Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010
Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010. Display malfunctioned on 22 Feb 2012. Display for ice maker on/off, dispenser display lights are erroneous and show locked for water, nothing for crushed ice, and the Fahrenheit symbol constantly displays. Ice maker control displays are constantly showing off. On 29 Feb 2012, the freezer ice maker is noted as not working.1 Mar 2012, Samsung support contacted. The support tech doesnt comprehend the spoken word as spoken. Multiple attempts were made before tech could comprehend the word malfunctioning and erroneous display. I was advised to make sure the water valve in the wall was on, despite not having one. I was advised to reset the ice maker, which was done, and then was told to make sure the control shows ice maker not locked, which cant be done with piece of crap Chinese display that is malfunctioning. I was advised that the water filter might be clogged, despite good flow from the dispenser. The tech was obviously reading off a check list, and has no clue.I was informed that the warranty is only 1 year, but they would contact a repair tech if I would have to pay for myself. One year? Seriously? We handed out $1,800.00 for a fridge with a one year warranty, that is essentially useless after less than two years. If the repair bill is over $300, its going in the dump. I am done with Samsung and their Chinese made trash period. I get better service, support and warranty out of a pair of $100 boots.

I purchased model RF260BEAEBC/AA in June 2105. Now waiting on my 5th service call. Each call requires 1-2 week wait for service. I have had two compressors and expect another. All my food is lost yet again. Samsung tells me they never replace as long as they can continue repairing. I am so frustrated. I cannot afford a new replacement and have now considered getting a good used one on Craigslist. I paid thousands and cannot get a working refrigerator.

I watched the CBCs Marketplace television program which reviewed problems with Appliances. One of the speakers, Terry, from Vancouver had the exact model of Samsung Refrigerator that I did and had the same problems that I have experienced. Ice building up in the freezer and water building up in and around the crispers. Each week I have to siphon this water out. She had them fix her problem with a COURTESY REPAIR, thanks to Marketplace. I would like the same solution and have contacted Samsungs Repair Department and spoke to Vladimir in the Executive Customer Relations Department, reference number **. He told me there was nothing he could do and that there was no design flaw and no recall. I think all of the Samsung appliance owners who cant believe this rhetoric should band together and make sure that people DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG products if they cant acknowledge when they have problems and then also do nothing to rectify those problems. If anyone knows of a permanent solution, please feel free to let me know! Samsung Refrigerator Model Number RF197ACRS.

We purchased a Samsung Convection oven from The Home Depot in Jasper Georgia for a new home. The range main control board has failed after 18 months. I contacted Samsung and they set up a Samsung authorized service company to contact me. When contacted I asked the service company for a copy of their general liability insurance only to find out they were uninsured.I then contacted a reputable technician who confirmed that the control board was bad. I contacted Samsung and they would not consider replacing it. I also informed them that they were trying to send out authorized Samsung service companies that are uninsured and that did not seem to phase them. Therefore, I would not recommend purchasing their products.

We have a three-year-old Samsung RFG298AABP/XAA French Door Refrigerator. Had the repairman out twice because the refrigerator wasnt getting cold enough and there was virtually no ice production. It was deemed unrepairable by the repairman because it was leaking freon in a place where he could not fix it. He said Samsung should replace it with a new refrigerator.Samsung contacted me and said they estimated the original cost to be $1,874, but they would only reimburse me $1,300. Then I called the second time and they said no, I would get the entire $1,874. I went to the store to look at new refrigerators and got sticker shock. I could not come close to the same model for that price. I was appalled that after three years, and their unit being defective, I would only get $1,874 to replace the refrigerator.I emailed the company to complain and was told they would send it to a supervisor to see if they could accommodate me after I told them I checked prices and the model like the one I have ran $2,799 now. I have spoken two more times to their Executive Customer Service, and they are telling me I can only get $1,874. I feel they should compensate people the replacement value when their refrigerators are defective. In conclusion, I will NEVER purchase another item from Samsung.

Purchased a black stainless “fingerprintless” less than 2 years ago and the freezer section stopped working. Called and they came out to fix it. Needed a new compressor and luckily for us it is a warranty item. Less than 2 months later same thing, freezer is not working. Needs ANOTHER compressor. They said we could get a new one. Big deal, who wants another headache? I’ve lost so much food and having to eat out while waiting to get it fixed is ridiculously expensive! I wish I could get my money back and go with a quality refrigerator. I am angry at myself because we bought this one to replace a Samsung piece of junk and I go and do this to myself when I swore I’d never buy another one. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!! I have a dishwasher too and I hate that as much as the refrigerator!

