Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP, Serial # JJ054GBZ400358B, and date
Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP, Serial # JJ054GBZ400358B, and date of purchase: 04-30-2010. On 3-21-12 on line chat with Samsung: I am having a problem with the middle vent holes inside of the back of the refrigerator frozen with ice. Also, the bottom of the inside of the refrigerator is full of water. I had the same problem back in September and I defrosted the vent holes with a hair dryer (like the Samsung customer service rep told us to), and we wiped up all the water but now the same thing happened again! Eventually it fills up and leaks on the floor! I had a local repair tech that just became an authorized Samsung dealer but he didnt know what the problem was and he couldnt get through to Samsung. My wife and I are very upset that this is happening since it is only 1-1/2 years old and we spent $1,143.84 to purchase it! It already did cost me $85.00 for the repair guy to come out and he couldnt do anything. Even though the warranty has run out, we dont feel that we should have to pay to have this repaired. Now, it is making loud/soft humming noise and I cant get the temperature inside the refrigerator lower than 53 degrees! Also, I just cleaned out all the water sitting inside the bottom again under the cool select pantry we have to do it once a month! It was going to take a Samsung tech several days before they could come out so I called another local repairman and he came out the next day. He spent a lot of time at my home and did figure out what was wrong. The back panel inside was completely frozen up. He had to order (2) parts and come back and replaced a defective inside heating element and also a new fan motor assembly because it burnt out from trying to run while frozen. His total charges came to $314.82. The repair was made on 04-12-12.Last week, the middle vent holes started freezing up again. I defrosted it with a hair dryer (which is what a Samsung customer service rep told me to do way back when I first started having the problem), but it started freezing up again this week. I am going to call the repairman I had out and discuss it with him. I’m thinking that the refrigerator is either not going into a defrost cycle enough times or the inside heating element isn’t sufficient to do the job or Samsung is selling defective parts. I will let you know what happens and how much more it is going to cost me. This has been a frustrating, ongoing ordeal for both my wife and I. After spending so much money, we expected to not have something like this happen for many years!

I have a Samsung Range that broke down after only 2 months. I set the self clean for 3 hours. After 2 hours, the touch screen died, and the oven door has been locked ever since. I called Samsung for repair service that evening and was told I would be contacted the following morning for a service call either that afternoon or the following day. Neither happened, so I called Samsung back and got the royal run-around of scripted answers. This time I was told the repair person would contact me within 24 business hours to set up a repair time, and that the repair people are very busy. Well that is because Samsung sells inferior products! I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, no answer, so I finally hung up. I went on the website and entered my reference number, only to find out that I am supposedly scheduled for repair on 11/12. That is 9 days after I called for repair! No one has contacted me to confirm this yet. I emailed the service person to request a sooner day, but I do not expect to hear back from them, nor do I expect them to even show up really. If I could throw this range away I would, but it is so new and I cannot afford to replace it. I will NEVER even consider buying anything Samsung during my lifetime again. They do not care about their products or the consumers who buy them. BEWARE!

We bought our Samsung fridge in Dec 2014. In June 2018 we called Samsung 6 times because our ice maker stopped working. Nobody would call us to schedule an appt to come and fix it. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I will be buying a Whirlpool again this weekend. Never again Samsung! They need to stick to making cell phones because they suck at making appliances, and their customer service stinks and reputation sucks!

We purchased Samsung range, model NE595R0ABBB in November 2014. 3.5 years later, its fried. I am never buying another Samsung appliance ever again. We did purchase an extended warranty for it and it underwent a few repairs. The motor for the convection fan kept burning up, and now I am wondering if the latest incident is linked, because I believe the circuit board shorted out after reading about similar incidents online.Last night, I was preheating the oven and before it got to temperature, it shorted. I was in the next room, and I heard a very very loud buzzing sound coming from the kitchen, like something was being electrocuted, and my kitchen lights were flickering. I ran into the kitchen and there was smoke coming out of the oven. Not too much smoke; it didnt trip our smoke alarm. I turned the oven off, and opened the door, and the bottom panel inside the oven was glowing red in the rear left corner. This was probably the most terrifying minute of my life. I am just so grateful that I was able to act quickly and nothing catastrophic happened.I am glad that I was so close by to turn it off quickly; if I had been upstairs or outside, this could have been worse. I am sure it would have caught fire. As soon as we were able to, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. There is no damage to anything outside the oven, though the back panel of the oven looks a little warped. I am not even going to bother getting this repaired; I dont want it in my home anymore. We purchased a GE and are awaiting delivery. Though I wouldnt be surprised if all the wiring is melted and other damage inside resulted from this. Some of my other complaints with this range: I have had oven temperature problems since almost the beginning with this. I am also very disappointed that the paint around the top of the oven door (its plain black, not a special finish) is flaking, and the paint near the stove backsplash where the vents are is flaking, too. The ceramic top has been stained since we first had it; nothing cleans it properly. Even water stains it. The seal around the edge of the ceramic cooktop is eroding. Anything deemed cosmetic is not covered under the warranty.

