Returned home after 3 hour absence to find my 3 year old Samsung microwave
Returned home after 3 hour absence to find my 3 year old Samsung microwave baking a non existent potato. The menu was flashing baking potato. I have no idea how long it was on and turning it off & on twice did not help. I ended up shutting down the fuse on the circuit board. Repairs totaled $175. Totally unacceptable. I am elderly and live alone so no question of excessive use. I wish I had seen this review forum first and I would not have repaired it at all. Very unhappy...

I bought my Samsung Microwave on Christmas Eve when my other one stopped in the middle of food prep for the big day, so living in a rural area I went to the only appliance shop in town and picked up this beauty, probably paid more than I normally would have but have no regrets and would buy another Samsung microwave in a heartbeat!!

SMH9207ST - We bought this microwave and refrigerator from Lowes. We didnt get an SE error but 4 of my major button stopped working, (the power level, clock, kitchen timer, and the 0) buttons wont push in. Samsungs CS was awful, made me feel like I was to blame. We were 2 days off our warranty and had to pay for service. I wouldnt have paid $400 for a disposable microwave. $50 at Walmart and the thing will last forever. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES AGAIN. Now the $2,400 refrigerator we got as well constantly thaws my freezer and refrigerator gets warm, so aggravated. I couldve bought American and would last me longer than a year!!!!

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

When I bought my Samsung self-cleaning range with convection oven and glass
When I bought my Samsung self-cleaning range with convection oven and glass door it never occurred to me that dirt could get between the double glass on the oven door. I have had ranges from other manufacturers with see-thru doors before and have never experienced a problem. The Samsung, however, manages to collect dust so that after three years I cant even see the interior of the oven. I had a Samsung repair specialist look at it and he said theres no way to clean it.After three years the self-cleaning process no longer cleans and burners have hot spots. Ive stopped using the convection feature because theres no difference between that and the regular oven as far as performance is concerned. I am very unhappy with the Samsung range and am looking forward to replacing it soon. I would not recommend a Samsung product to my worse enemy if I had one. Suggest if you are thinking of buying Samsung you run as fast as you can in another direction.

The refrigerator is just over 2 years old and its falling apart. 3 panels are broken off and now the bottom ice maker is broken as well. This appliance was $2500 and is junk. It should last at least 10 years. My last GE profile lasted 16 years and not one thing broke on it during that time. They sure dont make things like they used to. I tried calling Samsung and was told there is nothing they can do for me because its past the 1 year warranty. A 1 year warranty for an appliance that should last at least 10 years is a joke and shows they really dont stand behind their quality nor do they value keeping customers. I will not buy Samsung appliances anymore. Ill stick with Kenmore or LG or GE or KitchenAid. Stay away from this Manufacturer.

I have Samsung Dishwasher. It was having problems of not completing the wash cycle during warranty period. It took couple of visits for technician to repair the problem. But it was fixed temporarily. After 3-4 months dishwasher has again same problem. Now they are telling warranty is over and they cannot repair under warranty. This is faulty product and have seen many customers complaining about same problem. Hope they had replaced the unit while had the issue during warranty or repaired it properly. I have approximately a three year old Samsung refrigerator. I have now been waiting 5 months for my replacement ice maker to come in from China for the second time. I just verified all serial numbers with my repairman. They once again have sent an ice maker with the numbers repair is telling them but on the wrong ice maker. I am a big ice fan. I replaced my old refrigerator because of a broken ice maker only to have a three year old refrigerator with another broken Samsung ice maker. So much for all the bells and whistles Samsung. Your product isnt worth 1 star.

This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

I like the technology and the layout of the refrigerator but I am a little concerned with the reliability of certain aspects of my model, like the icemaker. I have owned the refrigerator for about five years and for the last 3 years the icemaker has not operated properly. It tends to freeze up after about a week or two and it gets jammed up with ice cube being dumped over the sides.

