Our dishwasher didnt clean very well, we often had to redo dishes. At about 11 months after we bought it, it stopped working altogether. It was still under warranty, but we had also purchased an extended warranty. We called Samsung, they referred us to an authorized repair shop. We contacted them, a guy came out and said it was a broken drain motor. He said its a common problem in Samsung dishwashers. He said hed order the part and let us know when it comes in. He expected it to take 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks without hearing from him, we contacted his shop. They said the parts had not arrived, well call you when they do. Another 2 weeks go by and we havent heard from them so we called them again and asked why its been a month already and we still have no dishwasher. We were told the technician would call us back. After another week, we had not heard from the technician so we contacted Samsung. Samsung said theyd check into it and call us back but after 2 more weeks, we hadnt heard from them. We then contacted Samsung via online complaint and were told there was never a ticket generated. We did a live chat, gave them the info we had, whom we had talked to about the parts etc. They had no record of it. I have a 3-page transcript of the conversation. We sent another copy of our purchase agreement (we had done this the first time) and heard from them 2 days later. They told us we were out of warranty and had to talk with the extended warranty people. This is after we had reported the problem while we were still under warranty (When we called the first time, they (Samsung) looked it up, told us we were still under warranty and thats when they gave us the info on the authorized technician shop to contact). They told us we have to contact the extended warranty company, which we did. They submitted for payment from Samsung so we could get the drain motor, and the drain hose. Samsung refused to pay for the drain hose part or labor. They said theyd pay for the motor but not the hose. They told us that we have to pay for and install the hose ourselves. They consider the hose a consumer installed part. This is a built in, under counter dishwasher. We tried to explain that it makes no sense since the drain hose is connected to the drain motor. If the hose does not drain properly, it could be the cause of the motor failure. Besides that, if we mess with putting the hose on and the motor fails again, they could come back at us to say we didnt install the hose correctly, therefore another fix of the motor wouldnt be covered under the warranty. We are quite frustrated at this point and dont know where to turn or what to do next.

I purchased the Samsung French Door RF26V Series Refrigerator at Lowes. Approximately 15 months afterwards the refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed back wall inside was frozen. I was forced to purchase a used refrigerator and put in my garage because it was unsafe to store food at 45 deg. Repairman told me to unplug it for 3 days and let it defrost or thaw out and try to restart, and if that doesnt work he will come look at it. Also the ice maker just keeps pushing ice out the top of the bin causing it to break the bin - $99 for replacement. I paid $2500.00 for this appliance and I am very disappointed with the Samsung product. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance nor will I recommend the product to friends or family. This is day 2 of defrost, I feel like Im in the olden days of having to defrost the refrigerator. I am a widow raising a teenager and cannot afford to buy a new one. Thank you.

I bought all Samsung (CRAP) in 2008. I have had nothing but problems. The dishwasher is falling apart with cheap plastic parts and control board had to be replaced in 1 year. The microwave part inside keeps melting from the heat. I had to buy 3 of them. Now the refrigerator has pooling water under the crisper drawer. I have to take the drawer out every couple of weeks and wipe it out. When you go to store, stay out of Samsung aisle.

This refrigerator was the most expensive in the store, but I thought it would be the best and it is the absolute worst. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. It doesnt give you ice cubes, just pieces of ice that go flying everywhere. Ice gets built up and clogs the ice maker and you have to take an ice pick to remove it or it wont make any ice. I absolutely hate it and Im stuck with it for a good long time.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model #dw80f600its in March 2014 with a one year warranty from Samsung and a 2 year extended warranty from hhgregg. Within the first year Samsung had to come out twice, both times there was a water code error. After that, I had to contact hhgregg for another water code error. They have come out twice for the same problem. Each time the service tech had replaced a sensor on the unit along with a tank on the side of the unit. Now, I still have 3 months left on the 2 year extended warranty. Surprise, I have the same error again. This time hhgregg says that they are no longer responsible for this dishwasher, the cost of repairs had exceeded the retail cost of the unit. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung dishwasher and it certainly will NOT be from hhgregg. What is point of an extended warranty if they wont honor it?

