On March 26, 2010 I purchased a Samsung white refrigerator (MODEL # RSG257AAWP) which I just loved the look. Unfortunately there are problems with this refrigerator. 1. There was a problem with the ice maker in the first year. PACIFIC SALES replaced the ice maker as they knew it was defective. 2. Now the side door rack keeps falling off???? So I cant use it. 3. The front door is rusting and spreading down the whole door??????? That is a major problem. And ugly too. PACIFIC SALES is out of the picture. They told me I have to contact SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG needs to be responsible for their defective product. One UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.

I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

Purchased a Samsung 800 series dishwasher from a local outlet store. It started smelling (like rotten decomposing food) within a month of purchase. We have tried vinegar and other odor control pods to get rid of the smell to no avail. When the door is open, we can wipe a paper towel along the interior edge and come up with a grey stinky slime. After cleaning and disinfecting, both the smell and slime return within two loads. Very frustrating. Regret getting rid of our old white 1990s model for this pretty, stinky stainless steel upgrade.

I have a fridge of 1.5 years and just after first year was defective ice maker and now just after 1.5 years, compressor is blown. Compressor is under warranty for 5 years, but after 15 days, Samsung has still not replaced the compressor or the fridge. Every time I call (and spend 1-2 hours waiting for case management), they pretend theyve never spoken to me - even though they ordered the dispatcher that diagnosed the issue! This is so fraudulent and unacceptable. I bought the fridge at Lowes and they should be ashamed to allow this type of dishonest activity to happen. I have spent so much in restaurant bills and spoiled food, I could have bought a Viking fridge. NEVER, NEVER, EVER BUY SAMSUNG. By the way...my Samsung washer/dryer? Also had issues the first year.

We didnt get an SE error but 4 of my major button stopped working, (the power level, clock, kitchen timer, and the 0) buttons wont push in. Samsungs CS was awful, made me feel like I was to blame. We were 2 days off our warranty and had to pay for service. I wouldnt have paid $400 for a disposable microwave. $50 at Walmart and the thing will last forever. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES AGAIN. Now the $2,400 refrigerator we got as well constantly thaws my freezer and refrigerator gets warm, so aggravated. I couldve bought American and would last me longer than a year!!!!

We bought a Samsung stove - Model #NX58H5600SS and a microwave model #ME18H704SFS in May 2015. The stove overnight started beeping and now showing an error code SE. The Microwave has been making a weird buzzing sound for over a year (seems like something is broken inside). After the stove issue we decided to call Samsung and they basically told us our warranty for the stove is for one year and microwave if it’s magnetic issue then the warranty is for 10 years but you have to pay for labor in order to fix the issue. However, we have no idea what the issue is. I can’t believe that after having these items for less than 3 years we already have issues. I’m very disappointed that we purchased these products and would tell anyone not to buy it since they are crap products! Before remodeling our kitchen we had a stove that lasted years not just for three years. Ridiculous!!!! So now I have to get a service person to come and fix it. Stop selling crap products.

On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot in April. I had to wait about a month and a half to even receive it. When it finally did arrive, it arrived with a broken piece in one of the main water dispensers, so its impossible to use it. The very next day I called to make a replacement. I was told someone was going to call me within 48-72 hours while they processed the issue. I never got a call. So I kept calling back once or twice a week, and each time I voiced my problem, and that I had already called, and that I was waiting for a replacement. Every time it was a different representative, so I had to explain myself every single time. I let them know that I just want it replaced. They tell me I understand your frustration, Im trying to help you resolve this issue but its a lie, nothing gets done. Im now on week six of trying to STILL replace my brand new broken dishwasher.

After a year, this dishwasher has stopped working. Customer service informed me that it was out of warranty and offered no real troubleshooting help. I was told to unplug the machine for one minute to see if the dishwasher would reset. No it did not. My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I strongly advise the reader to not purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

DW80f600uts - This dishwasher is a piece of crap. After a year or so of normal use, youll probably get a sensor error and itll stop working. To fix it, youll need to replace the sensor. Samsung customer service will be of little help, so youll have to do it yourself. The replacement sensor costs $40-$100, depending on where you live and who you buy it from. YouTube is filled with videos of how to fix this dishwasher, if thats any indication of how flaky it is. It looks nice, and its quiet. Those are the only good things I can say about it. The cleaning power sucks, and it deposits food on dishes. The drying cycle is a joke, as is the garburator or whatever the thing is called thats supposed to break down food (it doesnt). The dishwasher stinks after a day. There are many, many other dishwashers at the same cost that are much, much better than this one. Ours came with our house and its only two years old, so we fixed it instead of dumping it at the side of the road, which was what we really wanted to do. If/when it breaks again, were getting a Whirlpool. Save yourself the stress and avoid the hassle.