I bought this dishwasher because it was recommended in the press as a good product. My experience with a Samsung dishwasher is nothing but problems. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes properly even after you rinse them down to start. I have had to replace the pump on this dishwasher twice and the service charge is around 200 dollars a visit. This is over a 28 month period. My advice to anyone wishing to buy a Samsung dishwasher should look at another product and leave this one alone.

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!

We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator from Lowe’s. I thought I had done research. Every single piece of plastic in this refrigerator is cracking or has already broken. We are not rough on our appliances. Despite the care that we use, every door been has been replaced twice. I currently have no door bins to use. Any indication that there is too much weight in the Dawbin is undermined by the fact that they are “designed to hold a gallon of milk“. I cannot even keep condiments in the door bins without cracking. The freezer bins have cracked at the joints. The refrigerator is also designed that is difficult to take apart to clean should there be a spill. This is a the worst product I have ever purchased.

After 4 years of owning a French door Samsung refrigerator (RF267AARS/XAA), the coils started freezing up. I called out a Samsung repair service and they discovered that the evaporator coils had melted my liner and it is not repairable. It was so badly burned inside that I am surprised it did not catch fire. When I contacted Samsung’s customer service about this hazard, I was put on hold for 30 minutes and then told that they could only refund me a partial credit for the refrigerator. When I asked if there have been similar problems with other refrigerators, they could not tell me. This refrigerator has not been recalled. I do not recommend purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

I purchase a Samsung refrigerator in 11/2020 at Best Buy. At first it seems that it did not cool much. Ice machine is slow when the ice comes out. After 3 visits from Geeks they decide I needed to contact Samsung. So today was a 2 hour look to see what problem is, person on phone with another person trying to see what the problem is. My food was getting mold, so after he was told that the cooling system is at bottom and there is a flap that should open. They got the number of part, not sure how long will it be when the part will get here. Food is expensive as it is, so why dont they just give me my money back and quit trying to figure out what the issue is. This company should build TV and stereos and leave the appliance to people that know how to build.

I try to be a responsible informed consumer before making a pricey purchase. I took the plunge and bought a Samsung refrigerator Model #RS261MDBP 05/2014. The first refrigerator delivered had a golf ball size dint on front right door. Immediately delivery company informed Samsung and the refrigerator was replaced approximately a week later. My grown children were home at time of delivery while I was out of town caring for sick family member. I came home a month afterwards and noticed three dints on right door as if someone placed and replaced their hands there to push refrigerator in place. I also noticed the ice maker wasnt making much ice. I read the troubleshooting section of manual and made adjustments of temperature and rearranged food in freezer. At this time condensation was accumulating in freezer and food in fridge was spoiling. Once again I adjusted temperatures to no avail. I contacted Samsung which a repair company came out and said that model came off assembly with the issues I was having due to some faulty parts. Little over six weeks later the same problems started all over again. Another company came and fixed a totally different problem. Two weeks later ice maker still wasnt producing ice properly, milk spoiled, and condensation started accumulating in freezer again. Samsung was informed of all the issues Ive had since receiving their product. Eventually after many phone calls, emails with proof of purchase and pictures they agreed to a partial reimbursement, deducting 10% per month after 1 year ownership. My very first new refrigerator and it was heartbreaking. I will not buy another Samsung appliance.

We bought Samsung microwave, to go along with all other Samsung appliances. We paid several hundred dollars for unit, and have been highly disappointed. Without warning, microwave stopped working entirely. We had all breakers tested to ensure the issue was in fact the microwave. Then, called Samsung Support. When we were told this wouldnt be covered by warranty *though they werent sure what the problem was, and advised we would need to schedule service. An appliance that you pay good money for, should continue working - and if it doesnt, it should be considered faulty by the manufacturer. Forgive me for not wanting to pay Samsung any more money for selling a bad product, being less than helpful, and no guarantee that even if they fix the unit, that we wont continue to have problems.Additional side notes: We used this microwave minimally, always kept it clean, and even advised Samsung Support that we just needed them to provide us a website - in order for us to refer to make the repair ourselves. Avoid the hours of wasted time if youve had your microwave over a year. And, in hopes you havent already bought a Samsung unit, read reviews of other manufacturers and the way they handle complaints, before making an investment. Had we done that, we wouldnt be shelling out hundreds of dollars for a replacement - our savings for Christmas gifts will now be covering malfunctions of something that is less than 2.5 years old. Thank you for your time.

