I would rate this refrigerator higher but ice forms behind the cover in back of the inside of the fridge which then stops the fan and then ice builds up and its all downhill from there. I have lost a lot of food. Samsung, as far as I know, has not addressed this problem. The problem seems simple to fix as the heating element in the back where the water freezes is not adequate. About every 4-5 months I have to remove the inside cover and use a blow dryer to melt the ice.

In the four years, since our Samsung refrigerator (Model RF261BEAESR) went out of its ONE YEAR warranty, FOUR of the six plastic door bins have broken, dropping the contents to the floor. We were NOT loading them up with heavy contents. The plastic is/was clearly not up to the task. I have contacted Samsung customer support, and spoken with floor supervisors and managers. They are adamant that Samsung has no responsibility in this matter. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung apparently does not care about its reputation.

Dishwasher never worked right from day one. Does not clean dishes, does not dry dishes and it smells! Tried for 7 months with Lowes to fix it. Finally Had A & E service, which is the service provider SAMSUNG sends, come out. A & E was also horrible. We have been attempting to have unit fixed for 3 1/2 months. 4 no shows and 2 walkaways due to not enough men for the job. After spending over 24 hrs on the phone with SAMSUNG being lied to and given the run around, I thought we had a fix. I was promised a refund confirmed by a manager and to wait 2 more days while the paperwork goes through the system. No call back after the 2 days. Once again - I called them on day 3 only to be told paperwork was filled out wrong. Please wait 2 more days. Again no call back. I called them day 3 only to be told wait 5 more days. When I pressed I was then told sorry NO REFUND, you need to try and have the unit fixed again. Its like Movie GroundHOG DAY - only thing is this is a NIGHTMARE that does not end. Bottom Line is SAMSUNG does not service what they sell nor do they take care of their customer. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

We purchased Samsung washer, dryer, & refrigerator from Lowes on Hilton Head Island. Nothing but trouble. Motor in washer and icemaker in fridge went out. We had to wait 3 weeks to have our washer serviced because they did not have an authorized service person in area. Today we paid $90.00 for a Samsung service person to come from Savannah GA to tell us that we need a $300.00 motor for the icemaker... plus labor... next week! Oh and by the way... Lowes is not carrying Samsung appliances anymore because of problems... go figure!!!

Refrigerator freezer freezes up one block of ice. It quits cooling for the second time. The serviceman came out. The whole back of the freezer was one block of ice. He replaced one small part and said it was fine. Now, it didnt last two weeks. It did the same thing. This refrigerator is 11 months old and still under warranty. I called today and was put on hold for an hour. Finally, I was told the serviceman would come out again. I think I got a lemon.

Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago. Ice maker malfunctioned. Samsung seemed familiar with the problem. The repairman mentioned a design flaw with regard to the small fan. They did quickly repair the problem for hundreds of dollars. It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.

We purchased 6 Samsung appliances for two new units before Christmas of 2015 and took delivery in the beginning of February 2016. It is a brand new house, brand new appliances. When we peel the protective film off the door, a dent was discovered. Call Samsung, they quoted us the 48 hour policy which stated that if there was anything wrong cosmetically with the Fridge, it must be reported within 48 hours. This policy was never communicated to us. If this policy is so important, it should have been communicated to us at time of purchase and again at the point of delivery. The fridge was delivered at the end of the day. The plumber that was to install the fridge was on holiday until a week later, we did not want to peel off the protective film until the fridge is installed and move into the proper location. When the film was peeled off there was a dent on the door which was clearly a factory mishap and there is nothing they will do. Extremely frustrating and disappointing with the whole experience.

We purchased this microwave (SMH1987ST) in July 2010 and never had a problem until a month ago. The microwave would just come on by itself randomly, usually in Baked Potato mode. Only opening the door would shut it off. It was terrifying because I had no confidence in leaving home or sleeping at night with it plugged in. I googled this issue and found common complaints of the same nature on many different forums, a good bit of them here. I then called Samsungs customer service line and got the run-around that it was no longer under warranty and theyd send a tech but it was on me. I then posted on their Facebook page with the issue and was told to call back and ask for the Executive Customer Service team. When I did, I got a little pushback on being put through to them but eventually was. I told the Exec team representative the issue, that they knew about it and that there were over 300 complaints on this website alone. That seemed to get their attention. They sent out a tech last week, he ordered the part and came back today and installed a new control board free of charge. He did say he frequently sees this same issue or the one where people get the dreaded SE message and the microwave panel doesnt work at all. My advice is to be firm and use social media to get their attention. They WILL make it right when pressed to do so. I never would have pursued it further had I not seen other posters say that asking for their Legal Dept. or mentioning the bad reviews got them satisfaction.