Eight to ten months ago, I noticed the SE error on my Samsung over the stove microwave. I tried all the advice I found online but nothing worked. I called Samsung to find out what I could do about having it repaired but the microwave was about 18 months old and out of warranty. Blast! The microwave was only 18 months old and now I have to buy a new one. I gave it one more shot and called Samsung again. This time, I spoke to a very nice young gentleman and he came back with, Samsung does extend the warranty for one time repairs, and said he could help me. So he took care of scheduling a repair and after 3 tries of installing a new computer in the microwave, the last one finally worked. So here I am again, just 8 months later back in the same position with no microwave and no Ace in the Hole! Well Im going to give it a shot again and see if maybe my luck will hold out. Life without a microwave is no fun! I will keep you informed.

We have had our Samsung refrigerator (RF263EAWP) for about 2 years and its already starting with the pooling problem underneath the deli tray as many have reported (e.g. Lisa of Elkton, MD on Oct. 18, 2013). I can see by the other reviews this is just the beginning. As she said I checked (some of) the reviews - although not here. Many said it was a good product. The construction is cheap at best. I am also upset because it does seem that no one knows where this problem is originating. The user manual and online sites were no help. I guess were stuck with - at least - keeping towels in our unit to keep it from flooding. Im glad we did not get the water dispenser; it would have been more headaches!

Samsung has created a line of refrigerators that are defective and wont create a permanent fix for them. When I called to speak with a service tech they sub out to technicians local to consumers who dont work for Samsung but contract with them to repair their defective appliances. So, they couldnt offer me any guidance or reassurance the problem would be fixed. They told me not to go anywhere for two days because they would put in my service request. Apparently, their service company dropped the ball, never called so when I called on the second day, they said they had called me? They said to come out was 90.00, the repair was 100.00 and the parts were separate but they couldnt tell me what that would cost. I asked if this patch (repair) would permanently fix the problem, and they said they put a 90-day warranty on it and that is the best they can offer and they wouldnt allow me to speak to a service technician to have my questions answered.

I also bought a Samsung dishwasher about 2 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher again. And I wouldnt buy another Samsung appliance either because of it. The issue I am having is with the lower arm. It keeps popping out from the tube it sits in. Every time I have make sure its in but 9 times out of ten its out when its finished. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I also have the same issue with the black gunk that builds up at the bottom of the door. I clean it quite often. Its GROSS! If you have a Samsung dishwasher run a paper towel along the inside of the bottom of the door. See what you get!

Purchased a Samsung over the stove microwave in July 2011. Did not get the extended warranty. After about 8 months the door was broken. We called and Samsung had it fixed with no charge to us as it was under warranty. Two weeks ago, the microwave beeped and showed an SE code. Nothing works. It is completely dead. I have spent MANY hours trying to get this problem resolved. I have searched online and it seems as many others have had this same problem. I finally was able to contact someone at Samsung who told me they knew about the problem and they were fixing them even though they were out of warranty. I was given a reference number and told to call another number. When I called that number, I was told it would not be fixed for free as it was not my model number that they were having the problem with. After thinking about it for a few days and reading more online, I found that there are lots of people with this problem and it involves several different model numbers, including mine. I called Samsung again and was on the phone over an hour trying to get them to fix this for me. They kept telling me since I didnt buy the extended warranty they would not help me. Now I understand about the warranty. I never buy the extended warranty because I expect a product to be made well and last a reasonable amount of time. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I feel that when it is a problem so many people are having and there are different model numbers involved they should have a recall on them and fix them!! The outcome of my last call with Samsung is they would pay for the part which is $35.00 and we pay the service call, $85.00 or more. Sorry this is still not acceptable to me. If you make an over the stove microwave then I guess it should be made to USE over the stove without breaking within 2 years. We paid $399.00 for this microwave which isnt cheap and should last longer! PLEASE let me know if you can help or where else I can turn. I really dont have the money to replace this microwave and dont feel I am being unreasonable thinking they should make good on their product. Thank you in advance for your help.

All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.

I really like this fridge because of the price point. Although I do have a couple of issues. First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. Thirdly I wish there was a way to either turn off the door open alarm or adjust the time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as a good starter fridge.

