I purchased a suite of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator was delivered damaged. The delivery personnel called Samsung and put me on the phone with them. They said they would send repair to replace the damaged door within the week. That was five weeks ago, about ten phone calls and many hours of being on hold. They say someone will call me back with resolution details. No one ever does. These items were purchased at Home Depot, who also will not do anything.

Called Samsung technician told there is problem of PCB & we dont have PCB right now. It will come one week later. After one week they told the same thing. We dont have & dont know when it will come. After 15 days company service center told me that its PCB, compressor, relay is damage approx cost of 15000/- & demanding advance money then only they will do what Samsung told after 15 days. It’s very difficult to without refrigerator 2-3 days. Samsung company is not for refrigerator. My advice to all please do not buy Samsung Refrigerator.

We have a Samsung refrigerator model number rf265abwp. The refrigerator started making a loud noise and temperature is about 55degrees, spoils the food in it. We called the customer service number to find a repairman and none in our area. It ices up in the back of refrigerator and water is under the cool select pantry door. The refrigerator costs a lot of money and now we cant have safe food. Dont know how we can afford a new one. We have been dealing with this for over 3 years. Started a month before warranty ran out.

Not sure which model I have as the user manual is for all three, but after reading the reviews I guess it doesnt matter much. We bought the dishwasher, along with a suite of Samsung appliances, refrigerator (one service call that took over a month and three visits to fix), microwave, stove and the wall of water dishwasher slightly more than a year ago. Well I know why they call it a wall of water, as that is what you will find on your floor! Weve had two service calls at a cost of $160 on the dishwasher and now, based on the horrendous number of reviews and stories have decided that putting more money in it is foolish. The Samsung dishwasher is the most expensive dishwasher weve ever owned and proves that old saying you get what you pay for is dead wrong.

I bought a suite a Samsung appliances 13 months ago. These were middle-of-the-road appliances costing around $4000 for a suite of 4 appliances. During the first 12 months of ownership, the refrigerator broke 4 times and the dishwasher broke 4 times. The appliances were warrantied for 1 year. Dealing with Samsung on the phone was outlandishly bad. I spent over 12 overs on the phone over the course of 3 days getting the last repair order for both refrigerator and dishwasher straight! 12 hours!!! I asked to be compensated for my time as that was completely unreasonable. 2 managers assured me Id be emailed a form to submit, neither sent the form. At this moment, my dishwasher is again broken. The tub has cracked and is leaking. Again, my appliances are now 13 months old! Ive never dealt with a company like this, and find the quality of their products absolutely abysmal. SAMSUNG PRODUCTS SUCK AS DOES THEIR SERVICE. TRUST ME; DONT BUY SAMSUNG. Samsung products are junk and their customer service ranks as horrible.

Stove circuit fire on the new stove. I wrote the post below last year before Thanksgiving. Samsung repaired the unit. Then gave us a partial refund as well. We kept the stove since it was working. Now it is having an electrical problem. We smell wire burning. At this point, Samsung has made good on this stove. But it is disappointing that even after repair there are more issues with the range/oven. We now are looking to buy a new stove and will not by Samsung again.Post from 2017: Dear Samsung support. Tonight my stove went on fire. I have a NE59J7630SS, which we purchased in July of 2015. My wife was cooking and heard a loud pop from behind the instrument panel and then fire and smoke. I turned off the breaker off and opened the back panel. I have a picture attached. Is this something you can fix for us? This should not happen to a new stove like this! It is not longer under warranty. I see this is not just an isolated incident judging from the forums online. Please let me know if you can assist.

We purchased our Samsung gas oven/range in 2015 and after 3 years the digital display stopped working, so we replaced it for about $100. 6 months later it stopped working again, we replaced it again. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. Samsung offered to come out and look at it, but they want $185 just for the visit and diagnosis of the oven before any parts.