This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. I called Samsung repair this morning, but since the machine is out of warranty, the only thing they will do is send an authorized repair representative - at my expense. The machine is six years old, so Im not going to pay for even a service call. My old microwave was more than ten years old and still worked when I bought what I thought was a good microwave. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago
We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago from PC Richard & Son. We have replaced the shelves which line the doors at least 6 times. They are of the absolute poorest quality and are usable for barely 6 months before breaking. Samsung has ZERO to say about this, and offers nothing to the consumer in terms of compensation. We have spent over $250 on new shelves. This is apparently quite a common problem as the shelves are back-ordered and we are now living with one empty door. Aside from this, the ice maker is on its 3rd breakdown. This is another common issue with Samsung. There is a video on Youtube about how to try fixing it at home with 100,000 views - as my husband says, its hard to imagine that people are watching this for entertainment. Apparently the ice builds up in the back of the fridge and is then hit by a fan, causing an incredibly loud, constant noise. We have had this repaired twice by PC Richard, the last time was just a couple of weeks ago. Samsung refuses to acknowledge that their product is defective, and offered us parts if we would pay their service department for the repair. Funny that their same defective parts have failed to fix the problem twice already. My refrigerator is now empty while my husband attempts to blow dry the back of it to get the ice to melt. Samsung is producing complete and utter garbage. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung item and intend to warn anyone who wants too.

Fridge is nice looking but makes a lot of noise which they say is normal. I think not. The gadget that closes the french door is already broke on a fridge less than 2 years old. Samsung makes a nice looking refrigerator but quality is not there. Not sure I would ever purchase another one.

While cooking hamburgers on my stove, which was only 10 months old, the stovetop shattered and cracked. When I contacted Samsung they sent a technician out 1 week later. He took a picture and based on the picture, Samsung determined the damage to be consumer neglect and voided the manufacturers warranty. I am so unhappy and disillusioned with Samsung and their complete lack of customer service. Please do not buy Samsung appliances. They are a complete waste of money!!!

We love the microwave when its working properly. Its only 4 years old and has failed three times. Each repair was easy and cheap once diagnosed. 1) Heard beeps during the night. Eventually beeped more often and left the dreaded SE error code. Called Samsung support and they suggested unplugging the unit and plug back in after a few minutes. Effectively they were telling me to reboot it. That didnt work. Found YouTube video with the fix for this problem. The ribbon cable connecting to the touchpad goes over a sharp metal edge frame of the control panel and vibration from fan operation eventually rubs through the cable causing a short. The fix was simple and only took about 20 minutes. I put a piece of electrical tape on the sharp metal edge and voila, no more beeping and no more SE error code. Samsung should have put a piece of slit PVC tubing on the sharp edge and this would never happen. Design problem! Cost to fix = price of two inch strip of electrical tape. 2) Door would not stay closed when shut. Found another YouTube about this. Tiny plastic tang which one end of door latch tension spring attaches to broke off. Replaced it with a tiny #4 sheet metal screw. Took 15 minutes. Cost to fix one small screw already on hand.3) Microwave would not turn on. Online search implied could be faulty door microswitch. Testing with cheap VOM showed which of three microswitches was faulty but suspected the one that no longer clicked and rebounded when activated by finger pressure. Found exact factory replacement online for $5 with free shipping. Took less than a week to arrive. 20 minutes to diagnose and replace. Doubt that many homeowners would have attempted doing all these repairs on their own. Three service calls even with almost no parts cost would more than pay for a new microwave, most likely not Samsung LOL.