We were in immediate need of a new refrigerator when we moved into our new home back in 2015. I regret not reading reviews, but I assumed that Samsung was a reputable company, and weve been pleased with our Samsung televisions (we have 6) so I purchased this $3000 refrigerator based on how it looked. The icemaker was problematic from the beginning. At first it just took a long time for ice to dispense and cubed ice never really came out cubed. Then I started noticing ice build-up underneath the crisper drawers. Then the icemaker stopped working because it froze up.I called Samsung and they asked if I had an extended warranty. Basically, they did not offer any remedies although they acknowledged that this is a known problem. So repair would be at my cost although this is a manufacturer defect. We planned to replace all our appliances with Samsung units, but I will never purchase another Samsung appliance because they obviously do not stand behind their products. Im very disappointed.

We purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator Model RF267ABRS in May of 2009. We bought an extended warranty from Lowes at the time of purchase which was a good thing!! Within 6 months we started having problems with ice forming underneath the deli drawer and out of the holes in the inside, back of refrigerator. We called the warranty company and they sent out a technician within 2 days. He informed us that this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators as the drainage tube in the rear of the refrigerator is too small and ices up. He advised us to defrost the refrigerator and he would return IN 4 DAYS, once it was totally defrosted and run a line through the tube to check for blockages. He advised me to call Samsung regarding this problem. I did call and the service rep told me they had NEVER had this problem with their refrigerators before and refused to do anything about it. I told her it was all over the reviews and she told me they dont read them. (HA-HA)!!! I requested to speak with a Supervisor and was told the same thing. Since that time, I have called them a total of 6 times with no resolution other than being told to DEFROST when this happens!!! I thought I was buying a FROST-FREE REFRIGERATOR but Samsung seems to think otherwise, taking no responsibility for their product. Six months later, the same thing happened. This time before the warranty company would not send anyone out until the refrigerator was DEFROSTED FOR 4 DAYS. He came out and again ran a line through the tube and left. Since then, this piece of junk freezes up every 4 months and has to be totally defrosted for 4 days to de-ice it. I will never buy anything from Samsung again as they do not stand behind their products. To have paid the amount of $$$ on this and have them completely ignore the problem is poor business practice and tells a lot about the company and how it is run. NEVER AGAIN!

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator (Side By Side # RS267TDRS) in July 2012. It has been serviced 7 times since then for the same issue. The refrigerator continues to have ice build up and fails about every 6 to 8 months. I purchased at Sears and got the service contract. What a mistake. Samsung refused to back up anything. I own multiple Samsung appliances ranging from the Refrigerator to TVs to DVRs. They have lost me as a customer. I would never buy another of their products. I have called their Customer Service and get the same lame excuse: You are out of warranty. Well I wouldnt be out of warranty if it hadnt been fixed by Sears under the service contract the first time. I have spent over $700.00 on a $1600.00 refrigerator in the first for years of ownership. What a sad, pathetic company.

Went with Samsung given what we thought was a strong brand name, and the fact that the microwave had a sleek contemporary look. After just over a year the vent fan or light will spontaneously kick on. At the same time, the touchpad controls will not respond. We have to wash and basically polish the control panel - which runs along the bottom of the door, in order to regain control of the unit. And just for the record, the door can be spotlessly clean and it will still happen. And as the last couple of months have shown, the incidents are increasing in frequency. Also, if there is any time remaining after use (and no one clears the settings), the microwave will sporadically start to run. Imagine being in bed and having your microwave turn on - or the fan burst on. After reading other reviews I do not feel encouraged to call Samsung and unfortunately I will seek replacement with another manufacturer.

The shelves in our fridge keeps breaking. Third one is now cracked. There is nothing out the ordinary on the shelves. Samsung is turning a deaf ear to us even though they know it is a widespread problem. They are backed ordered on shelves over a month. Hmm, back ordered that long and there’s no problem? Samsung needs to step up and take care of this before there’s a class action against them.

After 13 months and 1 month after the warranty expired. I called Samsung Appliances and reported that I had a software glitch. After the unit finishes a cooking cycle the LED Panel clears itself out, wipes out the memory settings including the clock and takes 5 to 10 retries to reset it. I purchased this at Sears along with other Samsung products including a top of the line SS side by side Fridge etc. This microwave is a top of the line over the stove SS model #ME21F707MJT/AC manufactured date March 2016. Samsung position is too bad. Out of warranty you pay for our bad software design and motherboard. They will not confirm if this is an isolated or general issue with this machine. Stay away from Samsung. They dont care. From this day forward I will never purchase another Samsung Appliance including the Galaxy Phone. My S7 which is ready to be replaced, also my pending purchase of a 4K OHLED large panel TV will not include Samsung. Going back to SONY. They are a bunch of ** and Issac the telephone rep apologized for my problems but that is all he can do. Youre on your own. I strongly stay away from Samsung. My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completel
My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completely turns off (front display, interior lights - both sides, and compressors) when outside temps start to warm up. This happened 1 time approx. after a year of ownership, already out of warranty by that point by the way. During the cool months it never shuts off. Again a little more frequently the following year. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. Pay for all of this and pray it fixes problem. The ice maker has never been sufficient during the months when you need ice the most, this has been a constant complaint on many forums. Totally dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase a Samsung product.

