The only good thing I will say about this piece of junk is that it is a nice looking microwave. I bought it in April 2016 and have had numerous problems. In November 2017 while using the convection oven the door glass shattered out of nowhere. Before that happened it had shut off completely on three occasions and would turn back on in the morning when it cooled down. I have a Geek Squad warranty so they fixed the door in November and since then the cavity TCO has failed twice and burnt the wires along with it. Before I bought this piece of junk I had a GE Advantium that lasted 15 years without a problem before it died. I guess you get what you pay for with the $400 piece of Samsung garbage. Do yourself a favor if you are reading this and do not buy a Samsung.

We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.

WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave
WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave 5 years ago. We have now been told, that the heating element part for our oven has been discontinued and not available. I called Samsungs recommended parts supplier and the part was not in stock. I called two reputable appliance repairs shops and they informed me that the part was discontinued by Samsung and not available. So after only 5 years, we need to purchase a new oven/range. It will not be a Samsung.

Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010
Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010 and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator since we bought it. Same problems as everyone else is having, freezer has ice accumulation and ice maker quit working. Ice accumulation in the vents in the refrigerator causing water to settle under the drawers and on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling. Repairman finally came out the first of December and told us it has a Freon leak but would have to come back and do a dye test to see where leak is. In the meantime he did something to mess up the compressor so he had to order a new one (Thank goodness it was still in warranty). This was before Christmas. Set an appointment to come back January 16, 2015, to replace compressor. Advised us that he would change out some parts (that we had to pay for) but in probably 4 years we will have the same problems because it would be out of Freon again. Guess they cant fix the leak. If the leak cant be fixed it seems like they would replace the refrigerator. Could not go through Christmas without a refrigerator so we had to buy a new one and believe me it was not a Samsung. I have noticed the last time I did the self clean on the oven, it did not even clean it good. Will not buy another Samsung.

Owned Samsung fridge 2 1/2 yrs., water leaked into both produce drawers for some time. After much research, it appeared this is common and not worth the repair attempt so Ive lived with it. Freezer appeared to thaw and refreeze slightly since purchase, does not open adequately, and now has defrosted completely. All food is a loss, doubt I will be able to find anyone who will even agree to work on it. Junk, junk, junk. Period. I would give a negative rating if possible.

We bought our French Door refrigerator less than 4 years ago, for $1,500 from Best Buy, and it has already broke down. We tried to find someone to come fix it and the cost would be more than buying a new fridge. So we bought a Whirlpool from Home Depot for $600 (no frills this time) and hopefully it will last longer. We will never buy a Samsung Appliance again, complete JUNK! They should stick to cell phones.

Shortly after warranty ran out, refrigerator quit. Called Lowes & Samsung to no avail. Finally got it running again, defroster kept getting stuck on and defrosting all of the food in freezer. Not a reliable product at all. It has finally quit for good and it is going to the dump (where it belongs).

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator side by side 5 years ago & my warranty ran out. I had a lot going on here like a tornado and a lot of stress. Im very disappointed in this appliance. Only problems. Fix the ice maker and now the problem is water underneath and ice building up on floor of freezer. And no yesterday my refrigerator part isnt working and now I have to call someone ASAP before my food spoils. My last fridge lasted 10 years I went with Samsung because I heard good things and it wasnt cheap at all!!! Now its going to cost a lot to repair and have someone come and check it out! After this fridge I dont think I will buy another product again. I called shortly after my warranty ended and they said they couldnt help me. I would have to pay. Just ridiculous, in 5 years, so not happy!!!

