5E code came up. I watched several videos and read several instructions for accessing the control panel on 9207 Samsung microwaves, but the instructions are for control panels located on the main chassis, not on the bottom of the door where it is on an actual 9207. There seems no way of getting into the door to the control panel without cracking the seal on the glass or damaging the stainless steel guard that runs along the bottom front of the door. Any thoughts, any theories? I hope that the pictures help some. In #4 you can see that there were two silver tabs on the leading edge of the door for the front bottom steel strip to hook onto, but pulling those tabs didnt release the strip to gain access to the control panel.
After the first year, the fan motor started squeaking very loudly. I read online about how everyone had the same problem, so I oiled the spindle and it helped for about 3-4 months. I finally had to replace the original fan, which was a cheap, plastic model. This year, the refrigerator would not keep the food cold. I had a repairman look and he said it was either the defrost sensor, the heater or the cpu board. I started with the defrost sensor and the appliance part guy said, Samsung! Oh God, how old? Three years, well, thats about the life of that. Its done. The sensor did not fix the problem, so instead of wasting more time and money gambling on either the heater or the cpu board, I am replacing this piece of junk. Every online board says the same thing, that this is an inferior product. I spent over $1,000 on this thing and it lasted me 3 lousy years. Now, I have to spend another $1,000 on a new refrigerator. Do you think I will ever recommend any Samsung products or purchase another one again in my lifetime? I will tell everyone I know to not buy Samsung. Every piece we looked at was plastic and low cost.
I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2020 from Home Depot. It was delivered in June of 2020. Just over a year old and its unusable. Temp readings shown on refrigerator are not the actual inside temps. Temps read normal but actual temp inside is 48+ in fridge section and 20+F in freezer. I had to throw out all of my food. Samsung has no tech in my area to look at it. Because of this they refuse to do anything about it. This is a known defect with Samsung refrigerators. They are not honoring the implied warranty. Parts are still under warranty. So without looking at it they are just saying its out of warranty. How do they know what part is causing the issue? It cant be out of warranty if you dont even know the cause. The ice maker seems to be the biggest issue. So now I sit here 2 weeks later with no refrigerator and no option of getting one anytime soon.Prices have almost doubled since I purchased this appliance. Not sure how hard it would even be to even get one with the shortage thats going on. Samsung has done nothing but play games over the last 2 weeks. I was offered nothing. No tech, no refund, and was told to find someone myself to look at it. Yet, if its not a certified Samsung tech I void the parts of the warranty that are left. If they cant find one in my area, how can I?A voicemail left yesterday says theyre trying to get a hold of me to get someone here and today I have a text from the same guy saying theres nothing they can do. So I wonder if it had been within the first year and it malfunctioned, how would a tech have magically appeared? If there isnt one now there couldnt have been 4 months ago either. Theres a class action lawsuit against them at this time. A FB group of 84,000 people complaining. It has made the news in several states. I would say they have a serious problem and theyre in no hurry to do right by their customers.
My two year old Samsung smh1816s suddenly quit working. When I press the cancel button for 8 seconds, it shows -SE-. I called Samsung to ask about the epidemic warranty and they said that my model number wasnt covered. It is obviously a problem with all Samsung microwaves! I am very disappointed with my product and service from Samsung!!!!!
We bought all new kitchen appliances (4) from Home Depot and they were delivered Feb. 2014 to our winter home in Florida. The dishwasher has been used under a couple of dozen times (only 2 of us) as we did not use the place much since then due to our schedules. Arrived in Florida this week and first time we tried, it failed. We got the HEAVY & the Smart Auto indications on it and nothing worked. Searching online we find that this issue is well-known and well-reported by a lot of folks and reading their comments makes us regret buying anything from Samsung. Contacting Samsung was beyond ridiculous.Justin ** | Samsung Electronics America | Social Media Support & Executive Customer Relations made these comments: ...there is no known issues with this particular model. Despite all sorts of homeowners and technical people knowing all about it? Really? And also, ...we would be unable to offer any accommodations. Nothing? That is all you got to say and all you wish to do? Really?I even sent this guy links to various review sites all describing their exact same pain and you are totally unaware? Really? Perhaps lift your head out of the sand might help? We could pay to fix it as some have, but as so many stated the repairs failed again and in some case again & again I feel the best action is to throw Samsung in the garbage pile where they belong and purchase a better and more reliable dishwasher. And now I fear the future as the range, the fridge and the microwave are also Samsung appliances. Why oh why did I buy Samsung? ARGH!!!
Unfortunately I purchased a Samsung dishwasher when it was first launched so consumer reviews were not available then. I wish I had the foresight of returning the dishwasher immediately during the first month of purchase because my dishwasher never thoroughly cleaned my dishes. I was so amused by the lights and buttons that I ignored the dishwashers failures. After numerous service calls to the vendor, the repairman decided to replace the unit. Shortly after however, the dishwasher completely broke down. I wish we could make Samsung accountable for what they know to be a poorly produced and designed product.
Purchased a new Samsung oven, dishwasher and fridge combo from Best Buy. Within 4 months of owning the oven, used very little, the oven started having serious issues. The oven would take forever to heat up, have to put it on 500 degrees to get it to heat up to 350 degrees. When you opened the door to put anything in the oven it dropped about 200 degrees. Have to wait for it to heat up again. In the middle of baking time, the oven would drop its temperature. Other times it would heat above whatever you place the oven temp on. Went to Best Buy, they had to call Samsung. Was going to be on hold for over a half hour so left and placed the called myself. When I finally got a hold of Samsung, they said they had never heard of anything like this before happening. They sent out a tech. The tech determined the whole motherboard needed replaced. Three weeks later the motherboard arrived and a tech came out and installed. Havent had problems since however for the oven only being a few months old the motherboard should not have failed. The fridge is very loud and the freezer causes freezer burn on everything. I am glad that Samsung had no issues sending someone out to repair it at no charge however they need to look more into what is causing the issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving dinner!
Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago. Ice maker malfunctioned. Samsung seemed familiar with the problem. The repairman mentioned a design flaw with regard to the small fan. They did quickly repair the problem for hundreds of dollars. It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.
