As others have noted the refrigerator by Samsung has been a problem since day one. Water and ice accumulates in the vegetable bin area. The water storage vessel located on the back wall freezes and has ruptured on several occasions, requiring replacement. The defrost heater shorts out and is not operational, numerous issues with the main control board and the reprogrammed and updated replacements, poor design and engineering requiring design modifications in the field, water and ice systems freeze up, do not work and do not dispense. Overall, Samsung service is unresponsive and basically not knowledgeable. Their design and engineering groups dont have a clue. Most recent repair included the installation of new and upgraded main panel which was to resolve all the problems. Issue is that after the installation of three separate new and improved and reprogrammed panels only some of the issues were addressed and the reprogramming actually caused other problems. The original main board panel that came with my refrigerator is long gone, no longer manufactured. The replacement panel has a new set of issues including that other basic functions were not programmed into the new main panel design. So for example, for the refrigerator and freezer to operate I have lost several functions such as the light in the freezer compartment. This item for example was never programmed into the newest control panel. I was told this directly from the tech rep at Samsung and the repair folks. Keep in mind my French door refrigerator that cost over two thousand dollars and is less than four years old is a mush mash of parts and accessories. The main panel has been replaced several times and three separate panels were required to be able, installed this time just to get to a point that the refrigerator functioned and the defrost heater assembly had voltage to operate. Keep in mind that I now have a refrigerator that have systems that cannot function because the main board was not properly programmed and Samsung does not seem to care. They wont even return a phone call and customer service is a joke. One more thing. I was with the service person the entire time that my refrigerator was being worked on. If I ever hear one more time the senior service technician from Samsung tell the onsite servicing rep let me tell you off the record what you should do I will scream!! The senior service tech at Samsung confirmed that there was a serious issue with the freezing and rupturing of the water vessels on the interior rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. He indicated that Samsung has failed to address this issue with a repair or service bull item as it would basically acknowledge that there indeed is a design and operational flaw in the unit. Off the record, the onsite rep was told to go out and get a thin piece of closed cell foam and place it between the water vessel and rear wall of the refrigerator compartment as some other site repair folks have found that to be the resolution to the vessel freezing and rupturing issue.” Well I will close out my comments for now, but will likely be writing again as the refrigerator has problem after problem and Samsung is unable to effectively resolve the issues. By the way, since my refrigerator, which is less than four years old is out of warranty, and I have had to pay for all the repairs myself, the cost to date now exceeds the original cost of the unit. The unit was about $2,300.00 and with the latest partial fix adding another $420,00, I am into this great product to the tune of over $4,800.00. No help from Samsung here!! Looking for a new refrigerator now and certainly would like to see Samsung step up and make this right and cut me a refund check for the $4,800.00 I have invested so far. Maybe they should also take into account the spoiled food and inconvenience to my family while they are at it. Dont Buy Samsung Products!!

The home I bought came with a french door Samsung fridge model number RF263
The home I bought came with a french door Samsung fridge model number RF263AEBP. About 3 days after moving in the fridge stopped cooling. Luckily our home came with a home warranty so we filed a claim. There is a known defect with this model Samsung fridge and Samsung is doing nothing to resolve the issue. A family in NJ had to file a class action lawsuit to try getting help from Samsung. The fridge stops cooling and water forms under the fridge. Ice covers the coils therefore the fan stops working. The fridge then goes into defrost mode. This has been an absolute headache for us.We have forked out money on short term repairs and have lost money spent on food that has gone bad. This fridge is easily worth $3000.00. Samsung should be ashamed! I feel there should be a recall on their faulty product. I WILL NEVER buy another Samsung product after seeing how Samsung treats their customers. Im now trying to decide if we should put more money into this fridge or go out and buy a new one. Steer clear of Samsung!!!

Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.

I bought this refrigerator in 09 and DID get the extended warr., thank god for that. I have had nothing but trouble with it. Today they are coming out again to fix it. The back keeps freezing up. This is getting to be a pain. They said the repairmain will decide it cant be fixed. Well, all I say is I only have a year left on the warranty and it better get fixed right this time or I want another brand. Will never by this brand again.

If you are like me and really like Samsung televisions, dont be foolish and expect the same quality from their kitchen appliances. I purchased an electric range and it is so lacking in every respect. Foremost, the oven burns so hot, every dish burns on the bottom and ALL BAKING is ruined. Its hot temperatures do not correlate to those of the recipes forcing you to remove it ten minutes before the suggested recipe temperature. Even then, the result is a dry brownie or cake... In other words, it overlooks everything. After calling Samsung they threatened me with the fact that if a man comes here and finds it is not a technical problem of the stove, I will be charged. So much for their guarantee and quality. DONT BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES. BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS... They at least know how to bake a brownie like my former stove by Frigidaire. Should have stuck with them. Also the top is horrendous to clean and its hard to read the setting pads.

