I have purchased four Samsung appliances within the last four years, and three needed repairs. Microwave, purchased a year and 1/2 ago, needed new keypad which cost $160 repair. My French door refrigerator, purchased four years ago, needed new rear panel and defrost sensor/water build up under deli drawer. This is a common problem we find out. This cost us $185.50 in repair. Front loading washer, purchased three years ago, needed new bellow with repair cost of $137.21. Im very disappointed in Samsung products. I would like someone from Samsung to contact me if there is something they can do to help absorb some of these costs. Do you stand behind your product? I will be building a new home in the near future and will not be considering Samsung appliances.

We purchased a Samsung SMH9187 microwave one year ago (along with a dishwasher and fridge). Weve had the SE error. My husband fixed that by cleaning the sensors in the control panel. Then the door latch broke. He fixed that too after watching a DIY video. Now the microwave is turning itself on at random last night at 3am. Similar problems with the dishwasher and refrigerator. Wont recommend this to anyone!

I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty. The service has been opaque, slow, unreliable (never call when they say they will) and overall horrible. I do not recommend buying a Samsung appliance and I never will again.

I have been sitting here on hold for about 40 minutes waiting to speak to a manager to find where my refrigerator is. Samsung has delivered two - and both were damaged. They tried to delivered a third which was supposed to be here two days ago. At this point, no one at Samsung knows where that delivery is; when it will be here; or even acts like they know whats going on. This has been going on for three weeks and I still do not have a fridge. This customer service is the worst - second only to Vivint Security. I am going to get my money back and I will never buy another Samsung product again for the rest of my life.

This review doesn’t even deserve a star. I wish you could give 0 stars. I will never buy anything Samsung again due to my experience with this fridge. Barely 3 years old and paying over $3k for the model... The refrigerator portion froze up and no longer worked. They sent theirs Samsung repair person to fix it. Said he took care of it and a one week later... It froze up and no longer worked. It is a giant piece of garbage. Now after calling them to get help they said they don’t have a repair person to help us. We now have to pay almost $600 to repair this fridge that is less than 3 years old and the parts are coming from China and are on back order. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

My oven (NE595ROABSR) quit heating and it took over an hour to come up to temp. Read all the reviews here and decided to check the broiler which I dont use much, that does not work either. I am waiting on repair man but after reading all the reviews I assume mine will go in JUNK Pile after diagnosis due to all that will have to be replaced. I dont believe in investing more money if it is expensive to repair. I do use the self clean oven and that may have burnt out the modules/sensors. I will NOT Buy another Samsung stove. I also called SAMSUNG and they will not take accountability.

Ice maker valve froze up. Samsung did not know what part number it was! How is that possible? Parts dept totally incompetent. Ask for a supervisor and waited 17 minutes, got voicemail. No return call. No surprise. They sent wrong part and will not allow it to be returned. I love the fridge design so I ignored other review warnings not to buy one. HUGE mistake. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. When a part fails, and it will, you will have a terrible time trying to talk to someone with ANY knowledge of the part you need. Totally incompetent in doing business.

I have a Samsung oven Model ne9k3310ss with so called self cleaning steam option. It Sucks. I am 64 years old havent had to scrub an oven with SOS pads for years. Cooked a turkey. Will not come clean. Purchased this stove Sept 2016 from Lowes. It was 2 days before my daughters wedding and my previous ovens element burnt up. So no reviews were checked before we bought this one. Lowes sales rep told us good reviews it was in stock could be delivered the next day. Perfect. Used it for the wedding, except for the oven.Stove really wasnt used for the first 30 days so was past the customer satisfaction period. Oven would not hold temp, tech was here 3 times, replaced parts. Wanted so bad to just return it but no. I hate this stove and I have had many stoves over the years. The glass top is almost impossible to keep clean. Bought the daily cleaner, waste of money, need to use the heavy duty cleaner to clean it. Would not recommend this stove. I will be getting rid of it.

Samsung dishwasher is broken down again. DMR78AHS 3 years old. Immediately the plastic tabs for the upper rack adjuster broke off. This is a common problem and has happened 3 times. Warranty covered too. Once the tab jamming the pump causing error code LE. No warranty this time, $179 to fix. Next the door tension spring is attached with a nylon cord and runs over a plastic pulley. Cord broke, door came crashing down, another $179 labor and $20 parts for 2 cords. Today it will not turn on at all, no response from control pad. I guess another $179 down the drain. It washes so poorly that we only load it half full, plates in every other space and dont even think about putting dishes in without pre-rinsing. We are very disappointed in this appliance. We have spent the price of the washer in service calls. We filed a request with Samsung when the tab jammed the pump for reimbursement of the service call but were denied. We feel a class action suit is appropriate.

