The Icemaker has been replaced 3 times, and is broken again. The refrigerator is only 3 1/2 years old. As much as I have loved Samsung products, I am very disappointed in this Refrigerator. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ice dispenser in Samsung refrigerator is a problem. In dispensing Ice it gets stuck at outside outlet or at inside outlet at ice bucket or it drops crushed ice instead of the cube ice. Now when you try to clear it suddenly it drops all ice on floor and creates a mess and needs to be cleaned up. I looked in the booklet under description and under problem solution. No luck. Also it makes a dinging loud noise like someone is banging on a door or working in other area. Annoying at night time.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher DW80H9930US/AC in Feb 2015. First problem within a few months was it wouldnt drain, a new pump was installed by a service company. 2nd problem was the door leaked, 4 service calls later, a new seal and latch, the door leaks the same. Samsung 800 service center said they would send a tech out again to fix. 2 weeks and 2 calls to the 800 and no response from anyone. I am now using a clamp on each side of the top of the door to prevent the door from leaking and so I can still use it. It has also leaked on my hardwood floor causing damage. The D/W is junk.

I now join a select group of people that have made an expensive mistake. I bought a Samsung RS263 less than 3 years ago and now the ice maker and cooling fan have stopped working. It will not only cost me $375.09 to fix, but the parts are on back order and will take 5-6 business days to get here (translates into 8 days). I share the sentiments of many, Its a refrigerator, youre supposed to plug it in and forget about it for next 15 years!!! Now its down to can they really fix it or did we waste $1,300?

Bought 5 new Samsung appliances in February and now the compressor in fridge has failed. Samsung will not replace fridge and I have to pay to have fridge removed from home to shop for repairs and back again. Now realizing that buying Samsung appliances was a huge mistake, never had luck with their DVD players and should have known better. Will stay away from Samsung in future for sure.

Unless you enjoy taking your fridge apart for a couple days on a routine basis to remove a back inner panel, defrost the inner workings, and then it all back together again, I do not recommend this product. Weve taken it apart at least six times in the last three years. It is poorly designed. There is a clip that is supposed to help keep an evaporator drain defrosted, but it is too short. The drain freezes up, the ice backs up, goes all throughout the cooling coils, up into the wires and fan--all frozen into one solid block. I finally found a replacement clip that is longer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow--until then I have the fridge. This problem is well documented throughout the internet and this should be fixed by warranty. Its ridiculous and has soured me on Samsung entirely.

Machine has never cleaned dishes from day one and now it needs 600.00 worth of repairs. A fault code 7E keeps being logged and that will take a drive motor and circuit board replacement. Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Very disappointed in performance of product purchased from what I thought was a reputable company. Ill never buy Samsung anything again.

Stove #NX58H5600S - Purchased the range In January of 2016. Recently noticed that the oven floor had corrosion spots (rusting) as well as cracks in the enamel of the oven floor. I was quite disappointed since I mostly use the cooktop rather than the oven. It has not had a lot of use. I felt that the oven floor was defective. I contacted Samsung and was told to send pictures, so that the situation could be evaluated. I was then told to contact a service center in another state to have the oven evaluated at my cost. The service manager, after viewing the photos, (did not actually see the rust and cracking) stated that the problem was not a defect but cosmetic and physical damage. Since the stove was out of warranty, I would have to pay for the repair myself. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I would never buy one of their products again or recommend them to anyone.

I want to start this by saying please buy something else. I bought the model # dw80j7550ug and I wish I never did. This thing has a dry feature on it and guess what? It doesnt dry. Ive been on the phone with Samsung a number of times and they tell me that its highly recommended to use a dish washing aid. I dont understand why must I use an aid to dry my dishes. They say it helps to repel water but wait I thought the water is what helps wash the dishes? It gets better, they also said to open it when its done to allow to dry. So now I have to either wait for it to get done not drying my dishes or Ill have to come home to open my dishwasher so that way my dishes dont smell like mildew. Thanks Samsung for such a nice product that doesnt do what it says it will do. It also doesnt have it anywhere on the box or user manual saying you need to babysit your dishwasher. Also, buy some new dish drying towels because our dishwasher that you just bought for over $700 doesnt dry dishes. Samsung lost a long time buyer and supporter. Ill never buy another Samsung product!!

