Product Reviews:

We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and are not happy with it.
We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and are not happy with it. One day, when it was quite new the freezer just stopped working and everything defrosted. Then we had a problem where the water dispenser would not shut off and we had a flood until I could get to the water shut off valve. Now the problem is water dripping from the ice maker. I researched this problem and it is a known problem with Samsung French door refrigerators. Wish I had known before I bought it!!! Supposedly has to do with the auger case. Will never buy another Samsung product.

I got the dreaded SE after only 5 years of use. I went on YouTube and watched a fix which I did and it worked fine for a couple more months...then the SE came back and repeated the fix today. After being out all day, I came home to find it turning the oven the stove light from hi to low to off by itself. I am very disappointed in this product. I had an earlier, smaller countertop, one that lasted over 10 years! I will not invest in another Samsung kitchen product.

On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

Samsung refrigerator model #RF263BEAEWW. It has now been 3 1/2 years since I have owned this refrigerator and the door continues to rust. I placed a call to Samsung one year ago and was told that it is merely cosmetic and therefore isnt covered. I believe it is some sort of manufacturing defect! Its a shame to spend $1,800 on a refrigerator that is rusting. I have had to baby the machine and make sure it never gets wet around the ice maker and etc. to keep it from really getting bad. By the way, my refrigerator is white and not stainless like some of the others that are rusting. I also own a Samsung front load washer and within the first year of owning it, I had to have it serviced twice. They finally had to replace a pretty expensive part. Never again Samsung!! Dont waste your money people!!!

I was cooking supper one night when I heard a loud bang and then loud arching sound. I ran to the kitchen to see a flame in the oven and my house filled with smoke - set the smoke detector off. Luckily it blew the breaker so the house did not catch on fire. When it cooled down we looked in the oven and found a hole had been blown right through in the bottom. Looked like it blew upward from the warming drawer. Samsung reaction - we will fix it but nothing else. It cannot be fixed. They do not stand behind their products at all.

I have a Samsung Refrigerator side by side unit that I purchased from Lowes along with a four year extended service warranty. The Refrigerator unit stopped cooling the first week of August 2014. Via the Appliance Repair company sent by Lowes took a week to come and then had to order parts. The parts ordered from Samsung took two weeks to deliver and were the wrong parts. Today, a month later, the second set of parts ordered were also wrong and I was told that Samsung shipped the wrong parts once again. Samsung cant be contacted nor expedite the parts. The service provider indicated that Samsung has a poor parts department and is not responsive to the consumers need to quickly obtain parts to repair its products. The part needed is now on order once again and I am not optimistic that Samsung is capable of delivering the proper part for its product. I was told that Samsung has many victims experiencing this same issue and simply doesnt care about the consumer.

First the handle fell off and CS sent another, then the other handle fell off. Then the water dispenser developed a leak and flooded the interior. Then it peed on the floor over and over so I cannot use the water function. Then the bottom grill popped off and wont go back on. Now the freezer is on the blink. Cold foods stay cold is the only positive thing I have to say. Never again.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Most appliance repair companies refuse to repair Samsung Refrigerator, what a SHOCK! I had no idea. I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator which was priced over $3,000 in 2013 on sale. After just a few months, we walked in the kitchen and saw a puddle of water on the floor. We had a warranty, so this wasnt a big deal. It happened again before the warranty expired. During the last visit, the repairman said it is not a big deal just remove the bottom drawer and remove that layer of ice and that takes care of the problem. The next time our warranty had expired so I did not consider the long term ramifications which hits us now that the bottom freezer drawer has stop freezing completely. This is a very costly repair. I am furious because this is a well known issue with Samsung. I really want my money back because this has been a constant problem.

Bought unit (Samsung over the range microwave model SMH1622B) in Dec. 2014. Lately when I put something into it, as soon as I close the door, the light inside it comes on and the turntable starts spinning. It does not stop if I press the stop/clear button. The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.

