Purchased 1.5hp split inverter aircon from Emcor Davao City May 5 2018. Unit worked fine for about 5-6 months then started short cycling. Mystic Electronics Service Center Davao was contacted by customer service to be assumed warranty repair provider. Person came out said Lindsey too short so had to pay P6000 To have that fixed. Unit continued to short cycle. Came out again said outdoor motherboard AND compressor overload were both bad...then outdoor blower motor was bad. They replaced all of those items. I have years of AC experience and told the KID that is not the problem. He leaves unit still short cycling so I finally called Manila again and told them MY diagnosis. After further discussion between themselves they agreed to send same KID out to replace the indoor thermistor. The KID damaged my casings on inside unit. Now unit is acting up again with about 3 weeks remaining on warranty. I told them they need to send someone else out as I had banned Mystic from coming inside the property again since he has really no idea what he is doing and no respect for someone elses property....I.e. Indoor portion of the Samsung a.c. NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AIRCON products....unless youre rich and dont mind just throwing your money out the door. Learned my lesson on Samsung. Never again buy their a.c. products.

I bought a Samsung microwave about a year and half ago. At the time it was a fancy microwave with all the bells and whistles. Great right?! Yea...I thought so too. So after shelling out quite a bit for a microwave, the door actually failed within 1 year. It just randomly came up with an error code and stopped working. Apparently, this was a well known issue with this model and Samsung replaced the door. However, the replacement door is also now under a year of use and the back side of the door is plastic. Well it literally crumbled into pieces. I called Samsung and they told me conveniently the manufacturer warranty is 1 year total and the replacement door is not warranted for an additional year. So since I am 4 months outside of the original warranty (not when the new door was replaced) it would cost $250 at least to fix. Its a practically new microwave and it needs $250 to fix. Samsung does not care about customer service at all. I will no longer support their products. This is not right.

1. Purchased Samsung dishwasher (DW80R2031US/AA, SKU: 6336699) from Best Buy, at Reston, VA on 03/06/2020 with paid installation & haul away, installation kit, and gasket bundle. 2. Delivered on 03/10/2020. 3. Leaking problem being identified and fixed by Samsung service on 10/4/2020 with ticket# **. 4. Leaking issue occurred again in late May, 2021. Samsung offered one time accommodation service to cover labor and parts with ticket# **. 5. Technicians from TWO different service centers stopped by and claimed the fix can’t be done. The reason from the first technician was that the kitchen floor needs to be re-modeled in order to pull the dishwasher out. He also stated that it would take him 2 hours to fix the leaking problem and he had no sufficient time to do the work (which makes no sense?). When I mentioned that there was no issue with the kitchen floor during the instillation process and during the first time Samsung came over to fix the leaking issue on 10/4/2020, the technician had no response and left.6. Another technician from a different service center stopped by about one week later and claimed that the damage is not under Samsung’s manufacturer warranty. In addition, he couldn’t explain what the root cause of leaking was. The cost estimate to fix the leaking problem by the second technician was also outrageous. As a customer, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher, used it for about 6 – 7 months, then started having leaking problems. We tried to get this fixed, but the leaking problem occurred again after about 14 months. Samsung then told the customer to contact the technician directly to get problem fixed, all at the customer’s own cost. I have dishwashers made by other manufacturers at my other properties and they still work great. It is worth noting that some of these non-Samsung dishwashers have been working for 15 years.

We purchased a Samsung fridge 5 years ago. It had issues with the ice maker a few times, which were repaired. Most recently, the fan was making a REALLY loud noise, Samsung came out and we were told there is now corrosion in the plug of the fan and it is not repairable. Upon contacting Samsung we have been told we need to buy a new fridge and they offered us a 20% discount. The fridge is only 5 years old, we paid over $2.5k for it and now have no option to repair it other than to replace it. I wanted to warn others, as we had choices when we were buying and chose Samsung - we are now paying for that decision, literally. Looking online and doing some research Ive now found that there is a class action for THE EXACT SAME THING in the US - the ice maker breaking causing the fan to make a loud noise and eventually stop working. Im in shock that Samsung find it acceptable to tell me to buy a new fridge after only 5 years and only give me a 25% discount... I will never buy another Samsung fridge again and I hope this warns others to do the same. So disappointed. Here is the link to some summary details of the class action: **.

Bought the Samsung dishwasher Oct. 2011. Major prob. with some clips breaking off and getting stuck, 2 repair visits. Then stop working again. Next repair person said needs new motor and easier to replace whole dishwasher. Of course, out of warranty time, period. Refuse to purchase anything from Samsung again. At same time, I purchased the fridge and range and now fridge is having issues.

I have had this refrigerator for just under 3 years. I had the ice maker replaced once under warranty, then 6 months later again under warranty after arguing with Samsung for days on end. Now 8 months later it has stopped working again. Now Samsung is so worried that they sent me to a repair company that said it would cost $350. I am going to purchase another ice maker and install it myself for about $150.

