I purchased Samsung 237 French door ref. The shelves are not spaced properly to accept milk or juice containers - the items must be tipped and forced into the shelf space. The shelves are made of an extremely brittle plastic and are subject to cracking. I have had to replace two-hinged shelves due to shattered plastic hinges even though they were never moved from the horizontal position. The crisper drawer is full width and can only be operated when both refrigerator doors are in full open position. I contacted manufacturer within warranty period and one-hinged shelf was replaced with the caveat that this was a one-time honor of the warranty and it would not be repeated. Now another shelf has multiple breaks in the plastic due to its brittleness, and we have a poor quality appliance that is out of warranty. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator unless you have a very high tolerance for aggravation.

Bought July 2016. Now 3 1/2 years old. Called because freezer was not freezing while refrigerator still worked. Day before tech came found ice on inside wall of refrigerator. Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they wont warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working. My house has copper tubing plumbing. I havent had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.

Not sure which model I have as the user manual is for all three, but after reading the reviews I guess it doesnt matter much. We bought the dishwasher, along with a suite of Samsung appliances, refrigerator (one service call that took over a month and three visits to fix), microwave, stove and the wall of water dishwasher slightly more than a year ago. Well I know why they call it a wall of water, as that is what you will find on your floor! Weve had two service calls at a cost of $160 on the dishwasher and now, based on the horrendous number of reviews and stories have decided that putting more money in it is foolish. The Samsung dishwasher is the most expensive dishwasher weve ever owned and proves that old saying you get what you pay for is dead wrong.

We purchased our Samsung rs261mds refrigerator a few years ago. Since then the cooling fan has gone out several times, and I have to defrost the freezer to keep it working. The 3rd time samsung sent someone out, I was not told what was wrong, then I was told that samsung was not paying for the repair after it was completed (They had extended my warranty once because of the fan going out a 2nd time) and that if I did not pay my bill I would be blackballed and no one would ever fix my fridge. Then if that wasnt enough, the repairman came to my house the next day and told my son he left steamer at my house. When my son went to look the repairman walked in and began going through my cabinets. At that point my son made him leave. I called samsung and spoke to someone in their executive resolutions department who apologized. Said they would be paying for the repair and that a supervisor from the repair place would call to make an appointment to come out to thoroughly my fridge. When my fridge stopped working 1 month later, I was told they would send someone out at my expense! Now my fridge has stopped working. I lost all my food. I am disabled and not working and my husband lost his job 4 months ago. Thanks to samsung and their crappy products and service, we will be keeping things cold in coolers until we can buy ANY brand of refrigerator other than samsung!

Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge wont cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good
Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge wont cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good looking fridge. We had a $300 fridge for 16 years that kept our food and beverages cold without a single problem, so I did not think it possible for a refrigerator to not do the very things it exists to do. But Samsung cracked that nut. Ice maker immediately made ice dam at back of drawer and froze the ice bucket in place. 5+ service calls on a brand-new fridge, never got it working. Tech said we could keep trying but it was a design flaw. Used cardboard and duct tape to seal it off. After almost 2 years fridge stopped cooling. Warm beer and spoiling milk and food. Temp on the door reads 34 degrees. Bought thermometer, steady 50 degrees. Tried all the fixes I could find online, no effect. Service call, cleaned compressor area. No effect. Read reviews: sounds like its a problem with coolant leak of the R600 coolant (2 different kinds of coolant for the 2 fridge compressors) which isnt sold in the US and is highly flammable, and will leak out again even if I replace it with the other coolant called R134A. Finding and fixing the leak means tearing out the guts.Fridge is so new and so expensive Im tempted to try to fix it. But I reviewed many posts -- it would be good money after bad. Looking for a free fridge on Craigslist. Consumer Reports highly recommended this fridge when I bought it. But it is a complete POS. Dont buy a Samsung anything. Their fridges dont refrigerate and their phones explode.

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

Hi I am from chennai, India. I bought Samsung side by side fridge from Samsung store here. The model is RH77J90407H. From day one I have been facing issues and now I have to deal it legally. Please do not buy from Samsung stores. Visit the store for the features and benefits of various products, but buy from other Samsung dealers who also deal many brands. Samsung store people are hopeless after sales. Dealers other than Samsung stores put customer satisfaction first and help you in getting the refund or replacement. Within one year Samsung technicians have changed water dispenser unit, compressor, PCB board and main mother board in my fridge. Beauty is my noise problem is not solved but is more now. As a bonus four of fridge trays have broken during the problem solving process by technicians.

