We got a Samsung fridge less than 3 years ago from a relative, that only had it for 6 months. It has never been a good unit, so when it finally quit, we were not too surprised. When asked about the warranty, we were given the runaround for about 2 hrs. from our local Sears. We finally said enough, and went and bought another one from a different place from where this was bought, with 10 year factory warranty.

I bought 4 appliance from Samsung. 2 years later my refrigerator was leaking - antifreeze they said it ran out. I said I got the extra warranty. They said Im out of luck. They couldnt find it on the computer and the other day the handle came flying off the microwave - same company. Thinking of contacting a lawyer to get my money back. It should lasted longer - for all appliance - it cost 7000 dollars. Im on a fixed income. Ill never buy Samsung product again.

2 years ago my refrigerator went out on a Friday night. Because I needed a fridge right away, I ended up buying a Stainless Steel Samsung, French door with bottom freezer at Home Depot. It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. Now the freezer has stopped working. I will probably end up having to buy another new refrigerator.

I love the fridge but the freezer side is just not enough room for a family of four. The ice maker takes up space we need for food. I love the flexibility on the fridge side and the space is small but does work since no operational parts take up key areas.

Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2009. It has been leaking a lot of water down to the bottom of the refrigerator, under the drawers, which then leaks out onto the floor at least two or three times per week. We assume it is from the filter area. We do use the manufacture recommended filters so are not sure has caused this. The center of the refrigerator between freezer and fridge area gets very hot to the touch around the indoor icemaker. Wish we never bought this. We are very Brand Loyal customers, but will never purchase anything Samsung again.

I purchase this refrigerator in November 2013. By February I was on my first of many repair calls. Like everyone else the icemaker how many times. Then a new problem - the door seal was not working... Ice maker... then icemaker... icemaker... Hey a new problem- the door on the right started to pop, popped on closing. Started on Saturday January 26, 2019, now January 30, 2019 popping stopped. Now door will not close, having to put a chair in front to keep it close. I have contract. Was told this is not included in contract. Given another number to call. Very pleasant, no help. I want my purchase price back or a new refrigerator. Too much money to be unhappy. Do not buy, but if you dont mind the headache, beautiful in the kitchen.

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

I brought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Lowes in NY and my evaporator fan start making a noise, then stopped working. It took 2 weeks before a Dial Appliance technician came to repair it. It is still not cooling properly and I cannot hear the fan working. When I called them, they say this is normal. Do they think that I am stupid? How could the unit not work the way it was when I bought it and they say it is normal. Calls to both Dial Appliance (718-368-1512) and Lowes (516-837-4057) say they will call me back but never do. What is Samsung doing about this? If they cannot make it work like before, they should replace it asap.

WHEN I moved into my home, there was a Samsung dishwasher, brand-new. This was almost 4 years ago. My hope by writing this is to educate consumers about my experience. It was non-stop issues from the first month. Over the years, I replaced the pump. I had a number of repairmen out, who each time took a look at the dishwasher and laughed. They all told me it was a hunk of junk and dont waste money on it. Over the 4 years I spent over $800 on repairs. Now, it broke again. I have replaced it with a Frigidaire. I am very easy on my appliances, I ran it about 3-4 times per week. I used the best detergents only. I scrape dishes thoroughly. My things last me many many years. This did not last me at all - as I was contacting repair people the entire 4 years. I fear I have other Samsung appliances that were here when I moved in. I have heard from too many in the appliance industry as to the track record of Samsung appliances. I wish to educate potential consumers as to my experience, the money incurred - the waste.I should also mention I contacted Samsung a few times. They could not care less. Besides not speaking English properly so communication was limited - truth is - they could not care less. The only good that could come out of this is I save other consumers fortunes of money. We all work very hard for it - and clearly others could not care less how they squander it for us. There is also no price that could be placed on the HOURS I invested in trying to salvage it. Please, buyer beware.

WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave 5 years ago. We have now been told, that the heating element part for our oven has been discontinued and not available. I called Samsungs recommended parts supplier and the part was not in stock. I called two reputable appliance repairs shops and they informed me that the part was discontinued by Samsung and not available. So after only 5 years, we need to purchase a new oven/range. It will not be a Samsung.

I bought Samsung refrigerator last June 20, 2009 (RF267ABBP/XAA). The ice dispenser started spitting out bits of hard white plastic (some nickel and dime size) with the ice. When I called for repair (still under warranty), the repairman could find no source for the plastic and did nothing. The problem has reemerged now with 1.5 x 2 piece of hard white plastic and dime size piece of styrofoam.

