12/24/2017 My wife turn the oven on of our Samsung Range Model # FTQ3531WUX?XAA, about 5 minutes later heard two large POPS. Wondering what the noise was went into kitchen to find black smoke billowing from the control panel. My wife came in about the same time. I pulled the stove away from the wall and my wife pulled the plug out of the wall. Flames were shooting out from the back side of the stove. Was able to extinguish fire and silence the smoke detectors. Luckily we were near or my kitchen, wall or entire house could have gone up in flames. 12/26/2017 I contacted Samsung Corp. I explained exactly what happened and the first thing they asked if anyone was injured. I said NO, we acted fast. They said they would send a technician no charge service call or labor to determine if the cost would be greater the stove replacement. The part (new control panel) with tax came to $179.49. I thought it was cheaper than a new stove so he fixed it and charged me just for the part. The tech said he couldnt believe Samsung would only cover the trip charge and not the faulty part too. Maybe if someone got hurt or my house burned down would they cover it. After we had it repaired I did a lot of research and I am not alone with this faulty problem. Numerous people owning Samsung stoves had fires too. I wrote another letter to Samsung Corp. explaining our situation and asked if I could have the amount of the part refunded. My request was denied again. They gave me a number in South Carolina to call, it was their product liability department. After nearly a half hour explaining our experience they refused to refund the cost of the part and said I should be happy they covered the service charge. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she said no one is above her. So that is our Samsung range story. My advice and my wifes is NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG!!! Your life could depend on it!!!

From the first day it was installed, the door does not close properly. At the top it is out by 1/2 inch and only closes properly when the self-cleaning oven feature is used. Its like there are no springs to pull it in like other ovens that we have owned. Poor design or poor assembly. Dont know???

Ive purchased over the range microwave in May 2010 and in October 2011 (17 months later). The SE note came on the screen. The cost for a technician to come out was $75. This did not include the part or labor to fix it. I went out and purchased another brand of microwave and will never purchase another Samsung item.

I bought my house last year in May. In June when I bought the house had Samsung appliances, I called Samsung in June of last year about the refrigerators ice maker. It leaks all the time every day. I have mold in the bottom. There is water everywhere. They said well if you pay us $85.00 to come out and look at the fridge we will come out. This is totally unacceptable. I didnt buy the damn thing. Just saw the problems you are having with your washing machines, I will get a class action against you about this damn refrigerator if you dont call me and come out and replace this ice maker with one that does not leak. Trust me I will be on social media like you have never seen. You have my phone number. I look forward to hearing from you. This is causing big problems.

We wanted an additional oven to supplement our regular oven; this Samsung fit the bill because it's a convection oven that can roast and even grill meats such as chicken that can sometimes be hard to cook thoroughly without the meat becoming too dry or tough. At 1.1 cu ft it might be a tight fit for Perdue Oven Stuffer chicken or anything larger, otherwise it does its job well. Our microwave is 1700 watts, more than enough for any task from soup to popcorn to roasts, and we saw that Lowe's has our oven, model MC11K7035CG, currently on sale for $299 as of July 3.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in November 7, 2012. The first one I received did not cool immediately. HH Gregg thought they would send someone out to fix it, a 1600.00 brand new fridge. I told them absolutely not, it would be replaced. The fridge was replaced week of Thanksgiving. The problem is that this new fridge the shelves are all cracked as though there is some type of defect in manufacturers plastic. Long story short I have a 5 year warranty with HH Gregg and they stated there was nothing they could do. I feel ripped off by HH Gregg and Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung fridge March 2013 from the brick with stove, and dishwasher for our new home. Within the first 6 months we started to notice water in the crisper - just one side... OK someone spilled something? That went on for a few more months and we started wondering what/why? Went online and was told to contact Samsung, there was a fix to our problem. I called, they sent repair person here Feb 13 2015. Within 3 months it started again called right away. They sent the same part for a new repair - which was the entire BACK of the fridge - this time will do it! That was June 30/15 and we have been calling Samsung now for a few weeks as it started again? When do they come clean and give me a new fridge? This is obviously unfixable and a malfunction of this fridge - what can I do? So far all my calls say sorry already fixed 2x, no more for you??? Not good!!! I have a basic 2 door model - no ice maker, no water, just a fridge with freezer on the bottom. I need help - willing to repair but will it really work this time? Do I spend the money or toss this fridge and refuse to EVER buy Samsung again?

