After a year went up on this fridge I have had to replace ice maker and other parts, and Samsung will not do anything about it. Will never buy a Samsung product again!!! My model number is rs261mdbp, now the rubber tube that water comes in to fill ice tray freezes solid and I have to thaw it out to bust ice block off. This picture is of tube after I got ice broke off. Need help to sue Samsung.

In April, we purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from City Furniture. This was a very special treat, as we had used free and 50.00 dishwasher all our married lives. We got a top of the line one, thinking this way, we would not have any repairs for year. How wrong we were. Within a week of having it, the dishwasher flashed a code, and quit. After calling Samsung for three weeks, City Furniture kindly replaced the unit. It ran fine..for a month. Then it quit. Multiple phone calls to Samsung, a month later... its fixed. Ran fine for 2 months. Since then, we have made many, many phone calls to Samsung. They have: Twice sent our repair request to the wrong servicemen. Escalated our call three times... No response... Who does not service this area. When they did finally get hold of the right serviceman he was beyond rude. But I guess if you are the only Samsung serviceman in the ares (he is), you can afford to piss off customers, because what else are they going to do? Then Samsung sent the wrong error code to the repairman. After a month, the part came in. Oh but wrong part, because he had the wrong code. Gave him right code. Still waiting. Months later. We have a $1000 dollar Samsung 8 month old dishwasher that has now been NOT working more often that it has worked. Another call to Samsung yesterday. Their response was well, we have to wait for the technician to file a report before we can do anything. You mean the technician who STILL HASNT COME??? Time for BBB. Do yourselves a favour. Dont buy Samsung.

The cooling function in the fridge section keeps failing, after two repairs while it was under warranty (which was extremely difficult to get, despite the fact that the fridge maintained 19 degree celsius even when programmed to cool to 1 degree), and multiple repairs after the warranty expired it still will randomly fail. I have done everything advised - I even bought a separate freezer unit because some people suggested the freezer was too full. I keep the fridge minimally packed, but still the fridge refuses to cool. Now it has begun resetting every time the door is open, and sometimes makes a loud grinding noise (we have disabled the ice maker multiple times to try and stop that). Do yourself a favor and do not buy this very expensive fridge. Its garbage.

Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake
Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from them twice. First refrigerator had issues with the ice maker the first year. Got that resolved.... maybe? We moved out of that house so who knows what the new owners had to deal with after we left. Bought another Samsung for the new house. Biggest mistake ever. Again, ice maker down in the first year. Had their awful Service Quick service out twice to get that fixed. Then the entire refrigerator dies a year later. Condenser just gives out. Its still under warranty so they try to fix it and fail miserably. Tech burns a whole in my floor while using a blow torch. That nonsense of trying to fix it went on for two weeks. Now they are supposed to fix the floor and bring out a new refrigerator. We are six weeks into this mess and still no refrigerator. Ive been lied to repeatedly about the process and how long it will take. Theyve put information in wrong, further delaying the process. Its completely ridiculous and they never do anything to expedite the service and make it right. Pandemic has been used an excuse multiple times which is total BS since they are essential and never closed and neither has the trucking company. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE.

We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.

Samsung counter refrigerator rf197acrs - After one year, our great looking Samsung refrigerator started to accumulate water and ice under crispers. We defrosted the refrigerator. It stopped for a while but ice started to accumulate at the back of refrigerator behind wall (you could see buildup through air pockets). In addition, the fan started to make noise and eventually the refrigerator shut down all together. As we were waiting for someone to help us, we called Samsung with little help as we did not purchase additional warranty. We called Lowes with little help; however they were sympathetic to our predicament. We finally had repairman out and he exchanged part at back of refrigerator wall but that also failed. He came out again and replaced the same part with a new one and here I am waiting for this one to break! This situation leaves one with a feeling of hopelessness!

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. At the beginning of September 2014 my wife noticed water collecting in the left hand produce drawer, so we called the local authorized Samsung repair company to fix our refrigerator. Here it is at the first of February, and 9 service technician visits later, more than $250.00 in food ruined plus the Initial cost of the service technicians and 14 calls to Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG and were told its defective and they said they were giving me back the full cost of the refrigerator only to be told a week later that they were only going to give me $916, which is less than the full price. Nobody from Samsung has called me back, nobody from Samsung has e-mailed me. So now Im turning it over to my attorney in principle alone.

Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.