Poorly Made! Then kitchen is 1 month over warranty. Already the bottom metal strip of the oven door is coming off. It was actually glue and the glue is coming off. Very cheaply made. I called and they said to fix its $175.00. I had my last kitchen stove from GE for 13 yrs and never ever had an issue. Will NOT ever buy Samsung again. Very poor craftsmanship.
First repairman came out and said defroster on fridge was frozen up. Had to leave it open for 12 hours. Week later started leaking under filter. Now this time still leaking under filter again, repairman said had to order a part that goes behind filter. We will see, what happens next. Not a good choice for a fridge.
Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.
I am on my 3rd Samsung appliance that has gone out or died. They are all 3 1/2 years old. First the refrigerator, then the washer and now the microwave. We bought all our appliances when remodeling. The last episode with the washer just about finished us off. The repair person said it would cost too much to fix so we should think about buying a new one, which we did. Now the microwave? I am over Samsung. Done.
Model NE59M4310SS. Purchased my stove on May 16, 2019. Stove was delivered June 1, 2019. Only used oven once and the cook top a couple of times. One week later today, the oven and cooktop are not working!!!! The clock is okay so I know that the power is not the issue. I tried several times to troubleshoot to no effect. They cant send a tech out because its the weekend of course. Shame on Samsung for selling me a factory reject. I will never purchase anything Samsung ever again. Buyers note that model number and stay away from it.
Excellent value for the money and love the egg holder, extra-large for double pack eggs. The other draws are large also. Very happy!! Also if you have a whole house filter for your home you do not need a filter for the refrigerator saving you money.
I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. I am disappointed at Samsung - such a big company makes a good cell phone and tablet like Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, make a bad dishwasher. Why do not let them stay away from this business and let Whirlpool do the appliance. I will never buy Samsung appliance at all...
Samsung Dishwasher DW80K Series - Does not get the dishes clean. Has too many functions, not user friendly. Stacking dishes in this product is a challenge at best. All around Awful Product. I wouldnt even recommend this product for the Land Fill!!! It saddens me that I have to give them a star just to post my dissatisfaction.
Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS Stainless - Whatever you do, purchase the extended warranty. I did and am happy about spending the extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty. I feel electricity and hear a buzzing when I touch the handle on the side where the ice maker is on. Service Repair is coming out to look at it for free. Ive tried looking online for any recalls or class action cases, and for some reason Im not having much luck. It was purchased at Home Depot, but that may not make a difference. It hurts at first to spend an extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty but think after spending 2,000 for the darn thing! I would advise a warranty for at least 5 years. I believe it will be a good investment.
We bought this microwave (SMH9151STE) in December 2010. Today (January 2013), 25 months into ownership, it just died. It powered off when I hit the Start button and no longer works. I told the Samsung rep that there seems to be a lot of complaints regarding this microwave online and that they should stand behind their products. They told me, Sorry, its only a 1-year warranty. What a waste of $175! I refuse to spend $150 to get it repaired. Id rather go spend $300 for a highly rated Maytag microwave.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I had an extended warranty on the fridge. During the 5 years of the warranty I had to have it repaired 6 times for the same problem which is the back keeps freezing up and will not defrost. For the last 2 years I bought another warranty from Sears. They came out every 4 months to defrost and replace the fan and the defrost sensor. I called Samsung and they refuse to give me my money back for the unit. The customer service is horrible. So if you have any sense DONT BUY. I paid $1,995 for this model. Now they are stating they will only give me $427.00 because it has depreciated in the seven years of owning it.
The door in door refrigerator I purchased had multiple icemaker problems so after multiple calls to the service center they arranged to pickup that unit and replaced it with a brand new unit. Thank you.
We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!
It is true Counter-Depth which is very attractive. Easy to see/reach everything due to this design, and the French Doors. Easy use of freezer as it is a Drawer. The handles are large so easy to grasp and clean.
Our two year old Samsung NE58F9500SS began sending strong fumes of burning plastic upon oven preheat. Repeated email and phone contact with customer service about this FIRE HAZARD was a test of patience. Each contact told us to wait 24 more hours and we would be contacted by someone. Days passed. No oven. No stove. Wires attached to the back of the oven, melted. Plastic on the terminal block melted. This is DANGEROUS and deserves immediate attention. Do NOT buy Samsung. Thats my advice. We paid $1,533.35 for this poor workmanship and poor service.
Worst stove range, and worse part is that Samsung wont do anything, the grills are made out of cheap materials and Samsung knows but they try and make you believe that you dont know how to clean them, plus the grease bakes on the grill and wont clean.
I spent a fortune on this dud of a refrigerator. If Samsung would spend a little more attention on their refrigerators and not their TVs, this would not be happening. I have had to throw out food all the time. To make matters worse I am a Type 1 Diabetic and all my insulin went bad twice. It cost a fortune to replace. I cant afford to buy a refrigerator and I have to drive 20 min from my home where I have my insulin and food, thankfully to a good friend.
Purchased Samsung refrigerator and microwave when we remodeled the kitchen in 2010. The microwave died last summer (2013) and we replaced with another brand. Thats another story. THIS story is about the above listed refrigerator. Beginning in Sept. of 2013 we have contacted Samsung customer service 6 times about our fridge leaking water into the (right) vegetable drawer and under the drawers and freezing. 2 problems - the leak and, why is the water freezing when the fridge is set at 38 degrees? Freezing all veggies in the drawer.Service has to come from Cleveland as no company in the Akron area will touch Samsung appliances. That should have been our first clue! The last service call was 3/04/14 and yesterday, 3/08/14, we had more frozen water in and under the veggies drawers.Customer service persons have been very gracious and helpful. The repairmen that have come here have been courteous and have tried to help. But the definition of futility is doing the same thing over and over and over again, expecting different results. We have had the coils on the back wall replaced 3 times and thawed each time and the drain blown and, guess what? Same results. Were very, very tired of this problem. We have thrown out more food thats been ruined by sitting in ice water and its getting expensive. We have told everyone and anyone who will listen NOT to buy Samsung appliances as they are definitely inferior products. Just wish they would replace this defective appliance or compensate us monetarily in order that we can purchase a refrigerator that will work. Any suggestions anyone?
