Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerato
Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. I will never buy another product from Samsung-a company that makes terrible products and fails to acknowledge and repair their defects.

I purchased a Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. electric range from Sears outlet (certified). After 90 days, the range wouldnt turn on, all functions stopped. The computer board is defective. Samsung didnt honor the warranty as it was out of the box. Sears, even though has a warranty for a year on all products purchased in their store, required that we buy additional warranty contract. With that, they ordered the part from overseas, and we have been waiting for 7 weeks with no range. Samsung does not provide parts to their range. For the range to fail within 90 days is a major defect. Sears outlet dont honor their warranty.

We redid our kitchen and bought all new appliances. We bought Samsung fridge stove and microwave. From the time we used the stove it has made a loud clicking sound as it heats up. We phoned Samsung and after many calls and a lot of time on hold a repair company phoned me and told me it was the relay and that was normal for a Samsung. If I had known that this oven would make this much noise I would not have bought it.

I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model FR323TED February 2013. I have the same problems as all the other poor unfortunate buyers of this product. The defrost cycle does not work, the ice builds up in the back panel hits the fan and makes a terrible noise. Must be defrosted once a month. Samsung will not admit to the problem. There should be a class action suit. I wish I would have seen this website before I bought or started to repair this product. I need to face the fact that this refrigerator needs to go out to my back lot and used for target practice with my 454 Casull. Never will I ever buy another Samsung product.

Purchased a new Samsung oven, dishwasher and fridge combo from Best Buy. Within 4 months of owning the oven, used very little, the oven started having serious issues. The oven would take forever to heat up, have to put it on 500 degrees to get it to heat up to 350 degrees. When you opened the door to put anything in the oven it dropped about 200 degrees. Have to wait for it to heat up again. In the middle of baking time, the oven would drop its temperature. Other times it would heat above whatever you place the oven temp on. Went to Best Buy, they had to call Samsung. Was going to be on hold for over a half hour so left and placed the called myself. When I finally got a hold of Samsung, they said they had never heard of anything like this before happening. They sent out a tech. The tech determined the whole motherboard needed replaced. Three weeks later the motherboard arrived and a tech came out and installed. Havent had problems since however for the oven only being a few months old the motherboard should not have failed. The fridge is very loud and the freezer causes freezer burn on everything. I am glad that Samsung had no issues sending someone out to repair it at no charge however they need to look more into what is causing the issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving dinner!

Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. I am also going to the U.S. gov recall website and post there. I hope everyone else does too. This will force a recall and cost them tons of money, which they should be responsible for.

The install of my dishwasher by a Samsung subcontractor in Sacramento, CA was installed backwards. Therefore a flood occurred the next day. I had to call a plumber emergency to fix it and pay out of my pocket. Samsung refused to reimburse. Fridge French door brand new doors do not close properly. Service never showed. Samsung spent an hour on phone not agreeing to service and finally agreeing even though fridge is under a year old. Installers who are from Samsung installed doors incorrectly. Again they refuse to fix. Bins in fridge break within a year and again they refuse to fix. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Its bad enough their appliances are bad but their service is awful and I purchased appliances straight from Samsung not from a store. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. EVERYONE OF THEM. Service horrible too.

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. Wont buy another appliance with Samsung on it.

Called Samsung, would not replace. Had 18 techs out to try and fix the problems. 4 times we have replaced the auger, motor, ice maker, sealers, epoxy, defrost sensor and evaporator cover. It is getting ridiculous. Bought brand new July 2016 and it has not stopped having problems. Water leaking out of ice maker filling up canal leaking all over fridge build up corrosion and all over floor, lost lots of food. Top shelf freezing. Crackling, popping or clicking sound. Ice build up. Slushy ice comes out. Ice spews out all over. Leak in bins and under bins and on and in freezer.

I had written earlier regarding Samsungs positive response for my request for service but they performed even better when I encountered additional service problems. The service tech they selected wasnt responding to my efforts to do the job. I called Samsung and reported the delay. After that call, they called me every day to determine if the rep had set up an appointment and offered to give the job to a different technician. I asked for another service center and they set it up and in 2 days, the microwave had the control panel replaced at no cost. The service rep was timely, called me in advance and finished the job in less than 10 minutes. Best effort by a major company ever!

