We bought a fridge and a dishwasher. Only 3 months we have problem with a fridge. Ice maker does not work & water line leak make noise. We called Samsung. They sent 2 guys (horrible technicians) did not know how to do the job. They decreased my water line completely off almost. They said because of that our previous fridge did not have any problems. You know what after they decreased water line I showed them how slow it drifting. They turned around and said dont know what to do we have to call Samsung. We called, they send 2 old faces I met 3 days ago. Playing on water line again, tried to do increase & decrease, I told them it is not water line. It is mechanical problem. Unbelievable. They ask me call Samsung again. I was so angry and kicked them out. So everyone stay away from Samsung. So far so good as you can. I rate NO STAR for Samsung.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2009 at Lowes. About 2 years after purchasing the refrigerator I started having issues with water leaking inside, freezing up, stripping around freezer peeling off, ice and water maker not working, AND the refrigerator is rusting around door ice and water dispenser and around edges of doors. I have called Samsung numerous times to send someone to look at the refrigerator and see how much rust is on it. This refrigerator is in my home. They will send someone to look at it but I have to pay for it. They do not stand behind their products. This is the Worst appliance I have ever bought.

I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I called Samsung again for a new repair company, am waiting for them to call now. I can not tell if the part is under warranty (Magnatron) or not since no repair person has come yet. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. I will not buy Samsung again in any type of appliance. Overall their reputation in the last few years is taking a noise dive and rightfully so.

We purchased the Samsung 30 slide in electric range manuf. March 2021 from Lowes and it was delivered Oct. 2021. The burner has twice inadvertently turned on by just bumping the front dials. In both cases there was something on the stovetop that CAUGHT ON FIRE. This happened once to myself and another time by a contractor working in the kitchen. Researching, I found two videos on Youtube that documented similar events. Since the stove has been in place over three months, I cannot return it to Lowes and I have spent many hours unsuccessfully getting assistance from Samsung. This has been a problem with Samsung stoves, apparently for several years. Please, for your safety, DO NOT BUY.

My husband & I have always been happy with Samsung appliances and phone
My husband & I have always been happy with Samsung appliances and phones. Our experience with this dishwasher (DW80H993) has been a nightmare! We purchased a Samsung dishwasher at Conns (do NOT shop there!!) and it began to leak within 36 hours. Conns wouldnt replace it because it was more than 24 hours after we purchased it. REALLY? Home Depot & Lowes would have replaced it in a heartbeat. Conns told us to use the Samsung warranty. A&E has been out EIGHT times now and they wont tell Samsung the dishwasher is un-repairable. They keep ordering parts (two parts they ordered TWICE!) and they cant even get the DW to turn on. We purchased the DW mid-January and they tried to fix the leak once. By mid-March, the DW wouldnt even turn on. A&E was at our house AGAIN today and again they wouldnt tell Samsung that the dw wasnt repairable. We have not had a working DW for TWO months now! My husband has told Samsung that he thinks A&E is just stringing them along. Samsung has spent more money on parts and labor than if they just replaced the DW. I deal in Customer Service every day at work. I dont appreciate when people lose their tempers with me. Most things can be taken care of… and you get more with honey than vinegar. So my husband & I have been very patient but that has worn off. We have a $700 ornament in our kitchen. We saved & planned for this DW!!! My husband & I both work long hours and love having our family over on a regular basis. The last thing we want to be doing are a bunch of dishes in the sink. I never feel like the kitchen is clean because there are either dishes in the sink or dishes drying on the counter. Come on Samsung! The DW is not repairable! This has gone on long enough!!