The management company for my apartment purchased for me a Samsung Microwav
The management company for my apartment purchased for me a Samsung Microwave model 18H704SFS in Sept 2015 from PC Richards. Since purchasing, it has stopped working three times and required service. The problem is with the sensors on the door which have been replaced only to fail again. My old cube microwave (thank God I saved it), which I had for over 15 years, never failed me... and I have had to bring it out of storage each time my new Samsung decided to stop functioning. Wonder of wonders, it still works perfectly unlike my nearly new Samsung.Even though I purchased a 5 yr warranty, all this costs me time in multiple appointments and return visits with parts ordered, not to mention all the phone calls. I just now turned to ConsumerAffairs to read Samsung microwave reviews, something I should have done before I bought Samsung as I see other persons with the very same complaint. I have a Samsung phone which I like. The microwave, however, seems to be a loser. Buyer beware!

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. The device appeared to be getting phantom button presses (fortunately not the start button) and beeping until I pulled the power plug. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. Was amazed to see that this fragile connection spans 8+ years of production. Seeing that this has happened to so many others, makes me feel lucky that I got this much use out of it.

The vegetable drawer on the left side kept on freezing over. I had two visits from the repair technician. On his final visit after constantly calling the repair department and following all of their instructions, he came to the conclusion that the fridge was not repairable. Samsung said since it was out of the manufacturer’s warranty. They would give me a prorated refund. Sound like I should be satisfied right? The only thing is that before I can get any money I have to cut the cord and send it in. With a family of 8 what am I supposed to do until then?! I find their policies heartless and immoral.

Since we purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2002 we have had two different issues with the unit, the first related to a $450.00 electronics card that controlled the temperature. Lost everything in the refrigerator and was compensated by manufacturer for half the loss. The card was covered under warranty. Before the repairman left we were advised to purchase an extended warranty for $500.00 which covered parts and labor for the next 3 years. I declined. About a month ago the ice maker stopped working. After assessment by Samsungs repair service he said the only repair was replacement of the ice maker, of which they had many on the truck. Hmmm? Cost of parts and repair....$450.00. I said no and paid $50.00 for the house call and ordered the $120.00 ice maker from RepairClinic.com and replaced it myself in 10 minutes with the help of a Youtube video. My point... $3,000.00 Samsung refrigerators are designed to fail in two to three years so they can charge you $400.00 for the replacement of a $50.00 part. This is part of their business plan. You will be surprised how much money you can save by purchasing the part from an online parts supplier and getting installation instructions off Youtube.

Weve been in this house since November 1998. Our previous Kenmore was working fine when we decided to remodel with all-stainless steel kitchen appliances. This evening (10/20/2013), as we were preparing dinner, we were melting butter. The first time, the time wasnt set long enough. When we attempted to continue melting the butter, the SE error code appeared. Nothing I did would return the unit to normal. This is ridiculous to pay a premium for a so-called top-of-the-line appliance and it lasts approximately two years.Just this past week, we had to have out Samsung dishwasher serviced because debris had jammed the impeller preventing the wash pump from operating. I was told by the repair tech that the GE Pot Scrubber (that was also working fine) would have ground discharged the debris but dishes have to be completely pre-rinsed of all food debris prior to being loaded into a Samsung dishwasher to prevent eventual clogging of the impeller. I wont get into the ridiculous cost of 400-gallon water filters for Samsung refrigerators.

We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.

Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a heat crack (isnt this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumers fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

Bought my Samsung Microwave ME21F707MJT alongside the Samsung slide in range 2 months ago and recently installed it over the weekend. Ive used it about 3-4 times to heat up some food and once before to make some popcorn. Well this time around I went to make some popcorn using the preset popcorn button as usual and went to the bedroom. After a few minutes I smelled burning smoke and sent my friend to check on the popcorn. She screamed out my name and I went running to the kitchen only to see the microwave in flames. I put it out with a wet tshirt I had used to clean something off the countertop with. Disaster averted.Called BestBuy, BestBuy transferred me to Samsung. Samsung was more worried if I was injured or had property damage. Gave me a ticket number like others before and said I would get a call back within 24hrs. (9:15 am) Finally got a call from Samsung at around 3:00 pm the following day and again, they seem more worried if I was injured or incurred property damage. I was told that a service agent would be scheduled to come to my house and service the microwave. Yep, you read right. Service my microwave. I told her politely that I am a loyal Samsung customer with Samsung phones, tvs, tablets, gas range and microwave, and that I DO NOT want a repaired, serviced dysfunctional microwave that caught on fire and is liable to do so again and Samsung should be happy that this incident wasnt worst than it was and that they should be more than willing to replace a burnt up microwave. She said that was not how Samsung warranty works.

