Our new apartment has a half-wall between the kitchen and living room. We wanted a quiet dishwasher. The salesperson at Best Buy said the Samsung was the quietest on the market, so we bought one. It stunk when we opened it, but thought that it simply had to be used and the stink would disappear. Boy were we wrong. It is now 8 months later, after trying different detergents such as Finish gel and tablets (which we have had good success with in our old dishwasher), vinegar, etc. and the rotten fish stink is still just as strong as day 1. I dont know if the dishwasher is quiet because of built-in soundproofing or just that we cant get close enough to it due to stink to hear it. NOT happy.

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

We have had this Samsung electric range for a year and a half (so outside of warranty, of course!) and when heating oven, there is a strong electrical burning smell coming from behind the unit. It doesnt happen if only using stove. Samsung have offered no solution except for ME to pay THEIR repair service $99 for house call, $50 for diagnostic and then pay hourly rate for labor and parts. They offered to pay for parts, but I dont want anything more to do with Samsung products. They are terrible. I wonder if it is even fixable.

Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)

Purchased Samsung fridge 2013, 3 door. Great unit for the first year. Since then I have to remove the ice maker every 3 months to thaw out and chip the ice off the compartment walls. The ice builds up around the ice maker and eventually blocking the ice from dropping. Ice backs up, freezes together forming an ice rock. Dealer cant help because it is a design flaw and Samsung will not admit it. Slap me if I ever purchase anything made by Samsung.

Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Now Im afraid to do the self-cleaning. Who knows what will happen.

We bought a whole new kitchen set, all Samsung. The dishwasher did not work from day 1. It arrives dead on arrival. We were renovating our kitchen so we were not able to install it until about a month and a half after receiving it from the store. It did not work. Lights just flashed on the display and that’s all it did. No one informed us when we bought the set that there was a 30 day replacement clause, Samsung insisted on fixing it and would not exchange it. 4 visits from a tech and a month and a half later the dishwasher is finally fixed. They replaced all boards inside as well as the door switch and wiring harness. Still not working. We paid for a proper working dishwasher and are left with a refurbished unit if they ever get it working. Samsung was not helpful at all. Not willing to stand behind their products even when it arrived with a factory flaw. I would never buy a Samsung product ever again because of this terrible customer service and lack of standing behind their product. I would recommend that no one support this terrible company. You will get burned if you buy from them and have any issues.

My stove top had a crack on the top, due to the heating element getting too hot. After dealing with Samsung for 4 weeks on the phone (could not hear us -- they keep hanging up and they keep saying the wrong email address, and no one spoke English) they claim that our 1 1/2 old stove is not covered for labor only parts. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and no one will help us. I have all Samsung in our home, everything from phones to the washer and dryer. I will never, ever buy Samsung again. This company is a mess and the customer service is so BAD. They are rude and scripted.

RF32FMQDBSR - Bought 11/29/13. 3 calls to have icemaker fixed in first 3 months. Month 15, cooling problems started for main fridge cavity. Had an extended warranty (THANK GOD), repairman took 3 trips to finally contact Samsung Engineers who then deemed my unit not repairable. Just ridiculous for as much as this thing cost to have 2 major issues in less than 2 years. My previous fridge lasted for over 15 years with the only issue being the seals around the doors wearing out. Samsung makes you do a song and dance to get your money back, which includes me disposing off fridge. I dont get reimbursed the tax I paid (nearly $300) and I have to peel stickers and cut the power cord.

I purchased this beautiful refrigerator RF4287HA. After 13 months, an error code showed up on the display. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair service. When this particular one was made, the assembly line forgot to put the protective plastic cover over one of the sensors which allowed the sensor to drop down and be cut off by the smaller plastic drawer in the freezer. Repairman said we should get our money back for the service repair since this was a defect when this one was made (even though it was about 5 weeks over the 1-year warranty).Basically, somebody did not do their job when our refrigerator was made. After 4 calls to Samsung, they told us to send a statement from the repairman and they would refund our service call fee. After 2 months, a message was left that it was not going to be refunded. I talked with the service rep and he said, Sorry, its not going to happen. I assured him that I would make sure everyone I come in contact with would know what kind of company Samsung is. I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.