Purchase Date 3/17/16. The Ice Maker (RF23HC) started freezing over about 1 year after we purchased. We started using a blow dryer to melt the huge chunks of ice. Now the entire back panel of the refrigerator freezes over and water pools in the bins. Clearly Samsung has known about this issue for years but still continues to sell the faulty refrigerators. There should be a recall on the refrigerator and full replacements supplied.

Why are we being treated so poorly by customer service? Doesnt the company realize that it will affect all of their product line with so many complaints and no follow up. Samsung. We have a ton of Samsung products throughout our home, and our children use a lot of the same. We bought a Samsung refrigerator four years ago and in our opinion its a piece of crap!!! Weve had to have it serviced a few times in the last three months, with them charging $90 to show up, $75 an hour and parts. Our ice maker quit and are French door freezer started to quit. The tech came and changed the sensor and it cost over $170.They freeze our words, the ice maker to this day has never work again, and guess what, now the stinking freezer is broken again!!! Trying to get service to respond is horrible, It took us five calls over a 10 hour period to finally get someone to respond the next day. We were told the motherboard needs to be replaced and then the tech said the signal seemed to be OK to the sensor so he really didnt need to be replaced. The sensor controls the freezer. So we decided to toss out about these hours or more of frozen food. Now we have to go out and buy another refrigerator after four years!!! Wow!!! I want to go to Home Depot to check out refrigerators have asked want to good refrigerator was in one of two that was recommended was a Samsung!!! Are you combative were going to have to spend at least $2000 for a new refrigerator it wont be a Samsung unless they offered to work something with us. We bought this refrigerator as the result of the settlement of a complaint I filed with the state Attorney General against Sears for a crappy Amana refrigerator that broke six times in five years. Siri refuses to let us buy an extended warranty Surrey: we put extended warranties on everything we own. And this is one of a dozen of the websites where we will be publishing negative feedback on our horror story with our SAMSUNG refrigerator, which is a piece of crap in our opinion.Samsung Ticket #: **. I bought all my appliances at PC Richard when I purchased my house in 2014. The salesman recommended Samsung. Told me they were the best on the market. I purchased washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator all top of the line Samsung appliances. My dryer had to be repaired 3 times. Finally I replaced it with a Whirlpool. My refrigerator was fixed on 1/10/18, 6/22/18, twice in July and again 9/4/18 when the PC Richard repairman video chatted with a Samsung representative. Again new parts were ordered. Refigerator was repaired 9/14/18. Today 9/21/18 my refrigerator is again not working. I called PC Richard and was told refrigerator cannot be exchanged unless authorized by Samsung and since its a Friday that will not happen until next week if at all; meanwhile I should make another service appointment. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN. I am disgusted and extremely frustrated.

I have several broken glasses when I open my DW, I can count on one of them being broken... The top rack is a joke. Spoke to Samsung and they sent a repairman out... He was a joke. I could not understand him. He told me to use vinegar too like I did not know that already. Waste of time. Im SO FREAKING UNHAPPY with this dishwasher but Im stuck with it. Samsung should recall them... Oh by the way, the rollers on the bottom shelf do not glide back and forth. If you take the shelf out too far, it will fall down onto the door. There are no stops to prevent this from happening. I need some help here. I dont have 700.00 for another new Dishwasher. :(

I have a Samsung dishwasher and refrigerator. We bought them at the same time, thinking Samsung is a good name. Wrong! Our dishwasher has never worked right since the first day we got it. It would never dry the dishes. Now, our refrigerator is broken. I am fairly handy, so I was able to fix it myself. However, I needed to know the correct part number to order for my french door. So I called customer service only to be told that they were not allowed to give part numbers out over the telephone. They would ship it to me at a cost that was double what I could get it for on Amazon. They then directed me to their website, where I could look the part number up myself. However, they didnt tell me they would charge me $5 to look up the part. If you are thinking about Samsung kitchen appliances, I would stay as far away as possible.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher in 2014 from Conns. It was the one with the bar that moves forwards and backwards. The first one started showing an error within 2 days. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. I wasnt warned by my salesperson, he was just wanting to make a sale. Next time, which I feel will be sooner rather than later I am going to get a different brand. Buyer, beware and do research! Pretty doesnt necessarily make it a great product!

I purchased French door fridge (Model RFG298AARS) in May 2010. To be safe, also bought the extended warranty. First problem occurred within 6 months - some sort of electronic (control board) problem. Still under warranty, so no cost issue. The part was replaced at no charge. Serviceman suggested a surge suppressor to help prevent damage to electronic components. Got one and have had no similar problems since. After about a year, ice started forming under the pull-out meat tray, freezing it in place and making it difficult to open. The service tech said it was a manufacturing defect and ground off part of the drip pan. Seems to have corrected the problem. Without the extended warranty, I would be facing a large repair bill. I have also had problems with my Samsung dishwasher and electric stove. l am very disappointed with Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase in the future.