In October of 2012, we purchased a french door Samsung refrigerator, model #RF263BEAESR from our local appliance store. It worked well for the first year. When it was one month out of warranty, we started having problems with major frost build up in the ice maker, so much so, no ice would drop. Called Samsung and they told me I had to call a local repair service. I was not satisfied with this since IMHO, a one year old fridge shouldnt be having problems. I wrote an e-mail to the Executive Office of Consumer Support and got a phone call back in days. I explained the situation and told them I would never buy their products again. They offered us a one time service accommodation. A service tech came out, identified the problem as a problem with some sort of heater unit and replaced it. The fridge worked okay for 4 months and guess what, its happening again!!! Called Samsung again and threw another fit and told them it wasnt fixed so they offered yet another one time service accommodation. This time, they replace the whole front control panel and some sort of heater fan in the ice maker. If these problems persist, Ill be asking for a replacement fridge. FYI, people having problems and your fridge is almost new, DO NOT call a service repair person. Call Samsung and ask to speak to Executive Consumer Affairs. Tell them the problems youre having and your dissatisfaction and ask for a service accommodation, theyll set you up with a service call and you wont have to pay a penny.

If I could give zero stars I would! Samsung customer service is jerking me around. I am have all of the issues the previous reviewers mentioned, ice maker freezing, leaking in drawer & leaking water at the top of fridge in back at the seam. I have to keep water line turned off & hope I don’t come home to a flooded floor. I called for service. They came out, said they couldn’t fix it & Samsung rep said they would exchange/replace it. I then paid $80 for the service call for nothing. That was almost 2 months ago. I have called Samsung 6-7 times. I am still waiting for their call which I am sure will be never. Each time I call I am reassured they will call me & it’s been about 2 mos. I am getting blown off & strung along. It’s a 3yr old $2000.00 fridge. There must be some kind of class action suit that could be brought against Samsung. This is so shameful that this huge company can rip people off continuously. Never will I ever again buy anything Samsung. If I happen to see someone in a store in the future looking at Samsung appliances or products I will definitely share my experience & dissuade them from buying anything Samsung.

We had a broken refrigerator door shelf. I called Samsung and they promised to send me for free a new shelf even though it was out of warranty. Shelf never came. I called back and Samsung said order had been canceled (without telling me) because out of warranty. I said they promised to send me shelf. After several more phone calls and escalations, Samsung said they would not abide by their promise and said I would have to pay for shelf. Also, the ice maker went out shortly after the warranty expired and that costs $500 to fix. Suffice to say, I would not recommend buying a Samsung refrigerator and Samsungs customer service is awful.

Samsung is horrible! I purchased a Samsung Bottom Mount Freezer in April of 2010 from Sears. I was told that it was rated five stars by Consumer Reports. Best fridge out there for my price range, according to the sales guy. In August of 2011, my freezer section was heating up. To make a long story short, Samsung told me to deal with it since it has a one year warranty and they dont know how long their appliances last. I called every repair man in my area but no one will work on Samsung because they are so hard to deal with and get parts for.I ended up with Sears Home Appliance Repair. They are the only ones willing to work on this product. Three weeks later and $500.00 worth of meat spoiled, I get the guy to my house only to find out that my condenser and compressor are broken and heating up. Did I mention that I was also getting water in the fridge part under the cold cut drawer, which apparently was caused by a clogged drain line? Really. How does all this happen to a brand new fridge? It takes two weeks to get my parts only to find out that they were already broken when I received them.Another two weeks later, my fridge parts come in. Get this. The freezer section caught on fire as soon as the parts were put in by their certified technician. He soldered through my firewall and burnt out the whole bottom of my freezer. I am told that Samsung and/or Sears will replace the unit for free and that the fridge section is okay to use since the repairman took out all the bad parts. Two days later, the fridge caught on fire again. Luckily, I was home to throw it out my front door at 8 oclock on a Sunday night. My house smells like smoke, all my food is destroyed, and the service woman on the phone had the ** to tell me that I should be grateful that I was offered $500.00 in a voucher to Sears towards a new appliance since their service man did not want to do the job anyway. It took me six days of nonstop phone calls to customer service to get my money back--a full refund. If I did not take three hours a day out of my life to hound every person, I would still be waiting for those people to review my case. All I expect is a product that works longer than one year, is that so bad? And if, for some reason, beyond my control, that appliance stops working, is it wrong to ask for a fair treatment and a full refund to replace it? I had to work hard to get these Customer Service people to treat me like I was a customer. My advice is do not give up. Make them see that they cant keep doing this and get away with it.I am done with any Samsung appliance and I am done with shopping at Sears. They are unfair, rude and thieves. I am happy to get my money back so I can go buy a Frigidaire. They cost a little more but they work. I was fooled by the fancy lights and options. Now, I am going back to simple clean and reliable. Dont buy Samsung. If I wasnt home, what would have happened to my house when the fridge caught on fire? Buyers, beware! They dont care about you; they care about your money!

