My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad
My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad that its starting to rust the outer door where water has been dripping down from the ice dispenser on to the outer door. Called and they said it would cost me well over $300.00 to fix it. They didnt say anything about the rust on the door. Even though the warranty is up, this is crazy. We just had a service guy come out on yesterday about another issue with the TwinCooling Plus panel on the inside back wall. That was $309.00. Three hundred here and three hundred there adds up to a lot. Also the warranty on this is only for a year. Have a lot of Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. But this will make me think twice on Samsung.

I purchased my Samsung electric range Model NE597R0ABSR in September of 2014 from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas. Last week on 08/10/2017 the oven suddenly caught on fire when I turned the oven on. Nothing in the oven. The control panel read that the temperature of the oven was only 275 degrees. I just heard a clicking noise and then a small boom and I could see my oven was on fire through the glass. Smoke alarm went off, and I got the fire out without getting hurt. The heating element in the oven had caught fire on its left side and was melted. The lens around the light was also scorched and then there was all the damage to the walls of the oven being scorched, the oven door glass was also scorched and damaged. I was very lucky that I was still in my kitchen when it caught fire or else I imagine more damage would have occurred to my kitchen and home. Of course being 3 years old it was no longer under warranty, but from the number of complaints on this same issue with Samsung ranges which not only includes my model number but other Samsung models it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I called Samsung customer service 1-800-726-7864 and told them what happened and they said it was no longer under warranty. I said to them that it looked like a manufacturing defect and was told well manufacturing defects were only covered for 1 year (ridiculous). The stove is a fire hazard. I unplugged the stove after I got the fire out. Then the Samsung customer service rep I talked to the 3rd time finally said that they would sent an authorized repair service to my home to evaluate the damage. Samsung would pay for the service evaluation and the labor to replace the parts, BUT NOT THE PARTS. Turned out that when the tech took the back off of the stove, it was the wiring harness that had been on fire also, plus the circuit board was damaged and that was just what he could see without taking it apart any further. Turned out the circuit board, the wiring harness and oven heating element parts would be a whopping $420.00. That was just the beginning, then there would be another $60 charge for the tech to come back. I told the repair service I was not paying for any parts and would not be having the stove repaired and it was ridiculous for me to have to pay anything at all for Samsungs negligence in manufacturing a stove with so many defects. An electric stove should never just catch on fire because the oven was turned on, and the wiring harness shouldnt have caught fire ever. That $1000.00 stove should have lasted more than 3 years. Samsung obviously does not care about their customers, or their well being, and I will never buy another Samsung product. So many of their appliances have exploded, caught on fire that it is ridiculous that these same products continue to be sold to the unsuspecting US public.

We have a full set of Samsung black stainless kitchen appliances. We bought them two years ago. We have had the dishwasher face and bottom doors on fridge and stove replaced twice under warranty for peeling. Stove peeling again. Now we are told it’s cosmetic and not covered. If we had known it was just a film over stainless we would not have purchased. We are $4500 in appliances that look like crap. Samsung will NEVER get another dime from us.

Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunda
Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.

I bought a Samsung side by side Refrigerator over a year ago from Lowes. Had lots of noise coming from it in the first week. I called Lowes and they refer me to Samsung. They walk me through all kind of process over the phone saying it wasnt on the right setting. They send 2 tech out at different times and they didnt know what to do coming up with all kind of crap. The noise coming from the appliance gives you headaches. I spoke to samsung over a month again and no one came out yet. I was told I have to pay for the service and repairs. It not fair for us as customers to have something break down in the first years and have to come out of pocket when it cost us thousand of dollars. My house sounds like you starting up a crop duster in it. Please help us as customers. Thank you.

My Samsung Fridge Model #RS265TDRS started acting up after about a one year
My Samsung Fridge Model #RS265TDRS started acting up after about a one year. I noticed our milk spoiled prematurely along with other items in the fridge. I remember hearing the fan in the fridge sound louder than usual just a couple of days prior to this. It appears the coils have froze up with ice causing the fan to ice up also stopping it from spinning causing a domino affect. I will have to locate the receipt and upload at a later time. I see this is a very very common problem with Samsung. This was not a cheap fridge and to be having this issue this early is ludicrous. I have the unit turned off and am allowing it to fully thaw before restarting it and seeing how long it lasts this time. Very Very angry & disappointed with Samsung.

