These are NOT good refrigerators. Have owned a French door Samsung for about 8 years now... Bought it at Lowes for a big price. Had trouble with the drain freezing up and leaking water all over the place, which luckily I was able to fix myself after much research. Now the circuit board is malfunctioning... Beeps constantly, and freezes your stuff in the fridge section... I have tried everything but calling a repairman... Pure unadulterated crap for the price paid. Im gonna toss it and call myself very lucky to be rid of it. Get yourself a GE or Whirlpool is my advice... Anything but this!

I installed a Samsung refrigerator 15 months ago and now it keeps flipping into demo mode. The freezer seems to work but not the main Customer Service said they cant extend my warranty to cover this one issue because it has been out of warranty for too long. Seriously, 3 months for a $2400.00 refrigerator. Of course, I am going to pay to have it repaired. I advise anyone considering a Samsung fridge not to or pay for the extended warranty.

We have had MANY issues with our Samsung refrigerator that is LESS than 5 yrs old and cost OVER $3000!! Over the past year, the fan and refrigeration coils behind the back panel FREQUENTLY ice up, causing the fan to stop cooling the fridge, and therefore spoiling all the food. We then have to move any salvageable food into coolers to allow the fridge to completely defrost. This happens every month or so, since the issues began, and we are not alone by any means if you research reviews on the web.It is model RF28HFEDBSR/AA with French Doors, icemaker/water dispenser and a Bottom Freezer. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung does not assume ANY responsibility for their faulty products, hence the class action lawsuit in USA which started in 2010, and the internet is FULL of angry, disappointed consumers with the exact same stories. Samsungs service bulletin regarding the issue recommends replacing more parts, but at your own expense, and without evidence of even resolving the issues to consumers satisfaction. I would strongly advise steering clear of any Samsung refrigerator, and plan to boycott them myself in any future purchases!!

I purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove) last year around July 4th during a sale at Lowes. I took delivery at different times as all items were not in stock. A year and 2 weeks later, the ice maker has stopped working. When I originally noticed that no ice was being made, the ice tray (where the ice cubes are made) was froze up. I removed the excess ice and waited. Nothing. I researched on the internet and tried to fix the problem myself. Changed the filter, checked water line and then hit the reset button. The ice maker will make one batch of ice and then no more.I called Samsung and because the warranty was out by 2 weeks, they wanted $160 service call, plus parts and additional labor, if necessary. I declined. I called Lowes to see if they would stand by their product and help. Nothing. I understand that the warranty is out, by two weeks, but I would like Lowes and Samsung would stand behind their products more and support their customers. I would understand if we were talking months or years, but this is two weeks. Actually less, if I consider when I actually took possession of the refrigerator, because it was after the July 4th date and the failure was actually before I reported it to Samsung and Lowes. To top it off, the price of a new ice maker is only $123, which I have on order now. So the $160 service call, plus parts and labor seems a little excessive. In addition to the refrigerator ice maker issue, the dishwasher does not clean as well as my 15 year old working Whirlpool that I removed. And 80% of the time has a foul odor in it, the day after washing dishes. The microwave has worked, but has a very annoying design feature. You can not operate the microwave and use the kitchen timer at the same time. Very poor design. If I had to do it all over again, I would have paid a little more and went with Whirlpool products instead of buying the Samsung products. I will not make that mistake again and do not plan on buying any products from them and will favor doing business with Home Depot over Lowes if I have a choice.

2 repairs in 18 months. The first time the unit died completely. $115 to replace the thermal switch. Then a few months later...the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Just cleaned the ribbon cable connector myself. Why would a company of this size and reputation, not address this? My old GE over the stove microwave lasted 20 years. Ill be lucky to get 2 out of this one. My last Samsung appliance of any sort! Period.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased the FE710DRS Stainless Steel Flexible Dual Convection Smooth-Top Electric Range in September 2011. This week as I was preheating the oven, the wiring caught fire. It was really frightening. Filled our downstairs with black smoke and left an awful smell. Hoping that Samsung will respond positively since we paid $1300 and its only 4 years old. Will update.

Water constantly leaks and pools under vegetable drawers. We must chip ice away every few days so that food doesnt freeze. This fridge has the ice maker and water/ice dispenser on door. We turned off the ice maker and disconnected the water thinking it would stop the water leaking but it did not. Ice maker worked great but the water leak is ridiculous. We will never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again.

Samsung RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator - July 2014 we noticed that our freezer was not working. No ice and the food was thawing out. I called Samsung because we had purchase the unit in 2009 but I have always at least gotten 10 years out of a refrigerator. The customer service representative agreed with me but said the only thing she could do for me was to sell me a 1-year extended warranty. That was her solution so that I could get someone out to check it and repair it. So I bought the warranty. In the meantime I lost a whole freezer full of food. I called the service company and they said the soonest I could get someone to come look at it would be September. So I said I have to go without a freezer for 2 months? Well we had no choice and keep a cooler full of ice out on our patio so we could get through the rest of the summer without ice and a freezer. The first repair man arrived in September. He ordered some parts and we were told to call them as soon as the parts arrived and they would send out another repair person to install and repair the freezer. So the parts came in a few weeks, we called the repair service company and had a repair person arrive in another 2 weeks. So it is now October, no freezer and the regular refrigerator part of the unit is acting up. The second repair man shows up but the parts that arrived were not correct. He was able to bypass something so we could keep food cold. But he also ordered other parts and checked the other side of the unit. It also needs parts. So 2 more weeks wait for more parts. It is now December 2014 and the parts arrive, we call in for the third repair person. He arrives, re-checked everything and said that none of the new parts ordered would fix the problem so he ordered more parts. Those parts arrive in January 2015. Still no freezer and our other refrigerator side of this unit is getting worse. We called again for another repair person. The fourth repair person came out and said they did not need the parts that they found a leak in the line. He repaired it. It worked for a few months and then started all over again. A fifth repair person came out but not until April. He checked everything and they had to recharge the unit again. So it worked until June - this is 2015. So we have gone 1 year with it working for a month or maybe two then we start all over again.Anyway they said that in June they could not get back until the first of September. The sixth service person charged it again and it was good until yesterday. Now I have to call again and have them come out again. This has been a 2-year process of an on and off refrigeration unit. Samsung should have given me credit and I should have been able to buy another unit. Instead I am having to basically have someone come to my home every other month to work on this unit. We are totally frustrated and would love to ship this to Samsung so they they can use it as a paperweight because that is about all it can do consistently.

