We purchased model #RF263BEAEBC and immediately had problems with the ice maker. It would leak water every time we used it and the ice would come out soft and mostly broken. After 5 service calls and a complete ice maker replacement during the 1 year MFG warranty, Samsung said there is nothing else they can do and left us with the same problem. Now the refrigerator is 1 year and 8 months old and is very noisy when it comes on and the ice maker problems are still there. I will never buy another Samsung product again. They DO NOT stand behind their product and make things right!

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS at Lowes in May 2010. Also, I reluctantly bought the extended warranty program, but in hindsight, Im glad I did. After about a year, we started hearing a slight grinding noise. I called service and they determined that all (12) of the plastic basket clips had broken off and lodged in the motor (impeller). The service tech had to disconnect the unit, pull it out, and turn it over to remove all of the plastic tabs. Luckily, the impeller was not damaged. The tech said that this is a very common problem with Samsung dishwashers. He installed new basket clips, supposedly made out of stronger plastic, but I seriously doubt it. I am very disappointed in Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase from them again.

Samsung customer service is very poor, entailing many phone calls and waiting weeks for service people. Now when it starts making loud noises and leaking water I collect all the camping coolers, empty it and unplug it for 24 hours. Ridiculous! An expensive disappointment.

I had written earlier regarding Samsungs positive response for my request for service but they performed even better when I encountered additional service problems. The service tech they selected wasnt responding to my efforts to do the job. I called Samsung and reported the delay. After that call, they called me every day to determine if the rep had set up an appointment and offered to give the job to a different technician. I asked for another service center and they set it up and in 2 days, the microwave had the control panel replaced at no cost. The service rep was timely, called me in advance and finished the job in less than 10 minutes. Best effort by a major company ever!

Samsung Microwave SMH8165ST - 1 mo ago a potato caught fire on the baked potato setting. Samsung stated I was out of warranty because microwave was purchased 2 yrs ago. I refused an out of pocket service call. Samsung called back 1 wk later asked about any personal or property damage & asked if I would want someone to come out free of charge to repair or replace (if irreparable). After 3 repair visits (not counting the 4 appts that were cancelled/rescheduled after the 2 hr wait EACH TIME). Samsung stated the repair guy had to come out again to troubleshoot w/ a Samsung engineer on the phone. I explained that the repair guy did that @ the last appt, Samsung stated there was no record of it. I also stated that I was aware of the recall involving buttons on the panel sticking. They said I had to make another appt. I refused, spoke to another 2 managers & after 55 min on the phone was offered $130 voucher/check. I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. I am glad I do not have to deal w/ them & their incompetent repair outsourcing. I am also glad my children werent the ones using the microwave when the fire occurred. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Just disgusted.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. We selected a Samsung model that was fairly expensive thinking that it would be more reliable and would last longer than conventional models. That was a mistake. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

I purchased 3 #Samsung appliances from a BIG Box Store #LOWES. DO NOT DO THAT, they do NOT service their appliances. ALL 3 pieces (which one has been in use LESS than 8 weeks) have a malfunction, from NOT working AT all, to the electronics board on the stove/oven working on & off. The manufacturer expects me to wait up to 2 weeks for repair service. OR I can PAY for the repair myself they said. These appliances have not been in use for 4 months yet & they do NOT WORK properly. LOWES only honors returns for 90 days, I am 20 some days too late, & #LOWES will not service them either, BUT I STILL HAVE to PAY LOWES for broken appliances. Their CS sucks! They could care less they sold me some lemons. The appliance repair company 15 minutes from me, will NOT service the appliances because they said #Samsung will NOT PAY THEM enough to cover their costs, UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT BUY #Samsung appliances.