We purchased this range 08/2014 after much research and deliberation. The burners are impossible to regulate. First theyre not hot enough, then theyre waaay too hot and your food is burned. Same thing with the oven. You really have to keep an eye on your food. The latest issue came when I used the self cleaning mode. The entire control screen went dark/blank and I couldnt open the door.I called Samsung thinking there must be a quick fix, but NO! They want me to pay for someone to come out and service the appliance even though I did nothing wrong and the product is less than 2 years old!!! Come to find out, others have had similar issues. I am waiting for a supervisor at Samsung to call me back and have also contacted Pacific Sales, where we purchased the product to see if they will stand behind it. I will never purchase another Samsung product, NOR will I recommend one.

When we were hit with the dreaded SE, Samsung finally agreed to fix my microwave even though it was a couple weeks out of warranty. About 6 months later, the microwave completely shut down. After many calls to Samsung, they said they would fix it if it was the SE problem again but we would need to pay the technician if it was anything else. Ive been without a microwave for over 3 months trying to resolve this. Is there a class action suit filed yet?

My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues month
My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues months after I purchased. The panel has been replaced about 4 or 5 times and continued to have issues like beeping for no reason, lights on and off without being touched and going out for weeks and returning back to life after weeks of not working. I have made plenty of phone calls about 40 between Samsung and their technicians with little luck. At times they closed my file just because and i would have to start the process all over again. Since my microwave has completely stopped working in August 2014 they said they would fix and came out 3 times to diagnose the same issue but never fixed it. I was told by tech he was going to order parts and be back to fix, and never did. It was a lie. They called me 3 other times after that because they wanted to diagnose it again. That makes no sense, but they claim that is the process. I complained with BBB, and Samsung now wants the original purchase receipt that I had already showed the technician in 2012. Since I dont have it they want to partially reimburse me for owning it all this time. Whos fault is that? Not mine. If Samsung would have accepted my product was defective from the beginning I would not have owned it for so long. How can the people put an end to this defective product. They should get sued or make them recall their product. I am tired of Samsung and they should be held accountable for selling faulty products.

If you are like me and really like Samsung televisions, dont be foolish and expect the same quality from their kitchen appliances. I purchased an electric range and it is so lacking in every respect. Foremost, the oven burns so hot, every dish burns on the bottom and ALL BAKING is ruined. Its hot temperatures do not correlate to those of the recipes forcing you to remove it ten minutes before the suggested recipe temperature. Even then, the result is a dry brownie or cake... In other words, it overlooks everything. After calling Samsung they threatened me with the fact that if a man comes here and finds it is not a technical problem of the stove, I will be charged. So much for their guarantee and quality. DONT BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES. BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS... They at least know how to bake a brownie like my former stove by Frigidaire. Should have stuck with them. Also the top is horrendous to clean and its hard to read the setting pads.

We purchased a Samsung black stainless steel French door refrigerator 6 months ago. We love the fridge but it was time to change the water filter (water and ice in the door). I just found out I have to SHUT OFF THE WATER SUPPLY TO CHANGE THE FILTER--- MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. I either have to pull the fridge out from the wall (big fridge -- hard to do) or shut the main water valve off at the street. Thats just wrong... What a pain just to change the water filter every 6 months.

Samsung RF263 French Door with bottom freezer - We bought this less than 3
Samsung RF263 French Door with bottom freezer - We bought this less than 3 years ago. The first BRAND NEW fridge we have ever purchased. We got it because it was supposed to be excellent and we were told that Samsung is reliable. Im a teacher who spends extremely long hours at work and my husband travels for his job. We NEED reliable. The first few months, I noticed mold in the door seals. Weird, I thought. It seems like the seals on the doors are not very good, then -- and then the freezer would build up all kinds of horrible frost on the outside AND inside of things. It would do this off and on for no rhyme or reason.... Then, a few weeks ago, everything in the back of the fridge started to freeze. Not a lot, just a little. I checked temps, etc, moved stuff around. My summer vacation just began (this is when teachers actually begin to have semi-normal lives, go on Dr. appts, fix appliances, etc), and we went out of town for the weekend. When we returned early today in order to go to a funeral, I heard the fridge making an odd sound. Opened it up, and the entire back is iced over, just dripping in mini-ice bergs. We empty the whole thing, try to remove the back -- no dice. It wont budge. We use a hairdryer to remove the ice and let it sit while we attend the funeral (freezer is working alright, or at least as okay as it ever was, which isnt so great). We come home and it is not working. At all. I looked online and saw literally DOZENS of complaints, all the same.We are thinking we will just go out and purchase a new fridge -- costs of repair will probably be as much as a new one eventually. Based on reviews, it looks like it would do no good to keep repairing it over and over. This LEMON that we paid a HUGE price for is wasting our time. Im thinking of going back to Craigs list and purchasing a second hand fridge -- they run for years!!!!! Im SO angry!

We purchased this dishwasher ( DMR 77) 4.5 years ago from Leons when we renovated out kitchen. After 6 months the heater went but it was still under warranty. Last week the circuit board died! Our appliance technician informed us it was kaput! Really!! After 4.5 years! We baby our dishwasher and always ensure the dishes are well rinsed before going in and we dont abuse our appliances! My former dishwasher which is a vibrant 15 year old + non-Samsung continues to run beautifully in our neighbors kitchen! Shame on Samsung for making such a poor quality product! Now we will have to further overload out landfills with another poorly constructed appliance! In addition, at the time of our kitchen reno we did also purchase an over the stove microwave which died after 3.5 years! Luckily we did have the extended warranty so it was replaced. But during the install one of the supporting screw brackets fell straight into the microwave. We had to get creative to ensure it was well support but my poor kitchen cabinetry has taken a beating! I will never purchase Samsung again! Buyer beware!!!!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.

