I built a new house a little over two years ago. Between the kitchen and laundry appliances, I spent around $6500. Before the one-year warranty was up, the ice maker in the fridge crapped out. I had to get Best Buy to replace the unit as the Samsung repair people didnt want to travel out to where Im located (only about 35 miles). Then after the warranties expired, the washer has an issue - not too bad - a wire fell off the motor. Cost me $159. Now the dishwasher pump burn up - $440 to fix this. Repair guy told me that the pods I have been using, the plastic shell pieces apparently do not melt and pieces collect in a screen that the water goes through that cools the pump. The screen is apparently fine than most units. Sound like a design flaw. After buying all these appliances and having three issues already, one would think the manufacturer would stand behind their products. Nope, no help at all. No more Samsung products for me.

I purchased the Samsung French Door RF26V Series Refrigerator at Lowes. Approximately 15 months afterwards the refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed back wall inside was frozen. I was forced to purchase a used refrigerator and put in my garage because it was unsafe to store food at 45 deg. Repairman told me to unplug it for 3 days and let it defrost or thaw out and try to restart, and if that doesnt work he will come look at it. Also the ice maker just keeps pushing ice out the top of the bin causing it to break the bin - $99 for replacement. I paid $2500.00 for this appliance and I am very disappointed with the Samsung product. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance nor will I recommend the product to friends or family. This is day 2 of defrost, I feel like Im in the olden days of having to defrost the refrigerator. I am a widow raising a teenager and cannot afford to buy a new one. Thank you.

Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made
Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made! I purchased the 'Samsung - 28.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Apps Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless steel -Model:RF28HMELBSR" 3 years ago and have never regretted it. The fridge is a powerhouse with cool features. The drink drawer is SO awesome! It keeps our soda and beer cool and out of the way! It has a mini-touchscreen that plays Pandora, shows our calendar, weather and news, plus has an app for drawing notes. The connection isn't always stable and the phone mirroring app never worked, but I don't care. It's really cool. Keeps the food fresh, the freezer is large and has a drawer for small items as well. The shelves are movable and it looks lovely. I totally recommend it!

I purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot on September 3 2017. It quit working on August 20, 2018. It still has the Samsung factory warranty. They sent a repair person to fix it on September 11, 2018. They had the wrong parts and could not get the right parts. Samsung agreed to replace the refrigerator on September 12, 2018. It is now October 5, 2018 and I still have no refrigerator. Samsung has the absolute worst customer service on the planet. I truly dont know how they stay in business. I asked for a refund so I can buy an American made refrigerator. Still no answer. Home Depot has done everything they can and are no further in the negotiation process with them than I am. Please do not buy any Samsung products of any kind.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator and a Samsung washer and dryer a year and eight months ago. I dont recommend anyone to buy anything that has the name Samsung on it. I had the refrigerator about a year and the memory board went out causing the icebox part to freeze and the freezer part to be the icebox. It cost me $500 to replace the memory board. Now eight months later, my washer has stopped working. It is a computer chip that has gone out which Im sure will not be cheap. I wouldnt recommend Samsung to anyone. They couldnt give me another Samsung product for free. I wouldnt bring it in my house. Buyers beware!

Model 9187, Samsung Microwave SE code - On 6/19/13, I found several complaints and videos of how to fix the SE code on-line. I dreaded a fight, but finally called Samsung on 6/11 and talked with Amanda who could not have been nicer. She acknowledged the issue, said theyd fix it, no charge (my micro was purchased 3/21/11 - no extended warranty) and told me someone from Quality Appliance in Houston would call. Audra from Quality called a couple of hours later, again, very pleasant and professional. They followed up, gave me an ETA and Michael came a little while ago and replaced the touch panel. Its all fine now. I really like my microwave and had missed it. The entire experience was most impressive. Gee, I love dealing with actual human beings rather than machines and even better, folks who speak English. Thanks, Samsung and Quality!