We purchased a new Samsung range just over 1 year ago. We loved it, easy to use and with the removable tray. It seemed like the perfect oven for our needs. I wish I had seen some of these reviews prior to our purchase. I have an error message E-27. The oven shuts down when this message comes up and it struggles to reach temperature. The manual tells us to throw the breaker or pull the plug to reset the oven. We did this and it worked for almost a week, however the problem is back and from the reviews I fear the worst. I thought this was a good product, but Im now wondering what my fate will be.

I had a repairman out and he said it was normal. The top oven isnt made to bake. Are you kidding??? I also purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I like the design but the Ice Maker is crap. Samsung replaced the first one with one just like it. I have to defrost with a hair dryer once a month as it jams up with ice and stops make cubes. One big pain. I purchased this fridge 8 months ago brand new. The ice maker is out again, 4th time since November and it was purchased in June 2014. Samsung will have someone come out to service it, it will last about a month, then its out again. I have to miss work once a month to wait on appliance repair to basically put a bandage on it. I purchased this refrigerator for over $2,000 and I cant even get a working ice maker. Im so angry with Samsung for selling a lemon for a fridge. I could have spent that money anywhere else but I trusted Samsung. I can see how this was a big mistake, one that will NEVER happen again. Samsung should stay out of the appliance business!!

Broke within the 1st year, a stuck float. Got it fixed, float got stuck again but this time out of warranty. My husband has had to pull the dishwasher out to fix 3 times in 4 years! If it actually cleaned dishes I wouldnt be so royally peeved but this dishwasher doesnt even clean dishes. Every load I am soaking dishes with dried on stuff and I rinse my dishes before putting them in. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!! Or refrigerator for that matter. That is another discussion but their refrigerators are awful too!

Warranty work replaced the temperature sensor in the refrigerator (freezer was ok) after less than three years. Now, we have the same problem with the refrigerator portion of the side by side not cooling. Even after the sensor was replaced, the food would sometimes be frozen and other times too warm. I even bought a max/min thermometer to check the temps which fluctuated wildly. I agree this fridge is a danger to health and I have decided not to get it fixed as I will never trust the temperature setting. This is a bad product and Samsung will not do anything about it but send out another repairman and charge me hundreds of dollars. I will not buy this brand again.

Definitely not cheap. 6 months in was the first service call on the Fridge. After 4 calls finally repairman sent out to access a dead ice maker. He shows up & states I need a new ice maker and had to order it. No ** Sherlock! Fixed it on second service call. Now 12 months and Dishwasher makes a loud bang then stops, making only a loud electrical hum. You know that hum, the on that says the pump/motor just crapped its pants. I purchased the stainless steel, refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and ice maker. What a $1300.00 mistake!!! The ice maker has no regulator; so, it only stops making ice cubes when the container is so full that the cubes are spilling behind the freezer. Every time we open the freezer ice cubes slide out from under the door and spill all over kitchen floor. We are constantly wiping up melting cubes and there are always wet areas on the floor. I called Customer Service; I was told it was a design flaw and they are aware of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about it. Seems like an unacceptable answer doesnt it! I certainly wish I had known about this design flaw before making this purchase. Now I am stuck wiping ice cubes and water up every time I open my freezer. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

CAUTION: FIRE: BAD ICE MAKER! Our SAMSUNG Refrigerator has the same ice maker problem everybody else has. We had it repaired once under warranty. After that didnt work, we had it replaced under warranty. Well, replacing the same defective ice maker didnt work either. After contacting Samsung to see if they could help, we were asked to PAY for another ice maker and service visit because our warranty had run out. NOW, today, our ice maker wouldnt stop rotating and was making a lot of noise. When I removed the ice bucket, SMOKE started billowing out! My smoke alarm went off and it smelled like burning plastic. The only way to get it to stop was to UNPLUG the refrigerator.