So I purchase 2 Samsung smooth top convection ovens July 27th 2017 for a small in home commercial kitchen. The use of these ovens would not exceed what any normal home would do in a year as my business is somewhat seasonal and a very small operation. In June of 2019 I noticed one of them not holding its temperature. It would be set at 350 and would actually be 405, or 215. I had a repair tech come out and after trying else we replaced the main brain. This sadly did not fix the issue. Then in August the other oven started doing the same thing. After exhausting every fix the repair technician said that there is nothing else to replace so maybe call Samsung and ask them to do something. After three months of being told they will get back to me with a resolution not once did they contact me back, as promised, until I got cross with them and demanded some kind of answer. Well there out is my little operation! I was told that even one week of use in a commercial setting voids all warranty and that I would have to just get them fixed. HOW!!!! The Samsung repair technician has already tried replacing everything. Never buy Samsung appliances. Just sayin.

I bought the whole package of Samsung products and over a few years little things start to break and letters have fallen off of the microwave, igniter is bad in the oven, ice maker freezes up, washer lining went bad and started leaking. Their product is crap and the customer service is trained not to help you, they tell you there’s no one in your area to fix it, that you need to find your own repair man. My question is why does Lowes and Home Depot and other retailers sell and support them and you don’t have a service center for them. I will not buy another Samsung product, and I suggest you research before spend 8000.00 dollars on junk.

I purchased it new 12/08, Model RB215LABP, from Lowes. We had problems with the unit maintaining temperature in both the refrigerator & freezer. It was apparently stemming from power surges. I cant remember the first time I contacted Samsung, but I was told to unplug the unit and wait 5 minutes. This happened on several occasions, with food spoilage occurring in several of the instances. On 11/23/2011, a power surge blew out a relay switch which cost $272 to replace. On April 26, 2012 a power surge knocked out the unit again. I contacted Samsung and I was referred to the Executive Complaint Dept. I have not returned their calls (2) yet. I want to consult with the law firm handling the class action lawsuit first.

My Samsung range is perfect. Easy to use & clean. If Samsung made vehicles we would probably have one of those too. I like that it has a convection for baking & roasting. I like the self cleaning oven. The only thing I would change is the oven light shutting off every time I open it to check on whats cooking. I could look through the door, but not only am I old, Im old fashioned and prefer opening the door to see if whats cooking is done. Plus sometimes a toothpick, or knife test must be done to check to see if the food is done.

Samsung SMH9187ST - After about one and one half years of use, our OTR started beeping and having the SE error show up on the screen. Nothing works except the light inside the oven. We have tried unplugging it, etc and nothing has helped. It hasnt worked since the SE error has shown up and we paid good money for a product, and expected it to work longer than this. After doing some research, we found that many other people have had the same issue but this model has still not been recalled by Samsung, which is disappointing. This OTR is obviously garbage.

I have a Samsung oven Model ne9k3310ss with so called self cleaning steam option. It Sucks. I am 64 years old havent had to scrub an oven with SOS pads for years. Cooked a turkey. Will not come clean. Purchased this stove Sept 2016 from Lowes. It was 2 days before my daughters wedding and my previous ovens element burnt up. So no reviews were checked before we bought this one. Lowes sales rep told us good reviews it was in stock could be delivered the next day. Perfect. Used it for the wedding, except for the oven.Stove really wasnt used for the first 30 days so was past the customer satisfaction period. Oven would not hold temp, tech was here 3 times, replaced parts. Wanted so bad to just return it but no. I hate this stove and I have had many stoves over the years. The glass top is almost impossible to keep clean. Bought the daily cleaner, waste of money, need to use the heavy duty cleaner to clean it. Would not recommend this stove. I will be getting rid of it.

We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper
We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper drawers. In the past month we have had 5 technicians come out all say the same thing, the drain line gets clogged and frozen causing water to overflow into and below the crisper drawers. The fix according to Samsung was replacing the back panel of the fridge, the evaporator panel I believe. We replaced that, in less than two weeks, we had water back in the drawers. Luckily we bought the extended warranty through Lowes but had spoken to a representative at the store that suggest we call Samsung directly. I tried that tonight, after two hours on the phone, I was asked what I expected them to do. Our unit was out of warranty (its three years old), and according to them this is not a known problem whatsoever. In fact, they even told me that there was NO record of this being reported to them at all. Even after explaining to them that I had found multiple reports of the same issue, and even on their own website have found consumers asking why they are having this exact problem was still told there was nothing they could do but CHARGE me for a service call to come and take a look at the unit. After this experience, I will no longer be purchasing any Samsung Appliances and will strongly influence any family and friends from doing so as well. Their customer service is not up to par and it’s apparent that they don’t really stand behind their product or the consumer that purchases their product! The Model Number that I have purchased is RF217ACRS which is now listed as a support product on the Samsung website which I am assuming means they are no longer selling this particular product! Buyer Beware when purchasing a Samsung Refrigerator!!!