The Samsung fridge model RB2155SH freezer compartment changes temperature.
The Samsung fridge model RB2155SH freezer compartment changes temperature. I emailed Samsung and was told the fridge is no longer under warranty and I was on my own to get it repaired. I had a repair man fix it a couple of years ago for the same problem when it was still under warranty, but it didnt last. I went online to research the problem and found out the defrost sensor might be the problem. After removing the cover in the freezer that covers the coils, I found a lot of burnt areas and cracks in the freezer compartment. Also, the defrost sensor was also burnt. I replaced the sensor and also took pictures of the freezer compartment showing the burnt areas and areas where the compartment was bubbling up from heat. This fridge is a fire hazard. I can email pictures.

Samsung Refrigerator RF4298HARS - Love the look, functionality and space this refrigerator has to offer... EXCEPT the ice maker is so loud, when it drops it literally scares you. My husband and I have been startled out of sleep. We now turn the ice maker off before we go to bed. We have had friends over who have heard the ice maker and commented on how loud it is. This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.

Refrigerator started icing up in the back just after the first year was up. Got Samsung to pay for the parts but we had to pay for the service call. Now another year and a half later the same thing is happening and the service rep told us they have a fix for the first fix. We have to wait an entire week to get our refrigerator back to working order. The parts need to be ordered and it has to thaw out to get the back panel off. Called Samsung again and this time the manager of the woman I talked to said they will not cover the parts because the warranty had run out. I have a Maytag refrigerator that we use for beverages that has run for 24 years with no problems and dont know what I would do without it. No more Samsung for us. The Samsung replaced a GE refrigerator we had for 24 years with no problems.

They said they always try to fix, but never get fixed. Today is my 7th time to call them to fix the same problem. They still refused to exchange me a new one since they never be able to fix. Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

We struggled with a Samsung RF263 for 3 years. Finally it shut off with NO WARNING; was 50 degrees when I realized it. THIS is a major food safety issue, especially with elders who may not pay attention and have repeated bouts of diarrhea because of spoiled food! I reported this as a safety issue to CPSC. Within 48 hours I was contacted by Samsung to schedule a COURTESY tech visit - this after they repeatedly claimed the behavior was normal. He moved the sensor! Two years later I can say I am very happy with the damned thing. Had two Samsung Microwaves let the smoke out with a year of purchase. Lowes replaced first, I threw out the second. Turns out the power transformer uses copper clad wire rather then solid. Bought a GE and NO issues. Then there was the LED TV fiasco. Kept turning off after three years. Almost threw it out until I discovered the class action settlement where they had to to come to the home, replace the 15 cent electrolytic capacitors in the power supply with 50 cent capacitors. Turns out there was actually a business where savvy people bought up broken tvs and replaced the caps. Took the tech all of 15 minutes to do in my home. Samsung close engineers their products. I will NEVER buy another Samsung even though I expect this refrigerator to work for another 15 years. Want to get it fixed? File a food safety complaint with CPSC!!!

The teeth of the locking system didnt even look the same. When I called to have it serviced, Samsung came out. Technician explained that the filter system has changed since the make of my fridge. He changed out the whole system as he said it should have been done before the purchase. Now today, April 2017, the filter literally popped out of the system, cracking the plastic filter head off and water gushing all over my kitchen floor. We purchased a Samsung French Door Style Refrigerator from our local Lowes about 6 years ago. A few years after we had it, the produce drawers started to get water in them and then started freezing into sheets of ice. It ruined produce, etc and then we couldnt use either of the drawers. It cost us at that time $200 to have it fixed. The repairman told me then that this was a common problem with this refrigerator and it had to do with the design. Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. Samsung should stand behind these repairs if this a poor design or defective part in this refrigerator. The next time it happens I will give the refrigerator away and never buy a Samsung again nor will I ever recommend this product to anyone.