I had similar problems to those reported - 1/2 inch of water then ice on bottom of fridge compartment, ice in freezer, difficulty resetting after power outage, multiple service calls; also, all plastic drawers and door shelves have major cracks. Problems started after only two years and I loved this thing, gave the utmost in care. I am so frustrated. Latest service call they said $600 to fix (after $70 for the visit). I have a Samsung French door refrigerator with the cooling drawer. This is the worst product. I have contacted Samsung and they sent me to a service company who has come out three times and the refrigerator is still not working. First the freezer wouldn’t cool. The technician added Freon twice. Now both the refrigerator and freezer have stopped working. The item is icing up and the ice maker doesn’t work and makes a strange noise. All I get is the runaround from Samsung. So three missed days of work and two grocery orders ($600 - I have a large family of 6) later I still have not refrigerator/freezer. Buyer beware - avoid Samsung at all cost. Their customer service is horrible. Even the repair contractor said they have all kinds of issues with Samsung and the company will require that all parts are replaced before they will replace the item - even if the parts are unrelated to the problem. I am filing a BBB against Samsung. They know their products are defective/faulty.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago from the Sears home appliance store. Just over 3 weeks ago, I noticed the freezer wasnt cooling. When I called Sears, they informed me that a technician would not be able to come out for 10 days. If I wanted someone sooner, I would have to call Samsung. Samsung sent out a tech within 3 days who said there was a leak and more than likely it would break down again until they can find the source of the leak. Just over a week ago, the freezer stopped cooling again. I called Samsung and they told me that I had to get in touch with someone to repair and I would be compensated, but they had to be certified to work on Samsung. I called the same company that came out before, who, as of 2 days ago, no longer deals with Samsung and 2 other companies who wont work on Samsung at all. Im stuck with a $3000 refrigerator that was purchased less than a year ago with an extended warranty that no one, including Sears or Samsung, is willing to fix!!

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances two years ago with this line of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator is currently a model involved in a class action lawsuit as water pools in the crisper drawers and produce spoils. I can deal with taking drawers out and dumping them, but at the beginning of this month my husband was in our nursery when he heard a loud pop in the kitchen. Upon inspection, he noticed that our glass top (Range NE595ROABSR) had cracked completely from front to back. Furthermore, fragments of the glass continued to split from the bottom up (not from the top down as one would suspect had it been an object of force hitting the top).He called Samsung and they sent a diagnostic tech out a week later (bear in mind that we have three children under the age of four and nothing safe to cook on) for the cost of $80. My husband explained to the technician that he had set an empty two quart pot on the stove before hearing the baby cry. The stove was not on and HAD NOT BEEN ON FOR TWO DAYS at that point. The technician took pictures, says he sees this all the time, agreed that there was absolutely no physical damage on our end, he said he could tell where the glass had a defect, but warned us that Samsung likes to deny claims. We paid the $80 to this third company for him to take some pictures and leave. He left and two days later we were indeed denied. We began the arduous process of calling and talking to every imbecile that works for this pathetic excuse of a company. We were initially told that their technical support team approved us for a replacement once the diagnostic tech called them and sent in pictures explaining that this was a Samsung defect. After a few days of no one coming to replace the range top, we called back and were informed that the glass top isnt covered in the five year GLASSTOP WARRANTY (seriously, this company is ludicrous). After spending two more days and endless hours on the phone (mind you with a four month old, and two preschoolers screaming and crying in the background), we were informed that it doesnt matter what the diagnostic technician says, their product review department is comprised of engineers that are specially trained to detect physical damage IN CELL PHONE PICTURES and they determined that since my husband had an EMPTY pot sitting in the stove at the time the glass cracked we had physically damaged the item and they would not replace the range top, but we could for an additional ~$250 plus another $50 in labor to the company we already paid $80 to diagnose the problem.Perhaps its just me, but I was under the impression that stoves were meant to hold pots. Granted this one had been left alone in a kitchen because of a colicky baby, so perhaps it grew legs and jumped up and down until breaking our range and causing the physical damage. None the less, we are out of pocket the $800+ it cost two years ago, and additional $80 for a diagnostic tech that Samsung refuses to believe over some gods behind a computer screen that do not receive or accept calls from customers, and I still have NOTHING safe to cook on for my sons. We refuse to replace the glass top because there is no guaranty this wont happen again. Thanks Samsung for costing a struggling family to struggle even more. We doubt that youll care, but youve lost us as customers for life.

