Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

We purchased our Samsung gas oven/range in 2015 and after 3 years the digital display stopped working, so we replaced it for about $100. 6 months later it stopped working again, we replaced it again. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. Samsung offered to come out and look at it, but they want $185 just for the visit and diagnosis of the oven before any parts.

Our Samsung dishwasher started leaking one week ago (3 years old). Not under warranty. It was very hard to get a Samsung approved repairman. He comes in and after 10 mins. and 95 dollars tell me I need a new part but the good news is that there is a service bulletin on this part. I NEED TO CALL SAMSUNG AND ORDER THE PART. Samsung, he assures me, will pay for the part. It is a scam. When I called Samsung, they had never heard of a service bulletin, might not have heard of Samsung, not sure. They kept reading from their cue cards: Your dishwasher is not under warranty anymore. They were rude and very unhelpful. I have FOUR Samsung appliances in my kitchen, did not even treat me as a valued customer. When I offered to send them the service bulletin on the part, they did not even answer. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE! By the way, the microwaves heating sensor stopped working after one year. Their products are lousy and their service is even worse.

After less than three years our Samsung Refrigeration top has slowly gotten warmer and warmer. Samsung Phone support said level the refrigerator and that may fix it. Well that was way off. Didnt purchase the warranty, a big mistake. Samsung brand is Mud for me. The Technician said he is seeing many Samsung Refrigerators with this defrost thermostat issue. These Samsung refrigerators should be on re-call for this obvious defect. Do not buy Samsung!

I bought my Samsung oven in June 2019. I self cleaned it a year later and everything seems to be working fine. I tried to self clean this year in September and all of a sudden it stopped in just about 20 minutes, then I tried to do it again and it stopped again. I tried it the next day but the same thing happen again. I got an error code that the fans are not cooling enough. I had to wait and still waiting this day for ABT to fix the problem. The biggest problem is not that, after I self cleaned this time I got a spot inside the oven that looks like a stain but its not. I tried to clean it but its getting bigger and bigger every time I touch it. By the way this happened after the self clean because I never had it before and it looks like as of the paint is starting to peel. The second problem that I have encountered with this range is that ever since I started using the middle burner, the paint started to peel around it as well. Just a reminder this is only 2 years old range.I called Samsung twice and they promised me that someone will come out to help me with the problem. They gave me one time complimentary warranty since the manufacturer warranty is only for 1 year. I also had to tell the customer service people that if there is nothing that they can do about it, dont waste my time and send someone here, and the guy told me, NO. They will be able to help you. A tech came out and looked at it and then he had to call his boss and show him what was happing to our oven and top of the stove, then guess what he tells me? I am sorry, but this is cosmetic and its not covered, and thats what I didnt want to hear. I was so frustrated, and pissed off. What a waste of my time.I called the customer service and the lady told me that she is sorry that this had happen to me and there is nothing anybody can do for me at this time. I have never in my life had such an experience, and had to write a bad review about any company. I used to think Samsung was good, not anymore. I dont recommend it for anyone to buy it. I wish I had done some research before buying.

Water Level Release Arm - When using the water dispenser it has many scratches. Only had this fridge 4 months. Manual states to press and thats what we have done with a normal glass. When I call Samsung they say its approved but then nothing happens and the electronic repair shop says they keep seeing rejected. This is absolutely been a nightmare and I keep finding myself at square one. It is a plastic part of poor quality and does not withstand normal use. The scratches appear and make the frig look old and worn. Im getting no place with Samsung.