I bought a Samsung French Door RFG297 refrigerator in Dec. 2011. It broke down after 2 years. First sign is the ice melted and spilt water all over because the ice melted and then not make any ice anymore after one day; the freezer is not cold anymore. Please read the reviews before you buy a Samsung refrigerator because I really care, and I don’t want it to happen to you. I wish I read all of the reviews about this product before I bought it. I even called customer care if a lot of people make complaints about Samsung refrigerator, and she said no because I told her I saw a hundred complaints about the same problem. Waited a week for service dept to come to assess the problem with my refrigerator. Paid the service dept.$120.00 to tell me yes, its broken. Service came yesterday to tell me everything needs to be replaced. Water is pooling in the crisper, temp. not being held, sensor needs to be replaced, etc., etc... to the tune of 720.00. Now I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to get back to me. The refrigerator model # RF 263AERS was purchased in 2011 and is out of warranty. Cant believe that a refrigerator that cost over $1,000.00 should only last 7 years. Why do I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to talk to me. I have owned one Samsung refrigerator and will never buy another one, except for a boat anchor. I have had trouble with the ice maker ever since we had the refrigerator, it is so terrible. It freezes constantly and the ice will pour out all over the floor. We have hard wood flooring in our home and this refrigerator has made a mess of it. I just want to let Samsung know that their product is a piece of crap and is more expensive than other brands which our friends have. They never have problems like we do. We have had it worked on so many times. We could and should have ditched this thing and bought a new one of some other brand name, but we kept hoping that it could be repaired to work as advertised. There should be some type of liability placed on a manufacture for making such a terrible product. Thanks for nothing.

We bought our french door/bottom freezer refrigerator model # RF20HFENBC in
We bought our french door/bottom freezer refrigerator model # RF20HFENBC in January of 2016. Just after the year warranty, we noticed our produce bins filling with water and the back wall was freezing too. We called Samsung, were told to level the fridge and that would take care of the problem. Well, it was already level, but, hubby releveled it. Within 10 days, the bins were still filling with water! We have read enough online to know that this refrigerator design is a lemon and a defect, so when we called Samsung, they tried to tell us that our warranty was expired, so we would have to pay the $129 service call fee! No way! We told them about the numerous complaints online, and how its the same exact reason, so they need to repair this. They set us up with a local repair shop called Unique Repair, along with a ticket for the service call, and said they would make sure to cover the cost of the service call... We had to wait 2 days to then set up the appt for the service call... When we called Unique Repair, they had NO confirmation of Samsung paying the service call fee! Since this first phone call, we have called Samsung 4 more times. Each time, its all a new introduction. Have to explain the problem, they deny saying they would cover the service call fee. We ask for a Supervisor to get on the phone, and then, are put on hold, and the customer rep comes back and says they will once again, cover the service call expense...Along with this aggravation from Samsung, their one and only repair shop, Unique Repair in the Chicagoland area, is just as bad, if not worse as far as customer service. They never answer their phones, so we are playing phone tag with them for the past 3 weeks too... They also canceled the first ticket without even telling us, while were waiting to hear from them. When we called about this, they tried to blame us, saying they canceled it because they could not reach us to set up the appointment! We are now waiting for yet, a THIRD ticket to be issued, and have demanded another repair place, we will not work with Unique Repair. Last night, a Rep finally said they will call us in 2 days with another repair company, after arguing with the guy for about 20 minutes, and explaining just how bad this repair place is, and that there are a bunch of negative reviews for them online too. Today, we get a call from Unique Repair asking about the new, current ticket!!!Another call was made tonight because of this nonsense, and we were told to expect a call in 1-2 days from Samsung with a different repair place. We do not believe them, and now, are contacting ABT, who sold us this piece of garbage! In our research, we found there are at least 2100 complaints on this design of refrigerators, since 2011. Another post said Samsung was going to recall these models as of last month (January 2017). When we asked Samsung directly about this, they said if the service person finds a part that is in a recall, we will be advised... We believe they string customers along, and lie, and do not follow through on anything they say. They do not seem to care about consumer satisfaction and about substandard refrigerator designs either. Before buying this last January, we researched online and this brand was listed as a good brands... We are so disappointed and aggravated, and will never buy a Samsung product again. We would like to know if there is a class action lawsuit against them and these refrigerators too. We have not been able to use the produce bins, so our family of five has a cramped fridge, and its just not right. For anyone dealing with these issues, you cant be nice, or they will string you along. You need to be very stern and vent your anger and demand repairs or speak to their supervisor. **Also, make sure you keep a log of dates and times you call them, who you spoke to... VERY important if there is a class action lawsuit, etc!!! Post your problems on their facebook page too, but, I believe they have removed every complaint about their refrigerators, because I do not see ONE, only on their electronics. We know there are 2100 on this page alone... I have summarized what I could here. There are more irritating details I did not share because we have a long list of our dates, notes, peoples names we have spoken to.