Its now September. 9 work orders later and many things fixed, I still dont have ice or frozen freezer. Thank God I had the brains to purchase a warranty when I bought the fridge. The price to fix the unfixed fridge now exceeds what I paid for it. Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasnt working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money. We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldnt be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months. When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning. When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.

I purchased the side by side fridge. After 10 days, when I opened the door to the fridge, I would hear the fan motor slowing down. It was loud. I placed a service call to Sears (where I purchased it) and the serviceman said that I needed to empty the fridge and leave the doors open for two days so it could thaw. Apparently, it was frozen in the back. I did that and he came back the next week to install new parts. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday, the fan noise was back. I placed another service call. This time, I insisted on a replacement. Guess what, the replacement is making the same fan noise.

As others have noted the refrigerator by Samsung has been a problem since day one. Water and ice accumulates in the vegetable bin area. The water storage vessel located on the back wall freezes and has ruptured on several occasions, requiring replacement. The defrost heater shorts out and is not operational, numerous issues with the main control board and the reprogrammed and updated replacements, poor design and engineering requiring design modifications in the field, water and ice systems freeze up, do not work and do not dispense. Overall, Samsung service is unresponsive and basically not knowledgeable. Their design and engineering groups dont have a clue. Most recent repair included the installation of new and upgraded main panel which was to resolve all the problems. Issue is that after the installation of three separate new and improved and reprogrammed panels only some of the issues were addressed and the reprogramming actually caused other problems. The original main board panel that came with my refrigerator is long gone, no longer manufactured. The replacement panel has a new set of issues including that other basic functions were not programmed into the new main panel design. So for example, for the refrigerator and freezer to operate I have lost several functions such as the light in the freezer compartment. This item for example was never programmed into the newest control panel. I was told this directly from the tech rep at Samsung and the repair folks. Keep in mind my French door refrigerator that cost over two thousand dollars and is less than four years old is a mush mash of parts and accessories. The main panel has been replaced several times and three separate panels were required to be able, installed this time just to get to a point that the refrigerator functioned and the defrost heater assembly had voltage to operate. Keep in mind that I now have a refrigerator that have systems that cannot function because the main board was not properly programmed and Samsung does not seem to care. They wont even return a phone call and customer service is a joke. One more thing. I was with the service person the entire time that my refrigerator was being worked on. If I ever hear one more time the senior service technician from Samsung tell the onsite servicing rep let me tell you off the record what you should do I will scream!! The senior service tech at Samsung confirmed that there was a serious issue with the freezing and rupturing of the water vessels on the interior rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. He indicated that Samsung has failed to address this issue with a repair or service bull item as it would basically acknowledge that there indeed is a design and operational flaw in the unit. Off the record, the onsite rep was told to go out and get a thin piece of closed cell foam and place it between the water vessel and rear wall of the refrigerator compartment as some other site repair folks have found that to be the resolution to the vessel freezing and rupturing issue.” Well I will close out my comments for now, but will likely be writing again as the refrigerator has problem after problem and Samsung is unable to effectively resolve the issues. By the way, since my refrigerator, which is less than four years old is out of warranty, and I have had to pay for all the repairs myself, the cost to date now exceeds the original cost of the unit. The unit was about $2,300.00 and with the latest partial fix adding another $420,00, I am into this great product to the tune of over $4,800.00. No help from Samsung here!! Looking for a new refrigerator now and certainly would like to see Samsung step up and make this right and cut me a refund check for the $4,800.00 I have invested so far. Maybe they should also take into account the spoiled food and inconvenience to my family while they are at it. Dont Buy Samsung Products!!