This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. We lost everything inside the fridge and went without a fridge for over a week and a half. And do you think SAMSUNG honored the warranty... Nope!!! Do you think they honored the full replacement... Nope!!! We still have a little loaner fridge because nobody can seem to help us. So I wouldnt recommend a Samsung fridge to anyone. Not only is it $expensive$, but it never worked properly and obviously the warranty is worth nothing.

SMH1816B - This oven was my Christmas gift purchased December 2012 from Best Buy. Our mistake was buying it too soon before kitchen was ready for installation. So now its out of warranty. Because of the semi-remodeling, it didnt get installed until March 2014. Worked great for 4 months. My husband even went beyond the call to make sure the extra venting to the outside was installed. The auto turn on for that vent never worked so I just manually turned it on as needed. Then 3 days ago, our daughter opened the door to reheat some nachos and the screen was dead. Troubleshooted everything: the outlet, the dedicated power line in the fuse box, etc. 24 hours later, the formerly dead screen mysteriously lit back up and instructed us to set the clock! So we did. It worked for a day. Then my husband opened the door to reheat a cup of coffee and closed the door and discovered BLACK SCREEN again! We went through all the troubleshooting again, unplug, re-plug, etc. to no avail. I called then filled out the form on Samsungs help site and was instructed to call 1800 SAMSUNG, which I did. They said it was out of warranty and if I wanted to get it fixed, I would have to pay. I called a local certified Samsung repair service and they said it could be loose wires that get moved when opening and closing the door and it would cost $120.00 to re-seat the wires. This is totally unacceptable that an appliance would be allowed to be manufactured so poorly that the wires could unseat themselves just by opening and closing the door, an action that is REQUIRED in order to use it! The model needs a recall asap!

VERY disappointed with Samsung. We purchased all Samsung stainless steel appliances less than 4 years ago. ALL have had continuous problems. Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. (Bye bye to all your groceries while it takes all day to warm up). Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesnt work! Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, Im very careful and it didnt have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. Im very disappointed and hope NO ONE buys from them. What a waste of money when they cant even make it 4 years. And dont bother phoning into Samsung, They are absolutely no help if you are past 1 year warranty.

Samsung Model RF263AEPN/XAA - Seven (7) weeks ago my refrigerator began not keeping as cold as it should. When I tried to turn down the temperature it would turn down but then immediately return to the same not really cold state it had been working at. Sounded like it should be an easy problem to fix. However, I called several repair places who told me they would not, or could not, work on Samsung refrigerators as they were not made like other refrigerators, were hard to work on, and parts were hard to come by as only one place in the United States carries the parts. I finally found a repair place that came out and replaced some items and charged us hundreds of dollars, however the refrigerator was still not cold. I called again and the repair person returned. The next time two workers were sent out to look at the refrigerator. On one of the visits I was told me it needed a new green computer board. The repair person ordered the part and came back, only to find that the part sent was not the part that had been requested. This same scenario played out two more times, with today being the last day. I called Samsung and was given the run-around. During todays visit the repair person showed me what had been ordered and the order matched the part number on what he said the refrigerator needed. However, when he showed me the part that had been sent to him, it was the wrong part number. Are Samsung workers so inept at their jobs that the correct part number cannot be sent on three occasions? I will never again buy any Samsung products. I had to laugh as while I was on hold with Samsungs customer relations today, I was put on hold and what did I hear expect that Samsung products are the best. This is a false advertisement to the general consumer. I would urge anyone reading this to NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS for several reasons, e.g. parts are hard to come by due to Samsung not making sure their parts pullers have adequate education to do the job they are hired to do, there is only one provider of Samsung parts in the United States, and the normal repair person cannot repair a Samsung. Tonight, my husband and I will go out and find a new refrigerator and I am sure it will not cost the $2,300 that this Samsung did, and the new refrigerator will be able to be worked on by pretty much any refrigerator repair person. I have an appointment to meet with a Lawyer this afternoon about this whole situation and hopefully that will help to alleviate some of the frustration that I am feeling now.