Purchased fridge new in 2015. Beginning in October of 2018 we came home to find the freezer was not staying cool and all the items in the freezer had thawed. Contacted a local company to come out and look which was very hard since no company wants to work on Samsung appliances. They found it was a seal system failure and quoted me $1093.00 to fix the issue I paid the man $100 for the service call. The repairman looked in the manual and found it was under warranty. I contacted Samsung and scheduled service. I waited a week and never got a phone call back to schedule a repairman to come out and look. I called back and was told the request ticket had been dropped and I would have to start over.So I again had to wait 24-48 hours for a call back and email receipt showing proof of purchase and invoice from company stating it was the sealed system failure. I waited yet again for a return phone call and had to call them 72 hours later. They requested one of their warranty technicians needs to come out and diagnose the issue before they took liability and could schedule warranty repairs and I would be responsible to pay the $99 diagnosing fee. I told them I would not pay that again. I had already paid a company to diagnose. Finally after having to be hateful and argumentative they found a company to come out and do repairs. They called me and requested someone to be at the house a week later between the hours of 8am-5pm. I paid someone to be at my house since I had to work. The repairman called me that morning and said he would be at my home between 1-3pm. The person waited at my house and the repairman never showed. When I got home and found out no one had came I called Samsung and they contacted the company. The company said they had sent a repairman out but no one answered the door. Which was a lie. I requested them to send someone out again and was told in order to do that I had to start the entire process over and get a new ticket number. At 6:30 pm an appliance repairman showed up at my house and said he was there to look at my fridge I asked him if he had came earlier and he said no. He was ran behind. So that company lied. The man was very curious when my warranty was up and kept saying I only had 4 months left. He connected the freezer to a system and added Freon to it. He started packing up his equipment and said he was finished. I said, You didn’t fix the problem. It has to have a leak if the Freon leaked out previously. He had no answers and left. I contacted Samsung again and told them the issue, how their repair company only put a band-aid on an issue and never replaced the parts or fixed the problem. Again I had to go through all the hoops only to not get a phone call back. I called them today and was told the reason I was not getting a phone call back is because they do not have a repair company who works under their warranty that can replace a seal system in this fridge. That I would have to find a company willing to fix it, pay them myself and they would issue a refund for my expenses to get it repaired. I asked for that in writing and they refused. I also was told I would be getting a refund for all the food lost but have yet to hear about that either. Do not buy from Samsung. Horrible company. Horrible product.

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015
I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015 after I remodel my kitchen. It works fine for about 1 1/2 year. After 1 1/2 year, I started to have problems. A year ago the freezer will not go down to the temperature I set. Even I set it to minor 8 degree F, it only went down 15 degree F. I was advised by some website to reset the refrigerator by turning off the power overnight. I did and it worked again. Six months ago, no ice came out from the ice maker. I open the ice maker and found it completely frozen. I turned the power off and blow some warm air to melt the ice. After I removed the ice, it worked again.A couple weeks ago, the freezer warmed up again. This time, I know resetting the refrigerator can only solve the problem for a few months so I called Samsung service center. A technical came, open the freezer and spent half an hours checking. He told me that defrost sensor went bad and the ice built up blocking the cold air from entering the freezer. Also the cover needed to be replaced. I ask him if the repair will take care of the ice maker frozen problem. He told me that it is a different problem and many people have the same problem due to design issue and Samsung offered to repair it free even warranty expired. I called Samsung but with no luck, Samsung refused to have it fixed. Repairing the ice maker will cost another $400.The technician left and 2 days later, another technician came with the parts. He did some more checking and told me that the cover did not need to be replaced but the control board did not send power to the heater. Unfortunately, the previous technician did not check the control board so he need to order the control board and will come back later. He told me that I should purchase extended warranty. I went to online chat with Samsungs Chat site and was told that I can purchase extend warranty even the refrigerator warranty expired. The gentlemen even told me that the I should get some discount for the current repair if I elected to purchase extended warranty. He gave me the number to call.I called Samsung extended warranty department and found out that extend warranty cost $550 a year and will be effective 30 days after all repairs were done and I needed to show them receipts of all repairs. There will be no discount to current repair either. I was surprised that extended warranty cost $550/year for a refrigerator. The conclusion was the refrigerator will experience problems very often, maybe an average of once a year because average repair cost will be 4 to 5 hundred dollar each time. This policy tells us to expect Samsung refrigerator to be repaired once a year. This morning, I found out that the water dispenser at the refrigerator started leaking. Oh boy, another problem I have to deal with. I did a quick estimate. It will cost me about $1450 to have everything repaired and spend $550 for a one year extended warranty. That is $2000. Should I buy a new one instead. My last refrigerator was a 20 years old GE. It is still in the garage working fine. The other one was a 35 years old Whirlpool. I gave it away when I purchased the Samsung. My GE and Whirlpool gave me a combined 55 years of trouble free service while the Samsung gave me 3 problems in 2 1/2 years.