We bought a refrigerator in June 2012 and it stopped working in November. We used the warranty service and they came out and stated they had to order a part. We already lost $200 worth of food and had to cancel our family Thanksgiving at this point. The part came in on 11/20 and the service company sent us a link to make an appointment. We selected an available appointment on 11/23 and took off work to be there. The service folks (Tech Pro Plus) never came. We looked online and they had changed our appointment to 11/28. After hopeless calls to the service company and Samsung, evidently the service place was closed that day. We went back to the link and scheduled an appointment for 11/26. Again, took work off to be here only to find that they again changed the appointment to 11/28. Samsung stated they have no control over the service company and that is garbage. Any company you use is a reflection on you! So incredibly disappointed and feel like weve been taken advantage of with this warranty service.

My 3 year old over-the-range Samsung microwave displayed an -SE- error while beeping several weeks ago. I unplugged/replugged the oven and all was well. It started doing it again today but would not go away this time after I unplugged/replugged. I cleaned the sensor at the top inside center of the oven with a Q-Tip and 91% Isopropyl alcohol and it is working again. Dont know if its a semi-permanent fix or not since it just happened today. Ive enjoyed using this oven and have had no other issues.

Glass top extremely difficult to clean. After 2 weeks I returned to Lowes where I purchased it to ask if the glass top was made differently. They recommended a certain cleaner. I had a GE glass top for 15 years before this Samsung and it was never this difficult to clean. Then three months later I noticed a very small crack on the glass top. I called Lowes and they only cover for 30 days because I didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung and sent photos but no response. I cant believe the money I paid for this Samsung stove. The top seems to be made differently. The burner areas look like they have rust on them and burn marks. It looks like I never clean the stove but truthfully that seems to be the only thing I do is clean the stove top. I have tried all glass top cleaners and none seem to work. I hate this stove and recommend anyone that wants to buy a samsung NOT to. It looks awful in my kitchen. Samsung and Lowes dont seem to care about it. They think cause there is a small crack that it was my fault. I swear I did not drop or bang on my new stove to make this crack. I am telling you people that are looking for the new double door Samsung electric range, DONT. I am so disappointed with this product.

I purchased an entire suite of gorgeous Samsung stainless steel appliances for a hefty sum of money. The Samsung dishwasher NEVER cleaned the dishes. In fact, the dishes came out dirtier than when they went in. After 5 years of having to hand-wash EVERY glass that came out of there, I purchased Bosch dishwasher. What a difference!! Every dish that I unload is now sparkling clean, literally. As for the rest of my Samsung appliances... The over-the-range microwave touch screen panel went out after only 5 months (covered by warranty). The touchscreen panel went out again after another year, which Samsung refused to warranty it. To repair it would have cost more than to replace it. I replaced it with a different brand. Oh, and the authorized Samsung repairman said to NEVER put a pot of boiling water beneath the touch screen panel. Really? Its an over the range mounted microwave. As for the Samsung range, one burner on the electric, smooth top range completely stopped working after 2 years. I had to have that repaired for a few hundred dollars. As for the Samsung refrigerator, the icemaker went out after only 7 months. They only warranty the icemaker for 5-6 months. That cost me $400 to replace. It went out again 3 years later, and again had to replace it. The freezer door also had to have the hinges replaced after 3 years. So now, I have an entire kitchen of mismatched brands of appliances. STAY AWAY FROM ALL SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. YOU WILL SPEND A FORTUNE REPAIRING THEM.

Bought in April of 2010. The display broke and had to be replaced. Two of the adjustable milk holders had to be replaced. They cracked and filled with moisture. Then this year, it started making loud humming and grinding noises. The Samsung repairman was here twice and said he couldnt open the drain. So water keeps accumulating under the drawer and leaks down on the fans and they hum and grind. It is so loud it wakes us up at night. I cant even have company without having to go outside. OK, when the ice maker drops ice, that may be a little louder. My last refrigerator was a Westinghouse and it was over 13 years old and still worked. Boy did I make a mistake with this one.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher August 2013. From the very start it did not clean well. I have to scrub the dishes and utensils in order for them to come out clean. They could not help me resolve that problem. August 2014, dishwasher would shut off after 2 mins. Had to have the EC Sensor replaced. I did research and found that this is a faulty design that Samsung should address and fix! Samsung has POOR customer service. They do not respond to messages left, by phone. When you do reach an actual person you can figure on spending at least an hour per call and still you will not have had any resolution to your problem. They do not follow up in a timely manner in getting a local repair company dispatched to your home. They do not let you know who they have dispatched and when they are coming to your home. After many hours of dealing with Samsung, on the phone, they would not give us another dishwasher. So we are stuck!! We went ahead and purchased the extended warranty today seeing that we have already had two major issues with this machine in less than a year of owning it. We will be using that warranty quite a lot.

My refrigerator stopped working on 11-19-11. There was a lot of water on the floor and the refrigerator and freezer were both warm. I contacted Sears and was advised that someone would be out on 11-21-11 to repair. That did not happen. I called Sears again and a repair technician came out on 11-22-11. Said he replaced a filter and recharged with coolant. Told me should be cold in a couple of hours. At 4pm, it was still warm. I called Sears again. Repair technician came out on 11-23-11, told me there was a major leak in the cabin part of the refrigerator. He said they would order the part and it would be shipped directly to my home but of course that will not be until next week repair said they would be back on 12-1-11 to repair. I only had this refrigerator for six months. Its the day before Thanksgiving and I have no refrigerator. This is depressing.

Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80K505US last fall. We had the service techs here to check on it as the dishes were coming out with food stuck on them no matter what we did. We did everything the tech said to avoid this problem and it didnt change a thing. Two weeks ago we received the replacement machine that Samsung sent but it has exactly the same problem. As far as we are concerned this is a design flaw. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

The service tech came and didnt do anything, and charged us $115 for the service trip, and told us that we need to pay $287 for the other parts on the microwave which need to be replaced to prevent the Magtron overheating again, and Samsung told us that only Magtron is under warranty. I purchased a Samsung French door stainless steel refrigerator in August 2012, at Best Buy for 2500.00. I have never been so frustrated with any of my appliances as I am with this one. All of my Kenmore appliance lasted 25 years with maybe two repairs. After the first year 4 of the six door trays cracked, and recently the freezer handle broke off when I opened the freezer door. At this point the only thing I like about the refrigerator is the chime that sounds when I leave a door open. Every time I see a Samsung in the store I feel sick knowing that some unsuspecting person may buy one. So far... knock on wood, I have had no problem with the cooling system or ice-maker, but if and when I do I will buy a new one from a trusted brand. This has been the worst choice of an appliance that I ever made. Do not purchase this product and subject yourself to frustration!

Had a brand new (manufactured August 2013) Samsung SMH1816B OTR microwave oven installed on 2013-10-05. As soon as the installer plugged it in for the first time, it immediately turned itself on (magnetron engaged) and nothing except unplugging it would turn it off. Installer was unable to resolve the problem, even with telephone support from Samsung. A replacement will have to be ordered. Meanwhile, we have no microwave. This is my first Samsung product experience of any kind.

I just purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher was broken. It ran, but would not turn off even when I opened the door. I had to turn off circuit breaker. Called Lowes, and they replaced with a new one. They were great about it as I said I did not intend on having to pay my contractor a second time to install it, they completed the installation. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. It smells like garbage. So today I called Lowes and spoke to my salesman. I am NOT going to re-purchase a Samsung. He is going to have his department manager call me tomorrow. Again, I dont want to pay installation, but either way I am so disappointed. So far I am happy with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, but have only had them two weeks.

We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.

I purchased this microwave from Home Depot in Squamish BC, and have not stopped regretting it after numerous and non-stop issues. The power level button has never worked, the magnetron broke, the machine ran continuously without shutting off, it displayed multiple error codes. The sensor pad, key pad and magnetron (everything but the fan and light) were all replaced within the 1st year, costing much more than replacing it and the same issues are still happening now just outside of warranty. I was told I could purchase a extended warranty any time within the 1st year and was not able to after many attempts. After much complaining and pressure, Home Depot did advocate for me to get a new replacement unit but was not successful. This horrible experience could have been far less stressful if not for the inflexible and unreasonable policy of Samsung. The many agents I spoke with were polite and understanding but completely unable to provide reasonable customer service due to the strict, wasteful and outrageous Samsung repair rules policies and guidelines. I am awaiting to hear back from them after another phone call but based on the last year of my experience with this appliance, am not holding my breath. I hope this review saves someone else from this very frustrating experience. There are hundreds of videos on youtube and complaints highlighting the same issues we have had with our machine. These appliances seem to be consistent lemons.

Updated on 05/20/2019: I have already sent a note about them. They sent a technician to fix my refrigerator and he couldn’t. He said he was not trained to repair this product. This was the fourth repair person that has been here to try and fix my refrigerator. None of them could fix it. The dates were 3/2/ 18, 3/16/18, 3/30/18, & 5/18/19. This person states he wasn’t trained to do this type of repair. I was supposed to get an email stating that the events of Sat., 5/18/19 were unsuccessful. From Samsung. No email. I called them and they wanted to send yet a fifth repair person. I feel they’re trying to run the warranty out. I asked them to replace the refrigerator. I also asked is it fraud when you attempt to sell parts to a consumer that they don’t need, in the amount of $349.18. The technician I hired said “I am glad you didn’t buy those parts because you don’t need any of them.Original Review: I have had two of these refrigerators and they both broke in a short period of time. The first one stopped cooling Christmas time, about six or seven months after purchase. I bought it from hhgregg, who was absolutely unprofessional and didn’t know their product. I finally called Samsung after hhgregg gave me the runaround for two months. Samsung said they would have replaced it because the compressor, which went bad has a 10 (ten) year warranty. Hhgregg dissolves my five (5) year warranty to replace the refrigerator. Samsung sent repair people when the second one stopped cooling last Jan. 2018 - it took until March and three different repair persons, and they tried to charge me $350.00 to fix it and it was under warranty, nor did they replace the food I lost, $80.00. I just paid a repair men and found out the part they wanted me to pay for wasn’t needed and my fridge is still under warranty.Theyve finally taken responsibility to do a repair after someone not associated with them told the truth. It’s been leaking Freon for over a year and may need to be replaced but, theyre going to try and fix it. I am so sorry I ever spent $2600 for this item. They absolutely need to go back to the assembly line, and they know it. I would advise anyone who’s looking for a refrigerator to shop for a product that’s made in the U.S.A.

