RF266ABRSXAA French Door Refrigerator - We paid good money for what we thought was a high-end appliance. The refrigerator quit cooling and iced up. We called Samsung and were told since it was out of warranty, to have a local service tech take care of it. $350 and two weeks waiting on parts, it still has the same problem. Now they say its the computer and control panel... $450 to fix and no guarantee that will take care of it. Samsung has climbed to the top of my Do Not Buy list!

Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made
Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made! I purchased the 'Samsung - 28.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Apps Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless steel -Model:RF28HMELBSR" 3 years ago and have never regretted it. The fridge is a powerhouse with cool features. The drink drawer is SO awesome! It keeps our soda and beer cool and out of the way! It has a mini-touchscreen that plays Pandora, shows our calendar, weather and news, plus has an app for drawing notes. The connection isn't always stable and the phone mirroring app never worked, but I don't care. It's really cool. Keeps the food fresh, the freezer is large and has a drawer for small items as well. The shelves are movable and it looks lovely. I totally recommend it!

Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.

I purchased a Samsung stove from Lowes and also purchase the extended warranty. One day the stove top glass made a pop sound and cracked open. I called the company for repair and they sent a technician over. The technician called the repair company and they decided, dont know based on what, that it is a functional and physical problem and therefore they would not repair it. I have had this stove for 4 years and have been using it according to guidelines. As I explained to the service company personnel Abigael as well as Lowes repair person Keaton, no physical damage was done to the stove glass top; however they still refused to do the repair. I have had GE glass stove top and I have family members and friends that have either Electrolux or kenmore and that does not just happened. This glass top obviously is defective and the company does not want to own up to it.

Model NE59M4310SS. Purchased my stove on May 16, 2019. Stove was delivered June 1, 2019. Only used oven once and the cook top a couple of times. One week later today, the oven and cooktop are not working!!!! The clock is okay so I know that the power is not the issue. I tried several times to troubleshoot to no effect. They cant send a tech out because its the weekend of course. Shame on Samsung for selling me a factory reject. I will never purchase anything Samsung ever again. Buyers note that model number and stay away from it.

I bought a French Door Samsung fridge on 01/07/2017. It was not delivered until 02/04/2017. On 02/10/2018 I called Samsung because the ice maker was leaking and freezing up. They opened a service ticket and told me a service tech would be contacting me. On 02/15 I had not heard from the tech so I called Samsung back they gave me the service centers direct number to call them. I called them today and found out they are going to charge me extra to drive from Provo Ut to Logan Ut. I canceled the service call and I will support the techs in my own area. Samsung said they would not cover it under warranty. There is currently a class action lawsuit that is being looked at for the faulty ice makers because Samsung knows they are faulty and have not fixed the problem.

I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. In November, 2011, just before Thanksgiving, the food side quit working, spoiling food and milk. I called Sears for repairs, about 5 times, getting the run around each time. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. Will they cooperate? **, I dont know, well see. I have the letter from the corporate offices requesting the local store to replace my refrigerator.

Moved in a new house around 2012, fridge model is RS263TDRS - its a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator that at the time cost at least $2500 cad if bought brand new. Anyways, at the 2-year mark, the fridge started making loud noises and water and ice is building up on the bottom drawer on the fridge side and water would fall out almost everyday, which damaged my hardwood floor. I did some research online and realized it is probably caused my ice build up inside the fridge, and I opened the back part of the fridge and its all frozen inside. Spend hours defrosting the ice with a hair dryer and out everything back in. Everything worked for about a week and water is falling out again. Suddenly the freezer just wont cool and now Im stuck with a barely working fridge.

I purchased a gas range on 1/1/2019 and paid $721 for it and that does not include the delivery, install and 3 year extended warranty. I have had a problem obtaining proper temperature since beginning. A service person came out and said there was nothing he could do and I could just change the temperature on my own. I believe the oven bake temp is correct after using the instructions in manual, but the convection oven temp is still about 25-50 degrees off. There is no way to adjust that. I filed another complaint after serviceman and just got a call from Samsung that it is my fault and there is nothing they can do. I got this stove mainly because it was a Samsung and it has a convection bake feature. Now I will not be able to use convection unless I want burnt or undercooked food. I am so angry. I have a Samsung phone, Samsung washer and dryer and a Samsung microwave. Never again. I will never buy Samsung nor will I ever recommend anyone else I know to make the same mistake.