Our 2-yr old RF197 has failed 4 times. At the first failure, at the one year point of ownership (the minute the warranty expired) and after a lot of time spent badgering Samsung, they agreed to pay for fixing the ice-backing up on the interior back, and stopping the water collecting on the fridge floor. But the repair didnt work. Again back to badgering Samsung - a terrible, terrible company. I hear there is a class action lawsuit; we plan to get in on that now. Also our atty. is pressing Samsung corporate starting today. Outrageous, because it has broken again! We paid $1300 for this junk in 2011! Recently, we arranged with them to receive a prorated refund to discard/return to them this lemon. They agreed. Yesterday, a new, very rude, sweet-voiced stumbling employee in the exec office, reading off a sheet that had nothing to do with this case said, Not approved even though we have sent the receipt properly and were told (and it is recorded on our ans. machine) that they were in the process of arranging the refund. Avoid this company! We plan - and please all of you do the same - to report to BBB and to our state Attorney General Dept of Consumer Affairs. This could be rampant fraud by Samsung and needs to be investigated. Tell everyone you know, to exert widespread political pressure. When in the store, tell others looking to buy to avoid Samsung. Check your state: many states require a better warranty than that granted by Samsungs warranty and you may have more rights than that limited Samsung warranty. Best of luck to everyone. What a racket. Our previous 2 refrigerators lasted 25 years with not one repair! We will post what we find out.

I purchased a new Samsung refrig 267 that has had a few service issues. The ice maker is very noisy and does not work smoothly, but the largest issue is the cooling system that leaks water and freezes under the cool pantry drawer. I had an authorized service agent come to fix the problem, but after an hour and a service charge, he said it was not repairable. Samsung will not stand behind the product and would not help in any way. Due the fact that they have thousands of unhappy product owners, I would hope that they would take responsibility and own up, even if it takes replacing the product at no charge. I understand the later models have new technology that eliminates the problem that thousands of current owners are stuck with.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.

I brought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Lowes in NY and my evaporator fan start making a noise, then stopped working. It took 2 weeks before a Dial Appliance technician came to repair it. It is still not cooling properly and I cannot hear the fan working. When I called them, they say this is normal. Do they think that I am stupid? How could the unit not work the way it was when I bought it and they say it is normal. Calls to both Dial Appliance (718-368-1512) and Lowes (516-837-4057) say they will call me back but never do. What is Samsung doing about this? If they cannot make it work like before, they should replace it asap.

Exact same as **s review. My lovely French 4 door, the ice always comes out mixed with frost and bits and pieces with the cubes, never all cubes. Also much if it doesnt make it into the glass and it flies onto the floor. Working to have it repaired / adjusted but not sure if that will be possible. Otherwise nothing major, just an annoyance, but it was pricey and it should work a little better.

We shut it off to defrost whatever ice was built up on the fan and when I yanked the bottom drawer (which by the way is always stuck by the ice built up) a sheet of ice about an inch thick fell on my foot causing a gash on it. Luckily my little Yorkie jumped out of the way otherwise shed be dead. So please be careful when defrosting the damn fridge.

Nothing has happened, thats the problem. We have had issues since we purchased it in March 2014. Almost immediately the popping and hissing noises started. The company said thats common but its cooling, right? If I wanted a noisy refrigerator I would have ask for one. Then during power outages it wont allow you to reset it for 24 hours. It reads as a freezer error and requires a technician to visit. So you have to wait 24 hours to find out if there is or isnt an issue to report. You cant reach anyone except online after 5 or on the weekends. So if your fridge goes down Friday at 5 you are at the mercy of a Tyler on the Samsung website who says the same thing every time...... this error needs a technician, here is a number or can an email. Then the wait. We are on the phone for the first time with a foreign speaking woman who is giving us the......a technician will call you in 24 hours. Meanwhile we have an airplane in our kitchen and no idea if our food will survive. The technician will call to set up a time within 24 hours. No idea when the actual guy will make it to our house. Worse experience I have ever had with a company. Never will I buy from them again.

6 months ago, we started having problems with the freezer side freezing up and then the fan was hitting the ice and making loud noises. We turned down the freezer control, which helped for a while. We have had this refrigerator for 22 months and yesterday it quit working. We called a repair person and he said that the motherboard and the fan were burned up. He called to get prices on the new parts and said it would cost around $300.00 to fix and replace parts. However, he told us that the motherboard was DISCONTINUED and that the replacement motherboard might not fix the problem with it icing up. We paid $1000.00 for this refrigerator and it was a lemon. Will never buy one from them again. Also, Sears is where we bought this refrigerator and we will never buy one there again for selling us a piece of junk. It started having problems right after the 1 year warranty expired!. $1000.00 refrigerators should last more than 22 months! Also, when we called the first repair company, they said they do not work on Samsung refrigerators. Seems to me they knew about the problems from me and other customers.

