We bought this DMT800RHW unit because we were satisfied with their refrigerator. This is a top of the line unit. Too bad we didnt see all these negative reviews. From the start, we had problems. First, a small plastic wheel on the bottom rack was missing when it arrived. I called to ask them to just send a wheel I could snap on in 10 seconds... Nope. They had to send out a technician. Then those wheels were rubbing on the lower right side of the door gasket, and eventually dislodge the stainless steel grip in that area that went around the whole door to hold the rubber gasket. It was tack welded on, so they said the dishwasher was a loss. They would not repair it. They decided to refund out money, but not installation, which was the good news and policy by Samsung. To do that, I had to rip off the identity label, cut the power cord off and take a picture of all that to send into Samsung. This was not too easy to do, but we are fairly assertive with Samsung. Since Im handy with mechanical and electrical systems, I put it back together. I also screwed in the stainless steel gasket holder and had a new dishwasher for free.... or so I thought. A couple months later, I started getting error codes 0E and 9E which mean low water level and high water level. When this happens, the cycle just stops. This increased in frequency over a year. Unplugging the unit then plugging it back in would seem to fix it for a while. At this point, the unit constantly gives these errors and seems useless. When it is turned on, the unit will fill with water and empty itself about three or four times without actually starting to spray water inside - like it is in some self-cleaning cycle. Then one of these error codes comes up, but the water is not low or too high. The design of the bottom of the dishwasher is really very simple and easy to take apart (Phillips screwdriver tip only), so I did that and cleaned it out thoroughly in first attempt. There seemed to be some debris blocking one channel. After this attempt, the same thing happens... three or four fill/empty cycles then one of the two error codes. I would like to take it apart further, but am not sure what to do as it may be a sensor or circuit board error. On other matters, I have noticed how the internal plastic parts seem to be deteriorating from the dishwashing process. From all these posts in this forum, clearly Samsung has engineered a unit that is defective in so many ways. I am disgusted by Samsung as well, but at least I didnt have to pay for my dishwasher!

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

Bought this French door Samsung fridge model rf263 brand new 3 years ago. At first it was awesome, love the roomy space and design of it. But within first year it started making a really loud grinding sound. And eventually one day fridge part totally quit cooling. Ruining lots of food. Luckily we unplugged it and I researched online and found out due to defective design this fridge tends to fill up with ice in back where air flows between compartments and when it’s making its grumbling noise its ice rubbing on the fan. Only cure is to let the fridge completely defrost for 48 hours. There is no way to get to the coils to clean this fridge out either. So I defrosted it for 1 day at first, moving all food to ice chest and deep freeze is a pain in the rear. That wasn’t long enough had to do it again for 48 hours. Then it worked fine until next time it started making the noise again. Now it is freezing up every 3 months or so and today it is doing it yet again. It is NOT a reliable fridge, because when the fridge starts not cooling it doesnt notify you until it reaches about 60 degrees. Yesterday I cooked 50 dollars’ worth of barbecue meat and this morning it turns out the fridge was not cooling. The temp display was flashing 38 degrees but when I put thermometer in there the actual temp was 65. Do not buy this fridge, all the good reviews for this fridge are from new owners. The problems show up with it well after 6 months of use.