Ice maker problems. Ice bin will not come out of the fridge.. Called Samsung... Took info from me... Gave me appliance company that does their warranted work. Fridge is two months old. Appliance company said it will be three weeks till they can come... I tried to thaw, unplugged it for two hours, used a heat gun & fan for to 2 hrs., but no luck! So we emptied the fridge and will wait a day or so to see if it will come out... Appliance company feels it will happen again... By luck we have a second fridge in the cellar... Way too much aggravation after spending $2600.00 on this unit.. What do folks do who do not have a second fridge? This is the new America. Nothing lasts, way too complicated, and no one who knows how to repair them... Reminds me of the auto companies of the 80s and 90s....

I have had issues with my icemaker since the day the warranty expired. Note that we are only talking a 1 year warranty! The on-line blogs all indicate that Samsung knows they made a poor quality product. I have a home appliance repair service that I pay a monthly fee for and they also acknowledge that people are having problems with the Samsung refrigerators all over the metro where I live. When I call into Samsung to have them do the right thing and replace a $110 part they simply indicate that the product is out of warranty. Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. After purchasing all new matching appliances refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher 2 yrs ago, the Refrigerator stopped making ice after a couple months of owning. Plus its the noisiest refrigerator, ever. Service rep. came in and defrosted it, and it began making ice again. Ice is always soft and water drips inside the lower compartment. Several calls for service rep, with same repair results, defrost. The week the warranty expired, same issue. Called manufacturer. Asked if there was a recall on the refrigerator. They said no. Unbelievable, poor engineering, there should have been. They offered a free repair service, with replacement of ice maker. Well completed job. Ice is a bit more solid, but ice maker still froze up within three months of replacement, sad. I will never buy another Samsung product. Very poor customer service too. Sold all appliances for a loss. Bought all new GE Appliances. Still Made In USA. Better warranty. They look and work great.

Youve heard the phrase, Let the buyer beware? Well, if youre reading this post and all the others like it in anticipation of purchasing a refrigerator, I would STRONGLY advise you to take heed! This refrigerator is a poorly designed, sub-standard product (in fact, so sub-standard it would have to climb a mountain just to get to a minimum-acceptable-proficiency level...). Mine has only been in use for 2 1/2 years, and weve had multiple issues, including most of the ones discussed in previous reviews. Currently, it has power, but neither the refrigerator nor freezer is working at all. Dealing with Samsung is difficult, as other reviewers have stated, and Ive been without a functioning fridge/freezer for 12 days. Mine is the French door model with the additional drawer and the ice-maker. I thought I had done my homework before I purchased this refrigerator, but clearly I did not research enough.Perhaps the fact that the most reputable appliance dealers in our town dont carry Samsung should have been a clue! If you are planning to purchase a new refrigerator, I hope you learn from my mistake and avoid Samsung. If not, you will likely soon find yourself unhappily a member of the ripped-off Samsung-appliance-owner family!

In 2015, we purchased a $1200.00 Samsung Dishwasher, model DW80J755 Series, and started having problems in April of 2018 with an error code LC. The repair was made under warranty and also was found that the dishwasher had faulty installation of the waterline, which was crimped. The same error code LC, was again present on the dishwasher of June 2019. Once again, a repair was done to rectify this problem and it was under warranty. Forward to November 2020, and for the third time in as many years, the error code LC came up. The dishwasher is no longer under warranty by 3 weeks. A call to the appliance store we bought it from, said they would send an estimator out for $175.00 just for an estimate which didn’t cover repair, labor or parts! A call to Samsung’s Customer Service on Nov. 23rd, had the gentleman tell me because this has been an ongoing problem for the last 3 years, we qualify for a new dishwasher. The process was to give me a ticket # (**), send it for approval and someone would call & email me within 3-5 business days. As of today, Dec. 3rd, no one has contacted us and so I called Samsung to get an update only to be told that it is still being reviewed. Then I was told that they couldn’t accommodate us with repairs or a new dishwasher. Then they put me over to their Exchange & Refund team where Chris pretended, he didn’t hear me talking after saying Hello, Hello, Hello, 3 times, and he hung up on me. So, here we are with a $1200.00, 5-year-old dishwasher that has had the same error code 3 years in a row and have gotten no satisfaction from the manufacturer and no use of the dishwasher for almost 2 weeks!

