It is obvious that Samsung fridges have critical design problems. Those of us foolish enough to buy one know futile and frustrating it is to do with this company. The thing is now to spread the word to others so they dont make the same mistake. I posted an ad for the fridge in Craigslist under the title Samsung Sucks. I know it wont sell, but its a pretty effective way of spreading the word about this company and maybe, with any luck, it will cost them a few sales.

My Samsung refrigerator is five or six years old. Since the beginning, I have had problems with it. (Water accumulated underneath the vegetable and fruit drawers.) While under warranty, the refrigerator was repaired by Samsung without a problem. When the same problem recurred, the refrigerator was out of warranty. Since it was the same problem, I sought help from Samsung. The tirade I was exposed to from the manager of the support/repair department at Samsung was shameful and insulting. He was indignant that I should ask for a repair from Samsung and scolded me like I was a 5-year old. He said that a five or six year old refrigerator was already very old and then asked how long did I expect a refrigerator to work anyhow? He went on and on until I finally said Thank you and Good bye.Today I replaced that defective part myself and found that when it was repaired the first time, a used or refurbished part had been installed. This was obvious by the amount of duct tape and silver tape (used by heating duct installers) that held the part together on the side on the back, hidden from view. I was surprised the used part lasted as long as it did. I will NEVER recommend Samsung products to anyone. I am thoroughly disappointed in the refrigerator and the so-called manager without any managerial qualifications. I prefer to remain anonymous but if Consumer Affairs needs more verification, I will be happy to supply copies of whatever I have.

Stove #NX58H5600S - Purchased the range In January of 2016. Recently noticed that the oven floor had corrosion spots (rusting) as well as cracks in the enamel of the oven floor. I was quite disappointed since I mostly use the cooktop rather than the oven. It has not had a lot of use. I felt that the oven floor was defective. I contacted Samsung and was told to send pictures, so that the situation could be evaluated. I was then told to contact a service center in another state to have the oven evaluated at my cost. The service manager, after viewing the photos, (did not actually see the rust and cracking) stated that the problem was not a defect but cosmetic and physical damage. Since the stove was out of warranty, I would have to pay for the repair myself. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I would never buy one of their products again or recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. electric range from Sears outlet (certified). After 90 days, the range wouldnt turn on, all functions stopped. The computer board is defective. Samsung didnt honor the warranty as it was out of the box. Sears, even though has a warranty for a year on all products purchased in their store, required that we buy additional warranty contract. With that, they ordered the part from overseas, and we have been waiting for 7 weeks with no range. Samsung does not provide parts to their range. For the range to fail within 90 days is a major defect. Sears outlet dont honor their warranty.

I need a freezer department handles for RF263AFRS Fridge manufactured NOV 2010, handles have grey plastic parts that go inside the fridge and hold handle by screws. Handle is not broken, it just cannot hold to the fridge anymore because of the broken parts on both ends. I spent 3 months looking for these parts. Called Samsung and the phone #s given by them, no one has these grey plastic parts. Wrote Samsung customer care email asking for help. They got back to me with template saying I should call their customer service (I know the phone # by heart already!). Its been a few months now the fridge is broken. I have difficulty accessing the freezer because of it. The part I am looking for the freezer handle is actually a part of the whole freezer door and to make things a little worse, that freezer door is no longer available. Same fridge broke on month 13th, after 12 month warranty. It was making ice on the back of the fridge. Part was $170 and $150 was the labor. I am very dissatisfied with the product. It was expensive fridge and I was hoping to be able to use it for a while. Now, people from Samsung, how to find these broken parts. Please help!

Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.

I called Lowes after we had opened everything that was delivered with our new Samsung oven/range to say the griddle was missing. They said the griddle in their display was scratched and to call Samsung. I called Samsung and ended up texting our receipt to verify purchase. I was told it had gone through and the griddle would be delivered with 15 business days, this was on Aug. 26th. On Sept. 27th I called to find out why I hadnt received it yet and was apologized to and told there was no explanation as to why it didnt ship, but she assured me it would go out that day. Oct. 15th I call once again and now am told it does not come with a griddle, of course I asked why it was shown to come with the griddle at Lowes and both times I had called Samsung they never said it didnt. I asked to speak to a manager who on again repeated it didnt come with it. There was o explanation as to the fact 3 other people said it DID come with it. I was left with No. We are NOT going to honor this. My manual doesnt show it on that model, again no explanation as to why it was displayed with one and 2 previous Samsung representatives said it did come with it. All of my appliances were replaced with Samsung when we moved into our home 2 months ago, they dont really care, so Ill never buy another Samsung anything. For a part that probably didnt even cost that much, they didnt care that Ive just purchased these Samsung appliances: gas stove, electric microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer.

Samsung Model # RFG298HDRS/XAA / French doors and bottom freezer - Ice accumulates on the floor of the freezer and jams the door from closing and causing the freezer to run continuously as well as defrosts food inside. Unknown cause... Same thing was happening to our Samsung refrigerator, until water began to build up in the line and pour out. I had to turn the water off going to the refrigerator. The water valve is leaking. There is a Service Bulletin with Samsung... A S C 201 202 22 002. There appears to be a problem with the Valve Assembly and will need to be replaced along with the control board. I have only had the unit for 2 years. Disappointed with this product.

Researched before purchasing, didnt find bad reviews. Bought 4/2018. Did first cleaning in December. Oven stopped during first cleaning and door wouldnt open. Contacted Samsung and they told us that the warranty had expired in 2017! Before we had purchased the appliance! It then took lots 10 days to get someone to come to fix it. When asked if this would happen again with cleaning mode, he replied that it probably would. Now, I ask, What good is the self cleaning feature on an oven, if you cant use it? He also said that this is common with Samsung ovens. Ralph Nader, where are you?