Cost about $2800. Pros: great energy savings, LED light, very well lighted inside and good use of space. Cons: The drawers are not seamless so food, spilled juices, spilled sauces flows into the seams and will NEVER come clean. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. The French doors do not open all the way so it is a real struggle pulling out the drawers and shelves. Recommendation: NEVER purchase a Samsung fridge... EVER AGAIN.
Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.
Three years ago we bought a Samsung fridge, oven and microwave. First the ice maker stopped working. The first two repair places we called would not work on Samsung. The 3rd guy came out for $90.00 to tell us the ice maker design is poorly designed and cheap. Samsung knows this. The new better designed one is $600.00!!! Two days later our stove stopped heating up. Just waiting for the microwave to stop working now. DONT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!
Samsung has got to be the WORST appliance manufacturer. We purchased all Samsung appliances, after our kitchen remodel. To date, we have had to replace the microwave, and now have to buy a new refrigerator. Both broke months after warranty.
Bought a side by side counter depth Samsung fridge in May 2014. In June 2015, the fridge and freezer stopped cooling. After THREE weeks of trying to get someone to come out, Samsung referred us to a 3rd place and they finally came. However, we had to get a copy of the original purchase receipt FIRST. Once the guy came out, looked at the fridge, he said it was a coolant leak and the fan was installed backwards. Which really meant the whole thing was burned up. He told us a service tech would be out to fix it in a week. 2 weeks later, we find out that company doesnt fix that problem. So its back to Samsung! We still dont have a fridge and no scheduled spot for it to be fixed. So frustrating. Samsung is junk and they have horrible service. Just because it has a 10 year warranty doesnt mean jack!
Samsung ref. model RF263TEASR/AA - Is there any other way to fix a noisy cooling fan aside from defrosting? We bought this ref. a year ago and we noticed that after a year the annoying sound started. Did follow the procedure from people having the same problem but after 2-3 weeks the same problem occurred. WHAT IS REALLY PROBLEM HERE SAMSUNG PEOPLE??? Imagine one year old ref. Common. Show me the way. Sorry to say but your refrigerator is REALLY A BIG SUCKS.
If you find beating ice off the inside of your ice maker enjoyable, this is the fridge for you. At least once every two weeks youll find yourself with a butter knife chipping the ice away. And, dont quit until youve bloodied at least 2 knuckles. I mean who doesnt like a little blood in their ice? But wait, theres more! The water dispenser leaks constantly so you get a nice build up of water mineral in the catch basin. It really adds color to your fridge. I would go ice my knuckles now, but we dont have any ice... :(
Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasnt working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money. We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldnt be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months. When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning. When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.
It seems that we are not the only ones to experience water/ice machine problems. Our fridge is under two years old. It has always leaked out of the water dispenser and down the side door after dispensing ice. The water coming out is never cold. Last night I used the water dispenser and it got stuck on dispense. I tried to stop it by pulling/pushing the lever, but it continued to spill all over the floor. We had to quickly shut off the water behind it. It continues to leak and Samsung says this is not covered. Ridiculous. $2600 fridge breaks in less than two years and it is not under warranty??? Worst fridge ever! I hope that there is a recall on these components. They should not be doing this within the 5 years.
These are NOT good refrigerators. Have owned a French door Samsung for about 8 years now... Bought it at Lowes for a big price. Had trouble with the drain freezing up and leaking water all over the place, which luckily I was able to fix myself after much research. Now the circuit board is malfunctioning... Beeps constantly, and freezes your stuff in the fridge section... I have tried everything but calling a repairman... Pure unadulterated crap for the price paid. Im gonna toss it and call myself very lucky to be rid of it. Get yourself a GE or Whirlpool is my advice... Anything but this!
We purchased a 20 c.f. French door, bottom freezer, Samsung Model RF217ACWP refrigerator on August 11, 2013. It was delivered to us on August 14, 2013. We are not happy with the continuous obnoxious noises this refrigerator makes - a very high pitched noise, a rattling noise that gets progressively louder, and a noise like water running. It is constant noise any time this refrigerator cycles through whatever the cycle is at the time. The drawers in the freezer compartment are iced over all the time and have been since day one. This does not seem normal. On Oct. 11, 2013 we went to the Sears store where we purchased this refrigerator to discuss returning it. The salesman told us no problem since the refrigerator was so new but he had to call Customer Solutions to get it scheduled for pick up.Customer Solutions informed us that since it had been more than 30 days since the purchase, we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee unless we have a service technician look at the refrigerator, that this would be the way to avoid the restock fee. We have no intention of keeping this refrigerator and no interest in exchanging it for the same Samsung product. We wish to return it for a refund so that we can purchase a US made.It appears that Sears has recently (October 06, 2013) changed their return policy on appliances. At the time we purchased we were told that we had 60 days to return. On October 11, 2013 the salesman at Sears was very surprised to hear that Customer Solutions was requiring us to have a service technician look at this refrigerator to avoid a 15% re-stock fee. Seems that Sears can change their return policy and make it retroactive. We have read the many complaints concerning Samsung refrigerators, Sears, etc. We would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Samsung, Sears and anyone else selling this inferior product.
I purchased the side by side fridge. After 10 days, when I opened the door to the fridge, I would hear the fan motor slowing down. It was loud. I placed a service call to Sears (where I purchased it) and the serviceman said that I needed to empty the fridge and leave the doors open for two days so it could thaw. Apparently, it was frozen in the back. I did that and he came back the next week to install new parts. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday, the fan noise was back. I placed another service call. This time, I insisted on a replacement. Guess what, the replacement is making the same fan noise.
This is a French door refrigerator, with a bottom freezer (and a drawer within a drawer), plus a middle drawer thats perfect for snacks or things you want often. Water and ice are in the door and the water filter is at waist level for easy changing. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. The only thing I might change is the amount of ice that this fridge makes, but that is a trade off for the slim design of the ice maker, allowing more door storage. I love this refrigerator! Whats not to like?!
I got a Samsung range and it does not go against the wall. It has to sit 3 inches away from the wall because of how the gas valve is high. Messaged Samsung asking them if they could help because it is a hazard in my kitchen for the free back splash kit they offered by sending in your receipt of purchase which I did but because I did not buy it from a store and bought it from a review group they kept declining it over and over. They have the worst customer service. It was a waste of money. They did not care to help at all to solve my problem. I will no longer support Samsung or buy any more of their products and right now every appliance in my kitchen is a Samsung including my TV which will be no more will I buy again.