I have been a Samsung fan for a long time. For the first time ever we experienced an issue where Samsung was not able to provide us with a reasonable solution. We purchased a Samsung Oven Range in early November 2019. One of our oven knobs broke off in our hand two weeks after the warranty expired. Samsung requires close to $100 for a replacement knob. When I pulled off the other 4 knobs on our oven range I noticed that the neck of one other knob was also cracking. The knob necks are made of plastic. I read reviews on various community chat groups and apparently, there are many Samsung customers who experienced the same problem. If I were to buy all 5 of the Samsung replacement knobs it would literally cost me as much as I paid for the entire oven range new. If Samsung is interested, I found online a very simple inexpensive fix for broken knob necks, which can also be used to prevent future breakage of unbroken knobs. Will be glad to share.

I bought a Samsung fridge, three times I have had Telefix technicians out to look at fridge as it on 3 times it has had water under the crisper. First time the back panel gets changed. Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

Samsung wont help you with anything once out of the 1 year warranty. Nothing but a piece of junk. Just like the other comments these electronics do not stand up. These units should be priced out at $100 rather than $1000. There should be a class action suit placed on this manufacturer for selling poor quality products.

Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, My office will call you on Monday (9 days after the report to Samsung). On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.

The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

Repair dude comes out, defrosts, mumbles something about airleak, put caulk in. Ice maker still freezes up. Notice that ice is coming out of back panel. Force defrost - nope. Repair dude again - removes all shelves and pulls back panel - block of ice. Informs me that this model has icing up issues. Multiple ice maker freezes ups and rear panel freeze up over the following year. Finally had enough and ordered LG which is awesome. The most sad part is Home Depot charged me $25.00 to make this defective junkbox away.

Electric Range was purchased at Lowes on 10/05/2012. It has always been properly maintained and kept clean. We are seniors and actually do not cook a lot. We noticed when baking items were not cooking properly. We checked to the temperature of the oven. It would heat up to the set temperature and then drop down about 150 degrees. It should say the set temperature but registered lower. We called a very reputable appliance repair company. He diagnosed the lower heating element was bad. Once he got into the area of the element he gasped... He said in 43 years he has never seen an element fuse to the metal sheet. He determined it was not repairable and could possibly be a fire hazard. We purchased a Samsung Washer (repaired 3x) a gas dryer (4x), Dish washer (5x) and now an electric range that is not repairable. Should an electric range last more than 6 1/2 years? Needless to say we went out last night and purchased a new range. It was not a Samsung.

I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H
I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H704SFS/AC. I wish I would google Samsung microwaves before buying one. I just read report from people who bought microwave in February 2016. I bought mine on May 2, 2016 from Best buy in Vancouver Canada. I also bought 5 years warranty on this microwave. On 28th day after purchasing we tried to warm up bowl of soup (in microwavable dish), and we felt a burning smell coming from microwave. When I opened the door I discovered a fire on the right wall of microwave. I was able to stop the fire with kitchen towel. I cannot operate this microwave any longer because it is a fire hazard in my house.Same day I called to SAMSUNG customer service. They gave a case number and told me that somebody will contact me. Next day I called them again and they transferred me to some kind escalation department. The manager from escalation department said that if he will get pictures and receipt from me now, he will speed up the process. I emailed him pics and have not heard anything after that. On Monday, I called again to customer service. The manager told me that she could not find me in her database, she also said that they were not able to open up my pictures. I told her to transfer me to the escalation department. After 30 min wait I was able to talk to a guy who confirmed receiving pictures. He also was able to open them up. He told me that he sent my case to the Head office. I asked him why nobody sent me a simple email with acknowledgement of receiving my email. He did not have any answer for me. I asked him what is the reasonable time to get an answer from Head office. At the beginning he said 48 hours and then he did not know. He also said that he has no idea what kind outcome I should expect. And just to add to this story... I called to the insurance provider for Best Buy. They told me that they cannot touch my microwave because it is a factory defect which appeared in first 30 days. I am not even upset anymore. This company is a joke. Samsung really needs to get a lesson for producing dangerous and unreliable appliances and treating consumers so poorly. I will wait for 48 hours (legally you have to give them some time to rectify the situation). If Samsung will not replace their lousy microwave I will take this matter to Small Claim Court and I really want to.

