My Samsung French Door fridge is less than 6 months old and the ice maker quit working. Best Buy would not do anything as I didnt buy extended warranty. Seeing as I was having company, I foolishly got it fixed. I tried to contact Samsung, even with all my receipts, including one for the purchase, they wont do anything. I am concerned now that I will continue to have issues as all the other reviewers. PASS THIS BY!!! Buy a different brand!!!

We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!

Samsung DW80H9930US Dishwasher. When I bought my dishwasher from Lowes two years ago, this was the Most Expensive one at that moment. After I used it for a while, it stopped working. So, I contacted Samsung and asked for the fix. I paid for it and it fixed. In my second year, one day, when I had the small kid walking around, I suddenly noticed that inside the my dishwasher got the mold so badly. I thought it might be because we used it for a while. After I tried to clean everything including the shelf itself. I thought the clean is done and everything will be good again. However, it seems that the mold is NEVER gone away. We cleaned and cleaned. After we really tired of cleaning the dishwasher, I called the customer service and the Samsung Dishwasher manager, Jack **, told me that that is the Maintenance issue. Then I asked, after I PAY for the maintenance, if the mold will go away. He said he cannot guarantee it because it is always maintenance issues. So basically saying, when we buy a dishwasher from Samsung, we have to ensure that we need to pay Maintenance fee for it or they recommended to open the dishwasher Door after the cycle is done for a hour. I did not know when I bought the dishwasher, I need to wake up at 3 in the morning to open the door for my little doggy in order to let the moisture out. Of course, they never committed that is the design defect of their machine. I am wondering if any of family members who has the dishwasher and has the mold issue should work together to sue the company as the mold is the one of most recognized factors causing Cancer. I bought so many Samsung applications when I bought my very first house but I guess it is the goodbye information to you.

My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.

So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.

We bought this refrigerator when we built our new home back in July 2012. From day one, the ice maker didnt work right. I found myself waiting for ice for what seemed like forever. As time went on, it made less and less ice. Then it stopped making cubed ice and it almost was the consistency of a snow cone. Then another issue with it spitting out a good amount of water before the ice would come out, leaving water on my beautiful new hardwood floors. Not to mention it usually got all over myself as well. One day I noticed that the door was not in the track, allowing the cold air to leak out around the doors. I thought this might be why we were having the ice maker problems. So I gave it another week to see if the issue would resolve itself after fixing the doors. It broke... I dont know what in the world happened, it just stopped working altogether. So I called the company and after telling them I was completely done with this refrigerator and the constant ongoing issues, I wanted it fixed ASAP. The service company they referred me to said they couldnt come out for a week. I find this unacceptable on many levels. So I called Samsung again to tell them about the delay. They informed me that I would be hearing from an executive team member in 24-48 hours. Three days later, I called them because I never got a call. The employee apologized, took note of my complaint and assured me I would hear from someone in another 24-48 hours. Here I am, 3 days later, and I am yet to get a phone call. Like many other of the complaints I read, I too have had to eat out and spend countless dollars. And of course I had just gone to the grocery store the day before it broke completely. I will never buy another product from this company and I definitely would NEVER recommend Samsung to anyone.

We have had nothing but trouble since we bought a Samsung refrigerator. French doors with refrig drawer and bottom freezer. Ice dispenser in door leaks water continuously, ice maker shaves ice no matter what setting you choose (cubed or crushed), freezer drawer does not open all the way without jerking hard on it. We had repairman come several times while it was under warranty and they never got anything fixed? They said that’s just the way they are. Really? Back of refrigerator, behind panel, freezes up all the time and I have to defrost every few months. Drawer that holds the ice freezes shut and can’t open it. This refrigerator sucks. I would NEVER buy another Samsung product ever, EVER again and certainly would not recommend you do either!!!!

Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

DO NOT waste your time and money. Samsung appliances are worst and their customer service is even worst than their service. The dishwasher came faulty from the company and we used for 1 time only and we reported that. They cant fix it so they decided to replace it. However they have unit to sell on website but not to replace (which doesnt make sense at all). So they offered me a refund what I paid and I dont want that as they are selling the same unit 200 more than what I paid and havent used that unit even. Also, they said the warranty start from the date of purchase and not when it got delivered.