In 2013 we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator French door up and down. We paid 2,999.00. First we had the ice bucket replaced twice. This took several months each time to get a service order number. The problem existed. Finally the third repairman told us there was a Freon leak which couldnt be fixed. In March 2015, Samsung finally agreed it was a manufacturing problem and we would be refunded the full amount of our purchase price. I have made well over 50 documented calls to find out when we would receive our check. We have been without a refrigerator for over three months. Each time I call, I speak to a different person. I have been told I would receive a satisfaction survey many times which I have never received. We are still waiting for our check which was apparently mailed over a month ago. This whole experience has convinced me Samsung does not care one bit about their Customer Service. We have many Samsung products. I now pray nothing happens to any other Samsung product. Im not sure I could go through this awful nightmare again.

Purchased a RF267AERS/XAA French door model with bottom freezer. After 2 years, ice maker quit working and started freezing over and leaking water. 2 attempts to repair have failed by a certified Samsung repair specialist. I have read all the reviews with some of the same problems. I think a class action law suit is warranted especially since these are design defects from the start. Samsung is a HORRIBLE company must be made in North Korea!! I experienced the same POOR customer service from Samsung as everyone. They do nothing past the 1 year warranty even if it is a design defect. I know I will never buy a Samsung product of any kind again. It is a total POS!!!

I bought a Samsung fridge 10 months ago and the plastic frame of one shelf has cracked. Samsung wont replace the shelf under warranty. I searched and found other people with the same problem. These cracks are not due to excessive weight - they wont close when you remove everything thats on the shelf. Its Samsungs manufacturing problem but they wont replace the shelf for free, even under warranty.

Samsung Flex duo range NE59J7750WS - I wish I would have found this site BEFORE I purchased this range. In theory, this was everything I wanted, replacing an 18-year old Maytag. Plugged this range in and the flex duo range doesnt work! Keeps showing error code C-20. Samsung said because we installed it that it wasnt covered under warranty. Nowhere in the literature does it say that. I called Sears and Samsung multiple times in two days. If I plugged it in and the rest of the machine works, its not me plugging it in wrong! Samsungs customer service, or lack thereof makes me wish I could return this and put my old rusty one back. Dont buy from Samsung! Especially if you plug it in yourself! How ridiculous! I feel like Ive wasted $800, and will need to purchase a simpler model in the future. I used to love Samsung, but this fiasco ensures I will no longer buy their products.

I purchased an 9187 OTC Microwave in 2010. In 2012 and again in 2014, I have had to replace the control panel due to the 5E error. Samsung insists this is normal, that the electronics routinely fail during the life of the appliance. I have tried isolating the ribbon cable as suggested by some comments, without success. Ditto for unplugging and cleaning the leads to the keypad. With 300 complaints on this site alone, something is wrong with the design of these microwaves and I am surprised Samsung will not acknowledge the issue.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

At the beginning of September 2014 my wife noticed water collecting in the left hand produce drawer, so we called the local authorized Samsung repair company to fix our refrigerator. Here it is at the first of February, and 9 service technician visits later, more than $250.00 in food ruined plus the Initial cost of the service technicians and 14 calls to Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG and were told its defective and they said they were giving me back the full cost of the refrigerator only to be told a week later that they were only going to give me $916, which is less than the full price. Nobody from Samsung has called me back, nobody from Samsung has e-mailed me. So now Im turning it over to my attorney in principle alone.

The back wall of the unit is coated in ice and in order to defrost, it must be done manually - I use a hairdryer. The drink dispenser is a constant drip of slushy water. Bought 6/24/13, arrival 7/9/13 SS No. W65043BD501879 - the ice maker leaks through water and ice levers. These need to be two separate levers, not on top of each other. On 7/10/14 a new ice maker installed. Today 1/11/15, still leaking. Ice not cubed as requested, pieces. Water runs down door to floor each time levers pushed and even when not in use. I have called three times, not good English, not a script for this problem. I called authorized dealer, he told me how terrible Samsung was but did install new ice maker. Nothing changed. We are retired and on a budget save for 15 years to buy new appliances. The Samsung refrigerator has never worked properly, warranty serviceman was out three times to repair ice maker. They replaced board and ran a tube of caulking around unit. He said it was bad design and was sucking air from fridge section. It worked two weeks. Our warranty was up Sept 24. We tried to renew warranty before and they said it had to be added 90 days before it was up. My husband has brain and lung cancer and I have multiple myeloma. We have a year old fridge and no ice living in Phoenix Az. Believe me we use ice, although its just the two of us. Thank god, Im 67 my husband is 72. This seems like a very unfair practice by Samsung. We have had many other appliances over the years and they have worked well. The old fridge is 15 years old and still working in the garage. We renovated our kitchen over a year ago and bought new appliances (fridge and range/ oven) at Lowe’s from Samsung. I thought we would be getting a quality product because the LCDs and monitors Ive purchased in the past have all been quality. We rarely used the oven at home but noticed that it would take an hour or longer to heat up. You would just hear it cut off and on the whole time. When I contacted them they said that I had to pay for the repair because it had been one month out of warranty even though Ive seen numerous posts about this issue from other Samsung range oven owners model number FTQ353IWUX. The fridge has the change filter warning that randomly goes off and the ice maker gets ice all over the fridge door. We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldnt waste our time because hes gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that theyve removed mostly Samsung fridges from peoples homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! Thats not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!