I bought fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Leons in Canada. The extended warranty has been the best money Ive ever spent - ever. Excluding the microwave, in the three years since I bought them, Ive had close to TWENTY service calls on the three appliances. There have been numerous problems. The stove was arcing 220 Volts onto the chassis of the appliance, the top spontaneously (really!) cracked. The burner switch burned out. The ice maker in the fridge has had 5 service calls, drips water on the floor every time you open the door and still ices up regularly. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes even though I rinse most food waste off the dishes and they claim it has a food disposal feature. I just had multiple components including the pump and fill module replaced. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

Samsung dishwasher model DW80F800UWS was delivered on Nov. 28th. Looked great, but thats it. It left food in the bottom and food would be all over our other dishes too. My wife called the store we bought it from, Corbeil Appliance in Whitby. The sales lady told her she will have to call Samsung. So my wife did and they gave her a service center to call to check out the dishwasher. Now, the dishwasher never worked from the first day. My wife tried the dishwasher a few times and then called the store within 5 days of it being delivered. We should have been given a new dishwasher from the store and they should deal with Samsung for their horrible quality, but the store instructed my wife to call the service center. Can you believe a brand new Samsung product doesnt work the first time you try it and you have to call a service tech check it out? I guess that shows a lack of quality and assurance checks for Samsung. And Corbeil Appliance store should not be directing my wife to call Samsung after it never worked (and she called within 5 days of delivery). Anyways, the service tech came out on Dec.10th and said the sump pump is not working. They will order one from Samsung and then reschedule an appt. The next appt. was Dec.22 and the service tech put in the new sump pump and you guessed it... It did not work. So now it is almost 1 month later and we still do not have a working dishwasher. It is Dec. 23rd. Corbeil Appliances, the store we bought the Samsung dishwasher from does not care because they got our money no matter if the piece of crap works or not. Samsung doesnt care, when I called them they said I needed to have the service tech back. Why?, I asked. Samsung says, Because that is our policy, unless the service tech writes on the service order that the unit needs to be replaced. So I tried to call the service tech and they are on holiday until the New Year.So to sum it up, the Dishwasher was delivered on Nov. 28th and does not work, Corbeil Appliance was called to say the brand new appliance does not work. Corbeil Appliance told us to call Samsung. Called Samsung and we have a had 2 visits from the service tech and the dishwasher still does not work as of Dec.23rd. Samsung and Corbeil do not care that they sell brand new appliances that do not work. Please DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG products or buy from Corbeil Appliances in Whitby. To be continued in the 2016. Maybe the brand new dishwasher will be repaired during 2016 or who knows it could continue to 2017?

We purchased a brand new dishwasher with all the bells and whistles. It worked nicely at first - very quiet, steam-venting function, and fun little function noises. However, we noticed within a few days that it was leaking. Called Samsung and they got a tech out a few weeks later to repair it. Our wood flooring was damaged. The repair helped for about two days and then it was back to leaking. Now it’s been over a month and we still can’t get Samsung to repair, replace, or even return our correspondence. We’ve been stuck in specialty claims, trying to negotiate with the repair company ourselves, who says Samsung won’t pay them, so they won’t come back. We’ve asked and been told that our claim has been elevated but no contact by phone or email for a week now - again. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and it is obvious that the service promise on their corporate website is a lie.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator exactly 2 years ago. It has been broken (not cooling) for 3 weeks. At first I was told it was the computer board.. I ordered the part... waited a week... and it didnt fix it (& of course this part isnt covered so Im out the $150). Then I called them back and was told it was a relay switch. Another $50 & another week waiting on parts... and guess what?!?! It comes and didnt fix it! It has to be the compressor and Im told I will have to wait ANOTHER week for someone to come out to fix it. All of my food was ruined and I have 3 kids and we are presently living out of 1 small cooler! Very unacceptable if you ask me! I am getting rid of all Samsung devices and appliances that I have and moving on to better companies! Consumers beware!

Our Samsung dishwasher started leaking one week ago (3 years old). Not under warranty. It was very hard to get a Samsung approved repairman. He comes in and after 10 mins. and 95 dollars tell me I need a new part but the good news is that there is a service bulletin on this part. I NEED TO CALL SAMSUNG AND ORDER THE PART. Samsung, he assures me, will pay for the part. It is a scam. When I called Samsung, they had never heard of a service bulletin, might not have heard of Samsung, not sure. They kept reading from their cue cards: Your dishwasher is not under warranty anymore. They were rude and very unhelpful. I have FOUR Samsung appliances in my kitchen, did not even treat me as a valued customer. When I offered to send them the service bulletin on the part, they did not even answer. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE! By the way, the microwaves heating sensor stopped working after one year. Their products are lousy and their service is even worse.

This has to be one of the worst refrigerators (Samsung 28.5 capacity, French door with freezer below) ever made. The ice maker would make ice sporadically. Sometimes there was enough ice to get through a day. Most of the time we had to rely on trays of ice that we purchased separately out of frustration. The shelves that hung on the doors were so poorly designed that they often broke off which caused many disasters with broken condiments and such. I know the shelving problem is not isolated to our refrigerator. A friend had the same model and every one of his shelves were also broken. Currently my shelving is patched together with tons of duct tape. Now to make things worse only 7 years old and the compressors has stopped working. I would caution anyone who is considering a Samsung refrigerator to reconsider.

On August 16th, 2015 our new Samsung refrigerator model number RF28HMEDBSR/AA leaked water all over the kitchen floor. We contacted the Samsung customer service number listed on the refrigerator door. 1800-726-7864. After being prompted through a maze of extensions and holding for 20 minutes we were told our refrigerator was no longer under warranty even though it was less than one year. They said they would send out a one time courtesy service call. A week and a half later a third party service company arrived and diagnosed the refrigerator as having 3 defective parts that needed to be replaced. He ordered the parts which took another two weeks. During this time we submitted our purchase receipt to correct the date of purchase and show the refrigerator was still under warranty. The new parts were installed and we thought all was well. Two days later, the refrigerator leaked again. It has been 3 full months now and the refrigerator has leaked water all over the floor 27 times. The Tech Pro Plus company (972-241-6413) Samsung hired to repair their product wont answer their phone and dont have a message leaving option. Samsung wont reissue another work order number to a new service provider because they have already paid Tech Pro Plus even though Samsung cannot get though to Tech Pro Plus either. Samsung says if they issue a new work order with a new repair company, it would be out of warranty and we would have to pay for the repair. Please help?