Based on the Consumer Reports review (microwave has since been dropped from their recommended list), I purchased the SMH9187ST. It worked great for 13 months then died with the dreaded SE error. I tried resetting the control module and worked for another week. I contacted Samsung and they acted like I was crazy. But thanks to kind folks in this forum, I went to repairclinic.com and purchased the replacement model item #2024600 and part #DE94-01999C for $70. I got it in a week and took all of 5 minutes to replace. I will restate the procedure: 1. Unscrew the 2 top vent screws and slide to the left. 2. Take out the top control module screw and gently remove, watching out for the tabs on the bottom. 3. There are 6 wiring connections that pull away very easily. Mark them if you need to.4. Put everything back and youre done. Working great! So far. This was way easier than I thought. Also, I contacted Consumer Reports and they provided info for filing formal complaints with various agencies. But they must be listening because Samsung is no longer in their OTR recommended list.

The stove top works well, but the energy efficiency standard is not accurate. For an example, when a recipe indicates the dish needs to be baked or roasted at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, that dish will not be done. It is necessary to increase the cooking time and temperature to 375 degrees or sometimes 400 degrees to register the safe temperature that the dish can be eaten. The price was right, the delivery from a local company was less than desirable and the technical personnel were inexperienced.

The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!

Purchased a Samsung convection microwave oven for 299 Sing dollars and the very first day I wanted to bake muffins. Heavy smoke came out of the oven and filled the whole kitchen and spread to other rooms. I panicked and switched off and called the company. They said the technician can come only after two days. Then the technician arrived and said the coil has gone and replaced it. By then, the back of the oven looked all burned out. I wanted a replacement as it was on extended warranty, but the repair person said that it will not have any more issues. Tried to bake again, this time, the cake was not cooked in the middle, only the sides were cooked and it was all a mess. My previous oven was Sharp convection, used it for 9 years without any problem. I will never buy the Samsung oven again and will not recommend to anyone.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

After talking with Samsung I was told they wont replace the unit even if it was a day old and that their policy was to repair the unit and if they were unable to do so only then would they consider replacement... More of the same. I brought the refrigerator RS261MDWP on 11-21-2011 at Best Buy. The freezer froze up and did not drain as designed. I took out the fan that cools the refrigerator side. I called for a repair. The repair company is CE in CT, rated F with the Better Business. I am now playing games with CE to come out to repair it. Now the freezers side is not working and the controller on the front of the unit is dead. It is plainly a piece of crap. I am now playing games with both Samsung and CE. I received a brand new Samsung refrigerator model: RF263AFRS, purchased from Sears in February 2011. Despite appropriate care it failed the summer 2013 (two years!). Neither Sears nor Samsung offered to stand for the quality and the consumers concern for the excessive noise (now clearly audible through the entire two storey house!). The cooling also seems to be an issue. I am in the process of confirming the latter with an internally placed thermometer. I called both the Sears and the Samsung representatives: it appears they are not willing to investigate their failure to provide a quality product expected to perform up to expectation for at least 10 to 15 or more years similar or better than the old fridges we still own. There is something wrong with quality of Sears service and product from Samsung. Consumer be aware.

The Samsung Fridge (RS2630SH) came with the house. We moved in June 2010. The house is only 3-4 years old. The fridge started making loud squealing noises. I followed others advice and greased the compressor motor fan. It would not make noise while the repairman was here. Six months later, the freezer froze up with ice. Luckily, we purchased a home warranty, and they fixed it. Then, the freezer fan is squealing. He was able to grease that out as well. Now, the freezer was freezing up again. Its something about the defroster cycle not working. I had to get a new motherboard. Also, the ice maker stopped working, and I had to replace the ice-making unit. This is a bad product. I checked the class action lawsuit, and my model is not covered. But I think that anyone who has been having these many problems, and there are so many people out there, we should also be included.

I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

I purchased this (french door) refrigerator upon the purchase of our new home. After a year of having this appliance it started giving me problems. Freezing up, water building up in the bottom inside of the refrigerator. Had an appliance guy come out, he reset the computer part, it started working again for about 6 months. Called my home warranty again. Sent out another guy. He couldnt figure it out, sent out another guy. Stated to unplug the fridge. Let it completely defrost and then plug it back in. It started working again, one month later bam now not only the ice maker isnt working the water isnt working. Called my home warranty again, they disconnected something that should have never been put in there. Started working again, now no ice again water works. Called Samsung, told them what I have been going through. They brushed me off. Spent over 1700.00 on this damn appliance that wont even make ice, the filter alone is 50.00 every 6 months to replace. Needless to say the bag of ice I have to buy every three days that cost 4.69, and Samsung just brushes you off. I am one pissed off consumer right now.

