Purchased all Samsung appliances for my new kitchen, the refrigerator is by far the worse of all the appliances. Ice maker makes very little ice, enough to fill two tumblers a day. It quits and needs to be reset in order to start again. The overall size and room is small, I bought a 4 door two for freezer and two for fridge, not the best choice. It looks good, but not user-friendly. Hard to get the drawers out to clean.

Purchased all new Samsung appliances for our kitchen. The Refrigerator failed within a less than a year. The dishwasher failed within a year and now has failed again. The response and service is very poor - that is saying kindly. I will not purchase another Samsung product ever again in my lifetime and will be telling as many other people to do the same. Canada should not allow any company to sell products to consumers in Canada who are not willing to have an office within Canada to assist those consumers. Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. Never again.

I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes September of 2016. A couple weeks later the ice machine stopped giving ice. I called Samsung and first they told me to reset the ice machine and wait 24 hours. I did that and that didnt work. So I called back and they told me that my 1 year warranty was over and I would have to pay them for service. I DONT KNOW HOW A 1 YEAR WARRANTY CAN EXPIRE IN TWO MONTHS. It is December of 2016 that I am typing this review and I barely purchased my refrigerator in September of 2016. Either Samsung doesnt know how to count or the employees are high on drugs. This is so wrong. So I had to send my receipt to EFAX@sea.samsung.com and wait 24 to 48 hours. Well after a week of waiting I called back and they said that they never received my email. They are just trying to kill time for the warranty to really expire. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG!!!

After 11 months after buying a DW80F600 Series Dishwashers we had a leak under the door. Luckily we still had warranty. Two months after that we had flashing lights and it wouldnt finish washing. Of course the warranty ran out and got it fixed. Two days after that the same thing happened again. We had it fixed again and it was good for six months and different lights are flashing. We will never buy anything Samsung ever again. Its junk! Having problems with my Samsung Phone also. GARBAGE!

I have brand new house. I bought all Samsung appliances. The dishwasher started smoking and leaking. I call Best Buy to file a complaint. They told me I should call Samsung. I did call Samsung to file a complaint about dishwasher and damages to my floor. They sent out a technician to repair dishwasher and for me to take pictures of damages. Technician came out 4 times before he said it could not be fixed and just tell Samsung to replaced. When I received credit from Best Buy, I BOUGHT AN LG DISHWASHER. I will never buy a Samsung product again. They have yet to replace my floor. I call twice a week. They keep transferring me to ESR team that says it is being handle in upper management and they dont have a number for them or their insurance company number.

My Samsung dishwasher model DMT300RFW failed six months out of warranty, but used less than 20 times (it was at a second home). Repair cost was just over 1/2 the purchase price.Failed part was the drain pump, DD31-00005A. Failure mode was that the impeller shaft O ring had expanded from the drain water, preventing the shaft from turning freely. (The housing O ring had also expanded.) The O rings were not made with an appropriate material. In summary, the failure of a 10-cent part killed the dishwasher.Next, an attempt was made to report these findings to Samsung through their 800 number. Though my message was taken, there appeared to be a stone wall in terms of getting anyone to do anything. If this happens again, and it likely will, I may buy space in the Wall Street Journal and see if they care. What did I expect, at least that someone would make sure that my findings got to the right people. I guess it would be naive to expect anything else.

Ok this will be a bit long: I got my kitchen remodeled Nov 2020. Purchased all 5 Samsung appliances, from Best Buy. Had issue with every one except the microwave which we dont use much of. I have been on hold for Samsung Case managers for over 2 1/2 hrs. So I figured I would kill time by leaving this review so no one else will have to go thru what I have, and currently am going thru. My issues started about 2 mos of installation. First issue was my cooktop. Kept giving out error code and wouldnt turn on. Then it wouldnt turn off. At the same time my ice maker was freezing over and wouldnt dispense ice. The ice maker issue got resolved, then I realized my refrigerator was freezing my food, noticed it with my eggs. Tech came and repaired, but happened again. Called Samsung pro talked to customer service, who tried to provide the best care they are able to, but they cant make any decisions. Because its been serviced 3 times I have the option to get my refund or replace the refrigerator. I opted to get a refund cause I dont want to take any more chances with Samsung products. I had to submit a receipt along with the ticket #. After the third attempt I was finally told that they can escalate it from customer service to a Case Manager. Unfortunately these Case Managers are hard to get a hold of. This process began November 17, 2021. Today is December 2, 2021. I was first told a case manager was going to contact me within 3-4 business days, I get no calls, no emails then on November 30th I get a short generic email stating that they made several attempts to contact me and if I can call them back at 1-800-Samsung at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got the email I called 1-800-Samsung and got customer service who informed me that the department they need to transfer me to is closed. I asked her if she can send them an email and have them call me, because I did not receive any calls from them, I had no miss calls, no messages, she said she did, still no calls or emails. Today I have the day off so here I am typing this review, still on hold 3 hrs later. I live in Hawaii and their office hours are 9-9 EST. I am grateful I have an extra fridge in the garage to store my things. In addition to my refrigerator issue, I am awaiting a claim ticket for a third service call on my double oven, which has super uneven heating. I am beyond frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and stay away from Samsung. For some reason the newer models are not quality. Doesnt work properly and even though warranty seems to be good on paper, its almost impossible to get thru.

