Samsung dishwasher has a great capacity size. It is very quiet when operating and cleans as well as any others Ive had over the past 40 yrs. The stainless steel look is very updated and it doesnt stick out from the cabinets. I would purchase this brand again. It is a good fit for a large family or someone who has lots of company!

Let it be known that Samsung has terrible customer service and dont stand behind their name nor products. I have a refrigerator (Model# RF28HMEDBBC/AA) that is just over a year old that is rusting on the outside as well as the black coating peeling off. They are telling me it is Cosmetic Damage and not covered. I could buy a new door if I am not happy. I understand Cosmetic Damage but this is not a scratch! It is rust!!! I have contacted them numerous times only to be told they can have a service tech come and take a look but I have to pay for it. The complaint escalated to higher customer service just to tell me that they have not previous complaints about this so there is nothing they could do.

Contacted Samsung customer service following discovery of many Samsung microwave SMH8165ST, faulty control panel. Customers who reported help from Samsung. Yet, they would not help me with the same problem. The error code SE came on and does not clear when microwave is unplugged. Samsung admitted to me the problem was epidemic when I called them. Because they do not have any authorized Samsung service providers near me, they will not help with repair costs. Therefore, I would not ever purchase a Samsung product again.

I too bought Samsung dishwasher, over the cooktop microwave oven and refrigerator. The refrigerator broke right away and was under store warranty so Lowe’s took care of it - otherwise I’m sure it wouldnt have been fixed by Samsung! The outside of the fridge however started to rust within the first year and neither place would help out with it so my stainless steel looks crappy! The microwave broke. I just bought a new one instead of messing with Samsung because they are a joke. Now the dishwasher isnt working and when you call you talk to idiots that run through all these questions just to tell you it is not under warranty - yeah I knew that, then that they cant help you. I’ll Google it and try to fix it myself... I will never buy Samsung again and will tell everyone I know too.

I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

I purchased Samsung electric range (model NE59J3420SS) Jan. 26, 2016 with all kitchen appliances all Samsung. Big mistake. Should have read reviews before purchasing. The range has error message that cannot be corrected according to manual. This is second problem, first problem was 9 months after purchase. The store where I purchased range will send tech out Mon. am for $100 to come out, then $60 every 15 min. plus parts and labor. I know I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product, I have told all my family and friends, now others have told me they also have had problems with all Samsung products.

I paid $3,200 for a French Door Samsung refrigerator, and at only seven months old, the stainless steel on the door is having discoloration spots. I called Samsung, and they told me that the warranty does not cover cosmetic issues. How does a company charge that much for an appliance and not cover manufacturing defects...if I had been told this before I bought it, I do not think that I would have purchased a Samsung. Shame on Samsung for selling inferior products at a high price and then leaving the consumer on their own when a new appliance looks like crap!!!

Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

Weve called customer service for Samsung several times. They were not helpful and they did not support the customer need. Samsung knows of a faulty design on the icemakers of their refrigerators yet refuses to acknowledge and make it right for their customers. There is currently an open class action lawsuit for this problem, yet Samsung customer service wants to charge its customers to send technicians out to repair knowing that the icemaker will become faulty again. I am very dissatisfied with Samsung products and will not be purchasing or referring their product again.

I bought my Samsung Stove oven range from HHGregg and bought 5 years warranty with it. Within 1 month of usage (cooking for 2) started noticing the blackish superficial layer peeling off from the glass top. Called HHgregg and was directed to Samsung. Third party repair personnel after inspecting said it is common occurrence and to use razor as suggested to peel of the layer by scrubbing it in a certain way. Before 12 months end I saw the crack on the cook top and a bulge on the glass top. After complaining to customer service it took 30 days with 3 guys from different company and taking pictures of the stove to tell me that it is wear and tear. I need to pay 250$ for cook top and 250$ for the labor to repair it. I cant afford to repair it or replace it as it is the brand new stove which I paid 1200$. Bad customer service. Was told by the electrical company that the engineers at Samsung will see pictures and determine if it was wear and tear. My old cooking range was from whirlpool survived 10 years. Will never buy or suggest or recommend this company or the product.