We purchased an expensive Samsung Dishwasher model DMT800RHS 2 years ago. The dishwasher has never ever really gotten the dishes clean, even after trying to change the type of dishwasher soap as well as turning up the hot water tank and running hot water prior to starting the dishwasher as was suggested. The dishwasher is being repaired for the 3rd time now to a 5E error message. According to the manual the dishwasher is not able to drain. At a cost of $125.00, three times now I am very disappointed in the product and do not recommend anybody buy this dishwasher.

Two weeks later we are still getting up glass and also have had small slivers in our feet and hands. There is a company tag inside the oven draw that states it was sold in Feb. 2013. The Model number is: JOVO7DDD201222A and the SN NE595ROABSR. The report transaction number is: **. The last one was: **. I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

1st problem: The refrigerator froze in the back and stopped cooling altogether. WE do not have a water attachment to it, thank goodness, because that would probably be even more of a nightmare. 2nd problem: Water leaks right below the vegetable tray. Where the water comes from is unknown. Getting it fixed has been impossible. Samsung does not stand by its products. WE bought this at Home Depot, which offers no support whatsoever. Ive filed a complaint with Home Depot, but no satisfaction. I am sure I will no longer buy anything other than nails and electrical tape at Home Depot from this point forward. Do NOT BUY Samsung. Do not buy major appliances at Home Depot. You will regret it. I have a freezer and an old fridge downstairs that are over 10 years old, not a problem. The Samsung is only 3-4 years old.

We received delivery of our gas range on August 20, 2015, over a week ago. I have only cooked on it three times. Each time I was unable to clean the stainless steel front and stove top. Also, the knobs are very loose and just a small pressure can activate the gas, which I find unacceptable, especially around children. I wish to return this gas range and replace it with another which is not dangerous.

We constructed a new home and purchased a full set of appliances made by Samsung and have had major regret with the decision. We purchased extended warranty and have had to use the services on most of them. We have now had to change to a different manufacturer of dishwasher that the warranty has just ended. Now the fridge door needs to be replaced as the lower shelf mount has broken and the mount is part of the entire door which has all the electronics integrated. The shelf above that one is broken as well. We just called Samsung support to ask for support prior to filing a complaint and they offer none, only a toll free number for parts. As a result of our experience we will never purchase another Samsung product. Completely dissatisfied.

I purchased two Samsung ranges in 2012 for my small cafe. I just wanted them for baking. I know any commercial use would void the warranty, but I believed I would get several good years out of the ovens for a 1200 dollar range. One night that winter 2012/2013 I was sitting at the counter late at night doing bookkeeping. I was baking at about 400-425 degrees, when I heard a loud pop and saw one of the ranges on fire in the rear. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and started putting out the flames when I realized these being electric just pulling the plug would probably solve the problem… I did, and the fire went out (I did have an awful mess of chemicals to clean up). I researched the problem on the internet and found this to be a common problem with Samsung ranges. I was and still am mad. For a large corporation to put such junk for sale, I am incredulous. Ive let the thing sit for almost a year, and am going to finally call someone to give me an estimate to fix, so I can fix or junk. I tell everyone I come in contact with not to buy Samsung anything. The other range is still used never over 350 degrees.

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

I bought the dishwasher for almost $500, embarrassed that I paid that much for such a piece of junk now and thinking I had paid that much did not purchase the extended warranty. My last dishwasher was almost 20 years old when I replaced it and I was thinking I had replaced it with a much higher end model. I did not buy a Bosch or some fancy machine, nor did I buy a cheap model, just something would get the job done for a longtime. At a little less than two years, I start getting low water warnings and it shuts off and wont complete its cycle, this gets worse and worse until I cant get it to run at all. I call Samsung and they tell me it is out of warranty and for $180 they can send someone out to look at the machine but it could cost parts as well. I got it fixed by my usual guy for much less and it worked form last Oct 2013 until this February 2014 and the same low water warning is going off and the machine once again shuts off multiple times before it runs and sometimes it take a day before it will run. This is definitely a defect in design that Samsung will not acknowledge. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. They do no customer service, nor do they acknowledge design defects. Their warranty repair people are limited and charge an outrageous amount, because they are the only game in town just to check out your machine and do not guaranty it will be covered and they are rude and arrogant as they know they are the only ones who cover your area. Just saying will never buy another Samsung appliance nor will I go to best buy as they are the ones who sold it to me, neither stand by their products.