WE purchased a Samsung oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave 5 years ago. We have now been told, that the heating element part for our oven has been discontinued and not available. I called Samsungs recommended parts supplier and the part was not in stock. I called two reputable appliance repairs shops and they informed me that the part was discontinued by Samsung and not available. So after only 5 years, we need to purchase a new oven/range. It will not be a Samsung.

We have had this fridge for less than 3 years, as early as 6 months from when we bought it the ice maker would stop working and the fan would get loud, after having a service tech out he said it was a common issue with these as they constantly do this, so I went on line and found numerous people with the french door and ice maker combo have the same issue--Seems like a design flaw, but Samsung doesnt seem to do anything about it. So usually once every 6-8 months I would have to dump the entire fridge/freezer (we keep an old fridge in the basement essentially to allow for this) and unplug the fridge and allow it to thaw out overnight, then I remove the back panel of the fridge (inside) and thaw the cooling unit out with a hair dryer, re-assemble it and we are good to go.The last year we seem to be needing to do this every 2-3 months, I had to do it tonight after 5 weeks--This is ridiculous. My wife said, Wow you are getting really fast at taking this apart and thawing out the cooling unit--While this was meant as a compliment, its kind of crazy that I need to become fast or good at thawing out the fridge--The one in the basement thats 15 years old I never have to touch--The thing is we own a Kitchen cabinet business and we always have to recommend appliances to clients, guess what we DO NOT recommend to them, 1) samsung appliances in general (just replaces 4 year old samsung washer/dryer set) (2) fridges with ice makers. So please do your self a favour and do not buy this fridge. Samsung needs to stop making the RF25HMEDBSR OR ANY UNIT SIMILAR AS ITS A PIECE OF JUNK.

Samsung Model # RFG298HDRS/XAA / French doors and bottom freezer - Ice accumulates on the floor of the freezer and jams the door from closing and causing the freezer to run continuously as well as defrosts food inside. Unknown cause... Same thing was happening to our Samsung refrigerator, until water began to build up in the line and pour out. I had to turn the water off going to the refrigerator. The water valve is leaking. There is a Service Bulletin with Samsung... A S C 201 202 22 002. There appears to be a problem with the Valve Assembly and will need to be replaced along with the control board. I have only had the unit for 2 years. Disappointed with this product.

Machine has never cleaned dishes from day one and now it needs 600.00 worth of repairs. A fault code 7E keeps being logged and that will take a drive motor and circuit board replacement. Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Very disappointed in performance of product purchased from what I thought was a reputable company. Ill never buy Samsung anything again.

We bought an elec. Samsung stove top and oven combo because home was wired for elec. We had a Whirlpool before and it was great. This $2000.00 Samsung is pure junk. Burners are way too hot and cycle on and off all the time. The surface is also very hard to clean. We like nothing about this thing. Please dont buy. It is the absolutely awful. It looks good but, that the only good thing we have to say about it. Just would like one that works like a stove top should and be somewhat easy to clean with a constant temp. Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

We ordered a new Samsung dishwasher from AJ Madison. We ordered it, received it on 11/28/12. My husband installed it that night. The next evening, I loaded it, ran it and opened it. Soap was never released. I ran it again, and it was the same thing. The little door never popped open to release soap. I called the next morning. The girl from Samsung didnt really know why but theres a sensor & if its blocked, maybe it would not be released (she couldnt tell me where sensor was located). Now, its Sunday, 12/2/12. I ran it again, making sure there was nothing too tall or blocking - same thing. I called & a service call must be set up. This lady said the other person lied - there is no sensor, only for water level. She gave me the name of the service company & number. They would call the next day. The guy left his name & number. I tried several times to call him & the service company (the phone rings continuously & I cant leave voice mail). I called Samsung again - a lengthy call. It turns out its not that company. Its a different one. Dont you think I should be told this? They have my number, & I was told I should call them to set it up. We set up for Saturday. AJ Madison called & said they dont have a repair company that works on Saturdays & I had one for Monday. No one told me about that. Monday was not good for me. We called Samsung up . Well, we had to argue, of course, but some nice guy came on Saturday, 12/8/12, and said, The part is broken; it needs to be ordered & replaced (he doesnt have it in truck). When the part comes in, someone will come back & replace it. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model, clearance center, or scratch & dent. Many, many, many phone calls to both Samsung (who is giving us the runaround) and AJ Madison (who is giving us the runaround) have left us with a broken new Samsung dishwasher which has only been used 3x and is broken from the start. I ordered this & think I should have some right to getting one that works the first time correctly (not broken). Im still washing by hand. Furthermore, we have offered AJ Madison to take it back & we are willing to spend more money w/ them & get something else (my husband is even willing to bring it to them). They will not do that if it can be repaired again. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model or scratch & dent. We are extremely dissatisfied w/ both companies. I should have some right to get a properly working appliance for my money. We have been greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy with 4 & 1/2 ft water in our home. Now we have to argue & call daily for something that was defective. Give us a break.