We have a fancy expensive lemon!! Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!! The bottom freezer doesnt work and continues to leak despite numerous repairs done by Samsung. The side of refrigerator is bulging causing it to get stuck in between my kitchen cabinets. I called the fire department because I was scared of the leak and how hot the back of the refrigerator got. Sears repair has been to my home more than 4 times with no answers. They just replace parts and it still does not work. My next stop is the media if I dont get answer from Samsung.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product after the experiences I have had with this refrigerator model #RFG298HDBP. Water from the door dispenser would drip enough to fill up the reservoir and it had to be constantly maintained. While during the warranty period, the lower icemaker never worked properly or regularly. Samsung sent out a repairman who replaced the icemaker at no charge (under warranty). The replacement was of equal poor quality as it operated for a month or so before problems started. Water would overfill and spill into the ice bin... Finally, we decided to shut off the lower icemaker. The warranty had expired and I was not going to pay for a service call because I was beginning to see more problems on the horizon. The upper icemaker would produce ice at a much slower pace, but we survived. Then the water leaking into the meat/cheese drawer began. Puddles of clean water that you could splash in the drawer... I started keeping a hand towel at the back to absorb the water and every few days I would replace the water soaked towel with a dry one. Sometimes the wet towel is frozen stiff. Then, a layer of ice was developing under the meat drawer! Water was dripping under it and freezing up. If the layer built up enough over a weeks time, you would have difficulty sliding the drawer in and out and closing the drawer. As a new maintenance routine I take contents from the drawer, pull the drawer completely out of the refrigerator, scrape out the ice on the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet, then put the drawer back in. Can you believe this? Many of my fresh vegetables are freezing (ruining) in the refrigerated section... not in the drawers but sitting on the shelf. At least once a week I have to go through the de-icing routine, maybe more often depending on the ice build up. As of yesterday, the door dispenser of ice and water has stopped operating. Nothing comes out of the dispenser. Zero.Like everyone else on ConsumerAffairs, I called Samsung who referred me to their service center. I do not care to put anymore money into this lousy lemon. I would feel so guilty to sell this second hand to anyone else! But I dont want it anymore! I have never, never, never had such a terrible appliance. When we spent several thousand dollars to buy this Samsung refrigerator, I had waited a long time to buy something that would last a while and be maintenance free. This has been anything but what I had hoped for. Wheres some help from our government to act upon the company that is stealing from consumers???

I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator for Home Depot September 2014. It was running fine until I noticed paint bubbling on the edge of the door. I contacted Samsung September 2015 - it was several days before the anniversary of the refrigerator delivery date. I advised the door with the ice dispenser paint is bubbling along the edge. I sent photos. Samsung declared it cosmetic damage. I was not satisfied. They said to have a tech come out and inspect. Budget Appliance came out and said, yes the door was defective. They suggested a replacement of the unit as they believed it was not sound. Samsung refused. I contacted Better Business Bureau. After BBB contacted Samsung they agreed to pay for replacement parts and I the cost of labor. Another technician came out on March 1, 2016 and said yes the door needed to be replaced. I received a new door on March 16 and I refused it because it was black. I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue and Samsung could have resolved the issue promptly with either a new refrigerator or door. Now according to the parts department it may take up to 8 weeks to get the replacement door in white. It will be May 2016 before this is even close to being taken care of. Samsung expects me to pay almost $300 in labor because of the faulty design. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Their customer service is rude and their service company they use is in Bogota, Columbia. They took over 4 days to track the wrong part that was ordered.

Samsung RF262AEWP/XAA Freezer side rails failed TWICE. Within the first year, the freezer side rails failed. The ball bearings all came out. And the rails had to be replaced. That was two years ago. Now, it just happened again. Unfortunately, the fridge is no longer under warranty. I now have to call for a repair and the rails alone will be upwards of $75 each. It is recommended that both rails are replaced at the same time, and the authorized Samsung repair center refused to tell me if I would be charged the Samsung list price of $75 for each rail, or if they had a higher price.

I am informing the consumer that I tried to get a refund on my money from Samsung refund department claims for the food that was spoiled in my Samsung refrigerator this past Christmas. I ask to speak to a supervisor about this matter. They refused to put me with that contact and forced me for herself to handle the problem and forced me to have a technician come out. I have had a default ice maker (I assumed because I never did get a technician from PC Richards) and coolant problem arise recently, and to add a 400 dollar grocery bill that had to be put into the garbage on Christmas Day. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

