We got the new refrigerator in April 2015. I immediately noticed the ice cubes came out different sizes and some crushed. Also the cubes are cloudy and have frost. I called Famous Tate in Tampa where we bought it and was told to call Samsung direct. The tech came out and said nothing he could do but apply silicon to seal the ice maker and hope for the best. Well it didnt help and then Famous Tate sent one of their techs and he basically said the same thing. The ice maker is flawed and we will have to live with it. Why? I paid good money for a new refrigerator and it is worse than the old one. I want to trade but so far no help from Famous Tate or Samsung.

I just read all the terrible reviews on Samsung refrigerators and realize I am not alone. After a year my unit started filling up with water and ice in both bins. Upon removing the bins the bottom (under the bins) was covered with water and MOLD! When called, Samsung denied every having issues with their brand. Have had a service man come twice $$$, to no avail. Ive decided Ill keep this lousy refrigerator for a few more months and DUMP it. Its not worth investing another penny! I thought about purchasing an appliance warranty, but I read the reviews and the too were awful! Whats the consumer to do?

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot
Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left. Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurions Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair. Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerators only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the Decembers repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with Januarys repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy! Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesnt count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. Im still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and cant be repaired. This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! I have a horrible feeling that Home Depot or Asurion will make me be stuck with this crappy refrigerator after I spent $2,300 on it!

SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMT610RHS, a year and a half old. CE error, nothing work
SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMT610RHS, a year and a half old. CE error, nothing works. I first called Samsung nearly three (3) WEEKS ago. Technician came twice, no results. I spent COUNTLESS FRUSTRATING HOURS on the phone listening to Samsungs service music on hold. They promised to call, but never did. Exceptionally disorganized and counterproductive service structure. Calling Samsung is useless and a waste of time; calling the service company, downright insulting. They basically get annoyed that youre wasting their time, when you just want to have a status report. At this point, Im looking at an organized action against Samsung such as a class action lawsuit. We, consumers in similar circumstances, should collaborate to achieve a successful result.

Samsung Model RF32FMQDBSR/AA. I purchased the Samsung 4 door refrigerator around 8 months ago. I follow all the instructions regarding the ice maker when I went on vacation. When I got back home again I check my owners manual and follow the instructions with the ice maker. After 24 hours there was no ice make yet. I check the manual again to make sure I did everything I was supposed to do. Once again I waiting and no Ice. After giving it a week and having the Ice maker not making any Ice, I contact Samsung. The lady at the phone ask me for the model number, my phone, and located the account then she proceed to asked me what was the issue. I explained it to her that the Ice maker was not working that I try everything in the manual but it did not work. I also explain that I follow the instructions to removed the Ice bucket, however the bucket wasnt coming out, at all. She ask me some questions about if the Ice light was lit up on the door and if said off the Ice maker wasnt going to make ice. No kidding Sherlock. Im not a moron. I calmly explain to her that after a week of not having Ice I turn it off. No sense on having the feature on if is not working. She then advised me that if it was something they cant fix by phone but they needed to send a repair person then I was going to get charge for the visit. But if the repair person was needed then the visit was free of charge. I was told that a service representative was going to called me within 2 business days. She proceed to gave me the service number reference that I needed to gave the tech (**). As she told me I received a call from the service tech to schedule the appointment. However the service tech was from Oklahoma and Im in Pennsylvania. The tech was sorry for the misunderstanding, it wasnt his fault. I contacted Samsung again and I explain to the male representative the issue with the address and I gave him my reference number. The gentlemen proceed to tell me that my refrigerator didnt have warranty. Wait what happens in 3 days? I explained that it when I spoke with the lady that gave me the reference number my refrigerator had warranty. Well Im not one to argue with customer service representative since they are provided a script on what to said. I told him Just give me the tech number please. He did gave me a service representative from Reading PA. I called them to schedule an appointment and when I gave the lady who answer the phone the reference number. She proceed to tell me I needed to provide for them the receipt of purchased, that the visit was going to be $70 plus labor and parts. I again, didnt want to argue another customer service representative. I make the schedule, however after thinking about it I cancel it. Who knows what they are going to charge me. What happen to the warranty? This refrigerator is Top Samsung Product with a cost of almost 4,000 dollars. If Im going to paid Im choosing who I let in my house. I have Samsung products all over my house since I believed to stick with one company, washer, dryer, phone, microwave on and on and on. I have never contacted Samsung for service. The first time that I need service They give me a hard time, thats not good customer service. Since Im selling my house and moving out of state soon, instead of paying a repair person I will sell ALL my Samsung electronic and start new with another company. Before you spend that much money on a Samsung product make sure they are not going to give you the runaround.