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator ($2,300) in late 2016 from Home Depot. From the beginning the ice maker would become encased in ice and stop working every 6-8 weeks. Had to chip away at the ice around the ice maker for it to start working again. Searched the web for this problem and apparently this is a very common problem with this model. Contacted Samsung and was told service would cost me as it was out of warranty. Tried turning refrigerator off for a few hours to defrost ice and then it would work again for a few weeks. Now the ice maker and stopped working altogether. Called Samsung again and they refused service. This is a very poorly engineered and very expensive product to have customer service denied. I purchased my Samsung DW (Model DW933) through Lowes. After 2 months, I noticed a smell that is always present - even after I cleaned the dishes. It is awful. Plus, the glasses dont stay up. I have several broken glasses when I open my DW, I can count on one of them being broken... The top rack is a joke. Spoke to Samsung and they sent a repairman out... He was a joke. I could not understand him. He told me to use vinegar too like I did not know that already. Waste of time. Im SO FREAKING UNHAPPY with this dishwasher but Im stuck with it. Samsung should recall them... Oh by the way, the rollers on the bottom shelf do not glide back and forth. If you take the shelf out too far, it will fall down onto the door. There are no stops to prevent this from happening. I need some help here. I dont have 700.00 for another new Dishwasher. :(

I have a repairman come out recommended by Samsung and he said the parts are no longer available. For a 2-year-old microwave? We tried again after a few days and the display has :0 on it. But the unit is now working. I cant figure out whats going on, but at least its working for now. Samsung should recall this product. I wont be buying any Samsung items unless they fix this problem.

Refrigerator RF4287HA - We paid $350 to have a authorized Samsung repair service tell us that insulation foam trapped in the overflow tube caused our lower freezer drawer to build up ice and eventually prevent the drawer from opening. Two months later the problem returned. We began a process of turning off power, emptying the drawers, placing hot water in pan within and melting down the build up. We do this 6 to 8 times a year since purchasing it. Today I went online to ask if Samsung has a permanent fix and they gave no advice - but did ask for my credit card for which they claim I would get an answer. Scam? Is Samsung a South or North Korean company? They are the worst.

I too bought a Samsung Model RF4287HARS/XAA and spent over $3000 for it while doing a remodel in our kitchen. We designed our kitchen around this (what we thought to be beautiful refrigerator) just to have our new wood floors ruined by this POS! The ice maker dumps ice everywhere. Water runs and freezes under the drawer to the point we cant open the drawer. Then it runs all over the floor and under the fridge. Weve called customer service several time to no avail. The install of my dishwasher by a Samsung subcontractor in Sacramento, CA was installed backwards. Therefore a flood occurred the next day. I had to call a plumber emergency to fix it and pay out of my pocket. Samsung refused to reimburse. Fridge French door brand new doors do not close properly. Service never showed. Samsung spent an hour on phone not agreeing to service and finally agreeing even though fridge is under a year old. Installers who are from Samsung installed doors incorrectly. Again they refuse to fix. Bins in fridge break within a year and again they refuse to fix. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Its bad enough their appliances are bad but their service is awful and I purchased appliances straight from Samsung not from a store. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. This is the Chefs collection dishwasher. It washes dirty dishes very well, but it doesnt dry them very well at all. I mean there is plenty of water left on dishes after a load, and that is with the DRY+ and Sanitize options on. Many options on this unit, boost certain zones, a flex tray on the top, more than a few load options, but whats the use if your dishes are not dry. Handles a lot of dishes at one time and better organization. Stainless steel outside and inside. I should have done more research before purchasing this unit. If you have the latest technology dishwasher out there, you would expect it to perform like one. This one did not.

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... The fridge, range, and microwave work well so far but STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS! ...or anything they should make that requires water. God forbid they start making hot tubs!

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

I got Appliance package and Ice machine gets stuck about once week on refrigerator which is annoying but works good otherwise. But stove after about year/year and Half started glitching out on display, which go online and see this is common problem other experience due to Poor motherboard/Motherboard issue.Which after never having issue thought it was huge telling factor that when I finally have issue Samsung says, We can connect you with service company. They will charge you $200 just to come out diagnose the issue, when I could by a new range for twice that, as that did not include parts depending on what is needed or labor. Not a FAN, would say Stay away from Their Appliances altogether. They are still figuring it out and not very helpful. In 2013 we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator French door up and down. We paid 2,999.00. First we had the ice bucket replaced twice. This took several months each time to get a service order number. The problem existed. Finally the third repairman told us there was a Freon leak which couldnt be fixed. In March 2015, Samsung finally agreed it was a manufacturing problem and we would be refunded the full amount of our purchase price. I have made well over 50 documented calls to find out when we would receive our check. We have been without a refrigerator for over three months. Each time I call, I speak to a different person. I have been told I would receive a satisfaction survey many times which I have never received. We are still waiting for our check which was apparently mailed over a month ago. This whole experience has convinced me Samsung does not care one bit about their Customer Service. We have many Samsung products. I now pray nothing happens to any other Samsung product. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator instead of another brand for two reasons. One I liked the french door in the middle, and second we had numerous other Samsung electronic products and they performed well. That was our first mistake. Just because a company makes a good Television doesnt mean they know how to design and build an equally well performing refrigerator. About all I can say about it is that it does freeze but from there on forget it. The ice maker and in particular the dispenser suck. The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances - Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave - they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in September of 2009. Since then, I have found puddles of water below the vegetable drawer large enough to soak up with a large bath towel. The temperature sensor went 6 months later so it became warm inside the fridge, and my food rotted. The defrost sensor also went at the same time so a huge chunk of ice formed on the back panel clogging everything. I had to pay $298 out of my own pocket to fix these issues on a new fridge and guess what, it still leaks water all over my beautiful hardwood floors! The worst part is the customer service at Samsung. I was on hold endless times forever. I was promised a call back from a supervisor within 48 hours which never happened. When I called back after 3 days and demanded to speak with a supervisor, after reporting Samsung to the BBB, I was told that I can continue to fix the refrigerator at my own expense because it is out of warranty! The man on the phone was very short with me and rude and dismissive because the fridge was 3 years old! As if a three year old appliance has a right to be breaking down constantly! I asked for a refund of the $1,400 I paid or for a new refrigerator, and he all but laughed at me. I will never buy another Samsung product again!

