Very disappointed with this model (Samsung OTR Microwave model SMH2117S). Turn table stopped working within year of purchase. This year 2017. Not 3 years past Manufactured date of March 2014. The darn thing would not work. Sometimes if we slammed the door we could get it to turn on. Did online searches and found that we should check the door latch and the door switches. Test reviewed they were good. The wiring in the left hand top of the door - seemed to be faulty. The light in the microwave and the lights on the display would go off before you even closed the door. Opened the door and jiggled the wires. It is now working. It is scary the reviews that I have read about fires for Samsung microwaves. Not recommending Samsung microwaves.

My Samsung side-by-side refrigerator was struck by lightning about one and half years ago. It was only about 5 or 6 years old and was informed by the company that they no longer sold the part I needed to repair my refrigerator. I thought this was ridiculous. I talked to the company and they could only tell me that they no longer sold that part.

Our Samsung refrigerator RFG298HDRS stopped dispensing water. At first I could remove the 4 month old filter and put it back in and the dispenser worked for 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks I would do this. Finally I replaced the filter and it would not give us any water at all. I was using Samsung filters Model DA29-00020B. Samsung tech the first time had me checking the 2 ice makers that would not work. They told me I had knock off filters from Amazon. Then I took the filter out and tried the water everything began to work. Ice makers ran and water dispensed. Called Tech support again. The guy told me that this was the first thing they should have had me try. Since that works its a bad filter. Well. I have now purchased 7 filters spent over $200 and still NOTHING works. I have noticed that Samsung has changed the filter a little too. Different label, Smaller center hole than the original for water to enter the filter however even the larger hole filters which I still had did not work.... Also the literature in the new filters boxes is not accurate. It states to put the replacement label date on the installed filter which there are NO longer any labels supplied and it also states to remove the BLUE cap... The cap is white. Even after buying the filters at Lowes they do not work. Samsung swears to me the fridge is ok since it works without the filter.... I have a tech coming out in 2 weeks the soonest they could arrive. But the techs tell me Samsung does not provide support for them in trouble shooting either. Samsung needs to change the way they do business! As much as they charge for these refrigerators, this is consumer robbery. My fridge is only 3 years old.

We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home (Refrigerator, stove, over-the-range microwave, and dishwasher). A package deal from the former Future Shop chain. Total price was just over $4,500 for the stainless steel set. Within one year, things started to fail. The fan on the convection stove stopped one month after the warranty ended. I fixed it myself to the tune of $90. 2 years on, the dishwasher grew louder and louder. The dishes never cleaned 100% perfectly. Eventually we had to wash the dishes when nobody was home (That loud). 36 months after purchase, the refrigerator began to ice up and stopped working. Two repair bills and 2 loads of spoiled food. We gave up on it and had to replace it. Repair bills were $200. Lost groceries were $250. New Frigidaire price? = $2500+. At the anniversary of year 4, the dishwasher quit. Bosch replacement? - $800.Now the microwave. The plastic door hook broke inside. I had to rig the tension spring onto another inside part so it would work. Then the top, plastic grill broke. The screw clips fatigued and split causing the grill to fall. Now the door wont close and the replacement part isnt made anymore. Cost to replace the microwave? - Still looking today (Probably +$500). So there you have it friends. DONT BUY SAMSUNG.

We bought our Samsung fridge Oct 2010 and it is now May 2014 and the repairman has been here twice now and the fridge (not freezer) has frozen over three times, once after the repair. The guy (not sent by Samsung) came out and for just over 400$ replaced the defrost sensor, cover, since it tore when he tried to take it off (still frozen) and another piece and now one month later it froze up the exact same way and now 274$ later, he is replacing the thermostat. That part is 178$ and the labor is 135$. The labor on this job is obscene. There is no one at Samsung that you can talk to and I hope they fail as a business and go under. They sell crap for a lot of money and they are not helpful AT ALL when their crap brakes.