We bought our refrigerator in March of 2011 and have had nothing but issues with it since the year warranty expired last year in 2012. I have contacted Samsung via chat, phone and email multiple times to complain and request a replacement. Each time they tell me they are escalating my request to their Executive Complaints Division. They tell me that I will hear back within 1-2 business days, and I have never heard a thing. When Ive called on numerous occasions, the person I speak with apologizes and essentially tells me that they will escalate. We had to have the fan and motherboard replaced last year in June 2012 and shortly thereafter, the ice maker stopped working. Now, the Twin Cooling system appears to be broken and there is consistently standing water below the drawers. This is unacceptable and Ive been reading about hundreds of other similar complaints via the website. Samsung just does not do anything about it. We have 3 small children and now have had mold growing in the refrigerator. We have had this now for 2 years, and I believe it is undoubtedly unacceptable to have to buy a new refrigerator already.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

Since June 14, I’ve made several calls to Samsung to correct the finish coming off the oven, trays coming loose in the fridge and bubbling of the control panel on the oven. They just kept asking for receipts, pictures, descriptions, several times. Every time I got a new person, had to go thru the explanation all over. They told me I bought this May 2018, out of warranty, until I sent a receipt showing July 2018. Anyhow by the time the fix it guy got approved to look at it, he came, took video all over again to prove the appliances were in our house??? Talked to the rep and was told they wouldn’t cover it, REALLY??? The fix it guy said we would have to call them back, OMG, and ask why they wouldn’t cover it. Called and they had no record of any problems and to give them a week and call back. Ready to return this crap back to them. Never been so frustrated!!!

I have a Samsung Refrigerator side by side unit that I purchased from Lowes along with a four year extended service warranty. The Refrigerator unit stopped cooling the first week of August 2014. Via the Appliance Repair company sent by Lowes took a week to come and then had to order parts. The parts ordered from Samsung took two weeks to deliver and were the wrong parts. Today, a month later, the second set of parts ordered were also wrong and I was told that Samsung shipped the wrong parts once again. Samsung cant be contacted nor expedite the parts. The service provider indicated that Samsung has a poor parts department and is not responsive to the consumers need to quickly obtain parts to repair its products. The part needed is now on order once again and I am not optimistic that Samsung is capable of delivering the proper part for its product. I was told that Samsung has many victims experiencing this same issue and simply doesnt care about the consumer.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I was wondering how many complaints does there have to be before a company
I was wondering how many complaints does there have to be before a company has to recall the product or a class action lawsuit happens? I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in October 2013. January 2014, 3 months after purchase date, the ice machine broke and needed replaced. July 2014, the magnetic strip broke on the French doors and that had to be replaced. August 2015 the refrigerator temperature kept rising, ice formed on the back wall inside and the fan motor was loud. A new drain kit was installed also an evaporator assembly and an evaporator panel with motor. Its January 2017- I have been experiencing the exact problems that happened August 2015, my refrigerator is almost 60 degrees, the fan stopped making that awful sound, maybe it burned up. I call Samsung and they give you the run around, refrigerator is out of warranty, they are not responsible. I am still fighting with them to fix this SAME issue I had before, they dont warranty their own parts? Are Samsung refrigerators disposable after 2 years? My old GE refrigerator side by side is still running great after 18 years. I have never had to have it serviced one time. The repair service is coming today. If Samsung does not cover this I am calling the news, Better Business Bureau and a lawyer. Samsung should backup their products. Samsung has enough bad publicity now, I hope to spread more. Is there a Lemon Law for refrigerators? If the same thing breaks 3 times its a lemon???