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

Do not buy their products, today they are of very poor quality and this company does not honor the guarantee of any of its products. I have many of their products (refrigerator, TV, telephones, tablets, washing machine, etc. I used to be this brand name fan until their products begun to break and the company do not honor the warranties). I got rid of the phones a couple of years ago due to software issues. I have been able to return the televisions thanks to the return policy of some stores, the refrigerator has problems with the ice maker and no matter how many people complain, they do not change the ice maker, nor do they repair it and they do not stop putting that problematic ice maker in the new equipments (if you make some research the company has been sued for the ice maker they put on the refrigerators), they dont care about customers once they have bought their products. If their products were good, you wouldnt have to worry about good customer service, but thats not the case. Their current products from about 5 years ago until now are of very poor quality, my washing machine (2 years old) has rusted all the edge where the bleach is poured and recently the motor broke and guess what? Precisely the engine has a 10-year warranty, at least on paper, but not really, they do not guarantee what was promised. First because of COVID-19 they did not have the staff to go to my house to diagnose the washing machine, that today they make this appliances with so much technology that the only thing they do not do is talk, but this machine shows you a code of the problem it has, this company do not care that the washing machine will show a code that means the engine is broken, they want a technician to diagnose it, a technician who they dont have, so they forced me to pay another company to have a technician come to diagnose the washer machine, a diagnosis that cost me $89.00.I sent them the invoice and they didn’t repair the engine anyway. They say they only pay for the part, not the labor, that I have to pay for the repair and send them the receipt for them to reimburse me for the cost of the part. If they warranty, the part they should send me the motor so I will take care of the labor with any company. They have not reimbursed me the $89.00 that they made me spend on diagnostic, although the washing machine said that the motor was broken and am I going to believe that they are going to reimburse me a part (motor) after this? This has been going on for 9 months since August 2020. They are worthless, unreliable, scammers, do not buy their products, any of their products soon or later will have issues and they will not honor the warranty. Do not become one of the victims of this HUGE SCAMMER COMPANY that take your money with warranties promises, and because their products are poor quality you will need the warranty, warranty that they are not willing to fulfill, they will find any excuse for not honor the warranty. Do not say you were not advising!! Be wise, save your money!!

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

Tonight as I was cooking some appetizers in the oven at 375 degrees, we heard an odd buzzing sound, then a pop, then black smoke started streaming out the upper back part of the oven, accompanied by flame. Our house now reeks of burned electrical components. Until this point, the oven has worked fine. We bought it in November of 2011. We will never buy a Samsung appliance again. I will be phoning them tomorrow morning, but I highly doubt anything will come of it. I guess its okay to spend hundreds on an oven that will only last that long and be a huge safety hazard. I will repost after I talk to them.

I bought the Samsung Microwave brand new at Costco when we built our new home. We are barely two years and the control panel has gone out of it. Were now experiencing the dreaded locked keypad with an SE error code, turning on in the middle of the night. Its past its warranty period. Never had a higher end appliance ever die that quickly. This is obviously a problem with this product as there are 70 complaints on here with the same issue. Something should be done as repair costs are the same amount as the microwave.

If you want the worlds worst customer service and to deal with a company who will do anything to avoid standing by their warranty, then buy a Samsung. On May 16 our side by side fridge stopped working. We have been EXTREMELY frustrated with customer support. We were first told Williamston TV in Farmingdale, NY would be calling us to set up an appointment. After not receiving a call from them, I called their center and they informed me they do not work on appliances. I contacted Samsung again and was given Rods in Riverhead, NY. Someone was suppose to come out today between 9 and 10 am - but no one from their center ever answered their phone. My husband ended up losing a days work because he took off to be home for the repairman. When I googled that company, their average review received 1 out of 5 stars (with many references of no one answering their phone and people never showing up to their house). I then called Samsung again and after 1/2 hour the customer service woman told us those were the only 2 centers on Long Island. Finally she told us we could get our own diagnostic and email it. Local appliance company - Recommended new refrigerator. Unit has bad evaporated coil and cover. According to the warranty from website this is covered under the 5 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR. In addition to the inconvenience, we have lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, my husband losing a day of work, and a freezer full of pumped breast milk for my 3 month old. We need to have a response and action done immediately as we are continuing to have to go to the store to get ice to store my sons milk and keep my one and half year old sons medicine.Samsungs email response - We are sorry to hear about your response, we will dispatch Williamston TV repair. (Note - this is exactly the company I mentioned that does not work on appliances.) Samsung Executive Customer Service phone response - We need to wait for Samsung to look over and evaluate their contract with Rods. If they decide Rods is not responsive then they will put our claim through an evaluation to see if they will in fact accept the local appliance diagnostic and allow them to do the repair, a process which could take two weeks to get an approval. Shame on you Samsung! Stop telling me I will do everything to help you and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. You obviously do not care about your customers or your product! #samsung, #samsungrefrigerator, #betterbusinessbureau, #samsungcustomersupport, #refrigerator, #worstwarranty, #samsungwarranty