We bought a Samsung refrigerator (model Number Rf263BEAESR/AA) at or about the 25th of November 2016. At about the two-year mark, the icemaker started having problems. It was not making ice. At first, if I chipped off the built-up ice, it would produce ice again (this was a constant battle). After a while, it stopped producing ice at all. We called Samsung, and they agreed to pay for the ice maker to be replaced, but not the service. I want to thank you for that! You (Samsung) did not tell us that the icemaker had been having problems across the board, nor did you mention the icemakers class-action suit. If Samsung knew that the ice maker was faulty, why didnt they pay for the service call in addition to replacing the icemaker?A little while ago, the refrigerator stopped working, pools of water running out of the fridge, and would not cool. The Freezer still works, though. Full disclosure we have had this refrigerator for about 3.75 years. Samsung said they would have a repairman come out. They could not reach a Samsung qualified repair specialist. When contact was made, we were informed that they would not make a service call to our house, too busy. Samsung encouraged us to find a maintenance specialist, and if the motor or the compressor were faulty, they would cover it.We contacted a local maintenance specialist who could work on Samsung refrigerators. He informed us he could fix it but that he was not going to guarantee the work. He also stated that chances are we would have to repair it soon after. Today we were forced to buy a new refrigerator. Samsung has had significant issues with their refrigerators. ** I would not buy a fridge made by Samsung.

2005 Samsung microwave -SE- on display. Microwave high end that has an auto cook for types of food. I saw the post about the sensor and read others online for only 10 min. Said it was a humidity sensor that was shorted inside microwave, not a panel. My microwave was totally unusable. No buttons worked and unplugging power had no effect. I am fairly good at fixing things. And it said that you had to replace sensor. But after about five min., I remembered what I last cooked. I cooked corn. I bet that sensor is dirty. Inside on the ceiling of the microwave is a small 1/4 inch hole that the sensor fits. I sprayed it with aerosol isopropyl alcohol. Instant! : 0 on display, the -SE- was gone. The sensor was dirty and caused the microwave to lockup. I did not use but can suggest maybe a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. A spray worked for me. My microwave is working. I had a 32-year old refrigerator and NEVER needed a repair or new part. I bought a Samsung only because I remodeled a small kitchen and needed a relatively small refrigerator for the intended space. I have owned it less than two years. Water accumulates under the drawers and in the drawers; I need to soak up the water almost daily or it will spill out onto the floor. Samsung told me to contact a repairman in my area. I tried to find a Samsung repairman and discovered that none exist in my area! I will never buy a Samsung product again.

I have had issues with every Samsung appliance that I have purchased (fridge, washer and dryer). My refrigerator ice machine busted after 2 years, water dispenser never worked properly, and now after 3 years the refrigerator isnt cooling. Only Samsung can repair and the cost is astronomical. The customer service sucks. I spent an hour on the phone just trying to get an appointment scheduled. The cost to fix is almost as much as buying a new one. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG!!!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

I purchased my Samsung and the extended warranty. Ive had Sears out here 4 times and they called Samsung. The Sear service tech called Samsung and the rep at Samsung said since its a high volume ice producing unit and the ice sometimes shatters. WTF!!! It produced great ice cubes for the first year! I then called Samsung and talk with management. They have agreed to send a tech from Samsung to have a look at no charge. To call this refrigerator a lemon, Sears has to send out a tech out 4 times and order new parts 4 times, so thats 8 visits! Im now waiting for visit # 5 and need to order parts two more times to get rid of this lemon.Im so pissed off at Sears for wasting my time and making me go through a painful process to solve my issue. Dont buy anything from Samsung, because its junk! I had to replace Samsung Dishwasher after 3 years. Also, read the fine print on the warranty. Im winning this war and next time they come back, I will say order some parts until I hit their quota. By that time I will have cost them close to $1500 in service calls. I would recommend extended warranty on every dishwasher and refrigerator you buy. I replaced the piece of crap Samsung dishwasher with a Bosch and love it and I purchased a 5-year service agreement.

Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBBC/AA- This refrigerator has problems with the ice maker. Ice builds up on the interior of the ice maker and has to be cleared at least once a month. The ice comes out wet and the dispenser in the door leaks water continuously. There is also a problem with water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator and then freezing so you cannot easily pull out your meat drawer. Samsung claims no issues with the unit but from what I see on the internet that is not accurate.Attached is their response: Thank you for contacting Samsung. I see that the ice maker is not freezing, and ice builds up at the top of the unit and cubes come out wet. Also, the water is leaking and filling the reservoir in the door. I know how bothering this issue could be. Samsung does strive to produce quality products and provide best service. However, your experience doesnt reflect this. Samsung products are designed by dedicated and skilled engineers after extensive technical research. We dont have any reported issues with this refrigerator model. Its disheartening to know that you are experiencing these issues. We dont like to see our customers unhappy or inconvenienced; however, Samsung provides 12 months of warranty from the date of purchase. If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you have to pay for the service.A service request was filed for this issue and it was cancelled, as there was no service center available in your area. Since your refrigerator is out of warranty, you may get it repaired locally at your discretion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. This is what I received from them. Interesting fact I already had the ice maker looked at during warranty and there is a service center in my area. So they dont support the product and dont know who they have in the area to repair the product. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. No support.

I chose to upgrade my kitchen, new cabinets, flooring, ceiling, walls and appliances. Now, my old refrigerator was about 10 years old and I never had one issue with it, I just wanted everything to be stainless steel. I happened to go with the Samsung French door refrigerator because I liked the way it looked and that it was big enough to store a lot of food in the refrigerator, as well as the freezer. If I would have known that I would have half the issues I have with it, I would have never of purchased it. Why would I want to buy it if every other month, it has to be defrosted so much so that I have to store my food at someone elses house because the whole refrigerator/freezer/icemaker shuts down and takes 24 hours to get back to the right temperature. I have been a homeowner for over 18 years and I have never been more disappointed in an appliance as I am with this refrigerator. I paid over 2,000.00 for it and I am so ready to put it out as junk!!!!

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

Samsung was great at first, they were able to get a repairman out within two days. Repairman came to my home, looked at my dishwasher and told me I needed a new circuit board. He would have to order it and come back sometime next week. Okay great. Here’s where things went downhill. He proceeded to tell me I needed to hire someone to come uninstall my dishwasher so that he can work on it. I will then have to hire someone again to come out and reinstall it once Samsung fixes it. I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

We bought a french door refrigerator (RF323TEDBSR/AA) in August 2015; In May 2016 the fan started to make a funny noise. In June the fridge stops cooling. Freezer works fine. We called Samsung, no complaints about the customer service, however the communication between Samsung and services provider is really bad. The first one said our manufacturer warranty was expired in March 2015, but we bought the fridge in August. Second service guy came over; very pleasant guy; changed the defrost panel. It has been exactly a month that they changed the back panel, and the noise from the fan going against the built ice came back. We called Samsung again yesterday, then I decided to check some reviews. I start thinking we made a bad choice buying this product. We have few others, washer, dryer, stove and microwave not installed yet.

The Samsung French Door Refrigerator has been a great refrigerator with the exception of the icemaker. The icemaker freezes over so it wont make ice. You have to thaw it out with a hairdryer for it to work again. Then in a few days it does it again. When it freezes up and you try to dispense ice, water leaks out of the dispenser. We cant find a repair person who will work on it. Contacting the Samsung, we are basically told that it is a known probably; but they cant do anything about it. If you are like me and really like Samsung televisions, dont be foolish and expect the same quality from their kitchen appliances. I purchased an electric range and it is so lacking in every respect. Foremost, the oven burns so hot, every dish burns on the bottom and ALL BAKING is ruined. Its hot temperatures do not correlate to those of the recipes forcing you to remove it ten minutes before the suggested recipe temperature. Even then, the result is a dry brownie or cake... In other words, it overlooks everything. After calling Samsung they threatened me with the fact that if a man comes here and finds it is not a technical problem of the stove, I will be charged. So much for their guarantee and quality. DONT BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES. BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS... They at least know how to bake a brownie like my former stove by Frigidaire. Should have stuck with them. Also the top is horrendous to clean and its hard to read the setting pads.