I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? I am writing a negative review as it relates to my purchased a Samsung microwave model ME16H702SES in April 2019. The microwave overheated and the paint melted at the bottom of microwave. I send pictures of the damage and was told it was cosmetic damage and the tech also told me it was the same. I followed up with a phone call and talked with several representatives and was told that their only solution was to apply metal paint. I voiced my concerns, since there was no explanation as to how this could happen. I was told about warranty and installation, but nothing to do with as it relates to a safety issues. I did go on record that I was concerned about my and my family safety, to continue to use a microwave that has overheated.

My refrigerator stopped working so I called the number on the refrigerator. Thinking even though it was out of warranty No one better than having a Samsung service pro to fix my Refrigerator. So I made the call on Friday the 14th to set up a service. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. On Monday 4 days later I still have not been contacted so I called Samsung again. At this time they informed me that I should have been contacted by service company on the 14th. They gave me the number to call the service company myself so I did. The service company informed me that they had informed Samsung on Friday the 14th that I was out of their service area but Samsung never contacted me to let me know. The Samsung call center overseas was very unprofessional and would not even let me to talk to a supervisor then proceeded to tell me that my warranty was over just call someone else. So now on Tuesday Samsung informs me there are no service companies in my Zip code. So I have waited 5 days to get my Refrigerator repaired and now Im calling Sears. After buying ice for 5 days trying to salvage my food its all being thrown away. I will never purchase a Samsung Again only because of the poor service center.

We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2011. It worked like a charm until earlier this year, when the warranty ran out. We had ice build up in back of fridge. Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. Now the freezer has ice buildup under the drawer and the door binds when closing. I hate to spend another 500 dollars and not know what will happen next. We will definitely not be buying Samsung appliances in the future.

Our 5 yr. old Samsung French door fridge has wasted about 300 dollars worth of food. The first repairman from A&E recharged the freon and ordered some parts. One of the parts was a new compressor, which they ship to the house and install at a later date. We request with Samsungs guy in India to make sure we get the same guy to install the new compressor. (You cannot talk to A&E directly.) Some other guy shows up (had to miss another days work to accommodate their service, 250 bucks down the drain again.) This new guy takes the inside fridge panel off and says the upper evaporator coil is leaking because Samsung put too many zip ties holding it in. He snips off the zip ties, then he claims the compressor wasnt needed and the first guy who came should have known they were not authorized by Samsung to do any repairs. He leaves...... now Im dead in the water. I call Samsung office of the president (yeah right) they set me up with another repair tech. I yelp the new repair service and they have the worst reputation in the book. Soooooooo I call back the Samsung prezzizz office in Jersey and request they authorize the original repair techs from A &E to return. The freezer just went warm again. We are giving away food to friends. It is Thursday the new repair appt. is this Monday. Another day off work and probably a re-diagnose and subsequent appt. while they wait for parts. SMART FRIDGE MY A.. Samsung scam to buy a new fridge maybe. This is what over 2000 dollars gets you nowadays. Sad part is I hear even high end fridges have multiple problems too.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in July 2006 with the extended 4-year warranty. In July of 2009, it stopped cooling and I called in for a service order that took six days to repair the sensor and fuse. The repairman said these go out all the time, not a good part. On Nov. 16, 2008, it went out again for the same part and I asked for a refund. I was told, No, just repair. The tech again said parts were being updated because of repeated problems. On June 19, 2012, it went out again. I called Lowes service advantage and they referred us to Samsung since this was the third time. We went through a number of associates. They told us that we would get full credit, but we had to produce the work repair orders and fax them to Samsung. After a week without a refrigerator and spoiled food, we received and faxed the invoices to Samsung as required. At this point, another supervisor told us that we were only going to receive $647.91 back in credit and that we had to remove the serial number and cut the cord along with a picture. They would email us the information to send back. Today has been another week without an email. My husband calls Samsung and now they are saying the refund was rejected. I believe that Samsung does not stand behind its word or products. This is unfair and deceptive practices. The part was ordered and has NOT come in after 7 weeks and Ive been told that its on a National backorder waiting for the mfg to produce the part. It appears Samsung has a full defect on this board and it should be recalled and replaced at no charge. If the part were even available it would cost me $389.00 to replace/repair but after reading all the horrible reviews and money spent trying to repair the fridge it may be wise just to trash it and buy a GE or Whirlpool that can at least be repaired if needed. October 2016 I bought a 4 door Samsung stainless steel refrigerator (model #RF22K9381SR/AA) from Lowe’s. The panel on the door below the icemaker/water dispenser has terrible water stains that will not come off with any recommended product by Samsung. When I complained to Samsung they sent out a technician to see it. The technician said there was a possibility that it developed a leak behind the door panel and he took a picture and said Samsung will be reviewing it.I then got a call from Samsung saying its not their problem because they are not responsible for cosmetic damage. Stainless is not suppose to stain with obvious water marks. I believe there is some defect with the refrigerator ice maker/water dispenser and/or that the stainless steel product they used is of inferior quality. I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