Please do not buy this dishwasher (DW80F800uws). I had researched and brought this dishwasher for my own kitchen remodel. I went with a top model and a name brand that I felt was reliable and had great customer service. 14 months after I purchased it it needed a new motor. My warranty had just expired. Samsung paid for the service call, parts and labor. I thought this was wonderful. A company that backs its product. Now three months later the 0e code has come on. Now I have another fix. I called Samsung they stated they would send someone in 4 days. 10 days later I called the company and will schedule appt. for 4 days away. I scheduled this 2 weeks ago. I now must pay for a service call, parts and labor. The system needs to be fixed. I was hoping that a dishwasher would last longer than 14-17 months without repair. (Let me add that it is only run every other day.) I do not believe in throwing things away but if you build a dishwasher that will break down right after warranty is up shame on you. I would rather have them come and take away the dishwasher. Ill wash them by hand. Such a disappointment Samsung. I even called the corporate office - no help there either. Do not buy this dishwasher - it is a dud.

We have had our refrigerator (bottom-freezer) less than a year. Weve had Samsung out 3 times to check out the random very loud noise that it makes. The resulting opinion is that the noise is normal. I am having to endure it as I type this and would encourage anyone to NOT BUY a Samsung appliance. Another thing is the space inside. The shelves are not spaced to hold American-sized food/drink containers, so we have to store them on their sides. From what Ive read, they make fine electronics - TVs, etc. Just dont buy their appliances.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove 3 years ago. After a couple of months the Motherboard on my Microwave went, fortunately it was under warranty. Starting from within a few weeks I had problems with my refrigerator and had it repaired under the one year warranty. I had purchased a 5 year warranty and every year I have had the same problem, fan icing up, leaking and fridge not cooling. It is total crap! The warranty company wont provide a new fridge because it is repairable. Now my dishwasher is not working, the sensor for the level is broken and it is not working. I would NEVER buy another Samsung Appliance ever! The worst appliances I have ever bought.

My extended family has 3 Samsung fridges - 2x RL67 and one RL62. After approximately 16 months, two of them developed noise. The noise stopped each time the fridge door was opened. The problem was with the coil in the cooler - it had iced over. I called a technician for our fridge (RL62), and he repaired the problem. He offered me insurance for three years at a cost of $360. I refused, then he offered me insurance for one year for $200 (the cost of the repair). After Googling the type of fridge problem, I discovered that there is a serious problem with Samsung fridges. It appears that there is every chance that the problem in my fridge will return in several months!

Ice Maker not working- Refrigerator not staying cold: Already had a tech out to repair the ice maker and the refrigerator and he replaced the ice maker and the back panel on the refrigerator with the two cooling fans. Less than two weeks later and we are experiencing the exact same issues as if nothing had been fixed. On doing research I discovered that this is a known issue and that Samsung used to replace the refrigerators with new ones, but that obviously got too expensive to continue. So now if you are out of warranty you are out of luck! Never buying a Samsung appliance again.

