We purchased a Samsung 4 door refrigerator in the fall of 2016. 17 months later the refrigerator stopped working. Repair serviceman gave us estimate of $1100 + to repair and he said there was unknown underlying issue which he could not repair. We phone Samsung and all they would say was it was only guaranteed for one year.

Samsung RS261 - We are on our 5th repair for the Samsung side-by-side with water and ice cube dispenser. The machine has flooded our house 2 times and has had water problems since 4 months into owning it. We have an extended warranty and this is getting old. The fan makes an awful noise, food goes bad. The fans in the back freeze, the water system breaks. We call service, they come order parts, and 3 or 4 days later come back and repair it. Rinse and repeat. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for these POS refrigerators. By the way, how do you rate 0 stars? Im sick and tired of this refrigerator breaking.

After a year, this dishwasher has stopped working. Customer service informed me that it was out of warranty and offered no real troubleshooting help. I was told to unplug the machine for one minute to see if the dishwasher would reset. No it did not. Obviously from the reviews, this is a well-known issue with Samsung dishwashers and unless the problem occurs within a year, you are own your own!!! DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES.

I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I paid almost $ 3,000 for a stainless steel refrigerator for my beautiful new kitchen to then have the ice maker never to work properly since the day I purchased it. It’s the 2015 Samsung four door refrigerator. We have done everything to make it work for us. Finally this month we bought another refrigerator, obviously a different name brand. I called Samsung and informed them of what we had to do and would they at least give us some of our money back and we would buy another Samsung, updated of course. No go! Offered us nothing! Bad business Samsung!

We spent a lot of money for this and it hasnt been what we hoped. Removing the protective film was difficult. There are still small pieces of it wedged in various places after three years. The material at the base of the cup holder scuffed within the first month from merely placing a cup to get water. I have been unable to find anything to cover the scuff so that area looks permanently nasty. No children are in this house so it wasnt rough handling that caused the scuffing. The frost free freezer is not. Ice feathers had grown to where I had to unpack everything, wipe it off with towels, allow the freezer to thaw and remove all ice and water and then repack. At that time, I cleaned all of the seals. For three weeks, the freezer was fine, and now it is as bad as it was before with ice feathers. Whenever I remove something from the freezer, ice chunks fall on the floor. I guess I will have to defrost the frost free freezer again.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS in November of 2010. Within the first couple of months the upper rack vertical adjustment clips broke. On November 2011 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code. A service man was sent out and ended up replacing the sensor level. Within a week the dishwasher started making this loud grinding noise. The noise eventually went away. November 2012 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code again. The sensor level was replaced again. October 28th 2013, dishwasher started 9E faults again. I will either replace the sensor level or buy another dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher.

My fridge works fine so far, but Im getting scared reading the other reviews. Our problem so far has been with the water filter. The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. Believe it or not, the notches on one part of the filter are different from the ones carried by Lowes. So far Samsung has said that the filter from their website, which will cost me more money because of shipping charges, is the one that works. Yeah, well see. They just dont seem to care, either Lowes or Samsung.

The shelves in our fridge keeps breaking. Third one is now cracked. There is nothing out the ordinary on the shelves. Samsung is turning a deaf ear to us even though they know it is a widespread problem. They are backed ordered on shelves over a month. Hmm, back ordered that long and there’s no problem? Samsung needs to step up and take care of this before there’s a class action against them.

The refrigerator I bought from Samsung is dysfunctional. Repairs have been a waste of both my time and money. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Dealing with them is an emotionally draining experience. They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty product. The refrigerator does not keep food cold enough to be safe to eat. The ice maker has been an issue for quite some time leaking water under the crisper draw and onto my hardwood floor. The most recent service technician told me not to eat any food from the fridge. He reported to Samsung from my house and sent them pictures of my damaged floor. He told me to get an estimate to repair my floor which I have sent to Samsung several times. Samsung is ignoring me. I still have a damaged floor and a refrigerator that does not work properly.