I remodeled my entire kitchen and wanted the best appliances. Samsung came highly recommended at the time. I purchased the stainless steel refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. I purchased an additional warranty on everything except the microwave because I have had cheap microwaves in the past that last more than 15 years. Who would have known, 16 months later, the microwave would be the first to give me problems. I started receiving this error code SE and the manual states to unplug it and plug it back in. Well, I tried that several times and it did not resolve the issue. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that a service repair person would need to come out. Never once told I would have to pay for someone to come out and check it. When I received my call back, I was told there is a $90+ charge just for someone to come out and if parts are needed, I would have to pay for the parts and repair. I am so frustrated right now for a microwave, not just any microwave but a Samsung microwave to break down after just 16 months. Well, when I asked approximately how much would it cost to repair the microwave, I was told it depends on if they had to order a part and if so, what part. I am sure that this is not the first time anyone received this error code and surely someone from Samsung (the maker) can tell me what the problem is and approximate cost, right? I feel it is very unfair to pay and have someone come out to tell you that it will cost hundreds to repair, potentially paying more than I paid for the microwave. All I want to know is for other repairs related to this error code, what is the approximate cost and I will never refer anyone to purchase a Samsung appliance.

About one year after I purchased my Samsung dishwasher (DMT800RHS), we began getting error messages and problems with dishes. We had a Samsung authorized tech come out at $250 expense to ourselves and he found a bunch of plastic pieces the color of the racks in the pump impeller. Nearly 6 months later, we had the same issue and had a local tech come out. For another $75, he retrieved the same rack colored pieces of plastic out of the pump. Tonight, we had a third tech come out and retrieve more rack pieces out of the pump. I have attached photos of the rack adjuster, where every plastic attachment is broken on both sides. These have broken during operation. I hope this review helps someone choose carefully when purchasing a dishwasher, and avoid the headache that we have been dealing with.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013 from Best Buy. 7 months after purchase the crisper drawers began filling up with several inches of water. We called for service and were told not to put food close to the back wall of the refrigerator. We complied (although that certainly reduced the interior space to less than what we thought we were purchasing). Within a few more months, the problem occurred again with water pooling underneath the crisper drawers and inside the left crisper. A second call went out. We expressed concern that this was a recurring problem and our one-year manufacturers warranty was up in November 2014. A Samsung representative suggested we purchase the extended warranty to cover future repairs on the defective refrigerator that Samsung sold us! Today we emptied 10 cups of water from underneath the crisper drawers. I have had it. I will never, ever, ever purchase ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung. The only thing worse than the quality of this refrigerator is the lack of any effective service. My next stop is small claims court unless they take this piece of junk back and return my money!!!!

Never ever buy a Samsung appliance. Had a Samsung oven and the water was boiling and then the oven top turned off and I went to turn the burner on again and sparks and arcing and loud booms and then smoke. It had burned the wires in the back almost clear through to the oven. Samsung repair came out and sent pictures and documentation to Samsung. They continually claim they havent received them. Then another says they have and it is only cosmetic damage. It is over 3 weeks of trying to deal with them. Never, never buy Samsung.

I cant remember how many times we have had the repairman out for this worthless machine. For a variety of problems including broken clips which found their way into the motor area and water intake problems. One of the wheels on the bottom rack frequently comes off. Yesterday, the machine stopped working again, this time with no error message. It starts by draining (okay), then starts water inflow (okay) and then does nothing as the clock counts down. I now agree with my husband that it is not worth fixing AGAIN and time to buy a decent dishwasher. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ... ever. If I could, Id rate this product a minus 3 stars.

Purchased a stove and refrigerator in June. Have already had 5 service calls on the fridge due to an error code that keeps popping up. Last week I used the self cleaning feature on the stove. Once it ran through the cycle I noticed the control panel was not working and the stainless was brown. Called Samsung Galaxy who put me in touch with service quick. After I called and left a message and waited 2 days. Another week for the appointment. The service tech never called to confirm and I waited all day. He arrived and change gedanken out a part but the cosmetic damage was not repaired. He had to call Samsung to get approval. Now he has to come back for another service call. We purchased this Samsung Dishwasher in May of 2013 mainly to replace our 15 year old Whirlpool contractors grade dishwasher, even though, it still cleaned my dishes with no problems. It was a breeze to load and the dishes still sparkled after 16 years of use. We were planning a kitchen renovation within the next several months, so we decided to start with the replacement of the ugly, old, but still effective Whirlpool. We went with Samsung because of its reputation as an electronics top brand. Our whole family had Samsung smart phones and TVs and had no complaints. Apparently that is where Samsung should concentrate their efforts. This dishwasher has NEVER properly cleaned our dishware. After 2 + years, Ive yet to find a sensible pattern to place the dishware for cleaning. My Whirlpool was so easy to load. This one is ridiculous. Even following the manufacturers guidelines, the dishes still do not get clean. I will say however, that it is QUIET! You can barely hear it running. I guess it doesnt need to make a lot of noise if its not doing anything productive. I am so disappointed in this $800 purchase. The stainless steel does, or did, look nice when we first got it. Very soon after, the stainless steel became stained, even though I carefully followed manufacturers instructions on cleaning the surface. Shortly after the 1st anniversary of purchase, while wiping down the front of the dishwasher one morning, the entire SAMSUNG lettering came off on my dishcloth. So now, we dont have to be embarrassed that we have a Samsung kitchen appliance. This purchase has not been in vain however, because we now make sure to always read reviews first before making any purchases of large ticket items. BTW, love our LG washer & dryer, still perfect after 8 yrs of use! Really glad we didnt purchase the Samsung refrigerator, we were so sure we wanted. But thats another story!