We bought Samsung side by around May 2012. It has had several issues beginning almost immediately. The front panel went out twice and during the second time all the food spoiled. The technician had the nerve to say it was our fault because someone had to hold the buttons on the panel for it to go off. When I told him we were sleeping and woke up to this issue, he called us liars. Then a few months later this crappy appliance began making a horrible noise. This time a motor had to be replaced. So for two days we had to defrost it, so no food in our house for 4 days (2 to defrost/ 2 to get cold enough for food). So today, not even 3 years later, a tech came out and said the entire rear panel of the freezer and all components behind it need to be replaced. When is enough, enough? We are so angry they just wont replace this crappy Samsung refrigerator. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!

Samsung Refrigerator RS2530BBP - We purchased this refrigerator from Conn’s Appliance in March 2009. About 4 months ago, we noticed that the refrigerator compartment was not cooling. We researched the problem on the internet and found a lot of people had reported the same problem with this particular model. Following the suggestions on the internet, we removed the panel in the rear of the freezer compartment and found the evaporator core was completely covered in ice. We used a hair dryer and melted the ice. This resolved the problem, but only temporarily.Within 2 weeks, the refrigerator compartment was warming up again. We, again, took the panel off in the freezer and melted the ice. One of the suggestions we found was to replace the sensor on the evaporator core so we ordered a new sensor and replaced it. This did not resolve the problem. We called 4 different appliance repair companies and none would work on a Samsung refrigerator. We have resorted to thawing out the freezer every 2 weeks to keep the refrigerator cold enough to keep our food from spoiling. At this point, we are shopping for a new refrigerator and we are NOT looking at Samsung. We have Samsung TVs in our house and Samsung cell phones and have not had any problems with them but we will never again buy a Samsung refrigerator.

Our experience with the Samsung refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer, ice/water in door) has been a big disappointment. The ice-maker never worked well - the ice gets wet then freezes over. The refrigerator coils accumulate frost and ice and the fan starts to rattle and eventually die when it hits the ice. An appliance repair company replaced the evaporator cover to create a new seal, and installed a new drain kit ($400), but only 3 1/2 weeks later the same problem occurred. They came out again to defrost it, but said they would not service this refrigerator after that - that it is a design defect that Samsung should recall. Three weeks later, the same problem occurred, over Christmas with a house full of family and a refrigerator full of food. I called Samsung but they wont do anything about it. Samsung, if youre reading this, you may think youre saving money in the short run, but in the long run, your customers are falling away like flies. I strongly discourage anyone from buying Samsung refrigerators, and I will no longer buy Samsung products of any kind.

Problem: Water dispenser began leaking immediately upon installation. Purged system of air but leak continued. Then within a week or so of use, the water dispenser began making a vibrating noise. The noise was in the area where the water line leads into the back of the refrigerator. Solution: After repair service made three attempts, one by replacing the water valve. This eliminated the vibrating noise for a day. The vibrating noise was continuous. The third service call was removing the water filter. There was no vibration or leaking when the filter was not in the refrigerator. The service repairman suggested leaving the filter out for a day then install a new filter. We installed a new filter the next day. It worked. We have been leak free and noise free for several days. So, if you have either of these problems or both, I suggest you remove the filter and install a new one before calling service. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowes because I bought the item there with the extended warranty. Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldnt locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowes manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowes provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isnt something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers. The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

We bought our Samsung microwave model SMH8165W on Feb 23, 2011. I know this b/c I actually registered online w/ Samsung to get the extended 1 year + 3 month warranty. They have engineered their microwave to be built to last barely above a year. Let me say, it is beautifully designed and at an inexpensive price point. It was the best deal at the time. It had features that we NEVER used - like, any of the snack features. My husband still loves it.... BUT... within a year, one of the LED legs blew out in the first number. We ignored that. It wasnt big enough to bother, you could still read the number. Id already misplaced any paperwork. Now, on Feb 18, 2014 - almost 3 years to the day that we purchased our Samsung we have another interesting error. Our under microwave light that goes from On, to Night light, to Off.. it always stays ON. One of the lights blew out so we changed it thinking that maybe that was the problem. Nope, both bulbs now burn brightly. We are out of warranty. We wont be buying Samsung again. We actually need a light on at night to cook, being in a dark kitchen. So in the meantime Im buying a set of 3 stick on LED lights for $6 on Amazon. One LED light will last 1000 hours. Lets see if it outlasts the Samsung.

Ive owned the Samsung Fridge for 28 months and noticed that items in the freezer were thawing out. Called Samsung was given their authorized repair shop. 3 business day wait (Do they have a lot of work?). The coolant chemical Freon was leaking. I tell Samsung this is not normal and they say Well its past warranty so you are on your own. Over $1,000 to repair to the fridge is basically worthless. No sense repairing the existing piece of garbage so I will buy a new one. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a Samsung. Quality is poor and they will NOT back you up when this problem occurs.

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!