LEMON ALERT!!! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I bought this monster 1 1/2 years ago. I just placed my 4th call for repair! Each time the unit has stopped cooling AND freezing and I have lost all the contents, not to mention having to wait a week for the repairman with no refrigerator. I am so frustrated! This time they tell me IF the repairman deems it unfixable they will take it back. Home Depot has been little help as well because I didnt buy the extended warranty. (although the first 3 incidents happened within the first year!!!) I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. I have been a loyal HOME DEPOT customer as well. Thinking a becoming a Lowes girl!!!

On February 21, 2012, I purchased a Samsung DMT300 Series from Sears. The machine never operated well. Dishes, especially glasses, were always dirty after the machine ran. The dishwasher broke down and would not operate. I called Samsung to have it repaired under warranty on Monday, October 29, 2012. According to their records, my dishwasher was over a year old. I told them I had the receipts and then faxed and emailed them the receipts as requested. Samsung outsources their repairs to local vendors. I was given the name and phone number of a local vendor along with a ticket number (**). The earliest appointment the repair shop could give me was for Monday, November 5th. I was told I would get a call in the morning to let me know what time the service person would be coming. No call came at all. I did call three times and was told someone will get back to me. It is now Tuesday morning and still no call has come. Bottom line, do not buy Samsung products. Their warranties are useless and their dishwashers are pieces of garbage.

Hate the stove, definitely not worth the price. GE products far surpass. I have had nothing but problems! Like everyone else you cant keep the ceramic top clean or free of blemishes if you try to polish it, it will permanently take the shine off. The oven is off by 25 degrees and had to be recalibrated - why do I need to play tech. Mind you, I live alone and barely cook the other day opened the door there was one screw missing on the hinge and all the rest were loose. Spent hours on the phone. They explained it was out of warranty so sad too bad! Who would ever think to check screws when you buy a $800 range. To top it off they couldnt be bothered to send me a simple screw. My suggestion is go to store, buy a oven thermometer, see what your oven is putting out then recalibrate your temp yourself, you will have much better luck if you have bought 1 of their LEMONS.

Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine. This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasnt my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. I will watch for it to become more difficult as time goes on and will add emptying freezer and chipping off sheets of ice to my growing list of things I have to do to accommodate other peoples stupid design flaws.

After 8 months, Samsung french door fridge model # RF197ACRS started making a loud noise. It defrosted the freezer twice on its own - the fridge part was warm. For some reason froze up again and started working. Now there is a continuous build up of water leaking on the bottom of fridge below the crisper drawers. From the reviews Ive read, this is a regular problem with these fridges. Thats what I get for buying made in China crap from an un-reputable company. We lose our manufacturing jobs and keep them employed by having to constantly buy products that are built for obsolescence. We keep spending and getting poorer so they stay employed and richer. We should have paid more attention to the political puppets who brought in free trade for the worlds controlling monopolistic few.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

After 13 months (just after warranty expired) the icemaker began icing over. I called Samsung who would only send out a paid repair person. I learned how to de-ice it myself and have to do this every three months or so. I just discovered a fix on YouTube which resulted in $200 worth of parts. Now, three years later, there is a solid sheet of ice under the crisper drawer and a very loud fan noise coming from the fridge (RF263BEAESR/AA). Again using YouTube I discovered that ice builds up because of another poor design and I had to remove all the food, all the shelves, including the difficult to remove one above the crisper drawer, and then pry off a back panel and use a hair dryer to defrost it. Ice had built up and the fan was hitting the ice. This is due to a small metal piece that is attached to the heating element, the metal piece isnt long enough and allows the drain to freeze closed. This causes the ice build up. This is an expensive appliance and I am already looking at having to replace it because it is not reliable and requires so much maintenance. My old fridge was a cheap GE that lasted 16 years without a single repair. Samsung knows about the design flaws, has even issued a technical bulletin about it. They refuse to issue a recall and correct their mistake, leaving so many homeowners frustrated. I will not buy another Samsung product as long as I live! There are several class-action lawsuits pending against Samsung in regards to this appliance. Buyer beware, run from Samsung appliances.