Two years ago I bought a Samsung kitchen suite. Within the first few months my ice maker on the fridge went out and the dishwasher motherboard had to be replaced. We have had constant issues with the dishwasher. It does not stop running so we have to unplug it. Service is coming again and I have had enough. I want a new dishwasher that works properly. Did I happen to say that it is only two years old? Samsungs customer service is in India and they are no fun to deal with. When I asked them to replace it they said talk to the Best Buy WHERE I bought it from. Best Buy said to call Samsung for a replacement. NO ONE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BAD PRODUCT. There has been a class action suit filed against Samsung related to damages caused as a result of the poorly designed ice maker in side by side refrigerator/freezers and the resulting leaks. Repairs are now being made for free for some models made within specific dates. Our particular model is a part of the suit but not for the date on which ours was produced. However, the technician who came to make the repair stated that its the most common call he receives. Our ice maker leaks, the line freezes and the ice maker must constantly be reset. The ice maker must be totally replaced. No costs are covered so this is a $700.00 cost to us. This will be the last Samsung product that we purchase.

Do not EVER buy a Samsung appliance. I bought a refrigerator in April 2016. Within 5 months both ice makers quit working and a fan motor had to be replaced. 7 months later, the fan motor started making a loud noise again, so I bought the extended warranty. I called for service and was told that they would not come out for a loud noise (it was extremely loud). Finally, both ice makers quit working again and then the freezer quit working. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get someone to come fix it. Each time they tell me that someone will call within 24 hours to schedule a visit. Nobody ever does. The 2 companies that they assigned it to refused to do the work. Now they are telling me that they have nobody in the area to do the work.Today I spent an hour on the phone being transferred to wrong departments. Then they started me all over again and tried to assign the work to the same 2 companies that refused to do the service. Im extremely frustrated and will NEVER, EVER, buy another Samsung product. TN has a lemon law, and when this refrigerator goes out again (because I know that it will), I will fight the battle to get my $$ back.

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

They will not fix it until you buy an extended warranty for 288.00 plus tax (new dw, 100.00 more). The phone assistance was good but the bottom line is their appliances are designed to break. If you are expecting this oven to have two separate single ovens, you are terribly wrong. When we bake something in upper single oven the left side of the tray baked perfectly while the right side had raw dough. Of course we contacted to customer service and they promptly responded and send in a tech. The tech stated upper single oven will not bake unless you take the separator out and use whole thing upper and lower single ovens as whole one, despite the product sold and stated that it could be used as 2 single ovens. We called customer service again and after 4 complain tickets and 3 tech visits we learned that we paid 350 additional dollars for the good looks of lame product. This product CANNOT BE USED AS TWO SINGLE OVENS. You cannot use only upper single oven to bake. Last tech even stated on the ticket that, as customer we refused the repair after we lost 3 days of work to meet with theses hopeless people of Samsung techs. Not to mention they seriously check if the electrical power supply is good with voltage and amps on gas oven. They question my wife if she has a clue about the convection oven. Yah! Two different counties certified her as restaurant manager for fun and she ain’t been in restaurant industry in last 20 years. Also to the credit of Samsung they have great 1 year manufacturer’s warranty but unfortunately it starts from the date product manufactured. So if you purchase an oven & stove in Dec 2018 and that unit is manufactured Feb 2018, your one year manufacturer’s warranty expires on Feb 2019 so enjoy your 2 months worth of one year warranty. We have Samsung TV, Home Theater System, Refrigerator, 3 Samsung smart phones and this oven. I can proudly say this is the LAST product I purchased from Samsung. I dont want to see the word Samsung in my house anymore. Now if you are planning to purchase this duo oven I would suggest you to buy yourself a dutch oven and a ton of firewood, at least you can enjoy great outdoors with real fire and may have some good smores cooked evenly. That will be a lot more satisfying than losing tremendous time and effort try to explain people that their product is not doing what it supposed to while they were trying to achieve a different result with sending 3 techs to same issue. I am done with Samsung brand. Good luck to you.