We bought a house without a fridge and went looking. I loved the French doors and the basic layout of the fridge. Looked up the reviews on it and saw all the complaints about the ice maker. Thought that maybe the issue had been fixed. It hadn’t. Barely had it a year and had to get the ice maker replaced. Could only find 1 company that would even work on them. Took him a month trying to get the thing working again. Now here I am again 8 months later and it’s broke again. It has all the updates on it, less than a year old ice maker on it and when talking to the repairman he said that it’s a Samsung. It’s what they do. Tried contacting Samsung when it first went out and they told me that they were aware of the problem but it was past their warranty. They got their money so don’t care much if it works after they aren’t responsible for it. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

Bought July 2016. Now 3 1/2 years old. Called because freezer was not freezing while refrigerator still worked. Day before tech came found ice on inside wall of refrigerator. Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they wont warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working. My house has copper tubing plumbing. I havent had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.

Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. Samsung RS267TDPN - Do your research before considering this model! I have owned mine barely 3 yrs and have had major problems with the freezer side two times. In both cases, the freezer side seized to cool properly. In this last round, the temperature was 25-40 degrees (f) and would not get any cooler which meant the ice maker also stopped working. The first problem was repaired while under warranty. For my current problem, I am now having to pay out of pocket to replace the evap temp sensor and the Heater sheath assembly due to burnt wires. These are part of the EVAP assembly and are located in the lower freezer section and behind a plastic panel thus I assume it to be a defect with the unit and not something that could have been caused by user neglect. I also owned a Samsung over-the-range microwave oven which failed prematurely therefore I now question the quality of Samsung kitchen appliances.

This refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. After 3 years, we had to entirely replace the ice maker for over $200 in repairs (not covered by warranty). After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. I purchased it new 12/08, Model RB215LABP, from Lowes. We had problems with the unit maintaining temperature in both the refrigerator & freezer. It was apparently stemming from power surges. I cant remember the first time I contacted Samsung, but I was told to unplug the unit and wait 5 minutes. This happened on several occasions, with food spoilage occurring in several of the instances. On 11/23/2011, a power surge blew out a relay switch which cost $272 to replace. On April 26, 2012 a power surge knocked out the unit again. I contacted Samsung and I was referred to the Executive Complaint Dept. I have not returned their calls (2) yet. I want to consult with the law firm handling the class action lawsuit first.

My light went out and could not get the bulb out. So I unclipped it and it was melted so I took down other light and same thing - just not as bad. Apparently Samsung has a lot of product fire safety issues. Check your refrigerator light sockets and let me know. I think this is is a huge issue and you cant tell unless you drop the lights down. Its hidden on top.

Sure wish we had done some research before buying a Samsung fridge. After 3 years ours was getting so much water in the veggie drawers and in the freezer we had to defrost it. Had so much ice built up that the freezer drawer would not shut tight. I called Samsung and they had never heard of this problem. This is B.S. They dont listen. I will never buy another Samsung product. Should have stayed with Kenmore. Have never had a problem with their fridges. Our Samsung is a double door with the freezer on the bottom. We purchased it in Oct. 2014. I will let family & friends know DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG.

I purchased a Samsung double door refrigerator RT31HVMSI in May 2006. On 12th of December, my refrigerator stopped working and a complaint was lodged with you customer care. Subsequently, an engineer visited us promptly and the fridge was handed over to the representatives of Vision Cool Services, 2 New Taratalla Road, Kolkata -88 on Friday, 17th of December with the verbal assurance that my fridge would be returned on Tuesday, 21st of Dec. I had requested for a standby fridge as we are a working couple and a fridge is a necessity but I wasnt provided one. On the 21st, I was given an estimate which I confirmed again with the assurance of a delivery on the 23rd. I have taken leave today in order to take delivery of my fridge. After repeated calls routed through your customer care, I was informed that they do not have a delivery van at their disposal today. I have made the purchases of perishable non-vegetable items which will now be wasted. Such callous and irresponsible behavior is not acceptable. Kindly look into the matter and arrange for a prompt delivery.

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

We purchased a 3 door, 26 CU.Ft. French door Samsung refrigerator with an indoor water dispenser in November of 2012. Approximately a year and a half after the purchase, our refrigerator started making strange noises and there was water spilling out. We contacted Samsung and later had a technician from Best Buy come out and diagnose the refrigerator. Luckily he was able to repair it - he explained that the refrigerator had to be defrosted as the coils had frozen over. Since then, every five to six months we have had to defrost our refrigerator to keep it working. Ice builds up and the cooling element fails. We now keep a close eye on the fridge. The first time it froze over we lost food. Since then we have moved quick to defrost it before it appears to be running warm. But we do worry about the regular cooling in light of this problem. At bottom, this is not what we expected from our purchase. We bought a brand new refrigerator and have not received the quality we expected.