Re: Samsung Double door fridge Model # BS22HDHPNSR/AA Serial 067143AF301211J bought in 2015. This fridge constantly gave us problems and totally stopped working 4 times with total loss of frozen food and perishable items. When Samsung customer service was called they suggested pressing some buttons and tell them if we heard a whirring noise! We did that and it worked on 3 occasions! In December 2017 it happened again and when called they said it was out of Warranty and we should not call them again! We went to Lowes to buy a new fridge and the appliance guy told us that the sealed unit including the compressor in our Samsung Fridge has a Five year warranty. On calling Samsung they now agreed that the sealed unit and compressor indeed had a warranty for 5 years and directed us to contact their service center Lakes Electronics, 2101 W. Atlantic Blvd #108, Pompano Beach, FL. 33069.They sent their technician on 11/10/2017 who confirmed that the compressor is locked (Error 84E) and charged us $99.00 for his visit. He asked us for the original receipt which We could not provide as a lot of paperwork was damaged and lost in the Hurricane! We contacted the Manager at Lakes Electronics who confirmed that without the receipt they cannot repair though the compressor and sealed unit was still under a 5 year warranty as Samsung had not paid them for work done without a receipt in the past! We then contacted Samsung and after much cajoling We were given a one time parts and labor ticket valid for one week only. A repair was scheduled but as the compressor did not arrive on time, the ticket was cancelled. After the holidays We were asked to call Samsung again for a new ticket valid for 7 days and a repair was scheduled, but cancelled again as compressor had not arrived. Finally, when the compressor had arrived a repair was performed in our home on 01/25/2018. We were made to sign a work completed sheet by the technician who said that you should start using it from next morning! Lo and Behold, come Morning and both the Freezer and the Refrigerator compartments showed a higher than room temperature!!! We contacted Lakes Electronics and were told that as We had signed the work completed sheet they cannot come back to check unless We get a new Ticket from Samsung. This time Samsung customer representative told us that our unit was not under warranty anymore. When asked to be directed to her Senior who reluctantly agreed to talk to us. We requested that Samsung should do any one of the following: 1) Arrange for their service center to pick it up and do a complete and Satisfactory repair before returning it to us. 2) Give us a replacement for their defective item. 3) Arrange a refund. Neither of the above options were accepted but a New one week one time repair ticket was issued and the technician again came on 01/29/2017. He confirmed in his notes that both sides were not cooling and the compressor was making a loud noise. He asked for advice from Samsung tech department if a replacement should be done but this was summarily rejected and he was asked to change the Condenser and purge all the gas (?Freon) and flush it with Nitrogen. As he did not have either Nitrogen or a replacement condenser a new appointment was scheduled for 02/01/2018. A Nitrogen flush was performed and We were shown that it was working to his satisfaction and that We ought to sign the work completed form again. We refused to sign and asked him to wait for 24 hours before signing the work completed form. After 2 days i.e today the fridge is dead again and all the frozen food including expensive Salmon Lox purchased over the weekend is rotting! WE HAVE INCURRED A LOSS OF AT LEAST $4000 IN DAMAGED AND LOST PERISHABLE ITEMS, long hours waiting for proper if never a prompt response! Marital discord as the wife wanted me to dump the Samsung fridge and all the other Samsung products in the house and replace them with preferably American made products!

For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.

We bought a Samsung suite of appliances: stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Within the first week or so, there was a burn mark on the door frame on the microwave. We tried to clean it, but it was definitely a burn mark. After a day or so, we noticed the mark getting larger, so we called Lowes, who directed us to Samsung. Samsung took about two weeks, and after many emails and photos sent in to them, they finally sent out a repair tech to look at the issue. The tech also took photos, and stated that the door frame was out of alignment and not flush, and that he could only see this mark growing. He advised not to use the microwave due to stray waves escaping, which were causing the burning on the door frame. We then had to contact customer service repeatedly to obtain a replacement product. Many more calls to coordinate with Lowes, and finally, we went to pick up our unit and found out that what Samsung told us and what Lowes wanted were two different things. Samsung did not send in the right paperwork, so Lowes would not release the replacement unit to us even though we had uninstalled the first one and brought it with us to the Lowes store. Back into the car it went, and more calls and emails.During this series of emails, the Samsung customer service person offered to pay us up to $150 for installation and re-installation of the unit. We followed her directions, and we went to pick up the replacement unit again from Lowes. This time, the exchange went fine. We mailed in the invoices for the uninstall and the re-install, as per instructions. Then the waiting and the follow-up emails started. No reply from any of them. We sent in regular emails over a long period of time. I like the Samsung refrigerator. They can keep the dishwasher, and the stove is just okay. The microwave seems fine now. After this entire experience, I would not recommend any Samsung products to anyone we know, unless they can service them themselves.