We have had our refrigerator for about 3 years and had many problems with it. The defrost drain continually stops up and the water pools up in the crisper, the meat compartment and the bottom into the refrigerator. You have to unload the refrigerator and manually defrost it (takes 24 hours or more). This lasts for about 6 months and you have to do it again. The ice maker is noisy and continually drips water out of the dispenser. The ice maker also sweats inside which causes many problems. The doors are very hard to close and keep close. When you shut one door, it pushes the other door open. You must make sure you push both doors at the same time. Samsung was no help even though this is a widespread issue with their refrigerators. Will never buy a Samsung product again!

We had this refrigerator for a few months. The ice maker broke so Samsung had someone come out in a few days. He told me because they are made with plastic. So this may be a recurring problem? We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. If I would have had a clue I would have bought another brand. I will not by anything Samsung again.

I purchased Samsungs top-of-the-line French-door Refrigerator Model no. RF4287HARS and dishwasher DMT800RHS from Lowes in November 2010. The dishwasher broke down within just a few weeks. It took 3 weeks to get parts, then a week later it broke again. Eleven months after purchase, the LCD panel started acting up on the fridge. Some icons no longer work, and the right side fridge door wont seal very well so items dont stay cold. After several frustrating calls to Lowes for service, I finally got a call from their authorized repair person who told me its not under warranty any more. We argued and I had to call Lowes again where I was assured it is under warranty still. I got another call from the service person telling me Samsung told them its not under warranty. And again, another call to Lowes where I am told its under warranty. The next day, I got a call from Lowes telling me that it was never registered as sold with Samsung so theyre using the manufacturing date for the 1-year warranty date. I had registered the appliances when I bought them but Lowes hadnt bothered to inform Samsung.A day or so later I got another call saying Samsung has now been informed of the sale date and that its under warranty. Now I cant get anybody to work on Samsung. Even their authorized repair centers say they wont work on Samsung appliances anymore because Samsung wont reimburse them for mileage for the numerous trips it takes to repair a Samsung product, extreme difficulty obtaining parts, and Samsung is an extremely slow payer. I talked to Samsung and asked if they would pay for the parts if I paid a service person and they refused. I offered to pay the service centers myself and they refused to even come look at it. I now have a $2,800 piece of junk and it looks like Im going to have to sue Samsung.

We purchased the French Door/Freezer on Bottom from Best Buy. 2 ice makers! Model Number RF28MFEDTSR/ AA. It has the ice maker in frig. area and one in bottom of freezer. 5th day of owning it... filter light came on -- upper ice maker jams every other day -- crushed ice portion has never worked -- its not crushed -ever. And it takes over 2 mins for 4 oz... (yeah youre standing forever for sml amount). Long drawer/fresh veggies or whatever... becomes frozen constantly -- we are weekly taking everything out to get all the water and ice out! Funny thing is we did a consumer report before buying a Frig. This model was new on market and very expensive. Its a piece of junk. Samsung should recall all of these -- its obvious there are hundreds with same problem... Oh yeah -- we also bought washer (front loader) dryer both with all the bells and whistles -- from Best Buy -- (Dryer only goes 40 mins in 1 setting) - its takes almost 2 hrs to dry 10 towels -- (Electric) -- after 3 months... washer doesnt hold as much as its supposed to! Again paid a fortune for all 3... new on market! Honestly wished we had our old Kenmore products back. You couldnt pay me to buy a Samsung product ever again.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot. I will never buy Samsung again nor an appliance from Home Depot. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed bubbling of the finish on the front with peeling. This includes the left door where the ice maker is located, the drawer and the freezer drawer. The surfaces are raised from the inside out which to me indicates rust. As I began my process to complain I began with Home Depot who informed me my extended warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. From there directly to Samsung who has consistently refused to stand behind their product. Almost telling me it is my fault. Well what about quality of the product and consumer satisfaction? In the business we own, quality is our most important aspect. Without good quality and willingness to stand behind your products you are nothing. No more Samsung for this family. I found Samsung to be unprofessional in the way this was handled and have complained to the Office of the President without results. Stay away from Samsung.