RF24FSEDBSR Apr 2013 Counter Depth French Door 7 repairs already. Samsung HORRIBLE to deal with, keep losing my information. Then get handed off to someone who will get to the bottom of this and never calls back. Get through to same number, guess what... No record of my call but they will get right on it... Keep asking me to use my extended warranty vs admitting it is a defect. Ice maker completely freezes up, stop working leaks... shorts out the board on the deli drawer... replaced 3 times wont stop making alarm sounds from door... 3 ice makers later still same issue... Repair man said, this fridge keeps us in business. Seal is a joke and repair parts already more than a new fridge but Samsung has paid $0.00 so they dont care. We bought the fridge for the ice maker as our son has severe medical condition and his meds/foods need icing at all times. This just sucks for over $3000.00 refrigerator. Samsung do the right thing and replace this nightmare.

This induction range/oven (FTQ307NWGX/XAA) was very a very expensive piece of equipment. It looks beautiful and high end, but its a useless piece of junk now and ready for the landfill. Samsung has discontinued making two parts that we need to fix the induction cooktop. The circuit boards blew up and there are no replacement parts being made. Samsung doesnt stand behind their products. They simply told us sorry. Sorry?! That stove was over $2000 and cannot be fixed! How irresponsible of Samsung! Not only is this bad for the consumer, but its bad for the environment! I understand that things break, but the fact that there are no parts being manufactured to fix it is inexcusable. Samsung has lost a customer for life!

David in Ohio, I had the same exact situation occur with my microwave. It was made in Feb of 2010. But I did not take possession of it until Sept of 2010. I was storing a freshly made chocolate cake in the microwave when I came home from work to smell a horrible odor of something burnt in my home. I freaked out and began searching for the cause. It wasnt until later that I noticed the code for a short on my microwave. I unplugged it and cleaned the horrible mess out of it. Then I re-plugged it in and reset the clock and tried to warm up a cup of water. Everything worked fine. So I thought, ok, that was weird, how did it turn on by itself? Then as I was going about other business, I heard the microwave turn on.... When I got to it the message screen said it was cooking in Baked Potato mode. Now that was crazy! So I have been without use of my microwave for a few days. I began looking online for any recalls. I did find a similar issue recalled back in early part of the 2000 decade. But nothing recently. Then I saw Davids post. My situation almost EXACTLY!!!! I did also post a complaint on Samsung Supports Facebook page. They replied with a link for me to go to and complete with info for them to get back in contact with me. We will see. I hope this company will stand up and make good on some type of faulty problem with their product. I would hate to have to buy another brand. I already have a Samsung range and was looking at replacing my current Kenmore dishwasher with a Samsung. All depends on how they handle this situation. Obviously it is a mfgs defect. Not caused by anything I did.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator model #RS265TDBP in July 2010 from Best Buy. In early 2012, the computer board display on my refrigerator couldnt be read. It appeared to be working fine, you just couldnt read it and I had no idea what the temperature was. Since it only had a year warranty, the Samsung Certified Repair in my area came out to fix it at a cost of $200.00. Then in July of 2012, my refrigerator stopped getting cold. The freezer was fine, but the fridge stopped. We again called the Samsung certified person that had done the repairs before, but they said they only issued a 30-day warranty on the computer board (which we were told by another tech was the problem). We decided to go with another repair company that gave a 5-year warranty on parts. They came out and said there was a block of ice on the fan motor, which caused it to blow out the circuit board and the computer board. Now to fix it was over $300. Now just two weeks ago, Dec 2012, the exact same thing happened again. The fridge got warm, food spoiled, no fan running and the smell of burnt circuit board. We called the company who did the repairs and had them come out again to inspect. Lo and behold, it is the exact same problem. Since they gave us a 5-year warranty on the part, they are paying for the new parts but we still have to come up with the $140 labor. I contacted Samsung to tell them about the defective unit and see if they could do anything to help as it looks like we are going to have to repair this every 3-4 months or purchase a new one. All they said was its too old and there is nothing they can do. Really? Its less than 3 years old. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator! My refrigerator is a lemon.