We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling
We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling our kitchen and the refrigerator # rf260beaesr has not worked from the start. For making ice, we have called hhgregg. We had the extended warranty and they told us its not their problem. We have to work through Samsung so we have called and on 5 different occasions received inaccurate information and the tech line of Samsung the repairman came out and thought we had a used refrigerator or malware refrigerator from the assembly factory as the cables were not connected and the coil for making ice was defective. He replaced it nicely. That piece of coil lasted one day and again we called the tech line and the repairman came replacement of something else and reset the refrigerator and when we came back from our 14 day vacation it stunk in the house and lo and below - all the food in the freezer spoiled. Over 250.00 of meat. We called them up and they said to call hhgreg and we did that and hhgreg said they have nothing to do with the Samsung as Samsung is the product and this is their problem. Now this is getting old. Since June we have been getting replacement parts and no wear as the freezer still is not working and either is the temperatures in the refrigerator and no one is taking responsibility in replacement. They said Samsung that is, that hhgregg will be calling you and replacing a refrigerator. No no not a call received. We have called and wrote everyone name down the phone and email and faxes that they told us to go through for Samsung and guess what? Nothing is done. Now all we want is our money back, plus the food lost, and we will not buy a Samsung product ever. Example - look at the Samsung phones are blowing up. We have done everything Samsung told us to do and as of 9/16/16 we are no further ahead. CIVIL suit - contact news and will expose both retailer hhgregg and Samsung for running false advertising and product reliability and the other thing is hhgregg in Appleton and Green Bay is going out of business. Everyone got our money but we end up being the loser. Where is the justice in customer service? Where is the responsibility for a product accountability? The refrigerator is not even a yr old rf260beaesr and I have a 5yr psp bf refrigerator warranty which I was charged 349.99. Plus the refrigerator of 1600.00. Where does this sit with me? FZ coils frozen up, defrost freezer. Heaters did not work. Def defrost control replaced, installed new main board and evaporator fa defrost sensor ordered. Need sensor, connected sensor e21 evap fan reconnect on 7-1 16. Next visit 7-18-16 reg def holder defrost thermostat no voltage to heater from board evap fan not running. 8/26 repairman another sensor ordered power freeze and another visit from technical difficulties. No one knows what the hell they are doing in Samsung and they dont care period. They think they can run a person ragged down so that the customer will quit & they dont have to deal with getting us our money back. They dont even know who their CEO. We asked - how much does this tell you they care or know about the Samsung equipment service? So, how do we get our money back so we can buy a refrigerator other than a Samsung? Maybe Electrolux or Maytag. Going locally I can at least get service and honesty and a replacement instead of the run about from retail stores like hhgregg who is going out of business 9/30/16 and Samsung who wont replace or give your moneys back from the purchase. Does anyone hear me out there? We faxed everything to 973 529 0543, tried 3 times would not accept faxes. Obtained a new fax # to 864 751 2882 on 9/17/16. We are calling hhgregg daily and Samsung daily to get a refrigerator. We are the customer and deserve better care than what we have gotten which was passing the buck blaming the other guy. Get some balls Samsung and take care of the customer - stand behind your name. As for hhgregg going bankrupt out of business says it all. They probably took the money and ran. Almost sounds like this with Samsung is trying to do as well. Just replace the ref or give the customer their money back. We were the trusting people in your name and now we have no trust in that name and you Samsung did not stand behind and take responsibility. Shame on you Samsung. Someday youll be a customer to someone else and lets see how that goes. You all will be exposed for what you are eventually.

Just under 3 years ago I purchased an electric range for my elderly parents. The broiler heating element literally exploded in my 79 year old mothers face when she had the oven door open. After much research we discovered Samsung no longer manufactures the part needed to repair the unit. Before Samsung customer service would even discuss how to make this right they required us to have their preferred repair technician come out for a service call - at a $90 fee. We are still waiting to see how Samsung will compensate us but regardless we had to go purchase a new range so my parents can cook. Another bad thing is my entire kitchen has Samsung appliances and almost the identical range that uses the same broiler element. My kitchen is a ticking time bomb. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Discontinuing parts is terrible customer service.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator on Nov. 10, 2010. We had to replace the ice bucket in May, 2014. Currently the refrigerator evaporator is inoperable and needs to be replaced. However, Samsung has discontinued this part and they do not offer information where we can purchase a generic part. Why would Samsung discontinue a part on a product that is less than four years old? Mother boards failed in 2 year old unit. There was no one to service the unit even though I had the extended warranty. Samsung was unwilling to help and tried to get out of it. The company pushes the extended warranty but then wont honor the warranty. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. They make you feel like you are clueless as to how a unit should work and make you feel like you did something to cause the failure. Having to throw out food because of non-functioning refrigerator is not a good thing. Totally useless piece of electrical garbage. I finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool unit. About two years ago I bought an over the range microwave; SMH9187ST is the model number. Worked well until one day it started making a beeping sound. I went to go investigate it and found the -SE- error. From what I gathered online from different sites, it is a control board issue. It has been a problem since 2009. Here we are in 2014 and they have not fixed the problem with the control boards. Since they do not make the microwave anymore, there is no way to replace the control board. My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues)
My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues), worked great first 6-8 months. Then would shut off and need to be restarted every few loads. Then every load, eventually several times for each load. Dishes were not clean, but covered in tiny particles of crud. Started to smell, with black gunk around front seals. Had to remove spray arms and filter to clean them out which appeared to resolve the multiple starts issue, but even after cleaning the seals, not the dirty wet dog smell. Began pre-washing everything before loading, to the point that a dishwasher was somewhat redundant. Dishes came out dirtier than they went in, requiring rewashing. Handle grips on front of racks began degrading and uprights on racks started breaking off. Within three months the multiple starts per load started again, and quickly reached the point of not running at all. Dismantled again, also cleaning out float on side of machine under metal panel. Took off handle grips which were leaving a sticky residue on anything (including hands) that touched them. Crud stuck under there too. Job took over an hour. A repairman may have done it faster, but the only $ I will resentfully sink into this clunker now is the dump fee.Its not yet two years old, does not clean dishes, is falling apart, and smells disgusting. It needs about an hours work outside the cabinet every few months to clean out minor amounts of well rotted compost that it is incapable of disgorging on its own. And it still smells like a dirty wet dog. I think these machines might be a health hazard in addition to being utterly useless. Will never buy a Samsung appliance again. They should stick to phones.

