung authorized repair service. To top it off, I got a call from Samsung US Customer Service who wanted to know where I bought my refrigerator. Further, since Samsung could not provide a service tech, they would give us full credit toward a new replacement refrigerator. However, as my wife said, how are we supposed to shop for a refrigerator under COVID-19 lockdown? I told the Rep that I had the refrigerator repaired, and Samsung could pay the repair bill ($300) - the Rep then informed me since I didnt use an authorized Samsung repair service, Samsung would not pay for the repairs and also that I was no longer eligible for a replacement refrigerator! I politely (not) told her it would be a cold day in hell before I ever had another Samsung product. Subsequently, I received an email from Samsung canceling my repair ticket. At least I found what I consider a very good appliance repair shop locally.

For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.

I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products -some even older than mine. Samsung has had these issues for many years, in fact ConsumerAffairs published a report in 2009 which speaks to these issues, obviously still ongoing. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/samsung_settlement.html#It is unfortunate that Samsung has not improved the product, it is also unfortunate and regrettable that they wont apply the same level of service and attention to each case. Seeing so many others who have attained refunds (even posting pictures of the checks) while I am repeatedly told no is disheartening. I will do a lot of research and think very carefully before buying another Samsung product and I would strongly suggest others do the same, regardless of price/discount.Bill **

Sadly I have recently joined that large & unhappy group of ~$2500 Samsung Refrig owners that now dont have a working ice-maker due to a defect & Samsung has no workable solution to repair it... Oh, & if you even lightly brush against the stove controls the knobs turn on... The Microwave sounds like a Jet plane... etc... etc... So JUST DONT...

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher on 10/30/15. It began failing and showing error codes three weeks after its one year warranty expired. Samsung sent techs out three times, twice with no charge and never fixed the fundamental problem; the machine stopped cleaning dishes. Samsung made exceptions and we did not pay a cent for the service visits, but it was utterly impossible to get the company to simply replace the washer as it was just not functioning any longer. Short fused customer service at best and obviously a product line that is inferior. A class action lawsuit ought to be initiated against the company for anyone who bought a dishwasher that has failed in the past 5 years. An abhorrent experience with a dishwasher that was less than 14 months old.

We love our Samsung Smart French Door refrigerator! It is counter-depth, with the black fingerprint resistant finish. Beautiful appliance that really looks fantastic in our kitchen. This refrigerator has a surprisingly large food capacity. It has the 4-zone drawer, adjustable shelves, ice maker and water in the door. One of my absolutely favorite feature of this refrigerator though is the built-in pitcher inside of the door. It can be used as a fruit infusion pitcher and it automatically refills itself! The bottom freezer has two drawers with separations and makes organization easy.

I scrolled down and read the reviews until the Dec. 28, 2010 entry where I found someone who had the same dishwasher as I have: DMR57. I loaded my dishwasher last night, put in the soap and shut the door to start it. When I touched the start button, it was dead. The whole touch panel was dead. Thinking somehow a breaker had blown, I checked on that and it had not. The machine was just dead. My husband is an electrician, but he didnt even get a chance to check the electrical. He shut the door and something inside, the latch broke. Now the door doesnt latch. We bought this unit in September 2008. After having it for two weeks back then, we called the service department explaining how touchy the control panel was. If you just skimmed the panel, you could turn it on or off. The instrument was replaced but it is still extremely sensitive. We began to put the touch panel in the child lock mode when in use and when not in use. By doing so protected the touch panel; we couldnt turn it on or off. It is awful when the dishwasher is on and in mid-wash cycle and you accidentally touch or skim the panel and the whole machine is turned off. This dishwasher does not restart from where the cycle was shut off. You have to restart the wash cycle from the beginning. Weve decided to replace the dishwasher with another brand instead of fixing this one. Dishwashers should last some 10-15 years. We will not be buying a Samsung. I must say that we have a Samsung refrigerator that I just love! I may jinx myself, but lets hope not.

The fridge itself is ok. But we had a problem with the refillable water pitcher. Customer service was a nightmare. No one would validate the problem. Just hours upon hours of corporate propaganda and not owning up to their mistake. Plus the replacement parts are outrageously priced. There are plenty of good appliance makers out there - its not worth buying from Samsung.

I dont see model no on it but it is stainless interior and black exterior with electronic buttons. I have been very satisfied but I couldnt give it a 5 because it has some trouble occasionally with heavily soiled dishes and when it dries it leaves water in any surface that is not completely flat. The quick run doesnt seem to be any shorter than the regular and it is a long run. It has a heavy soil. It is very quiet.

