Refrigerator started having problems 6 months after purchase. Water dispenser and filter started leaking. 2.5 years later it stopped cooling completely. The compressor went bad. Over the last 3 months I have had continuous problems with maintaining the temperature. The service guy came out again today (4th time in 3 months). Said the new compressor just replaced 3 months ago is bad. I have lost so much food and time. I want compensation and a new refrigerator.

I bought a stainless steel fridge and freezer and fridge doesnt cool. Paid for an outside firm Samsung sent to do diagnosis. They then cant fix it. Come to find out Florida has nobody that can fix it. Samsung wont do anything since we have moved and lost receipt in move. They have everything on file but need receipt first they say. I contact the store where purchased as Samsung asked and they dont have on file either. Because of this Samsung wont do anything. Funny how they have all my information and model and serial numbers on file but they still wont do anything. I just want it to be fixed but they wont do anything. Dont ever buy FROM SAMSUNG!!! They took my $2500 for the fridge but wont do anything to fix or replace appliance. Its only a couple years old. Buyer beware.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

Bought the $1800 refrigerator in May. I stopped working in June. After hours of being on hold, it was repaired, but has been nothing but frustration since. It has had 3 ice makers replaced and now it has stopped working again. I have made 13 calls, each averaging being on hold 45 minutes and taken off work six (6) times, (after waiting two weeks) to meet repairmen. They can not find all the service records. They end by promising to call me back, but have NEVER called. All I want is no more high blood pressure and frustration... Just a working refrigerator!!!!

We have a Samsung Fridge, which we bought in March of 2012 at Lowes. In December of 2012 I noticed the icemaker was no longer making ice. Thankfully the appliance was under warranty so the repairman came and fixed it. I thought everything was fixed until about 8 months later. No more ice. Every two weeks my husband and I have to take apart the ice machine system and thaw it out. Reading the comments it sounds like this will be a problem until I feel we have gotten our 2,000 dollars worth and then we can take a sledgehammer to it after we buy a different fridge that is NOT a Samsung. What a piece of **.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot. I will never buy Samsung again nor an appliance from Home Depot. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed bubbling of the finish on the front with peeling. This includes the left door where the ice maker is located, the drawer and the freezer drawer. The surfaces are raised from the inside out which to me indicates rust. As I began my process to complain I began with Home Depot who informed me my extended warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. From there directly to Samsung who has consistently refused to stand behind their product. Almost telling me it is my fault. Well what about quality of the product and consumer satisfaction? In the business we own, quality is our most important aspect. Without good quality and willingness to stand behind your products you are nothing. No more Samsung for this family. I found Samsung to be unprofessional in the way this was handled and have complained to the Office of the President without results. Stay away from Samsung.

I have a Samsung Refrigerator, model number RS265TDRS, shortly before the warranty expired the coils started freezing with ice causing the unit not to cool. Since then, it has happened three more times. Each time, I have paid for services, repair and food replacement. Samsung customer service said there isn’t anything they can do but send another tech at my expense. Spoke to a representative who said Samsung couldn’t do anything for me since my warranty has expired. Since it is the same part that Samsung suffered a lawsuit in 2010, I strongly believe this issue has not been resolved in newer models either. My model was not part of the lawsuit. It’s time for a major recall!

I am finding all Samsung products are crappy made. I bought a fridge little over yr ago and ice maker stopped working within 2 months. Had tech I paid for come out look at it, claimed fixed problems. Month later ice maker froze up, stopped working. Called Samsung, they send a tech which they want me to pay for while under warranty. They act like they were doing me a favor by paying for it. 2 weeks later it has stopped again, whole unit frozen solid. I called and yet again they will not paid to have it looked at. Why should I pay another 2-3 hundred dollars on top of over $2000 spent to buy it. Reading all the reviews on here. Action should be taken against Samsung to make the products work as intended just like auto makers do recall their junk and make them fix the problems.