Purchased my Samsung French door fridge from Lowes in June 2014. Immediately noticed that ice comes out very slow. After a year the ice stopped coming out at all. Could not figure out how to get the ice maker opened up so called Samsung. They told me to change out the water filter ($60) and that would fix it. I assured him the one year old water filter was not the problem but he guaranteed me it would fix the problem. Of course it did not. Because you know you are going to be on hold with them forever I waited several months to call again. Now the door flap on the left side door has had a spring broken and does not close properly. Called again they finally agreed to send someone out to look at it. Need a new door flap ($80) and when I described the ice problem the tech says oh yeah, I have fixed lots of those. Samsung knows about the problem. It costs $200 in parts. What?? I called to argue that they should pay for the parts. Getting the runaround and not getting anywhere. Worst $2000 ever spent! Never again will I buy a Samsung product.

So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.

We bought a french door Samsung Refrigerator, 3 years ago and it has proven to be a poor product. There has been ice build up in the Ice Cube maker to the point where we do not use it. That caused a lot of noise from the fan. There has also been ice build up in the back of the fridge. We defrosted the fridge and when it was plugged in the fridge unit will not go lower than 55C. Samsung have washed their hands of the product and for the 3rd time... We are forced to call in a repairman. I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

Bought Samsung range, refrigerator and microwave at the beginning of 2013. The microwave died after 2 days and the Lowes representative let us return it. He said he had seen a lot of problems, so we got a GE instead. The touch pad on the range never worked properly and have had techs out here 6 times. They can never fix it in one call. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. No weekend appointments available. The handle on the refrigerator broke off and they repaired that. Now the plastic shelves are breaking. These products are very cheaply made. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

1st problem: The refrigerator froze in the back and stopped cooling altogether. WE do not have a water attachment to it, thank goodness, because that would probably be even more of a nightmare. 2nd problem: Water leaks right below the vegetable tray. Where the water comes from is unknown. Getting it fixed has been impossible. Samsung does not stand by its products. WE bought this at Home Depot, which offers no support whatsoever. Ive filed a complaint with Home Depot, but no satisfaction. I am sure I will no longer buy anything other than nails and electrical tape at Home Depot from this point forward. Do NOT BUY Samsung. Purchased early 2010, in the first years had to call for service two times. So when close to time when 1 year warranty would be expiring, got a phone call wanting to know if I would like the extended warranty. Usually dont purchase, however with 2 problems early on figured I should. Purchased 2-yr. extended warranty and so glad I did because within that period had two problems per year. When that warranty period was getting close to expiring, I didnt get a phone call or email to get another extended warranty. So I called to purchase another. But guess what, our refrigerator wasnt eligible? Wouldt tell me or my husband why not? But pretty much figured it out that they knew we had a lemon and didnt want to offer us a warranty anymore. However, between my husband and myself calling and talking to multiple people, we finally got the right person and she authorized us purchasing a second extended warranty but of course this 2-year warranty was almost double than the previous 2-year warranty purchased. But it was so worth it because we have already had one service call during this period. Wish we would have qualified for a new fridge, but the problems werent the same within the time frame required to get a new one from Samsung. Moral of story - if you have a problem within 3 to 6 months of purchase, you are probably in for more issues. Keep good records. You might qualify for new one from Samsung. So to recap... Purchased in 2010 and have had 8 service calls, 2 extended warranties. Will not purchase another extended warranty and if it has an issue again after current extended warranty expires, we will most definitely chuck it.