Purchase Date 3/17/16. The Ice Maker (RF23HC) started freezing over about 1 year after we purchased. We started using a blow dryer to melt the huge chunks of ice. Now the entire back panel of the refrigerator freezes over and water pools in the bins. Clearly Samsung has known about this issue for years but still continues to sell the faulty refrigerators. BUT now need to use a blowdryer to warm up the vents in the back of the refrigerator so it doesnt sound like a jet engine!! I spend more time caring for my refrigerator than it takes me to clean my entire house! Repairman tells me to not bother him as he cant help. The sad irony...our old refrigerator was great except the ice maker didnt work!! Kitchenaid, why did I ever leave you!?!?

The ice maker is poorly engineered as it stopped working within 3 years. (Froze up and jammed). We had a refrigerator repairman from a local reputable appliance store come to our home. It was $400 to replace the ice maker plus labor; we didn’t do it because the repairman said there was no guarantee the new one would work for long. Next the alcove where the drinking water station is located was not lined with stainless steel, so we have rust stains on the front of our white refrigerator!! Lastly, after calling Samsung customer service several times, they just said, “Sorry. Your warranty is up.” The refrigerator was $2,300.

On Feb.16, 2009, we purchased a 30 Samsung electric stove AND a 5 year warranty. Almost immediately, we knew we had a problem. We spent the entire 5 years of warranty, having repairmen from A & E Factory Service (Sears) come put bandaids on this very expensive stove ($1508 without the warranty cost). When the extended warranty ran out in February of 2014 the stove had all the same problems it had as a new stove. Since then, I always set the temperature too high (because it never reaches the temperature I set it at). I bought a good oven thermometer to put in the oven which I watch by shining a flashlight through the glass in the oven door, adjusting the temperature throughout the baking period. You see, I cant trust the oven to go to the temperature I need. The beeper that is supposed to tell you when the oven is hot enough to bake your food beeps when the oven is at least 100 degrees lower than I have set it for. This oven has ruined so many things I have tried to bake, including a ham that I served partly raw without realizing it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!! I seriously cringe when I see full page ads for Samsung appliances. I will NEVER buy another one. But think of all those poor people who WILL! (We purchased the stove from a store in Loveland Colorado called Ji and Daves Appliance, Inc. which is no longer in business).

I purchased a French door refrigerator on August 2012 with model # RF217ACPN. Two months after I got the fridge, it started to make noise like popping and snapping, crackling and buzzing. I went to Best Buy and complained about it but they said that it was just normal. In 2014, my crisper started to collect water. I have to drain the water in the crisper every week. I Was wondering where that water came from. My fridge doesnt have any water hook up (for an ice maker or a water dispenser). Now, I got another problem. My freezer builds up ice!!! I am really disappointed that this expensive fridge doesnt work well. Not worth the money that I spent on this bad product!!!

I bought this refrigerator three years ago and it takes $400 to fix it. Shame on Samsung. NEVER buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and less than USELESS. I need a freezer department handles for RF263AFRS Fridge manufactured NOV 2010, handles have grey plastic parts that go inside the fridge and hold handle by screws. Handle is not broken, it just cannot hold to the fridge anymore because of the broken parts on both ends. I spent 3 months looking for these parts. Called Samsung and the phone #s given by them, no one has these grey plastic parts. Wrote Samsung customer care email asking for help. They got back to me with template saying I should call their customer service (I know the phone # by heart already!). Its been a few months now the fridge is broken. I have difficulty accessing the freezer because of it. The part I am looking for the freezer handle is actually a part of the whole freezer door and to make things a little worse, that freezer door is no longer available. Same fridge broke on month 13th, after 12 month warranty. It was making ice on the back of the fridge. Part was $170 and $150 was the labor. I am very dissatisfied with the product. It was expensive fridge and I was hoping to be able to use it for a while. Now, people from Samsung, how to find these broken parts. Please help!