There are only 2 adults in this house and we eat out all the time so this appliance is not abused, opened and closed 500 times a day by 5 kids. Wife calls Samsung and gets the run around from someone reading a card...do this, do that, and next day, thanks to the idiot, the temperature had gone up another 10 degrees. We called again and again, got another idiot reading off another card that could not give any usable information, and the best they could do is set us up with a generic all-brand appliance repair private contractor whom, after checking the c/os against him, sounded shady.I cancelled the call and took a bullet with Sears $275 plus tax $294 on top of the ton of money this hunk of Asian crap cost me (the contractor grade American fridge I got with the townhouse was working fine for 28 years until I unplugged it the day this crap came into my house). So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. As absurd as it may sound, a Honda service writer may have offered better information as what to do to check the appliance!

Had the oven on 350 degrees and was ready to put my banana bread in the oven when I heard a loud hissing and then an even larger pop and then an even larger burst of flames. My husband cut the stove off from the electrical box and was able to put the fire out, but the electrical odor was sickening for days. I tried to call the repair number on my stove, but it had been disconnected. I have been cooking for 45 years and never had a stove to catch on fire. I am so disappointed in Samsung. I dont have the money to replace the stove, so I am using an electric skillet and crock pot to make our meals. What a pain. After reading many complaints about the other problems with this stove I am lucky my ovens glass didnt blow out while in the self cleaning mode or catch fire when we were not in the house or even worse the burner would not turn off.

New convection with 4 burners and warming burner - $1100 and cost of warranty. 2 months old and some greasy water boiled oven. It dripped on oven door. Now glass inside, all 4 layers has grease on them. Cannot clean from bottom. Called service for cleaning and will cost me almost $100. The seal on the glass must have not been sealed correctly and Samsung will not fix under warranty. I am very angry and want to send it back. HHGregg store will not help - where purchased. My old oven never had this happen. This oven is made like junk.

We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.

We purchased a complete set of the black stainless appliances. After 14 months the black finish on the stove began flaking off. I contacted Samsung only to learn my appliances were out of warranty. I was informed that even if they werent, it is a cosmetic issue and thus would not be covered. They offered to send a rep at my expense for an estimate of cost which I would have to pay. They admitted it is not what they feel is acceptable quality, but refused to take ownership for the repair. Since, there is additional flaking on the range, the microwave and the fridge. Bad Samsung!

The LED lights on the Heavy and Quick buttons start flashing and the dishwasher stops working after a minute or so of starting the dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher in January 2011 and the problem first happened just after a year of purchase, so I was outside of the warranty. The bill to fix this was about $300 and all the repair person did was pull out the dishwasher and wash the sensor (he said that there was some kind of dirt on the sensor). It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. He advised me to run the dishwasher empty once a month on Sanitize mode. I have been doing this diligently. Now less than 2 years later, I am encountering the same issue all over again. It seems like there is a problem with the design of the dishwasher. Other than the initial investment, Samsung wants consumers to spend $300 every 2 years to keep the dishwasher running!!

Samsung has a known problem with their twin cooling French door refrigerator, but refuses to help to make it right. Drain tubes on these units are undersized causing the ice maker to not work and water to leak out from under their freshness trap. Weve now had two floods in our kitchen and no ice. Our appliance repair service was well aware of these problems. Our unit is 4 years old and no longer in warranty. The repair cost will be $800 to fix.

I purchased this refrigerator almost a year and a half ago. It suddenly started playing up. Now it’s neither cooling fridge nor freezer compartment. I live in a town almost 200 km away from Jeddah from where I bought it from. I contacted the dealer and he straightaway refused to help. I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. I would not recommend anyone to go for this ** brand Samsung ever owing to their awful reliability and customer service track.

After owning it 6 months, the ice machine kept thawing out and refreezing, never working properly. Then after a big whopping 1 year, the SAMSUNG FRIDGE COMPLETELY QUIT!!! We lost everything inside the fridge and went without a fridge for over a week and a half. And do you think SAMSUNG honored the warranty... Nope!!! Do you think they honored the full replacement... Nope!!! We still have a little loaner fridge because nobody can seem to help us. So I wouldnt recommend a Samsung fridge to anyone. On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. I would NEVER buy a Samsung product again!