We bought a Samsung Dishwasher at the Sears store in Plymouth, Wisconsin. It only worked for about three months. At first, very well. But after that, it would start and then shut off after about five minutes not washing the dishes at all. We would start it over and over and the same thing would happen, it would make noise as if it was starting the wash cycle, then shut off and the alert would have switched on its own to delicate, which we did not set it to. The soap was always untouched, the dishes never cleaned. We called Sears and they said our computer panel was not operating properly. We had them replace it. The dishwasher worked for maybe a month and has now stopped working again, even after a new computer panel was installed. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I was going to buy a Bosch (which we have had at two other homes and felt it was an outstanding product), but was talked into this crummy one by the saleswoman who assured me it was even better than Bosch. Yeah, right. What a joke. It is pure garbage. I feel absolutely ripped off of 700+ dollars and a lot of aggravation with two lengthy service calls and hours and hours on the phone. I want my money back but feel I have zero recourse. I am so mad we threw good money after a very, very bad product. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER. EVER.

Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

BUYER BEWARE! Heres what Im dealing with right now: We purchased an entire kitchen set from Samsung.com in December as a black Friday special. In March, the dishwasher stopped working. We contacted Samsung via their website and set up a ticket. The day of the appt, the technician didnt show, we contacted them and were told that Samsung cancelled their contract that day due to Covid. No one bothered to call us to let us know. They said we would have to wait until the lockdown had passed. We did. For 3 months. As the state has now reopened, we contacted them to see when we could get the repair. They advised us they no longer had a repair service in the area. We then asked for a replacement, they never actually responded to that despite our insistence of a repair or replace, instead they offered to refund us the amount we paid for the dishwasher. Because of the discount we received for purchasing this is as a set, the amount they are willing to refund is only half the cost of a replacement dishwasher. This would force us to have to pay out an additional $400 after going 3 months without a working product, this is unacceptable. For the first 3 months I was cordial and patient, but this past week has brought out a whole different side. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service, and I do not think it is right that I would have to pay them any more money to get what should have been included in my initial kitchen package. We got their Tuscan Stainless Steel set and it is an exclusive color only to Samsung, we would have no choice but to give them more money or risk losing home resell value for having a mismatched set.

Bought in August 2014 with an extended warranty. Have had electronics replaced. Now it leaks. Samsung does not want to repair the unit but for ME to return it to the store for a credit or get another machine and take it home and install myself. This I cannot do. After 1 1/2 hrs on the phone, 2 representatives of Samsung hanging up on me, I have gotten one of them to agree to honoring the warranty and repairing my dishwasher. The condition is that I have to photograph my receipt and e-mail it to them. Now I have to figure out how to do that.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began
My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began having issues. They would send someone out but it would be 2 weeks. I told them of their health issues, my dad is a heart patient and diabetic and we really needed something pretty quick. I was also told from customer service you should always have a back up refrigerator. I asked, Who could afford two refrigerators, and where would you put two? The tone got worse and then I was just pretty much angered with his non-caring attitude. Not to mention that only very few technicians are certified to do a service call. I called Sears and they generously offered 3 days sooner. Very honest and tried to offer other options to try such as unplugging the unit for 2 days in case it had froze up, before spending money my parents did not have on their fixed income. We were never told to try anything from Samsung, to maybe save the expense to a sick, elderly couple. I was told that the minimum amount would be around $685.00 for the visit. Needless to say, we took his advice to unplug the unit for 2 days then restart. At least Sears tried to offer an alternative for us. Have lost food/beverages twice, still no refrigerator/ice maker, etc. Enough air flowing to not be eligible for warranty for a big part such as compressor, etc. Will probably be replaced ASAP b/c that is more than half the price it cost to begin with. After two weeks, they are living from a dorm size refrigerator and a Yeti cooler for ice. With their customer service, me along with my parents are done with Samsung. Sad to say on reviews on this particular type, they are messing up at about the 13-month mark. There is no excuse for a nice, new refrigerator to tear up with barely over a year of use. Never again! Very frustrated, not to mention the anguish my parents are going through. When you buy something that expensive, you expect it to last a while. I have had my Kenmore side-by-side for almost 20 years so we have learned a lesson. But the main lesson is all about the attitude you give the person on the other end of that phone. Try to be a little sympathetic to an elderly persons situation Samsung! Going to try to find another one after their check comes the first of the month. Another several days.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