Lets starts with the nice sturdy looking knobs. The inside is a piece of plastic that breaks within a month. The NX58H5600SS convection oven is worse than a normal oven and takes longer to cook food. 4 short months after the warranty was up, it starts randomly beeping and giving me a -SE- on the screen. Wont even show the time. None of the buttons work even after all the troubleshooting. Troubleshooting for this code is just push off button. Ok well the buttons dont work. So unplug for 30 seconds. Now that thats done it is still displaying the -SE-. Thanks Samsung as a service call will cost at least 300 to come fix it according to other reviews. What a piece of crap this oven is. Will never buy Samsung anything again. Not like they even care! My tv, all my phones, washers, dryers, nothing ever again! And the service call person sounded like she couldnt give 2 craps seeing as how she told me it was her Friday. Wasnt even concerned that I just spent $900 on a stove that ** the bed 16 months later!!! Bad Samsung! BAD!

I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Samsung items in my home. TV, Washer and Dryer and French Door Refrigerator with freezer on the bottom. We have hard water in my home and wonder if this could be the issue. Almost one year from our delivery of our brand new refrigerator from HOME DEPOT, the ice maker stopped making ice. When we investigated further, we noticed that ice wasnt dropping and there was frost and freeze everywhere. We began the regular ritual of using my hairdryer to defrost the ice maker. I called Samsung. Our unit was out of warranty for 3 days. They would not make accommodations and would not bend, even a bit. Nope. Nothing. I was livid. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not alive and well in SAMSUNG. They flip the consumer off with a hand gesture and send you on your way, after all, they already have my money. NO SAMSUNG IN MY HOUSE, ever again. I will pay more for something else. Im so happy to see the debacle unfolding with their line of tablets, phones, etc... Sorry for the consumer, dont get me wrong. I hate that company.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

I purchased and installed this Samsung SMH9187st Over-the-Range Microwave Oven in May 2010. It operated with no problems until May of 2014 when, after a short period of use, the oven would lose all power - as if the plug had been pulled. Power would restore itself after several minutes, or sometimes several hours. This continued intermittently for a couple of weeks until I had a chance to investigate further.I disassembled the microwave. (Plastic parts in this oven are very thin and cheaply made. Although I was going slowly and carefully, I cracked the top grill in several places when removing it and had to glue it back together.) With the control panel removed, I observed two thermal cut-off switches on the bottom of the unit. One of them had what appeared to be burn marks on the plastic wire insulator. I started the microwave (with the control panel moved to the side but still connected) and noted that shortly after the timer finished and the oven shut down normally, a small spark occurred at the location of the burned insulator, and all power to the oven was lost. Additional sparks were seen at 10 to 30 second intervals until I unplugged the unit. Upon disconnecting the wire where the spark was occurring I noticed that it had been improperly installed. The metal connector at the end of the wire (inside of the plastic insulator) had not been clipped onto the metal lug of the thermal cut-off switch. Instead, it had been wedged between the wire connector and the plastic insulator, resulting in a poor electrical connection, arcing and overheating. I reattached the wire connector to the metal lug of the thermal switch, firmly pushing it into place so it was attached just like the other wire connection on the switch (see attached picture). That seemed to fix the problem. The bad connection must have occurred at the factory since the oven had never been repaired or disassembled since I originally purchased and installed it. After four years the plastic insulator deformed and melted enough so that the already weak electrical connection overheated enough to trip the thermal cut-off.I checked other connectors in the oven and found a couple of others with the same problem, so I fixed those as well. So, here it is two years later and the microwave has stopped working again. I opened it up and quickly saw that yet another wire has completely burned through and is hanging loose. Its going in the trash. I cant risk having this appliance burn down my house.

I have since learned code 5 E means the keyboard on the microwave has quit due to condensation in the wiring of the microwave. Failures consisted of total freeze up of system ice dispensing unit, water leaks out of ice holding tray down front of refrigerator. After making numerous calls and chats to Samsung and multiple defrost actions, Samsung sent out a repair person to replace ice maker. Today I contacted Samsung and communicated that service repair didnt resolve the issues of total freeze up and water leaks from ice machine. So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. We purchased the Samsung 24CF counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator in December of 2013 from Pacific Sales in Chatsworth, CA. The unit cost $3149 before tax and we paid an additional $350 for an extended 5 year warranty. Within 6 months, several of the side shelves, which theyd demonstrated as being intended to hold gallons of milk, had cracked or were broken to the point they hung of the door. This was true even of the shelves we used only to hold condiments and smaller, lighter items. Within 13 months, every single door shelf was cracked or broken and the plastic surrounds on the main shelves had cracked as well. The warranty company said the shelves were not covered and Samsungs customer service department said they could not do anything as it was over 12 months since purchase. All they would do was provide me with a number to call so that I could pay for the new interior shelves myself. Given the price of this refrigerator, the quality is really inferior. My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