The igniter had to be replaced and with the service call, the total bill was just short of $400.00!!! I am very disappointed with this product. I have had other stoves in other homes and I have never experienced such a poorly made appliance. The customer service representatives at Samsung Canada were completely unhelpful. Samsung slide-in, glass cooktop over oven, Model NE58F9710WS - We have been using the range for approximately one year and are generally satisfied with its performance. However, it poses a SERIOUS FIRE and BURN HAZARD. The burner controls are on the front, only 33 inches above the floor, and are easily and OFTEN turned on simply by brushing against them. If there were children in our household, I would have to replace the Samsung with a safer range. We are very careful to not leave anything on the stovetop. Recently though, I was on my knees cleaning the oven when I felt heat coming from the cooking surface. I had momentarily placed the oven partition there and it was now fused to the cooktop. Unknowingly, I had accidentally bumped a control knob with my shoulder. When I lifted the (smoking) partition, it took a dime-sized divot out of the glass top. I accept responsibility for the damage, but this would not have happened if the controls were not as exposed and so easily activated. Now we must shell out several hundred dollars for a repair! Theres an electronic lock-out for the oven controls, why not something similar for the cooktop?

I remodeled my entire kitchen and wanted the best appliances. Samsung came highly recommended at the time. I purchased the stainless steel refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. I purchased an additional warranty on everything except the microwave because I have had cheap microwaves in the past that last more than 15 years. Who would have known, 16 months later, the microwave would be the first to give me problems. I started receiving this error code SE and the manual states to unplug it and plug it back in. Well, I tried that several times and it did not resolve the issue. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that a service repair person would need to come out. Never once told I would have to pay for someone to come out and check it. When I received my call back, I was told there is a $90+ charge just for someone to come out and if parts are needed, I would have to pay for the parts and repair. I am so frustrated right now for a microwave, not just any microwave but a Samsung microwave to break down after just 16 months. Well, when I asked approximately how much would it cost to repair the microwave, I was told it depends on if they had to order a part and if so, what part. I am sure that this is not the first time anyone received this error code and surely someone from Samsung (the maker) can tell me what the problem is and approximate cost, right? I feel it is very unfair to pay and have someone come out to tell you that it will cost hundreds to repair, potentially paying more than I paid for the microwave. All I want to know is for other repairs related to this error code, what is the approximate cost and I will never refer anyone to purchase a Samsung appliance.

Repair shop calls Samsung to verify. Repair shop calls me back and sets up another appt. for the following Monday. I take the day off because they call and ask if I can do it earlier. Thursday, 2 days later, I get a call to set up an appt. and that it wont be covered because I bought in 2015. What? No! Apologies. Two hours later a message on my phone from repair shop, trying to set up an appt. and its not covered... WTF is going on? Monday comes, guy shows up with a big box of parts. Looks confused. Halfway through, two hours have gone by, tells me he needs to go to the store for a hose? Two hours later he has replaced almost every part in my dishwasher. I can hear it filling with water. He seems pleased and after a four hour repair job leaves after telling me to let it run. I do. After a hour I open it up and I see the same soap that was on the door. I gave up. Husband called, they are coming back Friday... OMG! We spend thousands on all new Samsung kitchen appliances and I am scared to death. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem. Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this companys products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator; model RFG293HAWP/XAA, in November of 2011. The wide open cool select pantry draw opened and closed properly for a few months and now it jams on a regular basis. When I called service, they told me I was overloading the draw and not balancing the contents properly. Why design a large draw that you are supposed to leave half empty? And why did it not have a warning sign displayed in the showroom model with the above instructions? I certainly would not have purchased the product if I was correctly informed. Customer Service left me with an Oh well, live with it reply.

My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.

I purchased a Samsung fridge March 2013 from the brick with stove, and dishwasher for our new home. Within the first 6 months we started to notice water in the crisper - just one side... OK someone spilled something? That went on for a few more months and we started wondering what/why? Went online and was told to contact Samsung, there was a fix to our problem. I called, they sent repair person here Feb 13 2015. Within 3 months it started again called right away. They sent the same part for a new repair - which was the entire BACK of the fridge - this time will do it! That was June 30/15 and we have been calling Samsung now for a few weeks as it started again? When do they come clean and give me a new fridge? This is obviously unfixable and a malfunction of this fridge - what can I do? So far all my calls say sorry already fixed 2x, no more for you??? Not good!!! I have a basic 2 door model - no ice maker, no water, just a fridge with freezer on the bottom. I need help - willing to repair but will it really work this time? Do I spend the money or toss this fridge and refuse to EVER buy Samsung again?

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher in March of 2014. It is now Sept 2015 and the dishwasher has broken down 6 times (7 counting the fact that it is currently not working). Weve been in contact with Samsung multiple times. Was told to fax all receipts of repairs and orig receipt of purchase. We did that only to be told there was nothing they could do. We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. We feel that Samsung company should have replaced this appliance, but they kept saying it had to break down with the same issue 3 times in a certain period of time before they would replace. The issues were sometimes different. We would never purchase another Samsung dishwasher - or any Samsung product.