Years back, we bought a Samsung washer, and had an awful experience, but we decided to give them a second try because we have always loved their phones. We bought a beautiful fridge and hoped for the best. It wasnt the case. We just replace our Samsung french door, bottom drawer fridge after 4 years and almost 1 month. Keep in mind, we paid $2,000.00 for this appliance. If you Google this fridge, you will see that every person who has ever owned one has had water leaking and drain line issues. We were no exception. After about 2 years of ownership the fridge began to leak water at the front left hand corner. We called our serviceman and were told this happens with every single one of these. We were instructed to thaw it out with a hairdryer! When that did not solve the issue, we were instructed to completely empty the fridge, defrost it for at least 24 hours, and then turn it back on. Each remedy worked for a time, then same issue would pop up again. We limped it along for two years, with the problem reoccurring more and more frequently. Finally, we had to thaw it about every day, and rather than loose our food, we bought a new fridge. We were told to contact Samsung, and they tried to say that we did not have the properly fridge unleveled (it was professionally installed), and offered to repair it at our cost. To add insult to injury, it damaged my wooden floors, and the edge of an antique cabinet. Please save yourself the grief and do not purchase any fridge from this company.

We purchased this fridge new one month ago, and after repeated attempts by the Samsung authorized repair company, the fridge will still get no colder than 45F. The freezer portion works fine but not the fridge area. I would caution Anyone even considering this fridge to run like the wind to another brand. We purchased a $5000 Samsung 4-door refrigerator two years ago and it was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my home. The ice maker gives us constant trouble. We had Samsung come out and repair it 6 months ago and it has already broken again and they want me to pay $100 just for a diagnostic appointment that won’t even cover the repairs! Worst of all, when the repair person came the first time he told me that Samsung knows this is a problem with their design and has just decided to screw the customers who already purchased the product and wait and see if they will call for repairs. I am an educated consumer who did my research but this fridge is absolute junk. Samsung should stand behind their products and less than 2 years for a $5000 is obscene. Now I’m trying to decide whether I should fix it or throw it out. I wish I had bought a Sub-Zero in the first place. STAY AWAY FROM THE SAMSUNG CHEF COLLECTION, IT IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

I purchased a Refrigerator for over $3000.00, the entire CHEF collection for over $7000.00 thinking I was buying high quality appliances. Instead I get an Ice Maker that wont work and was told by the repairman it was due to the higher water pressure in the US. I have to keep defrosting it with my hairdryer. It is already cracked. The microwave wont respond to my finger on the controls unless I hold it flat not my fingertip. Part of the name has come off the dishwasher. In my opinion and experience if you want good appliances DONT BUY SAMSUNG. They are very poor quality and all you will get is excuses. Mine were less than a year old when they started breaking.

I called Samsung customer service, and was told the sound was Normal. I guess I am not quite understanding normal when it never made this sound before. I just wish Samsung would take our complaints and concerns more seriously. The sound can be heard throughout the house, its as if someone was sitting behind the fridge popping balloons. I bought a microwave, dishwasher, and range in December 2011 and have had many problems with all three appliances. The range elements do not heat evenly. The dishwasher after 9 months of calls to Samsung, they finally refunded my money (pump issues). The microwave (model number SMH9187B) started flashing 5E code 1 month before the warranty was up. It took 6 months for them to replace the micro board and now the same problem. I called and was told they have had no complaints about the micro board being affected by moisture. After reading all the complaints here, I am calling again tomorrow. I will document every call and add it to the 6 pages of notes I have already accumulated. Hello, we purchased the Samsung 30.5 CuFt French Door Refrigerator Stainles
Hello, we purchased the Samsung 30.5 CuFt French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Model Number RF31FMESBSR in June 2013. It looks like there is some manufacturing defect as we see the water leakage and rust on the backside of the refrigerator. Thus anyone else is facing similar issues? We had 1-year manufacturer warranty and 60 months protection plan from Home Depot; however, in this specific issue it was a little difficult to notice the problem since it was on the backside of the refrigerator and as you know how many people go and look at the backside of the refrigerator once its install. As per the Samsung service company, other consumers also had similar issues. However, Samsung is not taking any actions to resolve the issue citing the refrigerator is out of warranty.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator, delivered in 01/2015. The refrigerator is just out of warranty in 6/2020 and the ice maker stopped working properly several months ago. It never put out much ice to begin with. We had to de-ice the fridge and reset it several times because it stopped making ice. It also started leaking from behind the water/ice dispenser and down it. We had to keep a towel on the drip tray to keep the water from trickling down the fridge. Samsung refused to cover the repair because it was just out of warranty. The service repair shop referred to us by Samsung, charged $320 total for the ice maker part that costs $110 with shipping on Samsungs site. The repair man would give us a window of time and then not call us back. I had to reach out to him every time and 1/2 the total payment was required upfront. Another friend of ours has the same fridge and purchased it right before we got ours and their motor went out a year after owning it. My brother and his wife purchased their GE fridge at the same time we bought ours and they havent had one issue. We wont purchase Samsung appliances again.

Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working,
Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working, refrigerator completely frosted and refrigerator no longer worked. I defrosted, retried and within 2 weeks same again. I called a local so-called service person, Greg ** and he came and checked it. It had totally frosted over again. He defrosted and said he had to order the part. What he ordered was probably the most expensive part, the computer module. He returned and installed the new module at a cost of $423.73. 2 weeks later, same thing all over. He returned, rechecked and said it appeared to be functioning and there was nothing further he could do with it. At that time I went online and looked up the problem which was also a problem for others. Since it was the defrost that was not working I guessed that it must be the defrost coil or the temperature sensor. I contacted Samsung and ordered an Evaporator Assy, Refrig SMG for $123.28 and a Sensor, Temp F PX-41C TD at a price of $13.82 (all plus taxes and shipping). I did not know in advance that the Evaporator Assy included a temp sensor. I replaced both the Evaporator Assy and the Temp sensor in Aug 2014 and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since. Had I known in advance I would have only purchased the temp sensor first at a cost of $13.82, that may have solved the problem. My biggest complaint is that Greg **, so called service person, chose to replace the most expensive item first, especially since he admitted it was only trial and error and that he could not know exactly what the problem was. He charged $423.73 for something that he did not fix and I later had to fix it myself. I am not a service person and I was able to get the refrigerator working!

Bought from HHgregg a Samsung stainless package 08/01/13. Delivered and installed it 09/07/13. Everything worked great for a year except the dishwasher (DW80F800 series with stormwash). This dishwasher was why it took a month because it was an upgrade to the one on order but was out of stock. This dishwasher sucks! Not only does it not dry dishes from the beginning when I got it; yes I use the jet dry liquid rinse aid, error messages now keep coming on even after repairman came and replaced the main board (which took almost three weeks of hand-washing dishes), it does not have a heat drying element. $700 piece of **, after reading all the reviews of the same thing happening with lots of other Samsung dishwashers. As one reviewer said, Samsung needs to stick to making cell phones!P.S. I now have another repair order for this 15 month-old dishwasher and if he cant fix it this time Im gonna insist on a re-select from hhgregg and get a more reliable dishwasher.... The fridge, range, and microwave work well so far but STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS! ...or anything they should make that requires water. God forbid they start making hot tubs!

Thankfully I bought an extended warranty on my range because the 2nd time I used the self-cleaning mode ON THE DEFAULT SETTING, the control panel melted and the oven door would not open. It took weeks to get the replacement part with Sears Outlet calling and emailing scheduled appointment times that had not been cleared by me. But never mind the repair guy that is employed by Sears told me the part had not showed up on his doorstep yet. However, during 9 different calls over several hours during a 2 month time frame, Sears told me repair guy did not follow protocol so that caused delays. Of course when I told repair guy that he said they always try to pass blame. The 3 times repair guy came to my house he refused to give me any paperwork documenting his repair. He also told me never to use the self-clean mode. What? Why is it there? THEN the oven would not heat up to temperature, actually would only get to 100 degrees less, so the process started over again with repair guys BS and blaming Sears, all sorts of ridiculous information from both sides with promises NEVER being met. He finally installed a new thermometer and it still doesnt heat to temperature so I have to program it 25 degrees higher and wait 45 minutes longer than what the alert and temperature says on the control panel. In an argument with repair guy in my kitchen over my unreasonable expectation to have purchased a functioning product he accused me of only wanting to get a new oven. Imagine the gall of me actually expecting to have purchased a functioning product by a supposedly reliable name like Samsung. I am 71 years old and am old enough to know, from experience, what good customer service is. Repair guy is a grey hair and should know that too. But he is perfectly employed by a sub-standard company selling a very inferior product. And, although promised by his wife on one call, and his daughter on another, that I would get service orders and documentation emailed to me, it has never happened. What a waste of time and money, not to mention having to play stupid passive-aggressive games with a low in standards repair person. I am now afraid of fire after reading the rest of the reviews. Im surprised that Samsung hasnt been sued and ovens have not been recalled. I mean really surprised. My oven is barely 2 years old. In any other electrical stove/oven I have ever owned I have NEVER had a problem with self-clean.