Sumsungs excellent customer service is a customer’s nightmare. Here is our experience: 2 days before X-Mas 2014 our 3 month old fridge model RS22HDHPNSR stopped cooling properly 2 days later it stopped all together but the temperature readout did not indicate a problem and remained at the normal settings. 12-24-14 called Samsung customer service gave all of our info: Name address, phone #, e-mail address. Was instructed to reset thermostat, called back after a few hours to inform Samsung that unit was still not cooling. Advised that a repair service would come in 1 to 2 days to take care of problem. 12-27-14 After several hours working on our fridge repairman told us that the unit suffered a major failure and parts would need to be ordered. We contacted Samsung same day again had to repeat all of our personal info and we now requested a replacement for our 3 month old unit. Thats when the nightmare really began. We did not hear from Samsung and had to call daily for updates. Each time we received a new ticket # and were told our request was in review. On 1-2-2015 we were informed that our request for replacement was denied because replacement parts were in. On 1-7-2015 After 2 repairmen hammered and soldered for 3 hours on our fridge in the kitchen they could not fix it needed more parts. Again we called Samsung requesting a replacement and again never received any updates. On 1-9-2015 finally got through to a supervisor who than told us after speaking with another supervisor that our request for replacement had been denied a second time, because the additional parts are in. On 1-13-2015 after 3 more hours working and banging our fridge it was working. After a 3 week long ordeal of no refrigerator/freezer, uncounted hours spent on use less phone calls speaking to a total of 36 Samsung employees we have a rebuilt Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Excellence Customer Service??? You decide.

My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired. I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being looked into as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand. Its possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So dont expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.

When we moved from a townhouse to a condo we purchased all new appliances, one of which was a Samsung induction range. The range was delivered in August 2016 and we finally had it removed in December 2016. Over that time we had to have three on site repair visits and would have had to have a fourth if the unit had not been removed. The stove top worked fine until one day we heard a loud pop and a fuse blew. Two of the burners had to be replaced. The oven was a disaster. It did not work more often than it actually worked. Most often what would happen is that we would put something in the oven and then the control panel at the front of the stove would stop working. No amount of touching of buttons would make the thing work.We ended up throwing out more food than we actually were able to cook. Samsung service is terrible. They insist on starting any conversation with a web chat. Then you need to call an 800 number to get a repair scheduled. Then you need to work with the repair company. Everyone points fingers at everyone else. Finally we had to get the store that we purchased the unit from to work with the Samsung rep who finally agreed to replace the unit (with another brand). I would not recommend a Samsung range.

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator based on the twin cooling system. I love the French door style but the paint peeled off one of the handles within the first 90 days. I contacted Samsung and they told me it was a maintenance issue and it was my problem. They referred me to a parts supplier and I was prepared to buy a new handle (I had no choice) but none were available. They were to contact me when they had one. Now they are discontinued and I cant find one anywhere. I spent over $1,000.00 on a refrigerator that looks TERRIBLE.

I called Samsung, and they told me that the warranty does not cover cosmetic issues. My Samsung dishwasher went out and I had to replace it And my top loading Samsung washing machine went out. This is all taking place in the past two weeks and these appliances are less than three years old. To make matters worse my 55 inch plasma Samsung TV went out last night. Samsung needs to make appliances that will last you longer than three years. This is an absolute shame that you can sell your appliances to people and within three years they break down. Samsung needs to stand behind their products and make better products. I will NEVER recommend a Samsung again or buy another one of their products.

My daughter turned on the stove. She then heard a buzzing, a pop, and saw smoke. I told her to turn it off and attempt to unplug it. My husband came home to unplug it and left it as it. I saw a white powder covering the internal glass, tiny pieces of glass on the bottom. The house was filled with a smoky (didnt smell like burning though). All the windows were opened to clear it. I started an online chat with Samsung. They told me to unplug it and wait for their people to come. That was 4 days ago. I have since had 2 chats and 2 phone calls with Samsung. I bought a Samsung stove - cost over $1000 for dual ovens (when the slide in partition is used). It has always been ridiculously slow to reach cooking temperature - I have long since given up and just throw the food in and hope for the best. Its usually about 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. The real problem started when I was broiling toast - happily I was watching it so when the back of stove caught fire I was there to shut everything down and hit the breaker. A huge circuit board caught fire and melted and destroyed all the wiring too. I waited weeks for a technician who charged me $260 (through Samsungs site) and it worked again, but constantly makes clicking noises. The tech said this was normal!!! (It was clicking while he there.) I guess he thinks Im stupid! Now the convection fan comes on without turning on the convection side and keeps running with the door is open. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Good chance that my house would burned. SHAME ON SAMSUNG. Theyve ignored the fire issue for years.