Samsung french door RFG298 - I have the same problems and even more. Fridge will be 4 years old next month. It stopped working entirely except for 2 flashing LED lights at water dispenser. No other lights work, no compressor, no NOTHING. The bottom ice maker broke within the first couple of months. Just spent $70 to replace door storage bins and more are cracked. There are stains in between the glass shelves and rubber I cant get out, including stains on the flap of the deli drawer in between the plastic that cant be reached. Had an AHA moment when I read another review saying their fridge had dings all over it as our fridge also has dings I cant imagine why and how that happened. SAMSUNG is not responding to my request for technical help or a technician which I cant find in my areas. Paid $2,500 and purchased at Lowe’s... Its not even 4 years old and USELESS.

I bought the Samsung French Doors/Bottom Freezer in June 13, 2011 (Model RF266AEPN/XAA). The first repair came in December 2011. Control panel was iced. The refrigerator was not cooling. In fact, temperature control showed 68 degrees! Then there was the issue of the freezer door. You had to forcefully open it, as though the side rails that supported the freezer seem to lock, preventing the door to open. Then once opened, it had to be forcefully closed. Now, its happening again. Refrigerator is losing its cool. It just so happened that I kept the old Amana in the garage. Ive had to transfer the items from the Samsung to the Amana. I called BrandsMart USA on Friday, March 16, 2012, where it was purchased since it is still under warranty. They set up for someone to contact me on Monday, March 19, 2012. I am going to look into whether I can return it to BrandsMart USA. The first time it was repaired, the Samsung repairman said they were having issues with these refrigerators. I am going to check with my legal plan to see what can be done. I will not purchase a Samsung anything again.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Style Refrigerator from our local Lowes about 6 years ago. A few years after we had it, the produce drawers started to get water in them and then started freezing into sheets of ice. It ruined produce, etc and then we couldnt use either of the drawers. It cost us at that time $200 to have it fixed. The repairman told me then that this was a common problem with this refrigerator and it had to do with the design. Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. Samsung should stand behind these repairs if this a poor design or defective part in this refrigerator. The next time it happens I will give the refrigerator away and never buy a Samsung again nor will I ever recommend this product to anyone.

I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems
We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. This month we finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool product, trashing the 2 1/2 year old Samsung. The ice maker gave us problems from day one. Trying to release a batch of ice manually we broke the flimsy handle. This was reason enough for Samsung service to decline the warranty obligation. For some time we just would not use the ice maker. Then we had a $300 repair. At the same time we had ongoing problems with water collecting in the vegetable bins. The fix by Samsung service was we will send somebody, meaning another $2-300 repair. This apparently is a very common Samsung problem. We cannot afford more costly service. Our regular appliance service person would not touch Samsung products. We know that Samsung makes good electronics (we happily own several of them) BUT NOT APPLIANCES!!!

As I was googling for ways to try and resolve the problem, I discovered that many of Samsung refrigerators have a problem similar to mine and a class action lawsuit was filed about this problem the year before I bought my fridge!!! I have had my Samsung stove in my house for 9 weeks and have had two different service requests during that time. After a month the entire top stopped working. No burners. It was repaired and I was thankful. 7 weeks into the use of my stove, I turned on the oven and after 5 or so minutes smoke started billowing from it and a terrible burning smell filled the air. There was nothing in my oven at the time and the smoke was actually coming from the back. With the assistance of my husband I pulled the stove away from the wall to see flames pouring out the back of my stove. We got it unplugged and the flames out. Had I not been in the room at the time, my kitchen would have gone up in flames. It has been two weeks since that incident and I still do not have stove. Samsung came across as caring at the beginning and sent a service technician, but they will not respond to me anymore. The service technician recommended a replacement of my stove but Samsung issued a repair order. Samsung connected me to someone in management via email, but they won’t acknowledge my concerns or even respond to my emails. It is an absolutely terrible product, and terrible customer service. No more Samsung products for me!Updated on 12/28/2015: We found only two appliance technicians in our area who would work on a Samsung; one had to come 70 mi. one-way, and the other was Sears. The Sears technician quoted a price of nearly $900 to repair these two problems. We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my $700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung parts--they have to be special ordered.