I saved for over a year to be able to purchase what I thought was a top of the line refrigerator. When Lowes had this 4 door refrigerator on sale, I jumped at the chance to purchase. The first day the refrigerator was plugged in, the digital board on the ice maker would not work. My son finally got it to work after we unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. About a month later, the same thing happened. I called technical support and they helped me to get the unit going again. Tonight when I got home from work, the ice machine would not work. I call support again and spoke to a gentleman that could not be understood. When I figured out that he could not help, I asked to speak to someone else. I got to speak to the woman from hell. Even though I told her that my refrigerator was new and that I had taken the extended service agreement, she informed me that I would have to pay someone to repair my refrigerator because I needed to be educated on how to use it. Well, I do know that I should not have to unplug my new refrigerator 3 times in 3 months to keep the digital panel from freezing up. Lowes told me not to call the technical support number again but to call them directly because I could not count on Samsung to help me with my problem. I wish I had read the negative reviews before spending over $2000 on a unit that does not work.

Samsung wont help you with anything once out of the 1 year warranty. Nothing but a piece of junk. Just like the other comments these electronics do not stand up. I have a Samsung French Door refrigerator in white and just started noticing what at first looked like food or grime on the front left door at the bottom of the ice maker where it fits into the door. I started cleaning it and couldnt believe it - it was RUST! I have never seen rust on a new refrigerator. I purchased it in Jan 2013 from Pacific Sales. The ice maker drips constantly and the fridge makes a loud buzzing noise sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this same trouble before I call Samsung, and I can see that a lot of customers have the exact same problems as me. Im not sure what to do at this point because I know its out of warranty now. Another possibly dangerous situation - now that the paint is coming off where the rust is, Ive already shocked myself touching where the bare metal is. I wonder, could I (or my kids) get electrocuted if theres a drop of water on the metal when we touch it? Hummmmmm???

I have literally had a broken refrigerator, Samsung 4 door, broken down since July 5th. Today is Sept 12. When it went down, it was 14 months old. Samsung scheduled service for me with a big service company, Appliance Hospital, and after 6 trips to my home never fixed it. Samsung has indicated they would replace it with a new one. That was 2 weeks ago. As of today, No update, no phone call. Ive called Samsung, texted, cannot get an update. 2.5 MONTHS! I use a small beverage fridge and a cooler for produce. I spent $2,800 on that fridge. Unbelievable. Time for an attorney? Media? What am I supposed to do. I just want a refrigerator, that works. I want good service, good communication. $2,800 should have provided that. Samsung you have failed big time.

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

Bought Samsung 28.5 cu. ft. French Door Fridge (spent $2500) in Aug, 2010 from Sears. After 4 1/2 years, it broke (no longer cool in fridge and cold in freezer). Asked Sears repairman to come (inspection costs $85) and said the compressor has to be replaced. Control board may also need to be replaced which costs another few hundreds. Samsung only covers the compressor parts but not labor. Estimated costs for labor is close to $500. It is totally rip-off and the worst experience for buying appliances. We have the Family Hub French door with the screen in front. Paid approx $2300. This thing is a piece of garbage. First, they changed the app with no notification so we lost all the things we had programmed including pictures. The ice maker is HORRIBLE!!! So horrible that I have invested in a portable countertop ice maker. Im not sure whats going on with it, but whenever we call for service, were told we have to defrost it before theyll come. How does that show them the issue? The ice and water spills outside the ice bucket and then freezes together. Every few days, it stops making ice. Thats because its clogged with ice and cant work any longer. I have to take a hair dryer to it to defrost all the stuck frozen water and ice cubes. Today I did it, and I noticed there is a ton of mold under the lip of the mouth where the water and ice comes out to the dispenser. Gross. There is no way to get to the mold. Also, ice gets stuck in the dispenser and melts, so it leaks onto the dispenser on the door. I wish I would have taken a picture of the clumped frozen water before I posted this. Piece of garbage. Do not buy!