We have had our refrigerator for about 3 years and had many problems with it. The defrost drain continually stops up and the water pools up in the crisper, the meat compartment and the bottom into the refrigerator. You have to unload the refrigerator and manually defrost it (takes 24 hours or more). This lasts for about 6 months and you have to do it again. The ice maker is noisy and continually drips water out of the dispenser. The ice maker also sweats inside which causes many problems. The doors are very hard to close and keep close. When you shut one door, it pushes the other door open. You must make sure you push both doors at the same time. Samsung was no help even though this is a widespread issue with their refrigerators. I purchased a Samsung OTC Microwave, model # ME18H704SFS in Sept. 2016 from Home Depot. On Nov. 13, 2017, the Magnetron gave up. Samsung repairman told me it would cost $280 on top of the $109.00 I paid for him to come out. It cost me $455.64 to have this microwave installed last year. Now this. I will NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG.I am so angry as to how a company can be allowed to sell such cheaply made appliances and cheat consumers out of their hard earned money. This just seems unfair. Samsung has to be aware of this problem and yet they continue to sell the units with the same problem. Of course, they are of no help when you call. This magnetron is clearly a problem based on the reviews I have now read. Wish I had read them before purchasing my unit. I would not have bought the WORTHLESS microwave. I had an old GE microwave that I used for 10 years before it gave up and I replaced it. Never had any problems with that microwave. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! My ice maker and water dispenser has not been working for 9 months. The repair technicians seem to not be able to repair and the refrigerator has just about been rebuilt with parts. Still isnt working. Repair technician came out today and ordered 6 more parts. Same ones that have been replaced. The warranty company denied replacement. They would rather pay all that money for parts for same issues. I am so frustrated to have a expensive refrigerator that doenst work and seems it cant be repaired.

Samsung fridge RF28JBEDSR. Do NOT buy this fridge. The ice-maker freezes up continuously over and over again. Samsung replaced ice machine maker once, worked for a while then same issue! Nothing more aggravating than having to fill ice trays after paying $3000 for a refrigerator/automatic ice-maker that does NOT work. Very angry.

Samsung RF-28hdedbsr - WOW! Thought I had done my due diligence before buying this refrigerator but unfortunately I never saw this site. Purchased this appliance for several thousands of dollars in May 2016 and worked fine until July 2017 when ice maker quit functioning properly. The problem is that when ice bucket was full the sensor quit telling the ice maker to stop filling the trays. It just kept filling and dumping ice until unit was so full that it froze up everything. Then like everyone else I had to use hairdryer to unthaw the ice maker compartment. This worked a couple of times but now ice maker has totally quit working. What a POS!Of course out of factory warranty and did not buy extended warranty as every GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire refrigerator I have ever purchased over the last 40 years havent had any problems. Big mistake. NEVER PURCHASE ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE again tv, fridge microwave etc. With so many complaints why hasnt some govt agency gotten involved or a class action lawsuit been filed to make Samsung recall or fix this problem as they are obviously selling a defective product.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago and what a piece of garbage. My previous dishwasher lasted 30 years and it was a Kenmore. I called a local repair company and they said they do not service Samsung as parts are very expensive and hard to get. I phoned Leons in Collingwood where I got this junk and they gave me a phone number in Owen Sound. The technician came and told us something leaked onto the motor and would cost $600.00 to fix. So we paid $200.00 for service call and this piece of junk will go to the scrap yard. And unfortunately I bought a Samsung refrigerator and hopefully it will last more than 2 years. But I will be purchasing a different product very shortly and it will not be a Samsung brand.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Sears 15 months ago. It was the French Door Model # RF31FMESBSR/AA, thinking it was top of the line since it cost $3,000. It is the worst refrigerator ever. The ice maker stopped working after 1 year. The plastic bins are all cracking from holding 1/2 gallon of milk & a few condiments. Samsung does NOTHING to help since the refrigerator starts falling apart just after 1 year. Ive had a GE Profile last 19 years and a Frigidaire last 10 years & still going strong. Samsung charges $160 plus $66 to ship plastic bins that should last more than 15 months. Overpaid to repair the ice maker $200 & now am paying $226 for the bins. The handle on the deli drawer is hanging & they want me to buy a whole new deli drawer. It is the worst customer service, the worst refrigerator, and extremely overpriced.

I would not recommend this refrigerator. The water dispenser leaked from day 1. I am constantly wiping the dispenser, refrigerator, and the floor. The water has stained the refrigerator. I am always stepping in a puddle. Now it is making a very loud noise and I think it has something to do with the ice maker. The long drawer in the refrigerator keeps coming off track. It is difficult to get back on track. Very annoying. The refrigerator is nice looking but definitely not worth the hassle.

We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. The end caps to the handles are plastic and fall off regularly. One on the shelves in the side door is cracking. I would expect more out of a company for the price that we paid for this inferior product.