Im a 67 year old female who obviously cant remove the oven nor do I know how. The technician left without repairing the microwave. After another long tedious phone call with Samsung they had a different service call me to schedule appointment. The technician was suppose to be here between 1-5. Its now 5:30 - no technician, no phone call. Contacted Samsung and they will have the service company call me within 1-2 days to schedule ANOTHER appointment. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. I not only dont recommend this product, but I also would suggest that you avoid Samsung products altogether. We purchased a dryer with matching washer and have had multiple problems with them. After six technician visits we still dont have a fully working washer or dryer and to make things worse they have told us we need to pay if we want another technician visit. I sent the following email to Samsungs supposed executive customer relations department as well as directly to the Samsung US CEO, it was completely ignored by them.Up until just recently I have been a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned or currently own monitors, mobile phones, washers, dryers, and TVs. I have been a loyal customer but my most recent purchase has me awestruck. About four months ago we purchased a SmartCare VRT laundry set. The day after it was installed we woke to find our home with a strong smell of gas. I determined it was coming from the laundry room and suspected the laundry appliance installation was at fault. We called Samsung for service and a technician was sent out. The technician investigated the gas leak and informed me that the gas lines to our new home were leaking and not one of the Samsung appliances. I called the gas company and when they arrived they found that there was a gas leak, but it wasn’t in the house lines. It was coming from the dryer. We called Samsung a second time. When the technician performed the second appointment he acknowledged that the dryer was leaking and scheduled another appointment to replace the faulty part. Three visits from the Samsung technician and finally we get a working dryer after two weeks. A few months later my wife started complaining about the washer stopping and throwing an error in the middle of hot water loads. After it happened a few times I told her to call Samsung for repair. The technician came out and spent about thirty minutes with the washer. He eventually called me in and told me that it has hot water and that there wasn’t much he could do. I informed the technician that when my wife pointed out the issue I recalled an error message “4C” being displayed when the wash would stop functioning and constantly beep with the error message. After basically living with a washer that won’t use hot water cycles for a couple of weeks my wife noticed that the dryer wasn’t drying clothes normally. We called Samsung again and informed them that our washer was still malfunctioning and now the dryer was not working well either. This time before the appointment I spent a couple of hours recording video on my phone of the 4C error and erratic behavior of the washer. The next day the technician arrived and spent about fifteen minutes with the dryer. The technician informed me that we shouldn’t use specific features (smart features like auto dry) on our dryer and that we should use timed dry. I was told that although the dryer had some warmth that there is heat so the dryer is working fine but at no time did the technician check the temperature with, how does he know if it’s getting up to proper temperature? Yeah, the dryer gets warm but not hot, in fact not even close to hot. When I mentioned the washer and show the technician the video of the malfunction, I was told it wasn’t on the work order and even though we called for service for it and had video of the malfunction that it could not be looked at because it wasn’t on the service order. Tonight, I followed the technician’s instructions and used the time dry to dry a handful of clothes. After one hour the clothes on high heat with eco dry turned off the clothes were still quite wet. The dryer clearly doesn’t work as it did a month ago. The technician also recommended cleaning our ducts but seriously it’s a six-month-old home and my wife does maybe three loads a week for two people, so the equipment is hardly being overworked much less should I have a duct problem. I also noticed that my wife is very good about cleaning the dryer lint catcher. She does it every load from what I see. I hate to ramble on but as you can see this has been nothing less than an adventure and a complete waste of my time not to mention the time off from work involved in six technician visits that didn’t result in our appliances being fixed. I recently posted all this information to the Samsung Facebook page and it was completely ignored for a week which is simply insulting at this point.

The company I purchased it from who is also my repairman stated he just repaired another one the previous week. It sounds to me like this is a huge issue with Samsung refrigerators. Apparently you have to move the refrigerator out and turn water off at back each time you change filter (never had another refrigerator that required that). The dishwasher repair was so expensive I elected to buy a new Kenmore. The refrigerator nightmare has been going on for 3 months with Samsung customer no service. These people jerked me around for 3 months (over 20 hours talking with them to fix the problem). My advice is do NOT allow Samsung to send out a repairman. Samsung will tell you its covered (as did the repairman) but when the job is complete you will be charged. I then got stuck with a large bill. If yours breaks call your own appliance repairman and save yourself your sanity. Samsung is a greasy/sleazy company selling beautiful but poorly made appliances. Their own authorized repair depot says they can put in a new water pump but wont guarantee it because my dishwasher is 2 farther to the right than is usual. That is, frankly nonsense. Theyve been here twice, then told me to hire a plumber to fix his mess. That cost another $185.00. They cannot diagnose the problem. With all the testing the steam peeled the laminate off my brand new cabinets. This dishwasher is nothing more than a money pit. My regular service man refused to service it saying that Samsung is garbage. No wonder it is so quiet. They may have well have put in a water pistol than that ineffective pump that is in there. I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. It has never worked. I stopped using it after the first week because the dishes came out as dirty as they went in, and has been sitting there for cosmetic reasons until I thought I might have it looked at. Now it just wont complete a cycle.

However, it started not finishing the complete normal cycle giving me a s3 code. I had my repairman to look at it ($75). He also had a discussion with online help. We ordered the part ($50). He installed it ($100), still got the same thing and my repairman was told this may not fix it. Then we would have to order a pump, not knowing how much a pump is and $225.00 later and being told this could happen in another 2-4 years. We have bought a new dishwasher, and sure isnt a SAMSUNG. Based on the Consumer Reports review (microwave has since been dropped from their recommended list), I purchased the SMH9187ST. It worked great for 13 months then died with the dreaded SE error. I tried resetting the control module and worked for another week. I contacted Samsung and they acted like I was crazy. But thanks to kind folks in this forum, I went to repairclinic.com and purchased the replacement model item #2024600 and part #DE94-01999C for $70. I got it in a week and took all of 5 minutes to replace. I will restate the procedure: 1. Unscrew the 2 top vent screws and slide to the left. 2. Take out the top control module screw and gently remove, watching out for the tabs on the bottom. 3. There are 6 wiring connections that pull away very easily. Mark them if you need to.4. Put everything back and youre done. Working great! So far. This was way easier than I thought. Also, I contacted Consumer Reports and they provided info for filing formal complaints with various agencies. But they must be listening because Samsung is no longer in their OTR recommended list.

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot
Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left. Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurions Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair. Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerators only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the Decembers repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with Januarys repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy! Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesnt count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. Im still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and cant be repaired. This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! I have a horrible feeling that Home Depot or Asurion will make me be stuck with this crappy refrigerator after I spent $2,300 on it!

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung refrigerator and it has been nothing but a money pit. We bought this from Lowes and it is no secret that this product is a piece of junk. Dishwasher cleans great, but after it was hooked up for a couple months one day the dishes did not come out clean. (I must say right off the bat that the dishwasher was in place for a year before it was hooked up so, although it had not been unwrapped, the warranty was up before the problem started.) Thought there might be dirt or something caught in the bottom under the screen. Took the screen and spin wheel thing off to clean it and found the problem was a small bit of plastic from the top rack had broken off and was stopping the little wheel from spinning the arms the water comes out of. Thought it may have broken because I had moved the top rack up to accommodate a tall item. Did not move the top rack again after that, but a month later, had the exact same problem caused by another bit of plastic broken off the rack. It is very annoying since there are 13 or 14 long screws that have to be removed to fix it. Would hate to be paying a repair person every time this happened! Seems awfully cheap production to have the racks falling apart and causing the dishwasher to stop working!

My Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model # RF32FMQDBSR/AA quit cooling after 12.5 months of use. It took two months and two visits from the technician to determine that the problem was with the sealed refrigeration system. The first trip the technician replace a circuit board and left immediately. This did not fix the problem. Communication with the Samsung provided service technician was very poor. At first the technician has excuses for not coming back then he just did not respond to calls. I called Samsung and requested another service company. They referred me back to the same guy. After each call I was would be called within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. He did eventually come back (it has now been two months) and changed the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. He said the problem was in the sealed refrigeration system and could not be repaired. So I Called Samsung to ask how this would be handled. The sealed refrigeration system has a five year warranty. First, I was told that they would exchange the unit and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Nothing! So I called back and they said they wanted a second opinion from a second technician and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again no response. So I called again and They had referred me back to the same company as before. When I told them that this is the same company as before they said they would look for another company and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again I had to call them to get a status. They said that they did not have a second company in the area to get the second opinion; therefore, they could not exchange the unit, and that I would be getting a refund instead. Every time I call it just gets worse. They say I will only get a partial refund. So I asked if the unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system how come I cannot get an exchange or get it repaired. Samsung customer executive care said the warranty is not valid because there is no service available in my area to fix the sealed system. You think they would replace it. Nope! It has now been over three months and I am waiting on the emails with the instructions on how I am to proceed.

I am writing this letter to inform Samsung and Home Depot of a very real problem that my family and I have with one of your products. We bought a refrigerator on November of 2017 from Home Depot. Very good looking fridge. The sales personnel talked up a very good advertise for it and it was priced very good. Also we were told by Home Depot that it had a 2 year warranty. We didnt think anything about extending a warranty due to the Samsung name being strong in our household. Samsung phones to Tvs and computer monitors. Until March of this year 2019 hit. We noticed the bottom portion where the freezer is starting to ice up. Lots of ice crystals forming all over the food. We thought, well maybe its because we are running the swamp cooler and the humidity is entering the fridge when we open it. Never gave it a thought that less than a year and a half later that something would be wrong with our brand new fridge. Boy were we wrong! A month later, my wife came home and everything in the fridge had melted and spoiled! We checked the temperature on the door display and it displayed the right temperature. Or should I say, the temperature it was supposed to be at. After panicking and trying to salvage whatever food was left by moving it to our garage fridge, we decided to browse the internet for answers. And boy did we find a ton of them with these model types. Apparently this model has an issue which you Samsung will not acknowledge! So after read the instruction of the hundreds of people with the same problem, we reset the fridge and its display came back with the true temperature reading. The fridge is usually set at 0 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. It came back at 57 for the freezer and 71 for the fridge. Big difference after the reset. So obviously now, the fridge kicks back on and starts to cool. So this now happens about once or twice a week. We have to unplug the fridge every 2 to 3 days just to make sure the on board computer gets the right reading and clears the glitch this fridge has. And almost every time we do reset it, the temperature is off by 5 to 10 degrees. We are obviously frustrated. But thats not the worst part. We call Samsung to get someone to repair the fridge because as we were told It has a 2 year warranty and we were told that, No, your model has only 1 year warranty. We were shocked! Not only by that but by when we told Samsung that we were told by Home Depot that it supposedly had a 2 year warranty, that Samsung actually came back with, Oh sorry, we changed it this year. How can you sell an item, tell the customer it comes with 2 year warranty, not only did Home Depot say it, but when you google Samsung refrigerator warranty, it also says 2 years. Then when one breaks, back out of it completely and say Our bad, its one year now. We have 2 kids, we are not rich in any way. We work very hard and try our best to do everything we can for our family. We mustard up the finances to buy this fridge. Not only did we buy the fridge, we also bought a Samsung dishwasher for a matching set. And now we sit here with a fridge we cant use. We lost 300 dollars worth of food and have a $2,000.00 dollar piece of furniture in the kitchen now. After arguing with Samsung for hours which by the way were very rude on the phone, they did us a favor by sending a tech out free of charge to look at it. The guy came out, dusted off the back and cleaned the front grill at the bottom and said theres nothing wrong with it and that there was nothing that he could do. Didnt do any testing on it at all! He actually said its probably our fault for by not monthly cleaning the back of it? Are you serious.? Our Kenmore in the garage has been running for 21 years non stop. And Samsung wants to blame us because there was some dust on the back of the fridge? Wow Samsung, you really know how to stand behind your products. This has set our family back bad financially. We have to use our old fridge in the garage now which is smaller and doesnt accommodate our now growing family, which is the reason we upgraded. Or should I say downgraded. We lost a lot of food. My son has allergies so we have to buy the expensive gluten free food for him. We are still paying on the fridge that you wont repair because of a warranty you lied about. Or that you said changed the next year after our purchase. The ice maker in the fridge is another story. Doesnt work, has to be cleared everyday or it wont make ice. All this in less than 2 years of owning it. I will not let this go. I will write, paste and pass this story anyway I can. This is not right for you to sell a product and walk away from a known problem with these model refrigerators. We cannot afford to buy another one and we cringe at the payment due from Home Depot every month. This is not customer service! This is you ripping a family off from their dreams of having a nice home to raise their kids up in and having the tools to do it with. Thanks for crushing that Samsung and Home Depot. Shawn **

We purchased a stainless steel Samsung Refrigerator Model No. RF217** in December of 2010. Today was the fourth time weve had to have it repaired for the same problem: standing water in the produce drawers with water and ice below them. The repair in 2013 required replacing a part which took several days to come in and, including labor, cost us a couple of hundred dollars to have done. The other three repairs cost about $100 each. This was an expensive refrigerator and it just galls me that Samsung wont stand behind their product! The first failure happened exactly two days after the one-year warranty expired so Samsung would do nothing. We didnt buy an extended warranty because we generally dont believe in them - big mistake - with Samsung believe in them! Not only is this all very expensive, but having to completely empty the contents of the fridge and freezer 24 hours before the service call so it can defrost is a royal pain in the petoot! What does it take to get a class action suit against Samsung? We bought a Samsung stainless steel dishwasher the same day we bought the refrigerator. I dont like it either. It never completely dries the dishes. We will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