I did not do any research. Shame on me! Freezes up below crisper drawers. I did as suggested on previous posts - emptied everything, cleaned and removed ice from panel, vents and everything. I used a hair dryer to melt everything faster. I had temp a few degrees lower than recommended, but then I set to the recommendation. Two months later, big ice below the drawers - not in the vents (yet, I would assume). Bottom line, do not spend $2,000 on Samsung products. Unfortunately, I have to condemn the whole company. As someone did post, lets get a class action. There too, the lawyers get all the money and we get small compensation.

We purchased new and less than 18 months of use with just my husband I has it cycling out with every wash saying there is some obstruction??? We rinse all of our dishes and do not use the dishwasher as a garbage disposal even though it said it had special features to handle food debris with no issues?? Checking into others experiences they have said sometimes plastic have broken off and caused the lines to get obstructed. Really we have to take the dishwasher out and pull out and check all the lines to ensure our dishwasher will work as it originally claimed. ): Not happy. Definitely would not recommend!

Tech came out, replaced all items, still did not fix the range. He stated it is not repairable and from the number of calls, I have had no help from Samsung and no customer service. They do not want to help the consumer. We still have the non working range and have not been contacted by Samsung. Our Samsung French Door refrigerator keeps icing up under the back panel. It started happening after the four-year warranty was out. We have had it fixed repeatedly during the last year at $100 minimum each time only for the problem to return within a month. Now it is every two weeks. I have learned what to look for, what sounds to listen for and to take the back panel off to defrost it myself. Granted it is 8 years old but as much as it cost it should have lasted much longer. The repairman cannot fix it so we cant even sell it.

Right after 5 year warranty expired the ice maker started overflowing causing the bottom freezer shelf to get stuck to the ice that formed on the cabinet bottom. Service call would have been $170 + parts - I have a hammer and was okay breaking up the ice. Now the compressor has died (less than 6 years in operation and the warranty on sealed parts ended at 5 years). What a piece of junk and Samsung customer service is an oxymoron - (sent emails to Director of N. Amer. Customer Service right after warranty expired for ice maker issue) with no reply. Never will I buy another Samsung product and am happy I have an iPhone not a Galaxy. $1600 for a unit that lasted less than 6 years - they should be ashamed of themselves...but that would require responsibility and customer service.

Ticket **. My fridge stopped working under warranty and it was diagnosed as a bad compressor & Freon leak. They would fix the compressor the following week, but couldnt fix the Freon leak. So they would return with a new compressor and still not fix the issue? Yes, it was the Samsung policy. I called customer service and complained that I had a client (renter) arriving the following day. After hours on the phone, Samsung relented and offered a full refund. I went out and bought a new fridge. Now a month later, I called asking the status of the refund. They acknowledged they offered a refund, but they rescinded the refund offer stating that I refused the repair. I explained that I did not refuse the repair, I accepted the offer of the refund. After many more hours on the phone, I finally gave up. I do own 2 Samsung refrigerators, 3 televisions and just purchased a new side-by-side washer & dryer. Never again. We bought this refrigerator at Lowes Dec 2012. Sale price was $1400.00 plus tax. Our problems started about 2 years after we bought the unit. Every 2-3 months this refrigerator will start making a terrible loud noise that will stop when you open the door. After read other reviews we realized that we have to take out all of food and defrost this freezer overnight due to a build up of ice on the fan in the refrigerator side. Not only is it annoying to have to do this plus losing so much food due to this problem. I will never buy another Samsung Appliance! Im sure Im not the only consumer out there that feels this way!

We purchased a counter depth refrigerator back on 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and switch to dispense ice since we had it. Not only did we spend a lot for this refrigerator, we have continued to have to sink money into it to keep it working. Then we bought the $500 over the range microwave. Bad move!!! After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that wont work at all. But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. My sister also had same issues with her Samsung refrigerator. Samsung might make good TVs but their kitchen appliances are a piece of junk and they do not care how much you spend on them, they will not cover repairing a function like the number buttons! Unacceptable!!