Just under 3 years ago I purchased an electric range for my elderly parents. The broiler heating element literally exploded in my 79 year old mothers face when she had the oven door open. After much research we discovered Samsung no longer manufactures the part needed to repair the unit. Before Samsung customer service would even discuss how to make this right they required us to have their preferred repair technician come out for a service call - at a $90 fee. We are still waiting to see how Samsung will compensate us but regardless we had to go purchase a new range so my parents can cook. Another bad thing is my entire kitchen has Samsung appliances and almost the identical range that uses the same broiler element. My kitchen is a ticking time bomb. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Discontinuing parts is terrible customer service.

I bought model RF217ACPN./XAA (freezer drawer on bottom, french door refrig on top) and it died in less than a year.... Drawers filled with water and starts making this horrible sound non-stop. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! Appalled by the way Samsung and Lowe’s have treated me. My brand-new Samsung electric range did not work properly from day one! After multiple calls speaking with agents who attempted to have ME fix the issues while they were on the phone, Samsung reluctantly sent a service repairman to my home. C & E Appliances sent someone who admitted they knew Nothing, about cooking. The first thing he did was blame me for buying a stove which offered the rapid boiling option! Secondly, he snidely stated, I bet you never read the manual to your stove. Both statements were untrue! I bought this stove as part of an appliance package. I purchased them for various reasons, but NOT one included rapid boiling. I have read the manual many, many times and worked with Samsung employees to fix the issues. The repairman explained that other people were having similar issues with baking; especially bread and cakes. He stated he didnt know anything about baking. He also told me he didnt know anything about simmering! According to the stove’s manual simmering occurs when your knob is placed on Low. (See pg. 35) My stove will not simmer, and my oven does not bake evenly. Since the repairman did not know why I needed to simmer I explained a few things about some of my favorite recipes. Most of them require simmering at a specific temperature. “Simmering cooks the food gently and slowly, allowing it to maintain its structure in ways that are impossible with boiling.”C & E’s repairman advised me to preheat my oven for an extra 15 minutes prior to baking. He also said I should bring my rice to a boil on one burner, transfer the pot to another burner and turn the knob below the Low setting to simmer. I have lots of photos to prove his advice did NOT work. Samsung drew my complaints out with self-help fixes which did not work. Soon after the first serviceman left Samsungs 1-year warranty expired. Based on the recommendation of Lowes salesperson, I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty, which turned out to be worthless. Lowes sent me the exact same man to look at my stove! The warranty clearly states if Lowe’s or Samsung can’t fix it they will replace it. I have taken this matter as far as any of your companies’ phone systems will allow. Promises from those claiming to be corporate managers have been broken.A 2nd repairman came out to investigate. He checked the brand-new pots I had purchased for my brand-new stove and they were fine. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong and suggested I use the back burners to simmer, or the warming center. Neither is possible. The smaller burners in the back are not large enough to simmer soups, stews, sauces or rice. According to the manual, and common sense, the pot or “Pan should not hang over the element by more than one-half inch.” (See pg. 37.) The temperature on the small warming center is not high enough to simmer, nor is the element big enough to accommodate a larger size pan. (See pg. 50.) I made a formal complaint to the BBB concerning C & E Appliance. Preparing a formal complaint to BBB for Lowes and Samsung.

I purchased an entire suite of gorgeous Samsung stainless steel appliances
I purchased an entire suite of gorgeous Samsung stainless steel appliances for a hefty sum of money. The Samsung dishwasher NEVER cleaned the dishes. In fact, the dishes came out dirtier than when they went in. After 5 years of having to hand-wash EVERY glass that came out of there, I purchased Bosch dishwasher. What a difference!! Every dish that I unload is now sparkling clean, literally. As for the rest of my Samsung appliances... The over-the-range microwave touch screen panel went out after only 5 months (covered by warranty). The touchscreen panel went out again after another year, which Samsung refused to warranty it. To repair it would have cost more than to replace it. I replaced it with a different brand. Oh, and the authorized Samsung repairman said to NEVER put a pot of boiling water beneath the touch screen panel. Really? Its an over the range mounted microwave. As for the Samsung range, one burner on the electric, smooth top range completely stopped working after 2 years. I had to have that repaired for a few hundred dollars. As for the Samsung refrigerator, the icemaker went out after only 7 months. They only warranty the icemaker for 5-6 months. That cost me $400 to replace. It went out again 3 years later, and again had to replace it. The freezer door also had to have the hinges replaced after 3 years. So now, I have an entire kitchen of mismatched brands of appliances. STAY AWAY FROM ALL SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. YOU WILL SPEND A FORTUNE REPAIRING THEM.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

I purchased this fridge in June 2013. Within 4 months I was calling for a service call - freezing up cause loud grinding noises. A&E service people came out cause I did purchase a 4-year service contract - good thing because 3 months later I had to call the service company. Again same problem - froze up causing loud grinding noises again. 4 months later having same problem. Called A&E service again. They wanted me to unplug the fridge and move all my food to another fridge which I did not have? Told them no I have a service contract and I want it fixed right this time. Had to reschedule to end of August. I will never purchase Samsung anything ever again. Pieces of junk!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!