Buy this fridge if you do not care about hygiene and germs brewing in your fridge. Grime gets stuck in every bin and drawer with no means of cleaning the nooks and crannies. We bought this refrigerator when we built our new home back in July 2012. From day one, the ice maker didnt work right. I found myself waiting for ice for what seemed like forever. As time went on, it made less and less ice. Then it stopped making cubed ice and it almost was the consistency of a snow cone. Then another issue with it spitting out a good amount of water before the ice would come out, leaving water on my beautiful new hardwood floors. Not to mention it usually got all over myself as well. One day I noticed that the door was not in the track, allowing the cold air to leak out around the doors. I thought this might be why we were having the ice maker problems. So I gave it another week to see if the issue would resolve itself after fixing the doors. It broke... I dont know what in the world happened, it just stopped working altogether. So I called the company and after telling them I was completely done with this refrigerator and the constant ongoing issues, I wanted it fixed ASAP. The service company they referred me to said they couldnt come out for a week. I find this unacceptable on many levels. So I called Samsung again to tell them about the delay. They informed me that I would be hearing from an executive team member in 24-48 hours. Three days later, I called them because I never got a call. The employee apologized, took note of my complaint and assured me I would hear from someone in another 24-48 hours. Here I am, 3 days later, and I am yet to get a phone call. Like many other of the complaints I read, I too have had to eat out and spend countless dollars. And of course I had just gone to the grocery store the day before it broke completely. I will never buy another product from this company and I definitely would NEVER recommend Samsung to anyone.

On August 16th, 2015 our new Samsung refrigerator model number RF28HMEDBSR/AA leaked water all over the kitchen floor. We contacted the Samsung customer service number listed on the refrigerator door. 1800-726-7864. After being prompted through a maze of extensions and holding for 20 minutes we were told our refrigerator was no longer under warranty even though it was less than one year. They said they would send out a one time courtesy service call. A week and a half later a third party service company arrived and diagnosed the refrigerator as having 3 defective parts that needed to be replaced. He ordered the parts which took another two weeks. During this time we submitted our purchase receipt to correct the date of purchase and show the refrigerator was still under warranty. The new parts were installed and we thought all was well. Two days later, the refrigerator leaked again. It has been 3 full months now and the refrigerator has leaked water all over the floor 27 times. The Tech Pro Plus company (972-241-6413) Samsung hired to repair their product wont answer their phone and dont have a message leaving option. Samsung wont reissue another work order number to a new service provider because they have already paid Tech Pro Plus even though Samsung cannot get though to Tech Pro Plus either. Samsung says if they issue a new work order with a new repair company, it would be out of warranty and we would have to pay for the repair. Please help?

I purchased and installed this Samsung SMH9187st Over-the-Range Microwave Oven in May 2010. It operated with no problems until May of 2014 when, after a short period of use, the oven would lose all power - as if the plug had been pulled. Power would restore itself after several minutes, or sometimes several hours. This continued intermittently for a couple of weeks until I had a chance to investigate further.I disassembled the microwave. (Plastic parts in this oven are very thin and cheaply made. Although I was going slowly and carefully, I cracked the top grill in several places when removing it and had to glue it back together.) With the control panel removed, I observed two thermal cut-off switches on the bottom of the unit. One of them had what appeared to be burn marks on the plastic wire insulator. I started the microwave (with the control panel moved to the side but still connected) and noted that shortly after the timer finished and the oven shut down normally, a small spark occurred at the location of the burned insulator, and all power to the oven was lost. Additional sparks were seen at 10 to 30 second intervals until I unplugged the unit. Upon disconnecting the wire where the spark was occurring I noticed that it had been improperly installed. The metal connector at the end of the wire (inside of the plastic insulator) had not been clipped onto the metal lug of the thermal cut-off switch. Instead, it had been wedged between the wire connector and the plastic insulator, resulting in a poor electrical connection, arcing and overheating. I reattached the wire connector to the metal lug of the thermal switch, firmly pushing it into place so it was attached just like the other wire connection on the switch (see attached picture). That seemed to fix the problem. The bad connection must have occurred at the factory since the oven had never been repaired or disassembled since I originally purchased and installed it. After four years the plastic insulator deformed and melted enough so that the already weak electrical connection overheated enough to trip the thermal cut-off.I checked other connectors in the oven and found a couple of others with the same problem, so I fixed those as well. So, here it is two years later and the microwave has stopped working again. I opened it up and quickly saw that yet another wire has completely burned through and is hanging loose. Its going in the trash. I cant risk having this appliance burn down my house.

We had repairman come several times while it was under warranty and they never got anything fixed? They said that’s just the way they are. Really? Back of refrigerator, behind panel, freezes up all the time and I have to defrost every few months. Drawer that holds the ice freezes shut and can’t open it. This refrigerator sucks. I would NEVER buy another Samsung product ever, EVER again and certainly would not recommend you do either!!!!