I am responding to a 12/28/2013 customers input and what he did to service his Samsung Dishwasher. I found his input very useful info as it gave me the confidence to pursue tackling the problem myself. I found the rubber check valve that he mentioned. I did not notice that it was stuck open, but I am assuming it might have been. On my model, DMT800RHS, the valve looks to be removable and replaceable. I did not try to remove it, but I did try to clean the surface with my finger. I also took the opportunity to clean my dishwasher parts thoroughly. There are several areas that trap food particles and eventually the food rots and smells. I will make that regular task from now on as eating food cleaned from an unclean device is as bad as taking a shower in a moldy shower stall... maybe worse. I hope this helps other people out there dealing with this problem.

We bought the refrigerator in November 2014 and from December 2014 to March 2018. I have had the same problem. The ice maker freezes, it leaks from the ice maker and I have to put a towel down... REALLY... I have called Samsung who passes the buck. They asked me to send all my documentation, which I did, then tells me that I need to get someone out there to do a service order and for ME to pay for it.Then they tell me that in Beaumont, Texas there is not anyone that services Samsung anymore and that I need to find someone... then said BYE. Really, everyone on here is having the same problem and Samsung is not doing anything about a faulty appliance. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product. I am appalled by them as a company and cannot believe that they would treat their customers so poorly. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product again. We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesnt work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didnt read any reviews. Will never buy a Samsung product again and I will definitely post on social media and tell everyone looking for appliances to not purchase their products either, what a shame.

We installed a Samsung SMH9187 over cook top microwave in August 2009. I liked the 5 speed fan. The low speed was quieter than others at low speed. Controls stopped working August 2012 so I replaced membrane touch pad - a 3 year life. Now May 2013 (0.75 years later) and no response from touch pad. I just solved the problem. The problem of lack of response to control pad (a membrane switch) was to separate two sections of the control pad cable. The membrane switch type control panel was a film cable that connects to the circuit board. A 7-wire piece folds back on the cable, causing confusion for the control system on the PC board. The solution was to insert a small rolled up paper tube to separate the two cable sections. To test this I removed the paper tube and clipped the cable pieces tightly together. The controls became unresponsive. Separating the cable sections again restored function. This is a quirk in the Samsung design. It may have been unnecessary to replace the first membrane switch ($19). When the new switch was installed, by chance the two cable pieces were separated just enough to work. Then over time they moved together, initially causing some problems, then later total non-function. This problem may cause one to push hard on the buttons to make it work, possibly damaging the switch.Step by Step Instructions: 1. Unplug microwave for safety; 2. Remove 2 vent cover retaining screws from top front of microwave; 3. Push vent cover left to unhook and remove; 4. Remove screw on top of control panel box; 5. Push control panel box up to unhook and remove. No need to disconnect anything; 6. Insert a rolled up tube of paper 2 to 3 between folded back 7-connector piece and the main cable; 7. Re-install control box and test. Then re-install vent cover.Im amazed at all these problems people are having. One would think Samsung would help, but it seems they hide behind warranty is up so call a repairperson. Our last phone purchase was Nokia, not a Samsung, as I have lost faith in the brand.

Lately when I put something into it, as soon as I close the door, the light inside it comes on and the turntable starts spinning. It does not stop if I press the stop/clear button. The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.