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and food being ruined continuously because it keeps defrosting. I have contacted Samsung numerous times about the issues. Their warranty is a joke. Especially when you have to pay $75 just to get the company they send out to look at the item. The food replacements was definitely not worth what I paid for this product. I have read horrible reviews on their appliances and unfortunately I regret purchasing this product. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

My freezer stopped freezing & I called a repair man to fix it (Samsung is a hard company for repair people to deal with and there are very limited people that work on them). Upon looking at it he told me that it was leaking Freon (which should never happen on this unit because its sealed). He charged me $90 and suggested that I call Samsung and explain to them to see if they would help me because it would be a lengthy repair and it could cost $400 and to top it off there may be no way to located the leak if its too small to patch. So, I called Samsung and after several calls & several supervisors I got them to set up an appointment with A&E Factory repairs - to which they didnt show up for that appointment. Samsung called them again & set an appointment for later the same day - to which they did not show up again. Again Samsung called them (this time I required a 3 way call) & set up another appointment (for another day). The A&E Factory repair guy came, pulled the freezer out & determined that it was in fact leaking. He ordered the parts & two weeks later the repair guy came. He said he could not work on the unit because I had laminate flooring & he requested that I sign a waiver. I refused & they left. I then called to reset another appointment for three weeks later (after my vacation) and was told that that date wasnt available yet, Id have to call back next week.Samsung has not helped me with my freezer issue and I am not happy at all with their product or the warranty repair service. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product in my life! Repair people dont want work with Samsung products. Their Customer Service sucks! They use A&E Factory repair (Their Customer Service sucks!).

What hasnt gone wrong. The latest problem is the handle on the freezer drawer. It keeps coming off. There are two bolts that screw into the freezer drawer that the handle attaches to. The problem is, the refrigerator has a latent known defect in which the threaded piece inside the drawer the bolt screws into breaks off inside the drawer. This is clearly a latent defect with the manufacturing of the product. Samsung considers this a cosmetic issue. Huhhhh, they would not honor the repair and wanted me to purchase another warranty. We have had many other issues like the ice machine, water filter and so on. I am so done with Samsung – a crappy product, bad service. Dont buy.

We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNS
We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNSR/AA) back in June from hhgregg. According to the date on the inside panel the refrigerator was built sometime in January 2014. We purchased the unit June 2014 and it’s barely six months later and the refrigerator stopped working! That refrigerator wasn’t cheap in price but obviously that wasn’t the case when it came to its assembly. The refrigerator died on us this past Saturday, October 11, 2014 and I put in a repair request online Sunday via the Samsung website. As I had put all the details required to get the process moving, imagine my surprise when those same details were requested yet again when someone finally got around to calling. So once again I sent the information via the website and my personal email. After sending the information again I was under the impression that a repair person would be sent out ASAP to remedy the malfunctioning refrigerator problem but I was wrong. A repair person didnt show up until Thursday October 16, 2014, five days later. Let me reiterate - five days have passed with us being without a working refrigerator. The repairman arrived before 12pm. He proceeded to inform my mother that he was told that if the refrigerator could be repaired he would repair it. He told us that it would take two to four hours to fix the problem. He checked various aspects of the refrigerator and spoke with someone that I assume was a representative of the Samsung company via his company phone and shortly thereafter around 1:15pm, he went outside. We assumed he went to his truck to retrieve the necessary materials or tools to fix the problem and we haven’t seen the repairman since!!! So, not only have we been without a working refrigerator six days but to add insult to injury the person that the company sent out to repair the malfunctioning unit has left us in a lurch without so much as a word!My mother has been on the phone with numerous company reps since Monday and we have yet to have this situation resolved. The last person she spoke with today (10-17-14) said someone would be out Monday. I wont believe it until I see it. I am quite disgusted with Samsung and personally will NEVER purchase product they create.

I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

The control panel went bad, and the unit (two years old, gently used) flashed an error message. Its a common display, from what I learned online. Samsung makes a microwave with oven lights and fan to fit over an oven but cant tolerate the heat and vapor that rises from the stove. Many, many of such units have suffered control panel failure. I called Samsung and outlined the problem. That was almost two weeks ago. The Samsung representative said I would receive a call within two days with information about who would repair the unit at no cost to me. The company would extend the warranty for this repair because of design flaws. Then, she said, I would receive a call within no more than two additional days from the repair company to set a date and time for the replacement. Ive received no calls from anybody about this problem. Im trying now to retrace my earlier call, and its frustrating. I want my microwave repaired, and Samsung is not cooperating after promising my satisfaction.