I have struggled with error code with this dishwasher shortly after purchasing it. I owned it for exactly 1 year, 1 month. 1 year warranty was not supported at all. Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. I shouldve gotten an extended warranty on both, but it seems, Im reading, that Samsung wont support the products with extended warranties.

After two years, my Samsung SRS594HNSS two-door fridge started to freeze over on the left inside vent. It stopped working shortly after. I had the fridge for 2 1/2 years. When I contacted Samsung, who put me on to their agent, he installed a kit which cost me with labor $AU250. It took five weeks for the kit to come and it was over two months before the job was done. The fridge is now freezing over again. Samsung said it was out of warranty. I told Samsung that no one would buy an expensive fridge that would only last 2 1/2 years. It has been four months now since I contacted Samsung and their agent and the fridge is now 2 years and ten months old. I rang Samsung and they said the kit was under warranty and to call their agent again. The agent wants to charge me all over again for the labor. The agent for Samsung said that he had installed lots of these kits and never had any trouble, which makes me think it is a fault in the fridge. Samsung said it wasnt. Why the kit then? The complaints department staff were courteous and helpful. I realize it is not their fault, but a company policy. I had to buy another fridge during the hot Australian summer while waiting for the repair to be done. I am disappointed with Samsung as I have bought their products before including an expensive washing machine. I wont be buying any Samsung products from now on if they dont do the right thing by me.

Ive had the Samsung refrigerator for 3 years. The first year, it was leaking water and that was repaired. The second year, it stopped cooling and the fans were replaced. The icemaker has not worked most of the time. And this year, it stopped cooling on July 12. They came and replaced the fans and the icemaker. During that repair, they found an internal Freon leak. It took another 2 weeks before that was repaired, but the refrigerator was still not cooling. This time, it was apparently the compressor. They replaced the compressor on Friday, August 30th. I woke up Saturday to a nice cold fridge. I was happy about that! However, Saturday night, the temp was reading 60 degrees in the fridge and 40 degrees in the freezer! Im so over this. I have not had a working refrigerator since July the 12th. It is September 2nd. Were using a mini-fridge and a deep freezer. They told me it has to have the same repair done 3 times and then break again a 4th time before it qualified for replacement under the lemon law. Im very frustrated and will NEVER buy another Samsung product.

I purchased side-by-side model #RS263TDWP/XAA01 in July of 2013 for $1379 from Sears. We have been quite happy with it until recently when the upper shelves were not getting cold (70 degree temp reading; the bottom at 46-55 degrees). There was some recent unusual noises in the fridge prior but subsided; phone tech suggested leveling but it is level. The doors close and are aligned properly. That was not the problem.Tech was sent to service the refrigerator and after electronically testing the unit announced it was the defrost sensor that was out (DA32-00006W). Obviously we had to replace- BUT NOT COVERED!!! The 5 year warranty is on the sealed refrigeration unit only not including the electronics needed to operate. REALLY!!?? Samsung is an electronic based company and this happens? After 1.5 years, an electronic part goes out and I have to pay for this $28 part and $220 labor!!? And to make matters worse, the tech advised this part will last longer than the original one that was installed planned obsolescence?! How long is this part going to last? I have a 20 year old Kenmore that has never had a service call!I have purchased smaller Samsung electronics with no issues but really am concerned about this appliance and any other major appliance that I will be in the market for in the future. After 3 emails explaining this situation, I recd a Thank You and Hope we helped...no help only offers of future advertisements. After 40 minutes holding on the phone, did talk to a nice agent who noted my frustrations...only to recv another email the next day - that it is not covered. No Samsung appliances for me!

Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

Bad product support & bad quality product: Samsung product is not working (product model no. 180 LITER, model name: Samsung double door)I’m frustrated after buying the Samsung refrigerator product and I m not satisfied with the service of this product. I bought the Samsung fridge last year. Now I have a lot of troubles at the present. It is not working. There is a major problem; the refrigerator is not working. Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? We recently put an entire modern kitchen and addition on our home. At that point given we had for many years used Samsung we upgraded the white GE appliances to Samsung in our home as they were here when we bought it. We bought a new French door bottom drawer freezer fridge, pretty much top of the line at Home Depot. We bought the matching microwave model #ME21H705MQS/AC, and lastly also the matching stove with convection, steam cleaning. The fridge was delivered first and it would not shut off and was very loud to a point were it interrupted conversations. After following their processes and after the technician came and he agreed something was very wrong, we had to them go through their executive center who literally after 20 minutes told they would sent our request for this 4 day old fridge to their engineering department to see if we qualified to have to returned. Home Depot were totally disconnected from this process. They told us they did not accept returns only repairs. We told them and Samsung should their technician who acknowledge this brand new fridge had significant issues and after the so-called executive center began by telling they would promptly resolve our issue. We told their executive center should their decision be to contradict their field technician and not replace and or return it we would seek legal counsel. They called later saying Samsung would return to Samsung. That process has taken 3 weeks since and the unit has been returned back and we await a refund. Think of the logistics involved in such a key appliance as a fridge and not just the food but having two in the house at the same time. We still do not have our refund. Friday night my wife decided make popcorn for the first time as we are only at this home on weekends in our now month old over the range microwave. With seconds she was screaming as it was on fire with flames shooting out of the side panel on the right hand side. It filled our new kitchen with disgusting white thick terrible smelling smoke. We called Home Depot and again the nightmare starts all over with chasing out tails. In various conversations with service people they tells us there are silent recalls. We are not sure about that but in any case why are they shipping products that can cause fires?Google how often this happens!I should have mentioned we have been asking to speak to a Samsung manager since this beginning with no feedback. Why should we keep the stove now??? Had we done our research this would not have happened. It is shame our home has been filled with Samsung products till this series of issues but never again!

Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge wont cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good looking fridge. We had a $300 fridge for 16 years that kept our food and beverages cold without a single problem, so I did not think it possible for a refrigerator to not do the very things it exists to do. But Samsung cracked that nut. Ice maker immediately made ice dam at back of drawer and froze the ice bucket in place. 5+ service calls on a brand-new fridge, never got it working. Tech said we could keep trying but it was a design flaw. Used cardboard and duct tape to seal it off. After almost 2 years fridge stopped cooling. Warm beer and spoiling milk and food. Temp on the door reads 34 degrees. Bought thermometer, steady 50 degrees. Tried all the fixes I could find online, no effect. Service call, cleaned compressor area. No effect. Read reviews: sounds like its a problem with coolant leak of the R600 coolant (2 different kinds of coolant for the 2 fridge compressors) which isnt sold in the US and is highly flammable, and will leak out again even if I replace it with the other coolant called R134A. Finding and fixing the leak means tearing out the guts.Fridge is so new and so expensive Im tempted to try to fix it. But I reviewed many posts -- it would be good money after bad. Looking for a free fridge on Craigslist. Consumer Reports highly recommended this fridge when I bought it. But it is a complete POS. Dont buy a Samsung anything. Their fridges dont refrigerate and their phones explode.

Originally posted earlier this month. Followed Samsungs advice and defrosted refrigerator for 36 hours, with fan blowing on it. Checked to make sure all ice buildup had cleared. Turned on, ran fine, icemaker even working again. Now several days later, ice maker is stopping and probably means another complete defrost. Do not buy Samsung Refrigerators, ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH ICING UP AND NOISE. They dont seem to have a fix. Terrible, 5 years old $2000+ refrigerator and nothing but problems.Updated on 06/16/2018: I have contacted Samsung and searched the web. My 5 yr old refrigerator keeps freezing up and the fan starts making a loud noise. Only resolution Samsung has offered is to defrost the refrigerator. Really, its a self defrosting, yet now we have to unload and let it thaw out 2-3 times a year. This problem with their refrigerators is noted by numerous people on the internet, yet Samsung offers no remedy and it appears this problem occurs with many of their refrigerators going back several years. This company is selling numerous refrigerators and should fix the problem or offer real solution.

We bought our Samsung from Lowe's. It was on sale and with my veteran's discount, it was a great price. We are empty nesters and the size of the fridge is perfect for us, with ample door storage. Lots of freezer space also. We love the filtered ice/water through the door options. The stainless steel is so easy to keep clean and looks really sharp. Temperature controls actually work where in some other brands we have owned they were more like idiot gages, nonfunctional. We have owned it six years now and still loving it. Only thing I would change is the location of the water filter. Put it up top so an old man like me does not have to lay down to make the change.

I bought this dishwasher new. Within the first 2 years the control panel went out, cost $200. The bottom screen tore, replaced at 85. My husband did all the labor or I would have paid as much again for this dishwasher as it cost originally. Now just a simple leak at the bottom of the door. The rubber gasket is old and tore, water leaking all over my floor. Simple to get out. But Samsung does not sell just the door gasket, You must Buy The Entire Door Panel. Why not? It’s holding the consumer hostage for higher priced parts replacements. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. I won’t waste any more fixing this product. Buying a new Whirlpool! Never buy Samsung Dishwashers!