The ice maker in this fridge stopped working shortly after warranty. I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

Although my Samsung Refrigerator (Model RF217ACRS) looks great and worked fine for a while, the fridge is a lemon. Do not buy a Samsung fridge. Even though I have had two visits from a professional and had one part replaced, the fridge suffers from major ice buildup problems. At first it was ice and water in the bottom of the fridge. Later it was ice buildup that cut off the flow of cold air. The machine needs to be unplugged and defrosted on a regular basis which is extremely annoying. The machine has power but is not dependable.

I bet we havent used the dishwasher 10 times. We bought it before the condo was finished remodeling. It sat there until the builder could finish so the warranty is right at a year. Even tho we havent been in our condo a year. Its a beach condo so we are not here all the time. You literally have to slam the door to get it started. It washes for 2.58 hours according to the button on top. (If you can get it to run). It stops and starts. We have called Samsung did everything they suggested by unplugging it. Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was repaired. Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again. I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they cant give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). Im pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and dont make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO dont buy a fridge from a company who makes TVs and phones, lets put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Dont let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsungs warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come repair your fridge is no good.

When I complained to them that they make dates and do not honor them, the customer service operator just said I am just the messenger and there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager but the manager was too busy and could not talk to me. They would call me back. They never did. I called back and finally got a manager. There was no offer of help. On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

This is a French door refrigerator, with a bottom freezer (and a drawer within a drawer), plus a middle drawer thats perfect for snacks or things you want often. Water and ice are in the door and the water filter is at waist level for easy changing. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. The only thing I might change is the amount of ice that this fridge makes, but that is a trade off for the slim design of the ice maker, allowing more door storage. I love this refrigerator! Whats not to like?!

Called Samsung, would not replace. Had 18 techs out to try and fix the problems. 4 times we have replaced the auger, motor, ice maker, sealers, epoxy, defrost sensor and evaporator cover. It is getting ridiculous. Bought brand new July 2016 and it has not stopped having problems. Water leaking out of ice maker filling up canal leaking all over fridge build up corrosion and all over floor, lost lots of food. Top shelf freezing. Crackling, popping or clicking sound. Ice build up. Slushy ice comes out. Ice spews out all over. Leak in bins and under bins and on and in freezer.

My Samsung refrigerator is 3 years and 2 months old exactly. It stopped making ice this week. I went online and followed directions on how to hit the reset button. Nothing happened so I called Samsung Support. They asked me to hit the reset button again. Nothing happened, so they opened a ticket and told me I would have to pay $80 to have a tech diagnose the problem. There was no further attempt at phone troubleshooting. The tech showed up and asked me to power cycle the unit by turning off the breaker and turning it back on. The ice machine immediately dumped ice. If the FIRST PERSON I talked to did their job and SUGGESTED I POWER CYCLE the unit, I WOULDN’T BE OUT $80!!! I am infuriated.

Now 2 weeks after the last repair the refrigerator does not work at all.

We had our Samsung range for 7 years. Overall we had been fairly happy with it. Until a few nights ago when it lit on fire. It was an electrical fire in the back of the oven. Thankfully we caught this early and there was minimal damage to my home. Samsung would not stand behind this device at all. I would recommend avoiding Samsung for ranges/ovens in the future. From reviewing this thread and others, seems like this has happened to other people as well.

We bought a new Samsung convection microwave, Model MC17J8000CS, and a Samsung refrigerator, Model RF4287HARS/XAA, which was delivered Sept. 14, 2016. Microwave - Suddenly stopped in middle of heating vegetables 13 months after purchase (last night). Great! Refrigerator - Frequently, the middle drawer gets hung up and won’t close without a few tries. Just don’t open it too far and keep trying. You’ll get it; well, I always have. If you change from CRUSHED ice to CUBED ice, be ready for NO ice to drop into your glass. Open the door and you get your ice. Yes, it’s all over your feet and the floor but at least you know where it is. On the positive side, I think they’re attractive appliances. My husband thinks they spot too easily but I’m ok with that. In all fairness, he is the one who cleans them.