I purchased a Samsung Model # RF28HDEDBSER (with French doors and freezer on the bottom) from Lowes about two years ago for about $3,000. After a year the iced maker broke down and we no longer have ice, it also makes a grinding noise. Now about 6 months later the refrigerator is barely cold enough to keep our food cold and the digital feature is malfunctioning and shows that it does not maintain a proper temperature; it keeps shutting off. We are very disappointed in this product, so we were not surprised now to discover many complaints with the same issues.Just filed a complaint on the Samsung website but do not expect them to respond, they said they would respond but kept me waiting in the chat for more than 10 minutes. Please do not buy their refrigerators they are not worth it and the honorable thing would be for them to replace a refrigerator that we expected to function for at least 5 years. Refrigerator temp is not keeping things cold enough - We purchased a refrigerator (rsg257aars) in Dec 2011. From the beginning, I noticed food smells when I opened the refrigerator door. I adjusted the temp all the way to 34 degrees to see if that would help. Finally, I put a digital thermometer in the fridge to see what temp it registered and it was between 42 and 43 . We put two more thermometers to double check and they also read 43. We called for repair and he told me I cant use analog thermometers to check. I asked him to check himself and he only had a laser one and he warned me that it would register 15 or 20 degrees higher. However, he assured me that my refrigerator was working fine.I called Samsung and told them, I need another repairman; do not send me the same person. On 2/28/12, I was speaking with Steve, who told me he was my personal service advocate and he would make sure he sent someone else and he said it was going to work. So while we were having dinner, the repairman rang the bell and lo and behold, it was the exact same person. This time, my husband spoke to him and tried to explain the problem. The repairman could not figure out the problem. Of course I called for a third time and that repairman called Samsung and between the two of them on the speaker phone, they decided it was the sensor. We had to wait a week for the sensor to be delivered and after the sensor was installed, I asked if he had to check if it worked and he said no, it is working and he left. About a half hour later, when I checked the temp, it hadnt improved. I called Steve and left a message and he never called me. Then a woman left her number to verify if the repair work was done and I called her and there hasnt been a callback.Bottom line is, my refrigerator is not working and my next step is to blog or do a YouTube on how poor the service of Samsung is. I called to speak to a supervisor today and they said there wasnt a supervisor available, so they will request a callback. Something has to be done!

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I also noticed that the small black circles that indicate if it is, for example, front right or front left on the range are fading and the black lines around the knobs are fading as well. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. Im afraid that the fading will continue and my range that is less than two years old will look like its 10 years old. Highly disappointed and will probably not buy a Samsung range again.

This is going to be good. So go to the bathroom, grab a drink, sit down and get comfortable. In January last year, I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, a TV along with a washer and dryer. The total of the purchase was close to $6,000. The refrigerator decided it was not going to dispense water at Thanksgiving. We called and scheduled an appointment for service. We were told it was the panel at the front of the fridge. I took a morning off work and waited for three and half hours only for the tech to turn up and look at the fridge and say it is not the panel. It is the circuit board at the back. They would return a couple of weeks later to replace the circuit board. When the tech was at my house, I asked him to look at my Samsung 55 LED TV. I had a red dot in the middle of the screen. I had called Samsung before and they said that was acceptable. I argued the point, that the TV did not look like it in the store! The tech took one look at the TV and said that is not right and to call and get them to fix it. I called again to Samsung and complained again. I was put through to the executive customer relations. They then said they would fix it! Right! We scheduled a service appointment for the refrigerator and the TV. The service company was a mess and could not get anything handled. After multiple calls to them, a tech arrived at the house the Saturday before Christmas. Three hours later, still working on the fridge, the tech reached the conclusion it was not the front panel, not the circuit board in the back, but a bad ground on the fridge. Then he was about to leave and my wife reminded him about the TV. The TV was removed from the wall and he put a new panel in it and left it on the floor. I said I would hang it up when I get home. Little did I know the TV was not tested. I put the TV on the wall, plugged it in and there was a big blue screen. Nothing! I called Samsung technical support, spoke to a very nice man and said he felt my pain and was amazed at what I have already been through as a customer.I called the service company and the owner then called me back and he said there was nothing he could do. I then explained that I know how the job should have been done and reminded him that techs should test their work before leaving! The conversation was just a bit embarrassing for him. I called Samsung again just after Christmas. (The fridge was working fine at this point.) I spoke to executive customer relations and we were promised a new TV. Great problem solved. Number of days went by again with no call to confirm; I finally called and was put through to executive customer relations. They told me that the approval had been denied. I asked why and why did it take me so long to find out why. I asked them to figure out why one person can say yes and the other say no and no reason why! I pushed and told them to call me back in an hour with an answer. They did and then I asked to speak to a supervisor and they could not and I asked if they could email me to confirm what they were going to do. They wanted to repair the TV. I said no due to the fact we have by this point spent hours on the phone with the TV and the fridge and the service company. They transferred me to another department, appliances. That did not make me happy. My wife filed a complaint with the Better Business. We have their attention now, I thought. They looked at the file and yes, they admitted to me their customer service has a few problems. I laughed and told them to be in my position. If I did this at my job, I would be fired. I also got a call from the guy in charge of repairs at Samsung. We had to let them fix the TV. We are done. We have taken enough time waiting, calling and taking time off work. No one could say here is a new TV. My wife and I decided to buy another TV (Sony) to use for temporary measure while we decided to have the TV repaired. By this time, it was the first part of January. The tech turned up, fixed the TV and it worked. I told him the full story and all he could do was shake his head. Even the company he works for was part of the problem. I then got a call from someone at Samsung asking if the TV was fixed and I spoke to a man late in the evening and explained that no customer should be put through the circus of what we have. He agreed on every point I made and was truly embarrassed that this had been such a nightmare.I know I have missed parts out on this like the multiple dropped calls and the fact that we never got a work order receipt for the work carried out by the service company! They did send us a $50 gift card at Best Buy for our troubles. We added up that it has cost us, a couple of days off work not to mention the hours on the phone to no avail. It is not the end. Now, it is the end of January and guess what! Yes, the fridge will not dispense the ice. I called again and asked for executive customer relations. I called on Thursday last week. I explained the previous repair and what a problem it was and they were going to call me within 48 hours. They were meant to call me and yes, that did not happen. I called again on Monday and stated I want a new fridge and to call me back with an answer. Forgot to mention 48 hours! Today, they called my wife and wanted to schedule a service on the fridge. So yet again, more time off work and more time wasted on the phone. Our next step is not going to be good. The senior staff at Samsung need to put down the crayons, stop crying and let go of the sippy cup, wipe their face off and get down to following up with customers. If they had to deal with this mess like I have, they would think a lot differently. Follow up is key.My company is one of the largest car manufactures in the world and it puts the customer first. We aim to make all our customers happy and brand loyalty is a must. Samsung, wake up and deal with customers in the right way. Executive customer relations is a joke. Just call it Piss Poor customer service. From basic telephone skills, dealing with one person, not running the customer around from person to person. Follow up, tech training, the list can go on. I will never buy another Samsung product in my life. Not even if you paid me.