Just adding to the huge damning file on Samsung. My experience is the same as everyone else on this site. Dishwasher breaks down 1 month outside warranty, and there is NO fix for it. Calls for help to Samsung are useless as all they do is refer you to a service center. How can they get away with this? Samsung dishwashers simply suck! Dont buy!!! I am currently into attempting my own repair on this machine. Just stripping and cleaning everything but reached a point where heavy lifting is required and thought I would check online for help - when I found this site. I will go no further, just put back together, start it up and if it is still not working, I will trash it! No sense putting good money after bad.

Samsung refrigerator rf217 - Purchased it from Sears along with service contract. Within weeks the veg containers filled with water- have had the repair service here at least 9 times for same issue. Its now near the limit of coverage and the water is still coming into the veg area and icing up. The repair service admits that the Samsung ref is trouble. I will also add that there is a crack in the plastic in the area where the two top doors meet. Can find no cause for this other than poor quality. The issues were the vent blocked so cant breathe. This happened till the entire inside back panel was replaced- build up of frost in freezer told door didnt close properly the- that the ref wasnt balanced enough somewhere. There is a list of excuses. Bottom line Samsung knew of the issue. Just read the booklet that comes with the product and the number of times they mention water build up. Its cheaper for them to rewrite the book than correct the problem.UPDATE ON 05/28/2018: Its near the end of the 5 year service contract - the same problems have never been removed - tipping back replacing fan - wires - back panel etc. The service was here twice this month. Called today. Went through all the repairs for same issue. Sabrina said she would put me on hold then came back. Said she couldnt hear me and hung up -- I called back. Went over everything again with a man this time. He informed me that the tech had to come to repair and if the tech felt it couldnt be fixed then they would replace. Was told I could file a replacement for lost food. I have had it with stalling the ice and water in the veg containers has gone on from the time I bought the thing to present and its still not fixed. Still filling with water ice and rotting the food and now I am told that the tech must attempt to fix the problem before they will replace it. Am fed up with Sears Samsung and the quality of home appliances - doesnt even rate one star. Would rate it a minus if I could so its one star and thats even too much.

My water bill would gag you if you saw it. - Ergonomically awkward (not enough room to stack in large items or tall glasses) 2 sprinkler wands is a good idea, but only if they leave some room for dishes! - Poorly assembled - watch out! Then about a month into having it I was heating up something for about 5 minutes and it cut off completely and wouldnt come back on for a few minutes. Then when it comes back on it resets the clock. My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

I have been happy with my Samsung until now. I have had my ref for 5 years. Every day or two, I noticed water standing near the bottom. I started blaming my poor dog. It wasnt the dog! Water is leaking out from under the bottom drawer (freezer). Ice is accumulating around the freezer door where the rubber meets the plastic. Cant figure out actually where water is coming from. After reading all of the comments on this board, this appears to be a problem others are experiencing. It sounds as if there is no help from Samsung. My ref is out of warranty. Our dishwasher will be one year old on November 3, repair people have been out three times. On the first visit we explained the washer was leaking. He said it was a known issue and the computer was spraying water when it should not. They ordered parts and more than 2 weeks later came back and put in new seals around the door, new computer, and other items inside the door. Our washer is still leaking, smells, and leaves water on the dishes. Another service person came out and said he thought the pump was putting dirty water back in the dishwasher and that a seal around the door was too short. We are in progress with that issue. We ask Samsung to replace the dishwasher but they said they only had records of one service call and I needed to get Lowes to send them records. I did so and two weeks later I called again and Samsung said they did not have they records. I ask to speak to a supervisor, they left me on hold and then came back after some time and said she was busy and to call Lowes again and have the records sent to a supervisor email and a general fax number. Lowes did so. I called again this afternoon. They said they dont have them, have never heard of that email or a person by that name. It was explained to me that if they repair it and it works up to 30 days it will be out of warranty with the repair people and with Samsung too since my regular warranty will be out Nov 3, 2014.We really should have done some reading before we bought this dishwasher. We have called the repair people and Samsung. We are removing this dishwasher and buying a new one but not a Samsung. We are tired of bad smell, stinky dishes, and water on my wood floors. We are just done. Lowes has been nice. The repair people are trying but you cant fix this junk.