2016 Samsung Black Stainless Steel Refrigerator - Let me be honest, I love the look and paid the extra money for it. What I dont like is listening to my fridge. Especially a repetitive extremely Loud POP noise throughout the night. Called Samsung, first they came and leveled the fridge - did not fix the problem! Called again then they sent a tech, showed me the fine print stating that the inner linings expand and contract during temperature changes creating this loud noise. My last fridge was half the price and didnt make any noise. This noise is not from the ice maker and not the ice dropping into the container that is reasonable and understandable. Let me put it in simple terms, If you were to take claw hammer and smack your hardwood floor with a good blow thats what it sounds like. What is really bad is you get to hear it throughout the day and worst in the middle of the night! You dont know if someone is breaking into your home or what. Very disturbing. We spent a lot of money for this. If I knew this model did this as nice as it looks I would have not bought it.To be fair to Samsung I own their Washer and dryer 3400.00 also a 1000.00 dishwasher and 1200.00 microwave and stove that we are very happy with. So now I have a great looking fridge that makes loud pop noises all day and all night about every hour. Its hard to believe this problem got through any quality control testing from Samsung before selling to the unknowing public. Its just not right and I hope this can be resolved. Help!

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.

Sorry, we guarantee our repairs for only 30 days. Thanks, Samsung. In December 2013, i.e., about 15 months ago we bought the RF323TEDBSR/AA 30 cu ft refrigerator because it had the size and features we wanted. It stopped working a week ago. Luckily, we have a 25-year old GE in the garage, still going strong. Repairman from Samsung came today. Oh, you have to order a $200 part. When you get the part, well come back and install it. Another $200 or more. Service stinks. Quality stinks.

Samsung has eye-catching features on their refrigerators HOWEVER as the saying goes Just because it glitters does not mean its gold! In other words JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS FANCY DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK LIKE IT SHOULD! I purchased a Samsung (Model#: RF28HFEDTBC - bottom freezer) four (4) years ago (9/2014) with a 3yr warranty. I paid over $1800 ON SALE! Now the ice is building up in the fridge ice maker and in the back unit. A technician from the Network Group technicians came out to check why my fridge was not cooling like it should. The tech told me that the ice maker has a replacement unit and this is why the fridge back panel has iced up. He said that the issue with the ice maker NOT working properly is causing the other issues. That sounds like a defective part to me! REFRIGERATORS LIFE EXPECTANCY IS MINIMUM 14yrs!He recommended that I keep the top ice maker off and only use the freezer ice maker or this will probably happen again. The technician also recommended that if I did not want to pay the $300.00 for the ice maker replacement, $150.00 for the back panel defrost/replacement of the fan, $80.00 for labor, that I could just pay the $80.00 for his 10-minute visit and unplug the fridge for minimum 3-5 days to allow it to defrost myself. I have been without a fridge for a week now trying to make sure the ice has fully defrosted. My cooler with bags of ice is keeping my food colder than that SAMSUNG! Maybe I should have got a mini fridge and an ice chest! Anything would have been better than this SAMSUNG refrigerator! I will NEVER buy a SAMSUNG product again.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator (no ice dispenser) a few years ago (It was built in 2011). We began to have problems with water/ice buildup under the cold storage tray since last Fall. We thought we must have spilled water in the refrigerator. It kept happening with increasing frequency. It became a weekly process to remove the cold storage tray and remove an inch of ice and water from the bottom of the refrigerator. It then became necessary to remove the water twice a week to prevent water from spilling out of the refrigerator all over the floor. Several members of my family started getting sick with what we thought was the stomach bug.We noticed that the refrigerator did not seem to be very cold although the temperature stated it was 34 degree until one night the temperature reading said 58 degrees! I called a repairman who told me the panel in the back was probably frozen and we would need to unplug the unit and wait at least 24 hours for the back panel to defrost. We began the process of throwing out food and found several moldy containers. We realized this was most likely the reason we were getting sick! We were being poisoned by our refrigerator! We immediately decided to throw it out and purchase another one! Having a refrigerator for only a few years and to have this happen, I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We paid top dollar for a Samsung dishwasher. I could not understand why it did not clean as well as my one that I got rid of that was over 15 years. It is old. I finally figured it out. You have to clean the dishes first before you put them in the dishwasher, new concept for a dishwasher. If you just scrape them off, in about a year you will have to replace the CASE Brake Assembly because particles get into it and you cant clean it out, as you once could in the older ones. The part is at least $80.00 not including labor. I have always heard you get what you paid for, not so with this, It is junk. Dont waste your money.