This Samsung Ref. RSA1NTIS 19.4 CU FT we bought 9/30/2012 at SM Appliance Center NE-The Block broke down even before it reached 1 year. Defrosting in a day or 2 after its plugged in. It has been out of order since Oct 2013 up to this day. Countless of frozen goods spoiled every time the service technician plugs it & claims the parts are good. Parts replaced, repaired repeatedly, technician even asked us to buy gadget to guard power fluctuations but to no avail. Been servicing the unit for almost 7 months & technicians says its functioning okay. I bought a ref/freezer. But its not freezing even when set to power freeze.Lost track of the countless times we called up the Service Center, Samsung main office & SM Appliance NE-The Block, not to mention my personal appearances to personally lodge my complaints, but until now Samsung Ref. remains a trash. The floodings in our floor after sometime every time it is plugged, the money put to waste for spoiled foods, the days I have to go on leave or the days my nephew have to absent himself from school waiting for the technician to come, the emotional stress this ref. had brought the entire family esp. to me & my husband abroad who had been helping me to call Samsung, these among other things brought nightmare to our otherwise peaceful living. We bought a Samsung RT72SBSM about 2 years ago and it just stopped cooling one day. After checking, the compressor is found busted and they would charge me USD150 for labor and for fixing the gas, which are not under warranty. When I queried Samsung about why their fridge died only after 2 years, instead of apologizing, the Samsung person retorted, we dont know the lifetime of our fridges. They should know. Its their product. They should have some sort of indication that this is a faulty fridge and they are doing what they can to rectify it. Saying they dont know simply takes them away from being accountable to make good products. Samsung is a horrible horrible brand, with absolutely, incredibly lousy customer service. We have had the Samsung Refrigerator Model RF263BEAEWW/AA for about 1 1/2 years now which we purchased from Conns... a.k.a. Cons. This will be the 3rd time that we will have to call the repair service for repair. Because our refrigerator is out of warranty, we are, so to speak, been screwed by the pooch. Conns will not step up to the plate and offer any kind of service or help... Will never go there again, nor recommend that store. (NFM here I come). Nor will Samsung say that there is any problem with this defective product though they have Class Action Lawsuits against them for similar products. Needless to say, we will never step foot into a Conns (Cons) store again, nor buy Samsung if they will not stand behind their product. If anyone has any suggestions or help, it would be appreciated.

Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call. I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge. The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you cant count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... What a deal!!!!!The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Less than 2 years after purchasing our Samsung RF266AEPN refrigerator, the fridge started making VERY loud sounds. Turns out the evaporation coil in the back wall of the fridge had a huge build up of ice due to a poor design. This ice made it impossible for the cooling mechanism to function properly. We spent hours carefully melting the ice away and clearing the coil of ice, and putting everything back together. This has become a twice annual ritual. Now new symptoms have developed that will necessitate spending money to repair this piece of junk.

This wash machine has a wide variety of settings for washing. The bedding and waterproof items setting is very helpful. Without the center cylinder things like this can tangle, but not so in this setting. The spin cycle does a great job. Much less dryer time is needed. The water jet inside the washer is super handy to touch up items with a stain before the load. I wondered if I would use the deep fill water option since my old machine used a lot more water. But I have not felt the need to use it yet, this washer gets clothes nice and clean without all the extra water. I love that it reminds me when it is time to clean the machine. The self clean cycle is great. You will enjoy the little chime that goes off when the load is done. Highly recommend this washer!