NewSamsung Dishwasher Model DW80F600UTS lots of different issues. From Day 1 hasnt worked properly. Steam vent under front of door wasnt shutting off, so water would leak out the front. HEAVY light started blinking, and pump wouldnt turn off, power wouldnt turn off, either. Had to turn off at breaker. Dried out the flood pan and sensor, and saw moisture on the water intake hose coupling, so tightened that. That helped for a week, then it went off again. Seems to be leaking out of tub, not hose. Luckily, still under warranty so service is coming in a few days.SERVICE: Parts take 10 days!! So the repair guy comes, figures out what is wrong, then has to order the part and come again. It can be 2 weeks before you can use your new dishwasher again! When I talk to the service company (that is not Samsung, but certified to do their repairs), they make it sound like they know exactly what the problem is before they come out - leading me to believe they had a lot of this problem!! Never will buy a Samsung appliance again! Wish I had come here first to read the complaints.

This is the WORST appliance I have EVER purchased. Even after requesting maintenance TWICE: - the detergent dispenser STILL door does NOT release the tab, liquid, whatever after about an HOUR of washing (and THATs the SHORT cycle!) - Inefficient! My water bill would gag you if you saw it. - Ergonomically awkward (not enough room to stack in large items or tall glasses) 2 sprinkler wands is a good idea, but only if they leave some room for dishes! - Poorly assembled - watch out! Those wheels pop off frequently! - Silverware holder lids catch regularly on the side panels when trying to roll the bottom tray back inside.- This machine will make you boycott even the SAMSUNG GALAXY - THATS how frustrating and inadequate it is!

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (Im now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

They dont deserve a star at all. I purchased a Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator on 3/29/2010. The price was $1870 + $199.99 for their premium service plan by new and some other small fees. The grand total was $2,266.97. 18 months later, my refrigerator stopped working. I called the service plan center and they sent out a repair person from A&E. The service guy replaced the motherboard and told me that will fix my problems. A few days later, my ice maker was not working. I called the service center and they sent out the repairman from A&E. The repair guy ordered a new ice maker and told me this should fix my problem. Well, that didnt. The service center and I have been going through this cycle for over 3 months and my refrigerator is still broken. My contract states that after 3 calls for the same problem, they will consider it to be a lemon and replace it. I have yet to get my refrigerator fixed or replaced. I purchased my Samsung refrigerator model #RS265TDBP in July 2010 from Best Buy. In early 2012, the computer board display on my refrigerator couldnt be read. It appeared to be working fine, you just couldnt read it and I had no idea what the temperature was. Since it only had a year warranty, the Samsung Certified Repair in my area came out to fix it at a cost of $200.00. Then in July of 2012, my refrigerator stopped getting cold. The freezer was fine, but the fridge stopped. We again called the Samsung certified person that had done the repairs before, but they said they only issued a 30-day warranty on the computer board (which we were told by another tech was the problem). We decided to go with another repair company that gave a 5-year warranty on parts. They came out and said there was a block of ice on the fan motor, which caused it to blow out the circuit board and the computer board. Now to fix it was over $300. Now just two weeks ago, Dec 2012, the exact same thing happened again. The fridge got warm, food spoiled, no fan running and the smell of burnt circuit board. We called the company who did the repairs and had them come out again to inspect. Lo and behold, it is the exact same problem. Since they gave us a 5-year warranty on the part, they are paying for the new parts but we still have to come up with the $140 labor. I contacted Samsung to tell them about the defective unit and see if they could do anything to help as it looks like we are going to have to repair this every 3-4 months or purchase a new one. All they said was its too old and there is nothing they can do. Really? Its less than 3 years old. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator! My refrigerator is a lemon.

Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. Samsung SMH2117S microwave - Samsung refused after various escalations to repair the SE- error code that made the OTR microwave go crazy. The fan initially kept turning itself on and off constantly, then would show the error code and die. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would briefly fix the issue, but then it just croaked for good. Just a few months out of warranty (of course), and now, for purely the principle, would join a CA lawsuit against Samsung despite the unlikely odds of that happening. Like most others here, we are adding Samsung (and Sony) to the list of god-awful businesses from which we will NEVER again purchase.

We purchased our French door refrigerator in 2009. Since the warranty lapsed after the first year, we have had to have it repaired 2 times each time costing close to $300 and are now in need of repairs again! Same problem, the back freezes up and the evaporator fan breaks. It is almost impossible to find a repairman who wants to work on them for two reasons: you cannot get the parts (each time they have to be ordered from Korea) and they take days to thaw out before you can even open them to do the repair! I have been in contact with the company only to be told there wasnt anything they could do. Samsung has a no refund no return policy and after the year they will do nothing unless you purchase their extended warranty. Every repairman has told me they should not even be sold! And to never buy kitchen appliances from Samsung or LG! I called Samsung today, spent over an hour on hold and was told they will not back their product... I am so disappointed in this purchase!

We bought this at HHGregg in June 2015 for $2000. Thought it would be our last refrigerator. No such luck! Nine months after buying it, it started making loud noises and freezing up inside the back wall. For all practical purposes, their customer service is non existent! Got passed from one to the other, asking the same questions over and over, like the model #, serial #, etc. Asked irrelevant things like how many Samsung products we owned. Then said it probably wasnt level and to look under it! Totally insane! Got nowhere so called the store that sold it to us and they finally got in touch with a rep who set up the repair. Thought that was the end of it but three months later, around July 1st this year, the clanging noise returned and it wasnt cooling properly! Same problem with icing and fan. Now it is one month out of warranty! Called previous repair company and they couldnt come for over two weeks! Tried Angies List and Home Advisor. Got call backs but they stated outright that they wouldnt work on Samsung appliances because of shoddy workmanship and numerous problems! Finally got someone to look at it. He tested it and said two motherboards were burnt out, along with needing new fan, thermostats (plural), etc. Said parts come from overseas and could take months and it would be over $1000 to fix, with no guarantee it would last! We cant go without a refrigerator so ended up junking it and buying a new one. Not Samsung! Never again! So for 13 months, we had a pretty appliance that doesnt work! These obviously should have been recalled! Were back to the top freezer model, recommended by the repairman and this time bought a 4 year warranty. Its disgusting that they can sell such junk and are not stopped! It was an expensive $2100 mistake!

I purchased and installed a Samsung Gas Range (NC58H9950WS) in Spring of 2015. I recently ran (Dec 2017) the oven cleaning feature, and now my display is not working. Ive found many similar reviews stating their displays stopped working after running the cleaning program. The cost to repair this is approximately $1100 to replace both display boards (the range cost me around $2500 new). It would seem that Samsung sold us all a bill of goods by saying this feature is available on their range but in fact using the feature will make other parts of the range break down and require replacement. We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

Our Samsung Refrigerator RF267ABWP is 4.5 years old. We paid over $1,800 for it new. The ice maker recently quit working and then the water dispenser line froze up. We had a Samsung authorized repairman come out to fix the problem. Cost $417.00. We found out that actually, the Main Board had failed and it had apparently caused the ice maker and water line problems. We then found out there is a service bulletin issued via Samsung regarding the Main Board that had to be replaced to fix the problems. Samsung is obviously aware of the problem or the service bulletin would not be out there. Called Samsung to discuss this issue to see if they might reimburse us for the cost of the defective Board, since their company is aware of the Board problem. Terrible experience and now I know I will never ever purchase another Samsung product. After talking with multiple representatives, being accidentally hung up on, trying to sell me an extended warranty and absolutely refusing to let me speak to anyone in charge, like a supervisor, Samsung just completely ignored what I was telling them and said since our warranty was over, no offer of resolution for me. Each time I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was told they were busy. Each time I asked if this busy person could please call me back when they got a chance, I was ignored. I could not get anyone at Samsung to listen to what I was saying, or anyone to acknowledge the problem I was presenting to them. I am really Sorry I bought this Samsung refrigerator and advise anyone in the market for a refrigerator to keep looking until they find one of another brand that they like.