After I bought my Samsung fridge in 2014. I found out that my ice maker stopped working in 2015. Now its 2018 and again the ice maker has gone bad and now they are claiming it will be on me as the warranty is over. I cant believe they make this cheap parts and then they play the warranty game. I am afraid I will have to again throw away lot of the foods and on-top pay the technician to get the Ice maker fixed and I am sure they will charge you expensive labor and part rate for it so they can make profit of this maintenance scheme. Samsung should be punished for such action and banned from selling such items in the US.

The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. Wish I could go back in time and choose a fridge other than Samsung RS263TDRS. Weve owned fridge 4 years and has been a disappointment from day one. Slow water dispenser. Ice dispenser shoots across room. Biggest issue is defroster on fridge side. Several times a year we go through the headache of fridge making loud grinding sound, popping and then inside heating up and spoiling food. Samsung support centre acts like my issue is an isolated problem.First time I paid for a technician. He reported this to me as common issue, a manufacturing default and inserted a spacer between fan to add more air flow. He acknowledged this was only a bandaid solution and that I should be proactive and when I hear ice starting to build up on fan, to defrost fridge for two days. This has become a burdensome issue now and we defrost our fridge three to four times a year. After doing this our fridge resumes cooling efficiently but then a few months go by and ice and water build up below crisper. I will never buy another Samsung product and discourage other consumers from buying their product. Samsung is robbing consumers and their callous approach to Customer Service is unacceptable.

Bought a side by side refrigerator RS25J500DSR 17 days ago. After waiting the 24 hours for the ice to make, it was evident that there was a problem. The refrigerator only serves two people and one of them is gone most of the day. Its bin has only gotten filled more than a quarter of the way one time when we were out of town for 4 days. We only fill our glasses 1/4 way with ice in an effort not to be without ice entirely. Reported problem to Samsung and a tech called back. Had me to do the tests described in the video then he told me the ice maker was working fine and he was closing my file but would call me the next day to see if resetting it had helped. The next day, no call. Refrigerator was not bothered for 4 hrs. and the bin had approximately 30 pieces of ice. So the next day called Samsung again. Was again told they would send out a repairman. Today, was called by Tech. He stated that he was trained by the engineer and the ice maker in this refrigerator only makes 6 pieces of ice every 90 minutes - 2 hours. A total of 70 pieces of ice in a 24 hr. period. It is not designed to provide very much ice. I cant imagine that anyone would buy a refrigerator and not rely on it for daily ice. He also stated that the bin is not suppose to fill up more than 1/4 way full. Again they have refused to send anyone out because they know their ice maker is practically worthless. I wish I had seen these complaints before I bought it. I did look at the rating for this product and since it had a high rating I thought I would be pleased. However, this is the worst purchase I have made in 60 years. I dont ever plan to buy anything that is Samsung again.

I have a 9 year old two door fridge, which when working is a great design. I find it hard to get a repair person to resolve a long-term noise in the fan. I now resort to using my hair-dryer blowing into the vents and this seems to de-ice the fan and hence the noise abates for a few months. Also sometimes the water dispenser decides not to dispense water... ugh! I am frustrated but these items cost a bomb, so I havent replaced it yet.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

A little more than 2 years ago, I bought a Samsung refrigerator (Model RFG295ARRS) at Lowes. This refrigerator has been leaking from day one since. Due to the fact that my house and business were under construction, my appliances from Lowes were not delivered until 9 or 10 months later, and besides this situation, I was not able to occupy my house and business until the City of Lansing granted me permission to occupy. It took about another 3 or four months for me to do that. Due to the fact that my residence and business are in the same building, I ended paying about $2600 for my refrigerator (I do not recall very well, but I still have my receipt). When Samsung technicians came to my house on June 30th, 2012 and July 21, 2012, they told me that my refrigerator is not repairable. I am trying to get back my $328.94 that they charged me to repair it the first time (June 30th). This refrigerator came defective from the manufacturer, that is what one of the technicians told me the first time and he said that the manufacturer knows that but they had kept quiet due to a recall or that they have to recall all the refrigerators. At the same time, this technician told me that he was aware of the problem and that they had fixed before, but they did not do that with mine and that is why I want my money back. Because they lied to me. Samsung is bad, bad product, bad reputation. I will ask my children to put this in Facebook and everywhere so people are aware of this problem. Now I know there are hundreds of complaints.