We purchased a French door refrigerator with the top and bottom ice makers. After a year or so, we noticed a lot of frost build up in the freezer and the drawer was increasingly difficult to open. Shortly after that, large chunks of flat ice began falling on the floor. After a little investigation, it was discovered ice was building up on the bottom of the freezer door and continues to be a problem. We have to defrost every 2 months or so.

We purchased our refrigerator July 3, 2012 from Lowes. 5 years to the date it quit working over night, woke up the next morning and all my food in top part refrigerator was spoiled and bottom freezer was thawed. Called repairman to come out and take a look at it, about all he had to say was to unplug it and waituntil tomorrow morning it should cool down and start working again. The repairman at the house for 5 minutes and 75.00 dollar for the service call to tell me to unplug it. It did cool down and started working, restock the refrigerator. But 7 days later it went down again. We unplug again but still not working so, once again we had to deal with spoiled and lost food. The consumer are right. Samsung Refrigerator is a piece of crap. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

I spent over $3000. For a Samsung refrigerator which has an ice maker that constantly freezes up. I purchased a service agreement with Best Buy who in turn sends out a Sears service technician. This is an ongoing problem with Samsung refrigerator ice makers and they have no clue as to why this is happening. My ice maker still doesn’t work and the service department claims that the part is back ordered. Do yourself a big favor and do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. I am a licensed refrigeration engineer with the City of New York and I have never dealt with a major corporation that doesn’t care about customer care. Within two weeks of buying our new home, the brand new Samsung Dishwasher (Model DW80J3020US) malfunctioned when we were not at home, spilling gallons and gallons of water onto the floor. This resulted in our hardwood floors buckling and our master bedroom carpet needing to be removed and our entire house needing to be dried out. Samsung customer service took no responsibility for any of this ---- all they would tell us is the dishwasher was out of warranty. This is the one of the most horrific experiences we have ever had with a product ---- this company should be out of business and their customer service sucks worse than their appliances. I wouldnt even rate them with one star. NO ONE SHOULD BUY ANY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCE.

The refrigerator started out pretty good. However the water spout is located inside the fridge and this has posed a major inconvenience along with increasing the humidity in the fridge during the hot humid summer. Had to defrost it three times because the drain hose froze up. First time it froze everything in the back side of the fridge. Ice build up stopped the fan & burned it out. Once thawed out & fan replaced it worked well about 3 months, Drain Has frozen up twice since the fan being replaced. Not recommended.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I bought a Whirlpool fridge 28 years ago. It is still working and so is the ice maker. I should have known better, stick with what works. We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... In June 2015 we bought a new 2016 Fleetwood Bounder RV that had a Samsung french door residential refrigerator! We started having trouble with the fridge part getting to 50-60 degrees but the freezer remained at -2 11 months later! Samsung said it went out of warranty in March 2016, probably when it was installed in the RV! NOT when we took possession! They sent a repairman out and he claimed he fixed it but a few months later we had same issue! They gave us a list of authorized repair businesses in our area. We have to take it back to Camping World where we purchased it so they can pull it out from the cabinet it is in. One business Samsung recommended wont work on one in an RV, another showed up before we were back from our trip and before the date we had the appointment set for!! Cannot get them to answer the phone and never return our call! The other was set up to be at Camping World last Thursday at 9 AM and the corporate office called at 6:30 Wednesday night and cancelled because they closed that location! Samsung will not stand behind the crappy refrigerators they make! Why is anyone still selling this crap? Fleetwood says it is a Samsung warranty problem, Samsung says it is out of warranty although they never resolved the issue when it was under warranty and none of the authorized service centers will work on Samsung!! Camping World is no help! And our Good Sam extended warranty says it was a pre-existing problem! We are tired of living out of a cooler when we camp! We are frustrated that no one will claim responsibility for crappy merchandise! Fed up! I cant add pictures or any information because our RV is at Camping World waiting for a solution!

Bought Feb 2015. Worked, but never dried 1 dish. In June heavy light started flashing, repair came out, said he raised hose. Worked for 2 weeks. Can out again - replaced 2 hoses, then decided tub leaked. Accused us of attempting to repair, two elderly women me and my mom. Samsung said that they would refund, not replace as rhe model has been discontinued. Nothing on my receipt indicated that I purchased discontinued item. Now I can get the upgraded model for an additional $200. Bait & switch? So here I am with a dishwasher that does nothing but flash heavy light. Dishes being washed by hand. They now drain in my dishwasher. This horrifying appliance replaced a $25 whirlpool about 30 years old purchased at Habitat for Humanity, which worked perfectly for 4 years. Service America would not repair because it was too old... So much for new. All I asked is for a replacement with stainless front and interior and was quiet. My new Samsung is very quiet, just a lovely blue flashing light.

Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

We purchased a side by side Samsung refrigerator about 3 years ago. The icemaker has been nothing but a nightmare. Ice production has been marginal and then the mechanism totally freezes. We have spent 600 on repairs, but the problems reoccur. Based on the number of complaints, this 3000 appliance is a con job by Samsung. Apparently, they could care less about customer service. I plan to tell everyone I know. Shame on Samsung!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator in 2012. It has an external ice and water, along with the bottom freezer and a drawer that has various options. Since 2014, we have had significant problems with the ice maker. The repair person has been here 5-6 times attempting to fix what he calls a manufacturing and engineering defect. Apparently he has seen this problem multiple times. It doesnt make ice, then it makes ice but it all melts and refreezes in a solid block. It continued this cycle over and over until it burned out its fan. Multiple calls to Samsung have gotten me nowhere except that I have now spent nearly $1000 trying to fix a $2500 appliance that is still brand new.

This refrigerator - which is gorgeous - stopped working exactly 45 days after installation. A repair service sent by Samsung said it was repairable but it was too a job for them and recommended replacing it. Despite this, Samsung will not stand by their product and they refuse to replace the refrigerator. We are now approaching THREE weeks of no refrigerator. Samsung customer service is a nightmare. They should be ashamed - so disappointing. We strongly recommend NOT purchasing through Samsung and instead use a more reputable company who will ultimately stand by the product and the consumer.

Two weeks ago we bought a Samsung DW80H933US dishwasher, the highest end model that Home Depot sold in our area. Two weeks ago. 14 days. Tonight it stopped with error code LE. Looked it up, it says theres a leak. We looked everywhere, it is not leaking. There is no way to clear this error code. We have to cut the power to the machine and request service. This is after TWO WEEKS. Did I mention that? I wish Id done some reading up on Samsungs dishwasher before we bought it. Fortunately (I suppose), we purchased a 4-year extended warranty, so that over the next five years we wont have to pay for the monthly repairs. Two weeks in I am also concerned that the door seems to resist closing for no apparent reason either. These seem to be really, really common complaints. What a piece of expensive junk. Well see how much Home Depot cares about their customers tomorrow when I go in.

I remodeled my kitchen and I decided to change all my appliances. I went to Sears and bought the refrigerator with french door and bottom freezer, the dishwasher, the microwave over-the-range, and the range. It has only been 9 months since I bought them all. The refrigerator stopped working, the microwave latch is not working. They came and fixed it, now its giving me an SE error. The handle came off. Im not sure if I should just change the microwave or just keep calling Sears and complain until they change it. I will never touch another Samsung appliance. Thank you Samsung for pretty much stealing my money and give me a piece of crap when I could have bought something cheaper and received better service.

I, like everyone else, got the Samsung SE error out of nowhere, at around 18 months after purchase. I read all these reviews today and was about to go shopping to replace my SMH9187ST microwave. After power cycling it, the SE error would come back between two minutes and immediately. So far, after I did what I did, it hasnt happened in 8 hours. So here is what I did. Hopefully this will work for someone else. All you need is a Philips-head screwdriver and I didnt even have to remove the microwave from where it was mounted.Take out the top two screws. They fasten the top front vent grill to the microwave. To remove the vent grill, simply slide it to the left and pull out. Now when that is removed, you now have access to the one Phillips-head screw that holds on the dreaded keypad on the right of the microwave. Remove that screw. Then, slide the keypad assembly up and wiggle left and right to slide the fingers that hold it on to the microwave free from the slots they are in. Now once that is free, you can pull it out and see the few connectors that connect the keypad to the rest of the microwave. There is a white connector and a blue connector towards the bottom of the back of the keypad assembly. I simply reseated those connectors. Meaning, I unplugged them then plugged them back in making sure they were snug. The blue connector seemed to be a little loose when I went to reseat it. Im thinking maybe it had backed its way out somehow and was causing a bad connection, therefore giving me the SE error. But thats it. Line up the keypad assembly fingers back up with their proper slots and slide it down, therefore lining up the screw hole on the keypad assembly with the screw hole on the microwave and put that screw back in. Then slide the top front vent grill back on from left to right after lining up the little fingers with the slots they fit in. Then screw back in those two screws that hold the grill on. My beeping that was happening has now stopped and Ive microwaved a few things since. It took me no more than five minutes to figure out how to open it up, reseat the connectors, and put it back together. So far, problem seems solved!