We purchased our French Door Refrigerator (Model RF4267HABP) Dec./2011 from Lowes Home Improvement. Within the first year we started noticing rust on the front door near the ice maker and the door. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

The refrigerator works well, but I clean it weekly to keep in good condition. Its heavy so moving to clean vents behind is a chore, but I do it at least every 6 months to keep it going. Some of the plastic parts just snap and break apart. All of my plastic drawers for vegetables/fruits and frozen foods broke and are held together with rubber bands. Very dissatisfied with this Samsung Dishwasher. Will never purchase one again. Very few features. Great size for loading a lot of dishes. Unfortunately, it doesnt clean them well. Great appearance! Bought it brand new at Lowes in October 2012. Within 60 days already not cleaning dishes well and called as it was under warranty. Screen was clogged with food of some sort. Worked for about 6 months and leaving white film on all glasses. Still does.

Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. The first ref I had lasted for 19 years (other brand)-without any repair. I just disposed it since I wanted new one.

Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March
Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March 26, 2016. Last week after the holidays on 12/27/17 decided to use the self cleaning oven for very first time (oven was only lightly soiled). I picked the short 2hr cycle since it was the first time using the cleaning feature. About an hour later noticed the display lights were all off and oven was not running. Oven door was locked. The knobs and display panel were hot. Waited for it to cool down for hours. Nothing changed. Luckily the stove top still worked! Called PC Richards for my extended warranty service. A week later the repair tech came and said he has seen this problem many times before and that it is a known design flaw of the range and suggested I clean the stove manually from now on! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing - after spending over $2000.00 on a new range I am supposed to clean it by hand? The tech ordered the 3 hidden thermal fuses and will return to repair when they come in. If that does not unlock the oven door he states it could be that the motherboard was also fried and need to be replaced. Luckily I have an extended warranty but if I attempt to use the self clean again will this happen all over again. I will be contacting Samsung for the answer. I am 60 yrs old and have never had to clean any oven manually before and don’t intend to start now! Apparently this is a known flaw and this product should be recalled by Samsung. I will wait until the tech returns with the parts (hopefully within another 2 weeks) and everything is fixed and then intend to contact Samsung again. This is a major inconvenience, not having an oven for at least 3-4 weeks. I hear the customer service and satisfaction at Samsung is less than adequate but I am relentless and will not accept this situation. I will keep you posted.

Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I dont want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.