I purchased the Samsung dual convection steam wall oven in March of 2018, after about a week I noticed that it started to reset itself, just turn off and on. After I noticed this several times I scheduled service to have it repaired. Sad to say that after 8 visits to my house and just about every part replaced they still didn't fix it. March of 2019 my 1 year warranty expired and the problem continued. I finally contacted Samsung directly using the chat feature on Saturday August 3rd. I received a phone call the following Monday asking a questions about the oven and she told me I would be receiving a refund.. She emailed me a claim form, I followed the instructions and sent in the required photos and 2 weeks later they sent me a check for $3236.00... They said if I would have contacted them prior to the warranty expiring they would have given me a full refund of $3699.00. Either way I'm happy and I think this is great customer service.

We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher woes - I bought this unit from Appliances Connection in NY over a month ago and today is the first day its been able to run. The door hinges werent assembled properly and the first time I opened the door, it broke. It took a month and a huge runaround between Samsung, Appliances Connection and the local service provider to get the parts. Once the door was repaired, I completed the installation and it leaked all over the floor. I loaded it into my truck and took it to the repair center myself to save time. I hope my trouble is over with this unit. Samsung, their dealer and the repair center played point the finger for a month - very poor indeed!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2011, bought all new appliances, all Samsung, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, on 12/18/2010. There are only the two of us, however I only use it when we have a full load. We rinse our dishes, therefore no smells and I keep it clean. However, it started not finishing the complete normal cycle giving me a s3 code. I had my repairman to look at it ($75). He also had a discussion with online help. We ordered the part ($50). He installed it ($100), still got the same thing and my repairman was told this may not fix it. Then we would have to order a pump, not knowing how much a pump is and $225.00 later and being told this could happen in another 2-4 years. We have bought a new dishwasher, and sure isnt a SAMSUNG. I do expect my appliances to last longer than 4 years.

Had this refrigerator for 10 years and had problems with the freezer size. The service dept sucks!!! With Samsung, no regular appliance repair will touch it since they cannot source any spares unless you are an authorized service center. Result = lousy service!! We had the tech come in last month and after talking to some superiors over the phone half the time, said it was a thermostat issue. No spare on hand despite the fact that the symptoms were well described to the Samsung call in center over 2 calls of 30 mins each. Replaced a thermostat which he claimed was not meant for this model and guess what? Broke down in 1 month and had to call again. Despite asking for not sending the same guy again, they sent him. Fine, this time he opened out the fridge fully and claimed some more parts are defective and could not explain why this could not be determined earlier. Anyway, long story short, we went out and bought a GE fridge and decided NEVER SAMSUNG again.

I replaced my refrigerator which had served me 27 plus years (it was Whirlpool). I wanted to upgrade, so my son recommended Samsung. It has only been 6 yrs., but the plastic shelves were so brittle on both the refrigerator and freezer. It only took 2 years when these shelves were showing signs of undurability. We are only 3, 65-year-old plus women (sisters) in the household, so we are very careful on our belongings. I am not in the position anymore to buy new ones since I am on fixed income and cant afford to make a big purchase. But now I have to make a loan to buy a new one. When we open the refrigerator and freezer, we get so disgusted. It cost me so much money that it makes me sick to my stomach that this expensive refrigerator is a piece of crap! I will not buy anything Samsung. I’m going to look for Maytag, Whirlpool, or Frigidaire. I dont trust these new companies! I hope Samsung will do something about my problem. I purchased Samsung Chef Collection refrigerator around Nov/Dec of 2014. Best looking refrigerator at the time. Paid over $4000. Well, I must say, it does look good, but where is the bases of the GOOD REFRIGERATOR? I wonder. Reason being is that, the ICE MAKER has been giving me problem about 9 months into use. Ice would not come out, so I tried to pull the ice basket off. It was stuck and could not remove it. Called warranty service, then it was close to being expired. Tech came and fixed it, then month later it was doing it again. Seems to me that when ice is being produced, the water splashes along the wall and it freezes the mechanism around it. When tech came, he had to turn off the refrigerator and use the steamer to melt around it. Another problem that I am experience is when ICE is being dispensed, only CRUSHED ICE will come out. So, I guess entire ICE MACHINE is just a JUNK after all. I would not recommend you getting this unit. I should have listen to the sales person, because, he did say, Samsung has weak ICE Machine, but didnt warn me enough. (He should have said, ICE MACHINE is a some Piece of **.) I hope they will do recall on this unit or replace it at no cost. Better yet, they better come out with better ICE MACHINE Technology that will simply produce ICE.