OK, I am a very seasoned mechanic. I put a new bearing set in my pile of crap, front-loader Maytag washer. I can fix anything from a BMW to a microwave. I bought this SAMSUNG at LOWES and right after the warranty, the auto and normal lights blink, it stops mid-cycle and take like six reboots to even get going, and 80 percent of the time, same thing, the lights are back. The drain lines good. It hooked to hot water line. Its just a big pile of crap like every other post here. I will pull it out and start to fix it today. From day one the soap packs hung up. If you dont use a rinse product, it WILL NOT CLEAN DISHES. Its freakin required! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!!! Lucky me, I can fix this crap pile, pull it out, and Craigslist it goes. I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

A letter to Samsung went unanswered. They did send a warranty extension e-mail since I received as they said such great service for my problem. I sent it back asking where the great service was and no answer. We still have the same problem. As of now my gas grill burner boils water better than this Samsung range. Will not buy any Samsung product again. Should have gotten our first choice of GE but liked the looks of the Samsung range a little better. So much for appearances over quality. Purchased the Samsung refrigerator Model #RSG257AARS on March 28, 2010 from HH Gregg. July 22, 2013, the refrigerator stopped working. We had never received a written warranty. Looked on Internet at Samsung website and it said there was a ONE-YEAR warranty. Called a repairman. Compressor was bad. Cost of repair approximately $1200. Cost of service call, $80. A couple of days later, the repair company called and said the compressor was under warranty and they would fix it. August 23, 2013 refrigerator stopped working a second time. According to the repairman, Samsung products are JUNK! We looked at Consumer Guides before purchasing and this refrigerator was at the top of the list. Why? I also found (on the Internet) a class action suit filed against Samsung for their shoddy refrigerators. Repairman said Samsung is flooding the market with products that are untested. We have a 45-year-old General Electric refrigerator in our garage that is working fine. That is where our food is right now.

I bought fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Leons in Canada. The extended warranty has been the best money Ive ever spent - ever. Excluding the microwave, in the three years since I bought them, Ive had close to TWENTY service calls on the three appliances. There have been numerous problems. The stove was arcing 220 Volts onto the chassis of the appliance, the top spontaneously (really!) cracked. The burner switch burned out. The ice maker in the fridge has had 5 service calls, drips water on the floor every time you open the door and still ices up regularly. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes even though I rinse most food waste off the dishes and they claim it has a food disposal feature. I just had multiple components including the pump and fill module replaced. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.

We bought this dishwasher February 1 of last year and it failed February 3rd of this year - two days after the warranty expired. I am absolutely furious in part because it barely lasted 1 year and that I just mailed my last payment. Samsung support was absolutely no help other than to contact a local repair person. The repair people graciously offered me a price of $150.00 to diagnose this POS plus parts. Japanese companies used to be committed to quality but obviously not when it comes to appliances. Id love to send this unit to their corporate headquarters with a letter telling them exactly how I feel about their product. We also purchased a refrigerator at the same time and as you can imagine, Im praying its made better than their dishwashers. We bought our Samsung refrigerator/freezer (model RF217ACRS) approximately 3 years ago. Worked just fine until shortly after purchase, one day noticed the bottom drawer freezer wouldnt close. Upon inspection noticed ice about a half inch thick in bottom under drawers. Chipped it out with an ice pick. Huge pieces of ice! Drawer closed fine once ice removed. Thought it was our fault, since maybe we hadnt shut door properly so didnt worry. This has now kept happening and I chip ice out of the bottom about once a week.Same for vegetable/fruit drawers in fridge. They fill with water (about 1/2 inch) and food was getting soaked/frozen. I ended up buying mats to elevate food in both drawers so they wouldnt get wet! Every week I take out drawers and pour water out. Also, ice/water build up underneath these two drawers too, that I chip/dry out once a week. Usually takes 2 to 3 dish towels to soak up excess water, then I chip away at ice!!! It is a huge pain, but after reading the other reviews here dont feel a service call will do any good. Guess we are stuck with a loser of a fridge/freezer for a few years and doing extra to keep it running and water/ice free. Will never buy Samsung again.Side note: We did not buy the ice maker, so that is not an issue or contributing factor to our problems.

Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was repaired. Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again. I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they cant give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). Im pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and dont make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO dont buy a fridge from a company who makes TVs and phones, lets put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Dont let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsungs warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come repair your fridge is no good.

My Samsung dishwasher model DMT300RFW failed six months out of warranty, but used less than 20 times (it was at a second home). Repair cost was just over 1/2 the purchase price.Failed part was the drain pump, DD31-00005A. Failure mode was that the impeller shaft O ring had expanded from the drain water, preventing the shaft from turning freely. (The housing O ring had also expanded.) The O rings were not made with an appropriate material. In summary, the failure of a 10-cent part killed the dishwasher.Next, an attempt was made to report these findings to Samsung through their 800 number. Though my message was taken, there appeared to be a stone wall in terms of getting anyone to do anything. If this happens again, and it likely will, I may buy space in the Wall Street Journal and see if they care. What did I expect, at least that someone would make sure that my findings got to the right people. I guess it would be naive to expect anything else.