We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.

Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.

I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products -some even older than mine. Samsung has had these issues for many years, in fact ConsumerAffairs published a report in 2009 which speaks to these issues, obviously still ongoing. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/samsung_settlement.html#It is unfortunate that Samsung has not improved the product, it is also unfortunate and regrettable that they wont apply the same level of service and attention to each case. Seeing so many others who have attained refunds (even posting pictures of the checks) while I am repeatedly told no is disheartening. I will do a lot of research and think very carefully before buying another Samsung product and I would strongly suggest others do the same, regardless of price/discount.Bill **

We contacted Samsung support and they sent a repairman to fix the fridge and after a great deal of time waiting for a part the dispenser worked. 12 months later the ice dispenser ceased to work so we contacted Samsung once again and were directed to another repair firm who said the dispenser was faulty and we had to wait once again for a new part. By this time I was worried that our warranty would expire but the Samsung repairer assured me we would still be covered because it was always the same problem. Now time has passed and we started to find small pieces of white plastic mixed with our ice, a month later and the dispenser has ceased working. We have contacted Samsung once again requesting a new fridge not a repair this time. Samsung said they would contact their assessor which they haven’t so we did. Purchased early 2010, in the first years had to call for service two times. So when close to time when 1 year warranty would be expiring, got a phone call wanting to know if I would like the extended warranty. Usually dont purchase, however with 2 problems early on figured I should. Purchased 2-yr. extended warranty and so glad I did because within that period had two problems per year. When that warranty period was getting close to expiring, I didnt get a phone call or email to get another extended warranty. So I called to purchase another. But guess what, our refrigerator wasnt eligible? Wouldt tell me or my husband why not? But pretty much figured it out that they knew we had a lemon and didnt want to offer us a warranty anymore. However, between my husband and myself calling and talking to multiple people, we finally got the right person and she authorized us purchasing a second extended warranty but of course this 2-year warranty was almost double than the previous 2-year warranty purchased. But it was so worth it because we have already had one service call during this period. Wish we would have qualified for a new fridge, but the problems werent the same within the time frame required to get a new one from Samsung. Moral of story - if you have a problem within 3 to 6 months of purchase, you are probably in for more issues. Keep good records. You might qualify for new one from Samsung. So to recap... Purchased in 2010 and have had 8 service calls, 2 extended warranties. Will not purchase another extended warranty and if it has an issue again after current extended warranty expires, we will most definitely chuck it.

The refrigerator has been a nightmare ice maker leaks never makes ice, (we consistently have a towel in the water tray) the dishwasher will often stop draining we re-run, the Microwave door sticks, however now that the oven caught fire the bottom of the microwave is burned. Lastly we are thankful we were home because our kiddos would not have been able to control fire, while the fire department was in transit. I will never invest in another Samsung Product. We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

DW80F600UTS/AS - Worst consumer experience in my life. Unit failed last month of warranty. Door latch defective, sensor controlling cycles defective. Did not go through cycle, dishes dirty and not dry. 3 visits from authorized repair, 2 after warranty expired. Repairman installed new improved sensor. Finally agreed to refund, but now claimed unit had to be depreciated. Then came the totally outrageous part: to get refund, consumer must cut power cord purchased separately with the unit (no refund for that), take a picture of cut cord. Then, consumer must remove decal attached to door, affix it to refund request, and send it to company. Decal could not be removed - took a photo of it next to cord. Not enough! Told to use a straight razor, no exceptions! It still doesnt come off. Imagine giving this advice to an 80 year old with a tremor? This company needs a major overhaul. Policies designed for maximum profit and will not honor warranty for defective product.

I have a Samsung refrigerator that I purchased about 3 years ago. Last Christmas we lost power for about 10 seconds and the refrigerator stopped working. I unplugged it and waited about 10 minutes and plugged it in again, and it started up again. Whoever heard of such a thing? I noticed one of the doors to the refrigerator was lower than the other, and scraping on the freezer door below... Ice maker is available, but I dont use it, and the cover kept falling off. Eventually the small box fell down into the freezer and I had to keep adjusting it until a friend finally unhooked it. Last night, (Sat. night) I opened the refrigerator door and noticed the temp. was 48 degrees. I unplugged again and waited 1/2 an hour then plugged it in again. It didnt work. I went to bed and this morning the refrigerator was working. I had a Samsung smart tv that lasted about 14 months and stopped working. My repairman said it could not be fixed and he had never seen such a cheaply made tv... I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product...