I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

There has been a class action suit filed against Samsung related to damages caused as a result of the poorly designed ice maker in side by side refrigerator/freezers and the resulting leaks. Repairs are now being made for free for some models made within specific dates. Our particular model is a part of the suit but not for the date on which ours was produced. However, the technician who came to make the repair stated that its the most common call he receives. Our ice maker leaks, the line freezes and the ice maker must constantly be reset. The ice maker must be totally replaced. No costs are covered so this is a $700.00 cost to us. This will be the last Samsung product that we purchase.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher August 2013. From the very start it did not clean well. I have to scrub the dishes and utensils in order for them to come out clean. They could not help me resolve that problem. August 2014, dishwasher would shut off after 2 mins. Had to have the EC Sensor replaced. I did research and found that this is a faulty design that Samsung should address and fix! Samsung has POOR customer service. They do not respond to messages left, by phone. When you do reach an actual person you can figure on spending at least an hour per call and still you will not have had any resolution to your problem. They do not follow up in a timely manner in getting a local repair company dispatched to your home. They do not let you know who they have dispatched and when they are coming to your home. After many hours of dealing with Samsung, on the phone, they would not give us another dishwasher. So we are stuck!! We went ahead and purchased the extended warranty today seeing that we have already had two major issues with this machine in less than a year of owning it. We will be using that warranty quite a lot.

When we called again, they would have an excuse as to why it won’t work. We did this about 4-5 times. Our fridge is not 2 years old. Within the warranty period it started making really loud, scare the dogs, popping noises and the water dispenser began dripping. Samsung claimed this was normal. This continued and after 3-4 calls to Samsung with no change in their response the 1 year warranty expired. The ice machine went out 2 days after the warranty expired and we called Samsung once again and were told they needed to send someone out.Service repair company came out and told us this is a known Samsung issue and they wont do anything about it and we would have to purchase an additional warranty to the tune of $475.00 to have this covered. They made what repairs they could and said it would probably not work. Needless to say, the repair did not work and weve had issues with the ice machine and dripping water dispenser for almost 2 years now. Samsung refuses to address this issue. I can set the oven for 350 and the actual temp in the oven will be 375 one minute and 325 a few minutes later. There is also a 25 degree temperature variance from front to back and side to side in the oven. Forget cooking more than one item at the same temperature. When you buy such a big oven you plan on being able to utilize the space by cooking more than one item, but beware, they will be cooking at different temperatures. The top low burner is not low at all. It boils everything. The long middle high burner is okay on one end and way too crazy hot on the other end with flames so tall they lap over my skillet. The Samsung name on the top front/center of the stove is stickers. Each letter gradually slides off from the heat of the stove.

Junk Fridge - Six months old, starts making noise, a serviceman comes out didnt hear it. This happened 3 times. On the 4th time, the serviceman wants to charge me for service call even if it still under warranty, the reason being 4 calls and he didnt hear anything and this is something Samsung agrees with. I told them both there to get off. It is still making noise loud enough to wake me. Now, it just started another noise freezing up. I would not buy another Samsung refrigerator. PS: I paid 2,500 bucks for.

I have a RS265TDRS French door refrigerator now for 2.5 years. The cooling coils kept freezing up and it took 2 repairs costing $300 plus to fix the issue. Now the freezer is draining water into the lower part of the freezer and after a week water drains on the floor. Samsung will not warranty the defect and I will have to pay for the fix. And goodluck have a Samsung repair service center sending a representative out in a timely manner. After 3 days waiting for service, I called the service center (John Micheals) and was told yes they had a long backlog of service request. I called a local service company and had a repair service rep the next day.

Purchased a RF267AERS/XAA French door model with bottom freezer. After 2 years, ice maker quit working and started freezing over and leaking water. 2 attempts to repair have failed by a certified Samsung repair specialist. I have read all the reviews with some of the same problems. I think a class action law suit is warranted especially since these are design defects from the start. Samsung is a HORRIBLE company must be made in North Korea!! I experienced the same POOR customer service from Samsung as everyone. They do nothing past the 1 year warranty even if it is a design defect. I know I will never buy a Samsung product of any kind again. It is a total POS!!!

SAMSUNG DMT800RHB - Multiple repairs from initial start-up. Substandard materials failing prematurely with insurance related home repairs that should fall upon manufacturer defect in engineering. Samsung knew they had engineered failures into this product so to eliminate defect they had safeguards like leak sensors built in. If you have one of these appliances out of warranty I would suggest cutting your losses and buying a different brand. Do not follow Consumers Digest, this was the consumers best buy, top of their reports at the time. If Samsung dishwasher stock is high its not because of quality, but ripping off the consumers.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2010 from Sears. August 2012 the cooling system stopped working. I knew it was a failed compressor. It took ten days to get a service repairman to come out and replace the compressor. He was from A&E Factory Service. He tried to bill me and I showed him my 5-year warranty. It was resolved. Several months later, the cooling system stopped working. I called Samsung. A& E was scheduled to come out in a week. They never showed up. They had given the tag to Tekniton who when I called denied they had the service tag. I spent 4-5 hours making calls, being put on hold, transferred before finally Samsung sent a repairman out that day. What was the problem? A&E failed to weld the tubing shut properly. The coolant leaked out over time. Once again they tried to bill me. Once again I had to go through channels to clear up. Here it is February 14, 2013. Guess what? My refrigerators cooling system has failed again. I contacted Samsung for a repair. They tried to tell me that I was going to be charged. Once again, I had to remind them I have a 5-year warranty. Now when will this service person show up? How many times will my service tag be passed around? Never will I buy any Samsung product again. I have been a consumer of major appliances for 40 years. I will not buy anything labeled Samsung.