My sister and I both bought this refrigerator for our new construction home in December 2015. Luckily hers hasnt done this. But 16 months later mine started making this loud noise coming from the upper back part of fridge. Its so loud. I Googled and found numerous people are having same problem. Ive tried the blow dryer. Didnt work. Tried defrosting only to return 1 week later. I sure dont want to start taking apart, nor should I have to. This fridge is heavy. Our washers were both recalled, in which only partial cost reimbursed. Now I am frustrated because feel no one should have issues with any product, especially after only 16 months. What am I suppose to do now. I thought Samsung would be a super brand. Now I hate it. What is being done about this company selling crap products. Ill go American from now on.

Ice maker never worked properly (leaked, jammed, made inadequate ice when it did work). Since I had another refrigerator, I decided to take out the ice maker to make more room in the freezer. Did so (after great effort--badly designed drawers for removal). Refrigerator wouldnt work. Went on chat line. First time worked with someone for 25 minutes who obviously didnt have a clue about my particular model (kept referring to buttons that didnt exist) even though I had given her the correct model (french door unit)--then cut off. Tried again; passed to another tech. In both cases, I asked if the removal of the ice maker might have caused the problem. Was assured not. Went through every possible trouble-shooting efforts (most of which I had already done). Asked again: could it be that the removal of the icemaker was causing the problems? No, I was told, I would have to call a service rep. Before I did so, however, I reinstalled the icemaker. Refrigerator worked perfectly. Apart from the fact that English is clearly a second language, these folks dont have a clue about their own equipment.

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldnt come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didnt purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they wont do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesnt stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasnt bought through them. I wont buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldnt stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didnt last more than two years. When he left and we ran a cycle, suddenly it wouldnt drain. Guy came out again a few days later, took a look and said it needed a new computer board. They mailed it to my house. Took over a week. After not being able to get the guy to the house, he missed an appointment then showed up the next day while I was at work, we put it in ourselves (Almost 3 weeks, over 2 weeks with water in the bottom of the dishwasher that even with baking soda etc, was starting to stink up the kitchen!). I purchased our Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowe’s under 2 years ago. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed what looked like possible spaghetti sauce splatter on the front of the fridge and when I went to wipe it off realized it was rust. At the time the refrigerator was approximately 1.4 years old, had been kept inside the entire time and we cleaned as instructed by the Lowe’s employee when it was purchased. We did not purchase the extended warranty but I called the Samsung Helpline thinking they might offer to replace the doors as rusting doors seems like a clear manufacturers defect in my opinion. I was told that this fell under cosmetic issues and therefore there was nothing they could do for us except offer to send a technician to look at it. So, I still have a rusting fridge in my kitchen. Then 3 weeks ago I came down to our kitchen to leave for work to find our kitchen floor absolutely flooded. The ice maker valve had apparently broken causing our water supply to kick water out of the fridge into the kitchen while we slept. The first technician (suggested by Samsung Helpline) could not identify the problem but said he would replace the inlet valve, ice maker and mother board for approximately $450.00. Not to mention we had to pay him $45 simply to come inspect the refrigerator. We chose not to have him touch the fridge since his shotgun approach to the problem did not make sense to us but were out the $45.00. The second technician identified the valve as the problem and between part/labor we paid about $240.00. So far no more floods and the ice maker is still working. We purchased this refrigerator because of its nice appearance and based on our understanding of Samsung’s reputation which I thought would translate to a reliable product - a decision I clearly regret. Im clearly disappointed in Samsung as I had faith their product would be more reliable and/or their service more professional. Im also disappointed in myself because the refrigerator I purchased 15 years from a different company and havent had to put a cent into is purring right along in my garage and regret not showing more loyalty to that company.