Samsung refrigerator motherboard dies... My 7 year old Samsung refrigerator died leaving a full freezer and refrigerator of spoiled food. Everything had to be thrown out and I had to get a repairman in. I was told the motherboard died. Samsung did NOTHING! Who ever heard of a high end refrigerator motherboard dying?! Beware of buying Samsung. Poor customer service as well. I will now be 6 days without a refrigerator since parts are not available locally... Seriously?!! In Washington DC? I will never buy a Samsung product again.

I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.

I bought fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Leons in Canada. The extended warranty has been the best money Ive ever spent - ever. Excluding the microwave, in the three years since I bought them, Ive had close to TWENTY service calls on the three appliances. There have been numerous problems. The stove was arcing 220 Volts onto the chassis of the appliance, the top spontaneously (really!) cracked. The burner switch burned out. The ice maker in the fridge has had 5 service calls, drips water on the floor every time you open the door and still ices up regularly. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes even though I rinse most food waste off the dishes and they claim it has a food disposal feature. I just had multiple components including the pump and fill module replaced. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

I have a Samsung side by side, four drawer refrigerator bought in July 2013 and have had trouble with the ice maker since then. The ice maker freezes up every couple weeks. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the mechanism. I have problems with the ice getting clogged up and will not dispense. Another problem is that it does not matter which setting the dispenser is on, crushed or cubed I only get crushed ice. I do love the refrigerator with the fourth drawer temperature adjustment. I keep drinks in the drawer and the grandkids do not have to open the doors. Otherwise the refrigerator is just a refrigerator.

Bought all new appliances Samsung post flood 2011, installed 11/11. Dishwasher brackets break off after 2 years and ruined the pump. And gas slide in convection oven ignitor switch was replaced twice in 7 month period of time. Paid lots of money for these appliances and their junk and I had to replace them. Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. Many consumers do not have money to go out and replace these high end appliances after 4 or 5 years of use.

I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. At first I thought it was our hard water (we are on rural water) but then I read some other peoples comments and see its not only us that noticed it. We have also noticed that many dishes are stained with something and we cannot remove the stain no matter how we try! Another thing is that I do not think the person that designed (its a laugh to even think someone would really use the word designed) the racks to hold the dishes has ever washed a dish in their life! NOTHING FITS! Its a chore to try and find places to put the dishes to wash them. One last thing. As like most of you we have come to the same conclusion that we will never buy Samsung again! I am however a little different than most of you. I own a lot of rental properties, and I bet you can guess the type of dishwasher that will NEVER BE PUT IN MY HOUSE OR MY RENTAL PROPERTIES! EVER!

Their suggestion for me is to fix all of the issues (that all repairmen and numerous Samsung forms say will return) first and then spend an extra $600 a year to warranty the machine.

Like many, I am the unfortunate owner of a Samsung microwave (model SMH9187ST) which is now not even 2 years old. It gives nothing but an SE code now, and since the warranty has expired, it will cost more to fix than replace. It was repaired once when under warranty but I should have known this lemon was going to break again. Before the SE code errors, it also had the baked potato function begin to work by itself. I have sent many complaints to Samsung and they finally said, We will file a repair claim, only to be told by the repair person it was out of my pocket charges. They refuse to stand by their product and I am out of luck. This is so very frustrating!