My gas range was purchased at a local hardware store and installed just 4 months ago. No extended warranty purchased so I had to deal directly with Samsung. After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.

On Feb.16, 2009, we purchased a 30 Samsung electric stove AND a 5 year warranty. Almost immediately, we knew we had a problem. We spent the entire 5 years of warranty, having repairmen from A & E Factory Service (Sears) come put bandaids on this very expensive stove ($1508 without the warranty cost). When the extended warranty ran out in February of 2014 the stove had all the same problems it had as a new stove. Since then, I always set the temperature too high (because it never reaches the temperature I set it at). I bought a good oven thermometer to put in the oven which I watch by shining a flashlight through the glass in the oven door, adjusting the temperature throughout the baking period. You see, I cant trust the oven to go to the temperature I need. The beeper that is supposed to tell you when the oven is hot enough to bake your food beeps when the oven is at least 100 degrees lower than I have set it for. This oven has ruined so many things I have tried to bake, including a ham that I served partly raw without realizing it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!! I seriously cringe when I see full page ads for Samsung appliances. I will NEVER buy another one. But think of all those poor people who WILL! And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I just moved into a new house late last year and it had a fairly new Samsung Over-the-Range Microwave Oven installed. This was working fine for the last few months until one day, it started giving us an SE error on the display and none of the other buttons would work. Initially, this would go off on its own but would then come back and until one day, it came back and just wouldnt go off. We browsed the internet and found that there was a whole sea of people that have reported this issue and turns out that it is a quite common problem. The microwave has just passed its warranty and Samsung now expects us to pay for the service and parts if they fix it. Considering this is a common problem faced by so many people, I think they should do a recall and get these fixed for everyone. The model I have is SMH9207ST. I would not recommend anyone buying these Over-the-Range microwaves from Samsung.

I have owned this item for over a year. This item will NOT dry your dishes. The drying cycle on the washer is extremely long and dishes are all wet when it finishes. All cups and glasses will have water in the recesses. You will end up drying everything as you take it out of this dishwasher. I am very disappointed with this purchase and could not recommend it. It is a big waste of money.

Oven not heating - I have a Samsung FER300SX stove and when we bake something and set it on 350 it heats up to about 225 and what is so bad about it I have had the elements checked the board checked the temp sensor checked and still will not heat up. I have calibrated it time and time again still same problem. I guess they think if we sell junk people will keep buying junk. My first and last Samsung. There should be some kind of lemon law. I know back in the 70s if you bought a car and if you took it back for the same repair more than 3 times you could make them buy it back by the lemon law. Someone please just give me a hint on how to repair this and make my day.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 2015 and have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. It seems there was a service bulletin issued in 2014 regarding my serial # and stated that all units will have this corrected before leaving manufacturing plant since they aware of it. I purchased mine in 2015 and sure enough my refrigerator was not repaired. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. But now my icemaker keeps stop making ice about every three months! In fact I am calling the extended warranty people here in a bit. DO NOT...DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG refrigerator...Samsung takes no responsibility whatsoever to make this right!

My Samsung refrigerator is just 1 year old and the technicians have visited almost every month due to one or the other problem. It started just over a month when I realized that any fruit or vegetable I kept outside the vegetable compartment had ice in it. Even the cooked vegetables if kept in the back of the shelf had ice in it. I kept on complaining this issue to Samsung Customer Service. Every time they will send a technician who will change the part and go. It was more of a pain as I couldnt use the fridge to full capacity. As instructed by technicians there were so many things which I shouldnt put in certain shelves or the size of boxes. I kept away leftovers or anything cooked/half cooked. I dont remember till date if I ever had to be so careful in using the refrigerator. I couldnt use half of the space in refrigerator fearing it will get spoiled. Not only that, my refrigerator stopped working completely 3 times in just a span of 1 year. Again they had to change the parts. I kept on calling them and asking them to change the refrigerator as it was giving me so many problems (not to forget just in 1 year- full warranty period) but they just turned deaf ear to my requests, even when I contacted their supervisor. Ill never ever recommend Samsung refrigerator to anyone after this experience. It looks like every time the warranty expires, Ill have to keep purchasing extended warranty and bear with the refrigerator. This Samsung product has been a big pain in the ass.