Well, here are my 2 cents worth - we also had our almost 2-year-old Samsung microwave SMH9187B start turning on by itself (baked potato feature). This has got to be a safety issue! Then, more and more, we got the SE showing up on the display. My husband managed to fix it a few times by taking the control panel apart and trying to protect it from what he figured was happening - oxidization of contacts whenever steam from the oven/ stove below got into it or maybe even if it got quite steamy inside the microwave. Now its definitely dead, though, and when he spent an hour on the phone to Samsung, they acted as if it was a problem theyd never heard of before and refused to do anything about it. I cant believe theyd ignore so many people with the same defective microwave.

Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. I have included my own photos of the plastic shaving and plastic/metal particles.

We bought our dishwasher in Nov of 2013. It worked fine until June of 2016, then it would not run. I called Samsung and told them of the problem, after about one hour on the phone they said they would send a repairman from an authorized repair shop according to them. Two weeks later he came and did a evaluation of the machine and determined that the touch panel circuit board was not working and would order the part. I told him that the dishwasher was out of warranty but Samsung warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years and we have over 2 years left. The part came to my home and I called dependable services to make arrangements to have it installed. They came out a couple of days later and replaced the new part then tried to charge me 291.65 for the part and the service call after almost a day of figuring out who was going to pay for it.Samsung agreed that it was covered. Because if I had to pay for it I was having the serviceman take it out and forget about it. For that price I could add another couple of hundred dollars and get a new one. Well the machine worked about 3 weeks doing about 15 washes and broke again. Same symptoms. I called dependable services. They came out a couple of days later. Repairman looked somewhere else on machine and decided that it was two relay switches on another circuit board that needed to be replaced. He also tried to get Samsung to replace it and their comment was, We repaired once at our cost we are not doing it twice. The price for this repair was 338.00.Needless to say it was not repaired. I will replace with another brand of dishwasher. This dishwasher replaced a ge brand that came with the new home and never had a problem with except it was noisy. Did a great job of cleaning. I just want everyone to know my problems with Samsung and let buyer beware. I will NOT be buying another Samsung appliance in the future and will tell all my family and friends my story and beg them not to purchase a Samsung appliance product.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years ago. I didnt have terrible problems with it until now. However, the freezer & ice making were never totally acceptable. Now, the fan is making a very loud noise every time the fan comes on. The repairmen Ive spoken to universally say that Im lucky that the refrigerator has lasted this long. One said, he wouldnt take a free Samsung if it were offered to him. In order for him to repair the fan, I have to empty and turn off my unit for at least 36 hours otherwise he would be unable to remove the shroud around the fan. 10 months after purchase contacted Samsung 11 months after purchase. Convection fan quit working. Oven wont reach temperature set for oven for example set for 400 but real temperature is 310. Does not cook properly due to oven problem and when it does cook it cooks unevenly. Cooked a meal and turned off oven. Came back 1/2 hour later, glass top was so hot that I could not put my hand on the glass top. I opened the oven door to cool it off and heat pour out of the oven for about 10 minutes (in pulses) and had to switch off breaker in electrical panel. Every so often when temperatures are not working properly the breaker has to be switched off and then on again to reset everything. Call center people generally dont know what they are talking to. Went through them several times then finally got a repair man to visit us. Had to run him down about 3 weeks later and he didnt remember coming to our house and the parts were not ordered.Back to Call Center, general runaround again. Had to check progress a couple of times online. Got very stupid and uninformed answers from them. Finally bugged them long enough that The Presidents Office called and said they would replace the stove. When I asked approximately how long she couldnt tell me.... 10 days or 2 weeks. Would be couriered to our home from their warehouse.....4 hours away??? 10 days later did a follow up and got an e-mail back: This e-mail is to remind you to return your Samsung NE595R0ABWW/AC/ SN: J0WG7DCC - It has been over 7 days and we still have not received the product. If you already sent your defective unit, please disregard this e-mail. Please be sure to return your set as soon as possible to the following address with the prepaid shipping label we e-mailed you.Never received the e-mail the phantom e-mail with shipping label (Why would I ship the stove out without the replacement being here). I phoned the repair station to where I was suppose to send the stove, it was 1 1/2 hours away and it would go right by one of their other stores only 40 minutes from our home. Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.