Purchased Samsung refrigerator Model# RS554NRUASL/TC June 2013 from SM North Appliance. 1st month of using this unit is good, my electric bill went down but on the 2nd month (July 2013) refrigerator stopped cooling. Called Samsung. They gave me instructions to reset cooling by unplugging the unit for at least 30 seconds then replug it. Ive tried 5 times the whole day. It didnt work. Called Samsung. They referred me to their authorized Home Service Center. The technicians came the next day, they check the unit. They said that there was a leak, so they told me that theyre going to order the parts needed. After 4 days they came back to fixed the leak. After 3 hours looking for the leak, they said that the leak was inside the unit. They cant fix it. Theyre going to forward the problem to Samsung. So Samsung contacted me, they ask me to go to our dealer for the replacement of my unit. The 2nd new unit delivered (August 2013), it last 10 months. The same problem with the 1st unit happened again. So they replace it again, the 3rd unit delivered (July 2014). After 6 months of using the 3rd unit the same problem occurred again. Same procedure with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd unit was made. Then 4th unit with the same model delivered (February 2015). Last October 2015, there it goes again. The technician came, fixed it, after 3 days it broke again. They fixed it again. After 3 weeks it broke again. I really had enough with this unit. So disappointed...

Repair man said, this fridge keeps us in business. Seal is a joke and repair parts already more than a new fridge but Samsung has paid $0.00 so they dont care. Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made! I purchased the 'Samsung - 28.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Apps Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless steel -Model:RF28HMELBSR" 3 years ago and have never regretted it. The fridge is a powerhouse with cool features. The drink drawer is SO awesome! It keeps our soda and beer cool and out of the way! It has a mini-touchscreen that plays Pandora, shows our calendar, weather and news, plus has an app for drawing notes. The connection isn't always stable and the phone mirroring app never worked, but I don't care. It's really cool. Keeps the food fresh, the freezer is large and has a drawer for small items as well. The shelves are movable and it looks lovely. I totally recommend it!

Yet, they would not help me with the same problem. The error code SE came on and does not clear when microwave is unplugged. Samsung admitted to me the problem was epidemic when I called them. We have a Samsung refrigerator Model# RF266AERS/xaa that stopped cooling at 3 1/2 years. A certified Samsung tech (only one in SE Wisconsin) was unable to repair. The problem was in the sealed system which has a five year warranty. He contacted Samsung and took all the necessary documentation as he was directed and sent it to Samsung. That was 4 weeks ago during which time I have called and been connected to executive customer service seven times, each phone call a minimum of 40 minutes on hold. I have sent my sales receipt twice. They always have problems locating some piece of information but always give a new transaction number and a very polite vague excuse. I have called the certified dealer twice. They resubmitted info and the second time even had the regional manager for Samsung send it in. That was one week ago. At my last call on Oct 2, 2014... This is ongoing and I am now waiting again for 2-3 days. Mind you these calls are all 40-60 minutes long and it has been 6 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator! It also appears from other submissions, this is a big problem with Samsung and others.

Ice maker quit after 3 years. Repairman that I paid for came out and replaced ice maker, control board and had me leave unplugged and doors open for 3 days so the ice would defrost. Worked for about 6 months then iced up again. Ice maker quit working again shortly thereafter started making a horrific sound every time the twin cooling fans. Called out repairman again. He wasn’t sure what to do this time. Said he even called Samsung and could not get any answers. He placed on my invoice it was a structural defect. Told me there was nothing else he could do and recommended I purchase another refrigerator that didn’t have the name Samsung on it.