Purchased 1.5hp split inverter aircon from Emcor Davao City May 5 2018. Unit worked fine for about 5-6 months then started short cycling. Mystic Electronics Service Center Davao was contacted by customer service to be assumed warranty repair provider. Person came out said Lindsey too short so had to pay P6000 To have that fixed. Unit continued to short cycle. Came out again said outdoor motherboard AND compressor overload were both bad...then outdoor blower motor was bad. They replaced all of those items. I have years of AC experience and told the KID that is not the problem. He leaves unit still short cycling so I finally called Manila again and told them MY diagnosis. After further discussion between themselves they agreed to send same KID out to replace the indoor thermistor. The KID damaged my casings on inside unit. Now unit is acting up again with about 3 weeks remaining on warranty. I told them they need to send someone else out as I had banned Mystic from coming inside the property again since he has really no idea what he is doing and no respect for someone elses property....I.e. Indoor portion of the Samsung a.c. NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AIRCON products....unless youre rich and dont mind just throwing your money out the door. Learned my lesson on Samsung. Never again buy their a.c. products.

Within days of buying this $2000 refrigerator, the paint started chipping. Having worked in metal painting, it obviously was a case of not cleaning the metal properly and the paint would not stick, this is especially on the edges and top of the door. This very simply is a defective manufacturing problem. Called Sears who said it was a Samsung problem, called Samsung who said it was a Sears problem. After about two hours on the telephone and ten calls, Sears sent me a check for $100.00 to get rid of me. I am happy to confirm that both Sears and Samsung have gotten rid of me. FOREVER!!!

In Nov the wife and I bought a new fridge from Warners Stellian... The old one was getting a bit worn. So we settled on a Samsung bottom freezer model that has an internal ice maker and filtered water dispenser. We got it delivered, set up, and running no problem. It took about 3 days of running water through the system to get it tasting like decent water to start with. One week to the day after delivery, the water dispenser stopped working. We called Warner Stellian and they scheduled a tech to come out in just over a week. The tech looked at it, couldnt figure out why the part wasnt working the way it should be, and said hed order a new one. A week later we get a call from them and they told us that the part wasnt in and due to Samsung redesigning the part we would be getting a brand new fridge. I scheduled a tech from both Warner Stellian and Samsung to come look at it. The guy from Samsung was supposed to be here before the other guy so I was happy. The morning the tech was supposed to come out from Samsung, he was going to call me before 9 to tell me what time he would be here. At 9:30 I texted them and told them I hadnt gotten a call. SHe texted me back and said she would reach out to him. Three hours later I still hadnt heard anything, so I texted again. She texted me back and said Oh Im sorry. The tech called in sick today and we didnt find out about it till a short time ago. WTF???? Three weeks later we finally get the new one. Before they left after delivering it I made sure it worked the way it should. One week to the day after getting it delivered and set up, the water dispenser stopped working. Turns out the redesign wasnt actually a redesign. The work-around the company put out wasnt done on this particular model. The tech puts in a stopgap to at least allow the water to work until they can get the right part in. A week and a half later, they get the part and schedule the tech to come out. He replaces the part and its working again. The fridge worked great for about 3 weeks until last Sunday. We noticed the freezer wasnt working right, then realized the fridge wasnt cooling either. So the tech comes out yesterday, and says he cant figure out exactly what it is. EIther the compressor or the main board. So they have ordered both parts. The parts will arrive in 3-5 business days and then who knows how long it will take for the tech to come out and actually replace the part. Carissa and my grandson are here this week, they arrived last Thursday. So now what food I was able to save is down in the garage in boxes or our chest freezer. My warranty has a provision that allows us to claim $250 worth of groceries but that is a drop in the bucket. Its daily trips to the store because we dont want to keep anything for too long. The food we would have replaced isnt yet because I dont have a place to put it. Warners Stellian says the company has to ok a return of the item and they said since its a new fridge, they will fix it. Their customer support tells me Im sorry for your inconvenience, I hope it can be fixed very soon, or My apologies for this experience.

Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. We are going tomorrow to purchase a new range and it WILL NOT BE A SAMSUNG! We will never purchase any Samsung products again.

I would rate this refrigerator higher but ice forms behind the cover in back of the inside of the fridge which then stops the fan and then ice builds up and its all downhill from there. I have lost a lot of food. Samsung, as far as I know, has not addressed this problem. The problem seems simple to fix as the heating element in the back where the water freezes is not adequate. About every 4-5 months I have to remove the inside cover and use a blow dryer to melt the ice.

While baking at 375 degrees and standing in front of the oven I heard a loud pop, and then seen a lot of smoke coming out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. From the smell, it was obviously an electrical fire. The circuit board and connectors burned up. Luckily I was close by and able to unplug the stove. Stove is completely inoperative and is only 6 1/2 years old. I never had any problems until now. I was able to unplug the stove so I do not know if the fire would have continued. Dangerous fire hazard. I wonder what would have happened if I was not home and my granddaughter decided to cook a pizza. Out of approx 40 comments I have read, three of them mentioned the same thing happening to them.

We have had the people who we purchased it from look at it numerous times, and it works for a VERY short amount of time then does it again. It is about 2 years old and we hate it. We just found out it is a very well known problem. You cant use the bottom of our refrigerator for our veggies and fruits freezing. Samsung is no help. Poor engineering and design.

After some deliberation, the answer was no because I was not an authorized repair technician. Had I waited on Samsung to handle this situation with their service, I would have had no expense. Samsung dishwasher dw80f800uws purchased 2/14 stopped working and emitted an error code on 3/25/16. (Note, 2 days before my Easter brunch). Samsung service center called and I went over error code and how that didnt seem to be the problem. I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. I am currently shopping a replacement and wish I never purchased the service warranty. Is this the norm for Samsung across the nation? What poor customer service after the purchase.

My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.

Did anyone ever hear of this happening... I woke yesterday morning early to hear crack pop noises in my kitchen. I was flipping scared thinking we had a mouse. So we proceeded to take the stuff from the cupboards out to check, nothing and I still hear the noise. So Im home alone at this point and decided to get my shoes on and run and prepare for the mouse as I pull out the stove. As I pull out the stove and look behind I see sparks and a little bit of smoke. Its my STOVE SPARKING Not a mouse. The sparks were coming right from the cord. How scary I almost was electrocuted or could have lost my house in a fire. Now my house is built in 2006 so wiring is new. The sparks were coming from the stove not my wall outlet... The stove is the Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws. Was only purchased September 15, 2016. Not even a year old. Its all under warranty but dealing with Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. Long story short they said they will contact me back within 48 hours. Ugh... Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws.

We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.

When they came out the first time they brought the wrong part and they were suppose to replace the brain of the oven. That never happened. We purchased this dishwasher at Lowes in July 2012. Earlier this year it stopped running and gave an 5E code. We looked it up in our manual and it said drain error. We checked everything and could not clear the code. We tried the cancel & drain to no avail. We ended up pulling everything out and scooping all the water out. We had a plumber come over and he checked all the drains/hoses etc. and found nothing. He then called Samsung and told them he thought it was the electrical panel and they would not tell him anything since he was not an authorize Samsung repair person. Unfortunately around this time my mom went into hospice care so hand washing dishes was going to have to suffice. My mother passed away in the summer. By late August I started contacting Samsung to get an authorized service person to come out. What a nightmare. I had to call a couple of times to get someone on the phone who would even help me. They will not give you the local persons number. I was finally given a ticket number and a phone number to call for Service Quick. This was a long distance call for me. They then said they would have a local person call with a quote and set up an appointment. So finally 6 days later I got a voice message. I returned the call now at least 4 times (another long distance number) which nobody answers the phone. It does not say the company name or anything, just a standard automated at the beep please leave a message. In the meantime I went in the phone book and called a local appliance repair person. They took the whole thing apart and told me it looked like the pump was out and possibly the electrical panel and that it looked like the parts would be about $350. That is half of what this thing cost! They suggested I just buy a new dishwasher. That in their experience the Samsung are a lot of trouble and expensive to repair. They were very nice and only charged me for a short service call. I am very frustrated. Every time I talked to a Samsung person I was asked did you purchase the extended warranty?. That is ridiculous! A dishwasher should not need an extended warranty for something not even two years old! It is now September 9th and I Still have not spoken to anyone on the repair side! I dont have money lying around to just literally throw down the drain on new appliances. But I think that is what is going to happen. I will Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