OK, I am a very seasoned mechanic. I put a new bearing set in my pile of crap, front-loader Maytag washer. I can fix anything from a BMW to a microwave. I bought this SAMSUNG at LOWES and right after the warranty, the auto and normal lights blink, it stops mid-cycle and take like six reboots to even get going, and 80 percent of the time, same thing, the lights are back. The drain lines good. It hooked to hot water line. Its just a big pile of crap like every other post here. I will pull it out and start to fix it today. From day one the soap packs hung up. If you dont use a rinse product, it WILL NOT CLEAN DISHES. Its freakin required! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!!! Lucky me, I can fix this crap pile, pull it out, and Craigslist it goes. DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG! I ignored all the bad reviews and now Im writing one. Had our Samsung electric range delivered around 1/15/2016. Cooked dinner the other night and noticed a small chip in the surface of the burner. Called Samsung and the woman said it was not covered by the one year warranty. She claims any chips or cracks in the surface are product damage and whether intentional or unintentional, its not covered. This is a manufacturers defect. Ive been using electric ranges my entire life and never had one crack from normal use. I use this range for 2 months and the surface cracks. No matter how you look at it, this is damage caused by a product defect. Luckily Lowes informed me I can return it. Moving on to another brand and will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

I bought this refrigerator two years ago. Paid almost 4000 for it and its been trouble ever since. First they cant seem to get ice maker to work right so I had to manually defrost monthly. Now for the big issue, this is a dual zone model meaning it has two compressors one for each zone, well the top zone compressor went out. Service man came, ran diagnostics. Sure enough compressor quit. Samsung now says this is a non repairable item. So at this point the fridge is junk. I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

About a year and a half ago I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator (model RF197ACWP/XAA) and the trouble began within the first year. After 6 months of use, the refrigerator started experiencing ice buildup on the evaporator coil, water leaking into the vegetable bins and under them. Ive had multiple Samsung service appointments performed by NISI NJ Inc (an Authorized Service Center of Samsung Electronics). I work full time and I was forced to use my vacation days for the multiple service appointments as the service appointments were only available Mon through Fri 9 till 5pm. Not to mention hundreds of dollars of food thrown out constantly. This multi-hundred dollar unit accordingly is unusable after less than a couple of years. I do not expect a refrigerator to last forever. I do however expect it to last at least more than two years. I recently learned that the company has sold refrigerators since 2005 with multiple defects and thousands of people are experiencing similar issues. I assumed Samsung would stand behind its product. However, after extremely lengthy and unpleasant calls with customer service office, Samsung said it refuses to offer any help as the one year warranty has now expired. The issue began when the unit was still under warranty and the original issue has never been fixed. I find this response unacceptable. I had filled out a formal complaint on April 4th, 2015 and asked to speak to management but Samsung has not done anything.

I usually have to do this about every month. Then, I usually have difficulty getting the ice bucket aligned so I can reinsert it. The owners manual says if it doesnt line up to turn the helix on the back of the bucket 90 degrees and try again. Ive tried repeatedly (and not just 90 degree turns) and havent had any luck. NE58F9500SS - There are streaks between the glass on the oven door. I DID NOT CLEAN THE DOOR WITH ANYTHING BUT A DAMP PAPER TOWEL. Tried to email customer support and the site wont let me select the model. Then I called and waited 10 minutes to talk to someone. When the agent came on line... I told him I purchased this RANGE in August 2014 but did not take delivery until Nov. He said it is no longer in warranty. I explained the problem of streaks in between the glass on the door first he told me that is normal... I disagreed then he told me to put water in the door. THIS AGENT OBVIOUSLY DID NOT HAVE A COMMAND ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!! Lousy customer support... awful warranty (I would think it would be a year from the time I took delivery).