I spent $200 to have it defrosted by a repairman. I had lost around $250 worth of food. Now less than a year since having it repaired, it started making a loud noise. And then I noticed after being gone to work all day that the freezer had quit working and all my meat was defrosted. I had to throw away another $200 of food lost. Samsung is no help at all. I called and of course, they said I would have to pay again to have it serviced. This is a load of crap. They dont stand behind their products. Im a single mom and when I bought this $1,100 refrigerator, I thought it would last me at least 10+ years as my other refrigerators all have. I will never buy Samsung products again and hope I can get the word out about their products. They are junk. We remain hopeful that Samsung will agree to correct this apparent design flaw and show us that they are willing to stand behind their highly taunted refrigerator.

I bought a Samsung four door refrigerator type back in June 2013 at Lowes. A year after, the ice maker started to slow down making cube ice and then completely stopped producing it for just approximately 1 year and 3 months, not to mention on the countless reset I have done just to have ice. It will cost me $200-$300 for the repair and replacement of the unit as what I have been informed by their customer service. I was even told that I should have taken the extended warranty ;-(.... June 2019, the unit completely shutdown as both fridge and freezer were not cooling off anymore. Just 6 years and there goes my hard earned money down the drain. I thought Samsung was supposed to be a good long term household appliance, but turned out to be a BIG disappointment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR YALL BUYING THIS SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!

After 18 months and final payment to Best Buy for my Samsung refrigerator, my ice maker stopped working. The fridge has consistently been leaking water at the left corner of the fridge and the front panel under the ice dispenser and inside the door. Called Samsung to complain, they say its out of warranty and will not pay for the repair. Did some research and discovered there are thousands of people on the web and facebook at SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR RECALL U.S.A. NOW making the same complaints. There are also lots of people posting photos of reimbursement checks for Samsung products including my fridge but not after months of hassle. Now, Ill be joining the many that have filed complaints with the BBB of New Jersey.

When purchased my new kitchen for my wife 3 years ago, we were big fans of Samsung. The fridge was beautiful. We got it from Best Buy along with the Flex Duo range in SS to upgrade from our old black appliances (Kenmore, French door). We had warranties on everything and thought wed be safe. Never expected to use it as much as we did. Two times in three years of ownership and then being disabled vets, I was tending to my wife in the hospital and missed the warranty expiration date by one day and Best Buy refused to restart it. Probably because of all the problems they were having with the fridge. Now Im left trying to keep this fridge going as best I can. Sadly the old Kenmore that has been running for all the time that Ive had my new Samsung is still running problem free in my garage! Samsung should either step up their game or stick to televisions. Youve never seen a Whirlpool or Kenmore phone. Do what you do and do it well! Nobody has an extra $2000 laying around to fix a companys errors!

The fan in the refrigerator made a horrible noise. The ice maker stopped working within 2 years. Once we turned it off there was a lot of moisture in the fridge. The back inside had chunks of ice. The temperature was about 52. We threw out food often. To get this fixed would have cost too much money. Samsung does not stand behind this. We paid over $3,000 and, after 5 years, just bought a different refrigerator. We are so happy to have safe food now. And ice!

We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).

Samsung is the worst name brand appliance I have ever dealt with!! I own multiple properties and their appliances only last one yr!! So when you buy a Samsung product, break down how much you are going to spend into 12 months and then figure out if its worth it!! So far I have had a $350 microwave last one yr and one month. And now a $700 dishwasher last 1 yr n 3 months. And all Samsung will do is tell you its out of warranty!! I give them one yr and they have to change their name because everyone is catching on to the crap they are selling!

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

On July 2016 I purchase all my kitchen appliances from Samsung at Best Buy. Unfortunately its not a year of purchase and I had a very bad experience which I believe its not fair for any consumer. First, they advertises that the appliances are stainless steel, which is not. It is hard to clean. On the range side the flat top is also hard to clean and it scratches easily, which it shouldnt happen due to the fact that that is a every day use item with multiple use. I dont accept the fact that they are saying that it is cosmetic and also is tear and wear before a year of purchase. I live alone and barely cook for this to happen. Im very disappointed with this product and the way that they handle and washes off the responsibility of the quality of their products. This is not an item that costs $100 or less we are speaking of an item that the price is over a $1,000. Unfortunately according to them there is nothing to be done.

Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. Samsung RS265LABP - terrible, terrible experience. We had an extended warranty for up to 4 years. Called a few months before it ran out for frozen food in bottom drawers. Drawers were bulging outward because back of refrigerator was frozen and bulging. The outward thrust of the drawers kept the refrigerator door from closing and the food on top warmed up and was ruined. The celery, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. became frozen. Over the last 4 years we have had 3 different servicemen come for a total of 5-6 service calls which translates to no small expense as the warranty expired. Basically all that is accomplished is a defrosting. One repairman refused to come back; he said Samsung refrigerators had ruined his reputation. We keep a tea towel at the bottom of the refrigerator to keep the leaks from going out the door and on the floor. Never will we ever purchase anything from Samsung. They have ruined their own reputation.

I chose to upgrade my kitchen, new cabinets, flooring, ceiling, walls and appliances. Now, my old refrigerator was about 10 years old and I never had one issue with it, I just wanted everything to be stainless steel. I happened to go with the Samsung French door refrigerator because I liked the way it looked and that it was big enough to store a lot of food in the refrigerator, as well as the freezer. If I would have known that I would have half the issues I have with it, I would have never of purchased it. Why would I want to buy it if every other month, it has to be defrosted so much so that I have to store my food at someone elses house because the whole refrigerator/freezer/icemaker shuts down and takes 24 hours to get back to the right temperature. I have been a homeowner for over 18 years and I have never been more disappointed in an appliance as I am with this refrigerator. I paid over 2,000.00 for it and I am so ready to put it out as junk!!!!

Samsung refrigerator model #RF263BEAEWW. It has now been 3 1/2 years since I have owned this refrigerator and the door continues to rust. I placed a call to Samsung one year ago and was told that it is merely cosmetic and therefore isnt covered. I believe it is some sort of manufacturing defect! Its a shame to spend $1,800 on a refrigerator that is rusting. I have had to baby the machine and make sure it never gets wet around the ice maker and etc. to keep it from really getting bad. By the way, my refrigerator is white and not stainless like some of the others that are rusting. I also own a Samsung front load washer and within the first year of owning it, I had to have it serviced twice. They finally had to replace a pretty expensive part. Never again Samsung!! Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). We moved into a new house and decided to replace the appliances. We read the reviews, thank you for the people who do this. It helps, and saw Samsung got terrible reviews on their dishwashers but nothing bad on the particular fridge we were interested in. There were no bad reviews because this fridge was newer and I dont think enough time passed for the problems to emerge. Model number RF28K9380SR, so we went for it, spent a good amount of money on it and months after we bought it (Brand New) we had big problems with the ice maker completely freezing over. We had the SAME parts break 5 times in less than one year. We have requested our money back or a completely new fridge. After weeks on the runaround and being told its under review we have gotten NOOOOO answers. We emailed and faxed in the repair logs. They have sent their own repairmen out and in less than 1 week it broke again. We are, to this exact day, sitting with an ice maker that has completely frozen over and shuts down. Called Samsung for the 6th time in two weeks to be told, its still under review. Not only is this Fridge an absolute waste of money, Samsung is a terrible company and could care less about customers. We purchased a 3 door, 26 CU.Ft. French door Samsung refrigerator with an indoor water dispenser in November of 2012. Approximately a year and a half after the purchase, our refrigerator started making strange noises and there was water spilling out. We contacted Samsung and later had a technician from Best Buy come out and diagnose the refrigerator. Luckily he was able to repair it - he explained that the refrigerator had to be defrosted as the coils had frozen over. Since then, every five to six months we have had to defrost our refrigerator to keep it working. Ice builds up and the cooling element fails. We now keep a close eye on the fridge. The first time it froze over we lost food. Since then we have moved quick to defrost it before it appears to be running warm. But we do worry about the regular cooling in light of this problem. At bottom, this is not what we expected from our purchase. We bought a brand new refrigerator and have not received the quality we expected.