The oven temperature climbs and lowers all during the baking process. Totally inconsistent. Horrible for baking cakes! I bought a portable oven thermometer to monitor it. I can set the oven for 350 and the actual temp in the oven will be 375 one minute and 325 a few minutes later. There is also a 25 degree temperature variance from front to back and side to side in the oven. Forget cooking more than one item at the same temperature. When you buy such a big oven you plan on being able to utilize the space by cooking more than one item, but beware, they will be cooking at different temperatures. The top low burner is not low at all. It boils everything. The long middle high burner is okay on one end and way too crazy hot on the other end with flames so tall they lap over my skillet. The Samsung name on the top front/center of the stove is stickers. Each letter gradually slides off from the heat of the stove.

Worst dishwasher and customer service I have ever dealt with. Just sends tech out to repair same part 5 times plus a separate issue. This is all within 18 months. Their policies are unfair. And on the occasions it did work, it did not clean thoroughly. Do not buy this product. And after dealing with the customer service I would not buy any appliance from Samsung.

Purchased a home and did a remodel and purchased a Samsung appliance package from Home Depot. The dishwasher has been a NIGHTMARE!!! I am the only one in the home so I don’t run it every day but once I did begin to use it and not even 2 months later had to have the pump replaced. One month later YET another repair! Spoke to a representative who said they would refund my money and she would send me an email with how to get this. Received the email and provided them with everything they wanted. Waited a month and No refund check. Called NUMEROUS time to take 10 minutes of explaining to have them transfer me to claims where THEY DO NOT ANSWER AND YOURE ON HOLD FOREVER!!!I called numerous days in a row and have sent emails every day with no response!!! HORRIBLE!!! So I called and explained to Home Depot and they said there is nothing they can do! It is absolutely ridiculous!!! Pay over 400$ for something and it is not overused and you can’t even use it!!! For Home Depot to support this manufacturer is very sad!!! Will NEVER buy from Home Depot again! Nor will I tell anyone to purchase Samsung!!

First the ice maker froze up and then just quit working and I had to pay over $200 to replace it. Then the shelves on the French door began to break into many pieces... just exploded and dumped everything on the floor. I had to replace two of them. Now less than 1 month later one of the replacement shelves has broken into pieces again. Also, the plastic on the vegetable drawer has now decayed into pieces.

I purchased this microwave (M/W) Microwave Model SMH9187ST/XAA a little over three years ago. First, after a few months of use the turntable stopped working. I could fix it myself with not much expense. Thanks to Youtube. Then after a few months the handle broke. By this time the M/W was over one year old. So, I called the customer service. Since it was already a few weeks over one year, they refused to take care of it. I then fixed it myself. The next was the Touch Panel which stopped working. I called Samsung Tech support who again refused to take care of the problem. So, I purchased the Touch Panel and fixed it again. Now the inside light stays on 24/7 and fan comes on the moment door is closed. Only way to stop it from running is unplug every time I am done using the M/W. Again, I called Samsung. As at least some of you have experienced, it takes minimum 30 minutes for someone to pick up your phone. Again, they refused to take care of the problem and said a service tech would call me to set up an appointment at my cost. Since then I called over 7 times in the past two weeks (I kept a log), nobody called back. Finally after a testy conversation, I asked them to give me their service techs number and I called them myself to set up an appointment. Now waiting for the service tech to show up and give me the dreaded figure for repair or pay the service charge. Will NEVER buy Samsung appliance again. BTW: My Stainless Steel Fridge which I bought at the same time also started giving problems after a year, no solutions from Samsung on that too.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