The knobs on the slide in electric range with the knobs on the front turn too easily. At least twice we have had dishes explode due to the knobs turning from just leaning against them. My 2 year old can easily turn the knobs on and off. Numerous times I have come into the kitchen to see one of the burners red from accidentally being turned on. The most recent dish explosion was today. I had set a bowl of squash on top of the over and about 10 minutes later I could smell something burning, I came out and the cooktop was set too high (I must have leaned up against it at some point), I immediately shut it off and the dish exploded, there was glass all over me, the counter, floor, I stepped on a piece that was in back of me and cut my foot. I was also holding my toddler at the time and I’m thankful none of the glass got in her eyes. There were shards of glass all over the place, we have a dog and two small children. This is very unsafe and Samsung really needs to address the unsafe design of these knobs. You barely have to push on them to turn them, this is a huge safety concern, especially as a fire hazard.

Ive been so disappointed since I bought my Refrigerator at Lowes in 2011, paid over $1,000 and have had it serviced so many times. The ice bucket cracked, then the ice maker broke, it had a water leak. They had to remove the panel. It was FROZEN. Now, called again because I dont know if its the fan or motor, I hope my food doesnt go bad. Im upset because of all the problems I continue to have and have to get another service contract just so I can keep it as long as I can. The first refrigerator I had lasted 10 years and I didnt have as many service calls as I do with this Samsung. I dont think I will be buying another Samsung refrigerator again. Too many problems!!

Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

French door refrigerator model RF263BEAESR/AA. This POS is 3 1/2 yrs old. Ref makes a racket after there is ice buildup and fan hits ice. Only way to stop noise is removing all shelves, removing inside panel in rear and chopping away at ice. This has to be done at least once a month. Getting ready to check it out the door. Do not buy SAMSUNG. First time service man said nothing can be done to permanently correct it. Its been going on now for over a year. Now we do it ourselves. Apparently there is a lawsuit regarding this problem.

We bought a house without a fridge and went looking. I loved the French doors and the basic layout of the fridge. Looked up the reviews on it and saw all the complaints about the ice maker. Thought that maybe the issue had been fixed. It hadn’t. Barely had it a year and had to get the ice maker replaced. Could only find 1 company that would even work on them. Took him a month trying to get the thing working again. Now here I am again 8 months later and it’s broke again. It has all the updates on it, less than a year old ice maker on it and when talking to the repairman he said that it’s a Samsung. It’s what they do. Tried contacting Samsung when it first went out and they told me that they were aware of the problem but it was past their warranty. They got their money so don’t care much if it works after they aren’t responsible for it. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in January 2017. I bought a black surface to match my other appliances. I have been seeing scratches on the door surface around the handles and called Samsung today regarding this defect in the paint. I was advised that the damage was not under warranty and would require a service call. The repair company advised that there would be a $110 fee to come look at the damage, Not only that but the only way to repair would be to order new doors. I am pretty sure that the scratches were caused by our fingernails when reaching for the handle. I guess we need to use gloves every time we open the refrigerator! I will never buy another Samsung product.

I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

We purchased the Samsung 30 slide in electric range manuf. March 2021 from Lowes and it was delivered Oct. 2021. The burner has twice inadvertently turned on by just bumping the front dials. In both cases there was something on the stovetop that CAUGHT ON FIRE. This happened once to myself and another time by a contractor working in the kitchen. Researching, I found two videos on Youtube that documented similar events. We purchased our Samsung electric induction range in May, 2015. Within months of purchase we needed a service call. (Our last range - certainly not a Samsung - lasted over 20 years without requiring service.) We decided to purchase an extended warranty, which supposedly expires either May 18, 2018 or August 18, 2018 - certificate states former, person on phone said latter. I asked him to confirm, and to let me know cost of extending for another year, since I do not trust this product, and repairs and parts are expensive. Without going into a further list of complaints, suffice it to say that I had to call three times - kept disconnecting (and these folks manufacture and sell phones) - they also ask for customers phone number at beginning of conversation! - and the website is sales-driven, so I was unable to purchase additional extended warranty online. I could go on, but I will stop here - this company has already wasted too much of my time! I encourage anyone who is considering a Samsung product to reconsider!