I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and an over the stove microwave 3 years ago. They worked great for about 2 years and then the trouble started. My refrigerator stopped cooling completely. I had a service tech come and he told me it was a manufacturers defect but since it was almost 3 years old, I was out of luck. Mind you, he didnt hesitate to try several times to fix it to the cost of over $700 before he suggested I dont put any more money into it. I tried to get him, as a service tech, to contact Samsung to inform them of the mfg. defect but he failed me on that also. The microwave fan went after about 2 years. It did work but was extremely loud. Then the other night (about 4am) I heard a beeping and the microwave was beeping SE. Now it does not work at all. I had to unplug it to get it to stop beeping. Never again on Samsung appliances. Oh yeah, I also have a range I bought which was Samsung and after 1 year with that, I had to have a burner replaced. Im not at all happy, very disappointed.

I recently bought a Samsung refrigerator not because I needed a refrigerator, but because my wife wanted a Samsung refrigerator. Immediately after getting the refrigerator it started making an irritating noise. A serviceman was sent out, after calling Samsung twice. The service man said the refrigerator needed replaced. Fast forward to two months later. Samsung never calls you back. Four times after many calls each time Samsung approved an exchange. Four times someone called - the only calls Samsung made, to inform us the exchange was being cancelled. Really? It seems their plan is to wear you down. Now I am in the process of filing a complaint to the BBC and the state of California. Save yourself a ton of grief. Buy an LG.

The first week, the microwave made terrible noise. Came and installed a new motor. Less than 1 year, refrigerator freezer, condenser broke. Came, but still have problems. Keep trying to clean glass in stove, and was told by a Samsung Technician to unscrew the door, and will be able to clean. Dont do that. Cant get the door back on. LOL! Now, the dishwasher is not working. Told me it was the disposal. Paid money for a plumber, and not the disposal! But, rather the not-working dishwasher. NOW, the washing machine, it doesnt spin. Technician and said, it was the binder. Brought the wrong ones. Supposedly, coming back today to fix. It says, only 200 words, how can I - DONT BUY SAMSUNG.

FTQ307NWGX/XAC Kitchen Range - The range power board blew up with such force that the fuse totally disintegrated and it scored the top of the range. (see pictures) Their tech said that the range was unrepairable given that metal fragments went throughout the range and that it should not be plugged back in. After 4 weeks of delays and games here is a quote from them: Please be advised that the OOP (Office Of President), our exchange team is now outsourcing a replacement of an equivalent model. Sorry for any inconvenience in regards to the issue, but we are trying to expedite the solution. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.Since this email, they have backtracked and withdrawn their offer and decided instead to offer me a $475 refund as a courtesy. I keep trying to remind them that their range BLEW UP and their tech said with us unsafe and should not be plugged in. Before I knew what Had happened and while I was still using the right side of the stove, the stove burned a pot while it read H on the range. The element was off and look at the pictures for what it did. Little wonder that my wife is afraid of the range. I am angry that being elevated to the office of the president has done nothing but add in additional delays and inaction. I am 4 weeks and counting. I have lodged a BBB complaint and I will pursue this elsewhere. How can a company tell you it will replace your range and then go back on its own word?

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldnt come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didnt purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they wont do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesnt stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasnt bought through them. I wont buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldnt stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didnt last more than two years. I am disappointed that I spent $3000+ on an item to have to go through all this and lose so much money!

They refused to have a complimentary diagnosis technician come to my place. I dont think I want to spend any money on a unit that was not top quality in the first place. Buyers be aware. The ice maker is a standard size and tends to produce ice adequately. HOWEVER, BE WARNED that Samsung ice makers are very poor quality. They tend to dispense crushed ice even when you dont want it. They definitely dispense broken bits of cubes constantly. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is well, thats just the way it is, too bad. Its a shame that a $3,000 refrigerator comes with such an inferior ice maker and even a bigger shame that Samsung thinks its okay to sell you a fridge that spits ice in your floor every time you use it. Their customer service department said that if they send a technician out to look at it they will bill me because they dont consider this a defect. Huh?? Be informed before you buy a Samsung product.