Not sure which model I have as the user manual is for all three, but after reading the reviews I guess it doesnt matter much. We bought the dishwasher, along with a suite of Samsung appliances, refrigerator (one service call that took over a month and three visits to fix), microwave, stove and the wall of water dishwasher slightly more than a year ago. Well I know why they call it a wall of water, as that is what you will find on your floor! Weve had two service calls at a cost of $160 on the dishwasher and now, based on the horrendous number of reviews and stories have decided that putting more money in it is foolish. The Samsung dishwasher is the most expensive dishwasher weve ever owned and proves that old saying you get what you pay for is dead wrong.

This Samsung refrigerator was bought at Sears in winter of 2011. Model number RF266AEPN. Over the past year, we have had to defrost it twice for several days in order to let the ice melt and soak up the resulting water with towels. I clean the back lower area too but this has not been dirty. The problem starts with the back inside vents icing up and the fan begins to make noise. Eventually the temp rises. This is happening again after only 6 weeks. I have not contacted Sears or Samsung as I know it is beyond warranty but I plan to call anyway. I already know I will never buy another Samsung. For a variety of problems including broken clips which found their way into the motor area and water intake problems. One of the wheels on the bottom rack frequently comes off. Yesterday, the machine stopped working again, this time with no error message. It starts by draining (okay), then starts water inflow (okay) and then does nothing as the clock counts down. Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. Im told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function. Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasnt necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out. To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didnt work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products dont fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It wont be Samsung.

Do not buy Samsung dishwasher, leaks from door had problems with control panel and know its leaking from the bottom. The dryer heating element always burns out after 1 year and 3 months. This is my 2nd time changing this part and a wire was burn inside. I get a feeling it might not be the last. Washer leaks sometimes. Stay away from Samsung. As for my tablet the screen cracked not outside the screen but inside, the tablet was never drop and that was after 3 days that it was bought from the Bell store. As for Samsung tv, not bad. Broke 10 years after it was bought.

I bought a French Door Samsung fridge on 01/07/2017. It was not delivered until 02/04/2017. On 02/10/2018 I called Samsung because the ice maker was leaking and freezing up. They opened a service ticket and told me a service tech would be contacting me. On 02/15 I had not heard from the tech so I called Samsung back they gave me the service centers direct number to call them. I called them today and found out they are going to charge me extra to drive from Provo Ut to Logan Ut. I canceled the service call and I will support the techs in my own area. Samsung said they would not cover it under warranty. There is currently a class action lawsuit that is being looked at for the faulty ice makers because Samsung knows they are faulty and have not fixed the problem.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

Two months later the bottom ice maker stop making ice and now the freezer stop working. Samsung products are garbage. I will never in my life purchase or referred to anyone anything that Samsung makes. I had the same thing happen to me this year with their curve TV; stopped working one year later. I hope someday they will have to pay us all back for taking advantage of us. Their products are designed to fail after a year. In my case $5000.00 lost for two items just over one year old and their warranty expired. I hate everything about this company and we need to make sure our voice are heard. I recently bought a Samsung refrigerator not because I needed a refrigerator, but because my wife wanted a Samsung refrigerator. Immediately after getting the refrigerator it started making an irritating noise. A serviceman was sent out, after calling Samsung twice. The service man said the refrigerator needed replaced. Fast forward to two months later. Samsung never calls you back. Four times after many calls each time Samsung approved an exchange. Four times someone called - the only calls Samsung made, to inform us the exchange was being cancelled. Really? It seems their plan is to wear you down. Now I am in the process of filing a complaint to the BBC and the state of California. Save yourself a ton of grief. Buy an LG.

Our $2323.95 Samsung refrigerator (RFG297HD) was purchased less than 3 years ago. We were under the impression (albeit falsely so) that Samsung products were superior in quality, and that this company stood behind the integrity of its products. NOT!!! We have already had to replace the ice maker and the freezer fan assembly. After speaking to three different phone operators (all of which represented a series of going-through-the-proverbial-policy-motions), I finally was put into the ECR department in hopes of speaking to someone, who had not already been thoroughly programmed into the mechanical answers representing Samsung androidism. Suffice it to say, I hit wall, after wall, after wall after Wall. The only so-to-speak courtesy I was offered was to spend some additional money to buy into another year of protection. Really? I am sorry, but when I spend this kind of money for a product, I expect quality performance for a little longer than two years before it start breaking down, leading me to dig into my pocketbook again. Moreover, to spend additional money for extended warranties on products (i.e. Samsung products) highly suggests that Samsung does not want to be held responsible for its own technical errors or designed failures.