I own a Samsung Refrigerator model RT33FARZASP/TL, purchased two and half years ago. The refrigerator bears 10 years warranty which is not cooling at all. I lodged a complaint with Samsung customer care, they sent their representative who said gas of the refrigerator has leaked out and I have to pay for the visiting charges and gas filling charges plus parts. When I said, its under warranty, he said warranty is only for compressor. I argued gas remains in the compressor only, and if it has leaked that means the compressor is not good but he didnt accept my argument and insisted to pay the cost of repair. Gas filling will be done by them on 30.04.2017. Earlier I had been using other brands, normally they work 10-15 years flawless.

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.

I have had to go rounds with customer service (they are horrible) with still no resolution. EVEN WORSE my stove caught fire from a faulty switchboard the day of my daughters open house! My stove no longer works and there was damage done to my wall and floor... My husband and I have been trying to get Samsung to take responsibility for the damages that their review board admitted was caused by their faulty product! WHY is there no recall on the stove??? It is a safety hazard and Im not the only one who has had a Samsung stove/ product catch fire!

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in 2009 at Sears. It keeps leaking water under the cool pantry drawer and freezes. I have already paid once to have this fixed. I was told a drainage hose gets clogged up and overflows under the drawer; defective design issue. Once again it is doing the same thing. The repair man recommended only to buy Whirlpool made in America; he said Samsung is pure defective junk!

We totally remodeled our kitchen and purchased new stainless appliances. The refrigerator is a Samsung. We paid for it in November of 2014; it was delivered in February 2014, installed in March and began being used on a full time basis on May 23rd of 2014. We had problems beginning immediately and still are having problems. The problem is the ice-maker. We have been told by one repair person Americans like too much ice but he replaced the ice maker which continued to make twenty six cubes a day. I went to the Lowe’s store manager who was to do something but failed to (big surprise there). We waited three more weeks and complained again and asked for another service provider at the encouragement of friends. They were busy and took three weeks to arrive. They ordered a new motherboard which was installed four weeks later. For the month of November and December of 2013 we actually had ice! Then it started coming out crushed and no cubes. Out comes another guy who says it is the auger… Called Samsung and asked for it to be replaced - got nowhere. Repair guy is coming tomorrow to install the auger. The bad news our warranty is gone as of February 7th. Talking to Samsung is like talking to a repeating robot. Now I have spoken with several people who have had ice problems with this model from day one. I am hoping between Lowes and Samsung someone is going to do the right things. I have owned six new refrigerators in six homes and never been through anything like this. To find out Samsung is aware of the defect is even more upsetting. My only choice at this point is to buy a new refrigerator and employ someone to drop this one off at the Lowes front door. I am still paying for my very expensive remodel and intend NOT to pay for the refrigerator. Lets hope someone steps up to the plate real soon!

I called a Samsung-authorized repair company to fix the ice maker in my 4-door refrigerator/freezer. The ice maker kept icing over and stopping. The technician was familiar with the problem because Samsung had sent out a service notice to the effect that this ice maker was defective in many of this model refrigerator. Although this is a known defect, Samsung does not support its product if the problem becomes evident after the 1-year warranty has expired. My refrigerator is 2 years old. I have to pay $450 in parts and labor to replace the part. When I called, Samsung refused to pay even for the parts because it is not their policy to do so. Thats the last time Ill buy a Samsung appliance.

Read all of the negative reviews on Samsung refrigerators. They all say the same thing.... Ice maker freezing up, water pooling in and under the meat and vegetable bends, water overflow on the floor, filter light will not go off. Dont just read what is said on this site... Go anywhere on the web. You will see nothing but the same negative reports. Samsung will not recall nor fix the problem. Samsung sent out a service memo to the companies who sell their refrigerator in June of 2015 advising them of existing problems with the refrigerator. Lowes sold me a Samsung refrigerator without telling me about the existing problems or the service memo. Samsung will not stand behind their product. The only way we, as consumers, can fight back is to boycott the company and the stores that sell their products. Consumers are fighting back... There is a class action law suit against Samsung over these faulty refrigerators. The stores who continue to sell Samsung products without telling the customer about existing problems should be sued also.