We had to purchase the entire icemaker system at the cost of over $200. At five years and seven months, the compressor went out at the cost of $600. Come out cubes and crushed together, water works sporadically. Repairman been here twice, still not repaired. Water filter leaked, flooded kitchen floor. Apparently you have to move the refrigerator out and turn water off at back each time you change filter (never had another refrigerator that required that). Repairman could not roll out because the rollers on bottom of fridge have gone flat and will not roll so requires dolly to move each time you change filter. PIECE OF JUNK!!! I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I called Samsung again for a new repair company, am waiting for them to call now. I can not tell if the part is under warranty (Magnatron) or not since no repair person has come yet. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. I will not buy Samsung again in any type of appliance. Overall their reputation in the last few years is taking a noise dive and rightfully so.

I purchased and installed a Samsung Gas Range (NC58H9950WS) in Spring of 2015. I recently ran (Dec 2017) the oven cleaning feature, and now my display is not working. Ive found many similar reviews stating their displays stopped working after running the cleaning program. The cost to repair this is approximately $1100 to replace both display boards (the range cost me around $2500 new). It would seem that Samsung sold us all a bill of goods by saying this feature is available on their range but in fact using the feature will make other parts of the range break down and require replacement. If youve had a similar experience, write your review!

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS/XAA. As someone else had just posted on this site, I also had the number 1 and the letter E flashing on my refrigerator panel after a power outage when the power came back on. I called the 1-800-Samsung number again and was told, Sorry, your 1 year warranty was up in September. So my 1-1/2 year old refrigerator cost me $421.58 to fix. They had to replace the main board. I am outraged that something that I just spent $2800.00 on had now cost me $421.58 in repairs. I will never buy this brand again. I should have bought American made!

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

One I liked the french door in the middle, and second we had numerous other Samsung electronic products and they performed well. That was our first mistake. Just because a company makes a good Television doesnt mean they know how to design and build an equally well performing refrigerator. About all I can say about it is that it does freeze but from there on forget it. The ice maker and in particular the dispenser suck. We purchased the Samsung model DMT 300 RFS dishwasher from Lowes. We are extremely unhappy with the performance. First, it has broken over a dozen glasses, a problem we have never had with other dishwashers. Also, after every load, we are rewashing some dishes by hand due to poor cleaning. We have tried different rinse agents and detergents and more extensive pre-cleaning but nothing helps. But the straw that broke the back was a problem four days out of warranty that we had to pay to get fixed. The staff on the help line was rude at best but far better than the supervisor I spoke with. Your new water filter model SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003G will NOT work in my refrigerator. The 3rd groove you have added will not screw in. No matter how hard I try to twist it in. No matter how hard a handy man I had to pay try to get it in there. No matter how hard your authorized Samsung repair service tried to twist in there. PLUS THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $65 to not do ANYTHING. Is this a marketing tactic for me to buy a new refrigerator? I had spent 2 days talking with your customer service, your parts department, your repair service. I have been told the G series is compatible, just apply more pressure. Enough that I am about to break it is my response? I have been told by your authorized serviceman that I have the wrong part. Then he turns around and says there is only filter that size that Samsung makes. Duh... I have gone to 3 different stores and bought the same filter, getting the same results. (As everyone has Samsung’s revised G series water filter.) I have a working refrigerator with a working water filter housing that will not accept your “new” “G” series water replacement filters. I have to now find the older SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003F. Your company needs to address this situation as it is purely ridiculous to have your consumers be subjected to the degree of difficulty that I have had recently trying to pay the way overpriced amount (which I will pay because I love the quality of water it produces). YOU NEED TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION VERY SOON.

We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP - I have had this refrigerator for about 4 years now and it has had problems from a little after its first year. It would defrost everything for a couple of days and then start working again. This went on for months and I just figured it was a weird glitch. Then it started this loud grinding sound from the refrigerator section and it acted like it finally died. I called a repairman and he looked inside and said it was the fan but he couldnt work on it because the fan was frozen solid. He told me to leave it open for a few days while he ordered the part. I lost all of my groceries I had just bought. The repairman never seemed to get the part and after a month of no refrigerator, I plugged it back it and it worked perfectly fine for awhile. So this has been going on every few months until yesterday. The refrigerator wont cool now -- its at 66 -- and the freezer is working perfect. I have had it with this refrigerator!