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

Bought 4 appliance package from Costco. All are good except for the range. Could not be worse. When it heats on high (say to boil pot of water), to turn down you have to go all the way to low and then come back up to where you want. Had repairmen out for the second time today. They agreed it’s weird and contacted designers who said THATS THE WAY THEY DESIGNED IT. Are you KIDDING??? They obviously don’t cook and don’t test these things themselves. I’ve had at least 25 stoves in my lifetime. Four of them glass top. And with NONE of them did I either have knobs that didn’t immediately respond when turned up or down (mine take up to 39 seconds to respond!!!), or did I have to nearly turn off and restart over to choose a new heat setting. In June 2015 we bought a new 2016 Fleetwood Bounder RV that had a Samsung french door residential refrigerator! We started having trouble with the fridge part getting to 50-60 degrees but the freezer remained at -2 11 months later! Samsung said it went out of warranty in March 2016, probably when it was installed in the RV! NOT when we took possession! They sent a repairman out and he claimed he fixed it but a few months later we had same issue! They gave us a list of authorized repair businesses in our area. We have to take it back to Camping World where we purchased it so they can pull it out from the cabinet it is in. One business Samsung recommended wont work on one in an RV, another showed up before we were back from our trip and before the date we had the appointment set for!! Cannot get them to answer the phone and never return our call! The other was set up to be at Camping World last Thursday at 9 AM and the corporate office called at 6:30 Wednesday night and cancelled because they closed that location! Samsung will not stand behind the crappy refrigerators they make! Why is anyone still selling this crap? Fleetwood says it is a Samsung warranty problem, Samsung says it is out of warranty although they never resolved the issue when it was under warranty and none of the authorized service centers will work on Samsung!! Camping World is no help! And our Good Sam extended warranty says it was a pre-existing problem! We are tired of living out of a cooler when we camp! We are frustrated that no one will claim responsibility for crappy merchandise! Fed up! I cant add pictures or any information because our RV is at Camping World waiting for a solution!

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

Samsung. We have a ton of Samsung products throughout our home, and our children use a lot of the same. We bought a Samsung refrigerator four years ago and in our opinion its a piece of crap!!! Weve had to have it serviced a few times in the last three months, with them charging $90 to show up, $75 an hour and parts. Our ice maker quit and are French door freezer started to quit. The tech came and changed the sensor and it cost over $170.They freeze our words, the ice maker to this day has never work again, and guess what, now the stinking freezer is broken again!!! Trying to get service to respond is horrible, It took us five calls over a 10 hour period to finally get someone to respond the next day. We were told the motherboard needs to be replaced and then the tech said the signal seemed to be OK to the sensor so he really didnt need to be replaced. The sensor controls the freezer. So we decided to toss out about these hours or more of frozen food. Now we have to go out and buy another refrigerator after four years!!! Wow!!! I want to go to Home Depot to check out refrigerators have asked want to good refrigerator was in one of two that was recommended was a Samsung!!! Are you combative were going to have to spend at least $2000 for a new refrigerator it wont be a Samsung unless they offered to work something with us. We bought this refrigerator as the result of the settlement of a complaint I filed with the state Attorney General against Sears for a crappy Amana refrigerator that broke six times in five years. Siri refuses to let us buy an extended warranty Surrey: we put extended warranties on everything we own. And this is one of a dozen of the websites where we will be publishing negative feedback on our horror story with our SAMSUNG refrigerator, which is a piece of crap in our opinion.Samsung Ticket #: **. Unfortunately, I fell in love with its center drawer and purchased a 4-door Samsung Refrigerator Freezer 3 and a half years ago, for $3200.00, without doing proper research. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.