We purchased a 3 door refrigerator from Sears in January 2013. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty. The Sears repairman has been here 4 or 5 times. He replaced the icemaker once. Came back to fix the icemaker, which kept freezing up and leaking onto the dispenser tray. This leak caused our STAINLESS STEEL door to rust. It is still leaking and rusting more. We have talked to Samsung customer reps who told us it was cosmetic and not covered under our warranty. The repairman even told them it was not our fault. But, this did not help our plight. Will not buy anything Samsung ever again. We asked to have them replace our rusty door. Of course this did not happen.

I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? We purchased a whole kitchen suite of Samsung appliances. It proved to be a costly mistake. As many of the other reviewers report, our refrigerator kept icing up and leaking. One of the technicians who came to try and fix it, basically said that it is a design problem and the fix wouldn’t last. We ended up having to defrost it every week. The final straw was having to throw out food on more than one occasion due to the refrigerator and freezer not maintaining safe temperature. We replaced the refrigerator with a different manufacturer. I have to say I’m not very happy with our other Samsung appliances either but can’t afford to replace the whole suite after only 3 years.

Stove info. Samsung 30” range. Model #NX58K9500WG/AA. Serial #0DQN7DDH600185N. Purchased from Lowe’s on 11/15/16 for $1424.05. Warranty period through Samsung Protection Plus 11/23/2017 to 11/23/22. I am hoping you can help me resolve a problem with Samsung Corporation. We purchased the above stove from Lowe’s in 2016. My husband and I had been noticing headaches and burning eyes for 2 or 3 days — more pronounced when using the oven. As one of our CO detectors beeped off and on, we called the fire department. They checked out the air quality in the house and found carbon monoxide levels 3 times safe levels in the bedrooms. They checked the gas furnace and gas water heater. Neither one was leaking carbon monoxide. The firemen called Alliant Energy because they said Alliant had equipment that more accurately measures deadly carbon monoxide levels. Alliant determined the leak was coming from the Samsung oven. Per the Alliant technician it was not leaking from the connection — it was from the oven itself. We have the written Caution Notice from Alliant Energy stating the defect is in the oven. We also have the run sheet from the fire department indicating CO three times safe levels. I contacted Samsung twice to get them to send a serviceman. The serviceman checked the oven on 12/18. He had no CO detector and did not turn the oven on. His work order said we had no warranty which is incorrect. It also listed “Operation/Smell/Smoke/Burning Smell.” The service was required because of CO leak reported by the Alliant Energy technician not the stated product symptoms. Samsung did not call me back to follow up concerning the repair. I called them requesting the disposition of this dangerous oven which we cannot safely use. I suggested they send another repairman to measure the CO2. The Samsung Pro said they were not going to waste additional time on this repair. A very poor customer service response especially considering the extent the default. I contacted Samsung again on 12/24 restating my complaint, concerns, feeling Samsung is responsible for resolving this dangerous appliance. I was told the situation is in fact very serious and dangerous and Samsung is very concerned about me safety — a script they all repeat. They said someone would contact us in 24 hours. As no one contacted me by 12/29, I contacted Samsung again. Same story, “this is a very serious situation.” The Samsung Pro said he would make a new ticket ASAP, correct the error in the stated repair needed and add the need for a CO measurement tool to confirm the Alliant Energy technician’s report. I offered to send them a copy of the Alliant Energy findings to save them the time and effort they were unwilling to expend in earlier communications. I have contacted Samsung 12/12, 12/17, 12/18, 12/24, 12/29, 1/4, and 1/6. Every time I have contacted Samsung the last line of their communication is “do not use the oven.” It confuses me that Samsung contends the range does not need repair but always note DO NOT TURN THE OVEN ON.We have not been able to use our oven safely (and have been advised by Samsung NOT to turn it on) since 12/11. We have contacted Samsung 8 times — all on my initiation, not their followup. I understand these ranges go down a manufacturing line and errors can happen. What I do NOT understand is why Samsung cares so little about their customer service when their product is clearly and dangerously defective. This defect is not a leaky ice maker — it a poisonous gas-producing range. It is appalling that Samsung is so unwilling to correct an error they created which could cause death to the consumer whose only mistake was purchasing a Samsung product. My latest 2-hour phone conversation today with 3 transfers that resulted in disconnects. The result of the last conversation was in order to resolve these defective stove situation we need a second opinion. Samsung has only one service center and their serviceman checked on our stove with a ticket that had the incorrect problem listed. There is no other Samsung serviceman in this area other than UTech. A second opinion from the the same service company that gave you the first one is like getting a second opinion from your doctor’s partner. Now we cannot move forward because Samsung doesn’t have another service center — how is that our fault. I have a written copy of the service ticket from Alliant Energy to verify their finding. It is difficult for me to understand why we are the people without an oven for almost a month, the people making repeated calls and being on hold for 30-45 minutes, and having to worry about having to settle for a stove in our house that has been repaired by the same company who built the defective one. How reassuring is any of that? Why doesn’t Samsung want to do the right thing? None of this is our fault but we are the frustrated consumer who Samsung does care about. Again, this is not a leaky ice maker — it is a carbon monoxide-producing range. We have no reason to make this up this mess as this is only causing us fear and frustration and Samsung Corporation is not helping at all.