I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. In November, 2011, just before Thanksgiving, the food side quit working, spoiling food and milk. I called Sears for repairs, about 5 times, getting the run around each time. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. Will they cooperate? **, I dont know, well see. I have the letter from the corporate offices requesting the local store to replace my refrigerator.

A few years ago we had a Samsung microwave. We had to have it repaired when it was less than two years old. Repair cost about $200. Within a couple of months, the repair failed. Sorry, we guarantee our repairs for only 30 days. Thanks, Samsung. In December 2013, i.e., about 15 months ago we bought the RF323TEDBSR/AA 30 cu ft refrigerator because it had the size and features we wanted. It stopped working a week ago. Luckily, we have a 25-year old GE in the garage, still going strong. Repairman from Samsung came today. Oh, you have to order a $200 part. When you get the part, well come back and install it. Another $200 or more. Service stinks. Quality stinks.

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in 2009 at Sears. It keeps leaking water under the cool pantry drawer and freezes. I have already paid once to have this fixed. The repair man recommended only to buy Whirlpool made in America; he said Samsung is pure defective junk!

Just before a year of having the Samsung Glass top stove NE595R0ABSR/AA, the enamel in the bottom of the stove started to crack. I didnt notice at first but the cracks were getting larger and showing in different areas of the bottom of the stove. When I purchased my home, I purchased almost all Samsung appliances... After this, I will never buy anything made by Samsung... not even a phone nor TV. Clearly the service rep that came out and agreed that this issue is a defect. I attempted to address the issue with Samsung, but days after sending pictures and receipts, they stated the stove was not under warranty and they would not cover it. To make things worse, I have extended warranty through Asurion (Home Depot warranty) and they stated its something that should be covered by the manufacturer. So, I have a $700 stove where no one want to own up to being the responsible party for coverage.

We purchased a RS277 Samsung refrigerator with french doors. And added a 5 year warranty to be safe. The transaction set us back more than $2,000. Right after the end of the warranty both the refrigerator and freezer parts stopped cooling. I woke up one morning and the temperature was 75 degrees inside the unit resulting in food spoilage. Samsung wants $147 to come and look at it. I see that a lot of reviewers are complaining about the same problem, along with complaints about cheap plastic parts which we have experienced as well. We will not even spend $1 on this appliance. Samsung will not stand behind their products and consider cracked plastic parts user abuse!!! Every previous refrigerator we have owned has lasted at least 10 years. Sad that we have to dispose of a refrigerator that looks like new!!

The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section
The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section is quite common. The drain tube gets iced up. You need to replace the evaporator cover in the refrigerator section. You also need to add a drain probe to carry heat from the defrost heater into the drain tube. Before you can remove the cover, you must defrost ref for 24 hours with doors open, unplugged. To remove rear cover in ref section remove 2 screws along bottom edge and then remove plug in center near top and remove screw under it. Start prying from each side from the bottom. Release 2 plugs at top left. Make sure drain hole in tray under evaporator is clear of ice by pouring hot water down it. Install new probe and install new cover. I think that if you go to searsparts.com and enter your model number you should be able find the correct parts.

Samsung microwave SMH9187B - Microwave goes on for maybe a second, then loses power for a couple of seconds, then gets power again and clock has to be reset, etc. When it shuts itself off, there is an audible click in the control pad, at which time it dies... much like a circuit breaker tripping. The ribbon was stuck to itself and I separated it. Also I have tried cleaning all contacts, etc. and it does not help. Probably 2 years ago I had the control board replaced. Samsung actually covered the cost. Not sure now though. What a piece of garbage!

I have already read several accounts of what has also happened to us - our refrigerator stopped cooling, allowing our food to go bad, which I feel put our family at risk of food-borne illness. We also had to throw all of our food which was substantial. This is clearly not an isolated incident and I feel that Samsung is being very irresponsible. Instead of issuing a recall, which would be the ethical thing to do, they are avoiding helping consumers find any solution at all. I posted my issue on their Facebook page and mine was the only complaint that went unanswered - likely because of the class action suit against them for just this reason. If they help you, they are admitting something was flawed with the design. I contacted them directly and I have not heard back yet. Very disappointed.