I called Samsung and they sent electronic tech out after 2 weeks but they could not fix the problem. They came back 2 more times. Total of 2 months of waiting for the stove to get fixed. Next tech put in a heater to keep the reservoir for the water from freezing. Next the space saver ice maker quit. It got replaced. Next event was the control panel went out. It was replaced Sept. 2012. Now Jan. 2015 the control panel is out again. Weve called several service companies, including Sears Blue Crew, but no one services our area; they used to. At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigera
I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigerator (no cooling in the freezer or the fridge, alternatively or simultaneously, water accumulating in one of the produce bins) are actually very widespread. Worse still, we had purchased TWO of these duds before the problems began. We bought our first RF217 in September 2010 (#1), and the second one for our weekend house in July 2012 (#2). Almost immediately after buying #1, I noticed a small amount of water in the right-hand-side produce bin, which would accumulate over about a week (on average) to the point of requiring removal and emptying of the drawer. I didnt think much about it at first, believing I just needed to make some adjustment.Within 3 months of buying #2, we came home from a weekend in the country to find that the FREEZER (and only the freezer) of #1 (which was two years old and out of warranty by then) had stopped working while we were away, and heated to approximately 50 degrees. We called Samsung and went through a troubleshooting sequence, but nothing worked and they referred us to outside service people. We were surprised by the reluctance on the part of the repair people to work on it; we had to call three different ones before one was willing to come out. THREE visits over three weeks later, we finally had a fully working refrigerator again, and the water accumulation in the bin had stopped. In the winter of 2012 (only 6 months after buying it), I noticed one morning that #2 seemed warm when I opened it, even though the digital display showed the temperature at which I had set it. I remembered the trick the repair people had taught me, which was to unplug the unit and plug it back in to get an ACTUAL reading of the temperatures in the fridge and freezer; they were in 50ish and 25ish respectively. As I waited for Lowes (where we had purchased #2 along with an extended service plan) to open so that I could call them for help, I heard the refrigerator come back on. This went on two more times over that weekend, so we emptied out the unit before leaving. This happened again with #2 while we were at the house, and we have no way of knowing how often it has happened since. Now, #1 is doing the same thing. The refrigerator is warm; when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, the digital display read 63 and 27 for the fridge and freezer respectively. After about an hour, I heard the motor start again and the temperatures are back to normal. At this point, we have lost all faith in this refrigerator and the ability to repair it, so we are going out to buy a new one. I am completely horrified to find that stores are still selling it, and deeply disgusted with the fact that Samsung is not acknowledging that there is a problem.I am not sure that my words can convey the utter disgust my husband and I feel with respect to Samsung as a company. We will never buy anything they make, ever again, and we say so to anyone with whom the conversation arises.

They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. In 2018, it started the same thing, NO ICE and frozen up again. The warranty dept sent techs out on 3 different occasions that year, still NOT WORKING properly. The warranty dept said there was nothing else they could do and we would be getting a refund check in the mail.We received a check for $1400 from Samsung this year, called and asked why not a full refund, were told the techs that had been sent the 4 trips to REPAIR totaled the balance of the total cost of $2500 we originally paid for the refrigerator. I had not used the oven in several days. I had not banged or even touched the oven door. Is it still safe to use the cooktop? We immediately went to the electrical box and shut off the breaker as we didnt know what had caused the glass to break when there wasnt any heat in the oven. We have called Sears and they will send out a repairman sometime in the next 24 to 48 hours. In the meantime I am without a stove and will have to use the microwave or barbecue to prepare meals.

Ice maker in fridge circuit board shorted out and caused house fire. Lost everything in my home. Samsung rep came and investigated and took ice maker from fridge and said not the cause! Fire marshal reports said ice maker was cause. A service tech also said cause was fridge! You should Google Samsung icemaker fires and watch all the complaints.

Samsung NE59K3310 Electric Range - Just bought it brand new from Lowes and the oven never gets up to the set temperature. When the beeps ring out that it is at set temp we only get 200 degrees and wait for over 15 minutes to get to 335 degrees. We bought an oven temperature gauge to test it. I followed the factory adjustment procedure and increased it by 15 degrees. Now the oven takes 30min to get to 350 degrees but drops to under 300 degrees within five minutes and doesnt come back up. Before I called to get it fixed I googled Samsung ovens and find so many defective units. Its mind boggling. I have decided to return it to Lowes and buy a GE, Whirlpool, Maytag or ANYTHING else. The other problem is the amount of pressure it takes to activate the controls. Being male with no fingernails makes it easier, but my darling has to use her knuckle to press to get enough pressure to activate the controls.

Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

In November of this year I bought a Samsung fridge side-by-side with the bottom drawer and noticed three months later that the fridge drawer was discolouring, you’re not the same colour of the stainless steel as the rest of the fridge. I called them to complain and get this fixed and they said this was a cosmetic issue and it’s not covered. All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. Buyer beware. I will never buy Samsung products again and neither will my family members.

We bought a high-end stainless steel double door with freezer drawer. In less than two years we began to hear a noise coming from the fan. We called Samsung and got transferred to five different people. In this lengthy process, we found out that our refrigerator was made in Canada. We bought the refrigerator from Lowe’s in Honolulu. Shortly after we called for a repair appointment, the fan stopped working and hundreds of dollars worth of food got ruined. Refrigerators are supposed to be made to last, at least, ten years. Samsung is an embarrassment to its country a should be ashamed. I will never buy another Samsung appliance and will be wary of buying their electronic products as well. Shame on Samsung for making an inferior product.

I bought my Samsung DW80F600 less than 2 years ago. Last month I had to have it repaired, calling Samsung is an exercise in futility, on hold forever, excuses, being put on hold to see what they can do, etc., etc. Finally I get passed off to their service contractors and they come out to repair the dishwasher, it seems to work but within 3 weeks same problem happens again. Clearly it was not correctly repaired. This time I google the symptoms and it seems it is a pump problem, not what was fixed last time. Call Samsung and they want another service fee of $100 to fix same exact problem from 3 weeks ago. My answer to is trash this dishwasher and start over. Cant believe this appliance didnt even make it 2 years. I really wish I didnt also have a Samsung refrigerator and range. Dont make my mistake. My new motto is anything but Samsung.

I purchase a double door refrigerator model digital inverter with 10 years warranty on 16-09-2013 but before 3 months (after purchasing approx 6 month) I noticed the fruit tray was cracked. I complaint to customer care but customer care representative said our company has not covered plastic part under warranty. He demanded rs. 2000/- to replace the tray. After some time I like a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. Sir, I dont understand what is the problem in this fridge. I think this fault is from the company... Pls check your product. Before one year your plastic part was cracked automatically... but your staff said this is not covered by us... Pls tell me what I do... what is my fault? (purchasing your great company Refrigerator) Pls solve my matter.

On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged. Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. ITS A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. Prior to that, I owned a Kenmore without a single repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and on hold for as long as 45 minutes to no avail. I would NEVER buy a Samsung product again!

I bought this stove in 2014 and have had nothing but problems from the start. The model is NE58F9500SS. We had a glass top that was 20 years old so we wanted an update. Nothing wrong with the old stove, the glass top was still in fantastic shape. Had the Samsung a couple of weeks and it started showing major scratches. Very upsetting but accepted that I made a bad choice. But the amount of times Ive turned the stove on just by walking by is unacceptable. Tonight our house could have burnt down. NEVER leave anything on the stove, I had an oven mitt on the stove, never thought anything of it, 2 minutes later the mitt is in flames,so scary. I will always have the knobs off when l am not cooking. I just cant trust it. Please stay away from this product especially if there are children in the house.

I bought Samsung Refrigerator RF26XAEBP in 2010. Less than three years into ownership the compressor needed replacement. Four years into the ownership, the refrigerator started to collect water inside, under bottom drawers as a result of a known design flaw. Samsungs warranty is good only for a year and Samsung would not repair or replace even those refrigerators that were faulty when manufactured if the repair/replacement is requested past the one-year warranty. Customer Service was grossly incompetent, coldly bureaucratic, and well versed in reciting legalese warranty language. Needless to say, Samsung brand will never again be welcome at our homes.

Got fridge delivered and moved it in two weeks later due to remodel. No ice. Called service center again and again and each time given instructions on resetting the thing. Nothing. Then finally got service ticket and supposed to get call. No call. Called Samsung back. Said allow 48 hours for the call. 72 hours - no call. Still waiting on call. Samsung confirms ticket number and contact information. Service people on the phone treat you like an idiot. One guaranteed me that changing the temperature on the ice maker would solve the problem. Another told me the wires on top of the door hinges were the problem. Reset the icemaker about ten times. Water in the door is fine. Another one said it was not getting water. There is only one water supply line. Another said maybe the unit is not level. What bull that was. Nothing works.