We moved into a new house and decided to replace the appliances. We read the reviews, thank you for the people who do this. It helps, and saw Samsung got terrible reviews on their dishwashers but nothing bad on the particular fridge we were interested in. There were no bad reviews because this fridge was newer and I dont think enough time passed for the problems to emerge. Model number RF28K9380SR, so we went for it, spent a good amount of money on it and months after we bought it (Brand New) we had big problems with the ice maker completely freezing over. We had the SAME parts break 5 times in less than one year. We have requested our money back or a completely new fridge. After weeks on the runaround and being told its under review we have gotten NOOOOO answers. We emailed and faxed in the repair logs. They have sent their own repairmen out and in less than 1 week it broke again. We are, to this exact day, sitting with an ice maker that has completely frozen over and shuts down. Called Samsung for the 6th time in two weeks to be told, its still under review. Not only is this Fridge an absolute waste of money, Samsung is a terrible company and could care less about customers. I bought the Samsung French Doors/Bottom Freezer in June 13, 2011 (Model RF266AEPN/XAA). The first repair came in December 2011. Control panel was iced. The refrigerator was not cooling. In fact, temperature control showed 68 degrees! Then there was the issue of the freezer door. You had to forcefully open it, as though the side rails that supported the freezer seem to lock, preventing the door to open. Then once opened, it had to be forcefully closed. Now, its happening again. Refrigerator is losing its cool. It just so happened that I kept the old Amana in the garage. Ive had to transfer the items from the Samsung to the Amana. I called BrandsMart USA on Friday, March 16, 2012, where it was purchased since it is still under warranty. They set up for someone to contact me on Monday, March 19, 2012. I am going to look into whether I can return it to BrandsMart USA. The first time it was repaired, the Samsung repairman said they were having issues with these refrigerators. Updated on 09/27/2019: 4 Broken Ice Makers in 7 years. I have a side-by-side RSG307AARS Samsung refrigerator with 29.6 cu. ft. I purchased in July 2012. The ice maker has broken 4 times. The sensor that controls the paddle arm that ejects the ice cubes has failed each time. The first time it broke, Samsung paid as it was still under warranty. The second time being out of warranty, I paid $400, including parts and labor to replace. The third time I paid for labor only. This latest time Samsung says I have to pay all. Ive contacted their CEO through Email and phone to make them realize that the ice maker and subsequent ice makers have a defective sensor and like an automobile should be recalled and repaired at their expense with a sensor that wont break every year and a half. They refuse. I will never buy a Samsung product again; from what Ive read on the Internet, their refrigerators are the worst. Should have done my homework better 7 years ago. Let that be a warning. I have finally decided to junk it and Wednesday went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool on sale with an extended 5 year warranty. And, if I never use the warranty, I get money refunded. Whats the chance of that?Original Review: Purchased refrigerator (RSG307AARS) Jul. 2012. Ice maker stopped making ice Oct. 2012. Repairman had to replace the ice maker and 2 circuit boards; this repair was warranted. Per repairman, this was a known issue with Samsung. Feb. 2015 ice maker stopped making ice again; the lever under the ice maker cover thats supposed to come down after each round of ice cubes are dumped into the bucket and sense if more ice should be made stopped working. Repairman determines the ice maker needs to be replaced again. The gears for the same lever are broken. Called Samsung, even talked to a supervisor (maybe). Samsungs bottom line - its out of warranty so they wont do anything to keep me as a future customer. My bottom line - I wont buy another Samsung product.