I bought a top of the line Samsung dishwasher two years ago. We have had four repairs and none of it worked. Samsung refused to replace it and we are going to have to go to small claims court. We bought it from Lowe’s and didnt get a service guarantee policy. The dishwasher began stopping during mid cycle in the first six months. Samsung did not want to stand behind their product, which was a top of the line model.

I bought a Samsung range (model # FE R300SXIX AA) a little over 3 years ago. During the Easter weekend of 2018, I tried to bake a cake. The cake did not get done. The oven did not reach the correct temperature. I called Samsung and a technician was sent to my home within a few days. He could not find anything wrong with the oven. The visit cost $125. I tried to bake something else and it did not get done. I called Samsung again and another technician came to my home. He stated the oven temperature was 100 degrees off the target temperature. He replaced a part and tried the temperature reading again. The temperature was still off the target. The technician said the oven needed a part he did not have with him. Another appointment was made for him to return with the other part. The technician returned several days later with the other part. He replaced the part and said try the oven again because he thought it was repaired. This cost was another $175. After the technician left, I tried baking something again but it did not get done. I called Samsung again and the representative said there was nothing they could do because the warranty had expired. In order to get a partial refund for the range, the technician would have to state the oven was unfixable. I called the technicians office to make an appointment. An appointment was made for him to return a few days later. The technician called my home and stated to my husband he does not know the cause of the problem with the oven but he could return and try several things to repair it. Each thing he tried could cost up to $500 or more. Whats the use of a repair service when they are working in the blind and costing you a lot of money trying different things. I will never buy another Samsung electric range again. The Service and reliability are very unsatisfactory.

Brand new out of the box--got the SE failure. Sadly we had purchased it to install in a new house build that was delayed so we were a few months out of warranty when our builder installed it. Samsung knowing about the SE error refused any return or free repair even when we could provided proof that the microwave had just been installed. WE Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. Very short sighted of Samsung to not stand behind their appliances.

So sad. Built a beautiful home almost 2 years ago (June 2015). Was so excited to have a nice kitchen. We decided on a Samsung suite for the kitchen. The problems started with our dishwasher. Didnt clean the dishes and smelled of garbage every time you opened it. Had numerous tech calls to fix never was. My last straw was when they didnt show up for another appointment after taking an afternoon off from work. We replaced it with a Bosch after only 8 months. My microwave doesnt turn. It used to but we discovered (after warranty was up) that the plate feet were too big for the part on bottom of microwave to turn it. So the refrigerator. Small issue but the bottom deli tray cover comes off every single time you open the drawer. It is too small for the drawer.Called Samsung and they sent us another one. Same issue. Go into Best Buy and look at the floor model and it works and fits perfectly. Not sure why ours does that. Last month noticed that the same drawer was stuck. Pulled it out and there is a buildup of ice on bottom. Cleaned it all up and has happened again. I am sitting here with two coolers, a dorm refrigerator and my RV refrigerator filled and my Samsung unplugged and empty. I have read that this is an issue. Almost to point of just wanting a new refrigerator. I wish I had the money to replace right now. Dont want to deal with Samsung products again. (Also have a 55 Samsung flat screen and the picture turns off randomly and you have to shut it all down and restart).