Again like many of you who have Samsung french door bottom freezers, mine is now 2 year old and my freezer door will not shut properly because of the accumulation of ice in the bottom floor of freezer. So now in the fall and winter every several months I have to take out the top tray of the freezer and crack the ice behind it, wait till it falls on the floor and then clean it up, then the drawer will close. I have done everything they have told me to try and resolve this problem. Now I guess the next step is to call a repair facility to correct a design flaw of Samsung. The only good thing I will say about this piece of junk is that it is a nice looking microwave. I bought it in April 2016 and have had numerous problems. In November 2017 while using the convection oven the door glass shattered out of nowhere. Before that happened it had shut off completely on three occasions and would turn back on in the morning when it cooled down. I have a Geek Squad warranty so they fixed the door in November and since then the cavity TCO has failed twice and burnt the wires along with it. Before I bought this piece of junk I had a GE Advantium that lasted 15 years without a problem before it died. I guess you get what you pay for with the $400 piece of Samsung garbage. Do yourself a favor if you are reading this and do not buy a Samsung.

Purchased a Samsung Gas Range from Home Depot on June 28, 2015. We had the range approximately 6 weeks and the oven in the range wouldnt heat above 150 degrees. We contacted Samsung and asked for a repair. Service technician came out and replaced the circuit board with what I believe was a refurbished board. Not long after this repair we contacted Home Depot and Samsung to let them know that the oven was still not heating correctly. The oven was not reaching the selected cooking temperature. We told Home Depot and the Samsung Customer service we wanted the oven replaced. Home Depot said we had to deal with Samsung. A service technician from Samsung came out again and told us that the oven is calibrated to reach the temperature that we select. In other words, we had to set the oven temp. to 375 for it to heat to 350?We again complained to Home Depot and Samsung and nothing was done to replace the oven, the oven purchased was an $800 oven. Now the oven will not heat past 150 degrees again. We contacted Samsung and they want us to pay for the repair. I explained that the oven never worked as it should from the beginning. Samsung said, Your warranty is up. I said the oven failed on warranty and never worked correctly from day one. We are experiencing the same problem over and over with the oven. I have contacted Samsung at least 4 times and I am getting a run-around. The case Number/Ref Number is **. It is obvious that the oven was a lemon and should have been replaced. If this oven has failed and never worked correctly this problem will continue. This oven should have been replaced. I have contacted Samsung and they will not offer any assistance. The stove is an inferior product. I wish I would have read the reviews for Samsung Gas Ranges. I would not have purchased.

I have a Samsung dishwasher that was manufactured in 2011 (model number DMT400RHS). It has several physical defects. The lower front cover (part Number AP4342361) caught on the door repeatedly and bent, which requires me to periodically rescrew it to the dishwasher. A prong on my upper dish rack snapped off and is rusting. The dish rack rollers (part Number AP4342187) pop off of the dish rack repeatedly. The biggest problem, however, is that a metal piece of the interior cabinet has partially detached and bent. It prevents the lower dish rack from being pulled out or pushed in without a great deal of effort - particularly if it is weighted with plates. I was told by a Samsung authorized service technician that this problem could not be repaired but that the part was under a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, since I am not the original purchaser of the dishwasher (the previous owners of my home installed it), Samsung will not offer me any compensation or assistance in finding a solution.

We purchased this unit from Lowes and were not happy with the way it cleaned right off the bat. There were water spots on the glasses, food still on the plates. After 6 months of use, the top basket rack adjuster broke. They did send us new ones which lasted another 6 months. We asked for another set and they said it was just out of warranty but they would send them out once more at no charge. Six months later, they broke again! Now, I was getting angry and they say it was a design flaw and we can send you out another set. Six months later they started breaking again! This is an awful product. This past Christmas, an error code came up for leak detected. It ended up being the drain hoses cracking and leaking. Now, my basement floor is destroyed from a 2-year-old dishwasher! After we fixed the drain hoses which was 2 months ago, we have a new code 9E - low water flow. This is caused by the basket adjuster pieces that were broken off and stuck in the hoses. I feel that I should be refunded or receive a new dishwasher. This should have been recalled by now. Im not a happy Samsung customer!