Weve owned this fridge since 3/29/10. Weve had nothing but problems with it ever since. Every time theres a power failure in our area, the digital panel needs to be reset, which has been a difficult process to accomplish. Last June, our freezer started making loud rattling type noise. I had to have the Defrost Sensor replaced as it was faulty and causing excess ice to build up on the fan in the interior of the freezer. Well, now the freezer is doing the very same thing. I called Samsung again last night expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction with this fridge thats only two years old! Since my unit is out of warranty, they originally told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them thats what I was told last June when I called with the freezer issue and at that time, I was given a warranty extension and the repair was made free of charge. This time, after insistence on my end, I was offered again a free repair or a refund prorated of my purchase price. I chose the refund since Ive had enough with the issues with this fridge. I paid $899.99 for the fridge on sale from Sears, it was originally $1299.99. I was offered a prorated refund of $719.99, which reflects a 10% depreciation for each year of ownership. I said, I think Samsung should stand behind their product and give me a full refund of my purchase price since this fridge has been brought with issues for the last 2 years. I was told a prorated refund was my best option. I now am waiting for the refund check to come in the mail and then go shopping for another fridge. I will never ever buy any Samsung products again. Once I have my new fridge in place, I then have to cut the power cord off my fridge and mail that and the serial number sticker from the interior of the fridge back to Samsung. Their refrigerators should not be allowed to be sold any where.

My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!

Purchased a Samsung Model ME21H706MQS microwave oven and stove in October 2017. The microwave replaced a (what I thought was junk) Whirlpool microwave that was nine years old. The Samsung was higher above the stove and met all Samsung installation requirements. Thanksgiving Day comes, cooking for family and friends and the bottom of the microwave and door melts! We contacted Samsung many times, each time speaking to different people and on several occasions receiving different ticket numbers. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. We remain hopeful that Samsung will agree to correct this apparent design flaw and show us that they are willing to stand behind their highly taunted refrigerator.

In Nov the wife and I bought a new fridge from Warners Stellian... The old one was getting a bit worn. So we settled on a Samsung bottom freezer model that has an internal ice maker and filtered water dispenser. We got it delivered, set up, and running no problem. It took about 3 days of running water through the system to get it tasting like decent water to start with. One week to the day after delivery, the water dispenser stopped working. We called Warner Stellian and they scheduled a tech to come out in just over a week. The tech looked at it, couldnt figure out why the part wasnt working the way it should be, and said hed order a new one. A week later we get a call from them and they told us that the part wasnt in and due to Samsung redesigning the part we would be getting a brand new fridge. I scheduled a tech from both Warner Stellian and Samsung to come look at it. The guy from Samsung was supposed to be here before the other guy so I was happy. The morning the tech was supposed to come out from Samsung, he was going to call me before 9 to tell me what time he would be here. At 9:30 I texted them and told them I hadnt gotten a call. SHe texted me back and said she would reach out to him. Three hours later I still hadnt heard anything, so I texted again. She texted me back and said Oh Im sorry. The tech called in sick today and we didnt find out about it till a short time ago. WTF???? Three weeks later we finally get the new one. Before they left after delivering it I made sure it worked the way it should. One week to the day after getting it delivered and set up, the water dispenser stopped working. Turns out the redesign wasnt actually a redesign. The work-around the company put out wasnt done on this particular model. The tech puts in a stopgap to at least allow the water to work until they can get the right part in. A week and a half later, they get the part and schedule the tech to come out. He replaces the part and its working again. The fridge worked great for about 3 weeks until last Sunday. We noticed the freezer wasnt working right, then realized the fridge wasnt cooling either. So the tech comes out yesterday, and says he cant figure out exactly what it is. EIther the compressor or the main board. So they have ordered both parts. The parts will arrive in 3-5 business days and then who knows how long it will take for the tech to come out and actually replace the part. Carissa and my grandson are here this week, they arrived last Thursday. So now what food I was able to save is down in the garage in boxes or our chest freezer. My warranty has a provision that allows us to claim $250 worth of groceries but that is a drop in the bucket. Its daily trips to the store because we dont want to keep anything for too long. The food we would have replaced isnt yet because I dont have a place to put it. Warners Stellian says the company has to ok a return of the item and they said since its a new fridge, they will fix it. Their customer support tells me Im sorry for your inconvenience, I hope it can be fixed very soon, or My apologies for this experience.

3 out of 4 were damaged then replaced by Lowes. Then one year later just out of warranty, the dishwasher is not turning off. It just continues to run and try to drain. Dishes were never clean and they never dry! Refrigerator is leaking too! It is very hard to change filter and finally got someone to do it and now it leaks and it went into freezer and froze!!! What a mess!!! Then I called three appliance people who will not service Samsung anymore because it takes too long to get parts and then part are sometimes not the right ones... Grrrrrrr. What a huge waste of money. Microwave fogs up too when i have something on the stove.

I purchased a Samsung FlexZone a year ago. Over the past few months it has been shutting down. First the freezer got warm then the bottom fridge got warm and now the whole thing is at sixty degrees and we are throwing out food. I have had a tech out and have a diagnosis. Every time I call Samsung to have them set up a tech to come out and fix it I get, We will call you in one to three days. And thats as far as it goes... Now Im without a fridge. You need to stand behind your product.