My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad
My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad that its starting to rust the outer door where water has been dripping down from the ice dispenser on to the outer door. Called and they said it would cost me well over $300.00 to fix it. They didnt say anything about the rust on the door. Even though the warranty is up, this is crazy. We just had a service guy come out on yesterday about another issue with the TwinCooling Plus panel on the inside back wall. That was $309.00. Three hundred here and three hundred there adds up to a lot. Also the warranty on this is only for a year. Have a lot of Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. But this will make me think twice on Samsung.

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

It is obvious that Samsung fridges have critical design problems. Those of us foolish enough to buy one know futile and frustrating it is to do with this company. The thing is now to spread the word to others so they dont make the same mistake. I posted an ad for the fridge in Craigslist under the title Samsung Sucks. I know it wont sell, but its a pretty effective way of spreading the word about this company and maybe, with any luck, it will cost them a few sales.

Purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator (#RF25HMEDBSR/AA) in 9/03/14. It took almost 6 weeks to receive it. About 6 months after we purchased, two problems occurred. One with the flex temperature control drawer and the other was the ice maker. The ice maker started leaking every time ice was dispensed and would freeze up. We called customer service and a service man came out only to tell us that the ice maker was leaking water due to the humidity, which was totally ridiculous! A part was replaced, but in a month or so, same thing happened. A couple of months same thing. Again it was looked at (nothing was replaced), then on the fourth time, same issue.By this time warranty is out and again same issues and we were told that we would be paying for parts and labor since it was. This made absolutely no sense since it was an ongoing issue. They finally told us that we would have to pay the diagnosis fee and the labor and this time Samsung would pay for the parts. That was in March of this year, when several parts were replaced, and this afternoon the ice maker had to be warmed up with the hair dryer again for the second time, since repairs, to melt the ice AGAIN! This is not an inexpensive refrigerator, so you would expect better service and a much better product! I am not happy that we had to pay for a service charge and labor since we had been having same issue almost from the beginning of purchase! Very, very disappointed in this product!

I am following up on my last post on this appliance. I was promised a callback yesterday in regards to my freezer not working in my 7-month-old Samsung (4-door). I called today and was told by Alicia at Samsungs executive customer relations line that they will not honor my request for reimbursement for the food I lost. She said because the freezer started freezing again, there is nothing wrong with it and it doesnt need a service call. She said that if they sent someone to service it, they would have reimbursed me for the food. I told her to send someone as appliances are not self-healing and there has to be a problem for this to happen in the first place and I am afraid to put anything else in the freezer. She told me I must have pushed a button, such as the child lock button for this to have happened. I have never touched this panel. It is exactly as it was when it was installed. I also wonder why if the child lock button had been pushed, would all the food thaw out? She said they could do nothing for me. No service call, no reimbursement.