We bought Samsung side by around May 2012. It has had several issues beginning almost immediately. The front panel went out twice and during the second time all the food spoiled. The technician had the nerve to say it was our fault because someone had to hold the buttons on the panel for it to go off. When I told him we were sleeping and woke up to this issue, he called us liars. Then a few months later this crappy appliance began making a horrible noise. This time a motor had to be replaced. So for two days we had to defrost it, so no food in our house for 4 days (2 to defrost/ 2 to get cold enough for food). So today, not even 3 years later, a tech came out and said the entire rear panel of the freezer and all components behind it need to be replaced. When is enough, enough? We are so angry they just wont replace this crappy Samsung refrigerator. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!

I purchased model# SMH1816S a little over two years ago and it just died on me yesterday. Of course, Samsung was no help because the warranty has expired on it. I am very angry and dissatisfied with Samsung products because they have proven to be crap -- and have a comically short shelf life. This breakdown comes only two months on the heels of my Samsung range breaking down and having to be serviced. All of my products were purchased at the same time (microwave, fridge, range) -- now I can look forward to having costly repair bills into the unforeseeable future. Im dreading the inevitable breakdown of my refrigerator soon. As expensive as Samsung appliances are, I just expected for them to last a lot longer before needing servicing -- say maybe 5-10 years. My previous Kenmore products lasted over 10 years without needing repairs. I will definitely not be purchasing anymore Samsung products! And their customer service sucks -- they should honor their products for a lot longer than 1 year. Oh yeah... they offered me a Protection Plus plan for $288 -- I can buy a new microwave for that price!

Samsung OTR microwave Model SMH9207st - Wow, where to begin! I believe I bought this microwave in August of 2013. I will explain later why I dont know the exact date. In December of last year I got the dreaded SE code. I called Samsung (after reading all the horrible reviews about my microwave) and told them I was getting the dreaded code. They said since my microwave was over a year old, the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to superiors and went through four of them and they all told me there was nothing they could do. Sooo I threw away the receipt, the owners manual and the mounting screws. He took down the microwave and I told him to take the stupid thing to the dump. Luckily he hadnt done it yet because a couple days later I received an email from Samsung saying that they were going to pay for a one time parts and labor fix.A company called me and set up date and time to come out. The tech came out and noticed that my microwave had scratches in the bottom and said it was a fire hazard and he didnt know if they would fix or not. I have heard online about the glass plate wobbling so maybe that is how it got scratched. They called back and said they ordered a new door and I would have to pay for the coating paint to cover the scratches and also the mounting screws. Tech came out and the door had the wrong connections and wouldnt work. Had to reorder. Came out today, replaced the door in a couple minutes and told me he was through...everything was working...clock, light, etc. As he walked out the door I opened the door and closed it and it DIED! I called him back in and he made a phone call and said he would have to reorder another door! Going on almost three months so far and still no working microwave. Luckily a friend had an OLD $50 microwave that she let me use and it has worked wonderfully! I need to know how to join class action lawsuit. I just want a different microwave! FRUSTRATED!

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in Aug 2013. The soda stream compartment failed in the first 6 months and was replaced under warranty. A year later, the fan in the back of the fridge made loud noises. It was covered with ice so the repairman replaced the entire panel. A year after that, it froze again and the repairman pulled it out and thawed it with a hairdryer. This continued every year. Now that I am in year 5, the main display is now inoperable and beeps continuously. The freezer is 48 degrees and the fridge is at 43. It is not cooling at all. Repairman out today said the main panel needs to be replaced. He got it running, but now the compressor sounds like a helicopter. I would never expect this amount of aggravation from a quality brand. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! We have decided to buy another brand after 5 years. You would think it would have lasted at least 15.Updated on 08/16/2018: I called Samsung on Aug 3 and was told since my fridge was just under 5 years old, the warranty on the electronics (power board) and compressor would be covered. I submitted all the requested information on their website on Aug 6. After almost 2 weeks (freezer at 62 degrees), a Samsung repair tech came out. He said its not covered under warranty. This is ridiculous to spend $3k on a refrigerator only to have it completely die in under 5 years. I will NEVER buy another Samsung. Im so disappointed.