Another $50 & another week waiting on parts... and guess what?!?! It comes and didnt fix it! It has to be the compressor and Im told I will have to wait ANOTHER week for someone to come out to fix it. This dishwasher dw80j7550ug is a real work of crap. I only saw the reviews too late to see how bad it is. It doesnt clean your dishes. It stinks all the time you open it. Even empty. It doesnt dry your dishes. Samsung says open the door to air dry the dishes. I have to rinse the dishes off extra good. I paid 700 dollars for a dishwasher that I practically have to wash the dishes before I put them in it. Air dry my dishes... I might as well wash them and put them on the counter. Samsung sends repairmen out that say everything is working according to their specs. Dont buy this or any Samsung product. They are the lowest rated dishwashers on the market. I wish they would recall them. Thanks.

The problem still exists. Dispatched another young man on Friday and he noted on my ticket that he adjusted drain hose and that I should have no more problem. Wrong. The light was still blinking. I called again and they gave me a repair ticket number and the phone number for the same company that was out 2 times already and they told me they would not come out because it was not installed properly, How did it work great for 2 months if it had not been installed properly. This service request on a new fridge was a nightmare. Thier service company OMB/friends tek is so unprofessional. They called me to schedule time. Hung up on me the first time. They did not call back, but put in notes that I hung up on them. When I called back, waited on hold 45 mins. Then was disconnected. Called back. Waited 30 more minutes. They pressed que to leave a message. I got a message that voicemail was full and told me to try my call later. They tried again to call me 2 days later. I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TV’s).

RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

RF266AEPN/XAA French Door Samsung Refrigerator looks great but is not reliable. Paid $1500 5 years ago and numerous repairs since. 03/14 icing in the refrigerator vents began, called Samsung support and they acted like this was the first time they ever heard this. I learned later its a common issue. Service Ticket **- no one called back or showed up. Refrigerator started making a lot of noise and some water appeared in refrigerator. I learned the Samsung refrigerator Series RF267 has an ongoing issue with freezing up and icing over the fan and evaporator coil. Class action suit.04/14/14 Called Best Buy Geek Squad technician who removed back of Samsung refrigerator and attempted to defrost back of defective design. Remove inside back panel, inserted $4 part to prevent refreezing and replaced original back with broken styrofoam insert. Ice still remained in cooling vents 2 days later and still is icing up. $162.38 service call. Either Best Buy or Samsung should cover charge of full repair or replacement for 2-year-old French door refrigerator that clearly has a poor design and many complaints online. Problem continued so we periodically defrosted the refrigerator to clear ice from coils. Contacted Samsung again 09/17/14 and was told by Sherlyn: There are no reported issues with the unit. Ha! Representative Sheryln assigned the transaction number ** and forwarded it to Executive Customer Relations department. No helpful response, credit, or repair. We contacted Best Buy/Geek Squad again and for $400+ they replaced the inside back panel of the refrigerator, door seals, fan, etc. After a horrible experience and almost $700 in repair bills we hoped to put this behind us and enjoy our beautiful stainless steel refrigerator for a while and we did until the noise started again and the temperature started going up in the refrigerator this week. Now food is in ice chests and I am shopping for a new fridge. Unfortunately there are some pretty bad reviews out there on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc. Will definitely purchase the extended warranty and may go with Costco because of their customer service. Samsung should stick to android phones where they know what theyre doing.

The refrigerator keeps icing up and water pools on the bottom of refrigerator compartment unit is five years old but have been having trouble with it for two years. Last summer, I called Samsung and told them what was wrong. They told me to call a repairman and they were not liable for it cause it was not under warranty. This is a manufacturing defect and is happening to a high amount of refrigerators. After paying $200 to get it fixed, six months later, the same problem occurred. Can the government get involved in this matter? Thank You.

My dishwasher looks nice. It does a good job of cleaning but runs a long time. The size is good but seems very dark inside. We had a problem with it the first year and Samsung did fix it but a year later the same problem. They paid for the parts but we had to pay for the repair. This was the same problem that we had with it the first time. Wish I had bought another KitchenAid.

Within the past 2 years, I had technicians came to my house to service this fridge 3 times! Each time it costed me $250! The coil in the back panel simply froze up and cause the fan to stop spinning! And the temperature drops! I cant believe I did not do enough research before getting this fridge. Please avoid buying anything from Samsung! They are not responsible for their issues and there is a class action lawsuit currently going on with them.