We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. The end caps to the handles are plastic and fall off regularly. One on the shelves in the side door is cracking. I would expect more out of a company for the price that we paid for this inferior product.

This refrigerator has a surprisingly large food capacity. It has the 4-zone drawer, adjustable shelves, ice maker and water in the door. One of my absolutely favorite feature of this refrigerator though is the built-in pitcher inside of the door. It can be used as a fruit infusion pitcher and it automatically refills itself! The worst fridge imaginable! Avoid purchasing a Samsung fridge with exterior ice & water dispenser. We have the French door version (not our first weve had LG in the past) and since Day 1 it has caused us grief and damaged our hardwood floors. The water dispenser nozzle is bent towards the fridge instead of straight down (default setting apparently according to Samsung), and dispenses water with such force that no matter what you do, you end up with water shooting back at you and ultimately onto the floor. Similar problems with the ice dispenser. Although it is always on CUBE setting, shards of ice always spill forth in all directions, ultimately ending up on the floor. We have had to place a tea towel beside the fridge to wipe up the floors EACH TIME we use either ice or water dispenser. Both water and ice dispensers have damaged our hardwood floors over time, and we have had this fridge for only 7 months! Calling Samsung warranty and repair is a nightmare too; disorganized group of customer service representatives who patch you through to another department, ultimately making you repeat the reason why you are calling in the first place. (Why Samsung doesnt have a customer complaint database accessible to all customer service reps is shocking to me.)Ultimately through Samsung we had a visit from a Samsung Certified Repair technician who fiddled around with a couple things and attempted to convince us all was good. We still have the same problems. I am going to work on returning this fridge. How anyone can purchase an appliance that damages your house AND requires you to do extra work is beyond comprehension. We purchased the fridge at Sears Canada and I will be fighting tooth and nail to exchange this for an LG.

We renovated our kitchen over a year ago and bought new appliances (fridge and range/ oven) at Lowe’s from Samsung. When I contacted them they said that I had to pay for the repair because it had been one month out of warranty even though Ive seen numerous posts about this issue from other Samsung range oven owners model number FTQ353IWUX. We were planning a kitchen renovation within the next several months, so we decided to start with the replacement of the ugly, old, but still effective Whirlpool. We went with Samsung because of its reputation as an electronics top brand. Our whole family had Samsung smart phones and TVs and had no complaints. Apparently that is where Samsung should concentrate their efforts. This dishwasher has NEVER properly cleaned our dishware. After 2 + years, Ive yet to find a sensible pattern to place the dishware for cleaning. My Whirlpool was so easy to load. This one is ridiculous. Even following the manufacturers guidelines, the dishes still do not get clean. I will say however, that it is QUIET! You can barely hear it running. I guess it doesnt need to make a lot of noise if its not doing anything productive. I am so disappointed in this $800 purchase. The stainless steel does, or did, look nice when we first got it. Very soon after, the stainless steel became stained, even though I carefully followed manufacturers instructions on cleaning the surface. Shortly after the 1st anniversary of purchase, while wiping down the front of the dishwasher one morning, the entire SAMSUNG lettering came off on my dishcloth. So now, we dont have to be embarrassed that we have a Samsung kitchen appliance. This purchase has not been in vain however, because we now make sure to always read reviews first before making any purchases of large ticket items. BTW, love our LG washer & dryer, still perfect after 8 yrs of use! Really glad we didnt purchase the Samsung refrigerator, we were so sure we wanted. But thats another story!

Clean the dishes very well. It automatically open to air out the steam and make the dishes smell fresh. It looks solid And beautiful. Very modern looking. All the controls are hidden on the top of the door and would light up. With very bright blue light it looks so futuristic. Love it. Stainless steel, fingerprint Proof, looks so expensive. Highly recommend.

I am doing something that I was hoping that I would not have to do. I am putting the Samsung Corporation on public blast because I have been given absolutely no other option! After purchasing a top of the line dishwasher just last fall, our unit has required repair for error codes 3 TIMES. All were under warranty and while the first tech was educated and efficient...the problem was not fixed leading us to where we are today. Approximately 6 weeks ago (while still within the manufactures warranty) we placed a call for repair. After an hour of waiting on the line, we were told that a service repair shop would be calling us. Never did. I called said company 3 times and left messages hoping for a return call. Never happened. Called Samsung back...waited an hour and 40 minutes for a rep. Was told that a repair shop would be calling me to schedule. Gave me the number for the exact same repair shop. I declined. Asked for another shop. They finally agreed to send someone else out at your request...like it was unusual that I wanted another company. That company called and scheduled with me but needed a week to order parts (how did they know what part if there was no in person diagnostic?). Fine. No dishwasher 2 weeks...ok, well be patient. Came out, replaced main board in about 30 min and was out. Started the cycle and it looked to be working and left. Day after, first full load in the machine...ERROR CODE. Are you kidding me? Called Samsung...I could go on and on about the HOURS AND HOURS we have sat on hold with Samsung. At least 1 hour and 30 minutes EACH CALL, EVERY TIME. We have phone records to support this. We have asked to be expedited to executive customer service = declined. We have asked for a replacement unit = declined. We have asked why this has happened = no answer. WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN PATIENT but at this point it has been upwards of SIX WEEKS since this has started and there has been NO RESOLUTION whatsoever. We have followed up almost every other day with this company to check the status, we have proven our bill of sale, we have provided them with many, many, many opportunities to make this right = DECLINED. We asked for our case to be forwarded to a higher level = declined. We feel totally at their mercy. We are at our wits end because we feel we are being taken advantage of and have been given NO SOLUTION to our issue. The customer service has been DEPLORABLE to say the least. I am BEGGING for someone, anyone...please help! Has anyone experienced this? What do we do? We 100% do not want this unit anymore (when warranty is up...well be responsible to pay for these constant error codes to be fixed) and we would be more than happy with either a full refund or an exchange for a non-Samsung dishwasher (from HH Gregg). We feel like this company has us strung up with no option but to be continually jacked around. We have asked for a copy of our communication transcript and were told that they cannot provide that for us. (WHAT?) We do not have finances to pursue legal action, but if we did, that is the route we feel is appropriate after all that we have experienced.