I purchased a Samsung RF323TEDBSA three door refrigerator February 2013 and have had terrible issues with both ice makers and front door water dispenser and overall think the stainless finish is impossible to clean. The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

If you are considering buying Samsung Products - Save your money! We bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer in 2012 and already had to have repairs on the washer ($279 for latch on the door). The dryer is ruining our clothes because the lint trap is defective and sticks up and catches and twists the clothes until they break. Our Dishwasher that we purchased in 2014, sometimes takes 6 cycles to clean. The soap dispenser does not open or the cycle stops and all the lights start flashing. The other day the dishwasher ran for almost 6 hours while we were shopping and was making a horrible noise. I called Lowes, where we purchased and they were no help. I called Samsung and was told I needed to buy a new lint trap, and they could not help with the dryer. As for the dishwasher, I have a transaction number of ** and was told someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss what our next step was. It has been three days and no one has called. We also have a Samsung stove/oven and microwave - crossing fingers those last longer than the other appliances. Bad product and bad customer service!!!

We have had our Samsung Microwave a little over three years, Model No. SMH9187ST. I noticed it had been getting considerably louder the last six months. It is used by two seniors so it does not get excessive use. The nearest repair service for us was 40 miles from our house. They would come to our home to diagnose the problem for $70. We could take it to their service store, and they would charge us $35 to diagnose problem. We were already quite sure it was the magnetron. The manual said it had a 10 year warranty. When taking down our microwave, we found that it had a broken grill. We had never had it apart so we assumed that is how we received it. The fee to repair our microwave was $175.99 (with the part under warranty). We paid in the $300 range for this microwave. The Samsung salesman did not advise us that we were buying a disposable appliance. A bit concerning for us, as at the time we purchased the microwave, we bought the rest of the kitchen appliances... all Samsung.

Fridge not working properly so they replaced a part inside of it and now the ice maker and freezer aren’t working again. Samsung will do nothing. Very irritated. I have spent 2 months working with a repair tech, Samsung parts, and Samsung (Lack of) Customer. This small approximately $10 part has been discontinued. The only option is to spend $389 for a new freezer door and $125 to install it. My service tech (5 star rated) reported he spoke to the Samsung techs and determined Samsung has known about this problem for several years. It appears sells products with known defects, but does not want to support the customers. He also reported there are other Samsung parts which have been discontinued for relatively new units. The scroll compressor has a 10 year warranty. What good is that warranty if the rest of the refrigerator falls apart? By the way, the local authorized Samsung service company received an F rating from the BBB.

Purchased a new Samsung refrigerator about 2 years ago and now the glass shelf that holds the crisper drawers is broken on the corner and the rail that the crisper drawer runs on is broken where the screw hole is broken where a worker had screwed it in too tight. The rubber gaskets are coming apart as well....This refrigerator cost was over $2000.00. Called customer service and they said TOO BAD out of warranty ....Model # RF267AEBP. Someone needs to get a class action lawsuit going on this and let all of us know...

I must let you all know that I contacted Samsung Corp. via email and complaint to them about the issue with my less than 2 years old Microwave and luckily, I got a response and apology within two days. They sent a company to pick up the microwave to get the control panel replaced at no cost to me. I am now waiting on my microwave to come back. Its only been a couple of days. They said it would take at least 7 days for them to get the part and bring it back. I am very happy with the way Samsung responded. They even called me back to make sure they picked up the microwave, not to mention all the follow-up emails. I really hope they fix it and it lasts. I suggest you all do the same! Good luck!

The SE error occurred on a two-year-old over-the-stove microwave. The same thing - unplug, worked for a short time and then nothing but an SE error since. The TV has been a problem as well. Luckily, I had a warranty. But it is less than a year old and I had the entire rear component replaced. Now there is a line on the middle of the picture that will not go away. I think they are just selling junk.

I bought a Samsung stove in 2017. By 2019 the display was flashing all the time. We tried to contact them. No help. Tried again today. Its only a year warranty? $1000 for a stove and its only expected to last a year? This is clearly a manufacturer problem and the stove works but honestly Ill end up having migraines if I have to look at this flashing for another year or 2. Samsung says sorry, not sorry basically. I have a video if I can post it with this review.