This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

Wow. Look at all these reviews. Same **, different user. I have the same microwave that everyone is complaining about here. This microwave has always been noisy (really noisy) and the keypad hard to use. We bought it to replace a Kenmore microwave that was over 20 years old (like our fridge), but still working. Now, we are getting the common SE problem; no amount of beating, unplugging, cursing, or other trickery will coax it into working. I went with this one because it looked great with our Frigidaire cooktop and oven, and I did not care for the styling of the Frigidaire micro. What a crock! Appliances should last. The oven that gave up and had to be replaced was a Magic Chef from 1966. Show me an appliance from a contemporary manufacturer that lasts over 50 years these days. Not gonna happen. I did expect to get more than 2 years out of a $300 microwave, however. I lust the Samsung fridges, but I will have to get over it and see if Kenmore can provide one with the same features when I need that, because I will not be getting a Samsung. I have a phone (4 years old) that will need replacing soon, and the iPhone is looking pretty good. Now, I’m glad we went with another manufacturer for the recently purchased TV, judging from the tales of customer service listed on the site. We will try the panel repair tonight, but I am sure the Magnetron will bite it soon, according to the others. So it will be a matter of time before I have to purchase another microwave, not a Samsung this time, no matter how sexy it is.

I called Lowes after we had opened everything that was delivered with our new Samsung oven/range to say the griddle was missing. I was told it had gone through and the griddle would be delivered with 15 business days, this was on Aug. 26th. On Sept. 27th I called to find out why I hadnt received it yet and was apologized to and told there was no explanation as to why it didnt ship, but she assured me it would go out that day. Oct. 15th I call once again and now am told it does not come with a griddle, of course I asked why it was shown to come with the griddle at Lowes and both times I had called Samsung they never said it didnt. I asked to speak to a manager who on again repeated it didnt come with it. There was o explanation as to the fact 3 other people said it DID come with it. I was left with No. We are NOT going to honor this. My manual doesnt show it on that model, again no explanation as to why it was displayed with one and 2 previous Samsung representatives said it did come with it. All of my appliances were replaced with Samsung when we moved into our home 2 months ago, they dont really care, so Ill never buy another Samsung anything. I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Well, that was enough of their customer service for me. Back that one went for a good old made in U.S.A. GE.

Worst (and most expensive) refrigerator Ive ever had. Ordered the perfect fridge but kept getting offers for replacement (different) models that didnt have same features. Finally settled on completely different model and have nothing good to say about it. Drawers are not smooth and are noisy. It makes random noises all day/night. When getting crushed ice for a normal sized glass, it goes all over the place. The doors neither open nor close easily. You have to completely shut off the water supply to replace the filter. It doesnt even have a section for butter. Literally hoping this thing dies by some random act of God so I can justify replacing it.

My 4 year old Samsung French Door Refrigerator stopped cooling. As it was a Saturday night, I called a local repair company who came out and replaced the electronic control boards. That didnt fix the issue, so I called Samsung and found out that the unit has a 5 year warranty on the closed system. They gave me a repair ticket and said that the service provider would call in 24 to 48 hours later. The service center rejected the ticket because it doesnt do that repair. I have so far called the service center 4 times and have been escalated to the Executive Customer Relations department. Each time they have sent the ticket to the same service center and it has been cancelled. I have tried to escalate further but the Executive Customer Relations department is apparently a series of call centers with no centralized structure, no consistency and no accountability. I am giving up on Samsung at this point and I will never buy another one of their products. It appears to me that the warranty is a sham because they do not have anyone to actually do the repair they warranty.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator model #RS265TDBP in July 2010 from Best Buy. In early 2012, the computer board display on my refrigerator couldnt be read. It appeared to be working fine, you just couldnt read it and I had no idea what the temperature was. Since it only had a year warranty, the Samsung Certified Repair in my area came out to fix it at a cost of $200.00. Then in July of 2012, my refrigerator stopped getting cold. The freezer was fine, but the fridge stopped. We again called the Samsung certified person that had done the repairs before, but they said they only issued a 30-day warranty on the computer board (which we were told by another tech was the problem). We decided to go with another repair company that gave a 5-year warranty on parts. They came out and said there was a block of ice on the fan motor, which caused it to blow out the circuit board and the computer board. Now to fix it was over $300. Now just two weeks ago, Dec 2012, the exact same thing happened again. The fridge got warm, food spoiled, no fan running and the smell of burnt circuit board. We called the company who did the repairs and had them come out again to inspect. Lo and behold, it is the exact same problem. Since they gave us a 5-year warranty on the part, they are paying for the new parts but we still have to come up with the $140 labor. I contacted Samsung to tell them about the defective unit and see if they could do anything to help as it looks like we are going to have to repair this every 3-4 months or purchase a new one. All they said was its too old and there is nothing they can do. Really? Its less than 3 years old. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator! My refrigerator is a lemon.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my Samsung DMT 400 that the appliance company told me was state of the art. I too have suffered the smell, the failure to drain, and the 50-50 chance that the soap would not dispense. I guess I just tolerated it until the lights started blinking. The company tells me based on the sequence of lights that I have a Low Level Water Error. Of course because the machine is more than a year old, the repair is on me. Even though they can diagnose the problem over the phone, no authorized Samsung repair shop will even give me a rough estimate as to the cost of repair, the cost for a different brand of machine new is about $400...the cost of the service call is $99. Sounds like a no brainer, but I guess this little repair will cost me a couple of hundred dollars and likely the dishes will still stink. No more Samsung appliances ever, its clearly not their core competency.