Mother boards failed in 2 year old unit. There was no one to service the unit even though I had the extended warranty. Samsung was unwilling to help and tried to get out of it. The company pushes the extended warranty but then wont honor the warranty. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. They make you feel like you are clueless as to how a unit should work and make you feel like you did something to cause the failure. Having to throw out food because of non-functioning refrigerator is not a good thing. Totally useless piece of electrical garbage. I finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool unit. Samsung makes an impressive looking unit but it doesnt last and the company isnt interested in fixing the problem.

We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper drawers. In the past month we have had 5 technicians come out all say the same thing, the drain line gets clogged and frozen causing water to overflow into and below the crisper drawers. The fix according to Samsung was replacing the back panel of the fridge, the evaporator panel I believe. We replaced that, in less than two weeks, we had water back in the drawers. Luckily we bought the extended warranty through Lowes but had spoken to a representative at the store that suggest we call Samsung directly. I tried that tonight, after two hours on the phone, I was asked what I expected them to do. Our unit was out of warranty (its three years old), and according to them this is not a known problem whatsoever. In fact, they even told me that there was NO record of this being reported to them at all. Even after explaining to them that I had found multiple reports of the same issue, and even on their own website have found consumers asking why they are having this exact problem was still told there was nothing they could do but CHARGE me for a service call to come and take a look at the unit. After this experience, I will no longer be purchasing any Samsung Appliances and will strongly influence any family and friends from doing so as well. Their customer service is not up to par and it’s apparent that they don’t really stand behind their product or the consumer that purchases their product! The Model Number that I have purchased is RF217ACRS which is now listed as a support product on the Samsung website which I am assuming means they are no longer selling this particular product! Buyer Beware when purchasing a Samsung Refrigerator!!!

This Samsung dmr78ahs dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. We constant failures. There are rope cables attached to springs that counterweight the door. They constantly break. The upper basket adjuster brackets fail yearly. Now the water inlet valve is leaking. These are all poor component quality issues and design problems. We have had our range two weeks. We are very careful when we cook, we do not place anything on the range other than a pot or pan we are cooking with. We do not slide pots and pans across the glass top. Regardless of being extra careful, there are already small scratches in the glass. I dont understand why this glass top is so delicate. We had a Kitchenaid glass top before this. Lasted years without mars on the glass. Very disappointed in the quality of the glass. Otherwise, we have no issues with the range...yet. The machine quit working after seven months. Never really fell in love with
The machine quit working after seven months. Never really fell in love with the thing. First, the racks are awkward. They look nice in the store but you cant stack dishes in them very well. Next, the wheels pop off the rack when you slid it in or out like the designer had been fired from the Lego factory. Next, the depth of the unit is not a standard depth. It sticks out into the kitchen just enough that when you lean against the counter, you hit the buttons on the front of the machine turn it on or off, or changing the settings. Next, the soap dispenser wasnt designed right because if you put pot or a pitcher too close, the front edge, it doesnt open. Then you have to wait another three hours for clean dishes. Finally and the biggest one is that it must have cheap components. It just died. After the repairman looked at it, he said it could be the control circuit or it could be drain motor. Really? Because when you think about it or if you have ever checked one of these out mechanically, there are only three parts that can break down. He mention two of them. On the other hand, this is the perfect machine if you: 1) Like doing dishes my hand. You can even use the dishwasher racks to dry them on, if you dont mind the two cent wheels that pop off; 2) If you have so much kitchen space you dont mind sacrificing 20 cubic feet for a giant unmovable paperweight; 3) The repair person is good friend you want to send business to until the warranty runs out; 4) You have several hundred dollars that you want to either give to the Occupy cause (heads) or the 1%ers (tails) and tails won and you dont know how else to give it them; 5) You have in-laws that constantly come over and want to get rid of them by making them eat off dirty dishes; 6) You love the stench of stagnant water that develops while you wait for repairs. My old dishwasher was in the house when I bought it 14 years ago. Who knew that the old clunky Roper was good and brand new Samsung was garbage? There are only about three functional parts to a dishwasher: pump in, pump out and a control unit. All three can be easily manufactured to function for 20 years. You have to really try to make something that will go out in less than four years. In other words, your Samsung is designed to fall apart in about 36 months. Following a normal curve, some us end up with the ones that die in less than a year and other will get a machine that last 48 months. I have canned goods in my cupboard that lasted longer than my dishwasher! Something should be done. I know this is long winded, but what else do I have to do while I am again waiting of the repairman to call?

My hardwood floor is damaged - second time in two months! We found water puddling up on the right side facing the fridge. In searching for the source, we found a small puddle inside the fridge on the right side just under the large cold-cut drawer. On further inspection and upon taking the drawer out, we found a solid thick block of ice! In fact, it was very difficult to remove the drawer. We thought we were breaking something! That was two months ago. The Samsung authorized repairman told us that the back panel was frozen, we would have to turn the fridge off for 2 days and then he would come back, take the panel off and maybe find what was causing our problem. How do you store all your cold food for two days? Well, he said our fridge was too cold and that we caused the problem! Well, two months later the fridge was at recommended temp and the same problem happened again. Now, we find its a design problem and Samsung is sending out a bulletin to their authorized repair people in two weeks!