I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty. The service has been opaque, slow, unreliable (never call when they say they will) and overall horrible. I do not recommend buying a Samsung appliance and I never will again.

We bought our house and we thought we spend a good amount of money extra buying samsung appliances. We spend $3000 for a refrigerator, stove, everything in the kitchen, but just little over a year the fridge broke two parts, replace, and $400 later was working fine till 1 year and 2 months later again another part broke, another $350. And now just over a year later the part that was replace the first time went bad, $450 more. Im just sick of it. I never saw a worst appliance than this one. I call samsung the first time to ask few questions and they were very rude to me because my warranty was one month over. Now Im extremely mad about all the money we spend on this piece of plastic and that is why Im writing this review. If you need a good refrigerator dont buy samsung. Im not the first to say this. Please there is a cheaper and better appliances. Dont waste your money, energy and time on this brand!!!!

Samsung RF263 French Door with bottom freezer - We bought this less than 3
Samsung RF263 French Door with bottom freezer - We bought this less than 3 years ago. The first BRAND NEW fridge we have ever purchased. We got it because it was supposed to be excellent and we were told that Samsung is reliable. Im a teacher who spends extremely long hours at work and my husband travels for his job. We NEED reliable. The first few months, I noticed mold in the door seals. Weird, I thought. It seems like the seals on the doors are not very good, then -- and then the freezer would build up all kinds of horrible frost on the outside AND inside of things. It would do this off and on for no rhyme or reason.... Then, a few weeks ago, everything in the back of the fridge started to freeze. Not a lot, just a little. I checked temps, etc, moved stuff around. My summer vacation just began (this is when teachers actually begin to have semi-normal lives, go on Dr. appts, fix appliances, etc), and we went out of town for the weekend. When we returned early today in order to go to a funeral, I heard the fridge making an odd sound. Opened it up, and the entire back is iced over, just dripping in mini-ice bergs. We empty the whole thing, try to remove the back -- no dice. It wont budge. We use a hairdryer to remove the ice and let it sit while we attend the funeral (freezer is working alright, or at least as okay as it ever was, which isnt so great). We come home and it is not working. At all. I looked online and saw literally DOZENS of complaints, all the same.We are thinking we will just go out and purchase a new fridge -- costs of repair will probably be as much as a new one eventually. Based on reviews, it looks like it would do no good to keep repairing it over and over. This LEMON that we paid a HUGE price for is wasting our time. Im thinking of going back to Craigs list and purchasing a second hand fridge -- they run for years!!!!! Im SO angry!

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Not long after the installation, we noticed ice buildup in the refrigerator on the right side. We had recently had a power outage in our area and thought that may have caused the ice. We cleaned the ice off, but the ice continued to build. We called service and they came out and made an adjustment to the freezer drawer. We again called service and this technician replaced the drawer slides of the freezer. That seemed to have worked for a while. We now have ice buildup again and our refrigerator is no longer under warranty. I called Samsung directly and they will do nothing. I have no choice but to pay for the repair this time, but have no confidence that it will permanently fix the issue. This is the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase.

I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator in August 2011. Had them come out 3 times (April-May 2012) as it was frosting in the freezer. On third technician visit, the tech recommended (in writing) that the refrigerator be replaced. Samsung would not do it on the grounds that the retailer does not participate in our exchange program. Okay, but thats not my issue. They asked that I give them my cc number, cut the cord, send the cord and the serial number label to them, then I might get a check in 2-4 weeks. Samsungs internal refund policy states you must do the above to get a refund, but the warranty just says repair or replace at our option. Samsung would do neither. I took them to small claims court and just won a judgement for over the value of the fridge for removal, etc. Dont let them push you around. Take them to court! Their internal policy has nothing to do with the warranty agreement/contract between you and Samsung. I believe there is grounds for a class action lawsuit here.