We redid our kitchen in August 2012 and purchased three Samsung products - a stove, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. This review is about the dishwasher. Ive already submitted a review about our stove. We purchased our Samsung dishwasher, Model #DMT 300RFS/XAA in August 2012 for $515. Our first repair was on 22 Jan 2014, the float level sensor had to be replaced, and the cost was $208.21.The next problem happened on 6 May 2015. The case sensor and brake have to be replaced and the cost will be $316.24. If we have this repair done, and we wont, this substandard appliance will have cost us $515 (original cost) + $524.45 (2 x repairs) = $1039.45. Note: the repairs alone total more than the cost of the dishwasher. Weve now got a 225 lb. paperweight in our kitchen.

Ice maker never worked properly (leaked, jammed, made inadequate ice when it did work). Since I had another refrigerator, I decided to take out the ice maker to make more room in the freezer. Did so (after great effort--badly designed drawers for removal). Refrigerator wouldnt work. Went on chat line. First time worked with someone for 25 minutes who obviously didnt have a clue about my particular model (kept referring to buttons that didnt exist) even though I had given her the correct model (french door unit)--then cut off. Tried again; passed to another tech. In both cases, I asked if the removal of the ice maker might have caused the problem. Was assured not. Went through every possible trouble-shooting efforts (most of which I had already done). Asked again: could it be that the removal of the icemaker was causing the problems? No, I was told, I would have to call a service rep. Before I did so, however, I reinstalled the icemaker. Refrigerator worked perfectly. Apart from the fact that English is clearly a second language, these folks dont have a clue about their own equipment.

So when you buy a Samsung product, break down how much you are going to spend into 12 months and then figure out if its worth it!! So far I have had a $350 microwave last one yr and one month. And now a $700 dishwasher last 1 yr n 3 months. And all Samsung will do is tell you its out of warranty!! I give them one yr and they have to change their name because everyone is catching on to the crap they are selling!

I have had the worst experience with my FIRST and LAST Samsung purchase. My fridge like many others has the issue of the drain tube freezing causing water to drain into your vegetable drawers and under the drawers. It took me a few months to determine this was actually the fridge causing this and not my kids with water bottles. The first agent I spoke to said well why did you wait so long to call, it’s not like this started yesterday. After explaining that I initially thought my kids were placing open water bottles and they were spilling, I was told that I was not covered under warranty as my unit was made in 2014 even though I didnt purchase it till 2015. The agent asked me for proof of purchase and even after I explained it was purchased from a lease to own I was assured that if I had not had the unit for 2 years I would be covered. I sent in my proof of purchase then was told it was not valid and they needed my lease agreement. I again was assured that once that was sent in that Executive Relations has given the go ahead to cover this issue at no cost. I sent in the lease agreement as requested to then be told that I was OOO since the unit was manufactured in 2014 even after I was told they would cover it. I have spoken to several advisors and not one has been able to locate the previous notes on what has been told to me. This has now been an ongoing back and forth for the last 3 weeks. This is a well-known issue on this model and it’s beyond disappointing that a company like Samsung does not rectify the issue when a customer calls in concerning this WELL KNOWN ISSUE. After 3 weeks of back and forth calling I now have to wait another 24-48 hours for the service company to call me and then I still dont know if I will be covered for this issue. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product just in the fact that they are not willing to make things right with a first time customer with a known issue. Customer service goes a long long way and unfortunately Samsung has proven Im replaceable and dont need me as a customer.

We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. At first I thought it was our hard water (we are on rural water) but then I read some other peoples comments and see its not only us that noticed it. We have also noticed that many dishes are stained with something and we cannot remove the stain no matter how we try! Another thing is that I do not think the person that designed (its a laugh to even think someone would really use the word designed) the racks to hold the dishes has ever washed a dish in their life! NOTHING FITS! Its a chore to try and find places to put the dishes to wash them. One last thing. As like most of you we have come to the same conclusion that we will never buy Samsung again! I am however a little different than most of you. I own a lot of rental properties, and I bet you can guess the type of dishwasher that will NEVER BE PUT IN MY HOUSE OR MY RENTAL PROPERTIES! EVER!

Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

I purchased Samsung 237 French door ref. The shelves are not spaced properly to accept milk or juice containers - the items must be tipped and forced into the shelf space. The shelves are made of an extremely brittle plastic and are subject to cracking. I have had to replace two-hinged shelves due to shattered plastic hinges even though they were never moved from the horizontal position. The crisper drawer is full width and can only be operated when both refrigerator doors are in full open position. I contacted manufacturer within warranty period and one-hinged shelf was replaced with the caveat that this was a one-time honor of the warranty and it would not be repeated. Now another shelf has multiple breaks in the plastic due to its brittleness, and we have a poor quality appliance that is out of warranty. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator unless you have a very high tolerance for aggravation.

Just reviewing to save people heartache and time. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. Amazing that they get away with manufacturing junk, basically. And they charge a lot for it. We’ve had our Samsung model RF28HMEDBSR/AA for 4 years. The ice makers freezes up constantly. The fans freeze. I’m forever using a hairdryer to fix the problem. Insane. The fans get full of ice and make a loud disruptive noise. Get the hairdryer again! Will probably cut out losses and buy a new refrigerator. This Samsung isn’t worth the headaches. Do not buy Samsung. My sister bought a similar model and has similar problems.

I purchased this dishwasher October of 2020. The first time I ran it, error code OC flashed and the dishwasher would not complete washing. A plumber came and checked the waterline/connections and Samsung came out and replaced the motherboard and the issue remains. It has now been 3 months and the problem has not been resolved. Samsung will not replace this because they have not actually seen the error code on the dishwasher. WHEN I moved into my home, there was a Samsung dishwasher, brand-new. This was almost 4 years ago. My hope by writing this is to educate consumers about my experience. It was non-stop issues from the first month. Over the years, I replaced the pump. I had a number of repairmen out, who each time took a look at the dishwasher and laughed. They all told me it was a hunk of junk and dont waste money on it. Over the 4 years I spent over $800 on repairs. Now, it broke again. I have replaced it with a Frigidaire. I am very easy on my appliances, I ran it about 3-4 times per week. I used the best detergents only. I scrape dishes thoroughly. My things last me many many years. This did not last me at all - as I was contacting repair people the entire 4 years. I fear I have other Samsung appliances that were here when I moved in. I have heard from too many in the appliance industry as to the track record of Samsung appliances. I wish to educate potential consumers as to my experience, the money incurred - the waste.I should also mention I contacted Samsung a few times. They could not care less. Besides not speaking English properly so communication was limited - truth is - they could not care less. The only good that could come out of this is I save other consumers fortunes of money. We all work very hard for it - and clearly others could not care less how they squander it for us. There is also no price that could be placed on the HOURS I invested in trying to salvage it. Please, buyer beware.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher in 2014 from Conns. It was the one with the bar that moves forwards and backwards. The first one started showing an error within 2 days. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. I wasnt warned by my salesperson, he was just wanting to make a sale. Next time, which I feel will be sooner rather than later I am going to get a different brand. Buyer, beware and do research! Pretty doesnt necessarily make it a great product!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

When I called Samsung support they said its a cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty. They said it could be caused by prolonged exposure to moisture (Ive had it for a month) or an abrasive cleaner was possibly used. There are so many of the reviews here with the exact issue I’ve had with the Samsung French Door refrigerator but I thought I would add my two cents just in case someone may still be considering buying one of these things! The ice maker has been a constant issue and I’ve had repair after repair called in on it. It completely freezes up and stops working, leaks water all over the place. It’s unbelievably annoying. I had the 4 year extended warranty with Lowe’s so I haven’t had to pay for these repairs but now I’ll have to be paying out of pocket for anything. Every couple weeks we have to defrost the ice maker. Lowe’s tells us now that they only consider a product a lemon if the same call is made 3xs in 30 days, well I could’ve met that criteria if I had felt like dealing with service calls over and over. However, had I known that I would have dealt with it. There is a class action lawsuit on this matter. Bottom line...run from Samsung.

We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!

Ive tried looking online for any recalls or class action cases, and for some reason Im not having much luck. It was purchased at Home Depot, but that may not make a difference. I am afraid I will have to again throw away lot of the foods and on-top pay the technician to get the Ice maker fixed and I am sure they will charge you expensive labor and part rate for it so they can make profit of this maintenance scheme.