Samsung FE710DRS/XAA Range. This range was built-in 2011 and we bought it in 2012. For the first year, it worked fine. Unfortunately, within a week or so of the warranty ending, the center element of the three element right front burner stopped working. Per Sears: We had to replace the front element AND the burner control switch, since one of them caused the other to stop working. In other words, the Sears technician didnt know which came first, the chicken or the egg! But! They were both bad! Unless! As he then added, Unless the controller is defective, in which case youll have to replace it too! Cost? Over $400. We decided to live without the center element, after all the middle and outer elements were working fine.AND THEN! Six months or so later, while my wife was baking the Christmas Turkey, the controller declared that the range was suffering an E-27 error! Naturally, I got out the operator manual! So! I turned off the circuit breaker as instructed! And the range worked. Until the next time. After that, every time we used the oven, we got either an E-27 error or an E-0A error. E-0A meaning that the oven was too hot.Naturally, Sears told us that we had to replace the oven temperature sensor and almost certainly the controller as well, since it PROBABLY was defective. Cost over $400! We decided to live with the E-27 and E-0A errors since turning the circuit breaker off and back on fixed the problem long enough that we could finish baking whatever we were baking. Unless, of course, my wife or daughter was baking a cake. Which is to say that if the controller declared an E-27 or E-0A error, the cake would be ruined. And then! The 2-element front left burner decided to operate at FULL POWER no matter where the burner control knob was set. Naturally, my wife found out that the hard way, as in: She left the kitchen to answer a phone call, while simmering vegetables for a soup, only to suddenly see smoke pouring from the kitchen! That was the last straw! So! We started looking for another range. BUT! The Samsung had one last nasty trick up its sleeve! The right rear burner OPENED while I was heating water.Just in case you dont know what OPENED means, as applied to an electrical device, it means that a conductor, as in a piece of wire (the wire in the burners of all-electric ranges are conductors) separated, in a spectacular fashion, as in: SPARKS and loud POPPING NOISES! No, it didnt blow the 50-amp breaker, but it kept right on sparking and popping for about a minute, when the wire in the burned finally pulled apart, which OPENED the circuit. AND SO NOW, we were down to one burner working properly, the left rear burner, one burner that was dead, the right rear burner, one burned that was limping, the right front burner, and one burner that would only work at full power. To be perfectly frank, I would not have a Samsung range if Samsung offered to give me one for free! AND! To be perfectly frank, I am not in the least surprised that Samsungs Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have batteries that can explode. In my humble opinion, I think that any person who buys anything made by Samsung is making a huge mistake!

This is by far the worst waste of $849 I have ever spent. Does not clean. Spot weld broke on inner seal which interferes with removing lower dish rack. Constant error codes have to keep unplugging to clear. Dont buy this piece of crap. I would rather flush my 849 down the toilet than buy a Samsung dishwasher. Purchased a new GE today. I am going to use the Samsung for target practice.

After reading the articles on here I realize I am not alone in realizing my high end dishwasher is a piece of expensive junk. The only washing I got done was the washing that my bank account took. Barely had it a year and getting a non stop LE code. Pulled the unit out and there is no leak anywhere that I can find. I was silly and did not buy an extended warranty as I thought I bought a quality product, never again. I refuse to pay anyone to repair it and have it fail again. I will buy another one but I promise I will not buy anything with the name Samsung on any item. The joke on me is I replaced a working one that was noisy for this high end quiet one. Yup....cant hear any noise coming from it.

I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 20
I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 2017. At first, they were going to send out a tech to look at it since it completely just stopped working. My microwave is less than a year old and under warranty. After three days without a call from a tech to schedule an appointment to come fix it I called Samsung back. I explained that no one has come by or called about fixing my microwave. The customer service rep said they would contact the company about coming out to repair it. I also asked for the companys number. After still not hearing from them I called the company myself. No one answered so I left a message. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!

WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave 5 years ago. We have now been told, that the heating element part for our oven has been discontinued and not available. I called Samsungs recommended parts supplier and the part was not in stock. I called two reputable appliance repairs shops and they informed me that the part was discontinued by Samsung and not available. So after only 5 years, we need to purchase a new oven/range. It will not be a Samsung.

We paid over 3,600.00 for this piece of junk! I feel so stupid believing that they would stand by their products. We remodeled kitchen with ALL SAMSUNG!! Big mistake! The ice maker broke after a couple months. Two service calls and new ice maker installed and now it’s broken again. Had to go purchase countertop ice maker and use countless plastic ice cube trays!! Not what you’d think you’d have to do with this high priced appliance. I worked for GE for years and I should have went with GE or Hotpoint. Never again will I bring another SAMSUNG tagged appliance in my home! I think they should be forced to make these appliances work!! I be darn if I’m going to pay out another cent on this junk. I’ve tried contacting the executives up there but I guess they’re too busy to care about their customers. How crappy can you be? I’m tired of using steam or hairdryer to thaw this humongous clump of ice! I would like for Samsung to replace all my appliances that are defective but that’ll never happen. I hope this company goes out of business so others won’t get scammed out of thousands.