I own a Samsung black stainless steel refrigerator. The ice maker stopped working a few months later. Never made a big deal about it but after calling Samsung they wanted to charge me for a tech to take a look. I did buy the extended warranty. Samsung has a class action lawsuit against them for this problem. They never made the American public aware of this problem. They insist there is no recall but acknowledge via bulletins there is a problem. I asked both chat technician and customer support why are we not being told and asked to speak to someone who could answer me. I was told no one could call me by Kit the chat tech and customer support hung up on me.I own about 12 different Samsung appliances. Disgusting how they take our money and then turn their backs. I am a hard working American citizen and I refuse to put another dime in Samsungs pocket. Their employees take joy on seeing fellow Americans used and I would never recommend buying Samsung again. I wasted 4 plus hours to be lied to then to be hung up on. I would recommend never to buy Samsung and I will make it my duty to rid my house of all Samsung products. This company is all about defrauding hard working Americans.

I contacted Samsung and they told me it was a maintenance issue and it was my problem. They referred me to a parts supplier and I was prepared to buy a new handle (I had no choice) but none were available. They were to contact me when they had one. I bought a Samsung four door refrigerator type back in June 2013 at Lowes. A year after, the ice maker started to slow down making cube ice and then completely stopped producing it for just approximately 1 year and 3 months, not to mention on the countless reset I have done just to have ice. It will cost me $200-$300 for the repair and replacement of the unit as what I have been informed by their customer service. I was even told that I should have taken the extended warranty ;-(.... June 2019, the unit completely shutdown as both fridge and freezer were not cooling off anymore. Just 6 years and there goes my hard earned money down the drain. I thought Samsung was supposed to be a good long term household appliance, but turned out to be a BIG disappointment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR YALL BUYING THIS SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!

We have a Samsung model RF217 series refrigerator. Its an absolutely beautiful appliance to look at, but it freezes everything below the top shelf, even with the temperature at its highest setting. This is not the strangest thing, however. Ice accumulates in the vegetable bins. This seems impossible since there is no source of water - we have never hooked up a water line to the ice maker. So those of you with water in the vegetable bins, the source may not be the ice maker or water line. If anyone has the answer, Id love to hear it.

We purchased our range/oven in October 2018. Not even 3 months later had to have it repaired: the entire control unit was replaced as the controls locked up with food burning in the oven, with oven door locked. Now the oven turns on at random times, and also locking the oven door, and freezing the control unit again. So called Samsung again, and explained that this range/oven is dangerous, as it could burn down the house with my family in it. Their response? Cant exchange it because we have to wait for the second round of repairs. Last time it took at least 3 weeks for the spare parts to arrive, so when asked the Specialty Claim Rep at Samsung, her answer was that if I am afraid of the unit, I should unplug it until fixed. My question is, why would I want a unit replaced when this is systematic issue, and not a unit-specific problem? When asked if Samsung will take full liability for possibly causing property damage or bodily harm, their answer was I can not talk to a supervisor as my case has been already escalated. Which agency is responsible of forcing a manufacturer to recall a dangerous product? And why they are not acting after all those reviews on this site? Indeed, I failed to read these comments, otherwise I would avoided this product line and Samsung altogether... Now I am stuck with a product for a very long time...

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

The problem was in the sealed system which has a five year warranty. He contacted Samsung and took all the necessary documentation as he was directed and sent it to Samsung. That was 4 weeks ago during which time I have called and been connected to executive customer service seven times, each phone call a minimum of 40 minutes on hold. I have sent my sales receipt twice. They always have problems locating some piece of information but always give a new transaction number and a very polite vague excuse. I have called the certified dealer twice. They resubmitted info and the second time even had the regional manager for Samsung send it in. That was one week ago. At my last call on Oct 2, 2014... This is ongoing and I am now waiting again for 2-3 days. Mind you these calls are all 40-60 minutes long and it has been 6 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator! It also appears from other submissions, this is a big problem with Samsung and others.

Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March
Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March 26, 2016. Last week after the holidays on 12/27/17 decided to use the self cleaning oven for very first time (oven was only lightly soiled). I picked the short 2hr cycle since it was the first time using the cleaning feature. About an hour later noticed the display lights were all off and oven was not running. Oven door was locked. The knobs and display panel were hot. Waited for it to cool down for hours. Nothing changed. Luckily the stove top still worked! Called PC Richards for my extended warranty service. A week later the repair tech came and said he has seen this problem many times before and that it is a known design flaw of the range and suggested I clean the stove manually from now on! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing - after spending over $2000.00 on a new range I am supposed to clean it by hand? The tech ordered the 3 hidden thermal fuses and will return to repair when they come in. If that does not unlock the oven door he states it could be that the motherboard was also fried and need to be replaced. Luckily I have an extended warranty but if I attempt to use the self clean again will this happen all over again. I will be contacting Samsung for the answer. I am 60 yrs old and have never had to clean any oven manually before and don’t intend to start now! Apparently this is a known flaw and this product should be recalled by Samsung. I will wait until the tech returns with the parts (hopefully within another 2 weeks) and everything is fixed and then intend to contact Samsung again. This is a major inconvenience, not having an oven for at least 3-4 weeks. I hear the customer service and satisfaction at Samsung is less than adequate but I am relentless and will not accept this situation. I will keep you posted.