I purchased a Samsung French door stainless steel refrigerator in August 2012, at Best Buy for 2500.00. I have never been so frustrated with any of my appliances as I am with this one. All of my Kenmore appliance lasted 25 years with maybe two repairs. After the first year 4 of the six door trays cracked, and recently the freezer handle broke off when I opened the freezer door. At this point the only thing I like about the refrigerator is the chime that sounds when I leave a door open. Every time I see a Samsung in the store I feel sick knowing that some unsuspecting person may buy one. So far... knock on wood, I have had no problem with the cooling system or ice-maker, but if and when I do I will buy a new one from a trusted brand. This has been the worst choice of an appliance that I ever made. Do not purchase this product and subject yourself to frustration!

Months of frustration with a ridiculous repair process. We purchased a Samsung electric range as part of a package of appliances from Lowes for our home in Florida in July of 2016. We soon learned that the temperature in the oven was not being maintained properly. We found out that Lowes would not replace and that we needed to go through Samsung for repairs. We have now have had repair people visit 7 times and have had all electrical components replaced three times. Meantime we do not have an oven that works and have wasted all that time dealing with repair people and service technicians at Samsung that do not have a clue. Hundreds of reviews have been written regarding the same issue with these ovens. I am ready to take part in a class action suit/massive recall effort to force the miserably incompetent people at Samsung (think Galaxy Seven Smart Phone) to take appropriate action. In related items we separately purchased a Samsung TV that randomly failed after just two weeks while no one was in the room. Thankfully, Best Buy (unlike Lowes) took a stand and replaced the unit free of charge. Lastly, a craftsman was working at our house and overheard a conversation that I was having with Samsung one day. He told me that he had been a Samsung repair person for four years and finally quit his position because the processes and information that Samsung uses were so bad he was embarrassed. Im not sure if Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is still the CEO of Samsung, but he should be the most embarrassed of anyone. Under his leadership a once honored company is now an incompetent laughing stock. I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in September of 2009. Since then, I have found puddles of water below the vegetable drawer large enough to soak up with a large bath towel. The temperature sensor went 6 months later so it became warm inside the fridge, and my food rotted. The defrost sensor also went at the same time so a huge chunk of ice formed on the back panel clogging everything. I had to pay $298 out of my own pocket to fix these issues on a new fridge and guess what, it still leaks water all over my beautiful hardwood floors! The worst part is the customer service at Samsung. I was on hold endless times forever. I was promised a call back from a supervisor within 48 hours which never happened. When I called back after 3 days and demanded to speak with a supervisor, after reporting Samsung to the BBB, I was told that I can continue to fix the refrigerator at my own expense because it is out of warranty! The man on the phone was very short with me and rude and dismissive because the fridge was 3 years old! As if a three year old appliance has a right to be breaking down constantly! The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

Same problem with new parts. Its like having a car that when the engine air filter gets dirty it generates a code and renders the car inoperative. This product is the biggest waste of money at $799. Samsung tech service is heartless and do not really care, only to offer to come and clean the part every couple of months for $150 plus tax. If any water falls into the machine while replacing the water fill sensor you get a LE fault code. This is a leak detection fault. Now you must bring the machine outside, turn it upside down, remove some screws (special screws) which are of a torx type and dry the internal parts. It must air dry over night. Simply put this unit is the biggest lemon and Samsung will not acknowledge it. They simply do not care. I will never buy another Samsung product ever again.

I was cooking supper one night when I heard a loud bang and then loud arching sound. I ran to the kitchen to see a flame in the oven and my house filled with smoke - set the smoke detector off. Luckily it blew the breaker so the house did not catch on fire. When it cooled down we looked in the oven and found a hole had been blown right through in the bottom. Looked like it blew upward from the warming drawer. Samsung reaction - we will fix it but nothing else. It cannot be fixed. They do not stand behind their products at all.

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer
We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldnt come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didnt purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they wont do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesnt stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasnt bought through them. I wont buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldnt stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didnt last more than two years. I am disappointed that I spent $3000+ on an item to have to go through all this and lose so much money!