We purchased the RF32FMQDBSR/AA 4 door flex zone fridge, from Conns furnishings, in April 2014. We didnt even get 6 months of use from it by the time the ice maker quit working. I called Samsung support, if you want to call it that. They had me go through steps to defrost it and reset the ice maker. It worked for a few weeks, then did the same thing again. I tried to get them to send out a service tech to see if there was an actual problem, while the fridge was under warranty. They would not do it. They said it just needed to be maintained by us. I got tired of the run around from Samsung, so I left it at that. We can live without an ice maker, because by the time Samsung actually wanted to do something about it, our warranty had expired. Imagine that!!!Now, our new problem. A few weeks ago, we noticed milk and food spoiling in the fridge. We thought it had just expired or something, but it had not. The fridge was not cooling past 60 degrees. The front panel said it was 35 degrees, but when I reset the panel it showed the actual temp of 63. No wonder food is spoiling. I called a service tech myself, because I thought our warranty was out. They listened to the symptoms and didnt even send someone out. They told me to contact Samsung, as it was a problem with the sealed system, and it is still under the 5 year warranty. So, I called Samsung. After 3 different phone calls and 3 different ticket numbers, they sent out their contracted service techs. The tech concluded, after a couple of hours of work, that the problem was in the sealed system. I asked him if it can be fixed, and he said he didnt know of anybody that can fix it, due to the flammable refrigerant they used in these systems. Now, Im waiting on Samsung to get their head out of their collective **, and do something about this, as weve been without a fridge for going on 4 weeks now. I will never buy another Samsung product as long as I live.

They may make good TVs but their refrigerators leave a lot to be desired. Our unit is a double front door with bottom freezer. The unit was over $2000 and worked good until the warranty went out. The first problem was the panel where the water/ice dispenses. That unit went out and was quite expensive to get repaired. Since then, the ice maker has quit and now the front of the unit is rusting and looks terrible. See the best effort photo. People come into our house and when they go in the kitchen they ask about the Samsung refrigerator. Then they take one look at the rust on the front and quickly change the subject. I will never buy another and feel like I paid too much for an inferior product.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I bought a Whirlpool fridge 28 years ago. It is still working and so is the ice maker. I should have known better, stick with what works. I will never waste my money on anything that has Samsung on it again.

I bought the new Waterwall dishwasher in July 2014. It worked well for one week. The door wouldnt stay shut. When it was shut steam came out the top and damaged my counter tops. We have had it repaired 4 times. Last night after investigating a moldy smell under the sink, we found black mold and wet wood. It appears the dishwasher has been leaking and we never knew it. I already have a claim with Samsung to replace my counter tops and now we may have to leave the house because of the mold. I called my insurance company who is sending someone out today to inspect. I wish I never bought this dishwasher. Samsung is the worst.

I bought brand new Samsung Kitchen Suite. After 3 months, the microwave started beeping in the middle of the night. Still under warranty, the touchpad was replaced by the technician. 7 to 8 months later, it occurred again - now out of warranty, we looked online. My husband followed the advice of others having the same problem and he unplugged and re-plugged the ribbon cable which worked. Now, about 6 more months and it started again. So he has added an additional piece of plastic behind the ribbon cable to improve the contact. For now it is working. I am very disappointed in Samsung quality and service.

My microwave (SMH9207) that I never took out of the box until about two months ago has gotten this nice wonderful SE error code. Samsung refuses to fix the microwave. They also are saying I bought the microwave in 2010, but that isnt true. The executive slipped up and told me that they actually go by date of manufacture and add two months to it. Next they just keep saying that they are not going to fix this problem even though you can go look anywhere online and see that they are having problems with all the keypads on their microwaves. Next, the tech support people really dont want to transfer you to anyone higher than them. They are smart ** over that. They are not going to do anything for you. Plus, they act like robots and read off the stuff that they have on the screen, and thats all instead of being like real companies and standing behind their product. I refuse to ever buy anything from them again.

DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.