Im sorry, its not like me to even write something negative. However, my family has been poisoned because of Samsungs malfunctioning refrigerator. The digital readout is not accurate in displaying the actual temperature of the refrigerator. Bacteria starts to grow on perishables at any temperature above 40 degrees. Upon me serving food, it read 34. This was while it was under-warranty and all you did was pay for the Parts ha. Since then, this refrigerator has not worked by freezing up once a month at least for the long 6 years Ive owned it. I firmly intend on continuing to get word out regarding this as I am a very experienced enterprise digital marketer. Dont worry, Ill keep the audience within the United States. You poisoned my family, put a band-aid on a broken fridge and it never ever worked properly. Nice job Samsung. Maybe, fridges arent your thing. If you drop that product line, Samsung may even see a spike in revenue as many people and families have been poisoned in the same way and the unanimous audience of Samsung Refrigerator owners will all feel relieved.

I bought my fridge about two years ago from Lowes, and, no, I did not get the extended warranty (however, I now understand that is VERY important in order to get service on problems). The last conversation I had with Samsung was that they do NOT have a repairman in the Charleston, SC area!!! In the beginning when the ice maker froze, I contacted Samsung and learned how to reset it over the phone. Being retired, I was very impressed that I could do that rather than having to have a service person come out. After repeated calls to Samsung, on the same issue, they sent a repairman to fix the problem. However, I had to ask why I was having to pay anything since this is a well-known problem with Samsung AND that I am aware of the class action suit against Samsung.Since I am having to reset/defrost every 2 months, I am looking for a different brand. I love the fridge but it is too labor intensive to fix the problem that often. BTW, the repairman told me Samsung does a stop-gap fix and if that doesnt work, they may replace the ice maker. But Samsung says the repair is on me. However, Samsung is digging its heels in and leaves the customer hanging. Guess they have enough customers. But do they have repeat customers. Do they not understand the absolute value of repeat business???? The class action law suit is supposedly going to mediation in June, and hopefully, a resolution will be forthcoming.

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

After weeks of waiting, I called Samsung back only to be told they were doing nothing! This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. Our Samsung microwave is a handsome piece of equipment and when it works, it works well. I wish I had done better research before buying it along with its suite of companion SS appliances. We, too, got the dreaded error code shortly after the warranty expired. Once the 5E error code appeared, nothing we did, unplugging and plugging, or buttons we pushed could get it working again. Luckily, my engineer husband managed to fix the problem since the company is rather less than customer-friendly when dealing with this apparently well-known problem. The fix requires one to remove the inside control panel and wipe off the contacts, which apparently are affected by steam rising from cooking on the range underneath. We have had to do this several times in a row (like twice in one day, then the following week type of thing), but since cleaning the contacts about four months ago, it has not happened again. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but I am extremely disappointed with Samsungs customer service in dealing with this issue. Also, it was my first time buying SS appliances - and it will certainly be the last. I dont know if its just this brand, but I find the finish is way too delicate for our bustling kitchen.

Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.

Unless you enjoy taking your fridge apart for a couple days on a routine basis to remove a back inner panel, defrost the inner workings, and then it all back together again, I do not recommend this product. Weve taken it apart at least six times in the last three years. It is poorly designed. There is a clip that is supposed to help keep an evaporator drain defrosted, but it is too short. The drain freezes up, the ice backs up, goes all throughout the cooling coils, up into the wires and fan--all frozen into one solid block. I finally found a replacement clip that is longer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow--until then I have the fridge. This problem is well documented throughout the internet and this should be fixed by warranty. Its ridiculous and has soured me on Samsung entirely.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake!
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake! Like other consumers, we have had terrible problems with it - problems that are typical and that Samsung does not stand behind. This particular model has an ice maker in the freezer (bottom drawer) and an ice maker in the top (refrigerator door location) where the ice and water are dispensed. The top ice maker freezes up and has to be thawed out constantly and water drips out of the dispenser, itself. This is a common problem and a class action lawsuit has been filed - as Samsung has refused to take responsibility and address the well-known issues! In addition, the plastic shelves crack - for no reason - obviously a defect in the type of plastic that is used in manufacturing the shelves. This is another problem that has been frequently noted by consumers - yet, Samsung refuses to take responsibility. I have many Samsung products in my house - cell phones, televisions, sound bars, etc. I am very disappointed in this refrigerator, and especially in the lack of customer service by Samsung. I will think long and hard before I purchase any other Samsung products. When we first began having the freezing problem, I read on the internet how many others were having the same issue. I contacted Samsung and got nowhere at all. After being tired of constantly having to take a hair dryer and chip away the ice - I called a service to fix it - and they said there really was no fix. I had someone look at it today - and all they could do was what I had been doing - and charged me $80. They did find out that Samsung had managed to develop a fix for the problem and it would cost me between 400 and 600 dollars to do it. The service man and I both agreed that I might as well purchase a new refrigerator. This one is only 3 years old! It began having issues - of course - after the warranty period had ended. Please tell everyone not to buy Samsung appliances!