We purchased the Samsung stainless steel bottom freeze refrigerator (Model RF4287HARS) from Lowes last November. The water from the dispenser is fine but the ice has a musty/plastic taste when it melts and is unusable. I contacted Lowes service and they scheduled a repairman to come out and check the refrigerator. The service guy ordered parts and in a few days, replaced the filter housing and hoses. The ice still tasted bad. I called back to Lowes service and they schedule the service guy to come back. He replaced the ice maker this time but that still did not correct the taste issue. I called service back and they suggested scheduling the service guy for a 3rd visit even though all the parts had been replaced. This was suppose to trigger an automatic Cannot be Repaired process and Lowes would request a Return Authorization from Samsung. First, Samsung refused to revisit the taste issue and also refused to issue a Return Authorization number. More or less, Samsung is saying were stuck with a refrigerator we cant use the ice from. Lowes Customer Support called and said they had done all they could do and that we could contact Samsung ourselves. We talked to a person in Executive Support thats suppose to be trying to get this resolved but, for now, were stuck with this refrigerator. We will never buy another Samsung product of any kind!!! If Lowes doesnt handle this to our satisfaction, we wont do business with them any longer and with our house remodeling business, we buy quite a lot from Lowes each year.

Nightmare... Purchased the dishwasher June of 2014, 2 years later water wall error 7E, which is an expensive fix. It involves two motors and a sensor. Called several service technicians in our area, they all stated that there are several service bulletins and TSIs posted for Samsung service technicians in regard to this issue so it would be best if I called Samsung because Samsung should fix for free because it is a product defect that is warranted. I called Samsung at 1.800. Samsung and spoke with William in customer service. He agreed that this is a defective issue with this Samsung dishwasher and that they would offer me a one-time extended service agreement and would set up an authorized Samsung service company to come out and fix it.The next day I received a call from the Authorized Service Company, Quick Fix and they said that I would have to pay for the service because it was out of warranty, I stated what William had told me. They said, “Well, in addition to this not being written in the notes, we no longer service your area so Samsung will have to provide another authorized service company for your unit.” So I called Samsung back and spoke with supervisor Tyler (employee number- **) and Layla (employee number **). They stated that William had not written it in the notes for the extended service warranty and that Samsung does not even have an authorized service company in our area, so they wouldnt be able to help us. We have asked them to review the recorded service call with William as they stated that they couldnt honor because it was not in the notes.I went back to my warranty. It states that Samsung will cover all parts and labor if it is deemed to be a defect issue. We went back to Best Buy to receive assistance with the issue as we had purchased the DW80H9930US from Best Buy. The sales reps, Chris, tried to call Samsung and get help with the issue as they had a list of authorized Samsung service repair in SWFL. Samsung also told Best Buy that they did not have authorized Samsung repair service in SWFL. Best Buy started giving them the list. They said that Best Buy would need to contact Samsung’s ECR service. Best Buy did state that this is always an issue with Samsung and that they have poor customer support and that there are a lot of issues with Samsung appliances.ECR was closed, so Best Buy passed my complaint to Vanessa, she called ECR the following week. Samsung’s customer service agent told Vanessa that Samsung would be giving me a full refund on my dishwasher as they know that there is a severe issue with the water wall on these dishwashers. Samsung had Vanessa fax my receipt and other documentation to a fax number. They were supposed to send fax her back with a refund letter so that I could purchase a new dishwasher from Best Buy. A couple of days went by with no word, so Vanessa called Samsung back. Samsung stated that they had no record of Vanessa ever calling and that no refund would be issued. Vanessa stated that Best Buy would not be able to help me any further. Why are Samsung and Best Buy still selling these dishwashers if they know that there are severe issues with the product and that neither one of them will stand behind the product, so the customer is left with an overpriced appliance that does not work. Both companies have failed in providing customer service and support. Neither one stands behind the warranty. Hoping that all appliance companies will read this and stop selling Samsung appliances! Customers stop buying from Samsung and Best Buy!

I have multiple Samsung products and thought I could trust them. I purchased a French Door bottom freezer about 3 years ago (model # RF267ACRS/XAA) from Sears and luckily bought the rather expensive Master Service Agreement with a 3-year extension (a rip-off because the 1st year is supposed to be manufacturer covered). Fridge worked fine for 2 years. Then we noticed ice freezing up on the back panel of the fridge compartment. The fan started making a loud noise, and we called Sears (who owns their A&E service dept they send out, a major conflict of interest) and the tech melted the ice and said he cleaned out a drain. Fridge seemed to work for about another 4 months, then ice was building up again on the panel that stores the twin cooling system. Another tech call takes 2 weeks to get problem resolved. A new panel is installed and tech tells us he sees this problem frequently. I also have noticed the problem posted by many people on the internet. I expect that the back panel will once again freeze up. My next step is to contact Samsung to see if they have recommendations or can replace our faulty fridge, but do not expect results as it has been 3 years since we bought the $2600 fridge. With warranties, it has cost us more than $3500. Maybe someone will start up a class action lawsuit against Samsung as this appears to be a systemic quality issue. Does anyone know if one has been started?