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung model # DMT800RHS dishwasher. It required 2 service calls within the 1st year: once because we had to keep flipping the breaker to get it to turn on and once for a problem with the control panel. The racks are held together with plastic clips. The top rack has two positions. After only 2 years, many of the plastic clips are broken, and now the rack will not stay in the up position. One of the rungs (which is also held together with plastic clips) will not stay in the upright position because of the broken clips. We also purchased an electric range and French door refrigerator. We have had one service call on the range. So far the only appliance that has not needed service is the refrigerator. I would not recommend Samsung appliances at all. And I will absolutely never purchase a Samsung again.

As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. Its an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad. Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldnt have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowes. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really dont want someone in my home. Now I dont know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (were on social security and cant really afford it) or just hope and pray that we dont get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but Im sure youre not) be ashamed!

Samsung 2.0 cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave Model SMH9207ST - On August 21, 2013, we purchased this Microwave. On Sunday, December 14, 2014, it simply stopped working. After checking to see that the outlet was hot, I attempted to reset the microwave by leaving it unplugged. Plugged it back in with no results, unless you count nothing happening as a result. This microwave replaced an earlier one from Samsung with the dreaded SE error code that wed had for about 2 years. We got another Samsung because our experiences with 4 Samsung televisions, refrigerator and washing machine had all been good. Bad decision. Ill be replacing this one with a Whirlpool. Im fairly certain that quality has probably been compromised over the past 20+ years, but there was a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave in the house when we bought the house and it didnt get replaced for another 18-19 years. I cant remember, but it may have been replaced because of its outdated styling, not because of any problems. Well see how a 2014 generation Whirlpool microwave holds up.

I guess I will see how serious Samsung is about customer service tomorrow. My about 2 year old dishwasher has some plastic supports for the upper rack that are breaking down. In looking over customer complaints about the same model I guess it’s a real common problem. Some of the customers are saying that the brackets need to be replaced 2 OR 3 TIMES A YEAR, REALLY. How could this be, cant SAMSUNG come up with a QUALITY part that will last? HOPING I HEAR FROM SAMSUNG TOMORROW. I DONT understand why this model number cannot be flagged and the part just shipped without another 15 to 20 min on the phone. Sure hope they dont try to charge me for their poor choice in material and design. And I hope the part they do have to replace it with is not the same as the one that is breaking down. VERY UNHAPPY.

We recently purchased all new appliances for our new home. The three door counter depth model was delivered & installed by our dealer. We quickly noticedthat the refrigerator doors were sweating. Over three days I had contact with Samsung Customer service three times and a service representative once. Total time spent telling my story over and over again to people I had difficulty understanding amounted to about 2 hours. I finally became so angry that nothing was being accomplished that I told the lady I was going to hang up and let her figure out what was happening to my service request & call me back...and, if I did not hear back from her in a reasonable time period I was going to return this abomination. I did not hear from her.I have contacted my dealer and am returning this and will NEVER again purchase a Samsung product. RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

Purchased the Samsung microwave SMH9207ST in July 2014. Stopped heating in September of same year. Called Samsung and they sent a serviceman to fix it. Problem solved... for a while. Its now April 2015 (were still within the one-year warranty period) and not only does it occasionally stop heating, but the turntable doesnt work. Called Samsung and they said were out of warranty! When they looked further into our account, they said they sometimes have computer issues and they no longer showed our original bill-of-sale information in their system, and said wed have to send in a copy of the original to them. We dont have that receipt any longer (Lowes) so were out of luck. Will NEVER purchase another Samsung product again, based on our experience with this microwave and the lack of quality customer service.