Our family purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RFF266-AEPN) in fall 2016. It was about $1,600 and looks nice. In February 2018 (after 12 months - when the warranty expired), we heard random beeping noises in the afternoon and evenings with the freezer temperature panel fluctuating wildly from -8F to 2F. I had a bad feeling when two high-quality appliance repair companies both refused to diagnose or fix ANY Samsung refrigerators. The Sears Appliance Service Company said the freezer fan was broken and that the replacement part was $650 in addition to a service installation fee ($150). So, now Im stuck with purchasing a brand new refrigerator in less than 2 years! Beware if you purchase a Samsung refrigerator. Im never going to buy a Samsung-brand refrigerator again.

The unit gave an error code - bad pump, and never actually worked. Samsung customer support is the most rude, terrible support ever and there is no warranty based on install date, just on purchase date. Appliance repair said the parts cost for the pump is $350 and Im better off throwing this unit away and buying a different brand. Have the same unit in a rental and it works but really doesnt clean well at all. Dont buy Samsung appliances.

This refrigerator is one of the best we have ever had. Being a Navy family, we are always on the move, resulting in new appliances every few years. We found early on that selling our used appliances before a move, was more cost effective than risking damage to them. Samsung refrigerators are priced well, energy efficient, as well as nice to look at. I love the french doors and freezer on the bottom. The middle drawer is the favorite feature in this house. Putting the most used items in the drawer, saves opening the doors to the top storage area so many times each day. The crisper drawer lives up to its name, keeping lettuce fresh and crispy as long as 10 days.

I purchased my Samsung SM 26CF 4D refrigerator in July of 2014 for almost $1000. Now neither the refrigerator nor the freezer are working. In addition, it is kept at a residence I rent out but only had my first renter of the season in May. When he got there the entire contents were rotten and even after a cleaning, the interior smells horrible. I have called Samsung 3 different times only to be told each time someone will respond per their policy within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. They also said they would escalate it to their executive team and they would call back within 48 hours. This means nothing as I last heard from them 6 days ago when I called them. To get me off track the rep said I needed my receipt, which I have had since the first time I called. He then said These things take time. Their customer services is horrible and they look for reasons not to fulfill their responsibilities. Please do not buy a Samsung appliance from them.

I purchased a French Door Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator is dripping water down the inside back wall which pools under the crisper drawers and freezes. The first time I realized this the ice was nearly two inches thick and the drawers were hard to open. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowes because I bought the item there with the extended warranty. Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldnt locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowes manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowes provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isnt something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers. The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

I came home from work, and there is a number 1 and an E flashing. I got out the manual which says to unplug for 10 minutes. I did it and plugged back in; same thing. I called the 1-800-samsung and was told Sorry, your 1-year warranty was up on the end of November. I had purchased the fridge, their stove, dishwasher, and microwave all from Sears in Chesterfield, MO. I spent a lot of money. The French-door fridge with bottom-mount freezer was the most expensive piece. I wish I would have looked at the complaints on their products before purchasing. The customer service said only that We are so sorry. over and over but that they will send a repair at their convenience and I will have to pay. it is out of warranty, they added. I said Samsung must know their product will surely fail after the first year is out. Again, I was told I am so sorry. Would you like to schedule a repairman? Please, if anyone is even remotely considering a product of Samsung, rethink it. The beautiful stainless steel dents so easily and will only last shortly after your warranty is up. Dont be fooled. The customer service lady said we have a better warranty on our TV. Too bad it isnt my TV. Dont buy Samsung!