Samsung Microwave SMH8165ST - 1 mo ago a potato caught fire on the baked potato setting. Samsung stated I was out of warranty because microwave was purchased 2 yrs ago. I refused an out of pocket service call. Samsung called back 1 wk later asked about any personal or property damage & asked if I would want someone to come out free of charge to repair or replace (if irreparable). After 3 repair visits (not counting the 4 appts that were cancelled/rescheduled after the 2 hr wait EACH TIME). Samsung stated the repair guy had to come out again to troubleshoot w/ a Samsung engineer on the phone. I explained that the repair guy did that @ the last appt, Samsung stated there was no record of it. I also stated that I was aware of the recall involving buttons on the panel sticking. They said I had to make another appt. I refused, spoke to another 2 managers & after 55 min on the phone was offered $130 voucher/check. I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. I am glad I do not have to deal w/ them & their incompetent repair outsourcing. I am also glad my children werent the ones using the microwave when the fire occurred. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Just disgusted.

The ice maker is a standard size and tends to produce ice adequately. HOWEVER, BE WARNED that Samsung ice makers are very poor quality. They tend to dispense crushed ice even when you dont want it. They definitely dispense broken bits of cubes constantly. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is well, thats just the way it is, too bad. Its a shame that a $3,000 refrigerator comes with such an inferior ice maker and even a bigger shame that Samsung thinks its okay to sell you a fridge that spits ice in your floor every time you use it. Their customer service department said that if they send a technician out to look at it they will bill me because they dont consider this a defect. Huh?? Be informed before you buy a Samsung product.

We purchased our freezer on the bottom refrigerator on April 2013. In November 2014, we noticed hairline cracks beginning in the door bins. By January, one bin lost its front and cracked almost the whole way across. Also, having cleaned it out after the New Year, we noticed cracks in two more bins. Now my call to customer service, Maam, do you consider this normal wear and tear? WHAT! 19 months old means cracked and broken shelving. Well we can send you to customer service. He thought it would be a good idea if I purchased the 3 bins from parts he will give me the number. NO I would not like to purchase new bins every 19 months. Samsung RS265TDBP broken 2 different ways in 2 years - On the surface, this is a great refrigerator. Its pretty, its very quiet, its energy efficient and the ice maker fits nicely in the door, giving you more useful space in the freezer.Unfortunately, despite the price tag, its of very inferior quality (and I’ve seen more of the insides of this fridge than I’ve ever wanted to). The ice maker broke just before the 2-year mark (about $80 to buy a new one and install it yourself, although stores have trouble keeping them in stock, they break so fast) and not long after I got that done, the fridge starts making ugly noises, and then gets warm, above 55 degrees (freezer is still ice cold). I took the refrigerator cooling unit apart and removed huge chunks of ice to get it going again. But the refrigerator seems to be permanently messed up now (common problem if you Google, Samsung refrigerator not staying cold) and it wont get below about 44 degrees in the fridge.Im abandoning this $1,200 piece of junk after barely 2 years of service and buying a refrigerator from a reputable brand. I cant see spending another dime on it because research (and personal experience) seems to show that if I pay to fix it, it will probably just break again down the line.

We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. We have only had the unit for 2 years and were STUCK with it!

Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

Samsung French Door refrigerator is junk. Model FR 28HFEDBSR/AA with ice and water through the door, as soon as the warranty expired, the ice maker stopped working. It would freeze up, stop making cubes. We replaced the expensive water filter every 3 months instead of 6, but melting ice/water would constantly drip from the water dispenser, creating a puddle outside the door. Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. He also came to look at dishwasher cause it was make a loud noise, also which it didnt do it in past! Repairman said the Motor is going out!! So it is on order!Stove on other hand, the back leg that holds unit leveled was bent and could not be fixed, got it replaced! On 2nd stove the front window has water leak condensation from cooking and there is no way to clean it!! On all the appliances I was told they were top of the line! Stainless steel, in which I cannot keep clean, there is like streaks on all of them and no matter what I use, very good cleaner still cant remove stains from them! We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

We purchased this refrigerator from Lowes in April 2013. In December 2013, we noticed that the ice cubes were smaller, and the water dispenser flow was much slower. I contacted the Samsung Help Center and was told to turn up the water pressure in my home, even though it was (properly) set at 60 pounds per square inch! I did turn it up to 90 pounds per square inch, and it seemed to be OK --not back to normal-- for a short while!Several months ago the ice cubes began to be much smaller, and the water flow reduced again. Ive tested the water supply to the unit, and it is just fine. I believe Samsung refrigerators have a basic engineering design flaw, one that Samsung will not admit nor own up to... Thus, my recommendation to NOT BUY a Samsung refrigerator! Coincidentally, we have a GE refrigerator purchased around the same time for our Florida house, and we have NEVER had a problem with it at all. Come on Samsung, own up to the problems with your design, and either FIX THEM, OR GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!

Do not ever buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and their dishwasher works about 50% of the time. We are a household of 4 who use the dishwasher (model # DW80F600UTS/AA) once a day and load it sparingly, correctly, and with little soap. We have had a service person here 4 times since we bought it 7 months ago with an added extended warranty and they say they cannot correct the problem which is that the soap dispenser fails to open sometimes and other times opens but does not dispense the soap and other times works fine. They put in a new pump but that did not solve it. We have contacted Best Buy where we bought it. They turn us over to the appliance service they contract with. The appliance service says they cant do anything more. They turn us over to Samsung who says run it with no dishes in it and if it fails to open and dispense soap call us. But, we say, the problem exists 50% of the time, not 100%. Since we are still under factory one year warranty before the extended warranty kicks in, Samsung will charge us if they come out and cant locate a problem. We have spent hours and hours and hours on this. Would any of them be content with an appliance that fails to perform half the time?! I would also say that I will not buy anything else from Best Buy because they do not stand behind what they sell as soon as you are out the door, extended warranty or not. $801 spent on something that doesnt work right and they wont fix or replace.

I have read of numerous people with the same issues on their Samsung refrigerators. There is a class action suit under way concerning these units. I will never buy another Samsung product after being treated in this manner.

The temperature inside the refrigerator stays between 40 and 45 degrees causing food to spoil. Samsung is a difficult company to deal with and they do not stand behind their products. For everyone who like me are Stupid enough to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, I have a hint to fix the ice maker. Go to local convenience store & buy ice to load in it. We redid our kitchen at the beginning of last year and installed a Samsung microwave, model ME18H704SFS. After 8 months, the overhead light started coming on by itself. Not the high, but the low. I am not the first homeowner to complain about this very problem. It would seem this microwave has well-known issues and Samsung has not recalled the product. I guess Samsung can stand to have poor public relations. I will never purchase another Samsung product. Glenn **Belmont MA

We have had our refrigerator (bottom-freezer) less than a year. Weve had Samsung out 3 times to check out the random very loud noise that it makes. The resulting opinion is that the noise is normal. I am having to endure it as I type this and would encourage anyone to NOT BUY a Samsung appliance. Another thing is the space inside. The shelves are not spaced to hold American-sized food/drink containers, so we have to store them on their sides. From what Ive read, they make fine electronics - TVs, etc. Just dont buy their appliances.

This machine very quietly does nothing. It does not clean dishes. The 18 year old antique worked. This does not. Glasses are actually dirtier with food residue, as though it never empties the dirty water! What is worse it takes 1.5 to 2 or more hours to do nothing! We are going to ask Home Depot to take it back. As a modern appliance this is a disaster.

Purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA french door fridge. 09/21/12 started having issues with the refrigerator. Coils freezing causing the twin cooling fans to hit the ice and make loud noises. It woke me up and was so loud I thought someone was breaking into my house. Of course it was just after the warranty expired and I paid them approx $150 to come out replace a Defrost Sensor, Evaporator Cover, and Drain Kit. The service guy called Samsung and strongly said they should pay for the parts (I felt he knew there are ongoing issues with their fridges and felt bad for me) and they did (parts are cheap). The other issue was the ice maker. The unit is not sealed properly causing warm air from the fridge to enter the ice maker and it freezes up eventually ice cant dump in tray because of the ice build up.They are now making the ice maker sealed up tight because my neighbor has a newer model which 1 year old and I took a peek, no ice build up. They used silicone seal yet one year later same problem so it must be coming in from rear and cant be fixed. I have been removing the ice box and taking a blow dryer once every 2 weeks to melt it. So, I called Samsung 04/07/17 and was trying to get parts to fix the twin cooling fan ice issues after watching YouTube videos and they couldnt give me part #s. Referred me to www.samsungparts.com which is not their company but is approved to sell parts. I told Samsung, I had just got off the phone with them and they gave me your # which is technical support (1.855.726.8721) now youre sending me back to them?I then told her my cooling fan issue, and ice maker issue, how upset and disappointed I was in their product, and that I have a fridge/freezer in my garage that is 16 yrs old and never had a service issue. She told me, We can send a service technician to look at the issue and possibly replace it. I said, You mean charge me? She stated, NO replace it??? I asked her if this was a late April Fools joke. She said, NO... I stated, Does this have something to do with a class action lawsuit I have read about. She didnt answer, but did at the same time... So, I am waiting for the service company to call and schedule an appt. If they decide that the issues I told them are verified I may be getting a new fridge, which is a shocker. The other thing I found out when talking to her she asked in regards to ice build up behind the twin cooling fans, Were the white wheels to the front and bottom of your fridge touching the ground? I stated, Yes. She stated they should not be touching and the fridge needs to be raised tilting back and that when delivered they (Best Buy) should of leveled the refrigerator for me... So Best Buy didnt do it, and neither did the service tech I paid a $150 either. She sent me an e-mail showing a do it yourself How to Level the Refrigerator. So if you are having this issue check it out. May save you a service charge. To melt the ice you need to empty your fridge/freezer for at least 24 hours and tilt it back. May solve the problem. I am leaving mine alone for now hoping for a new fridge... Good Luck.

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher to match our other Samsung appliances, both of which we have never had an issue with. The washer has broken once on month for the year we have had it. We have had innumerable service calls. They have replaced the main board twice. Everything from the pump to the latch have been replaced. Multiple error codes, the machine never works. We are always hand washing dishes, either because we are waiting in service, or if the machine is working you have to wash them before you put them in the dishwasher, per our service man, our dishes were too dirty. Or you have to wash them when they come out of the dishwasher because they are dirtier than they were when you put them in. The dishwasher recirculates the nasty water, evenly distributes it around to all your dishes and then bakes the dirt on in the heated dry cycle. Our friends have a 1990 broke down dishwasher. The door wont shut on. It sound like street sweeper, but it gets the dishes cleaner than our Samsung. What a shame! Our factory warranty is a service warranty, they will just keep fixing it till the service tech deems in unrepairable. You would think someone would have the sense to replace the machine and cut costs. Sounds like even if they did I would still have issues.