Refrigerator temp is not keeping things cold enough - We purchased a refrigerator (rsg257aars) in Dec 2011. From the beginning, I noticed food smells when I opened the refrigerator door. I adjusted the temp all the way to 34 degrees to see if that would help. Finally, I put a digital thermometer in the fridge to see what temp it registered and it was between 42 and 43 . We put two more thermometers to double check and they also read 43. We called for repair and he told me I cant use analog thermometers to check. I asked him to check himself and he only had a laser one and he warned me that it would register 15 or 20 degrees higher. However, he assured me that my refrigerator was working fine.I called Samsung and told them, I need another repairman; do not send me the same person. On 2/28/12, I was speaking with Steve, who told me he was my personal service advocate and he would make sure he sent someone else and he said it was going to work. So while we were having dinner, the repairman rang the bell and lo and behold, it was the exact same person. This time, my husband spoke to him and tried to explain the problem. The repairman could not figure out the problem. Of course I called for a third time and that repairman called Samsung and between the two of them on the speaker phone, they decided it was the sensor. We had to wait a week for the sensor to be delivered and after the sensor was installed, I asked if he had to check if it worked and he said no, it is working and he left. About a half hour later, when I checked the temp, it hadnt improved. I called Steve and left a message and he never called me. Then a woman left her number to verify if the repair work was done and I called her and there hasnt been a callback.Bottom line is, my refrigerator is not working and my next step is to blog or do a YouTube on how poor the service of Samsung is. I called to speak to a supervisor today and they said there wasnt a supervisor available, so they will request a callback. Something has to be done!

This an update on my trouble getting my Samsung refrigerator fixed. Its been going on for 6 weeks now. Granted we have been out of town for 2 of those weeks. First attempt to fix it was to replace the computer board ($375). This took almost 2 weeks due delay in getting first one that was on backorder and was defective so another had to be order. This didnt work. The repair people came back out and decided that it was the cooling fan BUT the fan is manufactures discontinued, so we have to buy the whole cooling panel of $180. The repair people and Lowes advised that the repair people write a letter stating the problems and what they have had to do and cost of fixing this problem and submit to Samsung for a possible credit for a new one. Fortunately we have the beer and watermelon refrigerator in the garage, which ironically is the one we replace with the high tech Samsung. I only wish I could sue them for forcing me to live with an unhappy wife for this long.

We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2013. In the summer of 2016, the fridge/freezer broke for the first time. Samsung sent out their qualified repair experts who attempted to fix the problem but in the process, caused further harm. They ended up attempting to fix the fridge 7 more times without success. They then determined that it was an entirely new issue requiring us to buy yet another part and pay for labor yet again. Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. We were without a reliable refrigerator/freezer for more than 6 months. Many times we had to throw away all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. We interrupted our work and home-life schedule 8 times to be there for the repair service 4 hour window. We expected Samsung to recognize a faulty refrigerator and offer immediate compensation. This was a bad purchase-- we do not recommend Samsung to anyone. Their customer service is below any standard.

That repair company tech only knew how to take out screws of a cover and had to be on phone being stepped through how to do diagnostics on refrigerator, only to tell me a 2nd time that power circuit board needs replaced and will be another week. The circuit board is obviously is defective and not covered under 5-year warranty by Samsung. I will not buy anymore Samsung products. A few years ago, my highly touted Samsung Flat Screen TV had defective parts and fortunately Costco stood behind the product. No more Samsung TVs either!

The crisper drawers in a $2000.00 Samsung refrigerator are two pieces assembled at factory. There is an overlap of plastic in which food and water gets trap and there is no way to remove the front of the drawer to clean out rotting food and sitting liquids. Customer support confirms this when I called. There is no way to seperate them, there is no way to clean it. No solution. Rotting food and stale liquid must remain trapped. They do not offer any solution or different parts to resolute the problem.

The refrigerator seems great until the evaporator began freezing up at about 15 months. The repair person said this is a common failing with Samsung but we had to fight for months to get the problem resolved with Samsung eventually refunding the full purchase price after claiming it was not a warranty item and me having to read their warranty back to them word for word in order to seek resolution.

We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.

I have Samsung Dishwasher. It was having problems of not completing the wash cycle during warranty period. It took couple of visits for technician to repair the problem. But it was fixed temporarily. After 3-4 months dishwasher has again same problem. Now they are telling warranty is over and they cannot repair under warranty. This is faulty product and have seen many customers complaining about same problem. Hope they had replaced the unit while had the issue during warranty or repaired it properly. Very disappointed with Samsungs customer service???