4 years ago we bought a Samsung French door fridge from the local Best Buy store. This summer the fridge started making loud noises like a fan rubbing at speed. Turns out it was due to ice build up on the back wall of the fridge compartment. We moved the contents to the 20 year old Amana fridge in the garage and defrosted the Samsung for the weekend. less than a week later it was all iced up again. Since Best Buy requires all our personal information just to talk to someone about how much it will cost to have a tech come out and service the fridge, we contacted a local repair shop and they said its a known problem and that the Samsung repair doesnt work so they were reluctant to even schedule a tech.A week later the water dispenser button broke and while trying to fix that we noticed the 800 number for Samsung. I called them and a very pleasant fellow after reviewing the photos I sent issued a one time free repair service. #**. 24 hours later they call to say there are no available service providers within a hundred miles. They suggest I call Samsung appliance service who tell me since its not the ice maker they wont repair it and I should just call a repair service on my own dime.So I have a Samsung fridge that ices up and is causing food to spoil. Up to a quart of water collects under the Cool Select Pantry tray, that is also cracked. A broken water dispenser and an all-round piece of junk for a fridge backed up buy a we dont give a darn manufacturer. Wish we had read the reviews before we bought this because like so many others I will NEVER recommend a Samsung appliance. Bad design and worse service. The Samsung experience.

I bought an RF266 from Lowes in the fall of 2007. Unfortunately, I did not buy the extended warranty. Just after the warranty period ended, the icemaker broke. The ice bin is straight across the back, so when the ice is dropping and you pull the drawer out, it breaks the sensor bar. That has been corrected in newer models. Since that happened, we have not had an icemaker for the first time in over 25 years. I called and emailed customer service and never had a response. Next thing that happened was one of the shelves’ front edge cracked. Then we noticed the egg container and butter door had cracked also. This past summer saw the temperature fluctuating from 48°F down to 26°F freezing everything in the fridge. After talking to a couple of different techs, they recommended putting a good thermometer inside and manually changing the temp. All of the techs said that we were looking at $600-$900 to repair this thing and waiting several weeks to have the parts shipped in and maybe not correcting the problem. Yesterday, the final straw broke when one of the pins holding the deli drawer door broke. As soon as I have some calves to sell this spring, I will buy something that you can actually get parts for without having to wait for them to come from Korea. My wife asked me what I was going to do with the Samsung when I replace it and I told her it was going with all of my other junk steel and sold as scrap or maybe keeping it and storing farm chemicals in it. There is no way I would pawn this piece of work on anyone. Anyone considering Samsung appliances needs to rethink before buying. I have a 15-yr old Whirlpool in the shop that is still getting it on. I wish I had never taken it to the shop but kept it at the house. We just wanted to get the newer style and increase the cubic feet.

I tried the unplug/replug but I am not very handed with repairs and did not want to try anything else. Of course I purchased the microwave in Dec 2010 and didnt get the extended warranty but did not think I would have to. I tried the live chat and was able to get the representative who had heard about this issue multiple times and stated:The control panel will be replaced free of charge as part of the warranty. In the event that the control box requires replacement, the issue cant be recreated during the service visit or the issue is determined to be anything other than the SE error code, it will be an out-of-warranty repair and you will be responsible for any costs. Do you consent to these terms?I replied, I purchased this in 2010 so I am sure it is out the warranty time frame. I have been looking this issue up on the internet and there are many complaints about this issue and Samsung has been willing to make this repairs even if it is out the warranty. Yes, that is correct, the issue will be repaired as per the above consent. Well we will see what happens and hopefully Samsung will step up and make the necessary repairs.