To make matters worse, the computer/touch pads make it nearly impossible for anyone other than a Samsung repair specialist to do anything. Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

We bought a new set of Samsung for the house (wash/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). No issues with them except for the dishwasher. The DMT800 is the most expensive Samsung dishwasher, and seems to have a lot of issues in my research. After only three days old, we got Error Code 5E (or SE): blocked line. Then we reset the breakers, unplugged it...made sure no vent line was pinched... Then it worked for three days, before we got Error Code PE.We called Pacific Sales (the retail store), and they will NOT return a dishwasher... NO return policy (after only a week since purchase). They scheduled a repairman in two weeks, and told us to call Samsung to try to get an earlier appointment.Spent a total of 2.5 hours going back and forth with Samsung and Pacific Sales, as you are required by Samsung to perform various steps to resolve the issue (like resetting circuit breaker, unplugging it for 20 minutes, running it empty, running it in sanitize mode...).We were told by the retailer, Pacific Sales, that Samsung repairs are behind schedule (maybe because of their bad dishwashers) and that the earliest appointment is in two weeks! They said to call Samsung directly to try to get them to come out earlier. After over three hours of calls...we are to wait another two days to see when the Earlier Possible appointment may be. The dishwasher went down five days ago, and now we may go two weeks (washing by hand like we did as kids... oh fun!).TIP: Not sure what the cost is for the Extended Warranty, but saw many websites with reviews that it may be worth getting, as you will have guaranteed issues over the first 1.5 years.TIP: Also, does installing yourself void the warranty? They charge $95 for installs... After the first repairman comes, we will only let the repair guys touch it to maintain the warranty.TIP: A common problem is with the racks breaking (top one specifically), so call Samsung immediately if it happens, as you may need to do it a few times before warranty is up.

Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

They sent the same part for a new repair - which was the entire BACK of the fridge - this time will do it! That was June 30/15 and we have been calling Samsung now for a few weeks as it started again? When do they come clean and give me a new fridge? This is obviously unfixable and a malfunction of this fridge - what can I do? So far all my calls say sorry already fixed 2x, no more for you??? Not good!!! We bought a Samsung 26-cubic ft. French Door Fridge that was manufactured July 2011. It was installed in October 2011. After 12 months of use, the fan motor broke and the fridge vents iced up. This led to the temperature in the fridge going up, and all our food spoiling. We had bought the fridge through Sears, and had an extended warranty. After 6 weeks, Sears could not source a replacement fan motor from Samsung. We have heard that Samsung only makes a refrigerator model for about 3 years or less, then changes it. They rarely make spare parts, and if they do, they are hard to get. We are going to get a new fridge because Sears cannot source a part for our one year old fridge. Im amazed that such a small part is going to render our fridge useless. What a waste of a fridge, and what a disappointment in Samsung, who we thought would build a good product. This was a $2,300 fridge and should last more than a year, and should have available parts. A very good example of the low quality of appliances these days.

I bought our Samsung Refrigerator in 2008. After replacing the water filter for the second time, it started making a loud noise. I called Samsung and they said they have not had any problems like this and told me I only had a year warranty because I did not purchase an extended warranty. I told them Ive learned in the past that if you buy a good product, you dont need to waste money on extended warranty. I was given the name of a repair service company that can repair Samsung. He came out and said it had to be one of two parts. He ordered both parts, came back in 10 days to replace one or the other and we told him go ahead and replace both so we dont have to play a guessing game which one it was. Well, a week later, it started back up again. This time, louder and harder. I just called the repair company and left a message for them on their recorder with the fridge making the noise for them to hear. I took out the water filter so we can get some sleep. We have well water so we really need the filter.

7, yes, 7 Samsung fridges since May 2011 and not one has lasted. Tried side by sides and moved all the way up to 4 high-end French door models on sale for half price due to holidays. I can see why they can sell these lemons for so cheap, because they are junk. Nothing but major issue after major issue. Samsung could care less. My retailer was good, but even they kept saying “no way you could get so many defective fridges.” Oh, yes, I can and did. I have the service records to prove it; not that that means much considering every technician was clueless with no idea how to fix it. So they just try one or two things and when it doesn’t fix anything, they just say: “Defective, can’t be fixed.” And of course that’s only if they actually show up for the scheduled service call. Personally, I think Samsung should pull every model fridge they sell off of store shelves and should not be allowed to sell these obvious lemons to the public unless they learn how to make a fridge that works and one that can be fixed if something goes wrong. Why won’t the govt step in and stop Samsung immediately? Makes no sense that our governing bodies will not or have not yet, stepped in to the picture and make Samsung recall all fridges until they prove they can make a reliable fridge. Samsung’s are lemons, plain and simple, and should not be allowed to be sold to consumers in the U.S. If other countries want Samsung lemons, then that is their choice; but here in the USA, no way should they be allowed to sell these inferior lemons! Never will I ever go near any Samsung product ever again. Was actually looking at a new Samsung HD TV, but no way will I support Samsung or give them another penny of my money ever!

Bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator when I moved into my house 3.75 years ago. Nothing but trouble. The ice maker actually still works fine (unlike other reviews); however, several shelves have broke and Ive had to order parts to replace. But the worst issue is at around 2.75 years the refrig just couldnt maintain cold - temp was above 50 degrees F. We had a control sensor installed ($375) and had to turn off unit for 3 days to defrost ice off of the fan blades. Refrigerator than 6 months later starts to not be able to hold cold temps again and temp is again above 50 degrees. But this time the digital thermometer read out on the door is showing that the temp in the refrig is 38 degree. Now were being told we need a new fan assembly (another $400). I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2020 from Home Depot. It was delivered in June of 2020. Just over a year old and its unusable. Temp readings shown on refrigerator are not the actual inside temps. Temps read normal but actual temp inside is 48+ in fridge section and 20+F in freezer. I had to throw out all of my food. Samsung has no tech in my area to look at it. Because of this they refuse to do anything about it. This is a known defect with Samsung refrigerators. They are not honoring the implied warranty. Parts are still under warranty. So without looking at it they are just saying its out of warranty. How do they know what part is causing the issue? It cant be out of warranty if you dont even know the cause. The ice maker seems to be the biggest issue. So now I sit here 2 weeks later with no refrigerator and no option of getting one anytime soon.Prices have almost doubled since I purchased this appliance. Not sure how hard it would even be to even get one with the shortage thats going on. Samsung has done nothing but play games over the last 2 weeks. I was offered nothing. No tech, no refund, and was told to find someone myself to look at it. Yet, if its not a certified Samsung tech I void the parts of the warranty that are left. If they cant find one in my area, how can I?A voicemail left yesterday says theyre trying to get a hold of me to get someone here and today I have a text from the same guy saying theres nothing they can do. So I wonder if it had been within the first year and it malfunctioned, how would a tech have magically appeared? If there isnt one now there couldnt have been 4 months ago either. Theres a class action lawsuit against them at this time. A FB group of 84,000 people complaining. It has made the news in several states. I would say they have a serious problem and theyre in no hurry to do right by their customers.

I purchased a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Its taken me 2 weeks to try to register for the 1 year warranty. They make it very difficult to register so they dont have to warranty your product. Read reviews of their appliances and youll know why. I tried to get verification that my range and microwave were warranted because initially they said I didnt have the receipt. The stove, frig & dishwasher were on the SAME receipt. The microwave was ordered online and they keep asking for the store location. If you go on their website, they make it very difficult to try to talk to someone about your warranty which is a clue they dont really want to warranty their appliances. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG.

We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back in August of 2014 and started experiencing issues 18 months ago. Water was leaking from ice maker into crisper. Ice maker was also freezing up and required defrosting. Also, the refrigerator began making a churning noise so we finally contacted Samsung to get the appliance serviced. They sent a technician from their authorized repair company (HSN) on 6/1. The representative from the company said that it was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced and should not have any more issues. Within 10 days, the churning sound was worse than ever. Called them back, same technician fixed the issue again. Wrong!Long story short, Ive had several interactions with Samsung and their service company with no positive results. Even though I had $200 invested in the repair with Samsung/HSN, I decided to contact a reputable company to diagnose the issue. They informed me that the service company did not follow the service bulletins that Samsung published. The cost to deploy the fixes that Samsung recommended would be over $1K for an appliance that I paid $2400 for not even four years ago! We are now buying a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy another Samsung product. Terrible product and dishonest company.

I bought my Samsung fridge (# RS261MDWP) new March 2011, from Sears. I have had to have the LED light replaced last year. I ordered the part myself and had a repairman put it in. I did not buy an extended warranty and reading all the other comments, makes me think I made a fair decision. I see neither Samsung nor Sears are standing by their product. Now the fan (which moves the cold air from the freezer to the fridge) is making a terrible noise. I called the same repairman and he said I needed to replace the fan, and ordered the part. It will cost $250 approx. to do the repairs. Since I made that call, my neighbor told me the fan will stop making noise intermittently. It is in the quiet phase now. I did not call the repairman back to replace the fan, as I think he wants to make a fast buck. If I end up having to replace the fan, I may as well buy a new fridge, as other comments lead me to believe I am on the cusp of more repairs needed. I understand there is a civil lawsuit pending? Please help me find where I can add my name to the list of dissatisfied owners. Thank You.