The rubber gaskets are coming apart as well....This refrigerator cost was over $2000.00. Called customer service and they said TOO BAD out of warranty ....Model # RF267AEBP. I have a 4 year old top of the line Samsung electric cooktop/oven that has always worked great, up until several months ago when it almost blew up. Many others have reported having the main computer board fail/catch fire. Mine was the 2 main oven heating, element wires at the solder connection app heating up, sagging and touched back metal panel. Wires shorted, blowing them off the oven. Luckily breaker tripped, shutting off power to oven, one wire did catch fire briefly. Dont remember what the warranty did cost but the 5 year one is prob worth it on the expensive ones. I looked at the back with the panel off and a thousand dollar unit has the same build quality as the 200 dollar one. **.

In reading recent posts, I realized that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction and anger over my relatively new Samsung refrigerator. First, upon purchase, it took over three months for delivery, despite the fact that I was told it was in stock at the time. After a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Then it started to warm up and then it sounded as if it was ready to explode. Repair service after repair service was called. Its been three months and Samsung is not delivering, not making part to repair. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Buyer beware, proceed with caution!

Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak. My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.

Samsung refrigerator rf217 - Purchased it from Sears along with service contract. Within weeks the veg containers filled with water- have had the repair service here at least 9 times for same issue. Its now near the limit of coverage and the water is still coming into the veg area and icing up. The repair service admits that the Samsung ref is trouble. I will also add that there is a crack in the plastic in the area where the two top doors meet. Can find no cause for this other than poor quality. The issues were the vent blocked so cant breathe. This happened till the entire inside back panel was replaced- build up of frost in freezer told door didnt close properly the- that the ref wasnt balanced enough somewhere. There is a list of excuses. Bottom line Samsung knew of the issue. Just read the booklet that comes with the product and the number of times they mention water build up. Its cheaper for them to rewrite the book than correct the problem.UPDATE ON 05/28/2018: Its near the end of the 5 year service contract - the same problems have never been removed - tipping back replacing fan - wires - back panel etc. The service was here twice this month. Called today. Went through all the repairs for same issue. Sabrina said she would put me on hold then came back. Said she couldnt hear me and hung up -- I called back. Went over everything again with a man this time. He informed me that the tech had to come to repair and if the tech felt it couldnt be fixed then they would replace. Was told I could file a replacement for lost food. I have had it with stalling the ice and water in the veg containers has gone on from the time I bought the thing to present and its still not fixed. Still filling with water ice and rotting the food and now I am told that the tech must attempt to fix the problem before they will replace it. Am fed up with Sears Samsung and the quality of home appliances - doesnt even rate one star. Would rate it a minus if I could so its one star and thats even too much.

I had a new Samsung refrigerator RF220NCTASR delivered July 2, 2014 and it hasnt worked properly from day one. I contacted Home Depot, where I bought it and they advised me I had to deal with Samsung directly. Despite two of Samsungs technician calls and numerous discussions with their Executive Customer Relations (ECR), there is still no resolution today! The refrigerator portion will not get any colder than about 45 deg. F despite the refrigerator being set as cold as it can be (seven blue lights). I have gone as high in their ECR as I can (according to them), with only apologies and broken promises to show. I faxed a letter to Samsung Canadas President on December 1, 2014 but have had no response. Samsung certainly doesnt appear to be capable or willing to resolve this basic warranty issue in a timely fashion.