I called Samsung customer service to find out what I can do for my stove that displays an error code and will not work. I was told by the rep to unplug it then plug it back in. I did that and it still wouldnt work. I was referred to another department that tried to sell me a service plan for almost $300. That I cannot afford. I cant believe a stove less than 2 years old has this many problems. All I can say is buyers beware. Dont spend your hard earned money on this product if you are not prepared to shell out more money 1+ year later. I had an old stove that was purchased in the 60s that was so reliable. This is a downgrade from that. They should be embarrassed with this inferior product. I hope this review can save someone else from the frustration I feel.

What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.

Samsung 5 burner gas stove cost approx. $700. Love the 5 burners on the stove. The middle burner is great for simmering or keeping something warm. With having 5th burner I can keep gravy warm while preparing the rest of the meal. Also good for boiling water for eggs. It pays to spend a little more on a good quality stove. You don't want to have to buy another one in two years.

DW80F600UTS - Do not buy this dishwasher! I ignored the bad reviews thinking it would be okay... its not! Since day one it has been pathetic at washing dishes. Now barely one year into it, just past warranty, the leak sensor breaks (there is no leak). The dishwasher shuts itself down after a few minutes and the lights blink. I called Samsung several times to troubleshoot and they were no help. Sears repair came out and diagnosed a broken sensor that costs $120 and $145 to install. That is $270 for a practically new dishwasher. Please save your time and money and do not buy a Samsung dishwasher!

I bought a Samsung model RF217 fridge (no ice dispenser) in Aug 2012. A bit noisy but ok for about a year. Then late summer 2013, I see a puddle of H20 just outside the front door. It wasnt huge and I figured I had spilled it myself. Warranty expired next month. Problems got worse. Ice constantly on crisper bottoms. Massive icebergs in freezer compartment. More H20 puddles... more ice. Ensured nothing blocking air. Powered down to force reset. Oy vey. Theres clearly a design flaw as evidenced by all complaints. When is Samsung going to own up and restore its reputation?

This Samsung fridge has a SERIOUS design flaw and Samsung has been aware of it for a long time, per all the blogs, articles and YouTube videos about this problem! Our fridge is 3 mos old and already its doing the symptoms (loud popping/cracking/gurgling noises and water dripping within sealed walls) that our fridge will have this serious problem one day. We do not have a door water/ice dispenser and dont have the bottom ice maker activated. On many Samsung refrigerators, ice builds up on the coils (in sealed section) with the dripping making the buildup a solid, large chunk of ice that eventually BLOCKS the cold air into the fridge and also stops the fan. Samsung tells us the noises are normal but they can send a technician - since this is a design flaw and we dont want the fridge taken apart only to be told to use a hair dryer to defrost that area... We declined the service call. The seller (Lowes) refuses to take the fridge back and substitute a comparable one (cu ft etc) no-cost. The fridge looks nice, has good room and cools (for now) but I dread the day when the fan stops and hope it does not cause a FIRE as a result of the fan blades stopped but the fan motor continuing! If there is a recall or class action measure taken, my email is: **.

I bought a Samsung microwave about a year and half ago. At the time it was a fancy microwave with all the bells and whistles. Great right?! Yea...I thought so too. So after shelling out quite a bit for a microwave, the door actually failed within 1 year. It just randomly came up with an error code and stopped working. Apparently, this was a well known issue with this model and Samsung replaced the door. However, the replacement door is also now under a year of use and the back side of the door is plastic. Well it literally crumbled into pieces. I called Samsung and they told me conveniently the manufacturer warranty is 1 year total and the replacement door is not warranted for an additional year. So since I am 4 months outside of the original warranty (not when the new door was replaced) it would cost $250 at least to fix. Its a practically new microwave and it needs $250 to fix. Samsung does not care about customer service at all. I will no longer support their products. This is not right.

I got the dreaded SE error message and went online because there is no troubleshooting article in the booklet. So I called Samsung... and was told that indeed they are NOT doing that... that I needed to contact the local repair person. On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. I would NEVER buy a Samsung product again!