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can.
Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

After 13 months (just after warranty expired) the icemaker began icing over
After 13 months (just after warranty expired) the icemaker began icing over. I called Samsung who would only send out a paid repair person. I learned how to de-ice it myself and have to do this every three months or so. I just discovered a fix on YouTube which resulted in $200 worth of parts. Now, three years later, there is a solid sheet of ice under the crisper drawer and a very loud fan noise coming from the fridge (RF263BEAESR/AA). Again using YouTube I discovered that ice builds up because of another poor design and I had to remove all the food, all the shelves, including the difficult to remove one above the crisper drawer, and then pry off a back panel and use a hair dryer to defrost it. Ice had built up and the fan was hitting the ice. This is due to a small metal piece that is attached to the heating element, the metal piece isnt long enough and allows the drain to freeze closed. This causes the ice build up. This is an expensive appliance and I am already looking at having to replace it because it is not reliable and requires so much maintenance. My old fridge was a cheap GE that lasted 16 years without a single repair. Samsung knows about the design flaws, has even issued a technical bulletin about it. They refuse to issue a recall and correct their mistake, leaving so many homeowners frustrated. I will not buy another Samsung product as long as I live! There are several class-action lawsuits pending against Samsung in regards to this appliance. Buyer beware, run from Samsung appliances.

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. It makes very little ice at a time and have to wait for more to make. When trying to get in the ice maker to unfreeze is very hard to get into. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

I also have a problem with my freezer/fridge, a repair man had been out twice. All he does is defrost it with a blow dryer, the drain does not work properly so the bottom of the freeze becomes a skating rink and you can open the bottom drawer. When this happens, the fridge also quits working so I have to take all my food out and put it in a ice chest, put all my frozen food in another freezer and defrost it for 1 to 2 days. I do not feel I should have to deal with this. About every two weeks it freezes up, so I do not even use the freezer part anymore, my unit is two years old, very very very unsatisfied. Samsung or Conns appliance need to give me a new one of equal value but definitely not a Samsung brand.

We bought a house without a fridge and went looking. I loved the French doors and the basic layout of the fridge. Looked up the reviews on it and saw all the complaints about the ice maker. Thought that maybe the issue had been fixed. It hadn’t. Barely had it a year and had to get the ice maker replaced. Could only find 1 company that would even work on them. Took him a month trying to get the thing working again. Now here I am again 8 months later and it’s broke again. It has all the updates on it, less than a year old ice maker on it and when talking to the repairman he said that it’s a Samsung. It’s what they do. Tried contacting Samsung when it first went out and they told me that they were aware of the problem but it was past their warranty. They got their money so don’t care much if it works after they aren’t responsible for it. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwash
We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! My daughter got an Mac Pro recently that began to split apart after a month; Apple immediately took care of this. Samsung could learn a thing or two!

Add me to the list of very unhappy Samsung microwave customers. I had the same problem as everyone else in the same time frame. After just 2 years, the Samsung Microwave SMH9187b started beeping and flashing the SE error code. Samsung was no help, telling us to turn off the breaker. It never reset itself. Then they said they would cover the repair if it was the display but not if it was the box (brain) of the microwave. When I asked how we would know which it was, they said you wont until the repair people came out. Calling repair, they said it would be a minimum of $70 visit fee and $90 for the part. So that would be at least $160. Repair also said it is not the display, that the SE code means more than that. Im very disappointed with Samsung and am now looking for a new microwave. Anyone has any recommendations?

The ice maker doesn’t work. Difficult to remove the ice bin. We followed all the troubleshooting instructions. Nothing worked. Our user manual was not up to date and did not show where the “reset” button was located. We called Samsung to complain, were told it was beyond the warranty. They scheduled a service company in our area. We later found out that no service company will touch it in our area due to the problems with the ice maker. The bottom line: We have no ice available in our Samsung french door refrigerator. The ice maker is overly complex, and not user friendly. There are too many ways for this unit to fail. I can’t believe Samsung would allow this kind of a bad customer experience. I guess I know why they had big problems with their phones and washers.

Dual cooler, French door model. RF28HFEDBSR. This model, and other Samsung models, will not adequately defrost automatically. This eventually will cause ice to accumulate on the coils and it stops working. This requires the owner to empty the contents and manually defrost the refrigerator for a day or two.