Here it is in a nutshell (a rather big nutshell)... I STRONGLY advise again
Here it is in a nutshell (a rather big nutshell)... I STRONGLY advise against purchasing a Samsung range (Samsung MODEL NE59J7630SW) for the following reasons... Purchased 01/15/2017, delivered 02/07/2017. We have been contacting Samsung for service since October with no success. We have now been WITHOUT A WORKING RANGE FOR OVER A MONTH. The so-called SERVICE and WARRANTY for this appliance is a joke (See below). We have not used the stove as Samsung instructed for over a month.Weve spent $100s of dollars eating out and can only can eat cold sandwiches at home. We also had to cancel our Christmas gathering that weve had for 15 years due to this on-going problem. Samsung now says they dont have ANYONE to service our area and were promised a full REFUND (still waiting for it). We bought it at HOME DEPOT. So that you can fully understand our frustration, heres a log of how weve tried to resolve this...10/16 - Called for service - Hot element light stays on continuously (NO CALLBACK OR RESPONSE). 11/06 - I burned my hand because I didnt know the element was actually HOT! 12/01 - Called again (ticket **) Stove-top cracked (Tech to call with service date, NO CALL RECEIVED). 12/07 - Received email from Samsung - CANCELLED TICKET/SERVICE CALL??? 12/07 - Called Home Depot appliance manager (said to try again, let him know if not resolved).12/14 - EMAIL from Samsung (new ticket **) - Appointment made for 12/18 (NEVER SHOWED). 12/18 - No one showed up. Called Samsung, service center said date was 12/21 9am-1pm (said Samsung messed update). 12/21 - Tech called 11:30 am running late, changed to 3:30 pm. Tech called 4:30 stuck in traffic, will be here late (NEVER CALLED BACK OR SHOWED UP). We texted technician at 4:45 asked him to please come next day so we would have our stove by Xmas (NEVER REPLIED).12/22 - Called Service Center, They said we were TOO FAR AWAY and they needed to service locals first. 12/22 - Called Samsung, They said they would find another service center to fix it by 12/27 or ISSUE US A REFUND. 12/22 - Called Home Depot - Rich called Samsung/called us back/said Samsung would repair it by 12/27. 12/23 - EMAIL from Samsung (new ticket **), said service center would call to set date (NO CALL RECEIVED). 12/26 - Called Home Depot (Rich) - got nowhere.12/27 - Day came and went without any call from Samsung or service center. 12/28 - 4:55 pm - Call from Service Center to make appointment for 01/03/18 1 pm-3 pm. 12/28 - 4:56 pm - EMAIL from Samsung CANCELLED. 01/03/18 appointment just made a minute earlier!!! 12/29 - I CALLED SAMSUNG and spoke to 3 different people/supervisors and demanded REFUND as promised (GOT NOWHERE). 01/03 - Samsung called, they CANT FIND SERVICE CENTER, requested Receipt (we emailed it to EFAX@SEA.SAMSUNG.COM ref# **).01/04 - Samsung called - they requested Bill of Sale (we emailed it to EFAX@SEA.SAMSUNG.COM ref# **). 01/05 - (5:31pm) Samsung called - requested SPECIAL Bill of Sale (was sent on 4th but we sent AGAIN to EFAX@SEA.SAMSUNG.COM). 01/05 - (7:52pm) Samsung called - said received all of the information except... MISSING THE SPECIAL CUSTOMER INVOICE RECEIPT. 01/05 - (8:57pm) I called Samsung back, told them we ALREADY SENT THEM EVERY DOCUMENT AND RECEIPT WE HAD RECEIVED from Home Depot.01/10 - We re-emailed ALL PAPERWORK WE RECEIVED TO SAMSUNG AGAIN... sent to (EFAX@SEA.SAMSUNG.COM ref# **). 01/10 - We emailed copies of all papers to Samsung, Home Depot store manager AND our attorney. 01/10 - We are seeing our lawyer Monday (well NEVER purchase another Samsung product).

Im 65 years old. Ive owned a home since I was 19 years old. Ive had experience with most if not all of the major brands over the course of time. In 2016 we purchased a Samsung Kitchen suite of Black Stainless steel appliances. We have had calls on every appliance except the microwave. The stove fried the electronics the very first time we used the self cleaning oven function. It currently sits with most the digital readout gone. The refrigerator is the worst of all of them. The ice maker freezes up about every 6 weeks, and the refrigerator itself freezes up needing complete unplug defrost every 5-6 months minimum. The dishwasher was super quiet for about a year then started making noise. Repairman says its the pump... I can replace it for $275 and it will do the same thing in about a year. If it were me Id wait for it to quit working all together. You couldnt give me another set of Samsung kitchen appliances. I wouldnt waste my time removing the Samsung junk I own to replace with more junk. Never buy appliances because theyre the only ones with the color you like!

Bought a new refrigerator from Lowe’s, less than 2 years ago, took out extended warranty. We have been without a refrigerator now for 2 months. The repair company ordered parts without even coming out, when they did come out, they sent email that they would be there Wednesday from 11-3, but when we called lady said they weren’t coming that they just ordered parts by what we said it was doing, they had wrong parts, (husband now has missed two days of work) Samsung offer to refund part of our money. We could have a full refund if we ordered another one from them. Told them I don’t want anything from Samsung, so they offered a low refund which I agreed to.Now every week to week in half they call and text and want more information and serial numbers taken off. I can’t seem to get anyone at Samsung to help and be honest. Have been told twice they have all they need, then they call again. We are having to hold on to this piece of crap all this time, it is taking up space and I am most unhappy. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Guy wouldn’t even transfer me to manager, he cut me off.