The ice maker in our refrigerator initially leaked. A repair tech changed the seal to the outer door and suggested not using crushed ice. The ice maker then starting building up a lot of frozen water and the ice cubes jammed when they went to drop. A repair tech applied silicone sealant around the exterior of the ice box. The ice maker continued to jam. A repair tech replaced the electrical board that would help the ice maker defrost and not build up ice. The ice maker then quit making ice cubes. A repair tech said the ice box should be changed. This could not be done because no part number could be made. Another repair tech said the ice maker needed replacement, but he could not remove the ice box because of the sealant. Another repair tech replaced the ice maker by removing one screw and not touching the ice box. The ice maker is making ice but now the ice will not come out of the ice maker. For a $3000 refrigerator this is a terrible ice maker and even worse instructions for repair technicians. Samsung will not stand behind making repairs beyond the first year. The extended warranty company has done everything they can to make it difficult to accomplish repairs.

I really try never to rant on social media but I am mad!?? Samsung stinks!!! We bought all Samsung appliances, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, back in April and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator. Ice maker not working. Water not working but then they started working. Freezer wasn’t freezing at one point and they replaced a part. Fridge not working properly so they replaced a part inside of it and now the ice maker and freezer aren’t working again. Samsung will do nothing. Very irritated. I am having the same problem as Kimberly from California reviewed back in September on the water filter replacement cartridge DA29-00003G for the SAMSUNG French Door Refrigerator. No matter how hard I try to twist the filter, it will not seat into the receptacle even though it is the correct filter listed in my owners manual. The previous filter is an off brand made by HDX as a replacement for Samsung and it worked fine. The only difference between the two is the locking mechanism on the neck as Kimberly illustrated in her pics and I have attached my own pic as well. I have used SAMSUNG replacement filters before and this is the first time experiencing this problem. This engineering problem needs to be remedied immediately before someone ends up breaking their refrigerator and paying hundreds of dollars in replacement parts or even having to buy a new refrigerator! In the meantime I will return my filter to the store and spend my money on the other brands filter. This is a very poor oversight on SAMSUNGs part!

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.

Purchased a new Samsung oven, dishwasher and fridge combo from Best Buy. Within 4 months of owning the oven, used very little, the oven started having serious issues. The oven would take forever to heat up, have to put it on 500 degrees to get it to heat up to 350 degrees. When you opened the door to put anything in the oven it dropped about 200 degrees. Have to wait for it to heat up again. In the middle of baking time, the oven would drop its temperature. Other times it would heat above whatever you place the oven temp on. Went to Best Buy, they had to call Samsung. Was going to be on hold for over a half hour so left and placed the called myself. When I finally got a hold of Samsung, they said they had never heard of anything like this before happening. They sent out a tech. The tech determined the whole motherboard needed replaced. Three weeks later the motherboard arrived and a tech came out and installed. Havent had problems since however for the oven only being a few months old the motherboard should not have failed. The fridge is very loud and the freezer causes freezer burn on everything. I am glad that Samsung had no issues sending someone out to repair it at no charge however they need to look more into what is causing the issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving dinner!

I have a Samsung side by side, four drawer refrigerator bought in July 2013 and have had trouble with the ice maker since then. The ice maker freezes up every couple weeks. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the mechanism. I have problems with the ice getting clogged up and will not dispense. Another problem is that it does not matter which setting the dispenser is on, crushed or cubed I only get crushed ice. I do love the refrigerator with the fourth drawer temperature adjustment. I keep drinks in the drawer and the grandkids do not have to open the doors. Otherwise the refrigerator is just a refrigerator.

I have a 9 year old two door fridge, which when working is a great design. I find it hard to get a repair person to resolve a long-term noise in the fan. I now resort to using my hair-dryer blowing into the vents and this seems to de-ice the fan and hence the noise abates for a few months. Also sometimes the water dispenser decides not to dispense water... ugh! I am frustrated but these items cost a bomb, so I havent replaced it yet.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80K505US last fall. We had the service techs here to check on it as the dishes were coming out with food stuck on them no matter what we did. We did everything the tech said to avoid this problem and it didnt change a thing. Two weeks ago we received the replacement machine that Samsung sent but it has exactly the same problem. As far as we are concerned this is a design flaw. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2011, bought all new appliances, all Samsung, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, on 12/18/2010. There are only the two of us, however I only use it when we have a full load. We rinse our dishes, therefore no smells and I keep it clean. However, it started not finishing the complete normal cycle giving me a s3 code. I had my repairman to look at it ($75). He also had a discussion with online help. We ordered the part ($50). He installed it ($100), still got the same thing and my repairman was told this may not fix it. Then we would have to order a pump, not knowing how much a pump is and $225.00 later and being told this could happen in another 2-4 years. We have bought a new dishwasher, and sure isnt a SAMSUNG. I do expect my appliances to last longer than 4 years.

Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked
Where to begin: the clear plastic fronts of all of the door shelves cracked and fell off. Some door shelves simply fell out and broke as well. The center deli drawer sticks requiring serious pulling to get it open. The hinges for the cover for the deli drawer broke at the pivots which are built into the refrigerator. The cover also fell out and cracked. Our house is not air-conditioned. When the temperature gets into the 80s, the refrigerators control computer does not like that and the control panel blinks on and off, turning on and off all of the functions (upper ice maker, lower ice maker, crushed ice, water) and the temperature control randomly switches as well. The lower ice maker fell off after a few months. Samsung would not help. I engaged a private repair company who indicated that they had seen that happen before. A few weeks after he replaced the ice maker, it broke again. The repair company indicated that they would not/could not guarantee any repairs on the Samsung refrigerator. At this point, there is no lower ice maker at all. Upon several occasions, the upper ice maker flap jammed open. And as other reviewers have mentioned - Samsung customer service is about the worst one could imagine. In all, the terrible experiences that we have had with this refrigerator have given us one clear path forward: NEVER, EVER purchase any Samsung refrigerators!!!

The back fan system broke and they offered to pay for parts so we had a tech come out and for some reason, still not sure why, they said they arent going to pay for it. So we bought a $1600 fridge less than 3 years ago, have spent over $800 in repairs. I will NEVER EVER buy a Samsung fridge again. I say RUN from them cause their refrigerators sure dont RUN. Samsung RB194ACW/XAC - I purchased this stylish, freezer on the bottom, Sam
Samsung RB194ACW/XAC - I purchased this stylish, freezer on the bottom, Samsung refrigerator in mid-2010. After two weeks, the digital temperature display panel on the front was showing errors in the shape of the numbers and some bars of color were missing. The fridge seemed to be operating okay, but a year and 2 days after purchase, the refrigerator portion of the device began to stop cooling. The temperature readings on the front were whacky-looking and the inside of the fridge was clearly warm and foods began to spoil. The fridge was on and running, but there was no cooling effect. This started on Thanksgiving weekend, with a large family meal on. The freezer (on the bottom of the unit) was still working. A call to Samsung Canada was very unsatisfactory. I was told, curtly, that the refrigerator was past its warranty and they would not help me. The warranty was two days expired. I called the store that sold it to me. No help there either. I paid a private appliance repair company $340.00 to have the sensor repaired and a new temperature digital panel installed. It took 2.5 months for the parts to come in and three visits by a repairperson. The first two digital panels arrived in the wrong color. Today, less than two weeks following the repair, the fridge is again not cooling. The digital panel says it is 4 degrees in the fridge, but its very warm in the fridge and food has again begun to go off. The freezer still works. I removed the back protective panel and found the fridge coils completely iced up and the tiny plastic fan that is supposed to move air over the coils is encased in ice and inoperable.I guess Ive been dealt a lemon. I will not have this fridge repaired again. After reading many identical complaints on this and other sites, I realized that Samsung has produced a refrigerator system that has known functional defects - which they continue to market and sell to unsuspecting customers like me. Ignoring customer complaints and providing no follow-up or interest in customer satisfaction is the Samsung way when it comes to their flawed refrigerator design. I will never purchase another Samsung product as a result.