Its barely 4 yrs old and is of course out of warranty (a generous 1 yr!) and has an electronic issue causing it to empty and shut down. No one works on Samsung appliances. Sooo, you have to contact them. My understanding is parts are expensive and not easy to obtain. Who would expect a basically new dishwasher was well cared for to break? Ive got a $20 Mr. Coffee maker thats older than this $650.00 dishwasher that still works. Never. Again.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80F6000UTS in Oct 2013 and had it repaired in Nov 2014 and now again it needs to be repaired in Sept 2015. The smart auto and heavy LED lights are flashing which is the same problem as last Nov 2013. Luckily I paid an extended warranty on the darn thing or I would really be mad about a dishwasher that is not 2 years old yet acting up twice. Its inconvenient and I paid too much for a dishwasher not to last as long as my Whirlpool did (13 years)! I will try to get my purchase price back from Samsung to re-purchase a Whirlpool!

Water is leaking inside the refrigerator and freezing under the produce bins. Then we notice vents on the inside back wall were full of ice. A few weeks we found water on the floor. Then the freezer started frosting and we found ice forming on the outside freezer drawer. We have defrosted it several times and the problem keeps repeating. I see online hundreds of complaints for this. These models should be recalled! Last Samsung product for me!

Ive had my dishwasher approximately 2 years... It occasionally doesnt dispense the soap during a load. Today, I see a huge discoloration in the stainless steel on the front panel, right behind the soap dispenser? The spot is the size of a peach. I tried window cleaner on it, to no avail. I have no clue WHAT caused this. I will be calling PC RICHARDS to complain.... Im sure after 2 years, they will not want to hear it, but something is obviously defective in the door... since it was fine until today.

My glass cooktop on my 5 year old oven range cracked... Theyve since discontinued the part and wont give me any information whatsoever on what other parts are compatible from other models. I contacted them through their live chat, they told me to contact the parts company, after 45min on hold I gave up and emailed them, 12 days of emails back and forth later (takes them a good 2 days to reply to any email) I found out NOTHING, they told me to contact Samsung directly...which is what I did in the first place, complete RUN AROUND. SO disgusted by this company.

My dishwasher started leaking badly. Upon my inspection, the bottom door seal was falling apart/disintegrating. I went to Lowes where I purchased it (this was one month after my 3 year extended warranty had expired) and asked to order the part in order for my plumber to repair it. They could not find the correct part but tried to sell me a part anyway. I knew enough to know that was not a part I needed So, I came back home and called Samsung for help. They referred me to J & J Parts which is their official distributor of Samsung parts. They could not find the individual part I needed. Moreover, they indicated that Samsung built that rubber piece into the door and I would have to buy the door for $254 to solve the problem! I called Samsung back and explained the issue. They didnt seem to care and said I would have to call an official Samsung tech. to come out and fix the problem. So I did that hoping it would cost me much less than $254 and the seal would be repaired. The tech confirmed what J & J Parts said to me on the phone - that I would have to order most of the door piece (over $200) and then the labor cost to add on to that made the estimate to repair at over $400! The Samsung tech visit cost me $97 for nothing that I didnt figure out myself! All this headache for a 22 piece of rubber seal! The bottom line is this: dont buy a Samsung dishwasher (my model #DW80H993), if you did and this happens, dont waste your time and money to try and fix it. I obviously would not spend the $400 for this piece of trash, so I bought a new and different dishwasher with a 5 year warranty.