Owned Samsung fridge 2 1/2 yrs., water leaked into both produce drawers for some time. After much research, it appeared this is common and not worth the repair attempt so Ive lived with it. Freezer appeared to thaw and refreeze slightly since purchase, does not open adequately, and now has defrosted completely. All food is a loss, doubt I will be able to find anyone who will even agree to work on it. Junk, junk, junk. Period. I would give a negative rating if possible.

The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section
The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section is quite common. The drain tube gets iced up. You need to replace the evaporator cover in the refrigerator section. You also need to add a drain probe to carry heat from the defrost heater into the drain tube. Before you can remove the cover, you must defrost ref for 24 hours with doors open, unplugged. To remove rear cover in ref section remove 2 screws along bottom edge and then remove plug in center near top and remove screw under it. Start prying from each side from the bottom. Release 2 plugs at top left. Make sure drain hole in tray under evaporator is clear of ice by pouring hot water down it. Install new probe and install new cover. I think that if you go to searsparts.com and enter your model number you should be able find the correct parts.

My first dishwasher broke 4 months after it was installed. I spent 3 months waiting for it to get fixed or replaced. Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldnt get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.

I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016
I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue. They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week! Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. My recommendation is to boycott Samsung and buy products from companies that will service what they sell and respond to the customer in a timely and efficient manner!

We purchased this dishwasher ( DMR 77) 4.5 years ago from Leons when we renovated out kitchen. After 6 months the heater went but it was still under warranty. Last week the circuit board died! Our appliance technician informed us it was kaput! Really!! After 4.5 years! We baby our dishwasher and always ensure the dishes are well rinsed before going in and we dont abuse our appliances! My former dishwasher which is a vibrant 15 year old + non-Samsung continues to run beautifully in our neighbors kitchen! Shame on Samsung for making such a poor quality product! Now we will have to further overload out landfills with another poorly constructed appliance! In addition, at the time of our kitchen reno we did also purchase an over the stove microwave which died after 3.5 years! Luckily we did have the extended warranty so it was replaced. But during the install one of the supporting screw brackets fell straight into the microwave. We had to get creative to ensure it was well support but my poor kitchen cabinetry has taken a beating! I will never purchase Samsung again! Buyer beware!!!!

I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator 2/09. The compressor went out 11/2/09. There is a five year warranty on the compressor [sealed system]. I called Best Buy because I bought it there. BB sends a tech out 11/21 who tested everything and determined it was the compressor but Samsung must authorize that repair. I call the Samsung rep who tells me that even though a Samsung certified BB geek squad tech had determined it was a compressor, Samsung wanted to send another tech out at my expense to do the same thing. After a number of calls regarding the stupidity of a double diagnosis, Samsung told me I did not have to pay for the 2nd tech. Tech shows up and demands 105 trip charge before looking at fridge. I refuse, he leaves. I call Samsung back a number of times and ultimately the rep agrees that if I can supply him a copy of the Geek Squad work order Samsung will replace compressor at no charge to me. I call BB, get copy of work order and email to Samsung. After several days I follow up with Samsung who is supposed to call me. I am told work order not clear enough [tech in-artfully put thinks its the compressor and it is under review.] After several more calls, Samsung rep arranges conference call with Geek Squad rep who agrees to contact tech and get more definitive statement. 3 days later Geek Squad rep calls back stating its contractor A&E service will not contact tech or let Geek Squad. I call Samsung back and am told different rep will call me. Yet another Samsung rep calls and tells me that Samsung will authorize compressor replacement but only parts. States I will have to pay for labor and freon. It is 12/25/13 as I write this and still no compressor. This is no way to treat customers. I will not buy this brand again!!

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

Had the oven on 350 degrees and was ready to put my banana bread in the oven when I heard a loud hissing and then an even larger pop and then an even larger burst of flames. My husband cut the stove off from the electrical box and was able to put the fire out, but the electrical odor was sickening for days. I tried to call the repair number on my stove, but it had been disconnected. I have been cooking for 45 years and never had a stove to catch on fire. I am so disappointed in Samsung. I dont have the money to replace the stove, so I am using an electric skillet and crock pot to make our meals. What a pain. After reading many complaints about the other problems with this stove I am lucky my ovens glass didnt blow out while in the self cleaning mode or catch fire when we were not in the house or even worse the burner would not turn off.