Our household consists of two adults. In August 2015, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher Model DW80J7550US for approximately $820 from the local Home Depot. It worked OK for six months, then would stop running toward the end of the cycle and display Error Code 3C: Pump Operation Check. At this point in the cycle, the water would stop draining out of the machine and just sit in the bottom of it. We restarted the machine at least 8 times, after resetting it by turning off the breaker, unplugging, etc. Nothing changed. We contacted Samsung, which sent a Samsung technician out to repair what was thought to be a defective pump. However, when the tech removed the machine from its installation site, the problem was a cracked frame in the front left corner (see attached photo), which put the whole door and sensors out of alignment, causing the error code. He wrote on the service form, Frame damaged. Not repairable. We observed this machine when it was delivered, and there was no damage to the frame. Nor was it damaged during installation. In searching, I believe, on this site, there was at least one other reviewer, who had this same problem. The materials and workmanship of this dishwasher frame are so poor and defective, that after six months of light/normal usage, the vibration of the machine causes the frame to crumble/crack. We contacted Home Depot to request that we be able to return it to the store where we bought it and get full credit to exchange for another dishwasher--non-Samsung. Home Depot says they are trying to get the technician to indicate that the damage was not caused by the consumer, but, rather, is due to faulty materials, so that Samsung will credit HD for the defective machine. The process, from what we can see, is moving very, very slowly. Like others, we were bit by falling for the name Samsung, assuming that the quality of the machine was high. So, after paying over $800 for a dishwasher that functioned only six months, due to poor manufacturing, we may be forced to buy another brand, from another dealer, if HD will not stand behind the quality of the products they sell. If HD does not take the Samsung back and allow us to exchange for a different brand, our confidence in ever purchasing anything again from HD will be totally gone. By the way, in the last year, with extensive remodeling of a new house, we have spent somewhere of $100K at HD. The least they could do, to keep us as a customer, would be to exchange the machine for us. Also, from what I have seen of the Samsung reviews, they should stop selling Samsung dishwashers completely.
We bought this double range in 2014. On Jan of 2017 we were moving the range to have a new floor put in. When the floor was done we moved the range back to where it was and plugged it in. When we did this it blew the breaker. We then shut off the electric and checked the range. We could smell smoke from the back of the range. We took the back of the power cover off and found the black plastic clamp that holds the wire to the power cord let go and the wires hit the cover and shorted out the range. I was told that there was nothing that could be done. I feel this is a serious safety issue and it could cause serious problems or fire. Will not buy another.
My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began having issues. They would send someone out but it would be 2 weeks. I told them of their health issues, my dad is a heart patient and diabetic and we really needed something pretty quick. I was also told from customer service you should always have a back up refrigerator. I asked, Who could afford two refrigerators, and where would you put two? The tone got worse and then I was just pretty much angered with his non-caring attitude. Not to mention that only very few technicians are certified to do a service call. I called Sears and they generously offered 3 days sooner. Very honest and tried to offer other options to try such as unplugging the unit for 2 days in case it had froze up, before spending money my parents did not have on their fixed income. We were never told to try anything from Samsung, to maybe save the expense to a sick, elderly couple. I was told that the minimum amount would be around $685.00 for the visit. Needless to say, we took his advice to unplug the unit for 2 days then restart. At least Sears tried to offer an alternative for us. Have lost food/beverages twice, still no refrigerator/ice maker, etc. Enough air flowing to not be eligible for warranty for a big part such as compressor, etc. Will probably be replaced ASAP b/c that is more than half the price it cost to begin with. After two weeks, they are living from a dorm size refrigerator and a Yeti cooler for ice. With their customer service, me along with my parents are done with Samsung. Sad to say on reviews on this particular type, they are messing up at about the 13-month mark. There is no excuse for a nice, new refrigerator to tear up with barely over a year of use. Never again! Very frustrated, not to mention the anguish my parents are going through. When you buy something that expensive, you expect it to last a while. I have had my Kenmore side-by-side for almost 20 years so we have learned a lesson. But the main lesson is all about the attitude you give the person on the other end of that phone. Try to be a little sympathetic to an elderly persons situation Samsung! Going to try to find another one after their check comes the first of the month. Another several days.
My first dishwasher broke 4 months after it was installed. I spent 3 months waiting for it to get fixed or replaced. Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldnt get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.
Had repairman look at 3 year old refrigerator. He said they had huge problems. Air leaking from frigerator into ice maker. Needs food grade silicone to seal. He said to call Samsung. Did that twice. The dont give a **. Out of warranty. Basically go to hell. Had a problem with three year old Samsung tv. Trash. Basically go to hell.
Our series model has a long history of consumer complaints on ice build up because of a faulty defrost design. We cannot fill the lower freezer beyond 50% capacity. The interior wall shelves and plastics easily break. The interior compartments are cheap.
My fridge is not working properly, not cooling. And I registered a complaint on Customer Care, but they are not responding.
I purchased the most expensive dishwasher at the store, it was a Samsung DW990044dBA. Over a $1000.00. I bought the best hoping for good results and little hassle. The appliance worked for 4 days only. There was over 4 service calls in 2 months, and lots of correspondence with Samsung, and my dishwasher hasnt worked for much of the two months waiting on service repair times. There were several issues with the top rack sticking, leaking through the door, and breaking down. My countertop has been damaged from steam leaking through the door, my floor has been damaged from leaking on the floor. Samsung wont compensate me at this time and have denied my request for a new dishwasher. Samsung is complicated and confusing to deal with as their departments dont talk or share files. A person needs to be good with a computer, and verbally strong to deal with this company as they require lots of communication, pictures, calls, time and patience. I wish I had never bought this product.
I purchased in January, 2015 but had to wait 7 weeks for special order of white. This brand at the time came recommended. Had this fridge 3 days, the noise drove me crazy, loud popping, crackling & sounded like you were in turbine factory. The store replaced this one is Worse!! Negotiating for another brand, never buy Samsung French Door twin cooling.