I bought a fridge on 09/06/2013. This is a double door with ice maker and water on the door. So far I have had to call service for the ice maker 3x, it keeps freezing up. When I called on it, they suggested it needed a new filter - when the fridge needs a new filter it lights up on the panel, not lit. Also the water stream has lessened. Yesterday I noticed the rubber around one of the doors was ripped.

I bought this refrigerator at Best Buy. It was a return/open box, so I was a little concerned going in, but I had no idea what I was in for. For the first 3 weeks, it was great. I loved it. It looks GREAT, especially on the inside with the LED lighting, and the icemaker worked well. Noisy, but they all are. After 3 weeks I noticed water would spurt out the back of the dispenser when I got ice or water, then the next day I noticed my ice cream was soft. The temperature controls still said it was -2, but it obviously wasnt. The next day all the ice was melted. After a runaround at Best Buy, I called Samsung. After a hassle there proving Id just bought the thing, they finally sent someone out to look at it from a local repair shop. The repairman groaned when he saw it and said that most of his calls are for Samsung refrigerators, they break down all the time. He ordered said there was a leak in the coolant line and ordered a dye pack, then came back a couple weeks later to install it, then came back a couple weeks later and looked it over again, ordered another part, then came back and said it was fixed. All was good for 2 weeks, then the freezer went out again. Exact same as it had before. He came back out and said he had to order a couple sensors and a new control board for it. Every visit he made it clear that if we were to just return it and get a different fridge. He wouldnt mind at all that hed ordered the parts for nothing. Hint after hint finally sunk in, and we swapped it out for an LG. When the guys delivered the LG and picked up the Samsung, they laughed at the Samsung and said, Yeah, they have a lot of problems. Especially THAT model. You did right getting the LG. Ive since learned this model has been discontinued, no doubt because of its horrific service record.

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

Once it ran through the cycle I noticed the control panel was not working and the stainless was brown. Called Samsung Galaxy who put me in touch with service quick. After I called and left a message and waited 2 days. Another week for the appointment. The service tech never called to confirm and I waited all day. He arrived and change gedanken out a part but the cosmetic damage was not repaired. He had to call Samsung to get approval. Now he has to come back for another service call. Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

I am not the type to write reviews and complain about products but Samsung has gone beyond my limits with bad products and customer service. I replaced my kitchen appliances with Samsung stainless appliances. My microwave broke and I repaired it once, it was out of warranty and I replaced (less than 2 years old). My oven was heating correctly and now wont heat at all. I looked up the code to troubleshoot (E08) and found it was a common problem with Samsung oven. I called Samsung and was on the phone for 2 hours with no assistance. I contacted Lowes and they were not helpful either. I have an oven that doesnt work- Samsung and Lowes have offered no assistance. I think Samsung believes in purchasing another one. I do not feel like they made a quality product or help consumers to correct issues that were at fault with manufacturer. In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

I bought RF28HDEDBSR Samsung french door refrigerator in Nov 2014 from Home Depot Canada with ESP for 4 years. Come Feb 2017, the refrigerator started making annoying sounds, sometimes for the whole day. I requested a service under ESP with Comerco. Response I got that as long as the sound is not affecting the functionality of the unit, they cant fix it. Within a week or so the fridge stopped working (freezer part was fine). I filed another complaint to Comerco, the technician visited us and said a part needs to be replaced and it would take 1-2 weeks to come as it was back ordered. We were without the fridge for more than 2 weeks. Anyways, within 10 days or so the part was replaced and we were able to use the fridge. Like they say good times never last for long, it happened again. The refrigerator stopped working again in August 2017 (similar to the last time it started with the unit making loud noise). I called up Comerco again, this time I asked them to provide me a permanent solution to the problem. Its been more than a week now when we are without the fridge. According to comerco, it might take another 1-2 weeks to get it fixed as the part is back ordered (as usual). So big NO to the Samsung refrigerators. Problems with Home Depots extended service plan with comerco will be explained in a different review.