Purchased a Samsung Gas Range from Home Depot on June 28, 2015. We had the range approximately 6 weeks and the oven in the range wouldnt heat above 150 degrees. We contacted Samsung and asked for a repair. Service technician came out and replaced the circuit board with what I believe was a refurbished board. Not long after this repair we contacted Home Depot and Samsung to let them know that the oven was still not heating correctly. The oven was not reaching the selected cooking temperature. We told Home Depot and the Samsung Customer service we wanted the oven replaced. Home Depot said we had to deal with Samsung. A service technician from Samsung came out again and told us that the oven is calibrated to reach the temperature that we select. In other words, we had to set the oven temp. to 375 for it to heat to 350?We again complained to Home Depot and Samsung and nothing was done to replace the oven, the oven purchased was an $800 oven. Now the oven will not heat past 150 degrees again. We contacted Samsung and they want us to pay for the repair. I explained that the oven never worked as it should from the beginning. Samsung said, Your warranty is up. I said the oven failed on warranty and never worked correctly from day one. We are experiencing the same problem over and over with the oven. I have contacted Samsung at least 4 times and I am getting a run-around. The case Number/Ref Number is **. It is obvious that the oven was a lemon and should have been replaced. If this oven has failed and never worked correctly this problem will continue. This oven should have been replaced. I have contacted Samsung and they will not offer any assistance. The stove is an inferior product. I wish I would have read the reviews for Samsung Gas Ranges. I would not have purchased.

I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016.
I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. Im told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function. Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasnt necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out. To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didnt work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products dont fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It wont be Samsung.

I purchased 4 Samsung appliances for my kitchen and had to repair 3 out of the 4. But by far, the stove has been the worst. Since the beginning, the stove would not keep the set temperature. I would preheat it, it would hit the set temperature and then begin declining after about 5 minutes. Significantly declining- continuously dropping. I had to have a repair person out 3 times to fix it- which meant I had to wait at home 4 hours each time. I was promised a refund 3 different times when they deemed it irreparable. I would be waiting for my refund so I could purchase a different (not Samsung) oven and would call them back only to be told that my refund had been denied (even after receiving refund acceptance texts) for various reasons. They never contacted me to tell me that it had been denied- just left me waiting. Each time, I was asked to resend a different document (receipt, picture of serial number, etc) that I had already sent them previously. Each time I called (a total of 6 times), I had to wait on hold for at least an hour. I would be promised, promised, promised that they would take care of me and then nothing. The last customer service representative I had even refused to read documentation of my experience to explain my frustration. So...the product is faulty and customer service is lacking. Stay far, far away from Samsung appliances. Hopefully, you will learn from my mistake.

Bought a Samsung French door bottom freezer from Sears a couple years ago and the crisper drawers have flooded/froze from day one. I cant even use either of the crisper drawers at all. This is the worst refrigerator Ive ever owned. I see the same complaint all over the web. Where is the class action lawsuit for this problem? Sign me up. I will never own another Samsung and I make sure I tell anyone I hear shopping for a new refrigerator to steer clear of any Samsung. I cant describe how much hate I have for this piece of junk I paid good money for. Buyer beware.

4-door stainless frig doors rusting - Purchased 5/12. Began noticing rust on lower doors within a few months which has since spread to all 4 doors. Requested service 9/14 after numerous calls to Samsung and Lowes with feedback that it was a cosmetic issue and therefore not addressed. Tech visited and confirmed rust on all doors. Cleaning product was approved stainless steel cleaner. 3 other stainless steel appliances in home have no rust (other brands). Purchased at Lowes online. Have been told by Lowes that Samsung doesnt warranty cosmetic issues. This is NOT a cosmetic issue but a moisture issue from inside the unit. Where there is moisture there is rust and potentially mold. For all we know the inside of the doors is covered with mold. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators... engineering/design issues without adequate product/service support!

Bought new at Lowe’s had to have repairman out three times before it was 4 months old. Then again just before one yr warranty was up. Declined the extended warranty and have had trouble ever since. Contacted Samsung and they informed me that there was nothing they could do for me as I hadnt purchased the extended warranty. We have had this fridge for a year and a half and it is still not working and leaking water. We have already spent close to $500.00 in repairman costs and still no help. Do not buy any Samsung appliance unless you have money to burn. This isnt right. My husband and I are considering contacting an attorney in this matter. We didnt spend the money for this fridge to have to buy it twice.