On Oct 12 of this year I bought a Samsung Self-Cleaning Slide in Convection Range Model Number NX58H9500WS. I normally keep it clean manually, but decided to try the self clean option a week ago. After it heated up, black noxious smoke was billowing out of the oven. It was setting off all my smoke alarm, and spreading black soot everywhere. I shut down the machine from the electric junction and opened all the windows. I believe if I hadnt thought quickly it would have set fire to my apartment. I called Samsung, and they came here and inspected the machine, and voided the warranty. How does one void a warranty on a machine that was obviously defective, and could have caused a house fire? I went to the place I purchased the machine, because I had a warranty with them. They came, and they verified the stove had gone on fire. The company I purchased this from is taking care of the issue that Samsung should have taken care of. This is reprehensible on the part of Samsung Customer Service. We are now allowed to return said item to the store and will be picking out another range. You can guess it will NOT be a Samsung.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

It appears as though the rear of the freezer is freezing up as the fan is now making a noise. The noise comes and goes as the fan blade chips away at the ice buildup. I called Samsung and they suggested lowering the freezer temp to the lowest setting. After doing some research, it certainly appears that the coils are freezing up and the fan is hitting the ice. I also assume at some point the fan will fail leaving my refrigerator useless like it has for so many other consumers. Apparently there is not a fix for this? Many people have spent hundreds of dollars replacing coils then the problem comes back. I also see that a class action suit has been filed because of this problem. Samsung needs to address this issue that they apparently were aware of when selling the refrigerators.

My husband and I bought all new Samsung appliances for our first home: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. Each product has had to be repaired in the less than 4-year period we have owned the home. The most infuriating by far has been the refrigerator which now freezes over on a monthly, well, lets be real here, weekly, basis. A block of 3 builds up near the fan due to its poor design flaw which means we have the joy of unloading the entire contents of the refrigerator and freezer only to carry them out to the 1980 GE refrigerator in the garage. The sole job of the refrigerator is to keep food cool, yet this product cannot do it. Im angry that this issue has not been resolved and a recall has not been issued. It may sound crazy, but spending my monthly midnight Oh no, its done it again...time to relocate all of the food hours of fun isnt a tradition Id like to continue. I just want my money back so I can put it towards a new refrigerator that will not convert itself into a titanic sized iceberg that, although an iceberg, cannot keep my food chilled.

Even a small amount of research on Samsung dishwashers should send you screaming in horror at the thought of buying this product. Ive never written a negative product review until today, but I am compelled to warn anyone with money in his or her pocket and a hankering for a shiny new dishwasher to shop elsewhere. Just dont do it. You will be glad you didnt. This PoS I have has been a clunker from the beginning. The writing wore off the front panel in just months. It thumps when it runs. It has been down and broken more times than I can count, from input valve to water sensor to spray arms that wont stay on to fragile wheels to not draining, to not filling and worst of all, to the longest freaking dishwashing cycle I have ever seen while still not getting my dishes clean. Thank God I fix my own stuff, otherwise this $800 dishwasher would have cost me TRIPLE in repairs. It is a CONSTANT thorn in my side... constant. We upgraded to a stainless steel Samsung gas range two years ago. I loved it at first... it was pretty and new, however at the one year anniversary I noticed that the bottom pan of the oven was cracking and peeling. I contacted Samsung, but alas, we were one week out of warranty but they would be happy to send us a new part for 79.00 plus installation. I said “No thank you,” because I might have to order a number of these because they only last one year. Upon cleaning my stove about two months ago, I noticed that the knobs are all cracked and one is broken... the plastic shaft (that is painted to look like metal) all defective. Probably due to the fact that they are in metal knobs… attached to metal shaft and the exhaust from the oven is directly below the knobs. So! I called Samsung and received the usual mantra that the range is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send me some more to the tune of $55.00 per knob plus shipping. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but receiving no satisfaction. THEN! I got call from customer service a week later, that they would indeed give me a one time warranty on the knobs and to expect them to come shortly. I was really happy and looking forward to the knobs arriving. Well... we are one month out from receiving the call that they would replace the knobs, so I called Samsung to follow up. After sitting on the phone for another 45 minutes, I was told that Customer Service had sent the order to the parts department and the parts department denied the claim. Of course, no one called or emailed me.So, they told me I could order new ones. No thank you! Two weeks ago I was going to bake an item, and my oven would not heat up. We purchased the extended warranty from (H.H. Gregg… who is currently out of business!) so I called the warranty company who sent out a service man who replaced the oven igniter. The service man told me that most ovens are made this way... the bottom plate chips and cracks... the knobs break and crack... and to be on the watch for the convection fan because that will be the next thing. This range is just a piece of junk... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance. We thought we were purchasing a quality appliance... guess the joke is on us!!