I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

We purchased a Samsung fridge 5 years ago. It had issues with the ice maker a few times, which were repaired. Most recently, the fan was making a REALLY loud noise, Samsung came out and we were told there is now corrosion in the plug of the fan and it is not repairable. Upon contacting Samsung we have been told we need to buy a new fridge and they offered us a 20% discount. The fridge is only 5 years old, we paid over $2.5k for it and now have no option to repair it other than to replace it. I wanted to warn others, as we had choices when we were buying and chose Samsung - we are now paying for that decision, literally. Looking online and doing some research Ive now found that there is a class action for THE EXACT SAME THING in the US - the ice maker breaking causing the fan to make a loud noise and eventually stop working. Im in shock that Samsung find it acceptable to tell me to buy a new fridge after only 5 years and only give me a 25% discount... I will never buy another Samsung fridge again and I hope this warns others to do the same. So disappointed. Here is the link to some summary details of the class action: **.

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I bought a Whirlpool fridge 28 years ago. It is still working and so is the ice maker. I should have known better, stick with what works. I will never waste my money on anything that has Samsung on it again.

The worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher MODEL NUMBER DW80J3020UB/AA, from Conns on October 13th, 2015. It was delivered a few day later, the box from the outside looked fine, no damage to report, all is good. Two weeks later when my contractor had the dishwasher installed it leaked water from the front of the unit. After further examination damage was located inside the dishwasher that was creating the leaking issue. I called Conns to report the damage and was notified by the manager that it was a Samsung issue due to it being after 30 days from purchase and they gave me an 800 number to call. So called Samsung to report the damage, they listened to what I had to say and told me that a service technician would need to come and look at and/or possibly repair the dishwasher. Fine, a tech came to the house, looked, took pictures, called and reported back to Samsung while I was listening and this is what he reported. There is damage to the inside of the dishwasher that cant be repaired, the customer could not have seen this damage from the shipping container and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. All was good until a few days later I hadnt heard back from Samsung so I called to ask for an update and possibly get the ra number required to replace my dishwasher. I was notified that the service technician reported back to them the damage was cosmetic and therefore the damage would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. I replied to the lady that the technician had reported something completely different to myself and to them while I was listening. She said that another service company would have to be sent out to resolve the issue. Thats what happened, another company came out and looked at the dishwasher and reported to them that the dishwasher was damaged, could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. The customer could not have seen the damage from the shipping container so therefore needed to be replaced. Waiting, waiting, nothing from Samsung, so I called them again for an update and this is what I was told! The damage to your dishwasher IS NOT covered and will not be replaced due to the technicians report that visited our home. I paid $500.00 plus for a brand new dishwasher that was delivered, unusable and will NOT be replaced. I am not rich, $500.00 dollars is a lot of money that normal people cant just throw away but I guess that is what Conns and Samsung expect. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.

I have had repair man look and thaw it out and it needs a part is what I am told that whirlpool is making. My food freezes one minute then is too warm. My handles on the doors have paint chipping off and you clean it. Looks horrible. Very dissatisfied. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again.

Have 2-year-old Samsung side-by-side refrigerator. Ice maker doesnt make enough ice for 2 people. After a month or two, it dies all together. Have it repaired 4 times. Every repair lasts a month or two. I have 2 Samsungs at work - both of them have ice maker problems too. I had to buy an external ice maker and GIVE UP ON SAMSUNG making ice (the fridge is fine, no complaints with that). I would not buy a Samsung again.

I bought a Samsung stove in 2017. By 2019 the display was flashing all the time. We tried to contact them. No help. Tried again today. Its only a year warranty? $1000 for a stove and its only expected to last a year? This is clearly a manufacturer problem and the stove works but honestly Ill end up having migraines if I have to look at this flashing for another year or 2. Samsung says sorry, not sorry basically. I have a video if I can post it with this review.