I’ve been wanting a range with a convection oven for a long time. I finally bought a handsome Samsung glass-top range with a convection oven at Home Depot. The oven is ok...but not anything special. It’s the cooktop that drives me crazy. Put the dial all the way low on the front left burner, and it will burn anything you put on it. Put the dial to low on any of the other four burners, and your food will remain cold. We bought a Samsung suite of appliances: stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Within the first week or so, there was a burn mark on the door frame on the microwave. We tried to clean it, but it was definitely a burn mark. After a day or so, we noticed the mark getting larger, so we called Lowes, who directed us to Samsung. Samsung took about two weeks, and after many emails and photos sent in to them, they finally sent out a repair tech to look at the issue. The tech also took photos, and stated that the door frame was out of alignment and not flush, and that he could only see this mark growing. He advised not to use the microwave due to stray waves escaping, which were causing the burning on the door frame. We then had to contact customer service repeatedly to obtain a replacement product. Many more calls to coordinate with Lowes, and finally, we went to pick up our unit and found out that what Samsung told us and what Lowes wanted were two different things. Samsung did not send in the right paperwork, so Lowes would not release the replacement unit to us even though we had uninstalled the first one and brought it with us to the Lowes store. Back into the car it went, and more calls and emails.During this series of emails, the Samsung customer service person offered to pay us up to $150 for installation and re-installation of the unit. We followed her directions, and we went to pick up the replacement unit again from Lowes. This time, the exchange went fine. We mailed in the invoices for the uninstall and the re-install, as per instructions. Then the waiting and the follow-up emails started. No reply from any of them. We sent in regular emails over a long period of time. I like the Samsung refrigerator. They can keep the dishwasher, and the stove is just okay. The microwave seems fine now. After this entire experience, I would not recommend any Samsung products to anyone we know, unless they can service them themselves.

I bought the Samsung French 4 door refrigerator October 29, 2015 but it was not delivered until November 21, 2016. None in stock at Jetsons Appliance Center. In November 4, 2016 I called to question the ice cube maker not making cubed ice and having water come out with the ice. I did what they suggested but no help. Then started the paper and date trail. They did send someone to fix it in Dec. and said that it was out of warranty but would accommodate. The service company has been here 4 times and they are sending them out a 5th time but now say that the warranty starts from purchase date so even though I started this within the year it was in my possession this was the best they can do. Do they really only warranty from purchase date, why pay for their product until installed then?

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

I moved into a new house on Jan 7 2015. The house came with stainless steel appliances (Brand new). I peeled the stickers from the Samsung stove myself... So I know I was the first user. Used it 4 times, smelled a funny smell but the documents said that its OK to have this smell in the first few times, so I didnt pay much attention.Then... short and I had to reset the breaker. Since then the oven wont pre-heat. Call Samsung and they sent out a nice guy that didnt know what to do. He then called Samsung and had been transferred 2 times to speak to 2 different Samsung reps. The 3rd guy asked him to check behind the stove and look for burned wires. My cool tech told him its a brand new stove. Samsung guy asked him to check... Well... bad wiring almost cost me my sons life, my life, my house and everything I have. My tech got an authorization number from Samsung and said that Samsung will call me within 24-48 hours to schedule a pickup and replacement. So... I waited.4 days later I called Samsung, gave them that number and they transferred me to a different department. The lady told me that she cannot help me without a receipt. I told her that I got the stove with the house and its not about a piece of paper. Its about Samsung selling a faulty equipment, a fire hazard in a shape of an oven.No go... Tried to leave a message on their FB page... the guy told me that he is sorry for my inconvenience (its a gas stove, that burned itself and can kill me... they know about it but still selling it... its not an inconvenience, its simply dangerous to let this company sell products!) - but... I need to get him a receipt for him to ask Samsung to take responsibility for its faulty product. Is there any federal commission that can take my oven and investigate it? Maybe cross it with houses that burned? Its like that GM recall... They KNOW about it but wont do a thing until someone will die, even then they maybe try to cover up before taking real action. My advice to you - Stay away from Samsung products! (Cell Phones, Computers, TVs.. anything). Also, Ive seen some other complaints here. Im going to buy a new stove next week. But if theres a class action going on I would like to be a part of it. If theres none, Im interested in filing one and would like to contact other people who had a similar experience. So, please contact me if you can.