Updated on 06/24/2020: I called a technician to look at the stove. He told me that the repair would be $325.00. That is more than half of what I paid for the stove. I strongly suggest that you leave this piece of work at the store. Calling their service department is close to useless. They are inefficient and the bottom line is that they do not care about their customers. You can tell how much they care when you read the responses that some of the other customers left. I am the one that reported that there was a gas leak from one of the valves.Original review: Please do not buy this stove. I have had the stove for less than 3 years. In that time 2 of the knobs on the stove have broken. I did glue one of them back together and I will probably get the other one done too. On Sunday the gas valves were working fine and on Monday morning one of the valves froze in the on position allowing gas to escape. This is also what caused the second knob to break. I did not notice that there was any gas still escaping, but when I checked again, I noticed that the burner had lit. This could have resulted in my dying if it would have happened at night and if I had gone to sleep. Better safe than sorry, leave this stove at the store. It should not even be there.

Then in Christmas day her refrigerator freezer quit working. We called the extended warranty company. They had a man come out January 6th (12 days after the unit went out) to assess. He ordered the needed part that day. The part didnt come in until January 15th. Needless to say, it still hasnt been repaired... the repairman is scheduled to come on January 20th for repair. They did not offer to rent her a refrigerator freezer during this time. She is on medication that must stay refrigerated. This is unacceptable customer service. I had a terrible experience with Samsung. I ordered a Samsung Fridge and within a year and a half the compressor went out. Samsung at first wanted to fix the compressor, but since there were no techs near where I live, they decided to refund our money. It took an agonizing 2 months of trying to get them to give us our money. One customer service rep laughed at me when I asked what would happen if it took longer to get our refund before our new fridge and she laughed and said, “Mam, it’s not going to take that long.” That was only 1 week into the process. One representative gave me a fake # when I asked to talk to someone higher up. They even made me cut the cord of the fridge and take a picture of it and send it to them. I was without a fridge for 2 months and still no refund. They would tell me someone would be calling and no one would ever call. I called at least twice a week if not more and they would just give me the runaround. But would always say not to get rid of the fridge until we get the refund. We no longer could go any longer without a fridge so we went ahead and ordered a new one - Whirlpool this time. I got my delivery date, so I called Samsung to let them know that our new fridge was coming and they would be taking away our Samsung fridge so I needed to make sure that they had everything they needed before it went. Samsung told me NOT to get rid of it until I got the refund. I asked when will I get my refund? Every week, they would say, within 2-3 days and every week would pass and NO REFUND. Our new fridge came and I immediately called Samsung to see if I could send it with the delivery guy because he would take it away for free. They said no. So now we are stuck with our old fridge with nowhere to take it unless we pay $200 to dump it. Samsung did not care, they said it was not their responsibility. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung again! They have the worst customer service and products.

I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. My Samsung French door 28 cu. ft. refrigerator was purchased in April 2011 from Lowes. It cost $2,800.00; that’s a lot of money. I had a Samsung washer and dryer and a big screen TV that I was happy with, and was not aware of any problems with their refrigerators. The other day, I tried to get ice from the dispenser and no ice came out; just water. I called Samsung and they told me to reset the icemaker. I told them we had ice but none would come out of the dispenser. We cleaned out the old ice, reset the icemaker, and waited 24 hours like they said. The ice maker made ice but none would come out of the dispenser. I called them back, and they said they would send out someone to look at it, but could not tell me how much it would cost. For some reason, I did not purchase an extended warranty; I have it on everything else. About a few days after purchasing fridge, my brother-in-law died and my husband had a heart attack at the funeral so I did not think about the warranty about a week later. I called Lowes trying to get one, and they could not as it was a week later. Then I called Samsung, and they would not give me an extended warranty; so I have none. Now I am left with a $2,800.00 fridge with no ice or pay the high price for a service man to fix it. We are seniors, and you would think that the icemaker would work longer that than 2 years. I have never had an icemaker go out on much cheaper fridges. Sorry, but this sucks.

The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. We have had three (3) separate repairmen come, all arranged by Samsung to assess the same leaking issue. The last repairman to come to our home to assess the problem, took pictures and sent onto Samsung.Samsung contacted us and said the fridge was defective and irreparable. Samsung offered us a depreciated refund of $266.30 and with this; we would have to completely empty the fridge for Samsung to pick up. The fridge cost $1,299 + taxes in 2012 and what was being offered was nowhere close to the cost of a new fridge. Letters and emails were exchanged and Samsung changed their offer to $500 but we would still need to prepare the fridge for Samsung to pick up.We did not accept their offer as we would be without a fridge and the cost of a new fridge was a lot more than what was being offered. Samsung said that was their final offer which is unacceptable. They have admitted the fridge is defective and all we want is a replacement of a similar fridge. Nothing more and nothing less. When purchasing any new appliances or products; they will not be from Samsung. This company does not stand behind their products and their customer service is very lacking.