Don’t buy Samsung! They are not responsible nor do they take ownership for their manufacturers defects. After only 3 years all 5 knobs have broken on my range purchased Dec 31 2015. I cannot use the range and Samsung refuses to acknowledge ownership for poor quality or replace the knobs. It is a simple task that costs less than $5 yet they are willing to lose business over $5. It seems they do not value their customers. In 25 years I have never had any knob break on my ranges. Even the cheapest of Frigidaire ranges are sturdier and better built than this Samsung model that I purchased through Costco for $1,100. Very disappointed in Samsung’s customer service. All my appliances are Samsung (dishwasher, fridge, tv, phone, etc) and this is the customer loyalty they show. Disgraceful. The service call was escalated and they still refused to even make a compromise. “I’m sorry, that’s what the 1 year warranty is for,” doesn’t seem to cut it. They have lost a long time customer.

I purchased my range 4 yrs ago. I love my Samsung TVs so, I thought the range would be great. No way!!!! I love to cook and consider myself a pretty tasty chef. This range has made good cooking a challenge. The heating units on this range turn bright red even on Low. This poor control means you cannot simmer a pot on low because it will burn!!! I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!

The stove is great and the heating element works well. I like the flexibility provided by having multiple pot sizes on each eye of the range as it provides for quick and even heating without any overkill. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. The oven also has a convection feature that I greatly appreciate as well. My only complaint on my stove is that for some reason the oven light blows quickly regardless of how often you use it. I have replaced the light numerous times within 6 months and I have just stopped using it.

My Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model # RF32FMQDBSR/AA quit cooling after 12.5 months of use. It took two months and two visits from the technician to determine that the problem was with the sealed refrigeration system. The first trip the technician replace a circuit board and left immediately. This did not fix the problem. Communication with the Samsung provided service technician was very poor. At first the technician has excuses for not coming back then he just did not respond to calls. I called Samsung and requested another service company. They referred me back to the same guy. After each call I was would be called within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. He did eventually come back (it has now been two months) and changed the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. He said the problem was in the sealed refrigeration system and could not be repaired. So I Called Samsung to ask how this would be handled. The sealed refrigeration system has a five year warranty. First, I was told that they would exchange the unit and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Nothing! So I called back and they said they wanted a second opinion from a second technician and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again no response. So I called again and They had referred me back to the same company as before. When I told them that this is the same company as before they said they would look for another company and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again I had to call them to get a status. They said that they did not have a second company in the area to get the second opinion; therefore, they could not exchange the unit, and that I would be getting a refund instead. Every time I call it just gets worse. They say I will only get a partial refund. So I asked if the unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system how come I cannot get an exchange or get it repaired. Samsung customer executive care said the warranty is not valid because there is no service available in my area to fix the sealed system. You think they would replace it. Nope! It has now been over three months and I am waiting on the emails with the instructions on how I am to proceed.

RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws
RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws, and we have had nothing but problems with it. The first unit purchased from Lowes in mid 2008 (with the extended warranty) lasted less than a year. The ice maker stopped working and when the repairman pulled the unit out, the entire new Brazilian teak hardwood flooring underneath was warped and wet from an internal slow leak that was probably missed as it came off the assembly line. Lowes brought a brand new 2009 unit, hauled the faulty one away and provided a credit to fix the flooring. Fast forward to Sept. 2014 (one month out of warranty)... Fridge/freezer stop cooling altogether with no error codes. I caught it just in time to keep everything inside from spoiling completely. To fix the sealed compressor system will be $1000. The external ice/water dispenser is also showing major signs of corrosion (leaking from the inside out), even though this is supposed to be 100% stainless steel... Nothing we have tried will clean it.At this point we have transitioned back to our faux stainless steel 10+ year old side by side in the garage. The Energy Star, digital inverter compressor technology is nothing but headache and money wasted for the end consumer. This unit was produced to be super insulated with one of the largest capacities available. It is now a $2800 decoration, and like most people, I expect an appliance with that price tag to last much longer than 5 years. The issues I have listed echo numerous complaints all over internet forums. We have spent over $10,000 on Samsung products in the past 10 years, but with this incident we no longer have any confidence in their products. In other words, give me old skool. I could have purchased 5 of my mothers fridges for the amount I spent on this piece of junk... and hers is 20 years old.