On May 7, 2015 our Samsung refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling, and all our food was spoiled. The unit was under warranty so I contacted Samsung but they refused to honor their warranty. It took twenty days of emailing product support, service request, phone calls and live chats between Samsung and I, for them to finally send someone to look at the unit. It took another seven days for a repair man to show up with a replacement part to fix it. We went almost a month without a fridge. The working fridge only lasted a few days before it failed to cool again and I lost what I had stored in my fridge, again. A technician was able to mend the problem. But just a few days later it gave out again. Every time this unit failed I lost most of the food in the fridge. I purchased this microwave (M/W) Microwave Model SMH9187ST/XAA a little over three years ago. First, after a few months of use the turntable stopped working. I could fix it myself with not much expense. Thanks to Youtube. Then after a few months the handle broke. By this time the M/W was over one year old. So, I called the customer service. Since it was already a few weeks over one year, they refused to take care of it. I then fixed it myself. The next was the Touch Panel which stopped working. I called Samsung Tech support who again refused to take care of the problem. So, I purchased the Touch Panel and fixed it again. Now the inside light stays on 24/7 and fan comes on the moment door is closed. Only way to stop it from running is unplug every time I am done using the M/W. Again, I called Samsung. As at least some of you have experienced, it takes minimum 30 minutes for someone to pick up your phone. Again, they refused to take care of the problem and said a service tech would call me to set up an appointment at my cost. Since then I called over 7 times in the past two weeks (I kept a log), nobody called back. Finally after a testy conversation, I asked them to give me their service techs number and I called them myself to set up an appointment. Now waiting for the service tech to show up and give me the dreaded figure for repair or pay the service charge. Will NEVER buy Samsung appliance again. BTW: My Stainless Steel Fridge which I bought at the same time also started giving problems after a year, no solutions from Samsung on that too.