Purchased a Samsung Gas Range from Home Depot on June 28, 2015. We had the range approximately 6 weeks and the oven in the range wouldnt heat above 150 degrees. We contacted Samsung and asked for a repair. Service technician came out and replaced the circuit board with what I believe was a refurbished board. Not long after this repair we contacted Home Depot and Samsung to let them know that the oven was still not heating correctly. The oven was not reaching the selected cooking temperature. We told Home Depot and the Samsung Customer service we wanted the oven replaced. Home Depot said we had to deal with Samsung. A service technician from Samsung came out again and told us that the oven is calibrated to reach the temperature that we select. In other words, we had to set the oven temp. to 375 for it to heat to 350?We again complained to Home Depot and Samsung and nothing was done to replace the oven, the oven purchased was an $800 oven. Now the oven will not heat past 150 degrees again. We contacted Samsung and they want us to pay for the repair. I explained that the oven never worked as it should from the beginning. Samsung said, Your warranty is up. I said the oven failed on warranty and never worked correctly from day one. We are experiencing the same problem over and over with the oven. I have contacted Samsung at least 4 times and I am getting a run-around. The case Number/Ref Number is **. It is obvious that the oven was a lemon and should have been replaced. If this oven has failed and never worked correctly this problem will continue. This oven should have been replaced. I have contacted Samsung and they will not offer any assistance. The stove is an inferior product. I wish I would have read the reviews for Samsung Gas Ranges. I would not have purchased.

As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

After paying $45.95 for a replacement that I was told would be metal, was the same cheap plastic. Then trying to attach the new handle, you have to pry off the molding to get to the screws.

I purchased a Samsung kitchen package in November of 2018. After being lied to about the availability, I finally received my products. The refrigerator, model RF263TEAESG, is useless. You can only put a single gallon container in this model. We are a household of 2 people and there is no storage ability. I would be in big trouble if I didnt have my 20 year old garage fridge to use also. If you use the door to store items be warned when the shelf breaks at 14 months, Samsung wont do ANYTHING to help you. Its considered cosmetic! $100 to get a new one. I will never buy anything with a Samsung label ever again. Samsung customer service would do nothing, not even an apology for the inconvenience.

I have a warranty, but from what Ive heard, it isnt much good. What do I have to do ship it back to Japan. Not a good investment. I love the refrigerator, but dont like the ice maker. We finally decided to dump the ice into a bag and put it in the freezer compartment. Never know when its going to happen. It just does!!! Disappointed in Samsung.

We bought our Samsung fridge in Dec 2014. In June 2018 we called Samsung 6 times because our ice maker stopped working. Nobody would call us to schedule an appt to come and fix it. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I will be buying a Whirlpool again this weekend. Never again Samsung! They need to stick to making cell phones because they suck at making appliances, and their customer service stinks and reputation sucks!

We just remolded our house. We had beautiful hardwood floors installed throughout the house including the kitchen. We bought new appliances, a Samsung package including the Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher. All of the appliances are junk. The biggest kicker is that our new 6 month old refrigerator flooded our entire house. The hardwood kitchen floors are ruined and the basement is soaked in water. I was told, not to buy Samsung and I did anyway. What a mistake that was. 1000s of dollars of repair to do. Already the stress of the drying machines to suck up the water is maddening. DO NOT EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. YOU WILL REGRET IT. They deserve to be sued!