I purchased a brand new high end Samsung dishwasher thru Lowes. The top basket looked like it had been jammed into the bracket during the manufacturing process; the left side metal arm that the roller sat on was bent so it didnt fit onto the bracket and the other roller was broken. I called Samsung and they told me I had to purchase another roller even though I explained to them it was brand new. I had heard about their poor customer service thru a friend of mine that had purchased a refrigerator for her retired parents. It took Samsung over a month and a half to repair that brand new refrigerator (which in the meantime meant they had to rent a replacement at their expense). The Samsung French Door Refrigerator has been a great refrigerator with the exception of the icemaker. The icemaker freezes over so it wont make ice. You have to thaw it out with a hairdryer for it to work again. Then in a few days it does it again. When it freezes up and you try to dispense ice, water leaks out of the dispenser. We cant find a repair person who will work on it. Contacting the Samsung, we are basically told that it is a known probably; but they cant do anything about it. We bought a refrigerator May 31 2011. The fridge made weird noises, kind of like an electrical surge. We had someone check it out because we didnt want a fire. We were told everything was fine. Sometime later, I started seeing water in my drawers and not thinking to much about it, cleaned it up. All the time wondering and curious where it could be coming from. My problem just spiraled out of control. One day I went to open my fridge drawer and was not able to open either one of them. They were frozen to the bottom of the frig, with at least 21/2 inches if SOLID ICE. I then had to take a chef knife and try to break the ice apart. It was unbelievable. I took some pictures because I couldnt believe it (Unfortunately, they were lost when my phone broke). I cleaned the mess up.This happened I couldnt tell you how many times. Or how much food had to be thrown out. Then I noticed the freezer was frosting up like one out of the 1970s. I had to unplug my fridge to clean out the freezer. Everything in it was covered with ice. More food ruined. Mind you, this is a frost-free freezer. Right. I have nothing but expense (food), aggravation, and no satisfaction at all. As of today 5/16/2014 my refrigerator is reading 57 degrees. I unplugged my fridge today, completely cleaned it out top to bottom. Threw out 2 garbage bags of food and thats where I am as of today. We paid right around 11010100 for this poor excuse for a fridge and not sure where to go from here. We will never buy another Samsung!!!

One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I would like some real customer service from Samsung, but I just get boilerplate answers.

I am not one to write product reviews but am so disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator. We bought our French Door Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot when we built our home. I loved it!!! Then about 3 months ago the refrigerator showed problems with cooling and the lowest temp we could maintain was 44 degrees and often cooled at 46. We had a Samsung certified tech come out and work on the refrigerator and he found coolant leaking. After a call to Samsung, Samsung told the tech the refrigerator could not be fixed. Now we are waiting Samsungs final decision as to what will be done. With Thanksgiving next week looks like I will be out buying a new refrigerator and it will NOT NOT NOT be a Samsung.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.

We bought this refrigerator new on 07/24/2011, and on 03/27/2012 while we were at home we heard water running all of a sudden. We went into the kitchen and water was flowing out of the ice maker. We quickly shut off the water to the house and then moved the unit out and turned off the water at the wall. Because we were there and heard this, we prevented $60k to $70k in water damages. Most of our downstairs flooring is wood. The refrigerator was fixed under warranty by a Samsung contracted service organization. Then again on 08/30/2013, the unit failed again. This time I woke up at 5am and heard the faint noise of water running. I immediately went down stairs and stepped into a LAKE. The entire downstairs of our home was flooded and all the flooring, walls up to 16 and cabinets that were built in were ruined. The bill for all this will definitely be well over $50k. NO one should ever buy a Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker. The new unit failed in 8 months and the Samsung repair only lasted 17 months. This is most definitely a product liability case.

I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model # RF25HMEDBSG 19 months ago. The icemaker started freezing up immediately after the 12 month warranty expired. I have deiced the icemaker 4 times in the last seven months. This week the fan in the back started making noise because it was rubbing on an ice buildup in the coils. This isnt what I expected when I laid out $ 2,088 for what I thought was a quality product. I didnt think I would need an extended warranty to cover the first three years. Wrong!! I looked at a YouTube video which saved me a service call which would have cost about $300 from Dish. What I learned was that there is a way to do a manual defrost for the coils that is not in the Users Manual. Empty your refrigerator. On my model, press the top item on the left side of the display which is Freezer and the middle item on the right side which is Lighting and hold for 12 seconds. It will go through a series of displays and stop on the last which is FD for Fast Defrost. This activates the heating elements to defrost the coils. It beeps for 30 or 40 minutes then stops which I assume means that the defrost is complete. I carefully defrosted the icemaker with a heat gun on low from a distance. That was 3 days ago and I have icemaker ice and no fan noise. We shall see how long it holds up. The YouTube showed an older model but by pressing the SAME LOCATIONS on the display twelve seconds, FF came up and he had to press a function three or four times until the Fast Defrost FD started. Use at your own discretion. I hope this saves you some repair $$.

I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty.