This is the first and last time that I will write a review for a Samsung product, because I will never be purchasing one again. Until my last experience with Samsung, I believed that they were a good company with solid products. As a consumer, I expect my product to work as designed and for that manufacturer to stand behind whatever warranty may accompany that product; pretty simple. I have never actually taken the time to write anything like this and post it on the internet, but here is my story and I truly hope that it dissuades anyone from purchasing a Samsung product under the false assumption that you have the backing of the manufacturer if anything should go wrong with your product.I purchased my dishwasher (Model # DW80F600UTS) in mid April of 2014 from Lowes. I paid around $500 and for the money, it did the job. In February of 2015, less than a year after I purchased the unit, it started having problems. Like you might read on countless other reviews and forms, the smart auto and heavy lights would start flashing 10 minutes into the cycle, the dishwasher would drain, and the dishwasher would not clean the dishes. Upon investigating the issue, I discovered that this is an indication that there is a problem with the float switch. Again, simple problem, but with the number of issues related to this one topic, it is very clear that there is a defect in the dishwashers design. Here is a complete list of the calls I made to Samsung and the numerous challenges I encountered:February 18, 2014 - Called and described the problem. Samsung contacted an appliance service company (So Cal Tech, Inc.) in my area to address the issue. February 20, 2014 - Service center calls me to set an appointment to fix the issue once they receive 2 parts, the float switch and main board. Parts will be in in 2 days and we will be there to fix the dishwasher. February 26, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The parts arent in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 2, 2014 - Service center calls and sets the appointment to come fix my dishwasher. March 5, 2014 - Repairman arrives. Extremely rude to my wife. Curses his company as he tells her that they only sent him 1 part he needs. Repairman leaves, dishwasher not functioning. I call the service center... We will have the part in in 2 days.March 9, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The part isnt in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 16, 2014 - Part arrives, repair scheduled. March 19, 2014 - Repairman arrives, installs the main board. Dishwasher appears to run ok, but after the repair man leaves, it does the same thing. I call Samsung and I am told they need to fix the float switch again. I tell them that I am not going to accept that, so I am transferred to their executive customer service team. I explain the issue and they put it in review to have the unit replaced. I am promised that they will call back within 48 hours.March 26, 2014 - Instead of a call back from Samsung, I get another repair center. This time they tell me that I am going to be charged for the service. I say absolutely not, and that I will call Samsung. Again, I am transferred to the executive customer service team, who states they dont know why I wasnt called back and they couldnt find a note on the review in their system. Again, I am told that they are going to review the case for replacement and that I will hear back in 48 hours.April 2, 2014 - Samsung never calls back. I call again. Transferred to the executive customer service team. This time, I tell the nice lady on the other end of the phone that I am not going to accept a call back and that I wanted to speak to someone that could resolve this issue immediately. She talks over me for a minute, reciting the process that I have to follow, after which, she hangs up on me. I call back, enraged, transferred to the executive customer service team. Find out that the lady that just hung up on me has closed my pending issue ticket. I explain what I have been through, I am promised a call back from the supervisor of the executive customer service team.April 9, 2014 - Guess what, Samsung never called back. I call, get transferred to the executive customer service team and like an idiot, I allow them to do ANOTHER review. I ask the representative to take notes on the entire story. At the end, I ask what he has written down (there were several times I was on hold for him to put the notes in the system) and he hasnt recorded a single note. We go through it again, he reads it back to me. And I am PROMISED a call back in 48 hours.April 15, 2014 - Getting sick of this yet? I am. No call back from Samsung. What they did do, is have another service center call me and offer to come fix the dishwasher. Just as I am about the explode, they also inform me that I am out of warranty and that I will be charged if they come to fix it. April 22, 2014 - Now Im here. 20 hours on the phone with Samsung over a $500 dishwasher and all I ever wanted them was to stand behind their product. Thanks Samsung. Dishwasher is still not working and I am done spending my time on trying to get Samsung to do anything about it. If you read this and still buy an appliance from them, then I hope you spend a couple hundred extra bucks on an extended warranty... youre going to need it.

I bought the Samsung refrigerator model RB195ACPN in August of 2012. I noticed water in the right vegetable crisper around February of 2014, less than 2 years old. I wiped it out and thought it was the humidity level. Well 5 months later it was still happening and ruining my food in the crisper. Had to have a service guy come out and it was the drain clip. He said that they freeze because the original design isnt long enough. Had to have it upgraded so it doesnt happen again. Im very unhappy that the design is bad and there wasnt a recall for this.

Their refrigerators are junk. The ice makers freeze up causing temperatures issues in both freezer and fridge. I have lost a lot of food because of it. The 10 year warranty they so proudly display on the outside is nonexistent. It is one year and even they don’t want to come out. You have to beg and beg for them to send someone. They also have a judgement against them for faulty refrigerators due to ice makers. They are beautiful on the outside but they suck mechanically.

Bought Samsung french door fridge August 2014. Have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. Repairman has been out numerous times. The last time Sears sent one, he said my ice maker was working as it was suppose to! I am going to call them again and have them come out. It drops ice once every 4 or 5 hours, I dont think that is right. The ice container has never been full and I am the only one using ice and I am gone 9 hours a day! I still buy a bag of ice every 3 or 4 days to fill the ice maker. I am sorry I bought this appliance. Because they obviously are not going to do anything to fix it properly.

I have been happy with my Samsung until now. I have had my ref for 5 years. Every day or two, I noticed water standing near the bottom. I started blaming my poor dog. It wasnt the dog! Water is leaking out from under the bottom drawer (freezer). Ice is accumulating around the freezer door where the rubber meets the plastic. Cant figure out actually where water is coming from. After reading all of the comments on this board, this appears to be a problem others are experiencing. It sounds as if there is no help from Samsung. My ref is out of warranty. I guess Ill just keep mopping up water.