I am having the same freezer issue with my 2 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator! This is ridiculous! I replaced my 14 year old GE Profile refrigerator with this one! I never had an issue with my GE and Ive had nothing but issues with my Samsung appliances. A couple of months ago, the dryer had an electrical (NOT lint) fire so I had to buy another dryer and chose to replace my Samsung washer same time...and they were only 4 years old. I called customer service and she asked Anyone hurt or was there property damage? When I said no, thankfully I was at home and unplugged it before the fire trucks got there... she said... sorry. Your 4 year old dryer is out of warranty! She wanted to document any damage in case there would be a lawsuit. I dont care if its out of warranty or not... NO appliance should catch on fire. I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I called Samsung last night when I discovered it and she tried a couple of things with me then referred me to a dealer that is 2 hours away! They need to own it and take responsibility by providing recalls/repairs. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Samsung does NOT stand by their products. Period.

I again called Samsung and no kidding was on phone for over an hour only to be told Too bad. Sorry for the inconvenience but we are not fixing it. What a crock! Our Samsung refrigerator completely stopped working 18 months after purchase. French doors with bottom freezer. No in-door ice or water. Trying to keep it simple to avoid issues. Main warranty is only one year, thanks, but other certain items covered longer. Good luck dealing with Samsung. They will set up service, but it will take two days for the service company to even contact you and then who knows how long to actually schedule appointment, and then both companies they have set up to come to our home - because the first one lied and said I cancelled appointment due to cost -- are the most poorly rated of any kind of company I have ever looked at online.I rely on online reviews, but have never felt so compelled to post until now. I am very disappointed with quality of Samsung and now see that many others are too. I have scheduled a separate service company to come out, after already paying out of pocket for another, and will probably just end up paying them to repair instead of fighting with Samsung about warranty; that is if they even can repair. I will be doing a complete remodel on another house soon and will not buy any Samsung appliance again.

We did have to call the fire department. We have spent at least $300.00 eating out and another $300.00 trying to get the smoke out of our home. We adopted a sibling group of (4). December 2016 our 10 year old oven went out. Having a new family we decided to purchase an entire new set of Samsung stainless steel kitchen products. The refrigerator has been a nightmare ice maker leaks never makes ice, (we consistently have a towel in the water tray) the dishwasher will often stop draining we re-run, the Microwave door sticks, however now that the oven caught fire the bottom of the microwave is burned. Lastly we are thankful we were home because our kiddos would not have been able to control fire, while the fire department was in transit. I will never invest in another Samsung Product. We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. We bought our refrigerator in March of 2011 and have had nothing but issues
We bought our refrigerator in March of 2011 and have had nothing but issues with it since the year warranty expired last year in 2012. I have contacted Samsung via chat, phone and email multiple times to complain and request a replacement. Each time they tell me they are escalating my request to their Executive Complaints Division. They tell me that I will hear back within 1-2 business days, and I have never heard a thing. When Ive called on numerous occasions, the person I speak with apologizes and essentially tells me that they will escalate. We had to have the fan and motherboard replaced last year in June 2012 and shortly thereafter, the ice maker stopped working. Now, the Twin Cooling system appears to be broken and there is consistently standing water below the drawers. This is unacceptable and Ive been reading about hundreds of other similar complaints via the website. Samsung just does not do anything about it. We have 3 small children and now have had mold growing in the refrigerator. We have had this now for 2 years, and I believe it is undoubtedly unacceptable to have to buy a new refrigerator already.

Samsung Model DW80K7050UG/AA-0000 failed twice in two years: - Touch screen failed to respond- Top sprayer wand bearing failureThe touch screen failed to respond unless the power was reset. This got progressively worse until we had to replace the dishwasher with a Maytag. The display board was $150, but the problem might’ve been in the main control board which contain the power supply. Since it was out of warranty the repair may have cost $300.After a year of ownership, the top sprayer wand bearing failed because it was ground down by debris picked up by the dishwasher. I consider this a design defect. Fortunately this was under warranty repair but the dishwasher was out of service for about two weeks. Being an engineer, I deem this to be a design failure where on filtered water was put into a bearing which ground the plastic down until the bearing failed. I am no longer a believer and Samsung dishwashers.

The only complaints I have is that the ice maker could be more efficient and that it could produce more ice. Also, the refrigerator makes an occasional noise as if the ice maker is having to work harder than it should. I have a warranty but I have not invoked it since the ice maker does work. Also, the machine keeps my food very cold.