The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associate
The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associated with the Samsung dishwasher, and to the importance of selecting a reputable appliance sales company. In October 2016, my wife and I purchased a Samsung Appliance package from Bill Smith Appliances in Fort Myers Florida. Shortly thereafter, we began having problems with the dishwasher. I had researched the brand, and was already aware of draining and pump problems with the dishwasher, but was informed that the new model dishwasher was fixed. After repeated problems with the unit, a detailed search on this website confirmed that there were recurring problems with draining, and flooding of these dishwashers, and one caught fire causing thousands of dollars in home damage, as did the flooding issues. Two other units had circuit board electrical shorts, and one retailer was advising his customers to avoid the Samsung dishwasher. Because of the fire and recurring flooding issues, despite the fact that the unit was still under warranty, we decided we would not have a potential fire situation in our home. We would replace the unit rather than have it repaired under warranty.I explained these issues to the Vice President of Bill Smith Appliances in an email, and almost immediately received a response: Although our dishwasher was beyond the 30 day 100 percent return policy, the company would accept its return for a reasonable restocking fee, and apply all sales incentives to a replacement unit should we decide to purchase another dishwasher from Bill Smith. While the product probably could not have been of more concern, the benefit of having done business with an entirely reputable appliance dealer was phenomenal. What is also phenomenal is the CONSUMERAFFAIRS.Com website, where folks can post their experiences, the good and the bad, and the service and attention to customer experience that one appliance retailer extended to us.

Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.

Ice maker valve froze up. Samsung did not know what part number it was! How is that possible? Parts dept totally incompetent. Ask for a supervisor and waited 17 minutes, got voicemail. No return call. No surprise. They sent wrong part and will not allow it to be returned. I love the fridge design so I ignored other review warnings not to buy one. HUGE mistake. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. When a part fails, and it will, you will have a terrible time trying to talk to someone with ANY knowledge of the part you need. Totally incompetent in doing business.

Within a few months of our 5-year warranty ending the french door style fridge started to freeze up in the back, causing the fan to stop working properly and the fridge to stop cooling. I found this news article in which they discovered that this is happening to thousands of other people, and Samsung refuses to do a recall. ** There is also a class-action law-suit regarding this matter.I contacted Samsung, and they refused to repair the fridge without me paying for the parts and labor out of my own pocket. I am appalled by them as a company and cannot believe that they would treat their customers so poorly. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product again. I also own a Samsung stove that had a faulty part that melted all the wiring in the back and, according to the technician who fixed it, could have burned my house down while we were sleeping.

The old saying that he/she cant even boil water is true for anyone with this range. Samsung NE594R0ABSR, SN J0ZI7DCF801481Z. Glass cracked while boiling on Fast Boil element. Then the fun started when trying to get warranty support from Lowes extended warranty plan. They had to send out tech to take pictures to determine if damage was caused by abuse. (over a week for this) Tech confirmed not from abuse or physical damage.Nearly four weeks after the event and several phone calls I finally achieved a resolution. On the final call I waited while they first called service tech, they said waiting on parts, no idea how long. Then Lowes called Samsung to get a ship date, and could not get an answer from SAMSUNG aka SamSUCKS in my view. So we agreed to a buyout and they are sending a check, so I am out only the cost of extended warranty and delivery, feel fortunate about this part. Now for the best part! They do not want the unit back, said to just throw it away! Done with SamSUCKS forever...

About a year and a half ago I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator (model RF197ACWP/XAA) and the trouble began within the first year. After 6 months of use, the refrigerator started experiencing ice buildup on the evaporator coil, water leaking into the vegetable bins and under them. Ive had multiple Samsung service appointments performed by NISI NJ Inc (an Authorized Service Center of Samsung Electronics). I work full time and I was forced to use my vacation days for the multiple service appointments as the service appointments were only available Mon through Fri 9 till 5pm. Not to mention hundreds of dollars of food thrown out constantly. This multi-hundred dollar unit accordingly is unusable after less than a couple of years. I do not expect a refrigerator to last forever. I do however expect it to last at least more than two years. I recently learned that the company has sold refrigerators since 2005 with multiple defects and thousands of people are experiencing similar issues. I assumed Samsung would stand behind its product. However, after extremely lengthy and unpleasant calls with customer service office, Samsung said it refuses to offer any help as the one year warranty has now expired. The issue began when the unit was still under warranty and the original issue has never been fixed. I find this response unacceptable. I had filled out a formal complaint on April 4th, 2015 and asked to speak to management but Samsung has not done anything.

These refrigerator/appliances were advertised as black stainless steel and they are simply Black Shrink Wrapped. Have had my fridge for 3 years and am embarrassed when company comes over. Recently purchased a high end dishwasher and had to chose a different brand. I do love the black, but unless Samsung chooses to find a paint, replace the door or find another way to make this fridge look as advertised, I can no longer recommend Samsung black stainless products. Samsung has made no attempt at a resolve. Why advertise black stainless when it is a film that is applied and peels off in creases, near handles, folds and edges. I have several areas of peeling that began a year after purchase. Requested a paint from the company and was told there was none available nor would a paint be available. Probably because shrink wrap is not paint.