I have the Samsung RS265TDRS side by side refrigerator which I purchased 8-11-10 from hhgregg. I purchased a 5 year warranty with it at the time. Since the purchase, within a week I started calling for service. They replaced the display, ice maker, main control board, evaporator fan twice while it was in warranty. Since the warranty ran out in the past year I have replaced the evaporator fan and have had to remove and defrost the coils in the refrigerator twice and open the drain in the pan on the freezer side. Right now I have the icemaker pulled out and the water turned off. It kept putting water in the ice maker but wasnt dumping ice. Ice built up inside the freezer like a glacier. So I called Samsung Chat!! They claimed they are unaware of any of these issues on their website! DUH! Anyways they claim they have filed a report and will get back with me. Well see! In my opinion I have a LEMON!! BAD Purchase!! No Backup!! They should stick with electronics! Do not recommend Samsung Refrigerators!

Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

I have owned one Samsung refrigerator and will never buy another one, except for a boat anchor. I have had trouble with the ice maker ever since we had the refrigerator, it is so terrible. It freezes constantly and the ice will pour out all over the floor. We have hard wood flooring in our home and this refrigerator has made a mess of it. I just want to let Samsung know that their product is a piece of crap and is more expensive than other brands which our friends have. They never have problems like we do. We have had it worked on so many times. We could and should have ditched this thing and bought a new one of some other brand name, but we kept hoping that it could be repaired to work as advertised. There should be some type of liability placed on a manufacture for making such a terrible product. Thanks for nothing.

I bought the Samsung French Doors/Bottom Freezer in June 13, 2011 (Model RF266AEPN/XAA). The first repair came in December 2011. Control panel was iced. The refrigerator was not cooling. In fact, temperature control showed 68 degrees! Then there was the issue of the freezer door. You had to forcefully open it, as though the side rails that supported the freezer seem to lock, preventing the door to open. Then once opened, it had to be forcefully closed. Now, its happening again. Refrigerator is losing its cool. It just so happened that I kept the old Amana in the garage. Ive had to transfer the items from the Samsung to the Amana. I called BrandsMart USA on Friday, March 16, 2012, where it was purchased since it is still under warranty. They set up for someone to contact me on Monday, March 19, 2012. I am going to look into whether I can return it to BrandsMart USA. The first time it was repaired, the Samsung repairman said they were having issues with these refrigerators. I am going to check with my legal plan to see what can be done. I will not purchase a Samsung anything again.

My repeated attempts to get from Samsung or Lake Electronics any documents proving the statement of their technician was laughed at by both Samsung Customer Service and Manager of Lake Electronics. Final answer from Samsung Customer Service was: Your Warranty is void.My technician from Broward Factory Service told me that Samsung dishwashers and other electronics are very bad and unreliable, and that I would be much better off replacing my machine than fixing Samsung on my own dime. I purchased my Samsung electric range Model NE597R0ABSR in September of 2014 from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas. Last week on 08/10/2017 the oven suddenly caught on fire when I turned the oven on. Nothing in the oven. The control panel read that the temperature of the oven was only 275 degrees. I just heard a clicking noise and then a small boom and I could see my oven was on fire through the glass. Smoke alarm went off, and I got the fire out without getting hurt. The heating element in the oven had caught fire on its left side and was melted. The lens around the light was also scorched and then there was all the damage to the walls of the oven being scorched, the oven door glass was also scorched and damaged. I was very lucky that I was still in my kitchen when it caught fire or else I imagine more damage would have occurred to my kitchen and home. Of course being 3 years old it was no longer under warranty, but from the number of complaints on this same issue with Samsung ranges which not only includes my model number but other Samsung models it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I called Samsung customer service 1-800-726-7864 and told them what happened and they said it was no longer under warranty. I said to them that it looked like a manufacturing defect and was told well manufacturing defects were only covered for 1 year (ridiculous). The stove is a fire hazard. I unplugged the stove after I got the fire out. Then the Samsung customer service rep I talked to the 3rd time finally said that they would sent an authorized repair service to my home to evaluate the damage. Samsung would pay for the service evaluation and the labor to replace the parts, BUT NOT THE PARTS. Turned out that when the tech took the back off of the stove, it was the wiring harness that had been on fire also, plus the circuit board was damaged and that was just what he could see without taking it apart any further. Turned out the circuit board, the wiring harness and oven heating element parts would be a whopping $420.00. That was just the beginning, then there would be another $60 charge for the tech to come back. I told the repair service I was not paying for any parts and would not be having the stove repaired and it was ridiculous for me to have to pay anything at all for Samsungs negligence in manufacturing a stove with so many defects. An electric stove should never just catch on fire because the oven was turned on, and the wiring harness shouldnt have caught fire ever. That $1000.00 stove should have lasted more than 3 years. Samsung obviously does not care about their customers, or their well being, and I will never buy another Samsung product. So many of their appliances have exploded, caught on fire that it is ridiculous that these same products continue to be sold to the unsuspecting US public.

If you are like me and really like Samsung televisions, dont be foolish and expect the same quality from their kitchen appliances. I purchased an electric range and it is so lacking in every respect. Foremost, the oven burns so hot, every dish burns on the bottom and ALL BAKING is ruined. Its hot temperatures do not correlate to those of the recipes forcing you to remove it ten minutes before the suggested recipe temperature. Even then, the result is a dry brownie or cake... In other words, it overlooks everything. After calling Samsung they threatened me with the fact that if a man comes here and finds it is not a technical problem of the stove, I will be charged. So much for their guarantee and quality. DONT BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES. BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS... They at least know how to bake a brownie like my former stove by Frigidaire. Should have stuck with them. Also the top is horrendous to clean and its hard to read the setting pads.