I bought a microwave, dishwasher, and range in December 2011 and have had many problems with all three appliances. The range elements do not heat evenly. The dishwasher after 9 months of calls to Samsung, they finally refunded my money (pump issues). The microwave (model number SMH9187B) started flashing 5E code 1 month before the warranty was up. It took 6 months for them to replace the micro board and now the same problem. I called and was told they have had no complaints about the micro board being affected by moisture. I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove
I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didnt work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didnt cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locke
The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locker room, even when it was empty. It was installed by Home Depot. I re-routed the drain hose higher to keep water from the disposal from back-flowing into the dishwasher, which I assume has no back flow prevention valve, given the amount of water left in the sump after running. No change. Ive owned and installed many, many dishwashers and never had an odor problem, even when they were full of dirty dishes. We bought a second home home with brand new Samsung appliances. A Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. We have issues with every one of them! Poor design and poor engineering is consistent throughout the entire line. I wouldnt even recommend them to my worst enemy! The seller paid $500 for a transferable extended warranty. It took him 3 months of constantly calling Samsung and hours of arguing to finally get the warranty transferred! So, if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance, well, good luck.In addition to the constant horrible smell, the dish racks are very poorly laid out and waste a lot of space. Good luck trying to fit 12 place settings into this. It does a poor job of removing coffee stains from cups. The upper rack has only 2 height settings. On the higher one even small saucers hit the very useless top cutlery rack. On the lower setting you run the risk of the washer arm hitting any moderately tall dishes or pans, which causes food to stick to the dishes.I am speculating that the smell is caused by incomplete draining. There is filter that needs constant cleaning, but even keeping it clean doesnt prevent the smell. There is a sump under the filter where water pools, but that should be clean water? But many other dishwashers leave some water in the bottom and do not have this horrible smell. And, at this price point, the dishwasher should have a food grinder instead of a filter that needs constant cleaning! Again, poor design and engineering! The dishwasher is very quiet, and if you set it up within the confines of the poor design and engineering, it will usually get things fairly clean. But you can find many, many other dishwashers for much less money that will do a much better job every time, and smell fine even with a load of dirty dishes. Dont fall in love with the pretty face! Buy something that works!!!!

Our household consists of two adults. In August 2015, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher Model DW80J7550US for approximately $820 from the local Home Depot. It worked OK for six months, then would stop running toward the end of the cycle and display Error Code 3C: Pump Operation Check. At this point in the cycle, the water would stop draining out of the machine and just sit in the bottom of it. We restarted the machine at least 8 times, after resetting it by turning off the breaker, unplugging, etc. Nothing changed. We contacted Samsung, which sent a Samsung technician out to repair what was thought to be a defective pump. However, when the tech removed the machine from its installation site, the problem was a cracked frame in the front left corner (see attached photo), which put the whole door and sensors out of alignment, causing the error code. He wrote on the service form, Frame damaged. Not repairable. We observed this machine when it was delivered, and there was no damage to the frame. Nor was it damaged during installation. In searching, I believe, on this site, there was at least one other reviewer, who had this same problem. The materials and workmanship of this dishwasher frame are so poor and defective, that after six months of light/normal usage, the vibration of the machine causes the frame to crumble/crack. We contacted Home Depot to request that we be able to return it to the store where we bought it and get full credit to exchange for another dishwasher--non-Samsung. Home Depot says they are trying to get the technician to indicate that the damage was not caused by the consumer, but, rather, is due to faulty materials, so that Samsung will credit HD for the defective machine. The process, from what we can see, is moving very, very slowly. Like others, we were bit by falling for the name Samsung, assuming that the quality of the machine was high. So, after paying over $800 for a dishwasher that functioned only six months, due to poor manufacturing, we may be forced to buy another brand, from another dealer, if HD will not stand behind the quality of the products they sell. If HD does not take the Samsung back and allow us to exchange for a different brand, our confidence in ever purchasing anything again from HD will be totally gone. By the way, in the last year, with extensive remodeling of a new house, we have spent somewhere of $100K at HD. The least they could do, to keep us as a customer, would be to exchange the machine for us. Also, from what I have seen of the Samsung reviews, they should stop selling Samsung dishwashers completely.

Samsung Microwave SMH8165STE - Around the two-year mark, beeeeep, lights on, lights off, SE, beeeep… It never ends! I just Live Chatted with Samsung rep. She put my info into Executive Consumer Relations. What does that mean? Eh, I wont hold my breath to get anything accomplished - these reviews already prepared me. I really think there needs to be a class action lawsuit for this. Not because it is such a huge ticket item, but because Samsung needs to be slapped and told they cant get away with this. How do we do that? Im in if you guys are! As for this microwave, quite frankly, I really dont think I want this hazard in my house. Itd be cheaper for me to go buy a new one from a different company, not to mention I wont have to unplug it for fear a fire will start in the middle of the night while my family and I sleep because the possessed appliance decides to turn itself on for an imaginary baked potato.

Ive read the reviews on the Samsung refrigerators and Im a little shocked that they continue to sell a known defective appliance. I was brought to this site due to problems with freezing ice under the crisper and water in it. I cant believe that this company continued to sell faulty appliances with the full knowledge that they were no good.I believe I will look further into these problems with consumer affairs. To me, this was fraud. To sell something you know full well does not work properly, is nothing more than scamming the public. I will never own another Samsung product.

I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

The customer service is horrific. The people are rude and do not honor the warranty. The temperature numbers on our stove started disappearing within the first year of owning the stove. They said it was cosmetic and not covered under the warranty but how could that be since you need the numbers to know what temperature to cook at. Not only is this not cosmetic, it is dangerous as it can cause a fire. A claim has been filed with the Better Business Bureau.