French Door RF26VABPN repeat water leakage issue - Bought this appliance 10/08 & am recently encountering the 3rd problem since purchase which, according to other reviews, makes me one of the luckier owners having had it now close to 9 years. The 1st problem was continued water leakage with ice accumulating under both crisper drawers. I ended up calling a Samsung approved repair center that came out, evaluated the problem and ended up having to order a major part with total repair cost of $450. This occurred in 2014. Then the icemaker started making clicking noises periodically a year ago & finally stopped working. Tech charged $99 to come out but told me I could buy & replace the icemaker myself, which I ended up doing - Final cost $250. As of a month ago, the same problem is occurring with water accumulating under the crisper drawers & flowing out the front. Im not ready to spend another $450 so Im shopping for another refrigerator, anything except Samsung!!! The refrigerator before this model was a Whirlpool side-by-side that worked well over 20 years problem free. Refrigerator bought at Lowes, Gainesville, FL.

We purchased our stainless steel Samsung refrigerator in Feb of 2013 (side by side with freezer on bottom) and made the mistake of opting out of the extended warranty. Big mistake! This product is pure junk! The icemaker continually freezes up and I have had two service calls and still the same problem. I have to unclog the ice personally to get the icemaker to work again. Now there are other issues the repairman said would cost $500 to fix. I have called Samsung at least six times to no avail. If you want a good, reliable refrigerator, stay away from Samsung!!! Not only are they junk, their people are not at all sympathetic. They have my money and Im on my own now. Im very angry at this company that rips people off like this.

We bought our dishwasher (Samsung stainless DMT610RHS) less than two years
We bought our dishwasher (Samsung stainless DMT610RHS) less than two years ago, in November 2012. Since we bought it, it has leaked (just a small puddle), it often smells, it stopped cleaning the dishes well (the spinner or impeller was blocked) and now the display only shows part of the numbers and the pump doesnt seem to be working. The bottom spinner doesnt spin or have water come out of it- so the dishes dont get clean. The leaking stopped after I cleaned around the seals, or maybe I just moved them as there wasnt really anything there to clean off. We took the spinner out and unblocked it. And just tonight we unscrewed everything at the bottom and cleaned it out. Guess what we found? A plastic part (from the cheap cutlery holders) lodged in the bottom impeller. Now it seems to be working but it is leaking again. And the display still looks funny. Only parts of the numbers light up. I was hesitant to buy Samsung, but my boyfriend paid for it and convinced me that it would be fine. I will never buy anything from Samsung again!! I have been looking for a new oven and always tell the sales person NOT SAMSUNG. Lowes and Samsung both told us that it is past the warranty so we would have to get it serviced. I cant believe they dont stand by their product. I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher on craigslist for $50 for my tenants and it is way better than this $600 one.

We my husband and I purchase a Samsung 30.2 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerato
We my husband and I purchase a Samsung 30.2 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless online at Home Depot. We called Home Depot with our problem. These are your vendors HOME DEPOT. I am looking for an end-to-end solution. Home Depot told us to call Samsung service, been dealing with Samsung customer service and CEO. Contacted Samsung after several phone calls. They set us up with one of their contractors. The repair person said (FIRST TECH) the freezer door was defective, cant repair...unrepairable. We called Samsung again, told them what tech said. Samsung told us they have to wait for the tech report. The end of the day tech # 1 called us, told us Samsung want him to come over and saw my freezer door in half and unplug the refrigerator. We asked what about our food. His response was Samsung tech told him it wasnt their problem. We called Samsung again, told them that wasnt the right thing to do. They send another Tech. The second Tech gave us the same report as the # 1 Tech did, the freezer door was defective cant repair...unrepairable.We called Samsung again. NO HELP, NO RESOLUTIONS. Again they send yet a 3 Tech. He gave us the same report which we were told already by techs #1, #2. Technician # 3 JOE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH SAMSUNG TECH ARGUING BACK AND FORTH ABOUT THE SITUATION, because JOE was more concern about us the customer. The Tech spoke to a Samsung tech man who told him to saw my freezer door in half and to order a door to replace the entire door. He began to tell us that I needed to schedule another appointment and that the parts should be coming to my home.According to what I have been told over and over, your techs will make every attempt to fix the problem before a replacement freezer is offered. OK, you have not fixed the problem and your tech told me and my husband he cant guarantee he can fix it. Cant repair...unrepairable, which is what I already was told by techs #1, #2, and #3. Lets get to the nitty gritty. Since I have been unnecessarily inconvenienced, lied to on a regular basis, and am still not sure I have a reliable refrigerator heres what I want:1. A new refrigerator, it would be appreciative. Because this one even repaired a month old refrigerator that cost $27,000, its like used (a refurbished refrigerator). If I wanted a used one I would have bought it for less money... Your technicians stated. The freezer door was defective.2. Reimbursement for my approximately $500 in meats and food Im going to lose, once they saw through my freezer door. Its going to be flames and debris everywhere. You have failed to provide me with the prompt, reliable service from expert technicians. I have been told over and over that I will not get a new refrigerator unless my 1 month old refrigerator is unrepairable. It appears it is unrepairable based on the report of your 3 technicians. A reputable company would admit that a 1 month old Refrigerator that has serious door problems is faulty and would replace the unit. This is horrible! Very disappointed Samsung not stand behind their products and customer.

I bought a French door refrigerator in October 2009 and have nothing but problems with it. Had ice unit replaced twice and it was never fixed. Told by service technician that Samsung paid that there was a design flaw in Samsung refrigerators and it will never work right. Tried to get unit replaced and Samsung would not respond and delayed fixing until out of warranty. It has never worked correctly. Now I have water/ice under deli drawer and told this is another known problem and a fix has been finally figured out. Out of warranty, so this would be my expense. From what I have read on the internet, I can spend hundreds on repair service and problem will never be fixed. Most people who post suggest dumping the unit and replace it with anything but Samsung. Hate to do this as unit was expensive, but have no other choice. Does anyone know if there is class action lawsuit on these refrigerators?