In September 2017, we purchased the top of the line Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot thinking it would be the last dishwasher we retirees would buy. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the model because my husband threw the manual and paperwork away in disgust three weeks ago when, after two years and four months we sent the dishwasher to the dump. It needed a new pump and the repair would be so expensive we might as well buy a new one. Our model had the storm surge feature, if that helps identify it. Also, the racks were starting to rust. The clean was not as good as the Whirlpool we replaced it with for half the price. We also bought a refrigerator at the same time. We’re attempting to join a class action suit because the ice maker leaks and the ice compartment freezes into a solid block and Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I’ve learned that Samsung, LG, and even some GE appliances use the same inferior parts. I bought Whirlpool because that’s what the repairman owns. But I bought a Lowe’s 5 year warranty on my $326 dishwasher (sale price) so that I’m covered. I distrust the company warranties and their planned obsolescence. Start talking to your friends and associates, I’ve found three others disgruntled with their Samsung appliances. Personally, I would pay a small fortune for an appliance with parts and manufacture in the USA. I’m old enough to know major appliances that lasted 30 years and more. Remember when Made in the USA was a guarantee of quality? Not assembled in the USA with parts made in Mexico or China. Thank you for allowing me to vent, and please don’t buy Samsung.

We bought a Samsung Appliance package in September 2014. I have not been happy with any of the appliances. You must wash the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, or the food will still be on them after a heavy load cycle. I do love that dishwasher is super quiet, which is the reason I was attracted to it. My Range makes a rattle noise when the fan kicks on, and I do not believe it cooks as well as my previous unit. My microwave sensors are WAY off, and we have tried to fix, but again, either the popcorn burns or pops 3 kernels. It too rattles. These are all issues I can deal with.My biggest issue is the refrigerator. We are currently on our FOURTH unit. The first unit would only cool to 42 degrees. The second unit wouldnt even power up when they brought it out. The third unit the doors would not close completely even though they worked and tried to adjust. Installers said the brackets were not aligned correctly. So, I finally after months of hassle get a new one. Whew... Or so I thought. I have had 5 service appointments to fix the same issues on this unit and am still having issues. When I contacted Samsung today, I was told they were sorry, but it was out of warranty. Even though the issues are documented. We escalated and were told they would do us a one time favor to have another technician come out. Im not sure why. It is clearly a design flaw. My ice is slush, I always get about a 1/8 cup of water first before hitting the ice button due to the melted ice. The ice drips to the bottom of the panel and then freezes like a rock jamming the ice maker. I am told that it is due to putting groceries in my refrigerator (someone PLEASE tell me this is NOT the answer I got!) What are you supposed to do with a refrigerator if you cannot put groceries in it!?I was also told that the low ice production was not due to melting (mind you I have puddles of water) but due to overuse. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and use a very minimal amount of ice. If it cannot keep up with our demands, it should not even be an option! I use the power freeze and power cool button when we stock the fridge to keep it from warming down too much, as the last technician recommended, but this isnt the answer either. Id love to have my $3K+ back and go back to my ugly, but extremely useful old appliances! The pages of reviews tell me this is a lemon, but Samsung refuses to do anything about it!

We moved into a townhouse with Samsung Appliances - stove, refrigerator and microwave. The refrigerator periodically buzzes so loud it is obnoxious for a relatively new but out of warranty refrigerator at 6 years old. (Our 22 year old Kenmore at the family cabin is still as quiet as the morning dawn.) I was told by Samsung help to connect the ice maker and the buzzing noise should go away. I had to hire a plumber to run a water line to the refrigerator and connect it. $500 later, I still had a buzzing refrigerator. I called Samsung and was informed the only thing they could offer was their authorized repair service to come out to our seasonal Minnesota townhome and fix it as it is out of warranty. Unique Services Repair Tech came out and felt like the noise was fan-related and recommended replacing fan. Part needed to be ordered, Tech returned a week later, installed and another $500; today we still have a buzzing refrigerator. Called Samsung and a different Unique Services Tech visited over a week later and said the refrigerator is just noisy and the noise cannot be eliminated. We have spent $1000 and still have a buzzing refrigerator. We should have been told that the Samsung model we have runs loud and it cannot be fixed. We would have bought a new refrigerator. The first Unique Services Tech should have told me our refrigerator model runs loud and we cannot fix it. Instead, we spend $365 for a new fan plus the service call $’s charge for a part not needed. Both Samsung and Unique Services are yet to reply to my bad experience. I suspect both Samsung and Unique Service Repair are better than this. From a Customer Service standpoint, I am disappointed at being blown off by their non response to my communicated concerns.