My Samsung 28 cu. ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, MODEL NUMBER: RF28HMEDBSR/AA, is used on a daily basis by my family of 5. I purchased this refrigerator in July of 2017 for roughly $3,000 from Home Depot. After 4 months of use the Ice Maker began to fail to produce ice. Failures consisted of total freeze up of system ice dispensing unit, water leaks out of ice holding tray down front of refrigerator. After making numerous calls and chats to Samsung and multiple defrost actions, Samsung sent out a repair person to replace ice maker. Today I contacted Samsung and communicated that service repair didnt resolve the issues of total freeze up and water leaks from ice machine. The Samsung Tech was helpful, but communicated that repair would be at my cost since warranty had just expired. Not cool since service didnt resolve the issue.

Wow. Look at all these reviews. Same **, different user. I have the same microwave that everyone is complaining about here. This microwave has always been noisy (really noisy) and the keypad hard to use. We bought it to replace a Kenmore microwave that was over 20 years old (like our fridge), but still working. Now, we are getting the common SE problem; no amount of beating, unplugging, cursing, or other trickery will coax it into working. I went with this one because it looked great with our Frigidaire cooktop and oven, and I did not care for the styling of the Frigidaire micro. What a crock! Appliances should last. The oven that gave up and had to be replaced was a Magic Chef from 1966. Show me an appliance from a contemporary manufacturer that lasts over 50 years these days. Not gonna happen. I did expect to get more than 2 years out of a $300 microwave, however. I lust the Samsung fridges, but I will have to get over it and see if Kenmore can provide one with the same features when I need that, because I will not be getting a Samsung. I have a phone (4 years old) that will need replacing soon, and the iPhone is looking pretty good. Now, I’m glad we went with another manufacturer for the recently purchased TV, judging from the tales of customer service listed on the site. We will try the panel repair tonight, but I am sure the Magnetron will bite it soon, according to the others. So it will be a matter of time before I have to purchase another microwave, not a Samsung this time, no matter how sexy it is.

I bought a Samsung fridge from Sears in Nov. 2012. Had numerous problems, quit making ice, wont freeze ice cream. Called repair. They came, did $900.00 worth of work, replaced Motherboard. 2 weeks later, fridge defrosted every day and started leaving frost on everything in fridge. All my ice cream melted. In March 2013, they brought me a new fridge. Immediately started having trouble - ice stuck in door, melted run down door, constant wet floor. Ice cream melted. Change filter light came on. Changed filter, light wont go off. Ice maker quit making ice. Panel will not change options. Today, 5-21-14, MOTHERBOARD OUT. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. NEVER AGAIN.

Got fed up with having to take the back panel off the freezer to de-ice the fan and eventually all the coils. It got to the point where we were having to do this every couple months with a fridge that was less than 5 years old. Had issues with a TV, that ended up getting replaced by the store - NOT Samsung. Now getting an --SE-- error on the over the range microwave (manufactured Feb 2010). Unfortunately the house we bought exactly 1 year ago has all Samsung appliances that were manufactured in 2010. Of course our home warranty just expired - wondering how long before well have to replace every single appliance in the kitchen. Guessing in will likely be in the next year. Their products are cheaply made and not made to last. Silly me, thinking appliances should last more than 5 years... Will NEVER buy another Samsung! EVER!!