After only four years, the evaporator went out with this horrendous noise. Had tough time finding a Samsung repairman in my area. When I called their support line I was told to trouble shoot. In no way was this a trouble shooting matter. I was finally put in touch with a repairman who would actually work on the thing. The evaporator was changed out. The next week, the fan in the new evaporator went out. A whole new evaporator was ordered and put in. This took approximately three weeks. After another two weeks, the refrigerator was not cooling. The repairman came back and said that the unit was working, but the water line froze up. It was defrosted and the unit worked for about 2 weeks and the thing started heating up again. The temperature read 57 degrees. So, I was out a refrigerator for a total of 2 months, not counting the amount of food lost. I am joining a class action suit and getting rid of this piece of crap. Will NEVER recommend anything Samsung to anyone.

The oven temperature climbs and lowers all during the baking process. Totally inconsistent. Horrible for baking cakes! I bought a portable oven thermometer to monitor it. I can set the oven for 350 and the actual temp in the oven will be 375 one minute and 325 a few minutes later. There is also a 25 degree temperature variance from front to back and side to side in the oven. Forget cooking more than one item at the same temperature. When you buy such a big oven you plan on being able to utilize the space by cooking more than one item, but beware, they will be cooking at different temperatures. The top low burner is not low at all. It boils everything. The long middle high burner is okay on one end and way too crazy hot on the other end with flames so tall they lap over my skillet. The Samsung name on the top front/center of the stove is stickers. Each letter gradually slides off from the heat of the stove.

I have owned a Samsung side by side refrigerator (model rsg257aars) for about three years. About one month ago, I started noticing that water was coming out of the water dispenser in significant volume intermittently. The amount of water has been enough to flood my kitchen floor on multiple occasions. I know the water is coming from the dispenser as I placed a solo cup under the dispenser which has been filled each time after a flood. I have also seen the process start myself. The flow only stops when I push the water dispensing pad much like if I was filling a cup of water. I have called three different repairmen including the Samsung authorized repair personnel who have not been able to fix the problem. I have paid more than $400 at this point. In reading lots of these Samsung issues, I suspect that part of the problems is due to the electrical boards being defective causing a multitude of the matters noted in this forum.

We purchased a Samsung Gas range in 2014. The stove cooks perfectly and we are overall very pleased with it. However whenever we do a self clean following the manual instructions to a ‘T’, the bottom ignitor fails afterwards and I can no longer bake or roast. This has happened three times and we have had to replace the bottom igniter 3 times. Fortunately we have a gas technician friend who can replace the igniter for us. It’s costs us $80 a pop but would have cost $300 each time if we’d paid for a Samsung technician. I have sent an email with product serial number, etc. and photo of burnt out igniter and had an instant reply from customer service asking for more information. The strange thing is, when I try and reply to the email or try to send another email to Samsung, the emails are immediately blocked. I ended up doing an online chat with a service technician who informed me I had to pay a $5 refundable charge with all my credit card information in order to receive a reply (answering questions they had asked me for!!!). Total run around and obviously a deliberate action by Samsung in order to avoid dealing with a known fault with this particular gas range. One disgusted Customer.

The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. Please research carefully Samsungs refrigerator before you buy. The french model that we got has ice under the drawer and behind the back panel (a year after we bought the fridge). Samsung said it is not a common problem but research the internet and found many Samsung fridge has the same issues. Basically you need to open the back panel and add some sort of heating wire to make sure the little drain hole behind the back panel doesnt clog. We choose to unplug our fridge every 2 weeks and the hassle to remove all our food to our small fridge and freezer until we have money to replace this nice looking and useless fridge. I am responding to a 12/28/2013 customers input and what he did to service his Samsung Dishwasher. I found his input very useful info as it gave me the confidence to pursue tackling the problem myself. I found the rubber check valve that he mentioned. I did not notice that it was stuck open, but I am assuming it might have been. On my model, DMT800RHS, the valve looks to be removable and replaceable. I did not try to remove it, but I did try to clean the surface with my finger. I also took the opportunity to clean my dishwasher parts thoroughly. There are several areas that trap food particles and eventually the food rots and smells. I will make that regular task from now on as eating food cleaned from an unclean device is as bad as taking a shower in a moldy shower stall... maybe worse. I hope this helps other people out there dealing with this problem.