We bought a french door Samsung Refrigerator, 3 years ago and it has proven to be a poor product. There has been ice build up in the Ice Cube maker to the point where we do not use it. That caused a lot of noise from the fan. There has also been ice build up in the back of the fridge. We defrosted the fridge and when it was plugged in the fridge unit will not go lower than 55C. Samsung have washed their hands of the product and for the 3rd time... We are forced to call in a repairman. In reading the various posts about this issue I do not understand how come they do not know what it is... (Planned obsolescence???). We are very disappointed in the product and will NOT buy a Samsung fridge again.

I bought a Samsung SMH9187ST Microwave OTR in Spring of 2010. 15 months later, the keypad totally died with only an SE on the display. I called Samsung and got a total runaround as its out of warranty. I have hardly even used this microwave! I talked to the manager at Lowes, where I purchased this, but he was unable to help much. What a crock! I called an appliance repair center to have this fixed on my own and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new microwave. This is consumer fraud and if anyone ever files a class action suit, please feel free to contact me!

Purchasing Fridge in winter season and building a supply of 2 full bins of ice. We had a warm spring weekend Sat & Sun. Sunday night I went to get some Ice, both bins completely empty. I thought wife turned it off. Nope still on, so I kept an eye on it and the dang thing dont make much Ice. Called Samsung, they said “Push power freeze button.” I asked, “How much more Ice will it produce?” They had no idea so I did not much improvement. Bought a used fridge with Ice maker for garage, makes 2 to 3x more. Now my drain for fridge freezes, water runs under bottom drawer ¼”, ice drawer wont open eventually water on floor now. I have to take apart, unfreeze drain, put back together. I have replaced defrost thermostat, had a repairman fix it 1x and Ive done it 3x and tired of it. Dont buy a Samsung.

We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... Probably better off to just purchase a new dishwasher, but what a waste of money this has been.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator and stove a year ago. The first time I went to use the self-clean feature on the stove the main component fried. It was Thanksgiving week and a time I really needed the oven. It took 2 weeks for a repairman to fix the problem. Two weeks ago we started having problems with the ice maker in the refrigerator. Slushy ice and at times, wed just get a handful of water. Upon research (I know, something I should have done before the purchase), I learned that it is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators/ice makers. People were told they had to empty the thing every 6 months or so, unplug it and let it defrost! Seriously?? In this day and age? The thing is supposed to be frost free. So upset with this purchase! I would avoid Samsung in the future if looking for appliances. They look good, but break down within a year of purchase.

Now, it just happened again. Unfortunately, the fridge is no longer under warranty. I now have to call for a repair and the rails alone will be upwards of $75 each. It is recommended that both rails are replaced at the same time, and the authorized Samsung repair center refused to tell me if I would be charged the Samsung list price of $75 for each rail, or if they had a higher price.

I asked if it was available in the zip code where I purchased the product and was again told it is not. I asked if it was available anywhere in the U.S. and was told that the only technician they had listed was in California. I bought my Samsung oven in June 2019. I self cleaned it a year later and everything seems to be working fine. I tried to self clean this year in September and all of a sudden it stopped in just about 20 minutes, then I tried to do it again and it stopped again. I tried it the next day but the same thing happen again. I got an error code that the fans are not cooling enough. I had to wait and still waiting this day for ABT to fix the problem. The biggest problem is not that, after I self cleaned this time I got a spot inside the oven that looks like a stain but its not. I tried to clean it but its getting bigger and bigger every time I touch it. By the way this happened after the self clean because I never had it before and it looks like as of the paint is starting to peel. The second problem that I have encountered with this range is that ever since I started using the middle burner, the paint started to peel around it as well. Just a reminder this is only 2 years old range.I called Samsung twice and they promised me that someone will come out to help me with the problem. They gave me one time complimentary warranty since the manufacturer warranty is only for 1 year. I also had to tell the customer service people that if there is nothing that they can do about it, dont waste my time and send someone here, and the guy told me, NO. They will be able to help you. A tech came out and looked at it and then he had to call his boss and show him what was happing to our oven and top of the stove, then guess what he tells me? I am sorry, but this is cosmetic and its not covered, and thats what I didnt want to hear. I was so frustrated, and pissed off. What a waste of my time.I called the customer service and the lady told me that she is sorry that this had happen to me and there is nothing anybody can do for me at this time. I have never in my life had such an experience, and had to write a bad review about any company. I used to think Samsung was good, not anymore. I dont recommend it for anyone to buy it. I wish I had done some research before buying.