I purchased the refrigerator (model RS261MD) on 10-27-10. It was delivered on 12-1-10. On 7-25-2011, Sears Home Services repaired icemaker. It is now 7-4-2013 and the icemaker again threw ice all over the kitchen for the second time. We are a senior couple and the unit has always been taken care of. I have talked to 3 other people with the same refrigerator and same problem. Samsung needs to be held responsible for the products that do not work. But as usual, these companies get away with doing nothing. I am writing a letter to Sears where I purchased the unit. Thank goodness, I purchased the warranty. If not with this repair call, I would be out approximately $500. Shame on Samsung I will never purchase anything with their name on it.

Heard grinding noise after 20 months of owning DMT800. I quickly opened the dishwasher door and got my phone and video recorded the sound when I restarted the dishwasher for the repairman. ALWAYS rinsed dishes before putting in dishwasher so I knew that it was not from food but sounded like plastic grinding. Thankfully I purchased 4 year contract with Lowes because Samsung warranty ran out as of 3/04/2013. Repairman said pump. Pump has plastic fins also so they break easy also. So the pump is being replaced. In my quest to find out why the grinding noise I noticed the plastic clips missing from the adjustable top rack holder (basket adjuster assembly). I went on the internet to find this issue was a VERY common issue. I figure that was the noise. Pump has come waiting for service. Pump is $217.00. Basket Adjuster Assembly Left & right Set $35.00 not sure if it will be covered by Lowes will find out. However, if not I will purchase and replace myself & also use wire ties that are industrial strength and can withstand heat to help support. Thinking of using an epoxy for hot water also to support. I do not want the pump to take a beating again because of Samsungs poor design. I did call Samsung and they claim that they have never had an issue or call (LOL), it was on me because I was out of warranty. Too bad for Samsung because I am in need of a refrigerator and front load washer and am very leery of their appliances with the attitude that I got. They would not even comp me the newly designed brackets or give me the parts number for the top shelf even though it was their poor design. If anyone is looking to start a Class Action Lawsuit on this product I am in. I just may contact an attorney myself and see if he would like to take them on. Too many customers with issues not to start one. Will also make sure I warn everyone of my friends on Facebook and ask them to pass it on and we all know how those numbers can go. Bottom line? Dont mess with a woman and her appliances, it will be trouble? Consequences? We will see what Lowes has to say and see if they may have some pull with Samsung as a dealer to get results. Got to follow every path I can to get results. Samsung may not like it but they just may meet a woman/mom with teeth that bite. :)

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.

The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator (no ice dispenser) a few years ago (It was built in 2011). We began to have problems with water/ice buildup under the cold storage tray since last Fall. We thought we must have spilled water in the refrigerator. It kept happening with increasing frequency. It became a weekly process to remove the cold storage tray and remove an inch of ice and water from the bottom of the refrigerator. It then became necessary to remove the water twice a week to prevent water from spilling out of the refrigerator all over the floor. Several members of my family started getting sick with what we thought was the stomach bug.We noticed that the refrigerator did not seem to be very cold although the temperature stated it was 34 degree until one night the temperature reading said 58 degrees! I called a repairman who told me the panel in the back was probably frozen and we would need to unplug the unit and wait at least 24 hours for the back panel to defrost. We began the process of throwing out food and found several moldy containers. We realized this was most likely the reason we were getting sick! We were being poisoned by our refrigerator! We immediately decided to throw it out and purchase another one! Having a refrigerator for only a few years and to have this happen, I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We purchased a Samsung glass top stove. Yesterday, as a saucepan simmered on the front, left burner the glass over the right rear burner exploded. I had purchased an extended warranty at the time of purchase, so I contacted HH Gregg. The service people came but could not say why the glass broke, so they ordered a new glass top. Since they found nothing wrong with the stove, is it going to happen again. It was fortunate - no one was injured.

We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.