These refrigerators are a nightmare and worthless. Everyone has the same complaint, yet the company wants to do nothing about it. These refrigerators should be banned from the United Sates. I have not had this refrigerator 18 months and got a repair bill estimate for nearly $600. Samsung knows they have problems with their products and they do nothing. I am done with this company, dont want anything with their name on it, or made by them. JD Powers should be sued along with them.

RF4287HARS/XAA - I rarely write negative reviews but this refrigerator is terrible. The ice maker has broken twice in two years resulting in thousands of dollars in damages to my widowed mothers floor. Bought it at HH Gregg in Charlotte. The first time the ice maker broke was two weeks after the 1 year warranty expired. Called HH Gregg and they didnt care. Do not buy the new fancy multi-door with fancy lights refrigerators. They are unreliable with too many fragile cheap parts and the manufacturers make their money on maintenance agreements. If you have to purchase an extended warranty that is an indication the product is garbage. I have a fifteen year old, two door standard Frigidaire at its worked flawlessly all along.

Purchased a home and did a remodel and purchased a Samsung appliance package from Home Depot. The dishwasher has been a NIGHTMARE!!! I am the only one in the home so I don’t run it every day but once I did begin to use it and not even 2 months later had to have the pump replaced. One month later YET another repair! Spoke to a representative who said they would refund my money and she would send me an email with how to get this. Received the email and provided them with everything they wanted. Waited a month and No refund check. Called NUMEROUS time to take 10 minutes of explaining to have them transfer me to claims where THEY DO NOT ANSWER AND YOURE ON HOLD FOREVER!!!I called numerous days in a row and have sent emails every day with no response!!! HORRIBLE!!! So I called and explained to Home Depot and they said there is nothing they can do! It is absolutely ridiculous!!! Pay over 400$ for something and it is not overused and you can’t even use it!!! For Home Depot to support this manufacturer is very sad!!! Will NEVER buy from Home Depot again! Nor will I tell anyone to purchase Samsung!!

It seems there was a service bulletin issued in 2014 regarding my serial # and stated that all units will have this corrected before leaving manufacturing plant since they aware of it. I purchased mine in 2015 and sure enough my refrigerator was not repaired. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. But now my icemaker keeps stop making ice about every three months! The story begins less than four years ago. We purchased an entire suite of Samsung kitchen appliances – range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the range microwave. Since installation (less than 4 years ago) the range began turning on (by itself), a clearly dangerous situation. We found online that this has happened before with terrible consequences. We replaced this range with a Frigidaire range. So far, no issues. Now the dishwasher is not drying. I went through the manual and completed all recommended options to resolve this issue. I am now shopping for a new dishwasher, as nothing I have done seems to make the dishes dry. The refrigerators ice maker has always been an issue in that it does make ice but very inconsistently. The cubes are malformed and at times, it simply stops only to start again whenever it feels like it. I can say that the microwave has, so far, not given us any issues. I would like to warn anyone considering the purchase of any Samsung kitchen appliances to do your online research. I believe that if I had done so prior to investing thousands of dollars with Samsung appliance, I would have thought better.

What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!

The paint on the interior of the microwave is peeling off, especially under the glass turntable. The handle snapped off (cheap plastic part). Samsung wants 85$ for replacement handle which keeps breaking off! (Nice little money-maker you got going on Samsung)! Why dont you actually fix the problem?! Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator in Dec of 2011 from Best Buy for our winter home in Florida for $1670 plus tax. I did not purchase the extended warranty. Big mistake. The refrigerator worked great for 35 months. Loved the external water and ice maker and the wide refrigerator access. Upon our return to Florida for the 2014 winter season the refrigerator freezer was fine (We keep it running year round). The next day the ice maker stopped working and we realized neither the refrigerator nor the freezer were cooling. Called Samsung immediately. The phone contact gave me the name of their authorized service company in my area but told me that they had no service call appointments available for 7 days. She suggested I call the service company directly when I shared that I couldnt wait 7 days as I had just purchased a freezer full of food. I called the service company directly and was told I could not get an earlier appointment. Called Samsung again and asked for another authorized repair service in my area (Boca Raton, FL). She informed me they had no one else in my area. I told her I would have to call another repair service to get quicker service. (This was Friday morning). She said she understood and wished me luck. Another appliance serviceman in my area finally came Friday afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as a bad main board which he related was common for Samsung refrigerators. He said that we should have purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy because it was going to cost $650 for the replacement part and $150 for labor. He also suggested that it would probably break again in 2 years. He shared that he sees this problem in many Samsung refrigerators. We declined service and he graciously did not charge us for the service call. I called Samsung again. She informed me that they now could do nothing for me as I had an unauthorized (by Samsung) appliance repairman open the back of the refrigerator. When questioned, she explained that an authorized Samsung repair service (who wouldnt even come until the following Friday) could have SOLD me a new warranty which might have discounted the labor charges on the $850 repair. Now Samsung could not help me at all.I ran over to Lowes and purchased a brand new Whirlpool French refrigerator for $1499 plus a 5 year warranty for $150 that covers everything (including parts and spoiled food) from Lowes. They delivered it the next day. I have learned that you have to purchase an extended warranty from the store for all major appliances now.