We had ice build up and water under the drawers in the fridge within 6 months of purchase. It warped our new hardwood floors under the fridge. We had the repairman come out to fix it. He told my wife it was my fault by not installing the filter correctly - crock. 4 months later called again for the same issue. This repairman was very apologetic and said these fridges get Styrofoam packing material caught in the water line. So, it worked for about 4 months and then same problem again. Samsung will not look at it and suggested we get a home warranty and have them fix it. Ice maker works off and on, is very noisy when it does work. Horrible customer service... worst fridge I have EVER OWNED. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one.

After reading Consumers Report Magazine and choosing the top rated products, we went to Best Buy and purchased all three appliances at once. The Oven started smoking (first time used), filled the house with toxic smoke, burnt my ladys face. The microwave exhaust fan never turned on. All this happened within the first time we used the oven. The side by side refrigerator started leaking water and wont stop leaking (water dispenser). Samsung sent out repairman for the range-oven, ordered parts then came back out to finish repairs, tried to use oven again, oven went up in smoke again. SoCalGas Co. came out and RED-tagged the Range-Oven. So far Samsung has blamed us for all the problems. We had to hire an attorney to handle this mess. Samsung has problems with their phones, washing machines, ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators. I wonder whats next?

Ice maker freezes up and will not produce ice and eventually quits working altogether. We purchased the Samsung induction range 4 years ago. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty as weve used it no less than 5 times so far. Weve basically had the entire stove rebuilt as the oven temperature doesnt hold well owing to issues with (1) the fans; (2) the sensors; (3) the motherboard/control panel. Most recently the top of our range cracked as well. This is an incredibly low quality company both in terms of their products and their service. I would NEVER buy another samsung appliance and would caution anyone about buying one if youre seeking to have it last more than 1-2 years. If youre intent on buying one, buy any and all extended warranties available as you will absolutely need them.

We bought this Samsung 4-door French refrigerator ($2200) in July of 2010, so weve had it only about 36 months. Today we noticed everything in the freezer was thawed, but thought maybe we somehow left the freezer drawer ajar. By 4 hours later there was water everywhere and the ice maker leaked into the fridge section. Now weve emptied it completely, trying to salvage some of the frozen meat but lost all other frozen stuff which had gone to melt stage. We now realize it hasnt been coming on at all, so something obviously happened. Hubby pulled it out and didnt notice anything, but after reading all these posts, I think were facing the same thing - which is that new appliances are unreliable poor Quality. My parents had their fridges for 37 years. No exaggerating. What is wrong with this picture?

I purchased a Samsung microwave SMH1611B at the Lowes in Douglasville, Georgia in Sept. 2012, paid $167 (sale) for the beautiful merchandise. I brought it home and in Oct. 2012, the microwave began to make a loud noise. As the timer decreased, the noise became louder. I contacted Lowes. They sent out service people to make the repairs, had to replace the transformer. All worked well until Dec. 2012. The microwave started doing the same thing except the noise wasnt as loud so again, I called Lowes. Appointment was set up and the repair man came again but, this time, after explaining to them that it was doing the same thing, they came without the transformer and had to reschedule and they came back on this past Monday in Jan. 2013 to replace the transformer. Today is Wednesday, January15. Now there is no noise today. Its not heating. Must I say how disappointed I am with this microwave? You have to have 3 service calls and the technicians have to tell you that the microwave is no good for them to give you another microwave. This doesnt make any sense. I should have taken the microwave back and got my money back. I will never purchase another Samsung microwave as long as I live. It is, however, still under warranty being that I just purchased it in Sept. 2012 and its now Jan. 2012.