My 92 year old mother replaced her subzero refrigerator after 33 years with a Samsung French door counter depth on 12/26/17. On 4/1/18 the refrigerator totally quit cooling. I contact Samsung warranty 4/2 and went through all the motions to reset factory settings and was told they would contact me the next day to be sure that it was operating correctly. It was at 77 degrees. I was then told that a service tech would contact us within 24-48 hours. According to the first tech that arrived on 4/4 the compressor was locked down and that he did not have the parts to repair and they would need to be ordered. I was told someone would be back in touch in 24-48 hours. The 2nd service tech that was sent 4/9 stated that it should be replaced or refunded and gave me a new ticket # and copy of the recommendation that he sent to Samsung. I began calling Samsung on 4/10 and was told they had the information and that it would be 3-5 days before a resolution was determined. I have been calling Samsung every other business day and each time was told they had to follow POLICY and PROCEDURES!!! I continuously reminded them that my mother was 92 and living out of an ice chest. They would apologize and I would say dont apologize if you are not doing anything to correct the problem. It then went to a different department to be approved and it became 5-7 days. It continued to go to different departments and the days would increase with each change. It became 7-11 days then 11-14 days. On Friday MAY 4, 2018 I sent pictures of the refrigerator with the power cord cut and the serial sticker removed along with banking information for a refund. The e-mail I received back was that we should receive funds in 7-14 days. I will not purchase anything else from Samsung. They are not customer friendly, the refrigerator was a piece of junk and their policy and procedures are totally ridiculous!! NO COMPASSION for anyone not even a 92 year old woman.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years ago. I didnt have terrible problems with it until now. However, the freezer & ice making were never totally acceptable. Now, the fan is making a very loud noise every time the fan comes on. The repairmen Ive spoken to universally say that Im lucky that the refrigerator has lasted this long. One said, he wouldnt take a free Samsung if it were offered to him. In order for him to repair the fan, I have to empty and turn off my unit for at least 36 hours otherwise he would be unable to remove the shroud around the fan. The Samsung microwave SMH8165ST was purchased approximately 2 years ago from Lowes. First the light kept coming on and off by itself for a day or two. We unplugged overnight, same thing. Then the SE code came on. We looked online and there were many, many complaints about the SE code and at the same age of microwave as ours. Some people suggested taking off the touch board, replugging everything and putting it back. For some it worked. We simply plugged and unplugged the wires inside, replaced. Now the microwave is completely dead. Customer service just gave me a number to buy a new keypad. No more Samsung for us.

My 2014 french door refrigerator, Model RF263BEAESR, began flooding below the pantry pan in the refrigerator section last spring. The first fix at our expense lasted about 2 weeks. Samsung agreed to pay for the 2nd fix, which has lasted for 3 months. Now it has the same problem again and they refuse to pay for the fix again. Their new policy is to only pay for repairs ONE time once an appliance is out of warranty, even if the repair is for the same problem that was obviously not fixed by previous repairs. Our repairmen told us that this model and others like it clearly suffer from a design defect, which Samsung refuses to admit is the case. Interestingly, turning off the icemaker prevents the periodic flooding. So our choices now are to pay every few months to have it fixed, to leave the icemaker off, or buy a new refrigerator. My Samsung refrigerator that I bought a year ago last December today started making a strange noise. The ice maker has had continual issues but today I came home to a flashing panel and what looked like the freezer defrosting. I tried to ascertain what the problem could be and noticed a loud whirring noise but couldnt determine anything out of the ordinary. The ice maker was functioning fine, for once, but the freezer seemed to be defrosting. I tried several times to depress the panel button, to engage the Power Freeze function, and while it seemed by the numeric display to be responding, there was no cooling happening in the freezer area. The noise continued on and off and oddly the upper refrigerator part didnt seem to be affected, so far. I called Samsung Support and asked for assistance and a service call. They came back to me saying it would be 2 business days from today which would then be Monday. Since now everything was defrosting and ruining in my freezer I asked if they couldnt expedite the service call. The CSR gave me the appliance repair company contact info and suggested I call first thing in the morning. I asked when he gave the number if it wasnt in another local because I recognized it as one far from my service area. He said not to be concerned about that. Well, when I looked up the information the company is located in Sarasota, FL and I live in the Mobile, AL area so I am concerned! This is ridiculous and absurd for a 1.5 yr old appliance that should have at least a 10 yr lifespan minimum. What is happening here? Ive bought several refrigerators but never one so expensive and certainly never one with so many issues. The CSR stated that if there was a manufacturing defect they would stand by the warranty and I certainly hope this is the case. This doesnt bode well after all of the complaint reviews Ive read about their refrigerator line. Wish me luck, it appears I may need it!

OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

Our 2-yr old RF197 has failed 4 times. At the first failure, at the one year point of ownership (the minute the warranty expired) and after a lot of time spent badgering Samsung, they agreed to pay for fixing the ice-backing up on the interior back, and stopping the water collecting on the fridge floor. But the repair didnt work. Again back to badgering Samsung - a terrible, terrible company. I hear there is a class action lawsuit; we plan to get in on that now. Also our atty. is pressing Samsung corporate starting today. Outrageous, because it has broken again! We paid $1300 for this junk in 2011! Recently, we arranged with them to receive a prorated refund to discard/return to them this lemon. They agreed. Yesterday, a new, very rude, sweet-voiced stumbling employee in the exec office, reading off a sheet that had nothing to do with this case said, Not approved even though we have sent the receipt properly and were told (and it is recorded on our ans. machine) that they were in the process of arranging the refund. Avoid this company! We plan - and please all of you do the same - to report to BBB and to our state Attorney General Dept of Consumer Affairs. This could be rampant fraud by Samsung and needs to be investigated. Tell everyone you know, to exert widespread political pressure. When in the store, tell others looking to buy to avoid Samsung. Check your state: many states require a better warranty than that granted by Samsungs warranty and you may have more rights than that limited Samsung warranty. Best of luck to everyone. What a racket. Our previous 2 refrigerators lasted 25 years with not one repair! We will post what we find out.

I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...

Within 4 months, Samsung Dishwasher was showing LE code and making weird loud noises. Several calls and 3 service visits later, the company said they cant take the unit out so they cant check or repair it. It is a shame that I get no response from a company like Samsung. I purchased a side by side Samsung refrigerator Aug 2013 and believe me it has been nothing but trouble. I will never purchase nothing with that name Samsung on it. This is already the third time I have had to get this refrigerator fix and now I am sitting here waiting on them to order parts again for this piece of junk. I have truly had it with this Samsung piece of a junk refrigerator model RS261MDRS/XAA.

We purchased a RF32FMQDBXW Refrigerator French 4 Door 2/15/14 brand new and registered it with Samsung, which we had a 1 year purchase warranty and advise them of who we bought it from new. And if they were not authorized, we didnt know it at the time with the vendor at purchase time or with Samsung when we gave them the registration information for the warranty. After 6 months of having it, the ice maker stop working. We called and had repair person come. Well the repair called my husband instead of coming and told him what the issue was and my husband fixed the issue and Samsung sent us the part. Well after receiving so, my extended warranty request from Samsung Protection Plus department, I finally accepted the partial payment terms for 4 payments on 12/9/14. On 3/5/15 we realized the 2 top boxes were not getting cool. Called the extended warranty and they had us call a authorized repair company to come out. The repair guy worked on it for about 1 hour and advises he would come back to see if the refrigerator temp would go down as it had been at 48, spoiling all things in the refrigerator. The repair came back around 3 and advises that he will have to call warranty because the refrigerator had to be replaced because it cant be repaired in USA and to allow 48 hours for the report to show since it was on a Friday, and was given a 700 which was to be a Urgent code #. We called to just make sure every had our information on 3/6/15.We received several calls, there we faxed and emailed receipts of purchase and was told to check back on Monday the 9th. My husband spoke to 7 different people and received 4 different ticket #s from 3/9 to 3/11. When 3 of the persons stated we would receive a refund and that someone would call back with details after verify proof of purchase 3 times. My husband called around 6 pm central time and spoke to another rep from Samsung who stated she didnt see a refund, she need to do another verification and that after reviewing the account, because we didnt buy it from a authorized dealer, they cant honor anything very RUDELY. We are without a Refrigerator and now you tell us this over a year or more, they have known who and where to purchase the refrigerator. Everything appliance in our home is Samsung, never again. I will be looking to inquire about starting a CLASS ACTION suit.

I purchased a brand new high end Samsung dishwasher thru Lowes. The top basket looked like it had been jammed into the bracket during the manufacturing process; the left side metal arm that the roller sat on was bent so it didnt fit onto the bracket and the other roller was broken. I called Samsung and they told me I had to purchase another roller even though I explained to them it was brand new. I had heard about their poor customer service thru a friend of mine that had purchased a refrigerator for her retired parents. It took Samsung over a month and a half to repair that brand new refrigerator (which in the meantime meant they had to rent a replacement at their expense). I own Samsung Smartphones, TVs, etc. but this will be the last large appliance I buy from Samsung. Terrible, terrible customer service over a couple dollar part!!!

I bought the whole package of Samsung products and over a few years little things start to break and letters have fallen off of the microwave, igniter is bad in the oven, ice maker freezes up, washer lining went bad and started leaking. Their product is crap and the customer service is trained not to help you, they tell you there’s no one in your area to fix it, that you need to find your own repair man. My question is why does Lowes and Home Depot and other retailers sell and support them and you don’t have a service center for them. I will not buy another Samsung product, and I suggest you research before spend 8000.00 dollars on junk.