I had my Samsung French Door refrigerator for approx. 5 years and the same thing. First the handle came off on the freezer. The digital panel went out 3 times. Now it leaks water and does not cool or freeze. Its not under warranty anymore. I called a technician and they state it needs Freon but from what I understand this appliance is supposed to have a closed system. From this point, I refuse to buy anything else Samsung. There should be a class action lawsuit. This is 1800 dollars gone to waste. We had a Kenmore for 20+ years that never leaked or needed Freon and we got rid of it to upgrade.

We purchased a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave from Lowe’s on 5/04/2010. Fifteen months later, we started getting the SE code and beeping as others have mentioned. We unplugged the unit and re-plugged and it worked for another 24 hours then started beeping again and showing the code again. My husband is attempting to go a little further and take off the control panel. Well see what happens. We are just so disappointed that you cannot expect an appliance with a cost of almost $300.00 to last at least 5 years!

I bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. The freezer doesnt work on the bottom. The air leaked because the seals broke after first year of having it. A repair guy came over and said thats typical of all the Samsung refrigerators. No fix - cold air was escaping - then the handles started to break and the bottom tray was always filled with water. The refrigerator started to get really hot and ice machine broke... Now the refrigerator is broke. Wont get cold... Person at Samsung was super rude. To get someone out here to repair it is $150 just to have someone see whats wrong. Its junk - they are ripping consumers off! There are hundreds of 1 stars... Why isnt anyone shutting this foreign piece of crap company down.

I bought the Samsung slide in range because of its sleek look. However, the knobs and buttons on the front are extremely sensitive and the oven and range turned on accidentally all the time. One night while sleeping, the smoke detector went off. A towel lying on the range had caught fire and flames were everywhere. Trying to get the towel into the sink so my house didnt burn, I knocked a bottle off the counter that shattered the glass on the oven door. A technician for Samsung came to assess damage. He suggested I contact Samsung customer service. After multiple calls, I contacted them through their chat line. I was assured the situation would be taken care of, the existing ticket was escalated, and I was to be sent transcript of call. No transcript, nothing taken care of because product was not defective. The design certainly is defective and this product is not safe. Samsung is irresponsible. I had this stove 3 weeks.

Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freeze
Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.

Samsung is a joke. Purchased a microwave that lasted only 3 years with minimal use. Got the SE error code. Called Samsung for help. They agreed to send out a service tech, well lo and behold NO ONE in my area will even deal with them. So basically Samsung told me it was my problem, but they were willing to repair it if a service technician was in my area. This process took me 3 weeks. They wont return calls, then transfer from one dept to the next, it is a total joke. They finally agreed to pro rate the cost of my microwave. This process took another 2 weeks. Needless to say I will NEVER again purchase from Samsung.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

I purchased Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator July 2018. The ice maker started freezing over and not working and has been doing this every couple of month. I have been thawing it out and reseting it. It’s now December 2019 and no longer reset. I called Samsung and they directed me to a repair company who doesn’t return calls. I’m so unhappy with Samsung as I have looked them up on Youtube and blogs where there are so many complaints about the ice maker not just my model but numerous models. There is also a class action suit. I have always purchased their electronics and I have their washer/dryer which I have not had any problems. Do not buy their refrigerator until they fix this problem.

My refrigerator stopped working 10 back. The incompetent engineers could not replace compressor which is under warranty past 10 days. They recorded computer systems with lies to fool the system to avoid create alert on incomplete service request. In my case they falsely written that the refrigerator is repaired as the information is not accessible to customer and however repeated inquiry revealed the secret of their mischief. I am still struggling to get the refrigerator repaired or replaced. You know without refrigerator you cant keep vegetables milk out for 10 days. Beware of Samsung refrigerator and avoid future disappointment. Hopefully it would help at least one more customer that could be you. God bless customer from Samsung.