Samsung customer service is polite, contrite, and totally inept. I have now called 6 times to try to get burner caps (the little metal discs that go on top of the gas burner that make it work). The stove was delivered without them. The first time I called, the representative was so sorry and would send the missing parts in 2-3 weeks (!?). Meanwhile, I dont have a stove that works. I received the package after a couple of weeks and it contained 2 microwave or oven vent grates. So I called again. Representative was so sorry and would send the correct parts out in overnight express. I got the package, and it was 2 of the actual gas burners (which I already had) and the 2 larger burner caps.So now I have 2 burners that work, and 2 vent grates I dont need, and 2 gas burners that I dont need. So. I called again. Same thing. So sorry, send those right out. Never got anything. I called again. And again. And again. Seriously. Everytime I get an apology and a promise and then nothing arrives. ARGGG. How hard can it be???? And I still only have 2 working burners on a brand new range, over 4 months after installing it.

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. The new Samsung over the stove microwave matches the new Samsung stove and has some nice features and I do like it, but it is starting to make a grinding noise. It seems to have caught something from its big brother, the stove. This stove has all the bells & whistles..Looks like a cooks delight... Thats a disguise. The stove really sucks. It cooks everything to hot and the smooth top is a ** to clean compared to my old Whirlpool smooth top. The top burners on the Samsung take eons to come up, and when they do it mimics Kilauea. It will not do a simmer but slow boils. I end up cooking everything on the small burner rings, including big pots. I had to drop the oven temperature down 25 degrees to get the right results. I called the Samsung repair service. The guy told me there is nothing wrong with the stove. He must be a Democrat.Recently, when I use the oven, the convection fan started making noise... It is now making a racket. I checked with an appliance guy and he said that he has seen Samsung stove fans junk out before and eventually seize on a regular basis... the cost to replace the fan assembly would be about $300-$375 bucks. I went on the Internet and found videos on how-to replace the fan. I found an appliance parts website. My husband looked at the YouTube videos and is going to fix the stove himself. Never a Samsung product again. I understand their TVs are not very good either.

We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. Myrtle Beach SC. I would NEVER recommend Samsung Appliances to anyone.

Buyer beware! If you are considering buying ANY Samsung appliance, contact Samsung first to find out where your nearest qualified repair technician lives, because you will certainly need them. After 4 years and 10 months, our refrigerator fan started making a noise similar to aircraft. It is no longer cooling enough on the refrigerator side. We called Lowes, who arranged for a tech to come out and look at it who lives 3 HOURS AWAY!We also have a Samsung dishwasher that stopped working after 4.5 years, and asked if they could fix it also. Lowes said they did not know if this technician could also service the broken dishwasher. Many appliance repair people do not like to, or simply cannot work on Samsung appliances. Samsung RF28HFEDTBC/AA Refrigerator - Samsung refused to post my comments citing it violated comment guidelines. This a dual ice maker refrigerator, one in the upper compartment with external dispensing and one in the lower freezer compartment with a tray. I called Samsung Service with one complaint: the upper ice maker dispenses ground up white ice and snow when cubed is selected (However, a second issue was discovered by technician - see below).Service told me several times that white ice is considered normal because upper dispenser freezes so fast and traps air and that during dispensing occasionally two cubes may be smashed together and broken. I requested warranty service because this was not occasional crushed ice but nearly half was crushed and a lot of snow came with the ice. Service technician repeated the mantra on the white ice and occasional crushing but also applied sealer on the ice maker to reduce air infiltration from refrigerator compartment. It has been more than a week since and nothing has changed. The upper ice maker still dispenses crushed white ice and snow. I can only assume this is normal for Samsung...this has never been the case with other front ice dispensing refrigerators I have owned.Second issue discovered by technician. The lower drawer was not extending fully making unloading and loading the lower freezer very difficult. Installers did not catch it and I thought it was normal. The technician jerked the drawer to the side and pulled it out very hard and now it opens about twice as far as it did. Much better. He said this was a common problem due to drawer alignment. Aside from the upper ice maker white ice and snow now the refrigerator works fine. I tried to be honest and forthright and gave it an average rating due to what I consider to be a fundamental design shortcoming and Samsung refused to post on their comment site.