We, like a couple of others, were going through a remodel and decided to upgrade our appliances. We bought the Samsung range, $2600, from Lowes when they had a special on this range. Expensive, to say the least, but it was beautiful. Because of construction delays we did not get the range and other appliances installed until several months later. We been using the range for about 6 months now and the oven just never seems to be right. The Tech has been out twice and says, Everything checks out? So, Thanksgiving come around and we do a Turkey, all timed out according to the oven temp and time for the 20 pound bird. 5 hours later and the temp wand said it was done. We took it to our Daughters house and began cutting -- nope, not done. It look done, but pink meat and really pink and red around the thigh joints. Closer to the breast the white meat was slightly pink as well.If you want to do cookies you have to settle for near burnt outer crust, making for hard cookies, if you want the centers to get done. The oven may test right but somewhere along the way, through the process of heating and cooling to maintain temp this oven is failing. Looking to get it replaced. We would even stay with Samsung if they would agree to a replacement of a different model. Im for going back to an Electric. That is a lot of money for a range that only half works. We had a cheap wall oven that worked great for all baking, did not know how well it worked until we bought this Samsung.

They offered me a store credit and went so far as to give me a number to fax my sales receipt to in order to facilitate said credit and later told me they dont even do store credits!!! Bought the dishwasher in 7/2017. Have had 3 repairs in 10 months and even when its working it does a terrible job and I want it removed and a refund. They absolutely refused despite repeated phone calls even up to someone at the office of the president who gave me the same line. NO REFUNDS, exchange only. No thank you. My review is the ** customer service I have received from Samsung. I purchase a refrigerator from Lowes and had it only about three months when the ice maker messed up. I filed a claim with Samsung and they were supposed to send the part to fix it. It has now been four months and I have gotten no part. And when I call, I get the run-around. I have emailed and get the run-around also. I regret buying it because its poor customer service and poor business. I will make complaints to as many places as possible. I had even bought the 5-year extended warranty, but I cant even get it taken care of under the first year so I dont know how thats all going to work. I will not buy another Samsung product. I just wish I would have known all this before I bought the fridge, washer and dryer from them.

The Samsung refrigerator is not cooling. The warranty was up on April 1, 2012. The icemaker went out first a couple years ago. Now, the fridge part stopped cooling and then it’s the freezer. I had an appliance man out and he said he hates Samsung, for they are the lowest next to the LQs. He checked out the parts and thought it was a sensor and then found out it was the motherboard. He didnt have a motherboard, so we decided to check around for another refrigerator. Meanwhile, he suggested we turn it off and let it defrost. He suggested using a leaf blower to help it defrost all the way. Also, he said it may kick off and run fine from now on, but who knows?

Over this past month, a horrible smell started emitting out of my 2-year-old Samsung French Door refrigerator. It smelled like a petrochemical --- nauseatingly sweet and very very susceptible to becoming airborne and stinking the whole house up. I emptied all the food out and it sat empty for a week and still stunk bad. Wiping it down did not help. The cooling functionality of both the fridge and the freezer parts was fine. I then turned it off for a week while I waited on Samsung to respond to my service call request. The phone call into Samsung did not go very well at all, with the service representative telling me emphatically that they do not have a 5-year warranty on this refrigerator, even though it is printed in Samsungs manual supplied with the unit. Only when I read the page off to her, did she relent and said that they did have a 5-year warranty, but only on key internal parts -- which I knew and had repeatedly told her. She did not want to schedule me for a diagnostic (which I would still have to pay the $89 basic fee no matter what), because Samsung does not warranty against odors. Though gritted teeth, I explained 5 times over that I was smelling a chemical smell of degraded plastic or Freon or some structural material... and we needed a service call to get to the root of the matter. When the Samsung technician arrived and took off the panel at the back inside wall of the refrigerator, where all the control mechanisms are, a black wad of goo tumbled out of the compartment. The technician stated that all of the mechanisms were working great. I pounced on the wad of goo that had bounced to the bottom of the fridge floor. Whats this stuff? He said it was a type of putty that goes around some of the controls to kind of cushion them. We glanced up at the coils and tubing in the innards of the controls, and I could see where the goo-putty had pulled away from a section leaving behind little remnants. I said to the technician, what if this happened.... What if the putty, once eroded away, slipped down to where it should not have been and reacted with an electrical heat-emitting part of the control panel, and the heat caused the goo to degrade and become airborne. He thought that intriguing, especially since everything else worked. The goo smelled bad like the odor... but then again, so had every container of food I had thrown away, the odor was so pervasive. The goo is in a ziploc now, and 3 days after technician, the smell has decreased significantly to just a linger. I am going to wipe it down again and put in baking soda. I think we got this. For clarity, the putty goo was a misshapen lump of coal-black squishy stuff about the size and consistency of a big chewed-up wad of Hubba Bubba bubblegum (dating myself here).