We purchased our Samsung mini split air conditioner not even 3 years ago. The first summer it was in they had to replace the communication wire so the inside unit would work. The second summer it had a leaky valve so they had to recharge it and we havent even started our third summer and the fan motor inside the head needed to be replaced. They ordered the new motor and installed it, now both circuit boards are fried. Samsung is not willing to stand behind the product and said it isnt their product, was made by someone else, even though their name is on it and passed the buck onto a third party. Said we need to schedule an onsite visit for the unit to be looked at. Samsung informed us this would take 2-3 weeks to be arranged. Considering all the issues we have had since day 1, this is not very acceptable customer service. I would not recommend this or any other Samsung items to people based on this interaction with them!

My 92 year old mother replaced her subzero refrigerator after 33 years with a Samsung French door counter depth on 12/26/17. On 4/1/18 the refrigerator totally quit cooling. I contact Samsung warranty 4/2 and went through all the motions to reset factory settings and was told they would contact me the next day to be sure that it was operating correctly. It was at 77 degrees. I was then told that a service tech would contact us within 24-48 hours. According to the first tech that arrived on 4/4 the compressor was locked down and that he did not have the parts to repair and they would need to be ordered. I was told someone would be back in touch in 24-48 hours. The 2nd service tech that was sent 4/9 stated that it should be replaced or refunded and gave me a new ticket # and copy of the recommendation that he sent to Samsung. I began calling Samsung on 4/10 and was told they had the information and that it would be 3-5 days before a resolution was determined. I have been calling Samsung every other business day and each time was told they had to follow POLICY and PROCEDURES!!! I continuously reminded them that my mother was 92 and living out of an ice chest. They would apologize and I would say dont apologize if you are not doing anything to correct the problem. It then went to a different department to be approved and it became 5-7 days. It continued to go to different departments and the days would increase with each change. It became 7-11 days then 11-14 days. On Friday MAY 4, 2018 I sent pictures of the refrigerator with the power cord cut and the serial sticker removed along with banking information for a refund. The e-mail I received back was that we should receive funds in 7-14 days. I will not purchase anything else from Samsung. They are not customer friendly, the refrigerator was a piece of junk and their policy and procedures are totally ridiculous!! NO COMPASSION for anyone not even a 92 year old woman.

Second time I have had a problem with the microwave. Fan runs non-stop and will not heat anything. Samsung will not do anything. They only offered a protection plan that costs more than the microwave did new. I purchased an entire suite of Samsung appliances when I moved into my new home. Have had problems with all four of them. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I work in a Day Spa that has over 300 clients through it in a week and I will make sure everyone knows about the issues I have had with Samsung products. I have a daughter that is an Interior Designer and she will never recommend the products again. My other daughter is a Realtor and she will be informing all her clients of my problems. My new mission in life is to make sure everyone know what poor quality Samsung has in service and products. If you read this PLEASE do not make my mistake. I took the extended warranty on the big four door fridge. The ice maker freezes up every two months even with biweekly cleaning. Takes the company at least three (3) weeks to get here to repair it. The only answer is to not buy this product. Friends dont let friends buy Samsung. Dont buy Samsung!!!

I purchased. Samsung refrigerator in 2017, and had to have it repaired three times, finally gutting all cooling apparatus and replacing it to make it work. Even so, I purchased a Samsung range in 2018 on the advice of my local repairman. This stove was two weeks old when the black stainless steel coating began to peel away from the door of the stove after being cared for as the directions indicated: soft cloth and water. Home Depot and Samsung claim that this is not a mechanical issue and therefore not covered in any way. Then, a few months later, in November 2018, the cooking grates began to shed flakes of coating, right near my food, and rising was occurring and visible. They replaced them after a few months (March, 2019) more and several calls. My one year warranty was up in May 2019, the new cooking grates began peeling and flaking again in August. After much talking and being patient but firm, they have agreed to send me new grates, but why bother? They will peel again in a few months! I am so frustrated, how is this company allowed to make substandard appliances that are a danger to people and not even held accountable? I am really concerned about this flaking coating so near my food. I really want this stove out of my kitchen!