I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? I purchased a Stainless Steel counter depth French door refrigerator w/ drawer freezer at a premium price through Lowes. Within 7 months, the ice maker stopped working and a noise like a motor straining to work started. That issue was taken care of with a service call. Then it happened again. This time, I called Samsung and the girl I spoke to wanted me to remove the ice maker unit. The owners manual said not to do that so I had another service call. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. The ice maker stopped working, and now the ice maker started working again. This refrigerator makes more noise than my dishwasher! So, I am going to have to call for service again. We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

This is the first and last time that I will purchase any products from Samsung. I purchased 4 appliances on April 14, 2019. I called because I needed repair to my range. I have made multiple calls and yet not resolved. First call agent did not speak English well, no help there! Second call agent muffled could not understand at all, however, provided her with the necessary documents and info including serial number etc. Waited 24 hours and no call from repair company. Called them and again needed to submit necessary documents/receipt since they did not have. (Mind you the range belongs to my 86 year old mother and of course with the current healthcare crisis needs a range). The third agent basically reprimanded me for not having the appropriate info on my receipt such as serial number. The Home Depot receipt does not have the serial number on the receipt but it does state the items that were purchased (Samsung Kitchen Package). Now I called HD to obtain a full invoice and of course I will not have for a couple days which may have the potential of falling out of warranty. You can guarantee that I will be calling the Department of Aging to file a complaint especially with the current situation that the US is currently in. One would think that providing the supporting documentation would be enough to schedule a repair. Now an 86 year old is left without a range (especially since she is self-sheltered) for God knows how long. I welcome a call!

I have a Samsung refrigerator that I purchased about 3 years ago. Last Christmas we lost power for about 10 seconds and the refrigerator stopped working. I unplugged it and waited about 10 minutes and plugged it in again, and it started up again. Whoever heard of such a thing? I noticed one of the doors to the refrigerator was lower than the other, and scraping on the freezer door below... Ice maker is available, but I dont use it, and the cover kept falling off. Eventually the small box fell down into the freezer and I had to keep adjusting it until a friend finally unhooked it. Last night, (Sat. night) I opened the refrigerator door and noticed the temp. was 48 degrees. I unplugged again and waited 1/2 an hour then plugged it in again. It didnt work. I went to bed and this morning the refrigerator was working. I had a Samsung smart tv that lasted about 14 months and stopped working. My repairman said it could not be fixed and he had never seen such a cheaply made tv... I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product...

Refrigerator is three year old and cost about $2000. Last week the evaporator fan (inside of the refrigerator) started getting noisy. After looking online and discovering that this is a common issue I contacted the support people at Samsung. I received a canned response that said it could be caused by lots of things. They recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to let the evaporator thaw and for the ice to melt. If it happens again Im supposed to call for a repair appointment. We had to move all of our contents out of the refrigerator to let the evaporator thaw before we could get the cover off to clean out the drain. This is a really poor product backed up by offshore support auto responders. For your next refrigerator purchase choose any product other than Samsung.

It absolutely amazes me that SAMSUNG thinks it is okay for a 4 year old microwave to come on anytime the door is opened. Anyone else see a problem that this is dangerous to our children whom did not realize it was not working properly, so they stuck their hand in the microwave to lay the food on the turntable - all the while the microwave was operating - WITH THE DOOR OPEN??? I have a ticket number, a chat ID number and 2 phone calls from ** from their escalation team. Each of these encounters with their support team showed no concerns nor did they think they were responsible or liable for anything, they will NOT fix my microwave. So, for now I am using my 15 year old Sharp microwave in my garage. I replaced the keypad after 2 years because if you boiled anything on the right side of your stove the vent is not adequate enough nor is the keypad waterproofed so the condensation gets in and shorts it out. The repairman informed me Samsung had since figured this out on the next years model and corrected it, but did they repair my keypad? NO! I suppose I shouldve known better than to think they would care that my microwave comes on as soon as anyone opens the door, they were not concerned in the least! Guess my new 60 inch TV will be a Panasonic, that definitely changed my mind.

Very, very weird!!! Where and what material is this made of??? Is it dangerous to our health??? I am afraid to keep it for health reasons.

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

We have a Samsung Fridge, which we bought in March of 2012 at Lowes. In December of 2012 I noticed the icemaker was no longer making ice. Thankfully the appliance was under warranty so the repairman came and fixed it. I thought everything was fixed until about 8 months later. No more ice. Every two weeks my husband and I have to take apart the ice machine system and thaw it out. Reading the comments it sounds like this will be a problem until I feel we have gotten our 2,000 dollars worth and then we can take a sledgehammer to it after we buy a different fridge that is NOT a Samsung. What a piece of **.

We clean it out then it works for a few days then the fan starts to spin very fast then faster till it gives up due to the ice buildup in the back. After that we have to do it all over again. We paid 1200 for it and cant afford to buy another one. Food goes to the trash when the fan gives out, I want to see if theres a recall or what can I do, or if they can give a different one.

Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!

We purchase a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TD less than two years ago. The whole unit shut down today and we lost most of our food. A technician came out, said the control board was gone and would have to be replaced for $411! Tried to get through to Samsung with no luck. The technician said Samsung was the worst units that he works on. When we first got the refrigerator almost 2 years ago it took them almost 3 weeks to get the ice maker tubes attached. This is unacceptable. These appliances should last at least 10 years with no problems. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