This very expensive 4 French door refrigerator (over $3000) quit cooling within 2 years of purchase, and Samsung is non-responsive. My story sounds like the same thing others are experiencing. Samsung supposedly scheduled service with an independent contractor to come look at it and he never showed up because no one ever told him -- they dropped the ball completely. They cant be rescheduled for at least 2 more weeks. I have been receiving the same line, (its not my department) from Samsung for every call I make. Meanwhile, my food is spoiling and I am hoping we dont end up with food poisoning from improperly cooled food. I paid too much for this one to run out and buy another. So we use. It is apparent that once Samsung gets your money they do not care. In my experience, this is a terrible product and bad company that should stick to making televisions -- not refrigerators.
We have had our range two weeks. We are very careful when we cook, we do not place anything on the range other than a pot or pan we are cooking with. We do not slide pots and pans across the glass top. Regardless of being extra careful, there are already small scratches in the glass. I dont understand why this glass top is so delicate. We had a Kitchenaid glass top before this. Lasted years without mars on the glass. Very disappointed in the quality of the glass. Otherwise, we have no issues with the range...yet. It cooks and bakes as intended thus far.
Model RF217ACWP. Bought at Best Buy 2 1/2 years ago. Same water in crisper problems experienced by other Samsung owners. But, also, the paint is peeling off all three the door handles big time! Of course, Best Buy has never heard of anything like this before. Also, Samsung said this was the first they had ever had such a problem and were surprised at our photos. Of course, it is a cosmetic issue and they will do nothing. We are told to purchase new handles and were referred to a parts company who claim they are not part of Samsung. They havent told us the cost. We are thinking removing the handles and taking them to an auto body repair shop to be repainted. Think that will work? It seems with all of the lawyers out there, someone would do a class action against Samsung since it is apparent they are selling a product with a known defect -- the water, freezing issue. Hey, where are the lawyers? Count me with those who WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY SAMSUNG!!!
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RH22H8010SR July 2015. After only 2 weeks, we had a brief power outage. When power came back onthe refrigerator panel was flashing. It immediately started warming-up even though power was restored. By the time we saw the problem, the temperature in the refrigerator had already gotten into a warm state and the freezer was beginning to thaw. We could not press any of the settings to restore refrigeration. Only after totally removing power on our wall outlet was the refrigerator able to resume normal operation. The problem, of course, is--- what if we werent home to catch the problem? On telephoning Samsung Warranty Service with our concern, we were told that this is a FEATURE - NOT A FLAW. As of this writing we have no solution to our concern. Samsung seems to have chosen to ignore the problem; and now were stuck with the problem of having food spoil in the refrigerator while were away.
We have the same issue with Samsung refrigerator model RS263TDRS/XAA purchased in 2011. The fan makes loud noise and stops as soon as door is opened. The icing inside the casing is leading to this fan noise. Samsung sucks. Add me to lawsuit. Please send confirmation when done and send updates on the lawsuit. Thank you.
RF260BEAEBC Side by side refrigerator with bottom freezer - Upper cabinet fan started hitting ice accumulations. Samsung would not cover even however Home Depot stood up and fixed that. There is water standing under the crisper tray ice now, another ice accumulation problem. DO not buy Samsung Refrigerators. Service and product from Samsung is zero.
We purchased a beautiful Samsung refrigerator that died - literally died within 45 days of purchase. Samsung has refused to replace the product and instead requested a repair service evaluate the refrigerator. Repair service RECOMMENDED by Samsung reports this is TOO BIG a job for them and have recommended replacement. Samsung REFUSES to do this. What business does NOT stand by their product. We have now waited two weeks for action by them - no response. We DO NOT recommend this company! AWFUL customer service!!!
We had previously purchased a fridge, and loved it when we bought a new house, we got a new stove and microwave. The microwave started not working at Thanksgiving, less than a year after purchase. Samsung gave us the runaround about it being out of warranty. First they tried to claim the warranty started when they made it, then after several weeks and two repairmen not coming because of the warranty issue, and then Thanksgiving we had NO microwave. We called and complained, they said it was under warranty, but when a different repairman calls, they say it is not. This time, because when they made the ticket it was after the purchase date. We had already purchased an extended warranty, they wanted proof. Samsung has given us the runaround for more than 3 weeks now!!! Their repair service SUCKS!!! Their products are ok at best.
I have never replaced all my kitchen appliances before..my contract had just finished his kitchen and went with Samsung..I bought a refrigerator, a dishwasher and an stove..that purchase was probably the best MONEY I have spent..I love my KITCHEN.
I bought new Samsung refrigerator 192 ltr and just used 7 days. Now got a compressor problem.
This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.
I just read all the terrible reviews on Samsung refrigerators and realize I am not alone. After a year my unit started filling up with water and ice in both bins. Upon removing the bins the bottom (under the bins) was covered with water and MOLD! When called, Samsung denied every having issues with their brand. Have had a service man come twice $$$, to no avail. Ive decided Ill keep this lousy refrigerator for a few more months and DUMP it. Its not worth investing another penny! I thought about purchasing an appliance warranty, but I read the reviews and the too were awful! Whats the consumer to do?
My wife bought her new Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in East Peoria Illinois, (bought 1/3/14 delivered the week of the 13th same month). She was very pleased with them and their delivery personal, very professional. What I can not stand is the very loud banging noise that comes from time to time from this unit. The unit is just over 30 days old and I finally got her to call about this loud noise that continues to come from the unit. From what I could tell from her conversation is, that its suppose to be normal, and if someone does come out well have to pay a service call. I have never heard of having to pay for a service call on anything that is only 30 plus days old. They convinced her to wait awhile since everything else seems to be ok since it is under warranty. At least she agreed with me to contact the sales person she bought it off of to get there thoughts. Unfortunately, they just happened to be off today. But after reading all these reviews, I dont feel to good about our chances. The one thing I can say is this, if the unit turns out to last for 20+ years like our Whirlpools did, I still would not recommend this product. I just can not stand the loud noises it continually makes, heck its so loud! Its made me jump on more than one occasion. I included no photos because my problem is with all the noise.