I have a Samsung Model RFG297HDPN French door refrigerator. Six weeks ago the ice maker stopped working. I removed the ice maker and brought it to a repair shop. They checked the ice maker and it was working properly. I contacted Samsung and they gave me the name of an authorized Samsung repair center. The service man came out, checked the ice maker and said it was fine. He then checked the water valve going to the ice maker and said it was bad. He tried ordering just the valve, but Samsung stopped selling just the valve due to water leaking problems occurring by just changing the valve. He had to order an entire valve assembly. The service man stated Samsung had upgraded the valve assembly four times in the past 3 to 4 years, due to problems. The new valve assembly arrived yesterday after being delayed for over 4 weeks. Eighteen hours after the new valve assembly was installed the ice maker has not produced one cube of ice. Contacted the service man again this morning and he is coming out on Monday and will try installing a new ice maker. Like so many other articles I read, Samsung does not stand by their products. There are page, after page, after page of complaints regarding Samsung refrigerators. A $3,000.00 refrigerator and the company has the worse service in the industry. Im now contacting my State government consumer affairs agency, and filing a complaint. Im also contacting law firms and hopefully will find one that will file a class action suit against Samsung.

I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Stee
I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Steel (SES). Immediately it was evident the ice maker was defective. Problems included no full size ice cubes, leaking constantly and requiring manual defrost and reset whenever door was left open more than a few seconds, for example if loading a large grocery order. It took quite a while for SES to respond to my concern. The repairman Samsung sent, while under warranty, pierced the mechanism with an ice pick, left in anger, and it took months to receive a replacement part and installation. Problem unsolved. I then went back through SES who took so long to get a repair request to Samsung, the warranty expired. Samsung did make the concession of sending out a repairman who said this model was known for its leaky ice maker, there was nothing he could do and to call the company periodically as it should soon be covered by a recall. I called every 4-6 months for over a year and a half to be told each time Samsung was aware of the problem and there was no remedy. Finally, the ice maker stopped working all together. I then called Sears Repair. The workman told me that this model was being replaced for any Sears customer with a long-term contract because Samsung was so unresponsive regarding the ice maker defects. He told me class action suits were pending. He did order a new motor. The second Sears technician who showed up to replace the $392 part told me it was a upgraded part for the ice maker. All problems resolved! So if Samsung knew about the problem and upgraded its ice maker motor, why wasnt it covered as part of a recall. And why, in all the calls and queries I made was I not told that upgraded replacement parts were available. And finally since this part solved the problem reported while under warranty, why isnt at least the cost of the part covered? Total repair was $600. I am asking for cost of the part. So far it has fallen on deaf ears at 1-800 SAMSUNG I am awaiting a supervisors supervisor call back. Wish me luck. Otherwise the fridge seems well designed and working well.

Via the Appliance Repair company sent by Lowes took a week to come and then had to order parts. The parts ordered from Samsung took two weeks to deliver and were the wrong parts. Today, a month later, the second set of parts ordered were also wrong and I was told that Samsung shipped the wrong parts once again. Samsung cant be contacted nor expedite the parts. The service provider indicated that Samsung has a poor parts department and is not responsive to the consumers need to quickly obtain parts to repair its products. The part needed is now on order once again and I am not optimistic that Samsung is capable of delivering the proper part for its product. I was told that Samsung has many victims experiencing this same issue and simply doesnt care about the consumer.

Our $2323.95 Samsung refrigerator (RFG297HD) was purchased less than 3 years ago. We were under the impression (albeit falsely so) that Samsung products were superior in quality, and that this company stood behind the integrity of its products. NOT!!! We have already had to replace the ice maker and the freezer fan assembly. After speaking to three different phone operators (all of which represented a series of going-through-the-proverbial-policy-motions), I finally was put into the ECR department in hopes of speaking to someone, who had not already been thoroughly programmed into the mechanical answers representing Samsung androidism. Suffice it to say, I hit wall, after wall, after wall after Wall. The only so-to-speak courtesy I was offered was to spend some additional money to buy into another year of protection. Really? I am sorry, but when I spend this kind of money for a product, I expect quality performance for a little longer than two years before it start breaking down, leading me to dig into my pocketbook again. Moreover, to spend additional money for extended warranties on products (i.e. Samsung products) highly suggests that Samsung does not want to be held responsible for its own technical errors or designed failures.