I bought a Samsung Range under a year ago and have been having problems with it ever since. When using the oven, it heats my cabinets, knobs, walls, over the range microwave, and exterior portions of the range to over 160 degrees. When using the oven the stove knobs are too hot to even turn on the stove top. We called Samsung and they immediate sent out a service technician. The tech said the area was getting extremely warm but the range was working properly. We again called Samsung because we are unable to use this unsafe product in our home and they were very rude and not concerned about our safety, but agreed to send another tech out. Second tech, said it was getting warm and that’s how ovens work and left. I know for a fact that this is NOT how ovens work. My cabinets and over the range microwave are nearly too hot to open when the oven is on. My neighbor has the exact same range and hers is not operating this way, so I know there is an issue with mine. We are not able to use this oven at this point due to safety issues as my husband has already received burns. Samsung is not willing to resolve this issue and that is unacceptable, especially because it is still under warranty.

Model smh9187w - It was purchased on 5/28/2010. Two months later the plastic spindle for the turntable broke. Samsung misunderstood my request and sent 2 different parts. One of them was the correct one and I replaced it. After 13 months, the display showed code SE. I unplugged it for 5 minutes as recommended by Samsung. Nothing! I looked for the part, which cost $76, but did not purchase. I re-assembled the microwave and it worked again, obviously taking it apart and putting it back together to reset the unit. I have now removed the control box about 10 times. One night, it again went into code SE which makes the unit beep incessantly. My wife had to get up to fiddle with the panel and eventually unplug the unit to make it stop beeping. She was mad. The following night she made me unplug the microwave before going to bed to insure that she was not going to be woken up. Eighteen months later, the motor gearing that turns the turntables spindle got loose. I glued it back on. Today it showed a different code: child lock on, child lock off. I looked in the manual for the unlock code. Press and hold the start button for 3 seconds. Dumb! This is the most used button and the first one to fail. I removed the control panel again and attempted to remove the membrane switches. They are glued into the panel and are not replaceable or available from the parts department. I have to purchase the whole faceplate for the above mentioned cost of $76. Of course, I have no assurances that the defective part has been redesigned, so I am not going to spend additional money purchasing a new defective panel. What else is going to break in this horrible microwave? The variety of the failures confirmed my suspicions of horrible design and built, probably rushed to the market to make more money. The saddest part of all this is that I replaced my 18-year old microwave simply because the front plastic case parts had broken or become to worn out to look clean. I should have kept it and never purchased this Samsung. I will never buy any Samsung products ever again. I wish I could get my money back to purchase a decent microwave.

RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. My new dishwasher does not dry dishes. Funny, the sales person never mentioned this. Do not expect any customer service from the Appliance Factory/Brand Source. They do not return calls and they do not stand behind the products they sell. There were hidden charges upon delivery, which is not free. I can only hope that other consumers do not make my mistake in going with this small guy store. I will stick to the big box stores from now on since they at least offer responsive customer service. The appliances were not cheaper at Brand Source and they lied about actual delivery charges. If you’re satisfied with only having your dishwasher wash your dishes and do not mind drying them yourself, then this WaterWall Samsung Dishwasher is for you. Bought a Samsung electric range (NE595R0ABSR) a little over 3 yrs ago and last week the circuit board caught on fire. Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in September of 2009. Since then, I have found puddles of water below the vegetable drawer large enough to soak up with a large bath towel. The temperature sensor went 6 months later so it became warm inside the fridge, and my food rotted. The defrost sensor also went at the same time so a huge chunk of ice formed on the back panel clogging everything. I had to pay $298 out of my own pocket to fix these issues on a new fridge and guess what, it still leaks water all over my beautiful hardwood floors! The worst part is the customer service at Samsung. I was on hold endless times forever. I was promised a call back from a supervisor within 48 hours which never happened. When I called back after 3 days and demanded to speak with a supervisor, after reporting Samsung to the BBB, I was told that I can continue to fix the refrigerator at my own expense because it is out of warranty! Yesterday I called again and they said I would be getting a call from their executive customer service center within the hour with a correct number. I never heard from them. Samsung has lied and lied to me and given me the runaround. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

My fridge looks great, is relatively easy to clean, has lots of space and only a few less-than-perfect attributes: you must NOT pack stuff around the air-flow at the back of the fridge; the gasket is NOT tough enough (already cracked after 3 yrs); the plastic cover for the deli-drawer cracked! Overall, I would buy the unit again despite the 3 deficiencies detailed above. It cools well, looks great, and has lots of room.

Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!