I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. From the time that it was new the ice maker in this model refrigerator was awful even when it was not frozen over and the ice making unit was not in need of de-icing. The ice maker was slow and low capacity from day one, but the real defect appeared within 3 weeks after I got my new refrigerator. Ice making had stopped completely and when I removed the compartment it was immediately apparent why this was. The entire rear portion where the cubes feed into the holding area was caked with ice and ice cubes, and freezer frost, with freezer frost creeping out all of the way the front part of where the assembly seats.I called Samsung for assistance or repair and was told to turn off the ice maker and put hot water on the areas that were frozen over. There was no way to effectively do this because of where the ice had caked - way back in the tightest and coldest area. Very unreachable. After great and careful effort I was able to get it cleared and the ice maker working again. Within two weeks the problem repeated and I called again about my brand new refrigerator that was less than 6 weeks old. After explaining the situation and requesting repair I was told to modify the freezer settings along with the same instructions to use hot water to melt the ice. The thought was that the freezer being too cold or too warm might be contributing to the problem. Once again, failure. Another 2+ weeks passed and the ice maker was frozen over again. At this point I just went to Amazon and purchased a good heat gun and established the habit of thoroughly melting the ice and drying the entire area out, then leaving the ice maker off for a few days while checking to make sure that things stayed dry. After this ritual I turn the ice maker back on and now get about 4-5 weeks of use before having to de-ice again. My 21st century ice dispenser has to be maintained in the same manner as a freezer from the 1950s. Because of this I buy bags of cubed ice on a regular basis as a matter of habit. With the exception of the ice maker my Samsung Chefs Series refrigerator is pretty good with nice features and electronics. But given the price I paid for a flagship appliance from a top name manufacturer the overall experience has been a big disappointment. Even more so when Samsung Customer Support is factored in. This is a two-star review all the way.

We too bought a Samsung RF266ABRS/XAA - this is a French door, bottom mount fridge in September 2009. Though I have been happy with the design, mechanically this system is problematic. We have consistently had issue with the water pooling/freezing under the deli drawer. The Twin Cooling panel on the inside/rear of the unit was replaced in 2011 and now again in 2013. Our service rep told us the unit has a design flaw in the way it seals. Both times have been out of our pocket though I will be pulling my warranty information as it sounds as though another writer says it MIGHT be covered under a 5 year warranty for the Twin Cooling system. I wont even THINK about another SAMSUNG and will be careful to ascertain if the next brand is manufactured by the same outfit. Oh yes, this time our ice maker went out as well.

This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom
This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. Never encountered that before in any dishwasher. Also sometimes this dishwasher doesnt completely clean dishes, especially if food is dried on, say, between fork tines or on a plate rim. Yuck! Never had that before either. I would never buy this brand again.

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.

We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!

RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. I called Lowes and they said I was out of the store warranty BUT they would sent out a service company. REALLY???!!!??? NEVER AGAIN SAMSUNG!!! Model # SMH2115. Samsung Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS/XAA. As someone else had just posted on this site, I also had the number 1 and the letter E flashing on my refrigerator panel after a power outage when the power came back on. We called the 800# and were told to unplug for 10 minutes and that it would reset. We plugged it back in and it did not fix the problem. I called the 1-800-Samsung number again and was told, Sorry, your 1 year warranty was up in September. So my 1-1/2 year old refrigerator cost me $421.58 to fix. They had to replace the main board. I am outraged that something that I just spent $2800.00 on had now cost me $421.58 in repairs. I will never buy this brand again. I should have bought American made!