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

I have always been a fan of SAMSUNG products, so when I was gifted with a refrigerator I decided to upgrade my other appliances to SAMSUNG during Christmas of 2020. Installation was very quick. Trust me when I say SAMSUNG did not disappoint. My range is an electric ceramic top with convection model. It bakes very nicely and the cooktop cooks nice and evenly. Although it seems as though the bottom drawer is not as deep as my other range, it seems as though the inside of the oven was a little bigger. In regard to appearance, although stainless steel seems to be the rage right now, I opted for white and it is just as sleek and attractive. It is easy to use, easy to clean and I could see myself purchasing SAMSUNG appliances again!

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. We purchased our Samsung dishwasher in late 2014. It needed repair within three months when water was not pumping out of the bottom of the unit. The repairman said that it was a common problem... so common that he usually had several of the replacement parts on his truck. This time he didnt so it took two trips so there was a total of almost two weeks without the machine. Since then the dishwasher has been very noisy and I should probably call the repairman again but I figure something else will go wrong sooner or later. We did purchase a Lowes extended warranty. I find that the machine is hard to load. Perhaps I should have taken one of my plates to the store to try it out. Moved in a new house around 2012, fridge model is RS263TDRS - its a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator that at the time cost at least $2500 cad if bought brand new. Anyways, at the 2-year mark, the fridge started making loud noises and water and ice is building up on the bottom drawer on the fridge side and water would fall out almost everyday, which damaged my hardwood floor. I did some research online and realized it is probably caused my ice build up inside the fridge, and I opened the back part of the fridge and its all frozen inside. Spend hours defrosting the ice with a hair dryer and out everything back in. Everything worked for about a week and water is falling out again. Suddenly the freezer just wont cool and now Im stuck with a barely working fridge.

The stove is great and the heating element works well. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy and had installed late Jan 2014. Once installed had service come out to the house FOUR (4) times to repair. Would just stop working. It never cleaned that well. Glasses always came out dirty. So here we are AGAIN, the dishwasher has stopped working but because we are now over a year they say our warranty is out and refuse to fix it. If you buy a brand new product and within the first year need service 4 times, dont you think there is an issue? And its convenient that the last time they came out they said if we needed service again they would just replace it... Its pathetic Samsung does not stand behind their products. But I guess they really dont want to because its crap. And in my opinion, my warranty shouldve started over every time they had to come out and repair it.

There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

I did a kitchen remodel in December 2013. I bought all new appliances and was really impressed with the Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA model. In just over a year of having it installed, the dishwasher would stop after about 20 minutes and the delicate light would flash. I called Samsung and they said it was my drain line. I had someone come out and check my drain line, but that was not the problem. I called Samsung again and explained my situation. I was told that if I used their service center and if it was deemed Samsungs fault it would be repaired. I agreed and paid $110 for the service company to come to my house. He told me that the motherboard has gone out in all of these models but usually within the year. Since I am a single person and dont wash dishes as much as most families it just took it a little longer.I called Samsung again after they received his report and basically was offered to buy a extended warranty. When I refused, I was offered for the part to be paid for but not the installation. Customer Service is horrible. Every time I called they said I would get a phone call regarding their customer service but as of today there has been no phone call - guess they really dont care. Its a shame that they dont stand behind their product - if the motherboard had been replaced in this model I should have received something within the year of buying it stating there was a problem and they were willing to replace it. Car manufacturers recall their product when they see a problem and is willing to repair/replace product.

Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. I have owned a Samsung French door, bottom freezer, model RF197ACWP for a year and a half and have had pooling of water under and inside the crispers and a layer of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer. This is apparently a common problem with this model, a manufacturing defect. I have never experienced any issues with any refrigerators I have owned in such a short period of time. The last refrigerator I owned lasted 15 years without problems and the one before that 20 years! Also, just after a year with this inferior product, the white door handles started to peel, exposing polished chrome or steel. I thought the cosmetic damage was the worst of my complaints! Little did I know. I will not consider buying Samsung products again, as its customer service is unresponsive in addressing complaints.