My new dishwasher does not dry dishes. They are drippy wet and the two different service companies sent to the house both confirm that this model is known for not drying and there’s nothing that can be done to fix it. Funny, the sales person never mentioned this. Do not expect any customer service from the Appliance Factory/Brand Source. They do not return calls and they do not stand behind the products they sell. There were hidden charges upon delivery, which is not free. I can only hope that other consumers do not make my mistake in going with this small guy store. I will stick to the big box stores from now on since they at least offer responsive customer service. The appliances were not cheaper at Brand Source and they lied about actual delivery charges. If you’re satisfied with only having your dishwasher wash your dishes and do not mind drying them yourself, then this WaterWall Samsung Dishwasher is for you. If you expect a call back from the President’s Hotline of The Appliance Factory, you will be disappointed too. And apparently they are not rated by the BBB. BEWARE!!!

I bought this induction range in June 2015. Eight months later the whole stove top ceased to function after three weeks of fighting with Samsung, I finally had a mechanic out to replace a burnt out motor. Meanwhile, the oven temperature kept dropping, and the thermostat did not kick in, making baking a nightmare. The mechanic came yesterday, told me to preheat the oven at least 30 - 45 minutes before starting to bake. I did this today - same problem. This did not happen when the stove was new, so how can it be a design problem? Samsung appliances are attractive but total junk. My son had advised me not to buy Samsung. First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review regarding a item. This just shows how unsatisfied I am with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone. Do not buy any SAMSUNG product. The customer service reps do not offer any customer service. They do not know how to treat customers even after the crap their company has released in the recent years. Lets not forget about the blowing up of the cell phones and laundry machines. My complaint is about their refrigerators and how I have spent over $600 trying to fix the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser freezes up and does not slide out. It seems like the fridge is leaking water and causing the entire tray to freeze. The ice cubes are not in proper ice cube form. The ice cubes look like slushy. I complained to the customer service rep and their answer regarding my complaint was Sorry your item has passed the 1 year warranty for parts. I told the rep there are over 2000 complaints about this ice dispenser on the internet. I previously owned a GE profile refrigerator for over 17 years and never had one issue with it! The customer rep told me they do not go by the complaints on the internet for their products. I asked if they had any other solution and the rep told me once again Sorry the product has passed the one year warranty for the replacement items. If the company cannot offer a solution for their defective products, I will not ever in my life purchase a Samsung product. I will make sure I make this clear to all of my family members and friends. I have had this refrigerator for only a little over 2 years. Samsung teach your service reps how to resolve issues and test your products before releasing them. You shouldnt be telling your customers to fix a problem and have them pay $300 to get it fixed. Even your crappy service reps dont have a solution for your defective products. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will have to go buy a new refrigerator since this issue is not being resolved.