I bought a Samsung RF266 in 2008 after reading reviews on several websites about how convenient and reliable they were. Talk about bunk, I really wonder if these companies pay for those endorsements. I have had nothing but problems with this pile of junk. The ice maker falls apart constantly and rarely works right. And then, the fridge completely froze up inside. The repairman told me to let it thaw out 24 hours before he can come work on it (what am I supposed to do with the food in the meantime?). And then, he said hes not sure whats wrong with it. He spent an hour on the phone with a Samsung tech (which he charged me $48 for) and replaced a part that took 3 days to get. That didnt fix it. He rebated the labor but I was still stuck with the part ($65). I waited 3 more days for another part, which still didnt fix it. Two days later, we got another part, which did fix it. Samsung technical said that both parts were bad. I paid $1,800 for the unit. And I have, to date, spent nearly $900 in repair bills, not to mention what Ive suffered in food loss. Im also told there is a class action lawsuit over this issue that Im having. But I cant find access to the site where I can get in on it. My best advice: If you really want to buy a Samsung, buy an extra fridge in case the main Samsung goes down.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!

In 2013 we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator French door up and down. We paid 2,999.00. First we had the ice bucket replaced twice. This took several months each time to get a service order number. The problem existed. Finally the third repairman told us there was a Freon leak which couldnt be fixed. In March 2015, Samsung finally agreed it was a manufacturing problem and we would be refunded the full amount of our purchase price. I have made well over 50 documented calls to find out when we would receive our check. We have been without a refrigerator for over three months. Each time I call, I speak to a different person. I have been told I would receive a satisfaction survey many times which I have never received. We are still waiting for our check which was apparently mailed over a month ago. This whole experience has convinced me Samsung does not care one bit about their Customer Service. We have many Samsung products. I now pray nothing happens to any other Samsung product. Im not sure I could go through this awful nightmare again.

We bought 1000 dollar Samsung 2 years ago. Only reason we replaced our 300 Maytag was because it was almond and we wanted stainless steel. We went to buy a Bosch but salesclerk said Samsung was better and quieter. So we listened. Im a person who still scrubs all my dishes before hand even though they say its not necessary. We called service and said dishes were still dirty. We tried putting in dirty dishes, different dish washing soap etc. our dishwasher. Every time you open it smells like someone died. We had ice build up and water under the drawers in the fridge within 6 months of purchase. It warped our new hardwood floors under the fridge. We had the repairman come out to fix it. He told my wife it was my fault by not installing the filter correctly - crock. 4 months later called again for the same issue. This repairman was very apologetic and said these fridges get Styrofoam packing material caught in the water line. So, it worked for about 4 months and then same problem again. Samsung will not look at it and suggested we get a home warranty and have them fix it. Ice maker works off and on, is very noisy when it does work. Horrible customer service... worst fridge I have EVER OWNED. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one.

My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!

I had the same problem with my Samsung fridge. Only had it for 2 years and it kept making these loud buzzer noises like the kind you hear on a game show when you answer incorrectly. And clunking sounds - and finally the defroster iced up and we had to unplug to thaw. Then it did the same thing again 2 weeks later! Had a hard time finding a service guy to come look at it - no one wants to deal with Samsung - said they get no support. Anyway had to order a new defrost unit - it took 6 weeks - I am not kidding! They replaced it when it came in and 5 weeks later - here I am again the exact same problem! Im done with it - taking a $1,500.00 loss because cant afford to keep replacing the part. This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2009. It has been leaking a lot of water down to the bottom of the refrigerator, under the drawers, which then leaks out onto the floor at least two or three times per week. We assume it is from the filter area. We do use the manufacture recommended filters so are not sure has caused this. The center of the refrigerator between freezer and fridge area gets very hot to the touch around the indoor icemaker. Wish we never bought this. After 13 months (just after warranty expired) the icemaker began icing over. I called Samsung who would only send out a paid repair person. I learned how to de-ice it myself and have to do this every three months or so. I just discovered a fix on YouTube which resulted in $200 worth of parts. Now, three years later, there is a solid sheet of ice under the crisper drawer and a very loud fan noise coming from the fridge (RF263BEAESR/AA). Again using YouTube I discovered that ice builds up because of another poor design and I had to remove all the food, all the shelves, including the difficult to remove one above the crisper drawer, and then pry off a back panel and use a hair dryer to defrost it. Ice had built up and the fan was hitting the ice. This is due to a small metal piece that is attached to the heating element, the metal piece isnt long enough and allows the drain to freeze closed. This causes the ice build up. This is an expensive appliance and I am already looking at having to replace it because it is not reliable and requires so much maintenance. My old fridge was a cheap GE that lasted 16 years without a single repair. Samsung knows about the design flaws, has even issued a technical bulletin about it. They refuse to issue a recall and correct their mistake, leaving so many homeowners frustrated. I will not buy another Samsung product as long as I live! There are several class-action lawsuits pending against Samsung in regards to this appliance. Buyer beware, run from Samsung appliances.