My refrigerator stopped working on 11-19-11. There was a lot of water on the floor and the refrigerator and freezer were both warm. I contacted Sears and was advised that someone would be out on 11-21-11 to repair. That did not happen. I called Sears again and a repair technician came out on 11-22-11. Said he replaced a filter and recharged with coolant. Told me should be cold in a couple of hours. At 4pm, it was still warm. I called Sears again. Repair technician came out on 11-23-11, told me there was a major leak in the cabin part of the refrigerator. He said they would order the part and it would be shipped directly to my home but of course that will not be until next week repair said they would be back on 12-1-11 to repair. I only had this refrigerator for six months. Its the day before Thanksgiving and I have no refrigerator. This is depressing.

The motherboard has been replaced once but it seems as if we are losing another one now. After wiping the top with a soft washcloth with mild soapy water, its throwing the breaker again. Im pretty careful when I clean it and have never had this issue with a stove before. Im so disappointed. My husband and I saved for a long time to be able to replace our old appliances but Id take them back if I could. Things are just not built to last anymore and no company seems to care enough to make decent products. I cant believe our government doesnt hold these companies to a higher standard. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

Searching the internet has shown that my problems are not unique to us. It is a problem others have had, and there is a lawsuit going on. How disgusted that makes us. I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products -some even older than mine. Samsung has had these issues for many years, in fact ConsumerAffairs published a report in 2009 which speaks to these issues, obviously still ongoing. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/samsung_settlement.html#It is unfortunate that Samsung has not improved the product, it is also unfortunate and regrettable that they wont apply the same level of service and attention to each case. Seeing so many others who have attained refunds (even posting pictures of the checks) while I am repeatedly told no is disheartening. We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!

I purchased a Samsung 4-door refrigerator because I thought I was stepping up the quality for a refrigerator. The unit worked well for the first 13 months, then the ice maker would suddenly stop producing ice for no reason. I waited a day or two and the ice maker started working again. A few months later, I notice water on the floor of my kitchen. I thought my children spilled something. Then my son notice water dripping into the basement ceiling under the refrigerator. I looked more closely and the refrigerator was dripping water. My plumber guided me on shutting off the water to the refrigerator to limit the water damage. A technician came out a week later and took many pictures and troubleshoot the problem. Upon removing the drawers I noticed what was causing yet a second problem and that was a sheet of ice had formed underneath the fourth drawer, turning that drawer into a virtual freezer regardless of what temperature setting.Samsung initially said they would reimburse for the purchase of the refrigerator. I thought that was a relief, for obviously I had a lemon and they knew it. Everything was quiet for four days and when I checked back again the reimbursement had been cancelled. I received NO call, email or anything. Then I insisted if they were to fix the problem they should resolve the freezing of food in the fourth drawer as well as the leaking refrigerator. Then the reimbursement was pushed through again. Then 3 days later, after I received no email. Everything was cancelled, the reimbursement and the repair. So I am a consumer and I typically have refrigerators to just hang out for years. The Samsung refrigerators have gimmicks that work for a minute and then fail and they are very expensive. I would not recommend Samsung refrigerators. Their phones and tablets yes; refrigerators NO! Stick with a manufacturer thats been producing refrigerators for longer than 20 years.

There is a sensor to defrost the fridge and send the water created down a drain for evaporation. This sensor fails to work causing water to pool inside either under the crisper drawers or the cool select pantry. If the water is not noticed, it will ultimately flow from the unit onto the floor. Sometimes this sensor will also cause freezing of the fan that keeps air circulating in the refrigerator. Personally, I had this problem repaired on 4/3/12 and today, 10/29/12, I have called Samsung to report that it is happening again. Their customer service stated that the repair is not covered, is out of warranty and they will not pay to replace/repair. I decided to do a little research via the web and after typing in various forms of the following question: water leaks in bottom of fridge, water under food drawer, water leaking from fridge, etc, I have come across over 2,000 inquiries to this question just from the Samsung website. When I visited other sites, i.e. AppliancePartsPros.com and ConsumerAffairs.com, I saw another 500 plus complaints. So how do we get Samsung to admit this is a defective part and correct the problem for all of us? I slipped on my tile floor because of the water and now have my ankle in a brace. Other folks have complained about flooring becoming damaged, food loss, all sorts of problems because of this defect. I cant afford to keep calling a serviceman out for the same problem and probably lots of others feel the same. Thank you for looking into this matter.