After several missed phones call I finally received a notification via email that Samsung would extend a one time repair accommodation. The repair man was a tad testy with me for not having my refrigerator plugged in so that he could get the code off of the computer. Excuse me it hasnt been working for almost a month now. Im not going to leave it plugged in. Eventually, he managed to troubleshoot the problem. He wanted to change the evaporator fans but I wouldnt agree to that since my husband had already tested those and they were working properly. Im knocking on wood and hoping for the best the fridge is working now with no problems. I can only hope I get a very least another 3 years out of it. Im and saving my money now for its replacement. I purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot less than a year ago. One day, my dishwasher decided to not turn on. I called Home Depot Support, they sent me to Samsung support. Samsung was great at first, they were able to get a repairman out within two days. Repairman came to my home, looked at my dishwasher and told me I needed a new circuit board. He would have to order it and come back sometime next week. Okay great. Here’s where things went downhill. He proceeded to tell me I needed to hire someone to come uninstall my dishwasher so that he can work on it. I will then have to hire someone again to come out and reinstall it once Samsung fixes it. What the hell!

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE
Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE error displayed on your microwave if you plan to try to get Samsung to repair it. About two weeks ago, our microwave displayed the SE error code and began to beep every 15 minutes or so. I looked online for suggestions, and one of the first was to unplug the microwave and see if it resets. That made sense to me; most of us have encountered the occasional electronic gremlin. Unfortunately, I didnt think to take a picture of the SE error first. Ill explain later why that matters.Unplugging the microwave for a few minutes and plugging it in again, got rid of the SE error. Unfortunately, the microwave would then turn on by itself and attempt to cook an imaginary baked potato. It was like a ghost was pushing the baked potato button. I assume there is such a button, the display would read BAKED POTATO and the microwave would run. Not a good situation. We unplugged the microwave. I then researched further, and found that this is not an uncommon problem and a number of people were successfully getting this model of microwave with the SE error repaired free of charge.I called Samsung and related my story. I was given options for repair, each of which would cost me more money than I wanted to spend. When I countered that I had read Samsung was fixing the SE error, I was told that was true BUT I NO LONGER HAD THE SE ERROR. The customer service rep said I now had a different problem, the imaginary baked potato cooking problem. Frustrating. She then said perhaps I could plug my microwave in again and the SE error would return - worth a try. She gave me an issue ticket number for future use. I plugged the microwave in, and after stopping and clearing some baked potato cooking sessions, and a few hours of silence, the SE code reappeared. Success, in a manner of speaking, I took several pictures of the display showing the SE code.I called Samsung again. I gave them my ticket number, explained that I again had the SE code, and asked that they repair my microwave. They said okay immediately, but emphasized my consent that if the issue was something other than the SE error, it would cost me. I said fine, and explained I had pictures of the SE error to show the repair tech even if the microwave did not display the SE error when he arrived - which was the case. The tech came this morning and repaired the microwave this morning. Yes, I had to go through some hassle, but Samsung repaired my nearly four year old microwave at their expense. Thats pretty nice. (They repaired a more than four year old TV for me too, but thats another story.)

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!

Your new water filter model SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003G will NOT work in my refrigerator. The 3rd groove you have added will not screw in. No matter how hard I try to twist it in. No matter how hard a handy man I had to pay try to get it in there. No matter how hard your authorized Samsung repair service tried to twist in there. PLUS THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $65 to not do ANYTHING. Is this a marketing tactic for me to buy a new refrigerator? I had spent 2 days talking with your customer service, your parts department, your repair service. I have been told the G series is compatible, just apply more pressure. Enough that I am about to break it is my response? I have been told by your authorized serviceman that I have the wrong part. Then he turns around and says there is only filter that size that Samsung makes. Duh... I have gone to 3 different stores and bought the same filter, getting the same results. (As everyone has Samsung’s revised G series water filter.) I have a working refrigerator with a working water filter housing that will not accept your “new” “G” series water replacement filters. I have to now find the older SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003F. Your company needs to address this situation as it is purely ridiculous to have your consumers be subjected to the degree of difficulty that I have had recently trying to pay the way overpriced amount (which I will pay because I love the quality of water it produces). I have a three-year-old Samsung side-by-side fridge that cost me $1000. Suddenly last month, it started to make a noise like a motorboat. I didnt think that a fridge less than 3 years old should be having issues, as I have had many refrigerators that lasted me 15 years or more with no repairs needed. None were Samsung. Well, I called Samsung and they were not willing to do anything for me. I had to call and ask for a supervisor who was not willing to make any concessions. Finally, after telling me multiple times that the fridge is out of warranty, she says she will pay for the parts but I had to pay for the installation myself.I am on a fixed budget and the repairman, theirs, wanted $250.00 to do the job. My son can do it for me for free - all we needed was the part. So I asked them to send me the parts then for free as they offered, but she said no, I HAD to use their service people or it would void the warranty. What warranty? Didnt you just tell me 5 times that I was out of warranty? She said it would void the warranty. This is a runaround and I am looking to find out if anyone else is having this problem with their fridge. The evaporation coil freezes up on the fridge side, and I was told I needed a Temperature Defrost sensor. I found one locally and am going to install it myself, but I had to make twenty phone calls in order to find one. The part costs $11!! Rip off company, lousy products and poor customer service. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point. There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). If you are looking for new appliances, please do not purchase this brand. We had issues with our refrigerator also. They are poorly made, and Samsung has to have the worst customer service of any company on earth.

Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.

We have continual problems with the evaporator coils freezing up. This seems to be caused by a serious design defect(s). The drain for the water defrosted from the evaporator coil during the normal defrost cycle will freeze and stop up, causing melt water to overflow into the crisper bins. The evaporator coil freezes over, causing the fan to stop, leading to temperatures in the cabinet being wrong. The vegetables in the crisper bins freeze, and the upper cabinet is too warm. The internet is full of complaints on this issue, and Samsung is hiding behind its legal limit on the warranty expiration. There is a cheesy metal tab that extends from the defrost element toward the drain hole, but is does not prevent the drain hole from freezing over. I tried modifying it by extending a copper wire as a heat conductor from this tab further into the drain hole... to no avail. This design was obviously not tested enough, with food in it in normal use, to discover the problem. I would forgive a design flaw if Samsung would fix it and make modified parts available to current owners. I will not forgive them for leaving customers with a $2000 lemon and doing nothing for them. I suggest everyone AVOID SAMSUNG PRODUCTS due to their disregard for their customers and lack of action to fix a defective product.

My new Samsung refrigerator has the worse smell ever. It is so bad that it permeates the eggs, the carton on my yogurt, throughout the house every time we open the fridge door. We have emptied the fridge twice, thrown out perfectly good food, unopened containers in order to prove to the Samsung reps that it isnt bad food in the fridge. We have washed with baking soda and kept a box in the fridge. Samsung has changed out my ice machine only to find that it was cracked unbeknownst to me. They changed the rubber around the fridge doors (the gaskets) because this new fridge stopped closing correctly. They are changing out the hinges because they told me they are broken. The only thing they havent done is figured out where the smell is coming from. There are a number of consumer reports on this issue yet I am being told its the food in my fridge. At this point it is a health issue. And even though they gave me an extended warranty for the door issue they tell me I will be charged in the future. I will NEVER buy SAMSUNG again. I bought my washer and dryer at the same time as my fridge to upgrade my appliances and I have never been unhappier with a company. I dont believe they will resolve this based on the attitude and the complaints I have read. I want a replacement for this defective fridge. It is just a year old.