Samsung being the best brand name in the market and having a good reputation, we had purchased refrigerator on 24th February, 2015. Model no: 45H5809SLSerial no- Price: 48800/- Merchant name - ALFA Vile- parle West. With reference to the above subject the day from when the day from when the refrigerator had been installed its not functioning properly, the vegetable tray which needs to keep the vegetables fresh is forming Ice and spoiling all the vegetables. There are several occasion wherein the technician have visited our residence to check it but rather than getting a solution for the issue they advise us how to keep and store the vegetables. The main issue of the technicians, whoever visits is that they cant resolve the issue but in return they keep advising us how to use the refrigerator, seems like its the first time that we have purchased the refrigerator and we are unaware of using it.Very sad and disappointed experience that we have faced in these months due to the Samsung refrigerator purchased. I would request the company either youll resolve the issue ASAP or else replace the refrigerator. I have always experienced a good customer satisfaction from Samsung, hoping that youll keep it up to the mark. Kindly please revert ASAP. Thanking you.

Lots of known issues with Samsung refrigerators. Do some research, there are lawsuits out for things that they refuse to acknowledge as a problem. Their suggestion for me is to fix all of the issues (that all repairmen and numerous Samsung forms say will return) first and then spend an extra $600 a year to warranty the machine.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

On Oct 12 of this year I bought a Samsung Self-Cleaning Slide in Convection Range Model Number NX58H9500WS. I normally keep it clean manually, but decided to try the self clean option a week ago. After it heated up, black noxious smoke was billowing out of the oven. It was setting off all my smoke alarm, and spreading black soot everywhere. I shut down the machine from the electric junction and opened all the windows. I believe if I hadnt thought quickly it would have set fire to my apartment. I called Samsung, and they came here and inspected the machine, and voided the warranty. How does one void a warranty on a machine that was obviously defective, and could have caused a house fire? I went to the place I purchased the machine, because I had a warranty with them. They came, and they verified the stove had gone on fire. The company I purchased this from is taking care of the issue that Samsung should have taken care of. This is reprehensible on the part of Samsung Customer Service. We are now allowed to return said item to the store and will be picking out another range. You can guess it will NOT be a Samsung.

It leaks, and Samsung is refusing to replace it. Dont believe their warranties, they will try their hardest to get out of actually doing anything. It failed with a LE code and a puddle of water. We called the same day, and the earliest the Samsung-contracted repair tech could come was a week later. Samsung doesnt contract with a real repair company, its something called General Appliance and Insurance Service. The tech showed up with no parts and almost no tools, and in a tiny car that couldnt haul a dishwasher. He pronounced that while he could see evidence of water (dried soap residue), he didnt see any water, so there was nothing he could do. Never mind that we live in a desert and it had been a week since it leaked. We got on the phone with 1-800-Samsung, who transfers you to Executive Service, which is the call center where they tell you jokes before giving you nothing. I told ** that the tech had been unable to find the leak and made no repairs. Given that nothing had been fixed on the unit, I said it would leak again and asked for a replacement unit. ** refused. He said it has to leak three times before they will replace it. The next day, it leaks again. We call it in, and now were waiting for the tech to come out and do nothing again, knowing weve got at least one more round of this circus before I can throw this piece of trash into their truck and get a decent dishwasher.

We purchase a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TD less than two years ago. The whole unit shut down today and we lost most of our food. A technician came out, said the control board was gone and would have to be replaced for $411! Tried to get through to Samsung with no luck. The technician said Samsung was the worst units that he works on. When we first got the refrigerator almost 2 years ago it took them almost 3 weeks to get the ice maker tubes attached. This is unacceptable. These appliances should last at least 10 years with no problems. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

It smells like sour milk and rotten food. It hardly cleans the dishes even on the longest cycle with the Sanitize button pressed. All our glasses are covered with food particles. We purchased a Samsung RF197ACBP French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy in August 2013 after considerable research. We bought it because it was one of the rare 19 models that would fit into our cabinet-depth space, and because of what seemed like a good general reputation. Wish wed checked here! The door handles of this black refrigerator have had paint scratching off since the beginning. Best Buy replaced them the first week, but theyve continued to scratch and ding. A week ago, we couldnt open the left vegetable drawer. Discovered it had become stuck in place by a half-inch of solid, clear ice underneath. After eliminating all other possible sources of leakage (and note, we did not install the ice maker, so theres no water being piped to the refrigerator), we discovered a vent hole on the back panel that appears to be dripping small amounts of water. Now weve read how common a problem this is, and of course our fridge is out of warranty, and we are left to deal with it. This is corporate fraud of the most disgusting kind. To think that this expensive, ill-designed piece of junk replaced a 40-year-old Amana that never once failed us makes me despair of American and global business. Well try the self-help options - and maybe a local repair call - but I wont pay a dime for Samsung or Best Buy service.