After reading top reviews for the Samsung refrigerators, we purchased a French door stainless steel model through Lowes with an extended warranty in 2009. On the plus side, we have had no mechanical problems with the fridge to date unlike many of the complaints posted. The problem that we are experiencing is with the incredibly cheap quality of the door shelves/draw slides/draws/and hinged cold storage compartment (in other words all of the interior plastic components). They have literally become incredibly brittle and are cracking and collapsing one by one. I have had to resort to taping up the cracks to avoid them from collapsing at least temporarily. The plastic is disintegrating - Ive never seen anything like this happen and Ive owned several refrigerators in the past including a far older refrigerator of different brand that is kept in my garage. This started happening when brand new several years ago when it was still under warranty and continues today, I contacted Lowes who graciously took parts out of their floor model and replaced some of cracked shelves at no charge. This problem continues to be ongoing and I was told that I should contact Samsung and see if they would replace these so-called defects since it was still under warranty. I believe that Lowes handles the warranty in store for about a year and then you need to contact Samsung customer service for the extended warranty thereafter. Anyway I did just that and after spending a considerable time on the phone I was told that although it was indeed under warranty these interior parts are not covered, but they would sell me the replacements. Well I dont have to tell you how absurdly expensive they are and I chose not to do so. By the way I was not given any explanation as to why this was happening, nor did they admit that this was an ongoing problem. I hardly think that this issue is exclusive to my refrigerator. The reason that I am just now logging in a complaint is because the disintegration of the interior parts has gotten so bad that I can no longer just bite my tongue and stay silent - consumers need to know about this. Samsung customer service made no attempt to resolve this situation for its defective/inferior quality of its product. Showing a little customer support would have gone a long way but their indifference in this situation has lost a customer. This company is not consumer friendly and their lack of concern towards a customer especially for a product that I paid extra to extend the warranty is shocking. I would never buy another Samsung appliance again. This company should be ashamed of its customer service.

We purchased this dishwasher Model # DW80H9930US/AA on the recommendation of the HHGregg Sales Representative based on reliability. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

It absolutely amazes me that SAMSUNG thinks it is okay for a 4 year old microwave to come on anytime the door is opened. Anyone else see a problem that this is dangerous to our children whom did not realize it was not working properly, so they stuck their hand in the microwave to lay the food on the turntable - all the while the microwave was operating - WITH THE DOOR OPEN??? I have a ticket number, a chat ID number and 2 phone calls from ** from their escalation team. Each of these encounters with their support team showed no concerns nor did they think they were responsible or liable for anything, they will NOT fix my microwave. So, for now I am using my 15 year old Sharp microwave in my garage. I replaced the keypad after 2 years because if you boiled anything on the right side of your stove the vent is not adequate enough nor is the keypad waterproofed so the condensation gets in and shorts it out. The repairman informed me Samsung had since figured this out on the next years model and corrected it, but did they repair my keypad? NO! I suppose I shouldve known better than to think they would care that my microwave comes on as soon as anyone opens the door, they were not concerned in the least! Guess my new 60 inch TV will be a Panasonic, that definitely changed my mind.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in Aug 2013. The soda stream compartment failed in the first 6 months and was replaced under warranty. A year later, the fan in the back of the fridge made loud noises. It was covered with ice so the repairman replaced the entire panel. A year after that, it froze again and the repairman pulled it out and thawed it with a hairdryer. This continued every year. Now that I am in year 5, the main display is now inoperable and beeps continuously. The freezer is 48 degrees and the fridge is at 43. It is not cooling at all. Repairman out today said the main panel needs to be replaced. He got it running, but now the compressor sounds like a helicopter. I would never expect this amount of aggravation from a quality brand. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! We have decided to buy another brand after 5 years. You would think it would have lasted at least 15.Updated on 08/16/2018: I called Samsung on Aug 3 and was told since my fridge was just under 5 years old, the warranty on the electronics (power board) and compressor would be covered. I submitted all the requested information on their website on Aug 6. After almost 2 weeks (freezer at 62 degrees), a Samsung repair tech came out. He said its not covered under warranty. The first time they put Freon because they couldnt find the leak. They came again and said it is not fixable that I should be getting a new refrigerator from Samsung. Went painstaking through the process to the point I was told they are locating my model. Once they do and its on the truck theyll call with the delivery date. Didnt hear anything for a week. Called back I and was told since the refrigerator is out of warranty they are not giving me a new one. I said the compressor is not fixable and has a 5 year warranty. I was told that doesnt matter because the refrigerator warranty is up and the compressor is not fixable. So why do you claim a 5 year warranty on compressor. If you cant fix or replace the compressor its my problem??? BTW the compressor is in a location they cannot reach, so they say. $3000 for a refrigerator that has had issues after 18 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor w/ 3 different calls. Finally got one, Ricky, and he swore hed get back to me in 3 hour. That was a week ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theyve hung up on me 3x and never called back. And each call since 6/29/18 is an hour. You need to go through the whole story. After telling me I was getting a new refrigerator and waiting a week to find out, no, no refrigerator not one person from Samsung called to tell me they changed their minds. I am now going to get a lawyer.