In July 2016, I purchased a Samsung bundle which consisted of a refrigerator Model #RF28HMEDBBC, stove #NX58K3310SB/AA, microwave #ME16K3000AB & dishwasher #DW80J3020UB from Best Buy. I am totally happy with the services that I have received from Best Buy & the Geek Squad, however, I am so dissatisfied with the Samsung appliances. In 7/2018, the ice maker went out (Samsung provides no services!!!). I was told that the ice maker was not properly sealed & the Geek Squad replaced the ice maker. Then 10/2018, brown rust started to form on the bottom corners of the water shoot. The Geek Squad had to replace the entire door. 12/2018, the trim at the base of the oven door (which was glued on) came apart & the Geek Squad had to come back out & reattach it. And now, 12/18/18, as I was cooking dinner & steam was coming from the pot with vegetables (which is a normal thing) in it on the back burn, the stove’s back (oven, timer, & clock is located) started to discolor (my appliances are black!!). So now I have this spot on my stove. I was going to purchase the black Samsung washer & dryer, but after what I’ve experience with the kitchen appliances, there’s no way under the sun I’m going to purchase their washer & dryer. So dissatisfied with my Samsung appliances!

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

Purchased fridge new in 2015. Beginning in October of 2018 we came home to find the freezer was not staying cool and all the items in the freezer had thawed. Contacted a local company to come out and look which was very hard since no company wants to work on Samsung appliances. They found it was a seal system failure and quoted me $1093.00 to fix the issue I paid the man $100 for the service call. The repairman looked in the manual and found it was under warranty. I contacted Samsung and scheduled service. I waited a week and never got a phone call back to schedule a repairman to come out and look. I called back and was told the request ticket had been dropped and I would have to start over.So I again had to wait 24-48 hours for a call back and email receipt showing proof of purchase and invoice from company stating it was the sealed system failure. I waited yet again for a return phone call and had to call them 72 hours later. They requested one of their warranty technicians needs to come out and diagnose the issue before they took liability and could schedule warranty repairs and I would be responsible to pay the $99 diagnosing fee. I told them I would not pay that again. I had already paid a company to diagnose. Finally after having to be hateful and argumentative they found a company to come out and do repairs. They called me and requested someone to be at the house a week later between the hours of 8am-5pm. I paid someone to be at my house since I had to work. The repairman called me that morning and said he would be at my home between 1-3pm. The person waited at my house and the repairman never showed. When I got home and found out no one had came I called Samsung and they contacted the company. The company said they had sent a repairman out but no one answered the door. Which was a lie. I requested them to send someone out again and was told in order to do that I had to start the entire process over and get a new ticket number. At 6:30 pm an appliance repairman showed up at my house and said he was there to look at my fridge I asked him if he had came earlier and he said no. He was ran behind. So that company lied. The man was very curious when my warranty was up and kept saying I only had 4 months left. He connected the freezer to a system and added Freon to it. He started packing up his equipment and said he was finished. I said, You didn’t fix the problem. It has to have a leak if the Freon leaked out previously. He had no answers and left. I contacted Samsung again and told them the issue, how their repair company only put a band-aid on an issue and never replaced the parts or fixed the problem. Again I had to go through all the hoops only to not get a phone call back. I called them today and was told the reason I was not getting a phone call back is because they do not have a repair company who works under their warranty that can replace a seal system in this fridge. That I would have to find a company willing to fix it, pay them myself and they would issue a refund for my expenses to get it repaired. I asked for that in writing and they refused. I also was told I would be getting a refund for all the food lost but have yet to hear about that either. Do not buy from Samsung. Horrible company. Horrible product.

Purchased Samsung refrigerator Model# RS554NRUASL/TC June 2013 from SM North Appliance. 1st month of using this unit is good, my electric bill went down but on the 2nd month (July 2013) refrigerator stopped cooling. Called Samsung. They gave me instructions to reset cooling by unplugging the unit for at least 30 seconds then replug it. Ive tried 5 times the whole day. It didnt work. Called Samsung. They referred me to their authorized Home Service Center. The technicians came the next day, they check the unit. They said that there was a leak, so they told me that theyre going to order the parts needed. After 4 days they came back to fixed the leak. After 3 hours looking for the leak, they said that the leak was inside the unit. They cant fix it. Theyre going to forward the problem to Samsung. So Samsung contacted me, they ask me to go to our dealer for the replacement of my unit. The 2nd new unit delivered (August 2013), it last 10 months. The same problem with the 1st unit happened again. So they replace it again, the 3rd unit delivered (July 2014). After 6 months of using the 3rd unit the same problem occurred again. Same procedure with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd unit was made. Then 4th unit with the same model delivered (February 2015). Last October 2015, there it goes again. The technician came, fixed it, after 3 days it broke again. They fixed it again. After 3 weeks it broke again. I really had enough with this unit. So disappointed...