We purchase a package from HH Greg 4 piece appliances refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. The ice maker stop working. Had to be replaced within a year. The oven stop working 13 months after the purchase date. I called the customer service center to discuss how disappointed and upset I was about the faulty equipment we were sold. What really upset me is the repair company they referred me to order parts before coming out to examine the refrigerator which lead me to believe the problem with the ice maker was a known issue. The same thing happen when the repair company called about the stove. Im so frustrated they knew of the issue with these appliances and dont have a problem passing the repair bill to the consumers. I owned GE appliances for years. Decided to go with Samsung because I thought they had a good product. Im so upset and disappointed. If I could afford to I would replace these appliances. Im worried the dishwasher and microwave is going to break next. I didnt purchase the warranty because we paid cash and thought we were buying high end products we felt safe. Was I ever so wrong. I wouldnt recommend Samsung to my worst enemy.

Samsung 5 burner gas stove cost approx. $700. Love the 5 burners on the stove. The middle burner is great for simmering or keeping something warm. With having 5th burner I can keep gravy warm while preparing the rest of the meal. Also good for boiling water for eggs. It pays to spend a little more on a good quality stove. You don't want to have to buy another one in two years.

We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.

We bought a Samsung 2 door refrigerator in May of 2013. The guarantee was up in May of 2015. Nine months later, the flap control which seals the left side door broke and no longer stays open while the door is open. As a result, one must open the right hand door in order to close the left door. I called the number on the inside of the fridge to speak to a Samsung rep. Of course, despite the relatively short time we were over the warranty, there was nothing he could do. He was not even able to provide a line on a replacement part! Fortunately, we had purchased an extended warranty through Lowes, the store we bought the fridge from, and the matter should be resolved without cost. While speaking to the rep. at Lowes, I was informed that this was unfortunately a very common fault with these fridges. I have never had a major appliance break down like this before after such a short period of time. I should think Samsung would wish to protect their good name with a total recall on this issue and replace the flaps with a more durable part if, indeed it is a common occurrence. The rep. at Samsung seemed to know exactly what my problem was as I was trying to describe it. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking to buy a new fridge to steer clear of Samsung. They should stick to making TVs!

My Samsung refrigerator is about 4 years old. Several times, it has simply quit operating. Most times disconnecting the power and restarting it has solved the problem. Yesterday it starting showing the error message OF which means it has gone back into showroom mode. This mode shuts the refrigerator down and is used in showroom situations to reduce power consumption. I researched the error code and tried all the solutions outlined on the various websites to no avail. I called a repairman and he indicated that the computer has failed and I would need to spend $600 to fix it. This was a top-rated refrigerator by Consumer Affairs. You were clearly misguided and should remove this appliance from your recommendations immediately. My last refrigerator was a Kenmore and lasted for twenty-five years with no significant problems.

I have had the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Yesterday I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. This sounds like it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. What a load of crap. My wife and I decided to purchase all new appliances for our remodeled kitchen. We purchased the Samsung black stainless Fridge, microwave, range, and dishwasher. First of all the microwave (ME21K7010DG), at first it would input 777 on the display by itself, then one night I woke up and the blower was on high, then on another night I woke up the the microwave heating up on its own. Lowes had sent out a contractor three different time and replaced the door, it would work fine for a short time. Then after contacting Samsung on several different occasions, they keep telling me to unplug the unit and plug it back in. That did work for a few months but now it is turning on again. Finally, I decided to replace the microwave on my own dime as I am not willing to wait for Samsung to make this right. It isnt worth having my home burn down.As for the range, (NE58K9500SG) The front control knobs dont have a locking feature, I have had several times when someone would but the knob and the heating element would turn on. We dont have young kids so it really isnt an issue for use but if you do have small kids I dont recommend this range. As for the rest of the items, we havent had any issues so far.

The warranty had expired by that time and Samsung offered a discounted refund in September 2021. After many confusing and contradictory responses and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, my complaint was elevated to the office of the president in October 2021. Since then, assurances of the partial refund have also been responded to with confusion and contradiction. The complaint cannot be elevated and the representative is unresponsive. Supposedly, there is no higher level to complain to, and I cannot get my promised partial refund.