There are so many of the reviews here with the exact issue I’ve had with the Samsung French Door refrigerator but I thought I would add my two cents just in case someone may still be considering buying one of these things! The ice maker has been a constant issue and I’ve had repair after repair called in on it. It completely freezes up and stops working, leaks water all over the place. It’s unbelievably annoying. I had the 4 year extended warranty with Lowe’s so I haven’t had to pay for these repairs but now I’ll have to be paying out of pocket for anything. Every couple weeks we have to defrost the ice maker. Lowe’s tells us now that they only consider a product a lemon if the same call is made 3xs in 30 days, well I could’ve met that criteria if I had felt like dealing with service calls over and over. However, had I known that I would have dealt with it. There is a class action lawsuit on this matter. Bottom line...run from Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung convection range/oven on 5/30/2014 from Best Buy for $770. I dont do a great deal of baking, but mostly casseroles, meats, etc. I believe baking cakes or cookies would have tipped me off earlier that the oven wasnt heating right. Over the last few months I noticed that it was taking much longer than usual for the food to cook. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. This was for our winter home and used only 6 months a year. So other than entertaining these appliances do not get used. After reading these reviews Im feeling very lucky. After two years we are on our second stovetop that has exploded (and not covered by warranty). The top is so bad you can slice your hand open just by cleaning. The stove light stays on hot permanently, the cleaning feature has never worked, the heat is never even and the funniest thing is that the first time I cleaned it with Windex all of the numbers came off the dials. When I called them they agreed to cover it, wasted my time by sending out a repairman who then called me a liar and said I had broken the stove. I have never heard of such unethical handling in my life. I own apartments and have never had this problem with good old American products. And I will never shop at the store I purchased this at because they carried and supported such a horrible product.

I purchased this refrigerator a year ago and has been problem after problem. I mean from water leaking, handle broke and constantly freezing. A repairman has been out twice because it was still under 1 year warranty. This refrigerator was almost 3k and it’s truly trash. They had to replace the panel that shows ice and water and it still freezes.

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I also noticed that the small black circles that indicate if it is, for example, front right or front left on the range are fading and the black lines around the knobs are fading as well. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. Im afraid that the fading will continue and my range that is less than two years old will look like its 10 years old. Highly disappointed and will probably not buy a Samsung range again.

We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

Purchased a stove approx. 30 days ago, surface area on 2 burners peeling. Samsung sent a service center to assess and they apparently reported that it is physical damage. Im still questioning the physical damage from what? I contacted Samsung and was told that it is not covered under the warranty. The service advisor did inform that the peeling was a common problem with the stove but Samsung does not want to honor the repairs or take the onus.

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. The device appeared to be getting phantom button presses (fortunately not the start button) and beeping until I pulled the power plug. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. Was amazed to see that this fragile connection spans 8+ years of production. Seeing that this has happened to so many others, makes me feel lucky that I got this much use out of it.

Dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/A. S/N B00AG9MD914188D. 4th repair ticket # *
Dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/A. S/N B00AG9MD914188D. 4th repair ticket # **. We purchased a complete kitchen suite from Home Depot In Canton Ohio on 11/20/2013. They were delivered on black Friday and in the 13 months of owning this pile of appliance chunk I have lost 6 days of work, almost 8. Those lost wages could have gone to the purchase of a new dishwasher, not to mention dealing with the inabilities of Samsung Customer Service that couldnt seem to remember me and the same error 4 times (flashing delicate light). Of course they replace the parts, chasing an error that isnt in their manual because its an error that proves this unit is a lemon and they know it but they string you along telling you to unplug the unit for a couple of minutes and then plugging it in. Now I used to be a tech manager for a computer chain and that is the trick to reset the computer board inside the computer. Yes this dishwasher has some sort of motherboard if you will that needed replace on day 1 with all the other parts that were changed on this pile after this was built. In other words some people may have all the upgraded parts to the same model and are not having any issues, for the rest of us, were stuck paying for the recall. I have a complete Kitchen full of this Samsung junk, hell the phone Im using to type this review is a Samsung, which I thought was quality and comparable to an I phone. I will no longer support Samsung in anything they do. I will replace each and every piece of Samsung garbage I own and I will devote my energy into providing consumers with the reality of what Samsung is. They are a corporation that spit shines items to provide the illusion of quality, something that YUGO never did. People bought the car because it was cheap, same as Chrysler did with the K car. Consumers bought knowing that they werent paying for the name but for the car. Samsung has decided to have you pay for name because people recognize the name from cell phones and tvs. Trust me when I say this. They should not be in the appliance business, people should stick with the products their ancestors bought. Maytag, Amana, Frigidaire, and even Kenmore. I apologize to my late grandparents for purchasing this junk in the first place.Oh, and to you Samsung! You have lost another customer for life with your poor customer service and inability to relate to the consumer. By the way, your call centers need some help. Just another smoke screen for everyone to navigate. Good bye.