Heres the conclusion to my review. The repair tech came to my home today and saw the blinking light on the Samsung refrigerator. He said hed have to look this up online. His response: “Your freezer fan is blocked by ice. It will cost $240.00.” The $110.00 service fee would be waived if I wanted him to remove the ice, but if the sensor was broken, thats $80. And if the fan was also broken, another $80. The warranty for the work was only 90 days. So, I gave him his $110 for wasting my time and sent him on his way, then proceeded to take apart my freezer (unscrewed everything). Once the back panel was removed, it was covered in so much ice I boiled water to melt it and knocked it away from the wires. I checked to make sure my plugs were fitted properly. I took out the fan - it looked fine. 2 hours later, it’s working again; no flashing lights, the freezer and fridge were cold again and all I needed was a Phillips screwdriver. I would recommend trying this first if you have a couple of hours. It will save you time and money.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. 13 months ago we bought a Samsung Dishwasher: DW80F800UWS. Within the first 4 months it stopped working, displaying an error code 1E and 3E. Samsung sent a repair service, they had to order a part, which was on backorder (as a number of these parts were in demand) and we waited 3 weeks to get our dishwasher fixed.m Last night it fails again. Same error codes. Samsung says it is off warranty so they wont fix it. The service company, Totem Appliances in Burnaby, BC, says they only warranty the parts for 90 days. They wont fix it either, unless I pay for it. Likely about $300. I purchased a home in October 2018 with a suite of 4-year-old Samsung appliances. The only good thing about the dishwasher is that its quiet. With that being said dishes often come out after being washed with food particles still on them and do not dry well. My issues started a month ago when the dishwasher wouldnt complete a full cycle - it was stuck mid-cycle. I chatted with a Samsung rep who said to flip the switch off and back on on the circuit breaker. This reset the dishwasher and it did complete the cycle. Two weeks later, the dishwasher lights were flashing, it was making a suction noise, flashing a LE code and wouldnt power off. I had to shut off the circuit breaker.I chatted again with a Samsung tech, who promised a tech would be out the following Monday. That was the 1st lie. The technician couldnt come until Wednesday and I had to pay $100 for a trip fee (the rep never mentioned this) because its out of warranty. Tech comes out and says I need a new door because the door wont properly lock - which will be $230. I have a hard time believing the door is suddenly the issue considering the dishwasher is 4 years old. After reading the other nightmare reviews on this site, Im certainly not going to funnel $330 into the repair of a garbage appliance - which should work properly. Even after taking my issues to Twitter, Samsung has still yet to respond. Garbage appliances + terrible customer service = me spending money to buy a new Bosch dishwasher. Save your money and avoid Samsung appliances like the plaque! Ive also had to reset the circuit breaker on the 4-year-old refrigerator a couple of times. Never had any issues with the 9-year-old suite of Kenmore appliances in my last home.

My microwave sensors are WAY off, and we have tried to fix, but again, either the popcorn burns or pops 3 kernels. It too rattles. These are all issues I can deal with.My biggest issue is the refrigerator. We are currently on our FOURTH unit. The first unit would only cool to 42 degrees. The second unit wouldnt even power up when they brought it out. The third unit the doors would not close completely even though they worked and tried to adjust. Installers said the brackets were not aligned correctly. So, I finally after months of hassle get a new one. Whew... Or so I thought. I have had 5 service appointments to fix the same issues on this unit and am still having issues. When I contacted Samsung today, I was told they were sorry, but it was out of warranty. Even though the issues are documented. We escalated and were told they would do us a one time favor to have another technician come out. Im not sure why. It is clearly a design flaw. My ice is slush, I always get about a 1/8 cup of water first before hitting the ice button due to the melted ice. The ice drips to the bottom of the panel and then freezes like a rock jamming the ice maker. I am told that it is due to putting groceries in my refrigerator (someone PLEASE tell me this is NOT the answer I got!) What are you supposed to do with a refrigerator if you cannot put groceries in it!?I was also told that the low ice production was not due to melting (mind you I have puddles of water) but due to overuse. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and use a very minimal amount of ice. If it cannot keep up with our demands, it should not even be an option! I use the power freeze and power cool button when we stock the fridge to keep it from warming down too much, as the last technician recommended, but this isnt the answer either. Id love to have my $3K+ back and go back to my ugly, but extremely useful old appliances! The pages of reviews tell me this is a lemon, but Samsung refuses to do anything about it!

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refriger
I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.