Purchased a 4 piece Samsung Appliance Package. Initially, after 6 months, I gave them a 5 star review. Still, after 4 years, every appliance has performed above my expectations. BUT... buyer beware... DO NOT purchase appliances with the black stainless finish. The finish on my oven door is peeling off... looks hideous. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty, but cosmetic defects are NOT covered. I have to purchase a $317.00 (plus) replacement oven door. Why would a company that makes quality appliances not cover a factory defective finish and ruin their reputation? Very disappointed. Spent hours with customer service to no avail.

We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!

Mother boards failed in 2 year old unit. There was no one to service the unit even though I had the extended warranty. Samsung was unwilling to help and tried to get out of it. The company pushes the extended warranty but then wont honor the warranty. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. They make you feel like you are clueless as to how a unit should work and make you feel like you did something to cause the failure. Having to throw out food because of non-functioning refrigerator is not a good thing. Totally useless piece of electrical garbage. I finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool unit. Samsung makes an impressive looking unit but it doesnt last and the company isnt interested in fixing the problem.

Maybe you should ask about repairs and durability. The piece holding the vegetable drawers in place broke and the whole unit had to be replaced. Then the door handle came off. Even though we had a maintenance agreement, we had To pay for everything. For example, the freezer door handle was considered cosmetic. By the time we got through fixing everything, it cost us about $500. You can tell Samsung for me that they are a company that no longer takes pride in their quality since it’s all about profit. Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. Hello, I dont normally get on this and write reviews but the phone call I just had with Samsung just blew my mind. Weve had our stove for 2 years. I just noticed today that the exterior front of the stove is peeling off. It is extremely unsightly and never seen any other product stove peel like this or had had these kinds of issues. Should this be happening after 2 years? This peeling clearly states (from the outside) that its a cheaply made product. The best part is that I called Samsung to see if there is possibly anything we can do for this and to let them know that this is happening. They had no recourse whatsoever and that there is no warranty to cover such a thing.I kindly explained that now, its a thing and asked if theyd be able at least give me some idea on how to go about fixing this issue and they said, no. Then I said, Well then unfortunately Im going to have to write negative review. Is this what your company wants? and then they gave me a dissertation of why I should do that and where the information goes. With all of this said, wouldnt Samsung rather have a positive review by at least someone saying I called Samsung about my peeling stove and that even though there was no warranty to cover this, they provided me with a few service, or with some resources to help fix this issue.

I bought this French door Samsung refrigerator cause the one that came with the house I bought had died. After looking at both Home Depot, H. H. Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

Dont buy a Samsung Refrigerator!!! Our Samsung has been the worst of worst. Two months after we bought a $3000.00 one the whole electric panel went out. Everything thawed out. They kept playing games about paying for the lost food. They never did reimburse us. Ours broke down 4 times in 2 years. We also had to replace both of the ice makers. One of them 3 times because the water leaks underneath it and freezes the mechanism that turns the ice out. Then when you try to get ice from the dispenser it cracks the ice maker and it has to be replaced. The water also leaks down in the inside of the refrigerator and runs under the storage bins and then on the floor when you open up the fridge. After replacing it 3 times we just dont use it.Samsung does not stand behind their products. Even though our fridge was without doubt a lemon they never replaced it. They play constant games of lost paperwork and unbelievable stalls until you just give up and pay to have it fixed yourself. The problem is they can stall forever but you cant go without a fridge. My daughter bought the same model as ours and she has had a lot of the same problems. They never fixed hers either. Never will I buy a Samsung product again!!!