If you are considering buying Samsung Products - Save your money! We bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer in 2012 and already had to have repairs on the washer ($279 for latch on the door). The dryer is ruining our clothes because the lint trap is defective and sticks up and catches and twists the clothes until they break. Our Dishwasher that we purchased in 2014, sometimes takes 6 cycles to clean. The soap dispenser does not open or the cycle stops and all the lights start flashing. The other day the dishwasher ran for almost 6 hours while we were shopping and was making a horrible noise. I called Lowes, where we purchased and they were no help. I called Samsung and was told I needed to buy a new lint trap, and they could not help with the dryer. As for the dishwasher, I have a transaction number of ** and was told someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss what our next step was. It has been three days and no one has called. We also have a Samsung stove/oven and microwave - crossing fingers those last longer than the other appliances. Bad product and bad customer service!!!

They had a company replace the evap cover and defrost sensor, which so far has cured the freeze up problem. They refused to replace the tray because we must have broken it. Ive owned a lot of refrigerators in my 70 years. This is the first that Ive ever broken in years. Also, youve got to be careful in opening the Cool Select pantry. I finally got my dream house in 2012, so I was excited to be able to buy all new, top of the line kitchen appliances! My husband told the salesman that he loves bells and whistles and that was the wrong thing to say! However, our excitement was short lived when each appliance started having problems. First was the dishwasher, next the refrigerator, then the range, and last of all the over the stove microwave. This all started just as soon as the one year warranty ran out.The smooth top, convection range causes me to burn food due to its constantly increasing temperature to high, no matter what its set on. The fan in the convection oven rattles. The icemaker of the 4 door French door fridge stopped working. The dishwasher throws out numerous error codes and stops working. The microwave constantly blows light bulbs and it starts running every time you open the door. We paid a small fortune to get these beautiful appliances for our fabulous new kitchen and wouldnt complain if we had bought them for looks only! Despite the fact that the dishwasher constantly smelled awful… it worked. By April 2015, I was getting the same error code. Samsung refused to stand behind their product. This is obviously a major problem with this unit with the numerous complaints and we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg! Shame on you Samsung for not addressing this problem fairly. I bought this piece of junk Oct. 2017 at Home Depot for over $1200.00 with the no customer service protection plan through Asurion. This was what we thought was a beautiful sleek side by side that would last at least 10 years. We arent rich people so this was our first side by side. The thing started making a terrible racket a few days ago and just gets worse. It apparently has a design flaw that causes ice to build up around the fan which leads to an expensive failure. After 2 days of around 12 calls to Asurion I have to wait 3 weeks for a repair. They initially set me up with a rude fly by night jerk, but hes not coming so I have to wait three weeks now for a different repair place. Nobody wants to work on Samsung appliances. You call someone in whos not factory authorized there goes the warranty. Since weve been put in this position, were forced to spend money we dont have on another refrigerator. Try finding a refrigerator during a Pandemic while riots are taking place. It seems impossible but we must have a refrigerator. The cheapest we can find is an apartment size for almost $400.00. We cant afford this & Im sure Asurion wont reimburse us for the money we have to spend for a back up fridge.

We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.

The repairman replaced the heat probe. He said that many of these have had to be replaced. The original ones were too short & they are being replaced with longer ones. This sounds as if there should have been a recall since he told me that he had replaced several with the newer type probe. My question to Samsung is...why didnt you take care of this problem before selling me an above range microwave? Did you think through the problem of condensation? Very disappointed in SAMSUNG.

I too am experiencing the same problems with my refrigerator as other consumers. I purchased this model in 2012 for $2000 and have had 3 problems so far. First, the water dispenser cracked when I tried getting a glass of water - took Sears 2 months to get the correct part from Samsung. Next, one of the shelves on the door cracked (I live alone so there are no reckless kids in the house). Now I am having my third issue with this 2-year-old refrigerator. Water leaks into the drawers and collects on the floor if I dont get to it right away. It starting making a noise like a train was coming through my kitchen - the dreaded fan problem others have complained about. Had to defrost mine twice already and was told by a representative that this is caused by a poor seal within the doors, and I should remove the seals and reinstall them. I was also told they would supply parts if a service call was made but I have to pay the labor! Isnt that the most expensive part of a repair? What a ripoff - these refrigerators should all be recalled. I think the next step calls for a class action suit against Samsung!