We bought the Samsung model #NE59J7650WS from Lowes in spring of 2015. Brand new model they said. Energy saver they said. This is how they save energy. They do not heat up the oven like the digital display says it is. Say we set the oven for 400 degrees. It starts heating up and the digital display on the stove climbs higher, displaying the alleged temperature. It reaches 400 degrees and sings a little song announcing its arrival. However, it is only at 300 degrees according to our thermometer. Food does not cook properly. Display says it is at 400 degrees, but it is only at 300 degrees. If you wait another 20 minutes, it gets up to 400 degrees. Had two different repair companies look at it and they both told me Thats how it works Ridiculous!!

Water is pooling under the deli tray then freezing. This is an ongoing problem. Husband has tried fixing this and cant find an issue. I have found several other reviews that indicate this is a design issue. Of course, my Samsung is out of warranty now. So I cannot get it fixed now that I see it is a real problem. We have bought several refrigerators over the past 5 years and each one has been a waste of money... Did research on Samsung and was supposed to be dependable... Not so! I will probably just buy ice and use coolers in the future, as no one has a dependable product these days.

UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION fo
UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION for freezer not cooling. I actually purchased this model on Jun 14, 2014. Freezer started to fail on July 1, 2019, literally two days after my Lowes 5 year extended warrantee expired on June 29th! Had a Samsung Certified tech come out on July 5th and tell me the problem was the compressor which was working overtime and pulling excessive amps. I took that initial diagnosis and called Samsung Customer Service. They said warrantee expired; I said NOT for the compressor which has 10 years for the part. They were to come out on July 11th to again confirm diagnosis with their own warrantee tech. But, by July 10, 2019, the freezer was at 61 degrees F and the refrigerator was at 34 degrees F. I instead called my original tech and told him that the compressor was no longer working hard to cool the refrigerator and not working at all to cool the freezer. He said that it is likely that the Freon in the coils to the freezer were clogged. And the reason the fridge was still cold is that the separate coil line to the fridge was not clogged. He said it is not likely to be fixed. Would require removing the entire coil line in the freezer section for replacement. You see there is a valve the switches between the freezer and refrigerator coils and sends Freon flowing alternating between the two. Now that the entire freezer line is clogged the switch seems to be selected only for the refrigerator. Only solution is to buy another refrigerator. I canceled the Samsung Service call with this new diagnosis. BTW, I lost about $100 in food, but was smart enough to purchase a small 5 cubic ft. freezer to save the rest. That will hold me over until a brand new fridge is delivered. I’d like to say I’m not going to buy a Samsung, but if you search on “freezer not cooling” you’ll find that all brands may have this problem….and most with NO SOLUTION.July 3, 2019 post. Bought the Samsung model RF323TEDBSR refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer in June 2017. Freezer drawer is now failing evidenced by top layer of food thawed. Set the temp to -8 degrees F and no change. Ive called for repair at my expense because Lowe’s Service Advantage expired only two weeks ago (guess I should have renewed for $600). I now hope not to become one of the hundreds of reviewers here that could not get the freezer repaired even after replacing compressor, computer panel, and sensors. If the coils have failed, then Im toast. Wont know until $90 diagnosis this Friday. Before the repair person shows I plan to pull the back panel, remove power for few minutes, clean the coils and sensor area to see if that fixes the problem. But, I doubt it based on previous posts here.

I bought the refrigerator from Lowes 5/5/09. Lowes delivered six units before finding one with properly spaced doors. The first indication that I might have purchased a defective product became evident when the ice maker malfunctioned. There was a weekly ice jam inside the compartment. If it wasnt cleared, the ice was no longer dispensed. When kept empty the ice maker worked, dumping ice into the door with sound that could only be likened to that heard at a bowling alley. It would cause me to jump out of bed during the night.Soon after the jams appeared, I began to find pieces of white plastic in drinks when the ice dispenser was used. Over a year ago I began to see rust coming through the finish around the water/ice dispenser. I notified Samsung early on when the ice maker was jamming up and was told I needed to schedule an appointment for service. Well, forget that! There is no one who services Samsung where I live. Yes, there is a dealer in a nearby town, but they refused to service what they didnt sell!I was fed up with this unsightly appliance and decided to post my problem on Samsung Appliance USA Facebook page. I received the typical Samsung condescending response, You need to schedule a service call. Read my lips Samsung, there is no service. Ill get rid of this one and try another. I dont recommend buying anything from Samsung just because of the attitude regarding SERVICE! They will not stand behind their product. No, this isnt my first time experiencing a problem with Samsung!