This panel will stay locked for a week or two and then unlock on its own. The lower drawer or crisper came cracked and one of the shelves where the ice maker is located has a thin line crack also. I work and have to take a full day for a repair and when I called them, they gave me a work order number. If they call back and I dont pick up, they cancel it, so I called in for another one. So I have two work orders, and they told me the repair person is waiting on parts. Now someone named Brittany says that its cosmetic and they do not do cosmetic. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they say I have to wait for an hour. A malfunctioning dispenser for me is not cosmetic, not on a $3,000 refrigerator that will be a year old in August. I have explained this over and over again when I called and when the technicians called now, they asked me if its locked, call then when it is. Well, I have on two occasions and they have not reacted. I wish they would put this on their refrigerators. If panel malfunctions, its cosmetic. I asked if there was a way to reset it and there is none but unplugging it which I have tried and it does not work. It will be two months that I have been trying to fix this. I will never buy another Samsung.

I purchased and installed this Samsung SMH9187st Over-the-Range Microwave Oven in May 2010. It operated with no problems until May of 2014 when, after a short period of use, the oven would lose all power - as if the plug had been pulled. Power would restore itself after several minutes, or sometimes several hours. This continued intermittently for a couple of weeks until I had a chance to investigate further.I disassembled the microwave. (Plastic parts in this oven are very thin and cheaply made. Although I was going slowly and carefully, I cracked the top grill in several places when removing it and had to glue it back together.) With the control panel removed, I observed two thermal cut-off switches on the bottom of the unit. One of them had what appeared to be burn marks on the plastic wire insulator. I started the microwave (with the control panel moved to the side but still connected) and noted that shortly after the timer finished and the oven shut down normally, a small spark occurred at the location of the burned insulator, and all power to the oven was lost. Additional sparks were seen at 10 to 30 second intervals until I unplugged the unit. Upon disconnecting the wire where the spark was occurring I noticed that it had been improperly installed. The metal connector at the end of the wire (inside of the plastic insulator) had not been clipped onto the metal lug of the thermal cut-off switch. Instead, it had been wedged between the wire connector and the plastic insulator, resulting in a poor electrical connection, arcing and overheating. I reattached the wire connector to the metal lug of the thermal switch, firmly pushing it into place so it was attached just like the other wire connection on the switch (see attached picture). That seemed to fix the problem. The bad connection must have occurred at the factory since the oven had never been repaired or disassembled since I originally purchased and installed it. After four years the plastic insulator deformed and melted enough so that the already weak electrical connection overheated enough to trip the thermal cut-off.I checked other connectors in the oven and found a couple of others with the same problem, so I fixed those as well. So, here it is two years later and the microwave has stopped working again. I opened it up and quickly saw that yet another wire has completely burned through and is hanging loose. Its going in the trash. I cant risk having this appliance burn down my house.

I purchased my Samsung French door refrigerator, model RF26HF, December of 2014. From the start the fridge was louder than my old one. Shortly after that the ice machine was producing ice at a very slow rate and is currently making ice when it wants too. We have also encountered a flap misalignment on one of the French doors. Currently, August 20, 2016, I found a pool of water at the base of my fridge, underneath the food storage bins. When I removed the storage bins I discovered a thick piece of ice the width of the base of the fridge. I also saw water dripping from the twin cooling back panel as well as coming out from the base of the door. As figured I was over my one year warranty and Samsung needed to charge me to look at the problem.Samsung did try to blame it on a filter issue and then a humidity issue, which is neither the problem. Samsung left me with no resolution and stated a technician needed to be called in to determine the exact issue. I was not given a price because that couldnt be determined until a ticket was created. After hearing this ridiculous news, I have had enough with Samsung. After reading many many poor and similar issues with this specific refrigerator Samsung needs to acknowledge a true manufacturing problem thats affecting many families. At this point with everyone having the same issue there should be a recall in place. I will never buy a Samsung product ever again!