My wife and I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator at Lowes here in our tow
My wife and I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator at Lowes here in our town. 2 days after it was delivered there was a puddle of water inside the freezer (caught before it froze) we called them and Lowes sent a tech out to fix it. Three days after that, we had the same problem, so Lowes replaced the whole refrigerator. 2 months later, the ice maker quit making ice, called they sent a repairman out which took two weeks, and got it fixed. Then about 4 months later, it would not dispense ice, again another call and another repair. 3 months later when I would get ice it would not stop and it would keep spitting out ice, need I say it again? Another repair!!!!! Now we are into a year and a half with this piece of ** and now it overfills the water in the ice maker which then freezes and breaks the ice holder, so at this point Lowes said, Sorry, its out of warranty, you need to call Samsung!!! So I call Samsung, they were very helpful gave me a 1 time out of warranty service repair! So again it takes a few weeks but they replace the entire ice maker. Flash forward 6 months to today, 3/6/14, and guess what? Yup you guessed it, its not making ice at all, so I call Samsung and basically am told its out of warranty and after exhausting all resources there is nothing they can do!!!! Oh I almost forgot, after one of the repairs the service tech left me a spare part, and told me, if the ice maker would not stop dispensing ice, here is a spare part to fix it, and of course it did, so I also replaced it once myself!!! This Samsung Refrigerator is the biggest junk I have ever owned I will never ever buy a Samsung product again!!!

Samsung has very poor customer service, you purchase the product expecting the product to last a while, however, after having it for only 4 months, there are problems. I am not happy with the after purchase customer care, they are not interested in resolving your issues. I was a big fan of Samsung simply because Ive always had numerous Samsung phones, after this issue, I cancelled my phone and purchased an iPhone. I purchased a French door refrigerator RSG309 that has a computerized display, which was my first mistake. I thought, because it was Samsung, it would be okay, I was sadly mistaken. After contacting the customer service center so many times and remaining on hold, being transferred numerous times, having to repeat myself over and over again like a broken record, I gave up. The display does not work, I have to unplug the refrigerator constantly to reboot it so the dispenser can operate properly. This is the worst customer service ever.I am frustrated, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. I definitely plan to seek legal advice because the product is practically new, I purchased an extended warranty and still cant get assistance.

Just after the first year we had our first problem with it... and since then we have spent close to $1000 on repairs. When I phoned Samsung, they just went in circles and said how sorry they were that I was frustrated. Our technician who fixed it each time said that 9 out of 10 fridges that he fixes are Samsung. We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker
We bought all 4 kitchen appliances in black stainless steel. The ice maker plugs and is annoying but the real damage is the microwave. It starts without any intro action. Fan comes on full blast. Research says unplug and then plug it in. It only helps for a few hours. After researching I have found hundreds of reviews with the same problem. The door has been replaced in some reviews but it doesn’t solve the problem. Calling Samsung so far hasn’t helped.Since our warranty is up it is up to me to find a tech in our real area. So far no luck and so how do I get parts? And what good is a new door if it is going to do it again? Samsung knows of the problem when you go to their site for repair it directs you to immediately unplug because it is a fire hazard and go to customer support. The circle begins again - no tech, no part, and I have a unplugged unusable microwave. Samsung should be doing a recall they did one because people were being shocked. Isn’t a fire hazard a reason for a recall?

My shock I found that the plastic grid is lined with Thermocol, obviously it cannot be cleaned properly because Thermocol is a porous material and particles got embedded in the same. My grievance is - why make a grid in the base of freezer compartment which cannot be cleaned by the user? Secondly, why use Thermocol embedded in the grid so it impossible to clean and subsequently it will develop fungus. The design is absolutely defective. In the door of the fridge, there are only two and a quarter racks, why like normal fridges 3 or 4 racks have not been provided?

I remodeled my kitchen 2 years ago and purchased all Samsung appliances. This was the worst decision I have made in a long time. First of all every piece is garbage. What happened to Samsung?? WOW!! But specifically the oven is dangerous. I have considered replacing it since it was brand new because of the fire hazard. My daughters bedroom is right off of the kitchen. I have melted multiple plastic bags and set several things on fire because all the time the knob gets bumped on when you walk by it or reach to the microwave above to and brush against it. One morning when I went in there the burner was on, just barely thank goodness, and someone had put a Krispy Cream box on the stove. The box was brown from getting hot. I took a picture of it. I had three teenagers in the room next to the kitchen. One day Samsung is going to have a HUGE lawsuit on their hands when someone dies in a fire due to the ignorance of their engineers and the refusal of the company to correct the defect. It should be common sense to put as safety on these knobs. I am not surprised to have come across this page. Never will I purchase anything else made by Samsung.