I just moved into a new house late last year and it had a fairly new Samsung Over-the-Range Microwave Oven installed. This was working fine for the last few months until one day, it started giving us an SE error on the display and none of the other buttons would work. Initially, this would go off on its own but would then come back and until one day, it came back and just wouldnt go off. We browsed the internet and found that there was a whole sea of people that have reported this issue and turns out that it is a quite common problem. The microwave has just passed its warranty and Samsung now expects us to pay for the service and parts if they fix it. Considering this is a common problem faced by so many people, I think they should do a recall and get these fixed for everyone. The model I have is SMH9207ST. I would not recommend anyone buying these Over-the-Range microwaves from Samsung.

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

Bought a Samsung oven range at Lowes with a rating of 5 stars and had it delivered (I thought it was an extremely great deal at 100 or so dollars below cost). Do not know who is doing the rating? After delivery I followed the directions precisely as my old stove was extremely old and conventional. I turned on the oven as directed and immediately noticed the continual clicking. Like I stated, my old stove was way outdated and thought maybe this was some sort of break in issue. Then the smell was horrible (HORRIBLE). I then opened every window and door and turned on the central air (it was off due to the weather being about 70 or so degrees outside) and put my dogs outside. I did this for hours, about 5 approximately. I then did not feel comfortable cooking with it but went ahead anyways. I put in a pan of buffalo wings. After the cook time I pulled them out and had no intention of eating them due to the ongoing smell, but found them burnt on top and undercooked underneath. I then decided to make a rice dish and turned the left burner on. It got extremely hot and within a minute. I was impressed honestly until I then turned the burner down to 2 to simmer. It stayed extremely hot!!! Glowing red! I then shut the burner off but the surface heat light stayed on and heat was still radiating for at least a half hour after. At this point I was scared of the stove!!! It was no longer clicking but was very hot and lights were still on although all burners had been off for at least 30 minutes. I decided to open the oven door and brought in a box fan and pointed it towards the open door and turned my Air Conditioning down to 68 degrees. I did not even dare to pull the stove out and unplug it as it was still so hot!!! Oven and stove were radiating, and heat surface lights were on although all units were turned off. After an hour or two (left the room) I came back to find the lights off and it still very warm but off. I then called Samsung and never got through! Called Lowes but it was after hours and no results. Now, I then had a family emergency and death in the family. I then tried cooking on the range Friday (got the range on Sunday remember). Long story short I got the same results and saw the 17 pages of Consumer Affairs issues, so I decided to document my issues and take still photos and video. After all this Lowes (my local store) did not hesitate to offer me a replacement stove. I had no problem with that and it was very fair although they would not pull the range from the floor and I demanded they do so! I insisted it was an extreme fire hazard and they did not disagree but did not comply either, so I called corporate. They did not agree either so I told them I would be filing a grievance and possible suit as well as calling the local investigative reporter. It is now a day later and have not been to the store. Again, tired from all this and my family emergency and death. I can only hope these ranges are no longer being sold. I also took still photos and video of the range burning for at least 40 minutes and heat warning lights on without any stove or oven turned on. YES I REPEAT.... THE RANGE WAS BURNING FULLY HOT WITHOUT ANY FEATURE TURNED ON!!! THAT WAS FOR OVER 40 MINUTES! PHOTOS AND VIDEO OF MY RANGE FULLY BURNING WHILE TURNED OFF. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG RANGE!!!

RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TV’s).

We are not AT ALL happy about having to cough up the money again after spending $1600 the first time on what turns out to be a piece of junk that has given us nothing but problems. The last repair person who came out to fix it through our home warranty program (because Samsungs warranty expired the week before we had our first major issue with the appliance) said that he worked almost exclusively on Samsungs because they are what the vast majority of his service calls are about. That was eye opening!