From the time that it was new the ice maker in this model refrigerator was
From the time that it was new the ice maker in this model refrigerator was awful even when it was not frozen over and the ice making unit was not in need of de-icing. The ice maker was slow and low capacity from day one, but the real defect appeared within 3 weeks after I got my new refrigerator. Ice making had stopped completely and when I removed the compartment it was immediately apparent why this was. The entire rear portion where the cubes feed into the holding area was caked with ice and ice cubes, and freezer frost, with freezer frost creeping out all of the way the front part of where the assembly seats.I called Samsung for assistance or repair and was told to turn off the ice maker and put hot water on the areas that were frozen over. There was no way to effectively do this because of where the ice had caked - way back in the tightest and coldest area. Very unreachable. After great and careful effort I was able to get it cleared and the ice maker working again. Within two weeks the problem repeated and I called again about my brand new refrigerator that was less than 6 weeks old. After explaining the situation and requesting repair I was told to modify the freezer settings along with the same instructions to use hot water to melt the ice. The thought was that the freezer being too cold or too warm might be contributing to the problem. Once again, failure. Another 2+ weeks passed and the ice maker was frozen over again. At this point I just went to Amazon and purchased a good heat gun and established the habit of thoroughly melting the ice and drying the entire area out, then leaving the ice maker off for a few days while checking to make sure that things stayed dry. After this ritual I turn the ice maker back on and now get about 4-5 weeks of use before having to de-ice again. My 21st century ice dispenser has to be maintained in the same manner as a freezer from the 1950s. Because of this I buy bags of cubed ice on a regular basis as a matter of habit. With the exception of the ice maker my Samsung Chefs Series refrigerator is pretty good with nice features and electronics. But given the price I paid for a flagship appliance from a top name manufacturer the overall experience has been a big disappointment. Even more so when Samsung Customer Support is factored in. This is a two-star review all the way.

I purchased the most expensive dishwasher at the store, it was a Samsung DW990044dBA. Over a $1000.00. I bought the best hoping for good results and little hassle. The appliance worked for 4 days only. There was over 4 service calls in 2 months, and lots of correspondence with Samsung, and my dishwasher hasnt worked for much of the two months waiting on service repair times. There were several issues with the top rack sticking, leaking through the door, and breaking down. My countertop has been damaged from steam leaking through the door, my floor has been damaged from leaking on the floor. Samsung wont compensate me at this time and have denied my request for a new dishwasher. Samsung is complicated and confusing to deal with as their departments dont talk or share files. A person needs to be good with a computer, and verbally strong to deal with this company as they require lots of communication, pictures, calls, time and patience. I wish I had never bought this product.

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. The first thing to go was the defrosting fan made from plastic too small to handle the big refrig French doors, that cost me $254.00. The next was the ice maker, another piece of plastic broke, another $254 to get that fixed. Now the refrig is building up ice again which means I will be defrosting my refrig with my hair dryer. I will not purchase a product made by Samsung again. One of the components went in the microwave, I only use it for defrosting and heating water, another wonderful product by Samsung. I understand from the repairman that many parts are being used in many refrigerators. I also own a stove made by Samsung. Im waiting for it to break. When that goes, Ill be buying a product American made.

OTR Samsung Microwave model SMH9207ST - I purchased first microwave in 2012 at Lowes and within the first year the plastic latch on the door handle broke off and the door would not close. Fortunately I was able to replace it at the store with same model. So now after a little over 2 years the panel in bottom right side that has the buttons for light and vent started sticking. After spraying with WD40 they started working again. But last night that ended when all of the buttons just pushed completely in behind the panel. So now it looks bad and I cant turn the vent off or use the light buttons. Like many others, I spent more on this model ($450) because of its stylish looks and because I thought I was getting a quality product... not so!

After 6 months the ice maker would not give whole cubes. This got progressively worse until all I got was crushed ice. Samsung replaced Ice Maker but, again, problem came back. By now refrigerator was out of warranty and Samsung would not do anything! This is probably design defect as so many others have same problem and Samsung cannot correct it. In addition. I also have spot about 3/4 in. long below ice maker where the paint is coming off and, again, Samsung says its cosmetic and not covered. I guess it doesnt bother the company how the product looks and works after theyve made the sale! My recourse is not to buy their products nor recommend them.