In 2010, we finally upgraded our appliances that we had for over fifteen years. Of course, the Samsung appliances came highly recommended. I did three months of research, even though there were many red flags and negative reviews about Samsung appliances. Thanksgiving 2011, the refrigerator began making a loud noise. Of course, the warranty has expired, but we have purchased extended warranty. So no problem, right? Wrong. The tech could not come until one week later. To make the story short, the issue was finally resolved in Christmas week. May, it’s the same problem. And now there’s an SE error code on the microwave, but no warranty. Samsung contacted a technician and he said it would cost $202.82, about the amount we spent on microwave. Needless to say, I would never buy another Samsung product again and will make sure to let anyone I know of the poor quality products they sell to us Americans who work hard for their money. I do, finally, have a question: if Samsung knows of the problems, why not resolve it before it becomes a class action suit?

Purchased a Samsung fridge RF217ACBP in June 2011 and have the same complaint I am reading over and over. I have had 3 service calls for the same problem, water in the veggie/fruit bins, thick ice under the bins. This time the fan was very noisy and would consistently run. Called Xmas eve and the service guy came out on 12/29, the back panel was completely frozen, had to shut off for 24 hrs, and parts were ordered. When I called on Saturday they were nice, but no help. You need to have 4 repair calls in 1 year to even be considered for a new fridge. I have already told many people not to purchase a Samsung fridge or anything and will never get another one myself. I think they should stick to phones & tablets. Let’s hope what was fixed today will last, but once my master protection plan expires in 2016 (glad I have it) the fridge will be gone. Samsung needs to get their act together and maybe if enough people stop purchasing product they will get the message. NO MORE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES FOR ME!!!!!!

I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. The management company for my apartment purchased for me a Samsung Microwave model 18H704SFS in Sept 2015 from PC Richards. Since purchasing, it has stopped working three times and required service. The problem is with the sensors on the door which have been replaced only to fail again. My old cube microwave (thank God I saved it), which I had for over 15 years, never failed me... and I have had to bring it out of storage each time my new Samsung decided to stop functioning. Wonder of wonders, it still works perfectly unlike my nearly new Samsung.Even though I purchased a 5 yr warranty, all this costs me time in multiple appointments and return visits with parts ordered, not to mention all the phone calls. I just now turned to ConsumerAffairs to read Samsung microwave reviews, something I should have done before I bought Samsung as I see other persons with the very same complaint. I have a Samsung phone which I like. The microwave, however, seems to be a loser. Buyer beware!

My wife and I bought the beautiful new dishwasher and from day one using it the machine doesn’t wash our dishes. If I could give this dishwasher a negative rating I would. It doesn’t deserve a 1 star. We’ve had 3 service calls where techs can’t find anything wrong with it once they run their diagnosis. The tech have given us advice on different types of washing cycles or soap to use and our dishes continue to come out dirty. We’ve even been hand washing prior to putting them in and still come out filthy. Samsung has been horrible to deal with as they just continue to say there is nothing more they can do for us at this time even though they understand it’s not washing. We have had our Samsung Microwave a little over three years, Model No. SMH9
We have had our Samsung Microwave a little over three years, Model No. SMH9187ST. I noticed it had been getting considerably louder the last six months. It is used by two seniors so it does not get excessive use. The nearest repair service for us was 40 miles from our house. They would come to our home to diagnose the problem for $70. We could take it to their service store, and they would charge us $35 to diagnose problem. We were already quite sure it was the magnetron. The manual said it had a 10 year warranty. When taking down our microwave, we found that it had a broken grill. We had never had it apart so we assumed that is how we received it. The fee to repair our microwave was $175.99 (with the part under warranty). We paid in the $300 range for this microwave. The Samsung salesman did not advise us that we were buying a disposable appliance. A bit concerning for us, as at the time we purchased the microwave, we bought the rest of the kitchen appliances... all Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in Jan 2014 model #DW80F600UTB/Aa - Do not buy this!!! First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. After a long hard researching & calling Samsung I was told the issue was the turbidity sensor, I replaced that & it worked for about 3 months. Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). I just got that part but unfortunately the part was bad so I have to send it back for a new one. The bottom line - do not buy this dishwasher. Its horrible. You should stick with G.E. - at least they stand behind their products.