Purchased an appliance package from hhgregg consisting of stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Five months into ownership starting having issues with ice maker on refridge. A&E Factory service responded five times over a year period. Finally confirmed that the refridge was not repairable due to a manufacturer defect in the freezer door frame which was warped and could not seal properly. Spent several months dealing with hhgregg and Samsung Warranty. Samsung finally bought back the refridge at a pro-rated amount. Plus I had to wait five weeks to receive a check from them and do without a fridge because they demanded I cut the electrical cord on the defective one before they would buy it back. Then hhgregg refused to give me a refund on the five year extended warranty for the fridge which I no longer had. Samsung and hhgregg do not stand behind their products or warranties. Months of frustration with a ridiculous repair process. We purchased a Samsung electric range as part of a package of appliances from Lowes for our home in Florida in July of 2016. We soon learned that the temperature in the oven was not being maintained properly. We found out that Lowes would not replace and that we needed to go through Samsung for repairs. We have now have had repair people visit 7 times and have had all electrical components replaced three times. Meantime we do not have an oven that works and have wasted all that time dealing with repair people and service technicians at Samsung that do not have a clue. Hundreds of reviews have been written regarding the same issue with these ovens. I am ready to take part in a class action suit/massive recall effort to force the miserably incompetent people at Samsung (think Galaxy Seven Smart Phone) to take appropriate action. In related items we separately purchased a Samsung TV that randomly failed after just two weeks while no one was in the room. Thankfully, Best Buy (unlike Lowes) took a stand and replaced the unit free of charge. Lastly, a craftsman was working at our house and overheard a conversation that I was having with Samsung one day. He told me that he had been a Samsung repair person for four years and finally quit his position because the processes and information that Samsung uses were so bad he was embarrassed. Im not sure if Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is still the CEO of Samsung, but he should be the most embarrassed of anyone. Under his leadership a once honored company is now an incompetent laughing stock. If any number of components are non-functional, a sheet of ice builds up behind the freezer panel and the fan is unable to spin even if it receives a signal from the PCB (computer board). This horrible sound described by many customers is the fan grinding against the ice as it is trying to spin. There is a defrost temperature sensor that is read by the main computer board. When the temperature in the freezer falls below 18-22 degrees, the PCB picks up the decrease in temperature from the defrost sensor and sends a voltage signal to the bi-metal thermostat, which closes a circuit inside the thermostat (two metal strips) and sends voltage to the heater. The heaters job is to keep the evaporator coils from developing frost and ice buildup. The same thing can happen in the refrigerator section since Samsung designed a twin evaporator system for its refrigerators, one for the freezer section and one for the refrigerator section. Also, there is a timer which is integrated into the PCB that is supposed to keep the thermostat closed for a specified period of time in order for the heater to do its job. Sometimes, the timer on the PCB is faulty and it doesnt maintain the voltage long enough to keep the thermostat in the closed position in order for the heater to defrost the evaporator coils. Unfortunately, the failure of any one of these components can cause a problem resulting in ice build-up and the freezer not working. Samsung has re-engineered or modified its heater and evaporator systems in its refrigerator models several times over. Also, there are complicated voltage readings that should be read from the PCB, and very few, if any, technicians know how to read the PCB or take the time to perform a full diagnostics test. In order to perform a full diagnostics check, the technician has to put the refrigerator in a forced defrost mode which includes both compartments (fridge & freezer). Most technicians do not like to perform this test because it takes time and time is money to an appliance repair business. If you decide to hire a technician, make sure he performs a forced defrost mode test and reads the voltages at the PCB. In order for the tech to read the voltages, he/she has to remove a panel in the back of the refrigerator to access the PCB with his multimeter. Also, the tech should perform a continuity test on the thermal fuse, heater, thermostat, and defrost temp and humidity sensors. If you want to have a better understanding of your Samsung refrigerator, type in Samsung fast track troubleshooting on Google search.Good luck and make sure your technician performs all of the above-mentioned tests. If he refuses, ask him to leave. I know from my own experience, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Also, a class-action lawsuit has been brought in a few states by several law firms that combined their forces against Samsung. You can Google Samsung refrigerator class-action lawsuit. The complaint should be there on one of the pages.

In 2012 my wife and I bought matching Samsung appliances for our kitchen and they were considered top of the line. Within 6 months our ice maker began freezing up, then within a year quit working altogether. Samsung couldnt find anyone in the area to fix it and said they would contact us when they did. Never heard back. Within 18 months it started making horrible noises. Found out frost was building up in the back and we would have to defrost, otherwise the fan would burn out. So every six months we did defrosting of our frost free fridge. Now 6 years in it has died and the repair shops said it wasnt worth fixing. My dishwasher died within 3 years, the microwave about the same time and the stove went out twice before I replaced it a year ago. Take the advice. Do not buy Samsung kitchen appliances.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

Ice dispenser went crazy and was dispensing ice inadvertently into the kitc
Ice dispenser went crazy and was dispensing ice inadvertently into the kitchen floor. 542 dollars later, new front panel with control board, now will not make ice. A&E/Sears made an effort to repair and 3 days later, still no ice. Repair tech said there is a service bulletin if my unit was made 2 months earlier, but parts are still over 500 dollars. To schedule a Tech, usually takes another 2-3 weeks also. Junk is a conservative adjective for this refrigerator. I have read many reviews of consumers with the same problems. I think it is time for a class action law suit against the manufacturer.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years ago. I didnt have terrible problems with it until now. However, the freezer & ice making were never totally acceptable. Now, the fan is making a very loud noise every time the fan comes on. The repairmen Ive spoken to universally say that Im lucky that the refrigerator has lasted this long. One said, he wouldnt take a free Samsung if it were offered to him. In order for him to repair the fan, I have to empty and turn off my unit for at least 36 hours otherwise he would be unable to remove the shroud around the fan. He knew exactly what was wrong with my unit as soon as I told him about the whirring fan. Needless to say, I am telling everyone I know NOT to buy a Samsung refrigerator, or any other type of appliance.