We bought a Samsung Dishwasher Model DMT800RHS in 2011. Repaired it several times due to rack clips breaking off and getting stuck in the impeller. Samsung did not fix the faulty design on those clips and just sent replacement parts. Guess what, they broke again. In 2014.08.05 the dishwasher would not power up at all. Repair person attended and cost $500.00 for the repair! The machine cost me $859.90. In 2014.10.15 the machine broke again, no power at all. The Tech re-attended but now out of the 90 day warranty. He did get it working for 1 day and claimed he did not know what the issue could be but dont call him back as now out of warranty. Great. Next day, machine broke and has been ever since. Called Samsung. Wont help as machine out of warranty. This is clearly a manufacturer defect with the electronics. My only option is to take Samsung to court! Do not buy Samsung dishwashers!!

So, I purchase my house in May with all new appliances. I notice from the get-go that the refrig. didnt seem to cool enough for my taste. I thought it was just me, but by the end of May I was already having more issues with the refrigerator. The fan was making a horrible sound. By the time the tech showed up which was over a week later. The fan had stopped working and I had to get rid of all the food. He replaced the sensor and water line. It has now been a week since then and my fan is starting to make the sound again. I called the tech because his phone number was on the receipt he left me. He told me that I had to go back to Samsung and start the process all over. So, that means all my food will spoil again! Do not buy this refrigerator!

My Samsung refrigerator is just 1 year old and the technicians have visited almost every month due to one or the other problem. It started just over a month when I realized that any fruit or vegetable I kept outside the vegetable compartment had ice in it. Even the cooked vegetables if kept in the back of the shelf had ice in it. I kept on complaining this issue to Samsung Customer Service. Every time they will send a technician who will change the part and go. It was more of a pain as I couldnt use the fridge to full capacity. As instructed by technicians there were so many things which I shouldnt put in certain shelves or the size of boxes. I kept away leftovers or anything cooked/half cooked. I dont remember till date if I ever had to be so careful in using the refrigerator. I couldnt use half of the space in refrigerator fearing it will get spoiled. Not only that, my refrigerator stopped working completely 3 times in just a span of 1 year. Again they had to change the parts. I kept on calling them and asking them to change the refrigerator as it was giving me so many problems (not to forget just in 1 year- full warranty period) but they just turned deaf ear to my requests, even when I contacted their supervisor. Ill never ever recommend Samsung refrigerator to anyone after this experience. It looks like every time the warranty expires, Ill have to keep purchasing extended warranty and bear with the refrigerator. This Samsung product has been a big pain in the ass.

Range NX58H5600SS: Bad experience with this range. I was smelling gas and I call my gas company, I have warranty with them. I was so mad because its been over 3 weeks trying to resolve this problem, I spent like $800 on this range. They told me Samsung dont make this part any long or its on back order. Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.

We have a 2019 convection model that wasnt working when we bought our home. 2 of the 4 burners only worked on High, so we could not adjust them. BTW - owners selling homes are supposed to sign a form claiming that everything works to their knowledge. These owners lied because not only did the Samsung oven not work properly but the Samsung refrigerator ice maker did not work either. We had to pay $100 with the home warranty to get someone to fix both. About a year later, a burner literally blows up! My wife had something on low simmering on one burner with a cover sitting on the other burners that were off. That cover had a glass center that blew up along with the glass that covered the burners. Fortunately, the glass didnt hit my wife or 7 y/o son who were right next to it.I took photos and sent them to Samsung and they sent someone over to review whether it was really what we said, or an impact cause. Guess what? The dude said it was caused by impact and that it would cost us hundreds to fix. No joke! He even said it would cost us $100 for the visit. I told him to get out of my house and good luck getting your $100 from Samsung.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator for my wife for her birthday. Without pulling out the paperwork I think it was in November of 2008. Purchased at Lowes. Had a repairman come out to fix it twice within the first year. It was icing up and sounded like a food processor inside due to ice build up around the fan. The coils were solid ice and the drain was frozen. There was water underneath the platter drawer and so much it would leak out and across the floor. Well seven years later Im still going through the same things. As I write this at 1:48 in the morning I cant sleep due to the noise the fan is making due to ice buildup. This is ** for what I paid. Ive found out about a class action lawsuit against Samsung but cant find any info on how to join. I cant afford a new fridge right now so Im stuck until the lawsuit is settled I guess.

Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon afte
Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon after. After calling Sears out to repair they diagnosed it as the sealed refrigerator system stopped working. This was covered by Samsungs factory warranty, (covered for 5 years). After contacting Samsung they had 3 techs come out over the course of 3 weeks trying to repair it. They could not and said we would receive a new unit in 48 hours. After no contact in 48 hrs. I called and they had to do the paperwork. After calling several times for updates. They decided to refund our money because they did not have the same unit. It has been over a month since the unit stopped working. We are now waiting for our refund. They say it takes between 7 to 14 days but the Samsung Reps. say thats not true. They wait the full 14 days to refund the money. So if your fridge stops working please check your Warranty that comes with the fridge even if you dont have a store warranty. The warranty information is in your refrigerator manual. The number for Samsung is on the back of the manual or your decal inside of your fridge.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator RSG5FUPN three years ago and today I can testify that it was one of the worst shopping in my life (and I have over 40 years of experience with other refrigerators). It has many defects related to the quality of materials: A long crack (about 40 cm in length) was created in the inner wall of the freezer. At the bottom of the kiosk door, rust (corrosion) was spreading. The doors color faded and yellowed. Internal shelves and covers are broken for no reason (during normal use). Drawers have places where dirt accumulates and cannot be cleaned.

I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. We purchased this dishwasher at Lowes in July 2012. Earlier this year it stopped running and gave an 5E code. We looked it up in our manual and it said drain error. We checked everything and could not clear the code. We tried the cancel & drain to no avail. We ended up pulling everything out and scooping all the water out. We had a plumber come over and he checked all the drains/hoses etc. and found nothing. He then called Samsung and told them he thought it was the electrical panel and they would not tell him anything since he was not an authorize Samsung repair person. Unfortunately around this time my mom went into hospice care so hand washing dishes was going to have to suffice. My mother passed away in the summer. By late August I started contacting Samsung to get an authorized service person to come out. What a nightmare. I had to call a couple of times to get someone on the phone who would even help me. They will not give you the local persons number. I was finally given a ticket number and a phone number to call for Service Quick. This was a long distance call for me. They then said they would have a local person call with a quote and set up an appointment. So finally 6 days later I got a voice message. I returned the call now at least 4 times (another long distance number) which nobody answers the phone. It does not say the company name or anything, just a standard automated at the beep please leave a message. In the meantime I went in the phone book and called a local appliance repair person. They took the whole thing apart and told me it looked like the pump was out and possibly the electrical panel and that it looked like the parts would be about $350. That is half of what this thing cost! They suggested I just buy a new dishwasher. That in their experience the Samsung are a lot of trouble and expensive to repair. They were very nice and only charged me for a short service call. I am very frustrated. Every time I talked to a Samsung person I was asked did you purchase the extended warranty?. That is ridiculous! A dishwasher should not need an extended warranty for something not even two years old! It is now September 9th and I Still have not spoken to anyone on the repair side! I dont have money lying around to just literally throw down the drain on new appliances. But I think that is what is going to happen. I will Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator June, 2015. Within 6 weeks, water started leaking from under the freezer. I called Samsung customer service who attempted to give me some how-to information. This did not work. For over 1 year Ive tried to rectify the problem via Samsung until they finally said, sucks to be you!, your appliance is out of warranty. I pushed the issue and was told to submit receipts, which are on thermo paper and no longer readable. It has been determined to be un-repairable because there is no Samsung service repair in my area. Likely a simple adjustment needs to be done, but Samsung will not authorize repair. They tell me that I will have to send in the paperwork, all labels from appliance, the cord (plus a video of me cutting said cord), and they will review the file and send me a check... Follow up; my frustrating experience with all of our Samsung appliances. Stove Model NE58F97. Fridge Model RF267. Washer WF 328 and Dryer DV 328. Stove has a previous review in Feb. The amount of issues with this stove warrants action by consumers. Doesnt cook! Burns, dries out, undercooks food and anything with fat under high heat will be sucked through the convection fan and turn into a smoking mess. Will not broil anything, try and broil a steak, youll be sorry. The only way you are going to bake a potato is to place it directly on the lower stove element and turn it once. Thats how bad the cooking is. This stove is all flash with zero engineering or consumer testing. The glass top ($); well seems everyone is having problems with the top. Too fragile period! I will be replacing my top after a 1 ounce salt shaker nicked the edge. Looked like an innocent looking edge chip but the first time the large burner was turned on it shattered the top. Design flaw or purpose built? You be the judge, looks suspect to me. Wonder how many glass tops were made? The shelving is horrible, we had an incident in previous review where the locking sliding shelf would lock into place randomly. Looked locked in but wasnt. Rest of shelving just falls to bottom with any weight. Really bad on lower half of stove. Dangerous! Burns! Damaged ovenware! Really! Burners are all over the place with heat regulation. Zero simmering capabilities, goes from no heat to blast furnace. Ruined many high quality stainless pans and Revere Ware to the point they are unusable (warped). Way too hot on high settings. Multi burner has multiple control issues. I do not bake cake goods but I can just imagine the problems with that because it can barely cook a pizza. Warming drawer is worthless (low setting too hot) and makes loud banging noises from heat expansion. Do not open this stove without turning your head away, the steam that shoots out of the front of this stove is dangerous. Cooling fan was dead quiet now has annoying high pitch. So it will not cook, its dangerous, will destroy your property and you will need a new top ($500) around every two years if you are lucky. This is my personal experience. Please if anyone has had a good one let us know! Fridge, well the fridge has performed fair but heres the list. Ice maker way under powered. Has been replaced once under warranty ($). Struggles to dispense or crush ice. Interior shelving horrible. Folding and sliding shelves have a mind of their own and continually cause items to fall out of fridge. Folding shelf was stiff so we tried to stay away from using it. Broke ($) at hinges 3rd time we used it. Front lowest edge of shelf is rounded without lip. Stuff slides off shelf onto floor. Fresh drawer broke the 2nd time ($) we cleaned it. Just hangs loose now. Freezer will occasionally go into steroid defrost mode and you will have an inch of frost on everything (normally a 16th of an inch). Washer does good job washing but screams horribly on any fill cycle. Sign they used cheap plastic on their water fill valves ($) and calcium buildup is slowly clogging it. Washer has the load leveling feature ($) which has gotten sloppier. Dryer does well but occasionally acts like the sensor ($) is going and will leave a damp load. I wont buy any of their products again. They got too big too fast and have turned into company that needs profits and have designed their appliances to be cash cows (that is what the dollar sign represents in this review) for their parts and repair business and affiliates. I purchased my stove through the internet from Goedekers in St. Louis, MO in 2014 and paid $1800. I will not bother with their customer service, they have to be overwhelmed and under corporate pressure to not honor their product from what I have read. Stay far away from their products and good luck finding anything of quality out there today. Our own fault we let this go on.