The oven burns the back side of whatever you’re baking or browns much more than the front. If you do more than one rack it doesn’t cook even. The middle will cook but the top and bottom shelves won’t cook the same. The top large eye will get too hot and burn your food. We bought all Samsung appliances for our kitchen and none work the way they should. The service department won’t answer your call or fix things that thousands of people are having trouble with. We will never buy another Samsung appliance.

Terrible design on water dispenser. It actually dispenses back at an angle, making it impossible to fill water bottles, but worse causes a constant drip of water that did not make it into any container. There is no reservoir for overflow, so once the shallow holding area is full, water gets all over the floor, when opening the door. Dont have the model number, but it is the model sold at Lowes in 2012, with French doors, bottom freezer, and dual ice makers.

The shelves in our fridge keeps breaking. Third one is now cracked. There is nothing out the ordinary on the shelves. Samsung is turning a deaf ear to us even though they know it is a widespread problem. They are backed ordered on shelves over a month. Hmm, back ordered that long and there’s no problem? Samsung needs to step up and take care of this before there’s a class action against them.

We bought the RF263AEWP model on August 30, 2011 from Lowes. About a year later, the fan was making a noise. It was blocked by ice build up. We got rid of the food, and defrosted it, with the help of hairdryer, etc. It was fine for a while, then it happened again. We called an authorized Samsung Repair person. He said it would cost over $700 to fix it. We found reviews where other people had this problem and they spent $$ on repairs, only to have the problem come back. So, we didnt pay for the repair person. We defrosted again... Its now freezing up again. Food in the freezer is soft. We are shopping for another refrigerator. If there is a class action lawsuit, we want to be a part of it.

The LOUD popping and BOOM noises! Samsung needs to be held responsible for selling and continuing to sell defective refrigerators for years it seems. I have model RF263BEAESR and the noises sometimes make me jump out of bed! I see after reading many reviews here, that so many people have this same problem. Service is coming out again to fix it, but the fix lasts a week, so what good is that? I bought it from Best Buy with all the rest of the appliances. Its a year of hell now and I am thinking about just contacting the credit card company and let them fight between themselves. I dont even want a new Samsung fridge in return. I want a comparable new one from a total different brand!!! THE WORST!!!

Samsung is 100% the worse product we have purchased in years. We have had a broken dishwasher in our kitchen for over 2 months. The unit broke shortly after purchase and we had to go through warranty. They sent Dish Network repairmen out. 4 times. Each time took a minimum of 5-7 hours. They showed up late, or not at all after scheduling a long window of when they might appear. They never fixed the unit and disappeared after it was establish they would have to replace the unit. We call Samsung and are told someone will call us back. We are also being told they are replacing it with the same unit which seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Don’t do it!

Purchased this RF267AERS fridge in 2012 and the nightmare began almost right away. The fridge was making a loud noise that would stop once the doors were opened. Called for support but since the fridge was out of warranty by 6 months, they would do nothing! This was an expensive model and is a piece of crap. Apparently plenty of people have the same problem with this model. The back wall freezes up and the fan blade hits the ice so if you do not unplug and melt the ice, you risk ruining the cooling fans. What a pain in the neck trying to store food and spending all that time to have the fridge freeze right back up every six months. This month, I have already defrosted it twice and it looks like I am going to have to do it again. All they say is there is no recall. THERE SHOULD BE!!!!!!!!! No other help or advice is given. I was a loyal Samsung consumer but will never purchase another Samsung product, EVER!