I had a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator that froze up completely in the back which stops the fan and then the refrigerator does not cool. Had it repaired 3 times in a month. Problem kept happening and I pretty much didn’t have a working refrigerator for 5 weeks. Finally the repairman told me the whole cooling system had to be replaced. The cost would be at least 1200.00. I wasn’t going to put that much money into a refrigerator that was over 7 years old. I thought this was just bad luck and went out and bought another Samsung refrigerator. 2 years later the exact same thing is happening and I’m going through the same thing with the Samsung Repairman who keeps coming in to fix it and two weeks later it happens again. Now I find out doing my research that this is a common problem for Samsung refrigerators and there are two class action lawsuits against them. Because the refrigerator is less than 5 years old the main cooling system is still under warranty, but Samsung doesn’t want to admit that that’s the problem and replace it. Customer service is not helpful at all and they really don’t care how long you have to go without a refrigerator. Besides this problem the inside of these refrigerators are made like crap. All the shelves on the doors have cracks in them and all the wheels on the drawers have snapped off. I will never buy another Samsung product again, unfortunately it was a very expensive lesson to learn.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refrigerator site that are soul jarring. Samsung’s refrigerators don’t work: **. Samsung’s behavior is clearly a corporate recognition of a refrigerator failure problem and use of a purposefully painful customer service experience to suppress or even eliminate revenue loss from fixing their problems. They can build a TV, but boy the Samsung refrigerator division... no other way to say it... sucks. Remarkable that they go adversarial with people who bought their product. These people bought their product, they supported revenue for the company. They are not the bad guys and are not deserving the persecution articulated in these postings. We purchased our remodeled condo in St Pete recently and just this week discovered that our impressive looking 3 or 4 year old Samsnot (nickname I heard in conversations about this brand) refrigerator (RF24FSEDBSR/AA) is unable to prevent foods from spoiling or doing exactly what everyone on the Samsung site is complaining about, not staying cold.In addition to the cooling system failure in only 4 years, we found the Samsnot fridge to be poorly designed vis a vis: The doors dont close! Often, very often, we look over and see that the door we had swung closed and walked away from is open slightly. There is a short lived, tiny audio alarm to alert you, but you can barely hear it. If it was loud enough, the frequency of door open alarms would qualify as Abu Gahrib sound torture. They cant build a refrigerator that has dependably closing doors? I’m 72 and never had a fridge that didn’t allow its doors to close. As Jackie Mason would say... Refrigerators are not their line of work. The stainless finish is also a challenge to keep righteous. It always smears and you need to be wiping that stainless steel spray stuff on... All the time... to keep it moderately presentable. They actually engineered a high maintenance finish. And the ice maker! What a piece of annoying scree that contraption is. It has legions of people complaining about it. After reading the online complaints, we turn ours off just to make life easier. First it jams so that to remove it from inside the refrigerator, you need Dwayne Johnson to show up and then yank it free of its receptacle. Why remove the ice maker? Once Dwayne has pulled the rudimentary ice making device out for you, it is then necessary to go in and clean out the built up ice-frost in the ice maker compartment... you know... defrost it.We bought our condo with this piece of Samsnot junk already installed, so we are shaping our posture on this Samsnot mechanical travesty to be that we really didnt pay for it and that we can kind of justify going out and buying a new fridge. Given what is written on the Samsung refrig site, we dont even want to allow Sams the opportunity to defile us with their malevolent customer service. We are the second owners and well out of the 1 year warranty but still within the 5 year warranty for the cooling system, nevertheless we see that did not do any of the people on the site much good. Fridges were effortlessly built to last 15 to 25 years in the 60s. How can these Samsung people, from a culture oriented to excellence (think Honda/Toyota/Panasonic/Subaru/Sony), be so unskilled and then so combative when asked to make things right?I feel compelled to educate unsuspecting people to the reported hazards of this brand’s refrigerator failure plus my own experience with my under 5 year failure. My efforts will never impact their overall business, but given the bevy of refrigerator makers competing for the consumers refrigerator dollar any friction to their business will offer some measure of gratification. Samsung’s own site with lots of complaints, if you missed it before: **.

The door clips keep breaking, you can’t get in and out of the freezer part and the MOST frustrating is the ICE MAKER! I have spent no less than 15 hrs trying to fix it. It was out of warranty two weeks and got nothing from Samsung. I am going to share something I have learned: Always ask how much the extended warranty is, if it’s almost half as much as the original cost of the thing you are purchasing STAY AWAY!!! I figured this out after having bought 3 dishwashers and two refrigerators. Case in point current refrigerator (Samsung french door) warranty was $756.00 I paid $1,600.00 for it new and have had nothing but problems. Oven was $350 for warranty new it was $1,700. I bought a Samsung SMH9187 microwave in November 2010 and on 9/2/12, it spontaneously beeped and showed the dreaded SE code that so many have written about. I tried to cycle it per the instructions by unplugging the unit with no result. The keypad was dead. I called Samsung service who were less than helpful. They could not find an authorized repairman anywhere nearby and I live in a major metropolitan area. After spending about 4 hours trying to find a local repair person who works on Samsung with no luck, I called Samsung again and pressed very hard for a repairmans name in my area. They finally found only one. He, fortunately, was quite helpful over the phone, but so far away that he would not do the repair. He told me that the part number is DE94-02001C and is available for about $52 at Sears Parts Direct and mentioned that anyone handy with computers could make the repair. I was about to go that route when I found these posts and tried the quick fix of holding the Stop/Clear and Start buttons together - and so far, so good. Meanwhile, I would advise anyone considering a purchase of this unit to be sure there is a Samsung repairman nearby before purchasing. The microwave is clearly not reliable based on the number of keypad failures mentioned here within the first 15-36 months. Planned obsolescence and poor service to boot.

In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer
In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer at the bottom (Model #: RF261BEAEWW/AA-0001). Two weeks ago, we noticed the icemaker abruptly stopped working. Shortly thereafter, water accumulated under the refrigerator crisper and seeped from under the right side. Not really understanding what was going on, I just cleaned it every two to three days. Now as of three days ago, I began hearing a humming/grinding noise coming from the upper rear center on the inside of the fridge. It sounded like the fan was hitting something as its spinning. It only does it when the doors are closed and you can hear it winding down when you open the door. When you close the doors, it winds up to full speed again and the loud irritating sound returns. Now, since the icemaker stopped I turned it off yet the noise is still active. While doing an inspection, I found a build up of ice in the back of the fridge.Turning to the internet for Diagnostics and DYI Repair advice, I have come across countless of sites with hundreds of complaints warning people Samsung will not recognize their horrible flaw(s) within their product. Samsung Service Centers have you open a ticket but then tell you they apparently cant fix the issue(s). Like many here, I dont have money to freely give a technician who will in turn place a Band-Aid on the problem; only for the refrigerator to disintegrate it and I succumb to the same issues month(s) later. They built the fridge and therefore they should have the ability to successfully repair it! Samsung shouldve just stuck with manufacturing electronics. I believed in their products until now. I, for one, will not be buying any of their major appliances anymore. Since they refuse to issue a recall notice on their clearly defected product I would like more information as to where and how to add my name to the lawsuit against them.