My family recently purchased a Samsung, french door refrigerator. We even purchased a 5-year warranty with this appliance and a lot of good that did us. After owning it 6 months, the ice machine kept thawing out and refreezing, never working properly. Then after a big whopping 1 year, the SAMSUNG FRIDGE COMPLETELY QUIT!!! We lost everything inside the fridge and went without a fridge for over a week and a half. And do you think SAMSUNG honored the warranty... Nope!!! Do you think they honored the full replacement... Nope!!! We still have a little loaner fridge because nobody can seem to help us. So I wouldnt recommend a Samsung fridge to anyone. Not only is it $expensive$, but it never worked properly and obviously the warranty is worth nothing.

I bought a home where former owner installed a Model DMR577XXX Samsung Dishwasher. From day one, food particles were all over the glasses and dishes. Running it again or on Heavy does not help. I had it serviced for replacement of upper spray arm, but no improvement. Im ditching it and buying a new one after reading all of these reviews from owners with the identical complaint. It is humiliating for a guest to see those specks of food all over the glasses and dishes. I always scrub my dishes down - the food specks are coming from the water in the dishwasher somehow. DO NOT LET YOUR WORST ENEMY buy one of these pieces of junk. OH, and the cycles run FOREVER - Plan on letting it run all afternoon before your dishes are ready so you can use them for dinner!!

Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked
Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked and fell off. Some door shelves simply fell out and broke as well. The center deli drawer sticks requiring serious pulling to get it open. The hinges for the cover for the deli drawer broke at the pivots which are built into the refrigerator. The cover also fell out and cracked. Our house is not air-conditioned. When the temperature gets into the 80s, the refrigerators control computer does not like that and the control panel blinks on and off, turning on and off all of the functions (upper ice maker, lower ice maker, crushed ice, water) and the temperature control randomly switches as well. The lower ice maker fell off after a few months. Samsung would not help. I engaged a private repair company who indicated that they had seen that happen before. A few weeks after he replaced the ice maker, it broke again. The repair company indicated that they would not/could not guarantee any repairs on the Samsung refrigerator. At this point, there is no lower ice maker at all. Upon several occasions, the upper ice maker flap jammed open. And as other reviewers have mentioned - Samsung customer service is about the worst one could imagine. In all, the terrible experiences that we have had with this refrigerator have given us one clear path forward: NEVER, EVER purchase any Samsung refrigerators!!!

I bought a Samsung RF266 in 2008 after reading reviews on several websites about how convenient and reliable they were. Talk about bunk, I really wonder if these companies pay for those endorsements. I have had nothing but problems with this pile of junk. The ice maker falls apart constantly and rarely works right. And then, the fridge completely froze up inside. The repairman told me to let it thaw out 24 hours before he can come work on it (what am I supposed to do with the food in the meantime?). And then, he said hes not sure whats wrong with it. He spent an hour on the phone with a Samsung tech (which he charged me $48 for) and replaced a part that took 3 days to get. That didnt fix it. He rebated the labor but I was still stuck with the part ($65). I waited 3 more days for another part, which still didnt fix it. Two days later, we got another part, which did fix it. Samsung technical said that both parts were bad. I paid $1,800 for the unit. And I have, to date, spent nearly $900 in repair bills, not to mention what Ive suffered in food loss. Im also told there is a class action lawsuit over this issue that Im having. But I cant find access to the site where I can get in on it. My best advice: If you really want to buy a Samsung, buy an extra fridge in case the main Samsung goes down.

Bought Samsung refrigerator RF263BEAESR in 2012 and within 2 years, the ice maker failed. Samsung would not fix since it was out of warranty. I spent the next 7 years calling periodically to see if they would address their defective product. They never would - until this year! Now they agreed to replace the ice maker. However, since Ive spent 7 years chisling, blowdrying, doing whatever I could to remove the shoebox size block of ice that appears - the housing that the icemaker sits in has become disfigured. Because I damaged the housing, my ice maker cannot be replaced and they will not replace the housing. So - they make a piece of crap ice maker - I suffer 7 years of listening to strange noises, fighting an ever-growing glacier of ice, etc. - and now, after 7 years - Im at fault for damaging the ice maker housing. I will never buy a SAMSUNG product as long as I live. They are despicable.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

Ice dispenser went crazy and was dispensing ice inadvertently into the kitchen floor. 542 dollars later, new front panel with control board, now will not make ice. A&E/Sears made an effort to repair and 3 days later, still no ice. Repair tech said there is a service bulletin if my unit was made 2 months earlier, but parts are still over 500 dollars. To schedule a Tech, usually takes another 2-3 weeks also. Junk is a conservative adjective for this refrigerator. I have read many reviews of consumers with the same problems.