My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. On February 4, 2017 we visited P.C. Richard and Son and we replaced all of our kitchen appliances with brand new Samsung appliances. In July while I was cleaning the glass cooktop on the range, which we purchased for $800, I noticed it was cracked. The crack appears to have started on the Rapid Boil burner and extended in all four directions to the edges of the top. I immediately contacted Samsung support, fully expecting that the damage would be repaired as the range was under warranty. With just two of us in the home, the range is lightly used and well cared for.The customer service agent asked that I send in pictures which I did that afternoon. I received a call from Samsung support looking for the photographs 3 days later – at that point I was told that the pictures would be reviewed and that they would get back to me. Three days later, I received a call from Williston TV and Radio Repair to arrange a time to come out to look at the stove. I expected that Samsung’s agent would be coming to repair the stove, however, when the representative arrived he took more pictures and told me to expect to hear back from Samsung in a few days.A few days went by and I was contacted by Williston and told that Samsung deemed the damage to be physical and as a result would not be covered under the warranty. I asked what the definition of physical damage entailed, and the definition I was provided was basically everything under the sun – cleaning solutions, inappropriate cookware, abuse, etc. In fact it seems that the definition is setup to protect Samsung even in the event of defect.Still in shock, I started to research to see if others experienced the same issue and I was surprised to find many complaints posted to sites online all had a similar story. I’ve attached some of the complaints along with our receipt to this letter. After finding that other consumers had a similar experience, I contacted Samsung to ask for a second opinion, I was told that would not possible so I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me that he would put in a work order for another opinion.Three days later I received a call back from Williston to setup a repair call – I explained that I was looking for a second opinion and was told by the representative that they were the only local Samsung agent and there would be no second opinions. Exasperated I inquired as to the cost to repair the cooktop thinking that a couple of hundred dollars out of pocket would be worth putting an end to this issue. I was informed that the cost to repair the range would be $400 - which is half the cost of range. Even if I pay for the repair, I have no guarantee that the replacement top would not have the same problem because I am convinced that product is defective. My husband and I have used glass cooktops since the 1980s and have never had a problem. The cookware we use has not changed, how we cook and care for the cooktop including cleaning fluids we use have not changed – and yet within 6 months this cooktop is completely ruined and is unusable and here we are in August and we can only cook using the oven and our microwave. I believe that Samsung has an obligation to stand behind its product and the warranty. I expect Samsung to fix the stove top or replace the range.

Numerous efforts have been made to stop the refrigerator from leaking all over the floor. Parts replaced several time$$$. Samsung has no interest in correcting this. Now, the leaking appears to have been corrected (time will tell). The new problem is failure of temperatures to set/hold for both the freezer and the refrigerator! Refrigerator is at 61 degrees! Should be at 38 degrees! Freezer was at 28 and should be at -2. Perform power reset...no change. Samsung has refused to do anything even though it a clearly known issue - just look at the complaints all over the internet! Nothing has happened (power outages, relocation, ...nothing) to cause these problems.

Ice Maker has malfunctioned since the refrigerator was purchased. Apparently a common problem with Samsung refrigerators that Samsung refuses to correct. Ice maker freezes up and will not produce ice and eventually quits working altogether. I have called Samsung on numerous occasions and their only solution is to take a hair dryer and melt the built-up ice. Now nothing works!

The Grates on my Samsung stove have rubber mounts that hold them in place. Once the grates heat up the rubber mounts fall off, Now it’s dangerous because the grates slide all around. The grates were replaced by Samsung but in a short time the rubber mounts fell out again. Now it’s over year old... it’s a manufacture defect. Rubber and metal don’t work with heat. We can’t use our stove the way it is, Now what??? I would not recommend this stove to anyone.

We purchased our Samsung dishwasher in late 2014. It needed repair within three months when water was not pumping out of the bottom of the unit. The repairman said that it was a common problem... so common that he usually had several of the replacement parts on his truck. This time he didnt so it took two trips so there was a total of almost two weeks without the machine. Since then the dishwasher has been very noisy and I should probably call the repairman again but I figure something else will go wrong sooner or later. We did purchase a Lowes extended warranty. I find that the machine is hard to load. Perhaps I should have taken one of my plates to the store to try it out. It cleans ok... not remarkable but no major complaints especially if I wash things well before I put them in. I am sorry that I bought this item.