The refrigerator is not cooling and is reading 55 degrees. We have ice forming on the back wall of the fridge plus it looks like it is swelling. Now there looks to be mold on the rubber seal. We have called them and they came out & said it would cost 300.00 to fix... This fridge is only 2 yrs old & @ 1800.00, they should cover it. There are only the 2 of us using this thing. If a family of 4 would have bought it - would have only lasted a yr. Very, very bad product!!!
I bought a new Samsung fridge 5 years ago. The first day I had it, it would not cool. I called the store and they came the very next day and sent me a brand new in the box. It worked for awhile. However, the freezer never seemed to cool cold enough to freeze ice cream as well as pools of water under my cheese drawer in the fridge section. After many service calls and many repairs I just learned to deal with the issue. On year 5 my fridge completely died. I am extremely disappointed with my fridge and will never buy from Samsung again.
My husband and I purchased a side by side refrigerator from this company less than 4 years ago. The Motherboard has went on this refrigerator twice, we had it replace less than 7 months ago and now it has to be replaced again. This refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk ever. If you buy a product from this company dont expect them to stand behind their products whatsoever. They offer no help or solutions. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again in my lifetime. If any of you out there are thinking about it please do not purchase their products. Shame on them for making this kind of a product and not standing behind it. It will now be my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this company. I am not just starting here, I will be going much further with all of this. This company does not care at all about its customers and I think everyone should know this before purchasing anything from them again.
We bought the unit last mid-2012. But now, its not cooling enough. I noticed, ice is building up at the back of the panel (located inside the fridge). RS265TDRS.
DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG! I ignored all the bad reviews and now Im writing one. Had our Samsung electric range delivered around 1/15/2016. Cooked dinner the other night and noticed a small chip in the surface of the burner. Called Samsung and the woman said it was not covered by the one year warranty. She claims any chips or cracks in the surface are product damage and whether intentional or unintentional, its not covered. This is a manufacturers defect. Ive been using electric ranges my entire life and never had one crack from normal use. I use this range for 2 months and the surface cracks. No matter how you look at it, this is damage caused by a product defect. Luckily Lowes informed me I can return it. Moving on to another brand and will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.
I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. In November, 2011, just before Thanksgiving, the food side quit working, spoiling food and milk. I called Sears for repairs, about 5 times, getting the run around each time. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. Will they cooperate? **, I dont know, well see. I have the letter from the corporate offices requesting the local store to replace my refrigerator.
We bought our Samsung fridge Oct 2010 and it is now May 2014 and the repairman has been here twice now and the fridge (not freezer) has frozen over three times, once after the repair. The guy (not sent by Samsung) came out and for just over 400$ replaced the defrost sensor, cover, since it tore when he tried to take it off (still frozen) and another piece and now one month later it froze up the exact same way and now 274$ later, he is replacing the thermostat. That part is 178$ and the labor is 135$. The labor on this job is obscene. There is no one at Samsung that you can talk to and I hope they fail as a business and go under. They sell crap for a lot of money and they are not helpful AT ALL when their crap brakes.
I have had this refrigerator for approximately 1 year, I absolutely love it. I do not know the exact model but it has the freezer on top with an option to change the settings to allow the top to convert from freezer to normal refrigeration which is how I use mine for added space. I never hear it running, absolutely the quietest refrigerator I have ever owned. I have the darker charcoal looking finish, love it.
Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Our refrigerator is 6 months old and I noticed that a film appears in the bottom of our glasses when we use the ice and water from the refrigerator door. The film appears to float. I tried just using the water and then just getting a glass of ice and noticed the same film. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I have a RS265TDRS French door refrigerator now for 2.5 years. The cooling coils kept freezing up and it took 2 repairs costing $300 plus to fix the issue. Now the freezer is draining water into the lower part of the freezer and after a week water drains on the floor. Samsung will not warranty the defect and I will have to pay for the fix. And goodluck have a Samsung repair service center sending a representative out in a timely manner. After 3 days waiting for service, I called the service center (John Micheals) and was told yes they had a long backlog of service request. I called a local service company and had a repair service rep the next day.
I purchased the Samsung 24.5 cu. ft. Side by Side (RS25H5111SR). Retail is average of around $1600-$1800. I had to return it to the store after 30 days. Although it was functional as far as space, it not only hissed and popped at intervals, it also had a very loud and annoying gurgling sound that was very audible. It was making sounds about 90% of the time so this one had to go! Cant imagine why Samsung would even allow their name on this type of product. At least the store was cordial about returning the refrigerator and allowing a new purchase (with a different brand).
My first complaint with my fridge (RF217ACWP) is that the paint on the handles is peeling! I bought this (Samsung French Door Refrigerator) in 2012 and I called them in 2014 after warranty and told me they could not do anything that I would have to buy new ones, each one $230.00. Of course I didnt and they are still peeling!!! It looks like someone just took a hammer to it and chipped it off!! Also the 2nd complaint is freezing in refrigerator underneath vegetable drawers and water in the vegetable bins! Also, the ice maker is broken!! Just like everyone elses complaints! I hope something good comes out of the lawsuit for us consumers!!
My dishwasher has a lot of features with options that come in handy. A heavy scrub at high temperature is very good with greasy pans. A regular wash is also very good for just dishes, glasses and flatware. So far I have no complaints, it seems to do the job well.
We have used Samsung refrigerator for past 4 years. Now we are facing a coiling problem for last 3 months. We complained to customer care service center but they are not responding properly. 2 times they visit and cost 3000, still we are facing the same. Now they told we are not manufacturing the part required for your fridge, so we are not responsible for this. So here after I will not prefer or suggest any Samsung products in my life. So I suggest anyone get free service from Samsung or else dont preface Samsung products. They are looking only for cost not for customer satisfactions.
Ice maker in fridge circuit board shorted out and caused house fire. Lost everything in my home. Samsung rep came and investigated and took ice maker from fridge and said not the cause! Fire marshal reports said ice maker was cause. A service tech also said cause was fridge! You should Google Samsung icemaker fires and watch all the complaints.
Samsung Refrigerator RF31FMedbsr/aa - Nothing but problems with the ice maker. Have had it work on it once already. It freeze up and makes no ice. Too expensive of a product to recommend.