Samsung model RE266AEPN froze up right at one year old and my wife noticed a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. They had a company replace the evap cover and defrost sensor, which so far has cured the freeze up problem. They refused to replace the tray because we must have broken it. Ive owned a lot of refrigerators in my 70 years. This is the first that Ive ever broken in years. Also, youve got to be careful in opening the Cool Select pantry. The cover is narrower than the opening and if its not centered in the opening, one end will pop out of its attachment. Im sure they would say thats our fault also!

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. The new Samsung over the stove microwave matches the new Samsung stove and has some nice features and I do like it, but it is starting to make a grinding noise. It seems to have caught something from its big brother, the stove. This stove has all the bells & whistles..Looks like a cooks delight... Thats a disguise. The stove really sucks. It cooks everything to hot and the smooth top is a ** to clean compared to my old Whirlpool smooth top. The top burners on the Samsung take eons to come up, and when they do it mimics Kilauea. It will not do a simmer but slow boils. I end up cooking everything on the small burner rings, including big pots. I had to drop the oven temperature down 25 degrees to get the right results. I called the Samsung repair service. The guy told me there is nothing wrong with the stove. He must be a Democrat.Recently, when I use the oven, the convection fan started making noise... It is now making a racket. I checked with an appliance guy and he said that he has seen Samsung stove fans junk out before and eventually seize on a regular basis... the cost to replace the fan assembly would be about $300-$375 bucks. I went on the Internet and found videos on how-to replace the fan. I found an appliance parts website. My husband looked at the YouTube videos and is going to fix the stove himself. Never a Samsung product again. I understand their TVs are not very good either.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product after the experiences I have had with this refrigerator model #RFG298HDBP. Water from the door dispenser would drip enough to fill up the reservoir and it had to be constantly maintained. While during the warranty period, the lower icemaker never worked properly or regularly. Samsung sent out a repairman who replaced the icemaker at no charge (under warranty). The replacement was of equal poor quality as it operated for a month or so before problems started. Water would overfill and spill into the ice bin... Finally, we decided to shut off the lower icemaker. The warranty had expired and I was not going to pay for a service call because I was beginning to see more problems on the horizon. The upper icemaker would produce ice at a much slower pace, but we survived. Then the water leaking into the meat/cheese drawer began. Puddles of clean water that you could splash in the drawer... I started keeping a hand towel at the back to absorb the water and every few days I would replace the water soaked towel with a dry one. Sometimes the wet towel is frozen stiff. Then, a layer of ice was developing under the meat drawer! Water was dripping under it and freezing up. If the layer built up enough over a weeks time, you would have difficulty sliding the drawer in and out and closing the drawer. As a new maintenance routine I take contents from the drawer, pull the drawer completely out of the refrigerator, scrape out the ice on the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet, then put the drawer back in. Can you believe this? Many of my fresh vegetables are freezing (ruining) in the refrigerated section... not in the drawers but sitting on the shelf. At least once a week I have to go through the de-icing routine, maybe more often depending on the ice build up. As of yesterday, the door dispenser of ice and water has stopped operating. Nothing comes out of the dispenser. Zero.Like everyone else on ConsumerAffairs, I called Samsung who referred me to their service center. I do not care to put anymore money into this lousy lemon. I would feel so guilty to sell this second hand to anyone else! But I dont want it anymore! I have never, never, never had such a terrible appliance. When we spent several thousand dollars to buy this Samsung refrigerator, I had waited a long time to buy something that would last a while and be maintenance free. This has been anything but what I had hoped for. Wheres some help from our government to act upon the company that is stealing from consumers???

On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this r
Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.