Despite the fact that the dishwasher constantly smelled awful… it worked. By April 2015, I was getting the same error code. Samsung refused to stand behind their product. This is obviously a major problem with this unit with the numerous complaints and we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg! Shame on you Samsung for not addressing this problem fairly. We have owned our $2000 refrigerator for just about 2 years when the motherboard and the inverter broke down. Everything in the refrigerator had to be thrown away, including the $150 of groceries we just purchased! We have been without a refrigerator for over 2 months because getting it serviced and fixed takes very long. Ordering the part alone is a feat in itself. The part would not be received by Samsung until November 6 making it even longer to be fixed. They would receive it then send it to the parts company here on Oahu. Well, being that we have a party on October 31st, my husband ordered the $111.00 inverter on his own and paid extra to have the part rushed over. We will receive the inverter on Tuesday, 10/21 and the maintenance person will come on Wednesday to fix our refrigerator. I will never recommend a Samsung appliance, never. P.S. class action law suit on Samsung ice makers. Look it up. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG ANYTHING!

I purchased a Samsung microwave (#SMH9187ST) about 2 years ago, and it is now displaying an SE code on the panel. Turning it off and flipping the breaker, as Samsung Support suggested, didnt work at all. The SE code returned. It will cost me $250-$350 to have the display replaced. Based on all the reviews at this website, Samsung should step up and recall this model. My previous GE SpaceSaver model lasted many many years before it finally stopped working. Two years is unacceptable. I hope my new Samsung refrigerator lasts longer than 2 years.

Let it be known that Samsung has terrible customer service and dont stand behind their name nor products. I have a refrigerator (Model# RF28HMEDBBC/AA) that is just over a year old that is rusting on the outside as well as the black coating peeling off. They are telling me it is Cosmetic Damage and not covered. I could buy a new door if I am not happy. I understand Cosmetic Damage but this is not a scratch! It is rust!!! I have contacted them numerous times only to be told they can have a service tech come and take a look but I have to pay for it. The complaint escalated to higher customer service just to tell me that they have not previous complaints about this so there is nothing they could do.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA in June of 2014, and have since had to have the ice maker replaced 3 times for a total of $1000. It originally failed just a year after the frig was purchased, so was no longer under warranty, and that bill was slightly over $500. In August of this year it failed again, and that experience cost $400. At that time the repair company said they were no longer doing warranty work for Samsung due to the issues with the ice maker. Here it is 2 months later and the icemaker has failed again. This morning the tech came out and we were charged $100 for a service call, and it is still not making ice. Samsung wont do anything about the problem. We are probably going to have to purchase a different brand of refrigerator as we have already spent 25% of what the original purchase price was for repairs. No more Samsung for me.

Ice Maker not working- Refrigerator not staying cold: Already had a tech out to repair the ice maker and the refrigerator and he replaced the ice maker and the back panel on the refrigerator with the two cooling fans. Less than two weeks later and we are experiencing the exact same issues as if nothing had been fixed. On doing research I discovered that this is a known issue and that Samsung used to replace the refrigerators with new ones, but that obviously got too expensive to continue. So now if you are out of warranty you are out of luck! Never buying a Samsung appliance again.

We bought this Samsung convection microwave oven and had it two weeks and inside Glass Shattered. Very very dangerous especially when a child is standing in front of it. Very very disappointed with Samsung on their products. We bought all the Black Stainless Samsung products, Microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer. And within days there is scratches on every item we bought. We spend over $1,000 and within one week everything we owned looked like it was already 2 years old due to the awful scratches. We waited 3 months to even get them, they had to get them from Korea. Now have to wait another 3 months for a microwave which out of 500 complaints from glass shattering the new one will probably shattering again. Because Samsung wont recall this horrible item. Customers DONT buy Samsung especially ANY Black Stainless.

Unit is now 2 years old and the ice maker compartment hasnt worked right. During the first year we had a rep out to work on it. Its a good thing we bought an additional 2 year warranty thru the store. Weve had that check out 3 times now. He replaced the fan, sealed the ice maker from the fridge, now has replaced the whole ice maker compartment. Next step would be computer controls. The biggest problem is that once the ice tray is filled it grinds up half of the ice cubes. I said its the auger design... I have 3 other Samsung units, washer, dryer and dishwasher no problems. What up?

I am 60 years old and have lived in many different places around the world. In most of those places I had a stove/oven but never had any problems with them. They always just seemed to work. My 3 year old Samsung on the other hand has a bad motherboard. Yep, a stove with a motherboard and yes motherboards go bad. I wouldnt buy another Samsung anything. What a piece of junk.

Purchased the Samsung microwave SMH9207ST in July 2014. Stopped heating in September of same year. Called Samsung and they sent a serviceman to fix it. Problem solved... for a while. Its now April 2015 (were still within the one-year warranty period) and not only does it occasionally stop heating, but the turntable doesnt work. Called Samsung and they said were out of warranty! When they looked further into our account, they said they sometimes have computer issues and they no longer showed our original bill-of-sale information in their system, and said wed have to send in a copy of the original to them. We dont have that receipt any longer (Lowes) so were out of luck. Will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again, based on our experience with this microwave and the lack of quality customer service.