I purchased 4 Samsung appliances for my kitchen and had to repair 3 out of the 4. But by far, the stove has been the worst. Since the beginning, the stove would not keep the set temperature. I would preheat it, it would hit the set temperature and then begin declining after about 5 minutes. Significantly declining- continuously dropping. I had to have a repair person out 3 times to fix it- which meant I had to wait at home 4 hours each time. I was promised a refund 3 different times when they deemed it irreparable. I would be waiting for my refund so I could purchase a different (not Samsung) oven and would call them back only to be told that my refund had been denied (even after receiving refund acceptance texts) for various reasons. They never contacted me to tell me that it had been denied- just left me waiting. Each time, I was asked to resend a different document (receipt, picture of serial number, etc) that I had already sent them previously. Each time I called (a total of 6 times), I had to wait on hold for at least an hour. I would be promised, promised, promised that they would take care of me and then nothing. The last customer service representative I had even refused to read documentation of my experience to explain my frustration. So...the product is faulty and customer service is lacking. Stay far, far away from Samsung appliances. Hopefully, you will learn from my mistake.

Samsung should be ashamed of theirselves for trying to pass off such an awful product. Spent 100,000.00 on a downstairs remodel. Picked out the Samsung fridge (model RF23M8590SG/AA). Had the cabinets made to fit. The repair guys are here because it only makes 2 cups of ice an hour. Its not broke... That is all it makes. Bought a top of the line fridge that Best Buy sold me. What a piece of crap. I spent over 9000.00 at Pacific Sales that works out of best buy in Laguna Hills. Shame on them for selling this crappy product. Samsung repair bus said that this is their day. Telling Samsung owners bad news. And they told me my appointment was at 10:00... Its 2:07.

The ice is unusable due to a horrific taste. There is no internal filter so we installed an external one. No difference in the horrible taste. Also, since hooking up the water line we have moisture in both of the slide out drawers above the freezer, ruining the produce. Would never recommend this refrigerator.

I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product because they have a 1 year warranty. Hurray for them, everyone has a 1 yr warranty. The companies that really support their products are the ones that recognize when 2 major components on an expensive refrigerator go out that they should be responsible for fixing it.We had the ice maker and the evaporator fan motor go out on our 2 1/2 yr. old refrigerator. Samsung will do nothing but send a repairman to diagnose it but not pay to fix it. All the customer service people can do is read their policy of You are outside of the 1 year warranty. Their phone message while you wait for an hour keeps saying that they pride themselves if in their customer service. They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE because they dont allow their management to look at a case and make a decision based on the situation. All they can do is keep telling you, You are outside of your warranty. I have dealt with much better companies that will truly support their products and fix a major issue even if it outside the warranty because they know their product should be better than that.

I have an 8-year-old $2000 brushed aluminum Samsung refrigerator. Recently I noticed that it was not cooling properly so I called Samsung, gave all product info, and was referred to a repair facility (Cyberworld in Norcross, Ga). The Samsung tech who came to diagnose problem informed me that my fridge was too old to fix and that I should just buy a new one. I was charged a $95 diagnostic fee, even though the tech did nothing except open the fridge and tell me it wasnt worth fixing.I called Samsung on 9/1 (more than 3 weeks ago) and have called back every business day since then to get some sort of customer service. Each Samsung rep tells me something different. I ask names and employee numbers, take notes on each conversation, and all calls are supposedly recorded. Yet the Samsung rep who takes my call NEVER knows anything, always tells me that my claim is being escalated, and I will receive a call back from supervisor within 24-48 hours. How many calls have I received during this 3-week period? Zero, zilch, nada... NOT ONE!!! I am done with shoddy Samsung products. I am done with appallingly bad Samsung customer service. I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. So, I called Sum Service Company, which is the representative of Samsung in Iran, but no one was responsible for the problems! Once again, I had called the Sum service more than 50 times. After one month, Sum Service Company replaced our refrigerator with a new one. But the new one has the same problem - the water freezing unit still does not operate. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. In the last two months, this issue affected me both mentally and financially. I request you to advise the Sum Service Company about my problem as soon as possible. We purchased our Samsung refrigerator, model # RFG238AARS on May 28, 2012. Glad we did not purchase any other Samsung appliances since. This one has been a frequent headache. In the beginning we were able to get many things fixed under warranty. We did not purchase the extended warranty. If a product is good, one should not be necessary. We have frost all through the freezer. This problem occurred during the first year of owning it and was fixed. A refrigerator that costs over $3,000 should last longer than 3 years. We also have rust in the tray under the water and ice dispenser. I thought stainless did not rust. I will never buy any appliance from Samsung again. I did call Lowes to let them know how disappointed we are with a product they carry. I wish I had seen and read the reviews I have just read of other peoples experiences with the Samsung refrigerator. We liked that it was cabinet depth and made ice in 2 places, in the door and in the freezer section. Samsung should stick with what they know and they do not know how to produce a quality refrigerator that is worth what we paid. Samsung should reimburse at least half of what we paid for this refrigerator.