I have owned my Samsung refrigerator for over 10 years and it still works as good as it did when I first bought it. Initially, I was reluctant to buy the fridge due to the over $2,000.00 price tag; but, I went ahead and bought it. I am so happy that I did; my family and I love it, and if ever comes the time where we have to purchase a new one, Samsung will be the brand we purchase. Samsung forever!

I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I purchased a French Door Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator is dripping water down the inside back wall which pools under the crisper drawers and freezes. The first time I realized this the ice was nearly two inches thick and the drawers were hard to open. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowes because I bought the item there with the extended warranty. Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldnt locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowes manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowes provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isnt something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers. The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

Within 6 months the gas got leaked and I had to pay $4500 again. Within a month, the same problem. In the same amount I could have bought a new fridge with any other company. The customer support people always has to say there is a delay of technician because of heavy call flow. The request has still not been forwarded due to which the technician didnt visit the property. Now again within 30 days the same problem & still I have to pay again the same amount as well as the tech fees of $350. One of the 3rd grade services I have ever seen with this company. Ill never buy any stupid product from of Samsung because its one of the ** company in all products and request you all not to buy anything from this company because they only know how to make money without satisfying the customers need.

I bought my Samsung fridge 5 years ago and it started making horrible noises and then stopped cooling. I called numerous repair companies, 2 stated that they dont work on Samsung/LG and one reported, thats about how long they last. 5 years for a major appliance? Purchase a Samsung Dishwasher DMT300RFS about 2 years ago. It worked fine for 1 year. We started having issues with it cleaning the dishes and glassware. We tried different detergents and cleaning products with no success. Then it stopped working altogether. The instrument panel codes said that it was a drain pump problem so I replaced the drain pump. It would not start and displayed a new code leak sensor. I took the dishwasher apart again, but did not see any water. I made sure that the sensor was dry and put the machine back together. Still will not work. My last dishwasher was a GE and it lasted about 10 years with no problems. Samsung makes junk, do not buy.

If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend a penny on a Samsung dishwasher, its a penny too much, you might as well throw that money in the garbage. I am pro Samsung for many things, we own several Samsung TVs, phones, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, DVD players and I am happy with every one of those products, but the dishwasher is another story. The racking system is horrible, so your dishes dont fit properly, they dont stay in place. We have tried every possible layout and nothing works good. No exaggerating, 90% of the dishes come out dirty, especially the top rack items. Drinking glasses, coffee mugs, etc NEVER EVER come out clean. They always have crumb like substances dried into them, requiring us to then soak the glasses in the sink for a while to try to loosen the residue enough for me to clean them. And dont waste your time writing their customer services, because its a total waste of your time. And yes, we take very good care of our appliances, and clean out the drain, the sprayer, everything they recommend and it doesnt do a stitch of good. My best advice, go with another brand for a dishwasher.

In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This company is a joke. Dont give them your money. Customer service is the worst, and they dont care if the product fails.

I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

Service has been to my parents home January 2, January 9th, January 16th, January 26th, January 29th and scheduled February 4th, 2015. Samsung has been contacted, their response was its out of warranty. My response is a $1200 refrigerator should last longer than 4 years, if not then the construction of the product is defective. Samsungs response - too bad. Dealing with the Executive Customer Service representative was very unwilling to send me to a supervisor, Im still waiting on a call back. Buyer beware. Samsung will not reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for repair of their refrigerator. I purchased a French door Samsung fridge in June 2017. I tried to remove the ice bucket. It was frozen, I called customer service, the fridge was only 3 months old. Samsung sent their appliance tech over to install a new ice bucket. The tech said to unplug the fridge so the ice would melt and he could replace the defective ice bucket. I said, Then the meat & dairy products would spoil. I was told to put it all in the bottom freezer, with dry ice on top. I said, Who will pay for the dry ice. Samsung will reimburse me for the cost of the dry ice. Well that never happened. After numerous phone calls I decided to contact BBB in New Jersey to file a complaint. A rep from Samsung did call after BBB sent them my complaint. Well I got a different story from the Samsung rep. Samsung does not reimburse customers for their out of pocket expenses, even if their fridge is only 3 months old. This is a Billion Dollar Corp. I told the rep and Samsung wont refund me $51.00. KEEP AWAY from Samsung appliances unless you want a pile of problems.