About a year and a half ago I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator (model RF197ACWP/XAA) and the trouble began within the first year. After 6 months of use, the refrigerator started experiencing ice buildup on the evaporator coil, water leaking into the vegetable bins and under them. Ive had multiple Samsung service appointments performed by NISI NJ Inc (an Authorized Service Center of Samsung Electronics). I work full time and I was forced to use my vacation days for the multiple service appointments as the service appointments were only available Mon through Fri 9 till 5pm. Not to mention hundreds of dollars of food thrown out constantly. This multi-hundred dollar unit accordingly is unusable after less than a couple of years. I do not expect a refrigerator to last forever. I do however expect it to last at least more than two years. I recently learned that the company has sold refrigerators since 2005 with multiple defects and thousands of people are experiencing similar issues. I assumed Samsung would stand behind its product. However, after extremely lengthy and unpleasant calls with customer service office, Samsung said it refuses to offer any help as the one year warranty has now expired. The issue began when the unit was still under warranty and the original issue has never been fixed. I find this response unacceptable. I had filled out a formal complaint on April 4th, 2015 and asked to speak to management but Samsung has not done anything.

During a heat wave mid January 2014 Victoria Australia this appliance decided to switch itself off. LED lighting on front panel showed no indication of this but the huge puddle on the floor sure did. All of the food in both refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown out. Repair people called, also call to Samsung who told me to try resetting the fridge, long story short. I followed their instructions to the letter, even cancelling the repairman.. What about all my food? Sent me forms, I sent back with photos of some of food on my tiled floor. On repeated phone calls was asked for receipts of food that was spoiled. Well slap me dead, please! Who keeps receipts on food, esp when frozen things could be 3 plus months ago.I was offered $100.00 compensation. I said that was not good enough. Do you know how expensive meat is? Anyway contacted consumer affairs here in Australia. They could do nothing except of advise to contact another govt organization and lodge a claim with them, VCAT, not to mention there is a cost involved with that. Three months on, no contact, no cheque and this last time I or my family will buy anything associated with Samsung.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the service provider will call me. Samsung tried calling and no luck left message. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. No one has showed up so I called Samsung back again to find out there is only one AUTHORIZED company in the area SA Display. So now I have escalated this because I cant get my ice maker fixed. By reading everyones reviews there is an obvious issue with this model number. So I am still waiting on someone from the escalation department to call me back on how they are going to service this ice maker issue. So not only have I waited 2 weeks to resolution I now have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. Customer service is horrible. NEVER again. Buy American, people!!! Never again with Samsung of anything!!!

After less than two years, the compressor fan on the refrigerator went out... at less than 2 years old! We took a chance in buying the Samsung and after this, I wont recommend them. Stick with the more notorious brand appliances - Kenmore, GE, etc. Ive never, ever had an issue with a refrigerator going out that wasnt at least 10 years old. Ridiculous! Were out $180 for parts and service plus a whole fridge full of food. Samsung appliances are crap! With all the complaints on here, youd think there would be a class-action started!