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Our 1900$ Samsung 26 cu ft refrigerator was delivered 9/10/2011. It quit working 8/30/2016. We never had problems with the ice maker, although it was slow even for two adults needs of ice. I decided no use to fix it, just go get another refrigerator. If you read reviews on any brand about four hundred people always say what they bought was the worst experience possible. Even the sales guy said refrigerators rarely last more than eight years nowadays. So my advice is spend what you are willing to replace in five years. Thats how long my Samsung lasted.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.

When we built our new house we decided to buy Samsung products at Sears. The first Samsung Fridge that we bought quit on the first day. This should have spoken volumes to us but we were too excited. The fridge was promptly replaced. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Every 3 weeks we have to remove a significant amount of water from underneath the deli tray. Our ice maker will occasionally work and we cannot up or lower temperatures as the temp controls no longer work. Our strong recommendation if you are in the market for new appliances, especially a fridge, DONT buy Samsung. Youre simply buying JUNK that will be nothing but a headache for you!

After remodeling my kitchen, I chose what I thought was top of the line appliances. I purchased the best in each category offered. Oven, Refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Every appliance is broken. They are less than three years old. My husband and I are retired and do not abuse or use these appliances everyday. Trying to get service has been a nightmare. Each appliance requires a different ticket which means four separate service charges. I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance.

My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

I have made the mistake of purchasing Samsung appliances in the last 2 year
I have made the mistake of purchasing Samsung appliances in the last 2 years. Within the first year, the washing machine broke. After several calls to Samsung, a service technician came to our house to repair the machine. At this time, the technician reported back to Samsung that the washer needed to be replaced. I realized at that point that our situation was looking like the beginning of a nightmare. After several conversations between the service technician and Samsung, our machine was finally replaced. We also purchased a Samsung dishwasher. Within 13 months I had to hire a service technician to replace the thermostat (error 1E, 3E) for 282.50. Now, almost another later, another error OE. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung EVER again!

I purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator 3 years ago because I thought Id get quality and good service. While the ice maker froze and the service person fixed it by using a steam gun it happened again. Easy fix though, since I have a hair dryer. Last week the handle came off the freezer drawer. I had purchased a store warranty that is still in effect; however when I called for service the representative said handles are not included in the warranty. I called the Authorized Service Company who sent a repairman out charging us $75+tax. He said that this model has no way to replace the handle and the only solution is to replace the whole freezer drawer at a cost of $465 and another service charge which means a total cost of $625. The repairman said older models had an access at the top of the drawer which would allow such a repair, but the new models do not have this handy option. To me this is a design flaw that requires the customer excess cost.

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge
Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge have gone wonky. The freezer goes away down below the set temperature, the temperature indicator on the door gives the wrong temperature reading, the child lock is on, though not selected. As a consequence the crispers freeze and the defrost water running down the back wall freezes in or under the crispers. The drain issue can be solved by defrosting or adding a part, but with $300 invested in a new fridge sensor, a new freezer sensor and a new motherboard, we are at the end. The authorized Samsung service people do not believe that a second replacement motherboard will change anything and so it is new fridge time. It wont be a Samsung.

I bought a new Samsung fridge 5 years ago. The first day I had it, it would not cool. I called the store and they came the very next day and sent me a brand new in the box. It worked for awhile. However, the freezer never seemed to cool cold enough to freeze ice cream as well as pools of water under my cheese drawer in the fridge section. After many service calls and many repairs I just learned to deal with the issue. On year 5 my fridge completely died. I am extremely disappointed with my fridge and will never buy from Samsung again.

I have Samsung three year old appliances - microwave, dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. The ice maker on my refrigerator is shot. My microwave got the dreaded 5E error. I checked out what it meant on the internet. Found a video for a quick fix. Tried that. It lasted two days now Im having problems with it beeping and telling me to set the power level and turn it on. The 5E code has to do with moisture affecting the display panel. If youre going to make an over the range microwave make it sturdier. Of course theres going to be steam from cooking going up in to the microwave. Samsung should repair this problem for no charge. Not happy at all with these appliances. I wish I would have stuck with Kenmore!! Thank you.

Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak. My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.

Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!