I bought model RF217ACPN./XAA (freezer drawer on bottom, french door refrig on top) and it died in less than a year.... Drawers filled with water and starts making this horrible sound non-stop. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! I urge you to never give up and fight for what is right... People shouldnt lose their hard earned money on a product that doesnt work!

Purchased this Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS in February 2015, several problems occurred during the first year. Three repair visits to the house toward the end of the first year of the warranty. Soap dispenser would not open, etc. Circuit board replaced. Samsung refused to replace this lemon. Now as we come to the end of the second year, problems once again. Error code for leakage. There is no leak, and dishwasher will not operate. It just continues to run the pump. Samsung will no longer fix, claiming it is now out of warranty. The dishwasher lasted less than two years. Unfortunately I used my Lowes credit card, I understand if I would have used VISA, MASTERCARD, etc. they may have automatically covered up to an additional year. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher! This dishwasher is unreliable and Samsung customer service does not stand behind this product.

I got a Samsung range and it does not go against the wall. It has to sit 3 inches away from the wall because of how the gas valve is high. Messaged Samsung asking them if they could help because it is a hazard in my kitchen for the free back splash kit they offered by sending in your receipt of purchase which I did but because I did not buy it from a store and bought it from a review group they kept declining it over and over. They have the worst customer service. It was a waste of money. They did not care to help at all to solve my problem. After leaving, it does the exact same thing. Called customer service again and Iesha who apparently was having a lousy day based on her attitude, rescheduled service in another week. Avoid this company! The model number is: RF23J9011SR/AA. Run far away! Weve owned the refrigerator over a year and never has it dispensed ice. The only way to get any is remove the whole ice device and chip it out. Great on the marriage!

I have on-going problems with the ice maker. I had a switch go out on the compressor and have had it lose cooling in the freezer, model #RS2555SL. I have ordered and installed two brand new ice makers and both of them. I immediately turned the ice cube tray (unfilled) until it twisted and then never returned to the fill position. I contacted Justanswers.com and they told me this is a very common problem and that I should keep returning it until I get one that works. Is this the state of how products are made these days? Inferior quality and inferior service. This consumer will never buy another product with the Samsung name on it and will warn everyone I know of the inferior quality and service on these products.

Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature
Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature, put chicken in to cook for dinner. About 10 minutes later, we heard a loud pop and smoke began to pour out of the back of the control panel. Then flames appeared. We turned off the house circuit breaker and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The oven door locked as though it was on self-cleaning mode. We waited until the appliance had completely cooled and removed the back of it to see where the fire had occurred. It was clearly a short in the wiring that caused the fire.If we had not been close by to hear and see the fire as it started, it could have easily spread. As it was, the house was filled with acrid smoke, and 3 days later, there is a lingering bad odour from the fire. All we lost was about $40 worth of chicken and the stove itself - we had to pry the oven door open to remove the uncooked meat, because we were afraid to plug the stove back in to see if the door would release on its own. We have three children, one of whom is a 7 month old baby, and my senior citizen parents were visiting - we are lucky that no one was injured, and that the kitchen and the rest of the house suffered no real damage. All of us have breathing problems due to asthma and allergies, and we all had headaches, sore throats, and irritated sinuses from the smoke. We are extremely upset at the dangerous situation that occurred. It was clearly the result of shoddy design and a cheaply constructed product. My husband paid $1400 for this stove five years ago when he was living alone. He barely used the appliance until September 2012 when I moved in with my two children. Since then, we have used it every day for typical cooking. We should be able to expect a stove to endure regular use for more than 3 years without any issue, especially given the initial price paid. We should be able to expect a certain standard of safety, where a household appliance should not light on fire without warning, putting life and property at risk.Since January this year, the two front elements on the stove top have malfunctioned. It is not possible to control the temperature setting on these elements - they are either off or on high. This is likely attributable to a short circuit in the wiring as well (one that did not result in a fire) since the problem occurred suddenly. In retrospect, the malfunctioning elements were clearly a sign that the appliance was dangerously flawed. We have emailed Samsung to request compensation for the loss of our appliance, and for the fact that it caused a fire that endangered our family and our home. We would like Samsung to take responsibility for funding a replacement appliance, since it is obviously the fault of the design and construction of this stove that it malfunctioned, in the amount of $1400. We will not accept a repair, since the appliance is now unusable, nor will we accept a replacement Samsung stove, since we could never trust it. We would like Samsung to be held accountable for the shoddy household range it produced.I have reported the incident to the Canadian Standards Association to complain about their alleged inspection and endorsement of this inferior and dangerous product, but according to the website, they will not publicly report on any findings if they investigate my claim because of confidentiality concerns. I interpret that to mean that they are protecting manufacturers rather than consumers. In the past, we have also owned a Samsung dryer, which we replaced in January 2015 due to a similar break-down. The dryer stopped heating up after only 3 years of regular use - we assumed it was due to the element burning out, but did not investigate further.