He said that I had to pay to have a certified rep to come out and if it was under warranty they would pay for that but not the visit. I dont have a rep within 20 miles and I live in Detroit. Home Depot said that they have the worst appliances. I have the stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. I wish that I would have done more research. RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. It is a beautiful and functional refrigerator but I am disgusted with Samsung. If make a mistake, admit it, fix it and people will respect you. Samsung responsibility is to reimburse everyone for the kit and the cost of installation.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator - French doors with freezer drawer on bottom model #RF217ACWP-XAA - in July 2012. What a MISTAKE! It was not even one year old, and the fridge wasnt cooling, the freezer was defrosting, over one inch of water was accumulating in both crisper drawers, and the ice maker stopped working. The fan built up with ice and would make a loud noise until it would freeze up solid. This is happening again for the FOURTH time since 2013! Three different repairmen have been here to fix the problems, and each one found low freon due to leakage. The last repairman who was here said the leaks are due to manufacturer defects, as there were faulty welds in the solder joints in the back of the sealed systems unit. Samsung has not been willing to replace the fridge or refund our purchase price. They refuse to acknowledge that they are selling defective merchandise to consumers. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product, and I advise others to do the same. If there is not a class action suit pending against Samsung, then there should be. Im fed up with their companys poor customer service and blatant disregard for consumers complaints!

As in many of the other reviews, I also experienced the dreaded SE error code on my range microwave (model 9197). I realize that its probably hit or miss as to what type of help you will get when you call Samsung’s customer service center; however, I was very lucky to get an articulate, responsive person who seemed to be well aware of this problem. He did offer me a one-time courtesy warranty extension which will pay for the repair of my unit. If it has to be replaced, I am ready to fight that battle next!

I had my Samsung French Door refrigerator for approx. 5 years and the same thing. First the handle came off on the freezer. The digital panel went out 3 times. Now it leaks water and does not cool or freeze. Its not under warranty anymore. I called a technician and they state it needs Freon but from what I understand this appliance is supposed to have a closed system. From this point, I refuse to buy anything else Samsung. I usually never write online reviews but I feel compelled to warn anyone I can about Samsung and the junk appliances it produces. Ive had numerous experiences with Samsung Refrigerators, Dishwashers, etc. For one thing....their refrigerators have a known design defect which causes the evaporator coils to build up ice on them. Usually after approximately one year (after the warranty runs out) you will start hearing loud clicking/grinding noises from your freezer. This is the fan hitting the ice building up around the coils. You will then be forced to defrost the piece of junk with a hair dryer or just shut it off for 24 hours to defrost it. Samsung has known about this for years, yet it continues to produce junk appliances and will not stand behind them.

SAMSUNG.... SAMSUNG.... Remember that name and do not buy a refrigerator from them... TWICE in the last week they made an offer to buy back our fridge. The second offer was $150 more than the first... gave me ticket numbers both time and the second time said a acceptance package was in the mail... Then out of the blue some little girl from their C/S office called tonight and reneged on the offer... said it had been denied and then could not let me talk to a Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead. She was all that was working tonight... Wish we had checked all the online reviews before we ever spent $2500 dollars on a fridge that has caused $8000 dollars worth of damage to my floors. Remember the name... SAMSUNG.

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

I cant say enough how horrible our experience has been with these products. Refrigerator doesnt get cold enough, ss finish is terrible, microwave fogs up on glass in door and told thats normal. Range has been a nightmare. Electric stove top is terrible, uneven heat, burns, no heat, burns, no heat. Info panel sometimes lights up half, meat probe does not work, oven door locks on its own. Called for repair. Replaced info panel. Now burners turn on by themselves to high heat! Had to pull stove out and unplug as it would not turn off. One side of panel gets burning hot. Too long of a list to go on.Customer service is a joke. On hold an average of 1 hour with a continual loop of telling you to get on website to schedule repair. Website is no help. Get on live chat, 45 minutes waiting for response. Nothing. Call back, one hour wait on hold. Finally to be told, someone will call me in 1 or 2 days. I cannot have their phone no. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYTHING. JUST HORRIBLE. Plan on taking days off of work to schedule and to have repaired. Appts are a joke. Someone will call in morning to tell you about when they may be there. HORRIBLE.

Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! Purchased this microwave from Lowe’s in 2013. Broke this weekend after catching on fire internally. White plastic / electrical smoke filled our house. Luckily no other damage. If we were not in the kitchen however, the story could have been different. Contacted Samsung directly to see if they could help with repairs, or a discount towards a new Samsung microwave. The answer: No, we only warrant our appliances for 1 year. Anything past 1 year is the consumer’s responsibility. So my warning to anyone looking to purchase a Samsung appliance.