Darn thing runs for over 2 hours and the dishes dont come out very clean. We have to prewash them which is a real bummer. UNCLEAN stuff collects under the door frame at the bottom of the washer which needs to be wiped off. It was black like mold. This is a box that is supposed to clean and stay clean and it isnt. Id expect the company recall these units as they are not healthy. We paid a lot of money for this poorly designed machine and I am thinking about taking it back to Best buy whom I bought it from. I bought the French Door Fridge 18 months ago. I love the look. I love the storage space. Hate the knocking although that has improved a great deal after six months, and after they suggested I switch the Ice button to off - since I dont use it. It still Pops, Snapples and Cracks a bit but that is probably normal for most refrigerators. My main beef is the crisper drawers. Rather than be just one piece, the front of the crisper comes off to enable cleaning in the crack where the pieces join. (If it was only one piece, there would be no cracks to accumulate food bits.) Why they decided to build a crisper that needs to be disassembled and reassembled I cant fathom. Anyway, one needs a screwdriver to pry open the thin plastic latches that keep it together. You guessed it! I broke one side of one of the latches and now I need to use bother hands when I pull it out to make sure I dont break the hinge on the other side. Normally, I would just buy a new drawer. Samsung uses independent companies to sell their parts. The price? $120 CDN!!! I thanked them and went out and bought plastic Glue. And as I write this, I think I will fill the crack with plastic glue too. I wished this had happened two weeks ago before I bought a Samsung Range and Dishwasher.

Own two Samsung refrigerators, one in FL one in NJ, both have continuous freeze problems. Very unfortunate, as I also own Samsung ranges (electric & gas) as well as 2 stainless dishwashers, with no problems. The larger refrigerator 4 doors, rf4287HARS, freezes up below the freezer drawer, while the 3 door model freezes up below the vegetable & meat drawers. We bought a Samsung RF32FMQDBSR in April of 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. It stops working periodically and then may restart from 1-5 days later. We have had numerous service calls, one of which including replacing the ice maker to get updated software. The software change had basically no effect on the poor operation. This is a big (32 cu ft) 4-door unit that was very expensive. The ice maker design is very poor. The cooling and defrosting within the ice maker is deficient. The typical recommendation from service technicians is to turn the whole refrigerator off for 24+ hours and let it warm up and melt out completely. The ice drawer is very difficult to remove and sometimes cannot be put back in when it is frozen up. THIS IS A BAD DESIGN, and is not going to work correctly no matter how often it is serviced. Even when it is working, water drips from the ice spout and on the inside of the unit. You will rue the day you purchased a Samsung if you get one of these.

I cannot believe our expensive French door refrigerator (purchased from Home Depot in November 2014) has disappointed me so much. In common with so many of the reviews, we have no ice maker. It took over a month to get an official Samsung repair person to come and his verdict is that he knew exactly what the problem was, had seen it in so many other of the same model refrigerators and quoted me $800 to repair, and said I might as well get to know him, because it would break again. The Samsung French door refrigerator is about five years old. After about three years of service, the light in the freezer stopped working. The repair was postponed until now and after two visits, the service provider identified a broken wire in the center drawer that supplies power to the LED light for the freezer. Work for a few days and it started freezing up. Now it is out of warranty. Will cost a lot of money, the ice maker has been trouble since almost the beginning, I cleaned out the frozen ice out and now the ice is very wet, it drips water out of the ice maker out of the door and on the floor till it completely freezes up. We had to go out and purchase an portable ice maker so we can have ice.