I purchased a Samsung Microwave Model SMH8187STG from Costco on 19 MAR, 2011. The other day, I went to close the door, heard a snap and it wouldnt close. The plastic latch was loose. I called Samsung (even though warranty was over) to inquire about what to do, and was passed on to their Canadian parts department, where I ordered a new plastic latch piece for $2.99, assuming thats what the problem was. It would be sent to the dealer nearest to our town where I could pick it up at that price, or mailed to me for $12.99 (I chose the pick up). The parts person also helped by directing me to a website as to how to take the door apart to get at the broken latch. I discovered many other sites where people had had problems with Samsung door latches failing, SE problems, etc.Anyway, when I took the door apart and got the latch out, there were a couple of other broken plastic pieces also. I picked up the new piece yesterday, brought it home, and discovered from looking at some other websites that some people had to glue broken plastic bits back on the door in order to get everything to work (they apparently hadnt ordered a new part). My new part didnt include the other plastic pieces, as they had been part of the inside of the door! They were very small, and very thin, and were part of the guides for the latch, and one of them appeared to be the piece that would anchor the spring that would attach to the latch. Crazy glue or epoxy wasnt going to fix that piece well enough to allow a spring to re-anchor for the stress on the latch. My wife and I do not slam the microwave door, and at our age (mid-60s), we realize were now living in a throw-away society, but this is ridiculous! It looks like well need a new door, as the whole internal part of the current door contains these tiny plastic anchors. Samsung knew or ought to have known that these pieces would not stand up to repeated use over more than a few years before the stress on them would cause them to fail. Why would they not have used reasonably strong metal anchors? While Im not a lawyer, one would think that those of us that have had this problem would have a decent case in small claims court or in a class action suit, even though the warranty is over. Does anyone agree? Anyway, after reading the other horror stories and our experience, its the first/last Samsung for us! P.S. So far, we havent had the SE problem, but from the looks of it, we probably will. However, we bought ours at Costco, as mentioned, and they are very good at taking things back from dissatisfied customers.

I purchased model# SMH1816S a little over two years ago and it just died on me yesterday. Of course, Samsung was no help because the warranty has expired on it. I am very angry and dissatisfied with Samsung products because they have proven to be crap -- and have a comically short shelf life. This breakdown comes only two months on the heels of my Samsung range breaking down and having to be serviced. All of my products were purchased at the same time (microwave, fridge, range) -- now I can look forward to having costly repair bills into the unforeseeable future. Im dreading the inevitable breakdown of my refrigerator soon. As expensive as Samsung appliances are, I just expected for them to last a lot longer before needing servicing -- say maybe 5-10 years. My previous Kenmore products lasted over 10 years without needing repairs. I will definitely not be purchasing anymore Samsung products! And their customer service sucks -- they should honor their products for a lot longer than 1 year. Oh yeah... they offered me a Protection Plus plan for $288 -- I can buy a new microwave for that price!

I explained to the representative that I have been using a 3M stainless steel appliance cleaner with a microfiber cloth and there had not been any abuse to cause this to happen. She transferred me to a more senior representative who made the same claim. This is ridiculous!!! Oh, my gosh. 28cf French Door, luckily with a five-year extended warranty. After less than 2 years, plastic crisper drawers cracked. Since we just moved in, there was minimal items in drawers. They said it was normal wear and tear. Original owner was 85 years old, for goodness sakes. Last year, ice maker froze, was replaced, and froze again. Christmas 2018, whole back wall was all ice. Tech had to stream it to melt. Had to come back with part. Oops. Had to come back again with more parts because back wall was cracked. Samsung claimed it was cosmetic damage. I would not settle for that. Customer service is horrible! The extended warranty company did not want to cover cosmetic damage. I sent a full backup package, with a timeline, to our AG Consumer office and filed a complaint. Shortly after that, I received a check for the purchase price as a warranty buy out. You name it and there is a problem. Very disheartening that Samsung is aware of this issue as the internet brought up numerous references including a pending class action lawsuit. Samsung’s failure to step up and be a responsible corporate entity by paying for a long term repair or recalling what they know to be a defective product will be forever engrained in my memory. I have officially removed any of their product lines for my household future purchases and will be certain to advise others on their lack of concern. We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!

They referred me to their authorized Home Service Center. The technicians came the next day, they check the unit. They said that there was a leak, so they told me that theyre going to order the parts needed. After 4 days they came back to fixed the leak. After 3 hours looking for the leak, they said that the leak was inside the unit. They cant fix it. Theyre going to forward the problem to Samsung. So Samsung contacted me, they ask me to go to our dealer for the replacement of my unit. The 2nd new unit delivered (August 2013), it last 10 months. The same problem with the 1st unit happened again. So they replace it again, the 3rd unit delivered (July 2014). After 6 months of using the 3rd unit the same problem occurred again. Same procedure with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd unit was made. Then 4th unit with the same model delivered (February 2015). Last October 2015, there it goes again. The technician came, fixed it, after 3 days it broke again. They fixed it again. After 3 weeks it broke again. I really had enough with this unit. So disappointed...