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. May 31st. I call Samsung, they tell me the exchange is finished on their end and I need to contact the local Lowes. Call Lowes, they have not received the RMA (return merchandise authorization). I provide the number and they contact Samsung to request it be sent again. June 1st - Lowes calls, RMA received. They are required to come and pick up the refrigerator, refund it then they can order the new one... I call Samsung, and explain how I am not ok with this, The bottom line is, they don’t care. The angel in this scenario is Jessica (and Dianne) assistant manager at Lowes in Santa Clarita California. That puts me at the 14th of June, almost exactly 1 month from the date of my 2nd repair and the day I get on a plane to go to Europe for 2 weeks. Here’s the Bottom line, Samsung did nothing to make this an easy process and they don’t care. I just stumbled on this site and can see this is a known issue and they have done nothing to fix the problem. During manufacturing or after the units were purchased.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.

I purchased a top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher in August 2013. By September 2014 it started giving me an IE error (heat) code. I had purchased the extended warranty from Leons and they directed me to call their provider Transglobal Service to have a technician come and check out the unit. We had to make an appointment to have someone come and look at the unit... AND take a day off work as they dont make service calls on the weekend. When the technician came a week later, he was at our home for all of 5 minutes and said he had to order a part. (We had told him what the issue was... Why doesnt he have parts to fix this in his vehicle??) It took another 10 days for him to come back and we had to take another day off work to wait all day for someone to show up. From start to finish it took 4 weeks to have the unit fixed... This was right around Thanksgiving. The unit worked for about a month, and we started to see the IE code yet again, just in time for Christmas! We have now been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks again, and the technician is coming today to fix the same problem. I am thankful that there are only two of us at home, and we arent a family of 4 or 5 and this isnt a fridge or stove that has the issue. The level of prompt customer service received is totally unacceptable. It simply doesnt exist. If the unit breaks down again, Im going to start haunting Leons stores and speak with people who want to purchase appliances there and tell them of my experience. So disappointed in this product, but more in the lack of care the service company seems to have for the appliances they supposedly fix. Not happy...

Samsung RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator - July 2014 we noticed that our freezer was not working. No ice and the food was thawing out. I called the service company and they said the soonest I could get someone to come look at it would be September. So I said I have to go without a freezer for 2 months? Well we had no choice and keep a cooler full of ice out on our patio so we could get through the rest of the summer without ice and a freezer. The first repair man arrived in September. He ordered some parts and we were told to call them as soon as the parts arrived and they would send out another repair person to install and repair the freezer. So the parts came in a few weeks, we called the repair service company and had a repair person arrive in another 2 weeks. So it is now October, no freezer and the regular refrigerator part of the unit is acting up. The second repair man shows up but the parts that arrived were not correct. He was able to bypass something so we could keep food cold. But he also ordered other parts and checked the other side of the unit. It also needs parts. So 2 more weeks wait for more parts. It is now December 2014 and the parts arrive, we call in for the third repair person. He arrives, re-checked everything and said that none of the new parts ordered would fix the problem so he ordered more parts. Those parts arrive in January 2015. Still no freezer and our other refrigerator side of this unit is getting worse. We called again for another repair person. The fourth repair person came out and said they did not need the parts that they found a leak in the line. He repaired it. It worked for a few months and then started all over again. A fifth repair person came out but not until April. He checked everything and they had to recharge the unit again. So it worked until June - this is 2015. So we have gone 1 year with it working for a month or maybe two then we start all over again.Anyway they said that in June they could not get back until the first of September. The sixth service person charged it again and it was good until yesterday. Now I have to call again and have them come out again. This has been a 2-year process of an on and off refrigeration unit. Samsung should have given me credit and I should have been able to buy another unit. Instead I am having to basically have someone come to my home every other month to work on this unit. We are totally frustrated and would love to ship this to Samsung so they they can use it as a paperweight because that is about all it can do consistently.