I purchased this Samsung refrigerator in July of 2017. From the get-go, I had problems with the unit. First, one of the shelves was uneven. Then I had a couple of service calls to address the loud bang noise the ice machine makes. The repair for this reduced the problem but it still does it occasionally. The most frustrating and persistent problem has been this frequent yet intermittent buzzing sound, like the sound a fluorescent light bulb makes just as it is going bad. I have had the service company out several times to address the issue. The last technician told me it was a normal noise. This is the fifth refrigerator Ive owned as an adult and I have NEVER had this problem. Samsung keeps sending out the same repair company but without any fixes. I am at my wits end.

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. The device appeared to be getting phantom button presses (fortunately not the start button) and beeping until I pulled the power plug. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. Was amazed to see that this fragile connection spans 8+ years of production. Seeing that this has happened to so many others, makes me feel lucky that I got this much use out of it.

We noticed the ice cubes were not freezing solid and were clumping. Then it stopped making ice... Then we noticed food was thawing out. Eventually the refrigerator side was no longer staying cool. We paid $125 today to have someone come look at this refrigerator and were told it was a sealed system leak, and would cost a minimum of $1000 to fix. We have had this Samsung model for exactly 5 years and 3 months. Our warranty went out at 5 years. The customer service rep at Samsung told us we could pay $400 for a new 1-year warranty and this would be covered. I am extremely upset that we would have to pay an additional $400. Samsung knows that this is a problem and should agree to pay to fix this. Im considering just getting a new fridge, NOT a Samsung... and telling everyone I know to avoid Samsung. Ive already read many similar stories. Clearly a problem with Samsung and I feel they should own up to it.

Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine. This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasnt my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. I will watch for it to become more difficult as time goes on and will add emptying freezer and chipping off sheets of ice to my growing list of things I have to do to accommodate other peoples stupid design flaws.

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

Purchased refrigerator during October 2015 and appliance began giving problems about 8 months later. After much bureaucracy to get a repair through warranty, the problem still remains. The Ice Maker freezes in the back of the refrigerator and stops the Ice Making mechanism from making Ice until the ice built up in the back is chilled away or melted with a blow dryer. This process needs to be performed every three weeks. Water also leaks from the ice dispenser and the crisper tray seems to accumulate water under it and ultimately it leaks to the floor under the fridge.

We had our Samsung French Door refrigerator for about six months when the ice maker would not stop making ice when the bucket was full and then get jammed up with ice up at the top of the maker. After clearing the ice and resetting the maker multiple times, I called Samsung. The phone tech was very hard to understand, since he was from India (although he was always polite). He walked me through several resets and then, instead of sending a service tech as I requested, he had me turn the ice maker off for several days and then turn it back on and reset it with the intent of clearing the machine. It did not work. More jamming of ice. Today I called service again and they are sending a service tech with a new ice maker. I will update my experience after the install and a reasonable time to see if it functions correctly. However, I do not feel it was appropriate for them to postpone service when the problem had persisted for almost a month prior to my call and I am not pleased that the ice maker failed when the refrigerator is only six months old.

Was beginning to think this was a pretty good refrigerator, side by side model RS263TDWP. My previous refrigerator lasted at least 12 years, was also purchased at Sears, and was a Kenmore side-by-side. My husband is an A/C Tech...he was able to figure out almost immediately that behind the panel on the refrigeration side (freezer was working perfectly throughout all this) that the evaporative fan motor had gone out. After only two years!! These units should be working without problems for at least 8 to 10 years, even in the modern days of refrigerators being built with a computer brain to run them. We bought the part, he had it in within 5 minutes (which I know is lucky for me, but most people have to pay hundreds of dollars for parts and repair, not to mention the wait time for them to actually get there). But I must mention, when he was looking on Youtube for videos to guide the repair, there were many complaints of this same thing (on the internet) happening to other Samsung refrigerators. This is a middle of the line refrigerator, not a cheap one, and I was under the impression if you pay $1,600 for a fridge that it might actually last longer than two years! Very disappointed...would NOT recommend any Samsung refrigerators, because though they are beautiful to look at, you will more than likely be sorry (if you must have one, I would recommend the extended warranty!).