Samsung SMH2117S microwave - Samsung refused after various escalations to repair the SE- error code that made the OTR microwave go crazy. The fan initially kept turning itself on and off constantly, then would show the error code and die. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would briefly fix the issue, but then it just croaked for good. Just a few months out of warranty (of course), and now, for purely the principle, would join a CA lawsuit against Samsung despite the unlikely odds of that happening. Like most others here, we are adding Samsung (and Sony) to the list of god-awful businesses from which we will NEVER again purchase.
I purchased this product (Side by Side Show Case Refrigerator) in December thinking I was getting a good reliable product. Needless to say I had a problem with frost building up in the freezer in a so call frost free refrigerator. Samsung would continue to state that it was normal that seems to be their line they use so they do not have to replace. I had the problem right away. If they send someone out three times for the same thing policy is that they need to replace if cant repair. So if they cant replace it they will tell you its normal so they wont have to replace. I had another problem with the ice maker crushing the ice in cube mode. Of course I was told that this is normal too. I was able to get it replaced by Home Depot after having numerous contacts and pictures and technicians coming out. I was hoping that was going to be the last of my nightmare but that is not the case. The new replacement 2/23/2016 does the same thing. They replaced the hinges cause the door make a grinding noise. I was told to give it 3 weeks to settle. So far it still is making the same noise. Now with the frost in the freezer and the ice crunching ice in cube setting and now there is moisture building inside the containers in the fridge. Now from the reviews and my experience its going to be a unpleasant battle with Samsung not standing by their product. I would think twice about purchasing this product because if you have any problems you more then likely would have to deal with it. If Samsung know that these are known issues they should make it known to the consumers and if not then stand by their products.
We bought a Samsung 2 door refrigerator in May of 2013. The guarantee was up in May of 2015. Nine months later, the flap control which seals the left side door broke and no longer stays open while the door is open. As a result, one must open the right hand door in order to close the left door. I called the number on the inside of the fridge to speak to a Samsung rep. Of course, despite the relatively short time we were over the warranty, there was nothing he could do. He was not even able to provide a line on a replacement part! Fortunately, we had purchased an extended warranty through Lowes, the store we bought the fridge from, and the matter should be resolved without cost. While speaking to the rep. at Lowes, I was informed that this was unfortunately a very common fault with these fridges. I have never had a major appliance break down like this before after such a short period of time. I should think Samsung would wish to protect their good name with a total recall on this issue and replace the flaps with a more durable part if, indeed it is a common occurrence. The rep. at Samsung seemed to know exactly what my problem was as I was trying to describe it. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking to buy a new fridge to steer clear of Samsung. They should stick to making TVs!
Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.
I bet we havent used the dishwasher 10 times. We bought it before the condo was finished remodeling. It sat there until the builder could finish so the warranty is right at a year. Even tho we havent been in our condo a year. Its a beach condo so we are not here all the time. You literally have to slam the door to get it started. It washes for 2.58 hours according to the button on top. (If you can get it to run). It stops and starts. We have called Samsung did everything they suggested by unplugging it. Nothing they suggest works. Piece of junk Dont by Samsung dishwasher. Exactly why they dont have a better warranty. Youre just screwed.
Purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA french door fridge. 09/21/12 started having issues with the refrigerator. Coils freezing causing the twin cooling fans to hit the ice and make loud noises. It woke me up and was so loud I thought someone was breaking into my house. Of course it was just after the warranty expired and I paid them approx $150 to come out replace a Defrost Sensor, Evaporator Cover, and Drain Kit. The service guy called Samsung and strongly said they should pay for the parts (I felt he knew there are ongoing issues with their fridges and felt bad for me) and they did (parts are cheap). The other issue was the ice maker. The unit is not sealed properly causing warm air from the fridge to enter the ice maker and it freezes up eventually ice cant dump in tray because of the ice build up.They are now making the ice maker sealed up tight because my neighbor has a newer model which 1 year old and I took a peek, no ice build up. They used silicone seal yet one year later same problem so it must be coming in from rear and cant be fixed. I have been removing the ice box and taking a blow dryer once every 2 weeks to melt it. So, I called Samsung 04/07/17 and was trying to get parts to fix the twin cooling fan ice issues after watching YouTube videos and they couldnt give me part #s. Referred me to www.samsungparts.com which is not their company but is approved to sell parts. I told Samsung, I had just got off the phone with them and they gave me your # which is technical support (1.855.726.8721) now youre sending me back to them?I then told her my cooling fan issue, and ice maker issue, how upset and disappointed I was in their product, and that I have a fridge/freezer in my garage that is 16 yrs old and never had a service issue. She told me, We can send a service technician to look at the issue and possibly replace it. I said, You mean charge me? She stated, NO replace it??? I asked her if this was a late April Fools joke. She said, NO... I stated, Does this have something to do with a class action lawsuit I have read about. She didnt answer, but did at the same time... So, I am waiting for the service company to call and schedule an appt. If they decide that the issues I told them are verified I may be getting a new fridge, which is a shocker. The other thing I found out when talking to her she asked in regards to ice build up behind the twin cooling fans, Were the white wheels to the front and bottom of your fridge touching the ground? I stated, Yes. She stated they should not be touching and the fridge needs to be raised tilting back and that when delivered they (Best Buy) should of leveled the refrigerator for me... So Best Buy didnt do it, and neither did the service tech I paid a $150 either. She sent me an e-mail showing a do it yourself How to Level the Refrigerator. So if you are having this issue check it out. May save you a service charge. To melt the ice you need to empty your fridge/freezer for at least 24 hours and tilt it back. May solve the problem. I am leaving mine alone for now hoping for a new fridge... Good Luck.
I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Lowes less than 4 months ago. Started having problems. Called my very unhelpful Samsung warranty people. All I got was the runaround. The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. I will never spend any of my hard earned money at Lowes ever again.
Good price. Good Quality Machine. Interior light is a little dim and key pad dark. Key pad not Sensitive enough to touch. Plenty of interior room for variety of dishes. Easy to clean inside and out. Samsung Model ME19R7041FS. Installed easily over electric range.
We purchased our Samsung gas oven/range in 2015 and after 3 years the digital display stopped working, so we replaced it for about $100. 6 months later it stopped working again, we replaced it again. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. Samsung offered to come out and look at it, but they want $185 just for the visit and diagnosis of the oven before any parts.