Samsung Model DW80J3020UB - I notice several weeks ago that it wasnt drying properly. Couple of nights ago I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed the dishwasher was still running in the heavy cycle which we never use. I tried to stop the dishwasher but couldnt, it kept going back to the heavy wash cycle. Then the door latch broke and dishwasher thinks its in the wash cycle with the door open. I didnt want to go to bed with fear of the dishwasher start in the wash cycle and flood the kitchen. I took the door panel off and cut the wires going to the motor and the motor kept running, got the door to close with motor still running. Got up the next morning motor not running, went to Lowes and bought a Bosch dishwasher. This Samsung dishwasher was bought in Nov 2015. After reading several other reviews I had to add this to warn people not to buy a Samsung dishwasher. PS Lowes does not carry Samsung. Any more wonder why.

Purchased a Samsung counter depth refrigerator ($3,000!) - biggest mistake of my consumer life! One month after a 1 year warranty ice maker stopped making ice. Once I located a Samsung technician scheduling an appointment was a nightmare. They would only guarantee a date but you had to wait until the morning of that day for them to call and tell you a 3 hour window! Insane! Firs appointment couldnt figure out a problem. Scheduled second appointment they never called or showed. Called next day and they made me wait another 8 days for an appointment. Charged me $326 for parts and labor! Absolute rip off. DONT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS! Learn from my very costly mistake.

Unfortunately I didnt learn my lesson and purchased a Samsung over the stove Microwave from Costco.ca 9 months ago and now it has what seems to be a common problem of not wanting to shut off when the timer is done. Its great that Costco has such a good return policy and I will be returning it and buying another brand. I will never buy another Samsung product again! I bought the refrigerator from Lowes 5/5/09. Lowes delivered six units before finding one with properly spaced doors. The first indication that I might have purchased a defective product became evident when the ice maker malfunctioned. There was a weekly ice jam inside the compartment. If it wasnt cleared, the ice was no longer dispensed. When kept empty the ice maker worked, dumping ice into the door with sound that could only be likened to that heard at a bowling alley. It would cause me to jump out of bed during the night.Soon after the jams appeared, I began to find pieces of white plastic in drinks when the ice dispenser was used. Over a year ago I began to see rust coming through the finish around the water/ice dispenser. I notified Samsung early on when the ice maker was jamming up and was told I needed to schedule an appointment for service. Well, forget that! There is no one who services Samsung where I live. Yes, there is a dealer in a nearby town, but they refused to service what they didnt sell!I was fed up with this unsightly appliance and decided to post my problem on Samsung Appliance USA Facebook page. I received the typical Samsung condescending response, You need to schedule a service call. Read my lips Samsung, there is no service. Ill get rid of this one and try another. I dont recommend buying anything from Samsung just because of the attitude regarding SERVICE! They will not stand behind their product. No, this isnt my first time experiencing a problem with Samsung!

Samsung has NOT fulfilled the paperwork to recognize proper return/refusal to XPO thus 18 days later I have yet to receive my refund. Purchased Samsung refrigerator and microwave when we remodeled the kitchen
Purchased Samsung refrigerator and microwave when we remodeled the kitchen in 2010. The microwave died last summer (2013) and we replaced with another brand. Thats another story. THIS story is about the above listed refrigerator. Beginning in Sept. of 2013 we have contacted Samsung customer service 6 times about our fridge leaking water into the (right) vegetable drawer and under the drawers and freezing. 2 problems - the leak and, why is the water freezing when the fridge is set at 38 degrees? Freezing all veggies in the drawer.Service has to come from Cleveland as no company in the Akron area will touch Samsung appliances. That should have been our first clue! The last service call was 3/04/14 and yesterday, 3/08/14, we had more frozen water in and under the veggies drawers.Customer service persons have been very gracious and helpful. The repairmen that have come here have been courteous and have tried to help. But the definition of futility is doing the same thing over and over and over again, expecting different results. We have had the coils on the back wall replaced 3 times and thawed each time and the drain blown and, guess what? Same results. Were very, very tired of this problem. We have thrown out more food thats been ruined by sitting in ice water and its getting expensive. We have told everyone and anyone who will listen NOT to buy Samsung appliances as they are definitely inferior products. Just wish they would replace this defective appliance or compensate us monetarily in order that we can purchase a refrigerator that will work. Any suggestions anyone?