I have had my refrigerator for just over four years and luckily only serviced once. I only purchased a four year warranty (Lowes) unfortunately and now my ice button does not work. I also do not have all the door shelves having the first one break within 6 months of purchase. It looks as if this product is a piece of crap and my money would be better spent in saving for a replacement.

We bought a Samsung Refrigerator, model RF260BEAESR, under 5 years ago. Its cooling system completely failed one night ruining the entire contents of the fridge and freezer. We are a family of 5 so it wasnt half full either. Since then there have been 3 repair attempts with each resulting in more part failures and more parts ordered. It produces a horrendous chemical/oil stench when plugged in and I cant imagine thats ok to breathe for my three children. Its been a month with no fridge and enough is enough. Just replace the thing already, admit it was a terrible product and lets move on.DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS. All repair persons have said same thing, terribly made, they do not last, and they are a pain to deal with. Save yourself the headache and go with a different brand. Hopefully Lowes will honor their warranty and replace the lemon already and do the right thing. Thats why we bought the warranty and why they are offered, right????

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I believe we have lots of people with these issues and the only solution is to replace the refrigerator. I CANT AFFORD TO WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I have never written a online review before, but feel compelled to warn consumers regarding Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung, over the range Microwave from Home Depot (Model #SMH181613) in December 2013. The microwave stopped working in March just three months after the warranty expired. While I did not expect the microwave to last forever, 15 months is a short life for any appliance. This would not be so bad if I had not also purchased a washer and dryer made by Samsung. The washer does not get clothes clean no matter how few clothes you put in the washer or how carefully you follow the instruction for washing. My family take their clothes to the Laundromat!

I have a Samsung French door refrigerator model #rf26vabbp. It is about 6 years old. It constantly freezes up in back. I had technician come out in first year but it was unthawed before they got there and worked again. I called Samsung and their suggestion was to turn off and let unthaw and a technician could come out. I think should be recall because so many of these refrigerators have same problem. I do not think should have to clear refrigerator out every other month to unthaw and fix problem.

Bought a dishwasher around Jan. of 2013. Within 5 months, the controls and keypad were dead and unresponsive. Took forever to find a guy who could service Samsung in my neck of the woods. He declared the motherboard dead and said I needed a new one (total of $120 for part and labor). Dishwasher worked fine for all of about 3 months and the exact same thing happened again. Piece of **. I refused to keep spending $120 to keep $600 dishwasher running. So I blew it up on my gun range and went out and bought a Bosch - which has worked beautifully for 3 years.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator in August/September of 2013. Within 2 months, we heard a loud buzzing noise. We did not initially know that it was coming from the fridge so we took apart our house trying to figure out where the noise was coming from and figured out that indeed, it was coming from our new refrigerator. We called for service, which required me to miss work to wait for the repair. The fan was full of ice in the back and the technician had to order some part to replace which did not come until the following week. I had to miss work (again) to get the part installed back in and thought that everything was fine. Nope! Two months later, the noise is back and louder this time. We called for service again and this time around, the ice situation is horrible in the back of the refrigerator. At this point, I am positive that there is a defect with this product so I requested for an exchange. The rep on the phone keeps telling me that it is their policy to have the technician out there a certain number of times before the exchange can take place. I can generally understand that but if a product had a serious performance issue within the first two months of use and has the same issue despite the fix, shouldnt Samsung stand by their products and remedy the situation for the customers? What about all the food wasted and the time wasted off work for someone to sit at home trying to wait for a service man to come for a new fridge? There is definitely a temperature issue with the fridge every time the ice forms in the back. Is Samsung going to take responsibility if anyone in my family gets food poisoning from eating food that was not properly refrigerated? This is just not acceptable in my books and I will probably never purchase or recommend a Samsung fridge again. They do not stand behind their products at all. If you sell a lemon, there is a need to refund or exchange the product within a certain time period as a consumer should not be hassled for your product defects.