Thought I was buying stainless steel. Turns out it is a low grade stainless steel. All 3 doors rusted. Took almost a year to get solved. Ice maker unit has rusted again and there are rust spot on the doors again. Even though I purchased a extended warranty hhgregg and Samsung do not honor any more rust problems even though Samsung has told me the rusting around ice and water unit is a health hazard. The refrigerator is only about 3 years old and paid over $2000.00. Samsung does not stand behind their products unfortunately.
I refuse to give Samsung any further business due to their lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and the water dispenser produces foul odor and taste, rendered undrinkable. Ive had 4 service calls to fix problem and each technician visit had a different story as to why it occurs. However it reoccurs in less than a year. This makes no sense at all since our house is on a full-house water softener and filtration system. Now Samsung will not admit or take ownership of the fact their this model is faulty. Support will only issue another service visit at my cost for parts and labor which does not resolve any issues. Samsung French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Energy Star model RFG238AARS.
A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.
Electric Range was purchased at Lowes on 10/05/2012. It has always been properly maintained and kept clean. We are seniors and actually do not cook a lot. We noticed when baking items were not cooking properly. We checked to the temperature of the oven. It would heat up to the set temperature and then drop down about 150 degrees. It should say the set temperature but registered lower. We called a very reputable appliance repair company. He diagnosed the lower heating element was bad. Once he got into the area of the element he gasped... He said in 43 years he has never seen an element fuse to the metal sheet. He determined it was not repairable and could possibly be a fire hazard. We purchased a Samsung Washer (repaired 3x) a gas dryer (4x), Dish washer (5x) and now an electric range that is not repairable. Should an electric range last more than 6 1/2 years? Needless to say we went out last night and purchased a new range. It was not a Samsung.
This Samsung fridge has a SERIOUS design flaw and Samsung has been aware of it for a long time, per all the blogs, articles and YouTube videos about this problem! Our fridge is 3 mos old and already its doing the symptoms (loud popping/cracking/gurgling noises and water dripping within sealed walls) that our fridge will have this serious problem one day. We do not have a door water/ice dispenser and dont have the bottom ice maker activated. On many Samsung refrigerators, ice builds up on the coils (in sealed section) with the dripping making the buildup a solid, large chunk of ice that eventually BLOCKS the cold air into the fridge and also stops the fan. Samsung tells us the noises are normal but they can send a technician - since this is a design flaw and we dont want the fridge taken apart only to be told to use a hair dryer to defrost that area... We declined the service call. The seller (Lowes) refuses to take the fridge back and substitute a comparable one (cu ft etc) no-cost. The fridge looks nice, has good room and cools (for now) but I dread the day when the fan stops and hope it does not cause a FIRE as a result of the fan blades stopped but the fan motor continuing! If there is a recall or class action measure taken, my email is: **.
Been having nothing but problems with our Samsung fridge ice maker. Had a repair guy out (hard to find someone who works on Samsung appliances) and he said it’s a known issue and he recommends Whirlpool. He said not to invest too much more in the Samsung fridge for repairs. He “fixed” the issue and 2 weeks later ice worker isn’t working again. Wish we didn’t buy this Samsung fridge and would’ve listened to the bad reviews.
I bought this expensive Samsung 4 door refrigerator from Sears in 2012. The ice maker is the worse. Within 3 month it stopped making ice. Sears came to repair. This replaced the ice maker. It started working 2 month later stopped. Replaced all mechanism starts working again. 8 months later stopped again, replaced again 3rd time. 1 year later out of warranty. Called Samsung. They refused to do anything about it. Called local appliance dealer, had it replaced $595. Broke again within in 2 months. I looked up this refrigerator and not only this one, but other Samsung units have had many problems with the ice maker and Samsung is doing nothing about it. I would not buy this refrigerator or any Samsung if I was you. It was a $4,000 cost with no ice. They have terrible products.
2 repairs in 18 months. The first time the unit died completely. $115 to replace the thermal switch. Then a few months later...the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Just cleaned the ribbon cable connector myself. Why would a company of this size and reputation, not address this? My old GE over the stove microwave lasted 20 years. Ill be lucky to get 2 out of this one. My last Samsung appliance of any sort! Period.
Have a Samsung stainless steel side by side bought at Best Buy in August 2012. Refrigerator side not cooling down but freezer working fine. Compressor is hot and fan is working. Called Samsung and was told I had to pay for repair call and would not be reimbursed even if issue was under warranty. So, Im out $100 and no refrigerator for near 2 weeks. BUY WHIRLPOOL If you want customer service in America and a warranty that covers service call to replace warranty parts.
Purchased a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator approx. 1 month ago. On 9-29 fridge and freezer stopped working while at work, thawed out and spoiled food. Fridge and freezer will not cool. Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a back office department. I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told thats not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for 24-48 hours to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service. On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldnt take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint. After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution. When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its policies and procedures I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.
We noticed the ice cubes were not freezing solid and were clumping. Then it stopped making ice... Then we noticed food was thawing out. Eventually the refrigerator side was no longer staying cool. We paid $125 today to have someone come look at this refrigerator and were told it was a sealed system leak, and would cost a minimum of $1000 to fix. We have had this Samsung model for exactly 5 years and 3 months. Our warranty went out at 5 years. The customer service rep at Samsung told us we could pay $400 for a new 1-year warranty and this would be covered. I am extremely upset that we would have to pay an additional $400. Samsung knows that this is a problem and should agree to pay to fix this. Im considering just getting a new fridge, NOT a Samsung... and telling everyone I know to avoid Samsung. Ive already read many similar stories. Clearly a problem with Samsung and I feel they should own up to it.
We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and are not happy with it. One day, when it was quite new the freezer just stopped working and everything defrosted. Then we had a problem where the water dispenser would not shut off and we had a flood until I could get to the water shut off valve. Now the problem is water dripping from the ice maker. I researched this problem and it is a known problem with Samsung French door refrigerators. Wish I had known before I bought it!!! Supposedly has to do with the auger case. Will never buy another Samsung product.
We bought Samsung fridge and stove and less than 3 years later we start having problem with them. Fridge was not making ice and not cooling stove. Oven not heating stove. Been repaired 2 times under extended warranty and month later same problem again. Never another Samsung appliance in my home.