Nightmare... Purchased the dishwasher June of 2014, 2 years later water wall error 7E, which is an expensive fix. It involves two motors and a sensor. Called several service technicians in our area, they all stated that there are several service bulletins and TSIs posted for Samsung service technicians in regard to this issue so it would be best if I called Samsung because Samsung should fix for free because it is a product defect that is warranted. I called Samsung at 1.800. Samsung and spoke with William in customer service. He agreed that this is a defective issue with this Samsung dishwasher and that they would offer me a one-time extended service agreement and would set up an authorized Samsung service company to come out and fix it.The next day I received a call from the Authorized Service Company, Quick Fix and they said that I would have to pay for the service because it was out of warranty, I stated what William had told me. They said, “Well, in addition to this not being written in the notes, we no longer service your area so Samsung will have to provide another authorized service company for your unit.” So I called Samsung back and spoke with supervisor Tyler (employee number- **) and Layla (employee number **). They stated that William had not written it in the notes for the extended service warranty and that Samsung does not even have an authorized service company in our area, so they wouldnt be able to help us. We have asked them to review the recorded service call with William as they stated that they couldnt honor because it was not in the notes.I went back to my warranty. It states that Samsung will cover all parts and labor if it is deemed to be a defect issue. We went back to Best Buy to receive assistance with the issue as we had purchased the DW80H9930US from Best Buy. The sales reps, Chris, tried to call Samsung and get help with the issue as they had a list of authorized Samsung service repair in SWFL. Samsung also told Best Buy that they did not have authorized Samsung repair service in SWFL. Best Buy started giving them the list. They said that Best Buy would need to contact Samsung’s ECR service. Best Buy did state that this is always an issue with Samsung and that they have poor customer support and that there are a lot of issues with Samsung appliances.ECR was closed, so Best Buy passed my complaint to Vanessa, she called ECR the following week. Samsung’s customer service agent told Vanessa that Samsung would be giving me a full refund on my dishwasher as they know that there is a severe issue with the water wall on these dishwashers. Samsung had Vanessa fax my receipt and other documentation to a fax number. They were supposed to send fax her back with a refund letter so that I could purchase a new dishwasher from Best Buy. A couple of days went by with no word, so Vanessa called Samsung back. Samsung stated that they had no record of Vanessa ever calling and that no refund would be issued. Vanessa stated that Best Buy would not be able to help me any further. Why are Samsung and Best Buy still selling these dishwashers if they know that there are severe issues with the product and that neither one of them will stand behind the product, so the customer is left with an overpriced appliance that does not work. Both companies have failed in providing customer service and support. Neither one stands behind the warranty. Hoping that all appliance companies will read this and stop selling Samsung appliances! Customers stop buying from Samsung and Best Buy!

Samsung has a known problem with their twin cooling French door refrigerator, but refuses to help to make it right. Drain tubes on these units are undersized causing the ice maker to not work and water to leak out from under their freshness trap. Weve now had two floods in our kitchen and no ice. Our appliance repair service was well aware of these problems. Our unit is 4 years old and no longer in warranty. The repair cost will be $800 to fix.

My fridge is on its 3rd repair, would be MORE every 2 weeks but we fix the ice maker ourselves. In regards to sending me a new Samsung, I will never ever purchase one again so I don’t want a new one just to be broken and putting my family at risk. I bought new appliances to avoid frequent repair costs. If thats what you hope for - AVOID SAMSUNG.Original Review: Ive had my refrigerator for less than a year. It is still under warranty and Samsung is dragging its feet on repairing. My one year warranty is up at the end of October. Theyre just coming up with all kind of excuses and no show repair people. We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator August 2014 and have had six going on seven service calls since July 2015 all for the same reason. Samsung will not allow us to see the Technician reports. The Technician is frustrated when he leaves because its not fixed but Samsung Support states that the reports says our refrigerator is operating normally. Samsung stated they will continue to repair but will not replace. We found out that policy is across the board. We did not check Reviews prior to purchasing the refrigerator and apparently they dont have the good reputation we thought. I have comments between Samsung and myself, but as I stated they wont allow us to view the reports. We do not have pictures because our main complaint now is the noise which we can hear over the TV.

Purchased our first Samsung fridge Feb 2012. 20 minutes after delivery, we noticed a cracked shelf. It took numerous calls and 3 months to get the correct shelf. In the meantime, they had sent 2 wrong shelves and a freezer door handle as a replacement part. In the spring of 2014, our fridge started to freeze up. It took almost 3 months to get it repaired. Again in November of 2014, the same issue arose about freeze up and the temperature settings were no longer readable. They (our retailer, Future Shop) finally replaced the unit. Two weeks in, yes you guessed it, water under the crisper drawers and freezing again. The unit was replaced (by Future Shop?) and a new one shipped to us. Two weeks later with the new one, the same issue has come again! Can this company not get it right?Through all of this, Future Shop has been a stand up company. They have looked after us wonderfully! We contacted Samsung and they said via email: we are not aware of any issues with our refrigerators. Perhaps they should read their online reviews??? We went back to our retailer today and they are replacing it yet again. This time however, we selected a Frigidaire! Enough with the Samsung product.