On that day they postponed again Oct 4th. So Ive been leaving in my house without a refrigerator since then and the worst is that they have the refrigerator in the warehouse but cannot install it because they are overbook or whatever. So please you CANNOT TRUST on Samsung delivery dates and customer service.

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. It froze up and the plastic bin cracked when we removed it from the freezer. The repairman replaced just about everything that could be replaced in the icemaker and we were charged $1170!!! Within 2 months of that expense, the thing froze up again. The repairman just left, didnt charge since we were within the 90-day period of the first repair. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! There should be a recall, and I should get my money back for having bought their defective product and for the expense of the repairs. The angst and inconvenience should be financially compensated for, too, but I am not holding my breath.

Purchased refrigerator in BLACK finish (RF28HMEDBBC) to coordinate with other appliances in my kitchen. Upon setup by delivery personnel I find surface scratches on the face of the doors that are in even patterns, they agree must be from rubbing during shipping. The salesperson from Lowes agreed to order new doors. Before doing any cleaning of the surface I referred to manual and used only recommended method of cleaning which is damp cloth followed by dry soft cloth. This method leaves swirls on finish plus near the handles I see new scratches apparently from fingernails that have swiped the door while reaching for the handle to open it (nothing else has been near that area except my hands). Also manual suggests polishing the surface once or twice a year but does not say with what product. I called Samsung and they could give me no answer to what product they recommend. The new doors arrive with another series of scratched patterns so obviously the finish is not durable at all! None of my other black appliances (other brands) have any marks and are several years old. Lowes is willing to again order new doors or swap out for another brand. I am writing this as a buyer beware notice and curious if others have had similar issues.

Alluded to this in my earlier rating of the refrigerator product. More specifically, the induction stove is also a hit and miss item. We have purchased VERY high end cookware and find that some cookware works on some of the burners, but it is very hit and miss. We waited until our one year Samsung warranty expired so we dont have to work with their ponderous/painful/frustrating warranty department, and now will work with the extended warranty we purchased from a reputable retailer to see how that works. Again... if its a Samsung my advice is to run. Pick a different deal. These are poor products with extremely bad service.

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. We have not been happy with any appliances especially the Microwave and Range. The microwave has had many problems and now is displaying an error SE and wont work. We have tried to shut it off at the circuit breaker to correct the error. But, that didnt correct the problem. Samsung does NOT stand behind the problem. It seems that these products are designed to only last to the end of the warranty. Nothing beyond. Luckily our dishwasher was not a Samsung and we love it. We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator (model # RFG297AAWP). If any water from the water dispenser does not make it into the cup, it leaks behind the clear protective plastic coating on the refrigerator door. (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back in August of 2014 and started experiencing issues 18 months ago. Water was leaking from ice maker into crisper. Ice maker was also freezing up and required defrosting. Also, the refrigerator began making a churning noise so we finally contacted Samsung to get the appliance serviced. They sent a technician from their authorized repair company (HSN) on 6/1. The representative from the company said that it was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced and should not have any more issues. Within 10 days, the churning sound was worse than ever. Called them back, same technician fixed the issue again. Wrong!Long story short, Ive had several interactions with Samsung and their service company with no positive results. Even though I had $200 invested in the repair with Samsung/HSN, I decided to contact a reputable company to diagnose the issue. They informed me that the service company did not follow the service bulletins that Samsung published. The cost to deploy the fixes that Samsung recommended would be over $1K for an appliance that I paid $2400 for not even four years ago! We are now buying a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy another Samsung product. Terrible product and dishonest company.

The repair helped for about two days and then it was back to leaking. Now it’s been over a month and we still can’t get Samsung to repair, replace, or even return our correspondence. We’ve been stuck in specialty claims, trying to negotiate with the repair company ourselves, who says Samsung won’t pay them, so they won’t come back. 3 year old refrigerator - junked - $1000 to repair leak. We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator in January 2015 and the first refrigerator delivered had to be replaced because the freezer wasnt cooling after it was delivered. A second refrigerator was delivered and installed. Paid $2100. Now, three years old, there was water pooling under the pantry drawer regularly. Requested repair estimates, which totaled over $900 to replace the parts for the leak. After reading so many negative reviews and issues with repairs on this leak (many were unsuccessful and the leaks continued) we decided to cut our losses and replace this piece of junk. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again and would highly recommend anyone considering it. Research reviews from other owners.