I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Poorly Made! Then kitchen is 1 month over warranty. Already the bottom metal strip of the oven door is coming off. It was actually glue and the glue is coming off. Very cheaply made. I called and they said to fix its $175.00. I had my last kitchen stove from GE for 13 yrs and never ever had an issue. Will NOT ever buy Samsung again. Very poor craftsmanship.

Purchased at Lowes who said all repairs are done by Samsung. First we got a lecture on how to wash dishes. Run hot water in sink first, use less soap, use vinegar, use a rinse aid and it will work fine. They all have a nasty film on them even when using rinse aid (apparently required by them). Second repair visit canceled because they needed to order a part. Third visit, another how to wash dishes lecture and supposed part replacement. Fourth visit, another part replacement, and the dishes are still filmy and nasty. They refuse to replace it. Lowes has bowed out. Never buy Samsung again.

This is follow-up to reviews of 10/30/14 and 11/8/15: Five year warranty company insisted on repair again. This last repair was a total different fix from previous two fixes which were the same. This time the fix lasted about 4 1/2 months. On Friday last week I emptied approx one cup of water out of each veggie bin. Since the last fix the unit has been making more strange noises than ever before. Some of the noises are like a .22 cal. shot and loud enough to wake me up at night. I contacted the extended warranty company, report the problem again and again they insisted on repair. I told them NO MORE REPAIRS!!! I want it out of my home. They promised to have a manager call me on Monday or Tuesday 3/28 - 3/29/16. If they will not honor the terms of the agreement and refund my money, I will have no choice but to junk the Samsung unit and purchase another brand at my own expense!!!

Purchased my Samsung - side by side refrigerator in Aug 2012. Noticed right away the ice maker did not make a lot of ice very fast. Just about enough ice every day for 2 people. Certainly not enough for a family of more than 2 in my opinion. It also failed 3 months ago so I had it replaced. Looks like it has failed again. Ill keep you posted - but definitely not happy with the ice maker. The refrigerator and freezer work fine so far but the ice maker is a bummer.

Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago. Ice maker malfunctioned. Samsung seemed familiar with the problem. The repairman mentioned a design flaw with regard to the small fan. They did quickly repair the problem for hundreds of dollars. It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.

We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.

Add me to the 2,180 list of dissatisfied customers who own a French door Samsung refrigerator with twin cooling. We have the same problem with ice building up in the refrigerator section causing water and ice to form under the crisper trays. The compressor was replaced after 1 year but the problem keeps occurring. I question the Executive team from Samsung how they could still be selling a product for the last 5 or more years that has the same issue. If you read through the reviews and see the years it has been the same problem. Their response was, We will send a technical out to fix it and you will pay the bill. The problem should be fixed and there should be a recall. Why would anyone invest more money in a piece of JUNK? Next step is a report to the Better Business and to make dealers aware that they are selling faulty products.

I completely re-did a kitchen in our little weekend house and outfitted it with a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. Since it is a weekend house, the microwave doesnt actually get much use. The microwave was new in 2010 and is now a little less than 2 years old. I got the dreaded SE error code back in the early spring of 2011. It worked for a few weeks during the summer, but Ive had to keep it unplugged (due to the error beeping) since September. Ill try a replacement board that Ill install, but Im very disappointed with this product. Probably, it will be my last Samsung appliance. My $59 microwave from Target has worked great for years.

Weve owned this fridge since 3/29/10. Weve had nothing but problems with it ever since. Every time theres a power failure in our area, the digital panel needs to be reset, which has been a difficult process to accomplish. Last June, our freezer started making loud rattling type noise. I had to have the Defrost Sensor replaced as it was faulty and causing excess ice to build up on the fan in the interior of the freezer. Well, now the freezer is doing the very same thing. I called Samsung again last night expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction with this fridge thats only two years old! Since my unit is out of warranty, they originally told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them thats what I was told last June when I called with the freezer issue and at that time, I was given a warranty extension and the repair was made free of charge. This time, after insistence on my end, I was offered again a free repair or a refund prorated of my purchase price. I chose the refund since Ive had enough with the issues with this fridge. I paid $899.99 for the fridge on sale from Sears, it was originally $1299.99. I was offered a prorated refund of $719.99, which reflects a 10% depreciation for each year of ownership. I said, I think Samsung should stand behind their product and give me a full refund of my purchase price since this fridge has been brought with issues for the last 2 years. I was told a prorated refund was my best option. I now am waiting for the refund check to come in the mail and then go shopping for another fridge. I will never ever buy any Samsung products again. Once I have my new fridge in place, I then have to cut the power cord off my fridge and mail that and the serial number sticker from the interior of the fridge back to Samsung. Their refrigerators should not be allowed to be sold any where.