Sumsungs excellent customer service is a customer’s nightmare. Here is our experience: 2 days before X-Mas 2014 our 3 month old fridge model RS22HDHPNSR stopped cooling properly 2 days later it stopped all together but the temperature readout did not indicate a problem and remained at the normal settings. 12-24-14 called Samsung customer service gave all of our info: Name address, phone #, e-mail address. Was instructed to reset thermostat, called back after a few hours to inform Samsung that unit was still not cooling. Advised that a repair service would come in 1 to 2 days to take care of problem. 12-27-14 After several hours working on our fridge repairman told us that the unit suffered a major failure and parts would need to be ordered. We contacted Samsung same day again had to repeat all of our personal info and we now requested a replacement for our 3 month old unit. Thats when the nightmare really began. We did not hear from Samsung and had to call daily for updates. Each time we received a new ticket # and were told our request was in review. On 1-2-2015 we were informed that our request for replacement was denied because replacement parts were in. On 1-7-2015 After 2 repairmen hammered and soldered for 3 hours on our fridge in the kitchen they could not fix it needed more parts. Again we called Samsung requesting a replacement and again never received any updates. On 1-9-2015 finally got through to a supervisor who than told us after speaking with another supervisor that our request for replacement had been denied a second time, because the additional parts are in. On 1-13-2015 after 3 more hours working and banging our fridge it was working. After a 3 week long ordeal of no refrigerator/freezer, uncounted hours spent on use less phone calls speaking to a total of 36 Samsung employees we have a rebuilt Samsung refrigerator. Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

The representatives dont really know what they are talking about. They just waste even more of the time. They are very polite though but not helpful. I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didnt buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasnt a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit. So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all. Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I dont think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.

What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator
I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer-model number RF260BEAESP/AA. The ice maker allows ice to exit the rear of the unit when the freezer drawer is pulled open for removal of frozen food or for ice removal. The ice then is deposited on the freezer floor. This not only wastes ice, it creates a collection of ice cubes which eventually inhibit the secure closing of the freezer drawer. Eventually, the incomplete seal of the closure allows frost to build up on the contents of the freezer. I would hope that Samsung redesigns the ice maker and its location within the freezer drawer.

I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a corroding door. The fridge is 3+ years old and the area below the ice maker is corroding. The refrigerator is black and the spot where it is starting to corrode is very noticeable and is embarrassing to say the least. Obviously it was a really bad design and the door should be replaced. The warranty does not cover the cosmetic issue but I feel this is a workmanship issue that should be covered and is a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors. I have called Samsung twice who told me that I should call the retailer who I purchased the extended warranty from and the retailer told me to call the manufacturer. I will not make another purchase of any Samsung product and will not use the retailer any longer.

This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

I purchased a Samsung OTR microwave in August 2015. The microwave has stopped working. The front control panel is totally dead. It doesnt even display the time. I have spoken to 4 different people from Samsung Support and a Samsung authorized repair shop representative. All of these folks have asked me if there is a problem with the electrical outlet or the breaker. I have tried to explain that the breaker is fine and the unit is getting power. We plugged in other items into the outlet to confirm. Now I am being told that I have to uninstall the microwave in order for a technician to look at it. I am 65 year old woman and I do not have the ability to uninstall this appliance nor do I have anyone that can do this for me. Samsung says it is their policy not to uninstall the appliances. REALLY? Well it is not my policy to have an appliance break in 6 months! I also purchased a Samsung oven, dishwasher and refrigerator at the same time. Cant wait for all of them to break within the next year so I can try to figure out how to uninstall all of them?? This is ridiculous. Dont buy Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher on 10/30/15. It began failing and showing error codes three weeks after its one year warranty expired. Samsung sent techs out three times, twice with no charge and never fixed the fundamental problem; the machine stopped cleaning dishes. Samsung made exceptions and we did not pay a cent for the service visits, but it was utterly impossible to get the company to simply replace the washer as it was just not functioning any longer. Short fused customer service at best and obviously a product line that is inferior. A class action lawsuit ought to be initiated against the company for anyone who bought a dishwasher that has failed in the past 5 years. An abhorrent experience with a dishwasher that was less than 14 months old.