I bought my Samsung oven in June 2019. I self cleaned it a year later and everything seems to be working fine. I tried to self clean this year in September and all of a sudden it stopped in just about 20 minutes, then I tried to do it again and it stopped again. I tried it the next day but the same thing happen again. I got an error code that the fans are not cooling enough. I had to wait and still waiting this day for ABT to fix the problem. The biggest problem is not that, after I self cleaned this time I got a spot inside the oven that looks like a stain but its not. I tried to clean it but its getting bigger and bigger every time I touch it. By the way this happened after the self clean because I never had it before and it looks like as of the paint is starting to peel. The second problem that I have encountered with this range is that ever since I started using the middle burner, the paint started to peel around it as well. Just a reminder this is only 2 years old range.I called Samsung twice and they promised me that someone will come out to help me with the problem. They gave me one time complimentary warranty since the manufacturer warranty is only for 1 year. I also had to tell the customer service people that if there is nothing that they can do about it, dont waste my time and send someone here, and the guy told me, NO. They will be able to help you. A tech came out and looked at it and then he had to call his boss and show him what was happing to our oven and top of the stove, then guess what he tells me? I am sorry, but this is cosmetic and its not covered, and thats what I didnt want to hear. I was so frustrated, and pissed off. What a waste of my time.I called the customer service and the lady told me that she is sorry that this had happen to me and there is nothing anybody can do for me at this time. I have never in my life had such an experience, and had to write a bad review about any company. I used to think Samsung was good, not anymore. I dont recommend it for anyone to buy it. I wish I had done some research before buying.

Quit cooling. The back of the refrigerator ices up and leaks unsanitary water down into crisper, meat bin, the ice maker, and freezer drawers. Cannot find water filter to replace it. The filter replacement light has been on for years. I looked at the back of fridge and in front. The water filter is impossible to find and no help with the manual. Won’t cool. Fruit spoils in a day or two. Had to buy mini fridge for meats and dairy. Leave in milk and it sours after a couple of days. Won’t cool below 60 degrees. Paid almost $2500 dollars for a heavy, useless piece of junk that gets my family sick with food poisoning. Stick to traditional brands when purchasing a refrigerator. Samsung is just shiny junk.

Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost
Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space. Touch Screen:My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed. Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region. Applications:When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future. No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.

My less than 5 year old Samsung range, model# NX58H5650WS caught on fire when I used the self clean feature for the first time. Within 15 minutes the oven started emitting white smoke. Then flames appeared. Had to call the fire department to come and pry the door open to put out the fire, since the door locks automatically when the self clean feature is turned on. They claim this is a safety feature. Not so sure. I couldnt put out the fire myself. This was a gas range and was afraid of an explosion. I will never ever buy another Samsung product. My Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher and now the range are all lemons. I bought the service contract for 5 years and the servicemen have been out to fix the refrigerator and dishwasher at least 10 times. But the range took the cake. I almost burned down my house. Very upset as to how these appliances can be sold. Had to put a $10,000 claim into my insurance company so that ServPro could come out and get the smoke damage and smell out of my house. Beware of these cheap Samsung appliances. If I could give these products a zero star rating I would.

We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling
We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling our kitchen and the refrigerator # rf260beaesr has not worked from the start. For making ice, we have called hhgregg. We had the extended warranty and they told us its not their problem. We have to work through Samsung so we have called and on 5 different occasions received inaccurate information and the tech line of Samsung the repairman came out and thought we had a used refrigerator or malware refrigerator from the assembly factory as the cables were not connected and the coil for making ice was defective. He replaced it nicely. That piece of coil lasted one day and again we called the tech line and the repairman came replacement of something else and reset the refrigerator and when we came back from our 14 day vacation it stunk in the house and lo and below - all the food in the freezer spoiled. Over 250.00 of meat. We called them up and they said to call hhgreg and we did that and hhgreg said they have nothing to do with the Samsung as Samsung is the product and this is their problem. Now this is getting old. Since June we have been getting replacement parts and no wear as the freezer still is not working and either is the temperatures in the refrigerator and no one is taking responsibility in replacement. They said Samsung that is, that hhgregg will be calling you and replacing a refrigerator. No no not a call received. We have called and wrote everyone name down the phone and email and faxes that they told us to go through for Samsung and guess what? Nothing is done. Now all we want is our money back, plus the food lost, and we will not buy a Samsung product ever. Example - look at the Samsung phones are blowing up. We have done everything Samsung told us to do and as of 9/16/16 we are no further ahead. CIVIL suit - contact news and will expose both retailer hhgregg and Samsung for running false advertising and product reliability and the other thing is hhgregg in Appleton and Green Bay is going out of business. Everyone got our money but we end up being the loser. Where is the justice in customer service? Where is the responsibility for a product accountability? The refrigerator is not even a yr old rf260beaesr and I have a 5yr psp bf refrigerator warranty which I was charged 349.99. Plus the refrigerator of 1600.00. Where does this sit with me? FZ coils frozen up, defrost freezer. Heaters did not work. Def defrost control replaced, installed new main board and evaporator fa defrost sensor ordered. Need sensor, connected sensor e21 evap fan reconnect on 7-1 16. Next visit 7-18-16 reg def holder defrost thermostat no voltage to heater from board evap fan not running. 8/26 repairman another sensor ordered power freeze and another visit from technical difficulties. No one knows what the hell they are doing in Samsung and they dont care period. They think they can run a person ragged down so that the customer will quit & they dont have to deal with getting us our money back. They dont even know who their CEO. We asked - how much does this tell you they care or know about the Samsung equipment service? So, how do we get our money back so we can buy a refrigerator other than a Samsung? Maybe Electrolux or Maytag. Going locally I can at least get service and honesty and a replacement instead of the run about from retail stores like hhgregg who is going out of business 9/30/16 and Samsung who wont replace or give your moneys back from the purchase. Does anyone hear me out there? We faxed everything to 973 529 0543, tried 3 times would not accept faxes. Obtained a new fax # to 864 751 2882 on 9/17/16. We are calling hhgregg daily and Samsung daily to get a refrigerator. We are the customer and deserve better care than what we have gotten which was passing the buck blaming the other guy. Get some balls Samsung and take care of the customer - stand behind your name. As for hhgregg going bankrupt out of business says it all. They probably took the money and ran. Almost sounds like this with Samsung is trying to do as well. Just replace the ref or give the customer their money back. We were the trusting people in your name and now we have no trust in that name and you Samsung did not stand behind and take responsibility. Shame on you Samsung. Someday youll be a customer to someone else and lets see how that goes. You all will be exposed for what you are eventually.

Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a heat crack (isnt this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumers fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

We bought this condo in October. The first time I tried to use the oven (to cook a turkey) I set the oven temperature to 350. Hours later the turkey was barely cooked. I raised the temperature to about 400 and eventually it cooked. I then bought an oven thermometer and used it the next time I wanted to cook something in the oven. To get to 350 degrees I have to set the temperature to 425. To get to 375 I set it to 450 or so. The indicator light indicates the temperature to which Ive set it but the oven doesnt heat up to where Ive set it. Since the range is out of warranty Samsung wants me to call a service technician. What Ive read about this problem online suggests its either the sensor or thermostat thats at fault. Ive asked for the part number for the sensor and thermostat for my model - and they cant even give me that. I dont want to pay for a service call only to be charged labor and an inflated price for the part since my husband is an electrician and can likely do the repair himself at a much lower cost.By the way, this condo came with a Samsung dishwasher and over-the-range microwave oven. The first time we used the dishwasher it didnt work, so we called the only service tech around who deals with Samsung appliances and $115 later he said the repairs would cost about $360 (he admitted the problem here is quite common with the Samsung dishwashers). For about $400 I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher and have had no problems since. The Samsung microwave oven works but sometimes the same amount of water heats to hot and sometimes just to very warm when set to the same cooking time.My conclusion: Samsung kitchen appliances are absolutely worthless. Stay away from them!

I purchased Samsung electric range (model NE59J3420SS) Jan. 26, 2016 with all kitchen appliances all Samsung. Big mistake. Should have read reviews before purchasing. The range has error message that cannot be corrected according to manual. This is second problem, first problem was 9 months after purchase. The store where I purchased range will send tech out Mon. am for $100 to come out, then $60 every 15 min. plus parts and labor. I know I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product, I have told all my family and friends, now others have told me they also have had problems with all Samsung products.

This has to be the worst dishwasher on the face of the earth. To begin, the workers who delivered the machine broke our woodwork on the floor and they tried to hide the damage. We used the machine twice and couldnt stand the smell and the grinding noise was deafening. Samsung came out and began berating me telling me that this problem was not covered by the warranty and I will never be able to use the warranty again. The repairman was actually yelling at me. I finally had to ask him to leave. While he did fix the machine, like others, it wasnt long before I began experiencing other problems. Hopefully, theyll come out since its still under warranty and be professional about the repair. Weve never had such terrible problems in all our years of owning a dishwasher. This machine should be recalled.

The ice dispenser has stopped working on my 2 and 1/2 year old refrigerator
The ice dispenser has stopped working on my 2 and 1/2 year old refrigerator model # RF4287HA. The ice maker is making ice but the dispenser switch will ONLY dispense water. We contacted Samsung several times (both technical and customer support) by phone and in writing to no avail. Upon reading various reviews by other Samsung refrigerator owners, I have found that many of us are experiencing problems with these appliances. It appears that the product is defective but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. I sincerely request that Consumer Affairs help us get some satisfaction from Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Sears. I havent even finished paying for it. I called out technician and he advised its $75 for him to come, $170 if he does anything. Apparently, warranty is out before its even finished paying for. I looked at black sludge and it looks like dissolved o-rings he and said its not dissolved o-rings but bugs. Bugs? we asked. Yes, bacteria. He said we must use vinegar every two weeks and glisten every month. It smelled bad all the time and this horrendous black sludge was all over in there under the filter (11 x 3 inch bolts to remove to get under there) by the door seals. So putting it back together, one of the plastic parts cracks when the bolt goes in. Now it shuts off if there isnt enough rinsing agent and wont go. It shuts off if you dont slam the top drawer hard and break a couple glasses. This is a really expensive piece of crap. My mother is devastated as she thought this fancy thing would be the last time she bought an appliance. Its a waste of a pensioners money and Sears says talk to Samsung. Samsung says Sears is the person to contact during warranty and any other repair person who can do Samsung after that. Its not their problem. It never worked well. The quick cycle is two hours. I am sad for my mother and I have had to try to figure it out for her several times. What a garbage!

We purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave OTR from Best Buy in early 2010. This unit was one of the top-rated OTR microwaves on Consumer Reports. The oven has been very lightly used as we have a second microwave in the kitchen (a Sharp which is over 7 years old). Anyhow, 29 months after purchasing the Samsung, the keypad is showing the SE code and is basically unusable. As others have experienced, this is a known defect that Samsung should take care of but wont. I will be sadly buying another brand to replace this nice looking junk, but I would eagerly participate in a class action lawsuit against Samsung!

My Samsung Microwave was getting old and stopped working. It just wouldnt start up. A few hours later I heard an explosion in the kitchen. It was on fire. I could not extinguish it until I thought to unplug it and pour water on top of the flames through the ventilation grates on the top. The cabinet above the microwave had just started to burn so Im sure that there would have been a serious fire had I not been at home. Later I read about popping noises being a warning sign that something is wrong and I did hear a few pops before it stopped working. Please unplug your microwave if you hear popping and call the company or a repairman. I wish I had known that the popping is a sign that my microwave was in serious trouble. I had never heard about the dangers of a microwave that had stopped working. Register your microwave so that you will be informed of problems with the model you buy.

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2014 and then it started rusting on the outside. I called and of course still under warranty but I was told the warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. Then the refrigerator started making a lot of loud noises. I called and they sent out a service person who clearly stated this was due to poor manufacturing. He packed an oversized opening in the rear of the inside. Less than 30 days the same thing except the warranty was expired. Piece of junk.