Whoever designed the rack adjuster did not do a very good job it. The plastic tabs that hold it in place keep breaking off. If were using it to move the rack up and down I could understand that over time it might break but we never use it to move the rack up or down. The rack has been in the same position from the time the dishwasher was installed over a year ago and about every six months I have to replace the adjusters because the tab breaks off and lets the rack drop. This is one of the main reasons we will never buy another one and replacing this one even though we have had it less than two years.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

This series DW80F600 dishwasher showed signs of high temperature heating errors when it was only 10 months old. We called support and were told that it would cost a certain amount ($273.43 to be exact) to have someone come and look at the machine. Just look at it, not fix it! WE went ahead and had them look at the problem and of course, the part needed wasnt under any sort of warranty. Now just over a year old and we are are stuck with a $498.75 bill for a machine that still doesnt work. The error lights came back on the very next day! We could have purchased a brand new dishwasher for much less and gotten much better results. I am warning all who think purchasing this machine, to rethink that plan!! This is the worst dishwasher on the market.

Samsung FE710DRS/XAA Range. This range was built-in 2011 and we bought it in 2012. For the first year, it worked fine. Unfortunately, within a week or so of the warranty ending, the center element of the three element right front burner stopped working. Per Sears: We had to replace the front element AND the burner control switch, since one of them caused the other to stop working. In other words, the Sears technician didnt know which came first, the chicken or the egg! But! They were both bad! Unless! As he then added, Unless the controller is defective, in which case youll have to replace it too! Cost? Over $400. We decided to live without the center element, after all the middle and outer elements were working fine.AND THEN! Six months or so later, while my wife was baking the Christmas Turkey, the controller declared that the range was suffering an E-27 error! Naturally, I got out the operator manual! So! I turned off the circuit breaker as instructed! And the range worked. Until the next time. After that, every time we used the oven, we got either an E-27 error or an E-0A error. E-0A meaning that the oven was too hot.Naturally, Sears told us that we had to replace the oven temperature sensor and almost certainly the controller as well, since it PROBABLY was defective. Cost over $400! We decided to live with the E-27 and E-0A errors since turning the circuit breaker off and back on fixed the problem long enough that we could finish baking whatever we were baking. Unless, of course, my wife or daughter was baking a cake. Which is to say that if the controller declared an E-27 or E-0A error, the cake would be ruined. And then! The 2-element front left burner decided to operate at FULL POWER no matter where the burner control knob was set. Naturally, my wife found out that the hard way, as in: She left the kitchen to answer a phone call, while simmering vegetables for a soup, only to suddenly see smoke pouring from the kitchen! That was the last straw! So! We started looking for another range. BUT! The Samsung had one last nasty trick up its sleeve! The right rear burner OPENED while I was heating water.Just in case you dont know what OPENED means, as applied to an electrical device, it means that a conductor, as in a piece of wire (the wire in the burners of all-electric ranges are conductors) separated, in a spectacular fashion, as in: SPARKS and loud POPPING NOISES! No, it didnt blow the 50-amp breaker, but it kept right on sparking and popping for about a minute, when the wire in the burned finally pulled apart, which OPENED the circuit. AND SO NOW, we were down to one burner working properly, the left rear burner, one burner that was dead, the right rear burner, one burned that was limping, the right front burner, and one burner that would only work at full power. To be perfectly frank, I would not have a Samsung range if Samsung offered to give me one for free! AND! To be perfectly frank, I am not in the least surprised that Samsungs Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have batteries that can explode. In my humble opinion, I think that any person who buys anything made by Samsung is making a huge mistake!