I purchased and installed a Samsung Gas Range (NC58H9950WS) in Spring of 2015. I recently ran (Dec 2017) the oven cleaning feature, and now my display is not working. Ive found many similar reviews stating their displays stopped working after running the cleaning program. The cost to repair this is approximately $1100 to replace both display boards (the range cost me around $2500 new). It would seem that Samsung sold us all a bill of goods by saying this feature is available on their range but in fact using the feature will make other parts of the range break down and require replacement. If youve had a similar experience, write your review!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model RS265TD) from Lowes on 8-1-2012. This purchase has been the most horrible experience of our life. We have had 4 repairs, with a 5th one scheduled, for this horrible noise that sounds like a B52 bomber taking off (just 2 months after purchasing) followed by a defective solenoid supposedly because the repairman could not figure what else it could be because the computer showed no problem even though it would take days for the ice maker to make ice. Then again in November and in January 2013, when the noise continued and the ice maker would shoot ice out 30 feet all on its own followed by not working at all and noise still continuing, another repair. Then again, another horrid noise. We called the company again. They scheduled the service call and when the repairman showed, Samsung said that there were no previous repairs and that it did not warrant any replacement or refund. This past March 2013, they kept their repairman on the phone for 2 hours and we also were on the phone. They kept passing the buck. Lowes isnt any better. They washed their hands of anything after 30 days. I am checking with my lawyer now. No one, and I mean no one, should buy from Samsung. They are horrible and do not stand by their warranty. Run from this and all of their products as fast as you can.

Our $2323.95 Samsung refrigerator (RFG297HD) was purchased less than 3 years ago. We were under the impression (albeit falsely so) that Samsung products were superior in quality, and that this company stood behind the integrity of its products. NOT!!! We have already had to replace the ice maker and the freezer fan assembly. After speaking to three different phone operators (all of which represented a series of going-through-the-proverbial-policy-motions), I finally was put into the ECR department in hopes of speaking to someone, who had not already been thoroughly programmed into the mechanical answers representing Samsung androidism. Suffice it to say, I hit wall, after wall, after wall after Wall. The only so-to-speak courtesy I was offered was to spend some additional money to buy into another year of protection. Really? I am sorry, but when I spend this kind of money for a product, I expect quality performance for a little longer than two years before it start breaking down, leading me to dig into my pocketbook again. Moreover, to spend additional money for extended warranties on products (i.e. Samsung products) highly suggests that Samsung does not want to be held responsible for its own technical errors or designed failures.

Bought a microwave as part of a package at Home Depot. I never write reviews but frustration with the product and service has compelled me to warn others. Bought new in August of 18. The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.

We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! Years back, we bought a Samsung washer, and had an awful experience, but we decided to give them a second try because we have always loved their phones. We bought a beautiful fridge and hoped for the best. It wasnt the case. We just replace our Samsung french door, bottom drawer fridge after 4 years and almost 1 month. Keep in mind, we paid $2,000.00 for this appliance. If you Google this fridge, you will see that every person who has ever owned one has had water leaking and drain line issues. We were no exception. After about 2 years of ownership the fridge began to leak water at the front left hand corner. We called our serviceman and were told this happens with every single one of these. We were instructed to thaw it out with a hairdryer! When that did not solve the issue, we were instructed to completely empty the fridge, defrost it for at least 24 hours, and then turn it back on. Each remedy worked for a time, then same issue would pop up again. We limped it along for two years, with the problem reoccurring more and more frequently. Finally, we had to thaw it about every day, and rather than loose our food, we bought a new fridge. We were told to contact Samsung, and they tried to say that we did not have the properly fridge unleveled (it was professionally installed), and offered to repair it at our cost. To add insult to injury, it damaged my wooden floors, and the edge of an antique cabinet. Please save yourself the grief and do not purchase any fridge from this company.

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!

Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. (Mind you the range belongs to my 86 year old mother and of course with the current healthcare crisis needs a range). The third agent basically reprimanded me for not having the appropriate info on my receipt such as serial number. The Home Depot receipt does not have the serial number on the receipt but it does state the items that were purchased (Samsung Kitchen Package). Now I called HD to obtain a full invoice and of course I will not have for a couple days which may have the potential of falling out of warranty. You can guarantee that I will be calling the Department of Aging to file a complaint especially with the current situation that the US is currently in. One would think that providing the supporting documentation would be enough to schedule a repair. Now an 86 year old is left without a range (especially since she is self-sheltered) for God knows how long. I welcome a call!

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. I am also going to the U.S. gov recall website and post there. I hope everyone else does too. This will force a recall and cost them tons of money, which they should be responsible for.

I recently purchased a home and needed a microwave. My parents have a second home and they were kind enough to give me the 2-year-old Samsung microwave from that home. The microwave was hardly ever used when my parents had it, so apparently daily use was just too much for it. The keypad will not work - at all - not one single button. Ive tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for hours, it doesnt work. The display just flashes Simply Samsung forever. Then, in the middle of the night, it activates the 1 button by itself. Ill wake up and hear it repeatedly dinging and the display says 11:11. This microwave was never exposed to any water or harsh climate conditions. Its just a piece of **. Now that I have to purchase a microwave, I can guarantee it wont be a Samsung.