Holy **! You spend nearly $3,000 on a refrigerator, and 2 months outside of the standard 12-month warranty, the display goes out. 2 months? Really. The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. We purchased our Samsung in August of 2014. We were gone for an extended period of time and the fridge was barely used and was off most of the time after delivery. We returned in mid March and a couple of weeks ago in early April 2015 I placed a double wrapped (plastic and butcher wrap) package of frozen fish on a fridge shelf to thaw for cooking in a couple of days. Two days later, when I went to the fridge there was a terrible odor... fish. I noticed the thawed fish had leaked and spilled all over the shelf and down into the drawer below. I removed it all and cleaned it up and tossed the fish too sickened to cook it. About 4 days or so later I noticed that the odor remained. I recleaned the entire fridge. I noticed that the shelf on which the fish leaked, the one that I had cleaned thoroughly now had a reddish brown stain all along all sides under the tempered glass between the shelf frame and the glass. Ok, I thought, I must remove the glass BUT the glass is sealed into the frame and I could and cannot remove it for proper cleaning. Now, the clear fluid that leaked under the glass has a reddish brown color which indicates to me that bacteria were feasting on the fish juice that spilled from the package. I was alarmed and ran hot water from the faucet directly onto the shelf sides. NO LUCK! I then tried soaking the shelf... one side at a time, in my sink in hot soapy water. STILL NO LUCK. I called Samsung, live chatted with Samsung and submitted emails and called my appliance dealer. We purchased an expensive 5 year warranty for service. I thought they would make this right. All of the shelves, freezer and fridge are sealed. You cannot clean any spilled liquid!!! I even tried inserting a single edged razor blade under the side to let water in but it would not. I asked Samsung for directions on how to clean those sides of the glass. THEY SAID THEY HAD NO SUGGESTION. My appliance dealer also said they could not help. After approximately 8 hours on the phone with Samsung I now have a refrigerator that is a bacteria factory and cannot be cleaned. I am going to report this here and now I am going to search out a class action lawyer who will take this case.I have NEVER owned a fridge that did now allow for cleaning of the glass, or if sealed, did not allow fluid leakage. SAMSUNG HAS A DESIGN FLAW. If you care about your health and the health of your family DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH RELATED ISSUES. Samsung offered to send out a service person. HOWEVER, if this was a cleaning/maintenance issue, I would have to pay for a $55.00 charge. Do not even try going into their self help or request for service by phone or online. Both methods ultimately shift you back into a service request circle of forms that grow more complicated.I spent more than four hours on the link that I was given that would solve my problem. I took the link and filled out all the information, uploaded photos of the problem (bacteria growing) and scanned and uploaded my sales receipt. It then flipped me to a self-help page that one could NEVER escape from until Samsung clocked you out. If you are human, like me, and occasionally spill liquids in the fridge, DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG, IT WOULD BE SAFER TO BUY AN ICE CHEST AND A BAG OF ICE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR SAFE FOOD STORAGE. Thats it, Ill never buy another Samsung product! Now, Im off to find a class action lawyer to make them fix this problem. Ive felt nauseated ever since noticing this reddish brown bacteria. Dont know if it was/is the bacteria I cant remove or the stress that Samsung has caused!

Purchase a Samsung Dishwasher DMT300RFS about 2 years ago. It worked fine for 1 year. We started having issues with it cleaning the dishes and glassware. We tried different detergents and cleaning products with no success. Then it stopped working altogether. The instrument panel codes said that it was a drain pump problem so I replaced the drain pump. It would not start and displayed a new code leak sensor. I took the dishwasher apart again, but did not see any water. I made sure that the sensor was dry and put the machine back together. Still will not work. My last dishwasher was a GE and it lasted about 10 years with no problems. Samsung makes junk, do not buy.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator 16 months ago. It was pricey but it was a smaller refrigerator that fit well in our kitchen, and based on reviews on Consumer Reports thought it was going to be great. First problem is the door handles. Any slight bump of a dish going in the fridge chips off the black paint leaving white marks. Then I started noticing water in the bottom of the bins. After 13 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Of course, the year warranty was up, so I was responsible for the cost. Called Samsung and they said I would hear from a repairperson within 48 hours. After 3 days I called them back and said I hadnt heard from anyone, so they gave me the name of the company to call myself (could have saved time doing that in the first place). Repairman couldnt come for 2 more days. When he did, he said I would have to defrost all the ice that had built up on the back wall of the fridge and that he would order a part. So... 5 more days without a refrigerator. New part works. Then last week, noticed the refrigerator getting warm again, and the freezer had ice crystals all over and the food was rock hard. Put in a thermometer and the fridge was 58 and the freezer was -10. Repairman back out. He was stumped, but called their Samsung expert. He asked if we used the ice maker (no... we have enough problems). Seems the light that says ice off needs to be on, or the freezer works extra hard to make ice (even though there is no water hooked up). Hope this helps someone. So, again we had to defrost the fridge. Its worked now for a week - not sure how long this will last. Samsung needs to admit there is a flaw in their refrigerators and give us some compensation.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing.