I should have listened to myself and only buy made with pride in the U.S. products UGH! We bought a SAMSUNG model RS265TDRS for an apartment that we use only on weekends. With 2 people, I hardly think that fridge gets much use but I do stock it with meats and other frozen food. I happen to notice my dog was licking something at the floor at the bottom of the fridge and that is when I noticed the leak was coming from the fridge. I open the freezer and refrigerator and everything is melting. I thought I maybe left the door ajar earlier ? NO, I did not! Who is going to pay for the spoilage now? Is Samsung going to reimburse me for all the food that got wasted? I also got Samsung TVs , Range, Microwave, Dishwasher, the whole works! Am I going to expect those to break down anytime soon?

We purchased a new Samsung (model RSH7PNRS) side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water through the door. This is supposed to be Samsungs latest and greatest design. From the start, the ice maker has never worked properly! It makes ice but will not dispense it. In less than 2 days, the ice chute froze up. Samsung and the dealer, Omni electronics, refused to fix the unit, or give a refund. It’s such a huge disappointment! Unfortunately, we paid cash, and have no recourse without going to the court, and bearing those expenses. We may picket by the dealer’s showroom! Dont buy Samsung products!

Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!

Of course the warranty ran out and got it fixed. Two days after that the same thing happened again. We had it fixed again and it was good for six months and different lights are flashing. We will never buy anything Samsung ever again. Its junk! Having problems with my Samsung Phone also. GARBAGE!

We purchased our refrig in Sept of 2016 with the extended warranty on the ice maker. The ice maker has now totally frozen up and cannot be used. We do have a tech coming out tomorrow. But after some research I discovered there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung because of the problems I have read from others on this site. According to the lawsuit the problems were discovered in 2015 but Samsung continued to put the inferior ice maker in their refrigerators. Once in a while the food in the freezer has frost on it like the freezer door was not completely shut. My son had the same issue with multiple repair calls and no resolution. For now this will be my last Samsung product to purchase. I even called the company this week. SO BUYER BEWARE.

This time it will take 10 days to get the replacement part. We did get the protection plan but the company that fixes the refrigerator never has the parts. It has to break four times with exactly the same problem before they will replace. It is only 2 years old and cost $2500.00. NEVER will we ever buy a Samsung again. I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

Purchased the Samsung refrigerator Model #RSG257AARS on March 28, 2010 from HH Gregg. July 22, 2013, the refrigerator stopped working. We had never received a written warranty. Looked on Internet at Samsung website and it said there was a ONE-YEAR warranty. Called a repairman. Compressor was bad. Cost of repair approximately $1200. Cost of service call, $80. A couple of days later, the repair company called and said the compressor was under warranty and they would fix it. August 23, 2013 refrigerator stopped working a second time. According to the repairman, Samsung products are JUNK! We looked at Consumer Guides before purchasing and this refrigerator was at the top of the list. Why? I also found (on the Internet) a class action suit filed against Samsung for their shoddy refrigerators. Repairman said Samsung is flooding the market with products that are untested. We have a 45-year-old General Electric refrigerator in our garage that is working fine. That is where our food is right now.

My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completel
My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completely turns off (front display, interior lights - both sides, and compressors) when outside temps start to warm up. This happened 1 time approx. after a year of ownership, already out of warranty by that point by the way. During the cool months it never shuts off. Again a little more frequently the following year. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. Pay for all of this and pray it fixes problem. The ice maker has never been sufficient during the months when you need ice the most, this has been a constant complaint on many forums. Totally dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase a Samsung product.

I called back and Samsung said order had been canceled (without telling me) because out of warranty. I said they promised to send me shelf. After several more phone calls and escalations, Samsung said they would not abide by their promise and said I would have to pay for shelf. Also, the ice maker went out shortly after the warranty expired and that costs $500 to fix. Suffice to say, I would not recommend buying a Samsung refrigerator and Samsungs customer service is awful.