The paint has been peeling off the top and now the bottom of the microwave. I called and they said they havent had that complaint. I dont believe that. That also claimed it was the way I clean it. I only use a soft sponge and mild soap! I would not recommend their appliances. I also purchased a stove but because it was the floor middle they refused to fix the feet that dont adjust at all. The refrigerator I purchased also has no place for the water to go when it soil after use in the door dispenser. I am very unhappy to say the least!

I bought a whole kitchen set made by Samsung, in exactly 4 years my refrigerator broke, Samsung had a repair person come out and they couldnt get one screw out to fix it. After numerous calls and spoiled food because coolers arent the greatest at preserving food Samsung said that I had to find my own maintenance company. Well Oddly enough there is no one in my area besides the company that could not get one screw out, to repair my fridge. Samsung said there was nothing they could do. Now fast forward a few months my microwave is now broken. Im sure I will get nowhere with this broken appliance as well. Through all the calls and hours spent on the phone and the food reimbursement check Samsung said they would send us I have gotten nothing from them and no answers. Their products are junk and any company that sells them needs to stop because most of the people selling them know they are junk and tell you not to buy them.

Undependable. I am beyond angry, I just lost over $200 in food because this stupid fridge just stopped working while I was away, all because the filter change indicator was on!? They have designed the fridge to indicate that the water filter needs to be changed every 6 months like clockwork, the indicator light does not actually tell you if its dirty it just happens at 6 months. So when this indicator light is on, the fridge and freezer wont work. So mark your calendars and try to track when its going to happen or youll lose all your food too.

Purchased the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in June 2014. Brand new technology - $900 worth! Pffff!! Within 6 months, had to have a repairman out because of an error saying there was a problem with an O ring in the water pump. Within 12 months, they were out again for the same issue - TWICE! Finally replaced it on their 3rd trip. 12 months after that (2 days ago) got the 7E error, telling me the waterwall was being blocked and couldnt move. Nothing blocking the waterwall and it is just stuck. Repairman coming AGAIN tomorrow to check. My extended warranty through Lowes is up in June 2019. I WILL be buying yet another brand dishwasher when that happens. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to phones only!