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher - we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced. What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product - Samsung no less - and this is the way they treat you. It is not right. Period.

I brought a Samsung kitchen package at Best Buy. I have had countless problems with the Dishwasher, many of which have been previously written - doesnt wash the dishes, horrible smell (and I wipe my dishwasher interior door after each use), then when I tried to use it all of sudden lights are flashing and it doesnt drain. First repair said that Best Buy installed incorrectly, fixed that and then the door wouldnt open properly. Tried to use again, same issue with lights flashing and it moves to delicate and doesnt drain again. New repairman came out and said hes NEVER seen a controller board go in a dishwasher cost of the board is $190.00 + installation. Never buying a Samsung kitchen appliance again. $2900 Samsung french door refrigerator. Ice maker failed a little over a year after we bought it. I would have to remove the ice bin and use a blow dryer to melt ice buildup internally in the back of the freezer for about an hour each month to get the ice maker to make ice. Customer service was no help. Technician said it would cost $500 to fix. Refrigerator stopped cooling after two and one-half years. It would cost nearly $1000 to repair. Replaced it and will never buy another Samsung product.

The glass top on our stove cracked while boiling water. Contacted Samsung and was given a service ticket and authorized service was dispatched for repair. A few days later receive a text saying the service ticket had been canceled. Contacted and was told they did not know why the service was canceled. They, after contacting them repeatedly for days, issued a new service ticket. Today, two weeks after first contacting, the service finally comes. He has to send pictures of the top to Samsung and they refuse to fix it. The service tech doesn’t understand why and tells us to contact Samsung. I do and they tell me that the pictures show prior damage and they won’t warrant it. I ask what damage they are talking about as it had no damage other the crack that happened while the water was boiling. I was told that there were scratches on the top and a hole. First, we use our every day and there are small scratches where pots and pans sit on the burners and get moved. That’s called normal use. Second I informed them that there is no hole in the the top now, the past or ever. I was told the pictures showed a hole caused by the crack. They actually said I had a hole in my glass top caused by the defective top cracking. Wow. But since there are a few scratches and a made up hole in the top it voids the warranty.

One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I would like some real customer service from Samsung, but I just get boilerplate answers.

I bought the dishwasher for almost $500, embarrassed that I paid that much for such a piece of junk now and thinking I had paid that much did not purchase the extended warranty. My last dishwasher was almost 20 years old when I replaced it and I was thinking I had replaced it with a much higher end model. I did not buy a Bosch or some fancy machine, nor did I buy a cheap model, just something would get the job done for a longtime. At a little less than two years, I start getting low water warnings and it shuts off and wont complete its cycle, this gets worse and worse until I cant get it to run at all. I call Samsung and they tell me it is out of warranty and for $180 they can send someone out to look at the machine but it could cost parts as well. I got it fixed by my usual guy for much less and it worked form last Oct 2013 until this February 2014 and the same low water warning is going off and the machine once again shuts off multiple times before it runs and sometimes it take a day before it will run. This is definitely a defect in design that Samsung will not acknowledge. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. They do no customer service, nor do they acknowledge design defects. Their warranty repair people are limited and charge an outrageous amount, because they are the only game in town just to check out your machine and do not guaranty it will be covered and they are rude and arrogant as they know they are the only ones who cover your area. Just saying will never buy another Samsung appliance nor will I go to best buy as they are the ones who sold it to me, neither stand by their products.

Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

Our town experienced a power outage which cause our 10-month-old Samsung Refrigerator electrical/digital problems - freezer/fridge temperature indicator pad reading 88/88. This also controls ice and water so those are out also. Fortunately the freezer and refrigerator as still cooling, but I have no idea if this is to the correct temperature. Samsung 1st year warranty service is so far a joke. I called Samsung and they gave me the number of the warranty service contact for my area said they would call them and tell them it was urgent. Samsung gave an old number for Service Click and I tracked them down. They were to call in two or three days (thankfully the food is still cold). This is the fourth day so I called them. I was put on hold for 30 minutes, then got a message to leave my number and the nature of the problem and they would call back. This service is 350 miles away in Southern California. That would be quite a drive. More on this later. The more I wait the angrier I get. Right now I am Dissatisfied.

Our dishwasher is just two years old and quit working. After talking to several customer service agents on the phone, through email, and online, it is still not fixed. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point. There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). Initially, this would go off on its own but would then come back and until one day, it came back and just wouldnt go off. We browsed the internet and found that there was a whole sea of people that have reported this issue and turns out that it is a quite common problem. The microwave has just passed its warranty and Samsung now expects us to pay for the service and parts if they fix it. Considering this is a common problem faced by so many people, I think they should do a recall and get these fixed for everyone. The model I have is SMH9207ST. A Samsung stove was delivered to me on 11/15/14. I had no need to use the interior of the stove for several days, when I did - on approx. 11/22/14 - I found that the oven would not heat. This could have done major damage to our home. In a quick summary, it has now been 2 months and I still do not have a replacement stove. I have had to order in and eat many meals out, including Christmas dinner which I was expected to host for 13 people. I have 3 young children and have not been able to prepare them proper meals. This is a follow up to a previous complaint I had with a Samsung French doo
This is a follow up to a previous complaint I had with a Samsung French door refrigerator model # RF267ABRS. We had found our food thawed in the freezer part even though temp reading was at -2 F. I searched the web and found a repair tip to pull out unit and remove back cover. I did this and found that the coils were covered in lint and dog hair, we have dogs. The fan blade to cool the coils was also dirty and the water sump was full. I vacuumed as much of the build-up I could out of there, then unplugged the unit and used a small air compressor I have for sport balls and tires to blow out as much dust from the coils as I could. I then carefully cleaned off the fan blades with hot water and dish soap, with a sponge. The blades are plastic so I took my time. It will make a mess to clean up, but it should probably be done yearly, spring cleaning (Mine is about 3 years old and most complaints come after 2 years). I also removed the water from the drip pan under the coil with the small wet/dry vac I used. I plugged the unit back in and put the cover back. The freezer seems to be working. I will buy a thermometer to put in there to keep an eye on it as I do not trust the readout on the fridge itself. The site I used also said I should remove all items from the unit and let it sit unplugged with all doors open for 24 hours. This is to clear any drains blocked with ice. This will only work if you have a second refrigerator to put your food in to keep cold, which I do not. My issue is that there should be an error code on the readout of the unit that instructs a cleaning of the coils is due yearly, since this is a $2,500.00 unit!

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in
Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

Every summer the Samsung refrigerator model RF266abbp starts making a loud noise like an old fan. Every time we open the door it will stop and then it will start if we close it. The repair man came and said just unplug it and let it all the water from freezer flow out for at least 24 hours; then, let it dry and plug it again. Its been the third summer with the same stupid thing. I was cleaning the shelf with the thin glass, the vegetables and fruit compartment with 2 drawers, and the glass exploded! Yes, it exploded! I got glass in my arms and around my kitchen. There were very small cuts in my arms. It’s nothing threatening, but it scared me! I don’t know what to do or how to complain (if it’s useful)!

I am very unhappy with this Samsung Oven No#:(0D1NFDAH900088B), that I purchased in November of 2016, at Best Buy. I do homemade cakes for family and friends, each one I try to bake in this oven falls flat. It has been tested by Best Buys technicians, and I still have the same problem. I have to go to my sisters house, because I cant bake a cake in my own oven. Not one cake that I tried to bake has risen properly in this oven. The oven is peeling and rusting on the inside and there is stains on the glass doors that will not come out. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN!!! UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN DALLAS.