I had a bad experience with one of those Samsung single/double compartment ovens, the spaces are too small. They contained too much moisture when roasting joints of meat, they wouldnt listen to my complaints. It was only until the bottom of the oven went rusty that l got my money back. The condensation from the moisture in the meat, was actually hot steam, so after sealing the meat the steam would then tighten the meat so the only way to get it tender would be to cook low and slow. I might have well just thrown the lamb leg into a pot of boiling water.

I just logged in to see if anything had changed. I purchased the Samsung set electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. This was for our winter home and used only 6 months a year. So other than entertaining these appliances do not get used. After reading these reviews Im feeling very lucky. After two years we are on our second stovetop that has exploded (and not covered by warranty). The top is so bad you can slice your hand open just by cleaning. The stove light stays on hot permanently, the cleaning feature has never worked, the heat is never even and the funniest thing is that the first time I cleaned it with Windex all of the numbers came off the dials. When I called them they agreed to cover it, wasted my time by sending out a repairman who then called me a liar and said I had broken the stove. I have never heard of such unethical handling in my life. I own apartments and have never had this problem with good old American products. And I will never shop at the store I purchased this at because they carried and supported such a horrible product.

The burners are no longer available and the glass top is on at least 25 day backorder. We bought a four appliance package from RC Willey’s. Microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher. Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake
Absolutely the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned and I made the mistake of buying a refrigerator from them twice. First refrigerator had issues with the ice maker the first year. Got that resolved.... maybe? We moved out of that house so who knows what the new owners had to deal with after we left. Bought another Samsung for the new house. Biggest mistake ever. Again, ice maker down in the first year. Had their awful Service Quick service out twice to get that fixed. Then the entire refrigerator dies a year later. Condenser just gives out. Its still under warranty so they try to fix it and fail miserably. Tech burns a whole in my floor while using a blow torch. That nonsense of trying to fix it went on for two weeks. Now they are supposed to fix the floor and bring out a new refrigerator. We are six weeks into this mess and still no refrigerator. Ive been lied to repeatedly about the process and how long it will take. Theyve put information in wrong, further delaying the process. Its completely ridiculous and they never do anything to expedite the service and make it right. Pandemic has been used an excuse multiple times which is total BS since they are essential and never closed and neither has the trucking company. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE.

Bought brand new Samsung electric range in summer 2016. Immediately noticed loud clicks when oven was on, oven makes 6-7 loud clicks per minute. Called Samsung for warranty service. Samsung refused to dispatch a technician unless I agreed to pay for the call BECAUSE its normal! Thats right, making approx 400 loud clicks per hour is NORMAL. This is the worst appliance and service I have ever experienced. Called HD and they said theres nothing we can do. Went to HD store and played them a video I took of my new Samsung range. Every HD employee said thats NOT normal BUT youre stuck with it, theres nothing HD can do! I hate my brand new Samsung range. I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot. I will never buy Samsung again nor an appliance from Home Depot. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed bubbling of the finish on the front with peeling. This includes the left door where the ice maker is located, the drawer and the freezer drawer. The surfaces are raised from the inside out which to me indicates rust. As I began my process to complain I began with Home Depot who informed me my extended warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. From there directly to Samsung who has consistently refused to stand behind their product. Almost telling me it is my fault. Well what about quality of the product and consumer satisfaction? In the business we own, quality is our most important aspect. Without good quality and willingness to stand behind your products you are nothing. No more Samsung for this family. On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail.