My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. The door shelves have an extra metal trim and there is space between it and the plastic wall. If something spills and gets between the metal and the plastic wall it is a nightmare to clean. I also find removing the plastic vegetable bins to clean a big hassle. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

I called Samsung. In our conversation I was unable to give them the serial no. It is placed on the inside of the microwave where you clean and subsequently had been scrubbed off. The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

Bought a Samsung oven range at Lowes with a rating of 5 stars and had it delivered (I thought it was an extremely great deal at 100 or so dollars below cost). Do not know who is doing the rating? After delivery I followed the directions precisely as my old stove was extremely old and conventional. I turned on the oven as directed and immediately noticed the continual clicking. Like I stated, my old stove was way outdated and thought maybe this was some sort of break in issue. Then the smell was horrible (HORRIBLE). I then opened every window and door and turned on the central air (it was off due to the weather being about 70 or so degrees outside) and put my dogs outside. I did this for hours, about 5 approximately. I then did not feel comfortable cooking with it but went ahead anyways. I put in a pan of buffalo wings. After the cook time I pulled them out and had no intention of eating them due to the ongoing smell, but found them burnt on top and undercooked underneath. I then decided to make a rice dish and turned the left burner on. It got extremely hot and within a minute. I was impressed honestly until I then turned the burner down to 2 to simmer. It stayed extremely hot!!! Glowing red! I then shut the burner off but the surface heat light stayed on and heat was still radiating for at least a half hour after. At this point I was scared of the stove!!! It was no longer clicking but was very hot and lights were still on although all burners had been off for at least 30 minutes. I decided to open the oven door and brought in a box fan and pointed it towards the open door and turned my Air Conditioning down to 68 degrees. I did not even dare to pull the stove out and unplug it as it was still so hot!!! Oven and stove were radiating, and heat surface lights were on although all units were turned off. After an hour or two (left the room) I came back to find the lights off and it still very warm but off. I then called Samsung and never got through! Called Lowes but it was after hours and no results. Now, I then had a family emergency and death in the family. I then tried cooking on the range Friday (got the range on Sunday remember). Long story short I got the same results and saw the 17 pages of Consumer Affairs issues, so I decided to document my issues and take still photos and video. After all this Lowes (my local store) did not hesitate to offer me a replacement stove. I had no problem with that and it was very fair although they would not pull the range from the floor and I demanded they do so! I insisted it was an extreme fire hazard and they did not disagree but did not comply either, so I called corporate. They did not agree either so I told them I would be filing a grievance and possible suit as well as calling the local investigative reporter. It is now a day later and have not been to the store. Again, tired from all this and my family emergency and death. I can only hope these ranges are no longer being sold. I also took still photos and video of the range burning for at least 40 minutes and heat warning lights on without any stove or oven turned on. YES I REPEAT.... THE RANGE WAS BURNING FULLY HOT WITHOUT ANY FEATURE TURNED ON!!! THAT WAS FOR OVER 40 MINUTES! PHOTOS AND VIDEO OF MY RANGE FULLY BURNING WHILE TURNED OFF. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG RANGE!!!

Late April 2018, we were forced to replace all our appliances. We decided that we wanted the best, so we chose Samsung. We already had several Samsung cellphones so now our home was going to be all Samsung. Boy do we regret that decision. A week before Christmas 2019, both the dishwasher and washing machine stopped working. The washing machine was fixed under an extended warranty. Our dishwasher is another story. It has been 6 weeks of washing dishes by hand and lots of paper plates. The latch mechanism on the door is of such a poor design. After replacing the mechanism, the door still does not latch. Another mechanism has been ordered. We have to wait another month before we will receive the part and be put on the repair roster. Even then he cannot assure us that the same misalignment will not occur. Today has been the 3rd visit and the repairman thinks that it may not ever be possible to repair it. So now we wait for the home warranty company to decide on replacing the dishwasher.

Samsung Model DW80J3020UB - I notice several weeks ago that it wasnt drying properly. Couple of nights ago I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed the dishwasher was still running in the heavy cycle which we never use. I tried to stop the dishwasher but couldnt, it kept going back to the heavy wash cycle. Then the door latch broke and dishwasher thinks its in the wash cycle with the door open. I didnt want to go to bed with fear of the dishwasher start in the wash cycle and flood the kitchen. I took the door panel off and cut the wires going to the motor and the motor kept running, got the door to close with motor still running. Got up the next morning motor not running, went to Lowes and bought a Bosch dishwasher. This Samsung dishwasher was bought in Nov 2015. The water jet inside the washer is super handy to touch up items with a stain before the load. I wondered if I would use the deep fill water option since my old machine used a lot more water. My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.