The ice maker doesn’t work. Difficult to remove the ice bin. We followed all the troubleshooting instructions. Nothing worked. Our user manual was not up to date and did not show where the “reset” button was located. We called Samsung to complain, were told it was beyond the warranty. They scheduled a service company in our area. We later found out that no service company will touch it in our area due to the problems with the ice maker. The bottom line: We have no ice available in our Samsung french door refrigerator. The ice maker is overly complex, and not user friendly. There are too many ways for this unit to fail. I can’t believe Samsung would allow this kind of a bad customer experience. I guess I know why they had big problems with their phones and washers.

We purchased a package deal at hhgregg in November 2015 including a Microwave Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, and Gas Range. We are not at all satisfied with the range. We had the range service twice in August 2016 due to inaccurate temperature control. Each time they replaced the thermostat, and the also the control board on the second visit.Believing this was an anomaly and no need purchase an extended warranty, we let the warranty expire in November. In February 2017, we began to experience the same issues. The temperature would not stay within the prescribed/published range, the oven would not light when following the proper use methods, and despite following the directions in the manual, the problem persisted. We contact the service department and they sent a tech on March 2, 2017. He had never seen the problem we were experiencing before, contacted tech support and they told him to replace the control board. So now I must wait another week for the board to arrive and be installed. The warranty is expired and despite my protest that they replace the board in August, and it correct failure should be covered, they refuse to do so. Now it cost me $90 for the assessment and another $90 for the next installation service call plus the $150-$200 for the board. When I contacted Samsung they said sorry, nothing they could do. So my message to Samsung, Go to hell. I will bad mouth your product line until I take my last breath. Planned obsolescence is no way to build a future in the U.S. market. We are not fools.

Samsung doesnt believe in customer satisfaction, they dont take responsibility of their faulty, defective products. Doesnt even bother to get it fixed even if its a safety hazard. Bought a gas cooking range year ago, gas is leaking from somewhere inside the oven. They have a worst customer service. They want customer to spend money on repairs, seems like, they are making money from there as well.

We have had our new Samsung microwave (Model ME21H706MQS) for less than 1 month. The turn table has stopped spinning because the glass plate no longer engages with the spinning wheel which appears to have dropped down. The motor still rotates but it no longer catches the plate. When I called Samsung customer support I got a guy that spoke with such poor diction that I had to have him repeat everything 3 times. Waiting now for a service appointment. Keep you posted.

Junk Fridge - Six months old, starts making noise, a serviceman comes out didnt hear it. This happened 3 times. On the 4th time, the serviceman wants to charge me for service call even if it still under warranty, the reason being 4 calls and he didnt hear anything and this is something Samsung agrees with. I told them both there to get off. It is still making noise loud enough to wake me. Now, it just started another noise freezing up. I would not buy another Samsung refrigerator. Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

They wanted me to troubleshoot the issue over the phone. I am not a train tech for this job. I am their customer. This being a safety issue for myself and my kids its unbelievable. I dont recommend and will buy anything from Samsung ever again.

Samsung SMH2117S microwave - Samsung refused after various escalations to repair the SE- error code that made the OTR microwave go crazy. The fan initially kept turning itself on and off constantly, then would show the error code and die. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would briefly fix the issue, but then it just croaked for good. Just a few months out of warranty (of course), and now, for purely the principle, would join a CA lawsuit against Samsung despite the unlikely odds of that happening. Like most others here, we are adding Samsung (and Sony) to the list of god-awful businesses from which we will NEVER again purchase.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator in 2012. It has an external ice and water, along with the bottom freezer and a drawer that has various options. Since 2014, we have had significant problems with the ice maker. The repair person has been here 5-6 times attempting to fix what he calls a manufacturing and engineering defect. Apparently he has seen this problem multiple times. It doesnt make ice, then it makes ice but it all melts and refreezes in a solid block. It continued this cycle over and over until it burned out its fan. Multiple calls to Samsung have gotten me nowhere except that I have now spent nearly $1000 trying to fix a $2500 appliance that is still brand new.

That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. I bought the Samsung electric range NE59J7630 1-1/2 years ago. It has the worst range top I have ever used. It is impossible to get a low simmer on the front burners. It can not be turned down low enough. I had the temperature modular replaced once, but it still can not be regulated low enough.