For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.

Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

About 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS wide french door refrigerator. This unit has been nothing but trouble since about 1 day after the warranty ended. In the past 2.5 years I have spent about as much money on repairs as on the original purchase. The control panel continues to freeze up, ice blocks the drain, the panel has been replaced twice, several other parts have been replaced yet nothing appears to solve the problem of water all over the bottom of the unit. The vegetable bins always have water in the bottom. I purchased my microwave in 2010 Serial # J4LVMOSC00753V. After about 2 years I got the infamous 5E error. I found information on the internet as to how to repair it myself. When I opened the front of the unit to access the inside of the control panel, I found that the hot wire connector was melted. I must have been very close to a fire! I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. To keep the story short, the 5E error appeared more and more frequently, until finally it was happening weekly. The unit is now waiting for the junk man to collect it.

In November 2017 while using the convection oven the door glass shattered out of nowhere. Before that happened it had shut off completely on three occasions and would turn back on in the morning when it cooled down. I have a Geek Squad warranty so they fixed the door in November and since then the cavity TCO has failed twice and burnt the wires along with it. Before I bought this piece of junk I had a GE Advantium that lasted 15 years without a problem before it died. I guess you get what you pay for with the $400 piece of Samsung garbage. I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Steel (SES). Immediately it was evident the ice maker was defective. Problems included no full size ice cubes, leaking constantly and requiring manual defrost and reset whenever door was left open more than a few seconds, for example if loading a large grocery order. It took quite a while for SES to respond to my concern. The repairman Samsung sent, while under warranty, pierced the mechanism with an ice pick, left in anger, and it took months to receive a replacement part and installation. Problem unsolved. I then went back through SES who took so long to get a repair request to Samsung, the warranty expired. Samsung did make the concession of sending out a repairman who said this model was known for its leaky ice maker, there was nothing he could do and to call the company periodically as it should soon be covered by a recall. I called every 4-6 months for over a year and a half to be told each time Samsung was aware of the problem and there was no remedy. Finally, the ice maker stopped working all together. I then called Sears Repair. The workman told me that this model was being replaced for any Sears customer with a long-term contract because Samsung was so unresponsive regarding the ice maker defects. He told me class action suits were pending. He did order a new motor. The second Sears technician who showed up to replace the $392 part told me it was a upgraded part for the ice maker. All problems resolved! So if Samsung knew about the problem and upgraded its ice maker motor, why wasnt it covered as part of a recall. And why, in all the calls and queries I made was I not told that upgraded replacement parts were available. And finally since this part solved the problem reported while under warranty, why isnt at least the cost of the part covered? Total repair was $600. I am asking for cost of the part. So far it has fallen on deaf ears at 1-800 SAMSUNG I am awaiting a supervisors supervisor call back. Wish me luck. Otherwise the fridge seems well designed and working well.

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

We have had a leak in the water everytime you use the crushed ice--cannot get it to stop, now the water works and no ice---I notice this is an ongoing problem with this Samsung RF23HCEDBS/AA Bottom Freezer. I have them coming out to fix this and it is 2 years old so it is out of warranty. I have seen that it may cost up to $600.00 to repair this, well we paid over $2,000 for this fridge and if it costs me that much I will dump it and buy a new one but never again a Samsung! This is very frustrating and when I tell them that this is an ongoing issue based on the reviews all they say from whatever country they are answering from thank you sir. Must be the first thing they teach them in India answering the phone!

Had a Maytag before this. It broke down in a much shorter amount of time than I thought it should. I then got the Samsung, and have not had any problems with it. It has all of the settings I need and so far I am satisfied.