I purchased a Stainless Steel counter depth French door refrigerator w/ drawer freezer at a premium price through Lowes. Within 7 months, the ice maker stopped working and a noise like a motor straining to work started. That issue was taken care of with a service call. Then it happened again. This time, I called Samsung and the girl I spoke to wanted me to remove the ice maker unit. The owners manual said not to do that so I had another service call. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. The ice maker stopped working, and now the ice maker started working again. This refrigerator makes more noise than my dishwasher! So, I am going to have to call for service again. Ive had ongoing issues with the error code 9E since I purchased a Samsung dishwasher 3 years ago. Ive had it serviced 2-3 times per year. I had problems under warranty and under the extended service contract from Lowes. Now I am on my own to continue to struggle with it. I replaced a unit from another manufacturer that was 20 years old that worked better. I am very disappointed and will never purchase another Samsung product. The 9E error code is the water fill tank which can get blocked or dirty. I use dishwashing grease cutting soap occasionally to reduce this problem. But I clean and rinse my dishes with soap and water prior and never put food covered dishes in. This has been a major mistake in purchasing. I intend to replace a less than 5-year-old machine as this error code goes on every other washing.

Samsung is stalling on my repair/replacement request until I pass the manufacturer warranty. I contacted Samsung several times requesting that they either service or replace my refrigerator. The refrigerator is constantly leaking in the drawers, the freezer and the floors and does not cool well at the recommended temperature. The representative transferred me to an incorrect service department. Second time around, they kept me for 1.5 hours and claimed they can’t find the serial number to match the model and asked me to send them a copy- I did. Still no feedback or contact from Samsung or its service dept. The company is ignoring the American consumer! There is so many consumer complaints about Samsung refrigerators having the same issues as I report. These are not small ticket items. It is about time for Samsung to own up to its bad products and recall these refrigerators. My old refrigerator by a different manufacturer lasted 50 years. The Samsung refrigerators did not last 6 months. It is time for Consumers Affairs and the Attorney General to order Samsung to recall its products and to reimburse its consumers for every refrigerator with problems. The washer is appealing looks-wise. It has the extra door in front to add clothing to a load. Its rare youre able to use it b/c washer makes it IMPOSSIBLE so its worthless. Loads take an enormous amount of time to wash. /For example: 1 normal load using hot water takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your settings. Steam setting takes 3-4 hours per load. Theres a quick wash setting that takes 25-35 minutes but it literally washes them for about 2 minutes and it just splashes it with water and tosses it from side to side so it rarely gets clean or smells clean. Laundry takes a ridiculous amount of time. This is no joke. Towels setting can not be set to hot. Theres no ability to customize loads how you want. If you want super hot water you cant use the towel setting. No ability to wash on normal hot for less than 1hr. & 44 minutes. You cannot customize your loads how you want. You have to go with what the machine thinks it knows. Its pre-programmed and customization is not possible. Worst part of this machine is that the laundry does NOT GET CLEAN. The fabric is never submerged in water so it is not appropriate for items like a urine soaked blanket. The urine will not be washed out completely. I would say its less effective than hand washing is. Capacity (load size). Dont let that big drum size fool you. You put lots of laundry in it some will come out not having even gotten wet. Youre working with a 3 deep puddle at the bottom of the drum that is sloshed around splashing the clothes. It breaks down frequently. Ive had my machine less than a year and it has broke down 3 times so far. It does not use sufficient amounts of water. It does not submerge laundry in water. Instead, it sloshes laundry back and forth in a small puddle of a few gallon water. This is equivalent to spot cleaning. The fabric is never submerged in water. It only gets splashed. You cant use hardly any fabric softener. Unless you want to wait for the rinse cycle and put it in then. If you try to add at beginning of cycle you can only put a few tablespoons in if that. If you use more, it will dump into the wash cycle instead. How I deal with it: My boyfriend hacked it so it fills with more water. BUT...it still is not enough to clean so he set up a hose right at the washer site. So in every single load I turn the hose on for around 10 minutes until the clothes are submerged. If you do this prior to turning it on the washer will drain it on you so you have to start the load then add water into the soap dispenser. You cant even use the extra door, its useless. So the hose gets placed in the door of the soap dispenser. So far no issues but its still a pain in the ** but its better than using buckets of water like I did at first. All these complaints for a $1400 machine. Youre better off with a top loader. I think Samsung ought to stick with making their plastic phones or revert back to making clock radios. Leave laundry to the experts like Maytag. I dont want to hear Im using too much soap or too much water, that is untrue. Ive tried their recommendations and got the same poor results.