Four years ago I purchased a Samsung Counter Depth Refrigerator. Last year the refrigerator quit, the repairman said the entire back was frozen. We surmised it was due to the ice maker being housed in the refrigerator (not the freezer), we defrosted it and I quit using the ice maker and turned it off. We use a countertop ice maker now. But lo and behold, it has done it again. This time I contacted Samsung who referred me to an authorized Repair person who ordered the parts to repair the refrigerator. It’s been a month now and I AM STILL WAITING!!!

Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP, Serial # JJ054GBZ400358B, and date
Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP, Serial # JJ054GBZ400358B, and date of purchase: 04-30-2010. On 3-21-12 on line chat with Samsung: I am having a problem with the middle vent holes inside of the back of the refrigerator frozen with ice. Also, the bottom of the inside of the refrigerator is full of water. I had the same problem back in September and I defrosted the vent holes with a hair dryer (like the Samsung customer service rep told us to), and we wiped up all the water but now the same thing happened again! Eventually it fills up and leaks on the floor! I had a local repair tech that just became an authorized Samsung dealer but he didnt know what the problem was and he couldnt get through to Samsung. My wife and I are very upset that this is happening since it is only 1-1/2 years old and we spent $1,143.84 to purchase it! It already did cost me $85.00 for the repair guy to come out and he couldnt do anything. Even though the warranty has run out, we dont feel that we should have to pay to have this repaired. Now, it is making loud/soft humming noise and I cant get the temperature inside the refrigerator lower than 53 degrees! Also, I just cleaned out all the water sitting inside the bottom again under the cool select pantry we have to do it once a month! It was going to take a Samsung tech several days before they could come out so I called another local repairman and he came out the next day. He spent a lot of time at my home and did figure out what was wrong. The back panel inside was completely frozen up. He had to order (2) parts and come back and replaced a defective inside heating element and also a new fan motor assembly because it burnt out from trying to run while frozen. His total charges came to $314.82. The repair was made on 04-12-12.Last week, the middle vent holes started freezing up again. I defrosted it with a hair dryer (which is what a Samsung customer service rep told me to do way back when I first started having the problem), but it started freezing up again this week. I am going to call the repairman I had out and discuss it with him. I’m thinking that the refrigerator is either not going into a defrost cycle enough times or the inside heating element isn’t sufficient to do the job or Samsung is selling defective parts. I will let you know what happens and how much more it is going to cost me. This has been a frustrating, ongoing ordeal for both my wife and I. After spending so much money, we expected to not have something like this happen for many years!

I too have a Samsung refrigerator Model RF217ACWP French door, bottom freezer that drips water under the vegetable bins. Bought it in July 2012 and had the problem the first time just before the warranty expired. The repairman said that it is a common problem with this model. It was fixed under warranty but now a year later it does the same thing. Im sure it will cost a few hundred dollars to fix again but why should I put money every year into it. I too will never buy another Samsung product. Our 50 plasma TV started having problems 2 years after we bought it with no help from Samsung. They said that is why they encourage people to buy the extended warranty.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, Just because, I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the Cooling Door feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldnt have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. Its never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.It wasnt a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! Ive had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezers worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf. The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesnt pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! Im betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please dont consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.

We have a two year old french door model. The ice maker dispenser mechanism seems to get frosted up and stops dispensing cubes. When cubes are selected it wont allow the cubes to drop. It just drops small chunks, you can hear it grinding away. The crushed side works fine. We remove and empty the bin and allow the mechanism to dry out. After reinstalling the mechanism it frosts up within a couple of days. This just started about 4-5 months ago. There are no other frosting in the freezer. I really like this fridge because of the price point. Although I do have a couple of issues. First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. Thirdly I wish there was a way to either turn off the door open alarm or adjust the time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as a good starter fridge.

Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge wont cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good
Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge wont cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good looking fridge. We had a $300 fridge for 16 years that kept our food and beverages cold without a single problem, so I did not think it possible for a refrigerator to not do the very things it exists to do. But Samsung cracked that nut. Ice maker immediately made ice dam at back of drawer and froze the ice bucket in place. 5+ service calls on a brand-new fridge, never got it working. Tech said we could keep trying but it was a design flaw. Used cardboard and duct tape to seal it off. After almost 2 years fridge stopped cooling. Warm beer and spoiling milk and food. Temp on the door reads 34 degrees. Bought thermometer, steady 50 degrees. Tried all the fixes I could find online, no effect. Service call, cleaned compressor area. No effect. Read reviews: sounds like its a problem with coolant leak of the R600 coolant (2 different kinds of coolant for the 2 fridge compressors) which isnt sold in the US and is highly flammable, and will leak out again even if I replace it with the other coolant called R134A. Finding and fixing the leak means tearing out the guts.Fridge is so new and so expensive Im tempted to try to fix it. But I reviewed many posts -- it would be good money after bad. Looking for a free fridge on Craigslist. Consumer Reports highly recommended this fridge when I bought it. But it is a complete POS. Dont buy a Samsung anything. Their fridges dont refrigerate and their phones explode.

Turned on the broiler element on my Samsung oven and less than 5 min later there was an explosion. You could see blue electricity arcing through. We quickly shut it off, the kitchen filled with smoke, and when we looked the element had exploded and broken. There were burn marks where the electricity hit in the corner. Samsung after dealing with them for two months has offered us $200. The repair person they had come out said it’s extremely unusual and not repairable. I’m pissed.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

Samsung RF267AERS - We have the same problem countless others have had: water/ice pooling under and behind the deli and fresh food bins, as a result of the drain tube freezing up and not allowing proper drainage to the pan somewhere below. Samsung is staffed by a bunch of ignorant, talking heads who will tell you theyve never heard of this problem. If youre out of warranty (our unit is in the 3-4 year range), they will offer you something called Rescue Repair for $400 (at least, thats what they quoted us). This would be a great class action suit for a law firm because there are so many people who would love to join. Im very disappointed with customer service in America and these obvious issues of quality control/manufacturing defect should not be ignored by the manufacturer. Samsung will no longer be a consideration for future appliance purchases.

I purchased a Samsung side by side with ice maker less than two years ago. It went out on Oct 28. We have had a technician out twice. The second time he ordered parts which have been here for over a week. It is now Nov 20 and now they tell me they can’t have anyone come out until Dec 9. I have called numerous times to see if they could send someone out before Dec 9. The last time the technician was here over two weeks ago, he told us not to put much food in the fridge because it will just refreeze and go out. Samsung RS265TDBP broken 2 different ways in 2 years - On the surface, this is a great refrigerator. Its pretty, its very quiet, its energy efficient and the ice maker fits nicely in the door, giving you more useful space in the freezer.Unfortunately, despite the price tag, its of very inferior quality (and I’ve seen more of the insides of this fridge than I’ve ever wanted to). The ice maker broke just before the 2-year mark (about $80 to buy a new one and install it yourself, although stores have trouble keeping them in stock, they break so fast) and not long after I got that done, the fridge starts making ugly noises, and then gets warm, above 55 degrees (freezer is still ice cold). I took the refrigerator cooling unit apart and removed huge chunks of ice to get it going again. But the refrigerator seems to be permanently messed up now (common problem if you Google, Samsung refrigerator not staying cold) and it wont get below about 44 degrees in the fridge.Im abandoning this $1,200 piece of junk after barely 2 years of service and buying a refrigerator from a reputable brand. I cant see spending another dime on it because research (and personal experience) seems to show that if I pay to fix it, it will probably just break again down the line.

Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!