Purchased all new Samsung appliances for our kitchen. The Refrigerator failed within a less than a year. The dishwasher failed within a year and now has failed again. The response and service is very poor - that is saying kindly. I will not purchase another Samsung product ever again in my lifetime and will be telling as many other people to do the same. Canada should not allow any company to sell products to consumers in Canada who are not willing to have an office within Canada to assist those consumers. Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. Never again.

This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! Within 15 min., I got a call from a Samsung rep who assured me she would take care of the problem and gave me another delivery date but when that date came, the Samsung rep had not communicated her conversation with Home Depot or the delivery company. I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

We purchased a refrigerator from Samsung in late June at Lowes. From the moment it was set up, its ice bin and chute have frosted over. I called and Samsung sent us new parts after refusing to set up a service call even though I told them the ice maker was not the problem. After the new ice maker didnt fix the problem, I called again. A service call was set up and we needed a new trap door for the ice maker/water dispenser. That took two service calls and three weeks. Now, the water dispenser leaks out of the area behind the ice maker dispenser and the lights on the display panel are starting to not work.We got a phone call last week from Samsung to ask us how the service call went. I told the person on the phone it still wasnt fixed and she replied that we could exchange or return the fridge. She said Samsung would call Lowes and get it taken care of and we would hear from Lowes in 2-3 business days. I waited several days and didnt hear anything. So I called Lowes, who has not heard from Samsung. So I called Samsung only to be told that the fridge could not be returned or exchanged and we would have to have another service call. This is ridiculous. The fridge is breaking, one thing after another, and I cannot get anyone to help us return it.

On May 12, 2016 my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (model RSG257AAWP) that I purchased on April 14, 2012 stopped cooling. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to work with Samsung to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. It is now May 23, 2016 and I am still calling Samsung trying to find resolution. I was assigned to a repair service (Home Service Network) on May 14th. On May 16th they informed me that they dont have any technicians that could work on my refrigerator. I called Samsung back and my ticket was reassigned to another repair service (Priceless Appliance Services). I was told that companies are to respond in 1-2 business days. I waited. Nothing! I called Samsung again. My ticket was reassigned again (Mr. Appliance of Central Maryland) and again I did not receive a call from this service repair company. When I called Samsung once more, today May 23rd, my ticket is showing that its assigned to Priceless and not even the last company that I was given so it appears that my ticket was not even reassigned. Now Im starting to think that the Samsung warranty policy is a sham. If they refer a customers ticket to enough non-responsive repair companies, at some point, especially with such an essential appliance as a refrigerator, the customer will become totally frustrated and seek to resolve the issue with a non Samsung repair service. This deems your appliance out of warranty even if you only have someone diagnose but not fix the product that you have so desperately tried to seek help for from Samsung. BE AWARE! BE CAUTIOUS! Its probably best to NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances. In the future, I will only purchase appliances made in the USA.

So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

My husband and I purchased this Samsung clunker in 2011. It is bottom freez
My husband and I purchased this Samsung clunker in 2011. It is bottom freezer type as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and could no longer manage bending to reach contents. About four months ago, I noticed that the milk was not cold enough to suit me and thus began our ordeal. I can cut out a lot of detail, as it is so very similar to all the other cases, but it concerns the freezing up of the motor and fan in the back. This does not affect the freezer, in our case. The end result so far, (we have another part and new repair company coming in three days), is, after many repair calls, the thing sounds like a B29, but does nothing. I believe, with all my heart, that nothing will come of the new part, and we will be back in the same mess within a few weeks. The ringerreally was something that happened early on. I found a guy on YouTube who made a video showing how to take off the back and defrost the darn thing with a hair dryer! I dont understand, though I know nothing about how to proceed with this myself, why this problem is not cause for a class action lawsuit. Samsung seems to be getting away with murder.