I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. So, I called Sum Service Company, which is the representative of Samsung in Iran, but no one was responsible for the problems! Once again, I had called the Sum service more than 50 times. After one month, Sum Service Company replaced our refrigerator with a new one. But the new one has the same problem - the water freezing unit still does not operate. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. In the last two months, this issue affected me both mentally and financially. I request you to advise the Sum Service Company about my problem as soon as possible. We had this refrigerator for a few months. The ice maker broke so Samsung had someone come out in a few days. He told me because they are made with plastic. So this may be a recurring problem? We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. If I would have had a clue I would have bought another brand. I will not by anything Samsung again.

The rubber gasket is old and tore, water leaking all over my floor. Simple to get out. But Samsung does not sell just the door gasket, You must Buy The Entire Door Panel. Why not? It’s holding the consumer hostage for higher priced parts replacements. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. Lasagna was ice cold in center after 2 hours because temperature was never attained. I did multiple tests on each oven and at different temp and none worked properly. Samsung has repair service come out and same problem... however when repair called Samsung there was NO fix for this problem. They apparently think its no big deal. Just wait forever for your oven to maybe get to set temperature and then guess how long it takes for a recipe to cook. Fail.Ordering new mother board and sensors but tech is convinced that wont fix the problem. Going back today to talk with sales department at JC Penney. Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. The first ref I had lasted for 19 years (other brand)-without any repair. I just disposed it since I wanted new one.

I bought the Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF28HFEDBWW/HDPP in 2014 and the ice maker hasnt worked right since. It started out that I researched refrigerators thoroughly before buying, went to Home Depot to order and thought everything was fine. They didnt tell me that the refrigerator I wanted didnt come in white, so they changed it to one that did. It was a completely different refrigerator! I didnt know this until my old broken one was on the truck and they started to install the new one. At that point I called Home Depot and they said, “We’ll return it.” I didnt have a refrigerator that worked, so against my better judgment I kept it thinking its just a different color Samsung, it should be fine.Within weeks we noticed the ice maker wasnt working correctly. It was dripping water, inside and outside down the door. We thought we werent closing the doors correctly, so we just kept wiping up the spills. When I wiped the front of the door, the paint chipped off because water had gone under the paint, rusted the door, and created bubbles. At this point we also saw the ice was jamming in the tray, and we had to keep breaking up the ice.To make a long story short, 3 years and at least 6 (soon to be 7) service calls later, the problem hasnt been fixed. We did buy the 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot, so thankfully all the parts, service and even a new refrigerator door have been covered. The problem is that 3 years later, its still not fixed, and they have replaced everything that can be replaced. The last 2 service calls, were to document that theres nothing more that they can do, and theyre insisting on another because they havent documented things correctly. To say Im frustrated is an understatement. Im disappointed in Samsung as a brand, and furious at Home Depot for the run around theyve been giving me. I will continue to call and have them service this stupid refrigerator until I get a new one. I will keep jumping through their dang hoops, until I get a refrigerator that works, but I WILL NEVER purchase another Samsung or buy another large appliance from Home Depot.

My dad, my brother, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law told me not to go with Samsung, but I didnt listen. Now, Im paying the price. In less than 8mo Ive had 5 technician visits to attempt to fix my dishwasher. After 5 visits I finally got frustrated, and decided to call samsung to see if they would replace my dishwasher since its obviously defective. In short, their answer was no! First time the dishwasher broke was about 4mo after I purchased it. It would stop mid cycle with an error code which meant that it got too hot. That took 2 visits and as many weeks to repair. At the 7mo mark (July 1st), it stopped washing the dishes in the bottom rack properly. I contacted Samsung July 3rd. It’s July 24th and the dishwasher is still not repaired. Technician came out and said that he had to replace two parts, the bottom spray rail and the control panel. He had to order them. That was visit #3. Visit #4 was when he came to replace the parts. After a couple of hours of work the dishwasher was still not repaired. He said that there was another part broken, the motor that moves the rail. He’s suppose to come back Wednesday, July 29th. In the past 8mo, according to my count, 4 different parts have broken on Samsung’s “top of the line” dishwasher. I hope my review keeps someone from making the same mistake I made. moral of the story: listen to advice...do not buy samsung appliances. Theyre inferior quality.
